That's right.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Who can't get the numbers and letters to match up
and all that? And if you hear feedback on the line,
it's all your fault.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It means just one thing.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
You forgot to turn down the radio.
Speaker 3 (02:02):

Speaker 3 (02:23):
He is Colevinant Washington.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
So I changed everything, Rob, I changed is Tigers Dodgers
World Series. I don't remember who drugged me the day
when you asked for our world series predictions. So that's
what I said. I got hometown versus current hometown.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
It's gonna be great always.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
I he is such a homer, My gods.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
That's high home for two thirds of the season was
the Tiger where the Tigers not one of the best
teams in baseball.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Okay, I didn't ask about.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Last about I don't know about two thirds, but okay,
half for.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Th seasons, I didn't ask you about that last third
of that last half.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
But they get through.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
They had not scored five or more runs in the
previous nineteen games. Their offense two for twenty with runners
in scoring position, just anemic, like really really bad.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
And they even struggling. You're right, and they were able
to get that done. But I think it was five
for twelve with runners in scoring position.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
So they finally broke through.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
They're going on to the next round or go to
Seattle and take on the Mariners.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Of course, we'll host that.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
An Alds series, and then we're waiting tonight. The Cubs
currently are leading to nothing in the sixth inning, Padres.
They need a miracle to come back and win this
game and series to move on. And then later on
tonight you got the Yankees that's starting.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
And webs Yankee.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
That's right in about fifty five minutes out of baseball.
A lot of stuff to get to. But uh, I
would say, let's welcome in the odd couple cu coods.
You wouldn't be able to do this fine radio program
without him. Rob g is our producer, Alex is our engineer,
(04:20):
and I just showed.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
He did the update.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
I remember, was it Monty? I'm so sorry. Man is
at the anchor. And of course Elijah is Elijah is
our social media.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
He's not here today like that. Oh wow, on YouTube?
We're on YouTube, Yes, not today, not today.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I keep saying you look, you look cute though anyway,
you know you got your haircut and got you finally, Yeah,
look at you.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I'm ready to go.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Man.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Let me tell you when I get on campus, I'm
gonna be a I'm gonna be I'm gonna be a
trouble maker.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And you know what, it might be some teachers there
who was the is there? If you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (05:03):
Oh my gosh, Bobby, is that you? That's so funny.
I remember being in high school with my cousin. Yvonne
called me in the hallway and she's calling me Bobby Bobby,
you know, and I'm with my friends or whatever, and
they look at me because I you know, I respond
and they're like, who is.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
She talking to? I said me, that's my cousin.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Oh, Bobby was because they never called me that. So
it's funny. But anyway, for people don't know, I am
in New York and it's starting to sink in now,
like now that I'm here. Took the red eye last
night and I'm driving up to New Haven, Connecticut, and
real quick, the alma matera on Saturday will name the
(05:47):
football press box the main press box on campus after
me and I have about one hundred family and friends
coming through, and I think I mentioned Chris Boussard is
driving up from New Jersey's gonna be there, and just
a lot of family friends. All of three of my
god children are coming, which is really big for me,
(06:08):
you know, to be able to get all of them
together in one place. Yes, it never happened, so that'll
be awesome. And of course we'll talk more about that.
I'll be off tomorrow. There's a big alumni dinner and everything.
But Monday, when I get back, we're gonna have a
party of our own at Fox Sports Radio. Looking forward
to that cateredfood, some shampipo, the whole nine yards.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
So we bite and we eat some cheesecake. Then get
me back.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Yes, we're doing all that, so it's all good. All right,
I'm looking forward to it. So we'll do that. But uh,
business fluctuations, let me tell you make running a manufacturing
business complex. But staffing your business doesn't have to be.
Let Express Employment Professionals provide the work force that you need.
Go to expresspros dot com to find a location near you.
(06:54):
That's expresspros dot com.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Rob g.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Up was Kelcey and I don't have a lot in common.
