(00:21):
s R. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Go ahead, Jonas,
how you on it? Yes, all right? In fact, you
know what this is? Stead a theme twenty eight seconds.
I'll hold it for twenty eight seconds because that'll be
the first story we hit on. It'll make sense after

(00:43):
we hit on the story being said. Oh yes, man,

(01:17):
what's up buddy? My man? Unbelievable. Well, twenty eight seconds.
We know what tribute to twenty eight who is returning?
Rob Parker and you know what your girlfriend is? Incorrect?
You we're not short winded. I mean we'll not on
this show, not on this show. How many comic cons

(01:37):
he's in there? We talked exactly. It is The Odd Couple,
Fox Sports Radio. Rob Parker and Jonas Knox. Come on, dude,
we do in for Chris Bruzzar and uh yes, we're
coming to you from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on
your car insurance. Will visit Geico dot com for a

(02:00):
free rate quote. And uh, I'm gonna bring everybody in.
We'll tell him the Melvin Gordon news who gave David
Gascon just uh uh talked about and then we're gonna
get into the show one day. Let's do let's do
it so uh, you know, Jonas, we wouldn't be able
to do this fine radio program without the odd couple crew.
Would mean it probably actually smoother, you know what, it

(02:21):
would be cheaper. Yeah, but Lee is our producer, Rob
g still on paternity leave. Uh, Alex. Of course our engineer,
David Gascon is at the anchor desk. He'll keep us
updated throughout the program. Of course Will is our intern.
And of course Elijah is our social media guru, one

(02:41):
of the best in the business. He just did something
for me. Wait till wait till I released this thing.
Oh my god, I'm sure he paid top dollar for it.
You know, I always looking out for guys who do
the best work. Between Vito here and Elijah, I don't
let me tell you something, they're as good as they get.
And of course the big voice, right little gift card

(03:03):
to the nine little dollar tree gift card. You got
them a little bit, a little bit better than that.
You gotta do that. But yes, it is the odd
couple on your worship Wednesday. And if you just turned
on the radio, Melvin Gordon from the Charge has ended
his hold out and won't play this weekend, but we'll
play the following week I guess, and just weird timing.

(03:27):
I don't get it. The Chargers are actually one and
two and have had trouble running the football. Who's the
running back who fumbled at the one yard line against
the Lions, who hasn't played well? And they're one and
two they lost the last two, so this was weird
that this would be. They're not three and old like
we don't need you, they need them. It um, what

(03:51):
was the point? I don't know that that's I mean,
that's that's the thing. And we can knock leavey on
bell all we want. Ye I got guaranteed money. They
got guaranteed money. Got more guaranteed money than what the
Steelers would offer him. And don't believe any of the
crap you hear at of Pittsburgh when they tell you otherwise,
it's not true. He got more guaranteed money. But Levion
Bell was willing to sacrifice for something that he believed in.

(04:11):
He didn't want to be on year two of a
franchise tag and he held serve and said, listen, I'm
not I'm not playing this game with you guys. Zeke
refused to play the game, and the Cowboys came back
with a deal and they got it done. Melvin Gordon
and look, he's not on that level. I'll be either
of those guys. But still, you can't go into a

(04:31):
hold out that ready to run back after week three,
otherwise they know that you're not still committed to it.
I mean, don't tell somebody in the middle of a fight,
I will never speak to you again, because we all
know how that's gonna work. All right. It's breakups are
real easy Thursday through Monday, you know what I mean,
Because on Thursday you go and do it. It's a
thirsty Thursday. Somewhere there's cheap drinks at a bar, and

(04:53):
then you go out and then you're looking forward to Friday.
The Friday night you go out with your friends and
you're chasing tail, and then you go into Saturday, same thing.
Sunday you're doing the same thing. You're day drinking, you're
watching football. Then Monday happens. You're laughing about the weekend.
All of a sudden, Tuesday comes around and there's no
party and there's no club and there's nobody to hang
out with, and that's when you get lonely, and that's
when you start making phone calls. And it feels like

(05:15):
Melvin Gordon got a little bit lonely and started making
phone calls. It would have made all the sense in
the world if he wanted to keep his year to
wait this thing out until week ten, he had every
right to do that, and he would have been credited
for a year. I just don't understand what the point
of this was unless they've got some sort of an
idea on a contract worked out and they said just

(05:35):
get in the building and we'll put the finishing touches on.
Maybe and maybe we'll be wrong, but eclo, we were
just talking about it. Against the line, seventeen carries sixty
six yards three point nine average, nothing special, and against
the Texans, nine rushes for thirty six yards four a rush.
So so he wasn't lightening it up. Yeah, I mean

(05:57):
I think that they could use Melvin Gordon, and I
think he proved a little bit of a point, but
rushing back did not help him. But anyway, I know,
me and you, we'll get back to that, talk about
that a little bit more. But Jonas, I know you've
been uh, you got a problem with me as always.
Car Okay, First of all, it's not a problem with
you personally, of course not. We're talking about my take,

(06:19):
you know, but you get it. You mean, you make
it seem like you know, I've got a problem with
you because you leave the toilet seat up at The
only reason you would be mad is because when you
sit on the seats up and you still fit. That's
the people. By the way, is there any worse feeling
in the world than using a public restroom and the
seats warm? Oh god? I mean you want to talk

(06:42):
because somebody's been Oh my god, But you gotta put
toilet paper down. You don't just sit on a seat. No,
But I mean sometimes you don't know, Sometimes you're in
a rush something. Sometimes can't do it. Look, I do it.
I can't do it outside of a couple of times
I've had to do it because it was red alert,
you know, it was red alert and that warm seat.

(07:02):
There is nothing more demoralizing than a warm toilet. And
the worst thing is the only reason you use a
public toilet, let's just be honest, is like it's a
dire emergency. And that's why when you go into I go.
I remember going to the airport and the La Guardia
into the bathroom and it sounds like a tuber section phil,
you know, like people, it was so gross. It was

(07:26):
so gross. Yeah, they've been they've been holding on of
that for two hours on the flight and they kept
having drinks. They didn't trust that they would be a
clean getaway inside the airport to the airplane toilet, so
they had to wait to the airport and imagine and
then be a big guy in the trying to do
it in the airport and the plant on the plane. Yeah,
like that's almost impossible. It is. Yeah, it's disgusting. When

(07:47):
does the show start about it started? It started, you know,
it did start just wondering, so, okay, what's your issue
with me other than putting toilet paper down on the seat.
Well here is uh, I saw your power rankings yeah,
your NFL power rankings. You know what, I don't follow
the crowd. I'm not like everybody else, get it. I
don't put my hand over my eyes and just go

(08:08):
charges Chiefs every I mean Patriots Chiefs every week, no
matter what. Well. I do think that you did have
your hand over your eyes, in particular in the second
half of every single Packers game, because you've got them
number one. And how you look at that offense and
go that's the best team in the NFL is insane?
Can we go by who you've beaten? Okay? Get it? Okay?

(08:30):
So they beat the Bears, who have how many losses one?
They beat the Vikings how many losses one? They're beating
good teams and those are two division rivals they've also
So when I look at them, it's about who you've played,
how you've done against them, and their defense is really good,

(08:53):
and the difference is the defensive coordinator. This is the
second year offense. You have a new head coach at
a new offense that Aaron Rodgers is trying to adjust to.
It would be one thing if Aaron Rodgers didn't have
any touchdowns in four picks and you could say he's horrible.
Look at the last two games Jonas, he had a

(09:15):
perfect quarterback rating in the first quarter of every game.
So they start fast and once they get out to
a league, they run the football a lot more than
they have and the numbers aren't big. But I don't
I don't think it's an issue where he can't do
it anymore because I saw the last two two weeks
ago he had three touchdowns in the first quarter and

(09:35):
a perfect quarterback rating. Look, I think Aaron Rodgers is
one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.
I still I would take him over gosh, probably ninety
five quarterbacks in the NFL. Here's my only issue. I'm
starting to wonder if Aaron Rodgers is peaked. That's what
I'm starting to wonder. Okay, based on the fact that
that organization, who knows him better than anybody, they had

(09:58):
a decision to make in the offseason. They got rid
of Mike McCarthy. Mike McCarthy was the quote unquote scapegoat.
And what direction did they go? They went offensive guy.
Why would you need to go offensive guy if there
was no issue with the quarterback, No, but there was
an issue with the play calling. And I'm telling you
just from I'm not trying to big time anybody or

(10:18):
talk about it, but I've I've talked to Aaron one
on one after games and I swear it to you,
No Lie. One game in Detroit, I could not believe
the play calling and I just just kind of said, dude,
what was that? That's all I said, was like, what
was that? I I didn't get that. Yeah, here, let
me you know what he said? What's that? I don't

(10:39):
know what was it? I mean really like it was
just questionable play calling. And I think that was the
downfall of Mike McCarthy and of course, you know, not
making the plass. And remember didn't they lose last year?
What was it? They got blown up by San Francisco
at home? Do you remember that? Yeah? That was it.
That was like San Francisco was got off. This embarrassing

(11:00):
the card. This is embarrassing to do this on the
Aaron and I hate doing this, but I need I
hold on what is that? I just wanted to pick
up that name you dropped? Sorry about that? Yeah, sorry,
I didn't know. I didn't. I talked to Aaron Rodgers
say it's like saying you got you got a picture
taken with the guy who plays Bob's Big Boy or whatever,
that guy that that mascot's name is. Come on, man, like, yeah,

(11:22):
you talk to Aaron Rodgers after the game. But why
would they need to go offense if they were so
certain that they fixed the problem it was Mike McCarthy.
Why did they hire another offensive guy, not to mention
an offensive guy who they didn't even talk to Aaron
Rodgers about when they made the decision. I think what
we're seeing is the next phase of Aaron Rodgers' career,

(11:43):
and I think we're gonna start to see the steady
decline of Aaron Rodgers's career. I think I think it's natural.
I don't think Aaron Rodgers is younger, a younger thirty
five because he didn't play the first three and a
half four year. But he's gotten beaten up. Man, He's
been injured, he's been banged up. I've seen the home
run ball all, I've seen the arms strength. I don't
see any deterioration. Here's the other thing. This year through

(12:05):
three games no interceptions. Last year set a record for
most completions without an interception, over four hundred. Last year
even a bad year for Aaron Rodgers was twenty seven
touchdowns and two picks. So I just haven't seen it yet.
Uh Is it is? The numbers there are as big

(12:27):
as they were in the past. No, they aren't. But
I'm not. I'm not there yet. I'm not. I think
he's trying to buy in. He's trying to got a
new coach. I'm gonna listen to the guy. This is
what he wants to do. They're running the football way
more than they have because they got guys who can
run it. But I don't think this. I haven't seen
one ounce to say that Aaron Rodgers can't be that

(12:49):
guy if he has to be, if he has to
be in a shootout at some point, still in his prime.
No deterioration, not Muchoever. The only thing to me was
he's been hurt a couple of years years, and that's
why people look at him and don't think he's the
same when he's healthy, which he is now. I don't
have any issue. You take him up for Patrick Mahomes
right now. Yes, you take Aaron Rodgers, absolutely, yes, Patrick Mahomes.

