where he's at at every single air tags himself everything.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Where is he?

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Now?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
What's going on with him? Alex? Can we get the
breaking new sounder? Please? Look, you may Steve jump up?
What who? What? For the first time in what has
to be decades? Maybekay?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Okay, Rob Parker is currently having dinner with people's own age.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Only all the im one other guy and then like
six other No.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yes, usually how it is? No.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Every person in this photograph looked to be his age
in their sixties, and to fuller further illustrate the point,
Rob Parker in this group photo right here has his
eyes closed and he's smiling.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And the best part about it too. They didn't wait
to the food. This is how you know they're not millennials.
They didn't wait to the wonderful food and plates got there.
It's all empty plates, Alex. If you don't believe me,
I promise you. Every ID is sideways. There is no
vertical id in this.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Fan, and a little tinted little brown had him for
a little while. No way, I promise you. What else
does he have? Give us a quote, what we'll do.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Rob Parker is wearing a shirt that he mailed to
himself for this photograph.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
I've read a nice red polo. One thing. I will say.
There is no odd couple MLB.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
BRO, Fox Sports Radio patch on there, so it must
be new because every.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Other he's sitting with a nice woman. There a couple
of nice women. Get well one I can tell us
what the other gentleman.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So hmmm, maybe that's why he's showing it to put
on his fancy stuff. Alex didn't want to have the
little odd couple. He ain't got time for that right now.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
When you say sideways ID, how old are we talking?
You can't say that on the air, Egs, you can't.
That's really funny. How you at all. At the same time,
I was looking at my memories and I sent this
I just found this. Oh can you believe it? Can

(03:18):
you believe Yeah? I believe it, Robs the twentieth time
you've texted it.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yes, all right, Rob, we missing all right, So let's
let's get into this, Rob G. Steph Curry on his
brother's podcast, right, was it his podcast?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
No?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
This was on the you know Speedy Yeah and everybody.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yeah, I don't know. No, that's I Show Speed. I'm
not Speedy Speed, the Speedy the guy who used to
hang out with DJ Kelly.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Yeah, I don't know what his podcast is called Speedy.
It might be, but uh. Steph Curry was a guest
in the latest episode, and Speedy asked Steph, hey, man,
I know that you're making about seventy million.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Like fifty million dollars a season, but do you feel
like you are under paid? Here's what you said.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
The idea that we can't, you know, participate in equity
while we're playing is a part of why I would say, yes,
we are underpaid, because you want to be able to
participate in that in that rise. I know we're blessed
to you know, be in a position where we're playing
basketball for a living and these are the type of
checks that people are earning. And I think it's all
deserved because it's a special commodity. It's a special industry

(04:25):
that probably won't go anywhere because that entertainment value is there.
But yeah, I feel like, hopefully sooner than later those
rules change a little bit so that players can participate
more in the upside of team equity, the league evaluations
and all that type stuff, just because I think we.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Deserve all right, it's three sixty with Speedy. I looked
that up shouting. I don't know, he just uppeared the
last handful of years. You know, he's like gets all
these interviews, so shot to him. But yeah, so three
sixty with Speedy is the pod. A couple of things
I want to jump in here real quick. Number one,
I absolutely agree that NBA players could have an argument

(05:07):
for saying we get we deserve more. And I did
a little digging in as far as some research into
into numbers and things like that.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
So let's look at let's look at something like this.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
So we know they have a cap league, so these
guys aren't going to be making the money that others could.
And in other sports, you look at soccer, which is
gonna be a good comparison. Those guys are making hundreds
of millions of dollars annually.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
We know that. It's you see teams.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
They're paying one hundred million dollars in it for the
right to sign them to a hundred million.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, exactly, and just to get them. So they're getting
a hundred two hundred million dollars annually because it truly
is a free market there. So it's just, hey, whatever
the guy wants, he's worth it. You believe you want
to pay it, you pay it. And when you start
crunching numbers with the average the revenue in the NBA,
and you start to look at the worth of the players.
NBA teams generally rough generate roughly two hundred four hundred
million dollars annually, so you would argue the lead players

