(00:26):
The way tire buying should be Hartman and Ornburger. We
are set to go, Richie. I'm looking at nine games
about to kick off. Let's run down the list. Texans
at the Bears, Raiders at the Titans, Chiefs at the Cold's,
Bills at the Dolphins. Big game there, Lions at the Vikings,
Ravens at the Patriots, Bengals at the Jets, Eagles at

(00:47):
the Commanders, and Saints at the Panthers. We've got a
lot to cover here. And if you've never heard Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio, it's very simple, Rich and I
will literally tell you everything that's going on. If we can't,
Sam Ryan will. We got open mix everywhere trying to
follow a nine games simultaneously. It is week three, and

(01:08):
you know, rich when you think about it, we're only
three weeks into an eighteen week schedule, seventeen games schedule,
and there are teams that need to win today or
their playoff chances pretty much go up and smoke. Yeah,
I'm looking at the Fox broadcast now. There was a
sideline shot of Davante Adams Josh McDaniels out in Tennessee
right now, because you got the Titans as one of

(01:31):
those oh and three teams, and the Raiders is one
of those own three or excuse me, oh and two
teams where if they dropped to oh and three, you
can pretty much kiss playoff hopes goodbye unless something extraordinary
happens around the division, around the conference. It's just it's
it's too talented of an a f C to have

(01:51):
a start that poorly and expect any sort of postseason opportunities.
So yeah, we're looking at one of these games play
out in live and living color. Absolutely. I mean, it
is a must win game for one of those teams,
the Raiders and Titans both owing to Meanwhile, just kicking
off right now, the biggest game in the morning. The
Bills have been as good, if not better than advertised

(02:13):
to blowout victories to open up their season, going against
the Dolphins team that we watched last week engineer one
of the most remarkable comebacks I've ever seen on the
road against the Ravens. Down thirty five to fourteen in
the fourth quarter, they scored twenty eight on the road
to steal that game from the Ravens. So they're two
and oh, feeling pretty good about themselves. Now they're taking

(02:35):
on the Bills. And you know again, I I said
before the season, Mike McDaniel to me, was the most
intriguing new coach higher in the NFL. I didn't know
what to expect. Was he just a product of the
Kyle Shannon's situation San Francisco? Was he some kind of
creative mad genius? All I know is they acquired Tyreek
Kill and that has been an incredible game changer for

(02:57):
their offense for two a tongue of voloa. And now
they're gonna try to match wits with a Bill's team
that is just crushing everybody right now. You know, and
and I the easy reaches Tyreek Hill, And I'm not
arguing with you. I think that he has been tremendous
for this team. They don't win that game without Tyreek Hill.
But I also give a ton of credit more so
actually to Mike McDaniel. I think the offense looks varied.

(03:19):
I think the route concepts exploit what a defense UH
is susceptible to. I think Mike McDaniel is one of
those bright young offensive coaches who's sort of been you know,
blessed with upbringing that you know, the Kyle Shanahan route
and uh and the Sean McVeigh route, and he himself
has enjoyed sort of that track. Kevin O'Connell has gotten

(03:41):
some of that, Matt laflour has gotten some of that.
You know, these guys kind of all came from the
same crew going up and they're they're really bright guys.
They understand positional versatility offensively, and they they play to
Their quarterback strength is to uh the best quarterback in
the league. No, not by a long shot. But can
he play in the system that my that Mike McDaniel
has put together for him, Yeah, and he can have

(04:03):
success and we're seeing it earlier this season. Absolutely. Another
game that we're watching now is the Ravens and Patriots.
Think about Mike McDaniel, right his first two games against
Belichick and Harbaugh too, celebrated coaches, and he has two wins.
Now those two teams, both having the single loss to
the Miami Dolphins, are playing on the road in New England,
and for Belichick, this is a big game. The Ravens

(04:25):
gotta be reeling. Last week, literally we were celebrating Lamar Jackson,
like Wow, the guys just putting up m VP votes
all over the place. He had this incredible game and
then they collapse in that fourth quarter. Um, So the
Ravens have got to be reeling a little bit after
that loss. But New England right now, there are a
lot of question marks just how good are these paths?

(04:45):
Can Belichick keep them in the conversation in terms of
a postseason run. If anyone can do it, he certainly can.
But he's got challenges because they don't have a lot
of weapons on offense, No, they really don't. You know,
you're counting on a galore basically to be your your
prominent past catcher. And you have Harris out of the
backfield and then Mac Jones, who looked he's in his

(05:08):
second year. It was a nice first season. I think
they did a good job hiding him a little bit offensively,
and they really feasted on their defense, keeping them in
games and keeping the scores close, and well, good for them. Um,
that's a recipe that has been successful for the Patriots
for a very long time. And frankly, I almost sort
of feel like everybody's waiting for the Patriots defense this

(05:30):
game to show them sort of the answer key to
this Ravens defense or or offense, because they absolutely cooked
the Dolphins defensively. That was a shootout, all right. Another
team desperate for a win, the Indianapolis Colts embarrassingly got
shut out by Jacksonville after tying the Texans, and they
have just gotten a break on a fumbled Ryan was

(05:52):
at a fumbled punt. Okay, so a punt rate turned
from the Chiefs was fumbled recovered by the Colts, so
they have a first and all at the Chief's four
yard line. A lot of people shaking their head about
the Colts. Matt Ryan is not playing well. Uh, you know,
and because they've been trailing, they haven't been able to
utilize as much as they want their best weapon, obviously

(06:13):
one of the best running backs in late Jonathan Taylor. Um.
So you know, the Chiefs have looked very good so far. Uh.
A couple of wins under their bell, trying to prove
to everyone, Hey there's life after Tyreek Hill. So far,
so good. But this is a desperate Colts team and
they've got to win this game. Yeah. Frank Reich is
one of those coaches who have a tremendous amount of
belief and faith in I played with him as my

(06:36):
offensive coordinator my my final season in San Diego when
I was playing for the Chargers. He's a really great leader,
really bright, offensive minded coach, and he understands quarterbacks, being
a former quarterback himself. What they need is their offensive
line to play to the Billing. Uh. They have not
done a nice job opening up run lanes and protecting
Matt Ryan. Last game he got sacked a lot, and

(06:57):
you can't have that. This is a quarterback in the
late thirties. His quarterback's gonna need some time in the
pocket to operate this offense. And and this offensive line,
who's been tasked as being one of the or credited
with being one of the best in the league, needs
to do a better job. All Right. The Bills are
driving right now against some Miami defense. So getting back
to the Colts, now, they have a third and goal

(07:19):
at the one yard line. Inside the one yard line,
a couple of handoffs right now to Jonathan Taylor trying
to get across. They're gonna pass on third and one,
and it is a touchdown Colts. Yeah, yeah, that was
just Chief's defense got lost their back in the end zone.
Throw and Ryan to Woods his tight end for the score.

(07:39):
And they made that look easy. All right. So you
start your opening drive, you have to punt, You get
the ball back down near the goal line, and you
get the first points on the board. Actually, the truth
is the first points on the board was a Detroit
Lions field goal from forty eight yards out. So they
lead right now? Or actually did that miss? No? Miss?
Not missed that right? Yeah? Miss field there. So the

(08:00):
first score of the game is the cold and we
have our first miskick of the day there it is
right there. Um so often running we go. Meanwhile, watching
the Bills right now, they're at the thirty yard line
of Miami. This Bill's team, and when you look at
their two wins so far, yikes, uh, that's a plus
fifty five and point differential. The Bills were the preseason

(08:20):
favorites in Vegas to win the Super Bowl and they
are looking that good. Yeah, they really. Josh Allen has
been unbelievable by the way. Early lead for the Bears.
They just kicked the field goal in their game hosting
the Texans. Yeah, Josh Allen, this this Bill's offense is unstoppable.
But I don't think this defense is getting enough credit.
I really don't. They shut out the super Bowl champs

(08:42):
for a half h they they absolutely dominated the Titans,
who are a good team. They've been a good team
for a long time and they have seen absolutely dominated
held them to seven points. This Bills teems if they
stay on this war path. I know it's week two
headed into week three this morning. I understand that everybody
speak in hyperbolic terms, so this is going to sound

(09:02):
ridiculous week three of the NFL season, But pretty soon here,
if they continue on the path there on, we'll be
talking about how this team ranks historically, because that's how
good they look on paper. Now. Micah Hyde safety important
piece of the puzzle as the season ending neck injury
that's gonna have an effect. They've had some other injuries
they've been dealing with, so we'll see. You gotta stay healthy, obviously,

(09:24):
through a seventeen game season. All right, we do have
our first field goal of the day courtesy of Santos
so the Bears forty eight yard or the Bears taken
early three not they lead against the text and so
we got nine games going on right now, The Bills
are at second and two right now at the Miami
eight yard line. Quick pass goes absolutely nowhere. I just

(09:44):
can't wait to see this Miami offense. I agree with
you on that Bill's defense. They're a little under uh
rated because their offense has been so prolific. Oh, we
got some pushing and shoving going on right now. Stefan
Diggs not happy with the tackling. There's a flag on
the play. I wonder if this is gonna be a
personal foul against somebody because this was dropped well after

(10:05):
the play was dead. Yeah, you had you had a
bunch set out to the left side the offensive formation
supposed to be a quick screen, bubble screen out there.
Digs got wrapped up around the neck area emeral boll
against Miami, grown to the ground by another defender. So yeah,
that's gonna be half the distance to the goal with
a fresh set of downs for the Buffalo Bills. Wow. Well,

(10:27):
if you're Miami, the last thing you need to do
is be handing free first down. So this Buffalo Bills offense,
they did a pretty good job of stuff. Oh yeah,
he can't I mean, come on, I mean, can't be
shoving guys in the howard. Yeah. Look, one of the
things that you know, based off of last week, the
defensive coordinator called out, especially the Miami Dolphins secondary because

(10:48):
it was a score fest the Ravens. For as much
as we're talking about Miami offensively, how about the Ravens offensively.
They had their way with this team. Bad snap, fumbled snap,
Josh Allen falls on it, first and goal turns into
second goal from the six yard line, taking a loss
of one yard there. Yeah, I mean the Dolphins got
completely embarrassed. So I'm not surprised that we're seeing some

(11:10):
eagerness defensively to get in the face of the star
player Stefon Diggs, especially since the Bills have drove the
field and gotten it down inside the ten. Here all right,
if you've never listened to Fox Sports Red Zone Radio,
this is the only place you need to be to
get your full coverage of everything going on. Around the
National Football League. Keep it right here. Much more coming

(11:32):
up on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Are you ready
for some football? Uiman update? This is Fox Red Zone Radio,
and we've got the place that you may have missed.

(11:57):
Man of Hell play fake through, right, flat swam all alone,
touch Dad Titans Now back live to the studios of
Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right,

(12:19):
So that's w g f X one or four point
five Titans Radio Network. Titans with the quick score, take
a seven nothing lead over the Raiders. Welcome back. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We're live from the
tire Rag dot com studios in our absence. We got
a lot of scoring going on. Let's hear from the Colts.
Shotgun from Matt Ryan. Jonathan Taylor says, back to the right.

