May Or may not be back on Monday.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
I don't think he's coming back, but somebody offered him
fifty cent more per hour.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
And he might just take it. But he probably will
have extra fifteen pounds when he.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Gets he'll be rolling in.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
So disappointed in him that he said that in the
group chat am I I'm was supporting of him, like, Robbie,
I know you're gonna come in with abs of steel.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
You're funny.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
And he kept it real.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
He said, no, broh Manzi bo is at the anchor desk.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
She'll keep us updated throughout the program. Manzi, he's already
said he's put on fifteenth. He already just took the
l That's terrible. He didn't keep hope alive at all.
He said, No, I'm coming. I'm over here, losing twenty
four pounds since we started our challenge.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I thought y'all were just talking mess. Oh these are.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Facts, No, I said, rob Yeah, I said Robberie, I'm
sure you're fifteen pounds. Like he's gonna secretively not talk
about it, come in fifteen down like oh shoot, okay,
not the case.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Okay, I had it yesterday and my team decided to
play not like the Clippers, and we won our games.
So we're going to the finals.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Very nice.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
We shouldn't be. Let me tell you who should not
be in the finals my team, but we are.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
And also rest to you.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
You never heard of him.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Eliza is all social media guru, one of the best
in the business.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Real quick.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I don't know, I don't know, I'm I'm I'm bugging out.
I want to stand on this desk. Can I stand
on this desk?

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Let me hold you? Okay, all right, Elijah, get ready
to We got a clip? Are you really about to
do this? Oh? God, do I need to help you?
Thank you? Sam? Oh?

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Rob, I see Elijah? Cut this you know how?

Speaker 8 (04:29):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (04:33):
I need this timestamp?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Rob, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Oh my gosh. Rob Parker is the craziest man. What
why are you up here? Please explain to the people
while you're here.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
School is over at USC.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Man is so excited. The man almost didn't make it.
It's so bad. I'm like video in right now. This
is how bad it is. The man almost died because
the USC was out.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Oh my goodness, almost fell over. I can't listen.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
It's the odd couple not the odd single. I didn't
want to be doing the show without you in the hospital.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
That's how excited I was that today was the last
day of class.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I just got to give a final on the twelfth.
But yeah, yeah, it was almost your final.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
It was was your final show.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I know. Not good?

Speaker 5 (05:31):
All right, crazy, that's good. You know you know you're
going viral right when Elijah clips that up. But you
know what, it's congratulations, great semester. I'm happy. I love teaching.
But man, like, no, no, no, no, like the ram
said about the picks, blank them kids.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
You ready, I'm ready for the summer.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
But uh, another older guy who did something crazy. It
was exciting, like you, he was excited and it wasn't fascinating.
Ending to the game and Halliburn's dad, Uh he ran
out onto the court and I get it.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
It wasn't exciting and his and his son.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
What was the reason why the UH Pacers closed out
the Bucks in a in a wild finish?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I mean, what is the number? Bo? Do you know it?

Speaker 6 (06:28):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Teams leading by seven? We're thirty five or forty seconds ago?
Were like they were undefeated.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Yeah, I know, it's like at least two and both
of them were Doc Rivers teams, right, So.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
I mean, I mean, just unbelievable, and somehow they were
able to come back close out the Bucks. But the
big thing happened after the game. What was he holding up?
What exactly was he.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
It was where I couldn't see.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
It was big, so it was bigger than a T
shirt look like it. I think it was a towel
of the Sun's face. Yeah, it was a big town.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
And he held it up in Gianni's face like he
ran up to Gianni's And you know what I'm all
for about celebrations, all that kind of stuff that was
out of bounce, that was foul and should never happen.
I don't care how excited you are that your son
hit the game winning basket.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
It's the first round of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It's not like the miraculous they won the NBA Finals
in Game seven, because you know what I mean, they
scored eight points in the last thirty five seconds, and
even then you couldn't do what you did just terrible. Yeah,
and I'm gonna say this and then I'm gonna let
you go. It's clear what the NBA needs to do. Daddy,

(07:48):
Halliburton should be banned from the postseason for the rest
of the year, not a lifetime ban. But if that
was a fan, there's there's no way in the world
they would let that guy back in the building. And
I get it, his son's an NBA player, star on
the Pacers and all that. That behavior was uncalled for, unjustified, unprofessional.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Unparent like.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
The NBA can't do that because if they allow that
to happen, then you opening the door for other people
to run out there. Seriously, you cannot. He has to
be punished and not a slap on the wrist.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
So I could not, unfortunately agree more because you know,
I like to go oppose you, and but that's not
the case. I'm gonna break down a couple of things
why this was just all bad. Number one, do you
know who was rated the most overrated player in that
a poll that was done that they did the Athletics
anonymous poll. They behold a bunch of players and they

