I went to a restaurant to the head lunch with
a buddy. Thanks for the ins, right, Rob, you were busy,
you got a family, don't have time for all that.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
I'd like lunch.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
We'll do that in October, so real quick.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I wanted to add it's a fish place, okay, So
I wanted to add a shrimp scure to my order.
You got me, sure, So I ordered the talapia. I
ordered the stuff right ordered my buddy's meal. I treated
them today or the whole nine yard. So we had
two entrees, two drinks.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
All that. Sure.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
After I ate my tilapia and I ate myself, I
was like, I'm still a little hungry, you know, like
I still was, So let me add a shrimp. I
go up to pay. They want to charge me full price,
I said, but with an entree it's supposed to be
three ninety nine without an entree, it's five ninety nine.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I said, I just here's my receipt. I just bought
two entrees.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Well, you have to order it at the time that
you you know, the side rimed has to be ordered.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
I'm like, what does it? Why does it have to
be ordered?
Speaker 5 (03:04):
Then?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
You know I just bought it. Well, we can't do
anything with the price.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I never heard of a restaurant can't do it where
you can't change the price. Rob g if you want
to go in, right, you called, I said, where's the manager?
Speaker 3 (03:15):
I did?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I was Rob Karen, I of course called for the manager.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
This is why you're not even nighting it up here
a looker anymore. Right, I'm like, where's the manager. That's
that's what that's my go to. Where's the manager? I said,
I just bought two entrees. Why in the world can
I have a shrimp scuer for three ninety nine. I'm
not paying five ninety nine for the same shrimp scure
that should be three ninety nine because I bought an entree.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
That's what it's.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Well, but you got to buy them at the same time.
It doesn't say that in the advertisement. They would not
give me the shrimp scure for the Wow. So you
know what, I'm not going there again.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Where are You're not going? Rob?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
This fish place named after this fine state. I'm just saying, I.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Know what you're talking. Okay, let's hope they don't be
come a sponsor.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Am I crazy though? No, Alex, in my crazy business?
That is?
Speaker 6 (04:07):
I think.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
So that is bet, Rob g If you're the manager,
you go.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
She should have just said, no problem you, We'll bring
up a miscellaneous here's three ninety nine four dollars or
whatever tax here you go make me.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
I just I just spend money on lunch. I just
bought lunch.
Speaker 6 (04:24):
Why don't you to say it was just next time?
Just make sure you know it's a thank you, thank
you easy.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
That's all right.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
And instead she has a customer now who doesn't want
to go back there because they wouldn't give me my
shrimp secure for three ninety nine.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
That's terrible.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
They should be ashamed of themselves.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
It's just good business.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Alex just said the same thing, like like it's so
easy to correct it.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Rob, think about it. That little act would have made
you go back.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
I would have told I'll be telling a different story
right now, right at the fish grill. That's name after
the state. I'm just saying, are we in the state
we're in?
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Well, we're a nationwide we don't know what state it is?
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yes, Okay, all right, I'll rob g the New Hampshire
fish grin. Let's talk about Bill Belichick. College football is
right around the corner, and uh, what are people talking
about Bill?
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Well, everybody's been talking about Bill. He's been the talkable
person now for months, between his girlfriend and his buyout
and everything under the sun there in New North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
You really call a girlfriend? Or is that like a galpal?
What I mean, is that a girlfriend?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
His dependent? You think he claims are on the taxes?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I just think it No, I just think it's transactional.
Let's just be honest.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
What if he really likes her Rob?
Speaker 1 (05:40):
He probably does? But does she like him?
Speaker 6 (05:42):
Okay, so I understand that he likes her Rob, he
didn't have rings, money, et cetera.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Do you think she cares that he has Super Bowl rings?
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Or do you think status money and status status?
Speaker 4 (05:56):
I was gonna say, if she is the way she's been.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
But she was already with an old. God before all
my boyfriends, I like old people to rob. Yeah, but
you're not. I wonder why.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Does that make me a scandalous individual.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
You're married with kids.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
My wife is younger than me.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yes, so any of your wife likes old people.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
I wanted to die my beers. She said no. She
says she wanted to look seasoned.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
But in any event, everyone's talking about Bill Belichick, including
Tom Brady.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
He was on the.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Joel Clap podcast talking about his expectations for Belichick in
year one with the tar Heeel Thicks.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
What they're going to get is obviously the most prepared,
the most hard working coach that I'd ever been around.
