(01:16):
honor of the late Can I say great?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
See that's what happens.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
See if I say great, the recently deceased but recently late, great,
you think it's great?
Speaker 3 (01:25):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I was he the wrestler was Shoot what I mean?
This is where it gets complicated. The wrestler was the
human compromisi.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
That's warm the human the humans just the humans just flawed.
The body's so warm.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
No, I'm saying he was a great wrestler. That's unadbable.
The humans flawed. He's a great wrestler. Just they can
just make it.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
That's there. You go, that's simple.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
That's what I was trying to say. So it's gonna
be a wwww pro wrestler.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
Like, all right, we'll do that first before we get
into this topic. Can I hear your thoughts on this
dating app still? Because that was the tease that that was,
That's what we got deep over here. We were like, oh,
maybe we should go ahead kel It didn't get a
little deep. He got a little I'll just say.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
That is it can get complicated because everyone's interpretation of oh,
such and such with a jerker. He's a bad guy
maybe based off you how you felt about like you.
If you don't like him, then he's weird or something.
But someone else, it wasn't weird to me. He was
complimenting me.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
I liked it. I felt the vibe and now you
get what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
So it could a good dang just where like how
you put somebody as he's a this and how some
other people receive.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
And that's not even counting the extreme version where it's like, oh,
you know, he put hands on me, he was rough
with all that. Once that happens and they have your
name and like where we went on your job right
there on that little app streaming thing.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Good luck man, Why would you do this? The worst
shop talk? It's a great shop talk that I would
love to actually have that we can go the bars
so we could get put you that in the fourth
hour for paywall hour. You gotta pay to hear that,
all right, This one is an interesting conversation.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Rob. You haven't called you all in on this one
at all.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
But this is kind of a fantasy from the Rams
and the idea that they're contemplating on how they can
get the twenty twenty six number one draft, which would
will presumably be arch Manning right, you know, if things
go as plan, if you can play, yeah, if he
can play exactly, so on and so forth. So that
kind of seems like a far out. They got a
couple of first round draft picks the Rams, but the
(03:33):
looks like the projections they're gonna be solid to good.
I mean, they're not gonna be a horrible team to
get that right. You know, you don't sign Davante Adams,
you don't re up with Matthew Severn to be like
we're gonna suck. So that's not the case. But no,
the larger conversation for me is around arch Manning. And
I was saying, Rob g and I going over some things,
and I said to Rob J, I said, look, arch
(03:54):
Manning is in a position that not too many people
can be in in many he walks of life, not
even just college football player, where all arch Manning has
to do is be about a seventy five eighty percent
version of what people think he's supposed to be, and
he's being and he's gonna be the number one pick
if he chooses to come out, because this will be
(04:14):
his first full year as a starter. For whatever reason,
he wants to come back, just because hey, I love
it and il money's crazy.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
But whenever arch Manning says that's it, guess who's gonna
be the number one pig arch Manning. It doesn't matter
if he's above average Soliga. We been hearing about arch
Manning for like a decade now, and he's only eleven. Exactly,
We've been hearing about arts Manning for so long. He's
(04:42):
like a comic book character. He's made out of a
football lab. He's he's a big kid. He can run.
He's at like, I ain't gonna be like moncle pick
one either one of them when it comes to running athleticism.
I'm gonna be able to run, which I do believe
was intentional, because if you were to say, hey, what
was an issue with Peyton? Obviously mobility, statues, statue, So
(05:04):
with Eli a little bit more mobile than Peyton, but statues,
so I do think that they were like, no, we're
gonna make sure he's athletic, Obviously, he's got the size
like the family. He's got the arm like the family,
even Grandpa, you know, even the and I absolutely believe
it's he is going to be hard pressed to not
be the number one pick. He's got the he's gonna
(05:26):
have everything you need, and as long as he's relatively
what people expect, he doesn't even have to live up
to it.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Here's what I mean, Kayler Williams. Once they said Kayler Williams.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Was the number one pick, He's the best prospect we've
seen since Andrew Luck. He was the number one pick,
and he was at a lesser season than the Heisman year.
You know what I mean, Trevor Lawrence man look at him,
