Boyer for Monday, December the twenty ninth. I hope everybody
had a phenomenal Christmas break. Mine was excellent. A lot
of time with the fam, a lot of doing nothing
but sitting around. Did get in a little bit of
working out, not a ton, and overall the weekend was

spent watching way too much football, I mean, and there
was a lot of bad football Saturday. You know, let's
be real, the game's stunk. Okay, As I wrote on
social media, life is too short to watch third string quarterbacks.
Malik Willis look good as a backup. I see some
Jets fans are like, if we can't get them in
dozer Dante Moore settle down, Fellas log off season ahead

for my Jets. Force fed a bunch of bad football Sunday. Yeah,
the Eagles Bills gave us like six fun minutes at
the end. We'll talk about that in a little bit,
but I gotta start with the thriller on Sunday night football. So,
as you guys know, I take a lot of heat
on the Herd for having the Jets as my team.
They stink. A couple of times I've been like, you
know what, I'm done with the Jets. I need to
find a new team. And because I'm such a brock

pretty guy, seventh round pick, last pick in the draft,
you know, I love a good underdog. I consider myself
an underdog. A couple of forty nine Ers fans have said, dude,
you should just back the Niners, and I'm like, well,
I kind of like the Rams. I kind of like
the Chargers because they're out here on the West Coast
and Rams play the Niners. But the forty nine Ers

are really easy to root for. I love Deebo Samuel
when he was on the forty nine Ers, so I've
kind of adopted them as like my team. And the
first bet I made this past week was a little
bigger than normal on the Niners. I was like, come on,
Niners got it minus three and I had him in
the contest. I had him in the weekly Pick them
bele surgeon that you don't really care about. I'm up

the third with a chance to win it outright, there
would be a nice haul for your boy. And I
wrote about it on the site and by the way
the site. I did pop it on IG over the weekend.
It's live, go sign up, subscribe, blah blah blah. And
I can't remember a game. Maybe the Super Bowl Eagles Chiefs.

It might have been the Super Bowl Niners Chiefs. I
don't know, But I can't remember a game where I
was so heavily invested in a team and I was
like genuinely nervous and I could feel my heart racing
fast because I really wanted the Niners to hold on.
So many narratives that play right. Number one seed is
not a narrative that's like a real thing. So now
we have a hugely meaningful game, Seahawks at Niners on Saturday.

Let's be real. The Niners got kind of screwed. Okay,
they played on Monday night football at the Colts, then
they played on Sunday Night football, and now they play
on Saturday Night football for the number one seed in
the divisi. So that's three games in thirteen days. Not
ideal for the Niners. Now, I know some Seahawks fans
are probably gonna be out, so well, it's a short

week for the Seahawks. You know the forty nine er,
say hold my beer and show you three games in
thirteen days. Okay, so let's be real. Seattle, by the way,
is lucky to be in this position anyway. Okay, what
was it ten days ago that the Rams were up
on Seattle thirty to fourteen with eight minutes left. If
the Rams win, that they get the number one seed.
Seattle gets a putt return, and then a bunch of wacky,

wacky stuff happens. And it was a great win. It
was extremely fortunate, and they were lucky to be down
sixteen with eight minutes left to come back and win.
Let's be real. Craziest two point conversion possibly in the
history of the NFL. And that's not even hyperbole. I
mean it was. It was a pass off a helmet
that everybody thought was incomplete, and I picked it up
at the end zone and it was ruled to conversion. Okay,

I'm not going overboard, so I don't want to hear
it Seahawks fans, the game should be great. I haven't
decided if I'm gonna be on the Niners. I'm recording
this right after the game, so I've got to flow
the energy. I'm just feeling it as I watched the
Lakers put the finishing touches on a win over the
Sacramento Kings, and so I will quickly. I just want
to dive into this game. Yes, I do like the
Niners a lot. Obviously, there is massive concern for that

horrific defense. I mean, they're not good guys. We know
that the Chicago Bears up and down the field. The
game was, as they said on the broadcast, it was
tied at seven to seven, fourteen, seven, fourteen, fourteen, twenty one,
twenty one, twenty eight, twenty eight, thirty five, thirty five.
First time that's ever happened. Anyways, I thought the big
story was Brock Perty and how incredible he was three

hundred three yards passing three touties, rushed for two more touchdowns.
I mean, Perty is on such a heater. Since the bye,
the Niners offense has twenty six drives, fifteen touchdowns, and
two punts. I mean that's ridiculous. Like we saw. I'm
just telling you, I watched a lot of bad football Sunday.
At one point, no, Lie, I'm watching it. I'm like, hey,