(08:50):
came up with the most overrated player with fourteen percent
of the vote. It was Tyrese Haliburton most overrated player.
You and I have sat here man, Remember it was
Tyree's Haliburdad Aaron Fox, which one ooh, the Kings have
so much talent? What are you? And all of a sudden,
we're like, man, he's kind of falling off a little bit,
or he didn't progress, he's kind of regressed a little bit.
You know who's been spectacular the last little bit of

(09:10):
the season. And you know who was spectacular last night?
And we had Steve de Seger sit up here and
break down the last three minutes of him in the regulation.
A block, a steal, a bucket shot here, two free throws,
he scrolls into the overtime, scores a bunch in the overtime.
Tyreese Haliburton should be being celebrated today, but instead over
zealous Pops and I know he loves his son, but

(09:32):
got too caught up in the moment forgot this is
supposed to be a professional Arena.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
West say this ain't aau.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
This satan in the backyard with all the uncles and
cousins and now we're talking about you. We're talking about
you should be suspended. We're talking about maybe fine or this,
that and the other. Instead of celebrating Halliburton finally having
his moment, because in the regular season, you make your
name the playoffs. You make your fame, and he had
an opportunity to do so, so we're not talking about that.

(10:02):
That's where it was bad by Dad. Also, you run
up on Giannis and Yanni's just lost a tough game.
Jannis was emotionally sad right after that, right after he's
trying to be having his moment of solace, and it
reminded me of the mouths in the palace, because you
know this, everybody gets mad at run our tests at
the time pre Meta, he actually went to lay on

(10:24):
the scorers table to cool out because him and Ben
Wallace were about to get into it, and he was
like nah na. He tried to like, let me just
cool out, and then they threw the beer on him.
And I say that to say, Jannis is like having
a little zenful moment, like, man, can't believe we just lost.
He said afterwards. We were trying to win this game
for Dame Damian Lilly came back early for us and
we wanted to. And now somebody's in your face talking smack,

(10:47):
calling you out your name, cursing at you. And if
Yannis were to snap and sock Dad up a few times. Now,
Giannis is fine, Now Jannis is suspended. Now Giannis is
a bad person. And now you so you took your
son's moment, and then you'll almost made put Giannis in
the position where now Giannie looks like a bad guy
because he gave that a two piece in a biscuit.
It should have been a six piece. Yeah, he might

(11:07):
have got a whole six piece. And so that's why
with that. Now does Dad need to be suspended for life?
That he needs band for life? Band for the whole
year or two, No, but the rest of his postseason, pops,
you gotta sit back. Maybe you can come in arena
and be in the back in the tunnel, but you can't.
You can't be in the game and the see and
and and you know, sitting down and joining.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You can't justify it. And on inside the n b A.
Of course, there was a little conversation. Shack didn't think
it was a big deal, all right, and uh, everybody
else disagreed.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
Here, let's hear thatsed to be on the court talked
to him. Forget all, No, he was on the court.
So what do you think he said something?

Speaker 9 (11:47):
He probably know he Dad is said something because he's
on the court.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
In his face.

Speaker 9 (11:53):
What you can't do that, You can can't do that
said something that So you're thinking that would his dad
know his dad was.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
Broa said something to him.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
No he did not, No, he not.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Look what is this man doing on the court.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
His dad is not supposed to be on the court? Dad?

Speaker 9 (12:14):
You want to he's an idiot.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
If you think that's right, you're an idiot.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
To No, that's no.

Speaker 9 (12:20):
I'm just telling you that dad is an idiot. And
if you think you're an idiot too, I'm.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
With syauw Man.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
You ain't Chuck ain't wrong when he's right, and he
is right right now because there's no other way to
see this. Giannis is by himself, right in his own
little world.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Shaq is acting like it's okay for fans to run
out on the court.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
I just don't even as a player.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Seriously, do you remember when the Mountains of the Palace,
who wasn't.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Say that man because he slipped if he didn't slip, right,
but but he was on the court. If you're Jermaine O'Neill,
I don't know what's going on. This guy could have
a knife, he could come stab me. I don't know
what's going on. I turn around and I'm clocking you.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Yep. And he first ran up on Meta for Ron
at the time, and Ron gave him a two piece
and then Jermaine O'Neills slid in like, ha, dude can
so yeah, I'm absolutely Dad. Pop's got too zealous. Pop relaxed.
All right, Maybe we're we're the old guys. I don't know,
maybe we're out of touch.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Where are you?

