Speaker 1 (00:34):

We are the Odd Couple, broadcasting live from the tire

Speaker 2 (01:08):
And now it's time for the Express Pros Pro of the.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Week and that who that could only be Eagles quarterback
Jalen Hurts, who had two hundred and ninety three total
yards three touchdowns en route to being named the Super
Bowl MVP. So again, congratulations to Jalen Hurts for being
our Express pros Pro of the Week. Don't forget Rod
(01:33):
Woodson's coming up in about twenty eight minutes. The Hall
of Fame dB, Fox Sports Radio, NFL analysts all that
and much more, But let's go to Jalen Hurts and again,
what a performance by the Eagles. Were giving them their props.
They did it. They blew out the Chiefs forty to
twenty two. It was really forty to six. And once again,
(01:57):
mister Kelvin Washington, I'm gonna take you to task because
you were one of the many people who kept doubting.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Jalen Hurts. Oh, I can't throw all.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I'm looking at his number the last few we are
what happens if they start shut.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Down Saquon Barkley. That's what you said? What what they
can't win?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Michaeh Parsons, You guys go ahead, keep listening to those
dumb podcasts. Go yeah, here's the way. All you gonna
do is make Jalen to the football. That's how you
beat the Eagles. Stop Saquon Barkley, who averaged two yards
of carry fifty seven yards on what twenty five carries,
(02:39):
and they blew out the Chiefs. But that was the
game plan because everybody was so busy disrespecting Jalen Hurts.
Is he the best quarterback in the league? No, but
this dude can play. Can we stop already with this?
We saw it a couple of years ago in the
Super Bowl. He had a performance that it was suitable
(03:00):
for framing like your College of picture. I mean, it
was fantastic. Other than the fumble. We might have beaten
him then as well the Chiefs. So now that he
has the Super Bowl ring and the MVP or whatever,
maybe we can calm down on this Jalen Hurts and
whether or not this guy is good or not.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Is he the best player? No, best quarterback?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
No, but the idea of people kept second guessing whether
or not he could play. Despite It's not like we
didn't see flashes of it. We saw a whole season
of it. Last year he struggled, but a new offensive coordinator,
and this year I think he finally got what they
were trying to do and even said it. They were
basically because the run game was so strong, you don't
(03:47):
need to throw it around the yard. But guess what
when they locked down and put an extra man in
a couple guys to stop say kwon Barkley. Did that
stop the Eagles? No, it did not.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
He made some great throatta. I think the only difference
I would say, I have a few different talks. I
want you to talk you sure, yes, hold on breaking news.
Depend the that Rob Parker is done in two minutes flat.
That means you must want to eat you a little
lunchable over there. That's what this is. This you want
to get too luxible, That's all that is.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
No.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
I know I hogged the mic in the dead our one,
so I'm trying to all good. Look, so a couple
of things, Jalen hurts, I don't.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I don't think.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
I think you overstated, or at least I'll speak for myself.
I can't speak for anybody else. It was never a
question of is he good? That wasn't it. It was
a question of a couple of things. You even admitted.
We all kind of went was that an anomaly? How great?
He was a couple of Super Bowl you know, SUPERSO.
We're like that guy. We were like, Wow, if this
is his future, man, it's about to be scary, we thought.
(04:45):
And then there was a regression. Last year he threw
a bunch of interception what was it like fifteen interceptions
last year?
Speaker 2 (04:50):
He didn't look like himself coming off that Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
So we're Rodrick Mahomes, who so we said, it hasn't
looked like what we he traditionally does. So the same
way you questioned Patrick Home, same way Patrick Mahomes's question, like, man,
I got to get better throughout the season. That's a
fair criticism to have of Jalen Hurts was to say, man,
something seems a little offer.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
He's not quite what you know we thought. Can you
say this?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, people were making him like he was the weak
link and all you got to do is stop Saquan
Not that's the problem.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I'm about to get to that. So I'm about to
get to that. Let me before I get to that,
let me continue to walk you through the season. What
made it weird? You hear about he and Nick Sirianni
having issues in the offseason, you know, coming to that
having some real issues because he wants to say, hey,
let me lose, let me get busy more, let me
do what I know I can do. Them saying now
we want to run it more. Kellen Moore wants to
run the ball more. Ultimately, great decision. But when you're
(05:40):
seeing these things in real time, you have his own
receivers coming out. Rob this is this is why I'm saying.
