Speaker 2 (00:19):
You're listening to the best of the Odd Couple.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Let's start here from last night, Thursday Night football. I
don't know if it was entertaining or a snooze fest.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Well, it started out as a snooze fest. You know,
defense sometimes is good. But the Texans won a big
ball game. They really did. They beat the Buffalo Bills.
They neutralize right Josh Allen, mister Josh Allen, and they
won their third straight without CJ.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Stroud.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
So they're three and zero without their starting quarterback. That
defense is good. Rob g just give us a little
take on what happened Thursday night.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
It was this game dominated by that Texans defense. It
was quite possibly the most impressive defensive performance we've seen
by any NFL team in years, not just because of
who they did it against. Josh Allen, of course, is great,
but Houston's defense two picks, one forced fumble, three total takeaways,
eight sacks, eleven quarterback hits, twelve pressures, held Buffalo to

(01:22):
zero for two in the red zone, and in the
process held the team to less than twenty points for
the eighth time already this season. So basically eighty percent
of seventy the games they're keeping you under twenty points.
And in the process, you mentioned it, they did it
without their starting quarterback CJ. Shroud. Davis Mills and all
that neck had himself a very solid game. The numbers

(01:44):
don't quite do it justice, but in the process last
three games, Davis Mills completing about six percent of his passes,
seven hundred and nineteen yards, five touchdowns, one pick, eighty
eight passer rating. He's gone one hundred and thirteen consecutive
passes without an interception.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Which is great. He's only what you want from your
backup when they come in.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
He's only been sacked six times in the last three games,
which is a lot because their O line has not
been great throughout the season, and their three wins, two
of them Buffalo of course last night, and Jacksonville the
first game, have come against the playoff teams in the ANFC.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
And I'm gonna say this, I'm not overreacting or you know,
the hyperbole or anything. I'm gonna stick with Davis Mills
and not automatically run back to CJ. Stroud if I'm
the Texans, and I'm not saying that CJ. Stroud lost
his job because injury or anything. Sometimes you have something

(02:36):
going to hot hand. I think that you could take
a look at that. And obviously the defense is playing
really well. But what if we talked about the last
year and a half their offense with CJ. Stroud, right, like,
like remember after his rookie year, go back and look,
everybody picked them to go to the super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
It was it was you weren't You're not. That was
a sexy pick. Oh yeah, see CJ.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Stroud and the Texas, Oh my, oh yeah, he's just
a rookie looking away. How are you gonna stop that kid?
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And it's been
raggedy since then, since year one. Last year, like we
every every week we watched they can't score. That's why
I said to you before when they scored the forty

(03:26):
points against Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Like that was an aberration that was like, that was Baltimore.
That wasn't them, because they don't do that.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
And I'm not saying this is not Davis Mills putting
up forty points a game and oh my god, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
C J.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Stroud can never get back in there or whatever it is.
That's not what I'm saying. Something's working here. Three and
oh a couple of wins against playoff teams. Do you
remember It's a little different, but you were remember this
when New Orlando Magic upset Lebron James and the Cavaliers

(04:07):
to get to the NBA Finals. That was the NBA Finals.
We were waiting for Kobe and Lebron. Do you remember
Rob g the Puppets, Remember the muppets of those guys
all year that was supposed to be the finals and
it never happened. You know why because Dwight Howard and
Turker Glue and and skipped Tom Alou. Okay, they had

(04:29):
a nice little squad, and then what happened they got
to the finals. They changed their rotation, skipped them, Alou
not starting anymore less. Mer Nelson, who had played in
two months three three like he had, he was their guy.
I get it, but he hadn't played in like two

(04:50):
or three months. He got healthy ready to play in
the finals. They messed up everything that that team had going.
I would say, Jamia, you're a god. We got something.
I can't make that change. Skip to Malou was leading
that team as the point guard.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
He's still upset about it to this day, to this day,
and rightfully so Tho, cause you get you get the
team to the finals, and then you make a lineup change.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I'm just saying. I'm not saying the Texans aren't in
the super Bowl or whatever, and I'm not saying CJ.
Stroud's washed there and move on or Davis Mills is
taking his job and he can't get it back. I'm
waiting for David Davis Mills have a bad game. That's
what I'm waiting for, for him to go back, turn
into a pumpkin, and then I could go back to CJ.

