Speaker 2 (04:43):
That very nice. What'd you spend one thousand dollars?
Speaker 1 (04:47):

Speaker 2 (05:57):
The first sign he's ready to pounce on me.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Rob ten years, first time, by the way, first first time.
Let's pump your breaks again, first time. You know I've
been here for over a year now, okay, you know
we'd had some time.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
First time. Rob G. All right. Rob G is our producer.
I'll stay with yeah, yeah, and your talk. Martin Weiss
is at the anchor desk. He keep us updated throughout
the show.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Well, Jimmy Hendrix Elijah, of course, is our social media guru.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
And on the ones and twos, why you bugging? All right?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
The Blue Jays just finished the biggest choke job in
the history of Major League Baseball. And you know, normally
I would sing my old Canada. I was all prepared
for them to win or whatever. So I do have
a new song that I'm gonna debut right now.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Let me hear this? What what bladdy about to hear?
I thought I'm at the Gez concert again. He had
the orchestra going, wait a minute, okay, oh boy.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Wait a minute, we gotta start this. Where's where's mind?
Let's go with mine? Because you started, I wasn't ready,
You wasn't ready.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
You got mine?
Speaker 1 (07:20):
That's what you get right now here we go. This
is about as bad as the Blue Jays playing.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
No Cana doll.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Your home man, Native Land, true patriot, choke job all
over the Major League Baseball land with clothing hearts. We
(07:51):
see the rise of the Dodgers Championship flags from far
and wide. No Canada, you let down the entire cotree.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
God keep our.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Baseball glorius and free. No Canada, you choke it down royally.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
No Canada. You made me throw up in my mouth with.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Maple syrup on Saturday night.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
This is, first of all, No Canada. First of all,
you ain't got a bottle of metal maple service. Save
your life. Let's start there. Are you done with your
your The calling is a choke job.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
It was a choke job. All right, let's just we'll
talk about it.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
I'm saying it was the greatest choke in the history
of the World Series. When you give up a home
run to a ninth place hitter who's had one hit
in the previous month, you pitch from behind, you throw
the ball over the plate right, and he hits it
out to tie the game with Otani on deck, like
(09:32):
you could not ask for a more night marriage ending
to not winning a World Series. When you have to
get him out, you attack him, you throw fastballs, they
through like a slide or whatever.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
And you lose on that pitch. You don't lose on
your second best pitch. And then the.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Blue Jays we were here, we talked seventh, eighth, They
had runners on second when nobody out couldn't bring him in.
And finally in the ninth inning, a man on third
with one out couldn't bring him in. And then they
end the game on a double play to lose the
World I mean, they left sixty six men on base
(10:10):
in Game seven, they left fourteen on base, eight in
scoring position.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
It was a choke job.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
No, it wasn't stopping. You don't even believe it. You
didn't even say with conviction. That wasn't even Rob Parker.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Who was that?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
That wasn't Rob Parker. You don't believe that. Let me
tell you so many ways, this wasn't a choke job.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Number one.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
In fact, the Dodgers had to go out there scrap
and win every single one of the games they won,
including the two games they won. In Game three, which
was a three yad two gamer doubleheader, they had to
go out there and make the place. Freddie Freeman had
to hit a clutch home run to win that. Somebody
had to do it. The Glue Jays had several opportunities
to do it after Dodger players had a opportunity to.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Do it too.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
You have Freddy Freeman do it, then you know who
I want to give some credit to give me your
cookie back. I'm giving it to Dave Roberts because Dave
Roberts has been maligned. M Line is taking so much criticism,
and every single thing he did the last couple of
games work. We set up here on that Friday, they
move Bookie down. Who gets a couple of RBIs Mookie?
(11:11):
You start talking about move Andy Piace. We talked about
it again on Friday. Been struggling. What are you gonna do?
You move him out? Miggie comes in, he hits the
home run. Andy Piaz comes back in the game defensively
makes one of the greatest clutch catches you've ever seen.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
He was so great about one.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Was so great about it because if that leave his
feet or died for the ball, all he did was
out of one of a pressure moment man, and he
hadn't been playing it did they crash into each other,
sho and he ducked. It wasn't because it w was situation.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
It was.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
It wasn't a catch. He didn't jump over the fence
right exactly, a pressure rized game. If you dropped that man,
it's a rat. It's a day soggie.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Rojas hits the home run.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Then he makes the play to get to out Will Smith,
who by the way, is quietly just you fever forget
about him. He has his foot on base, gets him out.
