The infirmary with some issues, outbreaks or you know what
I mean, or somebody's pregnant or something.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
You wanst to love them. It wasn't COVID boat, you know,
saw the ships out seat got stuck out there for
two weeks. I was on a boat, the Golden Girls cruise.
When COVID hit. I was on a boat shoot because
that age group.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
And when I got off, I couldn't believe they let
us off. In Miami, I ran for the hills. Like
before they called me back.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Have my bag. I ran out and got into a taxi.
What month in twenty twenty was No, it was right
when it hit.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Matter of fact, before I came back to LA they
told me don't come in.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
You remember that I was pissed. Rob was hot. I
was hot at Fox Sports.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yes, they were making it like, oh he's a carrier,
he was on a cruise, all that. And you know what, Alex,
all those people who were complaining, they all got COVID.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Rob Parker, knock on Wood did not get COVID zero.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
All of those people were belly aching and crying that
I was coming in. They all got.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
See look how you look at it as it was
an indictment on you. It wasn't whip Ryan the flip?
Is you usoul to be grateful? You didn't come in? Hey, Rob,
goodness see you? No man paying Number three I'm just saying.
I'm just saying, but anyway, that'd been bad on a
Golden Girl's cruise. If everybody got sick, that'd have been

(04:09):
I don't think the percentage of people who made it
would have been very low because the average as was
what seventy three wasn't like that. There were a lot
of younger people, you know, they were robbing the cradle.
Talking to you, you were the youngest person on that boat.
You were rob because you were in your let's do
the math. You were in your fifties. I don't think

(04:30):
there were many in their fifties. I think you were robbing.
I think you you were getting what's after a cougar,
because I mean cougar you generally think of like forties
fifty date the younger dude. You know what I found
out though?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Another Oh it's come on, man, can you at least
make it to rob J gets back. Oh okay, okay,
see see I heard what he said off the air, guys,
and I'm just just saying that, I'm so glad he
chose to keep that off the No.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Way you could say that on air, No way you
could sell right. I just wanted to make sure Alex
the pitch. I do know you were breaking some pelvics,
That's all I know. I thought I was doing some business,
you know what I'm saying. And then I realized she
had alopecia. That's why our hair was all over the place.
Look look at once Mancy. I woke up.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I was like, man, I must have been going crazy
last life hair everywhere.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
She said, I have alopecia. I said, okay, okay, I
got you will swiss mine. You didn't think that's why
she had three wigs on the night stand. All right,
I'm stopping right, Monty.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
The best thing about going to the Scrooge Monty knows
she was there for my debut, okay.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Is that you don't have to worry about getting anybody pregnant.
That the best not at all? Right, save money on Conner. Okay,
let's go, let's start the show. I don't even know
where where do we go? Let's go? No, no, no,
let me welcome in my partner here thinks I've been.
I think we've all been welcome. Okay, that's wronging man.
We wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without them.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Alex is our engineer, Ryan is our producer in for
Rob g. Monte Bolanos is at the anchor desk. She'll
keep us updated throughout the program. Never heard of them,
never heard of them, never heard of them. And Elijah,
I got it all right, Elijah is our social media guru.
Edits let's get here, let's go right here. NBA playoffs.

(06:25):
About the kick off, right, and uh, you know it's
the uh Lakers, And what am I thinking? They're the
number three seed and against the number six seed, right,
the Timberwolves. And uh, you know, I'm gonna say this
as we go into the playoffs and they don't start
till Saturday, right, which we'll be here before you know it. No,

(06:46):
Jamorro's Friday and then we'll be there. But I'm looking
at this and I'm starting to say that if the
Lakers don't get to the NBA Finals, the season will
be a failure, a total failure. And I'm looking at

(07:07):
the players they have because Luca went to the finals
last year and Lebron is still playing at a high level.
Austin Reves is now a player that you can count on.
There's three players, and the teams that are one and
two in the Western Conference are newbies Houston at number two,

