(01:25):
how are you feeling in this so far?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
So yeah, this is what you want, man, if you're
if you're.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
From over, this game is far from over.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
So gosh, listen. If there was a team that the
Dodgers know is far from over, it is Dagon Blue Jays.
The way they get runs, the way they hit the
ball up and through that lineup. So but for the Dodgers,
it's just great for them to have to have some
early run support for Yama mode. So that's find a
human being. He can be a human being rob which
means not be your best all the time, meaning he
(01:54):
might give up a couple and still feel like they're
in this game. Uh, So that that has to be
great for them. And if you're Dave, look where'd you
move Mookie to clean up? He cleaned up coincidence, luck,
good fortune, whatever, the move ended up paying off thus far.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
All the numbers were against him, and he came through
and he needed it.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
And he looked bad on a two strike swing right,
It looked like he threw it by him, like he
wasn't you know, couldn't catch up to it. And he
came inside again with that pitch and he was able
to pull it in the left field, get two runs
in a two clutch, two out hit and it's three nothing.
Man on second, one out. Yamamoto just struck out Clement.
(02:37):
I think that's what was up right, all right. So
there we are as we get ready for the the
third inning now and the final hour of this program.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Shaye, we got a big football game coming up this.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Weekend, right, Yeah, Of all the teams out there, what
we got.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah, man, we got it all. We got Chiefs Bills.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
The moment that every NFL fan waits for almost every season,
it seems like it's what we wait for is the
media because we have so much to talk about from implications,
quarterbacks and people. Obviously, Chiefs Bills is a little different
than most years. They both haven't really started off the
way that most expected. The Patriots are starting on not
the Patriots. The Chiefs off the back of Patrick Mahomes
(03:22):
are starting to pick it up, and the Bills are
coming off of buy who do you guys see standing
on top after this week?
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Rob Kelvin, you could start well, I think for me,
this game means more for the Bills, because I think
the Chiefs feel like if you're looking at the Chiefs,
they're saying, we're headed in the right direction. We know
we are. There's this genius that does a show called
The Act Couple of Kelvin Washington, who said it weeks
(03:50):
ago that the offense was about to get cracking again
and look like what they look like years past, not exactly,
but way better than the last few years. And that's
what they done. Patrick Mahomes has put himself in an
MVP candidate leading right now and also the team leading
the odds of winning a Super Bowl. So I think
the Chiefs feel good about them positions. To Shay's point,
the Bills were all kind of like, eh, I want
(04:13):
more from them. I want them to dominate more. I
want to be more assured what they are as a team.
And so what's interesting is you go into this game
where the Bills Jared Josh Allen has been He's now
four and one in the regular season, so he's dominated
the Chiefs. So the Chiefs can say, we've been here before,
y'all beat this in the regular season. What's the big deal?
Because the Chiefs are four and oh Mahomes against Allen
(04:37):
in the postseason, so this will be the ten time
that they have matched up. So to me, the Chiefs
are heading in the right direction. The offense is going,
the defense is still good, and I think they feel
confident going into this, but ultimately also knowing we know
where we're headed, we know what we are. The Bills,
to me, I think is more interesting. We don't know
exactly what they are. Can they continue to run the ball?
(04:58):
Can their defense continue to be good? Can they be
where Josh Allen is good or solid? And they still
want a game? I don't know that I've seen that
right now, where can James could be relied upon? Where
they run him the ball more well, another couple of
receivers step up, And that's the difference to me right now,
Rob where I don't fully know what the Bills are.
(05:18):
They don't look as complete as a lot of us
Thart coming into this season, and the Chiefs are starting
to peak at the right time.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Yeah, I think this is big for the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
They need it because I think that their season has
been so far for Gayzy. If you look at who
they've beat, Gayzey, they like, look at their wins. Okay,
I'll tell you look at their losses. They lost to
the Chargers, they lost to Philadelphia, they lost to Jacksonville.
And when you look at their wins, they beat the Giants,
(05:50):
the bad Ravens when they were giving up forty points
a game.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Right, yeah, they.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Beat Washington without Jaydens, and they beat the Raiders, you know,
like I'm just I know they were on the schedule,
but this is why I want to here. Oh yeah,
and they beat the Lions. Uh that was probably the
only one. And the Blue Jays are on the board.
Two out clutch hit by guess who, George Spring Kirk Gibson.
(06:18):
I'm believing that's a big hit, Like, like you know,
like the goal when your team scores, what's the goal
is to have that clean inning the next inning, a
shutdown in it. Yep, and Yamamoto, who's been you know
that doesn't give up more than one run a game
in a two out situation, gives up the two out
(06:39):
knock and it's three to one, so there's life.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
WI remember jameson, Yeah, remember we had that conversation Rob.