You know, I've dated some really beautiful women. I'm sorry
you got some. Hey, you got some celebs. Hey, I
ain't up put them out there. My man, Big Bobby got.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
You know, you know, just a little bit of my heyday.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
Don't let this gray fool you in that tell you
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
I seen it firsthand.
Speaker 6 (07:22):
It was wild, right, come on, Rob in Miami, just
young thirty year old women.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Stop it do Sorry? All right, well, rob G, Travis
Kelcey had a message. We want to hear that.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Yeah he did, And you guys know, this big talking
point coming out of Sunday's game, and it's been bleeding
in all through the rest of the week. Is gonna
bleed it to the next Sunday's game. AJ Brown is
not happy with his role in Egles offense. He put
that passive aggressive social media post, which he said was
not directed to anybody in particular, but as a result,
he's been asked about it. Nick Sirianni's been asked about it.
Jalen Hurts has been asked about it, And up until now,
(07:56):
we hadn't really heard anybody that either wasn't a few
it with the Eagles or was like a former retired
player asn't chime in on that kind of stuff because
historically you don't really see current players talk about other teams, and.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
They try not choose, they try not to.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
The problem is when you got a podcast like Travis
Kelsey and this is one of the biggest stories of
the week, you got no choice put the weigh in
on it. And let's just say Travis is not a
fan of what AJ Brown's currently doing.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
They listen, You're four no boss.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
Come on, man, It's frustrating for AJ right now. Clearly
because he's going to social media to let everybody know
how frustrated he is. And where I showed my frustration
is is when we're not rolling as an offense. And
I think I think it's frustration, it's the desire to
get it fixed.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
It's also really hard.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
For me to get mad when when we're winning, I think,
I don't I don't find that energy or that that
feeling in me. If we're winning, if we're having success,
if we're putting up points, of course, we're winning football games.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
And I'm gonna say this, I one hundred percent agree
with Travis Kelce Kelvin. You could be frustrated, you want
to produce more your talented receiver. But there's a time
and the place you talk about that all the time.
There's a time and a place to have that conversation.
Everything doesn't have to go public, no cryptic messages. Go in,
(09:25):
have a meeting with Jalen Hurts and the offensive coordinator
and Nick Sirianni, right, and just have how can I
What am I not doing? Am I not getting open?
Do I need to run crisp or routes? What am
I not doing? Why aren't we Why don't we have
a connection, you know what I mean, Like like there's
a conversation to be had.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
But when you do this, especially and.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Travis Kelcey made the point, when you're winning, if you're losing,
Kelvin right, and and the offense is sputtering.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Yes we're not we're not winning, but I'm not contributing.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
I'm a big time player. I want to get involved.
We need to get this thing going in the right direction.
They're still winning and you sound like a malcontent. You
sound like the only thing that matters to you are
your numbers, and you don't want to be that guy.
There's a time and a place. Most of the time
(10:26):
it should be in private. Every once in a while,
sure could you pop off and you know you're so
frustrated and a reporter asked your question, Kelvin, and it
triggers you when you say something you probably wish you
didn't say. Okay, that could happen, But to go to
social media, you need to take your time and think
about it in order to type that out.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Do you know what I like?
Speaker 4 (10:47):
You?
Speaker 3 (10:48):
This is not like a.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Guy asked your question and you and and it kind
of just got away from you. When you realize after
you said, oh, I shouldn't have said it like that.
