Speaker 2 (02:41):
No, we're working on. We got our whole couple of
guys work out in there. If you guys are going shirtless,
I'll be working from home. Okay I'm not doing that, but.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Anyway, you told everybody to go check out your long
story short Yes, nine to nine marked down to four
ninety nine. I had two coupons, one for two dollars
and one for two ninety nine, so woolah, I got
the bag for free.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
So wait, these coupons are digital or you actually carry it.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
They putting on, they punt out. You know, we're on
the receipts.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
When you go to CVS, they give you a magazine
or book full.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Let me tell you a CVS is doing. CBS is
killing all the trees. They are killing all the trees.
It'll be like six foot long. Listen, if you ever
run out of some toilet paper at home, go get
you a CVS receipt.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
You are good to go.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Only thing is you might have a bar coach stuff
and Rob will still be trying to use it.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Only if I'm at a seventy and so you carry
around you're like my wife.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
She keeps those little CVS two dollars off theirs, by
the two dollars load.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I'm not keeping.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
It's because they know there's gonna be a bunch of me.
I just pull out of my wallet. This man literally
has a coupon that looks like it came from ninety three.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
This has been through a lot. This is a McDonald's coupon.
Ain't no way I believe you, okay, And this is
buy one, get one free.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You should get to keep them, you know, on many
gift cards I have in my nurse. But look in there,
look at the top.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
The way you did the survey. Look so it has
gone too far. You did the survey.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
I did the survey because you buy one burger and
you get one.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
You are the richest brokenst person I've ever met in
my life.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
I broke you are know you actually do not buy it.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
If I'm gonna buy a big Mac anyway, why not
get one free?
Speaker 1 (04:33):
All No, no, no, no, nobody said you had to
call them. Wait, du hi, thank you for calling McDonald's.
Please hold while we get this. You had to go
through all that you it costs you more time to
do that.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
It's only about ten or twelve questions. It's fine now
you made it worse. I needed to say two or three, No,
ten or twelve. It's all right, Robbie. You calling to
get the free big Mac. Well you don't got a call, right,
it's a text or something that you gotta go here
doing this different tax bracket. In Jesus with me, he knows,
he knows what. He never called to do a survey.
And if you gotta go online number one.
Speaker 7 (05:06):
To go back to your rigister with fustatios. You know
they can do all that on the app. Now, rob
you don't got to get.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
The ass what I said, you actually don't put their
CD out, but ask you not to.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, you can just say you don't have to get
the So.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
That's that's number one.
Speaker 7 (05:20):
Number trees around if someone's giving me something for free,
whether I want it or not, and all it takes
me is a couple of swipes on my phone. I'm
in okay, Like, I got no use for a feminine products.
But if it says that, hey, you answer these three questions,
we're gonna mail to you for free.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
I might keep it in the car, someone might need
it and it's available, I'll step my game up. Apparently,
you just you just I have friends, I have too
much money. I have give cards that I literally can't like.
I forget my birthday's coming up, by the way.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
To bring those down on you, No, I'm eating all
New Orleans places that.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
This is a trick for you. You can use this, Okay,
the bosses are not listening. She don't worry about don't
worry about it. Take those gift cards, spend them in
New Orleans, keep the receipt, and submit for reimbursement.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Now that's a terrible idea, rob G. Why would I
ever do that? Say I would never do that, rob G.
That is not fair or ethical.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
All right, all right, let's go all right. Josh spent
a lot of money at Chick fil a that's a
great idea, Rob, I'm doing it all right.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Well, now that we've got you ways to save some money,
Josh Allen, you'll be.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Surprised how many people enjoyed that whenever.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
I love the segment they're talking about. That's not the issue.
I'm just amazed at your dedication. I don't know what
You're more dedicated find a way to not like Patrick
Mahomes or to save a buck. It's not that I
don't like him personally. I know that, Josh Allen. You
know I was thinking about this, Rob like man, Rob
G and I were talking about you looking what Patrick
Mahomes has done. You look at what Lamar Jackson has done.
(07:03):
Lamar Jackson does not have a Super Bowl ring yet.
I believe he will be getting one eventually. You do two,
we'll be you know, we'll have to wait and see.
But he's already has two MVPs. Looks like he'll get
his third. If he does get his third, that means
Josh Allen won't get this one. Well, you know what,
Josh Allen's not up for Offensive Player of the Year.
