So it's been awesome to see that and and get
some love from people down here in New Orleans. Uh
and for people who came all over the country to
be here specifically, so I want to say big shots
to all of them.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Man. It was good.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Like for us, this was our first trip together with
Kelvin being a part of it, and rob GE's here
and Elijah and Saga, and we kind of did a
lot of stuff together. It went out to eat and
hung out and it was good.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
It was I got to see how married you and
rob G are. We just keep backing for I know, like,
what are you doing? What are you doing? Milk? I
got the milk, it's sitting there. I left the keys,
I got them for you. Yeah. I got to see
that firsthand. So yes, right, seven years rob G, that's
a long time. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
We got to see Bussorry yesterday too. So it has
just been it's been great man. And the the hospitality
here in New Orleans has to be expected because you
only hear good things. I've been here before as you have,
and it didn't let us down again. Everybody's been great.
So it's been a great week.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
So ready to close it out with a big show man,
no doubt, a lot to do so little time.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
So yeah, we will get there and let's kick it
off because you know, I first will say my panties
weren't a bunch last night. Thanks all the Texas.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yeah, you know how they were much of the bunch. No, no,
because you ain't even welcome in to coop the crew.
Let me just I know, you know, I'm all worked out.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
That's how I know.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
You walk them in the couple jumping at the rob.
I know, let's welcome in the odd couple of cool.
You wouldn't be able to do this five radio program
without him. Of course, Rob g is our producer. Steve
de Sager is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us
updated throughout the program and.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Of course on the ones and twos.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Why your bug, and I already said Elijah of course
our social media guru.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
He's packed. I'm out for a little bit right on the.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Whole show way, making sure he got about six bags
suitcases ready to go.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
And we got to uh me and spent some time
with miss Eliza. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yes, I told her, I said, oh, it's great to
know who puts up with him all the time. Exact, Yes,
that's me that Yeah, we actually have. Yeah, we heard
of her. We ain't heard of Elijah, exactly right, we
we we haven't heard of you, but we.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Heard of her.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
We ain't heard of you, right, I lived the same thing.
People that ain't not excited when they see me, they
excited so much so. Robster has a screenshot of my wife,
but no I deleted it.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
I deleted all right, maybe not okay, all right, let's
do this. So last night, of course, we didn't get
the announcement in time for the show.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Remember we were waiting on it. We thought that the
NFL Honors would happen during the show and we would
start over. They prolonged that.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Yes, whether or not Eli Manning got in on the
first ballot, you said he wouldn't, Rob g said he wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
You guys were right. I thought he would.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Get in, and uh, you know, Eli read the comments
that he's find with it and he called the other people.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
But you know, here's did we start? We start there?
You are because you listen, y'all.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Let me let me what we got two things and
what I'm trying to tell you, rob has been interrupted
all of our servers and waiters all day.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Sir, do you want fries with the burger? Let's see you.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Josh Allen hat no way, Lamar was job. She's trying
to do a job and get our food. Rob okay.
So so let's get straight to it. Josh Allen winning
m v P.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
But you also, you guys text me and yes and
and that was the other one, and you both were saying,
Josh Allen, rob g almost all year you were along
the ride. I didn't believe it when when I saw
the All Pro and eleven years right, the last the
last eleven quarterbacks, it hasn't happened. And somehow people change

(06:51):
their votes. Dan Olowski changes vote, Emmanuel Acho and changed
his vote. Uh and and really my message and you
might have seen on social media for some people maybe not,
but they're cowards. The voters wind up being cowards. And
the other people we haven't heard from, so we don't know.
Because it's like ten people change their votes, right is

(07:12):
that the number?

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Like ten? So we OneD thereself another seven or eight
people out there.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
We don't know how you could vote for somebody for
All Pro but not the MVP. And that's my point
about being cowards if you want. It's not that I'm
I'm against voting for Josh Allen. The one thing I
do respect is everybody has a vote and have the
right to vote who they want.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Okay, I've always.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Said that, right, I've said that, like I don't agree
with it. I didn't think Billy Wagner deserved to get
in the Hall of Fame, but that's your vote. Enough
people voted for him. I'm not gonna fight that. Okay.
It's not math two and two four, no matter who's
doing the math. So everybody has their things. But my
thing is, deep down they knew they couldn't shut Lamar out.

