(00:23):
It is The Odd Couple. I am Chris, Here is Rob.
We're coming to you live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
You can also follow us on social media. I'm at
Chris Underscore Brusard on Twitter, Chris Brusar sixty eight on
The Graham. Rob is at Rob Parker FS one on
both Twitter and Instagram. We've got the Hot Seat, Fox

(00:44):
Sports Radio Update anchor and producer of The Rogan and
Rodney Show. Right Man in La on AM five seventy,
Kevin figures n He's gonna figure. He's gonna figure he
made a mistake. After this is over, Kevin's my man,
but he going down today. Kevin Figure is one of
the best guys in the room at AM five seventy

(01:06):
Here at Fox Sports Radio as well. Kevin's yes, very
good guy. This is first time too, right, He's made
on the Hot seat. All right, I've debated. I've debated
him on Fred Rogan's TV show, Going Rogan Chris on
k NBC Los Angeles. Okay, okay, did you count that
among your thirty five jobs? Or with that? I get paid, right,

(01:28):
any job, any job, anything I do it, I get paid, Chris,
Is that a job or not? That's a job if
you get paid for it. To me, that's although what
if you I used to get paid in Cleveland when
I go on the radio to talk about the Cavs. Yes,
that station. Just no, I worked for the Akron Beacon Journal. No, no, no,

(01:50):
but I appeared on radio, So come on, I'm getting
close to thirty five. Then no, no, no, But were
you were regular? Like like I didn't count then? It
was just like I didn't any random station that happy
wherever they were. That's that's different, like like w EEI
is not in my thing, even though I'm on there

(02:10):
a lot of often, you know what I mean? Like
I didn't count them that like, okay, so it was
I was starting to get work. No, I'm starting to
scream fraudulent. But okay, why it's more than thirty five?
To be honest, if you really like like really counted
but thirty five? Yeah, alright, alright, cool, all right. We
we talked about this with Hugh. By the way, how's
your eye? Because he was he was punching you in

(02:33):
the eye. Na, that's all right, that that last interview. No,
I don't know. I don't know what numbers he's talking about.
Then he's talking about all the coup come from behind it.
He's only had three this year. Three he only it
was one off you sure, But anyway, I checked, I
checked the numbers during the break. I love Hugh and you,

(02:54):
but he he's wrong on this one. That's all. You
keep saying that Olmes didn't lead the league in any
major category. He led the league in yards for game, Okay, Chris,
but that's not a major category. No, I'm just saying category. Okay,
what else? No, nothing but that that's I'm just saying
that that technically is not right, that's a major category.

(03:17):
But anyway, we want to talk about this Rob because
he brought up you know, we both brought up to him,
Derek Henry and the possibility of him. But Brandon Marshall,
who was a co host the first things first, obviously
was a great wide receiver in the NFL for many years.
He actually thinks Rob that Derek Henry should be the MVP.

(03:38):
Here's his take. This is a hundred percent injury rate.
Think about that all right, Before I even get into
the injury rate thing, Let's talk about this whole Uh.
What's harder whether running for two thousand yards or throwing
for thirty eight touchdowns forty eight touchdowns with Patrick Mahomes
and also were Aaron Rodgers, is that those guys are

(03:59):
in a company of almost thirty people up, thirty quarterbacks
who've done that before. This guy lives in the fraternity
of two, him and Terrell Davis, two running backs. Do
you guys understand how significant this is week We're talking
about a running back. Any moment an ankle can go
and knee can go. It doesn't have to be a
game ending injury, doesn't have to be a game season

(04:23):
ending injury. We're talking about this guy being able to
stay healthy this long so he can hit this mark.
Most of these guys that's done. It's only been eight
They're going into week seventeen needing one hundred and fifty
yards one hundred and sixty yards. So it's coming down
to the wire to cross the finish line. This guy
needed two hundred and twenty seven thirty seven yards and

(04:45):
he went for two fifty four or something like that.
This is absolutely ridiculous. So, Nick, I've been talking about
this jet ski and trying to paint the picture of
the MVP hierarchy for the last several weeks. I also
said that if Derrick Henry goes for over two two
thousand yards, he shouldn't be the MVP. These guys been
going back and forth all year. Patrick Mahomes, what is it?
Naron Roger, what's it now? That was that's last week.