(12:41):
Grandson motions to the left. Matt Ryan to throw in
Zoe fires and it's call rally Fox Woods. It's to
Lonnie Woods for a touchdown. Colts Radio Network, seven nothing,
Colts quick lead against the Chiefe. Bills are rolling David's
white left side. The snap Josh looks his way by

(13:02):
a short left side in his cart. Touchdown Buffalo cut
by Devin Singletary in the end zone for the Buffalo touchdown.
W g R five fifty bills Radio Network, seven nothing
bills over the Dolphins. Let's get a Bengal score. Burrow
drops back to throw, looking back, pedaling, stepping left, scrambling left,

(13:23):
still looking to throw his pass, caught at the goal line.
Touchdowns Sam J. P Ryan God opened his Burrow, scrambled,
he caught it right at the goal line, and the
Bengal score. Bengals Radio Network. They have a seven nothing
lead against the Jets and Rich. The Bengals are definitely
a team in need of a win. City at O
and two. Once again team loses the Super Bowl, there's

(13:44):
always that hangover the next year. The Jets of corps
had that inexplicable win last week against the Browns, So
anytime you lose to the Jets, it's not good. Uh
And the Bengals trying to avoid that today. Well, is
it inexplicable or is it explicable? Because I'm watching the
Jets drive on the Cincinnati Bengals right now. Just connected

(14:05):
Flacco to Wilson for huge gain over the midfield. Mark Uh, So,
I don't know, I I don't know what's going on
in New York. Maybe they they changed out the gatorade
or something, but it's working. Whatever they're doing, keep doing it.
They trail seven nothing right now, but they're definitely giving
this defense a hard time. In Wilson, boy, oh boy,
has he been special for the Jets this season early

(14:27):
in the goings? Yeah, you know, Uh, how about Joe Burrow? Uh?
You know everything we heard about Joe Burrow this this offseason,
cool as a cucumber, the leader, the franchise, this is
this is everything the city of Cincinnati has needed or
wanted for a very long time, and they're still not
able to protect him. That That's my biggest takeaway is
this offensive line has been completely revamped, three new faces upfront,

(14:50):
starters from around the league, and they're still really struggling
to keep the pocket clean for Joe Burrow. Alright, Another
team on a roll, your favorite team, the Detroit Lions
in early have a nothing lead against the Vikings. How
about Jared Goff. He's throwing the ball well six for
seven ninety one yards on their opening drive. Jamal Williams
with the touchdown runs. So the Lions have a six

(15:10):
seven nothing lead on the road against the Vikings sucking
drive there. They missed the field goal on the first one,
and then we got this touchdown from Williams. So the
Lions from the two Jamal Williams the single back golf
up under center golf turns gives to Jamal left side
head down in touchdown. Detroit Lions w x y T

(15:34):
FM ninety seven one, the Ticket Lions Radio network. So
we got six to go in the first quarter there. Meanwhile,
the Town Ravens first score in this battle in Foxborough,
and it looks like a shovel pass to Mark Andrews
up the center of the formation. Saw that from the
Kansas City Chiefs a million times over on film, and
they're like, hey, why don't we try it ourselves? So

(15:54):
Andrews gets in. The Ravens lead the Patriots six. Nothing.
Yeah again. Last week, Lamar Jackson for most of the
game had a perfect passer rating on top of a
seventy five plus yard touchdown run. He was having an
m v P day, and we forgot about it after
the Dolphins scored twenty eight and that fourth quarter to
pull out the victory. Meanwhile, the Dolphins get stopped on

(16:17):
third and two, they will punt after considering going for
it on fourth and two. So the Dolphins, they cannot
have a lot of punts in this game. You're gonna
have to score and score a lot to keep with
the Bills. Meanwhile, I'm seeing the Panthers getting into the
end zone. Marcus Haynes, Right, there is in the end

(16:38):
zone for the Panthers. I believe it's a fumble recovery
in the touchdown. I was gonna say when you see
ninety eight in the end zone, Uh, there was a
penalty declined. So we have a touchdown for the Panthers,
taking a sixth nothing lead, penning the extra point against
the Saints. Yeah, let's give this a closer look. Alvin
Kamara with the ball, gets it dripped by one of

(17:01):
the Panthers linebackers, and really good job by Hanes scooping
and scoring. He had a convoy of blockers in front
of him. And that's the problem when you fumble near
your own goal line, these things will happen. So Panthers
take a lead in that game. A couple of field
goals here. The Jets do get a field goal, cut
that lead to seven to three. Also, the Raiders have

(17:22):
gotten a field goal so they cut that lead of
the Titans too, seven to three. We got a lot
of action going on early. Yeah, no kidd and and
and that that should be one of the more competitive
games on television today because again we all seen the statistics.
Oh and to your chances of making the postseason are
if he at best you dropped ohen three, your seasons cooked.

(17:44):
So Tennessee Titans and the Raiders. I hate to call
any game of must win this early in the season,
but this is a must win at Nissan Stadium. One
of these teams is not going to punch a ticket
to the postseason depend and and maybe both, but it
absolutely comes down to today for one of these teams. Alright,
no miss extra points. So far Carolina's extra point is
good seven nothing, Carolina leading the Saints. Both these teams. Look,

(18:09):
Carolina is another oh and two team. Actually was only
five oh and two teams after two weeks. Uh so
there was a short list. The Carolina Panthers, of course,
being led by Baker Mayfield, who's been trying to prove
to everybody that there's some game left in him. Well,
and the same thing on the other side with Jamis Winston,
who gave the game away in the fourth quarter to

(18:30):
the Buccaneers last outing. Both of these quarterbacks are really
on their last chance to be starters in this league
and both of them struggling out the gate touchdown Bears
Khalil Herbert with a rushing touchdown. All right, so the
Bears get in the end. So there's another team that
you know, they sort of stole that first game against
the forty Niners and that driving rain storm in Chicago

(18:53):
last week, they got exposed. Um, we got a lot
going on right now, especially with the forty Niners a
little bit later on, we gotta get into that whole.
Jimmy Garoppolo taken over last week after the injury to
trade lance and now there's all the story that have
had been for the shoulder surgery. He could have ended
up with Washington. There were some trade talks that's worked

(19:14):
out well. For the forty nine. There is no question
that that they still have Jimmy g running this team. Yeah,
Aaron Aaron Drews, who'll be working the sideline for that game,
gonna be joining us a little bit later on in
the eleven o'clock hour. But yeah, Jimmy Garoppolo, who we
found out, you know, almost was traded to Washington. UH
and due to the shoulder surgery, remained with the San
Francisco forty Niners and of course resigned with them. Um resigned.

(19:39):
They restructured his contract to be more team friendly. UH
is now the starting quarterback again. And I promise you
that was the locker room divided and a lot of
people were putting on the team face, you know, saying, hey,
you know, we understand it's a business trade, lances the guy,
let's move on. But Jimmy had a lot of friends.
Jimmy's a good leader. Jimmy's one of those guys who

(19:59):
people came to believe in and depended on and brought
them to two n FC Championship games and won one
of them with this team. So I have a feeling
that there's gonna be a rally of support around Jimmy
Garoppolo here UM when we when we see San Francisco
take on Denver later on today. Another team that a

(20:19):
lot of people feel like have something to prove. You know,
they're sitting at two and oh are the Philadelphia Eagles
that have looked good so far. They look very good
last week. They're on the road against the Commanders today.
No score in that game inside six minutes to go,
give me another highlights. Sam Jackson empties the backfield. He
drift to his right, shovel past Mark Anthrews in para touchdown.

(20:41):
Tremendous play design and execution as Mark Andrews slipped right
three in the Patriot defense and in for six of
the Ravens grabby early League nine Rock Ravens Radio Network,
seven nothing league early against the Patriots. Let's continue and off.
Camara tried to strong so I tried to turn back

(21:01):
balls out. Flag is down, picked up my tarro lotta
Funkey's Hayes fun tucks down there. It is seven the
Fox Panthers Radio Network. Good thing the defense is scoring
because out of the box Baker Meal field is oh
for three passing for the Panther. Wow. Wow, Wow. We
just had a huge play in this Bill's Dolphins game.

(21:22):
Right now, Bills leading seven nothing in Miami. Josh Allen
strip stack on a safety pressure and Melvin Ingram picks
it up, recovers the fumble. Miami's got offense and an
opportunity at the six yard of the Buffalo Bills going
in alright, So right now to a throwing the ball
and they are right at the goal line, right at

(21:43):
the goal line, down at the one. All right, let's
find out what is trending right now in this very
busy NFL Sunday. Nick copees in the house, Nick, how
are you today? What's going on? Guys? This is a fun,
fre netic start to this NFL Sunday. I love it. Wow,
we got a lot of scoring last weekend. We've really
got slow. We're about to see another one right here
to a bunch. Is it good? Is it in the ball? No,

(22:09):
they're gonna rule him down. Yeah, Ford progress stop, but yeah,
he's gonna be stopped short of the goal. On Miami,
they're trying to even the score with Buffalo. The Bills
got their touchdown earlier Devin's singletary with a touchdown reception.
So seven nothing in Miami inside five minutes to play
in the first quarter. Let's quickly run down the rest
of the slate. We've got nine games here in the
early window. The Bears, they've got a tender nothing lead.

(22:31):
Herbert gets out of ten to the five, angling to
the goal line. He is in for the touchdown touchdowns
kla Herbert in from eleven yards and it's a nine
nothing Bears lead sixty five ago extra point made it
tend nothing. Chicago audio courtesy of w BBM News Radio

(22:51):
seven eight a m and one oh five nine Bears
Radio Network, All Chicago ten zip early on, big run
for Equanimius st Brown in that one, and it looks
like my Miami on seconding goal still not gonna get him,
and it looked like he might be able to get
there on the handoffs. So still seven nothing in favor
of Buffalo for the time being. Elsewhere, the Titans up
seven to three on the Raiders. Strong start for Ryan

(23:13):
Tannehill seven for eight a hundred twelve yards and a touchdown.
Colts still leading the Chiefs seven to zip as they
took advantage of that muff punt early on. Elsewhere, Lyons
seven nothing over the Vikings. They dwinked a forty eight
yard field goal from Austin Siebert early on, but Jamal
Williams with the touchdown after they converted on fourth down
earlier in that drive. Jared Goff looking good early on

(23:35):
six of seven yards Patriots and the Ravens at seven nothing. Baltimore,
Lamar Jackson six or eight fifty seven yards and a
touchdown Bengals seven to three over the Jets at the moment,
Bengals getting a touchdown reception from Soma J. P Ryan
twelve yards out for the lead. There no score between
the Eagles and the Commanders. Not much statistically to report.

(23:57):
And then we had that scoop six moments ago for
Kara Lina Markeys Haynes picking it up for the Panthers
and returning in about half the length of the field.
Seven nothing Panthers, all these games getting late in the
first quarter now, and then as far as news around
the league, you guys mentioned that forty Niners had an
offseason deal to send Jimmy Garoppolo to the Commanders, but
that fell apart when Garoppolo elected to have soldiers surgery.

(24:20):
And then Fox Sports is Jay Glazer reports at the
NFL sent a memo to all teams threatening punishment for
breaking tablets and other league issued equipment. I think you
know what that's all about. Tom Brady at last Sunday,
we saw him break one on camera. Apparently the reports
say there was a second tablet that was broken throughout
the course of the game as well. And then no
it's a football Sunday. But in baseball reports say that

(24:41):
the Marlins Don Mattingly will not return as manager next season.
Back to you guys, Steve Hartman, Rich Ornberger. All right, well,
nick uh, Tom Brady should be basically suspended for the
rest of the air if he continues to break to Miami. Wow,
so finally opened up after knocking on the door. But
they are in the end zone. Chase Edmonds scores on
a rush right up the gut. They tried it with

(25:03):
the fullback and then they give it to Edmunds just
a cut back there. So seven six Buffalo still leads.
We'll see if Miami contact on the extra point here. Wow,
we got a lot of scoring going on early on
and this week three. Rich from your own experience in
the NFL, you get to the third week of the season,
all right, and again it's a long year, eighteen weeks,
seventeen games. But this is like that first week where

(25:26):
you start looking at certain teams where you're saying, all right,
is this team legit? Is this team not legit? Does
this team need to win this week? We I know
it's early, but it's no exaggeration for certain teams in
week three. Yeah, I I would say this, you have
no idea what you are or who you are yet.
And this is every team across the league. And I've

(25:47):
played on teams where we stumbled out the gates and
we were great, and we had a great season, and
we were one of those teams you know in the
in the postseason tournament. And I've been on teams. I've
been on a team that's at four now and we
want a single game after that, you know. So you
have no idea what type of team you have until
you're getting closer to the middle of the season. But

(26:10):
I can promise you there are certain teams right now
who are saying, hey, we're building something special. And there
are other teams looking at themselves in the mirror right
now and thinking, if we don't start playing like we're
capable of our seasons over in September. Alright. The Titans
came into this game oh and two of the Raiders
boat team. So on two or at the end of
the first quarter, Titans leading seven and three. They now

(26:30):
have a first and ten at the Vegas fourteen yard line.
A guy that's been under a lot of heat is
Ryan Tannehill. But right now he's playing great today, seven
of eight hundred twelve yards and a score. Derrick Henry,
who's been missing an action, averaging just three point one
yards per carry the first two weeks, barely fifty yards
per game. He has six carries twenty three yards. So

(26:51):
this is a team that remember was the number one
seed a year ago in the a f C. Mike Vrabel,
try to get this team on track. They got absolute
annihilated by the Bills last week. So the Titans trying
to rebound. Uh and right now they are in good
shape up seven to three and inside the red zone
of the Raiders. Meanwhile, we have a second and goal

