Speaker 3 (02:42):
Is that what we're doing?
Speaker 4 (02:43):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
I'm very good, he said.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
We jumped like Superman over people in the snow and MVP.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
I always thought we were a second banana to the
nighttime show after us.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
But there we go. I'm okay with that. There we go.
Thank you, thanks a lot.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I thank you emptied the clip yesterday.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Done would likes you anymore.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Everybody, But I understand that when when I walk out
of here, I don't expect people to like me like you. No,
I'm not that kind of guy. I'm the kind of
guy who you're gonna you know what you don't like.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
But you respect and you say, wait a minute, wait
a minute, Elijah, is this turned into a put the
camera on me moment?
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Here with me?
Speaker 4 (03:25):
You might not like me, but you don't respect me.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
R E s p E K Alex, rob g Alex,
you don't believe what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Look at Alex. Yeah I know, Rob, I believe rapped Alex.
You know what I'm saying. I do, Rob, Why y'all
gotta do me like that? Okay, go ahead, rob g H.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
There was some big numbers in the w disappointing numbers
are disappointing.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
Big, huge, so big. I've never seen bigger numbers in
the history. Look at my hand, look at the best
I've ever seen the best. I didn't say it saying
I'm full mega.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Now that was wild.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
That was wild.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
That's the MAGA theme song.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
I didn't know. I didn't know what was like, I'm
out the loop.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
But yes, ESPN released the figures for the w NBA
season today. FU number and let's just say, Bob Parker's
even all the crow right now, not in crow because
even without Caitlin Clark, without who missed most of the season,
didn't play, ESBN reported the highest regular season and postseason
(04:39):
numbers ever across their network for w NBA content. In fact,
you'd have to go back to nineteen ninety nine when
they were on NBC network channels, so the last time
they had higher postseason television ratings. Big big year for
the W, big postseason for the W, big L for
(05:04):
Rock Parker.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
They're no big L. I don't even buy into this
spin that they're giving. But go ahead, Kelvin, No, you're
all hop are gonna be all hype because it is
hype and the idea that you think that the w
NBA is better because Kaitlyn Clark didn't play and that
the numbers are Look, we don't need her.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Really, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
You remember this past year where people thought she was hurt,
but they weren't sure she wasn't gonna play, and then
all of a sudden, those numbers were good. And then
when people realized she was out, you remember how the
numbers cratered and tanked fifty percent. Go ahead and have
another season without her and see where your numbers are.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
I'm not buying it.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yeah, well they are buying it.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
They're buying tickets and they're buying it, and they're going
to I thought it was replay.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
It was so bad.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
How many times you're gonna two out, you're trying to
get the guy at first base and you throw the
ball down the line.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
I mean, why couldn't it have been the opposite for like, yeah,
look at the Dodgers. Take the man why you got.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
And then the bruise They won a million games against.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
The play sometimes you got to And the best part
about this t We've done this every series where he
gets mad at the other tem every series. Po Why
would you throw it to third? Why would Why would
you not throw it to first? Remember the picture didn't
talk to first. Every series you get.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Mad at you because it's just stump baseball. That's what
drives me crazy. Is it not the crew? I'm not
rooting for anybody.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I don't care who wins, but I just can't get
over it was one one. Your pitcher's cruising a long,
you walk a guy, you give up a ground ball.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Look you get out of the inning.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
What are you trying to pick somebody off at first, first,
and third? You just struck out Hernandez right for the
second out.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
You don't need to do anything.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (06:49):
You throw the ball down the first base count?
Speaker 5 (06:52):
But there lies Robert Lee Parker Man who didn't root
for anybody dot dot shot except for whole list of things,
except for the Chiefs to lose the Lions and lose it.
Of the Dodgers losing Aaron Judge, it hit seven home
runs and one gave it. I'm gonna have a whole list. Look,
may me get back to WNBA real quick? The reason
I think, Look, nobody signs up for your star player
(07:12):
to get hurt, right if it's Steph Curry, if it's
Patrick Mahomes, if it's whomever it may be in this case,
Caitlyn Clark. Nobody signs up for that, especially the league
that's trying to continue to grow. What I do think
happened though, beginning of the season, we had a couple
of conversations with her about her She wasn't looking good,
and we know what actletes say, Look, when you're playing,
you're playing right, you can't. Oh, she heard it, She's not.
