Don't forget college kids continues to roll on. Mark Gunnell's
will be joining us in about twenty seven minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
So we'll do that.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Plus we have a little chop talk that and much
more so. A really really busy hour coming up.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Man, we had another thunder blowout last night. They're now
twenty five and one, rod tying the Warriors. Obviously, the
Warriors set that record some years ago, and they're on
track to do that.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Some people think they might actually beat them.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
I'm inclined to actually think they may just do that,
consider how good they are and they haven't even played.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Their best basketball yet.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
They haven't even had their full It's like, this guy's out, Okay,
that guy's all right. J Dove ain't even played in weeks. Okay,
he's back. Well, SGA have a night off. Like, I
don't even know what they're gonna look like when they're
fully locked in. We're in December. The NBA season doesn't
even start till Christmas Day. We typically say that's when
the season starts, and they already look like a shoe in.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
This is absolutely great.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
If you're a high school basketball coach, this is the
team you would sow your team. Hey, guys, before we
go out there on this court and practice that, I
want you to watch this team. They're committed They're all
for one. They play hard nosed defense. Everybody knows their role.
They don't care who gets the start. You know, this
guy's in, this guy's out, doesn't matter. They're exactly what
you want from a team. But they're not at all

(02:43):
what you want from a league. And if you're Adam Silver,
this isn't not great.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Rob.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I've been covering this league since I feel like you
right now, since when was I about ten twelve years old.
I've been watching this league my whole life, and including
Michael Jordan years, I never went into a season, and
at this point where you go, oh, it's a shoeing.
They're winning this thing, right because even in the Jordan year,
as you say, all right, well, Charles Barkley with the
Sons looks great. He's the MVP. This could be something,

(03:11):
all right, Maybe the Utah Jazz gets some revenge this year.
Can Shawn Camp and Gary Pate? You could find some
ways to maybe add another team or two. We are
all hoping that Denver makes a thing of this thing.
Otherwise it's absolutely a rep So Adam Steel, I don't know.
You gotta the league gotta come together like a reverse
Chris Paul remember they said no, Chris Paul can't go
join the Lakers and Kobe Bryant. They needed like a

(03:33):
reverse of that and absolutely send somebody somewhere. Yanni's gotta
come with Luca and Lebron or go to another team,
form up with with with Wimby, because this is this
is not good for business. It's great for them, it's
great for Sam Presty, is great for the Thunder, but
this is bad for basketball and entertainment since it's a

(03:53):
shoe in. Every single basketball fan I talked to is like, yo,
does anybody even have a shot? Everybody out twenty thirty
forty points and I've never seen anything like this, and
it's not great. You need villains, you need rivalries, you
need beef, you need something that makes it compelling. The
Thunders are the best team by far, and there's nothing

(04:14):
compelling about them. And it's a compliment in that they're
such a great team. But you need some entertainment value
in Adam Silver, I don't know, like I say he's
gonna pull something off. Whisper to somebody or y'all need
you all to make a trade. Put somebody else somewhere
with something, because this ain't Rob. I've never seen this
where it's such a shoe and a lock in unless SGA,
you know, golln you want to say it, but like
a bad injury where he's out for the season. Other

(04:36):
than that, they can lose another star and still be okay.
So this is just I've never been here where at
In December tenth eleventh, I'm already ready to throw the
thiland on the season.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
We know who's winning.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I disagree there, there's a long way to go. Denver
took them the seven games last year. I'm not gonna
sit here and go I don't care what the record is.
You could have a bad week in the NBA, or
have a misshot or some situation. We saw the Pacers
last year down by fourteen points were a minute two
minutes to what was it like thirteen to go to

(05:14):
you and down by fourteen on the road and win
that game and change everything. So I'm not there that
I'm not crowning them the champs in early December. But
I will say this, the OKC Thunder are the worst

(05:34):
basketball team for the NBA. They are worse than even
the Halem Globetrotters. They were a bad version of the
Halem Globe trotters. You know, they used to win all
the time. They always beat the generals, Washington Generals. The
difference is we knew the routine, we knew the script.

(05:54):
They were supposed to win. Okay, See, does absolutely zero
for the NBA because there's no competition. It ain't about
beefs and all that. It's about competition. Who's watching a
game that's forty or thirty or forty or fifty points.

