Speaker 2 (01:27):
Rob G. You know I have to pick the best
of That's hard. So much was great? Rob G? How
do you do it? You know? He said? Don't hang
with yourself?
Speaker 5 (01:35):
Right?
Speaker 6 (01:36):
I usually just asked Steve the Seger what part didn't
annoy you as?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
And that's the one?
Speaker 7 (01:42):
Right?
Speaker 8 (01:42):
All right, Steve to give you and I just add
a third one. Steve laughed too hard. I ain't like that.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Crazy, all right, we got some NBA to get in. Yeah,
rob G, I want you to set the table for
us here. You're a great table setter. Dang, you should
work at a restaurant.
Speaker 9 (02:03):
Racist.
Speaker 8 (02:04):
That's gotta be racist. That man cuts your food one time.
Now all of a sudden, he gotta be setting tables.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Rob cleaning tables somewhere. Great, that's what you do.
Speaker 8 (02:14):
I thought you robbed you. You know what I said,
I get to that next next level? You're coming with me?
Didn't I tell you that, Alex? Did I say that?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Well? Yeah? What Rob?
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Rob? I think Rob G's with his sixty seven family
members in the mini van in Hawaii.
Speaker 8 (02:30):
You skating that's gotta be racist, Rob G too much
Hower sterning, are you not on my short list?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
You're listening to too much short You just gotta stop. Rob,
Come on, man, you gotta stop now. You need to
call him.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
Rob does listen to old episodes of That's a Story,
and I think it just bleeds over into his car.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Enough set that just make Rob.
Speaker 10 (02:52):
He called me and he heard it in the back
and he's like, what are you doing. I'm like, I'm
listening to all we runs audio of I Miss in
the morning back in New York. You are old New
York from the seventies. Mike Stone was right about you
old Jewish man and a black man in a black
man's body. You absolutely are. Mike Stone was right.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I know. Rob G said, what are you listening to?
Are you serious?
Speaker 6 (03:14):
I miss Okay, he's dead now, jeez, the rest in peace.
I guess here we go, uh last night back to
bad games. We saw it on Sunday. We saw it
again on Monday.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
NBA trying to save money on travel.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Thunder and the Nuggets. Thunder win Game one, Nuggets win
Game two. The big story, though, was not the results
that this has been every bit the MVP.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Showdown that we had hoped he would be.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Uh Sga was brilliant on Sunday, Joker playing through an
elbow and ankle issue, comes back on Monday, goes for thirty.
Speaker 8 (03:49):
Five big and the comeback right because they were gonna win,
big win. They won by a bunch two at the end.
Let's go it that game.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
And of course there after the game, you know the
way these things go. On Sunday, well Sga one, he's
obviously the MVP. Monday, yok, you wins, Obviously he's the MVP.
Well Nuggets head coach Michael Malone made his opinion fell
on the whole situation.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Take a listen.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
If you didn't know that Nicola won three MVPs, and
I put player A and player B on paper, and
you had no idea that the guy who's averaging a
triple double, the guy who's top three in the three
major statistical categories, things that no one's ever done, he
wins the MVP ten times out of ten. And I
get it, like it's different for everybody.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
MVP.
Speaker 7 (04:32):
What it means for you might be different for what
it means for Sean Cool. And again I'm not like
I will never negative, negative recruit like Shaye is a
not a good player, great player, and if he wins it,
I'll actually, you know, I'd clap my hands and be
happy for him because he's such a great guy, who's
a great player, who's good for this game. So it's
not the Cola versus Shay for me, it's me promoting
my guy because I know what he means to this game,
(04:55):
and when you look at it from a historical perspective,
he's doing things that no one's ever done.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
And I get his point, and I like that that
he's not. You know, you don't have to bast Shade
Okay to make a case for uh Nicolo Joki, Right,
you don't have to because both are great, both having
great seasons. We talked about it, Uh the Joker is
and and Mike Malone is right doing something that nobody's
(05:21):
done on a triple double. We saw the thirty twenty
twenty like like incredible, incredible, incredible numbers and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
But you cannot nt be.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Blind and just look at stats without looking at the
player what he means to his team. There's a lot
of different things that factor in. I think in the
Joker's favorite is that he doesn't have another All Star
with him. I think that's a that's a fair port
that that helps his case. So if we're just looking
at blind stats, that wouldn't be good. Are we putting
(05:55):
all the stats together and we don't even know that
one of these two players had a thirty two twenty game.