he looks the part straight out of Central Casting. That's
the quarterback and then the hair of the arm. The
guns are out. He had a lesser year the second
(05:57):
year than his first year. But who still the number
one pick? That's gonna be Trevor Lawnce and I believe
Arch Manning is in that position where he would have
to be so hard pressed to mess this thing up.
He is going to be the number one pick, regardless
last name Manning. We've been waiting for this. You can
follow in the patriarch and have this thing and we
can fulfill the you know, the dynasty of now what
(06:19):
three generations. And I absolutely believe they're clamoring. They can't
wait for him to just be and it's another Manning.
We know what that means from merchandising standpoint, from notoriety standpoint,
and to credit them the family in the pedigree standpoint
as well. Absolutely like he's gonna be hard pressed to
lose the position number one, even if he doesn't necessarily
(06:42):
fully live up to what you thought. But as long
as he's still in the ballpark of what you thought
one hundred percent, you're right.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
But I think the bigger discussion here, and again I
know I can have these discussions with you, is the
bigger discussion is what you just said. People have already
proclaimed him to be the next picking. Right, What it
really boils down to is other grown men not wanting
to be wrong. Oh think about it that way, right,
(07:09):
you've already said this person is the next he's the
next whatever, he's the number one pick. He's he should
be starting already in Texas. He's got the Manning pedigree,
the Manning blood line. Like he's gonna beat He is
that guy, yep. So now if he isn't, they're all wrong, right,
So I think that's the discussion. Like other grown men
who are supposed to be really good at their jobs
already said this guy is the guy. So if he
(07:30):
doesn't pan out, that's where the fallout will come from.
But yeah, as far as him being the guy, he's
going to be the guy.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
And exactly what you said.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
If he plays eighty percent of what people think he
is and he's at Texas, they're gonna win, They're gonna
be in the mix.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Of course he's going to be that guy.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I like though what you said there, because that often
happens where even in the league, Well, dangy, we have
declared this guy is the number one pick, number two,
top five, top ten, you know he's or he's our
first pick, whether you know, we're riding this thing out,
and a lot of times that happens where you're like,
the tape doesn't look great right now, right, he's just
not what we thought. It's okay, it's okay, but they're like, na, no, no,
(08:05):
I'm the general manager who drafted him, or I'm the
coach who said no, no, no, get me him, I'll
be able to win with him. We gonna make this
thing work. That's a year, two year, three year for you. Like, no,
I'm telling you here it comes.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
This is it. This is the year. And they do that.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Often where they they ride the guys because they drafted
him or heither ride the guy because I spoke up
and I proclaim he was going to be that. And
it happens all the time. And again, I'm not saying
Ursman might be incredible, he might get ready to have
one of the most amazing years in quite some time.
I'm not saying that, but I was saying it for
the Rams. I'm like, I don't know how you think
you're gonna get him. He's not like he's gonna drop
to seven, eight nine, where maybe that's where you fall
(08:39):
so much, your two first round picks wherever they may
be right, and you got a shot at getting him
as your predecessor to Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
That ain't happening.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
It ain't even looking good now because I picked the
Rams to win that division. So they're thinking about that
right now. Then I'm in trouble. You are, yeah, you are.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
And they should. I mean, well, the forty nine ers.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I would imagine they fee they're going to be better
than they were last year. Yeah, the car knows that's
not that's not it. Hold down, don't do it that
that that I'm sorry, Yeah, I know that should that
was a lot that was that was very direct bad.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
I know that should people and the Seahawks you lose DK.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
You're bringing in Sam was he Kevin O'Connell was the
the quarterback whisper? Was that the reason why we got
the best version of him? Questions? You know, questions? So
I'm not Yeah, it should be the Rams. You're bringing
in Devontaems. You still have a Matthew Stafford who's coming
back the running game Reguilliams. Yep, exactly, So it should
(09:35):
be there should be. Listen, they're a drop pass away
or bad play away in the snow in Philadelphia for
being in the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
They were my sleeper team last year. So this is
why I I know so much about them in particular
right now. But they should They should win a division
I think easily. And I know it may not be
that way, but that's the way I feel about. Yeah,
where is Matthew Stafford for you? Hall of Famers hall
of Famer.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah, yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Don't let Rob say Rob Matthew Padford all that. Oh no,