And it's one of those things where Josh Allen he
(07:24):
may look up and never win a super Bowl, maybe
never even get there. If he's got to go through Lamar,
he's got to go through Patrick Mahomes. Maybe Justin Herbert
becomes one of those guys, or maybe c. J. Stroud
continues to grow. He could never make it to a
super Bowl. He may never win an MVP.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
And that if Lamar and Patrick and then get Jayden Daniels,
Saquon Bark all these guys just keep getting better because
there's no reason why they won't.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Why doesn't Jadon and Daniels have a chance. Why doesn't
Jalen Hurts Maybe one day if he keeps you know,
twenty rushing touchdowns in eighteen passing.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
And I was.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Thinking, like are we looking at And I think he's
a better player because he's more of a physical specimen.
But he could be if Philip Rivers of his era,
where I'm always around, my teams are always good. I
make some Pro Bowls, but I don't win MVPs. I
don't make it to the super Bowl. I'm expected to
get there. I'm expected to get you know, hopefully have
a shot. But I don't like Philip Rivers with La
(08:19):
Danley and Thomason with Antonio Gates, all these good defenses, Merritman,
all these guys, and they never would make it to
the Super Bowl, and we'd always be like, oh, this
team is there's a sexy pick every year to make it,
and they don't. Because he was dealing with Peyton, he
was dealing with Tom Brady, he was dealing with Drew Brees,
guys of his era. And I was thinking Josh Allen,
(08:41):
as far as talented as he is and has gifted,
it's starting to get like man, because if you look
at Patrick, you look at Lamar, and and then you
mentioned again the guys who are coming up like man,
could he just be one of those guys who's always
really good and always right there, but never can get through,
not even necessarily even winning one, but just get to
a super Bowl or get it, MVP of Lamar, go
(09:01):
keep right, Lamaro twenty seven to twenty eight years old.
He might win two more. Patrick Mahomes might come back,
Jaydon Daniels, Like I said, CJ. Stroud, there's a lot
of guys who look good, and it's always a new
guy right in the two or three years that we
didn't even think would be coming. So it's just an
interesting thing of Josh Allen. I'm like, man, is he
gonna be mess around to be a Philip Rivers? Where
he had a heck of a career right there, always
(09:23):
in the mix, but just could never quite get over
that hump.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
I think here's the problem that I have is that
I could give you a bunch of names of gods
who quarterbacks who won Super Bowls who weren't great. Oh,
for sure, Jeff Hosteler, Mark Ripping, Brad Johnson, even Trent Dilfer,
Matthew Stafford who's on the Lions for twelve years, had
no playoff lines.
Speaker 7 (09:46):
No.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
But I'm saying if you would have told me in
the beginning, when he was going through that that he
would be able to get to a super Bowl and win,
I would have told you no. Even really with the talent,
not the team, but his individual talent. I still I
thought he had a talent the team. I didn't think so.
Nick Foles won a Super Bowl starting quarterback, right. Trend
(10:08):
deal for one, like you could be a part of
something where maybe it's not you right, or that's the
defense or something else that's a part of it, and
yet he could still be there.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I'm saying he could be one of those.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
No, I'm just saying I like their defense, Like whoever
to say they get a new coach and they build
up this defense, just like you're looking at the Eagles
and their offensive and defensive lines right or Patrick Mahomes
who's not playing Patrick Mahomes football from the early days.
But now somehow the Chiefs have a defense for the last
couple of years and now that's leading the way. Do
you see what I'm saying? So yes, like I don't,
(10:46):
I can't. You're saying he doesn't have to be the
one to do it. No, no, No, I'm just saying
it could be. I can't rule him out strictly that
he can't get to a Super Bowl or his career
is going to go to next eight or ten years
and and he's not because everybody else is there.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I'm saying that there are openings.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
When I when I brought up Jeff Hosteler and Mark Rippon,
that was during the Joe Montana.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Era and John L.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Way, you know what I mean, and those people, so
you would think, well, high in the world, you're gonna
get a super Bowl and during that time is all
I'm saying is that it's hard for me to look
that far and his talent, We're not going to get
there at some point.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
I'm not saying anything like you always say Lamar is
gonna get there. I do.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
I believe what I'm saying, And for most people and
Mahomes looks like he's gonna get there again. Maybe not
next year, maybe two years, maybe three years. You got
Joe Burrow who's already been there. Who imagine people feel
like he's gonna get back.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
But here's the thing. Joe Burrow got there.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
He may never get back because of the way that
Cincinnati Bengals are set up, the way his money is,
you know what I mean. And that might have been
their best opportunity. So you look at Joe Burrow and
the talent, Look, you can't play any better than he
played this past year, can.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
You wast wasted? But that so that but that you're
kind of making.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
My point though, is that it's a crowded situation in
the AFC, and we got a bunch of Josh Herbert
probably said, hey, guys, don't forget me, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, CJ. Stroud,
Patrick Mahomes. You know, Obviously there's some other young you're
not talking about.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
I guess this is where I have the issue is
not we're not talking about him going to four straight
Super Bowl one like the chances of him getting into one.
