Speaker 1 (05:13):
Were on the phone talking about He was like, I
know we can't lead with this because I ain't.

Speaker 8 (05:18):
But if Agent Wilson's at the nail's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
She had twenty in the first half.

Speaker 4 (05:23):

Speaker 2 (06:05):
He said he had the Mercury tonight. Yeah, okay, what's
the what's the spread? Robbed?

Speaker 4 (06:08):
You give me the spread? Three and a half? Yeah, okay,
you just guessed. It ain't no three and a half.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
It went up, it's four and a half. He didn't
even look there. Money came in, yes, four and a half.
Now the hair agent was going crazy crazy. They bet
eight dollars on this game. That's crazy, all right. Alex
is our enginey Monty Blan, Yeah, is at the anchor desk,
shoe keep us updated throughout the program.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
And of course you went to go switch her out
for for YouTube. A lot of them, a lot it's
our social media Google.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
I mean, there's just more questions you have to ask
me in order for me to tell you about myself.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I can't give you the whole I.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Don't even know. I just can't give you a whole spill.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I don't even know you're sitting that.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
I don't even know where he's sitting that.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
It's text me, Hey, I'm in the restaurant. We wait
on you the next time we have our meet up.
I'm texting y'all.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I don't know. I don't even know you're sitting at all.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Right, let's go.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
It's gonna be dumbest stock here we go. All right,
all right, let's get to it.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Rob G.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Bill Belichick, Oh my goodness, gracious, just let's let's get
to it. More stuff coming out now, as even talk
Rob G that maybe there's something could happen here.

Speaker 8 (07:28):
Yes, sir Olie Connolly from The Guardian, if you don't
know who that is, you should know because we talked
about it on this show. He had Bill Belichick to
North Carolina a full week before anybody else did. My
man is if he's not plugged in everywhere, he's definitely
plugged in in this situation with Bill Belichick with North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
He reported about two hours ago.

Speaker 8 (07:51):
This is a lengthy I want to read this verbatim
because this is some some gnarly information.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Cordner sources.

Speaker 8 (07:57):
Belichick has discussed buy out options with North Carolina. He
signaled a willingness to trigger his own one million dollar
buyout if he can find a soft landing with either
another team or in the media. But it gets worse, guys,
members of Milichick. Of Belichick's coaching staff have already spoken
to other schools that are expected to be in the

(08:19):
playoff hunt about taking on roles during the postseason. According
to one anonymous coach, quote, the Rats are leaving the ship.
Some staffers believe the change will come within two weeks.
There's also been reports of serious recruiting violations that are
currently under investigation at UNC. Recruiting and practice violations have

(08:39):
already been proven by the school, according to multiple sources,
and here's another one. Belichick's communication with this staff in
the past two weeks has been described as quote weird
and distant by multiple members of the current coaching staff.
Multiple coaches were actually unable to get a hold of
him during their recent buye One UNC defensive assistant said, quote,

(09:04):
what we've done to these kids is ft up.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
My goodness, I said this, and you could go look
it up on YouTube, seriously, that this was gonna end
badly and that this was a mistake from Jump. I
was never with it, and then even yesterday I said
that they should move on from him because there's no
long term plan here. This is a terrible car wreck.

(09:28):
We knew that was happening. We knew with the nepotism
and the cronyism and the girlfriend in the mix, and
a seventy three year old coach trying to coach college
kids and North Carolina not being a football school getting
your butts kicked up and down the field, right, It's
just been a total disaster. I don't know how, at

(09:50):
any point any situation that Bill Belichick really thought this
was gonna work or this was a good idea. I
never bought into it. I'm not surprised. And they should
come to some sort of agreement so that Bill Belichick
can get on, you know, with going to Denny's and
the early Bird Special and whatever else he wants to