I think it was earlier this week where we were
saying George Springer like is I think it was our
fil of fair. Maybe last year, I mean last year,
last week. But the point was where is he ranking
the pantheons of hitters? And we said, you know, it
was specifically with the Blue Jays. We all agreed, like, dude,
he's up there, this dude in Blue Jays astros, he
(07:05):
just makes big hits and he's certain around that had
made himself a heck of aer that's a big a
heck of a postseason career. I agree, And that's a
big hit.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
It really is, like it seems like, well, it's still
down three to one, but if Yamamoto comes out, you
know what I mean, and mows them down, you might
be like, this is gonna be a long night.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
That's a clutch to out hitt. Yes, you've glad he
hits a two run home run. Now you're back right
back in it.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yep. So there you go, big hit there.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I'm just saying, like Kelvin playing Buffalo, and I get it.
Regular season compared to the playoffs. We can't play the playoffs. Now,
it's the regular season, so I want to see. I
wasn't that impressed with him against Washington. No, Jane Daniels, right,
Marcus Mariota quarterback Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Had a couple of picks.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
You know, they scored what they have, twenty eight points,
But it wasn't like they you know, like overwhelmed them
or Washington turned the all over a couple times, I
think in the red zone where they had a chance
to you know, get into the game or be close
to scoring. I wasn't that impressed with that win, twenty
eight to seven. They won comfortably, But I want to
see them against Buffalo and in Buffalo. You heard Sean
(08:16):
King earlier thinks that this could be a wipeout for
Buffalo up in Buffalo coming off a bye.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
How will this matter to you.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Depending on the game if they get blown out, just
say they don't. You know, they get blown out in Buffalo,
would that just be a schedule game?
Speaker 4 (08:31):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Where So I think they listen that this ain't the
fifteen and two Chiefs in the sense of you can
waste one, right. They can't. They can't. They're definitely not
the fifteen and two, right, so they have to win
the game. They should want to win the game. I
should say I still believe they lose their fine because
again I think they're treading in the right direction. But
they should want to what they should They should look
(08:53):
at this and say, yeah, we ultimately always beat them
in the postseason, but it's okay to smack little brother
up even in a regular season. Say nah, close, but
no cigar. Y'all cute, but y'allin' us. And that's to
me how their approach should be. And again, also because
you want to just continue to trend in this right direction.
You want to get the reps going where she writes more.
You want to get the continuity of that offense explosive more.
(09:15):
You want to get the defense to continue to be dominating.
You want to find out if they could ever, ever, ever,
ever ever have a running game. And again, to me,
if you're the Bills, you got to show that man. Listen,
if Josh Allen is solid to good, can we win
a game? Because he has to be insane for them
to win a game. The Chiefs have proven over the
last couple of years because last year Mahomes wasn't the greatest.
(09:37):
They went fifteen and two. Now all of a sudden,
he's gotten his mojo back. They're winning games, but they've
lost the games. And last year where he's playing better
but now that they've got it going the last about
four or five weeks and can the Bills and this
has been that. This is why I can't pick them
the super Bowl. You want to you see, oh man,
because I just feel like they were to go up again.
(10:00):
It's a healthy and good ravens Lamar is just too much.
He can find out what to get done. Plus at
the time there's other guys. Dereck Henry can come to life.
They got tight ends that come to life. The defense
can make an opportunistic play. We already know. Patrick Mahomes
has been four and oh he finds a way. Is
it a Chargers team? Is it another AFC team? And
that's the difference with the Bills. They have to prove
that they are more well rounded team and they just
(10:20):
haven't been able to do that. In my opinion, it's
just Superman Josh Allen or nothing. No.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I agree.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
I agree with you on that It's going to be interesting.
I'm looking forward to the game actually, and I doing
a good one. I'm into watching a game that I can, like,
you know, dig into and watch and not just solely
flipping around, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
I want to watch yer old minute a sixty minute game, right, I.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Want to watch the entire game.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
I want to see what's going on on both sides
here where Buffalo is. Buffalo's kind of been under the
radar when you say that after the first couple of wins.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yeah, and that's because rob their offense hasn't been as
good as you would have thought it would be. The
defense has had some weird games, some fluky games where
you're kind of like, all right, why did we lose
that one? Or why did you allow this other team
to be so close? Like the loss of the Falcons.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
You know what was that that game?