(06:16):
Nobody in their right mind is going to watch that.
So the NBA doesn't get any juice from them winning
and it's exciting and oh my god, they made another
three pointer at the buzzer. These games are done at
half so people are looking for Golden Girls reruns, so
that doesn't work. They're a small market to begin with.

(06:38):
There's nothing here to like. It's as bad as it
gets for the NBA and everybody who thinks that winning
all the time is great. Let me give you a
history lesson the Celtics during their run when they won
eight championships in a row in the fifties and sixties,
and all that was attendance dipped during that run. Go

(07:04):
look at the sixty sixty one season their tickets. You
thought they had won two in a row back to back,
and they were going for their third title and the
en route to eight.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
In a row. People stopped going, didn't buy tickets. I
saw it. I already saw them win.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
How about the Atlanta Braves of the nineties won fourteen
straight National League East titles Kelvin, people stopped going to
playoff games for the break.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I saw it already. I've been there. It can happen.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Winning all the time with no competition, no press, pushback
is the worst thing you could have. Add to that
a small market. Add to that a player people are
indifferent about. No one is like, oh I can't stand
a SGA or he guys must see TV. It's indifferent.

(08:02):
So OKC Thunder are the worst basketball team for the NBA.
They get nothing from this, no juice. I don't know
who's watching people in okac Okay, ain't nobody. Ain't no

(08:23):
basketball fans watching no forty nine point blowoff.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I'm sorry they The Thunder is the perfect name because
it's like a rain cloud on the NBA. It's a
rain cloud on the NBA because again it's and I
mean it's in the most complimentary way. They played the
absolute best basketball. Every person knows their rold. Don't care
if I play five minutes or twenty five tonight, don't
care who got the shot. Everybody's playing defense, taking charges,

(08:48):
moving the ball around. We got a closer in SGA.
We got a number two and in JD. Matter of fact,
I have a CJDA for weeks. Will be okay. We
got checked. They play amazing brand of basketball as far
as winning games. And again I said it, if I
was a high school or a coach in college, this
is the team I would try to model my team after. However,
the difference between when we're seeing with them and the

(09:10):
difference when we saw what the Warriors did it or
the Bulls. Number one, the Bulls had Michael Jordan. It
didn't get any bigger. But they also had Dennis Rodman,
right character.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
You knew what he was.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
You just wild, you know zone, And they were in
games I'm going where you're going. They had to hit
some buzzer beaters, they had to be in some whoof
I don't know how we pulled that off. You go
to that Warriors team, they were in a lot of games.
They close it out, closed at the end. They also
were compelling. We'd never seen anything like Steph Curry before.
Remember this is early step Now we're used to it.

(09:42):
This is early Steph, this is early Clay. We had
a nickname for him. They were the Splash Brothers. We
had Draymond Green fighting people, stumping people, chaos. We were
familiar with Steve Kurt. There was something new be seen
with this Thunder team. Not a single buddy of mine
or anybody text me, Yore, you watching this Thunder game.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
That's why I said it did the worst. Nobody this
is the worst basketball team for the NBA.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
And it just is. It's it's their fault for being
really good. And I understand it. It's not compelling.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
It's not without the compelling part, without uh, the competition
part sports. That's what separates sports from everything else. When
we watch movies, we know who the good guy is
and we know who the bad guy is, right and
and the good guy always wins right, but we don't
know how we get to that point, so we watch it.

(10:34):
But you know, but sports is totally different. The whole
idea is that we don't know what's gonna happen. That's
what keeps bringing us back. It's the upsets. Oh my god,
I can't believe what I just saw. I can't believe
that Rojas in the home run with one out in
the night for the Dodgers. Nobody could have scripted that. Nobody. No,

(10:57):
I don't believe it. No, it's unbelieve you know.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
What I mean.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
I mean you brought up Tyres Halliburton, who thought he
would be the star the summer, hitting game winner after
game winner after game like that was unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
That's what made sports exciting. This Thunder team is a bore,
is a snooze fest. I'm not interested, and I'm not
taking away they're great. They've twenty five and one whatever
their record is now, and I get it, but I'm sorry.
I'm here for the competition. I don't want to see

