we get off, we get to watch it, getting ready
to go watch this get home boom. I'm like, wait,
what what just happened? In Juju goes down the first
quarter on a fast break. Couple girls kind of you know,
Cheryland are trying to stop them. There was nothing doing nothing,

that's clear, nothing to file. She's going the whole in
her defense. Yeah, and they weren't even they weren't even
following her, just on the sides of her, both sides,
and she kind of it looked like her right leg
just playing it wrong, and that thing just gave out, man,
and she tore her right a cl season ending surgery.
Was down for a while, and you know, obviously a
lot of pain and just yet the day before, everybody

was having the conversation about her and Jade and Daniels
and his mom kind of you know, coming in the
middle of them having fun with it was a cute
little story.

She was damn hold you see the point she said,
fuck out and listen, we're all being professional mouth leader.
They looked like she was like, boyfucking hey, focus, straight ahead,

she told him no girls. But everybody's like, Mom, that's juju.
That ain't like some little floozy trying to get with
your son. That's juju. She you know, she's self made.

But some point of bringing that up is it's just
amazing how life can go. You know, just twenty four
hours early, give or take a couple, you know, two
or three a day or two, she's sitting there watching games,
hanging out with Jay and Daniels. We're all having a
little fun on social media about where they flirting with
each other or not or are they just friends? And
that was like a cute, little fun story. Then the
next day or two, booms, she's down down for the season,

had an incredible sophomore season, breaking all times of records,
first team, this first team, that Big Ten Player of
the Year. I mean, just doing what Juju has done
twenty five a game looks amazing. And so it was
difficult because you know, there's page with Yukon, you got
Lauren Betts with UCLA, you got some some player flows

in a with LSU, some more you know, other players
out there.

But Juju is Juju.

She's the face of college basketball, women's basketball, arguably college basketball.

And to see her go down, it just took the
wind out of the cell, not only for the Trojans,
but just for women's college basketball, like oh Man, because
you were looking forward to her getting to the Final four,
competing on a big stage. You know, and listen sports
these stars and if you especially o't heads basketball, Yeah,
and you look at all the success they had in
twenty twenty three, then that goes incredibly. I mean, you

look at there was an eighty nine percent jump in
the national championship game from twenty twenty three to twenty
twenty four. Of course, when we had Kaitlyn and Iowa,
LSU all right, South Carolina. I'm sorry. And so now
the ratings everybody was concerned row are not gonna go
down this year. There's no Kaitlyn, there's no Antel Reace,

there's no this, there's no that. There's no drama, you know,
per se, And that's not the case. They're putting up
all these numbers right now, and they've done pretty dug on.

going with Caitlin last year, Juju this year right, and
her pursuit of maybe winning a championship or getting to
the final.

But again, credit, I think there are still some women's
bas college women's basketball stars out there and some teams
that can still do alright with the numbers, they're gonna

thousand view which was the highest ever there. So they're

the numbers yet, but there hasn't been a drop like
ones would have thought without Kaitlyn's gonna be dropp and

been in playoff series, that have went deep, that have

the smartest thing that he has done. Everybody talks about

how smart JJ Reddick is. Look at how smart he
does this, Look at what they do. Now he blaming
it on fatigue. Well, if you're so smart, then why
are your team tired? Okay, number two, because this is
when you're gearing up for the playoffs. You're not supposed
to be tired at this particular time of the season.
You know you're in the best shape that you can
be unless you're injured. And so I think the best

thing that he did, the smartest thing he did, was
have Nate, Nick Millan and Scotti Brooks on his So
now Scotty Brooks on his coaching staff. So I think
he's gonna have to lean into them a little bit
and see how you can extract whatever you can extract.
And I don't know. I think Austin rivers. Again I
said this from the very beginning. I was like, all right, man,
I don't know if Luca and lebronco coexist. But then

I thought about after I retracted that statement and said
high basketball IQ players great players, they always figured it out.
But one thing you can't figure out is how to
play defense. I think Austin reeves the liability on the
defensive end. We know Luca's a liability on the defensive end,

lot of pain and just yet the day before, everybody

was having the conversation about her and Jade and Daniels
and his mom kind of you know, coming in the
middle of them having fun with it was a cute
little story.

She was damn hold you see the point she said,
fuck out and listen, we're all being professional mouth leader.
They looked like she was like, boyfucking hey, focus, straight ahead,

That ain't like some little floozy trying to get with
your son. That's juju. She you know, she's self made.

But some point of bringing that up is it's just
amazing how life can go. You know, just twenty four
hours early, give or take a couple, you know, two
or three a day or two, she's sitting there watching games,
hanging out with Jay and Daniels. We're all having a
little fun on social media about where they flirting with
each other or not or are they just friends? And
that was like a cute, little fun story. Then the
next day or two, booms, she's down down for the season,

had an incredible sophomore season, breaking all times of records,
first team, this first team, that Big Ten Player of
the Year. I mean, just doing what Juju has done
twenty five a game looks amazing. And so it was
difficult because you know, there's page with Yukon, you got
Lauren Betts with UCLA, you got some some player flows

in a with LSU, some more you know, other players
out there.

in Orlando, I was a really bad loss. They just lookedgic, lookethargic,
Looke ball hogging out here in these streets, and uh,
you know they were.

