I still was like, I want to experience a little
I'm not.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Mad at you. You aren't even with the heat.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
A little top down action that Wait, I mean that
means hold on, you had to post to something if
the top was down?
Speaker 4 (01:55):
No, no, no, no post, no post. How don't you
feel all right? No post?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
And Elijah is our social media guru. He's the best
in the business. Elijah. All right, Elijah never heard? Yes,
there you go.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
All right, let's get started. Let's get started.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
The NBA Conference Finals are getting kicked off, right, and
we're ready to go.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
OKC in Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, and then tomorrow right the Knicks and the Indiana
Pacers and Rob G.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
Can you set the table?
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Because the OKC Thunders a young team, but the numbers
and everything they put up this year, it's hard to
look at them and not think that they shouldn't be
the overwhelming favorites, which they are, right, Robin and Rob
G in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Oh, they're the overwhelming favorites, and for good reason.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
According to Lamar Mitchell bet MGM friend of the show,
shout out to Lamar and Mitchell everybody over there doing
great work. I texted you guys earlier in the day.
This Oklahoma City Thunder team with no titles, mind you are,
according to BETMGM minus won seventy five favorites to win
the championship of the season. To put into context, the
(03:56):
next closest odds for the number two team is the
new York Knicks at plus four point fifty, which means,
according to Vegas, it's like a forty chance more likely
that OKSE wins than any other team. Adding more into this,
at some point this week, the expectation is shay Gilgess
(04:18):
Alexander will be announced as the runaway winner for the
NBA MVP. On top of that, in the regular season,
are we sure about that? Because Oklahoma City Thunder, because.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I was sure that Lamar Jacksonar Jackson was gonna be
the MVP, I worked out for you.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
It's a good point, Okay, I'm just regular. Well, I mean,
after he won.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
The first All Pro I was just like, wow, okay, okase.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Somebody trying to tell you set the NBA record for
the highest point differential by any team in the regular season, Yes,
including the Steph Kdie Warriors, including Jordan's Bulls.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, Jordan's Bulls shouldn't be number one because of the
three point ball, right you would say with the yeah,
like now all teams should pass that because of that
of us.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
It's a different game.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Yeah, twelve point nine points per game, and in the
playoffs it's been more of the same. Another went to
seven with Denver but do the first two rounds the
Oklahoma City Thunder are plus one eighty five cumulative score.
For context, they are only forty points behind the Steph
(05:25):
KD Warriors for the greatest point differential in postseason history. Guys,
when you hear stuff like that, facts not feelings.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Facts. Would it be big?
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Facts?
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Would it be a choke job if the Thunder don't
get it done? Number one in this series as Minnesota,
but number two at the end of June.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Absolutely not. Reggie Miller is not showing up to the
door with the choke sign.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
No.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And there's a multiple set of reasons why. Rob g
Here's first and foremost, nobody fully expected them to win,
except for maybe them in their room, meaning they weren't
a consensus for everything you just named the record setting franchise,
record setting wins, point differential, MVP, likely MVP and SGA.
There still was a bunch of doubt. There still was
(06:15):
a bunch of us who went, yeah, I don't know,
I gotta see, and a lot of us felt like,
they are they gonna earn it, They're gonna bump some bruises.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
Can they do this?
Speaker 1 (06:23):
And so to me, you can't be a choke job
when we didn't expect you to win. And again there
are people who probably picked them, but they weren't a consensus.
This isn't a KD with the Warriors. This isn't a
Michael Jordan ninety six seven eight Bulls if they lost
to the Jazz, like, oh, what a choke job. This
is not that where it was a given. And this
ain't the same NBA seven years now running. We're gonna
(06:46):
have a different champion. So this isn't where we had
the Bohemoth. This isn't Shaq and Kobe losing to the
Nets Mack and O two or something like that. This
is not that or losing to the Pacers earlier. This
is not that there's no bohemit, there's no giving and
you could argue a case for all four teams having
a chance to win.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
So to me, they're fighting to not be.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Viewed as in Atlanta Hawks when they won sixty games
and had the number one seed in twenty fourteen twenty
fifteen season, or maybe some of those Derek Bulls teams
that were number one seed in the East and Derek
Rose was an MVP but they lost in the playoffs
to Lebron because none of us really thought they were
going to get to the finals. To me, they would
be more like that where yeah, great team record wise,
(07:33):
and they lost, but we didn't expect them to get
to the finals. Alloy those Hawk teams, Allow some of
those Raptor teams with de Martin Rose, and allow those
Derek Rose bulls Let bulls led teams.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
I know Rob g doesn't believe in it, and he's
ready to give them the Heimlich maneuver and all that
that they could choke. I just young team about experience.