And she was shooting the ball terribly. Her percentages were horrible,
(07:35):
and she was out there competing. But I think what
was a good thing was a reminder of people that
while she may be the most popular, it doesn't always
equate to the best. And I think the WNBA benefited
from Oh, we can also showcase the best players. The
Asia Wilson, Sabrina I Andescu's, the Page Beckers you had
a little rival with her as well, and then the
Feasia Collers, Collier, and you know a handful of other
(07:58):
Lista Thompson, You have a bunch of other players who
are really good, and I think that kind of got highlighted,
and thankfully to Caitlyn Clark, they were able to piggyback
off that, like riding a momentum from last season into
this season that she was playing a little bit early on,
and then you get into it.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
So I think they're a pivotal point right here, rob Or.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
I think they have to continue to start showcasing other players,
right because you got Juju coming in after one where
year of college, She'll be coming in. You got other stars.
They have to keep growing the brand along with her,
not simply just because of her. Because and I think
some of this controversy if he should Collie are calling
out the commissioner. I think all of these things are
(08:37):
good because it starts to have conversations how they move forward.
You and I've talked about it, how they promote the game,
how they highlight Caitlyn Clark more. Stop trying to ostracize her.
Highlight her, you like, be a part of that, Make
that a part of the brand. Sell that Michael Jordan
magic and bird that thing.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I'm trying to grow with her because we know if
she grows, they grow so And I also think we
have to realize the ceiling people come on, it's all day.
Wnba ain't doing this, it's never gonna be the NFL.
Nothing in America is. It's never gonna be the NBA,
NBA or MLB. So I do think we have to
have a realistic ceiling, and for them it's growth and
(09:12):
trying to get there. But we got to step back
and like, if they do this right, do this right,
they're gonna be the NBA, They're gonna be MLB.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
That's not the case.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
And there are other businesses that can be sustainable in
other sports that we showcase in air and people enjoy
that aren't bohemoths. Like, it doesn't have to be the
NFL for it to be successful. So to me, if
i'm them, continue to find your stars, highlight them, and
to me, they use Caitlin Clark's storyline to do just that,
but they absolutely need her. She's huge. Who doesn't want
(09:40):
their Steph Curry or their Aaron Judge.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
If you will.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
I just think that people trying to parade numbers out
that despite her not being there, she was there most
of the year even if she didn't play, and we
saw the numbers. We saw the numbers creater fifty percent
and the TV waiting. So don't people that act like
I get it. It's it's the postseason. If you want
to parade around and say they're better because they were
(10:06):
so minuscule before and they're more eyeballs now on the team.
I get that, okay, you know, and she's a big
part of what's gotten her some of the eyeballs to
get to get there, to even have it falled off
enough so that they still have decent numbers, because that's
how bad they were. That's all I'm saying. You could
parade around that league needs her. She's a big Listen,
(10:29):
She's a big reason why they're where they are. And
anybody who tries to act like, oh, well, people just
discovered that there's so many other players or whatever. I
told Rob g earlier, I didn't even know. I think
I knew Vegas had a team. I didn't know that,
and I guess they won the championship, right, but I
didn't know that they had won the They've now won
(10:51):
three out of the last four.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Could you couldn't.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
I'm being honest, and I'm a sports guy, but I
just don't follow the WNB. I'm not gonna sit here
and pretend like I know what's going on in the
w NBA I don't.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Know how many you don't know any of that.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
I'm being honest, I believe you because I'm not gonna
be phony and act like, oh yeah, this is going
on now.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I don't know, but I think that's okay.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
Similarly that you might not know all the you know,
aside from you know, Serena, you might not keep up
with women's tennis, or even men's tennis for that matter.
Like I think that right and great, I get it.
That's okay, That's what I'm saying. I don't think they
have to have every sports fan must watch w NBA.
I think you find your niche, you grow your niche
if you're if they're smart, you start finding young people
(11:36):
right now so that they grow into it where it's
just a customer.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
I watch WNBA.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Don't have to be watching every minute at every game,
but they better start finding a younger fan base. And
I do think Angel rees doing the Victoria's Secret thing.
