unless I was able to serenade the great country of Canada.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Hold and thank you for the fore one.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
Let me take my headphone, yes and uh yes before
first pitch, let me sing, uh, oh Canada, here.
Speaker 7 (02:11):
We go, Oh can our home man, name of land,
true Pagetrian.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Line in all.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Of fos come man.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
With close we.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Heart, flee see the rod the North, strong and free.
Speaker 8 (02:46):
From far.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
And why o Canada, we stand dog God for the
here we go kill Vicky, Oh boy, God, keep Farlane where.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
We're doing the whole thing cool.
Speaker 9 (03:04):
Safrey, Oh Canada, we stand dog God for.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
They come to big finish.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Okay, all.
Speaker 9 (03:20):
Canada, we stand gone gone.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yes, yes, yes, sir God.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
I think our fans in Toronto and Canada, and you
know what, there you go my love for that national anthem.
Obviously working in Detroit, Okay, working in Detroit for those
twenty years, and you know, as close to Windsor, Canada
is right a tunnel and bridge ride away from the
(03:56):
United States right there, and covering so much many games,
hockey games in Detroit during those twenty years. I got
to hear Old Canada a million times. You know where
most people don't get to hear it unless you go
on to hockey.
Speaker 10 (04:10):
That's a good point. All the time in hockey and
you went what'd you say, one season you went to
for one or something.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
I went to.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Thirty eight of the forty one home games at Joe
Louis Arena, and whenever the Canadian teams are in, they
play both national anthems.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
So I used to hear it all the time. Got
to love it.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I know I can't sing, but I wanted to honor
the great country of Canada.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Did you honor them with that vocal performance?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Because they know that.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yes, I mean they don't think I'm a professional singer.
I'm a talk show host. That's all.
Speaker 10 (04:43):
Well, listen, if you ever need to leave this country,
maybe you have second citizens, you said, you know citizens,
you can go over there, maybe a citizen of Toronto.
Or where'd you like Vancouver? Where's the where's the spot
you like? Montreal?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Montreal? Montreal? Yes, Montreal, Toronto, those are the two. I
have not been to Vancouver yet. That's somewhere I do
want to get to.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
All right.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
We had some shakeup. We saw last night. Lamar twenty
eight to seven the Ravens. What he have seventy two
percent completion right, Kelvin four touchdowns and you said it
we talked.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Earlier today like he's out in the backyard like.
Speaker 10 (05:22):
Its older brother playing with the little brothers friends, where
you're just like, now you can't play, you know what,
You're too good. That's what Lamar looks like.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
When he just looks easy when he's throwing the football
around and whatnot. And anyway, it was another loss for
the Miami Dolphins, and then Shade it were changes that
happened today when we woke up with the Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (05:47):
So the Dolphins are probably the only team that make
me happy to be a Browns fan, which is very
hard to do.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (05:53):
So this morning, team owners Stephan Ross announce the decision
Friday to mutually part ways with longtime general manager midway
through his tenth season in the role, roughly twelve hours
after the dolphins twenty six loss to the Baltimore Ravens
at hard Rock Stadium, dropping the record to two and seven.
Speaker 12 (06:08):
What do you guys think about this firing?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
All right? Rob?
Speaker 10 (06:11):
For me is this is at to quote my good
friend Rob Parker, this is easy. Mike mcdane the GM fine,
Chris gear had a good run of ten years. He
was down for what since twenty sixteen?
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Ye have been twenty years?
Speaker 10 (06:25):
Yeah, have been very loyal to the guy, right, Yeah, absolutely,
you had a good run, and I we know all
good things must come to it end.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Specifically, I'm a way that to the side.
Speaker 10 (06:35):
And I'm gonna say, Mike McDaniels and I talked about
this the beginning of the season with you.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
It's just time for him to go. And it's not
as if he's he reminds me of a Josh McDaniels.
Speaker 10 (06:47):
Maybe he'll get another head coaching job, but maybe ultimately
as well, he's just made to be a really good
offensive coordinator somewhere and that's just where he's great and
that's where he thrives. A couple of reasons why I
say this, Rob every season is going to be great.
We know that that's just football, that's just any sport.
But a few things cannot be happening to me if
I'm a general manager or an owner of a team
(07:08):
in this case, watching my team. You can't be offensive
guru and our offensive tapable.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
That's number one.
Speaker 10 (07:16):
You can't be this young, offensive, brilliant mind in our
offense stinks. That can't happen because at least that could
be your saving grace. Because you also can't lose the
locker room, and we're doing the locker room has been bad.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
The let toxic, the all the reports coming out.
Speaker 10 (07:31):
We're hearing this. We're hearing that guys don't like it.
Guys aren't showing up to meetings. Guys are just leaving meetings.