Could they get there and lose? Yes they could? Uh.
The second the round against Denver was more reason why
I could question them. And that's because Denver took them
(08:08):
the seven games without another star, like seriously, right, like
like let's be honest, right, Uh, Murray was heard a
little bit right, Gordon, and and they it took them
seven and I know they blew them out, so you
feel like better about it, But it was a seven
game series, the one like they rolled over Denver.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Denver fired as coach.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Uh, you could have looked at a couple of things
and said they held down the joker two games, right,
So so you could have looked at it and said, wow,
that that that they should be there. I think that
the expectations should be there. But it wouldn't be a
choke job if say, uh, the Knicks just say I'm
(08:49):
just throwing out, say the Knicks with the Brunton who's
won two college championships and kat and and mckel bridges
and they like the Okay, you you know what I'm saying, right,
and that that team that has been through that journey
and has won a national championship, as you said a
couple of times with a couple of those guys could
(09:09):
come in and win and win this thing. And then
you would look and say, Okay, it wasn't their time
the first time, but that they're close and that they
could get there. So I wouldn't look at it like
that now, you know. I mean, what do we see
when Lebron went to his first championship and they got
swept if you remember right by San Antonio, Lebron got swept.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
I'm not saying that this team is gonna get swept.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
I think they're better, yeah, obviously, and defensively, when you
have a defense like that, the number one rated you're
going to be in a lot of games, and you
have a chance to win most games.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
So there's a lot of stuff on the plus side,
rob G. But I choke.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
No.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
I could say if they.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Lose, they weren't fully ready, not ready for prime time,
a little green. But for a team that's mostly made
up of young players and in this position for the
first time, I wouldn't call it a choke.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
No.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Average, the average age is twenty four plus on that team,
the youngest team in the league, and there are college
teams in March Madness that were older than them.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Literally.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
First of all, there's some March Madness teams that I
swear went to high school with me. At least you
robbed you. I got some years on you. At least
you They gotta quit playing. I know with some dudes
that I know, I knew a few Davante's, I'm like, no,
that was Avante from Fifth Street. But this team, to me,
is not built up for the ideal of choking. Now,
can you choke? If you're up three to nothing in
lose a series, up three to one and lose a series,
(10:31):
that would be a choke job. But the idea of
them not going to the finals, No, I don't think
anybody would other than themselves. Who I'm sure they man
with our season, it's our time, Sure they believe it.
Nobody would be shown at this rate these four teams.
There's not a single team that I'm blown away wins.
I think your choke job can only happen when you
have had the sustained sex, sustained success. You could argue
(10:55):
the Celtics was more of a choke job this season.
You guys have been to a finalist, you won one
recently well, and the two twenty point losses, that's going
those to twenty point losses at home? About the reigning finals, MVP,
you got one of the best players in Tatum. You
guys have just won the finals. That to me is
more of a choke job than if OKC were to
(11:16):
go down to this and.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Since they were, they were able to build those leads.
It's not like the Knicks came in and.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Exactly dominating the games and you lost, So to me,
that would be a choke job. You gotta have sustained success.
