(01:22):
for one last caller to chime in.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
How's that?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
You ready to talk about your boy?

Speaker 5 (01:32):
My boy? That's your boy?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
You ready to talk about somebody who? I mean, my gosh,
is he learning from the school of Jerry Jones. I mean,
I know he is a player on his team, but dang,
you got to take after him. That is Michael Parsons.
More news for him, Rob Gi. He didn't stepped in
it again?

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Huh, he can't.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
I don't know if you can say he stepped in
again if he never gets out of here right now.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
He's an habitual line stepper, right, habitual line stepper.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I take that.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
So this all started allegedly the way this is working
out here you recalled last week, we talked about it
on the show. T Higgins and Jamar Chase secured the
bag from Cincinnati, right, Jamar Chase became the highest paid
non quarterback in FOREL history, and reportedly T Higgins became
the highest paid number two receiver in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It was reported at the time that he got.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
A four year, one hundred and fifteen million dollar deal,
and the first two years were guaranteed. Only problem is
when the terms of the deal were released and members
of the media, who are good at this kind of thing,
were able to dive into it and figure out the
nuts and bolts of it all Pro Football talks, Mike
Florio figured out that that deal is not four years

(02:45):
one to fifteen as we knew. It's not even four
years fifty five. He didn't even get a Sam Darnold deal.
The way this contract works actually is basically a one
year deal.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
For t Higgins.

Speaker 6 (02:59):
He's going to get realistically right around thirty six million
dollars in twenty twenty five, with signing bonuses, roster bonus,
so on and so forth. However, the Cincinnati Bengals, if
they wanted to, could cut bait with him after the
season and not have any more guaranteed money after twenty

(03:20):
twenty five, All of which led to Micah Parsons on
Friday flexing his Twitter fingers, went online and fired a
shot at t Higgins and his representatives. Here it is quote,
some of these agents don't have the best interest for y'all.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Wake up.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
David Mulugetta, who was Higgins's.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Former agent and MICA's current age. Remember he fired him
so that he could have the same agent as a
mar Chase. Mulugeta has been showing it time and time again.
It's sad seeing some of these players get violated by
teams because of lack of decency and effort by their agents.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Calvin, you're always ripping on him because he was the
one who told the Cowboys publicly won that he didn't
need to break the bank.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Or set the mark exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yep, always bring that up because again, if I'm an agent, hey,
brou Relax, I don't need you put I'm an agent
for a reason, you trust me for a reason. Don't
be going out here publicly talking about I don't need
to break the bank. I don't want all the money,
which in turn is the irony of it is because
if T. Higgins didn't necessarily break the bank here, maybe

(04:33):
he needed to work this out because if you know
even further, the new agent that he has, he being T.
Higgins is the same agent as Jamar Chase, and so
a lot of the reporting was that they got these
deals done jointly as if attack team. Hey, since I
represent both of them, since they both played the same
position on the same team. Let's work this out where
boom boom boom for him, boom boom boom for him.
So that's how this worked out in tandem. So maybe

(04:54):
he wanted to not necessarily break the bank so that
he can still be with Jamar Chase, so he can
still be with Joe Burrow and still be with the
Bengals where I'm sure they feel like, hey, we're all
healthy in Roland, we are one of the better offenses
in the league. My issue with this with Rob is
I'm gonna actually say, maybe Micah had his.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Tea against best interest at hand.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Maybe he had his best interests at heart saying, hey,
you know, you could have gotten more.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Hey, you could have you know, took some more money
from the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
My issue is, how often are you gonna keep being
in everybody's business?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Micah? Do you take a week off? Last week?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
You're in DeMarcus Lawrence's business, right, you gotta know who
a whole new team across the country up in the
Northwest with the Seahawks. Hey, I love Dallas. Dallas is
my home. It's where I want to you know, my
family's still there. But I'm moving on, and you know
I probably wouldn't go win the super Bowl there anyway.
You jump in, Oh that's clown activity and done jumping
in with that. You jump into every topic. Dak Prescott

(05:53):
don't even name in the top ten. You jump in
with your own contract stuff. You jump in with Mike McCarthy.
I don't really care. You know, he's oh yeah, if
he's here or not. You know, it's about the players.
I saw the careboard, which he may have felt that way.
It's a lesson I want young people to learn moving
forward in their lives. Ninety nine percent of y'all won't
be in the NFL. Just because you can doesn't mean