That that sounds selfish. He comes off as a selfish
guy who doesn't care about winning. And I think Travis
Kelce to me is spot on.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I got a couple things for Aj Brown. First and foremost,
you know what I was thinking about. This isn't just
a frustration geared towards Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianna and the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
This is also gear two, Rob, This is also geared
towards Tannehill and the Titans. And I think what we're
seeing is an overall frustration from AJ Brown. I think
what he is feeling is I was supposed to be
this top notch Hall of Fame tra directory, receiver, stats, glory, awards, glore,
(11:42):
and I think he's realizing, you know, as of now
he won't individually be that per se. But let me
break a couple things down. Number one, what I don't like, Rob,
I don't like when people throw the rocks, throw the
stones and hide your hand. Don't think, oh, it wasn't
geared towards till nobody in particular.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
I'm not a book for the team. I just wanted
to get some peace of my life.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Like, dude, you keep having antis after ANTIQ after antiqs,
you're reading books, You're calling out Jalen Hurts last season,
you're talking about them this season. Offense can be more
explosive after the game where you had your best game,
then you're putting out crypto tweaks.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
And Davonte Smith.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Was another receiver who won a Heisman, by the way,
who's probably sitting there like, uh, you don't think I
want some more receptions too? You don't think I want
more target suit? You know who we don't hear much
from not saying he doesn't, hasn't said anything, but we
know we don't hear much from Davonte Smith, who has
been a heck of a receiver in college, has been
obviously a speecher and a really good receiver of pros.
(12:38):
But he knows, Hey, we're winning, I'm going out doing
my job. This is what I think AJ Brown needs
to realize. I'm gonna give you a trajectory who he
could be if he owns the position he's in. Michael Irvin.
What I mean by that is Michael Irvin. If you
just simply look at his stats, they're good, They're good,
(12:59):
But what he meant to that team the big plays
he made when his team was needed. Some games they
ran the ball more with Emmitt Smith, some games they
looked at other you know, looked the other way.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
And some games it was the defense.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
Smith was bigger than anybody on that team exactly.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
But Mike Irvin made big catches, made big plays, and
was a part of a three time championship team. A J.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Brown, you can be Michael Irvin.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
I know your stats aren't gonna be Jerry Rice, Randy Moss,
Calvin Johnson, like I'm sure you feel your that type
of talent. You're not that good, but I'm sure you
feel that way. And I just believe if he just
locks in, stays focused, have communication with Nick Sirianni and
offensive coordinator privately, have communication with Jalen Hurts privately, figure
the thing out, because I will admit Rob I don't
(13:46):
like their offense right now in the sense of just
if we're just singularly talking about their offense points per game,
they are seventh and twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
But after that he goes downhill.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Total offense yards per game thirtieth, passing yards per game
thirty first, one hundred and thirty eight. That's terrible when
you're just looking at it on the surface. Rushing yards
per game, middle of the pack exactly at sixteenth.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
So they are struggling, and.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
I do think he knows I'm a part of the
you know that can get us going. When I'm explosive,
when I'm making big players, we're better. I No one
disagrees with that, but it's how you go about it.
Because my last point, Rob, you know what, if the
offense is struggling and they haven't found the rhythm and
they're not quite clicking, you know what doesn't help. Friction, distractions, annoyances, grievances.
(14:33):
So the last thing they need while they're trying to get.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
This thing Roland is always having to ask questions.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
This guy that look like this guy offensive line might
be mad at him. Now they don't want to block
the same a just little small chinks in the armor
that can hurt the team. So lock in aj Brown,
focus and be the Michael Irving to this team and
maybe they'll throw the ball more or maybe.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
They'll get the offensive rolling.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
But you can look up and have three Super Bowl
rings at the end of this thing and still be
a projected Hall of Famer.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
You get what I mean, Rob, Absolutely. I just think
there's a time and a place. And I'm not saying
you can't be frustrated, but man, you you won eighteen
in a row in a Super Bowl and it's just
like that. Go to the coaches, go to everybody and
have that conversation.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Don't do it publicly, all right.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
I mean I weren't talking about nobody. I would just
stop it, right. I'd rather you just own it. I'd
rather you look at the camera and be like, yo,
give me the dang ball.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
I say that eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Is Travis Kelce right about AJ Brown? Should Aj focus
more on the winds than his stats? We'll continue that

the day coming up in just a little bit. But
right now, Robin and I talking about Travis Kelsey has
something to say to aj Brown similar to the same
thoughts that Robin I've had over the last week or so,
h eight seven seven not not on Fox?