(11:29):
Hallam Globe Trotter's games against the Washington Generals.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
That's I don't want to see that.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
That doesn't entertain me, It doesn't interest me, It doesn't
make me feel any kind of way. That's what it
feels like. It feels like a bad Hallam Globe Trotter
is Washington Generals thing that we're watching. Sorry, it should
count me out and if it would be different if

(11:56):
SGA was Weinby.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
Let's say this was the Spurs and Winby was just
going crazy thirty three night. And because you he's a freak, right,
he's something with unicorn. We've never seen this before, so
it will be compelling. You'd be like, man, are you
seeing what this seven foot six guy is doing?

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Every night?

Speaker 5 (12:10):
You'd be talking about it every night and this is crazy.
But because SGA is their best player and he just
goes about his business in a workman like fashion, you
don't talk about it. Nobody ever at a single one
of your friends ever sent you a SGA a reel
on DM, on Instagram or text. And he just goes
about his business. He wins, he's quiet, he's chill, and

(12:31):
it's again, that's what you actually like. If you're a
coach or if you're you know, modeling a team after it,
but you want some juice, you want something. They don't
even have a nickname. Usually got a nickname. When you're
this good rob, I keep telling everybody that you're the
bad Boys. You know, you're the Lake Show, You're the
Showtime Lakers, You're the something rob z.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
What you got guys, obviously he's early in the season,
but if the season ended today, the Oklahoma City Thunder
would have a net rating of plus seventeen point two,
which means they win each game by an average of
seventeen points per game. The previous high in NBA history
was a Jordan Bulls team nineteen ninety six thirteen point four.

(13:09):
That gap about four points will be the difference between
the seventy two win Bulls and the twenty was at
twenty twenty Milwaukee Buck twenty twenty one Milaukee Bucks with
the honest. So the gap between Oklahoma City and arguably
the greatest team of all time is the same gap
between what had been the greatest team of all time

(13:31):
and a nondescript champion from four years ago.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Right now, that's how much better they are.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
But it's but it also tells you why this isn't compelling.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
It just isn't.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
And I'm not If you're in Oklahoma City and that's
all you have going I understand it. You feel great.
They win every night for the rest of NBA America.
No thank you, no thank you. And it's not just
their fault. Nobody can see to come up with a
defense or do anything and when when you don't have competition,

(14:04):
that's what makes sports special.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Lakes gotta have competition the Lake.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
The Celtics had to get by the Pistons, you know
every year obviously the Pistons one of the finally top them,
and the Lakers were battling it out with the Rockets,
and you had the seventy six ers in that are
if you're talking to eighties, you can go to the nineties.
You had several teams competing trying to beat the Bulls,
even though the Bulls dominque. You just right now, it's
just one team, and everybody's hope lies really, in my opinion,
on two teams. It's Denver and a Big Time all

(14:30):
exclamation points and the question mark for Houston. That's your
two hopes? Is it Houston and Denver that can you know,
give them a run?

Speaker 3 (14:38):
All right?

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven,
nine nine, six sixty three sixty nine are the thunderbed

mean Grandma got one over by rain deal?

Speaker 3 (15:51):
That's a classic? Yeah, my bad? Hi, I knew that one.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
Yeah. Rob Parker's favorite is what's that baby It's cold outside?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
That's that's like in my top five top two all
time favorite songs to all time, not even Christmas all time.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Because you know what's funny. That's saying a lot.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
No, it's not a Christmas song, and anywhere and anywhere
in that song it never mentions Christmas. It's just talking
about how cold it is and snow. But but it
doesn't mention Christmas.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
But still it's your favorite.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Oh no, I just love I love it back and
forth to I remember when they were trying to ban
that song.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
Remember Rob G, streets are saying, that's the song about
Sharon Moore.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Okay, unbelieva. I didn't say it. That's what it was saying.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
It's the eye couple Robert Kelvin on a TV things
on Thursday instead of some much Christmas class.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Where's that caution? Caution? Rob G? His name is oh Rob.

