Speaker 4 (01:39):
I'm just asking, I've never heard of such a show. Right, Okay,
I'm just Alex. You don't understand what I'm saying. Right,
Maybe let's keep our jobs. We tried to have the
most difficult six years of your life. What rob Gy
coming up?

Speaker 5 (01:51):
You thought it was gonna because you got two kids
trying to make Nope, it's gonna be your third kid.

Rob Parker Man, I'm just asking a question. Yeah, one's
gotta gos coming up. Yeah, I didn't even know what
are we doing today? I got special?

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Tell yeah, it is a little special, and it's it's
gonna make you mad because of what we're trying to
do right now in our lives a little food related.
But maybe we can live through having fun with the
conversation on food even though we're not really.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Kelvin the rest of the way here, I mean, you
got to restart the clock. You're behind now A couple
of days. And the worst part is, not only did
you nibble on those cookies, you took a box home,
didn't you? Well for the wife though, But they're around
the house. I'll be okay with that. That's because, yeah,
they had to play it up for TV. You know,
I'll be okay with that. That'll that'll be easier than what.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Are you eating? Have you been eating? What are you?

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yes, yesterday Proude did the triple just meat and cheese
and onion.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
So you did. And it's unbelievable how much bread fills
you up.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
And the different you know, sugars and bread that you
never think because it's not a naturally sweet thing, so like,
what just that sugar in it?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Then you start looking at the you know, the ingredients.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
You're like, oh my goodness, today, I think I'm gonna
do just a little Greek salad or Mediterranean salad or
something little chicken, a little spinach or some some ilives,
some feta, red onion, pickled onion. Uh, maybe a little
dash of corn and cucumbers.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Then that's out of dash. I saw your face, You
saw me get into it.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
I don't spend too much time in New Orleans baby.
Put a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
I'm like, give me some more, she said, I said,
I don't have anymore. Yeah, well you had her money
for it, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
How much you like I have anymore? Now you better
find some more. What do you eat tonight? Baked chicken?

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Baked chicken, but the no uh no sugar Okay, barbecue
sauce on top.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Oh yeah, that's it. It's really good.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
That's what says those of the honest to goodness that
help you in life.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Yeah, so that you don't get like tired of eating
just playing baked chicken.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
It has it has zero car even by the way,
my little you know, always get a little coffee some
sugar free? Is that sugar free?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yeah? What do they put in it? It's a flavor.
It's like a flip.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
So this case it was a Moco flavored but you know,
no free Yeah, vanilla's vanilla flavor, sugar free vanilla whatever,
you know, whatever you're you're like.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
All right, let's turn to the NFL. We already know
Aaron Rodgers is going to be on the move. There's
already been some speculation about where he could wind up.
You know, there's some teams out there. The teams, as
we talk about all the time, you need a quarterback
football that that's half to say half the league needs
a quarterback.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
As much as we can talk, you can say Aaron
Rodgers wasn't this that you can say.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I don't believe it, Sam Donald and Brock whatever.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
There's there are not thirty two quality starting quarterbacks in
the nf No.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
And that's the issue.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
There's about twelve or fifteen of them, and there's thirty two.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
And then there's about five or six they're like, I guess.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
And then the rest, Hey man, we need a guy
and another guy.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I canna mention you was a starter, Like think about
think about that. He was just Cony every other year
as a starter, you know what I mean. Jameis Winston
was a starter for some some games. So like there's
ten guys that you'll go Bryce Young, the Jerry still got.
I think his future once he gets away from Panthers
could be better than it is. But my point is
there's always gonna be room. So as much as you
can say about Aaron Rodgers, there's someone that might go, well,

(05:16):
if we can just get eighty percent of what he
used to be you know, the best version of Aaron Rodgers,
whatever that is right now, Man, we could do this.
Maybe he's from the Bay Area forty nine ers, we know, man,
what would he look like there?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
As backup? But then what if Brock goes out at something?

