not sick.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Is the smoke getting to you?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
I mean it's real, that's what You're not wearing your
mask out here in these l a streets right now,
are you?
Speaker 5 (03:41):
I am only problem. This is a Batman mask. I
don't think it's really cough that's gonna work. That's what
you get for trying to wear the Batman mask with
her too. Yeah, he wants me to over here, goofyead
that's what it is. Yeah, she wants the goofy Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
But yeah, man, we can feel, like I said, man,
feeling good and that things can go crazy overnight and
ready to get to the show man.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
We got some hot topics to get to, no doubt.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
All right, let's welcome in the Odd Couple crew on
this trash Talking Tuesday. Rob g of course, is our producer.
Steve the Saga is at the anchor desk. He'll keep
us updated throughout the program. Hey, Steve, that's right. Elijah
is our social media guru, one of the best in
the business.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Never heard you something? What if the beef of that?
I don't know, Alex just never heard of him? You
never heard of them? But let me say this.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Elijah last night put together the clip about the Steelers
being run by Fred Flintstone or whatever. And you know,
we had that picture of Fred with Mike Tomlin and
even in the comments, people are like that thumb nail.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
My god, I just can't.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Even get past the thumb nail. No, he's on point,
that's no point. I just was telling Covino. He was laughing.
He was like, yo, you call Justin Herbert, Justin Sherbert.
And I was like, dang, Elijah got that up quick,
like he don't play around best of the business, even
though we never heard.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Of them, no doubt.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
And of course on the ones and twos, Uh, why
you bug.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Bugging? Because she went to.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Uh logding and you know on all that one little trip,
one little trip playing let's do this all right?
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
What we got Sam Darnold, you know the game, the Rams,
we get it.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
He got sacked nine times. Just an awful night.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Yeah, and uh Minnesota Vikings worst nightmare of fans. It
was their worst nightmare. Is that the guy who put
together this unbelievable season. Most people picked them to be
last in the NFC North am I right?
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Most most people picked the Viking right there, Bears, but
a lot of people have.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Okay, So instead they go on this unbelievable run and
what were they fourteen and three and had a great season,
and they lose game eighteen to the line that could
have been the number one seed, had a buy not
even be playing the Rams or Bions would have been
playing Rams, right but Detroit Okay, but it didn't work out.
(06:05):
So Sam Donald, after having a tremendous season, right after
bouncing around, after being the top pick with the Jets,
been bouncing around, can't find a home.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
He nails it.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
He has an unbelievable, out of nowhere season, and of
course it goes up in smoke and in flames.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
And I'm not the only one who said it.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
I mean, my god, even Troy Aikman and on the
broadcast right we're talking about it everybody. I even saw
a clip from a sportscaster in Minneapolis who said it
was like the two thousand and eight crash of the
stock market.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
That's what he said.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
He was like, Sam Donald just had a two thousand
and eight crash, like the stock market had lost everything.
So you know, there's a lot of talk about Sam Donald,
and you know what's gonna happen. And what do you
do if you're the Minnesota Vikings. You have JJ McCarthy,
And I'll tell you this is not an overreaction or
a prisoner of the moment. I'm out on Sam Darnold
(07:09):
and I am not nt going to offer him a
franchise tag. Okay, when they drafted JJ McCarthy from Michigan,
they moved up to get him. They obviously thought there
was something there that they would move up because they
really wanted this kid.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Okay, you're building a team, you got to have a quarterback,
and you say to yourself, it's not going to cost
me a fortune.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
He's on the rookie deal. Correct.
Speaker 6 (07:36):
Correct.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Here's the other thing, and this is what they always say, Oh,
you can build a team when you don't have a
quarterback who's making a lot of money. We just saw
this with the forty nine ers. Didn't we see this?
Speaker 1 (07:50):
You're saying the same didn't ball out kind of thing
with no that they decided, Okay, we'll go with Brock
Purty for no money.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
They had already gone.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
To the Super Bowl, right, and they decided that we'll
move on and we'll go with the mister irrelevant, and
we have such talent around and a play calling and
we have all the stuff that you want that we
don't have to rely. This isn't about a quarterback. It's
(08:23):
about our system. It's about what we do here. We
have a dynamic, one of the best Jefferson, one of
the best receivers, if not the best right in the game.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
It's about what we do here.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
We could add any quarterback or almost any quarterback, add
Water and Stir and we're going to be good. This
ain't no one off. This ain't just about Sam Darnold.
