Ninety two to three to fan in Cleveland and the
host of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
He'll join us in about twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Eight minutes plus last call in case you weren't able
to get in on some of these other topics, you'll
have a chance to jump in as well. So here
we are already our number three Magic City Monday.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Oh that's right, flying by Rob g.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
The Rams, who have been on a tear this season
man not playing around with teams, got another win behind
Matthew Stafford. The Bucks. They'll just be down injured. Even
Baker Mayfield shoulder all jacked up. They come into that
game underdogs, but they ended up getting blown out, blowed out,
as Rob would say, blowed out.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
But before we get to the Rams, can I pull
the curtain back? I want you uh slamming in reverse,
get to the youtubeans because the odd mob is in
full effect.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
You to night. I got some.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Comments, just a couple that I really wanted to get
to that really tell the story about what's happening on
this show tonight. All I want to say is they're
ripping me. So, I mean, this is one that's very
complimentary of you. It says shout out to Rob, him
and Jason were like the only ones keeping it honest
about Shador Sanders.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
That's good to me. I'm just then that's good. That's
good for you, and that's not good. And then never
ever ever on this what would you rather saying about Calvin?

Speaker 5 (02:35):
No, I can't believe Calvin is saying this about your
doory is such a simp Okay there.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
No, I'd rather be a Simpat. I don't want to
be in that conversation.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I don't want since the next time that name comes,
do not put my name in the same center.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
So that's what's happening right now on on you. That's
that's all you got.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
So Jason would like and Simps got no one else.
Now we got a what a show, my favorite show
of all time? What a way to start my days?

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Raban listening to Rob anytime? This Stephen a Smith? But
you like Steve doesn't want to read that on that?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not saying he's a big part of
our show. I don't even realize. Well, hold on, now,
he ain't called in since I've been here. What's up
with that?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
In a whole on the show? Put the can. Don't
worry about that. Okay, let me make my point. My
point is, what's up with that? He usually calls in that?
Oh he he get one hundred and twenty mil. He
don't know how to act. Now he don't want to
at your boy the small people. According to the simpletons today,

(03:36):
that's three interceptions for b Rock Party and they just
fumbled and luckily got it back before that play.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Do the Fortyers want to win?

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I told you that they wasted that money on Brock.
Anybody could be doing this.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
One more quick question before we get to the ramps here,
Rock Purty should do it, Imak.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I'm gonna take your doing.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
Now.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
We've all never been a Brock Party, so you can say,
like people all, I was never.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
A broad rob g no, never been a black perty never.
So it ain't about no sugar war and all that.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
He's one of the few white quarterbacks who I will
say that's a race. We're all fortunate enough. We've seen
Stephen a in the wild and we've seen him with
the security right. We've seen that he's when Steve and
A's driving around in the car and he's listening to
the yard couple, which he does. We've we've seen the
text messages. Does he drive himself or does he have
a driver?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
That's a good question. He's driver level. He has to
be right. If he has a security guard, he's got
to have a driver. He's driver level Rob, you would
know they answer that question, Robbie. Listen, then we're talking
about I'm doing a Rob Parker imitation in case field.
My audience doesn't know Steve drives.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I don't know people call him East Well, we all
call him Steve because that's what we knew him as
when he's a break like Coca cola.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Now you can't, you can't call it Coca cola ce.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
See. Yeah, my good friend Bobby d who's not Robert
de Niro.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
No, no, but you know, when you have a relationship
with somebody that's his name on what's called but that's
not I've never that, that's all.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
It's hard for me to even.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
It's like my relatives, right if my relatives they'll call
you Rob.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
They it's weird if they call me Rob. If you
got a hundred million dollar contract, they better call you
right now.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
They would call me Bobby or uncle Bobby, like like seriously,
like they've never used my they've never called me Rob ever.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Hearing my own family say my name correctly is funny.
They only say it correctly to y'all, like if you
were if you were.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Saying, oh yeah, yes. She was said, yeah, I'm Kelvin's mother,
I'm Kelvin's wife, I'm Kelvin.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Since they would never say but how they say it
at home, y'all know y'all, y'all spelled money, y'all created
my name, right, we can say it right. So trust me,
I get it. Family saying how they want to say it.
But anyway, tell Steven A to call on it. Put
the camera on me, stephen A. It's been over a
year now. The only time you called in the show
is the stuff that Alex drops. Because I had to