Speaker 5 (05:29):
You can say, but Pittsburgh Steelers right now, rob are
the betting favorites with Vegas, Uh to land Aaron Rodgers
as they are gonna be looking like moving away from
Russell Wilson. So then maybe they feel again taking a
shot at the you know, they're not gonna right now,
the betting landing spot, potential landing spot for Aaron Rodgers

(05:50):
is in fact the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
But that's weird because they have two quarterbacks and and.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Uh, but I think the census is Russell Will They're
gonna move on from Russell Wilson. And I think that's
why all of a sudden, Aaron Rodgers, because it's almost
the same thing. Who's a guy that's won a Super
Bowl that we're just a guy away, go get Aaron Rodgers.
And maybe they would do the opposite or at least
how or like how it started with get Aaron Rodgers
in case justin Fields doesn't work now, you're just at

(06:18):
this point. I mean like every time I go they
bringing in a quarterback that won a Super But that
leads me to the conversation we're having right now. So
they have one of the one of the Steelers Steelers safeties.
He is actually as Deshaun Elliott. He commented, and he
said he was talking about this. Someone ask him on
and he shared the news on Instagram. He said, leave
his at the retirement home. Dang, but he didn't say no,

(06:45):
I'm straight.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
You know we'll pass.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
No.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I really like justin fields or no trusting our organization.
They do us right, justin Fields. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
But remember after halfter the locker room was torn and
half one in Russell, half one justin Field. No, that
was the report Worts was that there was a torn
locker room because guys were like that with four and
two with Justin other guys.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
When they won the five in the row, did they
move over to Russell. No, that was when they lost
the six in a row. They didn't lose six.

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Yeah, you know what market down is, are all going battle.
We're gonna be seventy two years old. Russell Wilson retired.
I wonder do you want it because I told you
think it's somewhere wrong. No, I think it's some regret.
But I told you all along that when Russell Wilson
was help, I did, Rob, you did, that's what you know?

Speaker 6 (07:25):
You know me?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
You were right?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
But Rob G, will I be right? If Russell's kicked
out and Justin Fields is starting this, yes.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Then you will be right? All right? Dangelo will have shifted?
Was what did I say? All year? Then they lost
six At.

Speaker 7 (07:38):
Some point there's gotta be a limit to be like, yeah,
I was right about this.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I was right about that.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
But then when you're wrong, like Dub said, we will
never get to the point where we can't.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
We can't get to the gonna spind out someone else
was wrong. I will make you I was wrong. I
was run here saying I'm vjays. That was just saying
what Mike was.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
All right, right, you got it's a little button that
says team talk, man, you.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Gotta hit that. See they didn't hear what I just said.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Right there, Rob, I'm just playing. You know it ain't
me so yeah, but that's the question. I'm hold that up, Rob,
rob G. When Justin Field starts coming this season, I'll
be right again, right because they kicked rust a lot
of town. But no, but Rob, It's so interesting the
irony of Aaron Rodgers to me becoming the ending, not

(08:26):
the beginning of his career, in middle of his career,
but the ending going out like Brett Farve is so
odd because they're so different, we thought initially even their
style of play. One is more calculated, averts risk, you know,
more accurate than the other guy.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I am letting this thing fly more of a bit,
you know, the drink.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
But Wiser's with the guy kind of a guy, and
Brett Fahr and Rogers a little bit more reserved to
an extent, a little more calculated. Even who he deals
with seemed like different types of guys. But the ending
is starting to turn into the same guy literally to
the fact of playing on the same team with the
Jets always kind of we're tearing from a talking about
it during the media. The difference is, I will.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Say, this is Brett Favre as somebody who was covering
the league, you know, like extensively at that time. They
just got tired because he always was wishy washy, whether
or not he wanted.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
That's Aaron Rodgers is becoming that now. But he'm go
to my dark place. I don't know he's gonna play.
I mean, like I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
It was always the packers, warn pins and needles until
the very last, until like the eve of training camp.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh, I'm not sure if I'm a player or not.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
And then that's when they finally pulled the plug and said,
you know what, we got Aaron Rodgers. We're gonna go
with him, and that's gonna be the end of it.
We don't care if you have to make a decision.
We're making a decision because they were hell.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Playing right now. No, but you get what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
We don't like he's thinking as like I'm playing, I
want back in who wants your boy?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I'm ready, I'm in shape, but I still don't know. Yeah,
but I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
And even at the end of the seasons, Rob, He's like,
you know, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'm
just literally while they're still playing in weeks but i'd.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Be graad or know.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
I feel I just got to go away and I
got to see and I just still't know. And it
was three years running with Brett far it's been three years.
Had how's it been three years he's been on the
Jets too yet, Yeah, we didn't know if he was
coming back at the injury. Then he's like, I'm coming back.
Then were this year during the.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Season about this season? Came back during the season. He
not the play you remember, he came back. He was
working out throwing football. So every offseason he literally goes
and I just I.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Mean, I don't remember that year he said he was
coming back, and I don't know, like literally right now,
I don't know if he's coming back.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
And its just and even more so than the am
I coming back?