Star players are doing this as well, not like some randos,
the big time names are leaving. This is why they
ship Jayleen Ramsey out of there. And then you're beefing
with the quarterback who I've given the whole entire brink
struck two. So I can't just get rid of him
because he's been poohpool as well. I wish I could,
(07:53):
but it'll be too difficult right now. I'd have to
figure out a way. So you and the quarterback are beefing.
Your feuding the locker room's great, and what's happening off
the field on the field is bad as well. So
at what point, Rob, do I have something to hang
my hat on with you? We're not scoring, we look
awful on the field. You and the quarterback don't get along.
(08:15):
The locker room's broken. What do I and you haven't
been a successful winning They haven't won games or two
and whatever right now and five and they're only two
in the postseason or name, but they.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Have made the postseason. You're acting like they haven't even
made they made the post.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
Let me tell you something about that. I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
I'm just saying.
Speaker 10 (08:34):
This team hadn't won a postseason game since twenty six years,
the longest trout in the NFL, and they've only been
to the postseason four times in twenty three years.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Even the Lions can laugh at that.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Blame Don Trula, the late Great.
Speaker 10 (08:47):
I'm sorry they get Don shuld rolling around is graave
at you right now. So while I'm saying I believe
he can get He'll get a second chance somewhere at
some point.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
He's only forty two years old. But right now it's
just time to move on.
Speaker 10 (08:58):
Its sign to blow the whole thing and figure and
find out what your next thing is.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Because it looks awful.
Speaker 10 (09:04):
Tools regressed, the offense regrets that's what they're supposed to
hang their hat, and that's not the case. Nobody believes
in him. The locker room's broken, Your leaders are leaving
the team. Your leaders are broken, Your Tyreek Hill is
a terrible situation.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Ramsey, now to it.
Speaker 10 (09:18):
I think it's just he's he won't He may last
a year, he won't make next year.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
I don't see that happening.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I don't have a problem with the idea of keeping
the coach till the end of the year. And I'm
gonna say this, I agree it's time to make a move.
But there's so much that goes into it with coaching.
And here's the other scary part, and I do get it.
Sometime when you put an introm in players, you win
(09:48):
a couple of meaningless games the seasons over players. We
saw this and where we saw this in Oakland didn't we.
I mean in Las Vegas, the players rallied around and
Tonio peers. We want Antonio Piers to be the guy.
And what happened? Ownership they cave in because they had
(10:09):
they bought in an introm right, they won a few games,
they related to them and did that work out with
Antonio Piers?
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Do you see what I'm saying?
Speaker 5 (10:20):
Where is it? Bike?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Whereas I would rather let them finish out the string.
We don't have to go change and hire all new
coaches or do all this kind of crazy enough and
change everything and then we'll do a real search, go
find us a coach and whatever. The GM part, I
understand why they want to part ways.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
Now there's work to be done.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
We need, we need guys to get ready to pick
players for next year and the draft and all that.
And that's why I understand. Let's get you know, let's
get him out of here. We don't want them pick
any more players for us. We don't like the roster
that we have, so we want to start on that
because before the next season comes around, the draft will
(11:07):
be here faster.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 10 (11:09):
I do, But the only thing I'll I'll throw it
that makes this strange rop is that they got four
days till the trade deadline, so they could have waited
five six days.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
No, they don't want him to They don't want him
to have anything to do with personnel.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
And that's why I'm just saying, because we don't want you.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
To know what's bad. When they say get out the door,
you know, right before the trade been there forever.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Look at that first batter, Old Tawny strikes out to
lead off the game.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
I just just you're a little ahead of me, my
little streaming. I saw. I just saw it right now.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, the first two strikes and then right and then
he got him on a.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Two two pick.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
Let me let me tell you something about Tony. One thing.
I gotta admit when he strike out, that looked it
looks bad.
Speaker 10 (11:52):
I ain't go lie, hey, Shade, that's our man.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
But when he strike out, it looks half.
Speaker 12 (11:59):
Line everywhere, like pumping it.
Speaker 11 (12:01):
You could see the sweat flying off of him and
like it just looks like he's trying to throw the bat.
Speaker 10 (12:05):
He didn't got on he didn't got on his knees, knees.
I thought he was closing to somebody.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
But we've seen him strike out a lot postseason. My goodness, gracious,
so they mixed it up.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
We just saw Will Smith.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, movie has been knocked down to fourth.
Speaker 10 (12:21):
Yep, yeah, watching watching my three run home run or something?
Speaker 12 (12:26):
Yeah, good luck center field.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
Hey, don't do that now, you know you need MLB?
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Bro, And.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Rojas hasn't had a hit since Win, has had since September.
Speaker 10 (12:40):
You know who is that thing? What was the main
star in a major league the catcher?