So again, if the Dodgers somehow, you know we're playing
some I can't even think.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Who's the low right now? The low team in there
right now, and.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
You know it just and you'd be like, oh, they're
prohibited favor. Let's go to Mariners, prohibited favor. Like then
you'd be like, oh, wow, the Yankees somehow playing the Rockies,
you know what I mean, you'd be like, prohibited okay,
And that would be a choke job. If you go again,
a Stephen kd lose to those Toronto Raptors without the
(11:58):
de Rozan, not the Kawhi's, that would be a choke job.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
So you're buying into the choke job if they don't
get there right Yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:04):
And I think you guys kind of made my point
for me because as you mentioned, there is no season
grizzled veteran left in this final.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Minute, but there are just let me say this one
thing and then I want to hear your point. Two
teams went to the conference finals a year ago. You know,
we talked about steps.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
In the NBA. Indiana was there they lost? Timberwolves were
their they lost?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Like this might be uh, a man's natural step, would
you know what I mean? And then boom, here's his
other chance. So this might be a second chance, but.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Go ahead, sure, and and that that's historically I would happen,
so you would say if you wanted to play that game.
OKAC losing last year was in Game seven. I think
to Dallas that was their stepping stone. They had to
take their loss for they could win. But there is
no grizzled veteran champion in their way. And the biggest
(13:00):
thing is all of the teams that we would have
said coming into the playoffs are legitimate inner Circle contenders
have been eliminated. Cleveland's gone, Boston's gone in the East.
In the Western Conference, nobody took Houston seriously, so it
was Luca Lebron and the Lakers. Jogic is gone and
(13:21):
on an outside chance, Stephan the Warriors.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
Who's left?
Speaker 6 (13:25):
You have to get through an unproven Minnesota team with
Anthony Edwards who has only been in the playoffs once
in his career. And in the Eastern Conference you're going
to the most recent champion was in the seventies. Like,
everybody is playing on the same level playing field. So
when you factor that in, how do you not say
the team with the best point differential regular season all
(13:47):
time on pace to be the best point differential in
the postseason all time, the runaway MVP, and you have
home court advantage.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
I'll tell you why, Roberie. You bring up great points.
All those points are excellent, But.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
If you don't have a strong two I like Jaylen Williams,
think he's a year two away. If you don't have
Shaq and Kobe, Kyrie, Lebron, Kevin Durant, Steph. Meaning just
Sga does not make just having him alone does not
make it a choke.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
Look at look at the Joker without like seriously and
that wasn't a choke job then, honestly right because he
is the best player.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
But I'm just saying, like, you look at it and
go man, if they had a really good like if
I pair.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
It up a joker to your point, and I'm pairing
Joker up with with Giannis and a Los, That'd.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Be ridiculous, that would be disag I think if.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
The Giannis was in the final four and this was
the rest of the quartet, you guys all say, if
you don't get it done, it's a joke.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
So I don't because he won before.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Because Sga is just now arriving. Hey, yo am I
in the party. He been All NBA First Team for
like a year. He just got to the conference finals
Gianni's has been in the VIP behind the Velvet Rope
Hold of Champagne.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on five eight seven, seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Would it be
a choke job if the thunder don't wind up winning
the title this season?
Speaker 4 (15:09):
We'll continue this conversation next with you.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
It is The Odd Couple on a Trash Talking Tuesday,
Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington right here on Fox Sports Radio.

stay unless you're choking in the USAA, Okay, Mary Miller.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (15:39):

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Add Couple, Rob Parker Kevin Washington living our life like
a golden on a trash Talking Tuesday. Boy, I could
tell the trash talk is gonna get real a little
bit later on today, Efral Salom getting ready to join
us in about six minutes or so. Here what he
has to say about some of these topics. You can
stream this show and all of our Fox Sports Radio
shows live twenty four to seven and the new and
(16:02):
improved iHeart Radio app. All you gotta do is search
Fox Sports Radio on the app, the streamers live and
one of the newest features in the app is that
you can select Fox Sports Radio as one of the presets,
just like the presets on a radio now, So be
short of preset Fox Sports Radio in the iHeart Radio
app and it will always pop up at the top
of your screen.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
So go do that, all right? Is it a choke
job or nah?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
If the Thunder don't make it to the finals or
to lose in the finals their prohibited favors. Rob G
says it would be a choke job. Like Reggie Miller
said to the Knicks. Me and Rob Parker are like, nah,
I mean and I'm supposed to be the negative one. Yeah,
Rob like a shacking Kap Prime shacking Kobe, I mean
Ga and JDub I'm a cupcake, a pushover.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
When it comes to the to the OKC Thunder, e.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Rob Gh, we got today, let's go.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, you'll do it. Yes, you want to get those
numbers up right? Okay?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Rob in Queen join the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
What's up? Rob up?