(05:59):
are worth one hundred and twenty million dollars annually. Somebody
like a Lebron somebody like a Michael Jordan's prime, a
Kobe Bryant, a Steph Curry. These guys are making forty
they're making fifty now. But Steph Curry twenty fourteen to
about now. He could have been making a buck twenty
buck twenty five every year rob Gen And that's not

(06:19):
crazy when you talk about what he's worth from just
publicity standpoint, what he's bringing in the inside the arena
you're looking at Lebron, I don't even think what he's
been worth since about two thousands really came in the
league as he came in with so much fanfair.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Steph had had to work his way up to it.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Lebron came in, so they absolutely have been not making
the worth in that regard. Now, that is why I
think he wants an equity. You get what I mean.
So if I can't get because we have a cap
league the money I believe i'm worth, then at least
let me get a buy in and get some of
the equity of the teams.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Now, I think that becomes.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Challenging when you start to have guys have part ownership
of leagues and you're an owner, but then you go
to this team. How does that work? You get a
part owner ship of the Warriors, But what if I
trade you to the Hornets? Are you Stillon? There's a
carry to another team. Do you do you lose that
you gotta sell it when you leave. So then to me,
it can get a little tricky when you start talking

(07:11):
about that. But absolutely, just on the principle of NBA
players deserving more, I always wonder what it would be
like without a cap.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Can can can Lebron have signed a seven hundred and.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Something billion dollar million dollar deal like Juan Soto, you know,
because he had been worth it last point. One player
like that actually changes your franchise more than a baseball player.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
The Mets might not even make the postseason.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Facts, you get a Lebron in his prime, you get
a Stephan ther prime, you get a Kobe and Mike
Jordan is shock like that, well, you might be for
the next eight years in and out the finals, win
a couple when you get that magnitude of a guy,
so then they're really worth it what they bring.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
I understand the point that you're making, and it does
make sense. I just feel like Steph needs to be
a little more self aware when he says something like
this publicly about himself.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
About him How about the fact.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
That Steph when his neck contract is up, because he
signed through this season and next season, he will have
been the highest paid player in the NBA for ten
straight years. Steph Curry next season coming up and the
following season twenty six twenty seven will make one hundred
and twenty two million.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Dollars over two years.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
I understand saying, hey, if you just look at what
the valuation is with the Warriors since I've been there,
and how much is triple quadrupleed, tenfold whatever the number is,
that he is if no one else responsible for eighty
percent of that, right, Like he is that great? He
doesn't mean that much to that franchise after the league
as a whole. But it's not like you're not being

(08:45):
well compensated. It's not like you are, you know, nickel
and diming, struggling your way through on a day to
day basis. It's not like you don't live in a
ridiculous mansion and you probably got three more of them
you've never even.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Seen before, so disappointing you. And here's the last thing.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
If Steph really feels that way, and of course he does,
he said it on the podcast, but on Wax, why
can't you tell your own league if you are the
product that everybody cares about, that you're the only reason
why the Warriors have seen their value shoot up like this,
that you're the reason why millions of people tune into
the NBA, then what's to stop you from being like

(09:25):
what Brianna Stewart did is, Hey, we're gonna launch unrivaled
a three on three league. It's only gonna have you know,
fifteen players on it, but everyone's gonna make five times
what they make in the W because we're paying you
for what you're legitimately worth, not what the league thinks
you're worth. Why can't actually Maverick Carter's doing this. Maverick
Carter is working with the Saudis right now, I believe,

(09:48):
to try to launch a new basketball league.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Now.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
I don't think that's ever gonna cope with the NBA,
but he's trying. If Steph Curry really feels undervalued, underappreciated,
then maybe him Lebron James, pick your favorite older events
player who's already had their NBA success, Why don't they
launch their own league.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
And do it?

