Speaker 5 (01:03):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Shout out to fred Freddy Freddie Rue Route, Yaddie Rue Route.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
From the Ganggang the New York ten. Yeah, from the
eleven of us.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yes, yes, okay, said y'all had your own football team.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, we had a whole eleven of us shout out
to him.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Hey, you and I talked a little bit about this,
but you think you were on your baseball tour of
America something. That's how you when we kind of touched
on a little bit more. But just hold the whole
arch Manning. And this was early on. Everybody was basically,
he's gonna be the Heisman winner, They're gonna win the
National championship, and Shae He's gonna be the number one pick.

(01:41):
And that's what everybody was saying before they even really started.
I'm like, y'all know, he didn't even start last year
right like he was coming off the bench. Obviously, the
season didn't go exactly how he or Sarkisian or Texas
wanted it to shay Uh, they kind of underachieved for
the first half of the season.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
They definitely have so Yeah, reports are coming out actually
this morning, new reports have come out that our plan
is actually gonna take a pay cut to return to
Texas instead of going to the NFL Draft. The kid
is going on to play another year. After last season
throwing for twenty nine hundred and forty two yards, twenty
four touchdowns, seven interceptions, and a QBR of seventy point six,

(02:21):
didn't really rise to anyone's expectations. He did have some
good moments, you could say, but it was uneven.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Yeah it was.

Speaker 6 (02:30):
But I'll let you guys decide if this was the
right move for Manning to come back and play with Texas.
And again reports are coming out this morning that he's
actually taking a pay cut.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Now well, turn, well, look he can take a pay cut,
rob because we know money is not a thing. Your
grandfather played in the NFL. Both you know, he didn't
make a lot of money, right, but what he's made
money by being who he has been.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
But I'm yeah, he was in a different era.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Your your uncles have made all the money and continue
to make all the money. And your dad, I'm sure
has done fine for himself, was a fine football player
before he broke his neck in high school. So the
money was never a thing for me. Meaning yes, if
we can add to it, why not? Because one thing
we know, rich people love You know about this, Rich
people love more money.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
That do play with me. Rich people love more money.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
But I was saying this while you were touring all
the baseball stadiums in America.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I said y'all, he's coming back.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I don't care how successfully is all the stuff everybody's
hoping and projecting in preseason this and you know all
of that, you know, national pick for this. I said,
he's gonna come back because he doesn't have to force anything.
He wants to create a legacy. He wants to create.
You know, I got everything I wanted.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
I did.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I did well, got a chance to win a national championship,
maybe win a Heisman. He wants to compete for all
of those things because again, he's not in a rush
or a hurry to get somewhere. He wants to leave where. Wow,
look what this man meant to Texas. Look at the numbers,
Look at all the things he accumulated. Enjoy the college experience.
He ain't got a rush out of there. He can
enjoy it. And so I knew from the beginning that

(03:58):
I didn't expect him to leave unless it was absolutely crazy,
like fifty like of Joe Burrow his last year at LSU,
something where it was just absolutely insane. So I expected
him to come back. What I didn't expect world, was
it to be so rocky for him, you know, because
he didn't even play that great in some of their
wins against slam all teams though, teams that sound like
law schools. So he didn't even play well or hadn

(04:20):
games against them. So it is a lot to be desired. Now,
what's funny is Shay and Rob when you read some
reports and your favorite thing these some of these anonymous
execs have said, even if he came out this year,
if not the number one pick, he would probably be
the first quarterback pick because the raw talent is there.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
That's what they say.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
But I say, people are gonna want to still see
more for him, see him put a build up consistency
game after game after game. Can he be the best
player out there? Can he be the dominant player as
he's projected to be. I just think so it makes
sense that he's coming back, And because again he ain't
in no rush he does, he's not in a need better.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
If he would have played well, I think he would
have come out. And that's why I don't agree. I do.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
I think because because Paul Farnbaum from ESPN, I'll never
forget show you got that quote.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I heard this quote.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
Quote he is the best college football quarterback we have
seen since Tim Tebow. He said that early on.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Now he would like, this is the kind of praise
that he was getting and he didn't live up to
any of.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
That, because that's the name fifteen that had better years
than than what he did. But that's what I'm by
the way, why you're doing I might write him down,
Go ahead, all right, what I'm just saying, like, that's
that was the expectation. He didn't play anything. He didn't
play anywhere near that. So this makes total sense to me.
Not one time a ring about art. Exactly when Tim
Tebow was t bowing, you know, Vince, he was getting

