R party. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. It is
the id Couple for our number three on a funky
flashback Friday, being manned by our man Iowa Sam. He's
doing the fans has the job with it. I must
(00:44):
say so myself. All Right, you just heard Rob Parker confess. Rob,
you didn't even like, what is it? March? Is it?
It ain't even March yet? Man, two months? That's you
didn't even last two and that's not good. And you
said you you said you were gonna do twelve months. No,
(01:05):
I know, but I can't. I told you what you
you think I was joking as father, Chris Bruso. The
only way for you to really make this right is
to sit nose to me. I'm dead serious, Rob, I
don't want to corrupt you. Chris corrupt me. It will
(01:27):
not corrupt me. You're a man of the claw. Yes
I am, and I did not make that promise. I
didn't make. Now's that gonna corrupt me? See, Chris, what
you didn't know was years ago I was a man
of the cloth too. Did you know that you're defract No,
I've been defract No. I worked at I was in
a postry salesman and queens. My good I always sam,
(01:51):
I mean, can we get a little balls. You don't
have to be as tough as Alex, but my goodness,
I'm ready the clawe. No, hey, rob g how long
did you think I was gonna last on this right now? Yeah?
You last more than two months the shortest and this
(02:13):
Black History Month too. You couldn't even make it through
Black History Month. I could, Chris, that's not even the
shortest month of the of the year. I couldn't get that.
You're right, but you saw the organs, both of you guys.
Tell me those sweet, real fresh that's why, that's why
if you send them to me, it'll cleanse yourself, right, yeah,
(02:36):
because that's a sacrifice. I'm gonna tell you a funny
not funny, but you know, Catholic go new confession right right.
I grew up doing that made my first communion or no,
my confession, I can't. I think it's second grade, first
community of second grade. What are your confession about second grade?
(02:57):
I gotta be honest, I don't remember at that point,
but I would confessive out. But I do remember going
as an older person, you know, in college in high school.
And did you really confess everything that you did that
was sinful? Chris? I confess what I knew was sins
at those times. Yeah, and I knew I was doing
and I got when I left, I did feel better
(03:18):
for a little while until I sin again. You know.
But um, my father in college freshman year, so I
would have been like nineteen sixty five, No, no sixty one.
He goes out. He went to Xavier University, which is
an HBCU in New Orleans, and that is uh. It
(03:41):
was the Catholic school, the only black Catholic school in
the country. And he got drunk his freshman year, him
and some of his friends, and they got like they
got caught by the nuns and the dean and you know,
all that for being drunk and all that stuff, and
(04:02):
he got kicked out of school. It's freshman year. He's
the first Bruce hard to go to college. My grandfather
had a sixth grade education, his wife, my grandmother, had
a tenth grade education, and he got my father's a
first bruce starter to go to college. Got kicked out
of his freshman year. So he goes to confession and
(04:23):
the priest tells him, Rob, now you you're not cat
the rosary. You know what the rosary is? Yeah, I
know all the stuff I just told him, just not catt. Yeah.
The Rosary was sixty if I can remember correctly, sixty
Hail Mary's. Hail Mary is a prayer sixty Hail Marys
and like six are fathers and a few other things.
(04:46):
And the priest told him say the Rosary every night
for the rest of his life. What a freshman in
college for the rest of his luck. That just pentance.
That was his penance. That was his penance. Now, I mean,
obviously he missed some nights and he don't do it anymore.
(05:08):
But he I remember often seeing my father on his
knees at night at that time. I didn't know that
he had been you know, that was his penance, but
he would be praying the Rosary. Wow, and he like,
he doesn't do it. Later on a priest kind of said,
(05:28):
you know, you don't have to do that soft him
of it. But yeah, I mean, but here's what I
don't like and not against. You know, I could say
I grew up Catholic, but that's putting a heavy burden
on somebody. Oh yeah, that's too heavy of a burden.
And that's why I'm glad freeze us from that, you know. Yeah,
(05:48):
but um, but yeah, so that that was a situation.