Speaker 5 (12:48):
That's who? Like ya? Wait me?
Speaker 11 (12:52):
Did you guys see the picture or the video of
Rojas last game because that was his last home game?
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Yeah? Yeah, he stood out there here.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
He was in the dug out for a long time
after realized that might be which, okay.
Speaker 10 (13:06):
All right, go ahead, Well last point, real quick, real quick, Rod,
Did you see that video of Dave.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
Roberts running around the base? Yeah? Is that good or bad?
Is that an omen or?
Speaker 10 (13:15):
Is that they're finally gonna loosen up, have some fun
and just let the bats fly today?
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Which? Which what side are you on? Shay and Bro?
Speaker 12 (13:26):
I don't even want to know.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
It's fun. I had no issue with that.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
You can't walk around on eggshells like you can't laugh
and that I just seed it that. Yeah, and that
was you remember that with Dave Roberts was big when
the Red Sox came back, he stole that.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
Base that whole series. He was still in basis.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah, that was a huge part of his career and
that moment for him.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
And you remember that.
Speaker 10 (13:49):
You remember that era in baseball Rode when they used
to do things called still in basis.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Well, they're doing it now. Remember last year old Tony
stole fifty. I mean they'll they're stealing more now.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
But and what did you used to say about them?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Well they were phony because he's sliding in the pizza boxes.
Get anyway, all right, hey, chaye, last thing on to
and then we're gonna take some calls eighty seven, seven
ninety nine on five before.
Speaker 12 (14:08):
We move on from the Dolphins topic.
Speaker 11 (14:10):
Do you think this if, if anything that you guys
have been saying does happen and they end up firing
McDaniels or they end up getting rid of everyone at
the end of the season, does Tuus still have a
chance in this league?
Speaker 4 (14:21):
Of course he does. First of all, he's got a
big contract.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
And that's gonna keep him around.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
That's gonna keep him around. They just can't cut him
or release him, so don't. I don't.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
I don't think two is going anywhere unless they can
make a trade with somebody. I just think financially, you notice, Kelvin,
when you sign those deals, you're locked in.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
You just you just are another And not to.
Speaker 10 (14:43):
Mention, I think too someone's gonna say, I like to
when I put him in the right situation.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Right, we saw him scoring seventy points. Didn't we see him.
Speaker 12 (14:52):
Scoring seventy on the Broncos tears ago.
Speaker 10 (14:54):
Some quarterback guru is gonna say, and when everything is
perfect with it, you know his time. I mean, he
got the right receivers. This guy can be accurate, because
that's his biggest strength. He's accurate. So they'll say, I
can fix him. You got always happens. I can fix him.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
All right.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on FOXD the Dolphins do
the right thing, which was fire the GM and keep
the coach or they both need to be fired.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Where are you? I think they did the right thing.
No intro.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
We don't want anybody to get connected with one of
these guys and and want them to stick around and
have players lobbying for him to be the head coach
next year, or like Kelvin, you think they all both
should have been broomed out together. And enough with Mike McDaniel,
we'll take your phone calls. Next, it is the Odd
Couple on a funky Flashback Friday, Rob Parker, kelvin Washington,
(15:46):
right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
And you know what you need to do, stick.
Speaker 7 (15:49):

I'm fake.

Speaker 10 (16:46):
Before we get to the calls with Kick Rob, Jeorge
Springer's leading off for the Blue Jays.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
What you making at If he's health then he's in
a lineup that's his spot. I guess, I mean.
Speaker 10 (16:58):
I mean you think he's he's healthy. I was selling Chay.
I know he was out and he was injured. I said, look,
they look at it as if we win this and sober.
He's the type of guy he might only go one
for four, but that one could be a home run
or a big time Don't.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
You remember the game that he had the big three
run on Urt Gibson moment, right when I said, oh,
they should take him out. Remember he looked so awful,
was first ap bad And I said it to you.
I was like, maybe maybe they got to take him
out because he looks so awful and he want to
be in the big home run.
Speaker 10 (17:26):
I was like, this could be his Kirk Gibson moment.
He had that That was that and end I don't
know what Max Muntsey, I don't know what that.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
That was an era at third base. I mean he
missed the ball and then.
Speaker 5 (17:35):
You and I were just talking off the air.
Speaker 10 (17:37):
You were saying, you know, he's not the best third base,
third baseman he.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Has He's in momentary like what was that? All right?
Speaker 10 (17:44):
Sean King on the way, We're talking some football with
him right now. Eight seven, seven ninety nine one Fox
take a few calls just about the Dolphins and the
dumpster fire that they are. Now they fired the GM Greer.
Should they have fired McDaniels. I say yes, Rob says,
keep him through the end of the year.