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Because the reality is, Steph, I hate to break it
to you, you're not really worth that much money.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
I couldn't disagree with you anymore. Of course you can.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
First of all, Steph Curry asking you off this showing
right now. And you know what's funny, I'm glad you
wrote that. I'm glad you said that because I just
wrote down Rob G is thinking too small. Okay, you're
thinking too company manas right now. So wow, you are
in that meeting. You are in that mean you don't
even you and you got the wrong shirt on today.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yesterday was the day you were supposed to think like that.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
And I say that because ultimately, if you're just gonna
do the well you make enough, then you're never gonna
make more because they're always gonna pacify you and whatever
the thing is. And you being on this side today,
you've been great. Who knows where you can go in
the next year. Two years might be the Rob G
and so and so show.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
And Alex, by the way, we've rob G and Alex
showed it.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
A gonna say, well, this is what you were making
on that side, and they're gonna give you a little bump,
and you gonna say that's better, right, and you're gonna go, well,
g GOLLI sucks. I guess I'll say, yes, you're the
person I got a got a homie who ticked me
and my wife off because you know, her in her
legal space and contracts and all that. One day told
us he has, he's been to the four letter place,

(11:20):
he's been on sports centers and all.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
You know that.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
He never negotiated a contract like they're basically whatever they
offered him. Yes, he was, just because it's so so
happy to you know, get it right. And I almost
lost my mind because you're worth more. Companies know that oftentimes,
and you fight for it and y'all battle it out
and it is no hard feelings because business is business is business.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
And you meet somewhere.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
That's why we have an agent, by the way, and
that's why you have an agent to be the ugly
person or got to be the go between. And so
what Steph Curry is saying is I'm fully aware the
Warriors were just an organization in the NBA until I
got hot. And now obviously the team around me they
did a great job building it. But I'm the center
piece the league as a whole. What the heck would

(12:04):
they have done without Lebron over the last twenty years
because the magic goals and obviously Kobe's Kobe, but Lebron
has been because he's whether you hate him or love him,
he's been the.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Talk of everybody has an opinion that Lebron yep, he's
been that.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
What they've done without Kobe. I'm not making it just
a Lebron Kobe Steph. That's why Jordan finally got thirty
three million in the last year or two.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
In nineteen ninety eight. I don't even know what thirty
three million is like now, because teammate was making like
two exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, because and they finally said, all we got to
play Jordan for them the back end. So absolutely, you
to me, you go and get what you're worth. You
go and fight for that. And from time to time
you have to throw out a crazy idea and you
got to negotiate it, and you got to bring up stuff,
and they have the right to say no the NBA,
and to your point, he has a right to try
to figure out something else.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
But never should you not ever advocate for yourself.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
And that's why I'm blown away with people who you
cannot like the WNBA. I get that, And it's not
the most appealing sport for some, So it's not for everybody.
It's not for everybody. But the idea that I see
two point billion dollars is coming in that. I see
you guys are about to build trying to build five
new team franchises in the next handful of years, and
people are.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Paying a quarter of a billion dollars just to get
in the door. Exactly.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
They're paying two hundred and fifty mel just to get
a franchise. And I see we've gone up forty percent apparel.
I've see all this, the growth of viewership and all
the attendance, everything's going up. You absolutely double back and say, hey,
where are we at. That's why it's called negotiations. You
ain't got to do it, and I don't have to play,
but we negotiate. So I don't get why you.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Because I think Steph needs to realize that he would
not be Steph Curry without the NBA. And this is
something that Rob and before Rob rest in peace, Christ
May Sorrd know he's not with us anymore.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Is a man retired?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
He is retired.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
But they both said, and I didn't think about it
till they had said it, So credit to them. As
great as all of these guys are, Lebron is great,
Steph is great, Katie's great. Before that, Kobe was great,
even though Matt in Shaq Shack was great, right, if
they didn't have a media rights deal or the TV
or somebody to prop them up and show the entertainment factor,