I think any I ain't mad at that. Any anytime
your stars get out there can be doing some more
things and having conversations, whether they be positive or negative,
like that can be a good thing as well, just
having folks out there. Speaking of Aurice Victoria Sieger. Who's
(12:02):
that she's a wm A star now people who don't
know the gang. Similar to Taylor Swift. I don't watch football.
It's not my thing. Taylor Swift might be the game.
Oh I'll tune in. That's not a bad thing to
have either.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. And it's real simple.
Do these TV ratings prove that Caitlin Clark isn't the
golden Goose of the WNBA like some people thought she was.
We'll continue that conversation next with you. It is the
(12:34):
odd couple on a TV theme song Thursday. Rob Parker,
kelvin Washington, right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Stick and stay.
Speaker 7 (12:43):
Unless you are an actual WNBA fan in the USA.
A let that's it. Rob Parker already left.
Speaker 2 (12:51):

Speaker 8 (13:03):
I'm the producer of the Paulin and Tony Fusco Show.
Usually in these promos they asked you to listen to
the show. I'm here to ask you please, don't listen
to the show. The hosts are two absolute morons who
have the dumbest takes on sports imaginable. Don't listen to
the show so it can get campers.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Get him fool.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Listen to the Tony Fusco Show on the iHeartRadio app
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
He's still moving.
Speaker 9 (13:33):
SpongeBob Square Pants, SpongeBob Square Pants, SpongeBob Square Pants, SpongeBob.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Square, SpongeBob Square, SpongeBob Square, SpongeBob Square Pants, finally Bob
Square Barb.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
I have a good quession. I don't really like SpongeBob
as much as everybody else does. I love the opening,
Oh no, no, no, yes, I'm not taking. My wife
was into it early, like when it first came out.
That was like her, just turn on and I don't
really care. It's just on TV kind of veg out thing.
And now my daughters love it. I just I'm like, eh,
never really hit from me like everybody else. It's the
(14:23):
couple Rock Parker Kevin Washington TV Things on Thursday on
the Way, We got college Kids. But Mark Gutto's gonna
join US, and it's been this to be his third time.
I believe been doing great so far.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
It's been good. They've done a good job.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
It's a new segment that we added this football season.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
We'll make sure we get some college football talk in there,
and then we got shop Talk coming up. And shop Talk,
by the way, is gonna be based off of Thursday
Night Football aka the Icy Hot.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
We did see a nice pass by Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Yes, he just do a nice about forty yard bomb
the DK. We'll get on that in just a little
bit right now. Over forty years, tire Reck's been helping
customers find the right tires for how and what where
your drive shit fast and free back by free road
hazard protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.
Tie reck dot Com is the way tire binks should
be u WNBA. They prove anything with the numbers that
(15:13):
maybe they don't just solely need. Kaitlin Clarker, you still
think absolutely she is one thousand percent of the thing
that drives. At eight seven seven ninety nine on FoxH
we got.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
All right, uh Mark in Sacramento, you're the couple Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Mark?
Speaker 10 (15:28):
Rob mister Washington, and you're being doing well.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Mark, appreciate you, brother.
Speaker 11 (15:32):
Good numbers lie the eyes, don't. You can find numbers
to make a fit anything you want. Nowadays, I know
one thing. If they don't change the attitude and the
way they act in perception and wearing shirts like the
things they wear, people aren't gonna watch. They don't care
how good they play. People aren't gonna watch. Sometimes it's
(15:54):
about the otitude. And I can a single women's basketball
ban likes the early seventies in college basketball. Lot me
put the to WNBA. I'm a fan, but I don't.
I'm like a fan, and I have a couple of
you know, female in my my family.
Speaker 10 (16:10):
Said the same thing.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
This man and should change the way to act.
Speaker 10 (16:14):
Yeah, people watch.
Speaker 11 (16:16):
It's not going to regardless.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Hey, Mark, I appreciate the call.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Mark.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
I think I think that's why they have to have
some real live conversations behind the scenes, the you know,
management and commissioners and all the stars, because they have
to realize they need each other for this thing to work.
