Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Our number two they do. This is the Hiccups edition
of The Odd Couple. I think I got the hiccups.
What're we eating today? I seen your post something a
little shrimp salad down five six seven pounds already.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Yes, seven pounds. You might make it, man, you just might.
I'm gonna make it and bottle and I'm not. And
I mean this respectfully. And at your age. If you
lose fifty pods that no, that sounded crazy, but trust me,
I get the same thing some twenty year old. I mean,
and doing that at your age.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Hold on, now, hold on.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
But I'm saying that's that's dude, that's that'd be amazing.
If you pull this off. You pull this off. Even
if you don't, you do forty that's incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
No, no, there's no doubt, about it.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
But you know I'm gonna lose some weight here, all right,
don't forget to check out our brand new YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Just search.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Odd couple Let me get I'm ready, Rob fst Off,
tap me in, do a little the shrimp coming up
them scripts, them scripts rods.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
And he was asking them about the counter coming up
count his scripts. Odd couplets are on YouTube.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Oh you ain't done here, nothing spin coming back here?
Coming another one right here, Alex ready still come to squim.
I can't that's here, come another one right here, right
because odd couple fs are.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
And make sure just search on couple fs are and subscribe.
How about that. Don't put more scripts on it. That's it.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Rob g to Kansas City, I should say to Kansas Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, that's a good point because they're moving to Kansas
pretty soon. But anyway, the Chiefs are making some moves.
They're trying to get back in this thing after not
nt making the playoffs last year.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Yeah, it was a been a tale of two cities.
I guess if you want to talk about Kansasity Chiefs
the last couple of days. First we mentioned last week
big blockbuster trade. They trade away all pro Trent McDuffie
to the Rams, so he's gone out of there. They
lose another cornerback also to the Rams, so they're down
two defensive starters or at least rotational players within the
first forty eight hours of the re agency period. However,

(02:49):
today they pivot offensively. They bring in Super Bowl MVP
Kenneth Walker the third to be their new running back,
one big upgrade over that dynamic Jewel Isaiah. But Checko
and Kareem Hunt, so they're very excited about that one.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Well, but Checko kind of faded out.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Oh yeah, I mean they had This is not opinion,
This is fact arguably the worst running back room in
football last sears yep. Like, just in terms of all
the numbers, the two guys combined for one carry over
twenty yards.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
That's almost up there with Aaron Glenn's. How we didn't
get one interception? Yeah, like that's the second worst start
of the NFL. I agree, because that's that's the worst.
That like, like to not get.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Rob g a chip ball that that should lends into
your arms.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
And former dB turn defensive coach coordinator to a head coach,
head coach.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
We can't get one coach you couldn't scheme up.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Something that were he's gonna throw a left to the
bubble screen and be already there and get it like something.
God goodness, just real quick.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Also on the Chiefs backfield, but check O Hunt and
Art Smith, their top of running backs, combined to force
forty nine miss tackles Almongst the three.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Of them the whole season.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Yeah you got Gibbs did that about twenty five in
one game.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, I did that in one drive. So they go
out and get them. So so they got a new
running back.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker split carries last year, but
he was healthy, which is a big thing, and he
produced that a high clip. The other thing they did,
which was a shocker six months ago, not so much.
Six days ago. Travis Kelce, who wanted to retire after
the Super Bowl two years ago, had sided he's gonna
run it back again. Last year wasn't enough. They went

(04:31):
six and eleven. He felt terrible about it. This year,
he says, I can't go out like that one year.
Twelve million dollars could be up to fifteen min its
incentives the Chiefs running it back with Travis Kelce and
a new running back.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
I like him. I like the running back. I don't
like running it back. And what I mean is Kenneth
Walker was a great signing. It's a great signing for them.
You just mentioned it. Rob g will of course split
some of those. The Tips still rush for one thousand
yards last season, giving you four point six yards a carry.