But anyway, Um, we're gonna go back to James Harden
and Rob. I got the game on Sixers are up
fifty one, forty six on Minnesota. It's at Minnesota. Um,
you know, so far, so good. I'm gonna read you
a few stats. Joel mb one for seven wow, okay,
(06:11):
twelve point six rebounds, and he's been doing damage from
the line. He's nine for ten from the free throw line,
but he's one for seven from the floor. James Harden
has eleven points. He's three of five from the floor.
He's got and Tyrese Maxie they're getting him involved. He
(06:32):
got twelve points himself, five of eight from the floor,
so he's taking the most shots. What's interesting to me
is that they're playing Harden off the ball a lot,
and who's handling the ball. He's handled it some, but
Maxi's handled it and Mbid has still been out like
at the top of the three point line quite a
(06:53):
bit and on the perimeter quite a bit. So I think,
you know, obviously Docary was kind of feeling things out,
but I get what he's trying to do is keep
everybody involved and try to establish probably try to establish
ball movement and not just Harden over dribbling in again
sometimes he's handling the ball. But the challenges is Harden
(07:16):
going to be able to like be at his best
or even close in that role? You know what I'm saying, Like,
if you got hardened off the ball and he's not
able to do the things that really make him a superstar,
then is it are you getting the benefit of having
James hard That's a question. No, you're not right. That's
(07:39):
not who he is, right, right, I mean that's always
the hard part. Chris is is And we could go
back to Westbrook. Yeah, Westbrook is nice, but then you're
asking him not to be Westbrook, to do something else exactly,
and there's no way he can be himself with the Lakers, right,
now that's the way, and so you're going to get
a ter Westbrook. It's just a matter of can the
(08:03):
other two care? Now Harden, I think what you gotta
do is keep the ball in his hands, but have
him make quicker decisions, you know, like not pounded as
much and dribble it as much. I think he's just
got to make quicker decisions. But he's your best playmaker,
he's your best passer, and if you can get him
making quick decisions, then I think you know that can
(08:25):
be effective. But we'll see. But that's how it is.
But Rob, here's the question I want to ask you.
I think this time in Philadelphia with James Harden is
legacy defining for him. And look, he's obviously already made
top seventy five and deservedly so. He is going to
be a first ballot Hall of Famer and deservedly so.
(08:48):
And I think he's an all time elite score and passed,
one of the few guys that I think is all
time elite in both categories. You got magic, you got
I'm not magic. You got Oscar Robertson, you got Lebron,
you got Larry Bird. Just a very short list of
guys that I, in my opinion, have been elite at
both of those things, playmaking and scoring. So in a sense,
(09:13):
of course, his legacy is set. But rob when we
think about Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Stockton, Malone, elginb like,
of course we give them props as the awesome players
that they were because they were like Charles Barkley and
all those guys were fantastic. But soon after we mentioned
(09:34):
their name, right, I mean, sometimes it's mentioned as the
greatest players never to win a ring, right like that's
always near the top, you know what I'm saying, that
they didn't win a ring, And I think Hardened obviously
could be in that group. But it could be even
worse if he doesn't win it because for and I'm
gonna give you three reasons why, and then I'll turn
(09:56):
the floor over to you. Number one, he played with
so many great players, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, not I
get it was short, but still they played with him
and he forced his way out. So Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving,
Chris Paul Russell, Westbrook, Dwight Howard in his prime. And
(10:16):
now it'll be Joel mb that's a lot of Hall
of famers that you got to play with and still
couldn't deliver a ring. Number two. We've seen hardened falter
in big moments. Rob In his last eight elimination games
he's won in seven. He shot thirty nine percent from
the floor, twenty three percent from three and average six turnovers. Again,
(10:40):
and it's had some real stinkers in those. Came a
twelve turnover game, a two for ten or two for
eleven game against San Antonio. Like you, I don't care
if you go two for twenty eight, but when you're
the guy, you gotta shoot more than eleven times. And
that show he just kind of frowze up. And so
(11:01):
there's that. And then the third thing is the fact
that he suked and pounded his way out of two situations,
one of them when you had Kevin Durant right Like,
if you're James Rob, if I'm James Harden and I'm
one of the best players that ever lay him up,
and I look across the locker room and I see
(11:22):
Kevin Durant, I think we got a chance. That's That's
where I look at it too. Absolutely, you miss Kyrie.