David Stern needed his magic. His bird is Michael Jordan
touchdown here? Uh for the Steelers up obviously six we'll
see an extra point touchdown for the Steelers against the Bengals.
(16:41):
If you're the Bengals defense, did you mail it in
like period for the seat? Are you just like man?
We'll be doing.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Look. Look at Aaron Rodgers running back and forth like crazy.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
That's what I'm saying. Look, you can't give him time.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Look at this.
Speaker 12 (16:50):
Where's the pressure? Hendrickson is Once to the left, nobody's
he don't run this year?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
No more right? Look, once of the right, once of
the right. Okay, I got a man.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Eight point six three seconds that snap to pass. Let
me tell you how you're gonna lose. If you give
Aaron Rodgers, one of the greatest, the most talented him
and Pat Mahomes and maybe lway most talented quarterbacks ever
ate nine seconds.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
You're gonna lose. Hey, who next? Josh in Texas? You're
on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Josh?
Speaker 13 (17:18):
What's going on?
Speaker 10 (17:19):
Fellas?
Speaker 13 (17:20):
How you guys doing tonight?
Speaker 10 (17:21):
Doing well?
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Buddy?
Speaker 13 (17:22):
How are you pretty good?
Speaker 10 (17:24):
Man?
Speaker 13 (17:25):
I'm better than the Brewers right now, I'll.
Speaker 10 (17:26):
Tell you that.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah about three and a one two three CanCon trip too.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
It is bad right now? And then they.
Speaker 13 (17:33):
Immediately, Yeah, no doubt. Hey, just real quick before I
get into it. Rob, you were one of the funniest
people on radio yesterday. I saw you. You asked, who's
the two coaches that need to be fired? I was
sure you're gonna say, Doug.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Got me, there's our quoter for the hour. We almost
made it a full hour without a shout. Josh and
Josh Tickle himself.
Speaker 13 (18:02):
I know he would just believe it.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
Da.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Josh just wanted to get that joke in. Josh think
he no.
Speaker 13 (18:13):
I think the w NBA though, I think they need
to work with Kaitlyn Clark. Get her out because she's
the most popular. Then get your ten best out and
start is trying to sponsor that navigate that man. Try
to blow it up as much as possible.
Speaker 10 (18:26):
Get the cash.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Kyle White, you can't, no doubt, you have to do that.
And she's a big part of it.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
That's why they got ship. They gotta That's what I said,
you have to. They gotta buy in together. You get
what I'm saying. Like you, I couldn't join this show
and just be like, I don't really mess with Rob
g and I don't rob it like do we gotta
buy in together, Like all right, right, what we gotta do?
What do we need to do? Uh?
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Thank you to our bosses, Like all right, kel what
is keviny?
Speaker 8 (18:50):
Like?
Speaker 5 (18:50):
You gotta buy in if you're trying to build something together.
You're new to this thing. Caitlyn Clark, w NBA Commissioner,
New Stars. Man, you gotta build this thing together if
people just see all y'all do is arguing, go at
each other, and that can be a deterrent or a
turn off. So they got to definitely find a way
to uh, you know, bridge together. So I don't I
don't know what what what they got going on right there,
but yeah, I think the Bengals is by the way
(19:12):
that defense is they they were bad with Joe Burrow.
Then you lose Joe Burrow, you lost your browning. Now
you're on walk a flock of Flacco.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Well, I mean the throw down the sideline was a
really good throw That wasn't the issue. Let you have
that much time on a third and six, play man,
you gotta get some pressure on the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Can walk a flock of Flaco do something?
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (19:36):
I mean, yeah, you better find those receivers. But Nona
they got Aaron Rodgers about to turn back the clock tonight.
He might get five touchdowns a night. It ain't crazy.
We'll see against the Browns now, they got a good defense.
That was That was a that was a good drive. Right,
College kids on the way with Mark Gunnel's will do
some college football, get you updated on that right now, Montel.

football ball. No, we're in with the Odd Couple ball
norsal loss on what's happening across.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
The country in this week.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
We're focusing on the Big Ten with none other than
the Man, the mid, the legend himself, sports media personality
Mark Donald's some mart.