(05:51):
run up on your people in the streets in New
Orleans at the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I ran them down.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
They were like, hey, you want to say something to
Steven He I say yeah, put the camera on me.
I said, boy, help me, help me out. Trying to
work with Rob every day and that's how we got that.
So tell him to call it.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I was gonna call him, Steven. Look at you, af sideways.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
I can't Steven A call into the show's Steve.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I'm gonna be a work with mad Rob Parker. Hey,
don't never call him. He'll never called me a gage.
I don't know you like that. Rob Parker it's just
the facts. It's all right, guys. Back to the big
game last night. It was a blowout Rams bug on
Baker Mayfield. He only played after the game and the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
But the big story coming out of that game less
about the final score and more about damn Matthew Stafford's
gonna run away with his MVP finished twenty five to
thirty five, two seventy three, three more touchdowns, zero picks.
He leads the NFL right now with thirty passing touchdowns.
His thirty to two TV interception ratio makes him the
fourth player ever to have that ratio. All the other

(06:48):
guys won the MVP that season, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes,
Aaron Rodgers. Guys, we are witnessing history right now. Not
only are the Rams currently the odds on favorite of
bet MGM to win the Super Bowl, Matthew Stafford runaway
favorite at this point to win his first MVP award.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, I think it's I mean, I think it's one
of those times where you remind me of John Lway,
not for so much for the MVPs, but John Alway
where it was like he finally got his Super Bowl
run at the end, had had a you know, obviously
one of the best careers ever, one of the better quarterbacks,
but he had a lot happening for him at the end.
This kind of feels like Matthew Stafford, where the last
four or five years you got a Super Bowl title,
some deep playoff runs. Now you got a chance at

(07:29):
an MVP, And it seems like he's getting all of
that at the end the back end of his career,
where he's finally with a stable organization and a good
co head coach who knows how to get the best
for him and a bunch of offensive weapons. My gosh,
DeVante Adams, all he want to do is catch touchdowns.
But ROBZ read some of those numbers. Rob, this is
kind of crazy. Actually, you saw all those Matthew Stafford
years where he'd be a good game than in that game,

(07:50):
or a couple of big time plays, but then a
couple of ones. He won back to have twenty seven
touchdowns right now without an interception. That's the streaky on
right now. That is incredible. Thirty touchdowns to two interceptions.
The offense has been playing well, the defense has been
lights out. They're running the ball. They kind of keep
you off guard because they run, they can pass. Their offense,

(08:11):
they're full. The full breadth of that team is scary
both everything they're doing on offensive defense, and it looks
like we know how it goes. He could be putting
up crazy numbers Joe Burrow, but if he weren't winning,
then you say, oh, man, look at Joe Borrow putting
on his number up. They're not winning. So for him
and his team to be winning, to be really the
favorite to go to the super Bowl and win it,
and him to be putting on these stats, it seems

(08:33):
like that that combination of two things. And again just
this kind of swan dive if you will, of him
the last little few years of his career. Mind you,
this was a team that was over here or hey,
you can go search a deal.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
They remember that.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Just this was six seven months ago where they were like, hey,
you can go find a deal.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
See what else is out there, go test the waters.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
So for this to be happening now it makes it
even more remarkable when there was a chance he was
gonna go be elsewhere. So now for them to be
finding and put this thing together and have having an
MVP candidate run is very impressive. How he's playing and
his team as a whole, and against credit to Sean
McVay too, because whoever the quarterback's been, this team, no defense,

