So a lot of stuff to get to let me
welcome in my partner.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
He is, mister Rob Parker, what is this a mirror show?
Mirror No, it is.
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Oh, you guys don't agree today what Calvin Washington is
what happens when he's slicked back today, he's feeling extra.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's not a man, bud.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
It's just like a viking. Look look at it.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yes, you know, it's like just a slicker because you
set something on fire on your way in, right, your Viking.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Like that's what they used to do.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
That is what they do. But pillow the town set
some fire and dip out. Always set something on fire.
And a Viking funeral is that you would burn.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
You know. They put that they'd send you out to
sea on a boat and shoot a fire arrow.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yep, and then lett let you. But I know I
was watching something with Vikings not too long ago, and
that was it.
Speaker 6 (03:19):
But probably Sam McDonald going off on him. That's probably
what There's only Vikings you were watching?
Speaker 1 (03:24):
That was it?
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Really cheap funeral? By the way, yes, very.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
The cremation will be twenty thousand. I don't worry about it.
We got it.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
I got a boat, I'm on the cremation.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Are you really?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Are you kidding waste? I don't want my family to
waste two cents.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Man, you you know my respect for you either. You
just said, not only do I not want you to
spend seventy cents of they'll pull your local extra Minnesota.
I don't even want you to spend seven thousand dollars
on your boy. If you just seriously send out a
bow and arrow on me, that was the best. It
was an archer in the Parker family, ain't my nephew
(04:02):
Is my nephew Robin Hood?
Speaker 1 (04:04):
All right?
Speaker 6 (04:07):
Well, if you got a nephew Robin or Robinette Hood
they can just right there on the Hudson Rob.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
I do know how to shoot an arrow.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
So there you go.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
You got the hair, you could do it. You look
like Mel Gibson and Brave Heart or something.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
You can do. Everything good.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Yeah, everything's good man. Happy Wednesday to you. Hum day
weeks flying by?
Speaker 1 (04:30):

Thank you.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
Watch out, Second City, watch out, laugh Factory, your boys
on his way.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
You know it's time. Alex is our enginey Year Boe
is our producer and for Rob G.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
And I talked to Rob G today.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
I just I just called and I just said, hey,
we haven't talked in almost a month. I'm just calling
to make sure you're good and everything's cool and everything,
and you hang up and I said, actually when I
he laughed. First thing I said was I just called
to see if you block my number. I just wanted
to see if you are blocked. Six week block did
(05:27):
I said? I wanted to say, if you blocked my number.
Speaker 6 (05:29):
You think he's gonna come back? Rich You don't think
he's coming back. I have a feeling he has been
gonna he's gonna quietly comeback. And he's Oh, guys, by
the way, I'm twenty two pounds down now, it's gonna
be a double dad body.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Oh yeah you think so? Yes, Oh you know a
woman just gave birth.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Well you know that.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
I know that getting himself.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Actually okay, well yeah, just truck, dude. If I took
six weeks over here, I'm coming back looking like you.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
I believe you.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I will come back. I just don't see.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
I don't think robb robb g is not going to change.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
Or but he was doing good. So that's six weeks
to see. I thought it would be freeing for him.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
It was the pancake thing.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Yeah, yeah, still the pancake thing. One of my favorite story.
When I leave this company, tell me your favorite story,
that's one of those.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
And no, he did not put the pancake in my mind.
I was there.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
I don't believe.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
Me and Brusard are men of the claw, can you.
We both said that that's what happened. Okay, yeah, Chris
Brussada is an upholstery salesman.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
And you want to drop to your knees, thank you,
Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
Anyway, and manty Blos is at the anchors. She'll keep
us updated throughout the show. You that's the story she
is telling dB right now. Must be real, my gosh,
nothing but the back of her head and shoulders and hands.
And you don't tell me all that because your volleyball game, yes,
(06:59):
my gosh.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
And she didn't limp it here, so she must have
done alright in the volleyball And of.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Course our ever heard of him social media?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Ever heard of him?
Speaker 6 (07:11):
Goo, never heard of Elijah, who's.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
One of the best in the business. All right, it
is playing basketball. We saw a couple of games last night.
John got thrown out in the fourth quarter of that
one to wind up being a twenty five point blowout.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Trey Young, Trey Young, yes, Trey you know what he he.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
We had so much time, you know, we talk about
Joe oh Man he's blowing.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
And he was about to be the.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Face of Trey Young when he went into Madison Square Guard.
