those days, luckily there's a leave, just one pill. A
leave provides up to twelve hours of pain relief so
that you can keep moving.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Use as directed, don't forget.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Lamar Mitchell returns from bet MGM, the director of Trading.
He'll be joining us in about twenty eight minutes. Rob Gie,
how many years has it been for Lamar? Like four
or five? Or has it been?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
It hasn't been the whole time, right, I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
We had two guys before him, okay, and then we
finally settled on Lamar Mitchell. As we get ready, he's
the best to celebrate our only set up for the
best seventh anniversary of the Odd Couple and our first
anniversary with me and Kelvin coming up on the sixteenth
of September ten.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Nothing chargers up on the Chiefs right now, going for
another fourth and one or debate.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
The real quick guys.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
I know you're busy doing the show, but I'm looking
at the box score here midway through the second quarter,
Patrick mahomes the presentative MVP according to win NFL Executive
seven for thirteen thirty four yards.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Is that Daniel Jones or Patrick? What are we talking?
Speaker 6 (02:26):
That?
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Ain't gonna do it? He gonna mess around and find
a way to win this ugly game. He's gonna have
held twenty eight. Here we go, there was fifteen and one.
I'm not you recking like I'm just hoping. I'm just
saying hoping. This is how they do it. You are
hoping they find ways to winning. They've been doing this
for years.
Speaker 7 (02:41):
Rob.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
It's not like I'm making this up, like it's just
just the way. Was this not the exact game last year?
Meaning not just every game. That's what I'm saying. They
find a way. They're going to halftime say down ten seven.
You're like, how they only at some point it's gonna
catch up to him. And that's my point that this year,
those lucky things that happen and for them is going
to turn around. It's gonna start with this game. He
(03:02):
is already started. Xaviy Worthy got hurt. Ye boom first play.
We look at least runs right into Kelsey boom shoulder.
We'll see Helon was too busy looking at the stands
probably and that's why he might have been thinking about
them wedding invitation? All right, should we do this?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
All right?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Should my uncle such as such come? I don't know,
all right, we can't talk about this. We got to
talk about uh spitgate that's going on. Uh spit gate happened.
Of course, Jalen Carter, we were alive on the air
when the game started Eagles Cowboys, and the initial spit
were kind of, oh wait what Jensen Carter kicked out
the game.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
We're like, what happened?
Speaker 4 (03:42):
And then we started getting little bit more context, you know,
context of what was happening. We getting more different camera angles,
you start to see a little bit more here, a
little bit more. Here's what Dak had to say about
what occurred.
Speaker 8 (03:51):
I probably spend a thousand times throughout the game, I mean,
especially game day, maybe even in general, and something I
guess I'm not proud of. But in that case, he
was trolling, I guess you could say, trying to mess
with Tyler Booker. I was just looking at him. I
was right here by the two linemen, and I guess
I needed to spin and I wasn't gonna spin on
my linman, and I just spit ahead. But I'll tell
you was back there where Joely was in that sense,
(04:13):
and he asked, or he goes, you're trying.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
To spin on me?
Speaker 8 (04:16):
And at that point, I mean I felt like like
like he was insulting me, like I don't I wouldn't
spin on somebody. I'm damn sure not trying to spin
on you. Like we're about to play a game.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'll buy it.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
I'll buy rob You and I watching it live, you
couldn't really see because you know it just happened, and
we're like, they're more focused on what happened for Jalen H.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Carter. Then we started to get more angles.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
You start to see kind of how Dak on the sideline,
hanging with his team kind of telling him, showing what happened.
And then more you look at it, look, Jalen Carter
was absolutely in the wrong.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
And we know this happens all the time.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
It's always the second person that gets caught, that gets
in trouble. Right you watching the NBA game, the person
punching somebody, he said, right now, we punching me pushes
him right front the ref ref.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
All I saw was that he kicks out the game.