Speaker 10 (20:53):

Yeah, no, glad you have you back to But by
the way, real quick, hold up, hold up, holder, I
buried the head we bear to lead?
Speaker 4 (21:07):
What did you do with say that? Asian Wilson? I
seen it?
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Did she talk about you?
Speaker 10 (21:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
I'm not tripping.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
I was looking on and like, like, what it's something
you were in.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
I was like, is that Mark arm Mark Gundles.
Speaker 10 (21:21):
I was like, okay, because earlier in her year I
said that she was regretting and she turned it on obviously,
and she got back at me.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Yeah, look at you. You got an MVP in the finals.
MVP shoot and shooting at you, you'd have made it.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Rob's got Tom Brady, I got Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
I get somebody.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
You gotta get someone, somebody that you just so wildly
wrong on.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Come on, you know, I.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
Mean that's the problem.
Speaker 14 (21:47):
I'll be right to be here all day, all right,
guys talking on Big ten football here with Mark Gunnells,
you're on college kids topic number one.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
Indiana's coach got a new deal, But Mark says, keeping
on on the quarterback Fernando Mendoza for heisman.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Tell us why.
Speaker 10 (22:06):
You know this feels gross by the way, because at
first it was Dante more and he let me down
in Eugene. Let Indiana come into their house and snatch
their chain. And you know what, I ain't gonna lie
to you, man, I was out there Soto, Indiana, Babe.
It's because oh there are basketball schools Indiana football. Come on.
(22:27):
But you know what, I think they're a real deal.
Look at their schedule. They don't put no more ranked
as of today the rest of the year. So got
picked the team. Seriously, man, if you look at all
the books, Fernando Mendoza's top three in every Heisman odds
right now, So I like his chances.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
You know what, what's that I think that Mark Gunnald's
is gonna graduate college congratulations. Hey, I'm with you. This
is Indiana. This is not a fluky last year. They
they got going right and now look where they are.
And normally in baseball, the Mendoza line isn't a good thing.
You want to hit above the Mendoza baseball exactly. Everybody's
(23:09):
hitting below them, then Thost, But I'm with you, Mark,
what a quarterback for that team and what he's been
able to do, and the numbers speak for themselves. How
is he not involved? That university just had that program
their biggest win.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
Ever yet, right Yo, without a doubt that that's a
huge for them. I'm gonna say that you are still
in school, mar I think he's absolutely in a running
I think absolutely in the conversation, I'm not I'm not
mad at that, but I still think people are big
on Miami. People love the idea of Miami being back,
and I think that has Carson Beck right now just
(23:44):
maybe being the leader. They're playing great football. They've been
playing great football for a couple of seasons now, and
I think just the idea of having such a massive
school you mentioned Indiana, we think basketball, we think football
with Miami having them back, having big games in Carson
Beck performing. But but but you're right, give him a
little bit more time. Mendoza could mess around to be
in there, but right now it's Carson Beeck for me.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
College kids here on the odd couple talking Big ten
football with Mark gunnells Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, number two.
Here Michigan is struggling right now.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
Why you look at me?
Speaker 6 (24:16):
You know, I saw what happened over the weekend, but
it was not good as a result, Mark says charl Moore.
You're not that guy, Pal, You're not that guy here
for Big Blue.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Right now, man, Mark, right now, I'll take Shamar Moore.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
I'm just saying, go ahead, CSI season forty nine.
Speaker 10 (24:32):
I think I have a good reputation on here as
far as these coaches go in the Big ten. But uh,
Sharon Moore, I mean he took over. It was a
hard position, right You're the first guy after they won
the national championship with John Harball. You're at Michigan one
of the top five prestidious programs in college football, and
I just don't think it's been very successful. I mean,
(24:54):
year one doing eight and five, right now you're four
and two. You had a suspension earlier in the year
before the USC gang. We're talking about how the college
seem is gonna be sold out because of Michigan's in town,
and then get your butt loooked. I mean, I just
don't like the direction of going in right now. You
got the number one quarterback out of high school, Bryce Underwood.