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Kelvin and I
are together. We think he should be banned for the
rest of the postseason. He can't come to the games,
even though his son's an NBA star with the Pacers
could go to the finals. His son just won an
incredible game. All that he's over zealous, he never it

(13:40):
could have caused.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Imagine if nid I gotta go defend Tyree could have
been a.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Blows like like like he's supposed to know exactly that
that's Halla Burton's dad when he runs out on a court.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
I don't know who that is. I don't know what's
going on. Who is this?

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Yeah, he Pops did way too much and and I
respect tyres for still, you know, not going off on
dad too much, but did saying that Dad wasn't the wrong.
And Yaan has handled it with class. When we come back,
maybe we might even have y'all. Yan has handled that so.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Well, all right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
we want to hear from you. It is the Odd
Couple on a worship Wednesday, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, right
here on Fox Sports Radio. You know what to do,
stick and stay.

Speaker 3 (14:27):

children of the USA.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 5 (14:41):

Hopefully you're having a wonderful day rocking with your boys.

When today that's expresspros dot Com. All right, Papa Halliburton

(15:07):
was acting the food at the game last night. Rob
and I are talking about it. One time that we
actually agree on something. We both agree that a band
for the rest of the postseason for Pops. He can
come back next year, settle down, He'll be all right,
but this ship drops. No more postseason action for you.
What say you were too harsh?

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Not enough?

Speaker 5 (15:23):
Just your thoughts on the horror deal eight seven, seven
ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
This is right, Big Mic in Wichita. You're in the
eye couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Big Mic?

Speaker 8 (15:31):
It was going on, Robin cow how you doing. Appreciate
you taking my car? I'm great, man, Hey, I'm with
you on he should be banned for the rest of
the playoffs. Man, to make me believe that that Halliburton
was raised by his mom, because you know, they say
that appleedom fall far from the tree, but I would
say that you got to grow on a tree, and

(15:51):
I'm thinking that he grew on his mom's tree, because
that young man is always most respectful. Yeah, you know,
to a fault sometime, you know, those type of things,
and so that's nothing like his dad is doing something
totally out of character than what he would do. And
that's what makes me think that man he'd been raised
by his mom and his dad, is fortunate enough to

(16:12):
be in his life.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Now, Yeah, it looks like it does look kind of crazy.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
I mean, I'm not gonna go that far because it's crazy, Like, yeah,
Pops could have went over zealous, made a dumb mistake
and needs a pay, you know, pay by not coming
the game. But I'm not gonna say he didn't raise
him like that. That's I hear you. But that could
be a little crazy.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
It just seemed like the act I've never seen anybody's fault,
not even LeVar A.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Ball Ran, now you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Like that, Martin's had some moments, remember Shannon sharping team,
he about to lift up the whole Staple Center.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
But you know what I mean. But on the court, yeah,
I've never seen that.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Adam in South Florida, you're in the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
What's up at him?

Speaker 8 (16:49):
Hey man?

Speaker 3 (16:50):
How you doing doing great?

Speaker 8 (16:52):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (16:52):
So I actually disagree with the last call or because
I think Halliburton actually is building a reputation for a
guy who's extremely petty when it comes to his own
trash talk, going back to the stuff with Detroit and
the Tim Hardaway family and respects, And my thing is
I respect trash talk the way Michael Jordan used to

(17:13):
do it. When guys talk trash during the game, inheated
moments where the game is still in the balance, it
becomes a mental warfare. Strategic Caliburton is building a reputation
for only talking trash when his team already won or
happens to be up twenty. And this is why a
lot of the guys in the NBA, he rubs them
the wrong way. And even if he's not overrated, they
voted him that because he rubs them the wrong way.

(17:34):
And to me, you could see that the apple doesn't
fall far from the tree because that's exactly how his
dad was acting. I doubt his dad would ever go
up to somebody like Giannis in the streets and talk trash,
But because it was on TV, on the game, he
feels like, Hey, my son already won. Let me rub
it in. Let me rub salt in the wound. So
I thought, I think Halliburton acts like that all the time,
acts classless like that all the time. And I think,

(17:56):
what his dad did was classless. And they're to me,
shack Check's wrong about two things. One free throws count
all game, not just in the fourth quarter. So if
you miss your free throws, they count.