(05:05):
Co obviously Fushtown five touchdowns as well. So to me,
I like the pickup because one of the things we
talked about last year, what was that the Chiefs got
it back going offensively. They had a nice stretch where
they were producing, but they couldn't close out games. I
think getting Kenneth Walker, and we saw it in the
Super Bowl, ability to run, you know, run out the
clock at times, the ability to pick up those short

(05:25):
yard at first downs, I think that's a great signing.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I don't like running it back with Travis Kelsey.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Just because you got Airic b Enemy back doesn't mean
you need to fully run it back. Just because you
do that doesn't mean gangs all here, let's do it again.
And the reason I say that I don't like the
amount of money is gonna potentially called them twelve million,
fourteen million dollars somewhere in there for Kelsey, that's money
could have been used elsewhere. You lost two cornerbacks. McDuffie

(05:51):
being an all pro of being a pro bowler, and
you lose the two cornerbacks, you lost your offensive line
and struggled at times.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
To me, that's money I could have spent.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Because the productivity you get from Travis Kelce, I feel
like I could emulate elsewhere. I could get a young
tight end to give me that. I could get a
free agent tight end to give me that. I could
draft someone who can give me that. So to me,
that's money that could have been spent elsewhere. So the
idea just simply because we got Eric Banemy back, we
got a couple of guys back, and maybe you know
who knows what some other moves that they'll make, and

(06:21):
obviously free agency and draft. I don't believe that that
was money well spent. To me, I think it's okay
to have moved on said we had a great career,
you're headed to the Hall of Fame first ballot. We
want to use this twelve to fourteen million dollars elsewhere.
So to me, love Kennis Walker signing. I think that's
what they need the ability to not just rely on
Patrick Mahomes, the ability to run the ball, run out

(06:41):
the clock, help your defense. Some help that out of
the passing game some, but Travis Kelce, you didn't have
to do it. The running back, I'm with the running
it back, I'm not with. Yeah, I'm with you on
Travis Kelce.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
You question.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Why, you know at some point, know we always talk
about it. He'd rather be a year earlier than a
year late. I think that's what I'm saying, Like it's
two years late now with Travis Kelce, and then last year,
I think while he bounced back numbers wise, if you're
really honest and look at it, you say to yourself, yeah,

(07:19):
he had a better year, but you were six and eleven,
like like you were bad. Like he was the best
receiver on a really bad team. So what did he
really add to the team? Not like, seriously, he was
bad because the other guys weren't weren't really that good,
and so he got a lot of stuff, but it
didn't accumulate into winning football. Now, Walker, you just wonder

(07:42):
you just won a Super Bowl with him, super Bowl MVP,
and Seattle's not interested in him, like Rob g this's
got to be scuttle, but too when you look deeper
at Walker and what he was able to do. And
I understand they needed to get a running back they
needed to improve, but I think Walker not robb g
a good block or there's some other question marks about him.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Yeah, it's interesting fit with him in Kansas City. Now,
part of it could just be that we mentioned they
had a very poor running back room last season.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
And they needed to do something.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
So last season, the Chiefs had the eighth fewest attempts
by any team in the NFL in terms of running
the football.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
So you bringing Ken Walker.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
He's a great runner of the football, But what that
does mean is that they throw the ball at a
high clip or they're in a pass formation at a
very high clip relative to the rest of the NFL.
The problem with ken Walker is in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
He can't catch. He can't catch, and he's not great
in pass protection. This is what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
That's why Shzach Sharboney ate into so much of his
his playing time there in Seattle. They thought ken Walker
great as a runner. The other stuff Sharbona is better.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
And this is why I think Eric bienneby being a
running back coach being an offensive guy. I think this
is huge for them because I think he looks at
him and says, hey, trust me, that's the kind of
guy I can work with. That's the kind of guy
can get some productivity with. Aust Don't worry about the hands.
We're not asking him to be Marshall Falk, but I
can figure out some things and again and giving us
an opportunity to not have to pass so much. I

(09:06):
think they would love to be able to run. I
think they would love to look at something. Ay this game,
we can have twenty five attempts. They're not able to
do that, Robbie, and sometimes that hurts them where they
they you have to you get off the ball in
a minute, right, and now you're giving another team the
ball bag. They want to chew up some clock. They
want to run the clock down a little bit, be
a little bit bruiser hot off. We talked offensive lineman
all the time, eat from Salam and others. We want