They didn't get blown out last night where they weren't
in the game, like like he had a drive in
in Kansas City by the way with thirteen seconds, I'm
(12:47):
just saying for a touchdown, right, and they wound up
losing that game. You're having a different conversation about Josh Allen.
It ain't like he never performed or he didn't have
that moment.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
So I get you, and I'm just saying Philip Rivers
had a heck of a Hall of Fame type career.
It's just he never could get to the Super Bowl
or he never had that MVP and that's the thing
that held him back. And Josh Allen. If Lamar Jackson
wins this MVP, there is no reason Lamar Jackson won't
win another one. There's no reason. Again, maybe Patrick Mahomes
(13:20):
comes back and it's just balling again. It just looks
like there's a chance where Josh Allen will be a
really a heck of a talent heck of a player
who just was could never get over the hump because
of his peers and how good they were or their
teams were comprised.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Yeah, I'm not there. I think he still has a shot.
I think he's a talented player.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Individually, I gotta say, I think individuals.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Still six decided to make some changes that maybe that
can happen.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
You know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
I don't know who the next coach is, or the
next situation, a circumstance.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Or I don't know. Is there a year when you know,
something happens to Andy Weed tires.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
I'm just giving you a scenario or circumstance and that
might open the floodgates for everybody. And maybe Lamar doesn't
win to in a row and you get four different
quarterbacks winning a Super Bowl, right, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Like the window opened. It was more I'm not garant
to saying. It was more of a thought, like man,
this because I was this felt like the year. That's
what we were saying off the air, just like this
felt like, all right, if this is gonna be their year,
this is their year.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
No, I mean, he couldn't. You can't play any better.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Than me playing team was a spectacular, great winning record.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
He's an MVP candidate. I'm gonna just say no to it.
But I hear what you're saying. I see the comparison.
I don't think so. Could Josh Allen become Philip Rivers?
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Two point zero?
Speaker 4 (14:37):
We'll continue the conversation next with you eight seven, seven

to go reup. I need to go reup and get
the girls, some of the rappid radios. All Right, we're
talking about Josh Allen's had a heck of a career
thus far, but can't seem to get past obviously Patrick
Mahomes and the Chiefs to get to the big one,
can't win an MVP, because it looks like Lamar is
set to get this one as well. Could he potentially
be Philip Rivers? We're really really good, but just never
(15:46):
get over the hump. We'll see eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fox.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
So we got Jerry and Seattle. You're on the odd couple?
Fox Sports Radio. What's that up, Jerry?
Speaker 8 (15:55):
How much guys?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Have it going good?
Speaker 6 (15:58):
You got hear me?
Speaker 2 (15:58):
All right, yeah, we got you? Yep.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (16:01):
So, I mean Josh Allen's already won been and more
and one more playoff games than Philip Rivers, And I
mean it's like, uh, and Rob, you did say that
the Buffalo's window was closed at the beginning of the year,
so they did pretty good. But I just feel like
all those other guys that you mentioned, like they got
to get to Josh Allen's level before they can not
(16:23):
be Philip Rivers, right, Like, I mean, he's he's the
only one that you know is getting there consistently other
than my Burrows.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
So yeah, I think, well, I mean, I know you,
but you.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Also have you have Lamar who always is in the postseason,
and you have but.
Speaker 6 (16:37):
Always, but hasn't I mean, he's he's lost, he doesn't.
You know, he's not well.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
They lost the championship game last year, they lost Lamar.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Lamar is in the same same bowl, but they lost
last year in the AFC chair.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Keep in mind, keep in mind real quick, he's gone,
let's say, keep in mind, I know he's still listening.
The point was also saying he could mess around and
not get MVPs. Keep that in mind, because if Lamar
wins this one, there's no guarantee that Josh this might have.
