that dude joining the show. We appreciate them.

Give it on the news man. Look at what's going on.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
I wasn't ready for me. I looked up. I just
wasn't ready. There's so much I can say. Maphew, yeah,
little nas X. Then you had them boots. You gotta
just you gotta stop right now. Okay, that's all bad.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
People are saying it's publicity. I was saying, Nah, there
is some issue, is there?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
For sure?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
He's in court over some some tru or possible overdose.
Doesn't look happy right now in court. They're showing him
in the in the county blues and all that. Yeah,
but I'll leave that alone. Fame is a drug, powerful drug.
So I'm gonna say, getting out there can getting you know,
you can get a little, you can lose yourself and
all of that. All right, Tell you.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
What else is a drug?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
That?
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Whatever he was on that.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Night, Yeah, you're not lying, You're not lying. He was
trying to say, it was stage like off it's Hollywood?
Wat is it only one car? Film? And old man?
This is he by the rollout? It's a rollout album.
Drug to do? Pr suns like he was a professional
troll is how he got in the game. But to uh,
like I said, just watching him in the County Blues
behind them bars that that didn't look happy. That didn't
(01:51):
look like a troll situation to me. If you miss

back joints not cooperating. Some days your body's like no.
On those days, Thankfully there's a lead. But just one
pill of lead provides up to twelve hours of paying relief,
so you can keep moving. Use as directed. Excuse me,
So I'm gonna bring in Rob g because Brock Purty
kind of breaking it down from John Lynch to Kyle
Shanahan to Brock Purty.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
All.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I've kind of had a few things to say last
couple of weeks about his performance and his playing kind
of what they're expecting, the difference between twenty twenty four
and in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
Yeah, well it started on this show when we were
talking about something Christian McCaffrey had said that about him actually,
and he was saying how he is a special quarterback.
That was the word that Christian McCaffrey used and kind
of raising mind brows around here, especially because we know
Rob Parker not the biggest Brock Party fan. Well, earlier
this week, the MMQB caught up with everybody involved with
(03:03):
the Niners, brass GM, John Lynch, head coach, Kyle Shanahan,
and Brock Purty himself, and as you guys know, when
they paid brock Party, it required them to relinquish a
lot of really good players because they just could not
financially keep everybody. You know, Dre Greenlaw's gone, Whufana has gone,
a couple of All Pro former all Pro guys are
(03:24):
out of there, and as a result, they're using the
term retool with this roster. So John Lynch was asked
about the idea of retooling this current team and what
his expectations are with brock Perty at the center, and
here's what he said, quote to Albert Breer, I think
you embrace it, and you're booyed by the fact that
(03:45):
we have people we respect that have done it. The
Rams have done a nice job of doing that and
never missed the beat. Stay competitive and then Buffalo obviously
it helps when you got Josh Allen, but hey, we've
got rock Party, so you know, speaking very highly of
his quarterback. Which is interesting because later in the article
they asked brock Purty a similar question, and in his
(04:09):
response he explained why his play he felt tapered off
twenty twenty four as opposed to twenty twenty three, and
in his answer, brock Purty said this quote, I felt
this pressure on myself that I needed to be this
superman type guy and go and make plays off schedule.
There were some moments when I was like, dude, you
(04:30):
got to go back to the basics. It doesn't matter
who's out there. The way Kyle calls the plays, you
run it, right, that's like your rookie year. It works.
Stick to that, be consistent. So a dichotomy of thought.
It feels like between what the GM expects from brock
Party and what Party expects from himself.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
All right, I want to jump in on the brock
Party side of this. I think we all can relate.