(09:26):
to get up and go forward first. We don't have
to always be retreating backwards pass blocking. So to me,
that's where it can become beneficial is helping the team
out as a whole. Having the ability to run defensively again,
keeping your defense off the field, letting them catch their breath.
Losing two good cornerbacks one very good cornerback as well.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Now you wonder where the defense is gonna be.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
You know they're gonna they still gonna have to spend
some money and h and also either some late movements
and some draft picks because they're they're gonna need some
help defensively. Defensively is what kept them in games of
the last two to time.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I just I look at it and the moves that
ma if anybody thinks like, oh yeah, the band's back together,
they're going to definitely be back. You know, I'm not
convinced of that. And I know it's early and there's
gonna be other moves and there's draft picks that are
coming as well, So they're not done. I'm not trying
to say that I know where they're going to wind up,
but early on losing a couple of dbs right and

(10:21):
one very good one. Yeah, and the moves that they've made,
I'm definitely not there yet.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
I'm just not.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
I think the offense will be better, I think, especially
with being me and to his credit, by the way.
As much as we talk about Andy Reid, Eric the
enemy can say, hey, all I know is since I've
been gone, y'all be and I height y'all and I height.
When I was here, we were exceptional offensively.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You know.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Now last year they got better. They had a nice stretch,
but they weren't great. And I think that to me,
if you're at the enemy, that's one thing you can,
you know, you can hold in your back pocket and say, Louis,
when I was here, all I know is we were
very explosive.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I left for a few seasons, y'all.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
You know, y'all were med and but I do like
him coming back helping them get back to what they
used to. And look, Travis Kelce, if you just look,
if you if you went away for a few months
at the end during the NFL season, came back, you say,
what this guy was productive? If you just covered up
the name and I showed you fifty five sixty catches,
you know, six hundred and fifty seven hundre yards.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Five touchdowns like that was that was solid.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
But if I showed you the age who he is,
I would you would better? To me, you'd be saying
I'd rather that be the first year or two of
a younger guy whose trajectory is going up, like, oh,
he's only getting better.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
We're moving in the right direction. He's finding you know.
And in this case too, I just don't think he's
the same player.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Man.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
He's missing blocks, he's not making catches.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
He normally saw plays where the routes are normally they
would have a perfectly aligned he in. Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
We saw him standing standing around counting attendance on plays
like like, like, how does that happen?

Speaker 4 (11:51):
He's off, he's off his game, and it showed a
time running into players. Now, like I said, not blocking great.
He admitted it, and so to me, I think this
is the case where they're like, man, we got our
guy back, and being to me, he knows all of us,
he knows what we do less running back one more time,
and I just look at it as it's not a
bad signing and that he's going to be terrible.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
I don't believe that.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
It's just more so I'd rather be building up rapport
with Patrick Mahomes and some new tight end or two,
or drafting a young winning building rapport for the years
in the future than the running back and using that
money with Travis when I could have spent that elsewhere.

Speaker 1 (12:24):

chiefs making some moves. We both agree, Kenneth Walker to
the third, Hey good Son, get some running They've been
having running back issues for a while, bringing that Kelsey.
Since I've been on this show, feel like we keep

(15:37):
having the same conversation retired and not retire come back.
We both think it's time for to move on they say, hey,
we're bringing him back. Good move back move eight seven
seven ninety nine on Fox. All right, let's go Andre
in Massachusetts. You're on the odd couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
What's up, Dre? How are you doing?

Speaker 8 (15:54):
All right?

Speaker 9 (15:55):
Thank thanks so much for taking a call.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Listen.

Speaker 9 (15:57):
I can't say this Kansas City Chiefs team is better
than year's past because they've added some nice free agents.
Maybe on paper, maybe in Madden twenty seven they're going
to be a better team. But this team is reloading. Okay,
they're not refiring. This is a transitional year in their
dynastic era as they try to move forward to see

(16:18):
if they can still be competitive still and still win championships.
Their division is not getting any easier, and now Patrick
Mahomes is coming back from an injury. These are the
central thing that the Chiefs are facing and we need
to see. I can't put them on the same pedestal
when Patrick Mahomes was out here winning MVP, throwing five
six seven touchdowns in a game. It's a completely different thing.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
It SNDS like one time, doesn't it, Andre, Since that
was happening, it just does right.

