And everybody says the same thing.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Oh, laugh out loud.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
The baby oil and they're like, oh, where's this cigarette?
Where's a pack of smokes? I need baby oil? I
do you know? For my body? You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
The moisture, rob, Bet, you look mighty dry right now.
You ain't using it. You ain't using it on your
whole body.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
That's what the that's what the body of the baby
oil is. Whoever came up with that. It's the greatest name,
baby oil, right, there's something about it. Why don't we
have woman oil or man oil?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
No, I'm serious, wires baby oil great. Yeah, baby, it's
because we eat baby oil. I don't like if I
say man oil. It's just unsound right.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
The problem is you're using baby oil as man oil.
There is the problem. There lies the problem, Rob, I
need woman oil. Well if one could you know what
this is? Let's just move on, Okay. The point is
beautiful oil. You can smell them like Rob G's dealing
with right, the baby.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Oil on them. It sounds right, It goes together man oil.
The problem is I don't need man oil. Just doesn't
sound right.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
What if that man give you that man oil? Alex
can ask you a question. You've been working with him
for a long time right here? Why does he never
know his own voice?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
It doesn't sound like.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
We literally do this at least twice a week around
you play it, it doesn't sound I don't think.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I sound like that man oil. Do your friend sound right?
Do your headphones work? Do you know what you sound like?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
You know what like? Right now?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I hear Kelvin, I hear k Dub, I hear me,
I know Elvin? Why do you never know what you're sound?
Manti does this at least two to three times a week?
Or do something crazy, Alex will pull the sound oil?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Is that me? Alex? It doesn't sound like me.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Alex pull up when he's done recently, so you can
go that doesn't sound was that me?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
It doesn't sound like me. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
And the best part is who just did it twenty
seconds ago? It's not like it was two weeks ago.
But it doesn't sound I don't think I soundles bad. Well,
unfortunately I sit next to you every day and that
does sound just like my bone.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Her first name? What has a second name? I love
to eat it?

Speaker 6 (04:12):
And we did.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
And if you asked me why, I'll say Oscar had
them away with beyond?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, I had a did that sound like?

Speaker 7 (04:26):
You know?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
It is what it is?

Speaker 8 (04:31):
All right?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Oh boy? All right? We saw Let's get there.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Aaron Rodgers spoke today on the Pat McAfee show.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Had everybody on the show, you, Adam Silver, he had everybody,
got Lee.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I never missed Pat fact McAfee, just they had it
on the TV. As I walked by a spectrum today.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Good and Aaron Rodgers, Uh, I'll let you go because
I heard what he said. I understand he's forty one
years old and he's trying to consider and figure out
what he wants to do in life. And it makes
total sense to me now because everyone, of course thought
he was holding people hostage and all this other stuff.

(05:12):
But go ahead, what did you take away from them?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Well, he said a lot and a couple of things,
obviously on his way out talking about the Jets. That
was funny though, and he said they flew me out
just for twenty minutes to go, Hey, how do you
feel you want to play football?

Speaker 8 (05:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I think so. Cool.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Well, we're gonna let you go. So that was kind
of funny for him, talking about how the Jets played him.
Aaron glennon the whole new regime there, but he talked
about this as well as talking about the idea of
trying to figure out what he wants and also letting
the Steelers know a little some something have listen.

Speaker 9 (05:40):
Listen this entire time, I haven't felt like I owed
anybody some sort of decision at any point. This is
my life. Like I said, things are different now. My
life is different. My personal life is different. Stuff in
the inner circle that you know, I'm intimately close to
that it's really important to me. And I've been upfront

(06:02):
with him about that and said, listen, if you need
to move on, if you need to do something a
boy all means by all means like nothing but love
and respect. If that's a decision that needs to be made.
But there's been no deadline, and uh, and yeah, I've
talked to I've talked to Mike Team many times.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Couple things for me, Rob, Number one, that sounds like
somebody who's taking the fourth option that I was giving you.
Guys we were talking about this when they were like,
is he go to Minnesota? Is he go back to
the Giant? Are you going to the Giants? Stay in
New York? Or does he go to the Steelers? And
I said, Rob, there's a fourth option nobody's talking about,
and that is Aaron Rodgers retiring.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
And I said that.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Then it was like no, Everybody's like no, why not?
Not even in a negative way. Dude, He's literally one
of the best quarterbacks we've ever seen. He has four MVPs,
he has a Super Bowl ring like, he's Aaron Rodgers
an amazing career. It's okay to call it a career.
And the more I listened to him, the more he
sounds like personal life, spending time at home, spending time