Speaker 4 (18:00):
What do you have to say? Who we got?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
And it looks like the Cubs are gonna put this away.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
They're up three nothing, man on second, nobody out in
the bottom of the seventh, so time is running.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Hold on, it's still you know it spaceball? Okay, the
Tigers got what they get like six and the seventh
or something.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yeah, you're right, okay.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
One of the biggest Eagles fans going Scott in North Carolina.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Scott?
Speaker 9 (18:27):
Definitely one of the biggest fans.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I know that I know that are you kidding?
Speaker 4 (18:33):
But what a J. Brown plays with? The Eagles were forty.
Speaker 10 (18:36):
Ten, So we should not trade them.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
I've seen the video.
Speaker 9 (18:39):
You say, trade him or cut them.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
That is crazy.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Trade them if he doesn't want to be there, if
he doesn't want to win.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
I'm serious.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
Come on, man, you can't win eighteen straight games and
win a Super Bowl and you're complaining about about your status.
Speaker 10 (18:54):
Come on, problems. We do have problems in our office, okay.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
But that doesn't mean that you go pub Scott. You
don't go public with that. Come on, man, it could
be better.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
Than you know.
Speaker 10 (19:04):
I mean, Daylor hurts with public as well. After the
end of the game versus the Rams, he said that
was unacceptable that that half they played. I mean, this
is a no thing throughout the team, man, this is
no thing throughout.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
The sports has a short menu, Scott, what is it?
Tell me what it is?
Speaker 10 (19:22):
The losses?
Speaker 3 (19:22):
There you go, there, you go. Nothing else matter?
Speaker 10 (19:26):
Question, though, how do you think about the Sillies this playoff?
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Further?
Speaker 10 (19:28):
I appreciate you taking my thoughts.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I think they could beat the Dodgers in the next round.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
He's something wrong with my headphones?
Speaker 5 (19:34):
Alex Hello, Hello, Yeah, right now, you're all about the
Dodgers and Tigers.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Nothing else can go. You're in heaven now. Now you're
in heaven right.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
If that happens, I'm telling you now.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
To get that all right, Tim Chili? Tim in Atlanta,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
What's up? Tim Chilli?
Speaker 9 (19:58):
Hey, what's up?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
How you doing?
Speaker 4 (20:00):
What's up? Great?
Speaker 3 (20:01):
How are you?
Speaker 9 (20:02):
I'm good man, getting ready to head out to Denver tomorrow.
My oldest boys getting married.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Just we can congratulations puzzles.
Speaker 9 (20:10):
And get to perform the sertonony. So that's teasing a
bigger thing.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
So don't watch it as well.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, he's gonna be up there setting them.
Speaker 9 (20:19):
Tears, you know, you.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
Know, I know it, brother, he should be there should
be tears of joy because her family had to pay
for the way.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
You hope everybody's got that Chilia tail money. He might
have to do it.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Kelvin's like, don't don't bring it up. I got three daughters,
a lot, I'm screwed.
Speaker 9 (20:41):
Yeah, I don't know what you're gonna do. Tell you
might want to get out there and you know, show
some bean.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
It mean it's necessary, But with a J Brown, you know,
I kind of get it because you know, I don't
think he would be a number one receiver.
Speaker 9 (20:56):
If he did that, that type of attitude and wanting
to ball to think about guys, tryl Orange and other players.
You know, I don't think everybody's gonna be a mic
guy wearing. But I think a couple of things. I
think he looks around the league and he looks at
Justin Jeffersons and Mark Changing these other guys, and he's like,
man to what you said him, Like why am I
not on that? All right? But I will say this too.