Speaker 9 (16:42):
And so this is the time now when you talk
about mahomes. They want people want to put him in
that all time conversation. Let's remember it was a decade
in between championships for Tom Brady, and so he's going
to have to climb back up that mountain in my view,
to see if he can get to the top of
that's the true measure. It's the endurance and the longevity.
I think that's the phase of his career. They're no
longer the world better favorite. He's got to now be

(17:04):
the underdog to win those champions.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
He's gonna have to find a way.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
And this is to be some of those teams that
you know had nice long run that today they had
to get better, they had to fight through some adversity.
So this is what he'll in physical adversity too, coming
off the injury for him. Thank you from the Commonwealth,
no doubt.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Leo in New York City, New York City. Yeah, Leo,
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
What's up, buddy, Kevin?

Speaker 7 (17:29):
Really not to have you back, my brother?

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Thank you?

Speaker 7 (17:31):
I got yeah, yeah, I know. I gotta say, rab
I don't know how you do it. And you lost
seven pounds last week with all the copstick. But Keith
mccuson gave you, i'm a lot of words.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
What did you say, Leo? All the cupcakes I had
last year?

Speaker 7 (17:48):
I guess yes, yes, yes, all the cups. Keith mccuson
was a huge for you.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Oh that's Leo, was it? You're right? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Right?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
And you and you call him more in the cupcake two?

Speaker 7 (18:04):
No, Marting is my guy. But you know last week
was last week was tough, you know, I mean, no less,
it's hard, but that wasn't it anyhow?

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Wow, you're therving them up. That's what you're doing right way?
Would Rob do you give you this script? Process?

Speaker 3 (18:23):
It is?

Speaker 7 (18:24):
It's the truth, Rob, is the truth. Anyways when it
comes to the chief anyway, Resigning Kelsey, it's a decent move.
I mean, you guys want you guys want them to
like get the new tied end. Guess who's not going
to be a training can the quarterback. So it's gonna
be hard to build Rapaul with the new free agent

(18:45):
that they will bring in. That's why they bring someone
They always that already noticed, system already knows the quarterback
and they just sit in your Seaty, this is my
mom comes.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Back like, so so under Leo, under your logic, they
can't bring in any rookies the who I'm never play
with Patrick Malls.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Come on, man and plus and plus Leo.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
By the way, Leo, he they who have like a
decade of experience together didn't look great together more passes,
but they had. I've been telling Rob and you know,
I had picked the Chiefs to do pretty well. But
I would tell you early on, man, they're off. They're
making weird plays, not even not drastic plays I show
up in the stats.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
He's just like, why wouldn't the Cats that you.

Speaker 7 (19:23):
Will be better free, it will be better.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Come on, guys, wait, wait, so we never seen rookies
that play well?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
I know, come on, Leo, that's all right, right, but
I'm just saying, were.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Just a young guy. They already have they already had
a couple of time.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Leo. You know what I'm gonna say to you is
Keith McPherson was better than you today.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Okay, how about that? Come on, shout out to Leo,
you man.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Thank you all good. Let's go to Andrew in Chicago.
That's what you're the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's
up Andrew?

Speaker 8 (19:55):
You know major Sox fan over here, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
No doubt. We saw each other at the ballpark in Chicago,
my man.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yes, sir, yes, sir.

Speaker 8 (20:04):
First, I want to say, what are they going to
do with those hoodies for Magic City money?

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Send those to.

Speaker 8 (20:12):
Africa or like the little kid that hated That's right,
that is funny.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Do you know what that's like when I send the uh,
when I send the new England Patriots super Bowl champs
shirts and the hoodies that they made ahead of time, right, well,
then you picked the team, but they lost this past year.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
They lost?

Speaker 9 (20:30):
All right, go ahead exactly.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
No, I was gonna say, this seems like putting makeup
on a pig, Like you're just trying to make the
fans happy, like everybody else has been saying, like on paper,
looks nice on Madden, Yeah, but like you're kind of
not doing anything. You're kind of just like, well, let's see,
uh when Mahomes gets back, if he's healthy, we can
make a run. And just I feel like the Travis
Kelcey movies just to get the fans like more attention