Speaker 8 (18:07):
He doesn't make them when they count.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
On second thing is yeah, And the second thing is
wrong about is this you come on to a court.
I wouldn't blame you know, Joannie, if not Breton and
decided to act a certain way.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
We just talked about Jermaine O'Neill. Right, you're on the court.
This is supposed to be our domain, doubt Thanks for
the call. Appreciate it. Yep, this ninety four feet is
our domain, not you guys.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Ryan in New Orleans joined the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Ryan, Randy?

Speaker 5 (18:37):
What's happening?

Speaker 8 (18:39):
Uncle Can?

Speaker 10 (18:40):
On the Worship Wednesday. That's why this is my favorite show.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Appreciate you, I appreciate you.

Speaker 10 (18:47):
Thank you just quickly.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Man.

Speaker 10 (18:50):
I don't know if this is an NBA game by the.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
AYU game you close, right, Yeah.

Speaker 10 (18:54):
I'll tell you that this story. You think this was
ay you, But I will say this, I don't think
for the playoffs is enough because it's probably only gonna
be four games.

Speaker 8 (19:03):
Oh wow, Do what you would do if this was.

Speaker 10 (19:06):
The standing there right on to the court and did
the same thing, because it could have ended bad no
matter which way you look at. If Gianni's wasn't a
man of self control you're talking about through to the
spirit on his worship Wednesday, Yeah, didn't have self control. Man,
this could have been ugly. And if Jannis, you know,
goes upside the head of an old man who's a father,

(19:27):
that would have been a bad look for the NBA. Again,
I think the rest of the playoffs might be a
little bit too short. I might need to go into
the regular season also, Man, I.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Appreciate you, Randy.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
I can see his point. I can see his point.
But what if they go to but what if they
go to the channels right? And then that would be
for him the Nazie his kid. Last year they beat
to the West.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
I remember they went to the Eastern Conference finals lost.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Giannis wanted to give him a two piece. But to
his point, Jiannis was living in the spirit, operating with
self discipline and discernment. Because he wanted to hit him
and they got got real.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Should have is this Zane in Memphis? You're in the
yyd couple of.

Speaker 8 (20:05):
James, Okay, j Rob Barnitue, Big Bills, barbecue.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Baby, Oh, what's up?

Speaker 3 (20:10):
What's up? How you hold on? If you don't fed
them swean, if you don't FedEx some barbecue up here,
and we need to get some in l A. We
need it bad all right? What you got here?

Speaker 8 (20:20):
I wish I could come down and get it to you.

Speaker 7 (20:21):
Guys.

Speaker 8 (20:21):
If John coming to mephis man, I told you.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
I told you I'm coming. I am. I'm gonna make
a trip.

Speaker 8 (20:26):
Even though they don't go boom, don't go to the
running boot to go, none of the mother joints come
to Big Bills man By.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
I got you for real quick.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I will say this right here.

Speaker 8 (20:37):
I was.

Speaker 10 (20:38):
I w was suspend him. I would suspend him for
the rest of the season, for the playoffs, come to
the game and or put him into the high stands
or whatever.

Speaker 7 (20:48):
But I was different.

Speaker 9 (20:49):
Find his son maybe.

Speaker 10 (20:51):
A couple of hundred thousand dollars hundred thousand or something
like that, and really, uh.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
What it is doing a little bit? What is something?
I said? What? What what a tye?

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Well, no, no, you can't find No, it ain't like
the Falcons thing nowhere.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
The dad left the information, that's responsibility. Like that's different.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
But I mean technically they could be like we gave
you the ticket, ty your daddy acting crazy on your ticket.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Ty didn't do anything.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
He can't And that's the worst part. My last point again,
he balled out and we're not talking about it. Tyree's
balled out. A great game, was clutch, and we're talking
about dad. And that's why Dad, You're not supposed to
steal your moment from a child like that. But that
Manti all right, we got funky Coolee Medina, Mark Weadina
getting ready join us in a bit right now?

Speaker 3 (21:40):
What's trending?