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Guys, man, let me show me.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Thank you. How many Robs do we need? Rob? Rob you,
Rob now, Rob now, robing Queens. I gotta say this
because and Queens Queens has two point one million people.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
So yeah, you got to tell me where in Queens
because it's too big of a place.
Speaker 7 (17:19):
Jamaica on hillside.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Oh yeah, I know exactly, that's what you know that.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
Okay, I'm not gonna say it's going to be a
choke job, but it will be a big disappointment because
of the record they had, but due to the fact
that the goal that they had to go through, you
had to go through the Joker. You're going to have
to go through Baby Joe and that man. You know,
it's a possibility they make it. They may stub their
toe along the way and trust the young So it
(17:47):
would be disappointment.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
Though disappointment is the right I think that. I think
that's the right word. Rob is over the top with.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
It as over here trying to start up what in
the swap robs is going on today?
Speaker 4 (18:00):
I'm calling you, Robbzie. The rest of his day unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
We had like put on a nice little school lady
even here, and you got on your nice little polo
and now you over here acting all calm and who
are you today?
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Is that lady? Or would you sound it? She on
it today? Drew in New Jersey not Blessing. Right, you're
on the high couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Drew?
Speaker 8 (18:19):
Hey, guys, I don't think it's a choke job, but
like I think Denver was a choke job. And I
don't know. I know you could constantly say that he
is not a second All Star. I don't think that
means much because in the West you're competing against a
bunch of heavy guards. Jamal Murray averages more points per
game than Kyrie.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
It doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
But no, for all the West and when the East
was great, Drew in the history, in the history of
the NBA has never been done. You got Can you
give him that it's never been done?
Speaker 8 (18:50):
Jamal Murray? Is Jamal Murray a better player?
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Is Jamal Murray an All Star? Drew?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Or no? Is he an All Star? Okay? There you got?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
Drew.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
I am with you that we're over selling the Jamal
Murray as if he's never like when Dame couldn't get
you an All Star because he was in the way
of all the other guys. We're under selling Jamal and
I need Jamal to step up some more.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Jamal, did you did you watch him at all?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
You thought you thought he played as an All Star
this year? In this in this round he had a
cover of Game. Yeah, but he But that's my point.
It works, that's where Denver depend on. I agree, that's
where Denver is gonna have to realize on is he
the two? Now they owe what forty something million? But
is he the cute? By the way, money is getting crazy.
Michael Porter Junior is oh like thirty six seven eight
(19:35):
million dollars?
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Did you listen? I like some Michael Porter Junior and off,
But that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
They had not That's that's what has to be paid.
It's just it is what it is.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
I know all the other players, the old players, are
just having a heart attack when they see some of
the guys.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
You know, I've sit there with Big Game James. He
Big game James like, let me go, somebody give me
a new set of ease. I'm out there. My goodness,
he ain't make nothing close to that, and he's way
better playing in ninety percent of these dudes e Fram
Salam getting ready to join us to see if he
got some new needs. If you want to get out
there in the court right now, Steve, the saga what's
trend to?
Speaker 4 (20:07):
Steve?
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Steve, thank you very much, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
All right?
Speaker 1 (20:22):
It is The Odd Couple, Rob Parker Kelvin Washington on
the Trash Talking Tuesday coming up in about an hour
and fifteen minutes or so. Can here wait to hear
what you guys have to say? Joining us now as
he always does. E Fram Salam, former NFL offensive line
in Fox Sports Radio weekends.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
E from Salam on x E. What up?
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Brouh?
Speaker 5 (20:39):
What's having?
Speaker 6 (20:41):
Good?
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Good Man good? Can't complain? Uh?
Speaker 4 (20:45):
You wanna this quick conversation we were having? Okay?