(09:14):
better defense, more offensive, more defensive money.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
They just continue to play good football.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
And now they find themselves again as the leaders to
represent the NFC and then the Super Bowl. But this
looks like a to me rather the last few years
or Matthew Staffords will be the best few years. Biblically
they say the ladder shall be greater. That's kind of
what it seems like for him.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah, I'll have to wait and see how the story
all unfolds before I'm ready to say that this is
going to be some crowning moment or the end last
year that they wont to road against Philadelphia, had a
chance to win that game they lost for and out.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I wait and.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
See the weapons are there. He's playing well, the team
is playing well. But it will be about the final
It'll be about how this ends up to me, because
I think Matthew Stafford is one of those guys who
if it doesn't end up where you think they're going,

(10:11):
then people will have a different look at it, you
know what I mean? When they went Remember when he
showed up to Los Angeles, they had already gone to
a super Bowl with Jared Goll. He didn't he wasn't
a missing point to get them to a super Bowl,
right And even Matthew Stafford threw a game winning touchdown
to win the Super Bowl and he didn't even get

(10:32):
the MVP because he had two picks in that game.
So I think there's a place that if he were
to play better or were able to get there, then
it could change the way people.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Look at it.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
If he has I don't know, a stumble at the
end of the season, or say they play in a
playoff game and he throws a bad interception and they
lose that game and don't get to where they want,
I don't think people will feel the same about him.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And MVP is big about that if he's able to.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Hold on and win that and right now he's in
a great position to do that with the stats and
the team wins.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Trying to see the rest of their but you got
to see how how it all plays out. You know what.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
The reason why I think when you go back to
you know, in any MVP candidate, sometimes it storylines.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
I think because because a couple of weeks ago. Everybody
said Patrick Mahomes one of the.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Weeks ago, and Matthew Stafford was quietly just drugging along,
putting up numbers. And I think he's been your favorite quarterbacks,
favorite quarterback, And I do think that. That's why I
think I kind of feel the opposite. A lot of
people actually like him and want to will want to
see him succeed.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
For one, would he endure where you were against him?

Speaker 1 (11:39):
I'm saying he endured in Detroit, So I think a
lot of people are like, Wow, we finally got to
see him with a capable organization, and so far it's
been good. I think he's now five and I've watched
all these starts.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
I watched him and the Lions. They didn't lose every
game when Matthew Stafford was there. He had a Hall
of Famer and Kelvin john Calvin Johnson. Uh, they had
under I'm gonna consume Chris nick Nick that was the
number five defense, Go back.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
That flag.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
But you know what I'm saying. So when I hear
people talk like like he never played on a good
team or never had a chance to win the division,
that's just not true.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I was there, I covered all those games.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
I don't know how many seasons they lost to the
Packers the last game of the season and lost out
on the division, you know, and stuff like that. So
it's not like they were a wing sixteen every year
he was there and he never played.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
In games that matter. He didn't win any, but he
played in games that matter.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
They got just looking ahead, they got the Panthers next
week and then the Cardinals, so they got a couple
of you know, should wins obviously you can never and
then they got a big one here here in LA.
They'll be facing the Lions. That'll be a big one,
especially for the Lions because the Rams are so far
ahead right now.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
The Lions will definitely need that one.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
And then they got the Falcons and the Cardinals again
after the Seahawks, so they they got really really two
games that will be you know, on paper difficult, the
Lions and then the following week with the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
The rest are ones they should win.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
It'll be interesting to see how they do at the
end where they're going to be a team that will
rest guys. You know, if they play the Cardinals and
they already got the number one seed, like, will they
just keep it, keep the momentum, or will they sit guys,
you know, as they try to stay healthy. But I
think he's your favorites, like your favorite rappers, favorite rapper,
he's a favorite quarterbacks, favorite quarterback, and I think people
are going to be like wow, for him to get