(05:38):
text means the.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Only time I would get messages would be on Sunday
or something, you know, after he's kneeling down and doing
all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Who Tim Tebow, that's about art. But I'm praying for
you right now. He's not praying for me.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
But my point is that it just makes sense because
it just was and it was uneven.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
It didn't feel good, like like you're.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Going in but you feel like, uh, you know, you're
Brownie James getting into the NBA as you know, like
like you yeah, you're getting in and you got talent,
raw talent, but you didn't really show what you had
where people are like, man, where's the arch Manning sweepstakes?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Don't you remember tanking? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:25):
And there remember that tank for TUA, Like that's where
they got a quarterback on their sites and they're like,
we want that, dude.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Oh yeah, and you didn't have that.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Despite all of the uh press clippings and all of
this hyperbole from people like Finebaum and other college people
who really are into college football and watch the sport
on that level, they were all raving about him, he
didn't play up to that. So I think that's you
don't want to go in under those pretenses. You go back,

(06:56):
have another year, play better right, shopping up your skills,
and then you go out after that. I don't you
don't have to stay three years, four years, two years.
You play right.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Two years is starting as a starter, is what I'm saying,
and then you're good to go. And here's the other thing.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
While we're all everybody's oh, he's gonna be this, he's
gonna be that, dude, the guys that are playing right now,
the bow Nixes and the Jayden Daniels and all these guys,
and Cayleb Williams and all these they're getting thirty forty
forty plus starts Cal cam Ward. These guys are getting
starts at the start. You look at the guys who
are coming in and who are being high picks or
the guys that are having success. So the idea of

(07:34):
just coming in you only started would have been, you know,
thirteen games give or take this season and a few
maybe what whatever it was last year. If I know,
he's coming off the bench mostly like that's not really
how it's gone lately. These guys are coming in with
crazy starts because the transfer portals, ectas seas, extra seasons,
COVID seasons, so they're coming in very well.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
If he would have lit it up for Texas, you know,
I don't. I'm not still think you would have came back.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I don't, just because again I think he would he
himself the person.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Lit it up and was the Heisman Trophy winner and
all that like like the ex But I don't.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I don't only come back after you win a Heisman Trophy.
I think he would have had.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I think he would have wanted to win a national
title because again, he's not in a rush.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Even if next season he comes back and.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
He God forbid gets really hurt, he's still going to
be a top pick because they already know he is.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Well, it depends on the injury, but I get I
get it.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
You know, we saw Willis McGahee shatter his leg on
National TV the National Championship game and come back still
be in the first round, first round pick, and that
was a running bad go why he was all right?
Just solid career. Yeah, he wasn't a player that he
was in college. Yeah, but he had a good career though,
Like all things considered, I do you know about him?
Give me something from Willis McGahee. Anything he probably rushed for,

(08:49):
so you know what I mean. That's what I'm saying,
Like six.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Thousand yards look this up, shamee, look it up. I'm
just saying.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I'm just saying, I get your point. He still was
drafted the next two uh thought, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
He was. We've playing guys.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
Should have had like Brian Robinson, Junr Like he got shot.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah yeah you know, Jaylen Smith, Yeah you had a
lot of I don't know why you said, because we
saw that on National is what I'm saying. We saw
his head a National Championship game. We saw his leg
go the other way.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Yeah, you're right, Actually, that's yeah he did. Okay, I
got his stats right here. Yeah he did all right,
he did all right. He had two thousand and ninety
five total rushing yards.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Okay, I take that back. I was game.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I spoted he said six thousand. Yeah, that's all he had. Dang,
well's I take that back. He had a year and
a half that that.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
That is why I was saying to you, I don't
remember this great queer in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Had a better get hold on. Let me let me,
let me read.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
Look at that.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
It takes some time, okay, Okay, what he had eight thousands?
Okay to say, I'm like years, how many how many years? Play?