There have been instances in your life where maybe an
opportunity is on the line.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
He from.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
You're competing for something. Maybe it's a job. Obviously not
everybody plays professional sports, but it's a job you're trying
to get it. Maybe it's a girl. Something big is
on the line, and you start to overcompensate, right, You
start to change your approach a little bit and really
start to do more than what is ask of you
and what had worked previously. In his case, by the way,
(05:21):
a bunch of money is on the line, right, he
hasn't gotten that new extension hadn't gotten this deal, still
operating off a little bit of money. You remember, mister Irrelevant,
and so I think that plays in the back of
your head. He might not admit it, that's in the
back of your brain a little bit. Also, he mentioned
it you were in a super Bowl, Jimmy g had
been in the super Bowl, and I think in the backyard,
(05:41):
I want to get us back, get us over this hump,
this this organization deserves it. That would be great for me,
my teammates, I love them. Let's get back over. We
got to get back to the super Bowl. That has
to be the barometer, the super Bowl, the super Bowl,
And again, you get outside of yourself. You over compensate,
something I think many people struggle with in life. Also
a little bit of IMpower syndrome. Maybe there's a little
(06:01):
bit of a him that's still shocked that I'm a
seventh round pick, mister relevant, last pick, and I can't
believe I'm in this position leading one of the blue
blood organizations in this league. There's actual expectations on me,
and I think there's again you're trying to go outside
of yourself because you're like I have to prove it,
Like I can't believe I'm here, And what really worked
(06:23):
for you was staying within the system from top down.
They've done well with getting guys, drafting guys free agency,
and then Kyle Shanahan has done well providing you with
kind of the offensive schematics to have productive years and
to move this thing along. You have all pro players
around you, and even when they're not you can still
operate and make plays and live to play another day
(06:45):
and also put some things to your defense. Allah Patrick Mahomes,
Rob Parker sits here every day for no reason. Rob
G and I will all be talking about something on
the show and he'll be like, you know what reminds
me of Patrick Mahomes. You know his numbers twenty eight eleven,
Aaron Rodgers had the same. They weren't the same quarterback
because when you start to look in those numbers, Aaron
Rodgers was at the very top low I think the
(07:05):
lowest five of QBR and making plays that mattered, you know,
where Patrick Mahones was number one. So, yes, his numbers
weren't gaudy, forty touchdown, only five interceptions, so and so
he made the right play that he needed given everything
that was around him. Me from backs around. Guys are injured,
Receivers are injured, guys are in there, back out. All
of that, he knew, I had to just make a
couple of plays here there defense spectacular. We got a
(07:27):
chance to win. Peak. Tom Brady sometimes is that I'm
about to slant rock y'all to death. I'm about to
death by a thousand paper cuts. Just get it done,
get it out, live to play another day, make the
right play. And I think brock Perty is saying, I
need to get back to that. I don't have to
be a hero, don't have to prove it. I don't
have to show you that I'm the guy, and get
(07:48):
back to being you. Now there is more responsibility that
you're You know, you got all this money now and
you're the leader of this franchise. We've now invested in
believing you. And yes, there are gonna be times you
have to make plays with your legs. You're gonna have
to in plays. But the idea that you do have
to do it every play, that we're not relying upon you,
that otherwise we're not doing our job. And I give
an example, a favorable one for him, what he looked
(08:11):
like against the Lions in that NFC Championship game, lines
up seventeen on the second half, feeling good. Everybody I
know from Detroit was doing well. You know the little
it's a little boss up dance and everybody's booking Spirit
and they Boston and they're bossing up. Don't do do that.
Don't do that. Okay, Oh boy, they're bossing up and
everybody and their booking flights, Spirit flights to the Vegas.
(08:32):
They're on their way to Super Bowl with their buff
with the you know about it, with the buffs on
and everything. And then Rock Purdy made plays when he
needed to, extended plays, made some great throws and you're like, shoot,
that's the best version of him. So my whole point
is he from this is good for him realizing I
may have been over in compensating, I may have had
a little impossistion and freaking out showing I have to
(08:52):
do more than I need to. Getting back to relying
on what this team does well, relying on the weapons.
Kittle still is back and looks healthy. McCaffrey's back and
looks healthy. You got some pieces around you also just
made the trade as well to require what's his name
from the Chiefs as well. So you've got some pieces
around sky Moore. We'll see what happens there. Maybe he
can be better than he was with them. Just get
(09:15):
back to that. Yeah, I think it's this is his year.
It was a whirlwind.
Speaker 6 (09:22):
He came in three years ago, got hurt, went five
and oh, went all the way to the NFC Championship Game.
Then the next year came out and I think started
seven and oh or something like that, and they went
all the way to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
And so he's had some success. He's shown that he
can play at a very high level in this league.