If you go to that school, you will be prepared
to play at the next level. He's going to teach
you the right fundamentals, the right techniques. He's going to
have a high expectation for you, and you're going to
develop a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
That's what I know.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
He is so smart with how he approaches defensive schemes
and offensive schemes and how much can these young kids
rich teen.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Yeah, okay, I'm not buying it, Tom Brady, thank you.
I'm convinced that Bill Belichick's ten yuere at UNC will
blow up in his face. This will go down as
one of the worst decisions ever made. And I still
don't understand it unless this is strictly about his son
(07:23):
getting a job and setting him up because he had
a chance to get a job in the NFL and
become the all time winning as coach, and instead he
chose to go to U n See not a not
to coach basketball there. It's not exactly a football school,
Rob g Am, I wrong, it's not a football school.
You're going there to do what. You're not winning any
(07:46):
national championship, Bill Belichick, Your championship winning is over. You're
going there to waste time. That's what you're going to do.
And when you've turned into a distraction and a side
show with the young girlfriend and all the other stuff
that goes with it.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
This is the Bill Belichick of who didn't say anything.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
It was all about business, Why about working and right,
not being a distraction and being focused on it. This
is the same guy now, Rob g I don't know
who this is. And the other thing is that girlfriend
on campus.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Do you think.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Some of those players are not gonna try to get
at her? Seriously, this will be a disaster. I'm convinced
more than ever this will be bad. And Bill Belichick
people will say, what was he thinking? You know, when
people hit this, I should have had a V eight.
(08:54):
I shouldn't have gone to UNC. That's what he's gonna
hit his head. I shouldn't have gone to the UNC.
What was I thinking?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Have your girl toy or whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Coach in the NFL, try to get Don Shula's record.
That's what your waning year should have been, winning football
games whatever. Going to teach kids at a non football
school in college with a college girlfriend makes no sense.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Rob, you are so right, you can't turn left. I
can't believe I'm bringing with you twice now in the
same show. I feel like I take a shower after this,
Rob you salling Mike's wife begun. The ACC preseason poll
pick North Carolina to finish eighth in the conference among
seventeen teams.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Very nice.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
The Coach's Poll the AP poll both came out in
the last week and a half or so. Not only
were the tar Heels unranked, they did not receive any
votes in either poll. Okay, Bill Belichick is expecting this
comeback to be like Robert Downey Junior. It's like, hey,
(10:04):
Robert Downey Junior was a big time star in the eighties,
had some personal issues. We thought it was over, We
thought it was done. We thought he was in retirement. Boom,
Iron Man comes out. He's a superhero now and he's
gonna be the highest paid actor in Hollywood in about
a year or so with his new movie coming out. Instead,
he's going to be more like Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen,
(10:25):
at one point, with Two and a Half Men, was
the highest paid actor on television. He leaves the show,
tries to come back with a show called Anger Management. Rob.
I know you never heard of it.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
No, I did, Actually I remember I didn't watch it.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
But complete flop, that's what's gonna happen to Bill Belichick.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
You're right.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
He was at the top of his game throwing fastballs.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
He has a.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Slip up there at the end in New England where
he tries to bite off more than he can chew
be the GM and the head coach. He loses Tom
Brady and it kind of fizzles out, and rather than
ride off into the sunset with his young girlfriend and
his super yacht that he has seven rings or whatever
it's called. Living the high life as a Hall of
Fame coach, arguably the greatest coach in NFL history. He
(11:13):
wants to try his hand at college football. And if
you don't believe me, you don't believe Rob Parker. Do
you believe Vegas? Because according to bet MGM earlier this summer,
North Carolina over under seven and a half point wins
on the season, the under was getting sixty eight percent
of the bets, sixty seven percent of the money on
(11:36):
North Carolina under seven and a half, by far, the
most made bet in college.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Everybody knows that that this is going to be a disaster.
That's what I think it could be. Wound up being
a disaster. I think it will be a disaster. People
will question why he took that job. None of it
makes any sense to me. Again, I think it's a
nepotism angle, right, because he got his cronies and his
friends all jobs, right, and his son with a chance
(12:03):
to take over after.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
He's done coaching waiting, Yeah, what else could it be?