Speaker 6 (09:47):
Ninety five rush attempts? Okay, but he only had sixty
five touchdowns? How many years did you play? He played?

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Just cute.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
Six seven, he said, a lot of years. He played
from two forty thirteen.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, we had a nice career. Eight thousand, y'all. You
know they put ten thousand as the benchmark for guys.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
I don't remember.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
I feel like sixty five touchdowns is not a lot
for that many years, though.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Think about it, though, if you played ten years six
a year if you want to cut it and go,
you know, sixth.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Year, that's nice, sixteen year. Everybody ain't alt he.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
Had his first two years he had one thousand year yard.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, that's coming off the broken leg.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
That was the only two U and another one in
two thousand and seven. Yeah, and then in twenty eleven
he said I'm not done and had one thousand one.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Was that gay year. Had a good career. Was his
best year. Actually tell you he came back. It was bawling.

Speaker 6 (10:39):
Yeah, he did come back.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, y'all have hey, don't ever do that again. Shot
you had me shook it? Yeah, no, you're I was like.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
Man, there's a reason you're over there and I'm over here.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
I was like, wait a minute, I thought again. I
swear he was on my fantasy a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
I don't remember. I don't remember him having that because
that was the thing. It was like, because remember the gamble?
I remember, what would you do?

Speaker 3 (10:57):
I remember?

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Do you remember? Do you remember what the gamble was?

Speaker 7 (10:59):
For him?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
No?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Because he was obviously elite Miami or him or Miami
however it works. But it was a million dollar insurance policy.
So basically then policy is if you never go back
to playing football. You get a million dollars, that's a policy.
Or you take your shot and who knows, you might
crumble your leg the first play.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (11:20):
You take that million and say, hey, at least I
got a career, I got education in Miami. I got
a million dollars. I can start a life. Or you
take the gamble.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
But a million, ain't that you?

Speaker 6 (11:27):
And a half million dollar insurance policy?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
That's what it was.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
A million dollar policy for the hurricane sophomore stud It
was projected to be a top.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Two and had that's real money, Rob, No, I know
a million now.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
After taxes? You know what I mean? Like a million again?

Speaker 4 (11:44):
You ain't got to pay the taxis okay? Now you're
down to seven hundred. You ain't got a part eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Where are you on? Arch Manning? Did he make the
right decision going back to Texas?

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Some say he could have missed it will be the
first round pick this year. Some execs are saying that
that he didn't have to go back, that they saw enough.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
He's he's raw, but he they they see the raw talent.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Would you have gone back? Chance?

Speaker 4 (12:11):
To dissect you even more, point out more of your flaws,
and a chance for you to get hurt.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
There's a lot of things that can happen.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
We saw Matt Lioner go back when he's supposed to
be the overall number one pick, went back when he
came back.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Guess what he was a tenth pick.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Cos Hadham shook bro He couldn't give her. He couldn't
get away from the Coeds. He was like, I'm coming back,
but you know I'm coming back. I didn't understand. But
what okay, So you go to the NFL. You still
can't get co Eds people. Dude, co winnit money?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
You know what I'm saying. No, I don't. I don't.
La did not have a football team. He was the man, yes,
but I'm just him Reggie.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
So he won the man go Houston or Tennessee is something?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
He went the man there. They were like, who is
this dude? I don't know this dude? All right?

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Eight seven seven ninety nine, l all, that's why you here?
Eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Where are you? An arch many mistake or the right move?
We want to hear from you.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
Man?

Speaker 10 (16:37):
It's good from y'all.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
Man.

Speaker 10 (16:38):
It's hard to get through these days.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Man.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
Man, Well, hey, you know, if you got through her easy,
it might mean we are going right on the show,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 10 (16:50):
I'm happy for the success man, But I had to
call him because you know, I'm from New Orleans, born
and Reeds, so I kind of you know, I feel
like I could speak to this. I remember when Leonard
Flourtnette was playing in high school, everybody went to his games,
right when when when Odell Beckham was playing, everybody went
went to his games. When Jamont Chase was playing, it

(17:11):
was much c TV.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
I never remember.