I wouldn't spend the money. He turned into a pumpkin,
and I'm not cutting the eyes out.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
I'm not gonna take out the filling and make a pie.
I'm done. I'm good.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, I'm not gonna be prisoner of the moment in
the last couple of games and ignore what he did
the other what sixteen games outside of that Lions game,
which was really the worst game.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I mean that was bad.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Last night was bad, but it was it was You
could tell he was under siege, like it was literally
sacked every time, and he still ended up with you
know what, two forty five touchdown interception.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
But to me, I have a guy.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
First of all, I ain't saw it on JJ McCarthy
in the sense of man, I told you I saw
every snap for him at Michigan.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
And I had a buddy text me last night.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
He said, he texted me and he said, boy, it's
gonna be funny when Minnesota think they got something with JJ.
And this is my same friend who is a massive
Michigan fan. His father was connected to the organization. JJ McCarthy.
I don't know where people see something here and I'm
a fan. I was you know, it's going for rooting
for Michigan, but's what they do for a living self players.
I'm like, what is going on here where everybody thinks
(09:53):
he's all of a sudden this dynamic guy. Could be wrong, absolutely,
I could be wrong, but I didn't see that all
that time in Michigan, so I'm not. I like what
I saw from Sam Darnald for ninety eight percent of
the season. Now again, there are thirty two starting quarterbacks.
Is he top eight?
Speaker 4 (10:09):
No?
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Meaning everybody can't be Lamar, everybody can't be Patrick Mahomes
or Josh Allen. But what I do need you to
be is competent. What I need you to be is
understanding our system and able to produce, and he showed
that he can do that. Now, what I would like
to consider is franchising him. It's gonna cost me forty
one million dollars, which actually is pretty much nothing at
the rate of quarterbacks right now. I mean you start
(10:31):
to look at what quarterbacks are being paid, and I
mean that would put him right where you would not
you know, you'd be like, all right, that's not a
bad amount of money for one year because you got
guys like Trevor Lawrence who ain't did nothing fifty five million,
Deshaun Watson forty six million, Daniel Jones forty million, Jacoby
Brissett even that was he's too low, so he had
the bottom. So all these other guys making all this
(10:51):
money who haven't done anything. So to me, what does
Sam Darnald do? He just won me fourteen games and
the best record we had in franchise history and got
me into the postseason his first.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Have the Vikings ever been in the postseason? For sure?
Have the Vikings ever been to the Super Bowl? Yes,
I mean they've been with Super Bowl four times.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Okay, I'm just saying like you're at like the franchise
has never been like it's not like the Lions where
they've never been to the super Bowl. Okay, you that
guy will never have to buy a drink. If if
Jared Golf can get the Lines to the super Bowl, you're.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
You're a king Finiso.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
I ain't been in the Super Bowl since what seventy something,
but they have been as my seventy something.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
That's number one, number two. They didn't get to the
it's his first year.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I'm not gonna you're Actually if I got fourteen and
three out of you got us to the postseason, you
threw forty three hundred yards, thirty six touchdowns, twelve interceptions.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Why am I getting rid of that guy?
Speaker 1 (11:45):
I'm not getting rid of the guy who just did
that when I have a coach who I believe can
coach him up. And by the way, a coach who
just got out coached by Aaron Glenn and the Lions defense,
and then also got out coached by Sean McVay, who
has a habit of doing that too many coach, So
they're gonna go back to the daring board.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Kevin O'Connell's gonna get better.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
That offense is gonna the offensive staff is gonna get better,
and so has Sam Donald the opportunity to get better.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Here's what you're I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I'm franchising him, considering it at least forty one million.
See what we got another year, go back up to it.
See what I can get for JJ, or just sit
JJ for another year. See what else is out there
during next season, see what people are calling me about.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
And if ultimately Sam Donald regresses, cool.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
We got him for forty one which is a reasonable
price for a starting quarterback of that caliber, and then
I can get rid of him and JJ enter or
the trade that I would have done. But I'm not
just gonna get rid of him, because now I got
a guy that my coach believes he can work with,
and I got a guy that has again knows the
organization we're heading in the right direction.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
The chances of Sam Donald repeating this season, he just
had an almost zero to repeat what he just did.