Speaker 6 (16:58):
Bud, Mexican Rob Mexicans, but Mexican text me that joke
and he's like, say this on the ass.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
This sounds about right.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
But Mexican, you know a good one if you said this,
all right, Mark Gunnals getting ready to join us in
a little bit. We'll talk some big dun college football
with him. Although big hit big ten college football. I
don't know if there's any other storylining except for another
one in the particular city in Michigan.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
All right.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
Uh, By the way, every goal starts with an assists
on and off the field. That's why Haleyon and US
Soccer are launching for the Assist, which is a celebration
of everyday acts of support that helped people achieve their
goals with iconic brands like Cincinni, you got tombs, voltairean
Advil centrum, and to learn more, go to haley onassists
dot com. All Right, eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Okay,

(17:44):
see you loving what they're doing for the league.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Is it bad?

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Is it that it's not entertaining? Or is it great basketball?
And you're okay with it? Eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox?

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Who we got? All right? Rob in Memphis, you're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Rob?
What's up? There's too many man to rob, one off
to rob somebody up in here?

Speaker 10 (18:05):
Ya. Y'all disappointed me because y'all ain't letting okase he cooked.
You gotta give them time to cook. Man. But look
at this is why I'm saying that it's good in
a few ways.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
All right.

Speaker 10 (18:16):
For one, we're possibly watching history. Then here's another thing,
about it. Look here, Maine, uh, we ain't get y'all
want to crown that as the go ahead and crown them.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
No, no, no, no, no no no, I'm not crowning anybody
that's Kelvin.

Speaker 10 (18:31):
They could they could have an ultimate fall off before
this thing is over with.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
That's Rob. I'll take that bet.

Speaker 10 (18:40):
And then and then on top of that, Look here,
the league ain't got nobody else for us to dislike
right now, and they're giving a lot of people a
lot to dislike if you're not a thunder fan. So
you know, also, we might just be at the beginning
of only a two season run slash dynasty or whatever
you want to call it. What give up time to

(19:00):
cook Man? That might become unlikablelerk anything? You know?

Speaker 5 (19:04):
So litten, I do agree with you, Rob, Rob number ten,
I do agree with Rob number ten for a call
that that could be a coome unlikable they win another one.
That's how it happens, right, Everybody loved the Warriors, so
they stop loving the Warriors. Everybody loved the page page,
then you stop, hey, loving the Patriots. Well, I don't
know if anybody ever loved the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Andrew In Chicago. You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Andrew?

Speaker 3 (19:24):
What up? Guys?

Speaker 11 (19:25):
How are you doing it?

Speaker 3 (19:26):
I would, again, Rob good to talk to you, my man,
real quick.

Speaker 11 (19:30):
All I gotta say is it's a glorious day.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
You know.

Speaker 11 (19:33):
I'm a big White Sox fan. And we got the
number one pick.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yes, sir, you got the pick, and you got some
young players and uh maybe they'll start to turn around
and you got a little something to build with.

Speaker 11 (19:43):
I'm with you on that, Andrew, especially since Rhyan Storre
is getting up his stake in the Brown Like twenty
seven twenty nine can only go up from here.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
No doubt.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Where are you on this basketball you and you enjoyed
forty nine point blowouts?

Speaker 11 (19:57):
To be honest, I am because think about I've been
hearing so many different analysts saying like, I wouldn't even
want Giannis or all these notable free agents to go
there because I feel like it's actually not going to
help them. So I feel like other teams are like,
how are we going to beat them? Kind of like
the I feel like they're almost like it's it's said,
it's crazy to say. I feel like they're the Bulls

(20:19):
of this era where it's like how can we beat them?
How can we bet?

Speaker 1 (20:22):
But the Bulls they had some battles and teams it
wasn't it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
I that's what's so different the Pacers. I feel like, I.

Speaker 11 (20:32):
Feel like how they always say like the playoffs is
a different season. So I think that that's when they're
going to be tested even more, especially in the West.
So that's why I think that it's actually a good
thing because other teams they're they're going to have to
build up to beat to beat them, Unlike okay, see
where it's like they're smart GMing and they don't have
to worry about hey, let's give away everything. We have

(20:52):
to get one player where it's like, don't break what's
already perfect.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Sam prestonpreciate you, Andrew, Sam pressey Man collected all the
Infinity stones. Rob g Is he thought, is he Thanos
at this point? San Pressy, Yeah, he's he got to
know he might have a top three pick. Rob at
the end of the season, let's standout, snapping his fingers
like a little John.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Song on, Let's squeeze one more in Andre in Massachusetts,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
What's up, Dre, how you doing?