Speaker 1 (20:48):
See Rob Jesus broke down all the stats in facts
in Vegas, has them by far?
Speaker 5 (20:53):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
The prohibited favor to win the final choke job? If
they don't win, this.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Is it a choke job? If they don't win? Me
and Ree and Rob Parker's say.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
No, Well, just based on them having the best record
in the league and the uh you know league MVP.
Uh yeah, I would say so because that's the expectation. Right.
They did what they had to do in the regular season. Uh,
they've been good in the in the playoffs. I know
Denver pushed them, uh, you know, to the limit. But yeah,
(21:25):
if you have the m v P on your league,
you have the roster they have. They've been building this roster.
I think it is a choke job because you look
at the gms and press that he's been one of
the top GMS in the league for over a decade.
But for what you didn't what do you have to
show for it? Right, you've had the KDS, you've had,
the hard you've had all the MVPs has no championship,
(21:47):
So I do I do believe. Uh, this is their
year and if they can't get it done now, it
is a choke job.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
All right. The last NBA question on the I I
agree on that. Why why that ain't no choke John?
From US Choke John. It's a choke job against two teams.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
First of all, when you talk about even Indiana and
and you're talking about Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
Both of them went to the conference finals a year.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Ago, and and and the average age of OKC it's
twenty four years old. Like this is their first big one,
and that they got pushed to seven games by a
banged up Denver and a banged up inconsistent number two
guy Murray. Is it something that should alarm you a
little bit that they got banged up, that they would
(22:37):
push to seven games.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
That is great, But did you hear anything that I said? No,
you listen, this franchise has been built, They've had multiple
MVPs within the franchise.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
If they lose, ain't no way unless they were up
three to one and they lose three games.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
That's the only way I can just from I just think.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
The only way that that can be a choke job.
You can't if they're going one, one for one all
the way through. That's not a joke. Like if you're up,
if you're if you have home court advantage, if you
win your first two games at home and then you
win the game on the road and then you lose
the series. Of course, that's anybody, any that's.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Anybody would be joke it off like that as well.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Yeah, I just think the four teams that are left,
any of them could win it this year, especially the
two in the West.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
To me, I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Yeah, but that's to me what makes it while I
just don't see it as a choke. This isn't shocking
Kobe against the Nets where it was like, all right,
just give me well in terms of.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
The organization and what they've been trying to do for
the last ever.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
I get that. That's a good point. I'll give you that.
The organization.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
I mean, how many m vps have to come through
there before you actually win a championship. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
I didn't get your take on rock Party in his
new deal.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Had I been the general manager of the of the
forty nine ers, his new name would be Broke Purty
because he.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
Would not getting you would not be getting the money
that he got. Okay, it would be I'm.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
Sorry, let me ask you this question, and it's a
it's an honest question, Rob Parker, and just suspend reality
for a sake. Let me just ask you this. Yes,
if brock Purty, instead of being the last pick in
the draft, was a top five pick in the draft.
Would you have the same sentiment?
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Absolutely you wouldn't.
Speaker 5 (24:29):
Yes, I would, And let me tell you why.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Because this is why this did.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
But your argument here is is why when people bring
this up about him, Nobody when Kurt Warner went undrafted,
nobody looked at him and said, oh, he can't play
because he was undrafted. Nobody drafted in the NFL. You
know why because when he got out there, even with
the weapons, people knew that Kurt Warner was the real
(24:55):
ding about Okay and the forty nine ers from Here's
my issue is that they had already had this offense
role and they had already gone to the Super Bowl
without Broke Party.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
They had already question let me ask your questions. Did
the Saint Louis Rams have Marshall folk already?
Speaker 4 (25:13):
I said that, yet they have weapons just they.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
Did so so when Kurt Warner came in.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
But did you question whether kurk Warner was good or not?
I'm asking you?
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Did you?
Speaker 4 (25:23):
You didn't question it? Because I watched him.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
I don't question whether brock Party is good.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
After I watched him last year without all the weapons,
I questioned it.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
He had a Pedestrians Season.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
One didn't have a pedestrian year. He never had a
Now when.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
He came into the league, man not been in the
Super Bowl with Brock.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
Procket been in the league. How long? How many years?