And I've always been a fan of him because I
know how hard it is to come in with really
no expectations and then change people's perception of you as
a player. And that's what you do if you have
(10:01):
any success as a seventh round draft pick. Tom Brady
did it. I was a seventh round draft pick who
played thirteen years, one hundred and fifty nine games, and
so there is a lot of pressure and responsibility on
you after you've changed people's perception of who you are
(10:25):
as a player. All he has to do is just
go bet him, because he showed us he started. I
mean I remember actively talking about those games on my
Sunday night show. As he was rising, I was like, man,
this is out of control. And so all he's done
(10:45):
in three years is have a seventy percent win percentage,
sixty seven touchdowns I think, twenty five interceptions, and ninety
five hundred yards in three years, two full years of
starting in five games the first year. If you would
(11:08):
have told him, tell me that was a first round
draft pick, he would be. He would be like, he's
right on target, he's right on pace. But because he
was the last pick in the draft, people are like, oh, well,
the other shoe is gonna drop off. He can't be
possibly that. It had to be this and it had
to be that. No, he played a bunch of football
(11:28):
at our state in college, had a lot of reps.
He can he knows exactly what he's doing. Now he
just has to be him. Don't be what others perceive
you should be.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Just be you.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Kyle Shannan's a tremendous offensive mind. You got a great team,
great organization, and just let the game come. And that's
where he is now. It's no longer underpaid. They can't
then that's not year, no longer underpaid. Life has been
a little bit more comfortable for him and his family now.
So now you don't have to worry about any of that. Now,
(12:02):
you just really going out there and playing you back
out on the street, back in the backyard, back in
high school, back in college. Just go let that thing rip, man,
and good things will happen.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
And I think again most of us have to go
through that in something where pressing is the word. Yea life,
press life. You're pressing and you realize, Man, I'm best
off what I'm doing me, I'm best off what I'm
trusting the team around me in this case literally the
team also the system and organization. Wrong. You got a
great Coyle Shanahans be great now, Listen. Does he need
to run the ball when he needs to run the
ball sometimes in big time games, super Bowls, whether he's
(12:35):
the offensive coordinator or the head coach, whether it be
Atlanta or San Francisco. Yes, but you still have those
things built around you for a successful run to the
tune of all the money that you've just gotten. So
to me, I like that he's acknowledged that, I like
the organization from top down and saying we clearly believe
in that we've invested in him, and they're saying, let's
get back to business and doing what we do best.
(12:56):
So eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, let's take
some calls on this, Hevetrom Let's do it this way
when Rob is generally here not paying him, get out
of here. I think he's closer to being seventh round
pick than anything. I think there's better out there. Oh
and by the way, Rob Boston would say, get rid
of Kyle Shannahan shoes blow out. He's a huge get
ready Kyle Shanahangan eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
(13:19):
But maybe you are too, Maybe you say, I'm just
still not convinced on Brock. I think Brock is what
we saw last year is really who he is. Or
maybe you think that he's in the right place and
this year should be better. Either way that matter eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We want to hear
from you? Is the odd couple with Eapherman for Rob
Parker on this Magic City Money. I'm Calf Monday, I'm
Kelvin Washington. Stick with your boys. Fox Sports Radio.

(15:16):
to hit the subscribe button. We surely appreciate that you

So go check out a brand new channel, and again
just search Odd Couple FSR on YouTube and make sure
you subscribe. All right, talking about Brock Party and basically
he recognized that, look, man, I don't have to be
superman and get it done. And I think sometimes we
mix up some of the best quarterbacks we think of
(15:38):
had years where that's when they're at their best. They
didn't become Superman. You know, everybody can't be Josh Allen.
Right now, he literally jumping dent to the jumping over
people in snow looking like Superman. And Lamar Jackson. We
already know what he does. So you and I were
kind of on the same page about that. I wanted
to throw it out to a few calls eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. Let's go to Chilli Chilli, Chili,
(15:58):
Tim and the tap you over with the couple. Fox
Sports Radio, What up, Calvan, what up? We got?