(10:10):
do during the day. But this whole idea of pretending
that this is gonna work or you have to, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Go through the entire year of this for it to
be cool, I'm not with it. Well, look, you know
I call him UNC.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
North Carolina is now just UNK because that's what I'm
saying to him Unk this. We knew this was never
gonna work. Me and you talked about it from the beginning.
What's the gain in this? What was the who's gonna
be the big winner in this? And ultimately here we
are with its decline, And to me this was just
UNC was used as a rebound Bill Billimachick because he's
billing him a check.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
He used him as a rebound. The NFL is where
he wanted to be.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
You talked about it then, how he wants to break
the all time coaching record.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
He's a handful of games away from that.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
He wanted to obviously prove that I could be a
coach without Robert Kraft, without Tom Brady, and it is
up not working out for him. So then the rebound
was you and C. The problem is you can't rebound
in college like that. You get rebound in the NFL
because guys are professionals, Guys know what to do, they've
been in the league, and you can implement your system
over the offseason and boom, we can move on programs

(11:15):
in college, you gotta recruit, You gotta go in mom
and dad's living rooms. You gotta sell guys on what
you're gonna do. You gotta build up your coaching staff.
It's a whole thing. That's why it's called a program.
Any idea he could just march on up in there,
half Senate, got your girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
You're doing it.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Mind you, you're doing a book tour. Mice, you're doing
a book tour. You're beefing with Robert Kraft. He was
never in this for the long haul, so it makes
it strange. And then you and c they got all
getting because ooh, we get a big name and we'll
get popularity.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
We'll get on all the shows. The odd couple's gonna
talk about us.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
But ultimately, like what happens most times in college sports,
the kids are the ones that get used up because
you didn't have a You knew this was terrible, This
wasn't gonna work. He was never serious. He was just
looking for a rebound date. You were that, and ultimately
the kids, because you you know what, you got robbed.
You got kids who decommitted from other schools. You got
kids who left and you know went there. You got
kids who maybe in high school right now who changed

(12:07):
the way they're gonna go. All of that for it's
something that's gonna end badly, and we're hearing all the
negative things that's gonna come. So this was just a
bad idea from the jump. Never bought into it. And
no offense, no agism. He's seventy three, college is approached.
This takes time.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
He's the oldest coach in college.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah, and it just takes time and signs just something
that he didn't have, Like he wasn't built for this.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
He's not locked into it.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
So that and most importantly, he completely changed his ideology
and ethos. He's no distractions, he's locked in. He's worre
on the Cincinnati and that's completely what he hasn't been
in UNC. And that's why you want to know what
their defensive rankings. What was Bill Belichick known for defense?

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Right when they won all those Super bowls?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Go, look, they had the top five defense every year
like people talk about, oh it's only Tom Brady stopped
defensive special teams was incredible.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
You know what do you know what UNC is ranked
ROB one hundred twenty eighth in the nation. And opponent's
points per game. People score all up and down on them.
Opponent's yards a game, they're rakeing one hundred and thirty second.
Oh and by the way, sacks allowed one hundred and
twenty six so what yeah, so not sax meaning and
they give up the most. They're not getting sacks. So

(13:18):
you look it up offensively one hundred and twenty third
passing yards, one hundred and twenty eighth points per game.
Like they're not doing anything. Well, there's not a single
thing you can come in a hang your hat on.
And that's what's disappointing as well.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
All right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Is
the Belichick era at North Carolina? An even bigger dumpster
fire than we thought? Or is it time to just
cut bait in Chapel Hill. We'llcome through you that conversation

(15:42):
that this could end very fast, sooner than later. In
UNC Rob and I one of the few times, you know,
we agreed on something. This was just doing from the start.
Do you think they're still hope trying to cut bait
now even though it costs a little money?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
What do you do? Eight seven to seven ninety nine
on Fox Who we got? All right?

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Jordan in DC, You're on the EYD Couple Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
What's up? Jordan?

Speaker 11 (16:03):
Oh hey, guys, how you.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Doing doing great? Good?

Speaker 11 (16:06):
Oh Man? Belichick has just been an absolute embarrassment. From
from the moment he got there. Even even today, I'm
seeing people say I can't wait for the thirty for
thirty documentary. I was thinking he hasn't been there long
enough to fill the whole hour slot that the documentary
would take.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
You know, it's gonna be a short you know how
they got the short ones.