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Three years? Now?
Speaker 5 (25:48):
Three years? What has he done in those three years?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
You know?
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I know he compiled numbers. But last year when they
don't have.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
Everybody, they went to the NFC Championship game. He got hurt.
Are they were going to beat No?
Speaker 4 (26:01):
I don't know that for sure.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
I don't know. I don't know. We don't we all
know they were gonna beat I don't know that Philadelphia team. Oh.
He just followed it up with going back to the
Super Bowl the next year. Okay, seems like a winning
quarterback that you can say, oh yeah, piece is here.
Do you realize that you do need a team.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
When he's not a top ten quarterback? To me, he's not.
I don't care what rob see.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
If you said top five or six, about right, that's
ok that's about about fifteen of me. If you look
at the guys who were getting the bread, he is
perfectly where he needs to be. He's not up there
with the other guys and Dak Prescott being number one
he and his agent can look at that.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
I wouldn't have paid Dak Prescott though. What I'm saying,
I'm with that I wouldn't have paid Dak he.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Didn't release that the I don't believe that Dak Prescott.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
I don't care what the market. I'll change them. Mark,
I'm saying he didn't even sat it.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
I know that's fine, and that's why I haven't mortgage
away my team where I won't be able to do
anything else and I won't be able to win.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
They're not gonna win anything. The forty nine is that
windows closed?
Speaker 3 (27:15):
What?
Speaker 5 (27:15):
Good luck?
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Good luck?
Speaker 5 (27:17):
They're scheduled this year. Okay, hold on, just look at
the toe. Look you got so emotion y'all been in
there fighting? What's going on? Guys, y'all been in there.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
I can always I can always.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Feel, man, I can always tell what's going on. Man.
Just take a breath. Man, Look, rib you are loved, Okay,
you are loved. You, you are seen, Okay, you are heard. Okay.
I'm not the one who hurts you. Okay, hurt people,
hurt people. Okay, I'm not the one who's not heard.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
What in the therapy session is going on?
Speaker 8 (27:53):
Right?
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Now, how much did that cost? How much did that cost?
I'm laying down as that cost seventy an hour.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
I got you, man, Look, I'm here if you want
to talk about anything, I'm here for you. Man. I
just want you to know that, all right. But based
on numbers and wins and all of that, brock Party
is most definitely a top ten quarterback. He's based on
his his passing attempts per yar, passing yards per temp,
number one in the league since he's been in the league.
(28:21):
He's number four in the league in touchdowns. He's number
seven in the league in yardage. That's what makes a
top ten quarterback. You do know that. Oh, by the way,
he's won, let's see seventy percent of his games. I
think that makes you a top ten quarterback. If I'm
not mistaken. I may be off on my numbers, but
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
That even we can move on because I've been screaming
it to Rob all season. I told him he was
gonna get paid. He deserves to get paid, and they
did it perfectly. It wasn't crazy, not sixty five million,
fifty three or whatever it is is Absolutely it's only.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
One hundred and eighty billion fully guaranteed for five it is.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
That's perfect. It would have been eighty one million plus
a coup.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
That's the only way I would have say, hey, you
are a former offensive lineman. They're voting. The league is
voting on the touch push. What some say, lot say
get it out of there? Others say, what's wrong? If
you can't stop it, that's your fault. Where are you
on the whole touch push?
Speaker 5 (29:14):
This is where if you don't have to ban the play,
but what you can do is take away the unfair
advantage of the play. If you just simply put in
the caveat and the rules that a player cannot lift
a player up and push him with both of his
feet off the ground to gain yards. Uh. That stops
(29:37):
it right there.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Because in other you could Why can't you do that
on any play?
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Two of your big guys pick up the running bout
and just one forward, am I right?
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:52):
And the opposite would be the defense. Defense can't pick
up a defender and go make push. I mean offensive
player pushing backwards, right, they call it for a progress.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
I can't throw the middle line over the line of
scrimmage into the.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
Like that exactly catapult.
Speaker 5 (30:05):
You can't use your leverage unfair leverage against an opponent.