It happens all the time.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
And when you saw there's review, you see Dak as
he mentioned, he kind of spits toward him, not a
loogie or anything, but he kind of spits and then
I think Jalen Carter respond, if you spending, I'm spitting
and a little smile in the wink that Dak gave.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
You saw that, Rob, No, you're you're, you're, you're you're
letting Jayalen No, so he.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Got he got kicked off. I completely agree.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
But what I'm saying is if Dak spit his way,
does that get suspended?
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I think they're gonna look, you just said it his way,
he spit on Dak him.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
I think I think they're gonna look at this and
I think they're gonna say, Dak spit his way.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
He responded, he got kicked out. We're gonna move forward.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
And that's what I think is gonna happen, because if
from the first angle we saw it look like he just
spit a louga, wait what what just happened?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
That the more you.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
See it, Dak spits his way, Dak kind of smirks
and smiles at him, and then I think he responds.
So I think the legue is gonna say, now that
we looked at every angle, looked at everything, we heard everything.
He responded to being spit at, and I think the
league is going to say, you know what, move on
Football's back. He missed the whole game, and I think
that's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I disagree. I think they need to put the ky
bosh and let him know. Come on, dude, that is
the lowest of low to spit at somebody, and there's
no reason for it.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
The game. It because you just said it. You didn't.
You even said it, said didn't, but you didn't.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
You said that he did. He spit at him or
his way. There's a big difference what you just said
and you don't know. It looks like he spit that way,
and that's why he didn't get Dak didn't get thrown
out because that's not what I don't.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Think they saw it. We didn't see it for hours
different angles. That's not what happened.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
And and the bottom line is that's not your response,
Like I don't agree what that's your response? Like, seriously,
unless Dak walked up to you and spit in your face,
that that's your response.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Come on, man, A Carter.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Has had issues and other things and that's the way
he handled it. You gotta let this guy know. This
is not what we're doing here. This is not you
got a uniform on you represent the city. You represent
an organization. I'm sorry, No, no, this is not acceptable
in the National.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Football and that's why he got kicked out the game.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
And I think they're gonna review this, and I think
they're gonna say he got kicked out the game. We
looked at every table looking at it. You see Dak
spit his way, kind of smirking, smile like yeah, and
then he spins, and I think they're gonna say we
didn't see this. Then we can view this as Dak
instigated it and that was his response, and the response
warranted being kicked out. That's the penalty. Move forward Football's back.
(07:44):
Dak even said it. Nobody wants people to get kicked out.
You want your best players to be on the No,
he shouldn't spit and he wouldn't have got kicked out.
So okay, let's say, so you're reviewing this, Dak is
just exonerated. If he spit his way and winked at
him and smiled at him, Yep, I just don't see
what Dak did. Dak did not spit directly at him.
This guy walked up and spit at Dak Prescott. You
(08:06):
cannot have players doing that. I just I'm agreeing with
the latter portion right, and.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
It went off to the side or some he walked
up to him and spit at him. But I'm going
but I'm.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Never going to be acceptable. But you could even more,
even more of an issue with that. That's a total
sign of disrespect. That could have blown up into something
even bigger.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
But so I take a call from Jalen Carter and
we said, hey, we saw you know if I'm the
league and the suspensions, what happened? You know, Hey, we're
on the phone with you. What happened? What you're telling
your story? And he's like, man, look him over there.
He talked his back. I'm talking to smack And then I
thought he spent at me. And then the review the tape,
I think they go, you took it too far. That's
why we kicked you out. But I don't think. I
(08:51):
think there there isn't a reaction to an action. And
I think if he tells him, I he looked like
he spent at me and winked, and so I reacted.
I think I can see I see away where the
league goes, well, don't ever do that again. But I
can understand why you would do that. Don't do that.
But I can get why you did that, because the
same way the average person fields.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Don't spin at me. He felt he spinned him.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Once you see it, and again, if you're in a bigger, man,
better world, you take it off. You look at the
ref you say, he did this so you can play
the game. You don't hurt your team, you don't cost
your team, and you're a part of it. You can
be a part of the game. I think that's idea.