(07:30):
basically a newbie. They got a veteran coach.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Oka.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
See, they got a star, Shay is a star. But
newbies Denver fired its coach. They won a championship a couple
years ago. The Clippers, you never know where they are,
who's in the way. If Lebron and Luca are who
they say they are and JJ Reddick is a genius.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
The first two I was like, Okay.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
The Lakers have to with the Capitol h get to
the NBA Finals. Anything short is a failure.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Is it gonna be? No way, It'll be next year
because Lebron will be older. Oh oh really, and Luca will.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Be heavier after the offseason. I'm just saying, I'm dead serious.
It's finals or buss. The Lakers have to get there.
If they don't, I'm pointing a finger at Luca, I'm
pointing a finger at Lebron, I'm pointing a finger.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
At JJ Reddick. And they better not lose to the
Timberwolves in the first round.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
They better not, because then I'm pouring gasoline all over
the place.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
And I gotta match in my pocket. Let me stand
back then, if that's what we're doing, here on this Thursday,
despite your passion and energy on it, I disagree with
my brother, and I tell you a couple of reasons why.
Number One, they don't have any real time together Luca
and Lebron. They literally have been making this thing happen
on the fly. They've been figuring each other out, figuring

(09:17):
out the flow of the team, figuring out how what
they do best. So they've been trying to go at
this new Also, you me, Ryan, Moncei, Alex, all of
us have been disrespectful of the Oklahoma City Thunder, including myself,
But when you really look at it, you start to
look a little deeper into the numbers. The real disappointment

(09:38):
would be the Oklahoma City Thunder if they don't make
it to the finals. Because let's be students of history.
There have been a handful of teams who have won
sixty eight games or more, and most of them, except
for one, made it to the finals all but the
one loss. And we know who that was.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
That's the old time team win the most games in
the regular season.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Wait say that, what, Oh, they won exactly, that's the
team that lost in seven games. So but they got
to the finals before them. We're talking about the Warriors.
Done of those other team twenty sixteen that.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Won sixty eight games, had such a young team as
ok se actually.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Seventy two to ten, they won the finals. The Lakers
back in seventy one won the finals. The Bulls again
in ninety six ninety seven won sixty nine games, won
the finals. The sixty six to sixty seven seventy Sixs
won the finals. The only one that didn't get to
the finals was the Boston Celtics back in seventy two
to seventy three. So to me, that's a scapegoat for

(10:38):
the Oklahoma City Thunder. You guys won sixty eight game
dominant fashion. The win margin was huge. It was like
a double digit. They were beating everybody's butts all season long.
Good teams, bad team, Western Conference, Eastern Conference. So gues.
If you're the Lakers, that's your goal to get the finals.
But it's not a failure if you don't. To me,
if I'm the Oklahoma City Thunder and I'm looking back

(11:01):
at history, we're supposed to be to the finals and
have a great shot to win it because only one team.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
That Kelvin You don't even maybe that there's nobody on
that team that's remotely close to Luca and Lebron playing together,
coming together, and the idea that you would say that
it's not theirs to win tells me about their legacy
and what you believe, because you're telling me that those
two guys, those two guys, all time greats, yes, are

(11:28):
gonna acquiesce to a young budget of players, and that
they shouldn't feel like they should get to the final.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
If I get in the Deloreo and I go back
five years with you and Lebron is thirty five or something,
now I'm one thousand percent with you, one hundred million
percent with you. If this is a thirty twenty five
years old I'm talking about Luca, I'm saying, if I
have a that twenty five year old Luca and even
a thirty six year old Lebron, one thousand percent on

(11:54):
with you. But I'm not gonna just all of a
sudden excuse. I like the Lakers to beat them, but
if I'm Oklahoma City Thunder, they should not beat us.
We have been here, we played in the postseason last season.
We have the MVP who's looked like he's gonna win it,
and we have a really great cast around him. So
why is it skipped on them that they shouldn't when