(05:08):
But you know what's better, Nick, than than riding a
jet ski? Riding a Dolphins. That's what's better writing a Dolphins. Right.
This is where it's at right now. Dere Derek Gimmy
is the MVP. Wow, they got some nice sound effects
on that one. But he I think let me clear
a few things up that he said, Rob when he

(05:30):
mentioned and Ryan correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm
going off the top of my head on this. But
when he said that only two players have done what
Dereck Henry and Terrell Davis did, I think he meant
only they're the only two players to lead the league
in rushing yards and touchdowns in back to back seasons.

(05:53):
That's corrected, and they both had at least two thousand
yards and fifteen touchdowns, are the only two to ever
do that. So it's so not is it both of
what I said? Or no, it's not back to back,
just just in general, because he is one of the
few though to lead the league in touchdowns and yards
in back to back seasons. But I don't know if
it's just two of them. But then with the eight
when he said eight, there's only been eight running backs

(06:15):
that if rushed for two thousand or more yards in
a season. Now robbed four of those. Let's say the
previous seven. Four of the previous seven have won the MVP.
That would be O. J. Simpson, Adrian Peterson, Barry Sanders,
and Terrell Davis. Look, I think Aaron Rodgers is going

(06:36):
to win the MVP, and I don't have any problem
with that. But if if shocker of all shockers, if
they gave it to Derek Henry, I gotta be honest,
I would not raise a fuss be And here's why
we all know. Obviously, the two thousand yards one hundred
twenty six point seven yards per game Russian, I think,

(07:00):
and you talked about it with Mahomes versus Aaron Rodgers
Roger that Mahomes had more help was your argument. Okay,
I think Aaron has had much more help than h
Derek Henry has in Tennessee. And here's here's what I'll
say Rogers had. He's obviously the quarterback, so the passing

(07:23):
game is all up to him. But the rushing game,
he had the eighth best rushing game in the NFL,
and Aaron Jones was fourth in the NFL and rushing
then he Derek Henry, he was the rushing game. His
passing game was twenty third in the league. So they

(07:43):
didn't throw the ball all that well. Ryan Tannehill had
a nice season for a game manager, a great season
for a game manager, but they don't throw it all
that great, and so we know it's all about Henry.
And yet he ran for two thousand. Defensively, Aaron Rodgers
and Green Bay has the ninth best defense and Tennessee

(08:05):
the twenty eighth best defense, so he led them to
an eleven and five record. I'm not gonna say he
should get it over Rogers. But if he does, you know,
I think it'll be justified. I don't. I think he
had and and and the list. It ain't like it's
automatic with two thousand yards. That's the law that people

(08:26):
are putting out there. It's not this. This this three
guys who rushed for two thousand yards who didn't win
the MVP. Eric Dickerson in nineteen eighty four, Jamal Lewis
two thousand and three. And I remember Chris Johnson who
was on the Titans, wasn't he in two thousand and nine?
And he didn't win the MVP? Um and and the
snow knocked up the year that he had and he

(08:47):
put up who did they win in the beating the
last game? I don't remember the Titans Houston, a bad
Houston team that that that he was able to run
for two hundred and fifty four yards Jamal, that was easy. No, No,
that's you can't super No. I'm just saying, but it's
like the Brady putting up the ten touchdowns in the
last few weeks. Everybody, I can, I make my points,

(09:10):
but I want to make you just said you just
had ten minutes. It's just no, let me make no
I just can I make my point is all I want.
I let you talk for ten minutes. I just want
my my cham was like four minutes, but no, it
was like ten minutes. It sounded like would be over.
It sounded like ten minutes because it's so convoluted, and