This came out of the blue, out of nowhere. You
think he's gonna throw thirty six touchdowns again next year?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Why canny?
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Because I just told me he's got the best receiver.
He's got another really good receiver. He's got a really
good title.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
They are one off. So we talk about it. You
were used to be in the music business. Yeah, there
are people who are one hit wonders and they have
their one hit and you know they can never duplicate it.
Sam Darnold is a one hit wonder. He's not going
to be a record breaker. He's not gonna get a
platinum album.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
That's not who he is. He would have seen that
the first four years. Definitely don't buy that.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Is you see some of these future organizations that can't
get that struggle that the Panthers ain't doing none.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
And I don't know how long you can't keep saying that.
So which one is? It is?
Speaker 5 (13:44):
If the if the franchise is bad, right, franchise on
the franchise situation, all right? So and then if the
Vikings have a good setup, So is it the Vikings
when it's good, but it's the Jets it's bad?
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Is that what it is? Which one is?
Speaker 1 (14:02):
It's a perfect may He is in a perfect situation
for his skill set. And you just saw that, and
its time to take You think he's gonna.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Do it again, You'll have the same exact season he
just had or good. What are the odds? The odds
odds are down, they're asking you. I don't know. I don't.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
If he gets better, he might, If all need is
this out of him. I just don't need you to
be poor to perform in the playoffs. He can be
this again. I just don't need to play a poor
playoff performance. And I need Kevin O'Connor to step his
coaching up. He got out coached twice when it mattered.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Should the Vikings even bother offering Sam Darnold a contract
after last night? I say no, Kelvin is all in.
We'll continue the conversation next with you. It is The
Odd Couple on a trash Talking Tuesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington,

We're talking about Sam Darnold. Some decisions to be made
in Minnesota, keep them or not? Eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox Who we got all right?
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Dion in Texas. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up Dion on this trash talking.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Tuesday, guys, how you doing doing great?
Speaker 7 (16:01):
Yo? Yo?
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Hey check this out? Ready to make three amazing points
and I'll let you.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Go already they're amazing.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
I'll get darn skippy man. First of all, shout out
Aaron Glenn. The telecast said last night the La Rams
used the blueprint that Aaron Glen, so shout out to him.
Number two, o'donald made a critical mistake right before the half,
going for it on fourth down that actually put the
game out of reach because the Rams scored a touchdown
right before halftime, making that thing twenty one to three.
So the game almost stupped out of reach right there.
(16:28):
So can't put that on sound Donald. And thirdly, Hey,
I'm sorry, but I'm not I don't know if I'm
more surprised of the season that Sam Donald had or
the fact that Minnesota actually went up to draft JJ McCarthy. Rob,
you must have watched JJ's twin brother play, because I'm
shot at anybody drafting.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
Dion.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
That's okay, So you're a draft expert, now have you
let me ask you this.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Let me ask you this. Have you ever been wrong
with looking at players?
Speaker 5 (16:56):
Because you know what they took a minute They told
them Mr Jackson that he should be a wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Okay, okay, okay, all right.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
So I'm just be careful when you think you haven't
seen JJ McCarthy in a pro set, be careful. Everybody
thinks they know, be careful. Everybody thought Tim Tebow right.
A lot of people know, a lot of people did
go back in college. You know, he wanted college, and
a lot of people like Tim Tim Tim Tebow.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
My last point, Robin, and I'll let you guys go. Yes,
you keep Sam Donald. In fact, if I'm the Jets,
if I'm Pittsburgh, if I'm New Orleans, I'm fighting Minnesota
over this, they better franchise him. I will let JJ
sit and watch another year. You can't let this guy
go after that amazing season.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
He didn't have an amazing season because it was the
two biggest games were awful. The two biggest games were awful. No,
it's not okay, that's why you playing.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I can't call it the two games, not the season.
The season was great. Can't be an MVP candidate. And
then the season where you know, in Brooklyn.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
You're on the yard couple of Fox Sports waiting how
many mv pople, how many all pro bosted?
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Again, okay, they did top five, they didn't get any
of those. He wasn't in there.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
You act like the season his two games.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
Gentlemen, gentlemen, hey, listen, another great show. I'm really excited
about this year coming up. By the way, kay, I'm
with you.
Speaker 7 (18:17):
On this one.