(12:15):
history has shown us you win sixty eight games, your
butt is in the finals, and five out of the
six times you win the finals. Now, when you have
two all.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Time greats on the same roster with an inexperienced team,
you you're just looking at the win.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Told you got the complete team, the Thunder are better. Listen,
I'm picking.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Nobody's picking the Thunder despite them winning all those games
and their defense to win the championship.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
And I'm talking about they.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Would pick Cleveland, So would pick Cleveland or Boston before
they would pick, Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Boston, who I pick? I think Boston is the best
team the Western Conference finals for the Lakers. That's to me,
the minimum that is, Okay, we made it to the
Western Conference finals. Check that box. Now let's compete and
try to get to the finals. But I don't think
it's a failure. Keep in mind, that's what we're starting
this with. You said a failure, total fil a total failure,

(13:09):
total fail Absolutely not a total failure if they don't
make it, especially knowing I had a few months with
Luca in Lebron that's it, and I got a whole
season now where they can bounce back. I can go
get some bigs. I can go get another defender and
have a better shot next year. I don't think it's
a failure at all.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. If
the Lakers don't get to the NBA Finals, will it
be a total failure? I say yes. Kelvin says no.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
What do you say? We want to hear from you next.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Yoh man? How long are we today?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
We are good? Are great?

Speaker 5 (15:12):
So failure? Would you guys say it's a bigger failure
or equal or less of a failure than not one,
not two, not three, not four, not eleven, not one
hundred and sixty two three. Bigger failure.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Yes, I know that team was supposed to win a
lot more than they did. I'll tell you that. I
gotta go. They were supposed to go three, the first one,
I know. That's the one. That's the one right there.
They were supposed to go three. The Spurts meet them.
That last one, all right, fine, but that first one
they were supposed to win. Let's go to.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Mike Michael in Virginia. You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Michael?

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Hey, guys, love the show, Thank you, brother, appreciate it.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
And I'll get I'll get straight to the point. So
is it going to be a bigger failure for the
Lakers not making the finals? Or is there gonna be
a bigger failure for the Warriors. I'm making a final
scene how they traded for Jimmy Butler playoff buckets.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I'm just saying, no, it's not because Luca is a
All people talk about is how great and the Lakers
stole them and oh my god, you got an international
star five times all NBA.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
No, Jimmy Butler's not Luca.

Speaker 7 (16:24):
Yeah he's not bothering, but well, he plays his best
for the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Okay, how many?

Speaker 3 (16:28):
How many?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
How many championships did Jimmy Butler have playing his best
in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (16:34):
Tomb by himself for the finals.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
I'm just asking you, Ain't nobody have the same pressure.
Luca has more pressure than Jimmy Butler. I'm sorry, Ain't
nobody have to lift the clippers? I mean, if the
Warriors don't win, they'll just be like they weren't that good?
Sean and Sacramento. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Sewan?

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Yeah, my mother kills it and my brother's behind the bar.
Man Jesus Robert Parker, I thought it was gonna be
the oddball come tomorrow, because man, them.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
Seven years or six years whenever you got left in
your contracting flames with that opening monologue.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Buh, hey, you didn't even Hey, sure you didn't know
what You didn't even hear the best one that he
took the mic off.

Speaker 8 (17:18):
Alex heard of his keep today. Man, two seas they
didn't have on that Golden Girls cruise. Jerry Harriston Junior
and Bobby's scale. Because that's an Inside the Parker exclusive
this week.

Speaker 9 (17:29):
If you ain't already.

Speaker 8 (17:29):
Subscribed to download. Man, go ahead and peep that YouTube
coming soon. But I'm on this Lakers tip, Rob quiitn
being so dramatic.

Speaker 9 (17:37):
Man, You know this is not a failure.

Speaker 8 (17:41):
Ain't even thirty years old talking about it's a complete failure.
My man had plenty of time to win the championship.
But from Lebron, every year he's in the league from
this point on without the championship is a failure because
he's making this ratio of wins losses bigger and bigger
and bigger. I agree with you on that, but I
gotta agree my man Killvin today the like there's got
plenty of.

Speaker 9 (18:01):
Time to win with Luca Lebron.

Speaker 8 (18:02):
You on the shot plot brush all right.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
I don't no denying that, but you give me They're
not a failure. They don't get there.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Come on, Rob, Tony in DC, you're on they couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
What up, Tony?

Speaker 8 (18:14):
Is this thing on?