(07:04):
with the family and then you tell somebody, hey, look,
go do what you want to do. If you got
to get somebody else, get somebody else. This sounds like
Aaron Rodgers is done with football, And again that's not
a bad or negative thing.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Do that.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
One of the greatest career, one of the best quarterbacks
we've ever seen, and if this is something calling it quits,
then he can call it quits.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I think. For me.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
The other side to this, too, is what are the
Steelers doing that They're sitting here literally.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
With no quarterback right now.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Like they have DK Metcalf, they have pigins have receiver
like am I missing something? So now they don't have
a quarterback. He doesn't sound like he wants to play
football at this point. I'm just blown away again by
how they've handled this and put themselves in a position
where they have now a star receiver, another good receiver,
and nobody to throw the football to waiting on him,

(07:51):
who sounds like it's still mulling things around, still trying
to figure it out.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Ultimately sounding like to.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Me, he don't want to play football again, which is
actually okay. After being forty one it played football for
nearly half your life in the pros.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
That's not what I heard.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I heard a person trying to make a life decision
at forty one years old, whether you want to crank
it up again. And what he said to the Steelers
is the reason why they're still waiting, because he told
them you can go ahead and sign somebody else, or
do if you have like a time deadline.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
This is free agency. The draft hasn't even taken place.
There's no rush.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Everybody as mad because he hasn't decided on their timetable.
It's called free agency. There's other free agents who haven't
signed either. Aaron Rodgers isn't the only one. And if
the Steelers really did not want him, they could have.
There were other quarterbacks out there. They could have signed
Jameis Winston or or kept justin fields that they really

(08:55):
believed that that was it. No, in life, we wait
for stuff we really want. Good things come to those
who wait. Everything.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
You don't have to rush.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
And the Steelers are like, we can get a quarterback
if we need to, if it doesn't work.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Out, what is the what is the number one thing?
What are the things we talk about? No, but you
you don't have a quarterback. You don't have nothing. No,
that's if that's what you say. That we all know that.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
But my point is that if it comes push to shove,
there's always there's always a trade you can make.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
There's somebody on a roster.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
You don't want to win, somebody. No, you don't want
to win. No, But I'm saying to you that you're trying.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Like it's a small forward and like we just go
get a guy. We can get a wing d guy.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
They don't have They don't have a game for five
or six months, like you make it like.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Because we're supposed to be training and working at summer
camps and quarterbacks and we're receivers right now.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
No, you don't. There is none.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
And I'm telling you that this makes total sense to me.
And that's why while you're fretting and you're making it big.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Thing that oh always me he's holding.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Him.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
If he signs with them, they won't they want him.
They've made it abundantly clear. He already talked about Howes
talked to Mike Tomlin a number of times, and they've
been in conversation. And my point only is that this
is someone who's even mentioned and this is where people
don't know and don't have the backstory, and and you