This has been his best season statistically, And all I'm
saying is he can mess around and continue to be good,
very good to maybe even die goinge great, But there's
so much around him that he doesn't win an MVP.
(17:13):
He can't get to super Bowl, and it'll be an
interesting tale because he's so good. You're like, but dang,
you know, he didn't necessarily have the same statistics or
the same MVPs or accolades as his peers.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
R Lamar, I'd be three for.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
Lamar, Rolex Mike in Vegas. You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 6 (17:34):
What up? What up?
Speaker 9 (17:34):
What up?
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Hey?
Speaker 9 (17:35):
Rob?
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Real quick, I'm surprised you ain't out here in Vegas
with the AVN going on and everything. You know.
Speaker 9 (17:42):
Oh wow, that's the first thing.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
Second thing, Wow, Hey Josh Allen. If Josh Allen is
Philip Rivers, does that make Lamar Jackson Joel Embi You're
getting playoff appearances and but you ain't got nothing to
show for it afterwards.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
But joelan Beach just only won one.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Envy, I would say, you you to have me better
if you maybe like a hard maybe just as far
as MVP candidate or you know, it's more like that,
but it's.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
More like Peyton Manning.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Peyton Manning, in his early part of his career said
that's the that's that's more realist, right, Rolex Mike, And
then Peyton wound up winning two one right, and and
and it's later later on in.
Speaker 6 (18:30):
His career though, and Drew Brees listened, and I heard
Drew Brees say this earlier. He said, like eighth, ninth year.
He's going to figure it out and he's going to
put that fire under him to where he's going to
get over that home and Kansas City is going to
make that mistake. Personally, you know, they did the wrong
they went they went about the right game plan, just
executed it wrong. They could have won that game yesterday.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
They they didn't get blown out.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
They could have won it technically, but also the Chiefs
kind of that felt like an eight point win if
you really the Chiefs kind of hap periods where you're like, oh,
this is where it happens. This is where they go
up fifteen, it's where they go up sixteen.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
I just they weren't blown out of that game.
Speaker 4 (19:08):
I thought that there was a chance Josh Allen when
they got the ball back with that much time, right,
they had a chance to watch down the.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Field if k makes that David Tyree type catch, meaning
you needed that.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Right where he went against the helmet.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
But I'm saying meaning I just threw it up there
and I'm on make a play for your boy.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
He should.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Is that that never happens for them?
Speaker 6 (19:28):
No?
Speaker 7 (19:28):
That that's like you pick whatever your favorite championship team is, right,
whether it's Eli or absolutely there's something that breaks your
co Harris and macular reception and break the other time.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Don't you remember what was it, Flato when he threw
the ball against Denver?
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Remember downfield and there was a big.
Speaker 7 (19:46):
Play and the safety just miss times is jumping and
there was a like and the Bills have only had
the opposite of that in their history.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Why are you doing that? Thurman Thomas was our guests.
He over here crying right now. You let them talking
about that break.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Chili chim in Atlantaarly, what up? You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's happening?
Speaker 8 (20:06):
Yo?
Speaker 9 (20:07):
Yo? What's going on? Guys?
Speaker 2 (20:08):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (20:08):
Brother?
Speaker 4 (20:09):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (20:10):
The only thing Mary is miss and I need to
hear whip whoop that trick next, you know. But uh,
three quick points. Uh. So here here's the first thing
I think when you had mentioned some of those quarterbacks,
I think one of the differences is organization. Those guys
may not have been great quarterbacks, but they had great
(20:30):
organizations behind them. And the Giants once upon a time
when they had ourselves and Tom Laughlin and.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
They were long gone. They were yep, ye, they were.
Speaker 9 (20:38):
Great when Hotspel and so the organizational skills was was there?
San Diego never had it. They had great because you
mentioned Merriman, but how about Junior Sea was on those
Oh yeah yeah, so yeah, so they had great players,
but the organization just never seemed to get it together.
And I think that's what's going on with the Bills.
I think he may could win one if he goes
(20:59):
from but I just don't. I think the Bills is
just a curse. I mean, look at Jim Kelly, he
has dermatomogy and Andre Reed.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
What was that?
Speaker 6 (21:07):
Go?
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Look at that team is insane, the defense, the running,
I mean.