(05:37):
Stroud after that. But I'm not making a change until
he plays poorly and the team loses.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
You know what, I wanted to go crazy at you
because I thought, as you were setting it up, I
didn't know how far you were going to go with this,
and I thought you were basically saying CJ. Stroud get
out of here for the whole time. You know, like
basically no more. This is Davis Mills team. So I
was ready to go crazy at you, but then you,
you brought it back down. I'll give you an example,
went them. Yeah, you're never going crazy. No, you want

(06:06):
me check out my text from everybody. Your boy, I
heard your boy. You know what I'm gonna give you.
I'm gonna I'm gonna even add to what you were saying.
Steve Berlin was that ninety one I think it was
ninety one playoffs if I'm not mistaken with the yep, yep,
it was Steve Berlin with the Cowboys. Comes in Troy
aik when it's Troy ak when we know what he's doing.
He's doing they're playing well, he gets injured. They have

(06:27):
been playing really well. Uh Berlin comes in. They were
playing okay, he gets some a list. They going to
run thing. They around like six something straight. They were
just all of a sudden playing great. The offense was vibing,
and they decided to go with him instead of Troy Aikman,
who got back healthy and Sosiut in the postseason, they
ultimately would lose, and and to this.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Day they debate that.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
If you watch the Jerry Jones doc, you know they
still Troyik was still upset about it. Uh, Jimmy Johnson's
you know still Hey, I went with what I thought
to your point, I went with the hot guy. I
want the guy that got us a bunch of wins.
So that's an example of of what your yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
And it's not to disrespect CJ or say, you know,
you lost your gig, you got hurt and you're out,
but I like what they have going.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
The only reason why I'll challenge you is because they
started to get something going prior to CJ going down.
So CJ was starting to get it going. We know,
the offensive line had been much beligned, they had not
been playing well, had him running for his life. But
then the last few games, CJ started to get it going.
So before the injury, he had a three to one record,

(07:32):
rob he had wins over the Ravens, the forty nine ers,
he had nine touchdown only two interceptions, and then they
were beating the Broncos before he went down with that concussion,
so that could have been maybe four and one, and
so they were starting to write the ship, starting to
get this thing going. And again with a defense like that,
they were always in it. So if he were looking
like he were the end of last season beginning of

(07:53):
this season, I would totally get what you're saying, and
I would say, you know what, I can't really argue
with you. The only thing was to MEJ was starting
the ball and again nine touchdowns, two interceptions, three to
one record, they were rolling. He started to have pass
the ball will get more yard is the offense was
getting more explosive.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
A lot of that was in that Baltimore game. No,
I'm talking about just other games as well.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
So what I'm saying a lot a lot of a
lot of the nine touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Right, I mean, look at it. So you look at
the Niners game, which was right here. So he goes
thirty for thirty nine, three hundred and eighteen yards, two touchdowns.
I mean, he was playing very well. So this is
the Baltimore game. He had two hundred and forty four
or four touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
That's what I'm saying. The boat of the four tds
is a big day. I don't know where was the
last time CJ. Stroud had four touchdowns maybe the rookie year,
you know what, jump on him. But my point was
he was getting it going. He was turning the corner.
The team was, So that's why I'm going back to him.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I get what you were saying if this were the
earlier part of the season, because you're look at the
beginning of the season.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
For him, it was bad.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Zero touchdowns and an interception, only one hundred eighty yards
on hundred and seven yards touchdown, no interceptions, but it
was still a loss. Another loss to the Jags, and
he had two hundred yards, a touchdown, two interceptions, You
know what I mean. So that beginning, if we were
sitting here and it was after that, I totally be
with you. But for me, it just changes because he
was starting to play well. Three and one, nine touchdowns,