(20:55):
to the team, like happy as well as like oh
him and his him and his future wifey him and
Taylor Swift. They're gonna bring more people to the field,
so if we let him go then we'll lose money.
Plus we're not in a rebuild. We're kind of just
in purgatory.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
I just think it's that I don't think appreciate the
call Rob. I don't think it's going to Andrew that.
I think it's just Eric b Enemy. They all got
on a call or zoom or FaceTime. Yeah, maybe we're back,
and they like, well, we gonna remember we used to
do it. Remember play x Y Turbo X one right,
like that, we're gonna do all that. And I think
it's more that I think they believe.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Oh yeah, coach, that did work when I had two
legs exactly.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
And I think they're like, man, it's some more juice
in there in the tank. I'm telling you we can
do this again. That's to me more than even the fans,
more than Taylor Swift. I believe they believe we all
get together, watch what we're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
That's what That's what I'm thinking, all right.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
If somebody speaking of thinking he might have a little
too much juice is still in the tank, we'll tell you.
I think he's overstepping his bunders a little bit. Tell
you that in a moment right now, Steve the Sager,
getting your set on what's trending, Hey, Steve.

We're all about getting money, but Daggin is somebody who
might be overstepping it a little bit in Indianapolis.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
I can't quite put my finger on why he feels
that way, But there's big movies and shakings in Indianapolis.
First off, get the housekeeping out of the way. That's
more referencing to Rob Parker's mean to set the table.
In case you guys missed it.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Number one, what was that? Number one? That is racist?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Alec Piers number one, number one, their new number one
wide receiver gets a four year, one hundred and sixteen
million dollar deal. Wasn't an extension technically, it was a
free agent move. So he is now the highest paid
receiver in NFL free agent history because all the other
guys before that were extensions.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Forty one catches. That's right.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Shout out to Alec Pierce getting all the money there, dude,
that's as I'm saying. Byproduct of that, their previous number
one ride receiver, Michael Pittman Junior, was traded to Pittsburgh
because it helps them not only open up receptions for peers,
but number two, it opens up twenty four million dollars
in cap space so they could pay him.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
All of which leads to one thing that what are
they going to do a quarterback?

Speaker 5 (23:48):
And according to Albert Breer Sports Illustrated, they like to
bring back Daniel Jones. In fact, the Colts offered him
a deal ranging between thirty and thirty five million dollars
this season. Of course, Dan Jones coming off of torn achilles.
Dan Jones said no, hell no. According to Albert Beer,

(24:10):
his cap wants fifty million dollars a season to be
the Colts QB one moving forward.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Dude, I don't know if he thought he was Quincy Jones,
Indiana Jones, Roy Jones Junior, Mike Jones, Tom Jones settled down,
Daniel Jones listen or Barnaby Jones. Barnaby Jones. He's about
to be somewhere else, is how I feel if I'm
the coach.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
He played well in the first seven, eight games, ten games,
then all of a sudden we started to see the
real one.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Did he forget? We saw where he had a few.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
Games where you're like, all right on, you know, turnovers,
a bunch of turnovers if he's not looking great.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
And the injury saved him.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
That did save him, but he was playing poorly. He
probably would have had a bad finish to the same
injury saved them.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Because you'll goal, well, what was was it the last
few games that we saw or he didn't look good
or is it the first seven eight where he looked
really good. Was an MVP obviously early candidate, so to me,
settled down. You just got kicked off a couple of teams.
But prior to this, right, the Giants let you go,
The Vikings let you go, and they had a chance

(25:18):
to bring you in if they thought you were better
than JJ and they so now you started off good.
We talked about it for a few weeks. Is it
them or is it the schedule? Remember I wasn't buying
weren't you weren't buying them. My thing was they're beating
Obviously you can't help the schedule. And I thought they
had a really good office they which they did, but
he didn't look great. I don't mind bringing him back.