(09:32):
I don't know where you were going. Can you give
me some fairness? That's all I know, all right? My
point is just this. I just think Aaron Rodgers, with
what he was able to numbers were through the roof
and all the categories. And the other part was this
that they did, you know, take the number one seed

(09:53):
in the NFC. I think that's major that you had
the best team or you know you you clinched the
number one seed. I I think that matters. And I
think that he was able to do it, even missing
some pieces. And granted, this might be one of the
best teams he's ever had, but he no doubt lifted
that team. And the two big games that I saw

(10:14):
there was against the Titans. We blew him out forty
to fourteen, and they held Derrek Henry under a hundred
yards in that game, and they beat they beat the
Saints in New Orleans. Those were two big wins for them,
and I think he didn't do anything. He had the
one bad day Anty Office against Tampa Bay or up

(10:36):
tend nothing. He threw two picks and when you think
about that, he threw two and just three the whole
rest of the season. He was unbelievable with the football
and he had almost fifty touchdowns. He had a hell
of a year. If he didn't win the MVP, then
you can't win an MVP. Well, he looked he had
a great year, and like I said, I fully expect
him to be the MVP. I'm just saying I thought

(10:59):
Henry was good enough where if he gets it, I
think I won't raise a fuss because I think he's
had He's had an MVP two year or two and
I'll say he's not in the conversation, that's not I
think he's ahead of Patrick Mahomes. I think I said
this before, he'll be second. I think he'll be second. Yeah,
I think he'll be second. But but if he you

(11:20):
would consider it a robbery. If he won, I would
just think that I would be shocked that Aaron Rodgers
didn't win. Putting up the season and being a number
one seed in the NFC. I think the record says
a lot too. It's not like he put those numbers
up and they're a wild card team because Minnesota won
a division, they would be a little different. Chris, it
would be yeah. No, and like I said, he had

(11:43):
more help than disagree with that. No, no, no, And
that's why, like you mentioned Chris Johnson, some of it
the reason some of these guys didn't win it when
they ran for two thousand because their record wasn't wasn't
very good. You know, eleven and five is big when
you got one of the worst defenses in the NFL
and a lower tier bottom ten passing game and he

(12:06):
was able to go for two thousand. I mean that
that's impressive. Like I said, I think Rogers will win it.
But if if Henry were to somehow get it, I
wouldn't consider Robber. I'd be like, hey, you know, you
would be happy with your my home's narrative going for
I got that. That's still what what? So what? Why
can't that keep? What? The narrative is? What that he

(12:27):
could one day? No, It's just it's just that the
last two years he would have been beaten by a
younger quarterback than him and then the older quarterback. That's
how beaten. Last year he won the Super Bowl. No,
I'm talking about the regular seasons, the relevant just like
the No, what Cliff out there, they they should say

(12:54):
year between kind of marrying and Patrick my home, naous,
that was what That's what. That was the expectation that
he's gonna win the MVP every year. Come on, man,
that don't put that on me. That's got nothing to
do with me. I'm just saying, but that was just.
You can't sit here and tell me that wasn't my thinking.

(13:16):
You can't sit here and tell me he got beat
last year he won the Super Bowl, he was the
finals or I'm talking about MVP. That's all I'm talking
of it. Don't don't really care if he supposed to
be that guy. He had to come close to fifty
touchdown and Chris, you said he would be better in

(13:38):
a year. Two go back. I got the tape he
was told me that. He told me a Super Bowl
told me this year. You told me, oh, they gotta
running back. Look at them. Look at the weapon they
got even better, they got better than you. Look at
other weapons that they got. Oh my god, he may
on the radio. We one we were on Super Bowl. No,

(14:01):
I'm not talking about that. Stop what I'm about you?
We got you. I would say one, which because I
saw which season? Which season? Are we talking about this season?
After year one, you said he was a clear cut
overall favorite to win the MVP. That's what you say favorite?
Okay after week one and I didn't. He will play