(07:58):
So it was like, I'm we're gonna give Lamar this
because we know we're taking away the MVP, and it
was like a like and I call it splitting the
baby in half.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You can't do that.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
If you were really about Josh Allen and his importance,
then he should have been All Pro first Team and
the MVP or vice versa. Lamar should have been All
Pro first Team and MVP. To split it makes absolutely
no sense. Hasn't been done since nineteen eighty seven, and

(08:35):
that's where I think the voters became cowards because if
you're a Josh Allen guy, go with Josh Allen, give
them all the accolades. You can't tell me he's not
first team but he's MVP. That doesn't even go together.
It's illogical. And that's the issue that I have here.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Here's so I feel you on that. But also to
add to the issued, here's the trouble with this. When
things are made, it's you know, have voters who are
people of people are going to people. People come in
with their own ideologies of what something is. People come
on with their own storylines they're tired of, or what
they want more of, or how they view the phrase.

(09:12):
And we do this with every sport MVP every two years.
We have this argument in the NBA because this person,
Carl Malone will went over Jordan, Derick Rose went over Lebron,
Steve nashall went over Shaq and Kobe. People will say,
ain't no way you're trying to tell me Steve nash
is better, And they said, well, no, it's not that he's.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Better, it's that he's the most valuable.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Same thing happened here is it the best player, which
in how you and I believe is Lamar?

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Is it the best player on the best team.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Well to something you said, issue is it then Patrick
Mahomes or Jared Goff. Is it the best stats? Then
maybe that's Joe Burrow or Lamar. So it becomes so
many things. It becomes so subjective to these folks. And
that's what happened. Autro talked about it. He said, well,
I called him and I asked him, well, what's the criteria,
and they are like, oh, well, all pro is who

(10:00):
had the best season, they should they should have taken
they should.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Have taken his vote away if he didn't know. Because
this is the only pushback I'm gonna give you. Every
other year, nobody had a question of what what because
I don't buy that, Like you're saying, we don't know
what MVP is.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
So the other last time eleven quarter guys okay, and
so so nobody else had an issue. The problem is
we're in a in a period where you have narratives
rather than numbers.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And now I'll go back to this with Billy Wagner.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Just really quickly, he got ten point five percent of
the vote, didn't pitch for nine years, but the narrative
was for a left handed pitcher. He's outstanding. Do you
see what I'm saying? So a narrative built up, and
the narrative for Josh Allen became came to life. Joe
l embid a narrative. Oh my god, you can't give

(10:52):
the joker three championships without of I mean three MVPs
without a chance that.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
But then he wound up winning anyway. That is why narrative.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
And you know it's not that I don't think Lamar
is the best player. I've said, including Patrick Mahomes this year,
Lamar Jackson was the best player in football period. I've
said it all year. But I know how people do.
People start here, Oh, josh Allen doesn't have anything. He
only has this player, which which is after overstated because
James Cook gets down. The offensive line is great, Erry good.

(11:22):
Defense has been strong, not great, but stronger, and they
have they have some obviously kinkaidan other tight ends like
they're not barren. They don't that the cupboard isn't empty. Uh,
but that became a big storyline. Look what josh Alla
is doing, Josh Allen in his own division. Some people
had with the healthy tool, the Dolphins are going to
be better than them. We already know what the chiefs

(11:44):
are gonna do. We know what the expectations are on
Lamar Jackson. So all Lamar did was Lamar what he
was supposed to do. Josh overachieved. And I knew people
were gonna say that. I knew people were tired of
Lamar Lamarin because subconsciously in the back of their head,
not supposed to count rob They're gonna.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Say, but he ain't gonna do nothing in the playoffs.
But no, they're not supposed to.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
But but they also the no, you're gonna tell me
Brett Favre, all right, Barry Bonds won seven? How many
World Series did he win?

