Well, he is, Like you mentioned, he's leaving all Miss
on the eve of the college football Playoff, which the
running Rebels will be in. We don't know if they'll
be in the top five, top ten, but they'll be
somewhere in the top twelve. And even still, Lane Kiffin
leaving Ole Miss to take the LS you At coaching job.
He'll be at worst the second highest paid coach in

bag because even though he said he wanted to stick
around and coach them finish out this season with the Rebels,
they said, no, hell no, you're leaving, don't hit the door,
hit you on the way.

We know all the Lions fans had their panties in

the playoffs, But well that's the timetable, right. You can't
you can't wait, you can't. You gotta get somebody in place.

I'm saying is I do not blame Lane Kiffin. All
these people are like, oh, didn't you turn this back
on the kids? It was a shame.

your program is better than LSU. You literally have built
a better bro You've done now what you hope to

do at LSU, which is build a college football program.

well to the tune now of the best record in
the school history and a chance of the college football Playoff.
And when you bring up you're mentioning that to kids,
that's the thing you're leaving them now.

The timetable sucks because the whole point you've preached is,
come here, we're gonna build something. Come here, we got
a chance compete for a title. Come here, we're gonna
do something that hasn't been done in fifty six years,
whatever it's been for them.

And you literally are living that now. You have a
chance to compete.

So you're leaving the college, the coaches do are there with,
You're leaving the students, you're leaving everybody that's a part
of this program that helped build it to the point
of getting to where you want to get to. You're
going to LSU to hope to compete for a title.
You literally have a chance to now. So that part
of it doesn't make sense to me. If they were
a good team nine and three and competitive, and he
just felt like, oh, I can understand it. You're literally

having an opportunity to compete for a championship, So that
part of it I don't get. And then the other
thing to at LSU is you gotta you gotta be
careful what you wish for. In a sense of it
is just checking a box. Because you can go there.
We've seen Brian Kelly just got a whole bunch of
money to leave fifty some million dollars.

But ain't no guarantee you.

Can go there and be man and then you're gone
in three four years and what will have happened.

You've been another coach at LSU that was there and
you want a few games.

Oh you might go there and win back to back championships?
How about that and do something as special. Yeah, you
could do that as well. You could have did it
at all, miss No, But you now it ain't no
old back to back championships an ass because I just dowy.
If I told you he was gonna run off a
decade of greatness, you'd be like, yeah, right, it happened.

If I told you what Miami read and they've had
great coaches.

Nick Saban went down there unless all these people because
there's something there and maybe this was one of his dreams.
So that for people just like a kid who's somewhere
and they go to to Michigan or whatever. They could
have gone to Ohio State, but that might have been
their dream or that that's school. That's Howard. He's from Cleveland.
Everybody was like, what are you leaving? So again, that's

his absolute prerogative. And I don't necessarily I don't mind
in the sense that this is like I would have
been more shot for lane Kiffin to stay because that
would be counter with Lane Kiffin is typically done. But
they hired him knowing his history, right, That's what I'm saying.
So shocking would have been more if he was, like you.

He was going, But I just wonder, like what for him,
what's he what's he chasing? Like what it feels like

better program. Right now, I'm not saying historically right now.

at what I was able to do there. Imagine if
I had all these LSU resources.

about the governor tell you to get up out of here.

he's competing. He has a chance to win a national

out on that. That's the only part for me that's

logistics in the calendar were a nightmare.

too much recruiting, too much, all that go ahead.

UH and oldness in terms of recruiting. If you look
at our recruiting classes at LSU for like the last
you know, twenty whatever years, our worst recruiting class is

in terms of Lane Kiffin, he is who we thought
he was. All right, this has been his and most
right he goes to Tennessee. Right, you know what I mean,

he dropped, you got the droll now Southern accents talking about.

You know, have his jersey up there with Peyton Manning
usc comes in, you know, secure as a bag for him.

the people at Old Miss should have known who they

now here's the thing, Rob, You have alluded to it
with Lane Kiffin because he's got these opportunit unities, but
he hasn't always made well on them. So he had

to go the coordinator route at Alabama, he had to
take some you know, mid major jobs at what Florida Atlantic.

So he built himself up.

So I think now this is his opportunity to get
back on that Power five, you know, one of the
you know programs that's going to spend dollar for dollar
with everyone else in the country and to now be
you know, on that level, to possibly to the point
he hasn't won those big games. But I think for
him this is kind of a resurgence because he started
in the Power five, then he fell off, and then

now I think he's trying to climb himself all the
way back up to possibly get to a national championship.
I don't know if he has the resume to do it.
That man in Indiana, Signetti seems, you know, seems to
have the magic touch, but he wants to be on
the equal playing field with all the other great I

a good team nine and three and competitive, and he
just felt like, oh, I can understand it. You're literally

thing to at LSU is you gotta you gotta be
careful what you wish for. In a sense of it
is just checking a box. Because you can go there.
We've seen Brian Kelly just got a whole bunch of
money to leave fifty some million dollars.