(10:29):
can assume all you want that always just being a
prima donna. You could go back and play all the
tapes and all the talking heads talking about Aaron Rodgers
holding him hostage, being a prima donna and this and that,
but nobody talked about, you know, issues he's having in
his private life that people just take for granted that
because you don't make a snap decision, you're a prima.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Donna, right right?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
That sounded first of all, that was very nice of you,
considering Luca can spend time with the team and can't
cry after just spending on a team and go back
and he can't cry.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
But Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Different can be going through personal anything he can go
who couldn't win anything.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Aaron Rodgers ain't want nothing. Since people was in high school.
He already won. He he already won a championship. He won,
It doesn't matter. He won.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Luke didn't win, Jack, what are you crying about? In Dallas?
They dumped you, That's what they did.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
He want to cry because this is the city, the
environment to hold the people that I miss But Aaron.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Rodgers missed the breaking and.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
He missed the red beans and rice at Pope's and
and I'm what do you mean, what do you miss?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
He missed people just like I would hope you'd miss Alex,
who spent on a time with and Rob and Ryan
and Monty and me and Rob. G. You spend time
with people you get to know, Alex. Peace out, Alex.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
You better.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
I know you are emotional, brother, Alex. You would be
if you would miss not at all, you would miss him,
You'd like peace. I'd be like Rob, like, no offense
to my mom.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
But she passed. I'm working the next day exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Okay, Well, y'all ain that ain't how we doing, Mama
dub right here, Mama dub, y'all ain't seeing.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Me for a week, can I I'll be honest, I'm
I pull a curt back. I worked on first take
when my mom died. I absolutely did. And my thing
is that's just the way I operate. And everybody's different.
And I knew deep in my heart, and I nobody

(12:25):
knew until after the show and then that they looked
at me and were like, I can't even believe.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
That it happened, because you I said, I had a
job to do.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
I was gonna do it and then they'll come my
time for grieving and all that. But I did work.
That's just everybody's cutting everybody's I hear you. That's what
I'm saying. It doesn't make you a bad person. I'm
just saying everybody has to Everybody's different. Some people go
into a shell and they're gonna cry for four months,
you knowing, other people.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
They got to keep pushing.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I get that, you know who, but handling differently to me,
and I don't like how they're handling it.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Is the Steelers, Like I said, this.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Is more about them than even Aaron Rodgers to me,
because would you agree that he sounds like, like you said,
somebody who's moving this over right, Like I might retire.
I don't know, I might come back. My point is,
you're supposed to be a premium franchise. This is the Steelers.
You're supposed to be trying to.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Win a playoff game and exactly team.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
And I'm trying to win a playoff game to appease
Rob and anybody else who brings that up. But yet
I'm waiting for a quarterback whom I don't know. I
might I'm now told they can go get somebody else
if they want.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
That's what you're waiting for.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
That that is terrible and I'm disappointed and them, Aaron,
I say, he's earned it. If they're gonna if I
let my kids stay up till midnight, they will, If
I let him eet cookies for dinner, they will. Aaron
Rodgers doing what they're letting. Hey, he's just taking his time,
he's molling it over.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
But the idea that they don't have a single idea,
a plan, Like what am I gonna do?

Speaker 4 (13:54):
You don't know that. I mean for you to sit
here and say that they don't have a plan. If
you think the Steelers are sitting there and they don't
have a backup plan. If Aaron Rodgers decides to retire,
I think you're you're being naive.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
We'll call me naive.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
And then all of a sudden, when it happens and
they have something the next day or two days later,
you'll be like, oh, what.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
The bring I didn't think Dan Marley, I mean, Dann
Marino out of a freezer?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
What are they doing right? Eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
You know it's only a handful of quarterbacks, right you
rect like they just got to go on here on
Ventura and go have a quarterback or something.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Eight seven, seven, nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Do you have a problem with Aaron Rodgers mulling over
his future? Are the Steelers ridiculous and dumb, as Kelvin said,
for letting him take his time to decide, or does
Aaron Rodgers have the right to work through his issues
and then decide. And because at forty one, you don't

(14:47):
want somebody half baked.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
You want him to be half baked, so you can't
un half the bake it is.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
It is the hot Couple.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
He might literally be half baked what you're referring to,
and that half baked as well on a TV thing.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
So on Thursday, Rob Parker Kelvin Washington right here on
Fox Sports Radio, stick and stay to.

Speaker 10 (15:06):
Hear more great things of Rob Parker like this, and
he can still say it's not him in the us
of a.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Believe it or not, I'm walking on it. I could
see so.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Free high in a way and a prayer.

What's that?