Speaker 1 (12:07):
It can't be anything else?
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Why can't he just leave his son money?
Speaker 8 (12:11):
Right?
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Right?
Speaker 2 (12:11):
They got plenty of money. When he's gone. He's got
to get him a job and then go and coach
at North Carolina Football. Just crazy to me eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven, nine nine,
six sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Where are you?
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Is Bill Belichick going to be a success in college
football or a major flop? You're seeing him hope here
and he light at the end of the tunnel. Or
has he made a tremendous mistake in going to college
and taking his girlfriend with him? It is The Odd

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Rob Parker, Rob g In for Kelvin Washington on a
worship Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Kelvin, that's right. Do your summer plans include a new job?
Rob G?
Speaker 4 (14:15):
No, they might all right.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Want to work with an expert in your local job
market find the right role.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Just call the local Express employment professionalists. That's right, Go
to expresspros dot com and Express never charges for job seekers,
so there's no fee there, Rob G. It is a
great way to look for a new gig, don't forget.
Coming up in about eight minutes, Will Blackman, the former
(14:45):
NFL safety and GW sports football analyst. We'll talk with
Will and one's got to Go is coming up as
well in this hour eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox talking about Bill Belichick. Will he be a success
in football or flop? Rob G and I are lockstep.
This is bad turning to worse.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Where are you?
Speaker 4 (15:07):
We got a full bank of calls here, Rob, So
I'm gonna go ahead and roll with an oldie, but
a goodie. Andre is in Massachusetts. Andre, you're on the
OCABA Fox Sports reading what you got? Andre?
Speaker 10 (15:17):
Hey, how you doing?
Speaker 11 (15:19):
Thanks for taking the call.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Listen.
Speaker 11 (15:21):
I'm in agreement that with Bill Belichick his heart is
not all in terms of coaching as it was in
his formative years. Go ahead and check out the Two
Bills thirty for thirty talking about how he got his
start a grinder working his way up. Right now, Bill
Belichick is much more concerned with going viral on IG.
Speaker 10 (15:38):
He's concerned with.
Speaker 11 (15:39):
Being on a beach. You know what is significant other
for me posting her in the air with his feet
and having her be a major part of his operation.
So never mind the fact that college football is going
to super conferences, the SBC and the Big Ten being
these ginormous conferences where it's almost impossible for folks in
the middle to make their way to the top of
the big dogs of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Texas, so one fourth.
(16:00):
Never mind that he's just not all in on football
as he once was. This to me is that it
is not going in the right direction and it could
be an unfortunate career for someone who's argued to be
the greatest coach of all time. It could be a disaster.
Finished as Tom Brady finished in Foxboro with the Patriots
throwing that interception. I'm hoping not. But that's where it's
looking for me.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Thanks taking the call, no doubt, Thank you, Drey appreciated
eight seven, seven ninety nine on five.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
And that's start an insult. Robi goes back to the
Travis kelce commentary. We had naur one like Travis Kelcey
is a first ballot Hall of Famer, three times Peoper
Bowl chap. I think he's been like a four or
five time All Pro. If his heart's not in it
all the way, you've done enough. It's fine. Bill Belichick
got more Super Bowls than I have fingers on my
right hand.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
You've got a numb there. What is that? That's not
a sixth I'm just saying what I'm said.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
There's nothing wrong with it.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
That's a figure off.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
So I'm done. I got money, I got success, I
got a young, hot girlfriend. I don't need to and
I out donors and coach nineteen year old kids.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
I don't get it, who'd or hard had them? Won't
listen to you exactly. I said, this old guy what
he used to be, Bill BELLI used to be. I
don't know what he's talking about.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on FO Chili Tim is
in Atlanta, Chili Tim on the audio.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
What's happening?
Speaker 8 (17:12):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (17:12):
He was rob Hey, first rug, he was a first
of all Rock. Congratulations on the honor, man, proud of you.
Speaker 8 (17:19):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (17:20):
In an era where our names are being taken off
the buildings, it's good to see her brother's.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Name going on, man, sim I appreciate that. And Uh,
October fourth K comes soon enough. I'm very proud of it,
and I can't wait to share that with my family
and friends at Southern Connecticut State University.
Speaker 10 (17:37):
YEP, no doubt you know. I'm a UNC alumni. That's
why I went to undergrad.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
YEP.