Then he hits the game winning home run that nobody
even talking about because of Rojas game tying one.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Well, because nobody even believed that you could.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Allow a ninth place hitter with one out in the night,
when you're two out from winning the World Series, for
a guy who had one hit in a previous month,
you could.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Get a hit. You can't give up a home run
in that spot. And why is that?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Why is that on the pitching, not on for making
a great play.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
No, and that's what the Dodgers did though the whole
in time. No, here the problem.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
The last two games in Toronto both ended on double
plays where a ball goes the left field, the guy
on second base runs off the base and gets doubled
up on the ball.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
That wasn't going to drop that. You know what happened.
That was a mistake.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Happens when teams played the Chiefs in the postseason, when
they played the Patrios, when they played the Warriors, when
you play champions. They seen when you played the Spurs
all those years, to find a way to panic, to
not beat themselves, to freak out, to lose out of
what they're doing all the time. The Dodgers bet in
this world Okay, left fifty five guys on base even
(13:13):
show Hey, as much as people wanted to crown.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Him, what did he do?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
He gave up seven earned runs in his two starts
in the World Series. Seven earned runs and twelve innings.
Not stellar. Four point four to three e R which
isn't great. I'm just saying, none of your guys, Mookie
had three hits or three.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Hits in the World Series. And what do I keep
telling you what? Freddy now had one home run. All
I'm saying to you is it was lucky. That pair.
Is nothing luck about that that parade. You can't be
the lucky team who Domino.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
You can you can't be the lucky team that sweeps
the best team in baseball in Milwaukee Brewers.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Who beats the Phillies show.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
The Phillies were the odds on to win the World
Series when we came into the stage. And so you
beat him, you sweep through your baseball money.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
And then you go up.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Against a great team in the Blue Jays, and it
takes you to an amazing great sevic And why can't
it just be that it was a great World Series period?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Why it all gotta be that they choked it.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Away all when you say to you, is today's parade
should have been in at the North Pole, because that
was a Christmas gift from the Blue Jays.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Man.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
They went out there and stole that thing. That was
time in time again.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
The Blue Jays could have won Game three, the longest
game ever? Did they know?
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Logan show go up and they win a couple. The
Dodgers go into their house, you in their house two,
and they take it. And Dave Roberts made the right
move after the right Will Klein you ain't seeing before,
You might not ever see Will Klein again. Will Klein
came in and gave you four innings, seventy two pitches,
and the most he had ever double thirty six. But
(14:51):
Dave Roberts stuck with him. Dave Roberts billion kershaw in
for the one out. Everything he did, and you gotta
give him credit because I everybody's been credited everything he did.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
He put.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
He let the O Tani start. It was three nothing.
If they lose that game, that was the right guy.
That was the right move.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
You go down with your guy. O Tani had earned that.
You go down with But he had just pitched. It
was three days rest.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
And you are did in three days rest.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yamamoto was my gosh, he ready to pitch on him
right now.

Man on third and first, it didn't matter. And never

as like a rookie legend, they got their lick back
on on the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
But that but that, that ain't the reason.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
The whole story is when you look back on this
World series, is that they couldn't. The Blue Jays stranded
too many We're not talking about getting a guy on
first base. You're talking about a guy on second with
nobody out. You could go look it up. The percentages

They were d E A D dead with two games left,
with Yoshi on the mound, with the Living Legend the
Unicorn coming up after that. You could criticize them for
stranding players. You could criticize a bad game, but at
the end of the day, with the Superstars best saying
staying silent, Dave Roberts pulled all the.
Speaker 10 (21:06):
Right shrinks to kill him.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
That's not that's not why they wanted over over reason
that they wanted because the Blue Jays failed in the
spots that they were supposed to not get a million hits.
They needed one hit and all of your days, all
of your said at the beginning of the series, it's going.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
To be the timely hit.