Speaker 6 (18:18):
Jets fan, Jets fan, I was elated to see this
guy get a chance after they butchered him as a Jet,
they ruined his career basically. And now he got over
to Minnesota. He had he had a really good year.
I say, keep him. And you know I called you
last week about this. The wild thing is this. I said,
this was after he got throttled by Detroit and I said,
(18:40):
if he has another bad game, his quote's going not
only going down, but he's not going to get the bag. Now,
they could pick him up a lot cheaper, you know,
the Vikers can get him a lot cheaper than if
he you know, had a good game there. But you
know what, let him hang around for a year, don't
give him, don't give him a five year him two
for a year and he could actually do you know,
(19:01):
look at this ten he's in the top ten, top
eight quarterbacks. Baby, But you know what he's face to
be gonna have. He's gonna get point. He's not gonna
have another He's not gonna have a huge game for
another year. But he'll give you ten ways.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Hey, Bruno, let me Bruno, you're in Brooklyn. Okay, just
hear me out. I want you to really listen, because
this is how the Giants got in trouble with Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Daniel Jones had a decent year.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
He beat the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs, and they
thought they had their guy and they paid them. Okay,
where is he now? He's on the Minnesota Vikings for
no money. This is what you gotta be careful of, Bruno.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Hear me out.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
I'm being honest. I'm not trying to rip Sam Donald.
I'm telling you I've seen this before. You gotta be
careful not to You know it. You saw him in
New York. He will not duplicate this season. If you
don't capitalize on him this year, it probably won't happen again.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Why, thank you for the There you go with the street.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
He got to be Daniel Jones. Now, Daniel Jones. Come
on now, Scott, and wouldn't be good a year that
he was good? The year that he was supposed to
did he get the bag? Got him?
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Because he beat Minnesota? He wasn't good. Scott sarm Donald
was at least good this season. Scott North Carolina, you're
on the couple. What's up, Scotts Radio.
Speaker 8 (20:22):
I'm doing good man. I would definitely agree with you, Rob,
But we've seen over the past couple of weeks that
the system is flawed, and if Sam Donald was able
to hide those flaws throughout the year and have a
good year that he has, I got to sign him
for another year. When you look at the head coach,
I mean last year, like you said, he lost to
Daniel Jones. Last year, you know how bad that team was.
(20:43):
And then these last couple of games we could obviously
see the falls of the head coach in the system.
So if Sam Donald was able to cover those flaws
throughout the year, you got to give him another check.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Let me ask you this one quick quick question.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
In the game against the Lions, they were in the
red zone four times, correct.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Okay, that's all. That's all I'm saying, Like like you.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
Can say, you can say the second half the Lions
defense had him on the run, but that but they
were in that game to start and he missed receivers.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
That's all I'm saying that he did. But I don't
know and yeah, he did, without a doubt. All right,
appreciate the calls on that we got when I brought up.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
To Daniel Jones thing. They they got to listen to
me because I'm trying to educate you.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Daniel Jones was bad. He wasn't even good to here.
He's supposed to be good.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
Did he get I'm not arga And we both laughed
at he got the bag. I knew he shouldn't have
got the bag. I said it, And I'm telling you
that Sam Darnold shouldn't get the bag. He should get
a bag of cold.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Fried top it.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
I want to know who the starting quarterback is for
the Rod Parker Atz. I don't even know who they
would be, all right, Efram Salimon just a moment right now,
Steven Sager.
Speaker 2 (21:52):

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Doctor j ain't walking through that door.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
And I feel good about the took the thunder minus
eleven and a half in Sheckle City.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Very good of me.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
And gott to worry about that. Like I said, doctor
jin't coming through that all right? Coming to you live
from the tire rack dot Com Studios. It is the
I couple, Rod Parker Kevin Washington on the Trash Talking Tuesdays.
Right now, as always, we got our man, he for Salon,
former NFL offensive line and Fox Sports Radio Weekends host
joining the show, Ephrom.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
What's upbro? How are you?
Speaker 7 (22:29):
What's popping? What's going on?
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Man?
Speaker 1 (22:31):
You want to jump in on this? Minnesota Vikings? What
to do with Sam Darnold? Do you let him go
to your franchise?