let's let's check out this new Jurassic Park with Scarlett
Joe Anson that's on Apple TV. I'll watch a game
on my phone. The games are just not fun. So
we actually did that. In the movie I thought was good,
you know, typical dinosaur fair but I really liked it,
and you know it was good. I mean, it wasn't
like you've got to go see this. It was just like,
that's a pretty good action movie that had some drama,
(05:18):
some gory death's storyline. Whatever. Anyway, so we get gifted
this great rock party game. And as soon as he
hit Juwan Jennings over the middle for that long Tuddy,
I was like, oh they score too soon. Bears come
all the way down the field. I know some people
are gonna quibble with the hook and ladder since they
had no timeouts left. Listen, that call has been money
for almost anybody who's run it. I saw the Bills

run it against the Eagles late in the fourth quarter.
That was pivotal. It works for almost everyone. The Lions
had really brought it to the forefront, and this worked
except for Lenore, the awesome cornerback who basically the bear
said we're not We're not throwing at him. DJ Moore
was essentially out there running cardio. He had in an
amazing game where Caleb Williams threw the ball forty two times.

Djmore had four targets, he had one catch. I mean,
Leonore's an awesome cornerback. He sat in his position after
the catch by Loveland, and so he was there to
make the tackle on Swift who was coming at him
like a frickin' tank. And Leonora made a great tackle.
And then they're scrambling because they had no timeouts, leaving
one play. So here's the awesomeness about this final play.

The truth and we all know this is Robert sala
is an excellent defensive cordator. He is doing magic with
a ton of guys who probably have no business starting
in the NFL. They can't generate any pressure if they
don't blitz. They had zero sacks. I'm trying to see
how many quarterback hits they had. It felt like there
weren't many. What is that three quarterback hits when I

got drafted back forty two times? That's not good, guys,
not good at all. But on the final play, how
about this from Robert sala He sets up like it's
an almost empty blitz. He had the safety back in
the middle of the end zone. Everybody else of the
line of scrimmage, and Caleb's diagnosing that, thinking oh, it's
gonna be a blitz. He rush. Robert Sala rushes to

and drops everyone else. Defensive lineman drop instantly. You can
see Caleb be like, what the hell? You can see
that in his eyes as he's dropping back. And when
you are totally confused like that you don't sit in
the pocket. He rolls out and at that point, you
know Caleb's dangerous was his legs. But everybody drops, so
Caleb knew he wasn't gonna score. And you see I
think it was ninety one, a defensive tackle who had

been in the middle of the end zone just you know,
there to confuse the quarterback on all. You know, Ben
Jonson loves the mesh routes and all that stuff. You
can't throw a mesh route when there's like six guys
in the middle of the end zone. Ninety one decides
to screw it. I'm going after Caleb, and he rushes
Caleb and forces to throw off his back foot into
the middle of the end zone and incomplete. It was

just an awesome genius play for Robert Sala. And I
know people are gonna say, oh, come on, Sala can't
be that good.

I'm just telling you, guys, they got nobody. They cannot Again,
that they can't generate pressure is not a surprise. Okay,
they don't blitz, they get no pressure. They're dead last
in sacks. Did not drop Caleb once. I mean, you
give guys like, I mean, some of these dudes, I've
never heard of most of them, and you give Caleb time.
He's going to deliver. He had a good game, three

hundred thirty yards, seven point nine yards per attempt. Now,
I did feel collins Worth was being a little overly
critical of Caleb. Yes, there was a throw to Burden
on the final drive where he was rushed to the
right and he was kind of on the run and
had to make a throw and it didn't get there,
And I thought collins was supposed to is like, oh,

that's a touchdown if he catches it. You know, Caleb's
had a few of those, bro, He's a second year
quarterback on the road in a high intensity game Sunday
night football. I mean, he's worked magic all season and
I'm like, I just, yes, he missed a couple throws.
You're gonna kill the guy. Hi. He did, had no
turnovers for Caleb like, I mean, he played a really

good game. Burden had a drop, but it didn't matter.
It really came down to the final play. Sala with
a genius, absolutely genius, defensive play call that is going
to rattle ninety nine percent of quarterbacks just because you
know time and situation only go rushing too. You don't
know where the where everyone else is. And they had
a spy at the line of scrimmage, like just messing

around with the defensive tackle. It was a bizarre call,
but it was spectacular from Robert Sala.