Speaker 5 (12:14):
Zero?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
When when I hear that, I just think it's a
false that's a false statement. But other guys hold on.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Peyton Manning was considered what a regular season great quarterback
and a failure in the playoffs for most of his career.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yet he's still won five.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
So now to use that against Lamar is unfair, That's
all I'm saying. I agree, but Manny has a losing record.
But all the time in the postseason conversation I had,
we talk about it more. It's on every show more.
The narratives are out there.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
It's the literal first thing on every show is in
there is Josh Allen, is Lamar Gonna?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Is he not good enough? Or is there the narratives?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
We hear them over and over and I think those
things penetrate people's minds. And when you go back to
Barry Bonds, Barry Bonds was literally just that much better.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Than everybody else. It wasn't even close. There was no right.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
But they could have said, well, buddy, what I'm saying
two hundred in the postseason?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Right, But I'm saying there was no rival for him
for a run once he became Barry Posts, you know what?
There was just simply no rival. And so I'm saying
with Lamar and Josh, at least it was comp like okay,
but see it.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
But even the argument, if it's numbers, it's Lamar. If
it's wins, how is it Josh? When Jared Golf and
Patrick Mahomes had more? So which one is it? Patrick
Mahomes is just the strongest Chiefs team. No, they won
fifteen games, right, fifteen to two, But he got no
first place votes, so it can't be about winning. This

(13:38):
is what I'm trying to say, and then you can't
say it's about numbers because Lamar's numbers are so much.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
The best thing in this case to me was people
felt Josh Allen took a Bills team that some predicted
wouldn't even win their division, might even be second in
the Vision, might even be third in their division, to
the Jets with a healthy Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
So that was a real thing.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I think they're looking at him and saying, Josh Allen
this team, and he overachieved.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
And then Lamar start owing to four was it the Bill?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Lamar started owing to only nine percent of teams that
start owing to make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
And the point is, you shouldn't have been on the championship.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
They're on the they're on the they're the best division.
They're they're in the best they're in the best division
of and we'll talk later about coach of the Year.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
It's the same conversation, like, oh, expectations, I expected you
are already in the AFC Championship, Lamar, You're supposed to
do that. You're supposed to be good this year, and
Josh Allen overachieved.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
That was the narrative.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
I knew people were gonna run with even though I've
said it, you said it, Lamar is the best player, all.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven,
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. What a
voters coward for picking Lamar Jackson for All Pro but
Josh Allen for m VP. I think they were cowards,
the cowardly lions, all those voters. Dan Olowski, Ammanuel, Emmanuel

(14:57):
Ocho whatever.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
We'll continue that conversation next man. It's Manuel O cho Seko.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
It's the Odd Couple right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Stick and stay.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Unless you're a coward voting in the US of A.
That's right.

Speaker 3 (15:13):

Speaker 1 (15:55):
When that packet you actually know you, all the stuff
left behind will swag and stuff'll.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
See the change that falls out of people's pockets. Okay,
we change everywhere.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah, I figured there's gonna be something left behind, that's
for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
And by the way, they're not playing around out here.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
No, no, we'll probably be one of a couple of
last shows there are packing up quickly to get up
out of here.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
All right.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
We're talking about Josh Allen Wins the MVP, and it
we made no sense if you look at his the
last eleven years of the All Pro quarterback, who wins
has been the MVP? Not the case in this sense?
So are the writers cowards for changing their minds? Is
there something we're missing? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox who we got?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
All right?

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Rick and Tucson, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
What's up breaking? What's up? Well?

Speaker 6 (16:38):
Good afternoon or good evening, wherever you guys.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Are, Yes, sir, yeah, I think it'd be evening. Now.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
Yeah, but I have.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
To when I look at most Valuable Player, regardless of
the sport, what individual contributed more to the winning seasons?
And there's only two people that I think probably should
have been in this discussion, and Frankly won and I
think Shakwan Barkley should have been the MVP. His efforts

(17:09):
is production led more to Philadelphia than any other of it.
And they were all great.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Okay, here's money problem.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
I'll say to you, Hey, they went to the super
Bowl without, say Kwan bar I'm not trying to discount
what he's done and number two in the NFL. You
can say whatever you want. And Kelvin Knowles, you agree
with me. Without a quarterback, you're not doing anything. Okay,
so you can act like the quarterback and the running
back and whatever. Look at the teams that don't have quarterbacks.

(17:42):
They have no shot for their season.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Now, I agree that they shouldn't change it to MVQ,
but you get.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Value quarterback commeding. Why are we even acting like it
could be another player. I'm just saying, if you don't
have a quarterback, your season's throw.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
But Kwame he was insanely orton to what the Eagles did.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
So I do hear that? Yeah, we got ex.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Greg in Louisiana, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
What's up? Greg?

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Thanks?