You remember that was waved off and all that. He
was supposed to be the new villain the regiment and
that kind of.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Yeah, he led the league and assists this year and
total assistant.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Like he's he's he's good. He's a You thought you
were gonna get more from him.
Speaker 6 (07:54):
You thought his teams would be a top five team,
you know what I mean, Like he's a he's a
shoeing in the post season. He's going to be a
regular villain in the postseason. And he's just not there.
And you start to realize, like, man, he just not
He may not be and may be still young. He's
still relatively young. But maybe as of now, Trey Young
can't be the guy of your team. He can be
(08:16):
your robin, but he can't be your batman. Yeah, and
he still could be very good.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
That's your robin, all right.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
And then the Warriors game, the second game obviously blew
a twenty point lead and wind up winning the game.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I did have the Grizzlies plus six and.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
A half, so they it was like three five twenty
man dude and bounds the ball instead of getting a
five second call, maybe they tie the game up. That's
a terrible you gotta get it, you can't. It's what
does he play on?
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Dookie? Can't get the ball and bound? Dude?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Right?
Speaker 1 (08:51):
What was that?
Speaker 6 (08:52):
At some point you got thought you gotta do the
throw it off their knee thing like something your internal
clock goes for I just thowt off his knees, getting
get a.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
New But tonight, what are you looking for playing? We
got a couple more games. Obviously the Mavericks. We're going
to see them.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
We got the heat Bulls. That's gonna be first here,
coming up in about twenty minutes or so. Then, like
you mentioned, we got Mavericks and Kings, and I'm looking
at got two thoughts going in.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
To see the matchup. The moves you do?
Speaker 6 (09:18):
No, oh no, I mean, yep in nineteen ninety seven,
that's what I'm saying, heat Bulls in nineteen ninety seven.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
And that's want to be a Debbie downer.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
But the matchups, they're like the teams that shouldn't have
made the playoffs matter.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
And all I thought about was the conversations we talking
about did anybody really want any of the either four
of these teams in per se Look at the their
records on their on their left. Yeah, we can start
with the other two under five hundred. Yeah, like it's
not and both the Western Conference teams are okay. If
Kyrie and ad that's a different story, right, but they're
both obviously ads Kin nicked up and Kyrie's heard. And
(09:54):
the Kings you don't know what they are once they
just got rid of de Aaron Fox. And we're a
very very very disappointing team. We all, I had them
going pretty far. You thought they were gonna be something
with the Aaron Fox years back. They look like they
were gonna be they were supposed to be. Yeah, the Rockets,
you know, like, oh, this young team that's coming in
that So that's disappointing.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
So two things I look at. You kind of took
one of the points. So you get up.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
You wake up today, really good playing game with the
Warriors and the Grizzlies goes down to the wire, great game,
some great offense job, pushing through an ankle twist that
looked really bad. Bans going crazy, Steph Stephan, Jimmy Butler,
We'll get into that conversation later on in the show.
So you're thinking, all right, okay, that was fun what
we got today, And you look at these matchups, two
(10:34):
things come to mind. One, I'm looking at really four teams,
but three out of the four that this season made
some moves that I personally didn't agree with, and now
they find themselves in the playing into more importantly, moving forward,
they find themselves in, well, what exactly.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Are we making?
Speaker 4 (10:53):
You shouldn't be able to get into play offs if
you trade the Aaron Fox?
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like you too, I
was going, yep, you shouldn't be able to get in
the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
And their mindset is it's a new day, and you know,
here we go and we got a chance.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Like that is the one that's kind of like what
they're in the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Yeah, So I'm looking I'm looking at these these teams
and I'm kind of like, all right, so you got
the Mavericks. We'll start with the Mavericks. They trade Luca
for whatever the reasons. I'm not a fan of it.
We've we've talked about it to nauseum, but they make
that move. I think it was not a great move,
but especially basketball wise. Obviously we've talked about maybe it's
clearly money, or it's clearly they got a deep, dark secret.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
They ain't said nothing, said anything public, but there's some
reason other than basketball.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
So so okay, then I go to that. But I
look at them and I say, they made a move.
They're struggling. The guys hurt they made Anthony Davis was
out for a while. Now he's back, but he's nicked up.