(25:39):
But fifty million. You remember the movie Rush Hour, I
know you do. Rob g when he said, what do
you think of kidnapped Chelsea Clinton? He's like the ransom
was like, you know, ten million dollars. He's like, y'all
ain't Kidnappedchelsea Clinton, the daughter of the Clintons. Hold on,
Daniel Jones, you're not Peyton Manning.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
You're not in this era. You're not you know.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Joe Burrow and John sh Alon lamar in the gang.
So to me, pump the brakes. They're offering somewhere in
the thirty low thirties. I think that's fair and reasonable.
It's considering we only saw half of you half of
a season plus or minus.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Oh I would tell him to get lost and take
your bum leg with you. I'm dead serious. Are you kidding? No,
I'm not calling how far are we going with this?
I'm just are you kidding? Seriously? Like like you didn't
have that season you started out, like you said, we
could break it down and show you again.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
We'll break it down against the bad teams that they
played when they got fat on their schedule and then
when they started playing better teams.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Come on, Kelvin, you can't deny it. Turn it over.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yes, he was playing Poorley and all that, and then
and then all of a sudden, Rob, do you got
the breakdown?

Speaker 2 (26:49):
It was not a pretty picture. I'm fifty one. Know
where he has the cohones, the.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
Goal, the audacity, Hey man, don't speak, he don't eat
it right. You ask whatever they want, Rob, shout out
to Kawhi Leonard. If they give it to you, that's
their problem. That's why they don't blame Kawhi. All right,
you guys mentioned it first.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
I want.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
The first eight games of the season Indiana Jones seven
and one, thirteen touchdowns, three picks. Was in MVP conversation,
not mine, but but you're in the odds, like Lamar
Mitchell is, like, we got to put up on the board.
He's having too good of a season. He gets nicked
up a little bit, decides to play through it, and
defenses kind of catch up to what they're doing the

(27:32):
rest of the way. One in four, six touchdowns, five picks.
The one win was an overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Losses to the Steelers, the Chiefs, the Jags, and the Texans.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
And how many fumbles though, like you don't have the
fumbles number, I have the fumbles here.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
He lost three fumbles there in that second bad stretch.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
And look at every team you We lost fumbles in five,
six touchdowns, eight turnover.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Every team you name, he lost you down that stretch
was a playoff team SAMs for the Chiefs, and they
were right there, you know, towards the obviously, by my point,
the higher caliber.

Speaker 5 (28:10):
Team and the teams he beat, well, they gotta be
fair though. He beat the Dolphins, beat the breaks off
of them, beat the Broncos by one point, beat the Titans,
lost to the Rams, beat my Raiders by thirty four points,
got there, uh, beat the Cardinals, beat the Chargers, beat
the Titans again.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
So look at that one team, the Chargers, and they
were slumping, you know, with all the offensive line issues
and the Broncos by one.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
But that was it. It was.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
It really was a little smoking mirrors. And I'm not
they were winning, but nobody people were there. You had
to see the whole movie, do you know what I mean?
The beginning was good, but the whole movie you had
to see what Daniel Jones, the idea that he could
ask for fifty something.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
To me, absolutely deserves They steal the money for a
long time.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
He got that Giants money when they gave him the
Moneys to the sa Kwan. I mean they like him
because somebody likes him because they keep giving him money.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
And I can't figure it out because it's Kirk cousin effect.
These career numbers just don't wart it.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Kirk Cousins is isn't he the highest paid quarterback of
all time?

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (29:14):
And obviously you know it changes every two years, but
like I believe Kirk Cousin has made crazy money crazy
and that's Daniel Jones. Gonna look at the end of
his career, We're all gonna be like, wait, how did
Daniel Jones make two hundred and forty million dollars?

Speaker 2 (29:26):
And which is you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Like cause he's gonna get one more deal even after
this one at some point, even if it's not crazy,
if it's just you know, three years fifty sixty million,
But that's being a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
Is there's not sixty four of them.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Right, there's thirty two starting and everybody needs a backup,
and there's not sixty four just walking around on earth.
So guys get money, even backups get crazy money. I
told you we did the money the math on a
guy like Chase Daniels, I maan like forty million dollars
in his career he never even had to do anything.
So yeah, I'm I'm flabbergast said he would ask for
that much. You think they maybe he's asking they want

(30:02):
low thirties, he wants low fifty. They meet him, you know,
at forty, and that's kind of meeting him anywhere.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Are you kidding me. I'm not, are you No, I'm not.
That's steak House at eight. This was a one night stand,
and you know what, it's a done deal. I'm not.
I'm not entering that ever again. That was That's it,
the Daniel Jones one night stand. That's all it was.
I mean, we we needed something that night and we