Would that be that would be a disadvantage to Yoki? Yeah,
to Yoki, don't you just okay, he's got really good numbers.
When he's doing stuff that way, when that's got to
be highlighted, when people go back and get ready for
their vote, they're gonna say, god, I was watching when
(06:19):
he did that Saturday, right when he did the thirty
twenty twenty.
Speaker 8 (06:23):
Yes, those are you know, even though it's not the
same sport. So what you call highlight moments, you know,
the Heisman moments where you go, oh, remember that moment
when he did that, and that was one for for
Yo kis for sure. I get his point, and I
love that he's supposed to big up his player, and
I love that he did it. I don't like when oh,
you know, I stay out of it. I just let
the vote.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
He liked that he has a front row seat every night, you.
Speaker 8 (06:46):
Every practice and everything, and just looking at the tape
and stuff we might not even see because you just
had to see him set this pick or do this
thing on the on the highlight, you know, on the
tapes when they're watching film. So I love that he
big up this player and is supporting his player publicly
and very loudly.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
I love it.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
But to continue the point of you need the perspective,
the context, and for you get storylines and narratives. For instance,
if you go with SGA, you would say, all right, well,
he's putting up thirty something in the game. You know,
five assists, six boards, people are incredible numbers. But you
also wouldn't know that his team as an eleven game lead,
(07:23):
like they're running away. Them in Cleveland are running away
with the NBA right now. It's absolutely incredible to see.
You wouldn't know that just off his numbers. You would
know his team is the best defensive team in the
league and he is one of.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
The best goals one hundred and forty the other.
Speaker 8 (07:37):
Out bad night for that, but you would know he
was one of the best best defenders on that team.
You know, and to your point, you know he missed
one of his better players, and chet Holmgrim was out
for very long stretch. So all of these things matter.
I don't care if you're going Jokic or SGA. These
things matter when you're telling the story of an MVP,
and that v part of it valuable. All of these
things help you understand the value of said play. And
(08:00):
to your point, you could say somebody is so valuablecause
he have another All Star, Right, that's value.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
He's just good that he's doing good.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
He is and if they try to focus in on him,
he's still getting his and more right, just say stop him.
There's nobody else, really, and I'm not saying Jamal Murray's
nobody and that they don't have other good players, but
not at an All star level. It's incredible tw win
three MVPs without another All Star.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
His two edit Monster is really really good because they
play great off of each other. But I'm agreeing with
you that it's not a h Chack Kobe situation, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 8 (08:35):
It's not a d Way Lebron where it's just nat elite.
You know, Jamal kind of can disappear for wild hell stretches.
He's playing great basketball. Last month or so, but he
can be great in the play playoffs. Yet he comes up. Man,
he it's like he just waits to the place he knows,
I'm play my best. I can't be All Star because
the West is loaded with guards. But when that playoff starts,
and if he sees purple and gold in front of him,
(08:56):
cover your ears, rob g my bad Jamal Murray kills
the Lakers.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Crazy to see.
Speaker 8 (09:00):
But yeah, you need you need the context, You need
the storylines, you need the narratives. You know, a team
could have been a team that we expected to be
eighth in the West or East, and then they end
up being first or second.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
That's a part of it. You want to know that.
Speaker 8 (09:12):
And when you're having these conversations about MVP, so I
agree with you. Storylines, contextualizing it, it all matters.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Yeah, I get his point. And his point was just
that the numbers are.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
So outa it don't make sense. It's so video.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Gig right like, and he just continues to do it.
There's nobody who can stop him, and it's it's he's
rewriting the he really is and start looking at them
for a big guy, for any.