Speaker 5 (10:38):
And it's just the in our eyes and it's not
about football, becomes about so much, so many other things,
and that just wears on people.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I think it's a combination because he's he's one of
these guys where people it's it's an easy topic because
he's what he says stuff that's a little off beat,
So people just no matter what he says, it doesn't matter.
He's turned into that where no matter what he says,
it's always something you know, like they're bringing up they're
not talking about whether or not he could cut down

(11:09):
on his inner show. The conversation is, don't go on
Pat McAfee. That's not football related, that's not something right
troll like that. You can because great question.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Tom Brady, for as much as it was boring, never
really went on the show saying this. He was just
kind of straight down the middle because he was about football,
about this team was trying to win. And I'm not
mad at Aaron Rodgers doing this because this is his right.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Well, what comes with it is to criticians, Lebron.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
Lebron doesn't hy away for any topic, politics, music. That's
why he's in a beating drake because he's at show.
That's why he has people who mad because he talks
about Black Lives matter. That's why he's mad. Because he
jumps in on every topic. And that's his right, and
I don't mind it. You can have the right, But
what comes with that is people are gonna jump in
and criticize you. So Aaron Rodgers doesn't have to do

(11:57):
Pat McAfee every week, he doesn't have opinions about vaccine,
cat rever the same things, very vocal sharing his opinions.
That's what happens when you have you're open about things.
I think that if you win, you can do whatever
you want.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
It's really because the team didn't perform well and he
didn't perform.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Well, so it's an easy target.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
There would be none of this if the Jets went
to the playoffs and they won eleven to twelve game.
Would you admit that Pat mcaffee would not be a
topic of conversation.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
It wouldn't be. That wouldn't be the reason that Jets
are saying, well, we're gonna come back next year. No,
Patman is because you lose. When you lose, everything is
up for debate and up for question. We talk about
all the time. He didn't come to training camp, so
they didn't win, right, So you could use that had
he come to training camp, had he not done Pat McAfee,
and had they won ten or eleven game, that's not

(12:48):
on the table. They've soured on him because he doesn't win,
And so you can look at all the other quirky
off the court field, off the field stuff and use
that as.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
The reason with that. But he's a starting quarterback who
is a Hall of famer.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
That is going to be an inevitability if he, for instance,
Kirk your Cousin, not mine. We haven't talked about it
because you win. The last time you've seen Kirk Cousins.
You ain't saying I don't know if he's at home,
I don't know if he's working out. I don't know
what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
But he doesn't say anything.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
But your dad's my point, Aaron Rodgers volunteers. Kirk Cousins
never won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Kirk Cousin wasn't All Pro quarterback, he hasn't won him
win four m vps.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
He's on a different You can't putt again.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Watch this.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Patrick Mahomes again has one three? What's the off season comes?
You really don't hear from Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, but I'm
just talking saying Cousins, and but what I'm saying Patrick
Mahomes has more Super Bowls then than Aaron Rodgers. But
that's not what I'm saying. You would equating him to
Kirk Cousins. I'm only using an example of you don't
have to say anything. We talk about this all the time.
Michael Parson wants to hear from Kirk Cousins. What does

(13:50):
he want?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I moved on to Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
My point is, Aaron Rodgers continues to put himself in
these situations, Eddie doing documentaries while he's still playing, and
again that is right, That's just right.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
But what comes with it is more criticism, all right?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine to six sixty three sixty nine. Are you
surprised that so many NFL folks have soured on Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
We'll do that next.

Speaker 4 (14:16):

One's gotta go at about twenty twenty two minutes or so.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Unfortunately, it's gonna be a food edition even though we're
in like our fasting, gets shape, get in shape, blode
right now.