(30:28):
did what we had to do. But we are not.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Wifey boy said. He walked in. I'm city looking okay.
He was at Denzel, I'm leaving here with something.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Look at Alix saying ha.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Ha ha ha.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Good one.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
That was a good one though. Yeah, Daniel Jones got
to relax.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
And I know his agents obviously Agent teen trying to
get the most, but he definitely has to relax. And
you know what, Rob g Money ain't always everything. Somebody said, hey,
I know you offered me great money. I just want
to go somewhere else. Tell you who we're talking about.
It is the Yacht Couple Robin Kevin on The Magic
City Monday, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Man, we ain't I know, we ain't have to pay
no bills, Stea Cover, Rock Parker, Kevin Washington on the
Magic City Monday. For over forty years, tire rack oh
has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
for what and for where they drive shit fast and
free back by free Road has a protection with convenient
installation options like mobile tire installation, tireck dot com. Rob

(31:35):
you know, it is the way tied buying should be.
Speculation has been with what Mike Evans do. I think
we talked about even before I left last week, where
the conversation was around you know, he gave the stipulations,
I need a quarterback that can do this. I need
a team. Ye here, man, I needed this, and it's like, uh,
first of all, we have just about everything you need. Like, yeah,

(31:55):
it was a down season the second half of them,
injuries in this but they've been competitive. You got a
quarter that's been really good and you have a great
rapport with him, and that's when you got into the
writing was on the wall for him to just come
out and he's been relatively kind of a quiet and
professional guy.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Throughout his career.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
So for him that just Mike Everings to come out
and kind of make that random those stipulations out of
the blue, was like, oh, okay, his agent, you know
he needs this, Mike needs this. That kind of let
me know, okay, this is this is going to end
because you do publicly doing that, especially when your team
relies on you and you're that guy.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
But you've been injured a lot too last couple of years. Hello,
you know that's the whole point.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Like I think they were like, we got uh he
had a great run with sometimes you got to move on.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
But they offered him some some good money though they
offer him they want him around, they said, they said
their statement was he meant so much his organization. Uh,
you know what they've been saying, you know, is that
we want him around what he means to the team,
and and they offered him some good money. That let
me know Rob that this one was actually more of
an indictment on top Bowles and kind of what he

(32:58):
believes about maybe him as a coach or him as
that offense. They've had multiple offensive coordinators in the last
handful of seasons with Baker, and so to me, it
just was very telling that I think he wants to
go to He wanted to go to San Francisco and
link up with Purdy and Kyle Shanahan where he's winning
ten games.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Yeah, but he's won a super Bowl. They haven't won any.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
But that's the point. I think he watched it. But
I'm just saying, like they won a super Bowl, they
he has one. He walking back to that door.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
If the forty nine ers haven't won anything, you could
go and say, oh that this and that, we could go.
Now Shanahan and those guys have been there for a
while now, Like they haven't won a super Bowl. They're
closer to never winning a super Bowl with that group,
Like ass go on, No, the forty nine ers. I'm
just saying, in general, how many years has Shanahan been there?

(33:49):
Right since the since the Falcon maybe since the Falcons
lost to the break to the Patriots, Right he took
the job the next year. Is all I'm saying is
is they're not new him been there like two years
they've been there.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
I think that's the wild So this is this is
my thinking. He's looking at Kyle Shanahan and he's saying,
man with Brock Purty. They go to Super Bowls with them,
They regularly NFC Champions Game without them.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
They've been there.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
They've been there nine years going on ten. All I'm
saying is it's a lot longer than you think. And
they haven't gotten there, is all I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
But if you're Mike Evans, you feel like I can
be that missing piece or at least I have a chance.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
And to me, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
I think it screams he doesn't buy it to Todd
Bowles and what they're doing to me.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
To me, it makes no sense to move on when
you've won a Super Bowl like you won.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
You've been you've been apart.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
And I think the only reason is sometimes when you
get long in the tooth or in that later on
in your career, it becomes a a ego thing where
somebody offers you, they want you a little bit more,
they offer you a little bit more money, and you
feel like, oh, they don't appreciate me. Here was when
Dwayne Wade left and went to the Bulls. Do you

(35:05):
remember that?

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Like that was?