A couple other things. So the Bears have six fourth
quarter comebacks this season, and they also have six games
maybe the same games when they're trailing with less than
two minutes left. How crazy is that? I guess, Yes,
I've been lower on market. I come away from this thinking, yeah,
the Bears can make a run and maybe get to
the super Bowl. I did not think that was even

possible before it's gonna be tough with the first time
quarterback in the playoffs. We know they struggle. Okay, You're
facing ideally some of the best defenses in the league.
Guys have had a lot of time to prepare. Well,
not a lot, but you've got an entire season of
tape on Caleb, and you've got the sharpest minds. And
I mean it's tough on the numbers. I'm not going

to give it to you now. Fine, I'll give them
to you now. Okay. So last year, three quarterbacks were
starting in the playoffs for the first time. In the
first round Bo Nicks, they scored early, did not cover,
lost Jaden Daniels one against Tampa. They were plus three
and Sam Darnold was a small favorite and they lost

and got smashed Vikings against the Rams. So if you
go back quarterbacks making their first start, facing a quarterback
with playoff experience, the first time starters are twenty thirty
nine and one against the spread, that is abysmal. That
is terrible. That is an almost auto bet against. And

this year we're looking at three, two or three Drake May,
Caleb Williams, and possibly Bryce Young if they beat Tampa
and get in the playoffs. I definitely now here's what
the matchups would be. If the forty nine Ers beat Seattle,
and again I think they will, so I'm just looking
at that angle. Niners one get the buy Packers at Bears.

I would take the Bears there. I know it's Lafleur,
it's Caleb. I would lean Bears there only because I
just don't know what's going on with Jordan Love and
the concussion. Yes, the Packers basically beat them twice. I
know they ended up blowing the sixteen to six lead
with two minutes left a couple of weeks ago. That
was maliquillis for what it's worth. But they will have
now had several weeks by the time this game rolls
(12:00):
around without Micah Parsons to adjust the defense, and they
got absolutely roasted by Snowpuntley and quarterbacks are running clearly
as you saw Huntley against the Bears. I would lean
Caleb going in the face of yes, and now if
that's if it's Packers, I think that's that would probably be.
(12:22):
I would probably go Bears. The other matchup would be
Seattle at Philly. I mean, you guys have seen the
Eagles defense there's no way I'm taking Sam Donald in Philadelphia, No,
no shot. Now, the Seahawks defense look really good, ravenous
if you will against the Panthers. But no, I'm not
betting Sam Donald on the road. And the other matchup
in the NS he would be Rams at Bucks, and

I would lay. I'm guessing Rams will be six and
a half, six and a half seven. I don't see
how you can if you do want a teaser and
you think, hey, let me let me punch up the
Packers plus. I don't know they'll be on the road.
I don't know, Packers plus eight and a half maybe,

and then to Rams just to win the game, something
like that. I would tinker with the teaser on that front. Man,
I love me some Brock Party. I don't. Ultimately, I
don't think the Niners can win the Super Bowl with
that defense. I would be stunned. That being said, all
they need is to wins and getting the bye would
be massive. They just got to beat Seattle. If they
don't beat Seattle, forget about it. I mean, I don't.

They're definitely not going to Philadelphia and winning that game,
not with this defense. All right, So the only other
good games Sunday was Eagles Bills, and you guys know,
obviously if you're on the site, I rode up Eagles.
They get the win and cover barely surviving. Unbelievable stat
Philly had seventeen yards in the second half. Jalen Hurts
(13:53):
now has two wins this season, two where he doesn't
have a completed pass in the second half. I don't
know how that humanly possible. I can't stand the Eagles
offensive coordinator. They just totally take their foot off the gas.
And maybe this is Sirianni, and you know what, the
maybe the only way to fix this is the Eagles
lose their first playoff game and then they fire Sirianni
and the OC and finally get a real coach because

it is just cool. It's unwatchable. I don't know what
they're thinking. And I mean the Eagles defense looked as
good as it has and I mean, Jalen Carter coming
back is just so massive. They had five sacks of
Josh Allen, seven tackles for loss, held James Cook to
seventy four yards. I mean, the Bills basically were sitting
on zero points until there was like seven minutes left

in the game, the Buffalo Bills could do nothing. Now,
it was raining. I get that, but you know, when
you're leading receiver is Brandon Cooks. By the way, show
of hands of people who knew that the Brandon Cooks
was even on the Bills. I did not know that. Okay,
this is why he was on New Orleans until looks
(15:00):
like he got to Buffalo around November thirtieth or November
twentieth or whatever. First game was November thirtieth. So Brandon
Cooks had one catch in the first game with the Eagles,
then zero, zero and zero in the next three appearances.
But he was their leading receiver today. What does that say?