Sometimes you set.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
The tone for and let everybody know that if you
do this kind of behavior, which I think is anti
social and disrespectful kind of behavior, we're not going to
tolerate in the league. Not only did you get thrown
out now right, you're gonna get it's gonna cost you
money as well. That'll put the ky bosh on that.
Even the idea if you could lose a game check
(09:52):
over spinning at somebody. You don't think that would send
a message to people. This is not what we do
in this league, and you can't do whatever you want.
There's got a he's some discipline and that's all. I
just think that that is the lowest thing I agree
with that. Nobody have you got a fight.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Right, have he pushed Dak?
Speaker 6 (10:10):
Right?
Speaker 2 (10:11):
What did you just do?
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Seriously that I could accept that I could understand spit?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
What have you seen a place the last time? Was
it Roberto Alomar who spin the spin the umpire?
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Remember that that was a big thing and it tarnished
the way that people looked at him after that.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Rob g let me do it you in reverse and
bring you with once we got all these angles and
then we saw Dak on the sideline kind of laughing
and explaining what he himself Dak did because if you
don't know, if you saw that video kind of shows Dak, yeah,
showing like, look I spit like this where you come
out on this.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Well, I disagree with you and that I don't think
that Jalen Carter is not or should not be suspended.
I think he's absolutely gonna get spend at least for
one game. Where I think that we have another conversation
to be had, is I really believe that Dak Prescott
is also in danger of getting suspended in this situation.
(11:14):
I can see both of them and once they watch
that video. To your point, he kind of not instigated,
but here baiting, I think is a good word. I
can see a situation where Dak comes out, at a
minimum getting a fine. That's but I think it's it's
more likely Dak gets suspended, then Jalen does not get suspended.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Okay, and that's fair, I understand it.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
I just felt like once to me the everybody's initial thing,
because all we saw was that, and once you saw
the whole thing and you put it in the context,
and that's his reaction, right, that's his reaction to being
spit at.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Like, I can't tell you.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
I don't know how Rob g Rob parkerkevn one, I
don't know how we're gonna react to somebody spits at
you and winks at you. I don't know you might
you spinning me out back. And so I think I
can see a world where the NFL says, you know what,
by guns?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
By guns? I get it now.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
I saw that. I can understand why you thought that.
Don't do it again. Both of y'all two want to
be spinning at each other. What are you doing?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
That's but but but I don't think that that's because
if Dak spit out him, he would have been tossed out.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
They didn't see it.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Yeah, So when you were saying they didn't see you
Sure they didn't see it, because how do you know
they didn't see it that there's not how many officials
were out there, nobody saw it. I mean you they're coming,
we saw is Jalen caught a intentionally spin agree with
that that was no infans or, but like something came
out of his mind and sile. You know how people
(12:30):
are this is like who knew this? I guess it
says spitgate, So we can go there. Some people don't
look through the teeth and it shoots out that there
is that like a little and any kind of winks
and like smiles and smiles that Jalen like. And Jalen
just went and I think clearly they see that and
that's why he got kicked out. But I just think, Dak,
(12:51):
once you viewed it more, I'm wondering if that's gonna
give more of a pass to Jalen, because again, he
got kicked out the whole game. It was literally he
didn't a single snap. So I think that is the
game that they could say he was suspended for a
game because it was that whole game. He didn't get
the angel rees, he didn't get the you only go
miss the first half.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
He didn't get that all right?
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. It's pretty simple.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
All right, takeing calls, uh.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Dak spitgate, Dak spitz but Jalen spicks the loogie? Is
there a level of spit to get suspended? Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox?
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Have we got?
Speaker 1 (15:31):
How about John? And what's Palm Beach? You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
What's up?
Speaker 10 (15:35):
John, Kelvin, Rob, what's up?
Speaker 7 (15:38):
Tellas how y'all doing?
Speaker 2 (15:40):
What's up? Man doing great?