Speaker 5 (18:16):
This is one of the worst takes Kelvin has had,
and he has even been on.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
The show for years.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
We need to renegotiate your an Niodu, Kelvin, they traded.

Speaker 9 (18:27):
For Luca don tricks, not Luca.

Speaker 10 (18:30):
That lives on the second floor.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
It's an eighty song, Kelvin.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
We're nice, Okay, I know the song, Tony, Tony. They
traded for Luca for how many years? They got Luca
for years? Okay, they got looking for six months.

Speaker 9 (18:46):
Kelvin, Kelvin.

Speaker 10 (18:47):
As soon as the Lakers lose, it'll be you, Oh
Shanny sharp Nick, right, well, what happened.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Exactly? That's right, thanks, Tony. Appreciate the call. Joe in
Saint Louis, the baseball capital off the United States?

Speaker 2 (19:10):
What's up? Joe?

Speaker 8 (19:11):
Alright?

Speaker 10 (19:12):
What else? What's man? It's cool. I don't know where
he got Joe from. But oh, I'm gonna talk about
his credit with your long career to ESPN and everything
by watching since the early two thousands. But God, having
some terrible take. It's no way that the Legas could

(19:32):
be a failure. They had Luca for New York minute.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm trying to tell him a failure. I'm just saying,
look at it. Who's in front of them, who's there
to stop them? They're not gonna get it. What do
you mean a team that just won't nobody?

Speaker 10 (19:46):
They got they got the number one, they got the
MVP with Nda and exactly they.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Got nothing that you know what? Wait, why is your
man Joker just getting the pass? He's supposed to be
the five times should have five MVPs. Why is he
getting the pass? Why are you did they just their coach?
What I said the m v P every year, I said,
next to you go the m v P should be Yoki,
m v P should be uppy. Now he ain't even

(20:12):
in this conversation you.

Speaker 10 (20:13):
Got you got hard and kawhi that like the Clippers,
ain't no shot, no bums either. It's I mean, it's
hits toughing the Wes. It ain't gonna be no cakewalk,
but it's not a.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Failure whatever, Keys spitting facts, Thank you, Coop a ka Joe.
I don't know what we got that from in New Orleans.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
You'ing the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio MJ talk
some sense and knowledge into Kelvin.

Speaker 11 (20:34):
Please, yes, sir, yes, sir, Come long man. I have
to side with Professor Park on this one. Luca that
died was not stolen in the middle of knife in
Big b or w CF apparent, but Brian James is
number two according to Stevens screaming a Smith, I don't
want to hear the party now because he can't have
it both ways. And the hes word the ultimate five

(20:59):
time Big three five players in their particular Uh, what
do you call in their fly?

Speaker 2 (21:08):
What the heatles got to do? Many way? You're having
a match of the tea or whatever it's called right
now sitting at home?

Speaker 3 (21:13):
What that?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
What did the heatos have to do anything? You lucky?
I like you, MJ and that were now there in
New Orleans having po boys. That's about it all right? Uh,
we got Eric at home getting ready to join us.
We'll talk to NFL's draft with him, but right now
it's Moncey Belano is getting ready to tell you what's trending? Monty,
what's happening? How are you quiet with your little clippers?
Mod No?

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Monts Like, Yeah, I don't know what Robi saying.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
I don't know what Rob saying, but it's fine. I
mean it's fine. We need do we need a Rob interpreter?
Is that what's going on here? I just think they
Rob right now, you're you're writing on on the names.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
You're just you're just saying because it's Lebron, because it's Luca, when.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
In reality, aside from those two in Austin Reeves. They
are not They are not stacked like other like three
guys usually get it done, is what I'm saying in
the NB. But they're the other teams that have three
guys and then they have a center and then.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
So if they get knocked down in the first round,
people will be like, Okay, yeah, Minnesota's got a team.
Is that?