Speaker 8 (09:39):
Guy, this is he's what he's doing is crazy. I
look at it, these two they're so you literally could
make a massive case, the Johnny Cochran case for either
of them. And it's like Godfather Too or Goodfellas? What's
the better movie?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 8 (09:54):
I asked one hundred people, fifty you're gonna give me
Godfather to fifty will give me good Fellas?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
You know what I mean. It's just one of those.
Speaker 8 (09:59):
And I'm not mad as you either way, because they
both get an hour out of me when they're on TV.
You know, I'm gonna stop for an hour to watch
my wife kidd. She sees a Godfather Too. One more
time of good Fellas. I might be living with you.
She's so tired of me turning. That's just one of those.
You get your you're ready.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
To sit down and just it's Indiana Jones like if
video thos come.
Speaker 8 (10:14):
On, that's your automatic. I call it automatic thirty who gets.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Just I'm gonna stop and then I'll watch some of it. Yeah,
and I just can't get enough of it.
Speaker 8 (10:22):
Robberie, that might be write that down for me, Roger,
that's top of automatic. Stop give you thirty minutes.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Rob g let me see what movie would have been automatic?
Thirty minutes? I don't care for any kind of movie
because you hear you meis you I heard? I heard
what your head said? Cheating Shawn? You say that I
heard you said? I did say out of line?
Speaker 10 (10:39):
Right?
Speaker 2 (10:39):
What movie is George Lopez? Talk about it?
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Gee?
Speaker 2 (10:44):
You like Standing Delivered? Don't you look at this? What's
the other one? Uh? What's up? And bloody and blue
Blood and blood Out? That's a good movie, though, That
is a good movie.
Speaker 8 (10:58):
Actually, all I'm saying is I'm sorry, Yeah, Alex, And
who you preaching to?
Speaker 7 (11:03):
Bo?
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I swear he'd be preaching in there?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
All right?
Speaker 2 (11:05):
What you got, Rob? What's the movie automatic? Is it
Forrest Gump? The Matrix? What's on? When you stopped like
I'm stopping?
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Well, you already know this has been a topic for
old people. Anybody with the old people doing? If Rob
Parker made a movie tomorrow, I'm locked in.
Speaker 11 (11:18):
I'm old.
Speaker 6 (11:18):
I don't care what the topic is. It's gonna be
rewatchable over and over.
Speaker 8 (11:23):
Really, I would have lost that bed from about you
just because there's sound terrible movies?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Though?
Speaker 6 (11:28):
How can give you bucket list consistency of quality?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Movies.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
All the grumpier movies were not good. Oh my gosh,
old grumpy old men and the second one too grumpier
grumpy your old man, dirty Grandpa is good. The bucket
list is good. Those old people doing stuff is the
most slept on genre.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
And doing stuff. I already know your Instagram.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Just kidding, well, you already know me with the Golden Girls,
all the crowd and see I do like I mean
if Rob.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
Has impeccable taste and everything, thank you this Rob?
Speaker 8 (12:05):
Yes, okay, I just wanna make sure we're talking about
what's Rob you're talking about?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
What are you talking about? Rob?
Speaker 4 (12:11):
G knows me, he knows I know what I'm doing,
and we know you're doing all right, breaking knocking up
a fridge, breaking pal no food, no food.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Did you call any of them back the Golden Girl retreat? Like,
did you? Did it extend past the cruise? Well? The
best part.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
About when you go on a cruise like that, you
don't have to break up with the chicks. They're usually
on a round. After about three or four, I'm just.
Speaker 8 (12:34):
Saying, hello, Yeah, I was calling Gertrude there, Oh Gertue
didn't make it.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Yes, who's calling never never mind. Okay, all right, it's
all good. You got a tissue for me. I told you,

here we talked about a little bit earlier. The Colts
now have Daniels now as their quarterback.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Was it one year?
Speaker 9 (14:18):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Fourteen million dollars for him?