(27:12):
for the Texans. They're downtend nothing early on the road
against the Bears and they're in the end zone. Touchdown Texans.
So the Texans get into the end zone to get
on the board in that game, looks like Davis Mills
found his tight end up top back of the end zone.
Just a gorgeous throw. The only places receiver at a
shot at it Aigins. Yes, yeah, I'll tell you I

(27:33):
have been really impressed with Davis Mills. I understand it's
the Houston Texans and we're not gonna talk a ton
of Houston Texans football because they're not gonna be all
that great this season. But geez, Davis Mills, that's ah,
that's a pretty steady hand at the at the rutter.
I'm I'm I'm very curious to see where the story
goes from here with Mills, and and if the Houston

(27:57):
is is even all that interested in finding a quarterback
to place him with, because he's he's pretty solid, he's
pretty good quarterback. The the Jets have gotten the field
goal after a Jamaar Chase Fumba recovered by the Jets.
So that's the second field goal of the game. Bengals
leading the Jets by a score of seven is six.
By the way, the Bengals are getting some good production

(28:18):
out of Joe Burrow so far ten six yards and
a score. Joe Mixon is their sole running game two carries,
negative one yards. No running games so far for the Bengals.
Give me another highlights, Sam takes it. Gives it the
admits of cruises into the end zone. Touchdown Miami. All right,
so there is Miami tying up that game. That was

(28:38):
the Dolphins radio network. Seven seven is the score there,
Ryan I understand the Chiefs are on the board, just
found Kelsey in the end zone, their Mahomes and and
eight seven hooking up again for another touchdown. It's just
I mean, you can write it almost in your memo.
Every game we're gonna see one of those, because that's

(28:58):
that's just been what it's been for all the years
that Mahomes been the starting quarterback in Casey. By the way,
with that touchdown passed. So far this season in two
games plus a quarter Patrick Mahomes has eight touchdown passes,
no interceptions. He's pretty good as it turns out. You know,
the Kansas City Chiefs, they may have really they may
have figured out who their quarterback in the future is

(29:19):
gonna be. I look, call me crazy, I think I
think they got that thing squared away. Yeah. Mahomes off
to a hot start, a rocket hot start, especially when
you think about last season slow start for the Chiefs offense.
A lot of questions about, hey, did the league finally
figure out Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes? Is this the
year we see them stumble? And then they're back in
the n FC Championship. Rick Henry gets in the end

(29:41):
zone one yard touchdown, So the Titans now lead the
Raiders fourteen to three. By the way, and his last
twenty four games as a head coach in the NFL,
Josh McDaniels is five and nineteen. Yeah, yeah, all the
way back to his days in Denver right after that
six and oh start and then it went completely haywire
and he's oh and two and now down fourteen to

(30:02):
three in his third game. So again, you know the
legacy of Belichick disciples that have coached under him in
the NFL as far as their NFL coaching. The over instance,
there was a guy that was his assistant in Cleveland
named Nick Saban who did pretty well uh post, but
I mean Josh McDaniels. I was one of those guys
that was convinced, all right, Josh McDaniels must have learned

(30:24):
a lot. And now he gets a second opportunity with
the Raiders. I know we're just two two games and
a quarter into his coaching career, but man, they need
to win. They need to win in a big way.
And they they have real problems offensively with their offensive line.
Um that is the struggle bus. And it was another
sort of game of musical chairs this week. I think
they called up a player from the practice squad who's

(30:46):
getting his first career start today. So this is a
problem for the Raiders and it's not gonna slow down
anytime soon. They need this road victory. And they trail
right now by eleven points to the Tennessee Titans. After
that Henry touchdown, all right, the Patriots it into the
red zone of the Ravers. Ravens now they have a
thirty four yard field goal attempt. That's good. So the
Patriots are on the board. Ravens lead this game by

(31:08):
a score of seven to three. Mac Jones off to
a good start for for four or eight one yards,
Lamar Jackson six of eight fifty seven yards a score.
Heels has run for thirteen yards. I mean, Lauar Jackson
certainly showed it last week. That loss isn't on him.
That was on that defense collapsing in the fourth coarter
against the Dolphins. But you know he's already said, no,

(31:29):
there's no contract. We're done with contract talks. I'm gonna
play out the season. He's gonna get a hefty paid
at some point. Oh yeah, there's no question about at
Bill Belichick was actually alluding to that very point Hey,
let's go to the update desk, Nick Cope, what do
you got for us? And some injury news here for
the Bears. They've got the ten to seven lead on
the Texans, but David Montgomery has a knee and ankle injury.
He's doubtful to return. And also the wide receiver Byron

(31:52):
Pringle calf injury, he is doubtful to return. So strong
start for Chicago, but some key players now out for
the Bears. All right, Nick, thank you very much. Show
we'll have all these updates. How about the Texans? They
got on the board, Davis fakes to give, Davis looked in,
firing left side of the end zone and cut touchdown Houston.
Jordan Nakins, Welcome back, Texans Radio Network. Bear still lead

(32:15):
that game ten to seven, three thirty three to go
in the first quarter. I can't remember Sunday. I know
it's early in the season where we've had this mess scoring.
I mean, yeah, we're getting teams in the end zone.
We got an interception. It looks like you got the
Houston Texans who are just celebrating. Defensively, Let's see what
happened here? Was this a trick play where they did

(32:37):
they have the running back throw that or was that fields?
Either way, the Houston Texans just picked off the Chicago Bears,
so it'll be Texans ball when play resumes. All right,
we'll continue on. As you can hear. It is a
very busy Sunday, nine games currently underway. Keep it right here.

what the touch downe Now back live to the studios

(34:00):
of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio.
That's one oh six five the Wolf and the Chief's
Radio network. Chiefs missed the extra point. There's our first
miss extra point of the day. So the Colts still
have a seven to six lead over the Chiefs ten

(34:21):
twenty three to go in the first half in that game.
Welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio live
from the ti iraq dot com studios. We got all
kinds of highlights gifts. Henry left cards into the end zone.
Titan Kenrick, Henry Tip, Peter w G f acts one

(34:45):
oh four point five Titans Radio network. That gave the
Titans of fourteen to ten, fourteen to three lead, but
the Raiders have answered back on a touchdown pass from
Derek Card to Davante Adams. So it's now fourteen to
ten and Titans lading the Raiders to go on the
first top. Both these quarterbacks, by the way, Ryan Tannehill

(35:05):
eight of nine five yards and a score, Derek Carr
nine of ten ninety three yards and a score. So
both these quarterbacks trying desperately to get their team their
first victory of the season off the good Stars. Yeah,
no question about it. And you just saw a long
strike from the Cincinnati Bengals at break here for us
where Joe Burrow was able to find Tyler Boyd number

(35:27):
eighty three, streaking across the field on a deep post route,
took all the way the end zone. So Cincinnati now
leads in New York fourteen six. And here's what that
sounded like. Burrow back to throw blitz coming caught by
Tyler Boyd spreading down the middle of the field of
lunches for the end zone touchdown. Night Cycles on the

(35:51):
final play of the quarter Bengals radio that worry. That's
my favorite color guy because he does that every time.
I call him Rainbow Skoles because it's just a little
bit on top of the frosting. Baby. As you're play
by play guys trying to call the action, you're just
you're yeah, he does he does that the entire time.
By the way, the Lions have scored again, how about

(36:14):
this fourteen nothing Lions on the road against the Vikings.
You talk about a contrast a quarterback so far. Jared
Goffs eleven and fourteen hundred thirty two yards in the score,
Kirk Cousins two for six, seventeen yards at home. Detroit
Lions are absolutely running away with this one early in

(36:35):
the game. And let's hear it turns fakes to Jamal Rolls,
left throws and so talk touchdown Detroit Lions. T J. Hawkinson,
Oh that hard run fake did it again? This is
Goff rolled siety eight all by himself. Yeah, we're seeing
a lot of Titans get in the end zones, well,
especially those from Iowa. He wants to replay that four times.

(36:56):
I'm not gonna let you do that. Sam w x
Y t F ninety seven one to Ticket Lions Radio Network.
So fourteen nothing the Colts, by the way, after the
Chiefs scored missed the extra point, the Cults of counter
with a field goal McLaughlin from forty three yards. So
the Colts extend their lead over the Chiefs to ten

(37:16):
to six. So again we were talking about this week three,
Rich and even though we got a eighteen week schedule,
seventeen game schedule, there are certain teams that are desperate today,
the Colts being one of them. They don't want to
have a third straight week without a loss. Tough ordered
against a Chiefs team that's a heavy favor on the road.
But right now the Colts are hanging on. They have
a ten to six lead over the Chiefs. How about

(37:39):
those Eagles Hurts fakes because fact he splings in at
the Goddard, Goddard gets up block Goddars kid at the
town at the five Tuckstowns, Tellos Guddles Tuny three yards,
good block flight take Sat Kelsey, Eagles Radio Network. So
Goddard Woods, Elsie Andrews. So I mean there's like seven

(38:04):
or eight tight ends who've scored touchdowns in the first
quarter of the first or second quarter. Well, right now
the Eagles have a ten and nothing lead on the
road against the Commanders. Eagles coming in two and oh
in this game. They were my pick. One of the
few predictions that's looking good so far for me, there
are very few, but I've been saying all off season
I like the Eagles to win the NFC East, and

(38:24):
they're looking pretty good so far. And I big the
big question is where is the ceiling on Jalen Hurts?
Can he take his game to another level? And so far.
It's early, but he's done just that. By the way,
the Bills have just gotten in the end zone waiting
on the extra point right now, So the Bills with
the extra point. Good, It's fourteen seven Bills, twelve minutes

(38:46):
to go on the first half. Let's hear from the Raiders.
Shotgun to Car settles it to the back of the
end zone. Davante turns around, touchdown Raiders. Savante Adams for
the third straight week, crabs it in the and so
old beautiful spinning catch on a six yard hook up
with Derek Carr and the Raiders back hit it. Raider

(39:07):
Nation Radio nine a m right there. So the Raiders
back in that game, trailing the Titans by a score
of fourteen tim Both these teams oh and too desperate
for a win. By the way, Davante Adams with the Raiders,
Tyreek Hill with the Dolphins. Great receivers are great receivers
no matter where they go. Yeah, it doesn't well. And

(39:28):
also they do need to be paired with competent pass passers.
And in both those cases, I mean Car and TWA
have proved to have very least be competent. In Car's case,
I mean that's a guy who we were talking about
as an m v P half a decade ago. Uh
And and frankly, I think if they get an offensive
line who could protect him, he could be right back
in that conversation. They just have had really poor offensive

(39:51):
lines for a really long time in Oakland and now
Las Vegas Bills and Dolphins fourteen seven Bills. We got
twelve minutes to go in the first half. Listen to
these quarter back numbers. Josh Allen is fifteen of seventeen
fifty yards to touchdown. Go on to a two yards. Yeah,
you know, sometimes you're leaning on the passing games. Sometimes
you're leaning on the rush game. How about Miami has

(40:14):
no offense. Miami has nineteen total yards in this game.
Remember their last drive, though, was generated by a turnover
deep in Bill's territory. And that's the reason why you
got the total yards for Miami. Josh Allen on that
throat Isaai mackenzie just over the middle. That puts them
up by fourteen or excuse me, by seven, uh in Miami.