(14:09):
He's just a bunch of dudes hooping at an LA Fitness.
Now they're doing a lot crazier stuff than the guys
that Elephantis can do. But if there's nobody to give
you the platform to showcase yourself, it doesn't really matter.
And Steph Curry wasn't always all capped Steph Curry. He
needed the NBA and ESPN and TNT and Fox Sports
and Rob Parker and Calvin Washington to talk about him,

(14:32):
to showcase him and say, hey, he's great, or he's
got great, he sucks, he's awesome, whatever it is. And
that's what helped propel him to earn forty fifties now
sixty million dollars a season. So does he not have
to pay some of that back because he didn't have
that platform before.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Your platform is useless without a product or service. I
am the amazing product and or service that allows your
platform to be successful. And what we are also able
to do is renegotiate from time to time, and to me,
that's all he's doing. He says, hey, let's get back
to the table and let's have some conversations, and I
think we should be able to do this.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Then we should be able that.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
And the NBA can say no and then but that's
why we have cbas and conversations and meetings and you
build relationships with Adam Silver or you can call them
and just say I was thinking in what you think
and he can say no. But that's what it's for.
The idea is simply that be grateful that I have
this thing and you're a part of it. No, I
built that, I helped build the thing. It's a partnership.
You can have a play. You know how many networks
start and die because they didn't have the great shows,

(15:31):
all of them. It's the reason why they were playing
the friends actors a million dollars an episode because without us,
your network is your network, but you ain't drawing these
viewers that get you the sponsorship in these endorsements and
these commercials.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
So pay us a.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Million dollars in episode, all of us, by the way,
not one person, because of our talent, our show, what
we brought to the table. All right, good conversation there,
what's maybe if you want to hop in eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. Otherwise, we got Tim Parker
of Spectrum News one. We'll talk some Rams Camp. He
was there as well and also can talk a little
bit of the with Bronni what he was witnessing covering

(16:06):
Brownie as well. We'll have that with Timothy Parker, Spectrum
New's one, Spectrum Sports Net. In just a bit, it's
The Odd Couple, Rob g and for rop P Kelvin Washington,
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

sure you check out over Promised and also Uncensored, by
the way, so maybe we'll go at it even a
little harder. It's gonna be the best after show podcast
of all time.

on YouTube, but definitely join us. Listen Over Promised with

we have our guests on the phone. You're in the

sneaky last year, but they were really good and next

(20:39):
mess around and that you had your.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Almost your Eagles.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Almost Eagles almost beat your Eagles in a cold, snowy game.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
So now you double back.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
You got Davante Adams, you got another just another year
with Stafford there, they got the deal done with him.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Expectations are kind of high. This year is for them.

Speaker 9 (20:54):
No expectations are high. Obviously, DeVante Adams opposite up a notch.
That's when I talked to Sean McVay the other day
at day two of camp, or actually day one of camp.
He was like grinning and smiling. He acting, are you
happy to have that type of talent on your team?
He's like, damn right, Timmy, I love that guy. He's
gonna help us with experience. He's gonna help Pooka and

(21:17):
all that stuff. He was thrilled to have a guy
like that. Not that he didn't love Cooper Cup, but
it's like Cooper Cup with even more talent with Devonte Adams.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Yeah, and so now I'll get expectations are high. What
has Davante look like right now throughout the first week
or so of training camp.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
Bruh.

Speaker 9 (21:33):
They are running routes. They are running routes, they are stretching.
How do we know what really matters because Matthew Stafford
is not even there yet. He hasn't been out there
the first few days of camp. I think he's dealing
with some type of injury. And there's a contract negotiation
with Drew Rosenhaus, so that's in the background. I think
everything's gonna be fine with Matthew Stafford. He's gonna be

(21:53):
They're gonna be ready for some football. So we really
don't know what Stafford to Adams looks like yet. We
know what to Adams looks like, which is Demonta.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
I mean, but now, when you say injury for Matthew Stafford,
are we talking physical injury? Are we talking emotional? Because
it's been a contentious yeah, last two years with them
in the front office. In fact, Yahoo Sport talked about
it yesterday, put it out that it's a open secret
in that building that hey, we would love to move
off of Matthew after this season because we were on the

(22:24):
March for Arch.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
In twenty twenty six.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
I think Arch's that's what it says.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
You gotta have a name.