It wasn't just man, he can't play. It was like, man,
what's going on with them? His own receivers? You see
what it is. I ain't getting the ball, DeVante Smith
not saying something. So I think there was more of
a question of like, well, what seems to be the issue.
He wants to pass more, they don't want to. The
receivers mad at him. So it was more of a
(06:02):
why isn't why is there seem to be a disconnect,
And then you get into this particular gang what you're
talking about. They shut the heck down of Sa Kwan
the Chiefs. Good job there, But because the defense of
the Eagles de mallis the Chiefs, we didn't get to
see the scenario I was talking about. My question was
through the ball, but it was easy when I'm turning
(06:22):
the ball over in the resild. Now you got the
ball at the twenty when we got absolutely so my
scenario was the MVP because he had three scores from
the two yard lost. So Jalen Hurts is absolutely one
of the better quarterbacks. That's what our question. I think
what work a question is is he in the four?
Is he Joe Burrow? Is he Patrick mahons, Lamar Jackson,
(06:43):
Josh Allen. And a scenario I was painting was, let's
say it was twenty four twenty Eagles have the ball,
they got to start throwing it. Can they make the plays?
And that was the question I had. It wasn't could
he run the offense and be successful. He's done nothing
but that his career for.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
The most part.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
But he still had to make throws because they weren't
running their their big hors got stopped.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Right, And so what I'm saying is he ran, He
threw the ball to the tune of what two hundred
and twenty yards, and he had a good game. But
like I don't that still doesn't make me walk away
wondering if it comes down to that is all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
In a game that will get where the defense was.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I don't know what else he could have done.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
I think he know he played the perfect game under
all conditions, and I think he is one of the
better quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Because the Super Bowl where he balled out, they lost, right, Yeah,
so they lost that game.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
But this game where he did was the perfect exactly
what they were supposed to do. And I thought that
Turno was scary for a moment there because I'm like, oh,
like if they they meeting the Chiefs were to get
that and go down the score, it could kind of
changed it. Under the game, Oh, they their offense was trash.
They had one first down in tyre first half twenty
three yards. The defense of the Eagles was incredible. The
question now becomes, has Jared Jalen Hurts jumped into the
(08:01):
top three four guys? Has he taken out jo.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I don't think he's taking out anybody, like as far
as talent, because it's not just if you win.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
So then then to me, he did exactly. He did
what we kind of thought.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
No, but I think that there were a lot of
people who were believing that he wasn't. I mean, I
told you to Michael Parsons. It was disrespectful, Like all
you got to do is stop say kwa, well, well
all year right. If that was the formula and it
was that elementary, you don't think any other defensive coordinators
would have been able to do it.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I think that sounds good, but it ain't.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
That's the difference to me, And this is why there's
a gap still between he and Jay and Lamar Jackson.
But credit him because he's the one in the ring.
He can look at the mar and say I got
the ring. But the difference is better. But this is this,
it's I agree. This is why why I'm explaining this
For me.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Dan Marino have a Super Bowl ring and no one's
gonna sit there and go he don't belong in was
on the top grade the quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Ever, the reason I say this though, the difference is
Derrick Henry had almost the same output as Saquon right
to two hundred yards give or take two hundred three
hundred yards short. Yet Lamar's numbers went through the roof
in comparison to last year. So Saquan being in addition
into the to Jalen Hurts, it was he had good stats,
(09:24):
but he didn't have like crazy ridiculous stats. And that's
the difference to me of Likeel Lamar where you can
add him if he were to have Saquon, And that
doesn't diminish from me or I mean I have to
play a lesser role. I can still be even more
incredibly because I have that person and that's just a differentiator.