Speaker 10 (21:20):
Thanks for taking the call, Happy Thursday. Listen.

Speaker 12 (21:23):
We already know what this boy, We know what it
is to beat the man. You gotta beat the man.
Whoa and the thunder. They're off to the races here
with this tremendous start. But we know we've seen from
the history twenty sixteen. You can go ahead and win
seventy four games, you go go ahead and win seventy
five games. That's great for the NBA's ratings, but it's

(21:44):
no guarantee of a championship. And obviously we felt this
right here in this wait.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
So the Warriors choked down a championship after that, so
I it can happen. But Andre, the point, though, is
all you enjoying watching the blowouts? Is what we're asking
you is, Oh, we lost them, but that that basketball.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
That's that's the issue.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
The playoffs at the playoffs, we know that, But I'm
talking about the non competition of it.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
That's the part that's hard to watch. Somebody got it.

Speaker 5 (22:11):
Yeah, I'm hoping that something emerges, some team that we
didn't expect off the start and getting on the groove
and get plays better or or like I said.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
That's why I'm waiting for the Brooklyn Nets or something.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
I'm sorry, who I'm sorry. You may be talking to
the Beastie Boys or something. You know, I ain't talking
about the Brooklyn Nets. No Swim Bklyn or jay Z.
Then the only thing is coming out of Brooklyn right now? Man,
all right, on the way, we got college kids with
Mark Gunnolds. We'll talk some Big ten football with him,
and right now.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Steve Seger.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live. It's time for the college kids here on
the odd col a. Look at this week's college football
through the eyes of the young inexp They swear they

(23:02):
know college ball takes it into the job. Yeah, right,
fundamentals are gonna show up, are there? Take sophomoric or
graduation worth it? Robin Kelvin bos Signe bring him on, All.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Right, we'll bring him in a minute, he decided, rob
He said, you know what, I ain't calling it. I
ain't paying my phone bill, so I'm just gonna come in.
I'm actually coming studio, so we didn't even know that
he is here. Robb G's letting him in the door
right now. So Mark Gunn's getting ready to join us
here on the eye couple, we'll do some some big
ten football here he is right now, Bush, Bush, you
pu's some weight in it. Put you back into it. Mark, Man,

(23:41):
have a seat, Man, what I brother, come on in, man,
grab that mic. I tell you, I told him. I
said he ain't pay his phone bill. He said, I'm
just gonna come in today. I don't feel like call
it in right now? All right, you get situated. Robb
G has set us up for the uh the questions
of the day.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Yeah, his college kids here in the eye couple. Fox Sports.

Speaker 6 (23:59):
Here we go around the world to discuss all the
biggest headlines in college football. This week we bring in
a legend sports media personality. Just settle it in right now,
Mark gunnals.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
What's up, guys? How you doing? What's up? Bro?

Speaker 9 (24:12):
Man?

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Traffic LA traffic is crazy.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
I made you made make you man. You are right
on time. Brother, turned out you can lift up a
little bit to Mike.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah, a little bit? There you go?

Speaker 6 (24:21):
There go Yeah, here with a broken neck all right,
Mark's got three very hot Big Ten football related takes.
He's gonna go against you guys, and uh, if y'all
like to take, y'all gonna say that he's graduation worthy
if you don't need to say his sophomore is very straightforward.
It's not like we haven't done this segment twenty five
different ways before.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
So let's get started. Take number one.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
The buck guys and the Hoosiers had an instant classic
in the Big Ten championship game, with Indiana prevailing over
there about a week and a half ago, and Mark
says that Ohio State in Indiana will meet again in
the national championship game.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
This time though Ohio State is gonna get the revenge.
That was why. Yeah, I mean it was a good game,
good low scoring game.