Speaker 5 (17:57):
What say you? Who?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
We got Jason in Florida. You're on the couple Fight
Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
What's up Jason?
Speaker 8 (18:04):
Hey, guys here we doing.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
What's up? Jason?
Speaker 8 (18:08):
I just have a question.
Speaker 13 (18:09):
Why is sports, and particularly the NFL, is the sunken
cost fallacy? So accepted the idea that you put so
much money into something that you have to keep doing
it because eventually you're going to be due for, like
a good investment that's gonna Well.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
It's not everybody, because we saw that with Russell Wilson
in Denver, they bit the bullet.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
They did, so it has been done. I mean some teams.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Will be willing to do it, but for the most part,
most teams, once you make that financial commitment, you don't
want to do it because it's gonna if you don't
have a quarterback, or you don't have a rookie quarterback
like they were able to do in Denver, you know
what I mean, where he's not making any money and
you can kind of offset it, but it puts you
in a real tough spot. Jason, that's all it can
(18:56):
be done.
Speaker 13 (18:57):
Yeah, I mean I understand, you know, you can't trade
him because who's gonna take on that big contract and
it's more financially viable just to keep them all.
Speaker 14 (19:05):
But why do you why do you have to play on?
Speaker 13 (19:07):
I mean, I know Quinn Ewers is and isn't the
best quarterback, but I mean it's still some day.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
Hey, he should be making forty million dollars not playing.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Is that what you want to do there?
Speaker 5 (19:18):
Right?
Speaker 8 (19:18):
And it's going to continue to stink.
Speaker 13 (19:20):
He's gonna get paid regardless whether or not he plays.
Speaker 10 (19:22):
No, Listen, you're you're not wrong, but you're wrong, meaning
your ideology isn't. But their thought process is, well, daggan,
I'm gonna get my money's worth. You're gonna go out
there and take these licks, throw these interceptions.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
Shoot, you might look so bad.
Speaker 10 (19:36):
It makes it easier for me to have to sitch
bench or some god can say, look, I gave me shot.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
Like how bad he was. But they don't want to
waste money.
Speaker 10 (19:42):
And also to a lot of these owners ships groups,
they aren't interested, like they don't want to put up
some of the money if they can get away with
some of the things and the attempt to win, but
don't have to go all in. I think that's one
of the great things people understand. Not all these owners
are going all out to try to win. It's a
handful that are a okay with their situation because the
NFL is still printing out money for them.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
All right, thanks Jason, appreciate it. O'Neil in Canada, you're
on the couple of sports radio.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
What's up, O'Neil, Hey, guys, first time, long time.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Appreciate you. My man starts calling in Man, we really appreciate.
Speaker 14 (20:21):
It, all right, think well, I'll be really quick.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
The thing here, the thing with the GM is.
Speaker 9 (20:27):
He started in two thousand as a scout for them, yep, Captain.
Speaker 14 (20:30):
Loyalty, and kept getting promoted.
Speaker 10 (20:33):
And then he became GM So I'm just I feel
bad about him having, you know, twenty.
Speaker 14 (20:37):
Five year run with one franchise.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Yeah, no, that's an incredible that's actually a good run.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah, especially especially when they haven't been making the playoffs,
you know, with enough regularity to feel good about it.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
So Steven Ross kept him around.
Speaker 14 (20:52):
So I feel sad for them firing that brother. But
that brother worked there for twenty five.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Years, you know, so yeah, what it is, and they
paid him out and kicked him out.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
How you feel me tonight about the Blue Jays real quick,
I'm feeling good.
Speaker 13 (21:07):
I'm just praying, yeah, and.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
Then the Evil Empire can have next year, but let
us have this year.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (21:16):
I was liking him until he said that.
Speaker 10 (21:18):
Well, you know what, I don't know what God he prays,
so I don't know if he's praying to the Justin
Fields God. I'm quoting what Rob said one episode is
are they the new Evil Empire?
Speaker 14 (21:29):
Right?
Speaker 4 (21:30):
So they are?
Speaker 1 (21:32):
It's not the Yankees anymore. I don't even think what
do the Yankees have the third highest payroll. It was
like the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees. Rights Mets had a higher
payroll than the Dogs.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
The Yankees. Better cut it out. I don't know what
we're gonna do a.
Speaker 10 (21:45):
Lot now, thanks, I don't know. I don't know how
Starve Brenner. It's the Dodgers. Man gotta relax spending on
his money set.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Let's do it real quick. Ran in Dallas. You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
What's up, Brian, heyy brother, Hey, y'all doing tonight? Doing great, great, Parker.
Speaker 8 (22:06):
I gotta tell you, Rod get dead wrong on this,
but I think it's only because you forgot a few
things right listening. First of all, the first of all,
the fact that they're holding on, like y'all just mentioned,
they held onto the GM, this.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Loan, the coach, the coach, they fired the GM this morn.