(13:12):
Let me see. No, let's talk about it. Well, last
year in the playoffs, right Remember, Okay, so Patrick Mahomes
was shut out in the first half and was outdueled
and beat by a forty semi year old quarterback in
his own crib in a game, in a game that
everybody thought the Chiefs would win, right because the Patriots

(13:35):
had to come to Kansas City, and he even beat
a forty year old guy, Aaron Rodgers. For all people
want to talk about here, it is he's won a
Super Bowl. He went on the road and won every
game in order to get that Super Bowl, And to
this day he has three of the greatest records in
the NFL. He has the greatest quarterback record quarterback rating

(13:56):
of any quarterback who's ever played. He has the best
touched down the interception ratio of any quarterback who's ever
played anybody. And he also has a streak of more
the most completions without an interception. The dude has done
everything you could do with it. And he's also missed
the playoffs and back to back years. Yeah, but he's
been hurt. But hold on second, like you can't, here's

(14:18):
some here, here's the problem. You you don't like Tom Brady.
Who said I don't like Tom I don't know Tom Brook,
right right. We have no evidence on the network that
you have any issue with Tom. No, you're right, that's
I'm just not into cheaters, that's all. I'm sorry. I
thought we're during a break or something. All right, here

(14:39):
we go. We're gonna We're gonna get into it. We
definitely will do that. But pros do it right and

number Jonas, it's eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
And it's real simple. Are you buying the Packers? I

(15:24):
have them number one in the power rankers. They got
some big wins, they're undefeated, they have a defense. Are
you buying the Packers? Or if you like Jonas, you're
skeptical when you think Aaron Rodgers is finished. I don't
think he's finished, but I think the end is closer
than a lot of people are acting like all right,

(16:35):
On this Worship Wednesday, I'll telephone number eight seven seven
ninety nine. On Fox, Jonas is going through one of
those moments. He says, Aaron Rodgers is washed up and
can't play anymore. Despite the Packers being three and oh,
Aaron Rodgers four touchdowns, no picks. He's not the gun
slinger that Jonas would like, but he has a new

(16:56):
offensive system and a new head coach. Yeah, no, I
totally get it. But we've seen other coaches take lesser
quarterbacks in new systems and do damn good things. And
I just feel like there's been a shift with this
franchise that it's no longer going to be contingent on
We've got Aaron Rodgers. I think they're playing it more
conservative and they're lying on their defense more and I

(17:18):
think it's for a reason. All right, let's kick it
off with Marty in Kentucky. You're on the odd couple
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Marty? What's up? Rob? And Jonas?
How are you doing with this? First? A point in
the Doty doing great? Amen? All right, Well, I hate
to do it, but I agree with Rob. Oh My,
there we go. What a shock? What a shock? I

(17:41):
don't know. I don't like agreeing with Rob, but sometimes
I have to. Aaron Rodgers is I've just never seen
anybody put the ball on a down like that man does.
And the Patrick Mahomes comparison that the problem I have
with Sad. I take Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback
that Andrew reach had, but every quarterback place for Randy
Reid looks fantastic, absolutely open receivers. You can look at

(18:05):
Donovan Nab, Michael Vick, Kevin Cob Um even um they
traded Kevin cob got got Grimodi out of him after
he got hurt, and they put Vick in. Um, you
got oh boys, Alex both of years ago. You got
even Alex Smith had the best numbers of his beer

(18:26):
under Andy Reid. Receivers get open with this guy. And
I do think Mahomes is great, but he's no Rodgers.
All right, appreciate it. Marty. You got a problem with
Marty Well, I mean, first of all, I mean it
sounds like a rottweiler swallowed a battery. Um, I don't know.
I don't know what he was doing. That's his job.
He has a job where because sometimes his voice is gone,

(18:46):
he must be yelling at the at the plan or whatever. Yeah, well,
I don't know whatever it was. Let me just say this,
there's not a general manager in football. Who have you said?
All right, you can build your team around Patrick Mahomes
or Aaron Rodgers. Who are you taking? There's not one
in football that with say Aaron Rodgers. Well, that's funny
because the bleacher, the athletic where before the season started,

(19:07):
mister Jonas, if you want me to get a copy
for y'all, get it. And this was fifty five executives
and GMS and coaches around the league, and they rated
knowing what Patrick Mahomes did his rookie year, fifty touchdowns,
which is incredible. Aaron Rodgers, not Tom Brady, not Patrick
Mahomes was ranked a number one quarterback and the number

(19:28):
one player that they would want. And why is that?
And you don't think after three weeks maybe some of
them aren't changing their minds. He hasn't done anything for that.
We had Charlie Casherley on and he said, I'm watching
Aaron Rodgers. I don't see anything. I don't see any
drop off. I see the long ball, I see everything
that he's always done. They're not doing as much of it,

(19:48):
but he sees it. Adam in Illinois, you're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up at him? Hey, guys?
So to address the whole going for an offensive head
coach when you have a defensive coordinator that the quality
they have right now, it which shows in this season
I mean, why go for a defensive head coach. You're

(20:09):
just in the double stack. The defense. I understand Aaron
Rodgers is great and we had a lot of bad
play calling last year, but I mean you're not you
don't want to Do you want to make your quarterback
of player coach the whole time or do you want
to have another input? I mean two sets eyes on
one problem. It's better than one. And to talk about
the defense itself, they've had more turnovers in the first

(20:31):
three games this year than they did the entire season
last year. They have eight. They have eight, right, eight,
They've eight takeaway what's the strength of their team? What's
the strength the quarterback? Aaron Rodgers? It's not the defense, No,
it's Aaron Rodge. But you need but the biggest problem
with that team, and Adam thanks for the call, is
that he's been in three playoff games where's defense is

(20:52):
given up forty points three or four games. You can't
win in the playoffs when you give up forty points.
Since he won his Super Bowl, how many Super bowls
is Brady one? I mean, what are we like three
or four? Brady Brady had no touchdowns in the Super
Bowl at one last week? So was it Bradio? Was
it the day Sony was show? Okay? But then using
that rationale the year before he threw for over five

(21:13):
hundred yards. He left points on the field. You remember
that their defense couldn't stop Nick falls No, but Brady
left points. He fumbled the ball with two and a
half minutes ago. Did he not up the ball? You
got to secure that when they come to tech A right, okay,
pull that ball un day? Yes, Hey, Max and Georgia,

(21:35):
you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio. You know
you're messing with today. What's up, fellas? How y'all doing
doing great? I'm kind of in between both of you. Rob,
you know you're my guy. I agree with you probably
ninety five percent of the time when you talk on
the show. I'm just I'm a little torn here and
I'm glad it's with Jonas or not Chris. But why
is that? Well, you know you're my guy. You know

(21:55):
I can with Chris all the time. So so if
I got agree with somebody besides, you had better be Jonas. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I gotta give Jonas more water because this is a
show me league, this is a what have you done
for me late league. I will give him props that
he has played three of the probably better defenses in
the league and for the past years as well. So

(22:16):
if I look at his staffs and it's like four touchdowns,
like we're all used to that, Aaron Rodgers getting nine
at least six touchdowns in a three game span, and
we've become spoiled by that, And that's one thing to say.
But what I'm glad you've brought up the three bests,
like three three of the top defenses, because that's a fact.
That's a fact. It's a fact. But I don't want
to I don't want to give them too much weight

(22:36):
here because I don't like Pro Football Focus. But they
had him at number nine, which I think is crazy.
But I don't agree. I don't think he's top three
in the current status the league. That's just my opinion,
all right, Hey, Max, thanks for the call, appreciate it.
I mean Pro Football Focus also had Brady at one
and Mahomes at six, so I mean, for what it's worth.

The only hard part, of course, is figuring out which
is easier. And our guests now on the Odd Couple.
Minnesota Vikers line backer Eric Kendricks joins us on the program.
How are you, Eric? I'm doing great. How are you guys?
Good man, We're doing good. We were just having a
discussion and maybe you could chime in real quick here. First,
because you played against Aaron Rodgers. H Jonas says that

(23:44):
he's washed up and he looks terrible so far this year.
But the package of three and oh and they're kind
of doing a different What have you seen from Aaron
Rodgers so far? Um? I mean, honestly, like we played
him too weeks ago and I'm not really even really
thinking about him, Like, yeah, honestly, I haven't. I've only
watched the game that we played against them. In the

(24:05):
games prior. But I mean, shoot, I mean he can
make every throw in the book, so he's definitely still
Aaron Rodgers. Eric. How long do you when you guys
come off a win like this past week and you're celebrating.
Obviously you're happy, but you know you've got a big
game against Chicago coming up, which is huge in the division.
How long do you celebrate the last win before you
get your mind ready to go in the next week

(24:26):
against the Bears. Um, I'll say, you know, I feel
like twenty four hour rule is pretty pretty pretty good
good amount of time. I mean, you gotta enjoy the wins.
You know, you gotta let the losses hurt a little bit,
But then you know your focus needs to just shift immediately.
I mean you can't you can't forget about things that happened, obviously,
but I mean as far as like worrying about it

(24:47):
and spending that much energy on the past, you got
to move on quickly. How about is this team still
about the defense or is it about Kirk Cousins and
the offense? What are who are the vikings Man? The
vikings of the vikings Man. We're worried about what we
got going on. You know, we're we're all on the
same page. You know, we're all everybody's head in the

(25:07):
same direction. Um, you know, I'm just excited that I
have the opportunity to play on the team. And we
know you're from California, we know you're a West Coast guy.
So would you prefer because I think early in the season,
what a lot of people don't think about is sometimes
humidity in the Midwest and in the South and some
of these other places. Would you prefer to play in
a humid place early in the season or a really
cold place later on? Olive a really cold later on?

(25:31):
Think about that, because all we really we hear about
is how the cold weather is so hard to deal with.
But you're saying the humidity is even worse than the cold. Yeah,
I mean for me personally, I feel like, uh, just
the heat and just me sweating and you know, cramping,
and you know, I just I mean cold. Now, now
we're talking about cold and we're talking about negative twenty five, right,

(25:54):
that's a little bit different. Well, you guys don't play
outside anymore, so it's a lot better now, right. It's
honestly like games now that are like zero degrees or
like even if it's like ten degrees eight degrees, those
are solid to means, like I could I could do those.
I could run all day. I don't even know you
barely sweat. Eric. Were you playing. Were you on the
team when you guys were playing outdoors waiting for the

(26:15):
stadium to get built. Yeah, we played. We played Seattle
in the playoffs. I mean, that was the code of game. Like,
I remember my mom wanted to come out to that
game and watch it. And it was outside and my
mom gets cold in the movie theaters, and I told
her she needs to stay home, you know, because she
has never even seen that kind of cold or like
felt that kind of cold. It looks I don't know

(26:35):
if I'm just I don't. I don't know if it
was the layout of the stadium or the turf or
what it was, but it looked like I honestly, it
looked like Moscow. It looked like you were in Siberia.
It felt freezing on the air. So when you come
when you come away from a game like that, I mean,
when do you thought out are you just at any
point during the game, and just be honest, were you thinking, man,

(26:57):
I just want to get the hell out of here. Man.
I remember the first the first third down, Like we
got off the field on the first third down and
I was just like, oh, man, like thank thank god,
where's the hero at? But it's crazy because I feel
like on Nicota's days, it's kind of like you don't
really see clouds in the sky. It's kind of like
it's it's it's sunny, but it's it's it's weird. It's

(27:21):
hard to explain. It's depressing. It's depressing, is what it is.
Our guess. Eric Kendricks from the Minnesota Vike is the
linebacker here on the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio.
When you look at the division, the NFC North, this
it's pretty stacked here. Packers are undefeated, the Lions are undefeated.
Uh you guys, and the Bears are both two and one.

(27:41):
So everybody's healthy and doing well. How big of a
fight is it going to be in this division the
rest of the year, man, It's it's always going to
be a fight, you know. Um, it's a it's a
physical division. You know, it's it's a very talented division.
And uh man, like you said, it's it's it's everybody
good it's gonna be tough. Eric Hendricks with this here

(28:02):
on Fox Sports Radio of linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings,
joining us here on FSR UM. What's the worst rule
in football? The rule that you look at and go,
if I had if I had a choice, if I
had an option, if I had the power, I could
get rid of this, get rid of it or modify it.
Oh oh, I mean I feel like, I don't know,

(28:30):
put them on a spot. I mean, I guess, I
guess there's got to be quarterbacks. I mean they get
protected and stuff like that. But well, but that but
that's fair, I mean, and that's no. I get it,
and I understand it. But at the same time, like
you always want to hit a quarterback. I mean, in practice,
they can't get hit. You know, It's like, come on,
they they run around now now now you see them

(28:52):
starting to run to the sideline and kind of do
the extra couple of yards right at the end because
they know they have a bubble. So I mean, that's crazy.
But also I think that's why we've also seen like
the numbers of quarterbacks, just like they know that they
could stand in there a little bit more as far
as protection and the way that they're protected. I think
it has changed football. And obviously they throw the ball

(29:13):
a lot more than they ever have. Yeah, like I
did it. You know when you watch some of the
old tastes and it's like, you know, you know, back
in the day when they used to play football and there,
I mean, quarterbacks were just like it was just green light.
You know, it was those quarterbacks were getting thrown around.
It was crazy. Honestly, I don't know how it happened,
how to happen. And it feels like to me at
this point, everybody acknowledges the risks and the danger and

(29:35):
I know, you know, the NFL wasn't you know, they
weren't up to speed on all of that stuff before.
But it feels like we're all we all of the understanding.
It's a dangerous game. It's a violent game. It's a
physical game. Do you feel like they're going way overboard
with the protection and you guys are okay with the
results based on knowing what the game was when you
got started. No, you know, you just got adjust our game.
You know. It's it's it's like I said, I understand it.