(09:19):
two inner steps. They were heading in the right direction.
So it's his job to lose while playing not injured.

called over Promised. You see, we're having so much fun
in our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy is over promising things we never have

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah, you blubber list lame in me.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
Well you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women

sure you check out over Promised and also Uncensored by

little harder.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
The Bills, Yeah, Bill's been coming in. They had been playing,
starting to kind of pick it up a little bit
for themselves, and you know, obviously one of those teams
they're starting to get into that terrier turp. You gotta
show it, you gotta prove it. You've been good. We
know how good Josh Allen is. You got to prove it.
And it ain't got shalapped. Defensively last night. The defensive
the Texans played very very well, and you start to

(10:59):
look at the stats a little bit for Josh Allen
and they were not great. First of all, most he's
ever been sacked in his career. Eight times he was sacked,
So that starts right there. The defense was going crazy
for the Texans. But what I started to see rob
is holding on the ball too long. Yes, well leads

(11:20):
me to my point of this watching them in the conversation,
we've had a couple of time with the Bills. One
of the issues that I have with the Bills is
that they are so Josh Allen reliant. He's two and
seven in games where he doesn't score a touchdown. You know,
It's like he has to do everything the game before last.
Three touchdowns in the air, three touchdowns on the ground.

(11:40):
He's Superman. He's doing it all. And I'm gonna go
back to somebody who's always had his number. He has
his number in the regular season, Patrick Mahomes has his
in the postseason. We both sat here, and you know
I'll be sitting there right with you, agreeing. Patrick Mahomes
looked at the loft. The offense was off. He was
trying to make a lot happen. He was down a
lot of receivers. But one thing they could rely on
was that defense to keep him. Again, what have we
just been saying, I've been really screaming for the last year.

(12:03):
So the Texans defense keeps them in games where they
got a chance to win it, at least they might lose,
at least they got a chance.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
And the Bills don't have that.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Josh Allen doesn't have that luxury of the defense can
just take over for me. Who I was a little
off today, Turn it off, turn the ball over a
little bit. He doesn't have that. The running game, James
Cook is talented. Had one hundred plus yards forty five
on one run. But they don't run the ball with him.
You know, where we're gonna twenty five to thirty five rushes,
where we're gonna dominate the clock, We're gonna dominate the

(12:31):
line of screamings.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
They don't do that.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
And that's the concern to me, because if you talk
about the postseason, to win a Super Bowl, you're going
to have to win four games or three games, And
I don't think that's fair to ask Josh Allen to
be Superman for four or three games straight. Because Patrick Mahomes,
you like to bring it up all the time he's
won super Bowls not playing that great. In fact, he

(12:54):
hasn't played great, and probably most of his Super Bowl
appearances he's been either mid or bad, maybe one exception
once or twice. Peyton Manning one of the greatest of
all time. Postseason ain't always that great. Super Bowls definitely
weren't always that great, but yet and still super Bowl winner,
postseason wins.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Tom Brady wasn't always the best.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
And that's the thing with the Bills to me, they're
so that much is gonna be on the shoulders of
Josh Allen that that's not fair in order to make
a Super Bowl run four games or three games if
you get a bye and you have to be spectacular
superman every single week, it's not fair.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
It's not realistic. Most quarterbacks aren't.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
When you look at their Super Bowl runs, they've had
games where they weren't that great.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
They have games will thank god the defense came through
for me.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
They had games where, man, we just handed the ball
off thirty five to forty times and got the job done.
So that's the one thing that worries me. Josh Allen
for the most part, has been spectacular throughout his career,
especially the last handful of seasons. But is that fair
to go into a postseas and say, all right, it's
all on you get it done for us. Yes?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Fair?

