(01:28):
Who covers the Clippers for the athletic he'll join us,
and we also have one's gotta go, so we have
a full hour here in our number two. But yes,
thank you, Lebron. But after last night, we saw the
whole Milwaukee Bucks thing franchise to centegrate right in front
of ours. Easily you can look at that and said,
(01:51):
they blew And what was the what I just showed you?
Speaker 4 (01:53):
What was it?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
One all in it?
Speaker 1 (01:58):
It was insane, like the most unbelievable record for a
team to give up.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
To be up seven with thirty something second.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
With thirty five seconds ago or whatever, no team had
lost and finally the Clippers. So right away we were
talking about this might be Giannis's last game, like it
could be could be Doc rivers last game. They can
look at this and go, this ain't going with the
ain't no way we expected this to happen. I'm not
(02:30):
saying they expected to win a championship, but they went
out very meekly. And I get it. Dame Liller was heard. Yeah,
so I get all that. But they had that game
under control and they could have forced the game six
in Milwaukee. But my question to.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
You is.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Because I would make a change with Doc. I don't
care what contra I would, I really would. I just couldn't.
I can't accept that number two. And you know, people again,
I saw people on social media. Doc didn't have the
ball go through his legs. Doc didn't do this, dude,
when Paul Pierce and all those guys making baskets and
(03:07):
they were making shots, they would did he get a ring?
Did he get credit? Did he got a new contract?
I mean, come on, it can't be like that, right,
It's gotta be both. So I could see that happening
like change there, But can you also see it change
with Giannis? Where he says, I'm good? Are you ready?
(03:29):
For the last ten playoff games, Giannie is averaged thirty
points and fifteen rebounds. What is his record in those
ten games? Averaging thirty points and fifteen rebounds? One and nine?
What does that say?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
So? Where are you?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Do you think Giannis should ascal?
Speaker 4 (03:53):
I think Giannis the last few seasons has put a
lot of pressure on the Bucks and hence that's why
they got Dammian Lil last season because Giannis is I'm
gonna actually quote him here, talked about how much it
means to him. He said quote me not having a
second championship. I look back in my career and everybody
can say, oh, incredible career, active, Hall of Fame or
first ballot, whatever, But me my personal goal. If I
(04:15):
am not able to help my team win a second ring,
I'm letting myself down. Giannie has put a lot of
pressure on them. He has high expectations ever since he won,
because he realizes to be considered one of them one,
you gotta have multiple, right everybody, steph even Kevin Durant,
we could talk. We'd argue that Lebron, Kobe Shag, you
go down the line and they all have multiple. And
(04:37):
so he realized he wants to be in that rare air.
So at this point in his juncture, I could see
him saying, let me explore some options out there, let
me see what else is out there. I don't think
that's his makeup. I think he wants to be a
loyal guy. I think he wants to be there for Milwaukee.
I think he doesn't want to be the guy who
teams up with everybody. But I can see him absolutely
(04:59):
starting to, hey, man, I might have to see what's
out there. But ultimately I think again, when It comes
down to not what I may want him to do,
but what I think he will do. I don't think
he'll leave because I think he doesn't want to be
cut from the same cloth as some of these other guys.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
I don't think he was saying, what are you so
you're saying he should leave.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I'm saying, Kelvin believe yeah, I'm saying, go ahead and
explore us out there.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
You've given this.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Team what eight years, eight nine years, You've won a championship,
and if you want to move on, I think I'm
always hey, if you've done everything you can in the
city and the town, I don't have a problem with
you leaving now. If you want to leave after two
three years and complaining, I have an issue with that.
But if you've given your all, your blest, sweating tears,
I don't have a problem with that. What Kin Milwaukee say,
what Fano Milwaukee can say? Yannis never he didn't show
(05:45):
up night in, night out, giving me is all competed, hard,
gave it off for our team, won us a ring
since we had won one since what was it like
seventy whatever when they won with Kareem Luel Sinder was
he lou Al then or Kareem.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
He was. He was little al Sinder when he won.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
So my point is he absolutely has earned that right
to me, and it should be without burning jerseys. If
he's at that place where he said, hey man, I'm
ready to go elsewhere. I'm ready to look and expand
and move on, I don't think there's a problem with that.