That's all the rule has to say. And then all
of this goes away. You don't have to ban the
push push, You just have to make it to where
two people behind the quarterback can't physically pick his body
up and slide him over the top of everybody else.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
All right, one last thing, Uh, the Olympics with the
flag football. I'm not interested in that. Are you interested
in flag football for the Olympics?
Speaker 5 (30:33):
Well? I do like it because I think it's a
way for everybody to be able to play. I think
there are schools out here who have varsity, JV and
freshmen women flag football leagues. Like it's flag football is
the next generation. I like it. I don't think kids
should even be playing. It's gonna be hot, taking people
gonna be going crazy. But I don't think kids should
(30:54):
be playing tackle football until they get to high school anyway.
So I like the notion of flag football being on
the global scale because it gives people another option to
play a game a little bit safer, a game that
we all know that grew up loving. I like the
fact that now it can be recognized around the world,
(31:14):
and all it's going to do is get more people
involved in football, which is which is the hope in
the plan.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Anyway, Yeah, I'm with a lot of folks feel like
they shouldn't be playing football. That earlier you started reading
into all the cushions.
Speaker 5 (31:27):
I didn't play football until my freshman year. Eight years
after I played my first football game. I started in
the Super Bowl. You don't need all that foolishness, trust me,
all right, Ephra.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
Man, We appreciate you as always. Brother, I have a
good one, thanks.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
Doctor, brother. Hey Rob you okay, okay, free, thank you?
Just breed okay?
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Hey hey Rob g keep you from on speed down.
In case we need him, we can call him right back.

panic with the Dodgers. We'll tell you it's the Acaba,

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Be sure to catch Live and Day of the Odd
Couple with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven

Speaker 1 (32:12):
This was one of the ones. This is why I'm hot.
It is the Odd Couple. He's Rob I'm Kelvin on
the trash talking Tuesday. Appreciate you hanging out with us
on this day. All right, as you know, it is
timed out for Shekel City today.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
How are you right?
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Rough night for your boy? Oh and three last night?
I hadn't had an own for three and a long time. Yes,
oh and three last night tonight?
Speaker 4 (32:51):
My total is.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
One thirty one okay and one thirty two okay, okay, so.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
Here we go tonight, beste.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
I got the New York Yankees minus one and a
half against the Texas Rangers. All this stuff was of
course posted earlier on social media from our social media guru,
of course, Elijah who Yes, Elijah, So, Yankees minus one
and a half is my best bet in the Bronx.
I got Minnesota plus seven and a half against OKC
(33:21):
in Oklahoma City. I'm not mad at that now they
Oklahoma City can win. Yeah, plus, I'll take the seven
and a half. And the New York Mets was scuffling
big time right now with TV. Oh there we go, okay,
but have the Mets minus one and a half. They're
in Boston taking on the Red Sox. So again, Mets
minus one and a half. Runs Timberwolves plus seven and
(33:42):
a half points and the New York Yankees minus one
and a half runs. And Kevin, Remember what's the thing.
I'm not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling
you who I bet on.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
If Juan Soto were to run harder, you might be
all right with your bet there.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yeah, yes, we'll get to that a little bit later,
say lot, I'm just watching and Queens people are too
happy right now? Things are a.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Little you you rob, you rob for Queens, I order
to have to rob. They caught in anybody from Queens.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
That's right? Two point one million people?
Speaker 3 (34:13):
And get how many reporters from the New York Times
cover the borough of Queens?
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Do you notice?
Speaker 3 (34:19):
Uh, that's one of the New York Times, right is
it should be a New York paper, but it's a
national and international paper, right of course? Twenty one one
Queen's reporter covers two point one million. And all they
do is they stay in the courts, you know, in
cases that come through. Can you believe that the New
York Times one reporter covers Queens.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
That's a lot. How crazy is that that person is tired?
Speaker 5 (34:43):
Whoever?
Speaker 4 (34:43):
That is? How cout a place with two. Peo got it?
Speaker 5 (34:46):
You got it?