Speaker 10 (17:44):
I'm asking all my fellow limbs to withhold alumni dollars
until the administration shows us that serious about winning football.
We just dropped one seventy year old retread and Mac Brown.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
Yes, exactly. They don't learn their lessons.
Speaker 10 (17:59):
And Bill Bell the chick, you know the eight the
SEC was warning North Carolina because of basketball, only because
of basketball. But until you know this Belichick high from
when I heard is it like this said, they're not
serious about winning football. So you know, until we get
rid of these retreads seven year old and get a
good young coach that can relate to these players, I'm
(18:22):
with hold. I would just hold all of them that
dollars because then not serious about winning football games in
North Chile.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Spot on, Tim, Thanks for the call, appreciate it. He's right,
they're not back to back seventy year olds like what
is this? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox?
Speaker 4 (18:38):
All right, let's stick in Atlanta. Jay is in Atlanta. Jay,
you're on the ocouple Fox Sports Radio? What you got Jay?
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Hey?
Speaker 11 (18:44):
How y'all doing this?
Speaker 12 (18:45):
Save?
Speaker 1 (18:45):
We're doing great? How are you, buddy?
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I'm great?
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Two things and I'll be quick.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Number one, bron Man, stop comparing Patrick Mahomes to Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 8 (18:55):
That's just Jesus, hold it.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Has nothing to do with Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
To Patrick Mahomes, the idea is last year, last year,
he was on a team that was fifteen into that
went to the Super Bowl and got zero first place
votes for MVP. That that tells you all you need
to know that ain't a boat. That ain't a boat.
That ain't about Patrick Mahomes before. That's about he didn't
play well enough to get a vote for m v P.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
That's what that tells you, all.
Speaker 10 (19:20):
Right on, Bill Belichick, I'm with you. That's why I
ride with you.
Speaker 8 (19:24):
Everybody always giving him all these accolades, and okay, he
deserves it, but stop acting like the dude.
Speaker 13 (19:28):
Didn't cheat, right, that's my deal.
Speaker 10 (19:31):
Stop acting like he didn't cheat.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
He did.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Now he cheated.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yeah, they want to tell you Barry Bonds and all
these other people they cheated.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
He cheated too, Tom Brady.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
And Barry Spygate they buried yep.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
All right, because they remember they destroyed the tape so
we couldn't even see it.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Shoot, I wish my Raiders cheated more. I want to win.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
You want to win? Eight seven seven ninety nine.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Got time for one quick one minute is in Arizona.
Gabriel and the Acaba foxpordraded. What you got?
Speaker 13 (20:00):
Hey, what's up guys, longtime listener, enjoya listening to you, guys.
I'll make it.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Appreciate that, appreciate that, thank you.
Speaker 13 (20:08):
I'll make it simple. How many Super Bowls did Belichick
wins with Drew blatso.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
That would be zero?
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, but I okay, I mean I hear that.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
And as much as you know I'm gonna anti Belichick guy,
as far as that, you gotta give thanks for the call.
Rob g the top five defenses and I can go
over what they want and all that. You got to
give him credit for that because that's what he did
with the Giants when he was the defensive coordinator and
they won two Super Bowls and every time they won,
(20:40):
they had a top five defense. And that was Bill Belichick.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
And I think we were both obviously expecting them to
not be good this year. The Vegas is telling you
under seven and a half wins, I will say, even
if they are going to be bad, their defense is
gonna be good.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
I feel like that's what he does.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
He's gonna show up and immediately gonna be a respectable defense.
They'll be in a lot of games the ultimately lose
him at the end, just because he doesn't really you know,
as it got to this level yet in college and it.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Just seemed like he's distracted all the other stuff going on.
And you know, like I said, those young players, what
we know as soon as she's in the locker room
or she's around you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
An NIL donors hanging around the program exactly.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
It just it feels like it's going to be a disaster.
All right, appreciate you guys chiming in there. Coming up next,
Well Blackman can't wait to talk to him form NFL
safety talk about the door some other stuff in the
NFL will do that, But first let's get you caught up.
Monty Blagos.
Speaker 14 (21:41):
I know that is off the tongue. It just rolls
off the time.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
If you speak, if you close your eyes, you would
think I was hispanic exactly, you know what I mean?