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:12):
That was weird, right, Yeah, you.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Know that was a weird when they were in The
Saints were in that game for a really long time.
As remember the Dolphins we talked about on the air
that day. I think it might because I think it
might have been a Monday night game. The Dolphins were
in that game against the Bills for some time as well.
So they've had, even in their wins, some wins where
you're like, all right, that's a strange win, Like you won,
but I didn't feel good about that. And I think
that's why the Bills have kind of been I mean,
and they were getting dominated by the Ravens till the end,
(11:36):
you know what I mean, And they snuck that one out.
So I just think they haven't looked at that great,
which is.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
If it was right.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
And even in that game, you know, if Derek Henry
doesn't fumble, they don't win that game.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
That's that's what I'm saying. I think that's the issue
with the Bills is you're just kind of like, and.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
They gave up forty at home, forty at home to
open the season.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Let's not forget I mean, La Marvy doing that.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
But yeah, all right, but I look forward to it's
gonna be a good one eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox. A couple things. Who needs it more the
Chiefs to prove that what they're doing is is definitely uh,
you know, real and not fugazy or is it? The
Bills will kind of like they're kind of fall off
(12:21):
the radar, right, they fall off the radar a little bit?
Do they need to do this so people remember, yes,
the Bills are still viable, they still have a chance.
They still trying to make noise, still trying to get
to the super Bowl. Where are you on this game?
Who needs to win it more? I think the Chiefs do.
I need to see if the Chiefs, who could easily
what if they lose? They would be five and four.
(12:42):
They have four losses, double the amount of losses that
they had from a year ago, double, which is crazy.
In nine games eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine,

We got a little Halloween take we'll do in a
little bit, just a little fun and sports tying Halloween
movies and themes to sports specifically in the NFL. Will
do that in just a little bit. Updated the game.
Was it still three to one?
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Rop?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Make sure I'm not bohambo?
Speaker 3 (14:37):
I just got a double play to end the inning. Yep,
so three to one top of the fifth. Yeah, almost
halfway after this sending will be halfway through the game.
But they did get another hit off of Yamamoto Bobushit
at a hit.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Who was away to hit double play pitches for him?
Speaker 3 (15:00):
All right, So we got a ball game, a bloop
and the blast. We got a tie game. Uh and uh,
you's still got a long way to go.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
This is very because you know, this is where it
starts to get tight. Right around here. It starts to
get you know.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
Because every pitch, every situation, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
And there's three runs gonna be enough tonight and then
can the bullpen hold it?
Speaker 4 (15:18):
You know, there's all kinds of questions, what the who
the bullpen? I know, you know who? You don't want
to go to the bullpen if you don't happen, but
you might have me tell you.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Who ain't coming in? Well, you know what, I don't
give a dang. Let's it's uh Sasaki all right? All right,
let's eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. If you
just tune it in or if you want to call in.
You were listening to Rob and I are talking about
the Chiefs Bills. Probably game of the week. Only one
other one I can really think of, probably Colt Steelers,
just to see where that game is. But who needs it? More?
(15:48):
Chiefs Bills? And uh, what team do you feel like?
It's a statement game for I say, the Bills need
it more to come to find, you know, show who
they are as a whole entire team. Rob said the
Chiefs to say that this it hasn't been fogazy for them.
What say you? Who? We got?
Speaker 4 (16:03):
All right?
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Andre in Massachusetts, you're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Rader.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
What's up, Dreight?
Speaker 8 (16:11):
How you doing? Thanks for taking the call? Happy Halloween.
Hope things are going well out there? Yes, in the
western blustery here in the East coast, you know, no
what's going on?
Speaker 3 (16:19):
I saw all that rain in Brooklyn and New York, Like,
did you see the floods all over the place?
Speaker 8 (16:25):
Rain and wind? Robbed is wind coming through?
Speaker 6 (16:28):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (16:28):
Pushing things back and unfortunately no power has gone out.
But you know it's looking like looking like fall in
New England. Uh, this combination. Listen to Bills. The Bills
lost their mojo all of a sudden. Folks in New
England are feeling like the glory days are back, and
they got the opportunity to make a serious run here.
So I think they need to win more to re
(16:49):
establish themselves as true Super Bowl contenders. You know, they
they've lost a little bit of their of machine on them,
you know, feeling like they were the odds our favorite
to win.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
I agree with that.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
I agree with that and a little bit because it
just seemed like they fell off of after after Josh
Allen's first couple of games.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
You remember always gonna be m v P again. You
remember that where's that gone?