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Is that what's going to happen? I gotta see the
series though it's a great seventh No, no, if.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
They lose in the first round, I agree with what
you are implying that if the Lakers lose, the conversation
is not going to be the Timberwolves.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Will not not be that We're not That is not
the conversation. It will be what but the timber But
the timber was actually you could what Up until the
last month and a half or so, they were underachieving,
like we expected more than they're playing better now. I'm saying,
that's my point that they're the West top really good,
have been under achieving. I want Monty to say Timberwolves

(22:42):
because I like the way she said again, timber Wolves, Timberwolves,
timber Wolves. I don't hear it. I don't now, you're
too conscious. We got to catch you saying she says
it Wolves timber Wolves is kind of silent, all right.

Speaker 3 (22:57):

NFL draft analysts for NFL Media, Eric Underscore at Home
on X Go ahead and give them a follow. Eric,
what's going on now?

Speaker 4 (23:42):
You doing?

Speaker 2 (23:43):
What's happening?

Speaker 9 (23:44):
Ah, gentlemen, hope you're doing well. We're a week out.
I don't know what to believe and what not to believe.
I was going to an exciting time, right.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, I mean people need to generate something. You can't
say everything you go to stay the same, just your
gut right off the bat. I know, I guess the
Giants had a I would work out with Chador. What
do you expect Chador to go in the draft?

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Head?

Speaker 9 (24:08):
That's the question right now, that's the million dollar one.
I would say he's not going third. I feel pretty
confident saying that. You know, I can't of course saying
but I don't think he's going third. I think they'll
take either abdual Carter, you know, or or work out
some kind of a trade up there for something else.
But you know, they have that high second round pick,

(24:30):
so does Cleveland. You know, Cleveland's obviously lurking as well
for quarterbacks. And you know, the two other interesting quarterback
factors I guess you'd say are the Derek Carr injury
in New Orleans and what you guys talked about in
the update there Aaron Rodgers saying I'm not sure. I'm
not sure what's going to happen next. I don't have
a timetable. You know, does that scare the Steelers at

(24:53):
number twenty one? Into some kind of action. Uh, if
Shador is still lurking, you know, do do the Saints
pull a trigger on a quarterback? And is it schuur?
I mean, there's been some Jackson dark smoke around them.
So my best guess would be somewhere between the twenty
first pick with the Steelers and somewhere in the trade

(25:14):
up zone that could involve either, you know, the Giants
or maybe the Saints if they don't take a quarterback
in the first round, So kind of somewhere in that
late first early second round range.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
If I had to guess, how about Travis Hunter, I
want to say Travis Henry?

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Yeah, well I did know why. But Hunter, what do
you expect him to go? Is is he for sure
tour or you have no idea? Or three or four? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (25:43):
No, I think I think he's going to be the
picket too. And that just feels like there was a
shift kind of even before the pro day at Colorado.
We saw Jimmy Haslam and the whole contingent out there
and just all the positive comments they've had about Hunter,
and you know, I kind of breaking bread with Dion

(26:05):
and making sure that that you know, everyone's on the
same page and everything, and it felt like a very
cordial thing and it felt like a future union there.
So you know, how they employ him is really going
to be fascinating. Obviously, they've got some talent at corner.
You know, they've got some players that they've used high
round draft picks on and but haven't had great health.

(26:25):
Thereat had great consistency at some times, so I think
he's going a factor on a defense. But as you
saw it the Pro day, I mean, dude was out
there catching passes. He wasn't doing DV drills. He wants
the ball in his hands, and I know he's insisting
on this two way thing, but I think if there's
a slant, it could be more offensive and less defensive,

(26:45):
even though some teams have it the other way around.
I can't wait to find out, not.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
All of us, me and Rob both, we can't wait
to see. That's a great compliment to him, that he's
so talented that some teams, oh, he's mostly going to
be dB for us, the other team is a he's
mostly being a wide receiver front. That just shows how
great he is, And especially when we saw him with
no gloves catching them. Nobody does that anymore with the
sticky gloves.

Speaker 9 (27:06):
He's the top receiver and the top cornerback, two premium positions.
These aren't like you know, right guard and tight end right,
I mean the two premium positions in the NFL. He
is probably, without a doubt, the top candidate or top
prospect at both positions.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
I mean incredible.