Speaker 10 (15:41):
I'll listen. Cotta definitely needs to be suspended and fine,
And I mean that's the dirtiest thing you can do
to a human being, is spitting at him. Now, when
it comes to that, Dak, if you if the league
wants to give him like a taunton't find something along
those lines and treated a little separate. Obviously with Calvin's
(16:03):
point action reaction, I.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
Get it that. I think that should be as well
as a penalty, you know what I mean. I don't
know if Jack gets suspended, but you know, find him
for taunting because that's a version of taunting and the
league's not putting up with it that with that this
year as well?
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Okay, John, appreciate you, John.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, how about appreciate you, Chili Tim in Atlanta. That's
why you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
What's up Tim?
Speaker 11 (16:31):
Yo?
Speaker 12 (16:31):
Yo yo yo?
Speaker 13 (16:32):
What up?
Speaker 14 (16:32):
Broll?
Speaker 2 (16:34):
How are you?
Speaker 14 (16:35):
I'm good man, I'm good John. I actually took my point.
That is actually what I told Rob Ge. He did
the same exact then that because they were talking about
taunting and then sports and sportsmanship this year is like
the thing that they're not going to tolerate it watching.
Speaker 11 (16:52):
So I think that at.
Speaker 14 (16:53):
Least the minimums should be getting to get a fine
for talenting. But you know, Jay McCarter, I remember that
crash if he called somebody to be killed with that
bad decision the street racing here down in act and
so I mean, he's making questionable and immature things. Isn't
that new for him? And you know, we don't want
to be trying not to hold a person down to
(17:15):
the worst moment, but once the moments keep coming.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Then there you go, that's exactly what you happened, because
of spitting at somebody is really low, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 4 (17:27):
So if I real question though, if I slap you,
can you punch me?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
That's you know, because a lot of people say. You
can't the reaction.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
You can't tell somebody how to if I if I
slap you, it's you said. Spitting is very Listen, I
much do you slap somebody whatever?
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Have a blow, you know, swing on you again. He
could have pushed that, what are you doing? You know
what I'm saying, saying, stay at him and then I
might spin at you. Now we gotta spend contest. Jeff
in Virginia. You're on the yard couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Jeff, Hey.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
Good evening, gentlemen. A.
Speaker 13 (18:03):
I don't agree with that that specific point at all,
fitting is there's nothing.
Speaker 6 (18:10):
First of all, Dak was shutting the eight yards away
from him when he spit. He walked all the way
yes up.
Speaker 13 (18:20):
To day and got in his face mask and then spit,
So it wasn't like he was even five six seven
yards close to him with That's.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Why it makes no sense.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
I don't agree with that, that's right.
Speaker 13 (18:33):
And the last point I'll say is, once again the
Cowboys a week somebody on the Cowboys offensive line should
have removed every saliva van his face.
Speaker 15 (18:45):
You know what, No, I know what you mean, right right,
it's such a vile hash somebody should have got.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
The only thing I'll say is again, I don't know,
like who saw what? It was so fat?
Speaker 4 (18:56):
It was like a PUSH's ovy arms are extended. It's
you know what I mean? You see that it was
so fast? I wonder who saw what really? But I
definitely get his point.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Though, Andre in Massachusetts, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
What's up, Dreight, how you doing?
Speaker 11 (19:11):
Thanks for taking a call.
Speaker 12 (19:12):
Absolutely jailing card and needs to be suspended, and it
needs to be a two game minimum, not a slap
on the ridge. NFL right, Roger Goodell with your conduct
policy coming in here, you're supposed to be the sheriff
right the league when you kind of started out, you know,
had too many things going on off the field, and
so there's been instances where he's come in and he's
investigated and he's shown.
Speaker 6 (19:32):
A firm hand.
Speaker 12 (19:32):
Now, listen, I realized emotions, all that stuff, Dalen Carter. Overall,
he's remade his image.
Speaker 11 (19:39):
But you don't spit on people.
Speaker 12 (19:41):
Bottom line and the story.
Speaker 6 (19:42):
And let's just be clear on this.
Speaker 12 (19:43):
Had some of the demographics been different in terms of
who's spin on who, this would be a much different conversation.