Speaker 10 (17:15):
Somebody saying they had to go see arch Man in
sleep is doing new Man plays against No disrespect to
the kids, but the competition is not the same. So
with him going to Texas, I personally never was like, Oh,
he's getting ready to take over the game. He's gonna
get the next keyboard, like fine Bo said.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I don't know what he was right, that's that's the reason.
But that was all the way in. I was like, wow, okay,
I do want.

Speaker 10 (17:42):
To say this. If I was here him, you know,
if people got money, stay in college long as you can. Man,
keep developing, keep just getting better.

Speaker 7 (17:48):
Man, No doubt.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Orleans love it down there. Except for the riots.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
We did see it, right, you didn't even see it.
She said, watch out for it was so big true story.
Mary Lady said, how y'all doing, Hey, watch out for
the rats A cop out there.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
She was like, there's a rat so all you know,
I don't want to see them.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
We had to turn around anyway because we were going
wrong direction to the restaurant. Rob was at the restaurant
in ten seconds. It took the rest of us three
minutes to get there. Rob, she said, how y'all doing it? Hey,
watch out for the rat man. Rob was like a
looting tune.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Come out.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
It was a live right and it was just a
trail of smoke behind Rob. You ain't ran that fast
as your little league days.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
No doubt. But shouldn't you be used to rats? No
rats growing up in New York at the subway.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
No, I don't want to see Robs when I'm in
here and we're watching some boxing something and some blood
all every I don't want to see that another day.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Tell Alex the other day, Hey Alex, what's on the TV? Here?
Can you turn? I don't want to see that? It
was Jangle Mary Now. It was a scene when they
had Jamie upside down. I don't want to see that.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
He was like, hey, Alex, can you you know how
you're talking to top? Can you change it channel?

Speaker 2 (19:03):
What is I don't want to see this? What is it?
Andrew and Bakers feel good? But you want to go
with Bank a couple of Fox Sports Radio? What's up? Andrew?

Speaker 3 (19:15):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Guys?

Speaker 7 (19:16):
You'll rob Queen's lounge, that's rights watching. I think he
made the right decision to stay because he's got he's
got some growing to do. But Shay said he's got
to take a pay cut. And I just think to myself,
have we all lost our minds because you go to

(19:36):
college to not work yet and to learn, and now
these guys have to worry about money and making money.
And I'm going to keep ringing that bell.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Andrew, you know what, let me let me say this
to you, and I'm not I'm not even blaming the kids.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
Hold on, I really want to talk to you about this.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
The reason we're here is because these networks have given
these universities ridiculous amounts of money. They sell season tickets
that advertise, like, seriously, this is not when I was
in college or you know years ago you had of
your student's student ID. You don't have to buy season tickets.
You went to the games, Andrew, you get what I'm saying,

(20:17):
Like it was really amateur sports. It is so big
now and the money is so big they couldn't do
it anymore.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
They couldn't.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
They couldn't equate playing football getting free education to the
amount of money that they make that that that comes
to the university.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Do you see what I'm saying, Andrew?

Speaker 7 (20:35):
But they put it in an account and they get
it once they make the pros and once they graduate.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Well, here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
This is to Rob's point, the problem is, this is
what happens when you don't do the right thing for
so long. They overcompensate. Now we're in a wild wild
West because they everybody's starting to bail out and this
and Andrew, had they taken the responsibility.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Of paying the players from the game.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Stipe, from the money Stipe, you wouldn't be in this situation.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
You wouldn't be in the wild woh West.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Because they were like, well, once they lost the court
case or whatever, they knew that they couldn't enforce it.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
They were like, well, let somebody else pay them.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
So once you say let somebody else pay them, you
can't dictate how much money people are getting.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
And it gets weird. And that's where they That's why
I wanted too tight for so long. Answer your point, Rob,
you got to coach Andrew. Appreciate your Drew Happy holidays.
You got to coach look at you in your face,
telling you, man, it's not about money, it's about this,
worry about this play hard. It's for your pride. Let
me call my agent real quick. How much we how
much we got. Yeah, coach, they're gonna give you three
years thirty million.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
I'm out.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
And by the way, you got a coke deal so
every time you do your press conference, put a coke
on the table. That'll be another two mil. Oh and
by the way, you got your dealership over there. But
a little such and such over there. But better not
gonna get no getting no tattoos, rob No, it was terrible.
Better not go sign a couple of these to get
the biggest anti NCAA.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Basically, that organization was organized crime.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I caught it identity fraud. Organized crime. It was identity
I've been saying this for years, identity fraud. You're taking
these kids name like this an image and then I
go sign an autograph and I'm in trouble.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
I loved that.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
One was the college football game where they would take
the team from the particular year Ohio State, the running
back the number here, Oh that's not you.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
That's not what hey height saying, weight say complex and they.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Would be like, oh, no, that's wearing your number the
season that you won the national championship all that. But
they told the kid it wasn't him, that's not you,
that's just exactly. Okay, we got a guy in a
video game that's literally you, and it was so bad,
so bad that they shut down the company rather than
pay the kids.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
And now they brought it back and they.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Tricked the kids in the sign of releases and giving
them fIF five hundred bucks in the game.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
But am I right?