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I thought he was the MVP last year. This is
what he does, right, So every time he loses, then
you go, will you do him any help? Is he
Lebron James?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
He don't.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
But when he loses, it's too much to put on him.
But that's why he's the MVP because he gets running in.
You just said he's the best dual threat quarterback in
the history of the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
So do your business. Win a championship. You're that good.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
You're the driving force. I don't want to hear any excuses.
You won all these games, Rob G. Having the Bills
won the most games over the last four or five years, Like, seriously,
they've piled up the wins, they haven't won the big game.
So I don't want to hear it, come big time game,
that it's not fair that he has to win by
hisself and he don't have any help.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
How the hell did he win MVP with no help?
He was that good?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
So now win the game, winning in the win the
big game doing that Superman.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Here's where that's That's all I'm saying. But here's where
that's that's not realistic. Wow, the regular season, how many
times we set up here, Rob G. We just talked
about you.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Only gotta win three games to get to the super
to get to the super.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Bowl, right what, you're playing high caliber teams the regular
season if you're in the AFC East, just like he
has been dominating it, just like Tom Brady did, dominating
you pretty much gott games.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Now you're poo poolling tom Brady's run.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
And tom Brady absolutely had an easier run. Okay, I'm
just because he got six want to hear that.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Oh no, yeah, yea.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Before the season he went like this, he stretched put
on his helmet. Six and those guys Blake wants to
say always six and oh oh wet even took the
mild back.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Then all they had to do was win two games
to get to the super Bowl. Two.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, and mind you, you know, usually you're six and
oh and there's always gonna be you know, you know,
every every season you get a division. So if they
give you the bump NFC South, for instance, it was
never really you know, had bum seasons. Then you get
the NMC SYL. All right, we gonna win at least
three for them. Now you ten and one, as off
the off the bat, you're already a really good team.
You already got a good system, of good program, you know,

(16:03):
a good good organization. But we already started off ten
and ouht ten and one. So I say that to say,
sometimes you get you just beat your division, you beat
some bad teams, you get to a postseason. Now everybody
is at least good, if not good to great. That's
why I need some help. That's why I need to
lean on the defense. That's why I need to leave
on a run. That's why I need to leave maybe
an offensive schematics that can, you know, manipulate things, not

(16:25):
just say all right, did.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
You see last night they read? They always rant five
times a row.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Josh Hellen, here you go, run it again, run it again,
run it again, run it again. Man if y'all don't
come up with something else, and that's why they look bad,
you know again, when a team can just say, all right,
we shut him down, that's a rap. Patrick Mahomes last season,
some other teams defense is said, Tom Brady, we talk
We talked about the start on the first half, the
first three or four of them seven rings for him.

(16:51):
He was relying on special teams and defense. I'll make
a couple of plays here there out of special teams.
Adam vine Terry one of the greatest all time. I'm
gonna get you down there, winn this for me.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
I'll tell you that Adam Vinitarry could have missed two
kicks and you wouldn't even be talking about Tom Brady
like that.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
I doubt I don't have an argument to rams totally change. Seriously,
the Panthers, I mean he had a handful of those. Yeah, yeah,
I mean that Panthers Super Bowl. Nobody remembers that was lit.
The kicker kicked the ball out of bound, set him
up at the forty couple of pass and then they
kicked it and they lost the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
So again, but that's part of the game. So that's
that's just my thing. I just think for Josh Allen,
I know he has to be like man. I can't
have to do again her two and seven if he
doesn't score a touchdown. Like there's plenty of quarterbacks who
win games. They don't have to score a touchdown because again,
defense came through offense. Maybe you know, I made a
few plays I just didn't score as a touchdown. He's