All right, So it's absolutely unacceptable on and you, Roger,
you need to say this type of conduct.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
I don't care if the.
Speaker 12 (19:54):
Guys might have known each other, you know, be friends
off the fields, on and forth. We're gonna have this minimum.
It needs to be a minimum of two games. If
you wanted to come in and say something like four,
I wouldn't have a problem with it, because again, if
different people had spit on different people, this thing would
be nuclear.
Speaker 11 (20:10):
Right now.
Speaker 12 (20:10):
Okay, so it's unacceptable. And Jayleen Carter somebody that you know,
you're streeting things out after what happened to Georgia, but
now you're regressing back to me and I don't like
to see it.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
And you need to be pint penalized. Thanks taking the call.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
All right, Sure there he is right and not messing around.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
I don't know if you spin at me, I might spin.
I don't know how I might not. Maybe I don't
know how.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Around, But you gotta admit he walked up to Dak.
It was just different. I don't know. I don't know
the link of spit like I don't know if it's
too but I'm gonna tell you walked up to him.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
All right, we got Lamar Mitchell getting ready. That's how
you know football is back. We got Lamar Mitchell coming
up at MGM Director of Trade. Will do that in
a minute, right now, Steve Saga is gonna get you
sett on trending.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Hey, Steve, be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at
seven pm Eastern, four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Steve. Hey, Steve, have a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Thank you so much as the couple Robin Kelvin on
a funky flashback Friday. And of course you know football's back,
so we got to bring our guy back. It's time
now for Lamar Mitchell bet MGM director of Trading.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
You know how we do it every week during the
football season. What's up to, Mark? How are you.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
Ready for the season to start? Looking forward to us?
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Right, no doubt about it. Let's get it kicked off.
I've been saying this since yesterday. The Packers minus two
over Detroit is my stone cold lock of the week.
The Lions have two new coordinators. Half of the offensive
line is new. Green Bay just added Michael Parsons and
the Lions were won every game on the road last year.
(21:48):
What kind of action are you seeing for this game?
I know the betters agree with me on this. When
the Lions are due to lose on the road, you know.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
What, Rob, you be wrong there? Wow, the public is
on the Lions at about a two to one clip.
They're crazy all on the lines. But the sharps definitely
have been on the Packers. Okay, so we're taking pretty
right now at this number. Let me double check this
number before.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
You get I feel better. The sharps know what I'm
talking about. Lines were eight to zero on the road
last year. It's just a matter of time and this
is going to be the game.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
One and a half up to two. But the public
is definitely all on the lines in this situation right here,
all right, let me go here.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
Then, last I checked the board this morning, the forty
nine ers were holding strong at two and a half
point row favorites in Seattle. And that's a little surprising
to me, because, Lamar, you got Christian McCaffery who just
popped up on the injury report with that calf issue.
So I mean, do running backs do they not change
the line at all like this. I mean, he's one
of the best players in the league when he's healthy.
And do you expect maybe we'll see some late money
(22:56):
on the Seahawks in the spot.
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Yeah? Absolutely, because right now we got the Niners minus one,
and just like you said, Kelvin, somebody like McCaffrey, he
definitely moves the needle here. And that's why, you know,
the public has been excuse me, the shots have been
on the sea Ops plus two and a half and
that's why we're at one right now.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
All right, I know it's the Browns, but I read
today that Cincinnati is one in five outright on opening
day in the Zach Taylor era for that coach there,
and they are one of the worst September teams in
NFL this decade period. So what kind of action are
you seeing on Cleveland plus five and a half in
this spot?
Speaker 6 (23:38):
You know what, this is definitely Joe's and Pro's game.
I mean, the Pros on this five and a half
up to six and a half, up to five and
a half, and the public is all on the Bengals here.