Speaker 4 (22:52):
They shut down the business rather than share any money
with the player.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
And this is what happens when you ignore it. He's
so small.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
You do it right, You're doing it right here, you go,
take care of you. But now now here we are,
and of course they got to figure this thing out
at some point. That will on the way Sean King
down with the kids. We'll be down with the King
after Steve the Sager gives you this award winning up day.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Steve, Hello, gentlemen.

Speaker 11 (23:12):
We've got the opener of the college football Playoff underway
and Oklahoma into the red zone scoreless with about six
minutes to go first quarter, the number eight Sooners hosting
the number nine Alabama Crimson tie. These first round games
are at campus sites. Tonight's winner goes to the Rose
Bowl quarterfinal against number one Indiana. The three other first

(23:32):
round games are on Saturday, Oklahoma had the ball first
went up hunting tonight, then Alabama went three and out.
Now a nice drive going for Oklahoma again. They're in
the red zone. First and goal coming up. Duke quarterback
Darian Menso will return next season. He had transferred there
from Tulane this past offseason. Arizona State wide receiver Jordan
Tyson declared for the NFL drafts, who he's expected to

(23:54):
miss the Sun Bowl against Duke in Tampa today. NC
State won a bowl game against Memphis thirty one. Western
Michigan defeated Kennesaw State forty one to six. Oklahoma is
in the end zone. Extra point would make it seven
to nothing. Sooners over Alabama about five and a half
minutes to go in the first quarter of the playoff opener.
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is due back on

(24:16):
the field Sunday at Arizona after missing four games with
a knee injury. Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Junior says
he'll return Sunday from a heel injury. A reminder, there
are two NFL games on Fox TV Saturday, Philadelphia at
Washington and Green Bay at Chicago limited night in the
NBA currently early third quarter at Boston, it's the Miami

(24:38):
Heat leading sixty seven sixty five over the Celtics. Nicks
at home early in the third lead sixty one sixty
against Philadelphia. Big lead late first half for San Antonio
up sixty six forty four. At Atlanta, Hawk star guard
Trey Young is out for rest. He just returned from
injury last night in the NHL. Among the five games
going this evening, Hurricanes lead to nothing at the Panthers

(25:01):
late second period. US soccer player Tyler Adams will miss
up to three months with a torn MCL. The Angels
agreed to a settlement with the family of their late pitcher,
Tyler Skaggs, after thirty one days in court.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Back to you all right, Steve, thank you so much,
our couple Robin Kelvin on a funky flashback Friday again,
Happy holidays to you all. Thanks for rocking with your boys.
Speaking of boys, I'll get to tyre Reck first before
I get to Sewan. We gotta tell you about tyre Ra. We'
been telling them about it for years. For over forty years,
Tireck's been helping customers find the right tires for how
for what, and where they drive ship fast and free
back by Free World has a protection with convenient installation

(25:35):
options like mobile tire installation. That's right, they'll come to
you tire rech dot com the way tire biding should be.
And we are down with the King Sean King right now,
Sean King of course form my NFL quarterback, Fox Sports Radio,
NFL and analyst real Sean King, seaw I gotta get
some credit. By the way, some weeks ago, you were like, hey, man,