Speaker 1 (35:07):
And then he wound up going back to Miami because
he knew that was an ego thing. He wanted a
certain amount of money from Miami. They wouldn't give it
to him. Oh I'm leaving. I'm going back to my hometown.
I'm play for the.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Bull disaster pay back good because the knees. But that
was a name. I was an absolute disaster. And that's
where people's feelings. Same thing.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Klay Thompson could have stayed and Golden stayed for a
little less money. Oh he comes Dallas, blah blah blah,
and there you go. You wind up making a decision
going somewhere. And that's all. And I look at Mike
Evans in the same vein as as Dwayne Wade and
Klay Thompson. I'm serious. Where you get your feelings hurt,
you deserve Like, how come they're not taking care of me?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
I should? Somebody else wants me more? And that's what
it is.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
I just the forty nine almost ten years of Shanahan.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
But okay, here's my thing. I agree they haven't won.
And if you're the forty nine ers, you say, man, I'm.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Just saying when Shanahan got there, ain't no way if
I would have told you they won a super Bowl
in ten years with him, there you wouldn't you wouldn't
buy that?

Speaker 4 (36:09):
I want to ty Evans is going, hmmm, word, what
team is better?

Speaker 2 (36:15):
What team?

Speaker 4 (36:15):
No matter what happens, somehow they win ten, eleven, twelve
games or at least, and it just seems like they're
always right there in the hunt. And I think that's
what he's doing because rob to what you're saying, the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers in that division NFC South, I mean,
are the Panthers gonna improve or they gonna go backwards
a little bit?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Do we buy into the Falcons? Is two? Are gonna start?

Speaker 9 (36:36):
Like?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
What do you so?

Speaker 4 (36:38):
You would think staying in that division? All you gotta
win is eight nine games. You got a chance to
get in the postseason with the but the Bucks. But
he still wants out, and so to me, I think
it's screaming at Todd Bowles.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Maybe it's what you're saying, that Philly sliding.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
But they say it actually made him a really good
offer and that they really let him know we still
want you here.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
You mean a lot to this organization, But it wasn't
the offer that he got.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
That's all I'm I get it, And I'm not saying
the forty nine Ers are a bad team to go to,
but don't I don't know, Rob G. I'll just ask you.
With the forty nine Ers, aren't you a little surprised?
It's been almost ten years, you know what I mean?
And and they've had teams and they and they've gone
to the super Bowl twice. And I think that people
thought that Shanahan and them would have won a super

(37:21):
Bowl by now.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
Like they're one of those teams, similar to the Pittsburgh Steelers,
like of the NFC is that they're always going to
be in the mix. They're never gotten bad, right, And
I think that if you were a San Francuco forty
nine Ers fan, or just a fan of football, you
would assume when you're knocking on the door that often
you would broke through at least once.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
And they haven't.

Speaker 5 (37:43):
And during that time, the Eagles, who were downtrodden for
what forty years, got too, you know, the Seahawks, I've
got a couple, but you know, I mean, like they
have been long suffering for you know, allegedly for a
long time.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
The Seahawks got a couple, The Rams got one bron
few players going on.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
And you would think that a team like San Francisco,
with their history, with the amount of talent on their roster,
the way that they're discussed, not just in media but
in NFL circles, that they would have broken through one time.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
And that's that's what I'm saying. That's to you, then, though, say.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
We're right there, like because to your point, we keep
being there.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
No, I'm looking at it saying that they're not going
to get there. That that's why when I look at
the forty nine ers that they keep losing players and
things keep going on, and Christian McCaffrey getting older, I'm
looking at it going No, like their window, I know
people know they're closed. No, I think their window after
ten years. I don't think they're ever going.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
To get there.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
I think this is Andy Reid and the Eagles who
never got who never won. They were close and they
kept winning, but they couldn't win the big game.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
I'm saying that's right,

Love Trapped

Former Bachelor Clayton Echard’s casual one-night fling turned into a paternity nightmare. When the news broke about the scandal, no one believed Clayton at first. He was a reality TV star, and an unpopular one at that. Clayton found himself trying to prove the truth, while trapped in a web of lies, manipulation, and threats. He would soon discover he was not the only one. At its core, this is a story about who you believe and why. It’s an epic battle that would take a group of strangers, citizen sleuths from across the world, to crack the case and finally hold someone accountable.