(40:34):
And this is one of those games. I mean, let's
see what happens at the tail of the tape. All Right,

for the NFL out Fox Focus Well once again, she
is joining us to give us a preview one of
the big games coming up later on in the NFL.
That would be the Packers and the Buccaneers. Aaron Andrews
Fox Sideline reporters joining us. Aaron's great to catch up
with you again. Um, let's get right to this. Uh.
This has been quite a season so far for Tom Brady,

(42:02):
to say the least, he retired, he unretired, he took
time off, extended time during training camp. Now he has
requested an additional day off during the week. Give us
a sense in your conversations with Tom of what's going
on in the world of Tom Brady these days. Yeah.
I actually I'm not trying to correct you here, but
he didn't. That's nothing new from what he's done in

(42:24):
the past couple of years. Um, he's always gotten a
veterans day off, and several other guys is Tom Todd
both pointed out this week to do that as well.
Julio Jones gets one. That's really common with NFL team
Certain guys get better in day off. It was kind
of funny last week in the New Orleans game. Uh,
Tampa Bay's Buccaneers general manager came over to me and said,

(42:44):
why is this the story? And I said, I have
no idea. He always gets a rest day and he
doesn't even take all of them a lot of the time.
This Wednesday, he was supposed to have an off day,
give himself for his rest. He still comes into the facility,
he still comes in and watch his film. He still
goes and gets treatment, but he practiced, so that's a
non story. And then in terms of just the way

(43:05):
the season has gone for the Buccaneers, obviously Tom Brady
there was a retirement, then un retirement, and arians was
the head coach and then he handed it to Todd Bowles.
You know, I mean a lot of distractions off the field,
and some of them obviously affected on the field during
the preseason. How how does this team look in your

(43:26):
opinion when you walk away from some of these production
meetings um heading into this game against the Packers, and
now they look like a two and o team without
a bunch of wide receivers. And as Tom Brady said,
if you would have told him that, you know, a
couple of weeks ago that they would be out with
Mike Evans, they would be out Chris Godwin, you know,
Julio Jones is dealing with some stuff in there too,

(43:47):
and oh he said, we'd take it. Everybody at this
time of year has things to work on. And I
think that's something I learned from Sean Payton, who now
is with us at Fox Offenses. They aren't rolling right away.
I mean, I guess the Buffalo Bills are making that,
you know, kind of comical. But everybody has things to
work on. And that's exactly what Tom told us in
our meeting. Aaron. Everyone talks about this matchup of Brady
versus Rogers. One guy's won seven Super Bowls, has been

(44:11):
to ten Super Bowls. The other guy has been to
one super Bowl and one one. That sounds like a
little mismatch in terms of resumes are concerned. Where is
the mindset of Aaron Rodgers. I know they have a
young receiver, Corey's trying to get things back on track.
Obviously he's a four time m v P back to back,
but I mean there's no comparison and the legacy of
Brady and Rogers. What is the mindset right now of

(44:33):
Aaron Rodgers as he gets to the back end of
his career. I think Aaron Rodgers is being Aaron Rodgers.
I mean, he's one of the best to deal with
on and off the field, and you know he loves
every bit of this matchup today. I mean he was
choking with us. Yeah, Tom's got the Super Bowls, but
I got the m v P S. They're both kind
of dealing with the same thing right now. They're dealing

(44:53):
with banged up offense. They're dealing with they need their
running game to kind of bail them out. They both
have offensive lines that are are, you know, banged up
as well. So these are guys they've seen everything they
know with Week three. In the words of Aaron Rodgers
several years ago, R E l A acts It's fine,
It's all you know. It's a very very long season,

(45:14):
you know, Aaron, I I love talking offensive football. I'm
a former offensive lineman, and obviously quarterbacks those are the
dudes I was protecting during my playing days. But this
is a game that half the time is uh is
your defense is is fighting for their lives out there
and the Packers and the box. One of the things
that's so similar about these two teams is they're playing

(45:35):
great defense right now. Does that get overshadowed by the
fact that Rogers and Brady of the quarterbacks and not
in in the minds of Tampa Bay, their defense has
been unbelievable. I covered that game against New Orleans last week.
It was a full blown defensive battle. I mean, when
you have Todd Bowles as their head coach and he's
talking about what he has to do against Aaron Rodgers

(45:56):
and how do you find the weakest link on that
team for his defense? No, I mean interesting storyline. You're
an offensive former offensive lineman David Batieri is supposed to
make his first start of this season today against this
Tampa Bay Front. Holy cow, what what a what a
defense to try to go up against Devin White is

(46:16):
back to the Devin White and Shock Barrett many players
on this buck see is that is the m v
P right now of this team. And I don't even
think Shack bart is getting talked about enough. I mean,
he's right up there with Aaron Donald right now. He's
been a monster in these two games. You've got a
secondary that's really grown up a bit. They're priding themselves
on communicating a lot better. The addition of Logan Ryan

(46:37):
has been absolutely huge for them. So no, I don't
think the defense is overshadowed at all. They have actually
been a savior for this team. Yeah, and we mentioned
that Aaron Rodger has been sacked seven times in the
first couple of weeks, so you know, as you mentioned,
they've had some injuries on that offensive front. To get
a sense with Rogers that he's got the patients necessary
to bring this team along. I mean we talked about

(46:59):
the youth with or wide receiver corps. Obviously some injuries
on that offensive line. Does he seem I don't know,
a little more patient. You've known Aaron for a long time. Here,
We're gonna come bug you in two seconds. For two seconds. Sorry,
that's cold, Beasley and I need to go talk to him.
I totally missed your question, and I'm gonna tell you
right now, he is going to be a factor today.

(47:22):
What is Tom Brady always loving his career? These little
little wide receivers like who like a Julian Edelman at
Danny m and Dola Wes Welker. He's been here for
three practices and Tom Brady, I'm gonna tell you, sounded
really really excited to have him. So I just saw
him walk by me and I just said, I'm so
excited for you, and I'm gonna run out and talk

(47:43):
to him in a few minutes. Well, you're gonna talk
to him right now, Aaron. We always appreciate thank you
so much for joining us. We'll talk to you later.
Thank you. That's Aaron Andrews. They have Fox, Sideline, a Reporter,
Packers and Buccaneers. It is a complicated you know. It's
funny back in the day when it was Brady and
Peyton Manning and Manning had all the m v P Awards,
but you know, Tom Brady had the Super bowls. Now

(48:04):
all of a sudden, you know, we asked him about
Aaron Rodgers. Guy has been one Super Bowl. Tom Brady
has been to ten. He's won seven. Rodgers has won one.
But Rogers like, well, I got the m v P
s I afford to Brady's three. I'm like, does that matter? Well, well,
what's strange about it is? Yeah, it does. I mean,
it's just it's just to compare the legacy of these
two quarterbacks. Of course you can, but I I think

(48:27):
I think you have to make that argument, right. You
have to look at the individual achievements of one over
the team success of the other. At any point in
Tom Brady's career, has he been the most talented quarterback
in the league. The answer is no. The answer is no,
He's not the best athlete, he doesn't have the best
arm um but one thing that he is is admirably consistent,

(48:49):
and he's got a wonderful football acumen, and I Q
this guy is the sharpest football player maybe who's ever
graced the field before. And so you can make up
for a lot of those physical attributes that other quarterbacks have,
like Aaron Rodgers, for example, who, as you pointed out,
won those three m v ps and has had substantial
significant Now excuse me, four got back to back, so

(49:14):
he has one more m v P award. Okay, so
four m vps the three seven Super Bowls to one.
Look if if, if we're being very honest, Aaron Rodgers,
in my opinion, would trade his legacy for Tom's because
that's what this is about your teammate. First, you want
to win for your guys, team sport. You want to
be able to hoist the Lombardi Trophy and celebrate with

(49:35):
your friends, with your brothers, with the family you've created
on that football field. And so trust me when I
tell you, like like when you talk legacies, there's no
question that, uh, Aaron Rodgers admires what Tom Brady has
been able to accomplish over the course of his career,
and vice versa. Two though, because Aaron Rodgers has had
an admirable career as well, so we're really splitting hairs

(49:58):
when we talk about those two. By the way, I
want to just do a quick rundown on the scoreboard
here to update you. Texans now leading the Bears fourteen ten,
and Bears were up ten nothing in this game. Texans
style leading fourteen ten seven half minutes to go in
the first half. The Titans now up twenty one to
ten over the Raiders. This was their latest score health
steaking scoring text Titans w g F X one or

(50:25):
four point five Titans Radio Network. Titans over the Raiders.
By the way, Ryan Tannehill thirteen and fifteen hundred eighty
yards and a score. He's on fire right now. Cole
still leading the Chiefs ten to six, four minutes to
go in the first half. There, the Dolphins tied up
their game with the Bills. Bills have dominated this game
on the statue, but the the Dolphins man they are resilient,

(50:48):
tied fourteen all four minutes to go in the first half.
The Lions hanging onto a fourteen seven lead over the
Vikings inside the seven minute mark in the first half.
Their Patriots have now taken a ten seven lead over
the Ravens five minutes ago in the first half. Let's
hear that pat score back the Lord to split left,
three to the right, including Humphrey outside of Henry Stevenson behind.

(51:10):
Jones now sprints in motion to the right, shot to
stop him. Mac. He looks to the middle. He's gonna
run it up. He's gonna r over a touchdown. Patriots
half the league sports help and the Patriots radio network.
So ten seven Patriots over the Ravens. Bengals looking good
right now lead the Jets seventeen to six inside the

(51:30):
seven minute mark in that game in the first half.
Eagles continue to lead the Commanders ten nothing inside six
minutes to go in the first half, and the Panthers
thirteen nothing lead at home against the Saints were in
decide three minutes in the first half in that game.
Give me a few more scores here, Sam Davis digs in.
Here's the snap. Here's the gift Pierce running left to

(51:52):
the doll line, fighting his way in for his first
NFL touchdown as the Texans grabbed the lead. All right,
so that right there is the Texans radio network. You mentioned.
They lead fourteen to ten. Keep it coming. Sam back
controls Texas quick craft the second touchdown in as many games.

(52:15):
All right, so there it is the Dolphins tyning up
with the Bills fourteen. Oh, let's stop right there, Rich
because this is a game. Josh Allen is nineteen yards,
a couple of scores in this game, time of possession,
very one sided in favor of the Bills. And yet
here we are inside four minutes ago in the half
and it's fourteen all with the Dolphins. Yeah, pretty impressive

(52:35):
what you've seen from the Dolphins here. They started out
sluggishly offensively. The Buffalo Bills. They scored the opening drive touchdown.
Then the Miami Dolphins go five plays and punt, but
then off of the strip sack they get in the
end zone with the Chase Edmunds score. Buffalo answers right
back with Isaiah Mackenzie the short passing touchdown over the middle,

(52:56):
and then the Dolphins take the ball after kickoff. Nine
play is eighty three yards and you heard that River
Craig craft uh touchdown pass from two a tongue of Valoa.
This is a resilient football team and playing against one
of the NFL's top defenses in the Buffalo Bills. If
you had told me that at this point, Tyreek Hill
has one catch for eleven yards and Jalen Waddle has

(53:18):
one catch for seventeen yards, and the Dolphins are tied
with the best team in the NFL, which the Bills
have been the first couple of weeks. I said, no way,
there's something going on in Miami. That's all I can
tell you. There is something going on in Miami. Uh
what Also, get back to this Indianapolis Kansas City game.
Colts still lead this game ten to six. Mahomes after

(53:39):
a hot start is sort of cooled off. In fact,
right now Kansas City, two minutes to go in the half,
the two minute warning, they only have ninety four total yards.
So the Colts defense has shown up today. Yeah, the
Colts defense is playing really good football. I believe, you know,
we have six screens going right now. But I believe
the Forest Buckner first game back from injury, and it's

(54:00):
been a punt fest. Outside of the one touchdown drive
which lasted only four plays after the Colts turned it
over on downs and losing yardage on that on that series,
they've pumped in every single series since or before, so
so yeah, I mean, look a fumble on this most
recent drive for the Innnapolis Colts, um uh Matt Ryan

(54:22):
was sacked and stripped. Gives the Chiefs an opportunity here,
but it's been sort of stagnant offensively for the Kent
City Chiefs. All right, Right now, the Cheese have a
second and one at the Colts two yard line, trying
to get in the end zone and take the lead there.
All right, we are narrowing our gap between where we
are and halftime. Okay, so that's all we are. I

(54:44):
don't know why I said it that way, but that's
what I was. Dramatic, I was. I was choosing words
that I didn't even possess. Um Alright, so we're coming
down to the halftime run for all the updates, keep
it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the

(55:05):
place that you may have missed. Hurts. Topica's hands, hurt box,
she's looking, He fires it, completes it. Liting in is
in a tuxtown? Did you wake up to the a cluxtogno?
Do yawn? Now back live to the studios of Fox

(55:26):
Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That's ninety
four w i P Eagles Radio Network. Eagles leading the
Commander's seventeen nothing. How about that Jalen Hurts his thirteen
of nineteen hunt eight yards, two touchdowns. Note Pis Carson
Wentz three of ten for twenty four yards. He's been

(55:49):
sacked six times in the first half. Rich they have
a negative sixteen yards net passing in the first half.
The Commanders looking awful. Welcome back. This is Fox. It's radio,
uh Pop Sports Red Zone Radio live from the tire
rack dot Com studios. We also have a development in
this Bill's Dolphins game. To a Tongua Volo has been

(56:11):
taken to the locker room. Ryan, what happened here with
toa well, he on a roughing the passer. He fell
backwards and hit the back of his head on the
turf and he came up a little woozy, kind of
stumbling around a bit. So they've taken him off. Teddy
Bridgewater now in the game at quarterback for the Dolphins.
So despite a lot of adversity for Miami, it's still tied.
I mean, Bills and Dolphins are tied. We're inside two

(56:35):
minutes to go right now, and Teddy Bridgewater is a quarterback.
Dolphins have the ball and he almost threw a pick six.
Good Holy Moley, that ball was so behind the receiver.
But this was Tyreek Hill. This is gonna show you
exactly how much value to a has with this offense.
Because this this Dolphins offense. I mean, they they've been resilient,

(56:55):
like we've discussed, and they've been going toe to toe
with the Buffalo Bills team that just like on an
absolute war path through the first two games of their season.
We'll see if bred Bridgewater can handle the moment. How
about the Minnesota Vikings who just scored scored on a
one yard touchdown rush four yard touchdown rush from Dalvin Cook.
This is after the Detroit lines turned it over on

(57:17):
downs going for a fourth and one at their own
forty nine yard line. Miami took over. Excuse me, Minnesota
took over on a nine play forty nine yard drive.
They were able to punch it in there. So it's
a tie ball game in Minnesota right now. Lions Vikings
fourteen all. Also, the Chiefs have scored and added a
two point conversion. They missed an extra point earlier. Let's

(57:38):
hear that Cheese highlight give it off right side. Edward
Hilaire waits Hes takes gets into the ends on left shoulder,
first touchdown chance. Today, the Chiefs up their first lead
of the game one six five the Wolf and the
Chief's radio network. So they did add a two point
conversion Cheese now leading the Colts fourteen to ten on
six to go in the first half in that game.