I wanted Kyrie back, and all that. But if I
see him and I know what I can do, I
think we got a chance. And Chris, I think he
was shortsighted. And if he just read the tea leaves,
(11:44):
you know, the last six weeks or whatever, things have
improved in the country with the COVID. Chris, do you
remember what it was around Christmas? And I have to
know after Christmas in the New Year, it was? It was.
It was bad. I'm telling you I quick suation, but
I think it was a better one, right, But he
(12:06):
didn't read the team leads like this, this was going
to get better, not worse, and it was getting better
before he went into his funk and decided that this
was it. Um, I'm with you. It is important for
him not just because uh, he didn't win the potential
of not winning, Chris, it's because of the behavior of
(12:29):
how he got out of these situations. And when you
do that and just say I, I mean, like, his
worst case scenario is that the Nets win a championship
with Benson, Like that's his worst case scenario and exactly
that would be like the worst So that's on the table, man,
(12:50):
And if he wins, all bets are often then he
cements himself. He's good to go, but he's got to
win otherwise people will look at him. And your other
points about all the great players that he played with,
is legit throughout that many guys who have played with
that many talented players of that caliber. I mean, it
(13:11):
just hadn't happened. Absolutely. I mean one of the things
Rob and and and I don't think Rob. I feel
like as time goes on Patrick Ewings, he's obviously his legacy,
he's a Hall of Famer, all that top fifty, top
seventy five, But I do feel like people don't really
(13:31):
understand how great he was, you know what I mean,
Like the more we get away from it, the lower
he drops in the center rankings and all that stuff
and people phenomenal christ And I got a chance to
cover him when I covered the Knicks up close, so
I know what I mean, Like I had a bird's
bird's eye view every night, and what you saw us
(13:52):
know then Rob and I put this on the Knicks
because we know they haven't won the title since nineteen
seventy three. They never put a perennial All Star around
Patrick Ewing when he was at his best, never got
they were Freewell, Latreillsbury, well, Alan Houston later and he
(14:13):
got hurt unfortunately, and then you know, so he never
really got to play with him at his best and
something about the old Cleve we love, oh but oh
was limited. Jon Starks was freaking bagging groceries. He was
their second best player at one Anthony Mason was was
bouncing around all these different teams, and then he came
(14:33):
and and and and became something, you know, with the
Knicks and Wiley using him. But you're right if you
look at the rosters that were right, even when they
got Rolando Blackman and Derek Harpert, he just at the
end of their careers, yep. And there was a chance.
I remember the one where they tried to get Isaiah
and he refused to go. You remember, Chris, what do
(14:54):
you remember what was Detroit done? Yeah, they were done career,
but they were probably wouldn't have been able to help
him as much either, right, But they just figured like, hey,
you could go. And I remember distinctly him saying, that's
Patrick Ews team. I'm not calling New York. Right. That's
the difference back then, right, That's how it would. Everybody
had their team, and that's why I like all this
(15:17):
old Jordan never be the super team. There weren't the
eighties half super teams, and obviously they came later. But
during the nineties, man, it was everybody had their crew
Barkley half Phoenix, right. You Aint had New York, Jordan
has Chicago. I had this short yep I Reggie had Indiana. Uh,
(15:40):
Drexler had Portland. Like That's how it was. And Jordan
was the one, you know, And yeah, Pippin was good
and then we're not taking up break from pipping but
all this, you know, Jordan was stacked stopping. He was
not stack any right, more than anybody else. But but yeah,
(16:01):
I so I'm with you, Rob. You know it's big
for James hard. So let's throw it out to the
listeners eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fix eight seven
seven nine ninety six, sixty three sixty nine. How much
well his time in Philadelphia, good or bad? Championship or
bus define James Harden's legacy. You're turn away with christ

get to the callers, is Young MC. Rob g I
(17:53):
was saying you can get in on. This is Young
MC making a comeback. Or something. Well bust to move. Yeah,
because he was just on at halftime of the Sixers
Minnesota Timberwolves games, rapping in Minnesota, and about three weeks
three or four weeks ago, I saw him somewhere else.