Speaker 7 (18:09):
Different take to my call. I am going to contribute
to the bastros takes I heard today.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
Either the people on the radio being trunk or hungover,
because absolutely.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
You're the one so much point, Henry, your.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Phone is going, You're You're called right back. My god,
oh my god. I want to hear your point, but
we can't. We can't hear you.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Yeah, you gotta call it right back, but you're going, You're.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
Going in and out and we cannot hear you. So
it won't make any sense for you to continue on.
What about Greg in Las Vegas? You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Hey, how y'all doing fellas good?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Greg? How are you good?

Speaker 5 (18:53):
Good?

Speaker 7 (18:53):
So look, this is as much as the change mean
to say to this coming home Darphin saying Josh Allen
actually does the MVP. It's called most Valuable Player, And
if you think about it, didn't Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
Lose to the Cleveland Browns this year and you had
to pull like a heroic.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Didn't he didn't He beat the Buffalo Bills this year,
beat him down to.

Speaker 5 (19:14):
Yeah, yeah, man, he did.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Look at the team, the playoff teams that the Ravens beat,
that they had an unbelievable record.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
No, I.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
The Cleveland Browns the rate.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
John Shallon also had ninety yards against the Houston Texans
in the game.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
And your point the playoff team.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
Can you say the same thing about the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
No, you can't, but.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
The Vision, Yeah, could you say that was a bad loss?
That can't be the singular reason a bad loss. I
mean that there has to be more than just a
single loss, right.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
Yeah, I'll give you.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Oh yeah, I appreciate it. I mean I get that.
I've said I said that they were gonna use you know,
they lost to it was that the Raiders too, or
the Raiders came back. I can't remember.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
They had lost, had the Raiders the Browns? But they
also beat some really good playoff teams. Yeah, that's my point.

Speaker 7 (20:06):
For more.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Brandon in Riverside, California, you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
What's up, Brandon?

Speaker 7 (20:13):
Uh, that was hurt yesterday, guys, I was hurt when
I thought that notification gone through me. He got snubbed
all year.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
All year, he's.

Speaker 7 (20:23):
He put up the numbers, even Dion, he was on
the Damn Pops Show in the morning. Yeah, he said
he got snubbed. And he's said that he had a
better year than his previous year of last year. What
do you want the MVP? So he said he can
you not give it to him when he did better
this year? And yeah, I know they had they didn't
start off right with you know, they had a losing

(20:44):
record at for whatever. But every time they needed to
move the ball up and down the field, he won
the one he put the ball in his hand to
put his team in the winning situation, even against.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Kansas City right season, Kansas.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
City of the guys that lively, Yeah, we lost on
the line, Like wasn't on the line.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
That was another The issue is the reason a lot
of people said last year Josh had the better stats,
but Lamar did you.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Know what, Lamar last year had ten wins against really
good teams.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
But I know, like saying, I know, we're saying if
you did that last year for Josh, that's why he lost.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
But going into that and say going into that last game.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
But my other thing is then they should have voted
for Josh for first team All Pro.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
That that's my issue.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
You can't look at and say Josh was that great
as quarterback.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
But but but he should All Pro. But he wasn't
All Pro.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
And the big me to is how Lamar's number they
weren't better, Like he almost had five hundred more rushing yards, dude,
he had another one hundred more passing yards, so it
wasn't like a hair by the ten.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
And he had chlobe one passing touch up to like
twenty six.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Like that's a big number, it's huge. And that's why
I mean, he was just remarkable. And again all of them,
those three remarkable. But I just thought Josh Lamar was
the best player. But again I just knew Josh was
gonna get it because of the narratives that were gonna
be written. All right, we have Sean King down with
the King on the other side. But right now, what's
trending with Steve the saga? What's up?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Save what's happening to my man?

Speaker 8 (22:18):

Oh my boys gonna play with the Lakers. I'm sorry.

Minnesota's Anthony Edwards is questionable for Saturday with a sore hip.
Guard Ben Simmons is reportedly finalizing a buyouts with the Nets.

(23:24):
NBA All Star Saturday Night in about a week will

college hoops on FS one right now with USC at
seventh rank, perdue for dou out to a thirty five
twenty five leads seven and a half minutes to go

a half an hour, it's a Top twenty matchup of
Saint John's at Yukon. Among the five NHL games tonight,
Rangers out to a one nothing lead in the first on.