Speaker 3 (22:38):
I'm lucky, fro, I'm good. I saw it.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
He won'ver duplicated. I already drafted a quarterback. I moved
up for him. He's gonna be cheaper. I got a
system in place. I'm okay without Sam Darnald. I'm franchising
him one more year. See what I got. Keep jj
around till somebody gives me sweet enough offer. Then I
see what's up with that? What you got?
Speaker 7 (22:57):
The problem is? It's crazy?
Speaker 3 (23:00):
It is it is.
Speaker 7 (23:01):
I'm with Rob on this.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Yeah, from TULLM.
Speaker 7 (23:04):
But just look, the last eight days changed my mind considerably.
And whenever you're changing your perception, you know what people
perceive you to be. You can't go back right by
dating someone, right, like if you if you're dating somebody
who was a cheater and then they changed their ways
and the next thing you know, they're hanging out at
(23:26):
the club coming in lady. You're like, oh, okay, so
this is this is who you really are. And we
got a sense of that with Sam and the biggest
games you know, of his life. He couldn't handle that pressure.
So essentially, if you're franchising him and bringing him back,
you're saying you're okay with mediocrity, thank you.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
All that he's done.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
Okay when it came down to it, this is why
you play from And I'm not saying.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
He had to win. He just had to play better
and he didn't play better.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
We saw the Lions game games four times in the
red zone.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
He missed receivers in that game, and.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
And my thing is you have a quarterback there in place,
Maybe you have a system like the forty nine ers,
right who could put plug in brock Party and then
get back to the super Bowl by making a quarterback change.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
My point Aphrom was one he obviously didn't perform well
at times. But also Kevin O'Connor didn't do no justice.
He was out coached by Sean McVay. Aaron Glenn sat
him down to and knew it, you know, schooled him
as well.
Speaker 7 (24:33):
Look, look you're not And Kevin O'Connor's right off the hooks.
He did get out coached. It was several things that
he was doing that you know, I really didn't understand
in terms of, you know, putting yourself in position, leaving
points on the field, and I don't know, for whatever
reason these coaches have gone.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
You know, Damn, Dan Campbell's crazy.
Speaker 7 (24:54):
No, you can't in that game last week to win
it all and have a bu He tried to out
Dan Campbell, Dan Campton and it's stilly And to me,
that was ridiculous. You left all those points on the
on the field in a close game that could have
changed the trajectory of that game coming down into the
(25:16):
fourth quarter. And I'm just not okay with it. I don't,
I don't, I don't. I'm not okay with that at all.
You know that aside Sam Donald couldn't handle the pressure.
There are wide open receivers. He missed it in that
debreat game. And so that's not what I'm signing up
for for that amount of money. I'm not signing up
for the guy who is still hearing or seeing ghosts
(25:38):
or whatever he said when he was in New York, right, like,
you can't keep reminding people of that happening. And I
think this is a situation the last eight days where
he did.
Speaker 5 (25:49):
That he from let's talk about Lamar and Derrick Henry
UH and that offense and.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
What they look like?
Speaker 5 (25:56):
What what what did you what did you see in
that game as they steamrolled the Steelers, because it wasn't
that's close to the score.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
Indicated, No, no, it was not.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
That.
Speaker 7 (26:09):
Boy. Look man, they are dangerous. They're dangerous, and it's
like he hit another gear. He's on something. He's on one,
as we like to say in the neighborhood. And and look,
I don't if he continues to play like this. The
thing I loved about how they attacked that game was
(26:30):
they came out and they called several several uh you
know runs for him, quarterback runs. They weren't going to
let what happened to them in the UH.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
In the AFC Championship, a championship game in.
Speaker 7 (26:44):
The AFT Championship. They were not going to allow that
to happen again. Uh, And so they gave them a
lot to think about. I love the fact that you
now have a dual headed monster that can run the
ball anywhere and with anyone. That's dangerous, extremely dangerous. And
so I'm just excited about, you know, mov them moving forward.
(27:09):
It's gonna be a big game next week.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Let me say this to you, I just want to
get really quickly when they run.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
When they ran the ball thirteen straight times in that drive,
didn't even pass once, and basically told the Steelers, here's
what's coming and you can't stop us. What was that?
I never saw that?
Speaker 7 (27:28):
Yeah, that was Look it's it's intense, man. But that's
how good they are. That's how good that running game is.
Derrick Henry is man with the stuff he'd be doing
to people.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Look people out the way. Yeah, yeah, I got children
at home. You're not about to smack me like that
on time national television.