(14:24):
the tape. That's fine. You want, you want to plause yippie, No,
we'll get gotta tell you it ain't automatic, that's all.
It ain't at My narrative will not change. My narrative
is that when they're getting knocked out by Buffalo, your
narrative will change. Well, why because I don't expect him
to win the Super Bowl every year. But my narrative

(14:46):
is this that Patrick Mahomes can be Jordan esque. That's it.
Michael Jordan didn't win the MVP every year he wanted
five times in fifteen years. Oh you're just you're and
I did I say something that wasn't the first We'll
say that wasn't a fly. And I want you to
get the tape from after Patrick Mahomes played Game one,

(15:08):
Chris had a hissy fit that I didn't agree that
he was gonna win the MVP. He had didn't, I wouldn't.
I wouldn't sign off on it that he was gonna
win the MVP. I will play the tape tomorrow, all right,
I want you to hear you and how ridiculous. No,
we won't play the tapes. We will play the tape.
Will you don't make no demand play the tap? Agree

(15:33):
We're not playing. We're playing the team please, but congratulations.
Maybe we'll see if your boy Aaron Rodgers wins it.
You know, but my narrative about Pat Mahomes will not
go to a break. You don't want to hear it
enough to be Jordan, Thanks, everybody, possibly be show good

(15:53):
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fix eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. What do you
guys think about Derek Henry's argument for MVP and really
what we wanted to throw out to you, we didn't
really get to it. Does it always have to be
a quarterback? Is it right that we've essentially made it
the best Quarterback of the Season award? You'll turn away

dot com. Slash Odd all right eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Fix you heard it from robbing me? Does
the MVP? I mean, is it fair that has basically
become the best Quarterback of the Season award? You're turned
away in Let's hear from you Chat and Cincinnati. You're
on The Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Chat? Hey?
What's up? Little g what's up? Chris? Um? Hey? Real quick? Uh?

(17:25):
If Derek would have broken ed Eric Dickerson's record, um
that two thousand yard plus clip that Ed had back
in the mid eighties when I was super young. Then
I would say Derek should be the MVP. But Aaron
Rodgers he carried the Packers. He's like a conductor in

(17:48):
a symphony. And he has a bunch of guys who
are average guys in the NFL, but he lifts them
up average. No, no, no, no. Adams is um the
top receiver in NFL as far as I'm concerned. But
guys like Scantling Tanya is running back Aaron Jones in Russian.

(18:12):
I'm just saying, Lazard, You've got players that are not
household names, but he makes them better. Dab me at
tight end, Tanya. So I mean he does more with less.
So you got to give it to a Rods. But
for sure, Derek Henry carried the Titans. Kenny hill Owes,
I'm a Porsche. I told og that because without Derek,

(18:36):
Enny was just a guy. That's all I got. You guys,
all right, chat, I appreciate it, my man. Thank you.
Sean in Sacramento. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Sean? Yo? My uncles from another
mother man. First of all, can I just say, how
blessed we are the nation to have YouTube find gentlemen
on the radio keeping everybody's spirits up, making Joe celebrating

(18:57):
thirty five great years to rive and countless others to
Chris Man, we appreciate y'all, brother, thank you man, We
appreciate that. So my take real quick is so after
lifting y'all little Rob, why are you out y'all mind? Man?
What are you not seeing with the Jordan next nature
of my man Patrick Mahomes brother, all he does is
win same thing Jordan did. He's gonna put another ring

(19:19):
on his finger this year. So I don't know what
the argument is about that. And as far as the
MVP goes man, come on, give it to a running
back man, spread the wealth and round. There's an offensive
Player of the year. If you really want to give
Aaron something, give them that. But the two thousand yard accomplishment,
like Brandon said earlier, Man, it's one out of eight.
You gotta give the man some problems for that, all right, Rob?

