Following the Celtics’ collapse against the Sixers, Jaylen Brown took to Twitch to voice his frustration — accusing officials of having an agenda against him. The comments sparked immediate conversation about responsibility, optics, and accountability after a tough loss.

Rob Parker says the officiating complaints could be true, but coming out publicly makes it sound like sour grapes — especially after a “live by the three, die by the three” performance. Kelvin Washington argues Brown needs to move on, explaining how Boston’s reliance on three‑point shooting, lack of in‑game adjustments, and predictable offense played a far bigger role in the loss than the referees.

Kelvin and Rob break down why the Celtics failed to adapt, how overreliance on the three hurt them late, and why postgame messaging matters just as much as performance.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Rob g the Boston Celtics Game seven couple issues, but
of course Jalen Brown highlighted.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah, we had a few Game sevens over the weekend
and this one was on Saturday, so we expected this one.
Will we get you later in the show. It's not
a big deal. We're two game sevens removed from that.
But Jalen Brown had to get on Twitch on Sunday
night and made some comments about what went wrong for
Boston during that series, and it got everybody up in roar.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Take a listen, what are y'all talking about. They clearly
had an agenda. They clearly had on a red board.
If Jalen does this move call the offensive foul line
every time, I don't know, it's because I pissed the
refs off. I've been critical about him, and I called
them out a bunch of times. They were like, you
know what I got you in the playoffs watch this,

(00:48):
and that's exactly what they did.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
And we were in the.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Middle of the series. You know, I got time to
say nothing because that's a distraction. I'm trying to focus.
But now that's over. I've been doing that all regular season.
Everybody's been doing all regular season. Gonna car that on
me every time. You don't y'all don't see it like
it's an agenda. It's clearly an agenda. Look at the
same move.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Okay, it could all be true, but it comes out
of sour grapes. When you blow a three to one lead,
and we can talk about the Celtics all we want,
and the same thing comes up. They lived by the three,
they died by the three. Right when they lost to
the Knicks Cup last year, what happened? They missed seventy

(01:28):
five out of one hundred threes, They go up three
to one, they shoot twenty eight percent in the last
three games, and guess what, you get knocked out.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
So you can talk about all you want. It just
sounds bad.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Jalen Brown had a great year, an absolutely great year.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
So let me tell you. So they allowed you to
do whatever you wanted.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
And now do you want to punish you because they
have an agenda against you at somehow And now all
of a sudden, that's the reason you lost.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
How was it that?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Maybe it was Tatum right not being there, which is
a big blow. Nobody's gonna pooh pooh, that'll act like
it's not And then the idea that this team has
lived and died by the three.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
I'm sorry, I can't get with.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
It, man, absolutely Now you took it nicely on them,
To be honest with you, I'm beyond disappointed. And Jalen Brown,
first of all, go to cant coon first, one two three,
can't Coon go take the break, go relax, get your
mind off it because you just rable and Mussini's on
the boat you see, and then they might have been

(02:28):
taking spirit so they might not beat on fights.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Right now, that was that was something for inside the NBA.
Did you see it? They put them on the all
the on the gun fishing joint, they put them on
the boat.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well that show doesn't shy away from it. No, but
that's so anti ESPN though. Remember they not Onna told
them if we're gonna do it, let us do us.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
I was shocked.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Come on, young, now, come on now. But this is
my issue with with Jalen. First of all, you just lost.
You gotta have some grace. You gotta show some love
to the sixers or you don't have to say anything.
You can just go like I said, one two three,
can Coon it, relax, get on the floaty in the
ocean or in the pool. Relax, drink of my tie
or something, and stop talking about it because it only
makes you look bad. Also, here's what I don't like.