Speaker 4 (15:43):
He was a columnist at Newsday, a sports columnist. That's
the job I had.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Raymond was yes, oh yeah, so you were look at that.
I like that. Maybe that was about me a little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
No, Hey, I'm convinced I'm living Martin Payne, the Martin,
So I'm living his life.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
The WDF used to be right next to it, to
that built. Yeah, show y. Absolutely, it is the Acapa.
Robin Kelvin on the TV thing.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
So on Thursday coming he live for the Tirack dot
Com studios. Hey guys, it's me Kevin Washington. I got

the next hilarious PayPal campaign with Will Ferrell singing his rendition.
We heard Rob singing, but this is gonna be Will
Ferrell's singing his rendition of Fleetwood Max, go your own way,
you know that song, way for it. He's gonna be
in a bathtub, and if Will's in it, you know

(16:29):
it's gonna be hilarious. You want to check this out.
You can check out the teaser on Thursday today and
the commercial is gonna be on Saturday during the basketball
games this weekend. So get ready to see Will Ferrell
being Will Ferrell, which is hilarious.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
All right, we're talking about Aaron Rodgers and his comments
today at the Pat McAfee show, and just kind of
what your thoughts on him just taking his time trying
to figure it out. Is it something he should be doing,
should be doing without the Steelers? Are they crazy for
putting all their eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket? Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox Who we got.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
John and Wall and joined the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (17:02):
What's up John, First time caller, longtime listener.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Man, We appreciate you, Oh, thank you.

Speaker 7 (17:11):
You're welcome. Hey, listen. I'll just give you another option
on Aaron Rodgers. Okay, the Saints trade Dry Carr to
Pittsburgh for draft picks. Offer Rogers a one year contract
to come to New Orleans. Get your thoughts and I'll
hang up and listen.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
It's doable, John, what's doable? There's an option? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (17:33):
No, only different if I'm taking Aaron Rodgers for his word,
he said the two things that mattered was he wanted
to feel wanted, and he wanted to win.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
And I don't think the Saints is that.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
I don't think the Saints are winning, So that would
be a little you know, if he wants to play,
obviously he wants to play, he wants to play whatever.
But I'm just going by his own word. He wants
to win, and I don't think that's a winning situation.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
It could be with him, No, No, not that dog
Mahomes would even be Like Doug and Maryland, you're in
the odd Bullfox Sports Radio, what's.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Up, Doug?

Speaker 8 (18:02):
Yeah, I don't He's he's definitely not going to New
Orleans because he's going. He wants to win, right, it's
gonna it's either gonna be Pittsburgh or depending on what
happens with Purdy in San Francisco.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Well that's another option there. Obviously, he's from northern California,
don't no doubt about it.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
Guys. Look, guys, I'm sick and tired of these reporters.
And I'm not blaming you guys, but the people that
talk about him all the time, they pretend like they
care about where he goes. When they do not, they
do not like him. There's not one person on the
radio today that likes Aaron Rodgers because of his whether
it's his political beliefs or whether he wants to go
to another country like Morocco or whatever. Who cares. Man,

(18:41):
He's the highest rated quarterback of all time, and you
know what, he has a reason to have a chip
on his shoulder. Look, I'm not the biggest fan of
Aaron Rodgers. I've had a lot of respect for him
over the years, but the last couple of years I've
lost respect for him. However, that doesn't take away the
fact that he's the he's the one of the greatest
top three or four quarterbacks of all time, highest rated

(19:01):
quarterback of all time. And it's not the same thing
whenever you know, they drafted him for far thinking that
Farb was going to retire soon, as opposed to as
opposed to drafting Love because guess what, Aaron Rodgers had
a better career than Farb did. So he got really
kicked off. I gotta watch my language. He got really
kicked off whenever they drafted Love because he knew that

(19:23):
he had about five or six years left in the
tank and they drafted Love and that really really got there.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
And you know what, and your point is well taken
from the standpoint that you know they never drafted and
the whole time he was there in the first round,
a skilled position player for Aaron Rodgers and all those
years in Green Bay, and that was always one of
the things. How could you have not drafted? You think
you want to him somebody and they never did it.
All right, thanks for the call. Ken in California, you're

(19:51):
on the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
What's up? Ken?

Speaker 7 (19:54):
All right?

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Well, today's Kevin.

Speaker 10 (19:58):
Day.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
Because Rob is so far up he's bitch.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
For there's no choice but to wait for Rogers and your.