When you're giving your all, blood, sweat and tears for
nearly a decade somewhere, I don't have a problem with that.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
You're not locked in for life. You don't have to
be locked in for life.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I totally disagree, and I'm gonna give you the reasons
why I think he should stay in Milwaukee. Okay, here
are my reasons. Giannis isn't from this culture and with
the other guys. He won't work out with anybody. He's
not buddy buddy with the other players. He's doing his
own thing. He's done something nobody thought. Remember after they
(06:52):
got swept by Miami, everybody was saying that he should
have joined Miami Heat that off season. Go to Miami,
You'll never win. They called him an idiot. Oh you're
you're dumb. Why would you resign in Milwaukee. You'll never win.
That's what everybody said. What a mistake. What do he
do won a championship in Milwaukee. Here's the other thing.
(07:18):
The Big three thing hasn't worked out for people. Go
like like Kevin Durant. They did it in New Well,
Kevin Duran ran everywhere going.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
But except the Warriors, Kevin Urrat, Kevin Diret, Kevin Urreck.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Okay, and then here's the other one, and I'll use
Kevin Durant as well. So the Big three thing hasn't
been working for people. Going up to team up with
other people hasn't worked. Number two, Kevin Durant gets half
credit for those two championships that he won, right because
they're like, well, if you go join his other team,
Stephan them, they had already won, blah blah blah blah.
(07:52):
So if Giannis goes to join some team that's already won,
what are you really getting from that? The difference from
Kawhi going to Toronto where they had never won, like
going to the Clippers where they have never won. People
look at it differently. No one's like Kawhi had a
chance to join a d and Lebron. Remember they had
money for all three of them, and he chose not
(08:15):
to do it. Janna's to me is like his old man,
And if you're Milwaukee and you make that commitment, let
them go out and get you. To other players, they
did go out and get you Damian Lillard, all right,
So you can sit there all you want and say
they don't. Did they not go get you Damian Lillard?
(08:35):
That was a big dray when it first went down.
Oh man, I'll watch out for Milwaukee Dame and and
Janna's go perfect together.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
They're perfect.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
And that has been underwhelming even when he has been
under even when healthy, it's underwhelming. And the whole rest
of the roster has been eroding ever since they won
in twenty twenty one. It's get Brook Lopez a getting
too old.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
You need to make some change. Had Christ maybe a
year or two.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
He shouldn't go anywhere.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
So I'm okay with Yanna's going ahead and said, dude, dude,
he's been there for a long He was a skinny
little bambi who could barely play basketball, was just freakishly
athletic who's turning into one of the all time greats.
And that, to me is the difference. Giannice is self made.
Where's Kevin Durant?
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Excuse me?
Speaker 4 (09:20):
People could argue was not you came to a team
that won. Giannis is already self made. MVPs finals, MVPs.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Won a chip.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
So if he were to go join, you know, some
other team. He joined the Rockets to make them a continent.
He goes to join, they give up Chet some picks.
He goes joins SGA and uh and okay. See, Giannis
has made no one can ever question him. And that's
why I like it because to your point, unlike Kevin Durant,
people can forever say he wasn't a mad man. He
(09:49):
didn't win until the guy with seven. He ain't won nothing. See,
but Stephen is not one before him, with him and
after him.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
But the difference is Stephan them had choked on a
three to one lead, and I could sit.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Here you I agree that he has changed the history
of their dynasty.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Right. I don't disagree with.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
That because because without him they don't Lebron might have
two more championships.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
I mean I cannot Lebronic figured them out. They had
no answer for them, They had no answer.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
They buried.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
They beg givin Durant, what and I one thousand percent
agree with that. So you and I agreement with what
he brought to that team. I'll never not Kevin. He
was the best player on the court at that time.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I want no doubt about it. And they won both MVP.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
So to me, that's not even a question.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
But for those who want to question, to your point,
oh he didn't do that, man, I don't count those.
Those are steps rings ha ha ha. Well then that's
why I'm saying Giannis doesn't have to deal with that.
Giannis is a maid man. So if he were to
go join you know, and and go somewhere and say, hey,
I'm getting ready to be the best player at this
team and Orlando, you know, they got some young studs.
Maybe they give up Franz and Cole Anthony and some
(10:52):
picks and now it's Pollo and and and Gianni's that'd
be freaky, right. What if he goes, like I said,
you give up I'm a Thompson, another player in some picks,
and now he's in Houston like he's gonna be the man.
He's gonna be like Luca and Lakerville. If he would
if and win, Luca would ever win you wouldn't necessary.