(19:40):
One thing? Do we need an MVP and an Offensive
Player of the Year? Yeah, I don't just you know
what I'm saying, Like they usually get the offensive Player
of the Year war to a guy at a different position. Well,
I don't actually know if it's usually, but a lot
of times, right people are saying, Derek HENRYI get that.
What's the difference. Yeah, I don't. I don't know. Yeah,

(20:03):
I just yeah, it's just it's it's it's turned into
a quarterback. But everything is the Heisman. We've talked about
it before. Right, Hey, I'm in New Jersey. You're on
the eye a couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, fellas? Uh,
congratulations Rob on thirty five years individual. Appreciate you guys

(20:24):
on a day like this. Yeah, man, appreciate it. Listen
on Derrick Henry Man. I think he's more than qualified
to being the MVP two thousand yards. It's hard to
get uh and Uh. I do agree that it shouldn't
be more than a quarterback award, even though I'm a
big Rogers fan. But you know, I'm getting mad at

(20:46):
Nick and uh and Nick Wright and Chris always being
like the Avengers for like Patrick Mahomes. They come on, guys,
be more humble, we know good, be real about it.
The narrative, false narrative. Do you mean, what's the narrative? Row.
That's why, that's why they call him Nick Rong. Just
I'm just honestly, I'm just telling you that he's got

(21:10):
a false narrative. It is for this year. He's not
the MVP. Crist that's not my narrative. That you came
on the show Monday saying you would still pick him
as MVP Monday. What do you mean He's not gonna
be the MVP. That's my opinion. Could be my opinion, Okay,
but I'm saying my narrative is he's Jordan est and
and and that hasn't changed just because he was an MVP.

(21:54):
He figured better, We figured not figured better than to
join us on the hot seat because he knew it
would be ugly. But we'll see. I give his credentials
just in case he he mands up and steps up
in the area. He is a Fox Sports Radio Update anchor.
He is the producer of Rogan and Rodney on A

(22:17):
M five seventy LA Sports, and he is a good guy.
Rob uh As, a guest on the show, hung out
with him and his girlfriend at the at Jonas's wedding. Okay, yeah,
so i got a chance to spend some time and
I've worked feeling on that show. Chris used to feeling
on that show. Ye when you used to be a

(22:37):
California person. But what's the weather light there by the way?
It was nice today, you know, I mean today Rose seventies.
I don't know what's nice. So are you getting what
are you doing well? I mean, I know you're working
during the day a lot, but are you getting out?
Are you walking or not? Really? No? Not really? I
mean you know, I walk a little bit, but I'm

(22:58):
saying not as much as I would like. And the
gym is still closed in my buildings, so I'm kind
of like stuck. It's like it's a weird place to
be still on your your diet. No no, no, My
diet starts on the eleventh because I'm going to Vegas
for the weekend, so I'm gonna eat and drink and
then I'll come back and get going. So that's what
six months? I haven't been No, the diet died. Yeah,

(23:23):
be four months. Wow, it ain't. B J is not
is That's not that close. No, it's so it'll be
like somewhere back it up. I'm gonna start with four.
Let me see where I'm at, and then we'll go.
All right, Kevin is Kevin Figure? We got Kevin here
on the hot seat. Let's due, Kevin, were trying to
duck us? What's up with that? No? No, no, you
guys are trying to duck. Let's let's go. All right, brother,

(23:46):
let's do it. Yeah, who's hosting this thing? I am? Yes?
All right? Coming on? All right, this is the odd
couple Fox Sports Radio. This is the hot seat where
members of the Fox Sports Radio family step into the
ring with Chris and Rob and defend three of their
hottest takes. Now we've got our man. Kevin figures here
played the drop Sam. Remember they would lick the heads
of people sitting in the front row. Not that one?