Speaker 11 (16:25):
No, but I had a question for you guys. You
know how you know, post Russell Wilson's career in Seattle,
we pretty much unanimously agreed that any chance he's had
in the Hall of Fame, he's played himself out of No.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
No, no, we do not. I don't think it's unanimous. I
think that, but I don't think it's unanimous. I think
there's still people who feel like.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
I don't think so what his number ten time Pro
Bowl and he went to two Super Bowls, he won one.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
I don't. I'm sorry, I can't. I'm not.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
I'm not an I think he has but again, it's
not unanimous. I'm fully aware it's not unanimous that he's
right on the edge. He's a habitual edge and line stepper.
Right now, with that who drew.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
In New Jersey, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
What's up, Drew Hey, I called it.

Speaker 12 (17:09):
I said yesday that Harbor going out. I think that
that leaves open for Bill Belichick. I think he's he's
trying to get outause. I think he sniffs at the
Ravens jobs to be open. I think that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Lamar's life, he's ruined it.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
I think that would help him.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
He Bill Belichick was awful offensively without Tom Brady, so
and Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 12 (17:34):
Does Lamar need help on off?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
No, his defense, And what I'm saying is you don't
want to lose what why he works?

Speaker 5 (17:41):
Well?

Speaker 2 (17:41):
They need They need to give it to John Harball.
I'll tell you that that's a conversation with Jo.

Speaker 12 (17:45):
Belichick is bought in with you, you n Z. I
think I still think he could coach. I just don't
think he cares.

Speaker 11 (17:51):
Yeah, I think he really cares.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
But I don't even understand why he was a rebound.
He was hurting.

Speaker 6 (17:57):
No.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
But I know people.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
I talked to people in the NFL he was offered
the Falcons job. I'm gonna say that because I talked
to people who are in the know. He was offered
the job and it was like him and in hard
about who's got and all this stuff. And then that's
when the Falcons got cold feed and we're like, oh,
wait a minute, you know, like this sounds like that.

(18:19):
And then they went and got their third choice as coach.
Bill Belichick was supposed to get that job and kind
of talked his way out of it, like in that sense.
So there was a job there that he could have
had if he wanted to try to get the all
time record.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
It's just I think he's I think in his mind,
I have earned the right. I deserve the right to
do it. And also you know he'll say, look, I
got six titles by doing it my way.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Let me come in, give me the keys. He was
the only front office person there.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
And I know the Falcons haven't done enough to be
able for anybody to think that they know everything. But
you got you gotta understand the circumstance. You can't talk yourself.
You're seventy three years old, and that's hard.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
For some people. But that's the opposite.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
They go, look how great I am, and look what
I've done in these seventy three years, and it's hard
to sell it.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
I just think you got to understand the room. You
gotta understand where you fit in. I told you before
the all time worst thing that ever happened was herve
Villa says on Fantasy Island. Thought he was bigger than
he really was on the show. And guess what tell
me tomorrow TV? Things on third and they got rid
of him. They got a gentleman's gentleman instead of the plane.

(19:28):
He had one line on the show. Life was good, okay, life.
Now he had the audacity to want two lines, right,
and guess what they got rid of him? No more plane, boss,
There you go?

Speaker 2 (19:38):
All right?

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Then he's doing Dunkin Donuts doing I'll commercial you remember
what kind of donuts do you want?

Speaker 2 (19:44):
The plane? The plane?

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Char Green, two time MB All Star on the way
right now, Moncey Belanos doing Chipotle commercials.

Speaker 7 (19:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm Eastern
four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
I'm all lan Monci, I know you are. Radio. Would
a blindfold on on this askin, don't worry. There's a
lot of baseball. No Prouder TV you'll be all right.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yeah, Stia couple, thank you, Monzi, Ross and Kelvin on
a worship Wednesday and Aches and Pains where they can
sneak up during the holiday hustle and bustle. A leave
can help you forget the pain and make happy memories instead.
With just one pill, Elie provides up to twelve hours
of body pain relief so you can keep it moving.
Use as directed. And as we mentioned, we are joined

(20:37):
now by Sean Green, two time NBA MLB All Star
Sean Green fifteen on x Shaw.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
What's up Man, what's happening?