Speaker 8 (17:11):
The corodination is over robbed? Okay, and now the bill
this is gonna be another season for them where they're
gonna have to grind it out and try to get
that home field advantage. Seem like it was a foregone conclusion.
But if they let these other teams out maneuver them
and they have to go on the road to the Chargers,
to the Bronxos, to the Chiefs, I'm not sure if
they're gonna make it back to make it the Tuper Bowl.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Doll.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Thanks taking the call, all I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
What about chili? Tim in Atlanta? You're in the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Tim?
Speaker 9 (17:43):
We and the grandkids. You know, we made some cigies
and stuff and you put on the old candidate ahead
of you. Guys playing the background. Many stopped.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Are you serious?
Speaker 4 (17:55):
What are they they stopped and they were like.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
What is that?
Speaker 9 (17:59):
Things? What is that?
Speaker 1 (18:04):
They looked at you, like what you be listening to?
Speaker 4 (18:08):
Who was that sound?
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Like a cow being stuck underneath the truck or something?
Speaker 4 (18:14):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 9 (18:15):
Did you shut there?
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Like, oh my god, that's funny.
Speaker 10 (18:18):
That was so funny.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Man.
Speaker 9 (18:20):
Everybody stopped and my wife just looked at me, like,
you contain that down?
Speaker 4 (18:24):
Can you turn that down? Turned that down on nos
for you? That's right?
Speaker 11 (18:30):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (18:31):
I think with this game, I don't think it really
matters in the sense, and I guess by that default
I'm saying the Mills because with the Ravens, the Bills
and maybe with such a maybe the fingers, uh, the
other team, I think it don't really matter.
Speaker 9 (18:49):
Because the thing that makes uh the key so formidable
is that when it counts, like.
Speaker 10 (18:56):
When it really counts, the other team should find a
way that tooke me and they find a way to
put it out.
Speaker 9 (19:02):
So I think with the Chiefs, I think they.
Speaker 10 (19:04):
Don't really they want to win it.
Speaker 12 (19:05):
But I think they don't really care either way.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
I think they're thinking, you know what, I get, I
get that, Tim, I do they'll win.
Speaker 4 (19:15):
But here's my thing.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
I'm just saying, when I look at how many games
they've lost, they've beat, they've lost to some pretty good teams,
and they're beating up on some bad ones that at
some point, you know what I mean, you want to
look and go like this is not a mirage. We
can beat some good teams as well. And they did
beat the Lions. That's the one game that I would
give them. But the other games beating the Giants and
the Raiders and whatnot, I'm just not that impressed by that.
(19:39):
And even they beat Washington without Jaye Daniels, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 10 (19:44):
And I get that, Yeah, I get it totally, But
I just think they had there's something about them on
the inside. I don't know, havn't been there, whatever it
is that they can where everybody else chokes it down,
like the Ravens and the Bills, Like it's not that
the Chiefs dominate them, it's just they just some type
of way to lose it in the end. He's like
they you know they get their lemon booty.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
No, you're right, just don't get it.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Yeah, Like like z Flowers fumbling at the one yard line,
you know what I mean, Like like.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Something like that, leaving them fourteen seconds thinking that's enough.
Speaker 10 (20:17):
Yeah, yeah, Gooders don't dominate them.
Speaker 12 (20:19):
They just they just choke it away.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
No doubt. All right, my man, have a great prestion.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
You have our volume down a little bit chilly because
you don't want the family judging you. We got another one.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
We have with squeeze. One more in Yeah, oh no,
that was it. That was it?
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Okay, all right, all right, we're good, all right, coming
up little Halloween fun, Rob. I'm gonna throw some uh
some things at you, and I want you to tie
them into the NFL teams. I'll throw some teams at
you too. Tell me if you feel me, we'll do that.
On the other side of training right now, Steve the Seger,
what's training hello?
Speaker 11 (20:49):
Game six of the World Series on Fox TV right now,
and the Dodgers lead at Toronto three to one in
the top of the fifth. Even though Kevin Gosman, Toronto starter,
struck out seven of the first nine LA batters to
start the game, Dodgers nonetheless got three runs in the third,
all after a two out intentional walk to shohe Otani
Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound. For La. Blue Jays lead
(21:11):
the series three games to two. Toronto dh George Springer
did return to the lineup tonight and had an RBI
single in the third. He had injured himself on a swing.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
This week.
Speaker 11 (21:21):
The Dolphins parted ways with general manager Chris Greer. Running
Back for the Bears DeAndre Swift is out again this
weekend with a groin injury. In Chicago, running back for
Shawn Johnson out with a back injury. There is college
football tonight, number twenty five. Memphis goes to the fourth
quarter leading at Rice thirty eight to seven. Halftime at
Syracuse's home team leads North Carolina ten to six. Tar
(21:43):
Heels of Bill Belichick oh to three in conference so far.