Kyrie's out. So I'm looking at them. Then I look
at the Miami Heat. You and I set up here
and we debated about pat Riley. What's he doing? He's
he standing on business or is he hold his team
hostage not figuring out a way to do something.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
With And well, they're to play in play in. I'm
calling at the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (12:03):
They're in the play in And so now I'm looking
at the Heat, like, you made bad decisions. You could
have maybe held on to I mean, got something for
Jimmy if you could have, you could have just you know,
made some moves earlier. So now I'm looking at them
in this position. And then we talked about the Aaron
Fox with the Kings. They decided to move on, they
get rid of the Aaron Fox requested the trade. He
was supposed to be their star, put up thirty a game,
(12:24):
and now they're in this position. So I look at
these franchises and Zach Levine finally gone with the Bulls.
So all four have made moves that they either could
have made earlier or I just don't agree with the moves,
and the Mavericks moves specifically, and the holding on to Jimmy.
I would have wanted to get something for Jimmy, you know, earlier,
and now I'm looking at him as where are these
franchises going? So that was the first thought. Four teams
(12:45):
made moves and what are they doing? And then lastly,
and this goes to the Trey Young conversation a little bit,
and you your first thought of I don't get excited,
when is the Eastern Conference not going to be the
Leastern Conference? Cause it's been about fifteen years of the
Eastern Conference being the one you kind of go always
being Dolly pardon top heavy. They got always have two
(13:09):
or three up front, you know, if it was the
Pistons for a while and it's the Celtics back with
the KG is now.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So Cleveland and you got Cleveland there, that's my point.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
You got Cleveland, you got the Celtics, Milwaukee is well,
the knickser but it's like the Eastern Conference, man, why
why aren't they the star driven? Like? How long are
they just gonna be the conference where you're just like, eh,
maybe three or four teams up front?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
But after that? Man, all right, where are you on
the matchups? Here? Is it?
Speaker 6 (13:40):
What if we asked you, uh huh, what are you
looking for out of these matchups? Seriously?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
What I'm looking for?
Speaker 6 (13:47):
Are you looking for a d to maybe show like
his worth? I'm gonna tell you you, look, what are
you looking for? I'm looking for with the first game
bulls heat, I'm looking for the bulls ya. Kobe White
to absolutely who has been balling the last couple of
months of the season, and to put himself, look, the
playoffs or playing is where you make your fame. The
(14:08):
regular season is where you make your name. The playoff
play in is where you make your fame. Jakobe White
ball out giddy as well, who's been averaging basically a
twenty one point triple double the last you know, a
couple of months as well.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
He's a free agent.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
I'm looking for the bulls to say, hey, there's life
in Chicago, the third biggest city in America.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
So that's the first thing I'm looking for.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
A d to re establish himself, remind people, Remind people
that yo, I get your Luca love, but I can play.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
You know the difference between me and Luca. I won
a championship and he was a big part of it.
He won on nobody's coattails.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
You remember that, you could argue he could have been finals.
He may remember that big shot he made Denver, Yeah, yes,
against Denver and he just paulled out.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
He was really really good.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
That was he was bawling now and he had his
every Nobody was kind of mad that he didn't ball
out against Luca Luca's homecoming, because they're saying, both of
you traded. This is your moment finally going up against
each other in this setting. And Ad was light, whereas
Luca Dagnar fifty all.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. What are
you looking for a round two of the play in?
Is this about Ad? Can't be about some of these
other teams that are in there? I think of all
the players I'm looking at right, it's gotta be about
AD's Kobe White, a new star Kobe White, or a
(15:39):
d Who you trying to see? It is the odd

Speaker 6 (17:42):
How about Drew in New Jersey, You're in the Odd
couple Fox Sports Radio, Hey Drew, who you want to
see in it playing?
Speaker 1 (17:49):
What is this about with these next two game tonight?
Speaker 8 (17:52):
I want to see if Ampenny Davis got it. I
don't think he does. I've seen him in New Orleans.
I've seen him by himself. He's not a number one,
just like Kyrie was in number one, which was with Lebron.
Anybody wins with Lebron if you're a solid number two.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
I agree, but he was big. He was big in
them winning that championship. Would you agree with that?
Speaker 8 (18:14):
That was Scottie Pippen But he ain't Jordan's.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
No, But the difference was Scotty Pippen, and people could
keep talking about Scotty Pippen and Jordan. Scotty Pippen had
every chance to win an MVP in the finals and
all that nobody can give you, you know what I mean,
Like Michael won all six.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
If Scotty was like, come on, man, like stop saying that.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
Because if there's no reason Steph hasn't won every one
year people call him the greatest shooter all all the time.