Speaker 2 (15:18):

without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Man.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
And people, by the way, people are excited about it too,
like they're like, oh, man, I'm hearing this. What y'all doing?

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Rooting for you?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Or they want to join in too, And by the way,
you can join it.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
We should have it where people check in periodical social
let us know how you're doing. His way get off
the car, Yeah, Sean and Sacramento. He said he's trying
to lose what like fifty or something crazy, He's trying
to lose that much.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Somebody in my uh on I on my IG was like,
WILLI you're gonna lose You're gonna get down on one
seventy five like.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
Us said, it's just because as we know, everybody's built differently,
like if I but I'm tall are which Yeah. My
wife is actually shocked she said that cause she was
all rock tall thing. And I was like, yeah, it's
just when he when he them six months when he
let it go, you know, I let it go. Yeah,
And I know where I could get to. And I
just want to be in better shape. I don't want
to be skinny. I'm not trying to be a old

(16:07):
skinny man, right right, That's not what I want to be.
I just want to be I knew I could be
in better shape. Yeah, and I can trim down a
little bit and healthy on outside too, Yeah, by.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Eating the right stuff. And I'm gonna get a train
to get back to my trainer. Yep. Looking forward to
that for all of us, all right.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, Aaron Rodgers, you
got uh obviously gonna be on the move.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Where could he end up landing up?

Speaker 5 (16:27):
You got someone with the safety with the Pittsburgh Steel
is saying he said leave his blank at home and
retirement home. Thought that was like dang shot fired to
the Hall of the Hall of Famer. Eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox, Who we gots.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Dre Andre in Massachusetts. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drake, Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 8 (16:45):
Thanks taking a call.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
Listen.

Speaker 8 (16:46):
In terms of Aaron Rodgers, I'm not chef shocked that
people are walking away from him because for so long
he's been a contrarian without a cause, or if he
did have a cause, it was self centered and self
serving about him. And so now that he's kind of
falling on tough times, I eat, you know, the Jets
that haven't been winning games so on and fourth, you know,
people are kind of looking at him and saying, first

(17:06):
of all, you know, you're not a spring chicken anymore,
and you had the running Green Bay. Sure, but his
time with the Jets the first year ended, you know,
quickly after four plays. But last year specifically, what is
that you're pushing Robert solid when he's trying to dap
you up after a good place?

Speaker 6 (17:21):
What is this all the subliminate?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Maybe he had bad breath.

Speaker 8 (17:23):
I don't I'm just I don't know, you know, you know,
but he's he's a choir chase and he's getting up
there in the years and he's not necessarily contributing to winning.
So I think this is a you know, teams are
going to be looking at him skeptically.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
You know, I'm gonna say this, Dredd. I want you
to I want you to chime in on this. When
Black Lives Matter and all that stuff happened, and you
remember with Colin Kaepernick, I had a lot of respect
for Aaron Rodgers. No white quarterbacks were talking about it,
and he just said it had nothing to do with
the kneel. And do you remember that that was never
about the kneeling. And I thought at that point, that's

(17:57):
where you know what I mean, like he was for
him to even speak on that where he didn't have
to the black quarterbacks and there was question on when
they were going to stand up and say something. But
I remember that moment and I thought, Okay, this guy
like is conscious that he didn't make a big stink.
All he said was this wasn't about the kneeling, you know,
like it never was. And that's why I said, Rob,

(18:17):
I wasn't mad. I'm not at that moment, right, that
was that was different. He has the right to speak
his mind. I right, he act like it didn't happen
one of his own players, and Tom Brady was like, oh,
I don't know anything about it.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Yeah, that's a whole other Yeah, ice cream Abdul Jabbar
that once had him on the show, my new show,
Spectrum News one out here in LA and I said,
what is it about when there's like these massive issues
that are not just black issue, but like human rights,
civil rights, that it always isn't coming It always.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Lands on the black athlete.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
And I asked him that and he had a you know,
a group of sponsors said you know, he said, he's
basically not sure, but it always it's a burden that
they have to carry.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
And I get it, and I do think.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
You're good because because it affects our people, like seriously,
like dude, a lot of people can act like if
it's not affecting your your world and your surroundings and
the people that you entertain and whatever. You know, most
people can live a life and they're not really mixing
with other people if they don't want to.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Now, certain cities you can't live like that. You can't
live in New York.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Can't because there's too many people and from everywhere and
you got to get on the subway and you you.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
But in other places you can be in your own
world and don't affect me, and I don't care about it,
and I don't want to say, but it was an
interesting conversation of why whenever there's these types of things,
especially you know, like we say black Lives Matter or
George Floyd or this, that and the other, it is like, uh,
Colin Kaepernick, what he was standing for and not all
so I don't want to make this at all, but
he was that you don't necessarily hear this star, the