(29:56):
You know, I get it. You know, those are the guys.
You know, they they're kind of the ones looking down field.
You know, they're kind of one standard or you know,
their ladies successible everything. But like and do I always
agree with it? Not necessarily, but do I understand it? Absolutely?
We gotta we gotta just adjust how we play. Eric
Kendricks of the Minnesota Vikings is joining us here on

(30:17):
Fox Sports Radio. Talk to us about s October and
what you're doing with Dream Builders Foundation and support of
the Sheridan Story. Yeah. Every you know, every stack, uh,
every stack we can't you know, UM Lever Pledges goes
goes to the goes to the kids. Sheridan Story. You
know these UM Sara and Story is the organization that
helps UM raise money in Minnesota for kids who you

(30:37):
know don't are you know food they need food? You know,
they they don't, they don't. They don't have UM opportunities
like everybody else. You know, they don't have the means
of everybody else. And and these guys they go they
go to schools and they pack these lunches and you know,
I've went along with them, and these guys they packed
the lunches and they send them on the kids and
the way home for the weekend, just so you know

(30:58):
they have some of to eat. So it's definitely a
special thing. And it's proven that you know, you know
kids who who are hungry at school, you know they
don't do what as well on testing. You know, they're
more likely to get in trouble in school. So, I mean,
this is all These are all important things. You know,
we gotta keep fast. This is really important. It is
because if you go to school, right and you haven't
had breakfast, ye, your whole focus is what time is lunch?

(31:21):
That's all you're thinking about, right, You're not thinking about
doing your math or science. It's really a big deal, man,
this is some great work. And then you know what happens,
You end up over eating at lunch and you fall
asleep the next class. Right, you got the I did
it every time, almost every time. So you know, if
people want to get involved or help out, is there
is there a way of finding out about this. Yeah,

(31:44):
I'll be I'll be posting things on my tocial media,
you know, Eric Kinder fifty four and um, yeah, it'll
be It'll be good. That's all right, that's great work
and we appreciate your time. Thanks so much. Eric, all right,
appreciate it, all right. Appreciate that Melvin Gordon is ending
this holdout? Does that mean he's gotten bad advice from
his agent the whole time? The Odd Couple's coming back next,

(32:06):
Rob Parker, Jonas Knox in for Chris Broussard, Stick and stay, yes, sir,
be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern,
four pm Pacific. It is the Odd Couple of Fox
Sports Radio. Rob Parker, Jonas Knox in for Chris Broussard

(32:27):
on this Worship Wednesday. And the news which is strange,
I guess, is Melbourne Goring. Where is he from? Is
he from Cleveland? Uh? No, I don't. I don't believe so,
because the story about him ending his holdout and reporting
to the Chargers was first broken by the Cleveland plane Dealer,
so that was he must be. Is he from there? No?

(32:49):
I think he's from Wisconsin. Okay, yeah, because he went
to Wisconsin, and I think he I think he was
born rights there if I'm not mistaken. But the Cleveland
plane Dealer broke the story. Is this? Uh? Just so?
Branson Wright Branson Wright broke the story. It's I think
it's a diversionary tactic so they don't have to focus
on how bad their football team is. Maybe that's what

(33:11):
it is. Branson Wright as a reporter for the Cleveland
Playing Dealer, and he's the one who broke the story
because you just sent me a text and showed me
the tweet. All right, very nice. This was posted at midnight.
Good job, branson On. I got to pick that up again.
Hold on, Oh, I'm just saying what that the guy
who broke the story called me, I mean, text me

(33:32):
how many years? Sorry? That was the second name you
drop a million? Yeah? I know everybody, all right? All right, Well,
and that's that's evident by your social media habits. Yeah,
I mean, nobody posts more. And the only person I
think that posts more on Instagram than you is maybe

(33:53):
Kylie Jenners. Yeah, like naybe her. Yeah. Rob Parker posts
a lot on social meeting. I haven't posted the last
couple of days. I've been busy. Hey, teaching takes up
a lot of time, it does, it really does. Yeah. Well,
let's talk about the Melbourne Gordon thing. I just gotta
be a I don't get it. What was the point?
Bad advice? Don't hold out if you're not willing to

(34:17):
do to Really what is the point? And Monty thing is,
why is it this weekend that you gave in after
they just showed you they just lost two games in
a row and they're trouble running the football? Aren't you
more valuable now to the charges should have taken a
look at themselves and go Eckler or is we really
is this really going to work out for us? Your

(34:37):
windows open? You got a forty nine year old quarterback
and look. I think it's also the fomo aspect, fear
of missing out when you see your teammates out there
and they're playing. Yeah, trust me, you gotta be careful.
It's one of those words you gotta be really, really
really careful with. It's like it's like saying the name
Kareem Hunt on the air. You gotta be really careful,

(34:59):
careful because the CC the second day here you're getting
into that discussion, they're waiting for you to slip up.
Because I'm a broadcast professional, I don't I absolutely, I'm
just a half. But I wonder if a couple of
things are happening one if he was watching his team
play and he sort of had that well, you know,
I kind of miss this. I miss being around the guys,

(35:19):
I missed playing, I miss getting out there. And I
also wonder if there's been some sort of a discussion
about all right, look, let's try and work on this,
but let's work on it in house. And I know
the Chargers have already said we're tabling discussions and all that,
but maybe Melvin Gordon just told his agent and said, look, man,
if this is the best deal we're going to get,
this is the best deal we're gonna get. I don't

(35:39):
necessarily want to leave. That's why I'm with you on
Levon Bellaway handle. He was prepared, and once there was
a loophole and he could become a free agent, he's like,
I'm out, yeah, and never bother. Oh he'll never make
that money up, dude. He got what he wanted, which
was basically guaranteed money. Without this deal is burning him out.
And James Connor where everybody, yeah, what happened, what happened

(36:02):
with what happened? But that everybody told me that they
didn't miss him last year because James Conna put up
the same numbers. They didn't make the playoff stop it. Yeah,
and here's and the charges are struggling right now running
the football. My favorite thing when it comes to the
Levyon Bell discussion from last year's when people go, huh,

(36:22):
he walked away from fifteen million dollars that he's never
going to get back. Okay, and if he played and
got hurt, he would have walked away, Lady Millard, that
he never would get because he's injured. Look, everybody's got
to make their own decisions when it comes time for
their contract. Running Backs are in a tough spot. We've
talked about it. Here's here's the thing about that why
I always feel bad for running backs, especially this day

(36:44):
and age. You look around at the NFL and how
much it's changed. It's become safer at every single position
except that. Okay, it's become every single position is making
more money and seeing their value grow unlike ever before.
Except for running back. They've stayed the same the whole time.
And here's the other part. It's like you talked about,
this shelf life is less than five years. So if

(37:06):
you let them burn you out after four years, most
of the time, that big deal. Jonas never comes. It
never comes. And like if imagine this, if you and
Chris were doing this show and you saw every single
show at the network Monday through Friday was getting new
equipment and getting pushed here and getting publicity here and
this and that, you guys would be looking around going
hold on a second, can we get a little bit

(37:28):
of love? Running backs are seeing every position and every
aspect of the NFL grow leaps and bounds, making more money,
becoming safer. Look at the quarterbacks and the money that
these guys who aren't even that good turn around and
getting paid big dollars, and running backs are beaten into
the ground. So I totally get why these guys hold out.

(37:48):
I'm not opposed to it. I just don't know why
now would be the time for Melvin Gordon to come back. Yeah,
it's a very very strange, but hey, it's his decision.
I hope it was worth it. And maybe there's a
deal that we don't know about that they've been working.
Who knows. All right, it is the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio Rob Parker Jonas Knox in for Chris
Brussard and the second hour the programs coming up and

(38:10):
we are talking Baseball. The King of the Whirls coming up.

(38:53):

we'll do it lot. That never gets old. Now, So
Chris Brusordi's on what vacation number nineteen of the year.
I just I just keep showing up. O my god, No,
do you know what I'm doing? I think it just
walks around in flip flops. Now, he doesn't even Everything
is just a vacation life on a beach, you know,
I mean, I stember saying, you know, hey, look I'm

(39:22):
happy to be here, though, Oh I'm happy for you
to be Yeah, it's and and this is I would
think we enter into the most fun time on the
sports calendar because we've got the NFL obviously in full swing.
College football's hot, We've got NBA training camps are opening up.
There's a lot of interesting storylines in the NBA, um

(39:44):
the NHL. For you puckheads out there that like hockey,
don't worry, we're just mentioning it. Don't turn the station.
We're just mentioning hockey. And also I'm just saying, I'm dear.
I'm just saying, no one's going to turn the station
if you mention. But also, we've got Major League baseball
rot oh my good, the season winding down less than
a week Togo, and the playoffs start next two. And
I'll say this about the Major League Baseball playoffs, and

(40:06):
I tease you, and people get offended sometimes when I say,
you know, we don't want to talk baseball. It's called
ball busting, right, It's where we're teasing here. I grew
up a fan of baseball, loved baseball, was terrible at it.
But no sport turns it up. Whence it gets to
the postseason like Major League Baseball does. And you know what,
jonas this year, look at all the good teams in

(40:29):
the playoffs. This this is really shaping up. You got
three teams, right yeah, Yankees, Dodgers, Astros. And then you
have a look at the run the Nationals, ad they
secured a spot. You look around Oakland and the razor
As still fighting. The Braves are a good team. Just
look around. Who's a bad team that's gonna be in

(40:50):
the playoffs. Yeah, it's it's really good. The wild card. Now, personally,
I'm not a huge fan of the wild card. I
think it should be a three game series. But I
like I like that only one wild card team gets it,
you know what I mean? Now, I don't want that,
don't I don't want that exactly. It's like the college
football playoff. Everybody wants to make it eight teams. Stop, okay,
make it and make it more difficult to get in,

(41:13):
not less difficult. And then the next thing would be like, oh,
it's then eight. It should be ten, No, and it
should be twelve. And then you have the NBA. Uh,
we're half the league makes the playoffs and you make
the regular season null and void. That's the problem. Yeah,
And that's the great thing about a sport like college football,
to where if you lose once your screw seasons, it's

(41:33):
I mean like you're you're in a really difficult spot.
Now you need a bunch of stuff to happen in
order to get in. So I think you make it
more difficult to get in, make it, make it a
difficult task and for it to mean something, and I
think it makes the playoff format better in each sport.
So that being said, speaking of playoffs, there are guys
who are not going to be in the Major League
Baseball playoffs. And there was a twig. Did you see

(41:55):
college here? There's a Now. These guys are Mike Trout,
Bryce Harper, Manny much Otto, and Nolan Arronado. I guess
so they all have in common highest paid players in
the game, and they all got big contracts this pass
off season. So Colin said, as predicted, all four players
who signed contracts this season will not be in the
twenty nineteen postseason. And you know what, I disagree with

(42:18):
Colin from the standpoint. Yes, he mentioned about signing guys,
but that doesn't mean that these teams made the wrong
decision in signing guys. It's a business. Yes, did Bryce
Harper have one of his best years ever? Yes, he
had a good year. He had a really good year.
He had a career high in RBI's thirty two, thirty

(42:40):
three home runs. It wasn't like he played poor leon.
They didn't win. And let's be honest, man, I've talked
to people in Philly, and I talked to somebody in
Philly who's at least pretty closely connected to what's happening
with that team. They do not get along with Gabe Kapler,
the manager. There's been an obedi issue. Yes, some players

(43:00):
want nothing to do with it. That being said, disappointing.
That a lot of talent, the money, and it's a
bummer because you know you're gonna be sitting out of
the postseason, and I'm sure Major League Baseball would love
all these stars to be in the in the postseason. Harper, Trout, Machado,
nol Arronado, he doesn't get talked about enough. He's fantastic
is but he plays in Colorado and for whatever reason,

(43:22):
you don't. They've had good years, but they just haven't
been able to break through fully. And that's where We're
like winning a championship and getting people law hyped up
about it. But you know what it happens. But here's
the thing, Colin saying, paying guys big money. But what
team won the World Series last year? Boston Red Sox.