(25:55):
don't sleep on Indiana. You was calling out earlier a
couple you're sure shot and now I'm telling I'm telling Rob.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
We were talking a little bit about it.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I said, I don't think no matter who wins in
a couple of these games where they would face next,
I said, I'm not so sure they're not gonna be
able to win this whole thing.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Indians got a good squad. Hats off to Kurt Signetti.
But I want to start the segment with this two
lane twenty eight tomorrow old Miss twenty four.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Oh is that your all, Mamata? I know it is.
And this is this is no bias.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Yeah, that that's a no bias.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
This is like I was watching earlier when they picked
the game the winner tonight and uh, but of course
Nick Saban picked Alabama like like you know what I mean,
Like you guys can't help it, you know what I mean?
So you really got that? Hey, hey, let's been a
ten piece of wingstop, ten piece wingstock.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Absolutely Listen. When we went there during the regular season.
You know, Oxford, a little small town in Mississippi. They
only got two hotels. They put us in the Holiday Inn.
The doors opened right outside. We got food poisoning. Listen.
We stayed in New Orleans the night we're gonna drive
down tomorrow. Were going there, listen, were going to two
lane twenty eight, Oh miss twenty four.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
All right, we got that. How about this last night?
What a choke job by the Rams. That was a
choke job. Sean king Well.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
Special teams let them down. Seattle had no momentum going.
Sam Donald had more back into Sam Donald.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
They give up a pump return for a touchdown. Auto
momentum started to shift some kind of way. On a
two point conversion of the NFL called out a fumble
that might be the most bogus called ow season.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
How in fumble.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
And then all the kickers in this world, they have
a kicker. A team that has Super Bowl asci rations,
they have a kicker. It's only kicked in seven total
career games that he missed a field goal that would
have won the game in regulation. So it was a
special team that let him down. I still think come
playoff times Seattle's sake and the Rams were real.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Okay, why they think is it because of the quarterback?

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Yeah, you can't trust them down on the big stage.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
On the big stage. He was awful last night.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Me and Kelvin had this big argument to start the show,
and I said, all he did. He didn't change the
narrative last night. He just derailed it for a week
or two. Because I'm not I'm still not buying into him, and.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
I get there.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
All I said, Sean was you asked the man to
come through and the clutch win a big game.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
He did that awful three quarters in a big game
at home. Correct.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
I mean he was bad, Kate, I mean, come on,
I don't disagree with that.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
I don't disagree with that.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
I've been on here and a guy like him, he's
showing time and time again on the big stage.

Speaker 10 (28:39):
He freezes.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
They they tried to hide their quarterback for three quarters.
They got lucky on a long run by Kenneth Walker,
and then they got a punt return for a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
How about another quarterback, Philip Rivers is getting another start, Sean,
you got something now?

Speaker 2 (28:54):
And now this is why I like the players.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
I read all the comments and they're all, oh, yeah,
you know, like we just dude, that's why you're not
going to make the playoffs. That's why you're not going
to win because you have some grandfathers forty four years
old out there playing quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Sean, come on, it's disrespectful to the game.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
I think what it says is it's to be a
wake up call for these young quarterbacks that come out
of college with these big nil deals, but they got
no fundamentals, no ball location consistently that you know, I
got to step your game up.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
That it was it coronyism too, because.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
I think it's bad. It's not thirty two good quarterbacks
in the world right now. Fortunately, and this happened because
the coaches got unlucky. I mean, Daniel Jones tears and
Achilles answer.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
He wasn't playing well before that though.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
Janet he's a better option than Philippa.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Oh no doubt.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Okay, right, Anthony Richardson breaks his eye socket stretching before
the games. I mean they were kind of putting up
a carrious situation.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Go ahead, go.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
Ahead, No, I want to ask one more thing. The
Kansas City She's and Patrick Mahomes. I've been sending it
all year. Kelvin will tell you. I said they weren't
going to make the playoffs before.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
The season started, kicking somebody, no, no, no, and the offense
let them down.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
When they got those receivers back, they beat up three
really bad teams and everybody said they.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Were back unstoppable.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
How surprised are you how poorly the offense played and
that they're out of the playoffs.