Speaker 9 (16:09):
You know, I'm the resident forty nine Ers fan. Been
the forty nine Ers fans is nineteen eighty two, so
I'm a real real fan. I look at it this way,
uh and one thing I want forty nine fans and
other people stopped saying, Jimmy jem went to the Super Bowl. Okay,
this guy went to two. Possibly he would have been
in three had he not got hurt in the NFC game,
And I think he probably had a good shot of
(16:31):
winning that year. I think they actually would have beat
the Chiefs had he played. They made it to the
super Bowl and said the Eagles, So I don't hear
about Jimmy g got to one. He got to two
and only missed a third because he was injured. And
I think all he has to do is just go
out there and just did what he did those first
two years and just play his game and just you know,
(16:51):
work the system. And it's okay to be a system quarterback.
You know, everybody makes it like it's a bad thing,
but hey, if it's getting the result that he's gotten,
the sure a lot of guys will only be systant
quarterbacks to get to shoe super Bowls, you know, in
three NFC championships. So I said, go out there, glad
you got your bag. Do you do what you did,
go back to what you did and you got a
good chance of getting back again.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
There you have it. Yeah, man, I mean you're you're
high on them, right? Oh yeah, absolutely appreciate you, Chili.
Speaker 6 (17:20):
I think he's a I think he has what it
what it takes in Obviously, he's proved to be a
starting quarterback in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Let's go to so many others who haven't a big
facts and when there's some who come out highly coveted
and never really get the job done as well. So
he's seventh round. We've seen first round, We've seen first
dates not be able to do it. Let's go out
to New Jersey. We got Drew and New Jersey Drew.
You're on the Ocht couple of Fox Sports. Ready, what's
up Drew?
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Hey, you guys. I think it's mainly the narrative. I
don't think he's you look at him, he's you know,
he's not cool. You know if the shore saying is
we like the very outcome, the media likes that. Prid example,
I put him in the same category as Jalen Hurts.
Jalen Hurts has an or I feel like before he
win it, won the super Bowl. Yet you have some
people say he couldn't win based on his playing style,
(18:05):
but we also he's a likable person on the On
the other side, look at Nick Sirianni. At the same time,
when Jalen Hurts won it, We're like, hey, let's put
him in the top five. But then we're like, what
do we do with Nick Sirianni? Right, I look at
Rock Purdy as that same caliber as Jalen Hurts, where
he's not a superhero like Josh Allen Lamar Patrick, but
(18:30):
you put it in the next category where you still
need your what is it the truck driver versus what
is it versus the trailer? Right? I think he's Yeah,
I think he's a trailer But I think that there's
very few that can do that.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
I thought when you said when when he said him
and Jalen had something in common, he kind of see
season as similar. I thought he was talking they both
wear kakis. Don't know what Jalen is with this this
Nino Brown look. He's been in with the kais and
the Black Turtle and it's like a hybrid of Nino
Brown and the Rock in high school. I don't know
what's going on with Jaalen right now. No, Yeah, but
(19:08):
the forty nine ers, I think they're in a good
position where we talked about this Friday. I think, yeah,
me and Rob G that we're doing a segment on
and I can ask you this quickly before we get
to Steve too. We were doing a segment on worse
to first, which kind of which team could kind of
go from having a bad, you know, season, worse than
the division and then bounce back. Rob G said it
was the Giants. He thinks they have a chance to
(19:29):
jump in front of everybody. I said, the Titans in
their division have a chance. You know, if the Texans
were to stay put or go down to nine and eight,
maybe they could jump and just be around there. We
both said, we fully admit though the forty nine ers
will be the more logical one as far as just
the obvious, but that it will be difficult considering the
Rams still projected to be really good. You don't know
(19:51):
exactly about the Cardinals, and then we also don't know
Sam Darnold. What would he and the Seahawks be. But
you're big on the forty nine ers, not just brock Perty.
Speaker 6 (19:58):
Yeah, I think I think it's a well run organization.
I think John and Kyle have really work well together
and putting a roster together, and and bringing guys in
and and getting the most out of their talent. Not
not many organizations can survive a botched move up give
(20:25):
up assets first round quarterback. They didn't miss a beat,
and that's a testament to the program and the team
that they've assembled.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Now.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
Health is a is a big part of that. Right now.