(43:42):
Guess who had the highest payroll, Boston Red Sox. So
did they spend money? You got to spend money. And
here's my argument the other part talking about not signing people.
The Oakland A's gonna make the playoffs again in the race,
they don't spend any money. Last year, the Race spent
seventy seven million dollars on their payroll. And the years

(44:03):
that they that they made the playoffs right where they
keep in this budget around seventy seven eighty million dollars.
They always wind up losing early on in the playoffs.
Is the same thing with the Oakland A's. The last
couple of times that they've made the playoffs in twenty fourteen,
twenty eight, they always lose in the first round. You
know why they don't have enough good players. Here's here's

(44:25):
just to back the point up even more. If I
were to tell you anybody listening right now, you got
you got an option you can either watch the Rays
versus the A's in a playoff game or a regular
season game. Mike Trout versus Bryce Harper. You're gonna take
Trout and Harper every single time, and if you say
you won't, you're lying round absolutely, and the same reason

(44:46):
for all the success and league. Can you look this
up real quick, for all the success of the A's
doing it with a cheap payroll in the Rays, I
bet you they rank one and two with the worst
to ten. People don't even even though they're playoff teams.
And the A's were good all year and so were
the Rays. Where do they ran to contend? Is why

(45:07):
people don't want to go. You know what, People like
the paper spend money on stars. That's why. That's why
the Philly fans bought one hundred thousand tickets in twenty
four hours after they signed Bryce Harper. By the way,
my one of my best friends in the world has
season tickets to the A's lives up in Oakland. He
has sent me one video from that ballpark this year

(45:28):
and they're a good team. You know what that video
is his daughter are playing in the sandbox. They have
somewhere in the stadium right nobody like nobody, there's no
desire to want to see the A's, there's no desire
to want to see the Raids. Wise they could fill
up the stadium and they have. You know, it's a
star driven sports is about stars. And you could kid
yourself and say we're gonna do it the old fashioned

(45:50):
way and we're gonna build a team and know that
they don't win. Joe Madden took the Rays to the
World Series. They lost. You know why Philly's had all
the stars on that team. I'm serious. So Colin's point
about spending money doesn't automatically get you there, which I agree.
I understand that, but you need stars if you want
to win. And as far as business of baseball, and

(46:11):
I just gave you the Bryce Harper not only Bryce
Harper's one hundred thousand tickets in twenty four hours, he's
sold more Philly more jerseys than when Lebron came to
the Lakers. And the Padres, who have been void anything
interesting for a long long time, who play in a
beautiful ballpark in a city where there's a lot to

(46:32):
do outside of going to a baseball game, the Padres
saw attendance numbers go up, they improved dramatically revenue. Yes,
why do you think that was because all of a
sudden they've got a recognizable player that you can go
watch play. We all agree that the salaries that are
paid for when fans do the whole well, our tickets

(46:54):
pay for your salary, No, they don't. It's about the
TV revenue. And so from a national standpoint, do I
want to watch the a's or the raise? Now you
and I are different. I will watch the a's and raises.
I want to watch because I like baseball. But just
a general fan standpoint, do you want to watch the
raise and a's or do you want to watch Manny
Machado play? I would rather see a better player play,

(47:16):
even if it was in a less important game. And
so with that being said, that boosts the numbers when
it comes to attendance. That also makes them more viable
when it comes to hey, which game do you want
to see on national television. So it made all the
sense in the world for these teams to go out
and sign these players because now your team is in
the mix. People are like, okay, wow, the Padres are serious.

(47:41):
And then they even brought up remember tattoos. They could
have held back to get another year out of them
service what tattoos team? Ya, but they they brought them
up early, right, Yeah, they will trying to put together
a team and uh it didn't work out. But your point,
they finished fourteenth. Attendance average thirty thousand fans a game.

(48:03):
Would you take that? Yes, thirty thousand. Here's my point
about Oakland average twenty thousand. They're twenty fourth, Tampa Bay
is twenty ninth. Only Miami's worse. Miami ridiculous average ten
thousand fans, Tampa Bay fourteen thousand. Here's the difference. Tampa
Bay they have a security spot yet, but they're close

(48:26):
to it. They have a chance to make the playoffs.
And Miami, who who was awful all year and didn't
spend any money, has no chance. And the only difference
in attendance is four thousand. And this is how bad
Tampa Bay is and Miami, who's got a like a
carnival funhouse in the outfield, like it's a disaster. Nobody
wants to go to those games. The city got fleeced.

(48:46):
They were told we're going to go all in, and
they went out and signed all these players and then
got rid of them. You know, the Marlins in one
outfield right now could have Christian Yelich and Gencarlos standards, Yes,
one outfield. It's it's crazy like it is about stars,
and I think these players know what their worths are
and they've been getting the shaft from owners who've been

(49:08):
wanting to go on the cheat for so many of
these players. There's no reason the Dallas Kikel and Craig
Kimball had to wait, Kig Craig Kimbrell had to wait
until that far into the season to get contracts. There's
no reason because the owners short changed them. Finally, somebody
stepped up to the plate, like the Padres and the
Phillies and they paid these guys. Do you think the
Padres or Phillies ownership regrets signing either one of those guys.

(49:31):
Absolutely not. It immediately paid dividends in ticket sales. It's
a business. You could kid you so far you want,
and that's why that's why you signed gud The Hobby
Bayez is maybe the most exciting player in Major League
Baseball play for the Cubs. Unbelievable U MVP candidate a
year ago got injured. This year was putting up monster
now people are electric and like almost an Azzie Smith

(49:55):
with the glove at times, some of the stuff that
he can do. The Cubs already tried to offer for
him a contract extension, and he turned it down because
he knows what he's worth. He's seeing the money out
there and he knows the Cubs are gonna pay that.
They understands as well as any team does. If you
got a superstar, you need to keep him around. You
need to pay that guy money. It is. It is amazing.

(50:17):
And yes, these guys will not make the playoffs. Other
things happen, but I'm never I'm never with not signing
stars and like tanking like the like the Dolphins are
doing in the NFL. I mean, imagine being a fan
in Miami, right, yeah, the Miami Marlins stink. The Dolphins stink.
I mean, it's just and they're taking both organizations and

(50:39):
you expect people to show up. I wouldn't show up,
and people will point to well, you know, but the
Nationals made the playoffs and they got rid of Bryce Harper.
Do you mean a favorite? Where does Philadelphia rank on
the attendance numbers and where does Washington rank? I think
Philadelphia is way above them, and there you go. That's
the financial part we're talking about. They were tenth and
Washington was sixteenth. You think you lost some people because

(51:01):
you didn't sign Byce Harper? Did you think you lost
some attendance? I think you did. So here's the question though,
are you against obviously we're both not against it, but
as a fan in baseball signing a big time player,
is that silly? Or would you rather than build with kids?
Do you when you buy tickets and you go to

(51:23):
the ballpark, do you want to see stars or not?
I think it matters. Yes, absolutely, And just ask yourself
this question. Would you rather watch a playoff game? And
it's just really easy. Would you rather watch a playoff
game between the Rays and the A's or would you
rather watch Bryce Harper versus Mike Trout in a regular
season game? And I bet you if you if you
put it to a poll and people were being honest,

(51:44):
they would say we'd rather watch Bryce Harper and Mike
Trout just a fact. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Odd Couple with Chris Brussar and Rob Parker
weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific. It is
the odd couple here on Fox Sports Trade. Anybody's seen
Rob Parker, Rob Parker? Rob a pot for Rob Parker.

(52:07):
I'm right here, my man. What are you talking about?
Fancy shoes? Ten thousand dollars watch, Rob Parker? No, oh,
there he is. Watch another one. You are You are
a watch connoisseur. That's your new I think that's your
new vice. But that's not a bad lit that's that's
a nice watch. That's nice. And it was twenty five
percent off. Of course it was mean. Of course I

(52:29):
had to jump on it. Yeah, you had to, all right.
So it is the odd couple here on Fox Sports Radio,
Jonas Knox in for Chris Brussard, alongside the great and
powerful Rob Parker. Pay no attention to that man behind
the curtain. Now Rob Parker coming up in we'll call
it about ten minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
It's a little bit of foul or fair, foul or
fair here on FSR. So we'll get to that here

(52:52):
about ten minutes from now. On Fox Sports Radio, we
were talking though last segment about just the idea that
people look at the big time on tracks of the
past off season. Bryce Harper Mike Trout, Nolan Arronado, Manny Machado,
those guys not making the playoffs as being a bad
strategy for teams that want to win, And I think
that's just we both agree. There's it's more of a

(53:12):
layered discussion. It's not just about the wins and losses.
It's about the buzz. It's about getting generating the interest
from a national standpoint and a local standpoint for each
of those teams. And so the conversation turned to, look,
would you rather watch the Rays and A's in a
playoff game or would you rather watch Mike Trout versus
Bryce Harper in a regular season game? And me, personally,

(53:33):
I'd rather watch Trout versus Harper. I just no doubt
about it. A sports is about stars. You could talk
about all you want building and all that kind of stuff,
and I'm not against building a team, but it is
about stars. And you could say, oh, well, because all
the teams that build without the stars, they all have
one thing in common. They don't win a championship. Look,

(53:54):
it's how many times if we got to go through this.
The A's are making the playoffs again, the Rays are
making the playoffs. Let me ask you this in the
NBA last year, who did we talk about more? The Lakers? Are?
The Jazz talked about the Lakers and they didn't even
make the playoffs. Yes, and the Jazz are a good
team and I enjoy watching the Jazz, but the Lakers
have the stories, they have the stars that are more recognizable.

(54:16):
With that being said, Kevin is listening in Milwaukee here
on Fox Sports Radio. Kevin, what's going on? Man ally?
What's going on? Guys? A big fan of the show.
Thank you? I could call him thanks. Yeah. And to
bring it to a point, you know, I'll pay money
to see a playoff game of throwers, but I'm not
gonna play, you know, paying money to see some two
craft teams I don't care about. But if it's Fryce

(54:37):
Harper and Mike Trout in just a regular season game,
might travel and go pay to see that. You know,
it's it's dromin sports. I love it. It's two great
names going at it, and you know I pay to
see it. But I'm not gonna even sit in front
of the TV and watch two Craft teams I don't
even care about playing, you know, in the playoffs. That's
why that's why I totally agree, and that's why I
think it's still good business even though you Mike Trout,

(55:01):
Oh my god, they gave him four hundred and thirty
million dollars. The Angels didn't make the playoffs. There was
seventh in attendance, so people showed up. Yeah, and uh,
you know what, they still have something to build on
for next year if they make some other moves. He's
a guy that I would want to sign long term. Two.
Blind Willie is in Florida. By the way, that sounds
like the name of a like a seafood restaurant, like

(55:22):
blind Willies. No, they've done it kind of like a
seafood restaurant. That's what they call me. After a couple
of drinks and I'm looking for that's what a blind Willie.
You're with us here on Fox Sports Radio. What's happening, Jonas?
What's up? Baby? You my overnight week my over weekend?

(55:43):
Damn right man. Yeah, that's when when Rod Parker's out socializing.
Maybe I'm here keeping the keeping the lights on in
the place where the coal mines of sports stock radio
and weekend overnights. Hey, I love I love Rod Parker,
but I only get to listen to him a couple
of weeks out to a couple days week. I listened
to you every weekend. Rob Hartley shows up to work.

(56:05):
Hear hey, but listen, I would rather watch the Raise
and the Age play being at this playoff contention. You
know what I mean, because you can put two stars
on the field on teams that don't make nothing. You
know they don't. They're not getting the chance to play

(56:25):
in the playoffs. They got Louis and records, but they
got stars by the name. And then what are you?
What are you watching them for? You watching them for
one guy? You know what I'm saying, A big name,
But if you look at the Raise and the Age,
they're fighting for playoff contentions. You know what I'm saying.
What they could do is wind up in the World Series.
You know what I mean? How about winning World Series?

(56:48):
All I'm saying, like Billy Bean is celebrated for all
this analytics or whatever. What World series did you want?
They made a movie, Thanks for the call, blind Willie.
They made a movie. And the climax of it, you
know what it was? Was it that they won twenty
games in a row and and and the thing that's
so crazy. If you go watch that movie, they never
even mentioned Molder, zero and Hudson. They had great players,

(57:11):
they had great play but they never mentioned those guys
in the movie. They had three three studs and at
the top of their rotation, the only guy they kept
from that core group, the only guy they kept from
the core group as far as as far as position
players goes, was Eric Chavez. They had Giambi there, they
had like they had and they went on the cheap
and guess what happened resulted in no big time wins

(57:34):
in the postseason. Next up, Luke is in Alabama listening
here on Fox Sports Radio. Luke, what's happening, Hey, guys,
that's it going doing great? I just wanted to say,
you know, I think it's a balance of both. You
need to have that star attraction to bring in a tenance,
but then you got to have those role guys that
you've built up, you know, to help you win those

(57:54):
ballgames and win the championship. I don't disagree with that, Luke.
I'd agree with that, and yeah, absolutely and a world.
Here's here's the thing I would ask you, would you
rather watch Nick Foles play quarterback or Aaron Rodgers okay,
because Nick Foles was in the playoffs last year, Aaron
Rodgers was I'd rather watch Aaron Rodgers. You still would
rather see Aaron Rodgers. There's no doubt about it's star appeal,

(58:14):
like that's that's just that's the facts. It's about star appeal. Like, Luke,
are you an Alabama fan? Uh No, I'm actually I'm
stationed here in the military, so I don't associate myself
with those guys. Oh wow, look at that. I love it.
Good for you, Luke. Wait, wait, wait, stand apart from
the crowd. That's right, Luke. Thanks so hey, thanks for
your service, man, Thanks so much for your time. Thanks
appreciate it. Uh yeah, and look it is. It is

(58:37):
about stars. That's just a reality of sports. And if
you think that you're immune to it, you're not being
truthful with yourself. Dever is in North Carolina listening here
on Fox Sports Radio. Dever, what's happening? Thanks for taking
my call? Man, Yes, sir, you know, real quick, I
think the key is these teams need to promote their stars.
It's always been the problem with baseball. You look at Atlanta.