Speaker 11 (20:05):
Take on the Lakers being text uh because they don't
go to the finals this year.

Speaker 7 (20:12):
That's even more way up. The only thing works, The
only thing works.

Speaker 6 (20:16):
Was your monologue this morning.

Speaker 7 (20:18):
I mean when you open the show on the theme.
So on Thursday, he said, the Odd Couple.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Nothing come Joe Rough.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
I guess he's back over here with me.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
I got kid Man, gotay flip flop Trey in Texas.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
You're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up?

Speaker 11 (20:35):
Tray.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Hey, what's so good?

Speaker 2 (20:38):
How are you?

Speaker 11 (20:39):
Good?

Speaker 8 (20:40):
Man?

Speaker 11 (20:40):
Good?

Speaker 7 (20:41):
I think I mean he had that right.

Speaker 12 (20:43):
He has that right of choice.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
I mean he's creating.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
So he gets to wait and we'll see what happens.

Speaker 12 (20:50):
I mean, the one they want to.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
Do is get screwed over, you know, if they they don't.

Speaker 12 (20:54):
And I really think he he's waiting until after.

Speaker 11 (20:57):
The draft and then want to pull the friggle probably quarterback.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
That's probably what it will happen. Uh, you see if
the Steelers pull the quarterback or not. I don't feel okay.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Last one is that Andre in Massachusetts. You're in the
eye couple of Fox Radio.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
What's up? Dreight?

Speaker 12 (21:16):
Hey, how you doing? Thanks taking a call for me.
This is par for the course, both for Aaron Rodgers
and for the Steelers. In terms of Aaron Rodgers, he's
about himself, his brand, this perpetual mystery surrounding everything he does.
So this is he was going to play out the string, irregardless.
That's why the Steelers, even you know, being in business

(21:37):
with Aaron Rodgers is curious to start with. And this
is how we're going to conduct himself if and when
he becomes a Steeler do I think them slowly but
surely distancing themselves to the best course of action. Find
a quarterback game Managers is gonna come in, run your system.
Be a culture guy, build build you up, because you're
getting an understanding of what it will be like its
and what Aaron Rodgers does. Get to the Steelers, there's

(21:59):
going to be a clash of cultures. There won't be
a meeting of the mind between him and Mike Mike Tomlins.
So right now they have.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
A bromance going on. Andre they've been infatuated with each
other for years.

Speaker 11 (22:11):
They gotta relax rob again, just like what happened with
the Jet as soon as the first time of trouble,
Aaron Rodgers is going to go in his direction, and
you know he's gonna want to do things his way.

Speaker 12 (22:21):
And we know that the Steelers are about continuity and
the standard is the standard. So everyone is there in the.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Headline, right, I hear you talking in circles. Is he
gonna go to the Steelers? Yes or no? That's all
I want to hear from you. Yes or no?

Speaker 11 (22:33):
Dray no, okay, because he's not going to be able
to get his way.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Thanks, thank you, Dre. Appreciate it. We got that. Okay,
Dre failed for it? Yes or no?

Speaker 2 (22:45):
He failed for it? Dagger Dre, you listened too much
to fall for it.

Speaker 3 (22:48):

(23:36):
what you get. She was like, I'll be right back
and left you with the baby, and you didn't and
you start stuck with the baby.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
That's my guess what happened.

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Oh man, I was just laughing that Rob is wearing.

Speaker 8 (23:46):
Gucci right now.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Oh he really is.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
That's really want to talk about.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Fly It's a Gucci like a like a sucker like jacket.
It's a collab which he did. Yeah, it's a coach.

Speaker 6 (23:59):
Okay, I thought you wearing like Gucci slippers.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
No, no, come on in the summertime.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Come on, Tyler. He waited for the summer for that.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
I didn't know what she was doing over there, the
vibe you're going with, so I just wanted to.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Know, all right, well, uh, draft, what are you hearing?
Just give us any let's start there. I guess we're
looking at number two and three, right, do we know that? Up?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
I might want to talk about those awards Tyler at
number one and it's about two and three.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
Yeah, I mean, I'm hearing the same thing cam Ward is.
It's almost a fromality that he's going to go number one. Overall, However,
number two and number three is where it gets interesting.
Browns g and Andrew Berry pretty much with singing the
praises of Travis Hunter Today called him the show a Otani.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Oh, I love it? Did didn't we say that? For weeks?
We said that word.