(13:28):
an MVP will be interesting. And we also what that
would do for his Hall of Fame career, even with
them without a super Bowl because now he's got the
super Bowl title. If he ends up with an MVP title,
you know award as well, that would be huge for him.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
As far as the Hall of Fame candidacy, I.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Think the only thing that heard some is most of
his stats came in meaningless games. That's the only thing
that I've always but it didn't hurt Kelvin Calvin Johnson. Yeah,
well he was no, I'm just saying it, but he
never won a playoff game.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
He never was in if he didn't play.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
In many you know what I mean, like many some
to win a division a couple of times, as I
mentioned earlier, but that a lot of it was as
a guy who covered all those games, they were down
twenty one, nothing, seventeen nothing, a lot in those games,
and it's easier to score. I know it sounds crazy,
but you know what I mean defensively the way that

(14:18):
they play all right, eight seven seven ninety nine on
Fox eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty
nine sixty nine.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Is that it? Yeah? Sixty nine.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
I think he miss remembers eight seven seven six sixty
three sixty nine eight seven seven ninety ninety not sixty nine.
Well you go Downsy downs Wood Louis. That's right, all right,

Speaker 1 (16:38):
We got Garrett Busch ninety two point three to fan
in Cleveland, host of the Ultimate Cleveland Sports show in
about five minutes or so, take another call. We were
just talking about the Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Nobody's excited about Matthew. No, they're not. They're not only
only I told you only quarterbacks, your favorite quarterbacks. Quarterback.
Look at his sidearm. Look at the way he flings
and flicking of his wrist. Look at that. They get
excited about watching him quarterback. Take a quick call.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
All right, Brian, Brian from Michigan. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Brian?

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Hey, how you doing. Fella?

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Hey, let's say this real quick.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Happy Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, and Rob I'm working on Thursday, so
I'll be.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Listening to That's right, you know I'll be here for you,
my man.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (17:23):
So when it comes to Stafford, you guys know, I'm
a Detroit homer like Nolvin and Go Blue Saturday.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
By the way, Oh yeah.

Speaker 8 (17:31):
The only thing I want to say about Stafford is
he's a bum. He had talent. You said it, Robbie
had talent, and Detroit he had chances to put that
team on his back. He reminds me of Lebron. He
can't do it without other talent. Stafford just didn't have
it for me, Fellas, I don't. I don't think he's
a Hall of Famer. When your MVP, you know it's

(17:53):
coming from a Detroit guy.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
But no, right, I'm not shocked that you're saying it, Brian,
I'm not because they sort of storyline is that he
had nothing and oh, poor Matthew Stafford and this and that.
But we've seen a lot of players who were drafted,
you know, go to bad teams and turn them around.
Joe Burrow went to Cincinnati and they couldn't win a

(18:14):
playoff game, and all of a sudden they're in the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I'm just.

Speaker 8 (18:19):
Detroit drafted a ride receiver number one. How many seasons
in a row?

Speaker 2 (18:22):
What up, like three? Three or four?

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Roy Williams, Charles Rod all your weapons again, say he
didn't have any weapons.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
They gave him. They drafts. Roger got.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Joy Man joy gobble gob We got the Lions and
the Packers should be a good way after your.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Is that mean no, that's not no, that's what you
were supposed to sound like. No, I was doing that.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
My little gig y happened. Why was there pausing yours
running again?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Alex little gigya all right, either way, I want to
hear about you guys. If that turkey was at my house,
I don't know if I want to eat it.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
That one sounded like he was going through some things
that would sound like that one definitely wasn't getting answer.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Gee, did we get our lobster mac and cheese? What's
the deal? Wait? So I've talked to the people in charge.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
That person mean Alex, and right now assuming the plans
for me to go on Wednesday, okay, because the playing
for because what I found out is it says because
it's freshly made, you can't buy it too far in advance.
It's not going to taste good when you guys could No, no, no, right,
So as long as I can make it there on Wednesday,
you'll have it.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Well.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
No, they're saying that because they want to make sure
the money, like you, you ain't playing with the money.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
That's what it is. Trying to give me the money
before I told them whole on too, because I should
have kept that you're paying for that. If you paid
for that, I think we just heard you on the record. Yeh,
you already said you're gonna pay for it. Rock all right,
hold on, I write it down, I do or even Rob?
Who can find out? Who pay for this? I'll pay
for it? Go ahead, Alex even I'll pay for it
all right? Ready, yeah what did you write down? What

(19:59):
did you writ well? Odd? It was even Yes, put
the camera on the number. Where is it zooming? I
love you? I wrote it to so no, no, no.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
My My only point was we're gonna have that and
some other stuff no alcohol. When when I buy it?
Who do I give it to you to cook?