Speaker 8 (22:22):
Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 14 (22:23):
He wasn't with the GM.
Speaker 8 (22:24):
They did, like y'all, y'all talked about his tenure. You
know how long he was with the team. So they
didn't just say, yeah, they don't make quick moves. But
yet when they came to flare As, this is like
validating everything Flora said. They show got him out of
there quick, right, and they it was a much better
coach than McDaniel. Here's here's the deal. I'm trying to
say this what I'm jumping to my point too quickly.
(22:46):
I don't just not like McDaniel. I think he's a weasel, okay.
And here's why we all saw, just like y'all are
forgetting about this man. Tour is ruined. We all saw
on Sunday when this young man, this human being, somebody's son,
stun them off the field with a concussion, and this coach,
(23:08):
who has never taken an NFL or even probably college
or high school gift in his life, covered it up.
And they ran him back out there on a Thursday
and he was laying their catacatic and he hadn't been
the same sex and this week I believe to the
weakness of the nfl PA because they should have raised enough,
you know what, to get him up out of here.
(23:28):
I don't like the man.
Speaker 14 (23:29):
I see.
Speaker 8 (23:29):
Players don't trust him either.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
He got to go Okay, hey, that's valid. But I
think you're right.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
About the Players Association's That's one of the biggest issues
is that they don't have any power real it's bad,
and they don't care about the player's health. I say
that with true conviction. I don't believe they care. I don't.
They want to make as much money as they can,
pay the players as little as they can. That's what
(23:56):
they not have to pay health care, terrible pension, and
all the NFL does is print money. That's what happens.
We gotta go. Thanks for the call.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
We appreciate the call.
Speaker 14 (24:05):
You.
Speaker 10 (24:05):
We gotta go, everybody, thank you for the call. As always,
good stuff. Sean King on the way right now, we
got Steve Seger gonna get you set on what's turning.
Speaker 15 (24:14):
Game six of the World Series is underway at Toronto, scoreless,
top of the second on Fox TV. Yoshinobu Yamamoto the
LA starter against the Blue Jays Kevin Gosman, who is
dealing already that splitter is not getting touched. He struck
out all three batters in the first. In the second,
he got a Mookie Bats ground out. Bets moved down
to fourth in the lineup for tonight. Then he struck
(24:34):
out the next hitter. Blue Jay's up three games to
two in the World Series. Blue Jays DH George Springer
did return let off tonight, seemed to be struggling with
the health at the plate. He had injured himself on
a swing and missed a couple of games this week.
Boba Schatt batting cleanup tonight and playing second base. The
Dolphins parted ways with general manager Chris Greer, but head
coach Mike McDaniel will stay for this year at least.
(24:57):
Miami is two and seven career had worked for the
doll since two thousand. Miami's twenty five years without a
playoff win is the longest active streak in the NFL.
The forty nine Ers will start quarterback Mac Jones again.
Quarterback brock Perty is questionable with a tow injury, and
wide receiver for San Francisco Ricky Piersoll is out again
with his knee injury. Quarterback for the Falcons, Michael Pennix
(25:19):
will start this weekend. He's off the injury report as
our Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Quarterback of the Panthers,
Bryce Young after his sprained ankle, will start this weekend.
He's off the injury report, and backup quarterback Andy Dalton
listed as questionable with a thumb injury. Washington quarterback Jayden
Daniels will return Sunday night after a hamstring injury. Commander's
(25:40):
wide receiver Terry McLaurin is out he reaggravated his quad
injury last game. Quarterback of the Cardinals Kyler Murray was
still limited in practice today foot injury. Bears running back
DeAndre Swift out this weekend with a groin injury. In
the NHL today, Colorado a four to two winner at
Vegas to the NBA. Luka Doncic back for the Lake tonight.
(26:00):
They start up in an hour at Memphis. He's been
out this week with a sprain finger, and Bruce leg
Anthony Davis of Dallas will miss at least two games
with a string CAF. His team plays in Mexico City
tomorrow night. The late game tonight, we'll have the Clippers
hosting a New Orleans team that's lost for in a row.
Philadelphia is four and oh this season, but they're trailing
at home now. Boston seventy two sixty five over Philly
(26:23):
in the third quarter of play. So far, we've got
twenty one points from Jalen Brown of the Celtics, and
we do have college football tonight. Memphis at halftime ranked
twenty fifth is leading thirty one seven at Rice. Syracuse
now up ten to three on North Carolina early second quarter.
A Tar Heels loss would put them at h to
four in the acc Back to.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
You, all right, Steve, Thank you.