You won't look at Gianna says he. Oh, he's just
(11:14):
coasted to it because Giannis is still in his prime
and still in an MVP candidate.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
So that's the difference.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
I think this he's earned it, the right to he's
given his all to a town blutswind tears one of
a ring.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
I have no problem. It's time for him.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
If he wants to say, I've given you my agent,
get to agenting.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
I think it's great when a guy can be at one,
one uniform, one team, have a long career.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
We saw it.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Derk Novinski won one championship right, and he's revered there.
Giannis would be revered in Milwaukee and and god forbid,
he actually put together a team and they won a
second one there like where that would put him as
far as small market Giannis was that good. He didn't
have to go to a big market to join other players,
and he was able to win not one, but two championships.
(12:00):
That would be great for him. I just think Milwaukee
showed him that they were willing to make a move
when they went to get Damian Lillard. So why would
they not go and try to find other pieces of a
reun and they could keep trying. The issue is now
becomes money. Those two both make a lot of money.
Damien has signed, he's injured, so you can't trade him.
(12:21):
So how do you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Like, I don't see that were right, But it's going
might be at the end of the year, next year,
mid most of the way, two thirds of the season
or something. So you're not gonna get a good trade
for Dame right now. A thirty four will be thirty
five year old coming off an Achilles that's just not
gonna and blood clot issues, so that's just what are
you getting from that?
Speaker 3 (12:39):
So I just see, I don't see how they're gonna
be able to make that work.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
And again, Yiannis has been there since the twenty thirteen
to twenty fourteen season. If anyone has earned the right
to say I've had I've had it. I've given him all,
not even in a negative way. I just want to
go explore life and do some other things. I think
that's Giannis all right.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine sixty three sixty nine. Where are you? Should
Yiannis ask out or should he stay in Milwaukee and
let them continue to build around him. What should Giannis
do after this latest tobaccle in the postseason? It's another
(13:18):
right first round exit. Yep, three in a row, three
in a row. If you're Yannis, what would you do?
We want to hear from you. Kelvin says he's out.
I say he should stick around. It'll be interesting to
hear what people say. I know Milwaukee's not sexy, beer
bowling alleys and mildly attractive. I've never met eight seven
(13:40):
seven ninety nine on Fox.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
He's starting to sound like Barkley and the san Antini.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
I didn't I didn't say anything. I was a mildly
attractive downtown Okay, That's what I was.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Okay, right, Ax, we heard we heard a what.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
No, no, no downtown Okay.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
We thought we heard a why like you're about to
get to the women. No, no, I did say that.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Okay, No, No, it is the I'm a woman, Parkerkelvin.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
I'll figure out where that came.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah, I don't know what that come from. I think
Alex made is that Ai?
Speaker 3 (14:06):
No as you speaking to you right.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Here off Fox Sports Radio. I know it's up almost
fell on her.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
It's active on the page people go to go to.
If you heard it, you see and you want to
see it, we'll talk about we coming.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
All right, It is The Odd Couple on Fox Sports Radio.
You know what to do. Stick and stay.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
If you're ready to see Giannis in twenty four on
the Lakers of the US of a Possible.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Okay, Alex, who's this.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Indy tribe?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Andy tribe?
Speaker 1 (14:45):
This is a worship winz.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah, man, Christian hip hop ain't playing with him nowadays.
I've seen both. Bow just threw his hat in the air.
Bow was going crazy with it.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
If I hear this playing, Okay, no stop, I was
gonna say I might rob the election play.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
I'm just saying, well, we were about to rob hell
is what he just said. Right, He's robbing's hell though,
means he gonna take souls. That was damn going to
hell and bring up to heaven.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
All right, Okay, you would have learned that if you
came to Easter Sunday service. It's the I know about it,
Robin Kevin on a worship Wednesday. And for over forty years,
tire Rack has been helping customers find the right tires
for how, what and where they drive, ship fast and
free back by free road hazard protection, with convenient installation
(15:33):
options like mobile tire installation. Tyrack dot Com is the
way tire buying should be. Rob and I talking about Giannis.
There's a lot of speculations as he stayed, as he go,
Rob says, stay, continue to be a legend in Milwaukee.
I say, you've given him ten to eleven years. You gave
it them all. You want them a title? If you
want to leave, brother, go ahead, get up out of there.
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox who we got.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Let's go Trey in Texas, You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Try?
Speaker 7 (15:59):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Guy?