And Patrick Mahomes as of now is still kind of
the leader of this camp. So obviously Jalen Hurts isn't
(09:44):
on that level, and then Josh Allen will be similar
to the Maar.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
I think Patrick Mahomes, that's only on rep and it
ain't on a bill on what he's on, how he's
played the last couple of years. The best players, Lamar,
I've said that. I just I can't look at Pallyholmes
the same. And we'll talk about that. That's an hour
number three. It's just because because it's been it's been
too long. It's a long sample side. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
The advantage.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I'm not being a prisoner of the moment just because
they lost yesterday.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
I've been saying this for two years now. That's what
We'll have this conversation next hour. But that's I'm not
gonna be mad at anybody says it. Who's the best
player all year, I've been saying that, you've been saying
to Lamar. So Lamar to me, has proved to be
the best player. He now needs that to translate in
the postseason. But just toways win a championship. But on
a basis, to me, the best player in the NFL
(10:32):
is Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
I mean, he's got plenty of years. I mean I
said it to Sean. I mean I said it to
uh Sean King, who will be coming up. I mean
John Elway didn't win to his last two years.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Yeah he went to but he at least went to
a bunch so and I'm I'm not saying but he's
still just won to to he was two and three,
so people were cool with that.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
I mean, but Denver's always had great defense and there's
a lot of stuff that goes in it. But all
I'm saying to you is once he won, nobody cared
out the other stuff, and the same thing will happen
with Lamar.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
And Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
To me again, two Super Bowl appearances, one win, played
great in the one he lost. He has really shouldn't
have doubters in that. He's a competent leader. He is
a good quarterback. He's a dual threat. If for him,
he wants to get to that next level, and it's
up to him where he you know where He's mentioned
in the top three, top four then keep doing what
(11:24):
he's doing. So I think he's proved the doubters wrong
that he can lead a team to the championship. He's
really like a a another NFC Rock Purty.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
But how many how many videos did did I see today?
I oh, Jalen Heards an apology, Dan Olovsky, all these
NFL who played quarterback in the league.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
What what? Why?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Why are you apologizing now? Seriously? Like the idea we
saw this two years ago with a different offensive coordinator, right,
and then they change and they decided to because he
had a down season last year. But it wasn't like
he never did it. Is what I'm trying to say
to you, is I get that, but he did have
a hell of a season, let a team to the
(12:03):
super Bowl, outplayed Patrick.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Mahomes in that season.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
And that's what That's what I don't understand, is like
because they got the hype of that, I mean, enjoy me, like, wow,
this man, we got another great stud in the league
and then you have a down season. So to me,
that half Jay st That's what I'm about to say.
So that's a compliment to him that that's what happens.
Jane Daniels messed around to have a season we're gonna
have right here, ja, and we're gonna be saying it.
(12:29):
Jaye Daniels one of the ones or no is he
was that an anomaly, So that just happens. So it's
a compliment to him that, you know, we were wanting
to hold him up here down season. Can he bounce
back some weird things this season with beefs and receivers
and all that he pushed through. He persevered, So credit
him for getting the job done. And now he's and
he said, I want to come back better than this.
(12:49):
He sat there in that confetti two years ago he said,
that's all that's been on my brain. He got the
job done. So congrats to him. And that's what you
gotta do when they're gonna criticize you from time to time.
When you like Patrick Mahomes, he deserves to be criticized
right now for how he's played this year hasn't been
the smoke the greatest, and then how he played in
the Super Bowl. It'll be up to him to come
(13:09):
back and quiet the noise next year. The best part
about being the Lions. Playing for the Lions, you have
to worry about getting confetti in your hair, the light
of lions catching straight, ain't mind number day and can't
cool right now having my ties sitting at home catching straight.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
And I want you to say that Joe own the joke.