They couldn't stop Orlando.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Orlando's like the worst averaging team as far as points
all year, and they've they've scored one hundred and eighteen
very easily against the Lakers. What did you make of
that the Lakers have struggled of late.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
You got to remember Orlando being hurt, right, Uh, Wagner
been out. The other Wagner is out for the rest
of the season. So they and and Paolo was out
for while. They're good. Now they play extremely hard, Okay,
they do. Jamal Moseley has them playing hard. They believe
in him. They're young, young team that believes in themselves,

and so it wasn't surprising to see how much faster
they look compared to the Lakers. Okay, the thing is
the dust that's settled, right. The honeymoon season is over with.
You know. It's like that girl that you you you meet,
you like, oh, I really like her, and ooh she

looks so good in those jeans, and then you start
kicking it with her and he say, hey, cause you
make me something to eat, and she can't make a
bowl of cereal.

Exactly what it is because they can't defend you know
what I mean.

They have been one of the best, if not as
right now, I know.

I don't know what he does. I think he's gonna
have to lean on his assistant coaches. I think he does.
I think that's one of the smartest things he did
as a head coach, would surrounding himself with other head
coaches that has been in this league before, that have
been in playoff series, that have went deep, that have
coach stars. I think that's the biggest thing to me,
the smartest thing that he has done. Everybody talks about

how smart JJ Reddick is. Look at how smart he
does this, Look at what they do. Now he blaming
it on fatigue. Well, if you're so smart, then why
are your team tired? Okay, number two, because this is
when you're gearing up for the playoffs. You're not supposed
to be tired at this particular time of the season.
You know you're in the best shape that you can
be unless you're injured. And so I think the best

thing that he did, the smartest thing he did, was
have Nate, Nick Millan and Scotti Brooks on his So
now Scotty Brooks on his coaching staff. So I think
he's gonna have to lean into them a little bit
and see how you can extract whatever you can extract.
And I don't know. I think Austin rivers. Again I
said this from the very beginning. I was like, all right, man,
I don't know if Luca and lebronco coexist. But then

I thought about after I retracted that statement and said
high basketball IQ players great players, they always figured it out.
But one thing you can't figure out is how to
play defense. I think Austin reeves the liability on the
defensive end. We know Luca's a liability on the defensive end,
so they're going to have to figure out what they're
going to do and their style of play on that

side of the basketball, they're gonna have to rebound the
ball to. And don't get it twisted. That ain't the
only team that just ran through them. They got run
through by Chicago.

the Celtics. Uh, the next the Bucks?

Pistons or the Cavaliers are. Just say, take the Celtics
out of it. Who's the next strongest team that that
could potentially get to the championship out of the rest.

Nothing. There's no team there to me that's going to
get to the champion.

Outside of Boston. I said outside, I can't go outside

That's what the Boston Celtics is if they hot inside

believe that no thing could be them if for game series,
I'm talking about the Celtics. But as far as I

Celtics could get beat I don't think I think they're
the team.

Bucks out, take the Bucks out of it then? Right
now the Bucks is out of there. Do I think
that the Cleveland Cavaliers could rock with Yeah, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I think that'll be a four to two series four two.
I think I could give one game the Celtics doesn't do,
don't do what they're supposed to do, and then I'll
give the other games Donovan Mitchell goes crazy. Uh. As

far as the other teams, the Knicks, I don't see
it with the Knicks, eith uh, I don't know.

The Knicks just don't feel the something. Yeah, they're just
they don't have enough. There's no depth. Obviously, Jalen Brunson

But even when they are healthy, Eddie, they don't beat

They're not that deep. And I don't know if it's

I think he trusts who he trusts, and he's gonna
play the guy that he trusts the most. So I
would say the Calves and the and the Celtics. The

some blood clot issues. Don't know what that is. We
know the severity out indefinitely. We know Wimby's out, so again,
prayers up for him. That's a serious thing, But take

I ask you who's the best player in the NBA,
you're gonna say Yo kich Sja and then probably Yanness

to say n B was healthy.

Maybe you get down the five six, you throtate him
in there, and so on and so forth. Yannis Antetokumpo

as long as I got some good players on this team,
we should be extremely competitive, a one, two three seed.

know Cleveland's good, but shoot, they run into Milwaukee. Hey
I know, man, I know the Pacers are good, but
they Hey man, I know Boston is a ranging chap,
but man, they're gonna struggle with or with Milwaukee, and that's.

get a perennial All Star twenty four or five points
a game, like, dang, what the heck's going on? So