Speaker 10 (26:45):
I couple Robin Kelvin on a funky flashback Friday. As
and pants can keep sneaking up during the holiday hustle
and bustle, but to leave can help you forget the
pain and help you make some happy memories instead. With
just one pill, a lead provides up to twelve hours
of body pain relief so you can keep it moving
you just as directed. We're about to be down with
the King, that's right, Sean King, now, former NFL quarterback,
(27:08):
Fox Sports Radio NFL analyst Real Sean King on AX Sean,
what up, bro?
Speaker 14 (27:13):
All good in the hood? Baby? Oh?
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Du my man, I know Gosman is the dealing. My goodness, gracious, he's.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Struck he's dealing. Wow, y'all, y yoshi, nob we ain't
dealing well.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
He struck out five of the six people that he faced.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
That's why, man, they ain't they look off for.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Sean Am, I right, are you looking at five of
the first six he struck out.
Speaker 14 (27:36):
I'm watching it. It's gonna be a pictures duel. It
looks like tonight man. That is.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
If Sean picked the Blue Jays too like me.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
So, y'all both can be wrong. Take that all right, Sean? Uh? Well, actually,
because you are baseball got real quick?
Speaker 10 (27:52):
Any thoughts with any other thought on the game before
he moved to football?
Speaker 14 (27:56):
I have no other thoughts. I actually took uh to
third base one from the Dodgers month I took Monthy
to have a big game at the play and then
he struck out his first at bet So I think I'm.
Speaker 10 (28:07):
Wrong there, Okay, having a third base right now?
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Hey, let's go to Miami and what happened? Let's go
there first? Uh, general manager out, but the coach they
want to keep just to the rest of the rest
of the season, and then I'm sure he'll be out.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
What are you making at you?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Do you have been fired as well as the general
manager at the same time?
Speaker 14 (28:29):
I would say yes, But a lot of it comes
down to does it really matter. I mean, if they
fire him, he still gets paid. They're going to make
they make a guy an interim But I think the
whitings on the wall right, him and Greer were kind
of touching the hip. He was Greers higher. They both
checked the box off on tour contract extensions. So I
(28:50):
think ultimately it's gonna happen. But I'm not a big
fan of firing the coach mid season. I don't know
what that accomplishes.
Speaker 10 (28:57):
Yeah, I would let him go, but stand your point.
The season, but I'm just disappointed that offense. It'd be different,
you know, I liking it too, Fellas Dmiko Ryan the
offense is bad. We know they got the twenty eighth
rank offensive line, so c J. Straus wonning for his life,
but that defense has kept him in game for two
years now. And you can say, I know, Dimiko's are
your coach. We got to figure out this offense. McDaniels.
(29:18):
The offense is supposed to be what he does and
they they're terrible right now. Is the struggling only six
points last night? That's the disappointment for me, Sean, is
that at least if I can have something that I'm
hanging my hat on with him where I can say,
Dan get you know, if we get the defense right
or this nothing looks good locker room's messed up him
and two are beefed out, So nothing looks good to me.
Speaker 14 (29:38):
I just think McDaniel's was a bad hire, you know.
I think when you get caught up in lineage, you
have to make sure that the guy had the responsibility
that goes with the title. And even though McDaniel was
the OC in San Francisco, Shanahan calls those plays. But
I think because of the success mcvay's guys have had,
(30:00):
they thought it just would spill over. But obviously, me
and a head coach the National Football League, it's not
about scheme, it's not about play calling. It's about being
able to motivate men week in and week out, you know,
the chase of higher goal than just individual success. And
I think when you watch the Dolphins, that's probably where
McDaniel has failed the most.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
How about that seventy points when they scored a couple
of years ago?
Speaker 4 (30:23):
Was that two seasons ago?
Speaker 9 (30:25):
Right?
Speaker 1 (30:25):
One last year, one the year before on the season, Yeah,
what'd you make of that? Was that just an anomaly?
And or because at that time people looked at to
or looked at McDaniel, Well, yeah, like look at what
they got going well, I mean.
Speaker 14 (30:39):
Everybody has their knight, right, Like you go to the bar.
It's a bunch of you know, tins in there and
everything you say makes sense and make them laugh.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
That sounds yeah, that sounds like my nice mostly right.
Speaker 14 (30:49):
But not many guys and going there consistently and accomplish
the saying things. So I think they had their moment.
I think what they were running was kind of new
to the National Football League. You saw a lot of
success early, but as team's got more film, I think
you've seen it's harder to duplicate. You know, all of
the gimmick handoffs, misdirection, throw the ball in rhythm, on time,
(31:11):
the only way to create explosive plays. You see, it's
harder to do that, you know, once they get more, more,
more film on you. So he hadn't been able to adjust.