(17:45):
two and seven, like he They are all lining up
in him, and they've known this now for a handful
of seasons, which is why organizationally, rob I thought by
now they would be remedying that by now, and they
have it.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
So you're saying he's not gonna win a Super Bowl.
He's not not this year. No, I'm and I'm just saying.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Not this year. I can meeting next year. They might
all of a sudden come back with a Texans type deef.
I'll talk to you then this season, They're not gonna
You can't do that. You can't say for four or
three games, be superman. You can't be mad. You know,
quarterbacks been mad in the postseason, you know, I mean
he won Super Bowls and Patrick Rowles might go down
to the greatest, one of the greatest, top two three
and he has not looks techlar in postseason games in.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
The playoffs for on all sports.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
We've seen that, right in Beads Nothing James balling out
of his mind getting that postseason.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Dodgers just went up, just won a World Series. Show, Hey,
Mookie and Freddie didn't hit.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Go look at it.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
No, I know that they not average like what three
runs of games and right, they didn't hit and they
still won a World Series. I'm put that my point.
The pitching was there, right, you had some time, he
had some other elements to it. You had great guys
coming off the bench. That's my point. You need other elements.
You can't judge what you're gonna do. Judge can you
get it done every single week, every single week in

(19:00):
the postseason, of all the times of season. That's too
hard to do.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Rob g we got a big game this coming Sunday.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
Oh, that's an understatement. It is the game of the
century settled. Are you kidding right now?

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Everybody in there?

Speaker 5 (19:28):
Uncle, We're talking Super Bowl Sunday level television ratios coming
up this Sunday.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
They should have flexed it Manday night, Sunday night.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
You should have made this Sunday night. I care about
Bucks Rams. Let me get Shador Sanders in his NFL debut.
Take it on Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Yeah, Raiders four.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Point home favorites in the game that we're expecting fireworks. No,
we're not. This is gonna be a tough game. It's
gonna be a rough watch for everybody.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
It is.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
No one's gonna enjoy it. In fact, leading up to
this game Fox sports dot Com, he's some great work
over there. Talk to several anonymous scouts to get their
thoughts on Shador leading into Sunday's game.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Kelvin, here we go. This This ain't the fanboys.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
These are the scout to work in the National Football Yeah,
and for the most part, they all said, Hey, that
was an absolutely terrible debut for sixteen.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
You know, it was rough.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
He's gonna be better next week. Don't judge him just
on that game. However, One scout said, Shadeur look quote
uncomfortable and jumpy, more so than any other quarterback he's
evaluated in their debut. Another scout said, everybody's expecting him
to bounce back, you know, because he's gonna have a
week to prepare, so we should be better. This scout says,

(20:47):
I'm not so sure about that because he didn't prepare
for the draft process, So how are we sure he's
gonna put that kind of effort leading into this game
here on Sunday against the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
I ain't like that. That was cool with the first cup.
I ain't like that. I ain't like that one bit.
See now you're about to go make me be go
get the the Barry Sanders jersey that's supposed to be
Chaudu jersey.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Ye go.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
I know.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
Was I heard of Dan patrick uh promo promo? What
he said about the people in the media who are
carrying Dion and Chador's water. I mean, yeah, I like that.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
I bet you due all right, Chadure. There are a
lot of people carrying their water again. I can't wait
for the thirty for thirty to come out, Shador Sanders.
This is how I feel you, Shadure, go into this game.
You are absolutely auditioning for thirty two teams, Yes, thirty two,
because you're even auditioning for Cleveland, which I think is
probably the least of your opportunities. I think he is
auditioning because you got to go into this game prepared.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Obviously, you people are watching.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
People have questioned your preparedness and how you know, how
you go about it. Some people are giving you the
benefit of doubt. Hey got thrust in there. Some people
are saying it doesn't matter. You're supposed to be ready,
so you know all eyes are gonna be watching it.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
The game on paper is a terrible game. Dylan kills me.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
But what about about not being ready? You're a backup.
Guess what your job is to be ready? It's to
be ready.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
But when we've had we've had people come out and say, oh,
you're supposed to get summer. Some people haven't said you're
not supposed to get done. So you come into this
one all I know is all eyes are on you
and fast.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
So Kurt Warner said, the backup didn't get any reps
When I was the number one, I wanted all the reps, right.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Well, I mean, but you're also MVP, you get it.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
But I'm just saying so it's not as uncommon because
because you see Rex Ryan and he'll go there and goes,
this is strange, like you know, he's making it like
something's going on, and he and he never heard of
a backup.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
And that's why I said it something, because you know
we've heard something come out.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
I texted a couple of folks.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Ephraim Salam was one of the said yeah, we would
give him a few a few reps throughout the week
just to keep Dan Olowski was on the set. He said, no,
I was there for years. I not get any reps.
So everybody's gonna be watching more than the Browns Raiders
warrants for sure, but everybody's gonna be watching to see
because it's either gonna be hoping he does well. You
can be hoping he does bad, but everybody's gonna be watching.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Hoping that he does bad. Did you want me to
call you by name?