Speaker 10 (21:27):
That's what I said.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
No, no timely hits means the Blue Jays needed one
timely hit.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Another team, the Blue Jays wasn't playing the Blue Jays. Hell,
you know that right. They allowed Miggi Rojas with me
ro hot, no hit, Rojas get a hit and who

Speaker 1 (22:53):
That's what it was, right, That's what it was. They're here,
my dog. You know what I've been dealing with up here. Hey, hey, hey,
right now, talk about the Blue he choked. I said, no,
the Dodgers, Jerry wanted Jay Roberts made every move possible.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
R Cherry.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
They choked the Blue Jays. Come on, man, what was
it three for seventeen when runners in scoring position, somebody.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Had to pitch the ball? New kidding?
Speaker 10 (23:14):
Go ahead your hair, guys, guy, you need to stop
drinking the head hit rates. No, me and you up,
we go way back. Yeah, boy, but I'm gonna be
riding with you.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Brother.
Speaker 10 (23:26):
You gotta stop drinking that hater rangsuring the Dodgers, especially
with like the Dodgers spending money. It's like the Yankees
didn't spend money in two thousand and nine.
Speaker 14 (23:36):
Why do I have a problem with the money, Jerry,
I'll get read for that. He's not. I'm not on
that because we know the Yankees. The Mets spent the
most money last year. They didn't even make the playoffs.
The Yankees haven't won since two thousand and nine. Right,
it took the Dodgers thirty years to win a championship
after nineteen eighty eight, So I get that money does
(23:57):
not win you a championship.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
I'm with that.
Speaker 10 (24:00):
You're exactly right. Listen, I don't be real with you, guys.
Both teams struggled with runners this horn position in the
game six and seven. Both teams did great pitching on
both sides. I don't know if if it's choking. I
just felt that both teams and the Blue Jays had
an elite offense. Both teams had a hard time executing
(24:22):
bases loaded. How many times we see it base loaded
brow um out of the short stop, grown up on
the second baseman, and they were unable to execute and
get a run home. Fortunately, the Dodger able to find
a way to win Game seven. So I'm gonna give
credit to the to the pitching staff both sides. I'm
not gonna say both teams show. I think both teams
had elite pitching, especially the Dodgers and the Dodger you
(24:45):
were able to make that one play more than the
Blue Jays and that's why they are the World Series chances.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
Back to back.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Well, the Blue Jays will never and Jerry, I get it,
the Dodgers at your team and I get all that,
but if.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
You're on that Blue Jays team, there's no way you
walk away from that.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Where the Dodgers hit two oh three where you outscored
the Dodgers in.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
That series where you had inning after inning, Jerry of
a man on second and nobody out and you couldn't
bring in a run that you can live with that,
you can be beat. Okay, if TONI came up with
two outs in the night, did a home run a
tidy game, you can live with that. Miguel Roja had
(25:32):
one hit in a month, and you pitch from behind
with old Tani on deck and don't even throw your
best pitch and you and you want to giving up
a game time home run.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
You can't live with that, Jerry, you can't.
Speaker 10 (25:46):
Well, fans are gonna have to live with that.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
And I'm gonna.
Speaker 10 (25:51):
I'm gonna tell you some numbers. Toronto. They hit two
six as a team to the Dodgers two oh three,
thirty four one score to the Dodgers twenty six, Blue
Jays seventy five hits to the Dodgers fifty three. So
I understand Rob what your take is, because they did
(26:15):
out hit and how really kind of play the Dodgers
most innings. And I'm gonna go to the era the
Blue Jays t e RA three twenty one Dodgers three
ninety five. Here's the thing and every facet. Yes, the
Blue Jays did outperform the Dodgers. But here's the thing, Brown,
(26:37):
You've talked about it all the time. The clutch gene
is real. The clutch gene is real. They go Ross
had it, Bertie Freeman had it in Game three, and
I obvious see Will Smith's had it with that go
ahead home run. And I'm not I mean, we gotta
give much love to them motive. How about him dominating
(26:59):
as a starter and then closed out the World Series.
So even though the Blue Jays, they listen, they can
make claim they have played the Dodgers. But the Dodgers
had that clutch gene. And you know this, You know
that you have to have that clutch gene in order
to win. Then just find the way to win.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
And I'll say this too, uh And I know ya
Momoto MVP and and the three wins and that that's
real hard to do and closing it out in the
game seven. But I'll tell you Will Smith, nobody got
more clutch hits with run of the scoring positions, all right,
Jerry like like he got in game in game six,
(27:41):
he got the two out hit to get the first
run in. Then Mookie wound up hitting, you know, knocking
in the other two. But he got the first one.