(24:16):
All right? Oh so he got his own theme. That's
right right, that's right. Wow, big deal out here in
am five seventy l a sports h Let's look at
Kevin's first take, and that is Tim Duncan is not
the best power for it of all time, but rather
Kevin Garnett is figuring, you got thirty seconds, let's go. Well,

(24:36):
I could just start with the intangibles and not even
bring up all the stats, which I can get to later.
But being an inspirational leader, bringing that intensity every night,
always played hard, held his teammates accountable. That's what a
leader does. One of the most intense players of all time,
defensive player of the year, phenomenal on all end of
the floor. There was not a single hole in his game.
That's why he's the best of all time. Will you

(24:58):
stop it? I mean, come, I like KG as much
as the next man, but nobody puts him ahead of
Tim Duncan. All right? Five rings? Count them? Five rings?
All right? He didn't have Paul Pierce playing with him,
he didn't have Ray Allen playing with him. I'm Tony
Parker and mine Jenoble are nice, but they're not piercing

(25:19):
Ray Allen. And yet he still was able to win
five rings. He stepped in the league when the Admiral
David Robinson was in his prime and immediately became the
team's best player. Are you kidding me? Stopping? Go ahead,
keV all right, let's get the craig. Let's get this
straight here. Chris Minu, Jenoble, and Tony Parker are going

(25:41):
to all the same. So it was Kawhi Leonard. He
greatly trained his way to the last championship he wanted
to San Antonio. Yes, he did have David Robinson was
one of the best pigment of all times. Kevin Gardner
for the majority of his career played with who who
was the second best player in Minnesota while he Zerbiax
this I was putting a phenomenal numbers. He was never
expected to win championships in Minnesota, but because he didn't
have the talent around him, he put up huge numbers.

(26:02):
If you traded Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett and put
j in San Antonio as if not more, keV stopping,
you're just mad because Tim Duncan wore sandals all the
time because he's from the Bahamas. This guy is one
Ray Allen shot away from being six and oh in
the finals. Well you kidding me? And you're acting like

(26:26):
he had nothing to do with it. And if I
remember correctly, Tony Parker was a second round pick. Yes,
he's going to the Hall of Fame because Tim Duncan
made him a great player, opened up his game and
mantled Genoblie. So don't act like Tim Duncan didn't have
anything to do with him. That's why you know who
Greg Popovich is. Tim Duncan is better than KG. Well

(26:49):
that was a tough one. Uh, very strong arguments on
both sides. KG was also fantastic and uncut gems. But
I will give the edge to the odd couple on
this one because it was more than an edge. Bile,
it's not even close. It's all right, figure, I've got
to I've got to pad their sets a little bit
here because you know what's about to happen on this

(27:09):
one too. Why don't we, uh, the Patrick Mahomes at
the radio, you're padding off. Despite the padres moves, the
Dodgers are still a cut above every other team in
the NL West and the NL as a whole. Figure.
You got thirty seconds. Look, the cute little team in
San Diego happened to get themselves a couple of good

(27:30):
pictures and that's excellent. The Dodgers, what if they lost
if anything they're going to gain this coming season. They
won the World Series and Cody Bellinger has the worst
season of his career. He's gonna have a bounce back
year whether they lose Justin Turner or not. They have
reserves coming in. Gaven Lux is one of the best,
one of the best prospects in all the Major League Baseball.
He could possibly make an impact for him this year.

(27:50):
There's nothing that they're missing at this point in time
outside of maybe an extra arm in the bullpen, and
they could probably even win again with that. So the
Padres are a nice upper story, but they're not to
give it. Stoping, Kevin, what are you talking about. Let
me tell you last year, only two teams won more
games in the Padre You know what two teams, the
two teams that made it to the World Series. They

(28:13):
weren't on the outside looking in, and they were good.
They also scored three hundred and twenty five runs. Guess one.
Only the Dodgers scored more. And then they went out
and added two ace pitchers at the top of their rotation,
one guy for his second and Side Young and the
guy who has a side Young in his back pocket.
And they have the best most exciting player in the game.