I don't remember what I felt. I want to say LA,
(18:14):
but I can't be sure, but he was somewhere else
rapping at halftime, and I'm like, what is going on?
Like this dude's going around the league right now? Has
he become one of those you know, Rob, you covered
the NBA. They had those main stay uh acts right
right that the one act where the couple was on
(18:35):
Well you had some people on the unicycles, right yeah,
oh yeah remember those, and then you had the couple
that would change what was it called quick change or
something like that. Yeah, it was amazing. I don't know
how they did all that stuff. And then you had
the couple with the bowls on their head. I think
they wont unicycles in the book, but they had a
Yeah Red Red pamda Rob G just said, but they
(18:58):
just had a They have several go to acts that
go around the league, and I'm wondering this young MC
becoming one of those. Maybe he is maybe for fifty
dollars in the hot meal before the game. You know
what I'm saying. Well, rob G was just saying, may
he's got that one hit to live off of Bust
(19:19):
the move Man. That's it. I don't remember anything else
he did but that he would. I remember a few
other songs. He was actually a good rapper. He was
a good rapper, Like if you really listen to him,
he has skills, but like Gangster Rap kind of came
in rights and took his wife a lot of people out.
It did. Man, you couldn't you couldn't do feel good
(19:42):
rap after Gangster Raps was done, and that's what happened
to a young ardy. But rob GE's got something. Yeah,
I got the update you asked for it. Chris young
MC has not updated his Instagram is twenty nineteen. He
has not updated his Twitter accounts. It's October of twenty
twenty one. Wow. However, if you go on his website
(20:04):
young mc dot com, you click under tour dates, says
he's got a show coming up April eighteenth, twenty twelve.
Who just letting you know, that's years ago? Where Ge league?
That's right? The beach you know, what that means he's
(20:26):
gonna be on the odd couple of Celebrity Corner. Very him,
call him a call. Hey, let's get to one Squeeze
and Sean. We could get Sean and Sean from Sacramento.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports rated. What up, Sean? Yoh?
Mine was from another mother. My brothers behind the boy Yo.
Rob felt so bad about sending he went ahead and
(20:48):
posted it all over his social media crin what I'm saying, Man,
I'm telling you Rob, send those bad boys my way.
You will feel so much better. Hey, and keep the box.
Send them in the box. I will take them back.
And you got the box. You know how to do it.
I don't wear them, put him in the boxes into
(21:10):
my way, all right? They don't press how Jordan logos,
I don't know, no sketches or nothing like that. Right,
we know how you'd be doing. Man. My take real quick, Brolis.
I think y'all left off one team from the nineties
that lightweight was a super team, and that's the jail Blazers. Man.
But that just goes to show you that you can't
just slap together talent back then expect to win you
need a real elite competitors like Jordan you know what
(21:34):
I'm saying, Like you're your Isaiah's and stuff like that.
And so I want to throw that out there, and
then my other take it they were more in the
two thousand early two thousands, Remember Piping came there? Yeah, yeah,
right with the Kobe stopper Rubin Patterson. You're right, right,
But uh, the other thing to I want to throw
out there is if James doesn't do it with this team,
what team is he gonna do with? Man? You forget,
(21:55):
He's he's inching closer and closer to the other side
of thirty five. And with the way his he's been
breaking down lately, man, And not only that, but they
created the Harden rule. So with all that working against him,
if he can't do it with his you know, his
rekindled marriage with Daryl Morey, He's not gonna do it anywhere. Man.