Speaker 8 (14:21):
And now they got to figure out what they're gonna
do with Anthony Richardson.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Of course, who is there who? People are tantalized by
his talent. He didn't play enough games in college. That's
not an issue. That is an instant that goes back
to what I'm saying. People love the potential, like, man,
what can be if he gets if we get it right,
if we put him in this position, if ooh, let
me get him, let me be the offensive coordinator to
the quarterback coach when he's not been great. Percentage completion
(14:49):
percentage is terrible.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
Yeah, But here is my issue, and I get all
that to me, there's still room to grow and see
more from that kid.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Oh, I agree.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
I've seen Daniel Jones for six years and I threw
up in my mouth. I just seriously, I don't know
what they see that I haven't seen. You know, at
one point, rob G, do you remember at one point
with the Giants last year he went like eight games
without throwing a touchdown at home or something, and with
something like ludicrous.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
He has an incredible receiver. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (15:23):
No, I don't think this is about him as if
they look at him like he's our guys. I think
it's a one year I think it's a Anthony Richardson
is injury prone.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
But is that the guy to push Anthony Richardson?
Speaker 4 (15:33):
I mean, if I'm Anthony richards I'm like, really, Daniel Jones,
who the Giants got rid of in Minnesota, he was
holding the clipboard and.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
They didn't even don't even want to they didn't even
want to keep him there.
Speaker 8 (15:44):
Yeah about that, I think this is absolutely gonna be
a we just got a guy in case Anthony Richardson
gets injured again or Casey decides to check himself out
of game.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
That was bad man. You could say you can say,
my stomach is bothering me. I gotta go to the restroom.
I could do a Paul Patters, get me on a
wheelchair something to come to something. I can be getting
out this game like this.
Speaker 8 (16:11):
But in case Anthony Richardson calls for himself to be
checked out an injured, I really do believe you know that.
You listen, you need a backup. And two Minnesota's credit.
That's what Sam Donald was, Hey, just come back up,
JJ McCarthy and then he outplayed him and then JJ.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Has I know you were saying that, I don't know
if Sam was given a job even before the injury.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
I'm not so sure that he had that. Well that's
what the that's what they said. That was. That was
what it was, that he won the job prior to JJ.
I've read stuff that doesn't say that. And if it's
mixed like that.
Speaker 8 (16:45):
And even if he my point is having that backup
is what I'm saying, like, you need that backup. Jacoby
Brisset will stay in the NFL for another five, six,
seven years because he will be the perfect backup.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Just come in, Charlie Betcher had a great backup career
in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 8 (17:02):
You know, I feel like has to be a little
bit more disappointed that he was a backup because he
played really well when he played, and in some case,
if it weren't for a punctured lung from a doctor
who messed him up, Tyrod Taylor has to kind of
feel like I was a little bit better than a
just to you know, perennial backup because he played well.
And then remember the doctor made him in the chest
with the needle and cracked his lung, poked a hole
(17:25):
in his longer, whatever the issue was, that was really weird.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
That was crazy.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
But but yeah, and Tyrod Taylor, his big thing is
that he didn't doesn't turn the ball off, right.
Speaker 8 (17:34):
I mean, I'm not saying he was. There's thirty two starters,
and I'm saying it wasn't. Thirty two guys better than
him year after years, and he's got.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
A chance to start for a few teams, you know
what I mean, as especially if something goes wrong with
the starter, they're very apt to want to have him
ready to go as a backup.
Speaker 8 (17:52):
But I just Daniel, I don't, I don't. He's that's
what he's there for. Like who else stated quarter you
need a backup.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
I get that. I just don't.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
I don't think he pushes no Richardson. I just think
that he's there, like you say, and Richardson just got
to mature and they got to keep going there's something there,
but we haven't seen enough for you to turn the
page on a kid like that.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
And the issue is to your point, just when they're
maybe out on him, he'll throw a seventy eighty R
pass on the money that you'll go, okay, if we
can just get that sex sixty percent of the time.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Obviously didn't expect to do them all the time. And
that's the issue.