Speaker 14 (21:49):
Exactly?
Speaker 1 (21:53):
How about that?
Speaker 14 (21:53):
That's pretty good?
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Letchi let me in, Let me see pasa.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
I remember my Spanish teacher, miss Bender, and she used
to always say when we called pasa la pasada basala
pasas go to the blackboard.
Speaker 14 (22:16):
Lasso, but pasa is that go to.
Speaker 13 (22:21):
Yah?
Speaker 4 (22:22):
Yeah, I love.
Speaker 14 (22:26):
You're real close. You're stop so close, so close.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
NFL News, you just mentioned Shador Sanders Rob. He had
an oblique injury today was taken out of practice. Reports
are that his day to day, won't practice on Thursday
and is unlikely to play in their second preseason game
on Sunday against the Eagles. Bears head coach Ben Johnson
announced that the starters, including quarterback Kleob Williams, they're gonna
play in their second preseason game against the Bills. Bills
(22:53):
running back James Cook agreed to a four year, forty
eight million dollar extension with thirty million guaranteed, and Vikings
wide receiver Dustin Jefferson remains out of practice due to
a hamstring injury. His status is going to be reevaluated
next week. When it comes to baseball, it is all
Red so far against the Phillies. They even had a
little league inside the park home run in this one.
(23:13):
Reds up eight zero bottom of the eighth inning against
the Phillies.
Speaker 14 (23:17):
The Marlins do you know they like to beat good teams.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
They have retaken the lead from the Guardians eight four
top of the sixth inning, Cubs are still on top
of the Blue Jays two zero bottom of the sixth
and the Astros holding on to their two to one
lead over the Red Sox after five innings.
Speaker 14 (23:31):
The Padres have one five in a row.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
They crushed the Giants eleven to five, so they now
have a half game lead in the NL West over
the Dodgers, who are playing the Angels. Game starts in
about an hour from Anaheim around nine thirty Eastern. The Brewers,
though they're the best team in baseball, they defeated the
Pirates twelve to five. Milwaukee has won twelve in a row.
Cardinals fell late to the Rockies earlier today, six to five.
Speaker 2 (23:55):

Speaker 2 (24:24):

All right, now, let's welcome in Will Blackman, the former
NFL safety, and the CW sports football analysts. Welcome into
the odd couple. Will, it's been a long time, and
say hi to Rob g How are you?
Speaker 4 (24:41):
What's that?
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Will?
Speaker 8 (24:42):
What the two Robs? Let's go? Are you doing? Rob Parker?
Speaker 1 (24:45):
I'm doing good, man? How are you? You know me?
I'm always good?
Speaker 8 (24:48):
You know what? I just told my wife that. I
was like, he's going to be turned up, and he's
always good. He's always in good spirits no matter what happens.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
I respect that always, my man.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I'm very fortunate to be doing this forty years later
and I still enjoy it, no doubt. All Right, So
a part of your new gig with the c W. Uh,
you're not gonna be on Buffy the Vampire.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
I wish remember that Buffy?
Speaker 5 (25:14):
What was it?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Buffy the Vampire Killer Vampire Slay. I'm sorry, but you're
gonna be covering the.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
A C C right for the c W and uh,
Bill Belichick and North Carolina. This to me, Will looks
like a disaster waiting to happen. The girlfriend on campus,
the players trying to get at her.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
He's tired, he's all the players aren't interested. I just
is it? Tell me this is this is gonna work?
Speaker 8 (25:40):
What is Wait, that's that's what happened. Like they holler
at his lady.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Well, I'm just saying you when you bring uh the
young woman to campus, I don't know. I'm just saying
like that, Oh you on a football team, are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (25:52):
I just think you're gonna have issues?
Speaker 8 (25:54):
I do you know what? For me, like when I
first heard about this happening, like I believe that he
was going to go to U n C. And then
eventually he did took the he took the job, and
then obviously you know, the bio claus happened, I think
dropping to one mill, which to me, I was like, Okay,
I don't know if he's going to follow through the
entire season, and I'm thinking like maybe, you know, he's
(26:17):
setting up for his son, and so for me, I'm like,
you know what if if he's there on the field
weak one, then then it is what it is. And
it was cool. But we had the ACC meetings and
Charlotte a few weeks back and got to sit with
coach Belichick. Man, it was cool man, because he's he
really is fun. He really is a cool guy. I
got to him for a bit and he's excited to
(26:39):
do this. And you know, usually usually when someone that great,
they're just always looking for something different in a new challenge,
you know what I mean. And people look at it
like as a step back. But he just loves football, man,
and that's just what's happening right now.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
You know, my first question would have been a cheat
in college too.