Speaker 3 (16:00):
You all right?
Speaker 8 (16:01):
First of all at Callens playing with the whole.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
I'm telling you thought Janni was going hit it with it?
Do jermain o Nicks slid through there?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Hot?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Du can.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
No?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Man?
Speaker 7 (16:14):
I say, Y say, man, show in the contract for
a few more years, man, And.
Speaker 9 (16:18):
You know, I think it's just a European in them.
I think you're gonna say he's gonna be loyal.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Now hold on, because you know Luca. Luca didn't leave.
You know what I'm saying, Luca traded.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Meaning if if Yanna says, look I want out, I
know him on the contract. But look, I'm telling y'all
so we can do this amicably. It can be a
good breakup. Go get the best player you can get.
I want to leave, is what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
But Trey saying that ain't in his DNA because he
could have left the first time.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Yeah, I do agree that Yannis doesn't want to be
like everybody else. But I'm telling him as his friend. Bro,
if you feel if you want to go ahead and
move and do something, going ahead, don't feel stuck.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Terry in Tacoma, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Terry?
Speaker 6 (16:58):
I was going, guys, Barry, but.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
That's close very.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
What you start calling you too?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Got bo?
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Got watchase. Look this my time doing the show here.
I'm gonna make a rule where the callers have to
have T mobile, a T and T you want to
call the show.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Don't don't disrespect cricket like that again.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Okay, so bo you mean to tell me I wouldn't
be able to call in?
Speaker 6 (17:21):
Then?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Now you got boose mobile? What you got Booze? Right?
Speaker 6 (17:24):
So so here, here's here's the deal. First of all,
I think you guys are doing a great job. I
was a Chris Brussard fan, and I'm impressed with the transition.
Speaker 9 (17:37):
Uh, Calvin Robson, I.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Appreciate that, by the way, to you, by the way,
you can still be a Chris fan to know that.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
But that no, that that says a lot.
Speaker 8 (17:45):
I still I still catch Chris.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
But anyway, I never.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Missed First things first, I never watched it, so I
never missed it.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
I'm a little moist right now.
Speaker 8 (17:53):
Hold you got you guys are looking at it from
the wrong perspective. What what is most important is the
Milwaukee Bucks organization and and and for the good of
the organization.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
This kills me. But we need to trade Giannis because
we have zero assets, we have zero draft picks. We
have all this money tied up in Damian and obviously
and Giannis, and it kills me. And I love him
and I'm so forever appreciative, but we need four draft picks,
two starters, or whatever. Somebody that can make an impact
(18:27):
and somebody for the future we need it. That's the
best for the organization.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
I mean, that's that's a team perspective for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Fans saying I got my championship on see you don't
let the door hit you.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Thanks Terry, all right, appreciate it, Terry, and thank you
for the kind worst. Terry means a lot, seriously, definitely,
you know, whenever you make a transition. Oh yeah, that's
why I didn't take. That's why to I don't. I
didn't take anything personally like you and Chris had a
great thing on. So somebody was like, I like, I
WK do I get it? Five six years together?
Speaker 3 (18:53):
You know?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Oh yeah, six years? But I knew I was as
you might wind up working long in it with me
then Christ it could happen.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
I don't know, gonna do how many more years you got?
Oh no, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Ro oh there it is?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
Where'd that?
Speaker 4 (19:11):
I don't know the way Mancy be looking over there,
she'd be looking at this chair, Monci, I've seen Look,
she an't even hide it.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Rob said, you dag a right, that's right?
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Hey, Well Will in Mississippi, m I s s I
S S M My Crook letter, Crook letter, Crook letter,
I P P I rob My Ballooney has her first day,
it's be my Boloney has a second day. It's m
A y E r oh. I love to eat it
(19:42):
every day. And if you ask me why, I'll say,
because Oscar Buyer has a way with b O.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
L O and g y l O g n A.
What did you say you smell up? Let's hold on
every day.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
If you ask me why, I'll say, here we go
because Oscar Buyer has a way with bo l O energy.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
I definitely left some letters.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
I left it out.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
If my life was on the line, like I couldn't
spell it, you got three seconds to spell bell on it,
I would be like in the eyes of an angel,
and it would just be a picture of me in
my funeral.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Hey will, you're in the eye couple?
Speaker 9 (20:31):
How are you good man?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
How y'all doing?
Speaker 3 (20:33):
What's we're walling well?