He had a home run, he was on base, and
he kept getting those big outs and starting stuff with
two outs and nobody on will will Smith had a
tremendous World Series.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
He did.
Speaker 10 (27:57):
There's a reason why I call him America Catcher. I mean, seriously,
he continues to get big hit after big hit. That
go ahead home run proven to me the difference in
Game seven. And what about the job he did behind
the plate?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Oh yeah, you.
Speaker 10 (28:13):
Talking about the Dodgers pictures. Guess is calling the pitches.
Will Smith, He's behind the plate. That's why he deserves
all the credit, all the praise. Will Smith is an
absolute difference maker. And he had an epic World series.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Hey, Jay, hare real quick for me because we just
talked about a lot of that and a lot of this.
So you know this man, because I've spent some years
with you on pre and posts and Dave Roberts gets
a lot of flack over the years, but the last
couple of postseasons, for the most part, he has pressed
all the right buntons, pulled all the right levers tell
me just where he is now and maybe even where
the organization feels he is as a manager.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
He is a Hall of Fame manager. Guaranteed he's going
in the Hall of Fame someday whenever he hangs it
up what he's done in the last fete postseasons. And
you know, the Dodgers kind of get knocked a little
bit for their analytics. Yes, say lot use analytics. Analytics
is information, but manager Dave Roberts, along with jam Brandon Gomes,
(29:12):
along with President Andrew Friedman, they take that information but
also understand what's going on in the field. They don't
make certain changes during the postseason like they did. You
know what, we're gonna start Migo Ross. Well, guess what
analytics says, don't start mego Ross. We're gonna start mentally
because it's our gut. He starts Game six, is a
(29:33):
difference maker with his glove, and in Game seven he's
a difference maker with his glove and obviously with his bat.
They are able to see the game, watch the games.
They are students of the game and are able to
make changes. That's the any of this organization. They don't
they don't just hang on every analytic. They use information,
(29:55):
but they also use what's going on in the field
at the present time. And at the present time, they
Mizzo Ross was a guy for the job, and he
came up and proved him right in a big way.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Well, let me say this, Jerry, and I agree with that. Okay,
he did. He came up.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
That's like one a magical moment in your life that
you can never live. A game time home run in
the World Series. I mean, kids in every backyard you
dream of that or you you know what I mean, Jerry, Like,
I get that, But I want to say to you,
if he doesn't come through and all these moves and
all this stuff you talk about, this would have been
a billion dollar flop had the Dodgers lost, And then
(30:33):
the conversation would have been, why did Mooki only get
three or four hits in the World Series? Why did
Freddie Freeman not come through as he normally does. Like,
there's a lot of stuff you could look at up
and down that they were very close to this not happening,
and a lot of fingers would have been pointed at
a lot of people, and why the Dodgers struggled so much.
Speaker 10 (30:55):
But here's the deal, Rob, You know, there's of all people,
if that was it, I was a fifth, we'd all
be drunk. If Ray Allen doesn't hit that shot, kye
Lean doesn't hit that shot, right, But the fact of
the matter is they did hit that shot. The fact
of the matter is Miguel ROAs did hit that long run,
(31:16):
was clutched defensively, and the Dodgers did enough to win
the World Series. So that's that's that's what's settling. Champions.
They trained a way to win. If Michael Jordan misses
that shot in Utah Game six, does they win a
sixth rate? We don't know. But he didn't miss that shot.
He didn't miss that shot. So that's the difference. Don't
(31:39):
give me the in rock bro. Me and you are boys, Bro, you.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Know better than that, Kanye said, I guess we'll never know.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
I guess. Appreciate it, man, Appreciate you. Keep me in
your prayers, brother, Love you guy, Love you guys. Appreciate you, buddy. Thanks.
Speaker 1 (31:58):

daily disad.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
How'd you do? All right?
Speaker 3 (34:15):
Let's go real quick shakosity On Friday, I didn't mat
regular fifty eight and fifty five.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
I had a good night on a good weekend with
pigskin pickoff right, rober g what do you mean you
don't know you should be on that? No, he said,
I got to next Fridays. What he said? All what?
Speaker 8 (34:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:33):
I don't know what I did. Actually, I don't think
I did good. I want might have went.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Oh I think I got I don't know. All right,
lucky about the spread. The spread might have saved me.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
I got the Dallas Cowboys minus three and a half.