Speaker 8 (27:00):
I knew it. I knew it.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
It's great.
Speaker 8 (27:05):
Listen, listen, raw, it's crazy in college. I was at
Boston College last year coaching, and the nonsense that goes wrong, man,
the dirty mack and the crazy college is horrible. Ry,
Oh my.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
God, I believe it. I absolutely believe it so well.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
I was watching NFL that was switched the NFL. I'll
talk WATCHINGNFL Nework a few weeks ago, and you're talking
to Aaron Rodgers, and Aaron Rodgers compared Jalen Ramsey to
Charles Woodson, and you were all over. You liked it.
You like the comparison. Two parts. You're number one, What
is it about Jalen Ramsey that you think compares so
favorably to a Hall of Famer like Charles Woodson and
number two. Do you think that adding him to that
(27:41):
defense and Aaron Rodgers of that offense is going to
be have to propel them to the playoffs this season?
Speaker 8 (27:46):
Well, the comparison, first of all, you you just look
at the versatility of the player. So before we get
to anything else, that's the main thing. When Jalen was
in college at Floristay, he was a safety, then he
distracted to play cornerback for the Jaguars, and then when
he went to the Rams Raheem Morris, they used like
the star position, which is like the nickel same thing,
and that's where he really shined and became an All Pro,
(28:10):
multiple all Pro. And so that's kind of like where
it was. And I think he ended up going back
to the corner because most teams were paying him just
to play corner, but his preferred position is the star.
And in terms of like comparison, like that's that's kind
of where it was for me. And fortunately, like I
played with Charles, so you know, no one really had
a better seat than I did to see really what
it looks like. And that's why for Aaron Rodgers he
(28:34):
made that team comparison, and then you know, fortunate enough
we had some good research teams and you look, I mean,
by by year nine, like pretty much very similar stats.
I think Charles had like five hundred and twenty tackles,
Jalen had five thirty whatever something like that. Charles Woodson had,
you know, a certain amount of picks and Jalen diss.
(28:55):
I think Jaila had three Pro Bowls already seven Pro
Bowls by then and by both by the age of thirty.
And people don't know, Charles Woodson didn't really go off
until he went to the Packers. Yes, he made some
Pro Bowls with the Raiders, but also they kind of
when they let him go, he was an outcast. And
when he was a free agent, there wasn't one team
(29:16):
only actually only one team called him, and that was
the Green Bay Packers. Like no one knows that he
had no offers, wow, just the Packers. And he was
thirty years old when he signed, you know, and when
he came into Green Bay, he came in with you know,
a new defense and started playing well. And then when
Don Capers came, he brought that Wuitsburg that Rod Woodson
shined in and really flipped the script, and Charles didn't
(29:39):
become all he didn't become a defense player un ttil
thirty three years old. So after thirty years old is
where really Charles flipped the script. And right now Jalen
is thirty years old and he's in probably one of
the best situations he's been in a long time. So
I think, yeah, I think going there in that defense,
you got Slag on one side, you got Portage on
the other side, you got Elliott. I mean, you got
the two stapeties back there, you got a really good
(30:00):
pass rush and good linebackers. I think for him, he
gets to run around and make plays and potentially have
a defensive Play of the Year typer year form.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
NFL safety CW Sports football analyst Will Blackman here on
the I couple.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Hey, well let's go to Schador Sanders.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
I know it's like a cult now, this is like
Tim Tebow and if he doesn't it's a conspiracy and
nobody wants to see him make it and all that
other stuff. And I've gone over all the examples of
you know, Seattle, we talk about it all the time.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Matt Flynn got a big contract.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
You remember that, Will the Green Bay Packers and Russell
Wilson showed up, and what did they do?
Speaker 1 (30:37):
They said, thanks competition.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Thanks a lot, but they picked Russell Wilson even though
Matt Flynn had the contract. So obviously, if Shador was
all that, they could easily say thank you, Joe Flacco,
thank you other guys, but we appreciate it. But this
is the guy. Anyway, Where you on Shador? Because nothing's
really changed it does? I think he's going to get cut.