Among the NBA games, the Celtics are in a close
one at Philadelphia one oh nine, one oh eight Boston
with twenty seconds left, Philly four to oh so far
on the young season for the Celtics, Jalen Brown thirty
two points in thirty one minutes on the court. Indiana
has lost four in a row and Obi Toppin of
(22:04):
the Pacers is out until perhaps February. He'll have foot surgery.
Atlanta has just won at Indiana one twenty eight to
oneh eight. The Lakers are at Memphis, tipping off in
just a few minutes, and Luka Donsich is back in
the starting lineup after a sprain finger and Bruce leg
Anthony Davis of Dallas will miss at least two games
with a strain calf and just three games in the NHL.
(22:26):
Colorado a four to two winner at Vegas. Right now,
the Islanders lead with three minutes left in the game
to one at Washington, starting up in a half an hour,
it's the Red Wings at eight and three so far,
playing at Anaheim. College football notes Saturday on Fox TV
Number one Ohio State host Penn State at noon Eastern time.
For Texas quarterback Arch Manning is off the injury report
(22:48):
after a concussion. The first college football Playoff rankings come
out Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Back to you all right, Appreciate you, Steve a couple,
Rob Calvin Funky Flashback Friday. Some pains can sneak up
on you during the holiday. Hustle and bustle in the
leaf can help you forget the pain and make happy
memories instead. With just one pill, a lee provides up
to twelve hours of body paying relief so you can
keep it moving. Use as directed, all right, Rob Shay,
(23:13):
Mary Steve, Yes, you Steve. Anybody can jump in on
this a little bit. Decide to have a little fun
in the middle of this NFL season, tying it into
a little bit of Halloween. So here's how we're doing it. Mary.
See if you got some little Halloween music you can
put in the background for me. Appreciate you. So I'm
gonna throw out a few movies or characters from Halloween movies,
(23:34):
and then I'm gonna tell you kind of the thing
about them, and I want you to pair it with
the team a little bit. Okay, So let's start here.
I had a chance to actually Robert England, who played
Freddy Krueger, got a chance to interview him the other day.
He came by my news show, so that was pretty cool.
He just got his Hall of Hollywood star Walk of
Fame yet today, So congrats to him. Freddy Krueger start
(23:58):
you in your nightmares. You couldn't get away from him,
haunted you. He was there and you're sleep he couldn't
stop thinking about him. So Freddy Krueger, who's that Freddy
Krueger of the NFL that is haunting teams in their
nightmares they're thinking about him. For me, it is the
Kansas City Chiefs because as what Chili Tim was just saying,
(24:20):
our color, they're in their heads. They're in the Ravens said,
they're the Bills said, they're in all these teams' heads,
even when they get out played, even when you should
have won the game. Somehow they haunt you in your dreams.
So I said that Freddy Krueger of the NFL right
now will be the Kansas City Chiefs. Say, Rob Steve,
anybody who you got you agree with or do you
(24:40):
even agree with me?
Speaker 4 (24:41):
I okay, So I see where you're coming from.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
But I knock down in the super Bowl though, right
because they've lost two Super Bowls. They got three of
them things, three of them, Rob, come on, I got
two bad losses in two of them.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
But I can't agree with the Chiefs though, because when
I think of nightmares, I think of looking forward, and
with Lamar coming back in that game yesterday, I know
I'm getting nightmares about the Ravens. So I think this
might have to go to Lamar and the Ravens right here.
I think this might have real them.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
I got him somewhere else. I'll tell you I got
him coming up here.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
Yeah, I don't know. I'm always trying to think. I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
I'm gonna go with the Eagles and the Tush Push
and that team. I know people are trying to. They've
been to two of the last three Super Bowls. Right
R and UH actually played well, could have won the
other one against Kansas City. Right could have won that.
They could have two. And even the year that they
didn't get to the super Bowl, remember they won ten
(25:45):
or eleven games that season, like ten in a row
or something.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
So the last three years they've been.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Kind of a boogeyman to the NFL if you if
you ask me, just woke up too.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
I feel like the answer is the chief though. Nice
thank you Mary.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
Who's that talking about? Oh right, why are we doing
that right now? I don't know who that was.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Is that YouTube tripping with the music or something? Yeah,
continuing along? Who is the Frankenstein? What I mean by
that is they're well put together. You put a little hair,
put a little there, put a little there. They got
it going on. They're well put together team. I'm going
(26:31):
with the Detroit Lions. I think the roster is really good.