he's a Hall of Famer. Because it's interesting. Yeah, he
now has a super Bowl at the super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Now, ye.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Had some playoff runs now you know, with with with
them and then also even in Detroit made it to
the postseason.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
When making it to the post season Detroit was unheard of.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yes, he is gonna have all the numbers, gonna have
the numbers, He's gonna have.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
The eye test.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
We've been people been drooling about his passion ability for
twenty years now, since college.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Oh my gosh, he's just amazing. Right.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
So it's interesting because Eli is a shoeing for so
many people, not me, I know.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
And Rob G was with me.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
And one of the greatest feelings I've had being a
part of our couple was when.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
We were in Super Bowl Radio row.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
He actually agreed and that night we ended our show,
Robb G and Robb G and I both said nah,
Rob to Parker.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Rob Parker, he ain't getting in Bro.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
And I've been telling you this since the day I
signed a dotted line of B on this show. And
I got back to my room and I was shaking
in my boots. I was like, dank and they better
not with this man. And I've been yelling at for
you and he didn't get in. And boy when we
got that next day and with that the same day
that Josh Allen won MVP two, it was the next day. Boy,
Rob Parker, never in my life if I've seen him
(11:16):
get try to get to a topic that fast for
starting the show.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
So yeah, the Chief said not hey, yeah, woo Super.
I was like, no, no, no, no, brother, Eli, no, no,
let you gloat. He's like, they got it wrong. Bro.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
He wouldn't even let boy me too. But but you
know how he is when the Lions lose or the
Chiefs and the Super. Yeah, I'm like, boy, you took
a bad one back to back. I told you Josh
Allen was winning MV robbed you. We got to open
the show. Were Lions.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
We came back.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
We got about it. We have to but wait, that
was like three weeks ago. It doesn't matter, Rob, you
we have to. We gotta do it, you know.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
My point is I bring it up to say a
lot of people do have ELI just to shoeing in
the Hall of fame, and I'm like, why though, like Virginuaine,
he made no All pros, no point at any point
in his career did you say he was the best
or even considered he was the best or top three.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
You know, he was never in the record in the
re rest of season.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Never you never thought that he led the league interceptions
so many times post his Super Bowl the win dude,
he was like, only won like forty percent.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Of his games.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Oh no, I agree with it. It was just I'm like,
why is he in? And I always said he's in
because of two names? You knew those two names, right, Yes?
His his all name Manning. What's the other one? Brady?
Those because Manning and he beat Brady That's what's gonna
get him in Eventually. I believe not off this to
(12:36):
strip the merit of his talent. I say that to say,
if you're telling me he's all, no, he's got to be, well,
then Matthew Stafford has to be in. Yes, he has
been one of the better quarterback for years. We've known that.
I tests he's a better, you know, better quarterback. He
now has a Super Bowl ring, He's gonna have crazy numbers, and.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
To me, it's like, well, then if Eli's and he's in.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Yeah, Matthew Steppard has to be in. If he's in,
and like you said, Eli is gonna get in. He's
gonna get no question. Manning and ready that's why he's
getting it. Yeah for sure, all right eight seven.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Seven ninety nine on Fox, Arch Manning, if you want
to jump in on this, Arch Manning. Essentially, the conversation was,
when you've become deemed the guy, you almost can unguy it.
You meeting your second year the next time we see you.
Obviously he didn't have a full year this past year,
but you can even be less than we expected but
still be the guy. Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence and other
(13:27):
guys as well. I've been that and you can but
still kind of not neck, not knock yourself off that pedestal.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Do you believe that's the case. Maybe we're wrong.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. If you want
to jump in on that plus again, conversation is about
one quarterback who might want to be more like the
other going into the season. We'll tell you we're talking about.
It's the odd couple carries in for Rob Kelvin Washington