(21:19):
Maybe he's looking at down the road and you know,
and he's saying, this can't be sustainable what we're doing
because Dallas, you know, could have been this uh you
know at the Rams beat him. Yeah, and the Chief
if if Japans Keilchas not dropped that pass but the
begin jump, that could have been a loss. So maybe
he's looking at you, say, guys, we have.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Been getting by, but they won eighteen in a row.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
Come on, Chili, Tim not you could we could play
that game all day.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
If the forty nine ers h dB SEQUARSK guitar didn't
drop that interception from Matthew Stafford, they wouldn't have won
the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
We could go on and on and on. I don't
want to hear that.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
Eighteen and oh's eighteen and know and a super Bowl
and chilling selfish.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Chi's not even chili wear, are you?
Speaker 3 (22:05):
It's selfish? It's not selfish?
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Hey, don yell right, he got a wedding officiating in
a couple days. Okay, right now, don't get them all
blood pressure up and all that.
Speaker 9 (22:12):
Right now, I won't get my oil. I'm gonna get
my oil and throw it on around.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
I got that holly on you for you boy. I
used to go to school with that on my forehead.
Chili mama used to do that. But look, I'll just
say this, it's not that what he's what he's implying.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
I get it. The offense is un suspending.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I gave you the stats right now, the thirty first
and passing the sixteenth and rushing thirtieth.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
And yards of game.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
I ain't win out there there, four and oh, But
it's just keep it behind closed doors.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
That's my only that's my only point. Chili who nicks?
Speaker 3 (22:44):
All right?
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Break anyway?
Speaker 1 (22:45):
All right, appreciate you Chili as always, all right, on
the way again. We gotta get you updated all the
things that are happening in baseball. Some more conversations that
we had about the Dodgers in their bullpen.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
But right now is gonna get your set.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk line up

Speaker 4 (23:09):
But Rob, we got one game.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
One series we don't have to worry about is the
Dodgers and the Reds. Dodgers took care of business last night.
Yoshi Yobu Yamamoto was great. Gazinta. I know you're I
know you trust me. I ain't gonna lie when he
got there show, Hey, I was, I had to brush
up on. I was like, oh make sure yo yo
Yoshi Noba Yamamoto.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
No, I know, you gotta get it right. And that's
it part of being a sportscaster today. I talk about
all the time at USC like these poor kids with
some of the names Kelvin, Oh my god, there's nothing
like the old days, right, John Smith right and all that,
like like those days are long gone.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yeah you got you got Taekwon Thornton. Boy, I tell
you twaikwan in them. But I brought up the Dodgers because, man,
you know, if you've been covering baseball since eighteen eighty
six and nineteen eighty my ba, my bad, my bad.
The bullpen for the Dodgers. You talk about somebody going
into a game, Rob g a Dodger fan watching his team,
(24:11):
and he's got the nice, slick black hair, and at
the end of the game it's all great. The Dodger's
bullpen is going to have you shook it. It's going
to have you worried. They did it again last night.
We saw what they did in Game one. I mean,
lew and I were having this conversation. Last year, can
they win despite so many injuries and setback to their starters?
Speaker 4 (24:32):
The bullpen was great. Now this year, you're worried.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
If I give him a three run lead, am I
still gonna come out losing this thing?
Speaker 4 (24:38):
So? I mean, have you seen anything like this? Word?
Speaker 1 (24:41):
You can get a four or five run lead and
then still be nervous seventh inning on.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Right, Because I get to Texas from all my friends
who live in LA who are Dodger fans in LA.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Dude, can I can.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
I I can't relax one game, you know what I mean,
Like they screw all these runs and you're still like
this game isn't put away yet.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
And the bullpen is a problem right now.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
It's one of the glaring issues on why it's hard
to pick the Dodgers to think they're gonna make it through.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Now.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
Last year they didn't have starting pitching and for some
reason it all worked out and then guys came through
for them, and the bullpen worked out, you know, as
piece meal. But I don't know if you're gonna play
that act twice. You know, like that worked last year,
you got by with it, are you gonna do it again?