(06:13):
you should. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to.
And I said that to say, just because he can
get his Twitter fingers going, just because he can crack
open the mic on his podcast, just because he will
have someone ask him a question on their podcast, he
doesn't have to speak on everybody's business. He just doesn't
have to. And I can imagine it's gonna go tiring.
DeMarcus Lawrence was kind of the older guard and for

(06:34):
the Cowboys, you know, locker room defensively and you know
there's issue with them. I would imagine it's kind of
more of the this is how we've done things, Micael's
more now, this is how we're about to do things.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
And I'm better than you.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I said that to say this is gonna this are
the type of things that get and fracture locker rooms.
I'm not saying he can't have a podcast, but if
he had one that was a niche pod again completely talking.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
About something like the kicks.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
All I talk about is kicks, and I have on
athletes who are their favorite shoes, right, and we're talking
about this, and rappers and entertainers, movie stars their favorite shoes.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
It's that he's having all.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
These conversations about the same sporty plays with the players
that are on his team, or it's players that were
the former team or his current coach and Mike McCarthy
at the time when he did it, or his current
quarterback in Dak Prescott not naming him. And these are
small little things that could potentially come that last straw
that broke a kettle back. And if I was one
of his mentors that I was saying, I'm not saying

(07:29):
you can't have an opinion and.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Shut up and play football.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I'm not saying that, but you don't have to put
your name on everything. You don't have to speak on everything,
and that would be my biggest thing with him.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Man.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Maybe he had he wanted the best for Tim Higgins,
but you put your you jump in every conversation and
it becomes tiring one.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
I mean, come on, dude, yeah you know everything that like,
really you know everything, what's best for everybody.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
You don't know what was on the table or what
the proption was. You don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
And just because your agent was fired, of course he's
gonna tell you, oh, I would have got a better deal.
And look how bad this dealer is because I'm because
he's afraid that you might walk out on him. Of course,
an agent's gonna tell you that. What agent's gonna tell you? Man,
that was a great deal. I can't believe he got that.
I would have never gotten that. Can you imagine an
agent telling I could.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Have gotten better? What did he get twenty eight? I
could have gotten thirty two?

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Exactly?

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Come on, man, I mean, don't be that naive about
about the.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
The what the agent's telling you.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
And now you're gonna go out as propaganda and push
it out there because he's your agent, and and and
the bottom line is still this has something to do
with the players. This is this is the bed you've made, right,
You've allowed this to happen. You know how long would

(08:49):
take to have guaranteed contracts?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
One one season? They don't, they don't suit up.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
There you go that it wouldn't even it wouldn't even
take that long, all right, they were k before that
week six.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
We're losing.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Look how much more? How much money have we lost
through six weeks?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
TV companies calling NFL I didn't sign up for this
exactly when my money didn't sign up for this?

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Do you see what I'm saying?

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Like it's it's unfortunate that they don't understand it or
they don't see it. But you got to be able
to work as a group and speak as one. And
until you do that, you will continue to do this.
These guys are bragging and they're purporting all these contracts. Moan,
Soto's getting seven sixty five right every time. Bobby Benia

(09:34):
is still getting his money.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Well there sitting at home, feet up every year getting that.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Million that million dollar every single year. Come on, man,
how and all the NFL does is brag about how
much money it makes and rubs it in the face.
I've never seen anything like it.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
No, I mean, listen, you you bring that up, and
it's always a very valid and great point because again, maybe,
like I said, maybe he really met one of the
best FORTI I don't necessarily question that maybe he does.
But again, they put themselves in this position where we'll
never fully know what was what and what could have
been because they don't have we talk about it. They
don't have the war chest, they don't have the where

(10:12):
with all the strength to just say we're gonna bite
the bullet for a minute and go forward with with
some type of you know, uh, you know, we got
to sit out some games, we're gonna have to, and
but they're not gonna do that. But I still think, well,
you know, going back to Micah, the larger point for
me is he just doesn't have to speak on everybody
else's business if he choose to himself. Okay, fine, if