He hadn't been able to take the offense to the
next level, and that's why he gets stagnant a lot
of times. Plus, I just think they bought into the
wrong quarterback. I just think from a skill set, trenk
standpoint tour is so limited. You know, he just what
(31:34):
is he a lead at? I mean not size, not arm, talent,
not athleticism, you know, not even personality, like when you
hear him talk, he kind of alienates himself on the team.
So I just think they hit their They hits their
their training to the wrong wagon.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
All right, Kevin, let me just jump in here to
last night one more, one more. We saw Lamar Jackson
get back seventy completion four touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
What did you see last night? His first game back
for the.
Speaker 14 (32:00):
Ravens are dangerous? You know, I tell people this. You know,
seventeen games is a long season mathematically, look at what
the Ravens can still end up if they can get rolling.
So I was never one that kind of gave up
on the Ravens. I just think they needed a reset.
I think they got so many guys that are so accomplished,
that have already gotten big pay pay days. You get
a look complacent, and they got off the details. If
(32:21):
you go look at those losses, they were really the
better team for the majority of those games. They just
missmannings and mishandled the fourth quarters. So I don't know
if moving to ping Paul Tables with the magic touch,
but a lot more more focused now and they still
got one of the top three four Rosses in the
league one through twenty two.
Speaker 10 (32:40):
Yeah, hey, Sean King, our guests here in the oct
Cup of Robin Kelvin on a fucking flashback Friday.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
I want to stay in that same division.
Speaker 10 (32:47):
So big week for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sean, because they're
going to be hosting the Indianapolis Coults, who are seven
to one. Steelers four and three. They lose, they go
to four and four. What do you make of them?
Throughout the red win as a big win?
Speaker 5 (32:59):
Right? And this is that would be a big one
for sure.
Speaker 10 (33:02):
You got the Bengals who are out of this thing
all of a sudden with Joe Flacco. You got the
resurgence of the Ravens now with Lamar back. What do
you make of the Steelers in this game? This is
a big one for them.
Speaker 14 (33:12):
I think the Steelers are the Steelers right now. They
do this every year like kind of they're operating procedure.
You know, they over around four hundred, they win a
couple of games late, they end up nine to eight,
ten and seven, you know, depending on if it's sixteen
or seventeen game season, they're right there, you know. So
I don't think they're a complete team, I think the defense, Yeah,
(33:35):
their defense didn't playing at a high level. But to me,
the more gregious move was letting Pickings go. And I
know Pickings had his issues, but it really was their
lack of consistency at quarterback. I think they created them
because since he's got the Dallas with Dak and he's
getting the ball, you don't hear anything about Pickings off
the field.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
That's true.
Speaker 14 (33:53):
I think when you made the decision that you were
going with Rogers, which obviously they did way before the
deal was announced, based on how they are operated this
off season, but so how they operate their own draft day,
I think internally you should have said, let's see what
we can be with Pickings and DK Metcalf.
Speaker 10 (34:09):
Yeah, to be scary with Aaron Rodgers that would have
been a scary uh tandem.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
I know, real real quick Bills Chiefs. Just what are
you looking for in that game? Chiefs have been beating
up on some easy teams, the Bills. This should probably
be Should we look at this as some sort of
uh measuring stick for both teams?
Speaker 14 (34:28):
I think Bill's in a landslide. That's just because how
the NFL is. Every time we think we found the
team that's at the forefront of this season. They lay
an egg and I think the Bills coming. I think
they're coming off of buy. If I'm not mistaken, it's
in Buffalo. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills winning
comfortably by ten or more.
Speaker 10 (34:46):
Okay, all right, I disagree with you, Sean, but I
also get your point.
Speaker 5 (34:49):
Just when you're thinking to you.
Speaker 14 (34:50):
The Dodgers too.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
So there you go.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
You know that he can.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
I never wanted to just to wear so much in
my life. Now, all right, Sean, thank you brother, showing
a good weekend.
Speaker 10 (35:05):
All Right, we gotta talk about the Spurs and what
they did. They did something we've all enjoyed Wimby because
everyone knows it's Winby, but they were wild last night.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
We'll tell you what they did. It's the oct Couple
of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Speaker 10 (35:28):
So fucky Flashback Friday with your boys. It's the Odd Couple.
Rob Kevin keeping you updated as well. We got the
Game six of the World Series it's currently nothing, nothing.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
But seven strikeouts in the first eight outs of the
game for the Dodgers. But they got they got a
little thing going. They got something first and second, two outs.
Here's a chance. You need to hit with the runners
in scoring position.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
And we'll got with this on rob because this is
this is come on.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
Now, let's unbelievable.
Speaker 10 (36:00):
To be honest, people, the last two starting pictures for
the Blue Jays looked like Nothan Ryan and Sandy Coch combined.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
My god, what the heck?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Go three run home run, all double two runs. So
they finally get a two out. Oh he didn't score
this one?