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Yeah, you guys are on it, no comment, Yes, there's
nothing to doubt you guys are on it. Instead of
talking about Tyrese Halliburn or talking about other things, this
is a discussion and it's embarrassing. Whatever the reason, it's
just embarrassing. And I think it's like, let's just because
if you if you let this slide, it just kind
of like opens up that can of worms for like
other people to feel like they can.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Watch what I'm saying. You're the NBA, you cannot act
like nothing happens.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
With Raymond Green.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
It might have been as absolutely and and you honest
didn't even know who that guy was in the first
initial interaction, so I wouldn't have blamed him either.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
If he was I would I would know that your dad.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
There's four hundred players in the league.

Speaker 6 (22:22):
Absolutely absolutely, I'm with you guys totally. Well, the NBA
playoffs do continue with Game five between the Warriors and
the Rockets. It's set to tip off any minute now
from Houston. Golden State does leave the series three to one,
then the Timberwolves are going to try to eliminate the
Lakers in their Game five, which tips off at ten
Eastern from.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
La More Baby Oil to Night suitcase. This just didn't.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
When it comes to the NBA, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson
Daniels has won the twenty twenty four twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
NBA Most Improved Player.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Of the Year Award.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Dyson Daniels of the Hawks has officially won that. In
the NFL, the league has fined Atlanta Falcons two hundred
and fifty thousand dollars and has also fine defensive coordinator
Jeff Ulbrick one hundred thousand dollars after Olbrick's sun Jack's
pranked Quarterbacks Door Sanders.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
During the NFL Draft.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
In Major League Baseball, the Padres outscored the Giants five
to three, so San Diego wins the two game series.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Right now, Yankees are losing to the Orioles four to two.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Bottom of the third inning.

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Aaron Judge did it hit his tenth homer of the season,
but Ryan Newcastle followed with a two run homer. Ramon
Arias gave the Orioles a lead.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
With a solo shot.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
At Lee Rutchman added an RBI single, so that's four
to two right now. Bottom of the third In Baltimore,
the Pirates are up on the Cubs, win zero. Bottom
of the third inning. The Cardinals have added some more
runs after a three run home run from Wilson Contreras.
They're up on the Reds five zero, top of the
third inning. This is game two of their doubleheader, and
earlier today the Cardinals won six to six to zero.

(23:48):
The Phillies are up on the Nationals three to one.
Bottom of the third inning. Kyle Schwarber with the three
run shot. The Royals up on the Rays two zero.
Bottom of the second inning. The Red Sox are beating
the Blue Jays to zero after the well bottom of
the first siting. Coming down to the final out for Toronto,
Raphael Devers scored on a bock and then Alex Bregman
hit a solo shot for Boston and the Dawyers have

(24:10):
won five in a row.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
To Wonder Freeman, he swings and he drives one deep
to right.

Speaker 7 (24:14):
Failed it is back, it is gone.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
A home run for Freeman, a two run shot.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Emma, Dodgers.

Speaker 6 (24:22):
Wait at eight to three, You know I had to
play that A and five seventy.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
LA Sports Dodgers Radio Network. Five in a row. They
did beat the Marlins.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
I was there twelve seven. I left before the game
was over, but twelve seven was a final score against
the Marlins. The NHL playoffs also underway. Canadians and Capitol
scoreless halfway through the first period.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
So this is a replay, Yes, oh, it's we're trying
to figure. I'm like, I swear he was in the
building earlier.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Right, Why what?

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Why is the game starting at so weird? I was like,
I didn't understand.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
It's it is over.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Back to you guys, all right, Monzi, thank you.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
It is the couple Robin Calvin on a worship Wednesday,
and we're joined now Bye, Mark Funky Cole Medina, Fox
Sports Radio, NBA insider and Rob Parker instigator.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
He gets them going, Oh hey, Mark, I didn't see
you there. What's up?

Speaker 7 (25:12):
Mark Calvin? You're one hundred percent correct. I'm here before
Lakers Wolves Game five. And I'm sure Rob Parker somehow,
how great of a coach? JJ Redick, it's for this one.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
That's right coaching. I'd like to listen to the show
all the time.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Absolutely, let's start here before we get to that. Just
about Halliburton's dad, Kelvin and I agree. We don't agree
on a lot of stuff, but we think he should
be suspended a band from the rest of the postseason
for running out on a court.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
It just should not happen.

Speaker 7 (25:43):
One hundred percent agree. I mean, just keep in mind, guys,
what if a fan, any fan did that too, y'all
after the coopol or any NBA player, they would have
been thrown out immediately and banned for life. I mean,
it's just unacceptable. Now, you know, Joannis took the high
road and study wasn't offended, but it was just very
bush league. I mean, for an adult dad to try

(26:06):
to intervene in some sort of trash talk. That's just
if I'm Tyris Howiburn. Now I'm embarrassed about it because
he look and that's a.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Big game, and it takes away, absolutely takes away from
Tyburton overplays, overrated player, they got rated by the players,
finally having his big shining moment in the playoffs and
now we're talking about this.