They're not going to take four quarterbacks, and I don't
(31:01):
see how they're going to cut you know, guys who've
played in the league to take two rookie quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
Picked that three and five.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
So I think they're going to choose between one of
the two guys that were just drafted. And I think
they're going to keep Dylan because he was the third
round pick. Where are you on Shador?
Speaker 8 (31:20):
Well, I think right now, Well, first of all, with Shador,
I really like Shador as a quarterback because I look
at you know, like he had success, you know in
terms of like the stats wise, but also given the circumstances.
You know, I looked at him in Colorado, you know,
he had four over four thousand yards he threw seventy
(31:40):
four percent. He had you know, I think over thirty
touchdowns only ten interceptions, despite having the worst running game
in the entire country. Also, he's just sacked the most
in the entire country. Now, yeah, granted a lot of
it because he held on to the football trying to
make plays, but literally he had narrow help in terms
of protection or running the football and was still extremely efficient.
(32:03):
And for me, that's what stood out to me on tape.
That will tell me he's going to translate into a
pretty good quarterback in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Well, let me ask you this will real quick follow
up Tom Brady supposedly his mentor and work with him
and all that other stuff. Tom Brady was a sixth
round pick. Raiders had plenty of picks. If this guy's
out there, how come his mentor didn't say to the Raiders, man,
this is a I know his DNA, I know his
(32:32):
work ethic, I know this guy can play. He's a
star in the make and we need to grab him.
How could the Raiders of all teams not take him?
Speaker 8 (32:41):
Because I feel like when you come in to run
a business and you hire certain people, you kind of
want to let them do their job. You know, you
bring in your guys spy tech from Tampa Bay and
obviously Pete Carroll who already has done this. You know
you kind of want to. Yeah, everyone can bring their
names to the hat. And I'm sure he came across
the team when he was very thought of, but there
(33:01):
could have been other areas that they wanted. So you know,
sometimes you just let people do they gotta do. You
look at Cleveland the same situation. One guy want Dylan Gabrielle,
the owner did, and then you know Barry wanted Shador
So the owner, you know, he was like, hey, that
was Barry's pick. He wanted that, and so he I
let him. He did his thing, So again he let
the people work.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
So I think that's kind of what we will he
be when the season starts. Where will shau Door be.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Will he be on a practice squad? Will he be
on the Browns or will he be with another team?
Speaker 8 (33:32):
Or he'll be on the Browns. He'll be on the Browns,
not practice squad.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
I want to do.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I want to do a Wings beat ten Wings. I'm
gonna say he's cut and he will not n ot
be with the Browns.
Speaker 8 (33:42):
Ten Wings I need I need a fifteen mismatch.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Okay, you got fifteen. Let's do that. We could do
a twenty piece. Is that good?
Speaker 8 (33:49):
Twenty piece?
Speaker 4 (33:49):
You got money?
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Twenty twenty piece? Well they got you know, wingstop? Has they.
Speaker 8 (33:56):
Listen? If Rob Parker is going to spend money on
anything's gonna be winning.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
All right, All right, right, you already know it, hey, Will,
We appreciate you. Thanks for the insight and the knowledge,
my man, and best of luck on the CW.
Speaker 8 (34:09):
Thank you, thanks.
Speaker 2 (34:10):

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Even number. Figure it out.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
That's right, One's gotta go. Normally this is Kelvin's segment,
but I hijack just for today, Kelvin. And that's because,
as you guys know, Travis Kelcey derailed the start of
the Odd Cup that he could help his girlfriend with
an album rollout, like she needs help exactly, really like
really exactly, Taylor suffering. Taylor Swift is already the biggest
star in all the music. And it got me looking
(36:19):
it up because I was curious, who are the most popular,
most sellingest female artists of all time? I got the
top five here. One of them's gotta go their entire catalog,
everything they've ever done, gone forever.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
This is.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Here are the five. Madonna, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift,
and Beyonce.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
I'll go first. This is the god.
Speaker 6 (36:49):
They're always easy, always easy.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
But something doing with that list because I don't see
Stevie Nicks on that list.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
No, she's not the highest selling. Okay, that's my girl,
right this. You don't like Stevie Nick who doesn't.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Like Yeah, of course, so she's fine.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Stand back with her hair blowing. Stand that's a great video.