Speaker 7 (20:47):
How's it going going?

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Great man? Just to join.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
As Monci just mentioned all his baseball, we got like
seventeen TVs going on in the studio right now. Rob,
I guess I'll start with with last night with the Yankees.
Sitting next to Rob and he kept say, man, it's early,
it's early. We have people in the studio were saying
it's over. They fought back, Aaron Judge obviously has a
big night. Just your take on how they can kept
themselves in this.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
Yeah, No, they're they're scary team. Once they get hot,
especially getting Judge hot, and you know it's it doesn't
take a lot of guys getting on base when you
have him in the line of Bellinger hit the ball
of the ballpark. Jazz hit the ball of the ball park.
So I mean they got some guys obviously, Stanton. So
it's just a matter of getting some guys on base

(21:30):
and keeping one or two of the big, big guys
hitting the ball of the park. They're gonna be tough
to beat.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Yeah, And and this time of the year, Sean, it's just, uh,
this is what makes baseball to me. When you watch
it in a regular season, I don't have to I'm
not into every pitch, but when you get to the postseason,
every single pitch is important. You know, whether it's a
it's a mistrike call that could have got you out
of the inning, or a ball or whatever. Am I

(21:58):
right there, it's a different intensity or the way you
look at the game.

Speaker 7 (22:02):
Yeah, without a doubt, it's it really is a different
game in the in the postseason. And you know, I
think it's hard to beat October baseball, especially right now,
you got you know, four games going all all today.
It's it's, uh, you know, it's so exciting to see
and like you said, each pitch from the first inning on.
I remember playing you know, the two postseasons I played

(22:24):
in when with the Dodgers, one of the mess it's
like from the first inning on, the whole crowds on
their feet, you know, ooing and eyeing at every single pitch,
and and when you're in the field, you have chills,
you know, throughout the game. And I think it's you know,
as a fan, it's kind of the same deal. You're
you're hanging on every single pitch and there's enough the
cadence of the game, you know, where it's not like

(22:46):
the NBA where the action just keeps going and you
have those pauses make it that much more exciting because
you're anticipating, you know what could and you know hopefully
will or won't happen.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Let's go to the Dodgers, a team you played for,
and they have a chance to sweep the Phillies tonight.
I don't think it's gonna happen. I think the Phillies
are going to fight back and get a game. But
Game two in Philadelphia, Sean I did not understand the
bunting with a man on. You're trying to tie the game,

(23:17):
You're down by one, you have a man on second
with nobody out, you have three shots at getting them in.
They try to bunt and Nick Costellanos gets nailed at
third base. You know, what did you make of that?
Did you first guess that? Because I first guessed it.
I just didn't understand why you would be bunning there.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
Yeah, I mean that's it's definitely the old school way
is to get the bunch down. And you know, I
gotta say it was a good bund and it's just
a great play by Munthsy to get in there. It
was a wheel play and he came in there charging
full out, and yeah, you kind of want to butt
it down third right there, And it's just it was

(23:58):
just like I said, it just kind of a perfect play.
But you know, if I was managed, I probably would
would bun as well. And if I knew that, my
my guys knew how to bun a lot of times.
Now there's not as much bunning, so it's really hard
to bun when you haven't been doing it throughout the season.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
But you also you also have Nick who's not a
fast runner at second right, and you don't have anybody
to pinch run from, so you're you're in a pickle there.

Speaker 7 (24:22):
Yeah, And that's the other thing. Without as much of
the the short ball that's played these days, as a runner,
you have to you kind of kind of know how
big of a lead you have to get. You have
to make sure you're far enough off there and and
you know, you kind of know when there's a pick
play you got. You understand those things, so you have

(24:42):
to be ready to get back. But especially with the
wheel play going, if you get a really big league
lead at second base, like almost you know, almost halfway there,
when the ball hit across its home plate, then you're
gonna you're gonna make it. And I think it's just
a matter of them not really playing that type of
baseball very often. It's hard to execute when you you're
in the most crucial time of the year and try

(25:03):
to know exactly what to do. If you don't do
it throughout the.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Season, Yeah, it was amazing.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Will play Sean Green our guest two time MLB All
Star with the Acaba Robin Kelvin on a worship Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Let me ask you this.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Rob and I you know, we go through the whole season,
we talked about this, We talk about that obviously, we're
going to hit the big storylines aheadlines. But the Brewers
have just quietly been a very good team. And here
they are with a chance to go ahead and move
on if they were able to pull this out. They
swept the Dodgers. How good are they and what makes
them so good? Why has this season been so good
for them?