Speaker 9 (22:32):
Okay, I will say this, You got to take care
of your business this year first. Obviously, the Rams want
Matthew Stafford to be happy this year, to the to
the point that Drew Rosenhaus was in the building this
week negotiating. That's a good sign that everything is not perfect,
but they're working to get things done, trying to get
this contract done because it's all about winning a championship

(22:52):
this year. And Matthew Stafford's older in his career, and
if you think about it, if you're Matthew Stafford, you're
looking at it like if I win this year, I'm
riding out on a high. There's no more negotiation. We
had nothing else to talk about, so got a focus
on this year and then arch Man and where.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
Would you trade? Uh are? What are you gonna trade
the stadium to.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Nakua the Macot? Yeah, the media and speaking of Massocot too.
By the way, we're gonna give you his Instagram. You
can follow up boy Timothy. Timothy, try to race the
what's the rams and the dude next rampage? Rampage you
try to race him. Rob g like a ten years
was the opposite. I knew something, Shenati gets something.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
We got this furry animal pushing me off.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
I was pissed.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, all right, we're gonna go to Steve real quick
and get us set on what is trending, and then
we'll come back more with them.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Timothy Park on the other side, Hey, Steve.

Speaker 10 (23:42):

Speaker 3 (25:57):
A great weekend appreciate.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
You as always I'd, Couble kelvin washington rob g and
for And Our man Timothy Parker with Spectrum News One
spectrum sports net in the. Building as well we're Talking.
About the rams you were There this week rams camp
and we kind of hit on the. Most of it
so last Point with the rams before we get to
some chargers and some. OTHER conversations expectations I WAS with
ROB g and. I were, talking, i Said Well because
aaron rodgers in their twelve contenders set on the medious TEAM,

(26:22):
in the Nfl.

Speaker 9 (26:23):
We gonna aaron, rodgers is right there's always, ten to
twelve because you don't know from somebody from that mid
pack who might get lucky in the playoffs or something
like that THAT gets An ncy champions.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
It's the facts.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
It's not facts there's only. Six or seventy.

Speaker 9 (26:38):
Tell You, something tom brady his first championship was one
of those ten. To twelve teams people don't remember that
with that first first champions nobody expected that team, to
do anything.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
But then that exception that was and also and also
that Team Wasn't remember drew bletsoe had Went To a super,
bowl a, few you know handful, of years back so
it wasn't as if they were just. This surprise Team They.
Had drew, betzo they're like, we, feeling good okay and then.
He gets, hurt so no they know ten and twelve.
In the pact what hall teams? That Are CONTINENTS the

(27:10):
rams i do believe are legitimate because Again They're a
matthew stabverord passed away in the cold from Being In
the super.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Bowl last year so what?

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Are your expectations is it just getting The Postseason his
super bowl or bus what are you making?

Speaker 9 (27:22):
THEY could be i think they're going TO Dominate the
nfc WEST Because the nfc West is the rams forty
nine ers. And nobody else the forty nine ers are in,
the QUASI rebuild and i think you're gonna see a.
Rematch my Prediction, i'm FROM philly but i believe You're
Gonna have rams EAGLES In the nfc championship game this year.
At so far and let, me say this we gotta

(27:43):
start putting Some respect on. Sean mcvay's name he's probably
the top to one of the top two COACHES. In
the nfl people don't. Talk about that who else is
Out There as andy reid and McVeigh with that type,
of championship Pedigree And maybe pete carroll he hasn't coached
in like. Five six years so because start putting some
respect on, CHARM mcvay's NAME i think.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
I think he gets A lot of there is a
whole slew of coaches that got hired because they had
a shirk And coffee, With, sean, McVay like oh you,
were with him you were his quarterback coach for. Half
a season you're the new court you're the new, head
coach here you were the offensive coordinator for season. And
a half we're gonna give you the head coaching job and,
General manager capabilities.