(28:38):
All right, you get that's really really cute, rob. Yes,
they added a couple of side young candidates, one who won,
and you, Darvish, Dodgers fans know exactly what he can
do a big moment, and that's totally mailed down. He
gathered with the Rangers and he possibly were doing now
with the San Diego Padres. I see that. Come with
the Dodgers you mentioned, Yeah, they scored more runs than
the Padres. Yes, they finished with a better record than
the Padres. And that's gonna happen again. This is also

(29:00):
gonna be a marathon of the season. Last year was
a sprint. Who knows what's gonna happen through the course
of an entire season for the Podres. The Dodgers are
through and making one over a hud game a full
regular season. I don't know, figures. I mean, Clayton Kershaw
isn't getting any younger, that's for darn sure. And look,
the Padres had a nice pitching staff already. Now you

(29:23):
add Blake Snell and you, Darvish, come on, Fernando Tattoos,
where's he going? He's only going up, He's only getting better.
Manny Machado is back to his old self. I mean,
come on, the Padres are ready. I know you're mad
about it, and the rain might be over. I still
like the Dodgers, but do not sleep on the boys

(29:45):
down South. To put it simply, everything the Padres can do,
the Dodgers can do better. Rob, you did a really
good job of pointing out the fact that the Dodgers
are in fact a better team. So that point here
goes to Kevin Figures. You know what a yanism. Every
Instagram picture would have dive your hat on. We already

(30:05):
know he is Chris. We had no shot at that one. None.
It's all right, all right, but you might have a
shot at this one, because now we're all square at
one to one. But for his third point, Kevin Figure
says that Chick fil A is overrated. Figure, you got
thirty seconds. I don't understand out hype. It's literally just chicken.

(30:26):
There's nothing special about it. If you're telling me the
appeal to Chick fil A is a variety of sauces,
and that tells me that the actual product is not
that good. I'll never understand the driveway being full. It's
similar to in and out. There's nothing special about Chick
fil a whatsoever? V sound like you sound like Yogi bearra.

(30:48):
I don't go to that restaurant anymore. It's always too crowded.
Come on, cab, what are you talking about? Have you
tried to waffle fries? I didn't die for? Are you
hitting me? And the chicken sandwich is delicio so yes,
that's why there's always a line outside Chick fil A.

(31:08):
They're not giving out stimulus checks, They're giving out good
tasting food. The waffle fries are just as overrated as
their bland chicken. Then you know, are rob don't get
a twist to hear stop it. I can get that.
I can get a better chicken sandwich at Popelines. To
be honest with you, that sandwich has warped away. Not
anything at Chick fil A. Totally overrated, not worth it.

(31:31):
The only reason the lines are long, it's because of
the novel team. But there's nothing special about it. It's
sport of mouth. Being passed on. Best chickfoy is so amazing,
I have to try it out. Let me try to
realize that there is no there is not a fast
food joint in America who has chicken nuggets like Chick
fil A, McDonald's, no way, Burger king a, Wendy's not

(31:53):
even close. It's Chick fil A by a mile. Then,
as Rob said, the waffle fries, I mean, the biscuits
and the bread. I mean it's delicious. And on top
of that, they don't only feed me physically, but I
get a Bible verse on the carton or something like

(32:14):
soul right there. It's Chick fil A. The only the
only time that uh and you said, what a Popeye's
chicken sandwich. The only thing is that it doesn't taste
as good because it comes through the bulletproof glass because
it's just got this truth on me. You gotta say

(32:34):
it rough, all right that oh man, Now this is
a tough one. Now, Figgy knows my affinity for all
fast food really, so it's hard for me to dislike
any fast food, and I do enjoy Chick fil A. However, guys,
there is no pain quite like pulling up to Chick
fil A already to get yourself dinner for that night,

(32:56):
and then completely forgetting that it's a Sunday. The world.
The point goes to Kevin figures, there you gonna burth
my man. Thank you, I'm Chris. This was red this
so so what shift did y'all swap or something? That's
some shift that Ryan needed off. So he got k

(33:19):
fig and now he's gonna hook him off exactly exactly.
Come on, well your maiden voyage on the hot seat.
Even though you didn't really didn't win, you did a
good job. So congratulation you survived. We'll have you on again. Man,
great job. Thank you boys. I appreciate it. I love

on a worship Wednesday. Sounds of my man Basil. He's
been a guest on the show, Rob, Oh, is that right? Yeah?