(58:01):
And by the way, this is off of a fumble recovery,
uh strip sacked by the Kansas City Chiefs defense. So
this is the Chiefs drive that started on the Indianapolis
twenty one yard line. Five plays later they get in
on that score you just heard from Edwards a layer
and tacked on that two point conversion. But the Chiefs,
the Chiefs, I mean, they've really been opportunistic today, scoring

(58:24):
off of turnovers. But it's been a lot, a lot
of offense so far. Time of possession. I bet let
me pull up the team stats. I bet it's favoring
the Colts. Yeah, sixteen minutes to eleven. So it's been
mostly Colts on the field, long drives leading to punt
or or turnovers and the Chiefs have capitalized and now
lead by four. One team looking to bounce back at

(58:46):
their first victory of this season, the defending a f
C champion Cincinnati Bengals. So far, so good. They lead
the Jets on the road twenty six three minutes ago.
On the hatch, Joe Burrow having a good day fourteen
fifteen yards to score, no picks. This despite the fact
that Jamaar Chase only has two catches for eight yards.
Tee Higgins has got five catches for ninety three. Tyler

(59:08):
Boyd three catches ninety one yards and a score. Yeah, yeah,
I'll say this about the Jets. That's a team that
will hang around ballgames. And Joe Flacco. I'm not saying
he's he's a great quarterback, but he's a veteran quarterback,
so uh, it's good. That's the Cincinnati Bengals tacked a
couple of scores here and made this a bit of
a longer reach for the Jets. As the first half

(59:29):
is dwindling down, Let's get the latest highlight are let's
the throw, let's pressure coming. Jackson lops for the intel
and he's looking for Andrews reaches up, he makes the catch,
touchdow Mark and Drews. He reached over all, right, so
that is the Ravens. Let me see here, I got

(59:50):
it right here, ninety eight Rock Ravens Radio Networks there.
So they're at halftime. By the way, the Ravens are
leading the Patriots fourteen to thirteen, so the paid they're
hanging in there right now. Lamar Jackson ten of fifteen
ninety nine yards, two touchdowns and a pick. Mac Jones
looking good so far. He's ten of thirteen hundred forty

(01:00:10):
two yards, no touchdowns, no pick. So the Patriots hanging
in this game against the Ravens. Ravens lead by score
of fourteen thirteen. Josh Allen right now in the Buffalo
Bill's offense only one out of five on third down today,
face a third and four here again to a got
knocked out of the game with an apparent head injury.
They conferred here the Buffalo Bills does, so they'll extend

(01:00:31):
their drive. Um, And it was Teddy Bridgewater who did
not look sharp on the last drive for the Dolphins.
Seventeen seconds left on the clock, and Josh Allen stops
it by throwing uh by clocking it. Yeah, I mean, look,
if the Bills can score quick here before the half,
whether it's a field goal or a touchdown, that boats
well for them because with two in the huddle, this

(01:00:53):
has been an even ball game. I think the Miami
Dolphins defense has probably been under heralded. Uh so far
this half, I mean they've been doing Yeoman's work slowing
down this Bill's offense so far. Yeah, Bridgewaters thrown a
couple of passes, both incomplete. In fact, the second one
was so behind Tyreek Hill it could have been a
pick six dropped by the Bill. So the Bills right now,

(01:01:14):
fourteen seconds to go, and they have they have a
second and ten. They're not in field goal range yet,
but now they are, and they're gonna have to run
and clock the ball again. Here we go. They have
no time outs left. We got five seconds, four three,
and they've spiked the ball with two seconds second. Oh no,
they didn't they? Oh that was such a bonehead play.

(01:01:34):
What they It was a fake spike and Josh Allen
spun around and threw it to Stefon Digs at the sideline,
who caught a short pass, ran for whatever yards he
could get and then stepped out of bounds. But there
was only three seconds left on the clock. Yeah, he
was running as fast he couldn't get to the sideline.
Did get there in time. So we're at halftime. So

(01:01:55):
it was a oh no, it was a fumbled snap. Oh,
I see what happened. And then Josh Allen instead of
still spiking the ball, he had time to spike the ball.
He's still had time. He threw the ball. It was
almost picked off. Boy, that was a bad decision. That
almost made a bad situation worse. All he had to
do was spike the ball. No kidding, and he would

(01:02:16):
have had about a fifty yard field goal attempt. They
had still had time to tack on three. Here would
have been Bill's lead at the half instead of well
potentially if the kicker made the kick. Well, let's let's
let's get some order restored right now. Let's find out
what's trending, and Nick Hope can tell us exactly what's
going on. We're scrambling. Nick, I'm sure you can give
us the true picture what's happening around the NFL. Well,

(01:02:38):
we do have some official word regarding to a tongue
of vloa. It is in fact a head injury, and
he is questionable to return right now. Of course, that game,
as you guys just talked about, just going to halftime
with the score even fourteen fourteen, Josh Allen two five yards,
a couple of touchdown passes, Isaiah mackenzie and Devin Singletary
hauling in one a piece. On the other side for

(01:02:58):
Miami River Acraft with a touchdown reception, Chase Edmonds running
in another as well. By the way we got word
in the last hour here, the Athletics says Chase Daniel
was announced as the starter on the scoreboard at SOFI
stadiums so Chargers getting ready to take on the Jaguars
coming up at about four o'clock Eastern time, one o'clock Pacific.

(01:03:20):
And so we're seeing all week if Justin Herbert would
or would not go, And for the time being, it
seems like Chase Daniel is set to make his six
career start. Let's run through the other games going on.
Most of these games either at halftime or just about
to get to halftime. Texans leading the Bears four team
to three. Chicago had the early lead in that one
ten zip, but now the Bears are likely without running

(01:03:41):
back David Montgomery and receiver Byron Pringle for the rest
of the game. They were both doubtful to return. Titans
leading the Raiders four to ten at the break. Ryan
Tannehill has thrown for a touchdown and ran for a touchdown.
Derrick Henry with sixty four yards in a touchdown on
the first half as well. Derek Carr has thrown a
touchdown pass to Davonte a Owns. Fourteen up between the

(01:04:01):
Lions and the Vikings. Minnesota was trying to drive for
a late field goal attempt, but they were stymied, so
they will go in to the locker room level at
fourteen lines. Lad that one fourteen to Zip at one point.
Ravens leading the Patriots fourteen to thirteen a half time.
Lamar Jackson ninety nine yards passing, forty one yards rushing,
two touchdowns and an interception, both of those touchdown passes

(01:04:22):
going to Baltimore's Mark Andrews. He's got fifty five yards
to go along with those two scores. Mac Jones hundred
forty two yards, no tds, no picks, but he did
run in a touchdown. Three three carries for eight yards
on the ground for mac Jones. Bengals leading the Jets
two minute warning there in the second quarter twenty six
in favor of Cincinnati. Two touchdown passes two hundred fifteen

(01:04:42):
yards for Joe Burrow, including a deep shot to Tyler
Boyd a fifty six yard touchdown. Boyd and Tee Higgins
both with over ninety yards receiving four Cincinnati late second
quarter Eagles leading the Commander seventeen nothing. Carson Wentz has
not done anything three twenty four yards, has also fumbled
as well. He's been sacked six times. Jalen Hurts with

(01:05:03):
a couple of touchdown passes, one each to A. J.
Brown and Dallas Goddard. Finally, at halftime, Panthers leading the
Saints thirteen to nothing. Not much offense in this one,
the only touchdown coming courtesy of a forty four yard
scoop and score for the Panthers Marquees Haynes. Otherwise just
a couple of field goals for Carolina as they are
shutting out the Saints. Now, let's go back to Steve

(01:05:25):
Hartman Rich Ornberger in the tirac dot Com studio. All right,
busy day, Nick, that is for sure. Alright, So the
Eagles trying to add to their seventeen not thing ld
Jalen Hurts. Uh they had a first and goal at
the one yard line, twenty two seconds to go in
the half. Jalen Hurts is now seventeen of twenty five
two hundred and seventy seven yards passing in the first half.

(01:05:47):
By the way, do you know the NFL record for
passing yards of game has been on the book since
nineteen fifty one. Norman brock And had five fifty four
yards passing in the game for the Rams. That's still record.
Jalen Hurts is exactly halfway there. Yeah, two d seventies
seven times too, it's five hundred fifty four. I don't
know if he can break the record, but right now
the Eagles up seventeen. Nothing I mentioned before, and by

(01:06:08):
the way, looking to add on is this is this
live right here on the rest of channel. Jellen Hurts
with the football, just try to throw it underneath and
that gets knocked away. Uh. So an incomplete pass on
second and goal brings up third and goal from the
two yard line, so he can tack on two more
yards ahead of the pace. He can be ahead of pace.
I'll tell you he's not on pace, Carson Wentz. So

(01:06:30):
he has twenty four yards passing. He's been sacked six
times for forty yards in losses. That means that the
Commanders have negative sixteen net yards passing in the first half.
Carson Wentz has been a absolute disaster today. But Jalen Hurts,
I've always been a Hurts fan. I love the way

(01:06:50):
he handled his situation at Alabama. Remember he was freshman
of the Year. He gets bench for two A tongue
of violoa transfers to Oklahoma's runner up for the Heisman Offie.
There were still a lot of question marks about Jalen
Hurts and what kind of future you'd have in the NFL.
But one thing I always like to see is progress,
Like are you getting better? And Jalen Hurts has been

(01:07:11):
getting better each year in the NFL. Meanwhile, the suddenly
the Commander's defense has steven. They stop Hurts on a
run for seeing a fourth and goal. Oh, and they're
going hurry up. Oh, right now, the Eagles got to
line a scrimmage in a big hurry. They're not taking
the They're gonna run a play. Here we go and caught.