I just don't know what to make of the Bills man.
If Allan isn't going Superman. And by the way, the
ankle was not great. It got reinjured. Seven carries twenty
seven yards. He wasn't. I mean the announcers Brady and
my guy Kevin Burkhardt. I think I've told destroy.

I used to cover high school sports in Jersey Many
moons ago and Kevin Burcott was like the announcer of
some high school football games, and they were talking about
it like they're like, do you think the Eagles know
that Josh Allen can't run because he stopped running after
he tweaked the ankle, and essentially he was just, you know,
a sitting duck in the pocket, I mean two point conversion.

They go for it. Fine. Allan couldn't plant and just
missed his receiver. Very rare, but usually two pointers. Josh
Allen on the moved. He was not moving. My guess
is and next Sunday's slate is horrific. My guess is
he's sitting next week to heal the ankles. James Cook
is sitting. I haven't looked as closely at the NFC

playoff picture. Let me call it up here real quick.
So it looks like Buffalo is seven. Oh goodness, dear,
oh boy. All right, So Denver's one, New England's two.
If Denver wins and New England loses, Denver gets the

number one seed. If they're tied, Denver gets the number
one seed. Let's see who Denver's playing next Sunday. Denver
is hosting the Oh They're hosting the Chargers. If I'm
the Chargers, I sit Herbert for sure. I don't even
think it's a question. You can't really enhance anything. It's
almost certain you're gonna be going back to Jacksonville to

play the Jags. Although the Jags play the Texans, and
oh that's interesting. I would much rather face the Jags,
even though they beat me thirty five to six, than
the Texans, whose defense is just is just overwhelming. And
as we saw Saturday, the Chargers could really do nothing
and still because Justin Herbert is so heroic, kept them

in the game. Unbelievably, their kicker Cameron Dicker, who has
been automatic he'd been right there with Brandon Aubrey all season,
misses a field goal and an extra point or we
would have gone overtime. But Texans jumped to an early
lead and much like the Eagles, took their foot off
the gas. Listen, man, this is what you get when
you don't have an offensive guy as head coach. Sirianni
Demigo Ryans, both of them do this nonsense. Well, hey,

we don't want to make a mistake, Like what are
we doing? Like very very strange. Anyways, Chargers at the
six Buffalo seven Buffalo will likely visit New England or Denver.
I don't think that's you know again, people are way
way overboard on this New England team. Yeah, I know

they smashed my Jets. May get the score for you,
forty two to ten. It was forty two three and
the first half yardage three forty four to sixty eight.
Drake May seventeen of nineteen two hundred twenty nine yards
four touchdowns in the first half. They look good, guys,
Patriots are good. It was the Jets. They barely beat

the Bills on the road in the early meeting, and
they had a huge lead and then just gagged it
away in the second meeting. I would if i'm I'm
as long as the Bills rest their guys and they're
fine because nobody's overtaking them for seven and frankly the
only team I don't want to. So your options are,
would you rather play at New England, at Jacksonville or
at Pittsburgh. Obviously at Pittsburgh, but you'd have to win

and have other stuff happen, so you're not in control.
I would just say, if I'm Buffalo, I'm punting the game.
I'm getting my guys healthy, and I'm game planning for
Round three with the Patriots, and I think the Bills
will win that game. If I'm the Chargers, I'm resting
my guys. I'm saying, hey, Houston and Jacksonville, you guys
beat each other up this week, going for the division,
We're gonna rest our guys. Wait a minute, Wait a minute,

hold up, Am I seeing this correctly? Tennessee at Jacksonville,
Indianapolis at Houston. Damn. So I guess there will be
a lot of scoreboard watching going on in those two.
So essentially Jacksonville. Yeah, it looks like Jacksonville is going

to It's probably gonna win the division unless you guys
see a scenario where Tennessee goes to Jacksonville wins. But
if I'm the Chargers, I say, I can't adjust my position.
I'll live with going to Jacksonville for a round two,
and actually it's round three because you remember the first
time they met in the playoffs, the Chargers led I
think twenty seven to nothing and it ended up losing,

which was absolutely staggering. That was a classic playoff game.
But yeah, I think you just got to rest your guys,
get healthy, and then hope the Jags and Texans, you know,
put forth a full effort to try to win the division,
and then Texans and Steelers. That's a bloodbath. I would
take CJ. Stroud on the road.