Speaker 5 (36:21):
Why not?
Speaker 10 (36:23):
Wait a minute, only one because I'm a few seconds
behind you guys with the stream he.
Speaker 11 (36:27):
Went, that's crazy. He was farthest point. Oh my god,
what two outs? You're running and he.
Speaker 12 (36:33):
Hit that hard to Oh my god, who didn't score?
Speaker 4 (36:37):
Tony didn't score?
Speaker 12 (36:38):
Score?
Speaker 10 (36:39):
That was Oh they got to show the reap like
his run he could he must have stopped. Yeah he
was gonna stop.
Speaker 12 (36:47):
Yeah, yeah, there was two outs. He should have stopped.
Speaker 10 (36:49):
He's way too fast for that, Like you said, Max
Munty or something.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Wow, I thought for sure that was two runs.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
Wow, here, that's a waste.
Speaker 10 (36:58):
Did they only come away with one jack any day?
Speaker 5 (37:01):
All right?
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Well, at least they got on the board. My god,
because they struck out every time, and I finally got
to clutch it. Will Smith in the number two hole.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
Will Smith and Taoscar tonight.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Those are Will Smith's four for six were runners in
scoring position the Dodgers the rest of the team three
for twenty six.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
How about that?
Speaker 10 (37:18):
That's the guy him and Taoscar hernandez A, two guys
that I got my eye on today. You would think
it would be some o the other bigger names with
Tayoscar and Will the two guys when you know you
need but hey, So with that being said, we'll keep
an eye on this score, keep you updated to get
another run or not if Gosman gets out the inning
I brought up with me because the Spurs, he's been fantastic.
(37:40):
Everybody's talking about it in the rate of the NBA.
And the Spurs are now five and oh the first
time in the franchise history. Listen to how they they
reacted after going five and oh last night.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
You guys have set a franchise record tonight.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Five and no I'm defeated.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
You guys are living the dream right now?
Speaker 4 (38:01):
How does that feel? SOE's incredible.
Speaker 14 (38:04):
This is years off work for all of us, and
now we're finally trying to get the materity into get
actual wins.
Speaker 5 (38:10):
So it feels great. Rob all right, now, you know
everyone knows it's Winby. We're all in.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Everyone knows this swim.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
Boom boom boom. We know that.
Speaker 10 (38:23):
But Winby and the Spurs might be doing a little
bit too much right now. If you saw the clip
of it, the fans are still there, he's on the
MinC he's grabbing the Micah dress and the crowd, you
would feel like, Okay, they've won the Western Conference Finals,
are headed to the NBA Finals. Like that's what it
felt like. It felt like it's the They're five and zero,
which is huge. You wait the start of season with
(38:45):
a very very very young squad. But and my tripping,
are they doing a little too much?
Speaker 4 (38:50):
And they're doing too much?
Speaker 1 (38:51):
And here's the part that's crazy is this is a
franchise has won for five championships and they're acting brand
knew like all that Tim Duncan has done. Tim Duncan
won five out of six. He was a free throw,
a misfree throw away right or rebound?
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Yeah, right, right.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Right away from Tim Duncan being six and six, six
for six like Michael Jordan, and you're celebrating like you're
five and o to start an NBA season.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
Come on, they're better.
Speaker 10 (39:24):
I mean, if you see their fans ain't left the building.
They're they're like they're about to get the free T
shirts that said Western Conference champions. I mean they're going crazy.
He's on the mic. If I can do it, you
can do it. Every book can do it.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Hey, let's say this right here real quick. Yeah, Mookie
has left twenty four guys on base.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
Hey, hey, hey, stay focused, right.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
And the Dodgers are for oh for thirteen with runners.
Speaker 5 (39:51):
Come on, this is saying this.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
Is the moment that then right that Mookie needs to and.
Speaker 10 (39:58):
Again, yes it's a single, even if he walks right here,
but you know, i'd rather you need he needs a hit.
Speaker 12 (40:06):
I don't think at all right here, I don't think
they're rowning the zone.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
What do you mean the base are loaded. They're not
trying to walk him. They're hoping he hits the ball
hard at somebody. This is a big moment in the
game right here.
Speaker 5 (40:19):
This could be what determine is the game.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
I know it's early, no, because you might look back
and say, why do know Tony score and he left
the bases loaded. You know, you let a good picture
get wiggle out of a jam early it could and
then they can find their rhythm. We saw it with
Snell after the first right, two home runs in the
first inning.
Speaker 10 (40:37):
So it's we'll keep you updated on what happens here
with Mookie uh coming up in a bit here.
Speaker 5 (40:42):
Stay with us Fox Sports Radio