They you could go play receiver for him. They're having
some health issues. A receiver two catches in me, but
as long as one is for a first down and
one is for a touchdown, will take it. But I
think brock party understanding now it's his ship. It's like,
(21:00):
there's no looking over the shoulder. Brother, you got the bag.
You are the guy. And just now seeing what his
leadership style will be like coming in there. He will
be a team captain, and how can you lead him
into heaven? You know, Christian McCaffrey on your side is
a huge, huge, huge asset when it comes to taking
a lot of pressure off any quarterback at any level.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Without a doubt, and having that guy back from past
catching to just being a decoy on some plays. Obviously
running the ball as well, that's gonna be good. And
then bringing in Robinson Julia to run the ball. It's
a little more heavy hitter. That's a good pickup for
them as well. So we both expect some things for them.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
All right.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
We gotta have a conversation about two dudes who had
a bunch of success together, but now seems like it's
some beef in the streets. But I don't think all
beef is bad. I'll explain what I mean on the
other side of trending right now, Steve the Sager, what
is trending?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to listen.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Love Steve, thank you so much. We appreciate it. We
already odt couple kel from Washington City for salam on
a Magic City Monday. And if you got aky knees,
a stiff back, joints not cooperating some days, your body
is just like noping on those days. Luckily, there's a
leave which just one pill of leave provides us twelve
hours of paying relief, so you can keep moving. Make
sure you use as directed, all right. So we've had
(22:22):
some shots being taken back and forth between Robert Kraft
and also Bill Belichick, and there's been a little bit
of beef between these guys and really and it goes
back even before just what we've heard recently. You can
even throw Tom Brady in the mix, almost like he's
had to pick sides between parents, like no, I'm going
with mommy, you know, I'm going with daddy. A whole
lot of winning between them. But again some shots have
(22:44):
been taken. So the most recent one Rob G we
got Bill Belichick was on with the Boss was at
the Boston Globe.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Yeah, he did an exclusive with the Boston Globe.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Obviously has a.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Good relationship with those guys, picking of course, and it's
a big weekend for them because they get the season
kicked off North Carolina on Monday Labor Day against TCU.
So ahead of that game, he spoke to The Boston
Globe about his expectations for the season and the difference
mostly between the college game and the pro game, and
during the conversation, Belichick, for whatever reason, decided that was
(23:17):
an opportunity to take some shots at his former employer, saying, quote, well,
there's no owner, there's no owner's son, there's no cap,
everything that goes with the marketing, everything else, which I'm
off for that, but it's way less of what it
was at that level. Generic NFL teams, you have the owner, president,
general manager, personnel director, college director, pro director, cap guy,
some other consultant, then the head coach. I'd say, when
(23:37):
we had our best players in New England, we had
fewer people and more of a direct vision.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
End quote.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Whoa yeah, And you know, it reminds me of too.
It's kind of what again. I'm watching the America's team,
the Dallas Cowboys thing, and you can see sometimes there's
a moment where they talk about in ninety two, they're
getting ready to go into the playoffs, and Jimmy Johnson
is because this is the year. Everybody's like, oh, this
(24:04):
is the year they could win. It could be the
best team in the NFL. And he's high. He's just
wound tightly and he's finally getting ready to give his
team Troykman telling the stories that he's finally going to
give us some praise. He look, the season is over,
getting ready to go to the postseason, and for once
he was about to say, man, y'all did really good.
Y'all impressed me. Y'all play hard, and he go, y'all
we done. We won the division. We're gonna be a
number one seed, and I just really love the way
(24:25):
we got And as he's getting ready to bull, the
door kicks in. Jay Jones walks in with a bunch
of other people showing around, Hey, welcome to my fancy places.
Is the team here and just bringing a little bit
of anybody and everybody in and Jimmy walks out, He
just nods and walks out. And Troy said, we never
got that that moment where he kind of like Dad
looked at us and said, I'm proud of you in
that moment. And I say that to say, because sometimes
owners can bring in too much, right, you got too
(24:47):
much going on, and you're bringing in family members, you're
doing this, and that's the privilege you have when you're
the owner. But more of the overarching thing for me
with this, Zephraim, is I look at these two and
I want to call it two and a half three,
if you will, with Tom Brady that sometimes it doesn't
have to be a perfect situation. We don't have to
be besties, we don't have to be buddies to make
(25:08):
this thing work. And I'll take what we do for
a living. People would be shocked. Some folks have had
shows for ten, fifteen, twenty years together and they've never
met their other folks, person's wives, or or they've never
been in their home like we came and we had
dinner together, or ever we have dinner once every couple
of months. You be blown away how many people we're
good at this it works. We wap up, no hate,
(25:30):
no anything. We go home. I got my friends, I
got my life. You got your friends, you got your life.