(19:53):
Peyton mannings, the Tom Brady's, uh, the star players speak up.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
And it was an interesting converce station when we had that.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
All Right, David Helbing on the Way, host of the
NFL on Fox podcast, have some more football conversation with
him in just a little bit.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
I wonder I'm gonna ask him. Should Andy read step down?

Speaker 8 (20:11):
Now?

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Let's see what he did? You look now word, The
views are now on Twitter. The views are all through
the roof.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
The last time we looked what are they now was
over one hundred thousand earlier. You are definite. You are
the view count.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Just don't read the comments. They lighten you up in
the comments. Just stick to the views. It's okay, you
know what. I want people to have an opinion of me.
That's what it's about. If you don't have an opinion
of me, then I'm not moving the needle.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
It's all right. You don't want to be that Do
you want to be that guy?

Speaker 5 (20:41):
It's called indifferent, okay, Right, I want you to be
indifferent about you. Don't want to No, No, I want
you to be have an opinion about you. Love you,
hate you, But talk about it. That's right, something, say something.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Say something. You know I was about to say something
right now.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
You know how many people we gotta screen out because
Rob G just doesn't want him to be heaping praise
on me.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Rob Yeah, Rob G just queans those guys out. He
does it all the time.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
He robbed Jesus gave me that fake lab like go
through this class and fight you. Rob Parker, he gave
me one of those Mark Weiss. What's turned to?

David Helman underscore on Twitter. Give the follow there, David.
What's up man? How you doing? What's up?

Speaker 6 (21:35):
Not a whole lot, y'all? Just catching my breath from
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
What's going on?

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
I want to know about that Super Bowl? Who would
you have before?

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Let me berate you that you picked the Chiefs and
said that, uh, don't bet against the Chiefs. Were you
one of those lambs that followed everybody off the off
the cliff.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
I don't think it's fair to calling that way when
Chiefs had done that two years in a row, But yeah,
I was.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I was one of them.

Speaker 6 (21:59):
I mean, in getting to that point and managing to
win against similar matchups, you know, Like I mean, it's crazy.
This was the third year in a row where the
Chiefs on paper didn't look like the better team, and
they'd managed to find ways to win the first two.
That held a lot of weight with me. But I'm
more than willing to say I was dead wrong because

(22:22):
I had the Chiefs winning by a point and man,
I think eight eight minutes into the game, and I'm
not talking about like eight minutes on the clock, I
mean eight minutes of real.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Time, right what it was.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
I was like, Oh, the Chiefs are in deep trouble.
You know, I'm not surprised the Eagles won at all,
but but I was surprised at how lopsided it was.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
For sure, it was a beat down. David, Oh yeah,
I just said they're not going to win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
They won a lot of games, close games, lucky games,
ball bouncing their way, teams, diskinned melting down, you know,
and crunch time and all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Scared of the chief I mean, waiting for five six years, But.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
David, you get my point. And then here's the thing.
Patrick Mahomes last year didn't make the Pro Bowl. Like,
they couldn't even put him in a Pro Bowl last
year to give voted in.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
This year, his team goes fifteen to two and no
first place votes for All Pro or.