We're not seeing really any buyback on the Browns. I mean,
it's definitely an eath, the Browns and Joe Flacco got
(23:59):
to get up and be ready to play.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
All right, let's go here, Lamar Mitchell of course, bet MGM,
director of Trading all with the odd couple Robin Kevin
on a funky flashback Friday. All right, so this morning
you had ninety two percent of the money in the
Broncos Titan. He's on Denver eight and a half favorites. There,
when you get action that is lopsided like this towards
one team, why wouldn't the oddsmakers push the number to
(24:21):
nine maybe nine and a half. Is this the case
where it's all Joe money? So you're not that worried
about it?
Speaker 6 (24:28):
No, Unfortunately, unfortunately, this is probably gonna be one of
our biggest decisions if we look at it right now,
because the chows are on this game, the shots in
this game. Nobody's given cam Ward and these Titans a
shot at all.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I like him a little bit, Lamar now, But isn't
it But isn't like the rookie quarterback. They never win
their first start, Like like, I think they're winless, right,
aren't they like winless?
Speaker 6 (24:54):
Yeah? You might be on a something there, I mean
it's just, you know, everyone's looking at the Bronco defense
and how they played last year versus this rookie quarterback.
This is one of my This is one of my
picks I like to give away. This is a ticket
count game where it's more than five to one ticket
counts in favor of one side, and when we see that,
(25:15):
we usually see the other side come through on the
points bread. So we'll see what happens. But everyone Sharps
and Joe's are definitely on the Broncos money and ticket
trends out.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
How bad are the Raiders? Because the Patriots are two
and a half point home favorites this week against the Raiders,
and that's notable because it's the first time in seventeen
weeks that New England isn't an underdog. So what are
the Sharps saying about this game?
Speaker 6 (25:42):
You know what, It's been a very limited action on
this game. I mean the Sharps didn't lay it at
two and a half and then they bought it back
at three, and like you said, we're sitting there right
now at two and a half. But the public definitely
split fifty to fifty on this game. Here, they're they're
you know, they're not sold on the Patriots and they're
(26:03):
not sold on the Raiders, so we see good split
from the public. But the Sharps, they definitely laid that
money up until two and a half and took back
to three.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
All right, Lamar, let's go to the NFC East.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Rob and I we both call Rob G crazy when
he said that he had the Giants then they would
end up winning the NFC East this year, So very surprise.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
I also picked the Jets last year. I just want
you to yeah, well, double listening. He don't know what
he'd be doing.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
We know that, but very surprised, Lamar to see that
today most of the betters are on the Giants plus
six against the Commanders. Are the pros and the Joe's
both in lockstep on this one. Maybe people feeling good
about the Giants.
Speaker 6 (26:37):
I will tell you that the Joes are on the Commanders.
And you know how shiny they looked at the end
of the season in the playoffs, So the Joes are
definitely on the Commanders. But the sharp money all NYG, Baby, Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Can see that. Yeah, I can't see that as well.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
And a half might be on something there.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Oh you know, how I am. I'm taking a look
at that, all right, Lamar.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
I read today that Lamar Jackson has the best win
and cover percentage as an underdog in Super Bowl era.
In the Super Bowl era, I'm assuming that that's a
big reason why the line shifted from the Ravens plus
one and a half all the way to minus one
on the road at Buffalo. Are the Pros and Joe's
both on Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
On this one.
Speaker 6 (27:25):
This is extrectly a number that's moved by the Sharps.
They are definitely on the Ravens at plus one, and
that's what we're sitting right now, the Ravens minus one
since you said it moved around right. The Sharks are
definitely on the Ravens. The Jones they're split fifty fifty
on this game as well, too. Money is about even
(27:45):
on this game too as well. So we'll see what
happens because it is the feature game Sunday night, so
we can't wait for this game to happen, all.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Right again, la Lamar Mitchell on with us right now,
bet MGM, director of Trading. All right, so let's go
to this one here. This will be the last one
every day and everybody. They're talking about the quarterbacks and
the Jets and the Steelers. Right, you got kind of
the swapping of the quarterback. You got him there, you
got him there, and you got Aaron Rodgers facing former
team Justin Fields there. Now, I know this is a
sexy storyline, everybody's gonna want to talk about it. But
(28:14):
these teams hit their hats on defense. That's how they're built.