I was blown away when I used to work at
the Four Letter Place. There's a show that goes on
for so long, and I was blown away. These guys
they're they're very cool and the show's great. They've never
really hung out ever. And the joke is somebody'll be like, oh, man,
come over to the He're like, no, you know, I'm
not coming, and they just but it works. And to me,
(25:52):
we have seen instances where I'm gonna put away the
personal things. I know you're great for this. I know
you're great, whether it be personnel. You're great at the ex's, no's,
you're great at the managing people. I'm great at money.
I'm great at you know, bringing things together. I'm gonna
bring you the players you need. I'm a son. We
can make this marriage work. And that's my big takeaway
(26:13):
is everything doesn't always have to be peachy for it
to work. And we've seen examples of this. Doctor Bust
and Phil Jackson with bump heads every now and again. Bock,
Doctor Buss, Jerry West bump heads every now and again,
you have players and coaches that bump heads. Shaq and
Kobe bumped heads a whole lot, but they knew for
the most part, they were able to get a bunch
of wins and run three rings and go to another championship.
(26:34):
But they lost to the Pistons. But you had a
great run, and you don't always have to be best.
He's to make something work. And I just think, now
these old guys are taking shots at each other. This
Robbert Craft has taking some of him, and it is
weird to me because we've we had so much success
for twenty plus years, the three of us all together,
that we don't need to do that, or maybe we
do it once on the Tom Brady Roast. We get
(26:57):
our little jokes out, get him out there. Really, really,
what they need to be focusing on this point is
double Daton. Look, we got the same lights, the same fetishes,
you know, the same tendencies, the same attractions. Let's just
go talk about our super.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
Bowl girlfriends went to high school together.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
They let's go have our girlfriends put on the big
oversized dark shades, go get their lattes and go to
target Black people.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Ain't going to target right now.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
But and and let's just go do that instead of
taking these shots at each other. One I'm ninety seven,
one I'm eighty. I'm at it on a few years.
But you get my point. But my large point is
that you can get along, you can work well. We
don't have to be best friends right now. Our girlfriends
can be best friends.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
Yeah, it's one of those things where you've had so
much success together, everybody wants to be the reason of
the success we saw with Belichick and Brady.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (27:55):
And obviously Belichick is like to crab or I brought
this here, I did this, and Kraft is like, I
built this. And so there's a lot of egos in victory.
There's a lot of egos in victory, and everyone wants
(28:16):
to be the reason. You couldn't have done this without me. Well,
you couldn't have done this if I allowed you, right, Like,
So now Tom Brady has a leg up because he left.
In the very next year he left, he won a
Super Bowl. So he's kind of like, no, it was
it was me.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
It was me.
Speaker 6 (28:35):
And so you see, Craft and Tom Brady don't have
a problem this me and that man. Myrtis is just giant.
My the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And
so Bill is the hot man out. He's in North
Carolina going to the student union and and homecoming shin
(29:00):
digs and so and learning how to how to tweet
and use an Instagram and thread and.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
The tea app.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
He's supposed to be really working on threading, right, So
it's it's an everybody wants to be the guy. And
so you'll see this come out and be more and
more as we go, and then when the documentary hits,
then you're gonna get all the juice. You can get
all the tea, all the juice, all everything, because it's over, right,
(29:33):
it's over. We got them all. Everybody's off doing whatever
they're doing. Uh, And then we'll get the real story,
maybe behind Spygate and deflate Gate and all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
I don't know. I don't think we'll get that because
I think that will collectively damage all of them. I
don't think there's a point that. But I do think
we'll get some jabs. I mean, even again, I keep
going back to the America's teams. That's just the one
I'm watching, and I like that a lot of them
are keeping Hones. It's like, Yo, this par all but
he was. He was a jerk, yo, Jimmy Johnson. Right now,
(30:04):
I'm only on episode maybe I think it's three. He
getting smoked right now. They're like, I liked him and
he was crazy. They even kepper. They said, yeah, when
he decided to take the job in Dallas after twenty
some years, he said, hey, babe, I'm go ahead and
get this divorce and kids, y'all go do y'all thing,
because I'm gonna go ahead focus on football like whoa,
which that's just what we're doing out here. We just
(30:25):
go ahead. Yeah, baby, I'm gonna have to get this divorce.