Speaker 7 (25:34):
Yeah, I mean it's hard to say that. They just
kind of found that rhythm where they play really well.
As a team. I think they have compared to a
lot of the teams in baseball, even in the postseason,
they have quality at bats. I think there's a lot
of teams who are kind of all or nothing, and
they have some guys who are going to, you know,
battle and put the ball in play and string hits together.

(25:57):
And I think offensively that's their strength. They play good
these which this time of year. We saw last year
when the Dodgers won, The Yankees collapsed defensively as well
as some of the other teams. And so if they
could do the little things and throw strikes and make
the plays, they're gonna be tough to beat.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
How about the Tigers, They are a very weird team.
They just collapse down the end. And now you know,
they look like they were dead today, down three nothing,
and then all of a sudden they explode with nine runs,
the last nine runs of the game. They forced a
game five back in Seattle. What do you make of

(26:35):
the Tigers? And for whatever reason, the Mariners are the
only team that could beat school Ball.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
They've beaten him.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
He's only three against against the Mariners and has an
elray of five and a half.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Can you explain, Yeah, that's weird.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
It's already explained that. I will say I think the
Tigers have They're one of those teams that are kind
of all or nothing, right, So if they all of
a sudden get hot, then they could throw nine runs
up like they did. But they have you know, a
lot of their hitters have holes and swinging miths. A
lot hit the ball, you know, pop up and swing
through it. So if they have a guy that's that's on,

(27:10):
they're gonna be they're gonna have a tough time. But
if you know, they have a guy who's thrown it
where their bad is, you know, in the zone they
can they could do some damage. So I think that's
kind of why they're so streaky. And in terms of
Schoogle yeah, I'm watching on TV. He looks absolutely silthy.
So I don't I don't know anyone, Uh can you know,
just dominate him like they have. But sometimes you get

(27:33):
someone's number, maybe they maybe he tips his pitches, maybe
there's something else they're seeing. But you know, I'm sure
they're not as concerned as probably every other team would
be facing him, you know, in an elimination game.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Hey, I want to go back.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
We talked about a team you played with, the Dodgers,
Robin Eisen Here have conversations man offensively, you know what
you're gonna get, you know, if shoes offul then Freddy Freeman,
Will Smith, Mookie. I mean, they've got Mounsie, they've got
guys starters and playing very pitching well the last couple
of months now that they're getting healthy.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
But that bullpen.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Have you seen anything like this where you might have
to secure five, six, seven runs a night because the
bullpen can let you down.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Have you seen anything like this in quite some time?

Speaker 7 (28:13):
No, I mean, it's it's definitely not how the Dodgers
have been. They've they've been pretty rock solid with the bullpen,
and that's their strategy, you know, has been to you know,
get get through five innings, six innings, and then rely
on the matchups. So it's just, you know, Dave's just
a great manager, smart guy. So you're just gonna have
to figure out, you know, a different approach this year,
which he already is showing that he's you know, doing

(28:36):
a great job of and and make sure you get
those starters going a little deeper and being a little
more careful. Maybe then then he had to be in
the past with some of the relievers that were lights
out against righties, against lefties, and and you could just
kind of run them, run them out there for an
inning or two, and now it's it's a little different.
You have to bring some of the starters back into