(25:15):
He's been underperforming, and I don't think that's gonna be
very uh. Look, I's gonna be very fond upon for
the lums. The people are paying the nils and stuff
like that. So I think the sea's getting hot there
in ann Arbor.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Man, Oh, it's getting hot in here.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
You are graduating. My friend Nay always congratulations. As a
person born and raised in an Ouvre, it is hard
for me to admit, but I think the biggest thing
right now is it's one thing if you know, nobody
expects you to win the national championship kind of year
after year. But the one thing they've looked bad for
years and even at times with Jim Harball, they just
ran the ball well offensively.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
When can they become dynamic offensively? Right?
Speaker 5 (25:54):
And that's what they need And he was part of
being an offensive coordinator for some time, so you would
expect all the cool. Now it's his show, you will
start to see that, and they just cannot get the
offense going year after year.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
And I think that's what makes it look as bad.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
You can lose a game or two, but is that
they cannot get the offense going. And last year they
were being teams where they literally passed the ball like
six times. What is this Navy and nineteen Navy Army
nineteen fifty eight. So I agree with you on this.
Good it's getting toasty for him. Mark, you are graduating
with honored now.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
I always say.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Congratulations, and I'm with you. You need more from more
and you haven't.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Gotten it, and that they definitely can look to upgrade
the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Quarterback, Michigan.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Quarterback, right, I like Christood No, no, no, no, no, yea yeah,
coach coach, Yeah, because.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Michigan, I think gave him the handoff thinking that you
can kind of roll on. But I still always think
that they're underhanded a little bit because of what they
knew the issues were coming with the Jim harball team
and what was coming down. So we'll give the brother
the team all right now, and then we try We
gave it to it. I'm just saying. I'm just saying
(27:06):
I'm sorry to be that way.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
And we gave my brother a chance. Oh Aaron Rodgers
mad at somebody?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
What next? Aaron Rodgers tried to do the flea flicker spectacularly.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
He flicked it down on the ground like I ain't
getting might tackling me.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Yelling at his running back, and nobody likes Aaron Rodgers anymore.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Robbed, all right, last one.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
It's all over now, college kids.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
Mark Gunnell's here with the couple talking big tank college football.
It's only fitting that we closed this segment talking about
the best damn team in the land, the hottest team
in America, the team that Mark missed so badly that
he's got to do a Mia Cope on the u
c l A fighting.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
For me wrong, he said all in the pall.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
He was so right that he ended up being wrong. Later,
Mark explain yourself.
Speaker 10 (27:50):
Yeah, I mean I want to apologize, but it's a
very weird apology, right because I said that Deshaun Foster
wasn't gonna make it. He got fired, But if he
did last, I think they stilluld have been winless. And
I said they would be winless, and you know what,
I'll take it on the chance. And we went through
the schedules a few weeks ago and Rob was like,
what about the Maryland games? They won two games.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
Maryland?
Speaker 10 (28:14):
This week they win three games in a row.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
He could be Maryland right now.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Yes, we'll go ahead, we'll rock go ahead.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Yeah, uh you do? Oh uh? An apology to U.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
C l A.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
So for that, I'm gonna say that you are not
graduate cool.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
You got that one wrong. You were right on the
coach and he wasn't gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
But to say that they weren't going to win a
game because things turned around very quickly.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Ask James Franklin, who's looking for a job now.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
Yeah, you sophomore. But it's because you were so right.
You messed around and made him good. Now because you
got rid of the head coach you talk about, somebody
has to be a little embarrassed. Deshaun Foster has to
be sitting here thinking like, Okay, was I usually sometimes
you get away situation wasn't me.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
It was this.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
It was that, it was the circumstance. He's gonna be like,
maybe it was me as soon as he's gone. They
actually looked like some very valid and really good team.
So you were wrong by being right. Blame yourself.
Speaker 10 (29:12):
I know, right, and they beat Penn State. I couldn't
believe they'd bet Penn State.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
It's Penn State. Baltimore. Ravens Now where like maybe they
weren't as good as we thought.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Hey, and you know how much money was lost?
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Like or like seriously, ain't no way anybody think that
UCLA coming off of coach firing right right and never
had a lead all year and they they blow out
Penn State or be Penn State.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
And Penn State ain't been right since.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
No.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
We done broke LeVar Arrington, we broke Michael Parsons, and
we got James Franklin fire.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
No doubt there you go. Wait, what do you mean,
you people?