Stick and Stay.

And that's why we have a brand new podcast called
over Promised. You see, we're having so much fun in
our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy is over promising things we never have
time for.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Yeah, you blubber list name in me.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Well you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
Well, it's a Cavino and Rich after show, and we

Well, if you don't get enough Covino and Rich.

by the way, so maybe we'll go at it even
a little harder. It's gonna be the best after show

Speaker 3 (15:10):
All right, where are you at?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
It's the odd couple kelvin Washington carry roads on a
TV things On Thursday, in about eight minutes we will

For over forty years, Tireraq has been helping customers find
the right tires for how, what and where they drive
shit fast and free back by free Road has a
protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tie
(15:35):
rack dot Comcarrey.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
It is the way tis should be.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
All right, let's get to this real quick, Jay and
San Antonio, Real quick, Jay. We're just for those listening
just popped in. We're talking about arch Manning and when
you get to that position, Caleb Williams Trevor Lawrence, now
Arch Manning, can you really fall off that pedalstal word?
When they say you're the number one guy, You're the
number one guy no matter what.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Especially when your last name is Manning. What we got,
go ahead?
Speaker 8 (16:02):
Yeah, he's a made man. Yeah, he would have to
like fall off a cliff and you still have people
that still believe in it. Yeah. Yeah, he's a made man.
And I love both of you'll shows man, Kevin and carry.
But I had a point. I'm gonna go back to
the Hulk Hogan deal. And you said something very intriguing
and very right as far as culture. So I mean,
(16:23):
first I could get it, man, but I mean cultures
are different, and I get an example. I took the
course Death and Dying because I like the professor, and
some cultures when you die, they lead a body in
the house and that's crazy to some cultures. So coaches
mean a lot of fellows appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
I want to do more. Yeah, I thought he was
gonna give us the course. Glode was he had the
course and in the second week we talked about this.
He was Radio eightfishing. Yeah, he actually was right. Well,
you know, to put a button on that conversation. I
was just saying, culturally, it's just interesting. You're from the south.
You guys do things that people from the north may
(17:03):
not or think it's crazi or you eat things, yes,
a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Oh you know, we don't eat these frogs.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
What if you go to Japan the stuff that they
would eat, the animals that they would eat that, we
would be like, yo, we don't eat you go to Bulgaria. Like,
it's just culturally. That's why I said, as a word,
I think we don't really because we get so this
is the way it is because I'm from here, whether
it's that region, whether it's that state, or where's that country.
(17:30):
Clearly this is the only way it's done because I'm
from here. This is the world right here. Yes, And
then you start to travel a little bit and you're like, oh, shoot,
they eat that, they do that. They don't say that
they do that, Like we don't smoke as much. You
go to Europe them things are going, man, you know,
because it's just still for them. Yeah, we know it's
not great for help, but you know, coach, we kind
of just part of the way of life. Yes, America,
(17:52):
we work till we unfortunately, I mean it sherely die exactly. Yeah,
forty hours a week, that's all you work, work sixty,
I work seventy.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Go go, go, go go.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Then you travel across the world a little bit and
you're like, oh, they work hard to but they gonna
get this, yestera.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
We don't get this little break.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
We're you know, we're gonna take the idea that I
have to have the bigger, better batter like they don't
necessarily subscribe to They got my Fiat little car.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Does it give me where I need to be? Zip
through tongue. I'm cool, man, that's it.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
We gotta have the suburban on escalator on the escalator,
the escalate suburban hummer.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
You know. So it's just it's just amazing culturally, those
different I just.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
Like hearing y'all talk about it, like y'all ain't driving.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Hold on, don't say y'all, I ain't say nothing yet,
right you drive? Carrie was trying to agree.
Speaker 5 (18:39):
He was like, car I see carry Saunter in here,
all cool like with it, six thousand dollars backpack on.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
I can't believe it.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Hey, hey, keep it down, keep it Who was a
habitual you know who was an habitual pocket watcher.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Who's having rob rob a pocket.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