(01:07:33):
That's a touchdown. Wow, goodness, gracious, Jalen Hurt strokes to
the back corner of s and DeVante Smith, his teammate
at Alabama, comes down with it, and so that's a
touchdown before the half. They'll go up twenty three nothing
on the Commanders if they tack on the extra point. Uh,
there'll be a twenty four nothing halftime score. By the way,

(01:07:54):
DeVante Smith with that catch about seven catches for a
hundred and fifty six yards and a score in the
first half. Yeah, if you had him on your team.
Smith is piling up points today. Wow. Twenty three nothing
right at the half. By the way, the clock ran out,
So we're waiting on the extra point there. But the
Eagles complete domination of the hapless Commanders. The extra point

(01:08:16):
is good. Good going there for nothing. Wow Wow. Hurt
finishes the half eighteen of twenty seven two seventy nine yards,
three touchdowns. Quick follow up from what Nick was telling
us about at the update. This from Daniel Popper, the
Athletic ahead of this game between the Chargers here in
l A hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. He tweets were less

(01:08:39):
than two hours from game time. He tweeted this twenty
minutes ago. Uh, and I still have not seen justin
Herbert on the field. Chase Daniel and Easton Stick are
throwing right now. So this is a reminder to anybody
who missed that game. Yeah, Nick, Cope, what do you got? So?
Ian Rappaport just tweeted a minute ago that Herbert is active,
So this very well. We were hearing earlier in the

(01:09:00):
day that it was gonna be a game time decision.
So despite Chase Daniel being announced as a starter on
the big screen, Herbert is active. And it could right
come right down to the wire as to who is
going to be the starting quarterback for the Charger. Active
does not mean that he's going in the game. Could
he could just be dressed for the game and we'll
see what happens. Well, we had this uncertainty with this

(01:09:21):
injury all week. Line. I was really surprised Vegas had
a line on this game and it wasn't much of
a line. Charge is only a three point favorite at
home against the Jags. Well, I was about to say
a quick reminder to what we saw last week, Jaguars
taking off the Indianapolis Colts and effort that was led
by their defense, a twenty for nothing drubbing of the
Indiapolis coult and you saw the defense sac Uh sack

(01:09:47):
Matt Ryan six times during that game. So, I mean,
it's just one of those things where if you're the charges,
you watched that film and you're saying to yourself, jeez,
you know, is this worth it? And then throw on
top of it fractured rib cartilage very difficult to twist.
And I don't know if you've ever watched football, a
lot of twisting when you throw a football. Well, that

(01:10:09):
that injury, from what I've been told from those have
suffered something similar, it's not like a fractured rib like
it's it's cartilage and it's painful, but it's not like
completely debility. We saw him come off back. Remember he
came back on the field after that injury and through

(01:10:29):
one of the greatest passes I've seen in recent memory.
And I will say this though, listen, I've I've done both,
I mean, and they were similar, similar timelines. Uh fractured
uh one of my last ribs on the right side,
and the cartilage. I don't know which one heals faster necessarily,
but I can tell you this, rib injuries are insanely uncomfortable,

(01:10:52):
right exactly, You know you're you're in a lot of pain.
If they can guide a numbing shot into the right area,
it can reduce a lot of that pain, uh, during
game days. But it's still it's difficult to laugh, it's
difficult to breathe, it's difficult to I mean, if you sneeze,
Heavens forbid you have to sneeze. It's one of the
worst experiences ever. And you're just panicking when you feel

(01:11:14):
one coming on. Um. So yeah, I mean it's Look,
it is pain, and you can manage pain, and everybody
has a different pain threshold. But also you're thinking about
the season, and the Chargers have a really good team,
a great defense. You don't you don't want to have
one of the best quarterbacks sacrificing himself this early in
the season. All right, every game's at halftime except one.

(01:11:36):
Already into the third quarter, Titans are leading the Raiders
twenty four to ten. Did we lose that game on
one of our TVs? I was watching that game. Raiders
have the ball right now, they have a third and
four at the Tennessee thirty two yard line. Again, both
these teams need to win desperately. Both have started the season.
Oh and two. Ryan Tannehill's played outstanding today. Really was

(01:11:58):
off the first couple of weeks with fourteen and seventeen
hundred ninety five yards and a score. Derrick Henry eleven
carries sixty four yards and score. So Tennessee offensively looking
much better this week. As far as the Raiders, Derek
Carr eleven and fifteen hundred eight yards and a score.
Josh Jacobs has eight carries forty seven yards. It's always
a guessing game at this point, you know. The first

(01:12:19):
couple of weeks here, we've had games where we're at
halftime like, all right, well that game is over, and
the next thing we look up. I mean last week
was a prime example. I mean that Ravens Dolphins game
was over Ravens at home. We're up thirty five to
fourteen in the fourth quarter. We had already flipped that
game off, and the next thing you know, the Dolphins
scored twenty eight in that fourth quarter and came back

(01:12:41):
to win that game. So hard to tell right now
where we stand as far as these games. UM yeah,
just getting back to that Chargers matchup though against Jacksonville. UM,
this is a critically game for the Chargers with or
without Justin Herbert, they could ill afford a home loss
against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yeah, no, there's no question about it.
I mean, if you look at this Chargers season, this preseason,

(01:13:04):
I should say, with a lot of the additions that
they made, this is a team who thinks they can
win a Super Bowl. This season just narrowly missed making
the postseason a year ago with that loss to the
Raiders at the end of the regular season. I mean
that one stings. And and frankly, a lot of blame
was placed at the feet of Brandon Staley, new head

(01:13:25):
coach last year, to the Chargers, who made some decisions
in that game and games prior to it on fourth
down that were controversial. And so you start the season
one and one. You lose by the way to the Raiders,
who beat you the last game of the regular season.
KNOCKI and I have playoff contention or excuse me, beat
the Raiders and then lose to the Chiefs in division,
and now you're on to face the Jacksonville Jaguars, where
in the preseason you're probably looking at the schedule thinking, well,

(01:13:47):
we gotta win one of those first two games, and
and you're pretty well counting the next two games against
the Jags and the Texans as wins. Also not so fast.
The Jags are playing good football. Ug Peterson has fixed
in a lot of ways some of what illed Trevor
Lawrence a year ago. And this defense is playing lights
out football. So when you have an injured quarterback, this

(01:14:11):
is going to be a very even playing field today.
All right. So as we head into the second half
now of these nine games to kick off your NFL Sunday,
there's only one place to be for all your updates.
Keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the

(01:14:32):
place that you may admits that's looking, that's firing. God
he coughtter of the cover of the zone. Can't what's skyward? Bert?
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.

(01:14:53):
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That's ninety four w
i P Eagles Radio Network. Once again, this is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio live from the tire IRAQ dot
Com studios. Halftime for most of these games, however, how

(01:15:17):
about the New England Patriots. Rich, your former team has
taken a fourteen lead over the Baltimore Ravens. Mac Jones
is twelve of sixteen two or three yards and uh
he has played very well. But the Newingham Patriots on
a Damien Harris run, let's hear it, tight splits for
the Patriots to staff at Kim cut to the White

(01:15:38):
Harrison and a touchdown. Patriots ninety five the Sports Hub
and the Patriots Radio network. So twenty fourteen Patriots over
the Ravens. This would be a huge win for New
England if they could beat the Ravens, even at home.
I think most people thought, wow, Okay, the Patriots don't
have the firepower to hang with Lamar Jackson and the

(01:15:59):
ray Events. But so far they do. Yeah, Lamar Jackson
only uh ten of fifteen passing for nine yards, but
he's got those two touchdown passes to Mark Andrews, first
on the shovel pass, the second on the deep throw
to Andrew's in the end zone. He's also thrown a
pick today. And here's what I'm seeing. I'd love to
see what their pressure percentage so far is against the Ravens.

(01:16:21):
What they're doing a great job of is keeping Lamar
in the pocket when they elect to pass. They're not
letting him extend plays, get creative, get outside the pocket, hurting,
hurt them with his legs. They're keeping him in the pocket.
And that's what you need to do against Lamar Jackson.
Make him throw between the hashes. It's not where he
wants to be. He wants to be on the edges
of your defense, creating things for his players. And so

(01:16:44):
when he has been thrown here leading on the road
against the Bears, seventeen a third old, forty four yards,
a touchdown and a pick. A guy taken in the
same draft, Justin Fields, He's four of eleven for forty
five yards in a pick. I mean, it is just
not war and right now for Justin Fields, I'm shocked.
I mean, I I was a big fields guy coming
out of Ohio State. Uh remember he had that huge

(01:17:07):
game against Clemson in the National semis. It looked like
he was there. But the passing numbers are just not
happening for Justin Fields right now in Chicago. Yeah, I mean,
it's just a lot of three and outs. He threw
that interception earlier in the first half and then I
want I counted up what is it, four three and
outs in the first half and they were only able

(01:17:29):
to muster two field goals. It's just been rough for
Justin Fields in the Chicago Bears offense, They just in
every way have have really struggled out the gates of
this season opener against the forty niners, with standing where
it was an absolute monsoon in Chicago. So you sure
to throw that performance out the window and you say, okay,

(01:17:49):
in the coming weeks, let's see what we have at
this quarterback position in so far growing pains. All right.
The Saints down thirteen nothing at the half to the Panthers,
are now at the Carolina nineteen yard line. They have
a third and eleven. Jamis Winston's numbers not horrific. Thirteen
twenty two d sixty one yards. He hasn't thrown a
pick in this game. Camara has fifty six yards on

(01:18:11):
the ground. They just have not gotten in the end zone.
By the way, on the other side, Baker Mayfields thrown
for forty four yards. Yeah, uh so that's that's another experiment.
It does cling like Baker Mayfield is helping his future
stock so far as the starting quarterback of the Panthers. No, no,
he hasn't. Again, the storyline of this game from the

(01:18:32):
quarterback position is Both of these quarterbacks are looking to
rejuvenate their career and be known as starters in the NFL.
Jamis Winson and Baker Mayfield both joining these teams different years.
Of course, Jamis has had some time on the bench.
But who is it going to be Baker or Jamis
or neither getting a starting job as a result of
what they do this season? All right, Nick Cope Copas

(01:18:53):
join us once again? What he got? Nick? All right?
All this back and forth of will he won't he?
With Justin Herbert, I think we're finally getting definitive news here,
both In Rappaport and Adam Schefter both saying Herbert will
start today against the Jaguars. Yeah, no surprise there to me.
Unless that injury was gonna get worse, we hadn't heard
it would um And it's again we already saw him

(01:19:16):
play with this injury and play extremely well. I think
Justin Herbert one is just an amazing competitor. We know
that already, and he he knows this is this is
a big game. Uh. You know the Chiefs are you
know the city at top this division. The Chargers came
into this year with their mindset that we want to
wrestle away that a f C West title from the Chiefs.

(01:19:37):
They had the tough loss of the Chiefs earlier this year.
They can ill afford a loss to Jacksonville. And they
need Justin Herbert. They need Justin Herbert. If you're going
to have any kind of season, you need Justin Herbert.
And that's the reason why the expectations were so high
a year ago. It's because of Justin Herbert. So if
this is a situation, and we've seen situations like this

(01:19:58):
before where you can go and it's pain management, you're
gonna try if you're the type of competitor he is.
So at very least they got Easton Stick, who's normally inactive.
He's active today as the third string quarterback. Of course,
he's behind Chase Daniel, who will be the next in
if Herbert goes down, but he's gonna give it a
go against this Jaguars team who again harassed Matt Ryan

(01:20:20):
all week last week on their way to a twenty
four nothing victory over Indianapolis and sacked him five times.
That's going to be a problem for Herbert if he
gets hit that much. By the way, Buffalo has the
ball tied at four team with Miami and Josh Allen
just ran for twenty years, showing why he is an
m VP candidate. All Right, we got a lot more
coming up. Second half action around the NFL. Keep it

(01:20:42):
right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Now
Bears Herbert quished for the goal. Lion he is and
for the touchdown. Took him a while to throw the
hands up, but Herbert is in Hamba. Bears are backed
in front. That is w BBM News Radio nine seven

(01:21:02):
eighty and one of five point nine Bears radio network.
So the Bears have regained the lead. They now lead
the Texans twenty to seventeen to go in the third quarter.
Once again, we are broadcasting live from the tire irack
dot Com studios. Ti irac dot com will help get
you there, an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road

(01:21:23):
hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire i
rack dot com the way tire buying should be. All Right,
We're into the second half of all these nine games
going on right now. Uh. In the NFL one game
we've been keeping our eye on throughout the day, is
this Bills Dolphins game still tied at fourteen. The Bills

(01:21:43):
are driving right now. They're in Dolphins territory. They're down
to the twenty nine yard line. They have a third
and one situation. So the Bills, uh, you know again,
first two weeks, no question, who's the best team in
the league. It has been the Buffalo Bills. Uh. This
is in a game though that the Dolphins defense is
surprised a lot of people. Bills do get a first down,

(01:22:04):
they'll move those chains. There you go, Yeah, no question
about it. And how about two uh? I mean, here's
the two sides of this coin to a tongue of
volo back in the game for the Miami offense after
a halftime. I don't know if you saw him get up, Steve,
but let me see if I could pull up a
video for you to see it, because he was woozy.

(01:22:24):
He was woozy isn't the word? Um? But here check
this out. This is him getting back to his feet
after the hit. Um. They're supposed to be an independent
doctor on the field who is evaluating players as uh
as the game goes on to see if anybody's showing
signs of concussions and then to get back on the field.