(28:57):
the bullpen like they've done and see an know how
they can do coming out of the pen.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Sean, you hit three hundred and twenty eight home runs
in your major league career. That's a big number.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
When you watch Aaron Judge and that home run he
hit last night, which looked like it was going to
hit him in the face and it was off the
plate at almost adam, how do you how do you
swing on a ball like that and take it out
of a ballpark?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
And keep it fair.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
I mean that that was really an unbelievable home run
just looking at it.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Yeah, that was that was amazing. He's he's done incredible
things in his career and he's not he's far from done.
So it's kind of like an Aedgar Martinez home run
if you watched a bunch of him in years with Seattle.
But he was really good at keeping those inside pitches
fair and yeah, there's not a lot of guys that

(29:52):
do that. Judge kind of stays he's really a back
leg hitter, so you know, I think if he lets
it get deep and can stay inside the ball, he's
able to keep it fair. And that's that's exactly what he.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Did last thing for me.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
Uh, Judge and Otani or they winny m vps again,
they are again? There we are again. These are two
best players to me in the game. Where are you
want m VP?

Speaker 7 (30:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:17):
I mean.

Speaker 7 (30:19):
If he should have wanted the year Judge beat him,
I felt like years ago when he's with the Angels,
if he's pitching, and if he's if he was a
mediocre pitcher and a mediocre hitter, he should win the
MVP every year. And he's a top pitcher and a
top hitter, maybe the best hitter in the game right now.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
So don't you think that?

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Yeah, because Judge, you know, set the record for home
runs in the America.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
I think that was no way.

Speaker 7 (30:46):
No, just the way I look at it, you go
in the postseason, who do you want on your team?
You want the guy who's going to be your number
one pitcher and going to hit forty something home runs
whenever you hit that year? Or would you rather have
Judge and your team? I mean, I always with the
guy that could do both. It's like, just because he's
that good, you can't you can't discount because someone else

(31:07):
had a great year. It's like, who who would you
pick on your team? It's always Otani For me.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Well, I sit here and yeah, I don't know. I
say it to him every day.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
So to me, if if I'm picking, I'm picking Aaron
Judge and I get I get the pitching and hitting.
But the Dodgers won a World Series last year and
guess what, oh, Tany didn't pitch at.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
All and they won a World Series.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
That's what it's scarier now, No, they're not. They might
not win this year with him pitching. I don't think
they're going to win this year. That's all I'm saying, Sean,
that's all.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
I love Judge. I think Judge is amazing. Absolutely maybe,
but I will say, even though rally with anything, yeah, yeah, Cal,
the fact that he's a catcher and hit sixty home
runs like that definitely level of the comfort level of
the playing field and Judge had in the same year.
And if it wasn't for Cal, I'd say, geez, you know,

(31:59):
it's you know, unanimous. But I don't know. I mean,
the fact that a catcher did that, it's so important.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
He's going to get votes. There's no doubt about it.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
I should get some votes.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
I think he's going to get it.

Speaker 5 (32:10):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
I don't think he's going to get it.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Going to get it only because Judge hit almost one
hundred points higher than him. You know, Sean, nobody what
I think you bet at two eighty three. I can't
remember what your lifetime at right something like that. Guys
have been two forty in the Big League, you know that,
and Judge Bettett three thirty one with fifty three bombs.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
Yeah, I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
I know.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
It's hard. It's it's really hard to argue that the
only thing I'm saying is if you have a shortstop,
I mean even a catcher the most, but you're a catcher, shortstop,
second baseman, that that's some huge numbers. It's such an
advantage because you expect your or positions, your outfield is
your first and third basement to put up some some

(32:52):
you know, home runs and RBIs and all that. But
to have that from a catcher is like, it's just
such a such an advantage. That's why I felt like
the Brave teams were so good back in the day.
They had Andrew Jones and center field. They had Hobby
Lopez for a while right putting them numbers Marcus Gilds,
so they were putting them raw field for Collins. So
you get guys doing that, then it's easy to have

(33:13):
a good lineup because your corner guys are going to
also put up some numbers.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Hey, shaw Man, we appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (33:18):
Thank you so much, man, pleasure anytime.

Speaker 1 (33:21):

in a game, couple time All Star, two eighty three
bad average.

thousand hits.

Speaker 7 (34:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:38):
And you know what I did? Yes? You're saying I
was two and oh okay, all right, yay, how about that?
That's all I get is a week lebron you know
what that was? Right? That was Lebron off that Hennessy
all right, yesterday too?