Speaker 6 (23:20):
MVP.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
What does this say about Patrick Mahomes Seriously, the last
couple of years.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
I'm not saying he's a bum, but he's not the
guy who you know, put the NFL on fire to
start his career.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
I mean, you can't call him a bum because I
said that, no doubt but like, I hear your point,
and it's interesting because, right, I think the last two
years you would point at Lamar. Obviously this year you
would point at Lamar, you would point at Josh Allen,
and it's pretty undeniable. Even Joe Burrow on an individual level, right,

(23:53):
had more successful seasons. But like, even after what happened
on Sunday, and look, I get it. I mean, I
think that was probably the worst game of Patrick Mahomes'
entire I mean, his pro career, maybe his major football career.
But are I mean, are are you revamping your rankings
or are you moving somebody ahead of Patrick Mahomes? Because
I assure as hell am not that is it's a

(24:16):
hell of a body.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I don't think he's the best quarterback in the league.
And I'm talking about just you know, going like into
a season. Obviously, when you talk about lifetime achievement, of
course he's ahead of everybody. But I'm talking about ranking
quarterbacks going in. I saw a new ranking that had
him six, and I think that that's legit.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I called bluff. I call I did.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
I saw it.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Joe John Doe x X one one on Twitter does
not count, Rob, I saw it. I'm serious, it was right.
I'll look for it. You go find that, all right?

Speaker 6 (24:52):
I think yeah? I uh. For the record, for anybody listening,
I could not disagree more. I think Patrick Mahomes is
still orders of magnitude better than everybody you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
But you're talking about the totality of his career.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
I want you to shake that away and just talk
about going into twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Do you think he's the best quarterback in.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
The League's let's really look at what Patrick Mahomes has
done the last few years. Let's even take a look
at it. This year. The Chiefs go into the season
without a left tackle. They go into the season with
Hollywood Brown and Rashi Rice as their go to They.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Were fifteen and two. They won the games, but they
why didn't they win this one? If they could do
all less?

Speaker 5 (25:33):
But it would be different, David, I would buy you
if they were five and twelve. Because he doesn't have
a left tackle, and he doesn't have receivers, and he
doesn't have a running game.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
I would buy that.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
I'm not the first person to say this. I'm not
the first person to say this at all. But it
really feels like we're doing that Jordan Lebron thing, oh
where Patrick Mahomes dragged a very obviously less than offense
into the Super Bowl with obviously with the help of
a fantastic defense. You can't forget to mention Steve Spagnolo

(26:06):
and Chris Jones and Trent McDuffie and those guys. But again,
like that, that was the crazy thing is you look
at that game on paper and it was obvious that
the Eagles were a better team, I mean across the board.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah, everybody said that.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
Much better team. But that is how good Patrick Mahomes
is that they did manage to win fifteen games, and
a lot of it was the defense, yes, but a
lot of it was having the best quarterback in the world.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
So how did he get a first place vote?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Though, I'm gonna ask you seriously, David, I'm gonna if
a team wins fifteen games, I'm just asking you the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
It's a quarterback league. We usually give quarterbacks a lot
of credit, do we not.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
I'm not trying to yes or no, right, yes, yeah, so,
but in this case, nobody gave him credit for winning
fifteen games with all the deficiencies you just talked about.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
He didn't get a single first plays vote for MVP.
Don't you think that's weird?

Speaker 6 (27:04):
No, I don't think it's weird at all. I think
for starters, the Chiefs started slow. I think at the
half point of the season, Pat had like ten touchdowns
to eight interceptions. So for right or for wrong, when
the narratives are starting to get written, his stats didn't
match up with Lamar. And then again, look across the board,
the guys that were, like, you know, Lamar and Josh

(27:26):
and Jalen Hurts. I mean, you would not take Patrick
Mahomes's supporting cast, like not only would you not take
it over any of those guys, it wouldn't even sniff
when you compare the offenses that these guys had to
work with and Patrick and again, like even remember even
the offense that the Chiefs had in the postseason looked

(27:47):
nothing like what they were working with all year. Isaiah
Pacheco didn't come back until the holidays. Hollywood Brown didn't
come back until the last couple weeks. You lost Rashi
Rice in week three of the season. Davi're Worthy did
didn't really break out of his rookie slump until the
last month of the season. The offense that the Chiefs
had by the time we saw them in the Super
Bowl looked nothing like what they were trying to win

(28:10):
with throughout the season, and they managed to do it anyway. So, yeah,
the stats don't match up with how good Patrick Mahomes is.
But I will take him over anybody else in the
NFL without hesitating for even like a beat of a second.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
I'm here to say I don't expect him to make
Just like Tom Brady didn't win a super Bowl for
nine years, I do Patrick Mahomes won't win a Super
Bowl another super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
I'm convinced that.