Still a little you know, you're missing a piece on
defensive end. You'd probably wanted the defensive players. But I
think just from the offensive end defensive, they're just a
well put together roster. There are some other teams out there.
I won't be mad if you choose, but that is
my choosing. Who do you guys have? Who's the Frankenstein
well put together?
Speaker 3 (26:51):
I'll just say that Frankenstein because they always are frightful
when the big game comes, especially if they're at home
and they have a chance to get to the super
Bowl again.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
I'm just saying Frankenstein from being frightful.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
No, no, I'm on my way with the Frankenstein in
the studio, right.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
I'll say this. I think this is gonna go the
Chargers here. I think the Mad Doctor. I think Jim Harbaugh.
So you mean that Frankenstein wears a khaki pan.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
So is that what you're Yeah, well, I was gonna
say Frankenstein's more justin Herbert here. It feels like he's
created something great and it's finally coming intuition and this
guy is in the right situation. Seems like the right time.
Everything's starting to work out Frankenstein. Baby, he's waking up.
Everything's coming together, you know what I mean, Everything's coming together,
and Frankenstein is being created.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
That's what I saw this.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
I still, I still am not one hundred percent sure
of what the Chargers are right now. They've they've underwhelmed
a handful of uh, they'll had last handful of weeks,
all right. The movie, the character penny Wise is a clown.
Who's the clown right now? In the NFL? Who's the
clown show? When you look at them, you just say,
(28:06):
this is absolutely terrible. I got the Miami Dolphins, the
whole entire action.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
I'm gonna beat that. I'm gonna beat that.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
It's a whole clown show. Don't know what's going on?
Looks terrible. I think I know where you're going, Rob,
and I can't disagree because this is what they're one
of the couple teams that can make this case. Who
you got, Rob? I know you got.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
I got the New York Jetropolitans.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I knew you were going.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
On cause it's bad and I get it.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Well, you know, Miami hasn't won a playoff game in
twenty six years or whatever.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
But guess what.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
The Jets haven't made the playoffs in about twelve or
thirteen years.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
I mean in a league.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
That's set up for everybody, you know what I mean,
like for there to be changed and for you to
be able to bounce back. The league is kind of
set up for parody, and they can't find it. And
it's mistake after mistake, whether it's drafting quarterbacks, whether it's
high coaches, you know what I mean. I just think
they're they're they're talk about a clown show. It's bad.
Speaker 6 (29:05):
The knight Ins and Saints are right, and that was
and that was the team I grew up, you know,
following as a kid.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Here here's why Mary I heard you. I'm gonna get
to that in a second. Here's why I thought of
the Jets. But I don't fully give it to him yet.
This is Aaron Glenn's first year. And they also don't
have their quarterback. The reason I said the Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
They they don't.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
They signed h Justin Fields for two years.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Right, right, but two supposed to be their guy. Daniels
has been there now four or five years, and like
this is supposed to be the coronation. We got our guys.
Everybody We've been here at the system for years. We're
gonna make the postseason, and once you get in, you
never know. And now it's just terrible firing gms. McDaniels
can be fired. So that's why I said them, Shay, Mary,
I heard you, Mary. You got a couple of bad
ones too.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
You got yeah, Mary, go ahead.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
I was just saying, I watching that game last weekend,
I was terrible. It felt like I was watching the
Benny Hill Show like it was really bad. So yeah,
I don't know. You got sayings, you got Titans, you
got colds heared Uh.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
I think I think I'm gonna give this to my
first individual, not necessarily a team. Jerry Jones has to
be the biggest clown in the endow. Seriously, after his
comments he has all the cowboy fans pissed off. Right
after his comments about one hundred billion dollar investment he's
doing into the gas thing. Instead of looking into his defense,
he gives off Micah the things he said about in
this whole past season. I don't think there is a
(30:30):
bigger clown in the NFL sphere than this guy right here.
It really I don't think anyone comes close.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
All right, next one. Michael Myers just keeps coming. You
run away, He's just walking. This team just stalking coming
down this shade is where I go.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
The Baltimore Ravens, I might have to agree with it.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
I think they're just gonna keep trucking along, keep coming,
and we're gonna look up. Some teams are gonna be like,
how did we get out played by the Ravens or
how do they steal our postseason playoff spot. I have
the Ravens as the Michael Myers that just keep coming,
Shae rob Berry.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
I'm not having to agree with you there, honestly, No,
it makes sense the way you I think Michael Myers
is more of a Raven, So I might have to
go back on my former and say he's the Chiefs
were earlier. But no, I definitely agree with you here.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
Well, I do.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Everybody expects that at some point the Ravens are going
to jump out and scare the heck out of everybody
and win it, you know what I mean, and do
something because they're they're that scary.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Good? Is that fair? I agree?