Speaker 9 (21:12):
Yeah, and so I just think it's the organization. Maybe
he just needs to get out, go to a different team.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
So then the man, that's that's the thing, you right,
you talking about the Chargers when they're in San Diego,
A lot of people said they weren't they were poorly rand.
The Spanos didn't want to spend any brand on anybody.
All right, we appreciate all the calls. Uh, we have
a little bit of Rob has some thoughts on Jaden
Daniels will get in just a moment.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Right now, we're gonna find out what's training.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 1 (21:48):
We were talking to Rod What's in a moment ago.
He was singing the praises of one Jaden Daniels, saying
that this kid has the goods. The Commanders have their
guy once again, and Magic Johnson somehow comes into an
organization and they get better.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
I don't know what that is. And you, my friend,
aren't buying Jaden. No, that's not what I said.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
That's not what I said.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
What are you saying?
Speaker 4 (22:12):
I'm just saying, can we just pump the brakes on this?
We do this every single time. My point is last
year I could go back and give you all the
clips about c. J. Stroud and oh my god, did
he take a step back? Because what happens is they
get filmore on you and then they start to prepare
for you a little differently.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Doesn't mean that you're going to fall off the cliff
or you can't play.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
And I'm not knock Jade Daniels like when they say
it was this the best rookie year ever for a quarterback.
My only question is he doesn't even have the quarterback Wad.
He has the fourth best quarterback Wady. So Dak Prescott
was better. RG three was better and C. J. Stroud's
was better. That's all I'm saying is I don't understand
like if he was at the top or you know,
(22:57):
then you could say was this the best? Also when
you talk about his numbers, bow Knicks had more touchdowns
and more yards. And I'm not saying that both Nicks
is better than the way but he had a really
good rookie year too. All I'm saying is I get
it and it's the winning part. And I understand why
(23:17):
people gravitate to that and they can't believe it. But
I'm just saying, and he wasn't before, and he wasn't
the first rookie to take a team to the to
the championship game either, he was the fifth. All I'm
saying is people act like it's never happened before. That's
what I want people to pump the break stop the
push ever happens today is better than anything that ever happened.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I think the pushback I would have is I don't
think people or at least I'll speak for myself, but
I do think people aren't looking at as the more
so the best ever as much as oh he's good.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
You're not doing it, they're looking at the season.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Ever, this rookie is incredible and seems to be incredibly poised.
And even when you look got the blowout that the
Eagles put on him, it wasn't because of him. He
was he played pretty dog going well, it's the running
back balls he did. He still lost for sure, and
and and he you love to see the growing pains,
and he's gonna get better. And you mentioned c Strout.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
CJ.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Stroud took a step back in some cases, but the
team got right back in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
And c J.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Stroud again looks like when he especially has his weapons,
he'll be fine. Like, I'm not worried about c J. Stroud,
but Jade and Daniels to me, and he goes back
to the conversation we're having bow Knicks looks like he
might be all right up in this league. Jay did
not go to the playoffs. No, that's what I'm just saying. Yeah,
I'm saying I told you I don't dislike bow Knicks.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
Rob.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
You got stats, Rob, I don't know if you want
me to read these stats. Guy's gonna make your case
fall apart.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
I'm talking about what I'm we no, no yards here
we go yards okay, and I touchdowns is all.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I said that bow Knicks had more.
Speaker 7 (24:53):
Sure, well he didn't. That's the problem twenty nine. When
you include the entire season. No, no, no, I'm not
talking about you can't tell you so now it's a
regular season, regular season, Okay, that's.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
What it is.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Just when you're rookie of the year. When you're rookie,
even that's a fair point. He separate because what I
didn't make the post season. I'm fine with that.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
If Jane did make the postseason. So here's if you
just can't go, if you got to play one more game.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
It's not fair because you because you said the statististics
and he said, he's not the only guy to ever
make the NSC championship game rates the champion game, So
all of that's got to be included because you can't separate.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
It only applies to one and they don't.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
You know what I'm talking about the stats. All I'm
saying is he's not the first guy. If you told
me he was the first guy.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
Oh, he has the greatest quarterback rating up any Okay,
I would buy into it.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
So I'll read this stuff to you and you tell
me if your opinion changes, because you're saying it's not
just this, but in the totality is where his case
gets made.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
He tied the record for the most wins by a
rookie quarterback in the regular season the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Combined with Ben Roethlisberger.