Speaker 6 (28:35):
David, this is gladly on the other side.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
David, this is what I'm trying to say. This is
what I did with right now. He did that. I've
been dealing with this for years.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
David helm and our guest host of the NFL on
Fox podcast, with all of him trying to tell you
how not good Patrick Mahomes, which is absurd. He just
lost in the Super Bowl chance to win his third
which is absolutely ridiculous to say he's not that guy.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
The issue I want to go to the other guy who.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
Actually won Jalen Hurts, who doesn't get discussed with the
Josh Allens and Lamars and the Patricks and maybe even
Joe Burrow. But he's the one who can say to
the other three, except for Patrick, I've been at two
Super Bowls, I've won one. Where do you make of
Jaylen Hurts's I guess you could say career thus far
and the season that he had.

Speaker 6 (29:16):
I think Jalen Hurts, hey, I mean, the trophy is
in his hand, the ring is on his finger. I
mean that's on his resume for the rest of his career.
And I'll admit, I mean I don't. I hope nobody
thinks of me as like a Jalen Hurts hater, but
I think I've been somebody that's been critical of him
at times. And you can again look at the Eagles
supporting cast and say, well, yeah, how many guys would

(29:39):
be successful with that offensive line and AJ Brown and
Devonte Smith and Dallas Goddard, you add Saquon Barkley to
the mix. I mean, it is a very favorable world
to live in as that quarterback. And yeah, I think
it's fair to say that Jalen Hurts's job is a
lot easier than a lot of other quarterbacks. But guess what,
that doesn't matter. The object of the game is to

(30:01):
win the Super Bowl. And I think the other thing
that gets lost in the mix is people try to
cement this stuff in stone every time something happens. And
you know, like, do I think Jalen Hurts is on
the level of Lamar and Josh and Patrick Mahomes. I
personally don't. But the guy is twenty six years old

(30:23):
and he's you know, he's gotten better every year, he's
been the starter, he just won a Super Bowl, and
he's he's going to play for another decade. And so
if this is where he is in year four, at
the age of twenty six, then there's no telling what
what he could accomplish, considering he's already accomplished so much
so a very impressive run on his part. And like

(30:46):
I said, I mean, this is this feels like the
ground floor for the Eagles because I expect them to
hang around the Super Bowl conversation for a few more years.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Yeah, we might even get a three pete. You never know.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
Why? Well not, all right, Well we saw that everybody
you thought it was gonna be a three peat this year.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
So did you are clad?

Speaker 5 (31:05):
The only thought they were by field goal he had
he had the missing he had to change missing a fields.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
That's you thought it was gonna be, David. Thank you, David.
You didn't think it.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
Appreciate you guys, Yes, you.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
He saw it. Exhausted, he sounded like, give me off
this line. Wait.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
Wait, he just texted me, he said. Every day I say, yes, David,
three hours a day.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I deal with this.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
All right, one's gotta go on the way. Since our
stomachs are grumbling, the least we can do is think
about food. We got a little appetizer coming up.

Speaker 6 (32:31):
Five crowds that when I'm here, fun even number figure
it out.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
That's right to hit me out. It is that time
for one's gotta go. I'm a little jealous right now.
I don't even know what the heck I'm eating right now.
Alix got me eating some Korean cornball things that are good.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
But thank you for that. So I say that a
hand to the side.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Sometimes the hair is good every now and again, little protein.
I don't even know what y'all be talking about. Look
nature dropt. He's having his protein and out right now,
because like, what would y'all be talking about right now?
I don't know, man, So here's what we're talking about,
you know more. I'm like if you drop food on
the floor sometimes just movie hair. You didn't have to,
but you didn't have to explain.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
We we got it.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
One didn't know what I was talking about that problem.
That's why you gave that quick look when somebody looking
down and look up. Now, one's gotta go Appetizer Edition.
We can't eat right now with hungry. Actually we can't eaven.
You gotta eat a certain type of way. So we're
gonna live through this game. It's bad stuff cheeseburger, Yeah,
but he had it all lettuce and all veggies and stuff.
So here's what we're gonna do. One's gotta go Appetizer Edition, Kylamari, wings,

(33:37):
cheese sticks, chips and either guac or chips and sauceage
will count that and sliders. One has got to go.
It can be by the way. Keeso can be in
there too, Rob g because I know you had someone
we were in New Orleans. Crawfish Keso sounded amazing. I'm
jealous you didn't bring me in. All right, One's gotta go.
Since is so easy if you, mister Rob Parker, go
ahead knock it out. Chips, I mean and guawk or whatever.