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Well?

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Give it to me. Okay, so you're bringing it on Wednesday,
I'll assuming I can be Yes, that's the plan for
me to go on. I'll cook it Alex and then
bring it in on Ony obviously your job. Yeah who else?
I mean going up? The soccer is gonna be here,
and Martin's gonna do updates and co. Yeah that matters. Yeah, okay,
just the three of us right here, we're all get us.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Sager, you're gonna have some mac and cheese, I mean
lopso Max, can you have lobster?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
That was Dan?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
That was a racist what a little bit racists? That
was like racist light that's only if you're orthodox. I'm
just they don't eat shell fish, rob.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Am I saying anything out of turn that stopped me.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
They don't write yeah, no, no. The only thing that
that really ought to right. I'll tell you what one
thing that did happen that was racist. Earlier in the show,
when the drops were introducing everybody, and you said Sager
and we'd have a drop for him, and Alex Is like,
let's play some jabmc.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Form, I was crazy, what goes hard? I'm not gonna lie.
It's a good beat. And Sager was on board with
that saga.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
You're on board with Okay, So now you gotta put
the camp put the camera on side, because we need
to know.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
We needed to see the agreement. This can't just be
an alleged agreement. Put the camera on yourself. So says
he's down with us, all right, I'm just making sure.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Well listen, if you would have if you bring in greens,
you talk about culture because in a black and a
black household on Thanksgiving, if there's no mac and cheese
and no greens, and now you know who loves green
more than anybody in his building? Ivan is what I
call yeh see that swaggering his walk, It's wild. Yeah,
I saw himnother day and the I style change and

(22:02):
everything like he had the because he had the greens
the first time.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yeah, he had his greens. Did you see his whole
demeanor change? He went, yeah, he was. He was just like, hey,
what's up? Calvin? He was wait to the first one again?
What we're time? Please? Please stop us, y'all walk in
the door. He's like, hey, what's up, Calf? Hey, Calf?
He was like, Yo, what up? I was like wait.

(22:28):
I was like, you popped that new Clips album? He
was like, what up?

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Listen to that new Clips or whatever. It's good with
you sound like he does? Sound like that at USC. No,
he got some greens. Now that boy is Ayvante. Oh god,
you've seen the lines in his hair cutting out.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
It's crispy, y'all tell you listen. And the line I'm
flying and I got the wing. It's true. I'm taller
than me. He used to look up to me. Now
he just looks down even though he got that. You
know how we got that natural for no reason? I
think it's been a long day. What's ups?

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Man?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
I can't call it, just can't stop rubbing his hasts
to get that bird bird man, hands and everything.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Doesn't offered washing your hands.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
No, you gotta do it like you know, like ro
Rob You doing a bird like your hands next to
a fire and dump street.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Why you look homeless so cold out here in these
l A streets. Anyway, all right, we got Garrett, but
in the way it's the downsize. You're never gonna let
me lift that down that downside. You know, can't I
down You want to make sure you were okay, it's
just me. Can I downside? Yes?

Speaker 9 (23:38):
We want to make I remember when you paid for air,
you got that fridgegated and.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Now he's mad a good time all that money I
was wasting, Remember that, Yvonte?

Speaker 2 (23:47):
You want to do this tease?

Speaker 7 (23:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Shoot?

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Anyway, coming up, we got Garrett Bush or whatever. You
know what I'm saying ninety two point three to fan
in Cleveland. You know what I'm saying, Cleveland, This one's
for you right now. It's my man, Steve d ha Ha,
Steve the Sega.