Speaker 8 (18:26):
I think they might go into this training camp and
you just see the difference, like, Okay, you know Daniels says,
all right, he's solid, he'll be he'll be a pro
for a while. You know, he'll be on the team,
he'll back up. But I think you'll see Anthony Richardson
make a throw or make a run that you go, okay,
you can't coach that. And that's why you they'll keep saying, man,
(18:49):
if we could just lock it in and get him
ready this year, because those things that will make you
go okay.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Why do you think the Vikings just didn't keep Daniel
Jones for that week?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
You know, JJ McCart that's a fair point.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Like he was there, like he was in the meetings,
he was practicing, you know what I mean. Once he
got over there at the end of the season, and
they still didn't feel like he was worth keeping around, that's.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
A good question.
Speaker 8 (19:12):
I think I didn't want to go to pay the
fourteen million. That was what I was gonna say. They
paid Sam Darnold ten million. So maybe they were, hey,
we'll just do the same thing with you. Hey, here's
ten mil. What's what we did with you? Being fair,
it's the number of boom boom taking the leave it
like this inflation though, and he might have wanted to
go somewhere else where. He knew he had a chance
to start like Anthony Richardson. He prop he being Daniel Jones,
(19:32):
feels like I can start over Anthony Richardson, Whereas he
knew they are invested in JJ McCarthy, you know what
I mean, Like this is their guy.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
They moved up to get him. This is their guy.
There's no doubt.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
So I think that has I have a chance Anthony
Richardson gonna get injured or throw six interceptions in the
game and I'm gonna get in I think he feels
like that so real quick.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
And then we'll wrap this.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Does Daniel Jones become the starting water back at any point?
Speaker 8 (20:01):
Yes, Okay, I'm gonna say no, I'm going injury or
Anthony just has two bags, like two games of three turnover.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
They're like, we can't keep doing this. Here's the follow
up question.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
This is gonna blow your mind, assuming that does happen
dub where I think Richardson is ineffective for like a month.
They've already benched him before they have they go to
Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Is that it on Anthony? No?
Speaker 6 (20:23):
No, No, Does Anthony Richardson get his job back? Because
Daniel Jones isn't so bad, right man?
Speaker 8 (20:29):
It's like inception. There's like a dream of bad after
bad at the nightmare after nightmare.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
That's the problem is that is that Daniel Jones. I'm
saying for a non injury. If he's injured, obviously Daniel
Jones gonna play. But I'm gonna say no, Daniel Jones
is there, but they want to see if this kid
can play and give him all the opportunity this year.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I hope the dude is when he's at his best,
running people over in the end zone eighty R bombs.
Speaker 8 (20:54):
It's fun. The Anthony Richardson experiment is fun at times.
Then it's times you're like, bro, come on now, get
it together.
Speaker 3 (21:00):

eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Will do that here shortly.
Speaker 8 (21:20):
While we've been we've been doing our show Gilbert Arenas
Gils Arena the podcast there.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
I never missed Gils. We know, well, you didn't want
to miss today because they had your boy on.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Steven A promised he would come on today and he'd
give Vin and he has some little bit more smoke
for Lebron than he kind of had the other day
on the show.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Let's hear what Steven they had to say. You said,
my son was it?
Speaker 11 (21:42):
I was talking about you.
Speaker 12 (21:44):
I was talking about you one about your son.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
I know he's number fifty five.
Speaker 12 (21:48):
I know he got work to do. I believe that
he got potential. I believe that he got the potential
to go pro. I truly believe that's gonna be tough,
but I think he could pull it off. And by
the way, and root for him. Ain't ruin against nobody.
Joy You you did this. You the one that had
us as reported as a league as an NBA Franchi
(22:09):
almost gotta sit.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Back and.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Wait, I want to sit back and be quiet, Brandon,
kme here. What else was he saying?
Speaker 6 (22:18):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Because saved us. At the end of you catch Catch.
Speaker 6 (22:23):
To let it go, I said, Steve will take the
fall for it, no.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Worry about it. Well that's his man. Yeah, he was
got a hundred meal. I'm not that he has one hundred.
He got a hundred.
Speaker 8 (22:32):
He's got a hundred meal. Deal with it. Can you
play this little SCC fine for us real quick?
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Steve?
Speaker 8 (22:37):
Uh so yeah, I mean we didn't hear the last
little part there, but he definitely had more smoking, more
fire than he did on it on his show on Monday.