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah, they are.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
That's the only one we all on, Kelvin.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
That is the only one, the last one I'll go ahead, Shay.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
I kind of got one for you, but I thought
you were done, So do your last one and then
and then I'll.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Just shoot it. Shoot it.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Do you have Hannibal Lecter yet? Do you have annible? Okay?
Speaker 5 (31:51):
Good, so Hannibal Lecter. Genius man always ahead. Once you
think you got him, there are always three or four
steps ahead of you. Genius knows what he's doing, always ahead.
This right here is the Chiefs. This right here is
what I think is the Chiefs. You finally think they're done,
you finally think it's over, and out of nowhere, they
(32:12):
come out of nowhere. That's literally what I think.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
I'm not mad at that. I think I see why
you go there. I'm gonna one up you and I'm
gonna go Sean McVay. I'm gonna go Sean McVay and
the Rams because the Rams have had multiple times when
we all university went all right, they're rebuilding, they're rebuilding. Okay,
they won a Super Bowl, they got to a Super
Bowl back with Jared GoF th rebuild and they continue
to be good. Okay, the offense struggles, then they get
(32:37):
Matthew Stafford. All right, well, the defense then the defense
is right back great this year. So to me, that's
Sean McVay. He's always just when you think Cooper Cup's aging,
they go get Davonte Adams and they're bawling again, and
all right, what pooka nakool is showing up? So that
would be Sean McVay and the Rams.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
To me, I'm out of that at all. I'm out
at that at all. Rob.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
I think you guys, no, I think you guys are
pretty locked in on that one.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Sweet Sean McVay. He's always fighting a way, all right.
Last Call on the Way eight seven, seven ninety nine

Speaker 3 (33:39):
You gotta remember I was in college when this came out. Man,
this was the biggest thing going, Calvin, you.
Speaker 4 (33:45):
Were just grooming.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Man.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
YouTube kind of missed it, right, what you hear at
this debut day?
Speaker 1 (33:51):
But eighty eighty one, eighty I'm gonna go eight eighty seven,
eighty three, No One, No eighty seven, girl A two.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
I was in college, I'm telling you, Yeah, that was
my my freshman year. Are you kidding? We were watching
MTV and all that. We couldn't wait to watch it.
It was back then when the videos came out, it
was a big deal. Man.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
I'm trying to think we can ever express that to
someone who's probably thirty five and under rob Like they
stopped primetime television the middle of the day, like, hold
on at eight oh five, we're gonna debut whatever the
new Michael Jackson video was.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
What was that big? It was that big?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
I mean you just know, there's no there's no equivalent now,
Like I can't say it's like whinah blah blah blah.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Would you compare that to them leaving the NBA Championship
for OJ?
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Well, that that was big too. I never forgot.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
I don't think else will be that big as OJ either.
Speaker 5 (34:49):
Really, because I never heard of this with MJ all,
I've heard about is the OJ thing and obviously oh no,
this this was huge.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
No no, no, no, no MJ. Anytime he did a video
up until probably like the mid nineties, they literally would
not do it like a normal just randomly on an MTV.
It would debut on like Primetime ABC, Alura Man, and
that's how crazy you got it?
Speaker 4 (35:11):
Yeah, all right, let's get down, all.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Right, that's right. It is the Odd Couple. Still three
to one in the world series. Bottom on a six
coming up. That's right, bottom of the six coming up.
Keep you updated throughout the show as we got a
few more minutes before we head on out. We'll see
how this one shapes up before we leave. And as always,
aches and pain to sneak up during the holiday season,
hustle and bustle a leave can help you forget the pain,
make happy memories. This set, with just one pill a lead,
(35:35):
provides up to twelve hours of body paying leaf so
you can keep it moving. Use as directed. Last call, good,
last call. Who we got?
Speaker 4 (35:53):
We got Nate in Alaska. You're on the Odd Couple
of Fox Sports and you are the last call.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
What's up, Nate?
Speaker 10 (36:04):
Hey, how's it going?
Speaker 13 (36:05):
I'm calling from Alaska. This's my first time ever calling
into a radio station, So I think it's pretty cool
that you guys answered.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Wow, thank you, what that we got you to call?
We appreciate that. Thank you.