Speaker 2 (24:01):

Steve I coover Ron Parker, Kevin Washington on a Magic
City Monday.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
We got, of course coming up.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
We'll have last call in just a little bit, but
right now, Garrett Busch is joining us ninety two point
three the Fan in Cleveland, host of the Ultimate Cleveland
Sports Show, g Bush eighty one on X Garrett.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Man?

Speaker 6 (24:32):
Hey? What's up? Are y'all doing? Fellas doing good?

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
How did you get around today with all the confetti
in the city is what I'm trying to figure out.

Speaker 6 (24:40):
You know, Listen, I had to get a police escort,
you know, we especially when we got all of our
nice roleged watches on. You gotta watch that man, so
not a city got a little buzz man. But do
you know we ain't doing too many victory laps now.
I mean, it was a nice performance and we look
looking forward to seeing what he do against the forty

(25:02):
nine ers. But you know, it's just it's a good start, man.
He showed some flashes.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Did he'd warrant in your mind to be the starter
to Dylan Gabriel?

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Should he have been? And started? Just your own personal
reaction to that, Oh, listen.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
There's no doubt about it. There's no doubt about if
he should have been the starting quarterback moving up to
next week, because you know, if you watch Dylan Gabriel
for the six games, I feel like Dylan Gabriel's best
game was against the Minnesota Vikings in London. So for me,
I saw a little bit of a regression. I didn't
have a great evaluation on Dylan Gabriel coming out of Oregon.

(25:36):
I think he had some limitations and one thing that
we saw at least from Shade or Sanders and his
willingness to put the ball downfield and to give us
playmakers an opportunity. He had an interception and did some
other things. You know, he did eliminate some of the sackyards.
So you know it wasn't you know, I gave him
a b overall, but you know it wasn't, you know,

(25:58):
a home run of any sort. I think think the thing.
Sean King says he's on an Ultimate Cleland Sports show
as a contributor. He said, you know, Shoudo and Anders
not gonna win the starting job in one game or
one throw or one quarter. He has to put a
body of work together. But you know, this was a
good start and we'll see what we can do this week.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
I believe in that too.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
I think that the problem that comes with Shadure and
that's why he has to be the starter, otherwise I
wouldn't want him on my team is he has so
many fanboys who will blame everybody other than him if
things don't work out or if he doesn't play well,
always to play call and oh you know I got

(26:40):
Texas the offensive line is not good.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Oh did you see Judy drop that ball?

Speaker 4 (26:46):
You know, like that, That's what comes when you have
a guy, because that's what happened with Tim Deebow and
why people didn't want him. If he's not going to
be your starting quarterback, there's a lot of other stuff
you got to deal with.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
You agree with that or not?

Speaker 6 (27:00):
Well, yeah, there is, there is. I laugh all the time,
you know. I think he has a fan base that
necessarily does not include all football fans. There are people
who watch Doors Sanders from reality TV. There's people who
watched them grow up on television. There's some people who
just ride rock and roll with him and his fan base.

(27:20):
I told people in Cleveland, because I've watched him grow up.
I watched him at Jackson State. I've watched him pretty
much as he was a young guy. I said, listen,
his fan base is different. You ain't seen nothing like this,
like they see you. Aunties and uncles is alive, and well,
they're not gonna play they they don't support him. They're
gonna support him through through hell or high water. That's

(27:42):
how they gonna get down. I think for journalists and
people who break down the game, I think you got
to kind of separate the two. It's what.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
It's hard to do that because I think it is.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
It is because I've been in this business for forty
years and I just think that there are too many
guys masquerading as journalists and people who cover who are
deep down pulling for people, and the line is blurred.
And I think that's a big part of why the
coverage is like whenever it doesn't go right, it's some
conspiracy theory, you know, like there's always something rather than

(28:18):
the player didn't play well, or if you say that
the player didn't play well or wasn't overwhelmed, some guy
called up here, I'm the hater on Times ten because
I'm not ready to crown him as like the rookie
of the year. And that's where it's such an extreme
that you can't even say he played he played well,
or he played good or whatever. I'm a hater because