So you weren't here Friday or Friday wasn't sorry you
weren't here. You didn't get a chance to uh, you know,
to to respond your thoughts.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yeah, I thought it was lame on Lebron's part. I
really did to do that, you know. I saw something
that Ryan Clark said and I thought to myself, that's
spot on like that. He never stepped to skip Bayless
like that, you know what I mean, who's who's for
a long.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Time talking about his career and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
It's just interesting that Steven A would be the guy
you feel like you want to come up and be
big and bad. I just thought it was unprofessional and
unnecessary and and you know, drew attention to himself. He's
usually the passive, aggressive guy with his tweets and some
of the stuff that he does, but here he felt
good about doing this in public where he easily could
(23:34):
have picked up the phone. Rich Paul and his people
could have picked up the phone. Steve ain't afraid of anybody. Okay,
I've known him for a million years. He'll have a
conversation with you and if he needs to push back,
he'll push back.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
And he's that's who he is. It's not an act.
He's from New York.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
Okay, that's how people respond. So I just thought it
was lame to do it in public. Do it behind
and the near the locker room, in a private office
back there or whatever. And if you want to air yourself,
you know, air Steve out or yell at him or whatever.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
I've been yelled at and whatnot.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
But not Rob come down to the field and let
me yell at you in front of everybody. Like That's
the part that I just didn't appreciate and I thought
was bad and unprofessional.
Speaker 8 (24:19):
Yeah, I think what makes it interesting is that Lebron
is so planned out, executed and usually.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Mild mannered.
Speaker 8 (24:31):
I mean we've literally seen him get body slammed by
players on the court where we all like, oh, like
all he's about to get up me, you know, get
up and not his walk to the free throw line.
You know, guys getting his face will kind of laugh
or he might you know, make get him my face
a little bit. But he was adamant with Steven a.
That was that was what made it weird. We rarely
see Lebron that adamant about something and step Yeah, because
(24:52):
also keep in mind, you know, this is the fourth
quarter of a game, This isn't you know in the
locker room and the tunnel on the way to the
locker room. This was literal during a game, so I
would imagined it had to be a little bit jarring.
And then Steve NAS's response the first time was impressive
to me in that I thought he was gonna go
scorch earth, you know.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
The whole take a look at me, put the camera
on me.
Speaker 8 (25:13):
That and he said, I can't definitively say I wouldn't
have done that as a father.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
And I thought that was interesting.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
See that's where I disagree with that take. And I'm
gonna tell you why if this was an AAU situation
or a high school or whatever, not in the NBA
where he's making millions of dollars. He's in the NBA,
you're open to criticism everybody, general, managers, coaches, all the players.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I don't care who you are. You don't even have
to be a great player. Okay, you bums get it too.
That's why the bumbs get it too.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
If you miss a big free throw, rob g who
did Lebron passed the ball to?
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Who missed the free throws in the playoffs? George George Hill,
George Hill legend. Okay, George Hills. Yeah, Smith saved him,
but George Hill he.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Got the business right because he missed the throws that
were very important in that game. And all I'm saying
is people are open to criticism once you put that
uniform one and you step out on the court and
people pay money to see you play.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
I think that's where this is starting to get weirded
out and mixed up, is because I think most people
agree Bronnie James is open for criticism. Yes, like he's
a player in the NBA, not even the G League
because he's half G League half NBA.
Speaker 8 (26:25):
Whatever the NBA contract. He's got an NBA contract. He's
making millions of dollars. He is not above, you know,
being criticized as we would do now. There's not much
to criticize. And it says he doesn't play often, but
he's not above it.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
The thing it should be behind closed doors to nobody
that even puts Bronnie, your dad has to stand up
for you. I get this, lebron but it would be like,
and you know this, in the NBA, there'll be some
players whose fathers have been too involved and too much
and it cost them either not making teams or not being.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Or trading them. Don't want to be bothered. There's a
handful of just sit in front row t Martin, I
mean John Moran, that te Morant's had a couple of moments.