I'm gonna go to Dallas.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Right.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
We can't do this together, yo, we can't work on
this thing. No, no, no, no, but but yeah. So, but
the point is, I think, as I'm going to continue
to watch this, and I think, rob G, I think
you already finished it. If I'm not, did you? Yeah,
you finished it? You may have as well. From I
already know they're gonna eventually say it was the lemon
was worse to squeeze because what Jimmy got out of us,
he got the best out of us. We were able
(30:49):
to win.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
And so.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
That just goes back to my point that sometimes, man,
you ain't got to be the best of friends. You
don't have to have the you know we man where
the just we hang out there all the time for
something to be able to work and you'll be able
to put things aside. Rogie.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
So now that Bill Belichick apparently is an open book
and he'll talk about anything and anybody which goes against
everything he did in New England for decades.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Man, Bruh.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
This North Carolina Hard Knock so to speak on Hulu
that's coming out. They just announced it. Do you expect
we'll see any jabs at the Patriots and Craft during
the Hard.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Knocks one hundred?
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Will they go over well? Because no one's expectingly gonna
be any good this year? So do you think it'll
come off as cheap if they're not winning?
Speaker 1 (31:33):
No, No, he's earned that.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
Yeah, I agree with that, Like if people want to
know whether no one's expecting them to be great at
North Carolina. So I think there's an expectation of them
be getting better. But I don't know if anybody has
them ranked in the top twelve and going to the
College football playoffs.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
They're pick to finish eighth in the ACC.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Yeah, that's not gonna get you in.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
That ain't gonna be That's not gonna get shit. And
I don't think any of us expect this to be
an elongated thing, Like he's not Bill's not there for
five years, you know, like we're gonna do this. He's
not Jim harbaughing We're gonna rebuild this program and get
us to a natty that ain't happening. So I think
this is a year. This is him to me saving
face because I thought I'd be walking into it. I
(32:20):
thought I could Tom Brady this, leave the Patriots, go
to another team and prove that I was the guy
and win a super Bowl. The NFL was like NA
were good though, good career. He may have been able
to do it in Atlanta, though, because that was the
team he was. That was a team that was a
team that has play has players. Even now they have
players that are in place. They just didn't have the
right coach. True, but I think he expected to be
(32:44):
more well received, like like I'm the guy. Like, okay,
if you feel like you're a guy, you've been in
the marriage. And then if I you know he was
just in this part our way, and you're that guy
got money or handsome. You feel like you're gonna have
to pick of the litter, and he didn't. Bill Belichick
walked out thinking he was gonna have to pick it.
They gonna want your boy, they've been waiting on your boy.
Let me get on it. And then we open the door.
It was like I'm free, and they was like cool,
(33:06):
you are cool. You free to go ahead, get up
out of here. And I think that was an ego check,
like whoa. And then when he finally did set a
lot of teams like you know, Atlanta. I like Atlanta.
I think the division terrible.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
I can come in. Dan eleven wins right off the bat,
and we'll see Kirk Cousins. At the time, Kirk Cousins
looks pretty good, and they're like, well, you know what,
maybe we don't really want you Bill. No, it's like oh.
And then I think he went on scorched your avengeful bum.
And when that ego gets bruised, man, he turned on
tender and there was a rap over.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Tend to hit him earlier? Better, Yeah hit him, man.
That was a calculated airplane seat.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
He was not too bad.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
It's like, let me put me right next to him.
Oh mind trading seats with me? Yeah, and then put
the camera on and then put the camera, put the
camera on me. I'm gonna get him. I know what
I'm doing. I did this before. Perfect game to me.