Speaker 1 (23:11):
No, I don't know a lot of people prop don't
do that. You know he's polarizing. Don't do that. Nobody said,
what are you talk snuck frod Park, don't play with
me right now? It's a Friday. We'd have made it
through the week and show us him.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Don't play with me? Who's rooting from the mail?

Speaker 1 (23:28):
I wish I knew the eighty five million people who
are by name, so I can tell you. So I
just have to give you a number. Can't called sports
is polarizing. Some people watch Patrick Mahomes and hope he
people watch Lloyd May whether to get his head knocked
off or to knock somebody else's head off. That's what
sports is. A lot of times, fifth rown draft, Stop it, Rob.

(23:50):
You're gonna be sitting there with baby oil. If he
goes and throws four interceptions and only gets eighty yards,
I'm calling off on Monday if that happens.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Ain't nobody gonna hear what you got to say.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
So anyway, he's auditioning for every other team in his NFL.
If you gotta think the Browns will look for an
opportunity to trade him, and he's kind of in a
lose lose situation where if he plays well, Rob Parker
on Monday.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Is gonna say this.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Let me tell you what Rob Parker's social dur wins
the game, they win by seven. He's gonna have two
hundred and eighty five yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
And here's what Rob Parker's gonna say. It's the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
They call him General Hospital because sick people come and
get better.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
It's the Raders. Rob g doesn't even watch the Raiders.
He's a Raiders fan.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
That's easy. I could throw three touchdowns against the Raiders.
He loses and throws three interceptions.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
I told you he's a bomb.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
What are you?

Speaker 3 (24:46):
His debut was a day But.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
You're laughing because you know it's the truth. So he's
in a lose lose situation. He plays well, it's the Raiders.
He's supposed to plays like terrible. I knew he wants more.
That's why he's a fifth round. Go out there, play
your best, do well and know that other teams are
watching and they're willing to give up a fifth round
and go ahead and get traded to go somewhere.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Okay, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yes, if he plays the everybody else has beat the
Raiders like a drum. Seriously, if he plays poor league,
fumbles a couple of interceptions, holds on to the ball
for sacks, what will be the excuse, Seriously, because it
can't be got a week with the with the number one,
then it will be he doesn't have any weapons, or

(25:28):
Stefanski doesn't want him to succeed, or the offensive line
like at some point, like I used to say, with
Justin Fields, you can't be on three different teams and
different coaches and different offensive coordinators and different offensive lines,
and it's always something, well if he was, if he's
on this scene, well it ain't fair because Justin Fields