(01:22:45):
I mean there's a protocol that needs to be followed.
I guess they were able to snap that all up
in thirty minutes to get him back for the second
half well without too uh. And and they brought in
Teddy Bridgewater for a couple of throws, and it was
obvious that he's not to a tongue of volo at
this point. By the way, Miami's defense stiffening a little bit. Here,
Bills have a second and twelve. By the way, the

(01:23:07):
Bengals have scored again, So it's been a big bounce
back day for the Bengals. They needed this one in
the worst way, as they now lead the Jets by
a score of twenty seven to nine. Meanwhile, the Ravens
have retaken the lead. Jackson wants to throw off the
play fake fires in the end zone, Touchdowgiver comps up

(01:23:28):
with the reach back rab and Josh Oliver when his
first touchdown of the season puts n ninety Rock Ravens
Radio Network Lamar Jackson's third touchdown pass of the game,
Ravens have regained the lead twenty one twenty over the
New England Patriots. All Right, Bills now at the eight
yard line. Third and one going against the Dolphins. But yeah, Rich,

(01:23:52):
when you look at the video of to a tongue
of La after that hit, I mean he couldn't even
stand up. No, he got back to his feet after
the back of his head a contact with the ground,
and then he took about five steps and then his
legs gave out. It looked like a boxer after a
knockdown shot trying to get back to his feet. You know,
typically the ref you know, make sure he grabs your

(01:24:13):
wrists and he talks to you before you can get
back into the middle of the ring ring and resume
the match, and if your your lower body goes limp,
they call the fight. So a little interesting that too,
is back in the game with all of the attention
being paid to the concussion protocol and current day NFL.
But okay, first and goal opportunity for the Buffalo Bills
now Josh Allen able to scramble out to the left

(01:24:35):
side of the formation get the first down again. This
Buffalo Miami game is tied at fourteen, Miami hosting the Bills,
and there is a player down offensively for the Bills.
I can't get a number on it, but they yeah,
it looks like one of their offensive lineman has some
some sort of lower body injury that they're dealing with here.

(01:24:56):
But yeah, look, I think this is one of those
scores that's really imp seeing a lot of people who
are tuned into this game fourteen fourteen, the way the
Buffalo Bills were playing, I didn't I didn't think that
they'd have to tie the rest of the year. I
took two wins against the Rams and the Titans to
open up the season after leading every game thirty five

(01:25:19):
nothing in the third quarter two weeks in, when you're
a plus fifty five and point differential, pretty good by
the way. Getting back to that Bengals lead over the
Jets to Alemenus to go on the third quarter. Joe
Burrow today sixteen twenty seven tour and thirty four yards,
three touchdowns and no pick. So he really needed this
type of day to start of get back on track.

(01:25:40):
You know. He's continues to get sacked quite a bit,
tends to hold onto the lall perhaps a little too long,
trying to make playce for this Bengals team. But right now,
the Bengals in good shape. On the road against the
New York Jets, Meanwhile, the Titans and the Raiders were
inside the three minute market of the third quarter. Titans
have the ball and lead the Years by a score

(01:26:00):
of twenty four to thirteen. It's been a very good
day for Ryan Tannehill fifteen and nineteen, two hundred four
yards and a score both these teams starting the day
oh and two and well, you just gotta wonder if
the Raiders do lose this game starting oh and three
with Josh McDaniels. It's not gonna get easier in a
division that they share with the Chiefs and the Chargers.

(01:26:21):
I'm not so sure about the Broncos this year. I
sort of predicted that that was a little bit of
an overplay in the hype of Russell Wilson. How about
hiring a coach to uh oversee the head coach hack
it so he doesn't make bone head decisions during the game.
What was that? The Broncos are a team that struggled
in the two most important hires that every NFL team

(01:26:42):
has to get right. Um head coach and quarterback has
been a problem for the Denver Broncos for years and
years and years now, I mean basically since the Peyton
Manning years have ended. You know, they've they've missed that
Super Bowl win. They've made mistake after mistake in terms
of who's gonna lead the team and who's gonna be
your quarterback, and uh, it may continue here. I look

(01:27:03):
as good as Russell Wilson is when you have end
of the game decision making and mismanagement of the clock
and misuse of time outs to the level we're seeing
with Nathaniel Hackett. And also, do I appreciate the honesty. Yeah,
but Nathaniel Hackett is not hiding anything. He says, I'm
new at this job and I'm struggling with it, and

(01:27:25):
it's something I'm aiming to improve upon. But you bring
a guy to sit in the booth to basically tell
him don't do that. Don't do that, well, I mean
don't mean his career. Let's let's put it a head coach.
If it fixes the problem, stay then great. But if
this continues, then I mean, isn't that what the head

(01:27:47):
coach is supposed to do is make those tough decisions.
Pretty much the role Although I will say this, I
will say this sometimes in order to get a great
offensive minded coach, you gotta make him your your head, coach.
I mean, because there, that's the only way you're gonna
get him in the grow. Is that a touchdown? Or Davis?
Gabriel Davis to the corner of the end zone and

(01:28:08):
that one was in and out of his hands. He
had a ball. Wow, nice strip by the Dolphins right there. Oh,
let's hear that latest Bengal score. Burro clapping his hands,
catches the staff pump, fakes chase with the catch, Burrow
belt it after the throw. It's a touchdown for Cincinnati.

(01:28:32):
All right, Bengals Radio Network. As you mentioned, Bengals lead
the Jets by a score of twenty seven and nine.
Lions are leading the Vikings seventeen to fourteen. Uh you
know this Lions team, We saw plenty of them. Steve, Steve,
breaking news for you. What happened? Rihanna is performing the
halftime show this year's Super Bowl. Is it done? It's

(01:28:52):
a done deal. You remember this. No artist gets paid
a penny. Yes, halftime show. Yeah, that's a freebee. That's
a freebe. You get a billion people watching, so uh yeah, yeah,
So Rihanna is gonna be out there, and uh and
I can't wait to see the performance to be honest
with you. That's uh, well, she she wants to make

(01:29:14):
sure she gets seen. All right, let's watch right now
as the Hopefully it's not raining, by the way, because
I'd hate to see a bunch of umbrella alright, the
Ravens said, retaking the lead over the Patriots. Oh wait,
we got field goal time for the Bills. I'm trying
to keep tracking, you're all because the obsessed with Rihanna
right now, Bill settled for a field goal. They take

(01:29:35):
a seventeen fourteen lead over the Dolphins. And uh, we
mentioned the fact that the Ravens had retaken the lead
over New England and now they're in uh New England territory.
Deep try to add to that lead. They have a
second and goal situation right now, and they're three for
three in the red zone, all three touchdowns one to

(01:29:58):
one rushing touchdown too, receiving two, or I should say
three receiving touchdowns down low. Uh what do we got here?
Just a fly sweep out to the sideline. I have
never understood when you're inside the five yard line why
you would ever have a design run wide. Yeah, I
get it, I mean it's but it does work. I
mean for as many inside runs that work. Outside runs

(01:30:21):
work at the goal line too. It's just whatever formationally
you're getting from the defense. That one did not work.
I agree with you. There brings up third and goal.
All right, So third and goal for the Ravens right now,
leading this game by a score of Again, big game
for both these teams. Ravens trying to bounce back after
that disastrous collapse at home against the Dolphins last week,
and in New England, trying to just prove to people

(01:30:44):
that don't count us out, we're a team that can
make the playoffs. Pass to the end zone is perfect.
Now did DuVernay come down with it? Or was he
knocked out of bounds? The officials are not catched out Duvernaire, Yes,
there it is. That was a hell of a catch.
He was well covered their back corner of the end zone.
Lamar Jackson throws an absolute strike. Du rene elevates high

(01:31:07):
points the four. He's got the ball up barely has
a one down. That's a touchdown. Look how close that
left foot it is barely in down? Wow? Alright, so
right now, Lamar Jackson is four for four in the
red zone passing touchdowns two to Andrew's one to Oliver
one to Duvernet. He's been okay. Now this angle on

(01:31:30):
that second foot didn't touch the line. Wait was it down?
That was the pie him. They could not have picked
a worst angle. Now that shooting for the opposite end zone. UM,
all right, so we'll get an update on that right now. Yes,
we are heading closer to the fourth quarter. Acts around

(01:31:53):
the NFL. Keep it right here. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and
we've got the place that you may admits. First in
ten Lions from the Viking thirteen Jamal Williams with it,

(01:32:14):
bounces it outside, Jamal to the edge to the five
to the end zone. Touchdown, Detroit Lions. Jamal Williams now
back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This
is Fox Red Zone Radio. That's w x y t

(01:32:36):
f M ninety one, the Ticket Lions Radio Network. Lions
leading the Vikings four to fourteen. Jared Goff doing it
twenty two and thirty one, two and thirty seven yards
and a score. Jamal Williams a couple of touchdowns on
the ground. So right now, the Lions in charge by
ten forty eight seconds ago in the third quarter. Welcome back,
this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live

(01:32:59):
from the tire dot Com studios. Meanwhile, the Ravens back
back on the board basement along on the left. Let's
press there coming. Jackson fires back at the end zone.
Tubera makes the catch. Does he get his feed in both?
He does? Touchdown? Teven tuban A ninety eight Rock Ravens
Radio Network lamar Jackson's fourth touchdown pass of the day.

(01:33:22):
He's only thrown for a hundred twenty five yards. He
also has seventy nine yards on the ground. But the
Ravens now beginning to pull away. Thirty one twenty on
the road against the New England Patriots. Uh, we got
to twenty one to go in the third quarter in
that game. Meanwhile, some other scores going on right now,
rich The Bears have tied up their game with the

(01:33:42):
Texans twenty all in that game. Not so fast, Justin
Fields just through an interception, Texans ball here around yeah,
around the Chicago thirty nine yard line. So still tied,
but Texans with an opportunity here in the fourth quarter.
And it has been a tough day for Justin Fields.
Just five of fourteen sixty five yards and a couple

(01:34:03):
of picks. Well, despite that, the Bears are still hanging
in Also, we got to the end of the third quarter.
Indianapolis is hanging in there against the Chiefs, and it's
been a pedestrian day at least by Patrick Mahomes. Standards
seventeen hundred seventy six yards, one score, no interceptions. The

(01:34:24):
Chiefs only have two hundred and thirty total yards in
the game. The problem is the Colts only have a
hundred forty four total yards UH in their offense. Matt
Ryan's been sacked four more times today. He's only thrown
for a hundred twenty seven yards. He does have a
score in Jonathan Taylor. They're just not running the ball
well eight yards rushing for the best running back in

(01:34:45):
the league. I don't know what's happened in Indianapolis, but
this was a offensive line that was slated to be
arguably the best in the league and they've been underwhelming.
They're not opening up run lanes for Jonathan Taylor. They're
getting Matt Ryan sack. Also, I think he's taken too
long in his progressions. So this offense has taken its
time figuring things out and getting jeled together, but they

(01:35:08):
risk falling to O two and one on the season.
Windless so far, searching for that first here against the
undefeated Chiefs, who, like you said, hasn't been outstanding offensive performance,
but defensively they're doing enough to keep the pressure on.
In Indianapolis seventeen thirteen game go on the forest, So
Coats definitely have a shot here. The kan's city bid

(01:35:29):
the ball and they are in Indianapolis territory. Meanwhile, the Raiders,
needing a score desperately have a second and seven. They
are right now at the Tennessee ten yard line. Titans
lead this game twenty four to thirteen. A battle of
the windless. Josh McDaniels trying to come up with some
answers for this Raider offense only has thirteen points on

(01:35:49):
the board, but right now they have a second and
seven at the Tennessee ten yard line. Yeah, let's check
it out. What they get going on here? Got Derek
car just toss in it. It's a sweet play out
to this. Oh and it might be a fumble Jacobs,
that's a Ford fumble out of bounds. What's the ruling?
Does the ball get marked where he fumbled? The ball
where it went out. It's where the fumble occurred. You

(01:36:11):
can't advance a fumble offensively, so that will he'll be
downed by contact anyways, And do we have mark Ingram
get anten zoned for New Orleans. First score on the
board and off to Ingram inside the five stove going
and mark Ingram takes it in for a touchdown that
swims it to the ground. W w L Saints Radio Network, Like,

(01:36:32):
if you're not a die hard Panthers or Saints fan,
you cannot watch this game. And this thing has been
I will say this, Jameis Winston has looked good today
even though they were scoreless, and well he has. I'll
play Baker Mayfield who's nine of nineteen for seventy six yards.
But there has not been much in this game. James
twenty two forty six yards keith for Winston, this game,