It's gonna go down as him maybe not even being
a top seventy five player the next time they do
this thing. Yeah, I don't think they'll take him off
(22:16):
the list, but I because I don't think they're just
gonna add twenty five. I won't be at that All
Star Game. I probably I don't say this, Sean. Even
if he doesn't win it, he's still a top seventy
five player. Yeah, because you got guys on there. Yo,
absolutely Damian Lillards on the list, so we can stop
(22:38):
right there, Come on, Ja, James Harden is a great player.
Now he might not win the ring, but right we can't, right, Sean,
We appreciate you, my man. Have a great weekend. All right,
It is the I couple, Christen Rob keeping locked right here.
Fox Sports Radio. We got thirty minutes left. But First

(23:21):
hundred locations nationally, all those zones here to help you
save time and money with those free services, getting a
job done just got easier. Restrictions apply getting the zone
all those zones, all right, Rob, Look, I will admit
as recently as like two weeks ago, I was like,
(23:44):
there's no way I could vote for DeMar de Rosan
as MVP. I mean, I honestly like, and not that
he's not a very good player, not that he wasn't
gonna make the All NBA team first or second this year,
and he's having a great year. He is a very
(24:05):
good player, but I just couldn't wrap my mind around
him being an MVP. And lately, though, Rob, he is
on such a tear. Let me tell you about the tear.
I mean, he might break a record set by Michael Jordan.
(24:27):
He has now scored thirty five or more points on
fifty percent or better shooting from the field in eight
straight games. All right, he said, Remember he broke Wilt
Chamberlain's record. I mean, when you break a Wilt Chamberlain record,
you're doing something. Because Rob, you know, remember how all
(24:49):
these records. It was real big a few years ago
with Kevin Love. But it was like the most points
and rebounds or the most rebounds since the merger. Everything
was since the merger. You know why, because it was
before the merger of the NBA and ABA. Will Chamberlain's
numbers were so off the charts that nobody came close
(25:11):
to him, right, That's why they didn't want to count them,
because nobody would would pass. He wouldn't exactly, and so
that's why you get the term before the merger or
since the merger. And he broke a Will Chamberlain record.
And Jordan has the record for the longest streak of
thirty five plus point games regardless of field goal percentage
(25:33):
at ten and we'll see if the Rosen breaks that.
But Rob he's averaging. He's fourth in the league in
scoring twenty eight points a game, five rebounds, five assists.
And here's the kicker. The Bulls have the best record
in the Eastern Conference. Now they're only ahead by half
a game on Miami, but right now they're the number
(25:54):
one seed. There is I'm just starting to see because
we'll see if mb number one stays healthy. He's probably
the front runner right now and we'll see if his
stats remain, you know, great, with Harden there, Yannis, people
aren't talking about him, but he can't be written off.
But right now they're the four seed, okay, and then
(26:16):
you go to the East. So those are the guys
in the East. You got de Rosen mbid in Yannis
and then in the West Chris Paul, who maybe was
you know, some people might have been thinking lifetime achievement.
They could have the best record in the league. Right,
all that stats are pretty good, not scoring a lot,
but you know, good numbers. But he just got hurt.
(26:38):
He's gonna be out for six weeks. Uh, Steph. We
know had a couple months of not of subpart two months, Chris, Right,
So he's not gonna win it. I don't believe job Morant.
Maybe he's been hurt though, and they've been phenomenal when
he's been hurt. Um Luca. They're the fifth seed. Yo
kids are the six seed. So I'm just there is
(27:00):
a chance Rob if they're the number one seed, his
numbers remain as they are and MB gets hurt. And
I'm not saying, you know, predicting that, but there is
a even if NBA doesn't get hurt and his numbers
just drop a little. I'm just saying, I'm not saying
he's the front runner, but he is very much in
(27:21):
the running for the MVP. I believe, yeah, I mean
he's in the running. I'm still not convinced he's gonna
win it. I just and and not based off of
anything Chris, because he's played well on his team, as
you said, as a half a game, they've won what
six in a rold going into that. That's what got him.