Speaker 12 (30:22):
Before the injury, I think, I think you've kind of
seen the erosion of the explosive capability of the offense
since Tyry Kill left. Yeah, and they've been kind of
getting by just based on playing really good defense and
kind of Patrick Mahomes making some plays. But I think
now they see they got to go out and get
a lead around Patrick. They got to give him real weapons.

(30:42):
But she Rice is a real weapon.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
The rest of those guys are kind of specialist Hollywood
Brown in the back end of his career, Xavior Worthy
is like a one trick pony Travis Kelsey's old, right.
They got to go out and get explosive and better
around Mahomes And I'm sure he'll work his butt off
to get back to that injury. But I think this
was an eye opener for the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
He is, of course, Seawn King, former NFL quarterback, Fox
Sports Radio NFL, and I was looking ahead a little
bit to some of the games happening this weekend. I
see a divisional one between the Packers and Bears, obviously
a huge one for both teams. What do you make
of the Bears the lot down this stretch. They've been
playing well, They've been getting big wins, and now they
Sellman's hoping that they lose.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, they could. I definitely need it for the Lions.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
They got three straight against the Packers, the forty nine ers,
and then they close it out at home with the Lions.
What are you making this? This's a tough stretch for
any team. What do you make of this?

Speaker 5 (31:29):
Well? I believed in the Bears before the season. On
August seventeens. I put the Bears to win the NFC
North in ticket in so there for that reason. Green Bay,
I don't think it's the same without Parsons. If you
watch that game two weeks.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Ago, Aaron one out of them right.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
Was at Green Bay. Parsons kind of shadowed Caleb and
really prevented him from using that betters. So I think
he makes some players with his seat tomorrow extend some plays.
Do they have sustainability in the playoffs. I'm not sure
if Caleb is ready for that, but I want to
cast my ticket, so I'm going Bears. But I do
have a big con prediction. Okay, Suckle City Rob Yes,
put some money on the Houston Texans to win the

(32:07):
Super Bowl's defense in football, I.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Said that the Super Bowl defense, I'm not I'm not
showing from the quarterback like CJ. I'm not a big CJ.
Stroud ever since that after the first year, I'm gonna
be honest.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
He's got to prove it. But I think he's playing
a lot better since it came back from the concussions.
They finally got their full compliment of gotten healthy. I
think Houston is dangerous. I love the Miko Ryans as
a young coach.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
I saw this on the CBS highest pass touchdown to
interception ratio since the merger in the NFL. Okay, the
minimum one thousand attempts? That Okay, you know quarterback?

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Right?

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Who you know who's number one on the list?

Speaker 11 (32:52):
Right?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
We all are that.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
No Rogers, Rogers touchdown the intercept because he didn't throw
in the intercepts.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Of course, he's like thirty eight five right right?

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Okay, So so Aaron Rodgers number one? Who's number two?
A current quarterback who we're watching right now, who's number
two on this It's gotta be Lamar.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Lamar is third on the list.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
Oh okay, yeah, my initial thing would be Stafford.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Oh I know who it is. I know Rob, It's Caleb.
It's Caleb Williams. And I'm just kiving because I saw
this list.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Aaron Rodgers four point three, Caleb Williams three point four,
Lamar three point three, Patrick Mahomes three point one, Russell
Wilson three point one, and Tom Brady three point one.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
Well that's why you can't just go by stats alone,
because Caleb was uneven last year, but he didn't turn
the ball.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
No, no, no, we're done right. You're right. He wasn't even
turnover machine. Yeah he doesn't.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Just yeah, if you look at his stats, he didn't
have a bad year. But the fact that Russell Wilson
is on that list, come on, man, the last two years,
that just mean that Russell is not willing to take chances.
You know, so you can minimize an assumptions by not
being risky in order to win a championship, got it?
Not only take chances, you got to be good at
doing it. Me too decious on win to do it
so accurate. Football is when you do it like, that's

(34:06):
how you win a championship. Say what you want about
Jalen Hurts. He's played the best two games of his
careers in those superb football games.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
We talk about it all the time time. Yeah, those
two games easily, he played really well. They said stop
Saquan and you'll win the Super Bowl, and they stopped Saquan.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
And he was the MVP.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
The Lions Steelers game Big One. The Lions basically have
to win all three games. I don't think they're making
the playoffs. I picked them not to make it before
the season started. Where are you on the Lions and
their chances.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
I don't. I believe in the Steelers, so I think
this is ready made for the Lions coming off of loss,
Steelers coming off a win. But because of the injuries
in the secondary, I don't think they got a chance
to win it. They're good enough on offense, they can,
you know, go through stretches where they look at excellent
and elite, but just defensively, I mean that entire secondary
is injured, and I think that'll get exposed when you