(58:57):
They got Ali Abi the role of Kunia and they're
playing them like a hundred and eighty million combined. And
they're big time stars. And it's the same thing you're
talking about Washington. They got Trade Turner, So those guys
are big time stars. They got to promote those guys,
and they're paying the way less money in their playoff contention.
Baseball needs to promote the stars, you know what, There's
no doubt about it. Do a better job, and they've

(59:17):
tried to. I've seen some commercials this past year. Yeah.
But the other problem that they don't have. This is
the other thing when they say the NBA does a
great job here, it is those guys are selling sneakers
that everybody can wear. You don't wear cleats now, so
you can't do that part of it. And the other
part is in the NBA, only three guys matter, so
you you know, all three stars on every team, right, yeah,

(59:39):
And because only three guys mat and baseball jerseys aren't
the most comfortable thing to wear. I mean, think about it.
Of all of all the if you had to wear
a jersey, baseball, baseball would probably last. And then baseball
kills everybody with the caps. Nobody wears an NFL cap, right, right,
and so so That's why. And people wonder, you know,
baseball comes out, they've got a brand new hat, They've
got this hat, they've got that hat, Memorial Day, all

(01:00:00):
that stuff, because that stuff sells man big time. Fox
Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.
Catch all of our shows at Fox Sports Radio dot
com and within the iHeartRadio app search f SR to
listen live. So Rob, you do owe him an IPA
at least find that. Yeah. By the way, he also
we had a bet he said, uh first drive for

(01:00:22):
Sam Darnold's career, he was said touchdown was it wasn't Touchdowy.
Yeah for the Lions. But again more more with that.
All right, it is the odd couple here on Fox
Sports Radio. He is Rob Parker. I'm Jonas Knox in
for Chris Brussard. Coming up in twelve minutes from now
here on Fox Sports Radio. We have got some shade

(01:00:44):
and trash talk in the NFL player to coach, quarterback
to coach, So we will have that for year, coming
up twelve minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio
right now. So I'm gonna let you set this up, okay,
because this is something you guys do everything a week here,
that's right, foul a fair? And this week Rod Allen,
former Major League Baseball player and analysts, is our man

(01:01:08):
in the seat? That ball is It was a big
week in the big league. Who's is it foul or
is it fair? And now here's the odd couple with
former MLB veteran Rod Allen, That is right, it is

(01:01:29):
fouler fair. Here on Fox Sports Radio with the couple
Christmas starring Rob Parker with Jonas Knox filling in Chrispruth Sard.
And of course we have to go to the bullpen
for one of our veterans, Rod Allen, what's up? Rod? Hey,
what's up? Falla's how you guys doing? Man? Jonas? What
he was up against today? Rob? Yeah, Jonas is ready.

(01:01:50):
He's ready for years. He thinks he thinks he is.
I've been getting a beating all all the show long,
so I'm used to it. Well, we'll find out real
quick if Jonas is ready, guys. But for the fans
out there, if you want to know how this segment works,
if the guys don't agree with one of the takes,
that is a foul ball. And if they do agree
with one of the takes. You'll hear it's a fair ball.

(01:02:10):
So let's get to it, guys. First question, After losing
Bryce Harper to Philadelphia, the Nationals were still able to
squeak into the playoffs with a wild card spot after
beating the Phillies last night. So Rod, my question to you,
is it foul or fair to say that the Nats
postseason success is crippled by the loss of Bryce Harper. No,

(01:02:32):
that's foul. That is a foul ball. I don't think
it's crippled by the fact that bright Harp. Bryce Harper
is not there in any shape or form. Bryce Harper
is obviously in Philadelphia. The Nationals got off to a
miserable start this year. They rallied, their pitching staff got hot.
They deserve all the credits in the world because a
lot of people left them for dead way back. When

(01:02:54):
I tend to agree with you, I'm gonna say foul.
That is a foul ball. It's gonna be just in
how this all works out and if they can. The
biggest problem with it with the Nationals for years is
that they always made the playoffs. They just couldn't advance
or they couldn't get there. So now if they go
and say they got the pitching and the bats are

(01:03:15):
on there, and people are gonna say, you know what,
it wasn't Bryce Harper. So there was a thing there.
But I don't think that that's going to be the
only reason why they should be looked at h and
think that they're going to be hampered because they do
have pitching. Yeah, it's a clean sweep. I think that's fine.
I mean, look, they've they've got the pitching staff to
do it. I give him credit to his point and

(01:03:36):
talking about this. I mean, they were at left for dead.
A lot of people they were done. Dave Martin is
gonna get fired. He was on the hot seat. And
this was a guy who was brought in because they
were tired of the Dusty Baker experience. Everybody threw Dusty
under the bus. So the fact that they rallied back,
and you can look at turning points in the season,
when Scherzer went out there and pitched with that broken
face after he took a foul ball off his beak,

(01:03:58):
the fact that he went out there to do that,
I think get turned around the season. I think they've
been a different ball club since Martinez still might be
on the hot seat. Dusky's on the hot seat because
he couldn't advance to the boat beats, stay too, Stay too.
That's a great point. Foulor fair? Fox Sports Radio the
couple with Christopher started, Rob Parker, Jonas Knox in for
christoperus start and our man Rod Allen. So besides the

(01:04:20):
Queen's sweet sleep there, guys, let's see uh number two.
The Diamondbacks walked off with a three two win over
the Cardinals and eleven innings or nineteen innings. The game
win a total of six hours and fifty three minutes
and ended at one thirty four am Local time. So, Rod,
I mean, is it fouler fair to say that baseball
definitely needs a tiebreaker? I think it's fair, and I

(01:04:45):
normally wouldn't say this. I can't believe quiet Baseball has
been doing a lot of different things to make sure
the players stay safe, to make sure the players stay
injury free, to make sure the players have the best
opportunity to be at their best on any given night.
When you play seven hours one night, then you come
back and you play at twelve o'clock the next day,

(01:05:07):
they probably didn't get to bed till five o'clock in
the morning. That's not good for the players. It's not
good for baseball. They're spending millions of dollars on these
players in the way that they eat, making sure they
get enough sleep. I get the fact that it's the
only game without o'clock, but you gotta do something different.
Everybody else's got something different to make the game stop
if it's stopped the game at midnight and start two

(01:05:28):
games the next day. But you can't play nineteen eighties
in play twelve o'clock the next day. It's foul. This
game has been played for one hundred and fifty years.
It doesn't happen every other week. It happens once every
eight seasons where there's some rough seven hour game. It doesn't.
It's it's not a constant. If this thing was happening

(01:05:48):
to two times or three times a week, then you
got to figure it out. Lead my game alone, Baseball
King of the World. It goes seventy five million people
buy tickets every year and every game's on TV. Nothing

(01:06:10):
I think. I think it's fair what I think, rabbit
and to you, Okay, so your rationale is it's been
the same way for one hundred years. All right, so everybody, yeah,
everybody take a horse and buggy to work tomorrow, all right,
forget your automobile, and nobody go fill up gas and
by the way, churn butter in your front yard. We're
all just gonna live amish. According to Rob Parker from
now on, it's ridiculous. They implemented this, and they tried

(01:06:31):
it out in the minor leagues to where they would
put a runner on second, Why are you gassing out
bullpens and running guys into the ground just because you
want to be too stubborn to say, hey, look, this
is a flaw. We've advanced past this. We've got to
get past this. It's too long. They don't even serve
booze past a seventh thinning. If I'm a if I'm
a fan in that crowd, I'm looking around, going, hey,

(01:06:52):
can I at least get like a bud light. I've
been here for seven hours. They cut off they use
last call already, they cut off food. It's boring. It
wears players down, it wears the fans down. The broadcasters
want to get the hell out of the booth. I'm
totally in agreement with Rod here. It's you know, I'll
give you one more thing. I'll give you one more
thing on this. If you're the Saint Louis Cardinals in
this game is played next year when you don't have

(01:07:15):
that many pieces in you're a bullpen and you're a
postseason team, just could put you behind the eight ball
the final week of the season. You just don't want that,
you know what, It's not cool. Then if you're to
manage it, and you tell the guy go out there
and throw a golfer ball and let's get out of here,
all right. If you want to do all out, that's
the yeah, groove a pitch, pitch all right, all right?

(01:07:36):
Fouler Fair, Fox Sports Radio with the odd couple. Last
one for you guys. Justin Verlander and Garrett Cole have
both pitched lights out for the Astros of this season.
Verlander does have a no hitter. But in a race
for the al Cy Young Award, is it foul or
fair to say that these two could and should split
the award this year? What do you got wrong? That

(01:08:00):
is a foul? Let him add up the numbers. I mean,
these guys have been spectacular. I mean you've got Cole
who is so dominant you've got Burlander at age thirty six,
who has reinvented himself. I mean, we haven't seen a
duel like this since Randy Johnson and Kurt Chilling back
in two thousand and two when they were one and
two in the cy Young race. So I don't know

(01:08:20):
how this is going to shake out. I had Garrett
winning the cy Young last year early. He didn't get it. Obviously,
Burlanders finished second a bunch of times. The one question
I have is whatever happened? And I really don't know
the story about a month ago Berlander didn't have somebody
coming to the clubhouse, one of those reporters. I know,
those guys trying to stick close together. I just don't
have any I don't know if it's gonna have any

(01:08:42):
way on the vote at all, but I just know
it is so close. I'm gonna jump in and tell
you that it doesn't weigh in. And here's the region.
Why are you ready? Barry Bonds did not like the
media and never did anything nice for us. But you
know what, he won seven MVPs and we voted for
him all seven times. I think it's foul as well.
That is a foul ball. I stopped riding the fence.

(01:09:04):
Don't be like Rob Parker over here. Pick a side
and come, come with hot and have some conviction with
what you believe in. You either believe one guy is
a cy Young or the other guy's a cy Young.
Stop being lazy, Stop being sensitive to the pushback you
might get on social media. Pick a side, pick a lane,
and move on with your life. Hey, Jonas, we got
we finally agree. Who are you picking out of those two?

(01:09:25):
Are you picking Berlin or Cole? Garrett Cole? Okay, talkes
up for me. I got who and I'm gonna say
it's foul as well. That is a foul ball. I'm sorry.
The bottom line is, pick somebody. Somebody was better. Crunch
the numbers, and I would pick Garrett Cole even though
berlind a no hitter and Berland are the numbers are identical,
Roger one hundred percent right. But I would go with Cole.