Speaker 6 (24:56):
Yeah, So I think that Travis Hunter is almost locked
the number two and number three? Are the Giants going
to draft a quarterback? Are they gonna draft Shador? They
spend a lot of time scouting him and studying him,
or are are they gonna, you know, go with the
edge rusher out of a Penn state And in my opinion,

(25:19):
they're probably uh going to go defensive side of the
football and Shador is going to slide. Now, I don't
think Shador is gonna slide outside the top ten. That's
probably the million dollar question right now. Where is he
going to go? I think the Saints are a great
destination for him.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
But but I'll say this, and people forget Aaron Rodgers
was sitting there forever yep on his draft night and
you remember, I mean see.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Then there and he got a Hall of Fame career
out of it.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
Lamar Jackson on Jackson right went down? Was he the
last pick in the first round, was win a Heisman
and had a nerd to almost win two of them?
They're like, nah, I just don't think he's good. But
you know what I'm saying, Like the people are wrong
on people all the.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Time in the draft.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
Yeah, and I mean I think Shador is getting a
bad rap. Everybody's talking about, well he did maybe didn't
interview well, or he's too arrogant. But in my opinion,
what good athlete isn't cocky, What good athlete isn't sure
of himself and confident that that to me is a
good thing. And I would love to see him in
a spotlight like New York because he will be He's

(26:27):
the type of guy that can handle that pressure. But
the Giants are what I'm hearing there more than likely
going to pass on them because they have Russell Wilson,
because they have Jamis Winston, and you got a player
like maybe an Addual Carter on the board at number three.
They can go defense and Tyler.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
You know, I grew up in New York, and I've
said to Calvin fun he just doesn't feel like like
he would fit in with the Giants, Like the Giants
are a little you know what I mean. Yeah, Like
I'm looking at that going really he would be the
Giants starting quarterball.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
I never heard what you're doing that.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I could go on and on and on, and it
just felt like it wouldn't be a giant.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Would a giant jump with three brothers in the quarterback room?
Three brothers in the quarterback room? They like, I think
we take up our whole entire history with this one
quarterback room right now.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Well, I think at one point the Giants had only
had five black assistant coaches in their history.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Like crazy, because it's mad assistant coaches on the sideline,
I was gonna ask. I talked a little bit earlier
about genty and uh, how you know the running back
is kind of back? Any other players we're looking at
gent We're looking at the defensive lineman from Michigan. Who
else is out there that could make some you know,
make a splash or dude maybe like, hey, be happy

(27:48):
that you were able to steal this guy.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
I think a player like Jalen Walker, the linebacker edge
rusher out of Georgia.

Speaker 12 (27:58):
A tweiner.

Speaker 6 (27:59):
Uh, some people that have him as an off ball linebacker.
Some scouts think he's a better off as an edge rusher.
But I can see him going in the top ten
to a team like Carolina who needs a lot of
help on defense. They had the worst total defense in
the NFL last year and only thirty two total sacks,
so I can see him going there. And then the

(28:20):
tight ends in this class, especially at the top of
the board, Tyler Warrens out of State and Colston Lesland
out of Michigan. I mean, both of those players are
more than likely going to go in the top twenty.
The team is going to be very happy with them.
So those are kind of the three players I'm really
looking at, as well as, like you mentioned, the running backs,

(28:43):
the Ashta genty, but Amarion Hampton could go early as
well as the running back out of North Carolina. He's
kind of a downhill running back between the tackles. So
those are the players I'm really keeping an eye on
any real.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Quick before we let you go.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Is there any team you're thinking about that could say, Hey,
I'm gonna jump up, I'm gonna get on Iva.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
If you don't want to get Shade, we're.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Gonna jump up and take them, or we're gonna jump
up and take Carter. We're gonna, you know, make a
move and jump up and get the guy that they want.