Not determined yet. So Vegas has the number one pick,
followed by the Giants, followed by the Jets. Now here's

the thing. If you guys watch the Giants. Jackson Dart
doesn't want to lose games. He doesn't he wants to
win games. Jackson Dart is playing all out. He's dancing
and celebrating. He's got this new IG girlfriend. I'm sure

She's kind of a big deal. And he's living the

living a good life. Jackson Dart is enjoying life. I
would not be shocked if they beat Dallas next weekend
home Now, Dallas' offense is a machine, but I think
the cow Cowboys could struggle outdoors. We'll see what the
weather situation is, and if the Giants happen to win

Dante Moore is theirs, assuming Dante Moore comes out. I
am working on my first mock draft, haven't done one
in a while, and let's just say it is. It's
a fine draft first round, at least what I've seen
so far. But it's not a blow you away amazing.
I mean, I saw some goofy like oh, Jeremiah Love
top five. I love running backs, but come on, guys,

it's a little silly. Also, this week college football playoff games.
Oh man, I'm fired up. I was a little pissed
that there weren't any college football playoff games over the weekend.
They had you know, whatever bulls there were. I don't know,
I didn't really watch those, and it was just like,

we're the real games. So the games this week we
get Wednesday night. I think Wednesday night is Ohio State. Jeez, yeah, yeah,
four point thirty on New Year's Eve Miami, Ohio State
from Arlington, Texas. It's gonna be tough a if you're

a Miami student partying at Miami, Trump's partying in Arlington, Texas,
or going to the game. Right, I've been to Miami
for New Year's even once or twice. It's unbelievable. Okay,
if you're an Ohio State fan, you won the title
last year, you're favorite again. How many of these games
can you afford to go to? These are only the

quarter finals. There's still the semi finals and finals. Do
you go to all three? Or do you just pick
one like I don't. It'll be really I don't know
who will have the crowdedge here. I'm stunned as dipped
under ten. Yeah, I'm not giving away picks this early,
So that's Wednesday Thursday, you get Oregon Texas Tech at

nine am. Holy hell. So that's uh, that could be
a body clock game for Oregon. Just kidding. They'll probably
arrive early Alabama, Indiana, and then the nightcap is Old
Miss Georgia. Hmm. Interesting. All right, we'll quickly wrap up
with just NBA so interesting. Kawhi Leonard went for a

career high I did not know this was a career
high fifty five. And the pesky Clippers, who are clearly
not they can't tank because they don't have their pick.
They're starting to fight. They beat the Lakers. I think
they beat the Nuggets. Now the Pistons impressive Warriors will
just continue to be down bad Steph Curry scoring thirty nine,
and they're losing to the freakin Raptors, who were actually decent.

That's that's impressive. But the real reason I brought up
the NBA real quick is oh wait, have we not
talked about Spurs thunder from Christmas Day? Ah? We did
it on the Herd. I forgot, oh man, you know

and the Spurs have beat them three times and have
an answer for everything they do and they are a
great matchup. How are the how's the thunder number one? Anyways,
let's quickly go to Lakers. So I've been waiting to
see who JJ Reddick had called out after he blasted

the team following the Christmas Day beatdown against the Rockets.
So they have this big Saturday practice. He said it's
gonna be tough, but then he kind of not backtracked.
But when he said it's gonna be it's gonna be brutal,
I feel like what he was saying was Saturday, they're
gonna watch film and call people out that That's what

it sounded like he was saying. He wasn't being light.
It wasn't gonna be like he's making them run lines
or any nonsense like that. Anyways, they did look a

seven and five. Okay. The big story, though, is Nick Smith. Now,

if the faithful podcast listeners will remember, in October they
had some injuries. There was no Lebron I think Luca
had missed a game, and it was like Austin Reeves
against the world, and they worked Nick Smith in. I
was like, wait a minute, is this the same Nick
Smith got He was the number one high school basketball
player in the country like four years ago, five years ago,

and then he had I think a couple of knee
injuries and he didn't totally dominate in his one year
at Arkansas. Last year and Nick Smith injected into the
offense twenty one year old who was drafted in twenty
twenty three by Charlotte. They gave up on him. Twenty