Speaker 7 (27:53):
My kids is watching this.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Man.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Ain't no way you about to smack me up like that.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Uh. From Salama guests, of course, for my NFL Fensive Line.
In Fox Sports Radio Weekends, Hosts you know, obviously we
won't talk to you before some of these games coming
up over this weekend. So when I ask you, jayde
and Daniels magic again. He keeps setting records, keeps doing
things no rookie, other rookie has done.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Now he's going up against the Lions.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
What do you like for him and the Commanders and
how do they beat the Lions?
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Look, I love Jay Daniels. I'm a fan of Jaydon Daniels.
I picked them to go to the playoffs. I actually
picked them to win the division in the preseason. I
love the fact that he doesn't care. He doesn't care
when you watch him play, He's not bothered. He's not
bothered by any of that stuff he's talking about. He's
not bothered about any of the pressures that you should have.
(28:47):
At this point. He's just going out there and he's playing.
And not only that, he's galvanized his team and they're
playing at a level they may not even have thought
they could have. And to me, that what the leader is.
To me, that gives what that attitude, that gives him
a shot, you know what, And I think I think
that's the most important thing. They have a.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
Shot that They're scary because look at all the games
that they've won that they had no business winning this year. No, no,
no business. That's the scary part. If you're the Lions
that if they get a break like Baker Mayfield fumbling,
you know what I mean, like you, one mistake could
cast you.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
That's only turnover that the Bucks had.
Speaker 7 (29:27):
Look, the Kansas City Chiefs have made a whole season
of winning with those type of mistakes. They're not the
only team that can capitalize on that level of mistake,
you know, by other people. So look there it was
good for the goops, good for the gander man. And
at this point, these next divisional rounds of playoffs are
(29:47):
gonna be sensational.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah, I'm hoping so because some of these games we
didn't get wet.
Speaker 5 (29:52):
All blowout with one game from what why do you
think that is? Is it too many teams? That really
maybe we got too many teams in.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
The playoffs thee football playoffs because.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
It feels like we only have one good game and
that was the Washington Bucks game.
Speaker 7 (30:09):
That was a great game. It just happens like that. Man. Look,
a lot of this has to do with the dynamic quarterbacks,
right everybody doesn't have one, but good. Once good, solid
teams run up against one of those elite quarterbacks or
one of those quarterbacks getting ready to turn the corner,
then it's difficult to win. You got to be perfect.
(30:33):
You have to be perfect, and that is difficult to do,
uh in this type of situation. And you know the
teams like the Houston Texas, they have a good quarterback,
says start is good, but can he be perfect? Can
he'd be? Can he be great?
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (30:49):
I mean that's still be great.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
That's the worry I havy from.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
If the Lions beat the Commanders and eventually, let's say
they won the Super Bowl, they got to play either
Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Lower. Come on, I'm so.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Tired of these dynamic quarterbacks that you mentioned. My goodness, he.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Fra Man, We appreciate you.
Speaker 7 (31:02):
Thank you so much, brother, have a.
Speaker 1 (31:05):

Speaker 5 (32:22):
All right, Yesterday was the Sam Darnold edition of Shekel City.
I was oer for three. I am now ten seventeen,
so I need to bounce back. T Wa, we get
there so quick.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Ten and seventeen.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
You have a couple of Owen threes and before you
know it, So we need to bounce back. I'm feeling
good about tonight. Tonight best beat Cavaliers minus eight and
a half, taking on the Pacers. But they got a
six game win streak. But I still like them. Cavu. Okay,
see the Thunderer in Philadelphia. They're not giving any brotherly
love at all.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
What's the line there? I don't know.
Speaker 5 (32:56):
It was eleven and a half, but they were up
by twenty, right now, Okay, up by eleven, that went
by fifteen or so. I'm happy with that, and I'm
gonna take the Hawks. We have the Hawks and the Suns. Yes, yeah,
so the Hawks plus three and a half. Yep, they're
hosting the Suns in Atlanta. I think they might be
going to Magic City after depending on what outcome.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
You'll have some recommendations. Yes, for some food there, that's
all we go there for the food, the kitchen, the Williams.
That's right, all right?
Speaker 5 (33:24):
So again the Hawks plus three and a half, the
Thunder minus eleven and a half, and the Cavaliers minus
eight and a half.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
And remember, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
Just quickly, guys, if you were to fade all of
Rob Parker's picks this season, you be hitting sixty three percent?