PGA event.

Speaker 1 (23:58):

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Former NFL quarterback post we are down with the King.
We are down with the King. What's up, Sean?

Speaker 5 (24:38):
I just want to confirm when I know you guys
either new or now know again that is the greatest
city in the United States of America. I went to
two Lane. I hope you guys having a great time.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Man already I've opened up two belt loops, so I'm yes.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
He already.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Hey, it's the one time he ain't lying.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
We've been eating. But we've been eating.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
It has been great, as you know, man, the hospitality
of the food has been a wonderful time.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Sean.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Sean's we got to start with Lamar. And here's my issue.
I'm calling the voters cowards because if Josh Allen's that
guy should have been the first team all first Team
Pro Quarterback and the MVP. I don't believe that you
can flip votes. That doesn't make any sense. It's like
splitting the baby in half. Which one is it? How

(25:24):
can you do that? It's never been done. The last
quarterbacks with first Team All Pro All won the MVP,
and now you're switching it up against Lamar.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
Well, you know me, Rob, You've been around me a
long time. Especially when it comes to my peers, like
my former colleagues, I'm very comfortable calling them by name.
And when you have voters like Dan Oblowski who are
trying to stand for Josh Allen and want to create
some kind of narrative that the first team All Pro
quarterback couldn't sum universe not be the NFL MVP, that's

(25:59):
the most ridicut thing I've ever heard. This isn't about
the Buffalo Bills Ring of Honor. This is a National
Football League MVP. So don't tell me who's most valuable
to his team. That's for the team to put in
their stadium, retire that jersey. We're talking about the league.
But as long as you have people like my good
friend Dan who I played with, given a narrative that

(26:20):
he's trying to give that the two are independent of
each other. That's how you get these mistakes and errors.
It's not Lamar's fault, but he's already won two and
just so happens this time he's got better stats than
either of those years. He deserved it, He should have
won it. He should have been first team All Pro
and NFL MVP. No offense to Josh Allen. It is

(26:40):
in the knock on Josh Allen. This is a deficiency,
in my opinion, in the voting.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
That's why I call him cowards because you can't split
the vote.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
If you really thought it was Josh Allen, then you
should vote. You should have voted MVP and All Pro.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Do that. So Sean, let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Sean, you you have a voter, you're one of these
voters for these two things, All Pro and the MVP.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
How do you do it?

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Because you have people who say, well, I don't know,
you know, I look at MVP like this, or I
look at All Pro separate it's the best season now.
They don't know what they How are you I'm giving
you a vote, Sean King, what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (27:18):
What are you saying?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
You're picking Lamar because or I know you've probably picked Squan.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
You said, but why are you? Why? What is the
what's your criteria?

Speaker 5 (27:26):
I'm trying to figure out, why don't I have a vote?
Why don't the real.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Ones like me you need a vote?

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Why I've been in the broadcast in booth, I've been
in the right I played. Why don't I have a vote?
And here's the thing, Kwan Barkley is actually the NFL MVP,
but we already have created this thing called Offensive Player
of the Year toward a none quarterback that deserves to

(27:53):
be MVP some kind of credit and recognition. So now
the next thing we're gonna do is we're gonna start
dividing the MVP vote between that and first team All
Pro quarterback. Like, come on, guys, it's almost like this
little league. Everybody gets in truth right, come on, this
is the big boy league. These are big boys. They

(28:14):
know you really did a huge discredit to Lamar Jackson.
I'm going to publicly apologize for all the voters. Lamar,
I didn't get a vote, and I've been overly critical
of you at times, but you deserve to be the
twenty twenty four NFL MVP.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
No, no doubt and this whole thing. They voth voted
Brett Farth three year. Oh, they got voters fat, They
tied it giving it to the same player that didn't
stop them with.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Brett farv Pey Manning got five.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Peyton Manning before he wasn't having no playoff success, Sean,
they still would vote him at VP.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Come on, Yeah, it's definitely a hypocrisy that exists. And
I mean, as long as the process doesn't change or evolved,
or they don't grade the actual voters because just like
that grade the referees, right, I don't know where that