(28:40):
I don't think that he should be the quarterback from
here to the next ten years.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
You know, well, you know I've always said what I
tried to do is I just try to I try
to put my flag. Now. Listen, I'm full disclosure. I
think you're doing Cassandra's could be a starting quarterback. I
think she doing Sanders could be an answer for the
Cleveland Browns. But I also tell people all the time
I show the barbershop, I said, listen, guys, what happens
with your door standers is going to be dictated on

(29:06):
what's going on in the field. Where it's going to
keep him on that football field. It's this production and
what he can do on the football field. The other stuff, Yeah,
it may be provocative, but be that food like you
have to produce. And for him, I think he understands
it because of the nature of his fan base in
a way and his confidence. He understands that puts him

(29:27):
in a spotlight where he has to overperform at times,
he has to go we have to overdo it, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Yeah, I think let me just say, Shaun Watson, if
he's healthy, he's not going to be just starting a
quarterback next year.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
I think that they owe him so much money. There's
no they can't cut him.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
Here's what I think. You know, I'm not a conspiracy theorist,
but I think that the ownership has come out, come
out now one but two times, and Jimmy has them saying, hey,
we made a mistake. In other words, you you we
may feel like the contract, the league didn't want us
to get that out. We gave it. We're under the
dog house a little bit. I don't think he'll play

(30:09):
for the Browns again, but I think it be continues
to how.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Will so you mean he's gonna be on the bench
making forty million dollars? Yeah, because they can't cut him
like that.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
He's not getting cut.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
He won't be on the right.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Okay, what I want to ask you you we kind
of were talking about it. How much is should do it?
Let's say he wins, plays well, let's say he plays back.
How much isn't you're there on the ground. Is it
even maybe with the team, just from some things you
may know is people not liking the way he speaks
after a game. Everybody wanted me to fail and I
didn't do some of that stuff. Is that what people

(30:44):
have issues with to not just what happens on the field.

Speaker 6 (30:47):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that Frankly is not
big fans of his father. They're not fans of the jewelry,
they're not fans of the music, they're not fans of
his delivery. So all of those things, you know, come
along with a quarterback. That's why they coined the phrase
franchise quarterback. Right, Yeah, you're the face of it. So

(31:09):
sometimes those things are in opposition to what people believe
should be a quarterback. Now, what's gonna happen is week
by week, you guys know as it continues. You guys
were around when t Bow was doing it weeks ago.
It's continue to play. Well, it's not gonna get smaller,
it's gonna get bigger.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Yeah, Hey, we appreciate we got in it there.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
Man.

Speaker 1 (31:30):

Speaker 4 (32:10):
On The Magic City Monday, Aaron Rodgers had some beautiful balls.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Man's just sometimes I just need answers.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
For over forty years, tire Rack has been helping customers
find the right tires for how, for what, and for
where they are. Of course, they're ship fast and free
back by free Road has a protection with convenient installation
options like mobile tire installations, So if you're out and about,
that's right, they will come to you tire rack dot Com.
It is the way tire buying should be. And I've

(32:40):
been getting my butt beat, Alex. I can't wait one
day man, you're not gonna know. We're gonna have the
technology on our side Rob to get him back for
all the stuff and record.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
We can't wave it. Only problem is we can't play one.
We can only play a one tenth of what you
say on it, Rogerie, look at me. I'm shaking one
tenth of.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
What you say on there, because otherwise you'd be We
need you to keep a job out of here because
you say some wild stuff.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
I'm infirable. No, no, no, you're not.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Thank God for dump buttons and and just talk back
only we can hear you. By the way, Rob, this
is just this Monday night is acting like a Thursday
night game.

Speaker 5 (33:16):
This feels like a Titans Jags like, yeah, this is Alves.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Absolutely, this is giving you a London vibe right now.

Speaker 6 (33:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
But the only problem is Rob g is jumping around
in there and acting like food acting.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Because I'm invested in the results of this. You got
money on fantasy football. Yeah, I about to say it
must be fad. Are you a brock Party every time
brock Party through it?