Love you, oh my leather and lace.
Speaker 6 (37:12):
Oh gosh, oh take the leather, you take the lace.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Love you got a tissue for me? Yes, I need
a tissue. We got a tissue for me.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
And when I talk about Stevie Nicks need a cold show, Yes,
all right, let's see.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Uh Taylor Swift?
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Really personal for you? It is personal. She's ruined the
football season. I'm tired because I'm tired of seeing her
cutaways on NBC. Enough already, Okay, thank you, Okay.
Speaker 14 (37:40):
You should not be bothered by that.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
I'm so bothered.
Speaker 14 (37:42):
Yeah, No, I can tell.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
I can tell. All right, this is one of the
one point two million people who watch that podcast. Yes,
I'm sure you're going to be objective.
Speaker 14 (37:52):
One's gotta go tie for me, probably be Madonna.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
For me Madonna.
Speaker 14 (37:59):
Yeah, I don't think I can go of Mariah Carey.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
I don't think why Carrie is only good during Christmas time.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
I'm just saying, yeah, No, I think for me it
might be Madonna.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
It might be too many husbands, is that what you know?
Speaker 5 (38:12):
I just like, if I look at my phone, I
actually don't think I have a Madonna song on my.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Phone, not even Vogue.
Speaker 14 (38:18):
No. I like the song, but I don't have it
on my phone.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
That she's in my That's the only song I have
of hers on your phone?
Speaker 1 (38:24):
You know what I mean? Totally collection?
Speaker 5 (38:27):
Yeah, Like I have Mariah Carey, I've got Beyonce, I've
got I got everyone else on my phone.
Speaker 14 (38:31):
So if I'm gonna be honest, it's got to beat
Madonna for me.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
All Right, we moved down the list, Alex the resident DJ.
You played all of.
Speaker 6 (38:38):
These you've ever done?
Speaker 1 (38:40):
First off?
Speaker 6 (38:41):
How dare you slight pose ex girlfriend Madonna like that
very easily? That's taste in women. That's wonderful all I'm saying.
But I'll say this, Yeah, if I never heard a
Taylor Swift song again in my life, wow, too soon?
I'm with you, like she needs the football world to
help her now all of a sudden, No, she doesn't.
Speaker 14 (39:02):
For any of this.
Speaker 6 (39:02):
Trust me, she needs them trust me. All right, we
Rob Parker. I'm just gonna say this real quick. We
have the beginning of that Travis Kelcey whatever people watch,
and she's there like crying my music. Stop you're a billionaire.
Stop stop all that? Shaye, where are you?
Speaker 15 (39:17):
I would say a certain person here, but I want
to keep dating within my age, So I think I'm
gonna say Madonna here.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
Why if you would have said what tailor Taylor Swift?
A lot of people would not have liked.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
You actually say Taylor Swift like you actually think that.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Yeah. I don't.
Speaker 15 (39:35):
I'd rather have Madonna Taylor Swift say that. I like Rihanna,
I love Mariah.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
Carrey, Join, Join, Robin Alex.
Speaker 14 (39:43):
It's a good crew.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
We got you got a good crew. This is the
Man crew right here.
Speaker 14 (39:47):
Yeah, should man, that's good.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
They're so mean to the Swift season. I wear your
chaps pants you you know what? I wanted up buying
a paradose by mistake because I saw that they were
a fifty percent off, but I didn't realize they meant
the back was missing.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
That's a good joke. That was a good joke. That was.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
All right.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
So we've got two votes from Madonna, two votes for
Taylor Swift. I think the answer is neither of those ones.
There's only one of these artists.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
Don't say it.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
There's only one of these.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
Don't say it.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Who had a run that was like less than five years.
Speaker 6 (40:23):
Don't say it.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
It's Rihanna. Rin Beyonce has done Rihanna better than Rihanna.
Ha bro, you just like her because the Fendi Lingerie line.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
No.
Speaker 12 (40:35):
Cake Cake No, that's the one song you know? Yes,
play that in Magic City, guys. I'm telling you, I
love that all right. Our number three is coming up?
Are we doing Shador Sandos? He's still in the League
Speaker 6 (40:51):
Rob He's a Chris Brown fan.