(29:11):
test is hell and we don't ever get to see it.
But that's why there's a different set of referees generally
for the Super Bowl, Like the voter should be graded
and listen, it's an aspect of human opinion when it
comes to Lamar and Johns. But those voters that didn't
have one or the other in the top four, like
when you submit those kind of balance to me, that's.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Cr somebody had Lamary had a fourth, right ball.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Football, were you watching that he was fourth, you might
as well not voted for him.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
That's just straight up personal at that point.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
That's person that personal, because that don't make that don't
make any sense.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Hey, Sean King is our guest, of course. Uh. Former
NFL QB and.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Fox Sports Radio NFL analysts Real Sean King on Twitter, Sean,
let's let's get to the actual game. We do have
a game, big game coming up here on Sunday. You
mentioned Sa Kwa. We know you've been ringing his you know,
seeing his praises all season. Is he the difference maker
this time around for the Eagles to get the job
done against the Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
I don't think say Kwan will be the one that
determines if Philadelphia wins there loses. Jalen Hurts two years
ago played the best game I've ever seen him play
in the Super Bowl and they lost to the Chiefs.
If he can duplicate that performance, this Chiefs team, to me,
isn't as complete as the one two years ago. I
think Philly's got a chance. Well, it'll come down to

(30:34):
ken Jaalen Hurts against these different blitz looks that confuse
Josh Allen. They've confused multiple quarterbacks and I think are
more experienced than Jalen throughout this run for the Chiefs.
Can he diagnose what Steve Spagnola is presenting him with
and get the ball accurately on time to the right player.
If he can do that, Philly wins. If he can't,

(30:55):
it's Chiefs all day, baby, first team organization in NFL history.
To Will who will have won three in a row, their.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Luck is gonna run out.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
And I'm predicting a missfield goal with him having a
chance to tie. That's what I'm hoping for, and I
will be doing the I will dance all the way
back home or whatever.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Let me ask you to we saw the again. I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
I'm a Baseball Hall of Fame voter. I know the process,
I know how it works. I don't understand the pro
football Hall of Fame process. I don't understand how Adam Venitaria,
guy like that isn't in the Hall of Fame already
without those kicks, Sean, if he misses two or three,
you're not even talking about Tom Brady?

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Am I right?

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Like?

Speaker 2 (31:41):
How is he not involved? And then Eli Manning?

Speaker 4 (31:44):
What I don't understand, and this is me if you're
talking about, well, we'll put him in down the road.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
If you're gonna get in, what.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Is the difference is he's a first ballot, second ballot,
third ballot. Either you're a Hall of Famer or you're not.
And I don't know how Eli Manning was not put in.
I don't know, but I don't know what's your opinion
on that yesterday.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
So I'm generally very opinionated and very direct. One of
the few things that I tend to not have a
strong opinion on is the National Football League Hall of Fame.
This is the one part where I defer to guys
that are in the Hall of Fame. I feel like
that's such an elite club. I defer to them. So

(32:27):
I'm waiting to hear some of their comments in my opinion,
and that's why I prefaced it with I may not
even be qualified to comment on this, but I do
think it becomes about relationship relationships just as it much
just as much as it was about career for some
of these guys. The ones who are really popular, who

(32:49):
have all the friendships, relationships that are on the edge,
could could not they tend to get in. The ones
that are kind of either disliked by the media taking
to real are the ones that are really private, that
just stay out of the way. They tend to take
longer to get in. I do think you did a

(33:09):
disservice to Eli, because there's still levels within the Hall
of Fame, Like everybody's in as a Hall of Famer,
but then there's a group in there the first ballot,
So you did eliminate him from one group that's within
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
But I get that.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
But my issue is if he gets in, he's still
a Hall of Famer, he still gets a jacket. He's
still when you say a Hall of Famer, Eli Manning,
so nobody says third ballot hall of Famer, Eli Manning.
And that's what I'm trying to say. Like for me,
if I vote for you the first time, I'm gonna
vote for you every time you're in a ballot. If