It is the weak spot as we look at the Dodgers,
(25:27):
and I always say the Yankees wouldn't have won all
those World Series without Mariano Rivera.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
You know, you know, like you gotta.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
Be able to get baseball, getting those last three outs
to win a championship. They're hard, and a lot of
teams have given it up at the end, right because
because because they don't have a guy who can get
those outs.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
It's a lot of pressure.
Speaker 5 (25:47):
And right now, that's that's clearly the Dodgers' weak spot.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
The thing that makes you where you're optimistic while I
have them winning it on is not just because obviously affiliation.
It really is because a couple I'm gonna read a
couple things. When you look at runs, they ended up
being second eight hundred and twenty five. You look at
batting average, they were six. You're looking on base percent
it's fifth second and slugging percentage point being they can
still manufactured runs, and when it happens, they explode. I mean,
(26:13):
you get got like you get two from taoskar Hernandez
in the same game too and runs you out to
get two from show Hey.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
And the key thing is gonna be interesting moving forward.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Rop A lot of teams are going to be like,
all right, we're gonna just pitch around Show Hey. We're gonna,
you know, give him a couple. Then maybe if we
walk and we walk in, maybe it's not giving him
a couple.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
I'm not pitching to him, akay. So that's my that's
my strategy. And I'm gonna let Mookie beat me. I'm
gonna let Freddie beat me. I'm not going to give
show Hey. I'm just and and and the idea is, well,
nobody's on base, so we'll just throw them a fast ball.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
No, no, I'm not doing that. I'm just not.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
I'm not going to give him a chance of getting
the Dodgers off to a fast start.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
And that's what red happen.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
And the Reds tried a couple Mookie goes.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I think he's five hits into two games, had what
three or four doubles. I mean, he played very well.
And that's what makes him scary. Is Mookie talked about
he said, he said what you said. He said, I
would too, I'd pitch around him. I you know, maybe
intention walking, he said, But I have to be ready
for when that happens so that I can produce.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
So that's what makes I.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
Remember in Detroit when when Jim Leland was the manager
of the Tigers and they played the Cardinals in the
World Series. You remember and and he said before the
series started. I remember, and he said, I'm not going
to let Albert pool Hols beat us. I'll never forget
it because we were in his office and this is
before the game and the first inning was a man
(27:42):
on second in two outs, and first base was open
with two outs, So what do you do? You know,
you could walk Albert pool Hols and pitch the next guy.
So he pitches the Albert pool Hools and guess what,
hits a two run home run. And that was a series.
I mean, it never really you know what I mean.
It was just amazing. And I think that's what showhy like,
(28:04):
like let somebody else do it. I'm not going to
allow you. I'm gonna pitch around you, and if you
get a hit, you're gonna have to hit a bad ball,
you know what I mean, You're gonna have to hit
a bad ball.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, and another thing in their favor to could be
a little bit longer, but we'll see. Will Smith kind
of having him in the back pocket, you know, like
all right, he's been out obviously, you know he had
that fracture in his hand.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
But I think that they're hoping and wishing.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
I don't know what that fracture, you know what I mean,
Like like that's.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
You play as if he's never coming back. But I'm saying,
you know, if.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
No, I know, But I'm just saying I think that
that's wishful thinking. If he comes back that quickly from
a fracture, wow, and can't contribute that's all I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
No, I get it, I get it, but that I
think that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
And again, look, if you're the Dodgers, you don't fully
get too excited because again this was the Red who
really didn't have a shot. And I mean they're off,
they have no real offense. I mean I mentioned it yesterday.
They only had a couple of guys with twenty home
runs or more. The Dodgers have like six guys or
twenty more. And I've read you off the offensive numbers. Yeah, man,
So you go into this now with the Phillies, that's
(29:11):
a whole different ball game, whole different ball team and.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
H and the Phillies had the second best you know,
seting in the National League. Of course, Milwaukee was number one.