Speaker 13 (25:03):
Both quarterbacks kind of struggled there, but I feel like
in a rematch, a couple of turnovers from Julian sand
to start the game. He had that one the beginning
the first drive, similar to the Michigan game, but he's
able to respond to that one. I think these are
clearly the two best teams in the country Indiana. I mean,
if you didn't believe in them, now, how can you
not believe in them after that game they won in
the Oregon they won a Eugene then they beat them

(25:24):
in a big time matchup to get the overall one seed.
But I think they will meet again. I just can't
see Ohio State losing to them twice within a month.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
You want me to go, you are not graduating.

Speaker 10 (25:40):
Material.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
Why I hesitated because I agree with the sentiment of
them meeting up. I don't agree with your prediction of
who wins that. I believe Indian wins again. I just
think they're a better team, and specifically, what I like
about them is they're one of the few teams that
gives a.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
Michigan home no to grew up. What's what's the difference.
I don't even whoa Michigan Ohio.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
I didn't even I didn't even catch what you was
saying that Ron wink wink no their defense Indiana one
of the.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Pay him paying him to say that Ohio statement.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
No, Ohio State is an amazing tis why I think
they're gonna get to the national championship. But they're looking
at one of the few teams that can look at
them eye and defensively and be like what and that's
rare for them. They can look at a team that
can say your offense is great, but defensively, we actually
might be better. And that is a rarity. And I
think that's why they went not to mention the quarterback
play too.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
I'm gonna say, you're not graduating back twenty years in
Detroit Bank.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
It's just I just think that.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
They won't beat in the national championship game, that one
of those two will make it, not both. Oh, that
some other school you know what I mean, will find
their way in.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
I can't tell you who. I'm gonna say. You got
to say that, not put a name on it. You
feel good? There you go, there you go.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Hold on the lines and putting back on the camp
that looked good at back. Give me no, I want
that background. I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (27:05):
Take number two college kids. Mark Gunn's with the odd
couple Sharmil Moore is obviously the big story in college football,
but moving forward, Mark says that Michigan should monitor the
status of Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel thinks his style
would be perfect for today's college landscape. Explain yourself.

Speaker 13 (27:24):
Yeah, we're seeing all these names like Brian Kelly. You know,
I've even seen John Crudin out there. Please, like, come
on now.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
The only caveat here is the Dolphins actually playing good football.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Now, he might not want to go nowhere, right, and
he might even want to leave if it was offered
to it.

Speaker 13 (27:43):
But I still don't think that's a long term solution there.
I think the writings on the wall. If it's not
this year, next year, I don't see him being in
Miami that much longer. Why not go to college route?
I think his style is kind of quirky, he's young,
he's fresh, he's innovative. I think he could actually be
a really good college to relate to those kids and
bring a fresh new energy to ann Arbor, Michigan.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
I'm gonna say you graduated, congratu. But I hesitated for
this reason.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
It's not that I don't think that that's a good
idea or where you're thinking is going. My thing is
that's right, oh God, is once you've got once you're
in the NFL, right, you don't have to worry about
the kids, keeping them eligible, the like. There's a lot
of stuff that comes with being a college coach today,

(28:35):
and once you've tasted the NFL. And I think he
has unfinished business, Like he got off to a good
start and then that they scuffle and now he's fought
his way back. He's so young. I think he wants
to make his name in the NFL. That's the only
reason why I hesitate. But your idea is on point.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Back to school.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
I tell you what specifically him, You spent twenty years
in Michigan, that kind of quirky and I I'm a
I'm a thinking scientist type of guy. It doesn't work
in Michigan. And I go back to rich rod right
offense was amazing in college. Everybody's like, oh man, he's
gonna break and they're not going to hire back the
black black coaches anyway. Oh wait, man, he's not black
ahead what.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Day is it?