Speaker 4 (34:55):

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yay, there you go. Did you hear that? Thirty four

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (35:03):
All right, I'll sell your people, that's right them. I'll

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Turn off your station, all right, don't turn up your
station now because I'm giving you money. All right, all right,
here we go. I know you Dodger fans. Cover your ears,
everybody at this station, Dodger fans.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
It's sickening. But anyway, cover your ears. Let me put
my money on the opposite what you about to say
with that?

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Philadelphia Phillies versus padres No plus one and a half.
I'm taking the Phillies tonight plus the one and a half.
And I think that they salvage one game and they
might lose tomorrow, but they're gonna win tonight.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I had Seattle minus one and a half.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Of course this was all posted by Elijah earlier on
social so that was Seattle minus one and a half.
That did not work out. So you know I got
a lost there. I got the Yankee he's minus one
and a half. They trail one nothing, bottom of the third.
And I had the Cubs plus one and a half

(36:10):
runs and the Cubs are actually winning, yeah, four to three,
plus they're gonna get a run and a half. So
Cubs plus one and a half, the Yankees minus one
and a half, Seattle minus one and a half that
didn't work out, and the Phillies plus one and a half.
And remember, I'm not telling you who'd have bet on
all the hall, I'm telling you who I bet on.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
All right, there you have it, and now this tign
for your tire reck plate of the day, the two
to two swinger line shot.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
Base it in the center, Tiger's gonna tie it up,
jukes around third, fires, big turn and hold it first three,
three game in the.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Fifth, Tigers radio there, big game for the Tigers. They
win for us a game five. That'll be a good one,
and that was your tirereck Play of the Day, brought
to you by Tyrack. For over forty years, Tiraq has
been helping customers find the right tires for how, what
and where the drive ship fast and free back by
free Road has the protection with convenient insallation options like

(37:07):
mobile tire insulation. Tire rack dot Com the way tied
buying should be, and we talked about it. Baseball has
that thing where the averages at some point, right, you
can be in a slump for a couple of weeks
and you're gonna get back and then you're hot. We've
hit seeing teams where they can't hit, and that was
the Tigers. I mean, my gosh, if you're school, you're like, dude,

(37:28):
I gave up a couple solo home runs, a few hits,
and you guys can't get a run.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
You can't, you know, help me out a little bit,
and you can't give me two or three runs. My god.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
And the bats have been horrible, they've been flat. They're
nothing today. Did you think that, like, oh my god,
did you believe I had a dude at the crib plumbing?
A plumber came in apparently, I told Robb g By
the way after the whole ordeal, he goes, oh, yeah,
it will be this much.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
But when he goes up by the way, man, do
I know you? I'm like, you know?

Speaker 1 (37:57):
He's like yeah, man, like are you for ten list
or I don't know? And I was like, yeah, man,
I do you know? I do the news in the morning.
And then he's like, and I brought the odd couple
he's and he's like a big fan. His best friend
is a huge fan that you listen to us. He's
an Indianapolis Pacer fan, so he has to listen and
he does a whole going back to Indiana.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Yeah, yeah, going back to you probably made his day
with you know, the only question I got whenever you
bring up a plumber.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
About his did you see his butt crack? I just
want to know.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
First of all, I just want to know if I
saw his butt crack. That's number one. Number two. I
can't express to you how much I avoided the possibility
of seeing.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
That, alex Am I wrong.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
We want to know if it was butt crack city
for the plumbers, because the plumbers.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
You're too giddy, like you're like, oh was it crack?
Like why do you want to know? This, No, I
did not see it.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
In fact, I think because of that, I think he
had on a full like jumpsuit, not like a split
like pants and jacket.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
They had a full jump I would.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Have wanted to refund, but you're usually gonna get a
show with the plumber, and it's not a Magic City Monday.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
No to Worshia Wednesday. Let me tell you about what
I didn't want to say. He better cock up that crack,
He better put some cocking in. You better cement that,
you better plaster that crack. I don't want to see that.
I'm the handtime crack. I'm anti cracker.