That's why the Dodgers played in the wild card. Even
though they won the division, they had the worst record
out of those three teams. And that's why they headed
to Philadelphia. Right, they're gonna play Phillies have the advantage.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah, so that'll be a good series obviously. So we
had some more good baseball, man, and we'll keep you
updated as well in a couple of games that will
be happening throughout the remainder.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
And Kelvin just as last thing, Yeah, Philly in Vegas
his favorites to win the World Series. That's the team
I know they had, Not Milwaukee, not the Dodgers, not
the Yankees.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
It's it's Philadelphia.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Yeah. They obviously they've had a really good season.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
What were they They would shoot thirty games above five
hundred my goodness, so, uh ninety.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Six and sixty six for them.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
So yeah, we'll get you updated on some other games
throughout the rest of our show, looking forward to that.
On the way, we have Shekel City, see how Rob
did there, and also Play of the Day and if
we've got Thursday night football to get you ready for

to coach for you.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
On this TV theme song Thursday.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
By the way, we'll talk about at some point. I
saw your tribute video. You're trying to make people share
the tears out here in the street.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
You know what they did at the local news station
Channel Light WTNH in Connecticut. I'm gonna post it on
social media if you get a chance to take a
look at it. John Pearson is a sportscaster and I
interned at the school at the station there, Channel Late,
the ABC affiliate, and they're ready for this. Two of
the sportscasters who were there when I interned will be at.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
The event on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Is that on what?
Speaker 5 (31:43):
POPA Cozy and Skip Church are both going to be there.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
So check that out on Rob's socials when he posts that.
And now it is time for Shechel City.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Welcome to Shekel City, the whole base for Rob Parkers,
Dalley Dicks against the scrap.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
I have to do all right, I was want to
oh last night just had the Dodgers winning. Want to know,
twenty eight and twenty nine not bad? Okay, Alex already
knows that. Today I had the Cleveland Guardians plus one
and a half. Oh, yes, that did not happen to
Tigers have advanced, so we already got that one wrong.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
I hit today minus one and a half. That's not
looking good. With the Cubs up three nothing at the.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
Bottom of the eighth and the Yankees minus one and
a half, that game is going to start momentarily in
the Bronx. So again, uh, the Yankees minus one and
a half, Fadres minus one and a half in Cleveland
plus one and a half. And remember Kelvin, Yeah, I'm
not telling you who to bet on. I'm telling you
why better.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
You never know?
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Still early with your Padres, I know that's your World
Series pick. As always, I told you at this point
you might have be the mayor San Diego as many
times as you picked them in the Yankees.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
All right, it stop for your tire. Rob picked them
every year for the last I know.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
One high fly ball less center field, d kwon back looking.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Up gone, Dylan Dangler.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Tigers take a two to one lay of the sixth.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Big play there, Tigers, Radio man, they got a huge
inning there. Tire Rack of course brought to you, brought
you to play. For over forty years, tirec has been
helping customers find the right tires for how, what and
where they drive. Ship fast and free back by free
Road has a protection with convenient installation options like mobile
tire installation tire rack dot Com. It is the way
tire buying should be. So they move on to the
(33:47):
al ds. Uh and we got Thursday night football tonight,
Rob And I'm looking at a couple of things here.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Another game I'm not moved by. I'm sorry, Well are you?
Speaker 4 (33:58):
You ain't? No, you ain't got to be.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
So it would have been if it weren't for the
mass unit, that is right, That's what I mean, Jeft
Francisco forty nine ers, My guys, it would have been
a very very good game. You're looking at both teams
are three and one right now. But I was looking
at this. I'm looking at it as the rams. How
can you be three and one? Probably feel like you
should have been four and oh, if the Eagles don't
(34:20):
recruit like I said, Ben Wallace to come block a
couple of field goals, you be four and oh. But
the way I'm looking at this is if the forty
nine ers, obviously they can't play party, they're missing a
bunch of their receivers, missing defensive players. They're down right now.