Speaker 4 (29:46):
You know what you want with all this? You people
you used to be with us.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
That's right?
Speaker 5 (29:50):
And Marton, thank you buddy, great job, appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Hey, thanks for having me, no doubt.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
Still three to one, Dodgers up right now, three to
one as we are in the U eight ten, top
of the eighth right now.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
Continue to keep you updated on this one.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Man.
Speaker 5 (30:07):
I tell you, I think that uh what an he
was at the sixth might have broken the back back
of the Brewers.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Brewers need a bloop in the blast real quick, otherwise
this is going to be.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
I mean, they got the Dodgers' bullpen. But now this
a little bit of confidence going on, with the Dodgers.
Uh in the bullpen right now. We'll keep you updated
on that one as well. On the way though, we

heard you, I heard you what I heard what you said?
All right, it is shops like you're on the ocaple
Fox Sports Radio saying, we talk about someth happing outside
of the world is sports And this week we're cheating
because I'm gonna throw the lob Chris Paul to Blake,
Griffin styles to another and Kelvin.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
All right, so we're doing the Icy Hot Bowl in
honor of are combined sixty two and sixty seven year
old quarterbacks that are playing right now, Joe waka Flocka
Flacco and also Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
So we're going old school here now.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Aaron Rodgers first year in the NFL was two thousand
and five, but obviously Joe Flacco wasn't there yet. Floco
Walka Floco came in two thousand and eight. So I said,
when they both were finally in the league, what was
happening in the world in America in two thousand and eight.
So I'm gonna throw some things out at you, you guys,
if you can see we had a black president that
was one of them, right there, Dan, come on, you
(33:34):
already got one was gonna say who was the president
in two thousand and eight?
Speaker 4 (33:37):
It was Barack Obama back then?
Speaker 5 (33:40):
All right, big conversation this election cycle last year twenty
twenty four was about the price of eggs, probably some
milk groceries. That was a huge thing. So let's go
back in the DELOREU in two thousand and eight. How
much was the average price across the country? Average price
a gallon of milk two thousand and eight.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
You don't got to.
Speaker 6 (34:03):
Write it down, rob, it's an audio medium.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Well, I'm not running it. Okay, what's the answer, man?
Don't you supposed to get anybody? But he has the answer?
So the price?
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Yeah, milk two thousand and eight, back when these two
quarterbacks were both initially.
Speaker 12 (34:17):
Okay, price of milk was average around the country for
a quart of milk coast to gallon typical.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
I know you're a milk guy. You have your milk
to put yourself to sleep.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
In, say twenty nine.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
All right, bad, this is what I guess I could do.
Prices right style, Manzi, I.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Don't even know what gallon a gallon of milk costs today.
I'm gonna guess two dollars today. I don't. I don't
drink box right over far, I don't drink milk. Rob
g Alex one seven. Okay, that sounds like you cheated.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
He needs Rod Parker's our winter. It was three eighty,
believe it?
Speaker 5 (34:51):
Eighty?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, where are y'all shopping at? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Three eighty?
Speaker 4 (34:57):
That's all erewin.
Speaker 5 (34:58):
People not even say it, right, Manti, did you know
black cows give out chocolate milk? Don't do that because
it's still some kids who young kids who go to
my daughters and be like, are they chocolate?
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Blue?
Speaker 4 (35:11):
Black girl chocolate? Let's come here, let me see, Like,
oh lord, that's gotta be right right.
Speaker 5 (35:16):
We all like to do this, boy, we used to
do it a lot more. Two thousand and eight. That
was go to movies, average price and Rob, you were
doing this because you were going on dates. I was
going on dates back yeah, back then, you were going
on dates. So you should get this one right. I
was divorced. I was really movie and movies was a
big thing back scene.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
You know what I mean. It's dark in the theater.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Average price for a movie ticket Circle two thousand and eight.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
We mopped the floors every night.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Oh what you think, Oh, go ahead, MANCHI got an idea.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
I feel like it was maybe around fourteen fifty.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
Okay, Robbi, Well, now I know that it's going to
be higher than what I expected. I was gonna get
eight something. I'm gonna guess eleven seventy five.