Next time say with the chest. Rob's all right. I
was too busy trying to figure out some other stuff
I know.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Eight seven seven off, Thanks Craig Melvin eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Has Patrick Stang laughed at Joe joke?
Speaker 5 (13:41):
Man?
Speaker 6 (13:42):
Man?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Did he laugh? Alex? I had? I had a killer.
I had a kill?
Speaker 4 (13:47):
So not the best part is I get to say
you didn't because nobody I did like laugh at Joe joke?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Rob Rob g Man did nobody Robs? Nobody laughed at
that joke?
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Oh No, How sick was Kelvin when Patrick and he
just like doubled over.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
It was so far he didn't see see you add
an extra sauce, way too much dip on that chip
he was.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
We're interviewing him on behalf of Applebee's and we were
talking about the boneless wings.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
I said, Patrick, just one thing, one question. I need
to know how did the chicken walk? And he just.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
You could have left it where you could have left
it where we didn't know the joking. We thought it
was one of your hot tier, like you said, the
splendid one.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
That was a good one.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
That was another one, Alex somebody, I said, man out there,
we said, oh, lady, he was your sugar daddy or something.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
I said, oh, y'all must have met Rod Parker. And
they all turned to him, and he's looking at it,
and you said. I said, I could be a splendid daddy.
That was a good It was a little better in
real time. Sugar was better in real time, but it
was all right. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Said the weight and potatoes ain't just a blip. What
what's the flavor? What's the doude which is like one
of the barbecue is it? What's the vibe?
Speaker 6 (16:13):
It's like it's haste. Basically like if you went to
a New Orleans seafood play.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Like occasion that they put on a bit my god.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
And the thing though, as soon as I got on
the plane and they closed the door to bags like
blew up.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah they always do that.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
Okay, they great.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Yeah, the first thing I was like, I was hoping
that they didn't pop.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
That happens every time I fly in the back chips
that that pressure, the air pressure makes them get just
to when they're gonna bust, but they don't.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
But they never lost.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
Yeah, all right, oh Rob.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
I got to say.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (16:39):
Now we're talking about the weight loss challenge that we're
doing over the next two months. Yeah, I have another
challenge I want to do only because I started inputting
my receipts early and.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, we're gonna talk
about Taylor Hurt.
Speaker 7 (16:52):
Okay, okay, we're doing the weight loss challenge. Here's another
challenge because I did my receipts earlier today already, who's
going to have the most expenses from last week?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Come on, man, I didn't even know.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
You should have just narrated between you and I that
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
That's a tough one. Why you think it's me?
Speaker 7 (17:08):
Do we think we were with you all week and
we're factoring in that that the big meal that we
all get the same amount for.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
It, right, we've been that was the big meal.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
That was man, listen, shot out to the people who
told us the real deal. That's right, Like you.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Need to go on the other side at first, going
to be Ryan it was. It was supposed to be
like three hundred dollars per person, per person without tip,
without alcohol, without anything, straight.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Up three hundred.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
I was gonna dine and dash. But you know what
they're gonna get you out of it, about to keep
all typeseos and the.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Other thing, and the other thing is we got right
Rob grind Porks came in.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
No, they're good, They're really good.
Speaker 1 (17:48):

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Right, did you have a ticket this weekend to be
at in New Orleans? I've heard it get you back.
Speaker 8 (18:17):
I wish I wish I would have I would have
would have enjoyed Blake Griffin not getting that third ring
and not getting any closer, not getting any closer to
my goat, and taking him out of that conversation with
the greatest of all time.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
You're talking about Joe Montana, who you're talking about?
Speaker 8 (18:34):
Who? Oh you mean mister five rings to less than
the Goat?
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Oh yes, four? Yes?