Speaker 10 (36:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (36:17):
So, my buddy, he graduated from Ohio State and we're
in a fantasy football league, so I've been giving him
a little bit of grief over the last four years.
So my hot take is that I don't think that
Joe Burrow is an NFL talent. I think he was
great in college, but it just hasn't translated over the
(36:39):
last few years to being a true NFL talent. And
I know that there was a lot of discussion with
him and Trevor Lawrence about who's a personality and who's
like the next guy up. But I just want to say,
at the expense of my buddy, I think that Joe
Burrow like peaked in college and that's pretty much it.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Wow. Well, thank you for the call, thank you for
your first time ever calling. We appreciate it. And do
I disagree? Joe Burrow has been to the Super Bowl.
Joe Burrow, if his defense was any half decent last year,
could have been the MVP. Joe Burrow healthy is perfectly fine.
A top three four to five quarterback for sure. All right,
(37:22):
NFL picks us do it.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
Welcome in, guys, we got NFL pickskin pickoff. I'm filling
in Rob G's very very small feet. So we're ready
to go. We got Week eight. Wow, Rob, you should
be happy man four and one Calvin one and four.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (37:37):
Wow a game, guys.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Running total is now nineteen to twenty one and Calvin
eighteen to twenty two. So Rob is currently in the lead.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Yeah, week want to come back?
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Here we go?
Speaker 4 (37:46):
Please.
Speaker 7 (37:46):
Man.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
You can't let them talk about Rodgers and you can't
worry about us either.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Man.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
I'm back.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
I'm back.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
We're back. We're back. All right, man, we're gonna get
right into this. We'll be quick.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Week nine we got Falcons at Patriots with the Patriots
being the five and a half favorites.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Who you got, Rob? You had that one more time?
I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (38:02):
It's Falcons at Patriots and the Patriots being the favorites
five and a half.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
I'm gonna take the Falcons. The Patriots can't win every game.
I think that there's Kelvin every time you think that
it's a rap. You know what, I mean, you know,
I just that's how football works. You go like, oh
that does nowhere to like the Jets winning that game.
They had no business winning that game, right, the.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
Falcons offensively, they can get it going. Defensively, I think
the Patriots someone running on the field in Toronto. Something's
going on was going on. I'm trying to figure out.
I know they don't show it and they don't mention it.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Yeah them, Yeah, okay, because we'll keep an eye on
it because you the way that motial everybody, the.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
Crowd.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Yeah, they should don't. Don't show them, don't show them.
I'm surprised that happened in Toronto.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
All right. We only got a couple of minutes, so yes,
give me Patriots, all right?
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Sweet.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
We got Colts at Steelers, Colts being minus three.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
Give me Colts.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
I'm gonna take the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
All right.
Speaker 5 (39:00):
We got Panthers at Packers minus thirteen and a half
for the Packers.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
That's a lot, that's a lot. I'm gonna take the Packers.
I'm sorry. I just the Panthers. Do they do nothing
from me? I'm sorry, that's just a lot. Give me
the give me the Packers. I don't Panthers are then
give me the Packers a.
Speaker 5 (39:19):
Whole lot of confidence with this one. Broncos at Texans,
the Texans being the favorites.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
One and and a half. Really, yes, which is interesting.
There must be history there. I'm gonna take the Texans.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Dagg it. I was hoping you would take the Broncos.
I'm taking the text.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
It must be something there, because that why what.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
They're because they were starting to win a couple. There's
check your cup. It's just that the only trouble for
them is their offensive line. In the Broncos, that's what
they do well. They get after quarterback.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (39:45):
And finally we've got Chiefs at Bills. With the Chiefs
coming in as minus two as the favorites.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
I'm gonna go with uh Sean King. I got the
Bills winning that game at home. They've kind of been
out of touch, out of sight, haven't played that well.
Speaker 4 (40:01):
I think they're due for a good game.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
You know who. I got the Chiefs. I think they're
off and actually I think the Chiefs went big. I
actually think they went by a touchdown touchdown or more.
Speaker 5 (40:10):
And then let's just do this one more line. Colts
minus three at Steelers.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Who was it?
Speaker 1 (40:15):
We did that? We did that?
Speaker 4 (40:16):
One did that one? Just I got the stealers. He
has the call. I got the help.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
He's got the Steelers, yea.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
And there we go, and then we're into the weekend.
When we come back on Monday, we'll have a new
we'll have a World Series champ.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
We should say one way or the other. We'll find out.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
I think it'll be the Blue Jays tonight and it'll
be uh sour sour for
Speaker 1 (40:36):
Y'all have a motor on it.