Speaker 1 (20:35):
We are wild, we're walling out.
Speaker 7 (20:37):
Y'all having the time tonight?
Speaker 9 (20:38):
Man?
Speaker 1 (20:39):
But I love it man, Thank you, buddy, thank you.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
It's just just timing in on the youngest conversation. And
I guess I kind of agree with both of y'all. Rob,
I can understand, like, you know, just having a legacy
one jersey, kind of like Kobe Bryant, you know, just
being in one place your whole career. But I just
feel like these guys waste so much of a life
sometimes in these situations, in these small market team don't
want to make it in their prime, and then towards
(21:03):
the end, it's like, you know, you screamed his lord
suit the whole time, and then towards enn it's like, Okay,
well maybe.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
I should go.
Speaker 7 (21:07):
And I think he should take advice from his teammates
who decided who was the same way.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
That's a great point.
Speaker 7 (21:12):
Will they stayed in Portland too long? And now look
at you got blood clots' thirty six years old? I
think he thirty five thirty six? Now you just told
your Achilles, So like, what impact is he gonna have?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Like, yeah, but here's the one. I'll give you another one.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Why is your money back out? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
Dirk Dirk Davinski played there what twenty years, right or
eighteen years or whatever it was. He is loved in
that city. He is, He's got a statue, right, They
they're all.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
About he never won a champions and we thought of
his one of the best, but not having a real conversation,
y'alla still has a four or five way year runway
where he could start to crack a top ten. Dirk
wasn't that. But Dirk went to the finals twice. Remember
was that guy? He had one of the greatest final runs.
I'm not knocking dirt. What I'm saying is, at no
point did you ever go.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
But if you don't, if you're staying in Milwaukee the
whole career and you don't win, then I understand that
if you're now, you're fourteen fifteen years in and you
haven't won, and you want to go somewhere and try
to win. But he won and that's what like he
has that in his back pocket. You can't take it
away from him. He didn't have to go join anybody else.
He did it on his own. You're going to be revered.
(22:21):
Milwaukee didn't have that many championships and that like that.
That is like you've written your ticket and now if
you can go get a bonus one and they've shown
you one thing. If you asked for Damian Lilla and
they didn't produce him, they went out and got him
when you asked for it.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
You just explained all the reasons why he can go.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Now, mate, man you just heard forgot the gentleman who
called from Milwaukee, fanigey Will gave him his all blood
swat tears eleven twelve years, got a ring. Giannis gone ahead,
bring the adonna's body somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
But all right, thank you for.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
That, everybody We got Tell Lo Murray covers the Clippers
for the Atlanta getting rid of the Athletic. Ready to

blogs and sites and socials and all that good stuff.
Go check it out my page, his page, you'll see
it there. Join now by Law Murray, who covers the
(23:17):
clippers for the Athletic. You know what's cool about this,
Rob is that Law and I don't know each other,
but he doesn't know that.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
We ran a story on him yesterday on Spectrum. Tim Parker,
our buddy Tim Parker, did a story on him.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay, on Law.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah, what's up?
Speaker 6 (23:31):
Law?
Speaker 9 (23:32):
What's going on?
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Kellen?
Speaker 5 (23:33):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (23:34):
Rob?
Speaker 3 (23:34):
How are you?
Speaker 9 (23:37):
Man? I literally just got to LA a couple hours ago.
She's just got home because you know, Lax is in
a whole nother island over there. Yeah. So but that's
what we do is man. We're in the playoffs. So
we'll see. We'll see if I'm back at Lax Friday
for Game seven.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Yeah, well that let's talk about what happened man a
beat down. Jamal Murray realized that he was playing a
team from LA, usually the Lakers. He decides to go
crazy on in nuclear on and he does that against
the Clippers.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
What'd you make of that game?
Speaker 9 (24:13):
He mad, Jamal Murray look like Steph Curry last night,
straight up. And I knew that Jamal had that kind
of game engine. Like. Jamal Murray is what we like
to call a playoff riser. He's a guy that you
know he might take the what we used to call
Mike Connelly back in the twenty tens is the best
players not being all star yea, and Jamal is He's
(24:38):
never been an All Star, but we all know that
he's an all star caliber player. He got confidence early
and he was aggressive. I thought that the Nuggets got
home after that put back dunk by Aaron Gordon Saturday night.