Another total is only at thirty eight and a half,
but I imagine the better is a pounding they're under right
now because Justin Fields didn't look great in the offseason.
There's a lot of stuff coming out of the Jets camp.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Oh yeah, absolutely right, tell them the starts a pounded
this total under, and the money on this is about
ten to one from the Jells. The Jeels a pounded
this total under week one. Defense ahead of the offense
here in both of these cases where you see a
Steeler team that's known for defense and the Jets team,
(28:47):
I'm not sure that to be able to move the
ball and score some points, but definitely Sharps and the
public are definitely on the under one.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
This all right, Yeah, that's the offense is gonna be
interesting to see with both one like the Steelers in neck.
Did you have the Steelers in the Super Bowl? No,
I thought that.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Might be the Ravens in the superhol right, Lamar, Man,
we appreciate it. We are, yes, and we'll be looking
forward to you every week, my man.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Thank you, Lamar. I know I said it last year. Dagit,
me and the wife gonna dish these kids and get
out to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Man, look and.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
Looking forward to it every week. Guy.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
And yeah, Lamar, do you know who won last year?
Speaker 6 (29:23):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Yeah, that was me by one game.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
It took all the way to the Super Bowl, one
of the two biggest games of the year.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Lamar, I said Vegas, I said, Lamar, I said the
Lions wouldn't get to the Super Bowl, and I said
the Chiefs wouldn't win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
I was right on the Alex. You know what makes
it even better. Thank you that I know.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
As much as I was upset I lost that he
was so mad about Texas tower trivia yesterday.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
No, I'm not, Lamar.
Speaker 4 (29:53):

All right, Well, I appreciate you guys taking here.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Thank you, David.
Speaker 11 (31:47):
Give me some time. The one thing I wanted to
say was what every fightings forgetting and not even mentioning,
is that was an assault and it's actually classified as
a assault and battery. It's a simple assault.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Is it really? Is that on the books? Hot spitting
on somebody? That would make sense? I can get it.
You put something on somebody.
Speaker 11 (32:09):
Yeah, it's uh, basically like laying your hands on them.
You know it's mack him in the head or spitting
his face or.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
You know, it's basically say a thing.
Speaker 11 (32:20):
They just call it simple assault and you can't go
to jail for it.
Speaker 15 (32:23):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
That's good, David, Thank you so much. Who knew?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
I didn't know that? You know, I think most people
and we talked about it before. You'd rather somebody slap
you didn't do that, okay, am I right.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Don't spit on me? Don't spit on me beef in
the streets.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
If you do that, all right, first one of the season,
that's time for NFL pig Skin Pickoff.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
You ready to retire the odd couple. It's gonna make
you rich gambling. It's their pig skin pickoff.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
It is the NFL pig Skin pick Off, the Odd
Cup for Robin Calvin Thick and NFL games against the spread.
And as you guys mentioned, Rob Parker coming off of
season long victory in twenty twenty four, beat Calvin by
one game.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
One game, Rob, it takes one to win.
Speaker 15 (33:17):
All you need is won. And Rob, do you know me?
In week one of the NFL season, I'm gold, Rob.
Remember this almost matters in two things. Horseshoes and hand grenades,
that's why. And pregnancies. Oh wow, look at my face? Whatever? Yeah, yeah,
let's go.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
All right, guys, I got five NFL games at five
all these odds courtesy of Lamar Mitchell bed mjmsen to
me this morning, we're gonna pick these games against the
spread winner every week winter at the end of the
season will hold the championship belt.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
So let's get to it.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
Game number one, the Quarterback Bowl Stealers three point road
favorites on the road against the Jetropolitans.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Rob Parker, this is a layup.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
I'm taking the Steelers minus three and a half on
the road. I'm sorry, I'm just not buying into Justin Fields.
He has a fumble and two picks. Steelers win easily.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Steelers win. I agree with that, but I don't agree
with the fumbling two picks. But no, the Steelers win
and the Toilet Bowl do they cover the spread?