Jets fans are like, if we can't get them in

for my Jets. Force fed a bunch of bad football Sunday. Yeah,
the Eagles Bills gave us like six fun minutes at
the end. We'll talk about that in a little bit,
but I gotta start with the thriller on Sunday night football. So,
as you guys know, I take a lot of heat
on the Herd for having the Jets as my team.
They stink. A couple of times I've been like, you
know what, I'm done with the Jets. I need to
find a new team. And because I'm such a brock

you know, I love a good underdog. I consider myself
an underdog. A couple of forty nine Ers fans have said, dude,
you should just back the Niners, and I'm like, well,

and Rams play the Niners. But the forty nine Ers

are really easy to root for. I love Deebo Samuel
when he was on the forty nine Ers, so I've
kind of adopted them as like my team. And the
first bet I made this past week was a little
bigger than normal on the Niners. I was like, come on,
Niners got it minus three and I had him in
the contest. I had him in the weekly Pick them
bele surgeon that you don't really care about. I'm up

the third with a chance to win it outright, there
would be a nice haul for your boy. And I
wrote about it on the site and by the way

I can't remember a game. Maybe the Super Bowl Eagles Chiefs.

It might have been the Super Bowl Niners Chiefs. I

we have a hugely meaningful game, Seahawks at Niners on Saturday.

they played on Monday night football at the Colts, then

the divisi. So that's three games in thirteen days. Not

are probably gonna be out, so well, it's a short

thirteen days. Okay, so let's be real. Seattle, by the way,
is lucky to be in this position anyway. Okay, what
was it ten days ago that the Rams were up

the Rams win, that they get the number one seed.
Seattle gets a putt return, and then a bunch of wacky,

wacky stuff happens. And it was a great win. It
was extremely fortunate, and they were lucky to be down
sixteen with eight minutes left to come back and win.
Let's be real. Craziest two point conversion possibly in the
history of the NFL. And that's not even hyperbole. I
mean it was. It was a pass off a helmet
that everybody thought was incomplete, and I picked it up
at the end zone and it was ruled to conversion. Okay,

I'm not going overboard, so I don't want to hear
it Seahawks fans, the game should be great. I haven't
decided if I'm gonna be on the Niners. I'm recording
this right after the game, so I've got to flow
the energy. I'm just feeling it as I watched the
Lakers put the finishing touches on a win over the
Sacramento Kings, and so I will quickly. I just want
to dive into this game. Yes, I do like the
Niners a lot. Obviously, there is massive concern for that

horrific defense. I mean, they're not good guys. We know
that the Chicago Bears up and down the field. The
game was, as they said on the broadcast, it was
tied at seven to seven, fourteen, seven, fourteen, fourteen, twenty one,
twenty one, twenty eight, twenty eight, thirty five, thirty five.
First time that's ever happened. Anyways, I thought the big
story was Brock Perty and how incredible he was three

hundred three yards passing three touties, rushed for two more touchdowns.
I mean, Perty is on such a heater. Since the bye,
the Niners offense has twenty six drives, fifteen touchdowns, and
two punts. I mean that's ridiculous. Like we saw. I'm
just telling you, I watched a lot of bad football Sunday.
At one point, no, Lie, I'm watching it. I'm like, hey,

let's let's check out this new Jurassic Park with Scarlett
Joe Anson that's on Apple TV. I'll watch a game
on my phone. The games are just not fun. So
we actually did that. In the movie I thought was good,
you know, typical dinosaur fair but I really liked it,
and you know it was good. I mean, it wasn't
like you've got to go see this. It was just like,
that's a pretty good action movie that had some drama,

some gory death's storyline. Whatever. Anyway, so we get gifted
this great rock party game. And as soon as he
hit Juwan Jennings over the middle for that long Tuddy,
I was like, oh they score too soon. Bears come
all the way down the field. I know some people
are gonna quibble with the hook and ladder since they
had no timeouts left. Listen, that call has been money
for almost anybody who's run it. I saw the Bills

run it against the Eagles late in the fourth quarter.
That was pivotal. It works for almost everyone. The Lions
had really brought it to the forefront, and this worked
except for Lenore, the awesome cornerback who basically the bear
said we're not We're not throwing at him. DJ Moore
was essentially out there running cardio. He had in an
amazing game where Caleb Williams threw the ball forty two times.