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Depending on the day, No, and and and I just
don't think that quirky kind of like young just like yo,
like you know, press conferences kind of like that's a goodsonation. Yeah, man,
you know, I don't know, like we're trying and stuff
like that. That would not work in ann Arbor. You
know that, like that just wouldn't work. I don't think
that that that guy. You might actually be right from

(29:39):
winning winning. It doesn't matter if they're winning the Rex.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
If they're winning, they gonna accept them.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
Well, I mean obviously, but he has to get there
to win, is what I'm saying. But I'm saying they
just gets there. That's just Brady hole coach that team.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Let's be ho.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
But they like that Gi Golli Schuckxy Midwestern. He kind
of vibe. Young dude would joke so bad with them,
gold glasses and all not. No, that wouldn't work in
an arbor, bro. Yeah, he gotta bring his Kaki, so
you gotta stay in South Beach for that day. Yeah,
he gotta be in South Beach for that r or USC,
he could work at USC. Here we go college kids.
Mark gunnelstont In with the yaka, but last one hottest

(30:13):
taken the night.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
In my opinion, really think Yeah, I think this is
the coldest.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
Disrespecting future UCLA had football coach. Oregon is favored by
twenty one and a half against JMU. Mark says that
spread is too small. He says they're gonna win by
at least forty points in the first round of the playoff. Rob,
don't get fired or explain your stuff, yo.

Speaker 13 (30:34):
Yeah, I mean, I mean twenty one and a half here.
I mean, let's break it down, right, James Madison. First
of all, shout to you guys, your one shining moment. Congratulations,
but you're gonna get your butt kicked. I mean they
lost to Louisville by thirty two point. No, Louisville lost
to SMU by thirty two points, which a team that

(30:55):
beat James Madison. And you're telling me that they're gonna
keep it within twenty one one and a half points
against Oregon, who's known for scoring forty fifty points against
solid competition. This is James Madison. I am hammering this spread.
I'm gonna actually bet my future son with my current son.
I got a new son maybe on the way. Well
see no, I'm like, oh, I had to keep going

(31:20):
with I say, a future son. But breaking news, not
breaking news. But I'm gonna put my son's mortgage on
this spread. Man, twenty one and a half? Are you
kidding me?

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (31:29):
You will have graduated and you know what, I'm gonna
break it down.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
I'm gonna break it down like Marcella, We're gonna talk
about it. I'm gonna break it down for you all right,
come on, okay, I'm with you. They're gonna blow them
out the water.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
And you know, James Madison is cool if you're talking
about ice cream, but football, I'm not buying it.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Oh that's Dolly Madison. Yeah, wrong one. And you didn't.
You didn't continue to break it down you're talking about
I'm an break it down for you.

Speaker 5 (32:05):
I want something to say. Right I'm by my phone
about to blow up. I'm told you stop doing that.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
You're going back to school. Dang, you've been hating on
me today.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
I know that's because you came in person. I finally
get the hate on you. Let me tell you why
you're going back to school. We live in LA, and
LA always has a movie, some type of heroic, rudy
type of movie, and they're gonna do it for their coach.
They have an extra motivation. Let's try to win it
for the gipper. And they're gonna go out there and
they're gonna lose, but they gonna make it relatively competitive

(32:38):
and they'll lose by twenty two or something that's.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Still not covering the spread spread against twenty one and
a half? Did I say twenty two at nineteen?

Speaker 5 (32:44):
Stop listening to me, and they're actually gonna go out
there and make it competitive, and they will lose ultimately,
we know all know that. But I think they'll try
to do it for their coach who's leaving and try
to go out on a good note. So they'll lose,
but I think they will cover. But I'm absolutely not
putting my daughter's money on that.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Heck, now, I don't. I don't trust that sounds like
a law a law school we talk about. I'm bring
it down for you, all right, come on.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
The reason why that's so funny? I do the impressions
on this show, and you doing that impression was absolutely
that was it? That was Mallas all right, It was
absolutely Mark Mark always. Yeah, you've had a great first
year with the college kid.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Yeah, don't be just rolling up on this. A couple
more shows, don't we rob you?

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Or no?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
A couple more Yeah, we got a couple more more.
We got the playoffs and stuff, playoffs.

Speaker 8 (33:34):
Talk about the playoffs. Hopefully my chiefs can make it please.
You want a better Jordans on that.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
He don't do it.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
Brother, Listen, you know I've been I've been saying it
was don't do it don't do it, all right, Mark,
appreciate you man as always. All right man, After all that,

You know that ain't nobody you can talk about whoever, whatever,
whatever you want to in the Boss No, it's shop talking.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
Let's trying to shop talking segment. We talk about something
happen outside of the world of sports. This week's topic
comes to the world of TikTok because you know it
is holiday season.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Everybody's flying all over the country.