They had kind of stalled out, Remember he made some
(27:42):
little big shots, then stalled out for a little big
guys that gotten hurt. Yeah, and now they kind of
bounced back. It'll be interesting just to see, um, you know,
how it all plays out. I don't know, uh, the
last twenty something. It just depends on what happen. But
what happens now. Say, if you're talking about him now
(28:02):
and the Bulls hit a rough patch and now they
dropped from the number one seed to fourth or fifth
in the East, then all of a sudden, you won't
be m no, you know what I mean, Like I
mean here, no, no, like yeah, like he's he's there now.
And I'm just saying if he's the number because I
don't think you and I don't and I don't think
(28:23):
most people don't think of him as one of those
guys that can win MVP. Right, we got our guy,
our seven or eight guys maybe tend that you really think, Okay,
if they have a great year they could win MVP.
He's not one of them, and so that's what if
they remain the number one seed and he continues to
do what he's doing. Could you I know you're not
(28:46):
a voter, but could you vote for him? Could you
see him winning it? I mean, I can't say no
if he was yes, but I'm just saying right here,
right now, I don't believe he will win the MVP.
In other sports, I mean, we've seen Matt Ryan, We've
seen quarterbacks that aren't like all time greats. You know
(29:06):
what I mean, when we have a one year and
they do it here there right, Yeah, no, that the
people are winning and then they never win anything again,
you know what I mean? Right, they can sustain it.
You haven't really seen that in basketball, Like most MVPs
in the NBA are like all time grades, most, you know,
(29:29):
unless they get hurt like Derek Rose, you know, got
hurt after he won his. But it'll be interesting though.
He's playing great. And I'm gonna say this because people
are like, oh, he's breaking Jordan's record. I think rob
It's a few things. One, the pace of play is
a lot faster, so there's a lot more possessions and
opportunities to score two. A lot of guys and then
(29:50):
the Rosen doesn't fall into this category. He doesn't take
a lot of threes. But obviously a lot of guys
are scoring high because a lot of your shots are
worth three points and then four. I mean you and
I've been the games and seeing this. De Mar de
Rosen is a mid range assassin. That's his game in
the mid range, and that's why some teams didn't want
(30:11):
him because they feel like his game is outdated. They
want threes. Not to let that be a lesson to you, guys,
teams and play from a team and player standpoint. Kawhiser
mid range assassin. He has success. Kevin Durant is a
mid range assassin. He has success, and obviously the Rosen,
so don't throw away the midrange game. But rob the
(30:33):
point is this A lot of teams they give you
that shot, like they if you're at the three point line,
they run at you right. They run at you to
run you off the three point line so that you'll
tribble in and take a two point shot. And they
try to protect the rim right, keep you from shooting
inside the paint or shooting at the three so they
(30:55):
give you the mid range shot. And I think that's
part not taking anything away from the because he's capitalizing.
But that's one way he can, you know, have such
such great games because they're they don't really defend the
mint range like they used to. All Right, it's the
I Couple. We will wrap up this funky flashback Friday
(31:16):
next keep it lock though, it's still gonna be fun
for the last fifteen minutes. Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports
Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.

(31:40):
He loves the nightlife. He loves the boogie, and we
are we love the boogie. Two here at the Eye Couple.
We're live from the Fox Sports Radio studios at Rob Parker. Well,
so far, so good, that's all I got to say.
The philadel If his seventy sixers are putting it on
(32:03):
the Minnesota Timbers, and Timbers are a nice little squad
ye last night and now they're playing, you know now
to getting drubbed eighty four to fifty nine. Wow. In
five minutes left in the third quarter. Uh, James Harden Rob,
I gotta give it to him. Look sensational. Twenty points
(32:25):
on seven shots, twenty points on five for seven shooting.
He'd assists, he does, you know, and then lately, you know,
he's had the ball in his hands a little bit.