(01:09:48):
And that's why are you going with Cole? Rod wants
to know why are you going with Cole? Oh? I'm
just uh, well, he's gotten way more strikeouts, He's only
got one. He's got one less loss. Verlin has one
more win. It's very close, but and Verlin as a
no hitter. But I think Cole was dominant, like what's
been unbelievable for them, And I think he's the one

(01:10:11):
who's done something that we weren't totally expecting this year.
All Right, appreciate it. Rod, there it is. That was
a Fowler fair here on Fox Sports Radio. That was
fun with that, all right. He's Rob Parker. I'm Jonas
knox In for Crisperusars from the Geico Fox Sports Radio
Studios where it's easy to say fifteen percent of more

(01:10:31):
on car insurance with Geico. Good a guy Goo dot
Comical eight hundred nine seven Auto. The only hard part
figuring out which way is easier. Up next, we have
got some trash talk. Oh man, We've got some shade.
We have got some hate between a quarterback and a
head coach. You will hear it next year on Fox
Sports Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk

(01:10:51):
lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at
Fox Sports Radio dot com and within the iHeart Radio
app search f s art to listen live. It is
the odd couple here on Fox Sports Radio. He is
Rob Parker. I'm Jonas knox In for Chris Brussard coming
up in about ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio. Um,

(01:11:13):
I'm not saying that it's an excuse, but somebody in
the NFL has come up with yet another reason for
their whereabouts. So we will have that for you here
about ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio. So.
I don't know if you're familiar with this gentleman, but
there used to be a coach in the NFL and
he had a foot fetish. His name is Rex Ryan. Yes,
I do remember that guy, right, Yeah, he was the

(01:11:35):
I mean, I don't look I far be it for
me to point out anybody else's fetish. But he really
really was in defeat, Okay, really was, and um, but
he had some comments was the agony of defeat. Yeah, Jesus,
that's the worst joke you've ever told on the Okay,
that is the worst. Like, that's the worst joke you've

(01:11:56):
ever told. The plateau of bad Joe. Wow. I mean
you you went from Dave Chappelle to Carrot Toime. Wow.
One joke that was bad? Yeah, that was bad. Please. So,
So Rex Ryan's now an analyst for ESPN, and he
was talking about Baker Mayfield and amongst some of the

(01:12:19):
criticism and critiques of the Cleveland Browns. He said, quote,
I know Baker Mayfield is overrated as hell end quote.
Baker Mayfield heard about those comments from Rex Ryan and
he had this to say earlier. So whatever, In the
wise words of Freddie Hitchens, if you don't wear orange
and brown, you don't matter. And Rex Ryan doesn't have
any colors right now for a reason. So it's okay.

(01:12:42):
So there's that. You know what, Hey, Baker can be Baker,
and I've heard that. Just let him. He's gonna be
who he wants to be. You don't have to comment everybody.
Rex Ryan's job is as an analyst to give his
opinion on what's going on, and you know, you don't
need to answer to everybody, just like you wouldn't go
around every time somebody praised you and go that. Rob

(01:13:02):
Park is the smartest analyst on television about the end.
He doesn't do that. And you know what, I don't
do that. I give Rex Ryan credit because you know
a lot of those guys are are not not afraid,
but they're hesitant to want to be critical. I agree.
A former player of players or other people in the
league because they still got relationships and Rex Ryan wasn't
He didn't sugarcoat it. He called it out is And

(01:13:23):
that's why Rex Ryan's good at his gig. Right. It's
not a personal thing. He thinks you're overrated and all
you gotta do is go out and prove it. And
it's look, you've seen some of the stuff people will
tweet me that is just over the top. I mean,
you name it. I've been insulted. I never ever take
offense to it because I realize that's just part of
the gig. You know what I've been through. If I

(01:13:44):
would have showed you the stuff that I've seen heard
all the other stuff, man, that's fine. I can't imagine why,
why and when it happened, I just say, hey, thanks
for listening, Oh thanks for watching. I'm not going to
go back at you. It's also part of what's It's
maybe not the most ideal thing. And nobody wants to
hear that either they're overrated or they're terrible at their job.

(01:14:06):
But you know that that's part of what happens. Baker
Mayfield's issue is he can't hear a negative comment without
feeling like he's got to respond. When a guy from
Kansas doesn't shake his hand, he decides to grab his
crotch on National TV, which is fine. I think it's
more of an insult to not shake somebody's hand than
it is to grab somebody's crotch me personally, But at

(01:14:27):
some point he's just gotta whatever. I mean, people are
gonna talk, They're gonna talk. And I also think maybe
part of the reason why it bothers him is because
he has struggled this year. So all right, it is
the odd couple here on Fox Sports Radio. We've got
more out of the NFL stick and stay America. Fox
Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.

(01:14:48):
Catch all of our shows at Fox Sports Radio dot

It is the odd couple Fox Sports Radio. On a

What a show we've talked about so many different things,
NFL Packers, major League Baseball, not a couple of guests.

(01:15:32):
It's been good and a stunning development. During the break,
we walked to the liquor store, which is just maybe
a block up, not not very far at all, in
between breaks, and for the first time stop it in
the history of me being near Rob Parker in a
public setting, he was not stopped and recognized and asked

(01:15:52):
to take a picture. Was unbelievable. It was ridiculous. We
sat next to each other at a that a Clippers
of Lakers game, Clippers Clippers Clippers game, and during the
intermission or no, it was it, yeah, halftime or whatever,
we got up, yeah, halftime. We went out to the concourse, right,
and we're kind of standing around because you wanted to

(01:16:14):
get a beer. I'm like, I just like, I'm here
just to get a water. And it was ridic Alex
if I tell you, it was like I paid people
to come up and take pictures, and and poor Jonas
was the one, can you get a picture? Can you
take a picture for us? How many pictures to take?
Three or four? Oh? It was yeah, something like that.

(01:16:36):
And then you got embarrassed because I got down on
one knee and said, sir, sir, your soda, sir, because
it was ridiculous. We couldn't even you want to know
how non recognizable I am. This is this is the
true story. So I was on going Rogan in Los
Angeles and so Fred will have us on and you've
been on it several times. And Fred's one of the

(01:16:58):
greats and sores been Locals sportscaster at KNBC for forty years.
I was on television at a place. There were two
televisions going and it was me on the screen at
both of them while I was inside the building, and
nobody recognized. No, I was standing at all time, and
I'm like and they were like, they were like, can

(01:17:19):
we help you? Help? You know, like can you go
clean table thirteen? Okay, you got it? Like nobody but
you walk around and it's ridiculous, like being with Elvis. No,
it's like being an old guy's been on TV for
a long time, that's all it is. Yeah, you're very
popular though, but it's like they say, the great and
powerful Rob Parker, the great and power Parker, Rob Parker.

(01:17:40):
That's right, all right, So, um, I don't want to
ask you that. And I don't mean to dive into
your dating history. Yes, but I think everybody can agree
on this. How many excuses before you start to get
the hint that somebody just doesn't want to be around
you anymore? Like? How many is it? Like? Does it
take like more than one? Does it take more? Now
that I'm older, yeah, I'm older, I could spot it

(01:18:01):
right away, the first signal that, like there's gonna be
an issue or there's a question about getting together, or
the first one I'm done. Okay, So so you don't
have to worry about it once I say hey about
getting together or doing something and one flake. Yeah, I'm
flake free except for Dan, Dan, I'm flake free. I

(01:18:25):
told you, man, don't don't buy shampoo at the No, No,
that never finishing product. I agree. I mean it's it's
basically like, uh, you know, minced with water. No. I
agree that that you can't be cheap. They take they
take CERTs, they grind them down, they pour water in it,
and then they put it in a shampoo bottle and
say fresh as new. I get at it's just disgusting.

(01:18:46):
But but but but yeah, So now when I was younger,
probably a little bit more and I would make excuses
for them, yeah, you know, for why they're kind of
flaking out on me. But now one and done. That's
so let me just let's pretend that you're dating somebody
and I'm going to read off some excuses, and I

(01:19:06):
want you to just tell me your level of concern
with what you are hearing. So, say, say somebody tells
you the first time they're kind of having second thoughts
about wanting to be committed to you, all right, you
would be concerned, correct, Like if it happened about a
week once you say that you I'm done. Yeah, I'm
not kind of gone, okay, but your younger years, it

(01:19:27):
would be more willing to maybe, okay, well, what is
there any you know, can we work on this? Okay?
So there was that, um, and then if what if
like a few days later, you guys were supposed to
hang out and they called in sick and said they
couldn't hang out because you're sick, Like if that happened?
There was there was that, and then like what if
like a couple of days after that, the sickness then

(01:19:49):
turned to you know, I'm just I'm not feeling it's
my back is killing me and it's my my hamstrings,
and so they couldn't hang out again. And then all
of a sudden, like another day later, it came mouth
that that they just needed some time away because they've
got to tend to another issue. Um, what you've just
heard are the list of excuses that Jalen Ramsey has

(01:20:10):
just given the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yeah. The latest is, uh,
he's expecting the birth of his second child and so
he's going to be away from the team for the
time being. Yeah, so, which is which I'm sure he's
not faking that he's having. But but let me tell you,
most people when they have babies still have to go
to work. Somebody has to go to work. And you're

(01:20:30):
a professional football player, which is what you signed up for.
Not that you shouldn't be there at the birth of
your child or something like that, but taking off of
work prior to the baby actually coming, yes, makes no sense. Look,
I I get and I was on the side of
I think there's more to the him being sick or
the injury. And I actually bought it at face value,

(01:20:52):
and I took it at face value for this reason.
At the beginning. Yeah, Jalen Ramsey wanted a trade. He
demanded a trade. He doesn't like Tom Coughlin. That's the
story here, and with good reasons. Okay, Tom Coflin's a
hard guy to get along and if it wasn't for
those Super Bowls that he won with Eli, Uh, he
probably would have been out of football a long time ago.
He rubs guys the wrong one. Do you think Tom

(01:21:12):
Coughlin's a better coach than Bill Belichick? Do you, Rob?
I don't know, it's uh. Do you have the other
team defensive signals or not? I'm just asking, Well, I
was just asking because you said that Eli Manning was
better than Tom Brady because he beat him twice. I
say that. I just I was wondering. I'm just saying,
I'm just wondering what I was just wondering what you know.

(01:21:33):
I just said in a big moment, a clutch moment,
I'd rather have Eli. But but that being said in
all seriousness, So he doesn't get along with with Tom Coflin.
He doesn't really like Tom Coplin. He demands a trade
after there's an incident that's caught on the sideline with
with Doug Marrone, which look coaches yell players all the time,
it's not a big deal. Um, And he even said
recently that it wasn't really that big of a deal.

(01:21:55):
It happens in my issue is more with ownership in
the front office, or more at the front office rather.
So then he comes back and he plays after demanding
a trade on a short week. So the fact that
he actually showed up and played, I gave him credit
because I said, look, it's a short week. He's got
every reason to not want to come back around and play,
but he did. And then he gets extended rest this week,

(01:22:20):
he calls out sick. Then it's his hamstrings, and now
it's his daughter that the birth of his second child
that's coming up. This reeks to me of a guy
who thought maybe there was some sort of a deal
that was going to take place, and once he found
out from ownership or somebody that it just wasn't going
to happen. Now he's really stepping on the gas and

(01:22:42):
he just doesn't want to be there. I blame U Jacksonville.
I just do. Dude. He's already given you the signals.
He told you I don't want to be there. I've
always been I've always been this guy. I don't want
somebody who doesn't want to be here, right right, Yeah,
I'm not going to convince a rule that a woman
that she should be with me if she doesn't want

(01:23:03):
to be I might be I might be disappointed or
heartbroken in the beginning, but ultimately, if you don't want
to be with me, I don't want to force you
into that situation. I want you to be here because
because you want to be here, and I want to
be here because I want to be here. So so
once somebody says that they're route or they're not interested,
I'm done. I'm done. I just no matter how much

(01:23:25):
I might be into the situation or her or whatever,
I'm just I'm done. Here's the thing that I'll give
Jalen Ramsey credit for. And a lot of people look
at him and say, well, you know, this is troublesome
and he's a me guy, and he's this and this.
You know what, man, he showed up to training camp
on time. Yes, it was in the back of a
Brinks truck, but he didn't hold out. Zeke went to Cabo,

(01:23:45):
his own teammate Jannick and Gockway. It's something wrong against
the Brinks truck. No, there's nothing wrong with it at all,
But he was there, So I think this is more
about maybe Jalen Ramsey thought that they had an understanding
that they were going to try and work together on
a deal, which is why he showed up. And then
once he found out that they just didn't want to
play ball, he started to pull back more and more

(01:24:06):
because maybe he got an indication from the from the
Jaguars that they were going to get something done. And
so now let's reached this point to where he just
doesn't want to be there. He he wants to be away.
I think Jacksonville and I blame Jacksonville, and you're blaming
him because they're basically enabling Jalen Ramsey. Y, well, I
don't remember the last time. You gotta tell me when
a football player calls in sick, I blame Don't they

(01:24:30):
have team doctors. You gotta like drag yourself in there
and have them work on you, have them send you
home right after the doctor valuates you and says this
guy has one hundred and three feet were needs to
be home and in bed. I get that. Yeah, they should.
They should have had a deal done already, is my point.
I mean, if the whole goal in the NFL is

(01:24:51):
and every team in the NFL wants to build through
the draft. You want to build through the draft because
financially it makes the most sense. You found a guy
in the draft who's a stunt He's played really well,
although his numbers have been down a little bit. It
makes you wonder what was the hesitation in getting him
a deal. This feels like Tom Coughlin versus Jalen Ramsey
is the reason Jalen Ramsey is not showing up to