He hadn't won every finals MVP because it ain't just automatic.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
I mean, when.
Speaker 6 (18:43):
We're talking the best of the best of the best
of the best, and Lebron's like they're always gonna you know,
that's what makes them the best.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
But if Scotty really was that and had something to
add there.
Speaker 6 (18:53):
Hold on, you're about to make me sit up here
and root for like talking for Scotty, even though he
got beef with the Pistons.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Scotty was that guy.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
He wasn't he Come on, He's at the game where
he had the ice pack on his pressure, he had
that headache, he had the migraine head Mic and last
dance was like, yeah, you know, Scottie, uh had a
little headache. Don't do him like that, Mike. It was
a migraine. He couldn't see Jean in Memphis. You're in
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Gene?
Speaker 1 (19:20):
How are you hey?
Speaker 8 (19:23):
Like eb MD said, you got to chill man.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
That's right. They went to my college E P.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
M D.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Did they really? They do Southern Connecticut?
Speaker 7 (19:32):
I know that's what I said.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
But listen here, man, when you come to myth, you
gotta come to Big Bills.
Speaker 7 (19:36):
Bob.
Speaker 9 (19:36):
You got a real play with your name on it.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
I need to get there. I need to get them town.
I gotta get there talking about that. Yeah, but the
I want to.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
See the Kings and the Grees.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
I guess, man, that'll be cool.
Speaker 9 (19:47):
And Dan thumbsers and we wasn't doing like that.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Yeah, that that would be great.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
I mean they looked good last night despite the loss.
They did look good. I don't know how serious.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
But they came back. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:59):
Everybody their team who's supposed to have done something did something.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Main he made a marker those guys.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
Man, I can't even lie.
Speaker 10 (20:08):
Man, that was That was a masterpiece.
Speaker 9 (20:10):
Man, that was crazy.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
Yeah, he had a flow. That's what I'm saying. Steph
is the king of flurry. I'm gonna start calling that
man mcflurry. That's his new nickname for a Steph mcflurry
because box time, you.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (20:21):
I'm gonna get to Memphis for the for the ribs. Okay, yeah,
you know they do barbecue down there. But that's what
Steph is. He ain't gonna hit a game winner on you.
He ain't gonna hit that kind of big shot. But
if you're talking about just a flurry in a minute,
that just sets you back as the opposing team. That's
him which is cool for him because he has a
steadying force in Jimmy.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
But we'll talk about that next time, Yes we will.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
That's right, all right, we got Christian Clark covers the
Mavericks for the Athletic. Obviously Mavericks getting ready to play
here in a little bit. We'll talk about that with
Christian in just a moment.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
All right.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
We are joined now by Christian Clark covering the Mavericks
for the Athletic. You can follow at c Clark Underscore thirteen. Christian,
what's going on are you? Hey? Guys, appreciate you'll have
me on no doubt before we even get to the game.
Just the need the response down in Dallas from Nico
Harrison's quotes, which is ridiculous press conference meeting. There was
(21:14):
no video or no audio, which I don't I don't
know what that was about. But anyway, uh that he
has no regrets.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
What's been the conversation down there about about his comments?
Speaker 9 (21:27):
Yeah, and obviously has not been well received. You know,
Nico is basically like, you know, I feel like we
made the right decision. I don't regret anything he said
Defense one Championships about one hundred times. Look, I don't
think they maximize the return for the trade. I asked
(21:47):
Nico about that. He said, I feel like we did.
You know, it has not been well received. It was
just a strange event too. I mean, we got an email,
you know a handful of media members in the market,
local media members and Dallas got an email to David
for it said, hey, we're having this roundtable with Rickwell
to Nico Harrison, you no cameras and you can't bring
audio recording devices. We eventually talked them into allowing us
(22:10):
to record it with our own audio recording devices. But
there were no cameras.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
But it's ridiculous. You're a reporter. Do you want me
to quote you accurately or not? Am I right? Like
that's ridiculous? And what about the TV people in town?
Speaker 4 (22:24):
I'm sure they were happy about no cameras.
Speaker 9 (22:28):
It's it's truly bad footing. I don't I don't know
what to say.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah, and let's say this crazy. Here's the other thing.
I just want to follow up.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
And Kevin and I have talked about that, and I
just this is not a basketball trade. What did he
do to to not want them to pay him three
hundred and fifty million dollars. It can't be about basketball.