Speaker 9 (27:25):
I just don't know we've seen anything quite like him.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
He is Eric at home. He is joining us now
NFL draft analysts for NFL media. Let me ask you,
I don't know if you knew this, Eric, there are
other people in the draft besides the Colorado dudes.

Speaker 8 (27:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I don't know if you knew.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
I want to go to.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
One of them was a Heisman candidate, was a heck
of a running back, very confident young man, ashing gents.
A lot of people have him moving up a little bit.
And I think Rob and I said here, all last
NFL season we were clapping our hands and excited the
fact that the running back is back.

Speaker 9 (27:57):
Right.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
You know, I had Christi McCaffrey before the injury, but
he was obviously doing his things. Josh Jacobs, Uh Henry,
I mean, so on and so forth down the line,
and obviously say Kwon Barkley being incredible. So my point is,
how important was that season? You know where team's gotta go. Oh,
the running game is back. And now for genty being
one of the best backs in this draft.

Speaker 9 (28:17):
Yeah, I've always felt like, you know, when we you know,
ten years ago or whatever, we went to this sort
of space age passing game and you know, average quarterbacks
were getting five thousand yard seasons.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Ray.

Speaker 9 (28:28):
Yeah, I said, at some point it's gonna shift back
the other way because you know, you load up with
with dime defenses and everything and light fronts, and guess
what people are gonna bring their heavy packages in. And
I think there's a marriage there with the quarterback run
game too. I mean that's obviously kind of flourished in
the last few years. But to your point, yes, we
saw running backs in featured roles. I would even throw

(28:50):
in Bucky Irving at the end of the year down
to Tampa, you know, fourth round pick who expeeded expectations
as a number of other teams too.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
I mean you saw the Lions with their two backs.

Speaker 9 (28:59):
Yeah, how good was that? I mean that was one
of the reasons why Ben Johnson became the head coach
of the Bears was because of how greative he was
with their offense. So one hundred percent with you love Jenty.
You know, don't know that if he's a Ladanian Tomlinson
type of talent, like I've heard some people suggest that's
a little rich for me, but man, I would put

(29:20):
him right up there with Bijon as you know, among
the best backs we've seen since Sakuon come out of
the draft, and you know, a little bit thought off
at five point eight, but boy, he runs with some power.
I mean, he's got some amazing tackle breaking ability, and
you know, I think the conversation with him starts at
number six with Vegas, and I mean I've heard some whispers,

(29:43):
hey maybe Jacksonville is five, but boy, I haven't heard
enough to really feel that's going to happen. But yeah,
I mean they have a big decision at six, and
then he may not last too long after that. I
mean Chicago and Dallas at ten and twelve I think
would be teams that have you know, had a lot
of interest. And I'll just throw this out there. Can
you imagine him? And we've seen you know, Sean Payton

(30:05):
work with all kinds of backs, but put him in Denver.
I mean they have a feeling quietly that they're very
close to being something, right, you know, the West contender.
I just keep an eye on the Broncos. I don't
know if they'll have enough to trade up or get
in range of them, but I'm sure they love him

(30:26):
all right.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
One last thing. We got about forty five seconds.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Give me a name of somebody you know, a sleeper
in a draft or if somebody smart enough they grab
this guy.

Speaker 9 (30:36):
Yeah, two guys real quick. Andrew mccooba, a safety out
of Texas. He just really grew on me with his
play style. He's a little on the smaller side, but
there's some good smaller safeties in the class with Billy
Bowman junior in Oklahoma. So those two guys really caught
my eye. And then Mason Taylor, the tight end out
of LSU. I mean, you know Jason Taylor's kid. Obviously

(30:56):
he's got NFL bloodline. It's not bad having zex promised
the father in law too. But he is a uh Castle,
easy moving tight end. I mean he's got balanced around
the sidelines, great hands, natural receiver. In a couple of
years he could be something special.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
All right, we'll watch out for him too. You're at home,
that's right. The draft a week away, man, it's gonna
get real. Here's some knowledge, my man. Appreciate you.

Speaker 8 (31:22):
I love having you on.