Djmore had four targets, he had one catch. I mean,
Leonore's an awesome cornerback. He sat in his position after
the catch by Loveland, and so he was there to
make the tackle on Swift who was coming at him
like a frickin' tank. And Leonora made a great tackle.
And then they're scrambling because they had no timeouts, leaving
one play. So here's the awesomeness about this final play.

The truth and we all know this is Robert sala
is an excellent defensive cordator. He is doing magic with
a ton of guys who probably have no business starting
in the NFL. They can't generate any pressure if they
don't blitz. They had zero sacks. I'm trying to see
how many quarterback hits they had. It felt like there
weren't many. What is that three quarterback hits when I

got drafted back forty two times? That's not good, guys,
not good at all. But on the final play, how
about this from Robert sala He sets up like it's
an almost empty blitz. He had the safety back in
the middle of the end zone. Everybody else of the
line of scrimmage, and Caleb's diagnosing that, thinking oh, it's
gonna be a blitz. He rush. Robert Sala rushes to

and drops everyone else. Defensive lineman drop instantly. You can
see Caleb be like, what the hell? You can see
that in his eyes as he's dropping back. And when
you are totally confused like that you don't sit in
the pocket. He rolls out and at that point, you
know Caleb's dangerous was his legs. But everybody drops, so
Caleb knew he wasn't gonna score. And you see I
think it was ninety one, a defensive tackle who had

been in the middle of the end zone just you know,
there to confuse the quarterback on all. You know, Ben
Jonson loves the mesh routes and all that stuff. You
can't throw a mesh route when there's like six guys
in the middle of the end zone. Ninety one decides
to screw it. I'm going after Caleb, and he rushes
Caleb and forces to throw off his back foot into
the middle of the end zone and incomplete. It was

just an awesome genius play for Robert Sala. And I
know people are gonna say, oh, come on, Sala can't
be that good.

that's a touchdown if he catches it. You know, Caleb's
had a few of those, bro, He's a second year
quarterback on the road in a high intensity game Sunday
night football. I mean, he's worked magic all season and
I'm like, I just, yes, he missed a couple throws.
You're gonna kill the guy. Hi. He did, had no
turnovers for Caleb like, I mean, he played a really

good game. Burden had a drop, but it didn't matter.
It really came down to the final play. Sala with
a genius, absolutely genius, defensive play call that is going
to rattle ninety nine percent of quarterbacks just because you
know time and situation only go rushing too. You don't
know where the where everyone else is. And they had
a spy at the line of scrimmage, like just messing

around with the defensive tackle. It was a bizarre call,
but it was spectacular from Robert Sala.

I mean it's tough on the numbers. I'm not going

to you now. Okay. So last year, three quarterbacks were
starting in the playoffs for the first time. In the
first round Bo Nicks, they scored early, did not cover,
lost Jaden Daniels one against Tampa. They were plus three
and Sam Darnold was a small favorite and they lost

and got smashed Vikings against the Rams. So if you
go back quarterbacks making their first start, facing a quarterback
with playoff experience, the first time starters are twenty thirty
nine and one against the spread, that is abysmal. That
is terrible. That is an almost auto bet against. And

this year we're looking at three, two or three Drake May,
Caleb Williams, and possibly Bryce Young if they beat Tampa
and get in the playoffs. I definitely now here's what
the matchups would be. If the forty nine Ers beat Seattle,
and again I think they will, so I'm just looking
at that angle. Niners one get the buy Packers at Bears.

I would take the Bears there. I know it's Lafleur,
it's Caleb. I would lean Bears there only because I
just don't know what's going on with Jordan Love and
the concussion. Yes, the Packers basically beat them twice. I
know they ended up blowing the sixteen to six lead
with two minutes left a couple of weeks ago. That
was maliquillis for what it's worth. But they will have
now had several weeks by the time this game rolls

around without Micah Parsons to adjust the defense, and they
got absolutely roasted by Snowpuntley and quarterbacks are running clearly
as you saw Huntley against the Bears. I would lean
Caleb going in the face of yes, and now if
that's if it's Packers, I think that's that would probably be.