Speaker 6 (29:11):
Well, if I were the Steelers, especially here and that
Aaron Rodgers basfi today, I would move up to get Shador.
I mean to me, whatever Aaron Rodgers decide should not
preclude the Steelers from drafting a rookie quarterback, whether that's
a Jackson Dart or Shador. Standers, we know Cam Wore
is not going to be there, but Steelers roster is

(29:33):
kind of Taylor made for a rookie quarterback to come in.
They have a solid offensive line. We know they've got
DK Metcalf, They've got a nice receiving corpse. Their defense
is always the top ten defensive units. So could you
imagine a player like Shador coming in there and with
his steels being able to not only manage a game,

(29:53):
but throw accurate passes and that pressure being in the
AFC North and that type of hospital vironment, in my opinion,
will not do too much for him. I would love
to see him in the Pittsburgh Steelers uniform. I just
don't know that he's going to be there when the
Steelers picking the twenty, so they're certainly going to have
to move.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Up, all right. We'll have to see if they make
a movie here.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Rob and I were just having that conversation about Aaron
Rodgers and Steelers.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
All right, Todler, you can go be daddy now, man,
I know how it is. Go ahead and do that. Brother.
Thank you so much. We appreciate you.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
Of course. Thanks having thanks buddy.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
No doubt.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
All right, Rob, we got shop talk coming up here
in a bit, and it's it's about one of your
favorite topics in the world.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Saving some money. Yeah, I'm all about it. We know,
except today because you're having a very expensive Gucci jacket.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Other than that, I bought this in Dubai No no, yeah.
Was it still expensive? Oh yeah, but duty free?

Speaker 2 (30:46):
That's true. That's right. If I'm gonna buy expensive duty free,
I'm not paying ten percent town. That's rue. I ain't
met at that.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm five back on Fox Sports Radio and

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Be good, anybody, says, Raymond Burr and Perry Mason just excellent.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Like the cast on this show.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
I know it's an old black and white show from
the fifties, but it is so good.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
I'm just hearing it. As you know, the hip hop producer.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
I feel like I'm in bed and it's eleven thirty
at night. There's a lot of being in bed talking
baby oil. It's been a little little bit too much
of that today. I just want you to know that
is all right, a lot of that right now.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
It is the Odd Couple Robin Kelvin on the TV
theme song Thursday. This is smooth as heck, though this
is kind of hard. I can't lie company laugh for
the tireck that count after the show?

Speaker 2 (31:44):
What did he do?

Speaker 4 (31:45):
After this? After Perry Mason? What show did Raymond Burr do?
He was iron side a cop. Remember they ran that
back about ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
You know who?

Speaker 1 (31:56):
It was, Blair Underwood. It was Blair a good call.
It was my I'm a doppelganger.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
But everybody thought Raymond Buruh was really paralyzed.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Like, dude, it's a TV show.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I mean Burke, get in the wheelchair, Drake and walk, Yeah,
Drake kwall.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
It's a miracle. Worst of Wednesdays.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Calm the chaos with the shipping software that delivers use
code sports for a free trial at a ship station
dot Com. That a ship station dot Com used the

ain't nobody youre talking about whoever whatever?

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Whenever you want you in the bus shop.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Why you know it's shop talking, Well, I said, the
entertainer just told you there from the movie Barbershop. You
can talk about whatever whoever you want to. So we're
gonna talk about this, Ryan today. I had a moment
where I was or last night leaving here, need to
get something for my daughter.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
I said, hey, babe, what donna eating? I'm just gonna
grab a pizza? She said.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
The girls was thinking of the pizza. They want Little Caesars,
And I said, all right, because that ain't my favorite Monti,
but you know what, the girls wanted it fine. But
then I got the Little Seasons and I was pleasantly surprised.
Not surprised, but well, hold on, I know that because
you know this the Illas family from Detroit.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yes, but I was happy.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
You know, I was happy, Monte Alex Ryan Brump because
I used to survive off of that in college. Twenties
were years ago. It was five dollars, that was it.
We called it the five dollars Holla go on here again.
Five you out with your pizza, five dollars back in
the back, in the back in the.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Day, unless you went to Komerica Park for a game,
and it was exactly, it's right across the street.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Thirteen is right, eighteen dollars, that's right almost three times.
So I got it.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
I smiled, and I said to myself, that's awesome that
through all this inflation, gas was like a buck twenty
five and now it was like five dollars. Bought a
candy bar for fifty cents. It's three dollars now. It
only went up to seven bucks now twenty something years later.
You can depend on it a lot of families. They
needed sometimes they gotta feed a bunch of people. Hardbale
doesn't go up in price. I don't think that's that's