(10:33):
you want to put yourself out there, if you want
to say, I won't even I don't even want to
take all the money from the cowboys. I just want
to be a cowboy, Okay, if you choose. It's not
great negotiating tactics that Kelvin would do.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I wouldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
But I'm just blown away at a man that jook
throws his name and his opinions and everybody else's business moves.
And you know, I just I'm blown away at that
weekly like dude, dude, take a week or two off.
My goodness, No, I'm with you. It's just it's just
over the time.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Like, Okay, see football season, can you relax, mikedness creation.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Two, you're in the offseason, Go work out, go go
go meet your new teammates, Go go out to lunch.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
He go out to lunch nineteen sixty five.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Good, go buy you can buy all the two four
entrees and Fridays you want.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Michael Parsons And.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Again I'm not saying he can't have a podcast. He
doesn't want to do a vlog and he wants to
pop on other people's podcast.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
It's to me, it just doesn't have to be.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Discussing everybody's business and all those types of things. And
I guess that that's the thing that blows me away
is again he's not talking about hell my favorite movies. Yo,
He not even doing like a political one or anything,
which obviously that could get in that could get a
little crazy too, But it's just discussing things that could
become small distractions that could become bigger ones because that
could have blown up. Last year we talked about that.

(11:51):
What if Dak Prescott, the best offensive player arguably and
then him the best defensive player, get into it. And man,
I'm just curious, bro, I mean, you don't mention me
in your top ten. I mean I'm just saying, you know,
and now it becomes a fractured thing, you know what
I mean, Like little small things just are not needed.
And you've been covering locker room since nineteen eighty seven, yes,

(12:13):
and you know how these things can get. Man, it
gets where teammates gotta take a side. Are you Shack
or you Kobe? You know, when they're a feud, are
you on this side or on that side? And it
could just get weird. And you just don't need that.
And you already have enough media people who may be
trying to do that. You already have enough social media
TV shows already, You got people girlfriends arguing about with
each other.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
You don't need that.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
The last thing I need is for you to continue
to add extra distractions to us.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
That's just my thoughts now I think they're spot on.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Is Micah Parson's being a hypocrite with his comments about
t Higgins eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty twenty sixty nine.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
We'll continue that conversation next with you.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
It is the Odd Couple on a funky flash Back Friday,
Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Stick and stay so Uncle Rob can drop more wisdom
on you in the US of A.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Always be sure to catch live editions of The Odd
Couple with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven
pm Eastern, four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Here we go, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
It is the Odd Couple, Rob Parker, Kevin Washington on
a fucking flash Back Friday, and we are broadcasting live
from the tire rack dot Com studios as always, and
Tractor Supply, well, they know that a winning season takes practice,
team work in a can do attitude, and when you
have a neighbor like Tractor Supply, you can be thankful.

(13:46):
Team work comes easy with them wherever you're caring, whether
you're caring for your pets, you got some chickens or
a few acres. Their team members will help you succeed
season after season, tractor supply for life. Out here, Parsons,
we're having a conversation. Is he being hypocritical because he
even came out and once said, I don't want to
take all the money from the cowboys just to stay here.

(14:08):
I just want to be a cowboy. Now he's talking
about to Higgins, who maybe didn't get the biggest back
in the world. Maybe he was helping out the Bengals.
Or are you also just tied to Micah eight seven
seven ninety nine On Fox, Rob, who we got?

Speaker 7 (14:21):
All?

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Right? Chili?

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Tim in Atlanta, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
What's up? Tim?

Speaker 8 (14:27):
Whatever?

Speaker 5 (14:29):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Chili?

Speaker 8 (14:31):
Let may ask you something like with Michael Parsons like
a middle child and never got enough attentions on.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
You.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I mean something is he doo.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
Key on the wire and the other kids didn't want
to play with him?

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Yeah? Something going on, right?

Speaker 8 (14:47):
But again, don't you hear most athletes?

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Rob.

Speaker 8 (14:50):
I've heard him saying on your show, and I heard
him on other shows. Sh they never put their hands
in another man's pocket.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah, yes, you know, yeah, after.

Speaker 8 (15:00):
Watching everybody and and you know, like you said, Calvin City,
you know, uh, his teammates and you know he's dividing
locker rooms because they're like all we do is hear
you chirping. But you're not playing. You you You're soon
going to be known more for what you say off
the field than what you doing on the field. If
he's not careful, and that's where he's headed, I guess he's.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
And he's too good to be that. He's too good
to be that.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
You're to be that.

Speaker 8 (15:23):
And if you focus on his game, on his his
his skill, man, he could really dominate. Like Miles Garrett,
Miles carriages out there doing anything he didn't want, hiccup.
But for the most part, he stays on the field,
he does his job and he's dominating out there. Michael
Parson could be the same way if he was just
put his mindset on football and leave all these other

(15:45):
line right.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I just saw a young guy with so much talent,
My god, like that. If you if you have something
to say and you do well, Tim, there'll be an
opportunity for you after your career.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Why are you.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Man, just play just even just talk about things.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
He's a million things he could talk about, you say't
gotta talk about other people's you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Like if he came out, I.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Was like, yo, I just saw such a saych movie.
You gotta tell me Tom Hanks and Denzel who's the
best one?