Speaker 7 (26:25):
Yeah, I mean, let Tyr's Haliburton to take care of
the trash talk. And he had the game and he's
a grown adult. He doesn't need, you know, daddy to
stick up for him. So you know, I know they
have a closer relationship, but you know, let him be
an adult.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
It was.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
It was very disappointing. The suit.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Yeah, kind of crazy.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
Well, stay let's get there. You're there right now, getting
ready for the game. Laker's done and cooked tonight or
they got some hope.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
He never underestimate J. J. Reddick's adjustment. Series said that
you know he's well I said it control Rob obviously.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
You know.

Speaker 7 (27:02):
We it sounded like, even though he downplayed the fatigue issues,
he's probably not going to be playing all five starters
second half. He even you know, uh was opened or
lineup changes, but I don't. I think the Wolves have
this series, to be clear, in all seriousness, but I
think that at least for Game five, I could see
the Lakers taking it because they're at home. There's gonna

(27:23):
be a lot of you know, excitement around the fan base,
and I think when you're looking at Minnesota, they are
the real deal. But they have had a tendency to
let their guard down when they feel like they're not
the underdog. And even though Anthony Edwards has talked to
his teammates about it, Mike Conley's talked to his teammates
about it, it's human nature for them maybe to not

(27:44):
have their foot on the gas pedal.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
But I think that that.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
Only sets them up for a Game six Minnesota Friday,
where you know, the Wolves wind up winning this and
advancing on to the next one.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Yeah, or the idea, I mean, don't forget you thought
everybody thought the Lakers wou'd be locked and loaded for
Game one and they I punched in the mouth, you
know what I mean? Like, you can't assume that the
Wolves are going to roll over are.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Just while we want to win at home?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Like you bet right, You bet you better come out
and be ready to play, because.

Speaker 7 (28:13):
One hundred percent I thought game one, with the Lakers
having home court advantage, they had a whole week, yes
the cards, you know Lebron's James forty year old body,
and they came out as if it was a second
night of a back to back on a long road trip.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
It was.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
It was really disappointing to say that. But you know,
I think the bigger part here is Anthony Edwards is
taking this game to another level. The whole team is
pretty mature. They're not afraid of the moment, and I
think that fatigue and lack of bench steps gained the
best of the Lakers, and the Wolves are taking advantage
of that.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
No doubt.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
What about the Warriors and the Rockets. The Rockets trying
to extend this series, they're at home. Uh, do you
give them a chance tonight because because even when the
Warriors are beating them, they haven't blown them out.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Yeah, I give them a chance to win tonight. You know,
as we saw in Game two, they are very physical,
They're not afraid. I don't think it's about other young
and not use to the moment. I think it's just
more the fact that the Warriors have Steph Curry on
their team and Jimmy Bummer when he's healthy is great.
When he wasn't, they had other key players fill you know,
very needed positions. But I think the best case scenario

(29:19):
I'm giving the rock Rockets is they take care of
business tonight to extend the series, but then that sets
up the Warriors to close it out. I think now
that Jimmy Butler's back and Steph Curry is still playing
a high level, They're going to go on to the
next one and we'll see a very entertaining Warriors Wolves
second round matchups.

Speaker 5 (29:37):
Mark, let me ask you this. I was reading an
article the Athletic and they had a bunch of reporters
and writers and they kind of talked about the physicality
and I was a little disappointed. Some of them are like, oh,
it's a little too physical, and you know the playoffs
with this, and I'm like, so we're complaining for years
that they don't care and it's not physical enough, and
it's now So I was like, what are they damn

(29:58):
did they do then that they can't? So I've been
enjoying the physicality as Rocky Warriors, of this Denver Clippers,
of the Pistons, Knicks.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
What about you just seeing kind of some of these
games have been a little bit more lower scoring and
harder files revs, letting them play a little bit.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Is it just me?