I would probably go Bears. The other matchup would be
Seattle at Philly. I mean, you guys have seen the
Eagles defense there's no way I'm taking Sam Donald in Philadelphia, No,
no shot. Now, the Seahawks defense look really good, ravenous
if you will against the Panthers. But no, I'm not
betting Sam Donald on the road. And the other matchup
in the NS he would be Rams at Bucks, and

I would lay. I'm guessing Rams will be six and
a half, six and a half seven. I don't see
how you can if you do want a teaser and
you think, hey, let me let me punch up the
Packers plus. I don't know they'll be on the road.
I don't know, Packers plus eight and a half maybe,

and then to Rams just to win the game, something
like that. I would tinker with the teaser on that front. Man,
I love me some Brock Party. I don't. Ultimately, I
don't think the Niners can win the Super Bowl with
that defense. I would be stunned. That being said, all
they need is to wins and getting the bye would
be massive. They just got to beat Seattle. If they
don't beat Seattle, forget about it. I mean, I don't.

They're definitely not going to Philadelphia and winning that game,
not with this defense. All right, So the only other
good games Sunday was Eagles Bills, and you guys know,
obviously if you're on the site, I rode up Eagles.
They get the win and cover barely surviving. Unbelievable stat
Philly had seventeen yards in the second half. Jalen Hurts

now has two wins this season, two where he doesn't
have a completed pass in the second half. I don't
know how that humanly possible. I can't stand the Eagles
offensive coordinator. They just totally take their foot off the gas.
And maybe this is Sirianni, and you know what, the
maybe the only way to fix this is the Eagles
lose their first playoff game and then they fire Sirianni
and the OC and finally get a real coach because

it is just cool. It's unwatchable. I don't know what
they're thinking. And I mean the Eagles defense looked as
good as it has and I mean, Jalen Carter coming
back is just so massive. They had five sacks of

on zero points until there was like seven minutes left

in the game, the Buffalo Bills could do nothing. Now,
it was raining. I get that, but you know, when
you're leading receiver is Brandon Cooks. By the way, show
of hands of people who knew that the Brandon Cooks
was even on the Bills. I did not know that. Okay,

like he got to Buffalo around November thirtieth or November
twentieth or whatever. First game was November thirtieth. So Brandon
Cooks had one catch in the first game with the Eagles,

seven and five. Okay. The big story, though, is Nick Smith. Now,

had some injuries. There was no Lebron I think Luca
had missed a game, and it was like Austin Reeves
against the world, and they worked Nick Smith in. I
was like, wait a minute, is this the same Nick
Smith got He was the number one high school basketball
player in the country like four years ago, five years ago,

and then he had I think a couple of knee
injuries and he didn't totally dominate in his one year
at Arkansas. Last year and Nick Smith injected into the
offense twenty one year old who was drafted in twenty
twenty three by Charlotte. They gave up on him. Twenty

four minutes, he had twenty one points and hit five threes.
He tries really, really hard defensively. He's a bucket. He's
a creator. And if you want to know whose minutes
got shot, Marcus Smart played twenty minutes shot one time
and did not score. They want Jake Laavia van do

Dalton connect looks like he might be out of the rotation,
which I guess is fine whatever, But it looks like
Nick Smith is going to be a pivotal bucket getter
off the bench and if you watch, like I mean,
I don't want to sound goofy, but the thunder have
like five nick Smiths and they're all like probably better
and maybe more experienced. The Spurs have like three nick Smiths.

I mean, the Spurs go to their bench and they
have Keldon Johnson who was on the Olympic team. I
think in like twenty twenty two, it's like Lakers go
to their bench. They got Jake Laavia, Jared vander Pill
so they got to find something. JJ beet Reddick continues
to push the right buttons. Nice win over the Kings,

Tonight Rams and who the oh Falcons? So I took
the Falcons in the contest, getting eight and a half.
It felt like the dogs were gonna bark this weekend,
and they did. I don't have Here's the thing. I
took them in the contest, but I didn't bet it
because I'm a woos and I'm like, why am I
really gonna put after tax dollars on the Rams? So

what I did was, and this is I do not
advocate stuff like this. I did one of these dumb
parlays where I just picked teams I think I are
gonna win. So I picked the Bengals, Seahawks, Saints, Browns, Dolphins.
So that's right there, two upsets, Browns of Dolphins. Pick
those Jags, Eagles, Niners. What a sweat? And then I

picked Rams tonight, So nineteen parlay? Can the Rams deliver
it for me? Now? I listen, anytime I get close
in these they always blow up in my face. So
I'm not gonna get too excited. But I would not
be surprised if the Falcons were extremely plucky. Drake London
is going to play Ram, you know, kind of sort
of don't have much to play for because they cannot

get the number one seed, and I don't I don't
know how serious McVey is gonna take this. My hope
is Rams get the win and nobody gets injured. All right,