Speaker 9 (28:20):
But does he get The Respect like mike tomlin does
Just for BEING mike tom i.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
THINK that then i would flip the, Conversation And say
mike tomlin might need to start getting. Some more heat
he might. Need, TO target yeah i think he need
to start getting some of the SMOKE rog g A. About,
the chargers Yeah so THE.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
Chargers Around la the chargers are going to charge like
that's been the reputation about them for what? Twenty years
now right Even Down in san, DIEGO last season i
think they were. HEAD of schedule i think we'd all
agree it was A shocker that harbaugh got him turned. Around,
so quickly now you're not gonna sneak.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Up.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
On anybody now the expectation is not just we're gonna,
make the, playoffs it's hey how deep in the playoffs?
Can we get do you feel that way being. AROUND
the team i Don't think the chargers snuck.

Speaker 9 (29:03):
UP on anybody i think THEY'RE In, the afc west
where there's only one good team and you have the
easiest schedule outside Of, playing the chiefs and it's almost
a lock that somebody else is going to get a playoff.
Spot this year now the expectation is to go deep.
In the playoffs how can you do that without. Winning
the division they're not going to. Win the division so
now they're in. Peak mid, mode you know just try
to get, a wild card maybe win a game because

(29:25):
you're not going to have a home game because you're
not going to. Win a division. That's the problem It's
Not about jim harball. Or anything else it's about a
mid roster some, a star quarterback still don't.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Have great receivers what? Do You do mike Williams just. Said.
I'm out.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yeah that was like he spun a black on his
girl and got back and the first day went on
the Date again rob gi.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
And she said, he was like, you know WHAT that's
why i left in. The first. Place i'm out.

Speaker 9 (29:52):
The caveat, to that Is will the chiefs ever take?
A step back maybe there's a freak injury or. Something
like that that Is the only.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Parker you.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Even you can Admit that, that chiefs team despite being what,
fifteen to two was not as good As previous.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Year chiefs teams.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Here's where it gets challenging the definition of, good more
exciting no. More offensively. Explosive absolutely not if at the end,
of the day then all that matters is knowing. How
to win they were the definition knowing.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
How to win do you not Remember that the raiders
had them dead to rights and then this was it
the bad snap when they're trying to spike the ball.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
And, it's like oh we just lost a Camera On
the denver broncos had a. Block, field goal dandy that's,
an effort play but that. Doesn't happen typically and he
made It To. The super bowl, they did okay and
who got Waxed In? The super bowl Stay, focused.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
On Yeah but the, chargers, that thinking yeah You're Two.
WITH jim harbor i do think they. Overachieved last year maybe, not,
that overtieved guys if they were. Just so, dominant more,
so oh wow you guys are. Head of schedule you
won a couple of, HAND more games i would argue more.
Than The team justin herbert got to.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
SHOW me.

Speaker 9 (31:06):
Something i agree and let's talk about like the, Overachievement
thing again like they were in the wild card game two,
years before that so it's the how do they over
they're supposed to be.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
In the wildcard, YOU know why i think because when
you get, a new coach typically we kind of cut,
you some grace like all right and a lost.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
A bunch of whole we're gonna run the ball more so.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
You're, kind of, like All Right and jim harball give
them usually give me a year or two to ramp,
these things up the matter of his college, or the pros,
and then. Boom he's going and so he kind of,
came right in was able. To do, that But, Yeah justin, herbert,
i'm expecting like, all right now because He's Better. Than
trevor lawrence, we know that but they both get that
who you. Just don't know i'm, telling you now they're,
To woof woof and it's like all the traits you,

(31:47):
got ALL yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Like i needed.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
IT'S not that i expect you. TO be good i
expect you to be great because the traits are there. To,
Be great quickly let's Go, to the lakers, uh not
Well The Combo, lakers Angie league because. BRONNI'S on both.
I don't know i guess maybe this coming year he'll
just be. ON the team, i don't know what Do
you Think.