You got fall back to you.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
You do it too much right here and you know
you're getting into it people, And yeah, I think the
only thing I can think of it because again it
was so out of the nature of lebron that I
think the fathering thing, like he said, my son, you're
talking about a blanking son. But I think it was
more the questioning of you know, you're putting your son
in this position. You have us doing this your son.
(27:34):
You have said all that, and I think it more
than anything, it was the father ring of your son
more than the son himself, because really said nothing that
wild about Bronni.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Right.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
But but the point is is that Stephen A is
saying that he's put Bronni in harm's way by forcing
the issue here, that his kid ain't really ready.
Speaker 8 (27:55):
And yet you got and and that is the part
that's even as talking about that's a father.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
You you have to eat daughters.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
As a father, you want to protect your daughters, Am
I right at all calls, so sometimes knowing that they're
not ready for something.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Hey baby, the same right, yeah, what a father would do.
Speaker 8 (28:20):
And sometimes circumstance and sometimes hit dogs holler and maybe
bron bron Lebron.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Feels like dang, you know, maybe maybe we should have
did it differently. I don't know.
Speaker 8 (28:31):
I just know it is that of nature from out
of character, and I think robs you. You know, it is
if somebody if you put in your daughter, you remember
you said she she like yelled at.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
You like who are you? Or something like who's this man?
Something that made you feel like, oh shoot, people.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
Looking like oh yeah at the school when she didn't
want to get in the car with me. Yes, it's
still mad about that.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
And any should be any type of thing. And even me,
like when someone questions your father how your father ring,
it rubs you the wrong way because you're like, hold
on now, hold on, and that's your kid.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Million dollars.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
I agree, Like that's the part that separates the normal father.
Speaker 8 (29:05):
He he's got a job and lead a professional exactly
in the NBA making rews. That's what I'm saying. That's
the only thing I can think right or wrong. I
think that's for him. He just more than Briannie. You're
questioning my father ing, and I think that's what ruther
than rowing. That's just my thought, all right.
Speaker 4 (29:20):

Speaker 5 (30:33):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Fellas? How are you?
Speaker 5 (30:35):
I'm good, blessed man. I can't complain. I'm trashing Stephen A.
Smith and that take you out. Just talked about with
him talking about Lebron James and his son, and as
Bubba Doug would say, he that takes as it was trash.
Speaker 9 (30:49):
You know he's just as well good.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
He got him. First of all. You talk about like
Kevin and just say you talk about Lebron Day and
how he raises You never talk about how man raised
his sign. He's not the guy has signed the leading
the wrong way, doing the legal stuff. Steven. They tick
and choose who he want to talk about. You didn't
talk about Michael Jordan and how he raised his son.
His son out here doing drugs, got.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
A woman on us all.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
Allegedly doing all type of stuff. You didn't question his fatherhood.
But this man is trying to raise his son and
the right way. And you're talking about if you want
to speak to the stats, stay on the stats for
all the extra stuff.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
It's under no Robert, I hear you, and I'm not
going to interrupt you. Go ahead, finish.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
Lastly, he does you You had a chance. This man
can't eat face and face. You had a chance to
have all that screaming, all that yelling you did on
Gill's pocket. But you didn't do that when that man
was in your face. You wait until you got to wait.
And now you want to do the curse in stream
and yelling.
Speaker 14 (31:43):
I don't I don't.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
Respect that at all. That's that you should did that
when you that man with face to face, you as.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
A man, all right, Robert, appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Seven nine on Fox Call in Mobile, Alabama.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
You're on the yond couple of Fox Sports Radio. Who
you're tryingh and go.
Speaker 13 (32:00):
I am trashing Lebron will Smith James for the way
he handled this situation. Man, How can I called this guy?
You guys show a year or so ago when I
said this will be the worst idea in the world,
the worst idea for Lebron to play with the son.
Now you have the face of the NBA, threatening the
face of NBS Indie. I'm sorry NBA coverage ESPN one
(32:24):
hundred million dollar man on t National TV. How does
he not pick up a menacing or harassment charge from NYPD.
It's a complete disaster. But Rob, I'm glad you're back.