Speaker 2 (34:26):
The cover toilet game?
Speaker 5 (34:28):
And number two on the pigskin pickoff the Cincinnati Bengals,
who notoriously suck on opening Day and are even worse
during the month of September.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Yeah, what is that?
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Our five and a half point road favorites in Cleveland
to take on Shader Sanders and the Browns.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
Though she is not playing, he still gets stopped building Calvin,
who do you like? Believe it or not? This one
is tougher than you think.
Speaker 6 (34:50):
It is.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Not so much the Brown's the greatest. That how bad
the Bengals defense is. But I think they try to
right the ship because they know they keep having these
slow starts. Give me the Bengals, but I'm not happy
about that because that defense is trash.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
I think they finally turn it around. I don't expect
much from the Browns. I think they win by a touchdown.
They covered the five and a half. I like the
Bengals in this game. I mean, they know what they've
been up against and this is just one of those games.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
The Browns are good, but not quick. But if you
told me you do, We're starting out at the Browns.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
I can't believe Rob's going against his classmate Joe Flacco.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Wow, I ain't gonna lot of agism is crazy today.
I know crazy angeist all right?
Speaker 16 (35:34):
Game number three the big This game is wild because
the line is holding pretty firm at Niners minus two
and a half on the road against Seattle, because Christian
McCaffrey at this point is questionable and trending towards doubtful
with the calf injury.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
Even still Niners two and a half point road. Famous
Tron Parker, I love the Seahawks in this game. You
don't you know who their quarterback is?
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:57):
But I know who the forty nine ers quarterback is
without there start running back sam Ronald McDonald said, I'm
going with Seattle getting two and a half at home?
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Are you kidding me? All day?
Speaker 4 (36:07):
This is where we finally part ways. Brother, give me
the forty nine ers. Brock Party plays pretty good. It
gets the dubs. Don't see two dudes about that? Rob
You just kind of trailed off there at the end.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
No, no, no, I was just gonna say, he just
gonna pick all the favorites chrism.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Sorry, he's the man retired stopping. You gotta nervous every time,
all right?
Speaker 5 (36:26):
Game number four, we know all this one's going the
Detroit Lions on the road to take on Micah Parsons
in the back Packers two point home favorites Kelvin Washington.
Speaker 4 (36:36):
Oh, you're going with the favorite? Huh huh? You going
with the favorite?
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Hun?
Speaker 2 (36:42):
You know them Lions one again? You know them Lions
one again. All they do is win? How to hear
that song? After the playoff game?
Speaker 4 (36:51):
The first player you got beating the head over with
fifteen out of seventeen times, that's what you did.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Boo boo boom you got Wow, bab I got the
Packers minus. You didn't pick the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
No Packers minus two. They win comfortably by seven so
you know four.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
Out of your three out of your four picks have
been favors too as once you know that.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
The last ones.
Speaker 5 (37:16):
But I took Seattle three, the Marquee matchup, the one
everyone's talking about the last two m vps going had
to had Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Ravens one point road
favorite in Buffalo, Rob Parker, I'm.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Taking the Ravens. This is a pick them basically minus one.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 1 (37:35):
And remember the Ravens should have tied that game, Mark
Andrews with the botched uh play in the end zone. Whatever,
I'm gonna go with the Ravens there because they started
off what were they owing.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
To last year?
Speaker 1 (37:49):
And we had no worry and they I know, and
they still wound up rolling.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
But I'm gonna go with them winning the game in.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
This One's tough for me. I'm not gonna lie, but
I'm gonna go with the Ravens. But this this is
why itsed to pick him. You can go anywhere, give
me to give me the Ravens. Give me the Ravens.
So we were different on two of them.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
You picked all road teams, Kelvin, I did you know,
ain't gonna work, okay.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
I'll talk to y'all on Monday, Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
You're here from Sunday during the games, I'll talk to
you then. The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is
coming up next.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
I never miss your radio show.
Speaker 10 (38:23):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Did you hear that when Sandwich Night