Speaker 5 (33:35):
First off, I'll say yes, I'm a brock pretty truth.
I was on brock Party before you were off Brock props. Okay,
well good, that's how deep I'm in there. I feel
I feel good?

Speaker 2 (33:44):
You got I feel good?

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Now?

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Oh my god, at y'all just giving Ali Man, Alex
wasn't listening to Alex?

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Alex? Do you make my job easy? Stop it? Y'all? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Allops are crazyh Yeah, this is a bad game right now.
Turnovers galore, not to make a couple others should have
been turnovers too, man, And it's just from a forty
nine ers team talking earlier with Rob g who you know,
they're usually historically really tough to beat, like they're that's what.
There's the run they've been on a couple of super
Bowl payers. They want it comes to the super Bowl. Yeah,
but they look, they look they ain't even thinking about

(34:16):
one right now. The way they're playing right.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Now with that bad coach, he can't win the big game.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
That's tough. That is one of those would you no,
I know you are? Would you rather be him? Or
what's the Marv Levy who, by the way, you won't
let that man? Is he still with us before? I
just as far as I know he is. That is
a good Jeopardy question looked at us? Is Marv Levy
still with us.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
I must say yes, but I am not confident in that.
If he's not, then he's zero to five. He's no
longer with us. He's one hundred years old. He's still
with us. And you know what, and you could ask him.
I don't do that. Let that man. It's a century.
He's a poor chop away. Don't say rob he's a lie.

(34:58):
Robby never make it to one hundred. I tell you that.
Right here we go. He's brown apple sauce. Away. Geez,
rob The man is a century. Let him live.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
He's one hundred century. Betty White didn't make it to
one hundred day and a half or somewhere a man,
Come on, yeah, come on, but she was so close?

Speaker 2 (35:15):
What a quitter, dude? Come on, Betty? She had it?

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Was there anyone more? Just like belovedhere? Like no one
disliked somebody Betty White might have been. That's what I mean,
because if I don't care who I name, someone's gonna
be like Betty White might have been the one person
everybody Betty who dislikes Betty White.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Anyway, Mark, My point was, would you rather be Marvel
Leave or Kyle shann And like you always get to
the big one.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Can't win it, or like a wait a minute, but
Kyle Shannon gets it. He's two. Now, Yeah, that's it's
that get there, but you can't win it. I want
to all.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
I would just want to win one. I would give
up all the other appearances. I don't care about it.
I just want to win one. I want at the
end of the day. And you know this, in your
own career or whatever you want your moment, there's a
there's a moment that you get right.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
One, Jack, what's your one shining moment in forty years?
Is it the Baseball Riding Hall of Fame? I mean, well,
I'm in a couple of hall of fames.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
I'm proud.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
I'm just saying I said the one. I didn't want
to hear about your couples the high school. Never mind
who I said one you're about to give you let
the rundown.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
And the press box at my Alma Mona. I cry
at nights clicking about that. Oh God, you know looking
at Rob. Yeah, vover, ain't looking at the picture Rob?
Looking at Rob?

Speaker 9 (36:30):
I guess Rob sending emails? Do you want to buy
spot on my casket? I'm gonna be buried'nna be buried.
The MLB bro my press box. I'm gonna take it
with me in my Baseball Hall of Fame, car buried
me with it.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
What else cleaned up at schools you never heard of?
I just want you to know that I'm gonna have
a bag of clothes in my casket. You could take them.
You can tell you know what my past possession is. Kelvin,
what's that? When we made it? And judging MLB bro?

Speaker 9 (36:56):
Oh yeah sign, I've been wearing that under my sister,
been it every night, every night.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Let me wash it. That is my skimpies I walk around.
He was sixth time mb Bro of the Year.

Speaker 6 (37:07):
What else?

Speaker 2 (37:09):
What all are six my Yankee boxes? I say that
out loud. The problem is everything we say was true. Yeah,
he ain't.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Tom, I said, give me you one moment.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
You listened to ten of them. I'm sorry, none of
it's true. The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is
coming up next.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
I never miss your radio show.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