He's an international star. We know all the accolades, everything
he's done. This is we're not given this guy, Mama,
(23:01):
what what's the scuttle butt?
Speaker 9 (23:04):
I really don't think it was. It was one thing.
I mean, I think, you know, you look at some
of the some of the diet, some of the conditioning, like, yeah,
there was there was flaws, but the guy played, and
he played at a high level. I think, you know,
I think one interesting detail that that the you know,
we at the Athletic reported in his story pretty recently was,
(23:26):
you know, Luca had his own personal medical team, and
when he was out with this left cap streen, he decided,
you know, while the Mavericks were going on a five
game road trip, the longest roadtim for the season, I'm
going to stay at home and work with my team.
I want I want to work with my people. I
don't want to be on the road trip. I feel
like this is the best thing for me to get
back on the court as soon as possible. Nico Harrison.
The Mavericks didn't want that. They wanted him to be
(23:47):
around the team and go with them on this trip.
As he rehabbed well. In the middle of this trip,
he got traded and so it was I would say
it wasn't one single event, but it's it's stuff like
that of like I'm gonna stand Dallas works my team
and they're like, no want your run team Like it's
it's stuff like that just added up.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Uh he is Christian Clark cover and the Mavericks for
the athletic Let me stay there with Dallas. And I
want to ask about what's the temperament of the fan base.
Obviously they're upset. Do you think it's something that's long lasting.
Do you think it's just, oh, they had a bad
you know, spring, and they'll be all right by the
come the next season, or is this something that they're
(24:24):
gonna take. Is gonna take a while to build that
trust back with that fan base?
Speaker 9 (24:29):
Yeah? I mean if the fan base is absolutely livid still,
and I completely understand it, and I don't think it's
gonna just go away. I really don't.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
I mean, I think how could it not.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
How could it not if they if Kyrie and I'm
just saying, if they play well and make a run
or whatever, you don't think fans it's about winning isn't
it wouldn't they embrace if A D and Kyrie mesh
together and they make a run or not.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Well they're gonna play forty combined games. Well, I'm just
saying if they're healthy.
Speaker 9 (24:58):
Yeah, I mean, look, I think that's like if that's
been Nico Harrison's answer, when we win, you know, the
tune will change. I mean, look, I think Kyrie towards
a cl like he's gonna miss probably half the season
next year. I just think that's gonna that's gonna make
it difficult, you know, to to win at the level
that they need to win at. I mean, I still
think when Lucas here next season, like, well, let's just
(25:20):
say a the NBA put the Lakers in Dallas on
Christmas Day, Like, I think you're gonna hear Mavericks fans
doing the same stuff they did in a well, you know,
next season. I don't think that stuff's going away.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
And I thought it was a bit much with the
I don't know if they erect the statue for everybody
tribute video for everybody handing out T shirts. If I
was uh, if I was Luca, I would have taken
the T shirt and wiped my nose with it.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
I just would have been like, what what what was that?
Did that make any sense to you? Christian?
Speaker 9 (25:53):
I didn't. I didn't think the T shirts made sense.
I did think thanks.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
For everything, thanks for everything we dumped you, and thanks
for everything.
Speaker 9 (26:01):
Yeah, I don't. I didn't get the T shirts. I
think they did have to do a tribute video. I
did think the tribute video was well done. I mean,
I think the most the scene I'll remember most from
that night of the Luca return game is Luca sitting
on the Lakers bench and like tears welling in his
eyes while he's watching his own tribute video. I mean,
you you knew in that moment when he'd said it
(26:22):
he was about to close on a house in Dallas
when he was traded. He wasn't going to leave, you know.
I mean that was that was sure.
Speaker 6 (26:28):
He wasn't going to leave. He's been in line for
three hundred and fifty million dollars. I mean, where were
you going? He couldn't get that from anywhere else. I mean,
like the idea, oh my god, I don't want to
leave Dallas. Well, three hundred and fifty million dollars that
he can't get from anybody else.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
So of course he wants to stay there.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Why you okay, buy a sentiment because sentiment he loved
the city is all he knew he got there as
a teenager.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Let them in and be emotional, Rob, I still don't
buy it. All right?
Speaker 4 (26:57):
How about tonight and ad uh and just the Mavericks,
I mean, can they you know, you question the play
in with a lot of teams under five hundred making
it in, but could they make some.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Noise to you?
Speaker 8 (27:11):
Uh?