They got their rest, they understood what was happening. And
I looked at Jamal Murray's box score. I was like,
he hit some big shots in that fourth, but he
(25:00):
only had thirteen points. Like there was his worst game
in the series. And the Nuggets won that game, and
I felt like, this is the time for Jamal to
possibly go off, and that's what happened. And so I
think the biggest thing is the Clippers blew out the
Nuggets with outliers shooting in Game three. That's the last
game that the Clippers won. The Nuggets just got that
(25:22):
same game last night, and so I don't The thing
about the playoff series is you have to kind of
take each game for what it is. There is some
momentum that goes into the next game, but that momentum
kind of doesn't matter after a few minutes. Every game
can speak for itself. And so that's how this is
going to happen. You have to look at it going
(25:42):
into Game six. Great game last night from Jamal Murray.
I don't think the Nuggets can bank go on forty
three more points from him again, just like the Clippers
can't bank on Nikola Yokies only having thirteen points a
game in the series like he did last night.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Right, I was just gonna say that, what about I
know you covered the Clippers. Well it was done to look.
Could the Nuggets and maybe they made the right move
by firing Mike Malone and they responded and people are
looking at them, going, if if Mary plays like that,
they got a shot to make a run in the West,
maybe maybe they get involved in it. How good do
(26:15):
they look to you? Could they? Could they do that?
Speaker 9 (26:19):
They got to fix the job. They were all three
to two last year in the semi finals against the
Minnesota Timberwolves, and they won three straight games to fix
that three to two league. And then they got met
on the road and then they blew a huge lead,
the biggest lead you've ever seen blown that in the game,
says in the NBA postseason history. So I'm not I'm
not looking at Oklahoma City's next opponent right now. I
(26:41):
don't know who that is yet. It could be the Nuggets,
it could be the Clippers. Like, let's just put it
this way. We got to see how this series ends,
because now you've got a team facing elimination for the
first time. We haven't had that five games, and so
if it's the Nuggets, we know that they have won
the championship. The thing about the head coaching change, this
(27:02):
isn't like how Memphis or Sacramento changed coaches. I mean
even Sacramento they had Doug Christie and does have some
success because he's been with those guys. You know, they
just didn't have the best luck at the end and
they weren't good enough. Frankly, Memphis, they'd put a guy
in charge who wasn't with the team last year. Dave
Adam has been with the Nugget for years. You know,
he's been with Michael Malone. He was with them two
(27:24):
years ago. He's been in consideration for head coaching jobs,
and it helps that his dad as a Hall of
Fame coach. You know, like you can say he's built
for this, and I think he's done a great job
having the pulls of the team and doing what needs
to be done to get the Nuggets to the point
where they pushed the Clippers to the brink of elimination.
(27:46):
But now it's the Clippers. Cern played desperate basketball. I
don't really, I really don't see the Clippers. They haven't
played that way yet because they haven't pushed that way.
But maybe now, maybe now, this is the time where
you see them empty, empty to tank. They're fully healthy.
You never hear that about that, Rob. Rob likes to
(28:07):
talk about curtsies and whatnots right now like everyone, no.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
No slow down law. It still looks early.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
No.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
But I hear what you're saying. And I was going
to ask you I was allowed. This is the last
question for me. Uh, Kawhi and Hard And I know
they had a bad day any office, Yes, one of
the greatest last of all time. But when they're on
and when they're playing, I mean, it has been fun
to watch. That's why you can't count them out, am
I right? Those two guys, if they play well, how
(28:37):
can you count the Clippers out?
Speaker 9 (28:40):
Yeah? And and it's up to the Clippers to put
those guys in position to succeed, especially James. I think
Kawhi had a really bad game one seven turnovers. She's
never had a playoff game with more turnovers. And then
he immediately responded to that game with his best game.
I think Denver ever since it's kind of made it
tougher on him. But Kawhi is going to get his
(29:02):
He's too good. James, I think has kind of gone
through the motions. His field goal attempt has decreased every
single game since the first game of this series. This
is got to be a James Harden game in Game six.
He's got to be the one that he's not talking.
You know, he hasn't talked after he didn't talk out
the Game four, he didn't talk after Game five. He
(29:22):
can talk with his play in game six. And that
statement needs to be something that kind of valiates the
season that he's had. He's led this team on the floor.
He let the team off the floor like he's had
a great season, redemption season for people who wrote him off.