Speaker 8 (18:41):
Oh yeah, oh that's even less. He's less of a man.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Yeah, yeah, but he didn't lose to Eli twice. Oh
but he has, but all this stuff, you know.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
And he lost to a backup quarterback in Nick Foles.
How could you be the goat? You lost to a
backup quarterback? Right, and Nick Foles and you lost to Eli.
Speaker 8 (19:00):
Wise, all right, anytime, anytime you go to ten Super Bowl, No, it.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Ain't about going. It ain't about going. It ain't about going,
It's about winning. As Marv Levy he went four times
with us.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
I don't know because he rolled around the great the
way you keep talking about him, I don't know, is
Marv Steve?
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Is Marv Levy still with us? Yeah? You know what's bad?
Speaker 4 (19:21):
When we got a Google were like, all right, let
me see, is he's still with us? This is the
breaking news right now. Wait a minute, what's training with Steve?
Speaker 2 (19:27):
The saga? Is he with us?
Speaker 6 (19:28):
He's listed his night at ninety nine?
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Believe are you get ninety nine? You don't have a joke. No,
he's not a pork chop away. I think he's a
half of port chopping.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
I knew it. What do you have for breakfast this morning?
Speaker 5 (19:42):
Rob?
Speaker 1 (19:43):
He had DCAF coffee, sodium free bacon, and a chest
x right.

Dream Act would take me Home. Country Roads was the
one that I remember from all the commercials that we
saw during Super Bowl Sunday. And if you asked me why,
I'll tell you is because Rocket is reminding all of
us that we all deserve a shot at the American
dream of owning a home. It means so much to
so many of us here in this country, and that's
(20:21):
kind of a big deal. Well, Rob Woodson joining us
now Hall of fam dB Fox Sports Radio, NFL analysts
and Rob. We were looking for you down there in
New Orleans. Man, did you enjoy yourself? I saw him?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I did. I didn't see him. I was able to
run into Rod. He looks great. How are you doing, Buddy?
Speaker 5 (20:38):
I am doing good. Brothers I warrior.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Oh well, Man, did you eat good down there?
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Oh? I ain't great down there? Man had me some gumbo. Yeah.
I'm mad that I didn't get the bread pudding that
I wanted. That's the only thing.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
You just didn't get the right place. What was it?
What was it?
Speaker 5 (20:56):
No? I was I was running around all over the
place and I didn't get I wanted to go to
this one old, older restaurant and get the bread pudding
that's like legit in a classic. And I didn't didn't
get to get over there.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
Didn't get there. I got you. Now you got a
reason to go back.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well, too bad that the uh the super Bowl was
wasted on this fraudulent Chiefs team up on the AFC.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I mean, Rod, I've been.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Saying it all year that they weren't going to win
the Super Bowl. I never I just didn't like the
Chiefs this year. I know they got a lot of
lucky winnings. They want kept winning, kept winning. What did
you make of that? And how surprised were you because
clearly the Eagles had a better team.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
Yeah, I was, I was. I was not surprised that
the Eagles won because I didn't think the Eagles to win.
I was surprised that they dominated them the way they did.
And but when you go back, hay I said it,
you know on radio row, is that when you look
back at how big Fangio is to set up to
the defense and when Patrick Mahomes struggles, he plays against
(22:01):
this type of defense, a team that rushes for drops
seven in coverage. They played tight covers from the back
and they flow to the ball extremely well. They get
fresher on the quarterbacks with their front four and that
causes him issues. And they have struggled in his career
losing games teams like that. And obviously they just could
not block the guys up front. They were just causing
(22:23):
havoc and they just couldn't find their rhythm.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
It was amazing. What no blitzes.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
They said, no blitzer, But that's what couple blitzer because
the linebacker came one time hit Patrick. I think it
was like in a many third or fourth quarter hitting
right after he threw it. So they had a couple
of blitzes. They say there was none, but there was
a couple, maybe just the one off the top of
my head for sure. But you know that's not what
they do. Vick has done a great job this year
(22:55):
knowing that he didn't need to blitz with the guys
that he has up front. And this team is going
to be set for quite a while because there's a
young team. They got to They got the off the
line uh under contract, you got a young quarterback, you
got some good receivers, you got you got Barkley under contract.