Speaker 6 (35:01):
Rob Parker just got back, Calvin got family coming in
and this couple sparted sparked an incredible debate when she
posted a video of her and her boyfriend traveling back
home for Thanksgiving holiday, and she says, it's all great
having a new man in your life, except when you're traveling.
Now you've got to sit in the middle seat. And
that got people all hot and bothered about. Hey, when

(35:22):
you're traveling with your significant other, is it on the
man or the woman to sit in the middle seat?
Rob Parker, you do the most traveling on this show.
What's the appropriate answer.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Rob, don't get fired. Okay, there's two things that.

Speaker 10 (35:39):
Going Rob caution, don't get fired.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
The woman It depends on her size where she don't.
Charles Barkley talking about right now, I'm always gonna sit
on the aisle.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
I'm not sitting in the middle seat if i'm but
I'm just saying, if you have like a like, if
there's another guy on the other side, do you want
the guy touching.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Your girl if you put her in the middle. Do
you see what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Like there's a little bit of app But if she's
really big too, can she really in the middle?

Speaker 3 (36:12):
But you already gave your answer. You said it doesn't
matter what's going on, saying I'm always sitting in the Sorry. Yeah,
you basically just went over all types of body types
for no reason. I'm sorry.

Speaker 9 (36:22):
Sorry you Bill tell you she a little thick Alex,
where are you? Okay, my girl's not going skiing. Okay,
she's sitting by the aisle. I'll take the middle seat.
We're not gonna have any issues, respectably. We take care
of our boot.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
She's smaller than you. Why she's sitting.

Speaker 9 (36:36):
There's a restaurant more than I will probably too. She
wants to be comfortable, she wants to feel safe.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
She could climb over you to go to the restroom.
It's okay, that's sexy. I'm sorry. What you say say quick?
Say it over time? I said that you are. That's
a wonderful thing. Thank you, rob G.

Speaker 6 (36:55):
I'm always sitting in the middle seat because I'm a
gentleman and i want her to be more comfortable. If
she wants to look out the windows and to see
the Grand Canyon, or if she wants to be closer
to the bathroom, that's cool.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
I'll be the one that suffered. Sometimes you got to
stand up to your wife. You know my wife life.
You have a wake up dad, rob I have can't
you can't you let your wife ruin your life?

Speaker 6 (37:19):
Rob I got you ask me the question, Kelvin, what
when you're flying with Tony who sits in the middle seat?

Speaker 3 (37:25):
She does?

Speaker 5 (37:26):
Why because she don't listen to this show? Because no,
because it's the opposite.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
She she will do it for me. She would be like, Oh,
I know you're gonna be want to come. I know
you need your room.

Speaker 5 (37:37):
I know you just I'll be all right. I lean
on you, I'll sleep on you. You call her, call
her her number. Her number is to to too, not
for you, but call her, rob G.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Seriously in the middle to make your wife comfortable as absolutely,
why does your wife say to you, rob G? You
do a great job as a husband. You you take
care of all the response ability, You do everything. I
want to make you comfortable for a change. What is
so wrong with the woman catering to the wife? Hey, Elijah,

(38:09):
you just flew across the world, could he hear us?

Speaker 10 (38:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Looking? Which way are you? Elijah? Which way? Where are
you at?

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I know your wife is not taking the aisle seat
what he says in the aisle, of course.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
Elijah, But he's where's the pants?

Speaker 6 (38:25):
And would have loved to hear that conversation with Rob
on his honeymoon, like I know that we just watched
Tiger Woods and the mask. Now you put me in
and now you're sitting in the middle seat, so you
lose twice on his shrip thirteen.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Hour real talk, she real talks.

Speaker 5 (38:38):
She would she would give me the isle because her
point is you're bigger, You're you know you you need
more room.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
You like the eyes. No, b I'll just lean on
you off. See when we fly to the super Bowl,
you have to sit u easy.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
He's sitting in the middle. You should have never told me.
Anytime we go to ask you to be together, you
going and where we don't want to see, We don't
want What a baby seat Yep, Put him in it,
strop him in