(34:58):
look at the quarterbacks. Akers struggled a little bit, but
I believe in Baker. In the playoffs, you got Matthew Stafford.
Of course, you got Jaalen. Like I just think those
quarterbacks are gonna be able to take advantage of the
Lions if they make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
All right, Yeah, I can understand that at some point
the secondary just can't keep trying to bend but not break.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Sean man appreciate. What what's your quick Christmas?

Speaker 5 (35:18):
Man?

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Christmas? Any quick automatics other or is it just too lane?
That's what he said.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
You got twenty four man. Y'all have a wonderful holiday.
I'll see y'all next Friday.

Speaker 1 (35:27):

Speaker 1 (35:50):

the shelf to have a little break here because Aaron

joined us, Set to Lane, Set to Lane's Gonna Get
That Out, Guess Old Miss twenty eight, twenty four and
for every goal go ahead.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
I'm just saying, what if Nick David would have picked Oklahoma,
then that would that would have been a story, no surprise,
he picked uh Alabama?

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yeah, of course you knew that.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
And he got he got car dealerships and cars is
sale out there? All right, you got stuff to do. Crazy?
He ain't crazy. You know his Brandon, But they haven't
built his statue yet, have it.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Yeah? Well, okay, if anybody was supposed to get an
instant one, right, Look, you know I like Shador at all.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
But if Shador got an instant one nicked before his
last day, he was supposed to already have one up,
all right. Every goals starts with an assist on and
off the field. That is why haley On and US
Soccer are launching for the Assists at celebration of everyday
acts of support that helped people achieve their goals in
iconic brands like Cincinna and Toms, Voltaire and Atville and Centrum.

(38:13):
To learn more and go to haley On Assists dot com.
All right, he's been a few days for Pooka. The
Nikoua family has just been a lot brothers stealing cars,
a Laker player right, Yeah, young dude. I got a
chance to meet him at a media day. You had
a nice young brother, you know, finding his way in
the league and got his car stolen and his by
the way, his brother. I think it was twenty seven Puka,

(38:33):
if I'm not mistaken, ain't like he's right agen like
eighteen or so alleged was arrested for that. Yeah, So
that then you got the what we talked about with
Pookah a couple of days ago, him talking about the
league and you know how they got to get it
wrong and these refs just want to get on TV.
Then we had obviously semitic comment or gesture. I should say,
it's been a lot. But then he bought out last night.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
But now he had a based off big game.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
He had a big game. He's a great player, man,
for sure. Some news on when we were talking about
the referees, right shay.

Speaker 6 (39:04):
Yeah, So not even five minutes after the game ended yesterday,
Puca hit Twitter or X and uh send a tweet
out saying can you say I was wrong? Appreciate you
Stripes for your contribution period law.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
And McVeigh was not happy. Had the press co what's
what's going on? I don't know, but you and and
McVeigh has to answer it in the report.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
He's like, what are you talking about? You know, like
because he does don't even know. He's not on Twitter.
Just a tough game. Just was a tough game. And
now he's in the press.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
And of course the reporters have it because they see
it and did you see you know, like I'm sure
they're following him, all the players who are what's called
and they see it and they say what He's.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Like, I don't I can't comment on what I didn't.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
But the league came down on him twenty five thousand
dollars fine the tweet.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
The tweet was deleted, I think, like, not even twenty
minutes after he posted it.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Why put Why put it out? And this is what
I get. He's twenty four rove. This is the problem.
They can't if I have a thought, you meaning the
world has to know it, like you can yet that
in the locker room we can all agree. We could
be like we gotta screw we gotta you know, every
if I haven't thought, everybody has to do it. Now,
mind you, this is where and I was telling you

(40:14):
this now because of the podcast with the gesture, the
controversial Gester and all that. The people starting to kind
of scour through more of his episode and it ain't