Now you know what streets are saying that carries on
that t but all positive, like, oh my god is sweet.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
He's about six five. How did I know he's about
six y five? He got the beautiful teeth, he's oh
my gosh. And then you know what he did in
the first day, What did girl? He sang? He sang
to me, oh my.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
And then he's friends with John Legend and Oprah.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
He facetimes and I said, what hello there? Okay, mister Legend, okay,
and this has turned out ordinary. This is turned into
a carry Okay, I carry dell Okay.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
I told you guys want something else, man, I tell
you it's been all love.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
It's been fun throughout the whole show about carry and
now let's just jump on carry time.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
The best part about this is too, that like Robbie
gets did we get to jump on you? Because he
already shoud it, But but rob g is so bad.
I get it on both fens. He'll be like, oh man,
you got this you got money or something. It'll be like, yo,
you got your money. It's money to wear that shirt,
to wear those shoes and wear that. I do say that,
where is that?
Speaker 9 (19:52):
Like?
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Which one is it?
Speaker 5 (19:54):
You got to Calvin roll out of his h way
and his one hundred thousand dollars sports car. There you go,
We're gonna wearing a fifteen year olds go change and
I tell them to your best friend John Legend. Come on, man, hey,
let's go. I'm just ordinary people. I'm telling that every week.
I'm ordinary African student. I am, I'm I'm doing okay.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Listen, guys, I'm I'm about twelve years removed from the bag.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
So you gotta remember, we gotta pacet that thing. Man,
we got like a minute. You know what's interesting. I
always think about that because we all grew up wanting
to be professional athlete.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
That was like the big deal. Yeah, and we associate.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
We know now because we're all adults, that every player
is a different thing. Everybody ain't walking around now like
sg A you know or check not many some people
are living check to check, check to check, you know
what I mean? And seriously like, right, you know, you
just gotta I just got on the squad and it
sounds good, three year six meal, but then you cut
that with taxes and agents and dada, da dad. And
(20:58):
here's what I always tell people they for get about
and I hate to say you all, but they forget
about you all.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Is that you have an expiration date.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Yes, most people, it's over twenty seven twenty You lucky
you get thirty thirty three, thirty four Lebron most of
them twenty six twenty seven. And here's the crazy part.
I made the most money I'll ever made. Oh yeah,
I was making one point one a year, which is like, watcher,
when are you gonna make one point one again? What
job is paying you one point one?
Speaker 3 (21:26):
That's the thing.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Yeah, and then now I'm only twenty eight and I
may be even to create a lifestyle. I have to
now maintain that for fifty sixty years in my life.
And the average person never thinks that we only hear
the big dog.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
Who you hear?
Speaker 3 (21:41):
What so and so just got Patrick MAHONK show, Hey,
O Tani is straight? But dude, you know what I mean?

If I can get three more year doing is, I
can put this here? And then I gotta stretch because
nobody else is gonna pay me two point three million
a year.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
Yeah, I had to stretch that thing out, and I'm
I've been smart with it also. I mean, there's a
thing that kick in in the year for me that
I've put so much money into that it's I'm good. Yeah,
but you still there's like, Okay, I gotta stretch this thing.
Speaker 3 (22:07):

nobody else where.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
You can fill out an application and him, I'm gonna
fill out here and uh desired salary two point three million.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
We're getting that job exactly, you know what I mean?
And so I always have to remind people leave.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
I'm like, dude, most of them are done at twenty
four or five sixty seven, and god willing, they got
fifty you know, years left on earth, and some of
them already created. THEE bought the girl this, you know,
and I bought this mom's this, and I got the
lifestyle has been created.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
M hm.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
You know what, everything you said it was well thought
out and intentional and intelligent and we could all learn
something from it. But Alan did he not say, like
two days ago ain't really a lot of money? What say,
million dollars ain't really a lot of money? Yeah, who
you did get him?
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Who you? Who?
Speaker 5 (22:56):

for a million dollars? Was like, you know, it's not
even that much money if you get me honest?