Speaker 7 (30:15):
Oh No, it's not just due. I've loved it too.
I mean, this is what playoff basketball should be about,
as long as it's competitive. I think, you know, at
least for one player. I talked with Steph Curry's trainer
the other day, Brandon Payton. He said that he loves
the physicality, like the fact that he's facing this young
Houston team that's trying to test him and throw young
bodies at him and double team in him. He was
saying that Steph loves it. So I think there are

(30:37):
some players that still love that old school competition. But
I think that where some of the frustration might be
is that the game isn't always called consistently. You know,
shoot around a day with the Wolves, Rudy Glbert was
talking about that the Lakers have been lamenting how Jaden
McDaniels tripped Luka Doncic, and then you know, practice yesterday

(30:57):
Chris Finch was going back at him, saying, if you
look at every single playoff game, every single play could
be a foul. I think that's really the source of
frustration that teams feel like it's not always consistently called.
But I think at least most players have talked to
have said, yeah, they love the physicality. That's just what
the playoff basketball should be about.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Yeah, I agree, though it's inconsistent, and it's got to be.
It's it's like an umpire. If you know he's calling
a low strike, right mark, then you better be you
better be watching for it and better protect the plate.
As long as he's consistent, We're all cool with right,
We're all cool. We know what you're to call them
to night. Yeah, the other one, what was the other series?

(31:36):
I wanted to ask, And just one last thing on
the Boston Celtics.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I mean, they took care of business and whatever they
had to do. How strong did they look to you?
I mean it's pretty incredible.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
Yeah, it's I think that we're just seeing We're going
to see what we've been anticipating all along. Boston Cleveland,
the Eastern Conference Finals, and it's whoever's healthiest at that
at that point, And I think it's very critical when
you're looking at both teams that they've taken care of
business in their first round of punchs. They're not messing
around because they know that a lot of times in
the playoffs it's the game of attrition and that winds

(32:08):
up making a difference. So, uh, flip a coin.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
And maybe after last night's Miami lost, pat Riley should
step down.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
You know, you know he's still stuck, stuck into the
stone face. It looked like he was turned the stone.
He was sitting there and I think a bird flew
on his shoulder.

Speaker 7 (32:25):
Wow. Wow, I think he was plotting the next off
season mood. I'm just gonna throw this down in the universe.
I expect that he will be very active this summer.
As far as addressing the Rock, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
Why you say that they never get anybody? Did I
say that out loud?

Speaker 8 (32:41):
Change gonna change?

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Mark enjoyed that.

Speaker 7 (32:44):
We'll play it back in a few months.

Speaker 5 (32:45):
Yeah, I bet you will have us destroy to take
when you're wrong. All right, Mark, appreciate you man, Thank
you as always.

Speaker 7 (32:51):
I appreciate you, and I'll cluck my bet in a
few months.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
All right, and the off season we got you.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Yep, hey she sheckle City on the way, and so
uh Bill Belichick had a little few words for all
of y'all out there. We'll tell you what that was.

for Freeman up two run shot Emma Dodgers lead it
AHA three.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
AM five seventy eleven LA Sports. Right there, Freddie Freeman
player to Play of the Day and you were there, Monsa,
you said you were at the game.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
You enjoyed a little bit of that. Yeah, it was
a lot of fun.

Speaker 6 (34:11):
I mean the moment everybody got excited though, was when
Max Munsey hit his first homer of the season, because
he has been lacking, but that was that was the
moment where.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
I find it says just thank god he has some
cute key moments because did you just looked at numbers
over the last few seasons.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
Absolutely, yeah, yeah, yeah, but it was very exciting. I
was surprised that so many people were there. It's like
nobody works here. Yeah, nobody works here in La.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Yeah, nobody has jobs.

Speaker 6 (34:34):
Nobody has jobs. I work, you know, also I was
there something I worked, But so many people are there.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
You work ish? I probably work Ish?

Speaker 6 (34:41):
Yeah what are you talking?

Speaker 5 (34:42):
What are you about to say?

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Maybe they work the second shift at night.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
Have shift jobs in LA like me. That's why Monday
mornings are easy to drive in LA and Friday mornings
to eat because people like I ain't going to work
on Friday. Absolutely, they tell.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Their boss when they come in. I ain't coming in
to day, all right? It stop for chex.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
City, okay two Shekel City, the home base for Rob
Parker's day Dicks against the scrap.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
I had to do all right, one and two last night, Okay,
ten and five in the last four and a total
of one thirteen and one fifteen in Utta.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
I'm mad at it.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Contrary to popular belief, you think I always picked the
Lakers to lose, I'm taking the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
Up and they lose tonight.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Minus five and a half?