Speaker 9 (31:23):
Thanks man, appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
No problem yet, one week away and of course again
you'll you talked about it. Rob. We'll be on for
an hour or so and then you listen to the
first round here on Fox Hopes. Forget to get your
hour full of the Odd Couple though those right, No,
no angle, forget about that. All right? Shekel city on
the way. How did my man, Rob Fair? We're gonna

Speaker 3 (32:09):

Speaker 2 (32:10):
You want see bis gift foot be from me?

Speaker 3 (32:14):
From you?

Speaker 2 (32:15):
The car of touch?

Speaker 1 (32:16):
What to say?

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Thank you for being a face alone around me. I'm
just saying I got goose bumps. We get in the
show MONSI was in there rocking out like she just
won her volleyball tournament. I mean, it's that's a bag
like we literally you can't Alex. We got you lost

(32:40):
right when you did the volleyball. Did you lose on Tuesday? Yes,
I lost. I won one match, lost the other two. Yeah,
we were down to five players like Shekel City. Yeah,
I was mad.

Speaker 11 (32:52):
We're down to We're down to five players.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
So we won one. All right. You almost hang on
the door real quick, Alex. You can only play that
one at the end, that one like that at the end. Cheers, cheers.
But that's the banger right there, all right, I mean
I get it. You know everybody knows your name, all right.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Did you do MAXI did you called? Did you do
the Manzi? One and two? One and two? I was
a mana manzi. That's right last night, Monzy, I was
right with you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Hey, the Lakers are
playing who in the first round? Monzi?

Speaker 6 (33:54):
The Wolves?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Temple, timpleble Wolves, All right, Timple, Here we.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Go Timberwolves tonight, best bet Mets minus one and a half.
They are hosting the Saint Louis Cardinals. Yankees minus one
and a half. They were in Tampa Bay taking on
the Rays and the Doors tired as we speak. And
of course I got the Los Angeles Angels plus one
and a half.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Who they were in Texas? The Los Angeles Angels, I
didn't know they existed anymore. Plus one and a half
at Texas.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Uh So there we go Yankees minus one and a
half and the New York Metropolitans minus one and a half.
And remember, Calvin, what's that. I'm not telling you who
to bet on, I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Yeah, we were nervous for a minything, you know where
he was going, uh what that? Just quickly side note,
just because I jokingly said the who and you said
the Angels. Is it disappointing that one of the best players,
not just of his generation ever is just in the abyss?

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Well you and it's been hurt though. I mean, he's
finally playing this year, got six home runs. The team
is doing well. But that's my point, like he six,
he's doing what Mike Trott does and like he's.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Still about one. No one cares.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
The only thing I'll disagree with and I didn't realize
this until I really looked at it. If the Mets
almost wor were you know, making a loss to the
Dodgers right in the playoffs with a chance to go
to the NLC. Yes, the Angels outdrew the Mets last year.

(35:29):
Can you believe that, Like the Angels have a fan
they have a fan base like Orange County and it's
a whole different place. It's it's not Los Angeles, Los Angeles,
but you know that they just did that for money
on television and connected to l A.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
I know, but you know what I'm saying. You know
that that's a different That's the first that's where me
and you went, We went to Angel that Tiger game. Yeah,
that was a long time ago. This is unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
That was.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
But I just think about that, like man, like you
and I see there every night and we watch Aaron
Judge and you know what I mean. We we sit
up here, we watch Mookie and show him. We sit
up here, we watch with and and we watched just
all these great players. We watched the match to see
Juan Solo. That was a good so so so so
so is really good. That's a good one. We can't
get into that too. Is is it too early? It's

(36:15):
too early? But he strugg because if Mars and looked
in the middle of April last year, just like who's
this guy? Yeah, and then he had an unbelievable five months.
My point is though, like man, he's so good, he
being like trying, like we just no one talks about him.
It's crazy. And when he was really good, he just

(36:35):
he's not. He didn't have a personality like that. He
really he really does. He doesn't. And I agree, I
can't make everybody do that. But it's just like Mann
for the personality. You know what I'm saying. I'm just saying,
you made his head go bal no, I mean the
bet yeah yeah, just he's so good and no one cares,

(36:57):
no one watches. It's sad.