(03:13):
What he doesn't take account for is the fact that
this team has won a championship before, and they were
supposed to have the championship pedigree. The sixers are the
ones that we say they're gonna panic, They're gonna freak
out and be can't win a game seven. This is
supposed to be the case, right, He's coming off of
an injury, and yet it was the Celtics who looked
like they'd never been there before.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
You know what they did when.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
They were down one point, rob one point with three
minutes left in the game, they shot seven to eight
more threes, three after three, after three, you're down a
single point, Joe Mozula, you know what you can do.
It's called ajust make an adjustment, switch things up, Get
somebody on the block, have somebody draw file, have somebody

(03:52):
come off a curl like you know Rip Hamilton used
to do, and get an elbow shot. And the fact
of the matter is that the same old thing that
lad they did last year, shoot all these threes and
crunch time with it matter most, no variety, no mixing
it up, and they lost.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
You live by the three, you die by the D three.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
And you know what they say, the definition of insanity right,
doing the same thing over expecting different results. And that's
what they did. They did the exact same thing over.
You can't shoot one and twenty nine threes Rob in
three games and only make thirty six there. I also say,
when you look at the roster there, let's call it up.

(04:28):
Let's call it what it is, Rob sam Houser. You
go with guys like you're playing Garza, you're playing Shiremen,
you're playing.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
None of that.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
I mean, it doesn't matter. Here's what I'm going though.
Their roster is built. You only do that. And that's
the issue I have with the Celtics as a whole.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
But it's work for them, and I'm just saying that's
that's who they are, right and when they're not, when
they're not falling, you're going.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
To Danny robbed the look at the iris ran out. Okay,
And I'm okay with that mix this and I'm glad
I saw I couldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I'm with you, that's not what they do.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
I hear you. Hear you. What you're saying two years
in a row, now that you're saying makes logical sense.
You're down bout do I need threes? Right?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
They don't want They're not hearing you. This is who
we are, this is what we do. If they don't
go down, we gotta live with it. That and they
gotta live with it. So but live with it without
the excuses.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Agree with that and don't and don't make the excuses
of the refs when first of all, Jailen Brown, you
you are a very good playing MVP candidate type season
this year for sure. But the idea that they're just
seeking him out is kind of crazy. The idea that
they're just like singularly going for Jayalen Brown but not
putting any of it on the fact again that they
weren't able to adjust, they weren't able to get easier shots.

(05:47):
They want ever to settle the team down. That's the
stuff I need you look, I need you to look
at your coach. Are we gonna mix it up? Are
we gonna adjust? That's what makes great coaching for them
to go just what is just what we do? Game five?

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Just just what we do? Game this is what we do.
Game seven, It's just what we do.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
I think that's that's a disservice to your team, and
it deserves your fan base, and I understand that's how
you got there. But it's all right to adjust. It's
all right to go on a halftime and mix some
things up. You can't be down one point and jack
up nothing but threes and be like it was the
rest fall?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Are you kidding me right now?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I just can't buy it, and I just it's it's
a shame to be honest.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
I'm glad they're out because I'm glad that style of
basketball has lost two years in a row for them,
because I'm sick of it.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
You saw what the Cavs did. Jared Allen went nuts.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
He had a double double, like fourteen and ten in
the third quarter, dominant down low. Jalen Darren finally showed
up fifteen to fifty download Embeid dominating them inside outside.
I'm glad inside outside presence showed up to remind people,
God forbid you have it, God Forblid, you bang down
load a little bit. God forbid you play tough and
get some some offensive rebounds and put some buckets back up.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
My gosh. So I was glad to see the luck
of the Iris ran out.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
As you like to say, you later, get them Seeds
out of here, Rob, get them Celtics out of here.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
The Sea's pack them up. The SE's got bees, got beat.
The seas was happy to see that. Man.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
I was just because I'm just like what I was
watching the game? Like, what am I watching?

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Like?

Speaker 5 (07:14):
It became comical because you and I talked about it.
This has been their achilles heel for now two three years.
This is what they're gonna do. They want a championship
that way, and they're just gonna keep doing it. It's ridiculous.