(33:45):
I don't vote for you the first time, I never
vote for you, because, Sean, your numbers don't change.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
That's my issue is that they can only vote a
certain amount of people.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
But that's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
If there are ten people who are really eligible or
worthy they.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Be voting that.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
I agree with that, but I mean they can only
what was it five, They can only bring in So
it's like, and that's the issue they have already showed
the five for next season.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
It doesn't.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
I mean, since seven that are eligible, I don't think
Eli's gonna get in there. I don't know if you
had a chance, Seawann to see next year's it is.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
So maybe here's one adjustment. A player that's on the
ballot for the first time doesn't count against the five.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
All right, said right, that probably is the way it
should be. All right, So you got the chief pick
it quick for us. I got got the Chiefs gotta
score for us.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
Absolutely, I've been wrong for the first two Chiefs games,
and I'm going back to the well again because I'm
hardheaded in my daddy did not raise a quitter. Isaiah
piceco over twenty one and a half leshn yards and
anytime touchdown. Remember there's been some games two years ago.
Cadarius Tony caught two touchdown passes. Last year it was
my quess out there scantling and like the other fourth

(34:56):
or fifth free five when it caught the touchdown. So
when you're doing these prompts, I think outside the box
with the Chiefs offensive personnel.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
All right, there you have it. Shot. Appreci Thank you man,
thank you for being with us. Season.

Speaker 1 (35:07):

(36:15):
Here we go one and two, so we're at thirty
six and thirty nine. So let's see what we got here.
We got three games.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
Best bet, I'm taking Toronto plus.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
Eighteen and a half almost.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
Twenty points, but you know they're thirty and forty point
blocks in the NBA. I'm still gonna take Toronto plus
eight and eighteen and a half for your fan. Oh right, see,
well they have played better, a little bit better, but
not eighteen and a half points against OKC on the road.
I'm also got that's my best bet. I'm also taking

(36:50):
Phoenix minus eight and a half. They're hosting the Utah
Jazz a little later on tonight, and this game has
already started, but I picked it. We got the Brooklyn
plus eight and a half hosting the Miami Heat in Brooklyn,
So the Nets plus eight and a half hosting the
Miami Heat, Toronto plus eighteen and a half, and the

(37:14):
Phoenix Suns minus eighteen and a half and Kelvin.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Remember this, Yeah, what's that? I'm not telling you who
to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on.
All right.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
Speaking of betting, one of the things people love to
bet on is obviously boxing. And Rob Ge we've been
talking about this for a couple of days where we
had Canelo supposedly getting ready to fight Terrence Crawford.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
They're gonna go up to.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
What was it, sixty eight and we were like, oh wow,
we might actually get a bit. It's obviously a lot
on Bud Crawford to add that weight, but we might
get a good fight. Well, then that got called off,
we thought reportedly they reportedly it might be Canelo and
Jake Paul, Jack Paul or I say Jake Jake Paul,
And now we're back to Canelo and Terrence Crawford.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (37:58):
You know what's funny about the Canello Jake Paul, which
Rob I think he listened to the show because he
heard rob and how disappointed he would have been.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
So he's like, I can't do that.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
They're listening, so okay, yeah, I'm sure they want to.

Speaker 9 (38:09):
Know how bad that would be. And for this about
face to come down. Now, if you want to be
a skeptic, you're gonna say Canelo was using Jake Paul
the way Jake Paul's used boxing fans for sure to
get a bigger bag from uh Turkey and and and
the Saudi you know group, because not even twenty four
hours after we had heard that.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
This deal was done.

Speaker 9 (38:31):
Not only are we supposed to get Connel well Jake
Paul fights off, We're supposed to get Canelo versus Crawford
in September, but you're gonna get a total of four
Canelo fights between now and a year and a half
from now, over the next.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Two years basically.

Speaker 9 (38:46):
So this is an awkward situation because of the reporting
and things. What's being what's done, what's not done. But
I gotta say this, this Saudi investment group is say,
single handedly saving boxing.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
It's kind of crazy you would think that.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
But because he's got all the money, he can actually
he can do what we've been hoping for for the
last fifteen years of boxing.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Let me pay for the best fights.

Speaker 9 (39:08):
Yeah, he's like that single governing box basically, let me pay,
that's all.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
But they don't want to, you know, work with a
governing body like they used to buy.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Him at it. But only because he has money, right,
That's what I'm saying. Like that's the only way.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Well, I mean people with money tendon you know, even
I ain't gonna say government, you know, leave that alone.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
But you can you can buy things too.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
So if hopefully this works, because the whole point I
was making the other day was this would be great
for us to see two guys still in their primes,
still great and we can actually see if they can
go at it and have a great fight.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Hoping.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
So, hey, Eli not in first ballot, how does he
feel about it? We'll tell you it's the odd couple