(25:50):
and the Bears they've never had a quarterback. Well, well,
you can't blame him because the Jets they always think,
no matter who the like, at some point, right yeah,
at some point you have to play better. And that's
all I'm saying. He completed his first two passes and
then went two for fourteen.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Here's my counter to that. Rap. That's it.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
That would be officially what one and a half games,
give or take for him. If he does what you're said, well,
then we gotta get rid of JJ McCarthy because he
didn't have five six games and a whole year last
year just to be there, be on the team, learning offense,
be you know, you just be with the organization.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
And he lives like a bomm at times. There's a difference.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
So my point is no, no, no, I'm gonna stop you
because what you're doing is the classic comparing a guy
who was drafted in the first round compared to a
guy who's in the fifth round. And there's a huge
difference on why Baker Mayfield got another chance, on why
Sam Darnold got another chance.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Because they were first round picks.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
So they are always going to get where somebody feels
like they can get another thing. If he fails this
year and doesn't play well, it might be, yeah, he
could play in the league and be a backup or
third string quarterback. It ain't automatic that he's going to
get shador and automatic he's gonna get a first a

(27:15):
starting job, is what I'm saying. Whereas those guys, despite
them stumbling and having some issues, were first round of
talent evaluators, and they look at people I'm saying what
I'm saying the same. JJ was the tenth pick, what
was he tent and Shad was a fifth round JJ
has way more rope to develop than than Chaudor.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
By the way, Chaudor looked better as a passer in
college than what you beat in college.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Can you give him name? Name the team he beating? Car?
He had a losing record in Car Who he beat?
Who did he be? He was winning games? In Colorado?
They had a losing record.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
He has a losing winn Who did he?

Speaker 5 (28:00):
I don't know who.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
I don't know. Colorado's schedule, they'd be one school right one?
And what was TCU? We found out later on? What
do we find out? Rob g They were gazing, they
were gauge.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
They were coming off being in the National championship game, right,
So when they beat them, that's when everybody went Colorado crazy.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Oh my god, you didn't believe.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
You didn't believe. You can't ask me question. He was
talking about do you believe? And then that's my boy
out damn telling you, why not, my boy? Do you believe?
And then and then all we're out here playing darn football.
He loves a good darn And then and then all
of a sudden, all those people were flying in.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Everybody even at your boy was there Steven was there
on the side, and Colorado's and all that, and.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
And they were doing concerts with Lil Wayne before before
the game.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
All that sound like it sounded like a good old
time rob g. What happened to that? In the second half,
they just didn't even show up. They stopped.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
All I know is the Chador led Buffalo's one what
six or seven eight games that year? They won one
before they got there. Okay, that's all I know. That's
all I'm saying. Be one ranked opponent, and that it
is Colorado. They ain't playing, you know, an insane schedule. No,
but they're not an SEC. But he had a losing record,

(29:21):
they were timing.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Can you imagine a quarterback with a losing record having
their number retired?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
This mat Colorado. That's my boggling. Then you acting like
they got some he was.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
He had a winning record, first of all, for don't
disrespect what why I'm glad I'm here? Had a losing record.
He was thirteen and twelve at Colorado. Take that for data.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Are you adding in how many bowl games?

Speaker 1 (29:45):
And he was thirteen and toy They started off four
and eight, he was nine and four the next year.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
Take that for data, Hey, Rob, who they came to
Williams be in college?

Speaker 3 (29:52):
I want to know. Now that's a real one. He
at seed t.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Was a Heisman trophy sports got a short That's why
he was to be even.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
He was a Heisman who was supposed to beat some
people at USC with Lincoln Riley, the man offensive guru.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
You two years. He ain't doing nothing.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
You asked Lincoln Roley who he's beat Because he's beating nobody.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Caleb william They ain't even went bar from barb with
Caleb so compromised right now, he's like, not only am
I Caleb guy got the jingle, but I also worked
for USC.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Don't you question about that?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (30:24):
You know I am no company man. I've never been
a company man, usc.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Hey, Rob Aaron Jude druck out for the fourth time
to that.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
What do you think?

Speaker 5 (30:33):
Well, it's you know, it's a tough game.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Good pitching over there, Cayleb Williams, all that talent, all
that u us. He ain't do nothing. That's Lincoln Roley's problem.
Yeah whatever, No, my heisman winning quarter but it is