(34:04):
He was, Yeah, he's been on a celebrity corner. Um,
let's I want to the The Rockets lost tonight to
the Indiana Pacers to fall Rob to two and four,
and we all know the situation in Houston. James Harden,
once out hardened, was not good tonight. I mean, he

(34:27):
did half twelve assists, but at fifteen points shot, which
for him is like half of what he usually gets
less than half, was five for fourteen from the field.
Rob They've beaten one team this year, and that's the
Sacramento Kings. They beating them twice, and then they've lost
everybody else two and four. And when I look, you know,

(34:48):
we we've all talked about where Harden might end up.
Philadelphia obviously was a team where people have been looking at.
But they're off to a nice start. Doc Rivers really
has been playing well. Their defensive it is tremendous. They've
won five in a row. They're seven and one after
tonight's victory. And then Brooklyn as you and I, you know,

(35:08):
we both liked the nets. Now, yeah, they're not playing
their greatest ball right now. They're four and four. But
I just as much as I like Harden, I don't
know that I want to mess. We got some breaking news.
Let's hear what this is? Breaking news from Fox Sports.
Hey guys, confirmed by Adrian war Janowski Marquelle fold. So

(35:29):
they're allowed to magic torn acl be done for the season.
Yeah I saw that, Um yeah, yeah, And it's it's
this guy rob Man sad. Yeah, because he was finally
coming out of his shell. And I do mean shell,
you know, like he just he was he was spooked

(35:52):
for the first several years of his career. Yeah, it
was bad too. Yeah, yeah, it was really the yips,
you know, it was really the yips. And this year
he was playing well, he was starting at averaging fourteen
points a team high six assist for the Orlando Magic.
They're winning, They're six and two. It really looked like

(36:12):
this guy it was gonna be a nice comeback story. Wow. Yeah,
that's tough that that. We've seen a couple of injuries
so far, you know, I mean, yeah, Spencer Dinwitty torn
acl with the nets, which is you know, I mean
obviously they've got a ton of talent, but still he's
a good player player, not like you could just throw

(36:33):
him away. But I don't know if that drails you totally,
but but he's a good piece, you know what I mean.
Like it's not like, oh my god, you can't you
can't win now, but he's a good piece, no doubt
about it. Yeah, that man, that's tough. I hate to
hear that about Mark Hell folks. But you know what
I was saying, um in regards to Harden Philadelphia seven

(36:54):
and one Brooklyn. You know, we know what they are.
If you were one of those two teams, James, Rob
would you be you know, would you want to get
hardened right now? No? I I just don't know. Yeah,
because you know, he's I know he's a he's a
great player. But I just I just not sure that

(37:15):
he's going to fit. He's such a ball dominant player,
you know, like this just Chris wherever he goes, there's
no way he can just fit in, do you know
what I mean? Like, that's not who he is. It
really now. He used to be able to do that,
but he's been a superstar now for the last few years.
And what's interesting is his usage rate has climbed with

(37:37):
his stars. Like when he got Chris Paul, his usages
rate went up. When he got Westbrook it went up
even more. You know. So I don't know what he thinks,
how he thinks he would play in Brooklyn. I can't
even imagine that, you know, that would be crazy. But uh,
we'll see. Um, well that's what they do. They're playing well, right,

(38:01):
But it's what they do though, Chris, you know what
I mean. But couldn't you see Thibodeaux just like you
had Derek Rose, one star and a bunch of hard
workers around him. Could they do that with hard you know?
Just the ultimate goal for the Knicks is to win. Yeah,
all right, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Fox Sports Radio