And so you know, don't go out like that, and
so the Clipper needs to put those guys in position
(29:44):
to succeed. It's a great story, but it ain't going
to be a great ending if they aren't going to
Denver for Game seven.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
That's a great point, and you mentioned James kind of
that's what the note has been that he doesn't show
up in the postseason, but he he was having a
good season but all of a sudden it's starting to
fall off. We'll see if he can redeem himself. I
appreciate you, man, y'ah, welcome back.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
We appreciate you. Thank you for the knowledge.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
Hey, thanks brother, no doubt, Law Murray, make sure you

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Ladder or just a ladder? Which one's gotta go?
Speaker 3 (30:29):

Speaker 1 (30:33):

you come in and give me mouth to mouth without
a thought.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Calvin, you know we all have a day Manzie.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
You guys wouldn't give me mouth to mouth if I
was on the floor bleeding and I just out of air.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
At that point, there's not much I was like.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
I'll call it heaven.

slash frugal slash spender you ever me.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
It's it's confusing. It depends on the day and what
it was. All right, let's get to it. So I
had joking earlier.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
I had to do some things and I took care
of my little nephew man looked out for him. See
you go on a little date, Rob, little sushi date,
and I sent him a little couple of money I
sent him via Venmo. So the question is, and then
you had a bunch of cash for some reason, which
is still on the desk right now or a counter.
I don't know why you always County asked you to carry?
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Why is it out right now?
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Is what?
Speaker 4 (32:37):
You are so ready for Friday? You can't even act.
So here's the conversation.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
I always empty in my pockets when I do the show.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
You never noticed, No, I do notice. I just never
asked why why I.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Don't feel comfortable with stuff in my pockets when I'm
all right, well, yes I had to pull this stuff
out of my pocket, Yes you did, so here we go.
But I still don't have a bad.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Venmo or paper.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
I'm counting those are the same, you know those apps,
cash app, Venmo, PayPal, cash up cash, I'll rob.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
We know that ain't going nowhere for cash.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
Checks, direct deposit and or wire transfer or your credit
debit card. One's gotta go. One of these types of payments.
How you do your life?
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Take them in it?
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Think about it, bo alex Monci, because it ain't as
easier to think, because then that okay, well, how you
pay that particular bill, or how you send money to
your mom or your grandpa or your friend or.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
Your or how you pay for your haircut?
Speaker 4 (33:26):

be doing doing the Nelly tip real video?
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Let that ride? If we caught it, you caught it,
all right? So what do I go? Alex? You even
wanting me to do this for a couple of.
Speaker 4 (33:40):
Weeks to Alex one, it's easy, guys going on here?
Speaker 1 (33:45):
How it's it's easy, trust Alex.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
What is it Alex? This last time I wrote a check? Yeah,
probably my past life.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
Seeing that for well, I won't speak for me, but
that I write them quite frequently.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Do you really?
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Hey, God, this is the one time I'm glad Robbgie
is not here because if I told you why, he
would have all, oh you rich me, he would say
all that stupid stuff.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
So I'm not telling you.
Speaker 10 (34:08):
You're saying it for him.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
No, there's the reasons why.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
But it's not right now for his Uh, it's made his.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
And it's Butler, Alfred Butler. First of all, ordinary African student. Relax, Okay,
robb Gi would have people thinking otherwise h what you got.
Speaker 5 (34:32):
It's checks by themselves, right like just h checks or
just check? Yeah, checks easy, This is easy. Anytime you
get stuck behind someone paying with a check in the
year twenty twenty five, just automatically would pick them up
and throw them like somewhere else, because like.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
JA did to Norman Powell. So what I do normally
is why did you pick that man up?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Is outside bow? First, I gotta sigh, somebody has a check.
I'd be like, oh God, Like, I'll do that, and
then I'll move to the next I swear I do
it all the time.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
But then you can pull out your one thousand, two
hundred and fifty five singles and we gotta wait for your.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
The cashiers. They love me, you know why. They're like,
I need singles, thank you, You're a godsend. We're short
on single.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Litter all over their hands all.
Speaker 10 (35:24):
I've never written a check in my little I've never
And when I opened my I was little, when my
parents took me to open a bank account, they gave
me like a sample of checks to like order. It
could be Looney tunes, they could be like Precious Moments.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
It could be the mountains. I never ordered any see
Rob G. You know what when he was a kid,
Oh boy, he used to play with checks as a kid.
Rob would bounce so he would.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
Have the other six years, Bro, six years, what for me?
Speaker 10 (35:55):