(23:16):
This is a really good team that maybe it can
repeat if they put it all together again.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Let me ask you this. The Chiefs had a guard
playing left tackle. Some people were saying, Rod, that's a
mistake because now you weaken two positions by moving somebody
out of position.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Do you believe in that too?
Speaker 5 (23:35):
Yeah? I think, I think sometimes. I know they tried
other people out there, and I guess Andy just a
month the weight it looked. And but when you do
move the guard to tackle, which he doesn't play tackle,
now you've got to bring another guard in. You know,
you're you're basically playing with two guys now, Listen, seems
(23:58):
a he's a he did a solid job all year long.
He just couldn't play against these dudes, right, So you
know you got to take your hat off to him.
I don't. I don't. I wouldn't blame the coaches. I
just wouldn't say anything bad about the cause I think
Andy Reid has done a tremendous job with the football team.
Sometimes you do got to make changes. Sometimes you got
(24:20):
to move pieces around. And when guys, uh, you know,
when you say, okay, listen, we've tried X Y Z
at the tackle spot, he hasn't been the guy. Let's
move our guard over there. He's probably better. He's been there,
he's been through the wars, he's been through the rigor.
He knows how, you know, he knows how to battle. Uh,
they just couldn't block the guys with the Philly had
(24:41):
I mean, Philly just got after him.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Yeah, Rod, what wasn't our guess? Hopefully we can hear
you've kind of breaking up just a little bit there.
Rod Hall of.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Fame, dB Fox Sports Radio NFL analyst with Robin Kelvin
on the odd couple.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Uh, all right, let's play this.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
If you're the thiefs, you got beat down, you got manhandled,
straight up bullied, but you lose. How do you bounce back?
Give you the chiefs? Are they what do you see
that they need for me?
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Rod?
Speaker 4 (25:10):
At some point, obviously the offensive line has to improved.
I mean they got straight up dominated. But also I
think it's fair, and Rob and I have talked about this.
It's fair for at some point, even as good as
Patrick Mahomes and great most of his career, can I
get some help?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Can I get some offensive guys? They kind of been
cheap and figuring it out a penny pension. Is it
time for them to get some more explosive options.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
Yeah, But when they're when they're paying your court quarterback
and you know you got you got your d lineman,
he's making some money off you got a couple off
of the players, of making them off of the lineman
and making some money, it's hard. It's hard to move
all that money around. You get you have sixty three
guys on the rockster that goes under the south the
(25:52):
salary cap, and you got to pick and choose what
you want. It's hard to get a lot of great
guys that play at a very high level under the cap,
especially when you pay the quarterbacks the way they pay
the quarterbacks nowadays. Right, So to me, I don't know
if they got to do a whole bunch. Do they
need a couple They need a couple of players, but
(26:14):
they need game changers on the defensive side. Like I
think the defense is solid, but I think they need
a couple of game changes. Listen, listen, they went after
the young corner for Kansasity Watson. They went after him,
So you know, do you try to upgrade that if
they feel that that's, you know, somebody that they're going
(26:37):
to keep targeting in the near future. Maybe so, But listen,
they've done it. Going to going to three Super Bowls
in a row is not a bad thing. So yeah,
I like what they've done. Uh yeah, they didn't win
this one, but you know he still got.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Fifteen Well well let me ask you about that, because
fifteen Rod the last two years, and I know, winning
covers up everything and you know, like makeup and if
you win, you kind of don't look closely at everything
that went on.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
But he has n't been the same quarterback I.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Mean he was fifteen and two this year, didn't get
one MVP vote, not one.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
I mean that says something about his play. Is that fair?