Speaker 7 (25:56):
His team's ten wins increase year over year, third most
by any team, not just by a rookie quarterback in
NFL history. He became the fifth rookie to win two
playoff games and just the third to.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Win them both on the road.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
Okay, and then statistically regular season kids, that's a different conversation.
Like you said, for the totality of the season, he said,
NFL rookie quarterback records most total yards, total touchdowns, and
rushing yards third, most passing yards, second, most passing touchdowns,
fourth most rushing touchdowns. So when you combine the accolades
(26:31):
and the stats, how could you say that it's not easy?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Because what you just even said one of them, you
said he was tied for fifth.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
But you're putting it all together I get it.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
But I'm saying, when I look at some of these
other rookies and these other teams, other quarterbacks who have
gone to an NFC championship game their rookie year, He's
not the first, is all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Why do you keep going?
Speaker 1 (26:54):
The only thing I guess, the only thing I'm gonna
say is the first nobody says. They're saying, is that
boy look good?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
That's what I was saying. Isn't the greatest rookie season
of all time?
Speaker 1 (27:04):
But that's the story. I've been hearing people saying, that's
not what this boy looks good.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Dude.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
The Commanders half was one of those ones, and to me,
nobody's saying they got their quarterback.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
He had a fine season. They also won six.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Souse he to be number one on everything, so I'd
have to take a look at it. He's not even
number one with quarterback rating, which but that.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Doesn't mean anything. Go ahead, let me get this out ahead.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
Doesn't that take a look at your rookie season and
tells you how well you played a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
I'm just asking.
Speaker 7 (27:36):
He also had the highest quarter rating in the playoffs,
but then not just rookie quarterback.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Okay, but I'm asking you for a regular season rookie
play offensive player of the year. When you look at
quarterback rating, doesn't that factor everything in correct?
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Okay, and he's fourth. That's all I'm trying to make.
The point is he's not first. Dak Prescott had the
best quarterback rating. That's everything included in his rookie season.
And all I'm saying is what we do now is
anything that happens today is better than anything that's ever happened.
And that's what I pushed back.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Can there be and that's a Listen, I did c J. Stroud,
Let's say he was. I'm not saying. We're not saying
that last year about c J. Stroud. Yep, I guess
any similar CJ. Stroud had a better quarterback rating than.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
His quarterback and the only statt So that's what.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I was about to go because that includes everything.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
No, but that includes but that only includes like, you
can have a better QBR than me, but you didn't
win as many games as me.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
You can have a better QBR to me, but you
might not have made the postseason.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
So the QBR is just it's the same thing as
it know, somebody better because they have more points per game.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
No, No, but you know what I'm saying. No, but
that's how you put it in.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
And you can't always say that just because the team
won more games it was solely on him.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Know what I'm saying is person have control over right,
But I say, if you had a slightly better.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
QBR quarterback, wading quarterback or quarterback.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Right, but if I ran more, if I scored more
touchdowns running, or if I was but if hold on,
if my team, if I attributed to the winning of
the team more. All I'm simply saying is somebody have
a better QBR doesn't mean they had a better rookie campaign,
is all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
I'm not saying at the quarterback position, that's how you
judge the quarterback of the things that they control, That's
all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
When you look at him, like some of the stats
they talk about, like what he does on he's blitz.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's insane. He's a rookie.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
He's supposed to not see these defenses like that. My point,
my point is solely were caught up on. Whatever happened
yesterday is the greatest thing. And all I'm saying, I
get that people try to discount what's happened, and I'm
just going back to last year. I heard the same
conversation about seeing Stroud was good to great last year.
(29:53):
Can Jay and Daniels have improved? And can I level that?
Speaker 2 (29:56):
What I'm saying, I give you a name.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
RG three had the second best rookie quarterback rating. All right,
how did that career pan out?
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Well? He the commanders tore his knee up.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
They put that man back out there, and we ain't
seen him since, Yes we have unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Yeah, No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (30:12):

Speaker 9 (30:57):

Man?
Speaker 2 (30:59):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (31:00):
I think it's what since Christmas left the show?
Speaker 9 (31:03):
Honestly, it's been a minute.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (31:06):
Not much, man, I just.
Speaker 6 (31:07):
Want to call. As far as about the.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Man, what's that again?
Speaker 6 (31:14):
That's cool man, that's the show you I did was fire, was.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Fire, It was good.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:20):
Yeah, all the throwbacks and the parents is going on.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Yeah, yeah, TV things on Thursday you talking about. Yeah,
everybody could connect to that, Trey, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Seriously the baby man, but definitely man, I mean, yeah,
Josh everything.