(34:01):
You're gonna take away sliders and wings.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
That got chips. I don't like Mexican food. Who said
I don't like you? You don't like taco? Are not
invited to the cookout. What do you mean you don't
like chips and guak chips and queso chips.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Oh, I don't if you don't like tacos, you're asking
me like burritos.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
No, I don't want my tacos to have like the
burdmarks from the grill you said at the barbecue, right, yeah,
see no, all right, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
That is in New York.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
I will I will rob you are like, uh, this
is about to go stop now. No, I'm just saying
like this to get dark in here, like like in
New York we ate Chinese food. You don't even like
Chinese food?

Speaker 2 (34:42):
No, I don't like Chinese. All right, you're out of
the food conversation.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Next, who wants to Martin One's gotta go Calamari wings, cheese,
that's not racist, like Chinese sliders and some type of
chick guawk.

Speaker 9 (34:55):
Kso, so I mean I would have to lose chips
and guac as well. But but I do have a
beef with wings and sliders being included here. That's just
smaller portions of dinner.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Cheese sticks is a real appetite size, I agree with
Potato skins is the real like or if you had
if you had like wings and sliders, it would be
a part of a pool poop platter where you'd only
have like a few of them, and you couldn't have
a meal, Martin, you could only take.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
It or two. Because I saw you at our Little
Christmas bar. I saw how you were doing over there.
That's the thing. I agree.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
If we had a conversation about this earlier day at
the other job, like Nacho's being on the appetizers, like,
all right, that's a whole meal, but the finger, the
assumption is you're getting the nacho to split with.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
The crew, not just you bars Rob G. I'm not
shocked that Rob said that.

Speaker 7 (35:44):
But Martin has been trying to be an honorary Mexican
like Jonas Knox for years.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Now, and for him mistake. Jonas went he did I.

Speaker 7 (35:52):
Think all the executioner on the show exactly. The answer
is sliders. Even though Martin was wrong about the first
part of his take, the second part was true. If
I'm gonna get a hamburg I'm gonna get a hamburger.
I'm not gonna get a baby hamburger, Calamari, wings, cheese
sticks and chips and sausa like that's finger food.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Yeah, you know, so sliders gotta go for Alex okay,
which I haven't picked yet. Damn Okay, I'm gonna see
if we're gonna say usually we be kind on the
same waveling.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
What you got Calamari, Ah, that's the mandatory of alle
Alex man. You want to know why it's bougie.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
You know, I'm a man of the people, but Kalamari
has to stay. No, come on, that's that's my automatic.
That's the one that is not going anywhere. The answer
for me, rob g Unfortunately, I'm with you a sliders
because if I'm gonna do a burger, give me a
big you know, I want a big burger. Put some
bacon on that thing. Let's make let's make it a burger,
sly little meatballs on a butt. Also, chips and saucers

(36:53):
should be free.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
That's my take. Not mad at that. But the guak
in the case on the table.

Speaker 5 (36:58):
As soon as you old enough to remember when you
could go to a Mexican restaurant and the chimps in
the sauce were right there.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
On the table, well, you still might get that.

Speaker 5 (37:05):
A Mexican restaurant problem is when you go to the
places or when you go to these fancy places, Martin,
like we did in New Orleans, and they got you
gotta buy the bread seventeen.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Bad and half of it.

Speaker 5 (37:18):
Yeah yeah, rob ate two thirds of it. Rob All
I said to the guy, which can you bring his bread?
As soon as quick can you bring it? Don't worry
about the timing of my bread, is what I would
have told you. Robbi, being your radio husband, was like,
all right, bring for bread somebody.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
He gotta pay for it. He wanted it, He want
you eat it all. And then he had the nerve
to give me some of his pancakes.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
He did the next tape, here's your little triangle, rob