(01:25:12):
work because one his back hurt, the other was an illness,
and now it's the birth of a child. So if
they're not going to move on from Tom Coughlin, what's
the plan? I mean, is he just gonna stay away?
Are you just are you gonna find like this? This
is what happens when owners fall in love with with
the like people who don't play. Sorry, I'm always picking

(01:25:34):
players over executives and coaches because that ultimately that's going
to win. And I get it. He comes in, he
has an impressor resume, won two Super Bowls in New York,
blah blah blah. He knows what he's doing right, was
in the Jaguars organization early on was their first head
coach and they went to the playoff. You remember, but
back then, remember they had they had unlimited money when

(01:25:56):
they first started. They realized they made a mistake. You
remember the first team, Both both teams were in like
the AFC title game, first or second year Carolina lost
to Green Bay. Jacksonville lost in the AC title game
as well too. Yeah, I mean they've had a big
advantage against the other team. I just the whole the
idea that, and I again, I was on board with

(01:26:17):
the fact that I think there was really something going
on with him, just because if he was, if he
showed up to work on a short week, why would
he all of a sudden just not show up to work.
So I bought into the whole, Well, he's not feeling well.
But now when you go this MANI excuses deep. Just
let's take a step back and just be honest. He
doesn't want to be there, right, He's done. So it's
it's super obvious. And at some point if you're if

(01:26:39):
you're Jacksonville, you gotta say we're not no, no, no,
this is unacceptable. When when your baby comes, you'll have
time off, but you can't take time off before the
baby gets in, unless there's some complication or something. And
I get that I don't know, and I'll be the
first one I do not know. If there's some sort
of issue, medical issue or complication, that's totally different. What

(01:27:00):
if you're just telling me while the baby's coming so
I'm just gonna I'm not I'm gonna miss this week
because the baby's coming away. So so he's now put
you in a difficult And here's the other part of
this that that I don't understand when players do this,
and I didn't understand it when Anthony Davis did it.
When you go out publicly and you give away all
the leverage from your current organization in any sort of

(01:27:23):
a deal, but makes trading you that much more difficult.
It made trading Anthony Davis that much more difficult because
him and his dad shot their mouths off and started
talking about films they won't go to exactly, so right
away to trade value goes down. You know what the
perfect example is is you want to do it the
way that Nicks did with poor zingis remember out of

(01:27:44):
nowhere super Bowl week? No clue, no clue? Remember that week? Yep, Dad,
no clue. It was no week and it was done.
When the Patriots traded Garoppolo, I was just done. It
was around Halloween and he was just gone. And that's
what I'm talking about, dude. That's how you do it.
Will you pick up the phone and say, hey, you
still want him? And then the boom it happened. I
just think if he if the ultimate goal is he

(01:28:06):
wants to be traded away, don't give away your team
any leverage they have. If if you want to get
the hell out of there, work with them so you
can can find an exit strategy. Him not showing up
because of the birth of his child, isn't working with
them and them enabling him this whole time and just
not being more proactive about what the situation is. Is
it Jacksonville problem as well too. I think they're screwed.

(01:28:27):
I think they're in a really tough spot. So it's awful.
But that's your guy, Jalen Ramsey, that's your guy. That's
your guy, Jalen Ramsey. Oh, it is the odd couple
here on Fox Sports Radio. He is Rob Parker. I'm
Jonas knoxing for Chris Bruce. I'll telephone number eight seven
seven ninety nine. On Fox or eight seven, seven, nine, nine,

(01:28:49):
do you do? Do you just shut them down? Do
you suspend them for not coming in? Do you tell
him either you get here or you're not going to
get paid anymore because you're because you need to be here. Yeah,
this is your job and we will take except no
more excuses. And also you will be shocked to find
out who Rob Parker thinks is the best team in
the NFL. Stunned. They will be stunned and aggravated and shocked.

(01:29:15):
Number one. Yeah, unbelievable. So we'll get to that next
as well too. Here it is the odd couple here
on Fox Sports Radio. He's Rob Parker, I'm Jonas Knox

talking about, and whether or not what if you're the Jaguars?

(01:30:25):
What would you do? What I mean, he's calling in sick.
He's got every excuse in the book. He already demanded
a trade. But what would you do if you were
the Jaguars? Patrick in North Carolina, your first up on
the odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. What you got hey?
Jonas Raw? Happy hump Day too? Yea thank you buy
too Listen. I'm just I'm just, you know, sitting here

(01:30:47):
listening to you guys, and I won't give a quick
thing out while I know why Jonas is not there tonight.
Chris got so upset the other night with you, Rob,
I thought he was gonna bust a blood vessel in
his head. And he's just recouping from the high blood
pressure that you cost him the other night. You know
what he's like. He's like Jason Ramsey. He called in today,

(01:31:10):
coming in. Patrick. You figured it out. I got it.
You figured it out. You know what I mean. When
you lay that wood to somebody once in a while,
you know they have no choice but the back down
we're talking about here, Jesus by way by Patrick, what
were they what were they fighting about? It was, Oh,
it was a conversation about Antonio Brown and the New

(01:31:32):
England Patriots, like we haven't heard enough of it. And
this was just crying and crying, and Rob just laid
the wood and he got so upset he had to
call in. Sick man, I'm flexing right now. All right,
what's your Jenlen Ramsey? All we lost him? All right?
Mark and Jacksonville right to the source. Ye, you're in
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What you got Mark? Matter? Dude?

(01:31:54):
Things one. First of all, I've been listening to Theories
for a couple of months, enjoyed the shows the first time,
called them blowing a range here and duve all wanted
to touch on a couple of things. Well, first, I
want to say thank you so much for the support. Man.
I'm glad, thank you, and I appreciate you calling in
when I'm on the show. I gotta say it with
it tend dude. But but yo, so so first of

(01:32:20):
all the time and everything. I will be completely honest
with you. It sucks in terms of the whole blow
up on the sidelines and then him being sick and
then the birth of his child. But let's let's break
these things down. Number one, if you really go back
and look at the video when he was coming off
the field and suppose that punch that happened, it really
wasn't a punch. It was more like, man, get this man,

(01:32:42):
not my face. And then after he went to the bench,
whatever coach said when he walked over to him was
so engregious that not only Jalen bodies just to change
everyone else around him stood up on like yo, yo,
yo yo. You can't say that. So I'm not saying
that you should ever punch balls through anything. No, you
can't do that. Mark. You know that. I understand what

(01:33:04):
you're saying. But whatever that man said to him and
not only affected Daylan but everyone else around him. See,
I don't okay, Okay, but Mark, let me ask you this,
do you think do you think Jalen Ramsey's problem is
more with um Doug marrone or more with Tom Coughlin,
Because it feels like a Coughlin issue with Coughlin. And

(01:33:25):
let break down. If you go back and look at
the draft class that Daylan Ramsey would drafted, the majority
of the individuals would drafted around him have got extensive
off their rookie contract. Yeah, and we can all we
can all argue the fact that Dayla Ramby is be
Ben Corner in the league. So why would you not
pay right person? And Mark, you should always pay people produce.

(01:33:46):
I totally agree, Thanks for the call, Thanks for the support.
I agree too. I think the problem is right, Donna,
I agree, you just pay people play. Well, here's okay,
here's the other the other part about all this. And
you can ask any executive in the NFL and they'll
tell you the best players in the NFL when when
teams go crazy during free agency, they'll always tell you
the best players in the NFL never become free agents ever. Right,

(01:34:10):
That's why, Look, say whatever you want about about Kirk Cousins,
but when Kirk Cousins was sitting there. The Washington never
believed in him because they drafted him. Don't forget it
was drafted the same year in the same draft as three.
They watched every snap right, yep, and they and they
never wanted to pay that. The reason that Kirk Cousins

(01:34:33):
ended up in Washington is because it was the Shanahans
who wanted him. Okay, It's why everybody's keeping a close
eye on Kirk Cousins in Minnesota and how Garoppolo performs
in San fran because the feeling is Kyle Shanahan would
rather work with Kirk Cousins because they had success there.
So that being said, and bringing it back to Jalen Ramsey,
if he's this great and you really wanted him to

(01:34:56):
be a part of the team, you would have already
had a contract done. So if you don't have a
contract done and now he's not showing up to work,
really you don't have a whole lot of options here
other than you've got to find a trade partner. But
Jalen Ramsey also isn't helping them and their leverage because
he's not showing up to work. So he's making it
clear I don't want to be a part of this
team anymore, which means they're going to get low ball

(01:35:17):
offers from other teams around them, and it makes it
harder to make a deal tooth paces out of the two. Basically, Hey,
Jason and Fort Myers joined the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up Jason? Hey guys, how are you
doing um? First of all, I wanted to say that Jonas,
you do a great job whenever you're on this show,
so I wanted to love I'm just reading off. I'm

(01:35:38):
reading off the prompter to type up pretty much. But
I'm down here in Florida and I've been a Jaguars
fan and since the team was created, and I wanted
to also let you guys know a little bit of
news that the jack. The coach, Doug maronas released the
statement saying that him and Jalen had spoke about his

(01:36:03):
child being born in late September prior to the season start,
and that he does look and that Jalen will return
to the team whenever he's ready, and that Jalen's agent
actually retweeted that statement, thanking coach Marone for coming out
and letting people know because I do think the media
has and not not letting you not you guys, but

(01:36:23):
I do think everybody's kind of jumped on Jalen a
little bit. And you know what, Jason, those are good,
that's good information, especially coming off to calling in sick
and the other stuff. So you look like it looks
like he's just deciding that he doesn't want to be there. Yeah.
So so without that information, it does change it, doesn't it?
You buying that? Well? If he says it, I think
you think do you think the coach is going with that?

(01:36:44):
I mean, I'm just asking this. Feels like both sides
got together and said, look, we realize what's happening here.
You don't want to be a part of the organization anymore.
We understand it, and it feels like for the best
dent of a deal getting done, work with us here,
Let's work together, let's put out a statement. Let's I'm

(01:37:06):
not shooting it down completely, but I would be more
inclined to believe that they got together, had a conversation
and said all right, let's let's play nice here publicly
so it can kind of help us fast track a
deal to get done. Be sure to catch live editions
of the Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker
weekdays at seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific. All right,
it is the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio, Rob

(01:37:28):
Parker Jonas stocks In for Chris Broussard, coming to you
live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. It's easy
to say fifteen percent of more consurance with Geico, So
go to Geico dot com or call eight hundred nine
four seven Auto. The only hard part is figuring out
which is easier. And you know what time it is,

(01:37:48):
damn son temperature beyond. Couple are making it hot in here.
Damn time to sit your butt down in the hot seat.
That is right, It is the hot seat with the
dynamic duo, the tag team champions of the World, Rob
Parker and Chris Brussard. And even though Chris Brussar needed

(01:38:09):
to take a quick sabbatical, he needed a day off
just like uh, I guess you could say Jalen Ramsey
with a little bit of a hurt back. We have
Jonas Knocks in with him today and stepping into the
ring to take on the dual team is actually none
other than our brother on the weekends, George reister, George,
how you doing, my man? Man? I'm doing good man.
I've been hearing about this, been prepping all day. I'm

(01:38:31):
ready to go. I got me, I got my boxing
glove zone and everything. Whoa, I just hope you ordered
some some some some coco coco butter and all kinds
of stuff. You got some gauzes and everything, because you're
gonna be kind of burnt up when it's all done.
Some gauzes. Man, Hey, Hey, I hope y'all got some

(01:38:52):
extra in twill open are? You don't need him, So
just let everybody know how this works. We have George
sitting in the hot seat to take on the Dynamic
Duo with three of his hottest takes, and at the
end of it, we'll decide who the winner is. So, George,
your first hottest take in the night is you said
that there is a zero percent chance that James Harden

(01:39:12):
and Russell Westbrook's marriage and Houston will end well. You
have thirty seconds defender case do it won't end well
for four reasons. First of all, James Harden, you think
all of a sudden he's gonna participate in the offense
when he doesn't have the ball. He didn't do it
with Chris Paul is not happening now. Westbrook's three point

(01:39:35):
shooting rate of players who've taken at least twenty five
hundred three pointers, he's the worst of all time. You
think there's gonna work in Dan Tony's system. No, And
both of those guys rank number one and two in
the NBA in usage rate. That means that every time
that they have the ball, like forty percent at a time,
they end in a shot, a turnover, or a free throw.