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Well? His play? So remember this, you know what not
having the splash plays and I mean I know they
got worthy, he had a couple of splash plays, but
not having that kind of a dynamic duel when you
had Tyreek hill and Travis Kelce along with the decent
(27:44):
running game and fifteen, right, you don't have you don't
you don't have? I mean worthy isn't. Maybe next year
he will be a little bit better and he'll have
more splash plays and that he can take the top
being off of the defense like Tyrek Hillier stud and
they can come back and have another explosive offense. But
(28:04):
it's tough to keep doing it year after your year.
Eventually somebody they kind of find a blueprint for you.
You know, Should you be ashamed of that? Absolutely not.
Can they bounce back from it? I think they can.
The question is, I don't know about this. I don't
know what the cap situation is. I don't how much
money they have, how close they are to the cap.
(28:27):
And that's that's one another main thing you know, if
you another team that has a lot of veterans or
you know, consistent presence veteran presidents on their football team,
they're going to be close to the cap. So I
don't know how much money they have to spend in
free agency. Uh. And if they want to keep getting
young at the receiving core, do you try to reach
(28:49):
out and try to find one of those guys that
you believe in that can make a difference in you?
Speaker 1 (28:53):
No?
Speaker 2 (28:53):
I just I want you to come clean.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I heard somebody screaming with joy in the media workroom
when they said that Eli didn't make the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
And you mean it wasn't that you?
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Was that you?
Speaker 2 (29:09):
How much?
Speaker 1 (29:09):
How much money did you pay those voters not to
vote for Eli?
Speaker 5 (29:13):
I think I think the world said, okay, just come on, man,
we just I got much respect pretty Eli? Right. I
think it's so. I think it's okay to be a
good player. He's a he was a solid player. He
wasn't a great player. Is he a Hall of Famer?
I don't believe so. I think I think eventually he
will get in because his last name is Man and me,
(29:36):
you know the yard two four. So, but my question
to every voter who was listening. Are you a Hall
of Famer because you played at a high level throughout
your career? Are your Hall of Famer because you played
for a long time?
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Well, I do understand that, but you can't.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Like if it's the Super Bowl you're talking about, I
would take Eli over Patrick Mahomes any day for a
big game.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
I would rot.
Speaker 5 (30:07):
You need to go see the doctor, Rod.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
This is what I do, hey, every day, four to seven,
West Coast the other way, Rob, We appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Man, appreciate you. You know that man, don't be doing
that to him again. He's driving.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
You're gonna be saying it's crazy stuff like that while
he's driving. Don't do that to that man. All Right,
we got Travis Kelsey. It might be that time we'll
talk about a Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
I've said this to you and Elijah. Why's Rob got
a big seven to eleven big gulp every day? I mean.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
That's actually pretty funny. Recognize it that I gotta what
is this dirty water situation? You gotta go what is
this iced tea? This is iced tea with no sugar.
This wears a light or something.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Yeap, or you will not n ot see any big
gulps for the next two months. Okay, I need to
lose twenty four pounds to get to two hundred.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Yep, twenty four pound. We got that, Rob. Did you
ever sells what you're trying to lose?
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Though?
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:36):
Rob?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
G how much are you trying to lose? All of it?
Mean all of it? Rob saying that this dude, you
know what I've learned? Where's where's all sounder?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Do we have.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
The odd couple weight out?
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Two ten for me and trying to get down to So.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
You're trying to lose fifteen pounds.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
By the way, if I lose too much more, y'all
gonna have mean single because my wife does not want
me to get all things. She is not about that life.
She don't want you to pounds. That's that would be it.
She would be like, all right, play. Her whole point
was I shouldn't be able to throw you around. She
don't want me to be able to be all lightweight.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Maybe she don't want you to be attractive to other women.