Speaker 9 (31:39):
I mean, I think eventually he'll get there.
Speaker 8 (31:42):
It's gonna take some time, man, Yeah, we's.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
Gonna go right.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Yeah, things gotta happen, you never know.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Tell Lamar, Josh Lamar, Josh yeah, Josh Yeah, all right,
all right, Trey, we appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Thanks more. Yeah, no doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Yeah, I mean that's what that's he Josh and Lamar
right there like they literally that's why he was so
devastated because he's like, man, I took a step forward,
lowest turnovers. I wasn't turning the ball over. We had
a lot of success.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
We ran the ball.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
By the way, I said this once, Rob g maybe
once or twice. I should have been emphasizing it more.
How freaking good James Cook is and people don't talk
about it. I said that a few several weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
So they were always trying to make a cage for you.
He didn't have the talent.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
And when I would say that VP, I was like,
by the way, they keep backing like James Cook ain't
out there cooking. James Cook can catch, can run. He's
slightly built, so you kind of feel like he can't
run in the inside. He can run inside and outside.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
But that was that was just a narrative because Lamar
had Derrick Henry. It was like, but oh he got
Derrick Henry, and I get that. But is really really good.
He's probably like outside of the top two or three backs.
He's right up in there. I mean, he's really really good.
And I saw his brother, Dalvin Cook tweet I don't
know if you guys saw that.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
He tweeted out he said at twenty million a year
for is before his little brother. So that was pretty
cool that you know, he's showing his brother some love,
Robzi something I don't know about that.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
I mean, he's a running back. That's the issue. Even
if he's worth it, they're gonna find a way not
to pay him that. But yeah, he's he's really, he's
really good. Twenty million dollars in Buffalo wings.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
I'm out there. You get all the Buffalo wings you
want in Buffalo. But he's really, he's really good. So, no,
did Buffalo come up with the wings?
Speaker 4 (33:24):
I mean really, of all the places, I still don't
get that where they get credit for the Buffalo wings.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
I mean, somebody it would have been. It would have
been the Saint Louis wings or you know what I mean,
somebody had to do it. Detroit wings. What do you
want some Miami wings?
Speaker 7 (33:38):
I did say, Rob that was secretly funnier than anything
else you've said today.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
It was it fun. How did Buffalo come up with
the wings? Yeah, I'm like, I don't even know to
I don't know how.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
That's a good question. I mean, all they did the
best part about it. All they did was they just
took a whole wing but ripped it in half. It
was like, was like full sauce, right, I mean if
you're just haven't regularly just hot sauce and butter. Elijah's
shaking his head, but we ate it like that, but
you don't like the buffalo mon. So we got all
the flavors. Lemon pemon. Lemon pepper is really good, but
(34:14):
we got we gotta, we gotta setle Lemon pepper is
really good. But we were getting carried away, like like
if it's still Louisiana rub is the best. Louisiana rub.
There's a spicy career is good? Yeap what No, you're right,
You're right. I just need to sip, that's all. Sometimes
(34:38):
you gotta have a little sip. Uh, Louisiana rub. Lemon
pepper is good. Garlic parmejan by the.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Way, it is overrated. No no, no, no, that's my overrated.
That's your second one. That's first.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Oh love and limon pepper. I thought you were little like.
I like lemon pepper too, only win in Rome, you
know what I mean. But I do love uh galic
garlic palm. I'm a galic palm for sure. The career
and barbecue joint, the little the wet ones palm. That
was why I was gonna say a lot of the
garlic palms are drying. What so okay, who does that?
Speaker 2 (35:11):
W stop? Wink stopes wing stop.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Okay, maybe I got no buffalo wa wa wing does
the wet does?
Speaker 2 (35:18):
That's what it is. They do the dry it's just
too still good, but not the wet. Yeah, wet. The
wet is definitely. It's like when I'm taking a shot
a jumper. You know what.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
All right, Well, we're down in the wet to the gym.
I need to see you shoot a jumper. Let me
see that again lest your air jumper can be good.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
I showed it my shot I made against Nancy while
backed down through Nancy Liberman.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
She's a Hall of Famer. Okay, you're back. You didn't
finish your back down, and and I made a shot,
all right, all right, oh Mary, all right, Well a
couple you thought Alex was over there. That's why I
trysh talking tomorrow.