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Or hey man?

Speaker 4 (16:12):
You know, I really think he feels like he's like
like worried about the future rather than the present.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Like you're not Lawrence Taylor, right, and everybody was telling
you were gonna be Lawrence Taylor.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Why why shouldn't you aspire Kelvin to be Lawrence Taylor
first before you want to be Tony Romo?

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Seriously?

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Yeah, And I think that that I'll get you by
being broadcaster. And I think that also makes it weird.
Thank you for the call, Chilly, appreciate it. I think
that also makes it weird. Is again that typically players
don't often talk about other players, like you have some beef,
you have some feuds, and you know that that happens.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Different time to time. But like he's not like this
is what I mean, Rob, He's not.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Saying I don't like quarterback x and when we see
him next Sunday, it's going down. Baby, I'm going that's good.
Why would like a little rivalry, We like a little juice.
I get that he's going at players about money. He's
going at players about their decision to go elsewhere and
play for another team he's going And those are the
types of things that make a little weird of me.
He's not just have like a rivalry with, you know,
the opposing team. Some he's a cowboy, so maybe some

(17:14):
commander like it makes it fun for Sundays. He's going
at people in the offseason about their money and other things.
And I think that's what also makes it weird for me,
is those types of conversations normally we don't necessarily get
from other.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Players, right, You just don't hear it. And I think
it's a bad. You just need to.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Not worry about other people, worry about yourself, worry about
your play, and you go get your contract and worry
about that. Those things shouldn't matter. It just doesn't make sense, Rob.
Do you want to try yeah, just quickly.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
It's interesting that Chili Tin brought up Miles Garrett because
you know, he had the whole situation about his contract
and his trade demand, and Rob Parker was one of
the few people in the National weeed who really took
him attach for that whole situation. But lost in that
whole conversation is something that that Calvin brought up as well.
There was an article or report in The Athletic that said,

(18:06):
it's no secret that Miles Garrett shows up late for meetings,
is not paying attention. He's not the leader we need
him to be, or he'still rewarded him. The difference though,
is Micah Parsons with his habitual commentary, habitual linestepping. As
Doug mentioned earlier, anytime he does anything it becomes a
big story Miles Garrett because he basically keeps to himself

(18:28):
in a great When he does something like that, which
in my opinion, is much more egregious than anything Michael
Parsons would have done or said on his podcast, it's
not as big of a deal.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
That's that's that's a perfect point.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
And you see once you got that money, how that
leaked out about Miles gap right like all of a sudden,
because people are like, oh, okay, they rewarded him, but you know,
he could show up late every day you.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Know, but you know what I'm saying, great point, but
you know, to Rob's G's point, it's one of those
things like you know how certain people screen screened in
did you scream at somebody because player said player got
a duy or something like that, Oh he's the worst player.
People are going crazy. Let's say what always happens, and
it's hilarious. Is the next, you know, a week or
two or three weeks or a month later, that person

(19:13):
screaming that radio personality, don't use it. I apologize for
my DUI that I got. You know, I've been having
drinking issues. It's like and so to me, it's like
what you're saying, Rob G. That because Miles Garrett is
low key, mine's business just plays, some of his transgressions
are left bottled up, you know what I mean, left
swept under the rug. Whereas Micah is like he's screamed

(19:35):
about stuff, then we gotta scream back at it, and
we got to bring upstad.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
It becomes a thing or to chili teach the chili
Tim's point.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Sometimes you forget, oh yeah, he's actually an outstanding football.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Player, right who was early on being mentioned with the
lights of Lawrence Taylor, who's a lot of people would
say it's the greatest football player up.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
He's in the absolutely have to cover.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Lawrence Taylor with the Giants in his heyday.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
You've seen the video Rob g and Kelvin where he
reaches over the line and grabs a quarterback with one
hand and throws him down. So the greatest player he
ever saw, Bill Belichick and and and Lawrens.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
Taylor was that. All of that, all of that.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Man, Lawrence Tato was crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Man, I tell you what, dude, We're company live from
the Tirereck dot Com studios. Uh, let's just get my
point I was getting ready to make. I can just
ask old than this. We are joined now old polonies,
former NBA vet Fox Sports Radio NBA analysts Old and Man,
what's up? By the way, I saw you ran to
you Dave Brown's birthday party a week or two ago,

(20:52):
saw you up in there.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Exactly he won that he won?