You know if you want me, I mean just saying
some mean them already. You see your boy, you see this,
I'm just seeing it. In the words of Martin, this
face is for the tizzube.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Martin.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
So you're to sixteen trying to get to I'd like
to get down.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
I want to I want to wear Steve Di Sager's
clothes to the end of this. That's what I.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Want, except you want to just in your perfect world.
O zempi by the way, you can't ozempic us. By
the way, he was going to start ozempicking us. Okay,

send me emails everything generic go zipic every single day.
Speaker 7 (32:58):
Yeah, it's like everybody in the streets me fat except
the doctor. He's like, no, you're fine.
Speaker 2 (33:02):

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Nobody called you fat, Robbie, And I'm not gonna lie.
Rob Parker robb G annoyed me all week and I
finally had to call him. I remember, I said, like,
you complain about yourself.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
Mon any now. I know like when I had.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
A bad little phase, my wife would get annoyed, like
I'm like, got shut up, You're fine. That's how I
feel about rob Gi. I know what I want to
V Mark. I wanted to v I. I want to
do this under fat with an er. You're not at
all like you missing people people here listening who have
maybe never watched the Pot or seen him, they're gonna
be blown away when they see you like that.
Speaker 7 (33:32):
You know, that's like me, Luka Jokic, That's why they
that's how they associate us.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
Yet and just like I was telling them lies, when
you actually meet Yokige and Luke and these guys in person,
you're like, oh, they're way slimmer than I thought.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
And you fall right in line with that. People. Oh
my god, rob Gi, you're fine. I thought you were.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I know, people think I'm crazy trying to lose twenty
four pounds off the rip. But I know what my body.

tonight when I go home, watch TV. A couple of pistachios.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
How come alex is in in this? Alexea, what do
you want to do? He would look two clouds of muscle.
What do you lose if you need to lose nothing? Yeah,
first of all, settle down. You said that now might
didn't know that where we all decided to do this
when we came back now, because you know him is
going to be a caveat.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
That's got to be racist. You're coming to the caveat.
That's true. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Robill was you're not doing it, but you're not really
doing it. Before the physics of the mindsets and understanding.
Speaker 6 (34:32):
You said, worry about calories and carbohydrates, look about mineral Basically.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
You can't ask him questions like that, or at least
you got to answer him, just answer.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Don't worry about the scale. What about your self worth? Okay?
How do you feel about yourself? Then?
Speaker 6 (34:44):
Then and then reality, tell yourself before you stepped on
the scale.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, Elijah, you in on this. You're over there, quiet, Elijah,
not doing it? You ain't doing it? You want to join?
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Never heard of him?
Speaker 2 (34:54):
You've been doing it?
Speaker 5 (34:55):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (34:55):
He said he'd been working on it all right. We
met his wife. She said, I hope he do is it?
Speaker 5 (35:00):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
Wow? She said? She said, when y'all starting, well, did
you hear what he said? Did you hear what Robbie said?
He heard it? He gave you a little I'm laughing,
but I really laugh and laugh.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
He countdown for super Bowl week? She's like, please go go.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yeah. They had a good time. We met her. She
was really sweet.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Yeah, she was great, sweetheart and except you ignore her
rob you know I did five times.
Speaker 6 (35:25):
She was trying to say hello and screenshot k.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
What Eliza? If you check his phone there might be
a screenshot of her in there.
Speaker 6 (35:35):
I'm telling you. When I pulled up with my girl
that one time and saw she got a screenehot Comedy,
he looked at me, Kate on he did this?
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (35:41):
Oh yeah, you was so pumped.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Did he didn't do this? She yeah, he got a.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Screen shot for She was so fumped for me.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Let me see your phone right now, Rob, let me
scroll through the pictures. That was like Ryan. When I
first met I saw Ryan.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Yeah, he'll take this coverage to Ryan's got a look right,
He's about to marry.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
That's why he was stuttering. When you say you want
to go out right now, I don't let me. Maybe.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
When she starts stuttering, that's when it gets real. We're
gonna do some go yes.