Speaker 7 (35:59):
My fellow Marikins America, America, I will give you justice.
I'm gonna say.
Speaker 5 (36:07):
Ten twenty alright, twelve fifty rob G Actually yeah, rob G,
exact day.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Why y'all think it was that much? Twenty almost twenty
years is seven eighteen.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Seven eight milf a ticket could when I was in college.
Maybe the theater I was going to was very pricey.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
What do you think the top grossing movie was. I'll
give you a clue.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
It's been It's a franchise in and there's been several
and it's uh mentioned impossible.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
No, but I like where you got.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
Comic book Dark Knight, Iron Man Dark Knight.
Speaker 7 (36:43):
I'm not looking at anything.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
No, that was a great one two thousand and eight
box office results.
Speaker 7 (36:47):
Yeah, I'm just looking.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
I was looking at too, cheating.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
I didn't she that sounds like cheating, didn't she?
Speaker 4 (36:55):
No?
Speaker 3 (36:55):
That was that got you on YouTube? Looking at the
computer right on YouTube.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
That's to me. We got I don't look like we
got them cameras. You know that right now?
Speaker 3 (37:04):
That who is that me?
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Rob? Alex? This one is for you.
Speaker 5 (37:08):
What was the top one of the watch you stay
away from that computer? Yeah, well this reminds me of
Tyson's Tower Tribune and you, Alix, that's coming up. We
gotta Yeah, everybody gets to see. Now you hold Alex,
hold on, I'm doing I'm doing. Hey, Alex, it'll be
a ball. He'll be bouncing it.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
Alex.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Round.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Yeah, I bet it is a ball. Topic.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
Last one, Real Quick top rated show two thousand and
eight TV show. Yeah, give you a clue. It was
not a network show, so it was. It was a
cable show. The Sopranos two thousand No, no, no.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Game of Thrones. It was not a network show.
Speaker 7 (37:56):
Two thousand and eight. Was it animated?
Speaker 4 (37:59):
No, you are. You're gonna go, robbin And I'll give
you a clue. It's a guess. Drugs were.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Drugs were a big thing Baltimore, No seventh, there you.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Go, there you go. I know you all socks. That
was like three years ago. Manti so trivia is terrible.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yeah, I know I don't do trivia.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
The Monty Weekend show trivia that Ian put together. He
thought Tycher Tower at trivia was yeah surprising.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
See, okay, I've not meant for that. I've not meant
for thinking on the spot.
Speaker 5 (38:37):
Yeah, and gas prices back then were like still they're
still high three something back then as well.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
So that's your.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
Icy hot bowl for these two ancient quarterbacks who are
still playing right now?
Speaker 3 (38:48):
What is the score still seven? Nothing's having nothing?
Speaker 14 (38:50):
But I didn't cheat, by the way, but I am
looking up top grossing movies in two thousand and eight.
That was the last good Will Smith movie, Hancock, by
the way.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
Now they't like that, like everybody else did that wasn't
that wasn't everybody else liked that one a little bit
more than I did.
Speaker 10 (39:03):
You like it?
Speaker 4 (39:04):
Nah?
Speaker 5 (39:04):
And then you know people you rewatch stuff and you're like,
oh no, that was actually pretty good.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
Still wasn't good to me?
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Interesting never came around. I am legend got better and better.
I Robot got better and better as well. Legend for sure.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
Yeah, that's a that's an interesting one.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
Will Smith's discuh filmography, like is it lit?
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Is it solid? Or is it nah?
Speaker 3 (39:23):
All of them, all of the above.
Speaker 6 (39:26):
He was ahead of the curve though, yeah, like you
doing the like handcock, ahead of all the superhero movies,
like he knew what was coming.
Speaker 3 (39:33):
He's picked the wrong one.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
The big time wrong one, one we don't never need
to see again, like Kiggot and never see it again.
Is there a chance we won't see one of the
bigger rivalries in college football?
Speaker 3 (39:41):
We'll tell you about that next odd couple, Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 7 (39:44):
Smith picked a bad wife too,