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Oh no, I said, uh, Golden, I said, Golden Polonique, Polonius,
Golden Politique.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
Why are you gonna do that?

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Man, You're going out dry snitching on people, telling them
where they are.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
I know, come on, come on.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
Man, you gotta do that.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Old man. Hey, you know what he Oh, they might
have said he was on the way.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
He was at the shelter feeding the homeless.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
No, that's the good No, no, no, that's a fair point.
That's why I'm trying to tell y'all. It was Golden Politiques.
Y'all know him. This is old and Polonese joining us now.
Shout out to his brother, Golden. I was getting ready
I bring this up, and I'm glad you're here because
Steve just gave us the uh. He said that the
Pelicans Zion didn't play. It seems like and nowadays we have.

(21:48):
If you look at a lot of the number one
draft picks, you look at Ben Simmons injured a lot.
You look at Zion number one injured a lot, Blake
Griffin number one pick was injured a lot, and you
can keep kind of going down the line. There is
there's something to these kids specializing in sports, playing nothing
but basketball since they were four. It's all they play.
They're locked in. They don't take a season off. They

(22:10):
go in to AAU, then they go on to other
tournaments and they're traveling and these guys are coming in
younger and younger, heard and always injured and LaMelo ball like,
I don't remember any error with this many young guys.
Young guys are this injured? Am I crazy?

Speaker 7 (22:26):
You're not crazy? And we've talked about this ad nauseum.
It's a it's a it's a thing that's happening now
because of AAU basketball. It's as simple as that. You
are absolutely right. They are playing too much basketball, and
that is ball they doing. They're either playing Xbox or

(22:47):
they're playing basketball basketball. That's it. Nothing else they're not.
They're not stretching their muscles out by doing different sports.
And I played AAU basketball for Riverside Church and we
played maybe four games in a weekend, and it was
always because we were winning championships. Now they playing four

(23:08):
games a day. On Thursday, they play a game at night.
They played three four games on Friday, they play another
three four games on Saturday. They're creating another three four
games on Sunday. And they do that every weekend. That's stupid.
And these kids are not doing They're not properly taking
care of themselves. They're not stretching, they're not doing anything.
They just playing basketball. But it's just too much basketball.

(23:30):
A young guy should not be having knee injuries, knee
issues back right, none of that stuff.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
It is pretty amazing.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
So Brownie played in a thirty point blowout, scored seventeen points,
and I'm just old and I'm not you know, it's
hard for me to get like people are worked up
or whatever and it's a blowout.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
He got some run, somebody's got a score.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
I'm not knocking the kid or whatever, but I'm not
going to celebrate a thirty point loss and a guy
off the bench at seventeen points.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Are people just overdoing it? Or am I? Or am
I just being a hater?

Speaker 7 (24:10):
Well, you're not being a hater. They are overdoing it.
I mean, okay, once again, are we just really in
this era, in this day and age where we're celebrating
everything stuff like this, We're celebrating the least amount and
to me, that's not cool. Yes, he got he scored
seventeen points, but it was a twenty eight point bro.

(24:32):
Look at his plus minus. It was insane thirty six.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Yes, that's what it was.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
I hear about. Come on, I'm not doing that. Okay Again,
I appreciate what Lebron did for his son. I wouldn't
do the same thing if I was in that position.
But let's leave it alone. The kid, he's a basketball
player in name only right now. He can he can't
get better, and I'm sure we will get better, but

(25:01):
we need to stop doing this stuff. Every time he
does something something like this.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
And they were like, oh uh, well, nough. Did you
see the movie he put on?

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Giannis and Yanna's had to grab the kid because he
didn't want to be embarrased.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Oh my god, did you see him? What? Really?

Speaker 7 (25:19):
I don't even think Gianni's was paying attention, right.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Boy, I tell you, listening to YouTube, we can't that
that boy had the best game of his career. And
I don't know what y'all want the people to just
literally not mention it.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Just the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
You know they gonna get mentioned even if this the Lakers,
you know they're gonna get talked about old and you
know that. But speaking of let's stay with the Lakers.
They obviously right now, you know they got guys resting.
Last night they had like six guys out. But let's
assume this is just something as they're gearing up towards April,
geteering up towards the postseas where they got a chance
to finish one, two, three, depending on how it all

(25:55):
works out. What do you make of this team as
a realistic contender, because we haven't really got to see
them rolling healthy all the way. But the times that
we have, they've had the number one offense when they've rolling,
and believe it or not, a top two defense when
they're rolling as well and healthy.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
So is this something that has.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Actually viable them in the postseason or is it just
kind of cute for now?