(34:01):
I didn't say it was high quality, Okay, I didn't
say it was great eating.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
It ain't what your boy wanted, but it's when my
daughters wanted.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
My point is question to you guys, just is there
the things you buy you go to that you're just
like man, I'm glad this stayed the same. Glad inflation
didn't turn it up like its eggs anything else you
can depend on.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Yes, the big golp when it's on sale for ninety
nine cents, you remember, just to have.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
A big goat baby oil. When you get back to
that few months, I've been out a big golp in
ten weeks? No dog, yeah, ten he has not ten weeks.
Good for you, all right, So the big goat for you?

Speaker 2 (34:34):
What about? You know?

Speaker 1 (34:34):
I got another one for rob your baked chicken. It's
always what seven bucks, eight.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Bucks, seven bucks, six bucks on Thursday?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
I'm sorry, did you see the brow his face? Seven dollars?

Speaker 7 (34:46):
Whoa?

Speaker 1 (34:46):
That extra four quarters is setting me back those ten
dimes kelvin one dollar.

Speaker 13 (34:52):
I like to thank Taco Bell for keeping reasonable prices.
On Sundays, I bring everybody a breakfast brito because it
won't break the.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
That's nice, But how much I'm unfamiliar.

Speaker 13 (35:03):
Like they I buy about eight and it's usually like
twenty ish twenty five dollars.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Three dollars each about Yeah, it's not bad. It's not bad.

Speaker 13 (35:14):
It's not bad about if I want somewhere else, it
would be.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Don't whatever? Yeah, so thank you talk about.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
But Marcy, what you need is if you're buying for
eight people. You need a coupon and you buy four
and get four free.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Everybody, everybody else to have a trapper keeper full of coupons,
Robert Parker, What you got right?

Speaker 2 (35:34):
What you got?

Speaker 5 (35:34):
This one's easy?

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Is the Costco dollar fifty? Yeah, that's all point. You
heard the guy who runs it right and lose money
on him? Yeah, he said.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Even if he lose money, he said, when I leave,
if the next person doesn't keep that, I'm coming back.
I'm smacking everybody. I'm about to add that last part.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
And it's hard putting the pizza dollar fifty in an Alex.
What about you?

Speaker 5 (35:55):
I gotta go with Del Taco.

Speaker 10 (35:57):
Okay, you want why why when I was a kid
and stilling college and high school, I had no money?

Speaker 5 (36:01):
They have Taco Tuesdays and Taco thirsdy.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
They still have Taco Today.

Speaker 10 (36:05):
Tacos for like literally three of them for a dollar,
and then Chicken Soft tacos three of them for two bucks.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
And they're so good they're still right now to this day.

Speaker 5 (36:12):
Now I got it.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
I'm about to tell my daughters, y'all can only go
on Tuesday about to be Uncle Rob Parker up in
this thing.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
Hey, we would go there with five bucks and eat
like kings.

Speaker 12 (36:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Wow, I remember back in the day, Whopper juniors, real
meat in the taco. Irrelevant, that's irrelevant. Listen, it's good.
Just stay focused, Rob. It was good.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
It was tasty.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Okay, you don't want to eat these hot dogs out
here the street not now care?

Speaker 2 (36:35):
I mean the hot dogs, no bun, But what is
a hot dog?

Speaker 4 (36:39):
It's the point, Rob, I had to put some shoot Alex.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
You egg them on what you egg them on? We're
trying to make it. But anyway, shout out to them.

Speaker 8 (36:51):
Man.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
I was like twenty something years later and it's only
two dollars bad.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
That's incredible. Still dollar ninety nine cents.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
I appreciate, we appreciate your I price gouge and your customers.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