Speaker 9 (32:03):
I've with bronnie IT'S interesting because i think what is
the point of BEING In the g?

Speaker 5 (32:10):
League for him he's proven he.

Speaker 9 (32:12):
Could dominate there the issue is he's has not proven
HE'S an, Actual nba player so he's kind of, in
that purgatory, that basketball purgatory where you kind of don't
know where. HE'S gonna be i think for the simple,
fact of development he has to spend some more TIME In.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
The g league that's.

Speaker 9 (32:29):
What it's about but at what point are you just?
What you are maybe that's a player that's better THAN
All the, g league players but not quite good enough
TO make. An nba roster i'm, not saying that because
he works, his tail off he's, doing his thing but we.
DON'T know yet i think this is going, to be
critical not so much for what he DOES In the g,
league this year is going to be critical to see

(32:52):
what he does when he GETS gets.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
His Nba, MINUTES.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Timothy parker Spectrm news ONE sports that i la here
with the Odd. Couple with bronnie you mentioned that he
he SHOWED In the g league that he's A Very good,
g league player and he had to really got much
of a chance HERE in the nba to piggyback, off
of that they Still have gave vincent. On the roster
They Just, Added marcus smart, so at best he's the

(33:17):
sixth seventh.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Guard, on the roster on.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
The big roster, to your point do you even think
that he's gonna get an opportunity to show whether he
is or IS not An nba player.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
If history has shown us Anything about the lakers over the.
Last few years, somebody's going down a couple of guys.
Are going down he's gonna.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
Have.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
To play now is he going to have to start
like he did in that One?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Game against.

Speaker 9 (33:39):
Milwaukee probably not but is he going to get a
chance to play those twenty minutes here and there those
spot games where, GUYS are down. I think so but
is what he does, in those, moments you know not so,
much offensively too because there's a ceiling to that.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
For that's.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
Role it's defensively you can't be out there to get
embarrassed like You was against tyree's.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Max last year.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
People put a little bit, too much stock like the
dude is like eleven years old And He's, playing tyre's
maxie who's entering it. Into his prime but, To, your
point tim, he HAS vocalized and. I love, it he's
LIKE instead of i gotta hit THE three and i
gotta be get, to the, RIGHT he said i gotta,
Be BETTER defensively and i think he knows THAT is
where i can get those extra six seven minutes. On

(34:25):
the Court is if i'm out there, busting my butt
working hard GUARDING guys that i may be able to
get a few extra minutes because they're not gonna. Look
for Him We. Have, luka danchez yes we don't really
need you to get bucket every now and again. Hit
a three if he gets and penetrates in, the paint
kicks it outs you.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
In the corner what we need is. What We saw
the pacers have a bunch.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Of annoying defenders what we Need, is what minnesota how
they've been able to keep the last, couple of years
and How they beat denver. Two years ago now that,
the season's over because they had a bunch of, wing
defenders aggressive they can what and what it the thunder
dude To you Had caruso guarding Yokis not, that i'm
asking but they just Had so many defendersla was seven

(35:04):
dudes on five, in the FINALS and so i think
they know who. Are Our guys marcus smarts a, really
good defender but is he still? Happy He's been nick dubb's, A,
little older bronnie can you slowly grow? Into that guy a?
Pest for us can you Be a nim hart, who's just,
like oh way YOU know?

Speaker 3 (35:18):
What i mean leave us.

(36:44):

parker tv if you want to give him a follow
Real quick tim ui were Talking about, h shaq said, you.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Know what it don't really. Matter To, me kobe tmate
anybody you're gonna?