Best bet Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
I don't know what they are, just a mess. They
are mess talking about the backup.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Quarterback in there, not their starting quarterback. I got the
Milwaukee Bucks minus six and a half. They're in Indiana.
Take a on the Pacers, who can't win a game
and looking good so far. Also, I got the Timberwolves
minus eight and a half against Brooklyn who can't win
the game. I mean Brooklyn, so again, Timberwolves minus eight
and a half, the Bucks minus six and a half
(35:15):
in the Dallas Cowboys minus three and a half.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
And remember what, I'm not telling you who to bet on.
I'm telling you who I bet on.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
And I lost seven hundred dollars this past weekend because
I bet on the Blue Jays, no on the on
the Pelicans to cover.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
I knew they weren't going to win the game, and
they hadn't won a game yet.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Like had they hit you the one seven hundred? So
I'm like, man, won fifty dollars bet. That's what I'm
looking for. Yeah, yeah, that's a little bit checking for
the one second. I mean, you did pick the Pelicans up.
I mean I did. It was thirteen and a half.
I just figured they've been so bad. Thats a chance,
you know what I mean? I get you don't figure
no more. It's the Pelicans that I just should have
done the other three or four teams. I mean, that's
(35:55):
the That's what happened with Parlays. That's the things are hard, man,
That is the problem. Well, you gotta here with Kyler Murray,
what do you well?
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Rob g.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Rumor mil Well Kyler Murray Martin was brought up a
little bit as well as a rumor from questionable reporting,
any reporting, sound reporting or is this just people?
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Yeah, it's speculation.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
See, at least we acknowledge that the problem is people
just go around saying stuff is real. We at least
acknowledged a little things from.
Speaker 12 (36:24):
There's speculation in and around Arizona and even nationally with
a couple of reporters give me names who said that
this was. If I had it in front of me,
I could tell you. But the speculation want to keep off. Okay,
go ahead, Robie, you can set it up. Go ahead ahead, I'm.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
All right.
Speaker 12 (36:43):
Speculation is that Kyler Murray, who has been injured now
was supposed to be a one week injury, has suddenly
been out for multiple weeks, and mart mentioned it in
an update there that there was talk that he was questionable,
that even though he's not starting tonight, that he could
come in for a special package. We're like, well, if
he's hurt, why would you have a special package? And
(37:03):
the reason being is that the scuttle butt around the
team is that they are quietly benching Kyler Murray, that
they don't want anyone to know they're benching him because
if they move off in this offseason, they want his
trade value to be as high as fo that he's hurt,
that he can be recovered by the end of the season,
and that would be the end of the story.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Okay, So.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
The other teams who might be interested. They don't they
haven't heard the scuttle but or they don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
You took the words about ain't nobody They either like
Kyler Murray and that's a guy.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Oh well, we're going to hide it that we benched him,
and then somebody will be tricked into.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Oh so you benched him. He wasn't really hurt and
we've signed him today. We just took over all that
money contract.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
If you're announcing this on a national radio show, I'm
hoping that the GM when they do their due diligence
to say what happened, that they would know.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
There's a Kevin O'Connell, there's a Sean McVeigh. There's somebody
who says I can change him. And you want him
or you don't. You either like them or you don't.
Speaker 6 (38:14):
This is not this.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
This is the same thing, almost equivalent to win a
baseball team that's thinking they may trade a guy at
the deadline, all of a sudden that guy doesn't start
that day.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
No, no, no, that's not my point. Okay, what is
the actors? If we we know Kyler Murray, either he's like,
what do you know? It doesn't matter if he was
a little hurt or.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
That exactly that that's my point, not not that we've
seen enough tape and then in a baseball game, they'll
take somebody out because they don't want him to get
hurt before they make the trade. Okay, but that's not
saying the trade deadline is tomorrow, so maybe that is
what they're doing. Okay, But you said your point was
that he was benched and they're trying to see if
(38:51):
they could get somebody else to take him because they're
acting like he's hurt, and that's the reason he's not
playing that there's a difference between those two.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
He ain't gonna get hurt.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Ain't nobody catch a little toddler run around you grabs,
you're trying to catch your toes.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Just a minute. Super Bowl wanted to pick him up.