You have to go out there. You cannot play them
as if they're a mass unit. You gotta go out
(34:40):
there and win this game because your division. I mean,
the Seattle Seahawks say what you want about you know McDonald,
but he's playing well. They're three and one. The forty
nine ers are three and one, and the Rams don't
want to go down three and two because this is
gonna be a tough division. Man, you still got to
play these teams. You still got to compete. Arizona's not
(35:01):
horrible at two and two. So this is one of
those games where you have to go in lack a professional,
take care of business, don't play down to the competition,
don't look ahead to them to who's next week, you know,
looking at it like, oh we got the Ravens next week.
We got to look at it. No, go in there,
take care of business versus forty nine ers and be
up for one of the division because again they got
(35:22):
a very tough division and they have enough.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
You know, you win this one.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
You got a nice little patch after the ravens of
a couple of games that aren't you know, the Jags
aren't well, they're good, but we'll you know, have to
see the Saints aren't anything. And so if you're there,
you have to take care of business and don't just
you know how teams play down in their competition. You
got to take care of business against the San Francisco
forty nine ers because it's a tough division you're in
right now. You're three and one, but you're like third
right now. The way they have it all set.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Up, yeah, I mean it is.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
It's you can't take them lightly play down to the competition.
Ton of stuff you're talking about. This should be one
of those games where you roll to be honest and
right and take a look and go, we're at full strength,
they're banged up. This shouldn't be a problem anything less
than that. A loss would be a big blow to
the Rams. I just I can't imagine them losing this game.
(36:11):
But then again, you know, how the NFL works. When
the Chargers went played the Giants, everybody that you know,
you know me, people lost money on that game.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
Yeah, and that's the hard part again. You go in
and it almost.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Can be a disadvantage, right because sometimes you're looking at
it as well. You're not prepared for Matt Jones, Right,
I don't know, how do we play?
Speaker 4 (36:32):
What do we do?
Speaker 1 (36:32):
How do you And you're kind of like we were
game planned up for brock Party throughout the season, right,
game panned up for stopping George kittlem and kind of
having your focus on that. Now they're down three receivers,
they're down Kittle, they're down the quarterback, they're down defensive players.
That almost throws you off in that you're like, well,
who is this foreign team? Who is this team that
we don't know? It's like with the Giants, right, you
mentioned Jackson Dark comes in, and it's not that he's
(36:54):
necessarily a better quarterback than Russell Wilson right now as
much as well, I don't know what he does.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
Oh, he run the ball all, he runs the ball tough. All.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
The team has an actual little spark tool. They're playing
a little bit harder now, so I think that's what
happens sometimes when you get these teams that there's a
bunch of injuries, is you don't know exactly what to
game plan for. And Matt Jones's played well so far
for the most part. So uh, if you're again, that's why,
if you're the Rams, you got to go in there
and take care of business because you don't want to
take this team lightly.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
No doubt. Let's be interesting to see how it plays out.
Expect the Rams to roll?
Speaker 5 (37:28):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (37:29):
I do they they got looking at their schedule, the Rams,
they got a bunch of winnable games the rest for
a long stretch.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
Man.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Obviously the Ravens will see how healthy they are. But
after that, I mean, you got the Jags, the Saints.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
But you just don't know, Like the NFL is not
that easy because everybody would be in Vegas and everybody
would be rich, you know.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
What I mean?
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I agree, But it looks like that on papers rights Falcons.
Speaker 8 (37:50):
No.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
I know what you're saying, because I because I remember
when who was when when Cleveland won its game, right,
people were shocked that they want that game.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, you gotta you gotta play every single week without
a doubt.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
But they did.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
They better take care of business tonight. Don't play around
with these forty nine ers.