Speaker 9 (27:13):
I mean I think they can win these two playing games.
I wouldn't pick them to, but I mean they're definitely
not beat okay, see with them?
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Yeah yeah, yeah no, but I mean, you know, like
win in these or they could get run out of
the building and these in this uh play in?
Speaker 9 (27:26):
Yeah, I think they could beat Zach. I don't know
about Memphis. I mean I think you know the Sack
Dallas game specifically, it's kind of an interesting contrast and styles.
You know, the Mavericks made this trade to play super
big with a d At power forward and Derek Lively
at center and the Kings are small. You know, it's
kind of devar de rozen. You know, I had power
on the wings at power forward, and they got some
(27:47):
bonus in the middle. But you know, the Kings are
a smaller team. The MAVs are a huge team. It's
it's I think this interesting battle of like contrasting styles.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
Yeah, I mean that again, if you're the Mavericks, this
is just a you know, we'll kind of wait till
next season. Kyrie gets healthy, Ad hopefully is fully healthy.
That's what they're banking on. Last thing for me is
even when we move forward next year, is Ad really
the face of this team? And you believe there's still
some things that we made, Like is this really the
(28:17):
team that were rolling out? We got rid of Luca
for this? Is this really is obviously again Kyrie healthy
and Ady healthy, Is this really what they believe in?
Speaker 9 (28:26):
Yeah? I think so. And I mean, honestly, I wouldn't
have done the trade. I don't think they got near
enough if they were going to trade Luca. But I
do think they're a good team when they're healthy. I
mean I really do. I mean I think, like I.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Agree, Yeah, they go together, they go together. These two guys, they're.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
Both injured pushing that's the part I don't get. But
trade Luca to get even more injured God to pair
with the often injured God.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Yeah, but you also think and look that he won
a championship. I'm just saying, I get it. They wanted
to dump them. They had to get something, and that
was it.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
I'm going to get SGA and Edward something. Christian Man,
Thank you, Thanks guys.
Speaker 9 (29:03):
I appreciate having me on, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Christian Clark there covering the Mavericks for the APPS. A
lot of those guys arguing in my ear. He's like, right,
we're got a three way call.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
Is this right now? Got me on here yelling at
me all right? On the way Shekel City see how
robbed it. Plus Times magazine dropped their one hundred most
influential people. There's some people in the sports world on it.
We'll throw some names out. They're on there from the
sports world. Uh here, I am thinking you're gonna get
to one hundred wins before losses, and I'm thinking that's
(29:35):
not the case.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I got one hundred losses now, man, that was a
rough night.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
Then well it might be time to retire it. It's
not yet now yet, It's the I couple. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (30:55):
He knew already ready one and two last night the worst.
That's not the worst, No, you gotta say that. For
er three ninety seven. It can be one hundred is
the total. That'sm ain't right, But I'm still riding it.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Unbelievable. What was going on that day? All right?
Speaker 4 (31:13):
Here we go, Best bet Chicago Bulls minus one and
a half.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Okay, hosting in Miami heat.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
As you know, all of this is on social media
earlier before the games had started. Elijah, Elijah is our
social media guy.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
All right.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
I got the Dallas Mavericks plus four and a half
taking on the Kings in sack Town, which I'll be
it next weekend, not this weekend.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Next weekend, I'm coming up to Sacramento.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
And I got Tampa Bay minus one and a half
hosting the Boston Red Sox. So Tampa Bay raised minus
one and a half runs, Dallas Mavericks plus four and
a half points, and the Chicago Bulls this one and
a half points. And remember Calvin's that I'm not telling you.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Who battle on?
Speaker 6 (32:08):
No, too late, you're wrong. I don't want to hear
the rest. No, you're wrong who I bett on?
Speaker 1 (32:12):
All right? That's funny, all right.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
They put out the Times list of the one hundred
most influential people, and there were some athletes, as you
can imagine, on there, but one of the more prominent
as far as the NFL, of course, biggest sport in
the NFL.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
I'm in the America, in the.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
States, and who do you think was on there it
was Jalen Hurts that was one of the most one
hundred most influential people of twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Four, And did they have like why do they have
a why?
Speaker 6 (32:47):
Oh yeah, you gotta Yeah, so Jalen Well, first of all,
the obvious answer is the biggest sport by far in
America is the NFL, and so Jalen Hurts of course
being the ain'ting Super Bowl champ quarterback would make sense.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
But I'm not gonna lie. When I did hear that name,
I was kind of like I was trying to figure out, like,
influential in what way?
