So, as Rob alluded to, all signs point to a
divorce happening this soft season between Kevin Durant and the
Phoenix Suns. Anyone you speak to as reputable as all said,
if he's not traded, that would be the shock of
the summer. Well, flash forward to Tuesday morning ESPM. Sean
Sharania went on the Pat McAfee show, and he said
that Kevin Durant and the San Antonio Spurs had mutual

interest ahead of this past trade deadline. Nothing obviously materialized,
but expected two sides to reconvene this off season. Guys,
the reason why that's interesting is number one, because it's
you know, anytime you have Katie on the move, it's
a big deal.

But number two sudden. We talked about a couple of
weeks ago.

As soon as the Spurs got the number two pick
in the upcoming NBA Draft, everybody and their mother started
to link San Antonio that number two pick and Yannis
because we all know that his future in Milwaukee is
also up in the air. So here's the question, guys,

if you are the San Antonio Spurs and you can
go after either one of these big fish KD or Yannis,
which one are you going after?

And why I'm gonna go after KD Because I like
a bargain, So it would be like shopping at Ross.

and it's not gonna cost you all your players. That's
the problem. If you go get Yanni's and you gotta
give up. Right, you just built this young team together
and now the first thing you have to do is

your nucleus what you have, add a player Kevin Durant
this year for the next two years, somebody else down there,

well is accumulate some young talent and also accumulate picks.

draft picks over the next seven years. They have the
most selections in the league, even more than okayc. So
when you have all of those picks, and you also
have obviously a Rookie of the Year and Stephen Castle
Stefan Castle. So now you have some talent, you got

some picks, and I'm going to get Goddess. And the
thing I think we forget about gian Is is he
seems older than he really is. Like, well, because you've
heard of him for so long, Giannis is only thirty.
So if I get five more years of Yanna's paired
up with women y'ama. First of all, let's talk about
the amount of footage and that we can we can cover.
You got a dude that's seven foot a million and

a dude that has a wingspan of about eight foot
with Giannis, so defensively, we're going to be incredible. You
got two guys that can defend, that can block shots,

Aaron Fox, who can actually close games, and that's been
one of the issues with Giannis. D Aaron Fox is
a perfect guy close game, make big shots, make free throws,
and obviously he's not the greatest defender, so I can

If I'm the San Antonio Spurs, no doubt about it.
I got to strike when the iron is hot. The NBA,
with their mercurial draft, has gifted them a number two
overall pick, which gives them the capital and the resources
to go out and get anton Kompo, who already has
not just one for he's got one and a half
f out of Milwaukee. He's trying to bounce and get
up and out of there, and he's looking for the
best possible situation. So he stands around the league. Miami's
(19:58):
in the conversation Golden States in the convers but if
you want to talk about partnering these two seven foot
unicorns coming from the other side of the pond, there's
no doubt about it. That's the best situation. And yes,
if I'm the Spurs, I'm not moving off of Castle
or the Aaron Fox in order to make this mega
deal happening happen. I'm using my young players and I
maybe have to bring in a third team. But the

writing is on the wall. This is the most advantageous
system opportunity for Giannis, and so if I'm the Spurs,
that's my opportunity. With Kevin Durant, Rob you make an
outstanding point. There's a lot of talk about him going
to Houston, you know, and him bringing some veteran leadership
to Houston, so that was already in the mix. The
Spurs might get in there. But if Giannis ends up
going to San Antonio, there might be a good chance

Kevin Durant, who's got to flee from Phoenix because they
that's the dumpster fire and they're all out of there,
there might be a chance that Kevin Durant ends up
on it.

Houston makes a lot of sense for Katie. I mean
that actually, just to me, fits perfectly. Well, they need
another score. They need another guy that to just go
get a bucket. They had a bunch of young athletic defenders,
but they don't got that guy that say, hey man,
we need one. Kevin Durant in Houston is a really
really I like that a lot because it kind of fits.

an Eastern Conference finals with a chance, hey you never know,
win a game in Indiana. Make this thing too too,

especially given how inconsistent they were early throughout the season.

Sharania went on the Pat McAfee show, and he said
that Kevin Durant and the San Antonio Spurs had mutual

interest ahead of this past trade deadline. Nothing obviously materialized,
but expected two sides to reconvene this off season. Guys,
the reason why that's interesting is number one, because it's
you know, anytime you have Katie on the move, it's
a big deal.

overall pick, which gives them the capital and the resources
to go out and get anton Kompo, who already has
not just one for he's got one and a half
f out of Milwaukee. He's trying to bounce and get
up and out of there, and he's looking for the
best possible situation. So he stands around the league. Miami's

in the conversation Golden States in the convers but if
you want to talk about partnering these two seven foot
unicorns coming from the other side of the pond, there's
no doubt about it. That's the best situation. And yes,
if I'm the Spurs, I'm not moving off of Castle
or the Aaron Fox in order to make this mega
deal happening happen. I'm using my young players and I
maybe have to bring in a third team. But the

writing is on the wall. This is the most advantageous
system opportunity for Giannis, and so if I'm the Spurs,

it's a reminder that you just don't have to be

And I think he's been great at that. And I
think somewhere in Dallas Jason Kidd is smiling somewhere, you know,

It's amazing, especially when you and I throughout the season,
we're talking about how bad they were against the good.

They look bad, they were underachieving.

And now again it was like, all right, we're down twenty,
down double digits on the road. We feel right at home.
So it's just been a remarkable to see. So despite
Hollerburn having a really good game this game, they're still
hanging in this thing, down five with the ball three
minutes left in the third, and they're making this thing
a game.

If you're the Pacers, you're right where you want to be.
You're at home. You just don't want to play from behind.
That's what you want to play. And you're not going
to blow them out. I keep telling them, you're not
gonna blow them out because this is for their season,

And I think his team is gonna need him to
be able to set the pace a little bit more,
move the ball around a little bit more, use the
fact that defenses are looking at you, use the fact
that you know teams are kind of spying on you,
to get guys more open shots, because again, this was
year one with Cat, and I think overall, look, they're
an Eastern Conference finals with a chance, hey you never know,
win a game in Indiana. Make this thing too too,

so you'll take the way this season has gone for them,
especially given how inconsistent they were early throughout the season.
But if they're bounce back next year, him and Cat
have to have a better two man game for sure,