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Winn would you be quiet? What are we about like
four or five units at this point? Is that right?
Speaker 7 (33:46):
Man?
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Listen you you know it ain't about how you start,
it is how you finished, because you know you didn't
start last year.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
You had the last little bit of how do we
do on the on the picks? You're up one? Yeah,
you're up one? Still one? We never got one game?
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 9 (34:03):
By the way, Lamar Mitchell says, tu, Rob, come by anytime.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
His money's always good.
Speaker 9 (34:07):
Yeah all right, thanks Rob, geez, I appreciate you, Lamar Mitchell.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
He's very trying to He just wants to see you,
that's all.
Speaker 7 (34:12):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (34:13):
It?
Speaker 3 (34:14):
Hey, whatever you need.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
But the only two days time I show up, he
has a shovel in his hand and then bigger than
you know, we're working on.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
Kay.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
Look at yo, we got pasta you don't even need
to bring your shrimp. Man we put we're stripping it
for you. They will man.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
By the way, I really laughed at the day, and
I had to try to explain that to my wife.
She's like, wait, what do you mean. I'm like, no,
he buys his own show. Oh, that's great because he's
cooking it at home, making a big thing of shrimp. No no, no, no, no,
he buys like for shrimp to put in his a
buck twenty five Maria Calender pasta. You're a thing, by
the way, like my my producer shoutut to Alisha. She
(34:53):
just apparently she's like, She's like, I'm liking this guy
more and more because she's a saver.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
The difference is she has four kids. Okay, right, you
ain't got four kids. Oh, I don't know if you
were aware of that.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yes, she's got four kids living in la You got
to say where you can.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
But she she's like, oh, he's smart.
Speaker 6 (35:12):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
So the first I forgot the first thing I posted,
and she was kind of like, oh, I think it
was when I posted you and your uh you're nineteen.
I don't know what Muhammad Ali boxing card I thought
it was. But that was actually a coupon the way
you had it laminated and then taking care of it
at a pass hold.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
On it makes you to get together it I lose it.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I'm like, Wow, he's got Mickey Mantle's rookie card.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
No, it's just a Carlos Junior coupon.
Speaker 9 (35:36):
You know what's really funny about Rob is that Rob yesterday,
well a couple days had a Gucci button down.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yeah, yes, yes, no, no, no, two days that it was beautiful.
We had one on yesterday too.
Speaker 9 (35:45):
So today he's dressed down, he's comfortable, he's warning a
one of one Nike pullover, and literally nobody else.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Has one of one. Actually, pretty sweet. You ain't off
for me that one.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
You ain't off.
Speaker 9 (35:58):
Even when Rob's like, I want to be low key,
I gonna have the exclusive.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
No one else has a couple Nike. No, that's gonna lie.
That's pretty dope. Nice. Yeah, yeah, let me see what
what do we do with the shoes today? What we do?
Did we do the kids? And when everybody got I
got jay.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
I thought you might did the family joints that they
would have gone with that too, no doubt?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
All right, Yeah, I mean ain't nothing to talk about
expert Deontay Johnson.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Just keep losing out on big money man, Like we
were talking about earlier, Steve the Seger, I mean all
jokes aside to me, there's point longer scores.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Something has something else going on, because it doesn't sound
like he wants to play football, That's exactly. And if
if I'm an organization or whatever, get them help.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
That's all.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Get him some help, because there's something that just doesn't
make sense right now.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah, when you when you're doing this on three different teams, team,
it could be something that's to.
Speaker 5 (36:45):
Be a professional athlete. Seriously, like everybody thinks that everybody
can be there like be on it. No, it's very,
very difficult, and it requires so much of your life.
Like there's only four hundred jobs in the NBA. There
are only eight hundred jobs in Major League Baseball's and
twelve hundred in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Right, that's all that's all it is. Yeah, it requires
a lot.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
And I know, my man, man, if I did this,
if I did that, and I believe you, But for
him right now, clearly something going on because three teams
in the season, and it's kind of like Antonio Brown,
like something else going on. I don't care what AB
tries to tell me. Something else is going on with
AB because something they looking right about that?
Speaker 3 (37:23):
All right?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Can you play for something bigger than just the team?
Will tell you Flox Sports Radio