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Yeah, I know I can't be there. I can't be there. No, no, no,
you figured out. You got it.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
We talked about before major cities like Detroit and Boston
in their city. Properly got six hundred thousand, four hundred thousand,
five hundred that Saint Louis has two hundred and ten
thousand people inside the Saint Louis.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
Yeah, you know, proper that's crazy. Hey, it's time now
for your tire reck Player of the Day.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Swings hits a soft grounder to second. Kattel has it,
throws to first. It's in time.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
The ball game is over and the Diamondbacks win it
by a final up nine to five.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Yeah, the Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers, now loser of four straits.
The Player of the Day was brought to you by
tire Rack. For over forty years, tire Rack has been
helping customers find the right tires for how, what and
where they drive. Ship fast and free back by free
Roder has the protection with convenient insulation options like mobile
tire installation. Tirack dot com the way tire bids should be. Yeah,
do Dodgers are struggling right? Now struggle lench thing, the
(35:42):
struggle bus they had and lost four straight, isn't it,
rob g Is.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
It twenty eighteen or twenty nineteen?
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah, it's I think it's twenty eighteen. But but it's
been a long time.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
That's ridicting four games in a row, and they haven't
done that since twenty eighteen.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
And you gotta throw in there too. Three of them
were against the Angels, Like you figure, I'm gonna get one.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Just hadn't beaten them three times in three game series
in LA in fifteen years.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
Nop.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
And here's the trouble with it, not again, how did
in sixty two games. I'm not worried, especially as they
slowly are going to start getting some guys.
Speaker 4 (36:13):
Yeah, but what it tells you, But it does tell
you a little.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Something about a The division as well, is way better than.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
Anybody could have.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
I mean, minus the Rockies. Yeah, you look at it.
The Giants are good yep uh yeah, Like like the
Diamondbacks have a really good starting pitching. So when you
look at that, it's not like, Okay, those other guys
are gonna come back and you're gonna roll. No, there's
a there's a there's a there's going to be a
a competition here in the NL West, which I'm not
(36:43):
so sure people thought it was going to.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
And add to that, this is why you want to
start getting right soon. You're in a nice little stretch
where it gets tough. Right you come up. Now, you
got this series with the Diamondbacks, then you have you
go to New York take on the Mets, and then
you come back for the Yankees. We got the Guardians
for a quick one in there in Cleveland, and then
you got to come home and host the Yankees for
a few and then you go back to the Mets.
So it's a rough little stretch here where we're playing
(37:06):
a lot of good yeah, good teams. So you got
to start winning some games again.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
For them.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
A big part of it has been, uh, just the
pitching and you again, we started the season thinking it's
not fair.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
They're gonna have too many.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
How do you decide not to mention Kershaw is gonna
come back eventually, And now you're like, anybody got any
more than pitchers.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
It's it's it's amazing.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
And dred Willis, when I was sitting next to his phone,
rang he said, give me two weeks.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
Yeah, I'm making it back. But but that's the whole
thing about baseball. And we talked about this before. You
could talk all you want about on paper, it doesn't
mean that that's what your season is gonna wind up
being or what you're gonna have going forward.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
And uh, that's where they are there. They're in a
little they're in.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
A little pre curious position aside from the Dodgers and
the Yankees, maybe to two other teams. And you expect
the Padres maybe you know, the break's kind of a
handful of teams you can't expect to be good do
Baseball is just hard to predict.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
I mean what we talk about all the time, no
team has repeated in twenty five years.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
And that's crazy because you've seen some teams that were dominant.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
Right.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
But then when we did that we did that segment,
I started listening all these teams that have gotten in there.
You talk about teams that have made to the World
Series last twenty five thirty years that you would you know,
this is the first time in the Western Conference in
the NBA a team outside of Texas and California.
Speaker 4 (38:20):
It seemed like, was it ninety nine or something.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Like Rangers won the World Series two years ago, didn't
even make the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Last year they won the World Series.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yep, and that's what's great. So baseball is just hard
to just figure out. Again, you'll get one or two
where you kind of know, Okay, the Dodgers, the Yankees
made won two other teams.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
But that's it.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Man.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
There's some beef who sided you on