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Win with me he said he could have won three
Rings with t Mac who t Mac trace me grady
said that last week or so, in the podcast and obviously.
Everybody's going crazy The disrespect to kobe has, gone Too crazy, and,
i'm LIKE okay so i disagree with everybody acting.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
LIKE people Did i think kobe is still.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Extraordinarily highly regarded it's just a couple people, disagree WITH
something and i don't think it's disrespect as people. Are
taking it but that's the twenty twenty five. WE live
IN I think T Mac and Shaq Prime T mack
prime shaq get. ONE likely too i don't think, they
get three because that IS the difference i Think between T.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
MAC and Kobe i think kobe.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
IS that third i think his, eventual work ethic the
poking and prod, and getting, Shaped, you know, Shack come
on shack gets you.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
The.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Third ONE okay, Rob g. Says i'm crazy they Ain't
we running, they WIN zero which i. Think is crazy
everybody gotta get out. Of their feelings they gotta remember
Who do the lakers play? In those finals like They,
played the, pacers Good point the sixers with one man
and the next team who should not have even been.
IN a finals i think you can win all those

(38:02):
three of those SERIES. With, t mac now THE only
one i would say that they couldn't have won is
the two. Thousand and one they don't. THE first one
i Don't think t mack gets the FIRST one because
i think they Lose. To THE blazers t mac can't
win in their, game seven.

Speaker 5 (38:16):
Down eighteen.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
Points Good point what rogers say THAT was what i
was saying is because obviously in the finals The mismatch
was shack and whoever Was.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
In the east it.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Wasn't even close but at that time we all know
It Was the eastern Conference and the west at, all
the powerhouses all of their toughest matchups Were In. The
western conference AND that's WHY i say i don't know
if they even get, to The Finals because tim dunkan
was in the, way Every Year the kings he's were,
in The way the blazers were, in The way and
kobe was the difference in all.

Speaker 9 (38:44):
Of those series and to that point you're Talking about
that blazers series. In two THOUSAND if T mac and
shaq doesn't, win that one maybe they blow the team
up and. They gets zero because it was getting to
The point Where shaq and kobe had lost.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
Back to back to, back to back and this was
like the fourth time.

Speaker 9 (39:03):
And, they don't yeah so if they don't get, off
this swamp maybe you're talking About trading Team.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
MAX flast kobe.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
I just think people. Are under selling.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
There is a there's when we talk about anybody You're
Put in Isaiah Thomas versus Steph, lebron versus kobe there's
to me a small gap between, whoever you choose whoever,
your FLAVOR is and i think people are making that
gap way too wide For me between Kobe and t
mac cool because we're looking at, the full Career which
then i'm a completely agree it's a full on the capreer.

(39:35):
Is completely different but for a four three to, FOUR
year period i don't believe it was that. Crazy the
gap and there maybe for some peoples a year where
the gap might have been In Favor of team mac
because he was he was a, more efficient score a.
High volume score he's given you thirty, two A night
and i just think that he was. DOING that alone

(39:55):
i don't know what. That looks like he gets to
dump it down a shack Sometimes, And fil jackson BUT
that's What.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
I told rob don't just sleep.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
On the field look like if he has to play
in a restrictive offense, like THE Triangle does t Mac?
Become t mac if he doesn't, have a better he
was a better like he to have the freedom to
do what he. Wants to do he's his. Dad Or
passer james harden has shown he can't. Play any different
We Like skinny luca lusa has not shown he can

(40:25):
play in the system that does Not Revolve.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Around, luca dodgic well then we work around him and.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
We don't know there's always a, handful of Players and
t mac is not a who the guys Are gonna Name.
Luca lebron ai there's a certain fruit, with you guys
or they.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
ARE the system i don't think. T was that i
think he could have played.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
All, the system yeah, rob g system.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Look at that don't try to come over here and
be part of his third chair. All, The time now
i'll see what, You're doing there tim have.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
A right weekend