Speaker 4 (33:09):
Yeah, like I would, I would honestly have to question
it and say, I don't like he's a great player.
He seems like a great guy, but I don't understand
other than putting a player's.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Name on a list to draw attention to it.
Speaker 6 (33:23):
He was in the of all things too. It wasn't
like it was in the sport, just simply sports. He
was in the icon section. So they have him broken
up like you know, leaders and this and that, and
he had him in the icon.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
One super Bowl does not make you an icon.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
And Derek Jeter wrote the entry for Hurts, highlighting his
attitude and handling both the highs and lows of his career.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
And I'm gonna quote Derek here.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
Sometimes people win then exhale, and Jalen is not exhaling.
He's embracing the next challenge, win or lose. Jalen's resilience
and determination offer all of us something to admire.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
When do you think about that?
Speaker 4 (34:00):
I I mean, I'm not gonna argue with that because
of what he went through in college. But yeah, I
just when you hear about influential people, it just didn't
register with me.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
And I'm just not looking deeper. Yeah, I guess I'm not.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
He's wearing the dad khaki pants. See, he's bringing khaki
pants back. Did you see that walking in the Super Bowl?
Wearing khakis that you did not think of twenty six
seven year old man would wear.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
When I with a Cago.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
When I at him, though, I thought, did I leave
those at the Philadelphia Marriotte's.
Speaker 6 (34:32):
Let me think y'all around the same height. He's probably
six two, right, I'm six four. This was back when
you were a little heavier too. Yeah, exactly. You know
what that all makes? It might be my khaki and
you did you ever wear kango. Were you a kango guy?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
No, I want a Cago.
Speaker 6 (34:45):
Yeah for some reason we were in high school. That's
the nineties. But uh yeah, so he was on that list.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
So no run DMC from Queens.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
You know, they pretty much brought the king NGOs and
the Adidas yep shelter my Adidas boom boom.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Yeah you know what else the legs shelter though they're
not that comfortable.
Speaker 6 (35:04):
Oh no, no, no, they're too narrow, but they're all set.
They look great. They need to make it just too
narrow to shel toe. Yeah. So a couple other athletes
on the list. Few other athletes. One's a the French person.
One swimmer, but we ain't talking about him, Yeah we we.
(35:24):
Simone Biles on the list makes sense. I mean that
was the Olympics last year, twenty twenty four, and she
is the goat the greatest of all time when it
comes to gymnastics.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
But she was on there because I was gonna say,
Joe Montana, Okay, that's another go guy.
Speaker 6 (35:38):
Yeah, that's another go. We're not talking about that. Oh
so you want to see if Tom Brady's on here too,
please stop? He should be for making thirty seven and
a half million dollars.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
To call a football. You ain't lying about that. Come on, man,
Simone Biles is on here.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
She changed lives by bringing mental health and athletes safety
to the forefront. They say she has transformed gymnastics and
even the sport herself, but the greatest legacy may be
ensuring a better few future for those who follow. And
I do have to give her credit for that as
far as speaking up saying she had the whatever the
gymnastics version of the yips and uh, working through it,
coming back and dominating in twenty twenty four in the Olympics.
(36:11):
So she's on there. Serena Williams was on there as well.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
On the list.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
These are all the Titans category that they're both on there.
So yeah, I'm trying to think is there any other
athlet I mean, you could convince me just based off
all the stuff he does, Lebron will be on there.
I'm trying to think who else in the NFL world
could be on there? Current influential I'm just surprised wouldn't
(36:37):
be Patrick. I mean, he's a winner, but all of
a sudden, Patrick's not on that list.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
He was to be.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
I mean, if you're talking influential, now, that would be
one that actually makes who his girlfriend is Daggan. Is
he influential or is she influential?
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Well, their podcast is big, New Heights him and Jason
their podcast is huge.
Speaker 6 (36:58):
So Pat McAfee, your boy steven A better be on
his list. Considering two things. One honeed meal that happened
after the year, But two, I just feel like I
have to run.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
What's up with that? You are you about to be
vice president? No, I'm not.
Speaker 6 (37:16):
If stephen A runs for president. You heard it first
breaking news.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Alex, there's no breaking news.
Speaker 6 (37:23):
Stephen A is gonna run for president and Rob Parker
it will be his vice presidential candidate.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
We're ready to report that. Want'll be your campaign