Speaker 7 (26:17):
I Mean, the Lakers are really an enigma. So it's
hard to tell because whenever they start getting going, something happens,
there's an injury, one guy comes back, another one goes away,
and so it's kind of tough to gauge them. I mean,
but you have two of the best players in the

(26:38):
league on the same team, and Lebron and Luca, so
that's gonna bode well for them. But I don't think
they're going to have enough, you know, even with the
defensive stuff that they're doing. And I keep saying this,
it's one thing to play good defense against a team
that's up team and forty five, as opposed to a

(26:59):
team that you got to play seven games and they
make an adjustments and you got to figure it out.
It's a totally different thing in the playoffs. And I
just don't think they're gonna have enough, not this year.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
And how about the Warriors and what Jimmy Butler has
brought to them? But they're still trying, are they They're
like on the cusp of they could be a playing,
They're not even they had such a bad start. What
do you make of the Warriors if they make it
into the playoffs?

Speaker 7 (27:32):
Well, the Warriors had a really good start they.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Had yeah, then they had that exactly yeah, and it
was really bad, right, exactly right.

Speaker 7 (27:41):
But this injury to Steph Curry, I don't know how
bad it is. You know, I saw the fall, but
you know, nowadays everything's monumental for these guys, and so
step included, because again I've seen people take harder falls
and get up and play and not miss a beat.

(28:01):
So I know they're gonna hold him out. That Jimmy
Butler factor is a thing, and he's gonna have to
carry the team. That's one of the reasons why they
brought you in for those instances when Step isn't available.
So now the rest of these guys are gonna step up.
And that's the one thing I always got to give
Steve Kirk credit for. He will put his young guys
in positions of importance early in the season and throughout

(28:24):
the season to where when it matters most they are comfortable.
And I think all these guys are gonna be comfortable
playing without Step for a few days. But also right now,
it's gonna be a matter of positioning anyway. So teams
are I'm not saying they're gonna lose on purpose, but

(28:44):
you know, winning is not gonna be as important based
on what matchups are they trying to get.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
That. I mean, obviously that's gonna be big. I guess
we talk about all them. The Lakers obviously struggling with
Denver in the postseason, so I can see them trying
to you know one no avoid that as well.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
I wanted to ask him about the Joker, and we
saw the Big Game, the thirty twenty twenty and just uh,
the idea that how in the world could this guy
not be thought of? Or one and two with Shay
about the MVP, where are you on that race?

Speaker 7 (29:18):
Well, it's gonna come down to the same thing with
Embid when he had two in a row, they were like, well,
let's give it to Embid. His stats this year are
better than his three MVP stats. Yep, that's insane to me.
He's doing a lot more than Shade is. But they
gonna probably give it to Shade because he hasn't won one.

(29:41):
And to me, you know how I am about criterias.
If you're gonna give Noe waldout no matter what it is,
have a criteria that the minute they are met, that's it, period.
If you able to achieve each criteria, Because at the
end of the day, they're gonna be oh, okay, well
we're gonna give it the shape because he hasn't won one.

(30:03):
That's not the most valuable player, the most value of
the guys. We cannot win without you, period. And to me,
depth Denver and that's Nicola Jokic.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Yeah, yeah, people see it your way. It's it's it's define.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
It's gonna be very close. I think it's gonna be
very close. And I do think s G A. I mean,
obviously we'll have to wait the end the season, Olden,
but I think the distance, the distance in which the
Oklahoma City thunder will matter that the beating the Nuggets meeting,
if they're up ten games in the West, twelve games
in the West, I think that'll be the main number
for SGA to say, look, my team was twelve games

(30:40):
better than the Nuggers or thirteen games better Nuggets. So
I think that'll play a role. Oh the man, appreciate
you shot to your brother, Golden. Tell him I said,
what up?

Speaker 7 (30:49):
Thank you man? And about it hours you did not
see me?

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Remember that, see you where what you're talking about? I
don't even know what you're talking about.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
I told him I thought Kelvin was cool and understood that.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
You know, that's why people No, that's real.

Speaker 7 (31:01):