I was when this happened. I was wishing you were
on the radio. We need you on that wall. We
watch you on that wall because they can't handle the truth.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
All right, I appreciate it, Carl. You know I'm here
to tell the truth all the time. Chad in Stockton, California. Oh,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Who you trash? And Ken?
Speaker 15 (32:57):
I don't know what you paid that guy, Rob, but
I'm trashing you. And I'm agreeing with Kevin about your
take on Tiger. It's tall, brother. He only has to
play the Majors because no other golf for young or
black or minority can't play golf. Doesn't mean it's Tiger's fault.
Kevin's right, He's waiting for his son like Lebron. So
(33:21):
get your pennies on well and get over with it.
Speaker 8 (33:26):
So good today it is especially come over to my
side now it's about two or three weeks, right, My
man was Don Yeah, he's very appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Cameron in Indiana, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (33:38):

Speaker 11 (33:40):
Hey, I'm crashing all the incoming quarterbacks and Tom Brady
chooses to get Gina Smith over you.
Speaker 9 (33:46):
Let's gotta say something.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
I hear you, all right, Hey, thank you? Yeah? I
mean yeah, like we'd rather have Gino. That's saying a
whole lot.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
John in California, you're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Who trashing John?
Speaker 14 (34:02):
Once again? I've got to chime in on trashing Lebron.
I'll tell you what. I'm not always the hugest fan,
but I respect the man at least I did because
he wants to trash steven A. Smith or what he did.
How about trashing himself for putting his boy in that position?
That kid that is never never live up to his dad,
He's the one that should be.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
It's back there you go, John. I think that was
the point Stephen, he was making.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Leo in New York City, you're in the couple of
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Who are you trashing?
Speaker 14 (34:32):
Leo?
Speaker 9 (34:34):
Well, I hope you guys can't hear me find I'm
milow on ever Weather, but he's tr here one more time?
Speaker 11 (34:41):
Who more touching on ever Roger? Pushing for home?
Speaker 9 (34:45):
That will put me on my desk.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Question, we might not make it.
Speaker 9 (34:50):
There's an ut professor who told us that sport as
a short menu queen or losses.
Speaker 11 (34:56):
But when it comes to this boy, Aaron Rodgers, the
pompum's cam out and well guess what who I mustached
picking both knicks in Aaron Rodgers, who won more games?
And you know what, Kevin, I'm fortunate you for that.
Speaker 9 (35:12):
Why are you letting this man get.
Speaker 11 (35:13):
Away with this?
Speaker 9 (35:14):
I mean every time it's Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 11 (35:16):
You watch the girl watched again rod We all watched
the game.
Speaker 9 (35:21):
Okay, alright, no.
Speaker 11 (35:24):
Vote, let me cook.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
I want to Leon to keep cooking.
Speaker 14 (35:31):
Leo.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Now you're living my pain. No matter what I tell
this man, rob I try to tell him. I tell
him that Aaron Rodgers was like thirtieth and twenty eighth
and passing percentage p qbr anything. Listen to me.
Speaker 8 (35:44):
I tell him he was five and twelve. He doesn't
listen to me. Aaron Rodgers, Yes, today, make not win
the game, make the Pro Bowl, listen to it. We'll
get a vote, a first place vote.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Meeting in Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, but his team was five
and twelve. That's his foughts. He's supposed to lead in
the patories fifteen and two and got zero.
Speaker 8 (36:04):
Said, this is the first time in the history I
can yelled at because I'm fifteen and two.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
It's the first time in history.
Speaker 8 (36:09):
I go to the Super Bowl and I'm bad Robgie
and Lee, I'm.
Speaker 4 (36:13):
Super wo had the nerve to come to Brooklyn to
Chris's comedy club to meet us, and now he just
all he does is call up and rip on me.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Man Leo.
Speaker 8 (36:21):
Really, I'm from New York City Leo too. So I
got Leo my side, and I got Ken.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Can't leave it, Ken, I'm I'm I'm done with you.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
I am so pained by this.
Speaker 8 (36:34):
Are you done with the forty nine ers? Though, yes,
I'm done with the forty nine ers? Fox Sports Radio