Speaker 5 (35:32):
Dang it? You like Charles Barkley, I garrote a shoot
taking the Rockets minus three and a half. They're all
good on that one right now. But it's not good Mas'
something to say that, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
And then I got the Arizona Diamondbacks minus one and
a half. They're taking on the Mets in New York.
So Diamondbacks minus one and a half, Rockets minus three
and a half, and the Lakers minus five and a half.
The best bet. And remember, I'm not telling you who
to bet on. I'm telling you who I better. Oh,

(36:04):
all right, almost hurt myself? Are we gonna put the video?
Got to put for those who alse were you worried.
I mean, like at all. You know, I bounced back. No,
I was definitely worried. Ahead, what were you gonna say?

Speaker 3 (36:17):
No, that was just the one time anyone's ever been
happy to have Iowa Sam in the same room last
there we go. Well it was lucky because I didn't
really I thought Iowa Sam was a piece of the
furniture here.

Speaker 5 (36:26):
So I just he is definitely got. He definitely is
that racist. No, he's definitely got on the couch.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Is that what it was?

Speaker 5 (36:38):
Yeah, well, pizza, the fur chairs are black. Okay, I'll
tell you what. Yeah, I was saying, I'm not I'm
not actually sure he ever leaves the building. All right,
real quick. Bill Belichick put out a stationment. All right,
Bill Belichick put out a statement today. Obviously you know
we had the conversation about him and his girlfriend, uh
and what all happened there. So I'll just read it

(37:00):
little bit of his statement that he put out, because
this is where it gets interesting. He said, I agree
to speak with CBS Sunday morning to promote my new book,
The Art of Winning Lessons from my Life in Football.
And he goes on to say, prior to this interview,
I clearly communicated with the publicist, I'll leave out names,
blah blah. Then any produced promotional interviews I participated in
would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book,
and unfortunately the expectation was not honored during the interview.

(37:22):
I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I
repeatedly expressed to the reporter Tony DOCAPLEI doca Pill that
the producers I prefer to keep the conversation centered around
the book.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
After this occurred several times, Jordan.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
Hudson, his girlfriend with whom I share about the personal
and professional relationships, stepped in to reiterate that point to
help focus the discussion. She was not deflecting any specific
question or topic by simply doing her job to ensure
the interview stayed on track. Some clips make it appear
as though we were avoiding the question of how we met,
But we have been open about the fact that Jordan

(37:57):
and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in
twenty one, which means doing the match he was about twenty.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
Yeah, but here's the thing. If he made it clear,
what was the big thing about, like.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Saying it one more time? Yeah, just all like for
him it was a new reporter.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
He could just say, well, you know what in my
research I didn't see exactly how did you meet and
how did.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
They mind's five feet away from the just so if
you see someone in there and you know love.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
And the family whatever, you're like, oh, how'd you guys meet? Exactly?
So they came out.

Speaker 5 (38:24):
By the way. To be fair to CBS a side,
they said, when we agreed to speak with mister Belichick,
it was for a wide ranging interview. There were no
preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly
with this publisher before the interview took place.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
Nobody's gonna have you to come in.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
We've had it on this show where Rob g will
have some guests and they'll be like, don't ask me.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Why you can't ask this?

Speaker 5 (38:47):
And you know what, we said, we'll pass. Thinks we'll pass.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
We're not gonna have you on and not ask you
the most pertinent thing going on in your life.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Sorry. No.

Speaker 5 (38:57):
And a person sitting right there too, that's the keep
like she's not she's sitting here, she's already been dictating.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
You know.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
According to CBS, she had been dictating the interview. Anyway,
she wasn't there. You know, they could have just been,
well she's not here to.

Speaker 5 (39:11):
Move on withever spice on you. But she's there. She's
all involved. And it was like, well, how did you
guys meet? And if it's so public, you would think
he said, no big deal. Look, we've seven times been
on the plane some years ago.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
We want a plane. We're at a sentence.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
We're at a candy store and I met her?

Speaker 3 (39:28):
What on them Willie Wonka?

Speaker 5 (39:32):
See there you go, sugar daddies. You and your sugar
daddy's knowing what sweets to get. Hey, baby love, how
you doing? Hey?

Speaker 3 (39:38):
That's about to be you in what forty eight hours? Huh? Hey?
He said, Spelman costs? How much? I told you? I'm
a splendid Hey? How much is Clark? I must They
don't worry about it, all right.

Speaker 5 (39:48):
Coming to the stage next, it's mocham Here come Mocha
yore bringing the stage of sentiment