He's making quick decisions. Step back three is going for him,
and then Bed's getting his He got twenty three points,
(32:46):
nine boards, six to fourteen shooting, and Max he's got sixteen.
So you know, I know it's early, but so far
they look nice. Start. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna give
him some credit for this first opening night, but let's
stick with the NBA. Rob and Zion Williamson. Now, you know,
there's even in the news a lot. Jj Reddick former
(33:10):
teammates said he's a detached teammate. Stan Van Gundi, who
coached him, said that he was, you know, when he's
away from the team, he said, when he's playing, he's
not detached, but when he's away from the team, he's
kind of a loner. Likes to be him with himself,
by himself, and you know, if he's not playing, he
might be a little down because he's heard or whatever.
(33:32):
But there was a report that came out that said
Zion's disconnect with the Pelicans, and we know he's all
the way in Portland Rob working out trying to rehab
his injuries. They said, this disconnect with the Pelicans is
due to a lack of trust in David Griffin, the
(33:53):
general manager. And we know there was a story that
came out that Griff tried to impress Zion by playing
the piano for him, right, I don't know that. Was
there some intel that Zion used to play the piano
as a kid. I don't know. Um. I was told
by someone that had a friend on the coaching staff,
(34:14):
understanding Van Gundhi, that they felt like Griffin just babied him,
like let Zion get away with whatever he wanted, didn't
want him to be coached hard and just try to
appease him. But sometimes Rob people don't like that, you
know what I mean. I don't know. I'm not saying
Zion necessarily wanted tough love. But you know, if somebody's
(34:36):
clearly cow towing to you one, you might not respect them. Right.
There's always you can lose somebody's respect because they're like yo,
this dude, this dude like the Brown Nos and just
stayed right, like, dude, come on and to Rob. You
don't trust them because you think he's just doing this
(34:57):
because he wants something, and is he is he doing
this with other people? You know what I mean? Like,
I gotta I gotta admit though, I mean, how old
is Zion Chris now? Twenty one? Maybe I'll look it up,
but yeah, twenty one? BROC. Really about the GM, I
just I just I just like, what what did GM do?
(35:17):
I just can't Uh, he didn't make a trade at
the trade deadline or he didn't call. I mean for
Zion to be worried about it? Yeah, I mean, what
is it? I don't know. I you know, I hadn't
been there that long. He's twenty one. Because he's twenty,
you're worried. You're worried about that. I just can't get over, Like,
what's the class with a grown man? You're twenty one
(35:39):
and you're just starting out and you're trying to, you know,
get acclimated to the NBA. When you've played, you you've
torn it up, you know what I mean? With his numbers?
What would be to disconnect? I just don't. I feel
you don't like you cannot trust him, But I'm still
signing that contract. He's at least of my worries. At
(36:03):
twenty one. My job is to go out there and
establish myself. That's what I'm talking about, Chris. I'm serious,
like honestly, Rob at twenty one, most dudes, and I
don't even really blame them, but let's be honest, Rob
at twenty twenty one, most dudes in that early part
of their career aren't really they want to win, sure,
but you know what I'm saying, their number one goal
is let me establish myself as a star so I
(36:27):
can get that MAX contract. Because yeah, we don't even
hold him to that degree of accountability. Right if you
don't win a championship earlier, nobody's holding it against you.
Lebron didn't make the playoffs first two years, Nobody held
that against him, and so I that's a good point.
I mean, what could it be, But I'll tell you this,
(36:47):
I don't know what it could be. But if I'm
facing the prospect of losing Zion Williamson and my choice
is Zion or the GM, who's David Griffin, Bye Griff
Bye See you you mean NBCU later. Yes, I'm sorry.
(37:10):
You ain't pat Riley, you're not Jerry West. You guys
to go come into that simple Rob Zion Williamson if
he plays, is great. All right, all right, couple, have
a great weekend. We'll see you guys next week. Keep
(37:31):
it locked, Jason Smith, Mike Norman, Peach,