(01:39:56):
That means nobody else can touch the ball. And the
lasting a minute, You're done, You're done, to go, he's
hitting after the bell. Ref You're gonna do something about this?
I'm now, look, well they does it result in them
winning a championship? I would bet against them winning a championship.
But the idea that it is just going to be
a complete and total failure, I don't buy. I don't

(01:40:17):
think Chris Paul and James Harden was a complete and
total failure and those guys couldn't stand each other. I
think these guys like each other. I think there it's
gonna be a fun team to watch. I think James
Harden feels the pressure is on. He understands it's all
about titles in the NBA. I think he's gonna play
nice with a guy that he respects and enjoys working with.
I don't think it's gonna be a total flop. I
think they're going to have some success there in Houston.

(01:40:42):
I don't need extra time, George, go ahead. If it
does not end in a championship, it is a total failure.
You think Daryl Morey, if the GM wants anything but
a title. He's been losing to the Warriors every single year,
and you think he's just gonna be happy with success.
James Harden is gonna be the laughing stock again because
he's gonna go People are gonna say he doesn't have it,

(01:41:04):
he's not a winner, he chokes. And if they don't
win a championship, there is no way that this ends
well because they're gonna be bitter, upset, and James Hurt's
gonna get the club again before right after the ball
And I'm reading this paper really close. Okay, former NFL

(01:41:26):
tight end because he sounds like a tight end talking
about basketball. Come on, George, what are you talking about?
You said a zero percentian zero I'll give it to you.
I'll expect them to win a championship. But these are
two talented players, and Jonas is right. They were an
injury away from upsetting the Golden State Warriors, and Chris

(01:41:49):
Ball didn't fit perfectly. He didn't fit Willie with them.
Russell Westbrook is a baller. He's a good player, a
really good player. The odd couple coming in swinging, and
since it was George first's time in the ring there,
I'm not gonna dock any points from him because he
didn't know. He couldn't swing totally after the bell, but
he got clawber. The first round goes to the odd man.

(01:42:12):
The rabbit punches and let me, let me rub some
butter on his back. All right, hold on, hold on,
we still got two more. That's right. It's Wednesday, that's right.
So now for his second hottest takes, George says that
Patrick Mahomes is better than Aaron Rodgers was is and
will ever be. George, you have thirty seconds defend your take.

(01:42:34):
Last season, Patrick Mahomes through fifty touchdown passes tie for
second most in NFL history. He's one of only seven
quarterbacks to exceed five thousand yards passing in a single season,
and no quarterback who's ever thrown forty touchdown pass it
has ever thrown more than next year. He's on pace
for fifty three touchdowns, sixty three hundred yards. He doesn't

(01:42:57):
throw interceptions, and he's a winner. His teammate, he's like him.
He's not beating with the coach he is. We thought
that Aaron Rodgers was the most talented quarterback that we've
ever seen arm talent, accuracy, but Patrick Mahomes is blowing
that out of the water in only twenty games. Always
a prisoner of the moment. You sound like Ron Jawarski,
who after a season told us that Colin Kaepernick was

(01:43:20):
gonna be the greatest quarterback who ever played. And I
hate to break it to you, but Dan Marino throwing
his rookie year forty eight touchdowns, right, and they didn't
even throw the ball that much as they do. They're
throwing every down. Now, that's why his numbers are inflated, stopping.
He's not gonna be the greatest quarterback and he's not
better than Aaron Rodgers. Rogers won a Super Bowl. This

(01:43:41):
guy lost at home in the AFC title game. Get
him Rodgers won a super Bowl, but in only his
second year, we're talking about Patrick Mahomes. He's going to
win a Super Bowl, probably win more than one. He's
got a better coach than Aaron Rodgers did. Imagine if
a guy like Bill Belichick what he did with Tom Brady,

(01:44:02):
who is a poor athlete and thrower compared to Patrick Mahomes.
Even though he's I hear a lot of probably he's
in there. The hell man, Aaron Rodgers has done this
for extended time. Patrick Mahomes has had a cup of
coffee in the NFL don't see you wrong? Yeah, and
a sweet roll, and don't get me wrong, both were delicious.
He looked fantastic. I love Patrick Mahomes, but can the

(01:44:23):
guy actually deliver in the postseason like Aaron Rodgers didn't
bring a Super Bowl. I need to see more than
what I've seen from Patrick Mahomes To all of a
sudden bump Aaron Rodgers out of the conversation. I mean,
using that rationale, Nick Foles is better than Dan Marino
because he won a Super Bowl. I mean, come on,
you know the ot couple camp swinging again. But there
was a lot of emotions in that one. I'm going

(01:44:43):
with George with are you kidding? And it comes down
to the last take of them all, Rob you know
what that's in minus a point for the ot cups.
Come on, George and the lead here, so going to
the last time by far his hottest take of all.

(01:45:05):
George says USC won't return to glory until they do
rights by Reggie Bush, even if that means fighting in
the NC Double A. George, you got thirty seconds lay
your case. The end of Reggie Bush is one of
the greatest college football players of all time. They took
away wins, took away a national championship. Even though we

(01:45:27):
all saw it, they can't erase it from our memories.
And USC took his jersey away because the NC Double
a pressure through to do. It's threatening him with a
permanent band and USC needs to fight that. You have
to fight for your family, fight for your history, and
fight for your legacy. And if you don't do that,
I'm telling you it's like the color purple. Like Miss
Ceely said, till you do right by me, everything you

(01:45:50):
touched will turn back. Reggie Bush has got nothing to
do with the fact that they play in a dump
for a stadium. He's got nothing to do with the
fact that they hired a coach a later fire on
the tarmac, and he's got nothing to do with the
fact that they hired a drunk as he showed up
to a PEP rally fifth of Jack Daniels Deep and
started giving shoutouts on the mic like he was cutting
a promo and a professional wrestling organization. He's got nothing

(01:46:14):
to do with that. USC's a bad program because they
make bad choices and bad decisions. Reggie Bush not the
most ideal decision and move they've made, but it's got
nothing to do with the product all the field. You
are completely wrong. And there is a time in history
of where we've seen this work. Chris Webber at Michigan,
he was even indicted on five charges, including obstruction of

(01:46:35):
justice and line to a federal grand jury, and then
Cuba only made them disassociate for ten years. Michigan fought
against it. And now Chris Webber is back at Michigan.
And what Michigan's basketball team is having a resurgence, you
will see the same thing at USC play. It will
be like a magic cloud coming over USC. They will
do right. They will win again. And this program will

(01:46:58):
return to glory and everybody till I'm sorry, Reggie, he
got caught with his hands in the cookie jar. All right,
the school let that's what they have to do. Those
are things called rules. I get it. And if everybody's
doing it, everybody doesn't get caught. When you get caught,
you have to face the music. So USC has the
distance himself. That's what they do. Otherwise they make the

(01:47:21):
NCAA irrelevant. You gotta follow the rules. Reggie didn't, USC didn't.
They gotta pay the price. And maybe as time goes
on it will love, they'll heal up or whatever. But
for right now, too soon, brother, it's just too soon.
Wrap that belt around our waist, Wrap that belt around
our waist. Well, I have to say, George came in swinging.

(01:47:43):
He fought with all of his might. He even dropped
a miss ceely colored purple reference. But you have to
see why the odd couple and they win this round
of the hot sea. Yea, yes, Hey George, you you got,
you got, rep you got We're doing. I'm over here

(01:48:07):
picking his app from Hey George, thank you so much
for joining us. And you can catch him co hosting
on Fox Sports Radio on Fox Football Sunday with Mike
Carmen every Sunday from six to eight am Pacific time.
All right, George, appreciate it the ambulance to be at
your house pretty soon. Oh, no problem, Hi, very nice.

(01:48:29):
It was great. All right, A couple of Fox Sports Radio.
You got a bone to pick with me? Yeah? I
mean you are You are such a hypocrite, all right here,
such a hypocrite? Is that coming up night? That's coming up? Now?
All right? I couple of Fox Sports Radio. Stick and
Stay America, Stick and Stay America. Fox Sports Radio has
the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all

(01:48:51):
of our shows at Fox Sports Radio dot com and
within the iHeart Radio app search f s R to
listen live. Let's the couple Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker,
Jonas Knox in for Chris Broussard. Jonas will be back
now we need Jonas because he'll be back tomorrow as well,
and then Chris will be back on Friday. So Jonas

(01:49:14):
again tomorrow, Chris on Friday. And what what's the bone
you gotta pick with me? Well, here's what's the problem here.
So we were having a discussion during one of the breaks,
and I can tell it it was going to be
such a good discussion. Why waste it during a break,
Let's save it for on the air. And you were
talking about your philosophy when it comes to movie theaters
and when you go to a movie theater. When's the

(01:49:36):
last time you bought popcorn in a movie theater? I
don't a decade. I just can't do it. Well, okay,
now why can't you do it? Because it's just the
principal of it. I can't pay what is a thing
of popcorn costs fifteen fourteen ninety nine for a tub
of popcorn that first of all costs eight cents? Yeah,
and you know I love the butter, I love hot popcorn,

(01:49:59):
I love the whole thing. I just can't do it. Yeah,
it's not that I don't have the money. Yeah, here's uh,
here is where where I'm gonna call you on it.
It has nothing to do. And you may feel strongly
that you don't want to pay that money for popcorn,
Yet you'll go to a baseball game and you'll pay
ten dollars for a hot dog that looks like they

(01:50:19):
pulled it off a cadaver in an operating room somewhere
looking like a hot dog on a ball. Okay, but
you'll pay for the hot dog, but you won't pay
for popcorn. Popcorn costs eight cents? Do those to give
you with the kernels? How much does it cost? The
mark up as a gazillion? Hey, okay, but but it's
not about what do you care what they paid for it?

(01:50:40):
Because at least with a hot dog, I feel like
I'm getting one hundred percent beef. There's a bun, there's condiments.
I feel like I'm paying for some those. But I
gotta know you what I'm telling you to pay that

(01:51:03):
much money, I just can't like someone at the big
tubs are like fourteen ninety nine. I'm not paying. They're
not that bad. They're like six seven bucks, seven bucks.
They're not They're not that bad. Okay, So then you
would you just don't eat at all when you're in
a movie theater. No, I'll go to the dollars store,
like nine bucks at the movies. Man, I'll bring in,
so you'll go to the dollars store. I'm bringing some chocolate.

(01:51:26):
You're gonna pay not eight dollars for raising nets? All right? Now?
You see you're gonna bring Now, now, where do you
put the raisin nets in order to bring them into
the theater? What do you mean in my pocket? Okay?
Were nobody? Nobody says, excuse me, sir, what's with the
giant box in your front pocket? No? Nobody said nobody, nobody, No,
this is that at all. They just assume I'm happy.

(01:51:49):
I'm a little moisture. Now your reputation preceded you. Okay,
far enough, I get it. I just this whole idea
that you'll pay full price for food in a baseball
This just goes to show your loyalty to the game
about But it's not just exactly what it is. Hey,
Lee and Alex, real quick. Don't you have a hard
time paying uh money for popcorn at a movie theater? Lee?

(01:52:10):
I have a hard time paying for the ticket? Yeah.
I always stop at the liquor store for some snacks, right,
ye See, if you're doing it right, Rob, you get
a girl with a big person, you have no issues
bringing stuff. Where's Gas gone? Is he had his mic gas?
I don't know. He's probably drinking right now. Here's here's
what's so funny about what Lee said. You notice, like
you said, you go to the ninety nine cent store,
Lee says, he goes to the liquor store. That o't

(01:52:32):
to tell you about what Lee's bringing in, But do
you know what, it's still cheaper. Yeah, still cheaping him
at the theater. And I get it. The theaters don't
make any money off the movies. If people know that, Okay,
all right, They don't make money off the tickets, so
the only money they can make is through the concession,
so they gouge us. Okay, here's here's you don't feel
like a little bit of a cheap ass when you

(01:52:54):
walk into a movie theater. In Lee's case, he's got
a bottle of Mad Dog twenty twenty that he's snuck
in from a circle K. You walk in with jiuji
fruits that you got out of a ninety nine cent store,
don't you? Aren't you? Isn't it a little demeaning to
yourself that you're walking in here sneaking food when you
can afford to pay for the food. That's no. I
think I'm a smart guy. If the prices, if they

(01:53:15):
sold the stuff cheaper, they would sell more of it
and it would be a volume thing, not gouging or people.
Ten years that you've had movie theater popcorn unbelievable. Hey,
don't forget It's the Odd Couple. Check out the podcast
download and give us up five stars. Tell us how
great we are, and of course we'll be back Tomorrow's

(01:53:37):
same bad time, same bad channel. It's the Odd Couple,