(01:36:53):
no picks, Okay, anytime he has no picks, he has
a chance. That's that's a chance, all right. So getting
back to the rate is now have a third and three.
We're inside the ten minute mark. This game actually ahead
time wise of all the other games they've been motoring along. Well,
that's pretty standard for Titans games because of the reliance
on the run. But yeah, the Raiders need to score

(01:37:15):
here with less than ten minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Let me ask you this. If they do score attachdown,
do you go for two to make it a three
point game. I've always been a believer in like, like, yes,
go for it right now. Like I don't understand the
concept of, Hey, you know, if you score, kick the
extra point and then deal with it later. No, go
for two right now. I agree with the bird in

(01:37:37):
the hand is worth two in the bush And the
Raiders have thrown an interception and the Titans are advancing
it out of the end zone. Is that Bayard? Yeah,
he got out past the yard right through the hand
of the receiver. What happened on that player? It looked
like it got jarred loose as the two players converged
on Waller and it popped into the hands of Right

(01:38:00):
here's the replay. Cart throws the ball over the middle
to Waller Jose Gulos right off his hands into the
end zone. Wow, that was an interception, tip drill interception.
Titans takeover on their own twenty one yard line and
they lead at home over the Las Vegas Raiders who
are staring down and own three record here, Steve, Yeah,

(01:38:22):
they are, and that's not gonna be good news. Commanders
trying to get on the board. It's been all Eagles
today twenty for nothing, but the Commanders right now with
Carson Wentz finally passing a hundred yards passing in this game,
not exactly a day that he wants to put on
his highlight reel. They have a third and goal. No,
it's at the Philly fourteen yard line, which tells you
how they're doing in the red zone going backwards when

(01:38:45):
you have a third and goal at the fourteen good?
And do we have a touchdown in this Carolina? Carolina
just scored Biscus Chanal sixty seven yards on that touchdown.
They went for a two point conversion, didn't not get it.
So Carolina leads the Saints by score nineteen to seventeen.
Now twelve minutes to go in the fourth quarter of

(01:39:08):
that game. All right, Buffalo and Miami. So Buffalo took
the lead with a field goal. And are they attempting
another field goal right now? Yes, they are, indeed, so
seventeen fourteen Buffalo. They have a fourth down right now,
field goal attempt is no good. That thing is hooked

(01:39:29):
badly from thirty eight yards bass. That's a bad miss.
So right now, so we have four teen minutes to
go in that game. Now, Miami offensively with to getting
hurt in the first half, and he's come back in
the second half, but they haven't done anything offensively in
the second half. By the way, the Chiefs just attempted
a fake field goal on fourth and eleven. Did not work.

(01:39:52):
So the Colts now have the ball all right, well,
and Colts have plenty of time despite the fact that
they've been outplayed by the Chiefs seventeen thirteen. Now they're
hanging around half minutes to go, plenty of time. Meanwhile,
we also the Patriots right now trying to get back
in this game against the Ravens thirty one to twenty,
the Ravens leading this game thirteen a half minutes ago

(01:40:12):
on the fourth quarter, and the Patriots are voiced with
a fourth and one. What was Belichick's attitude about fourth
down place? Was he a big, let's go for it
type guy. It's all situation based and he's a believer
in the analytics of football. They're gonna go for it
here Matt Patricia looking at his place sheet. The other
thing about Bill Belichick is huge, huge proponent of high

(01:40:34):
percentage place in these circumstances. So what did you see
a lot of when Brady was the quarterback? He was
a really good QB sneak guy, so he saw a
lot of QB sneak on third ones and fourth ones
over the career of Tom Brady mac Jones so far.
I'm not sure of what the percentages are, but that's
a big quarterback and that's something absolutely you require of
your offensive line to be able to do in these

(01:40:55):
the short yardage situations is get you one stinking yard
for your quarterback. A little break right now, So let's
find out what's trending as we head back to Nick
Cope with all the news around the NFL. I told you, Nick,
this is gonna be a busy Sunday. Yeah, it certainly
has been nine games and action in this early slate.
I'll update you on all of those momentarily, but do

(01:41:16):
want to get you some availability reports when it comes
to the late games. Justin Herbert reportedly will start a
quarterback for the Chargers as they get set to face
the Jaguars. Buccaneers receiver Julio Jones is inactive. Cardinals running
back James Conner is active, so some of the notable
names keep an eye on in the late window. Let's
run through the games now. Buffalo just missed the field

(01:41:39):
goal moments ago at seventeen to fourteen bills over the Dolphins.
And one thing to keep in mind, guys, the heat
index is over a hundred in Miami. Buffalo is without
several players due to heat illness, including the right tackle
Spencer Brown, tight end Dawson Knox, and receiver Isaiah Mackenzie.
They're all questionable to return with what they're calling heat

(01:41:59):
ill this, so Buffalo having to deal with that on
the field in addition to a tough Dolphins team. Texans
and Bears are tied at twenty of this one's been
back and forth all game. Bears running back David Montgomery
and receiver Byron Pringle both ruled doubtful to return with
injuries in the first half. Titans maintain a twenty to
thirteen lead on the Raver Raiders. Ryan Tannehill two hundred

(01:42:23):
forty one yards, a touchdown and a pick. He's also
ran for a touchdown. Derrick Henry eighty one yards on
the ground and to score. Derek Carr has thrown for
just for a hundred fifty yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Colts have the football trailing the Chiefs seventeen to thirteen. Again.
All these all these games are either early fourth quarter
or late third quarter. Lions have put together a ten

(01:42:44):
nothing scoring run lead the Vikings twenty four to fourteen.
Looks like the New England Patriots have just scored a
handoff inside at the goal line, so it's thirty one
six Baltimore pending his two point conversion for the Ravens.
Bengals lead the Jets twenty seven to nine. Eagles all
over the Commander's twenty four to nothing Panthers in front

(01:43:05):
of the Saints nineteen to seven. Announced in the last
thirty minutes, Rihanna will headline the Super Bowl halftime show
in Phoenix coming up in three TMZ reports the NFL
asked Taylor Swift, she was the big one rumored to
do the halftime show in the NFL apparently asked her
to do it months ago, but she had decline. And

(01:43:25):
then in the New a P Top twenty five poll
College Football Top five unchained Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan,
and Clemson, and then rounding out the top ten USC, Kentucky, Tennessee,
Oklahoma State, and NC State. Big big droppers. Oklahoma drops
twelve spots to number eighteen with that lost to Kansas State.
Arkansas drops ten spots the number twenty with that loss

(01:43:46):
to Texas A and M. And now let's go back
to the ti rac dot com studio. Steve Hartman Rich Ornberger, Nick,
I'm sorry U c l A in the top ten,
not in the top ten. They did receive some votes. Hey,
pretty good, pretty good showing for the pack twelves. They've
got four teams in the UH in the top fifteen
for the first time since UH sixteen. I read so

(01:44:09):
first time in six years. You've got Utah twelve, Oregan
at thirteen, Washington at fifteen, and then you've got Wazoo,
Oregon State in u c l A, all receiving votes.
I like it a conference trying to stay alive with
the Penning defection about the USC and U c l A. Nick,
thanks so much. Once again, this is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. We are live from the tire reck dot
Com studios. Let's hear the Panther's latest score. Mayfield of

(01:44:33):
the shotgun pumps, he's got Labisca Chanalt his first chat
of the Panther. He's got the forty forty five. The
sar talk to the Races Scots a free touchdown. Look
this welcome to seven, the Fox Panthers radio network. They
went for two, did not get a Panther's leading in

(01:44:54):
the Saints nineteen seventeen, we have a big development rich
in that Ravens Patriots game. Yeah, so the Patriots are
facing a fourth and one. We were just discussing. Mac
Jones ends up scrambling to the right side on a
plan QB rollout pass, had nothing going, so reverse his field,
goes back to his left, finds John hu Smith for
a short pass in the first down, first and goal

(01:45:15):
opportunity from the Baltimore Ravens nine yard line. Damien Harris
pummels up the middle, gets the touchdown um and then
you have the two point conversion where Damien Harris was
taking it off the left tackle and then tossed it
back to mac Jones. He rushes it in for a score.
They put the two point conversion on the board and

(01:45:36):
then review the play, reverse the play, and so right
now Patriots still trail UH thirty one twenty six to
the Baltimore Ravens. Here's the touchdown. Steven said it was
right to staff it again. Zones right up the gut
touchdown Patriots and the eight five Sports up and the
Patriots radio network says, you mentioned Ravens hanging on the Hatriots.

(01:46:00):
The Dolphins have a second and goal right now. They
are trailing the Bills after that latest Bills miss field goal,
Dolphins going down the field, still plenty of time, you're
tim minutes plus, but the Dolphins in a position right
now to take the lead in this game against the Bills.
You it has a feel like the Bills have dominated
this game and you here the Dolphins with a chance

(01:46:22):
to take the lead second a goal right now, tim
minutes to go in the fourth quarter. It's felt that way,
but the reality is in the second half, what it's
been is a lot of kind of stagnant play from
the Buffalo Bills offense. You know, you have the field
goal early on, but it's been punt, missfield goal. And
now the Dolphins on this drive have really done a

(01:46:44):
nice job. Five plays traversing sixty seven yards to get
it down with this second and goal opportunity on the
where they at right now from the tan yard from
the second yard seven yard line, Night all right too,
is looking to pass right now over the middle. Dropped. Wow,
that was almost picked off in and out of the
hands of Jaalen Waddle, And there's a targeting foul. They're

(01:47:08):
gonna say that the Bill's defensive back when too high
on Who was it? I don't know. It's Chase just
run a little angle route over the middle of the
offensive formation and got absolutely creamed up top. So I
think this is gonna be a necessary roughness, fresh set
of downs and half distance to the goal for the
Miami offense. All right, stop the press. What Commanders got

(01:47:28):
on the board on a safety? They actually they had
a fourth and fourth down at the one yard line.
They got stoned by the Eagles, but then the Eagles
ran a play and it got stopped in the end zone.
So the Commanders get on the board. Eagles still hanging
on when he forded two? Is the score in that game?

(01:47:54):
Bears Texans still tied at twenty, were inside the eight
minute mark. Bears had the ball near midfield heightens with
lead over the Raiders after that costly interception and the
end zone, Titans have the ball. Uh. Colts, by the way,
are at the Kansas City thirty yard line there in
Chiefs territory right now, Rich Colts trailing seventeen or thirteen.

(01:48:16):
They're looking to try to steal this game, and we
gotta turnover in this Ravens Patriots game. It looks like
a catching fumble by one of the Ravens receivers. All right,
so thirty one Ravens still leading Foxburg over the Patriots.
But Lamar Jackson threw a ball and indeed it was
caught by Rashad Bateman, then he was stripped. Touchdown Dolphins.

(01:48:42):
Edmonds gets in the end zone. The Dolphins have taken
the lead over the Buffalo Bills. So it was Peppers
who recovered the fumble in Foxboro Patriots ball win play
resumes there and Miami on the board with a touchdown
right now, leading twenties seventeen over the Buffalo Bills. This
has been incredible the the Dolphins this season. I mean

(01:49:05):
just I don't even know what to say about Mike
McDaniel's young head coach, but except for everything's worked well exactly.
Here's what I'll say. Undefeated. Undefeated. I mean, that's all
I have to look at right now. The extra point
is good. So Miami twenty one to seventeen lead the
Buffalo Bills. Still plenty of time, ten minutes to go

(01:49:25):
in the fourth quarter in that game. But yeah, what
a turnaround in this Ravens Patriots game. Well, that was
a quick fumble here Bateman had the ball. Did he
actually ever have possession of the ball? I think so,
but I mean the ball was stripped almost immediately. I
don't know if he really had total possession of the ball.

(01:49:47):
Is that play under review Ryan at all? Okay, so
the reviewing that play whether or not it was a fumble, stripping,
fumble recovery by the New England Patriots, and they get
gave them the ball, so they have the ball, uh
down thirty one, twelve and a half minutes to go
in the fourth quarter. Damien Harris on a first down

(01:50:09):
play getting them right on track here. Yeah, this is
this is one of those teams again, a tricky out.
Patriots always good, especially defensively, and that's what's kept them
in this game. That turnover was costly for the Ravens
and think about this. Okay, So again back to Mike
McDaniel and these Dolphins, who right now lead in Miami
over the Bills. Uh. They beat the Patriots, they hosted

(01:50:30):
them week one to seven victory. Their defense look great.
Defense struggled against the Ravens on the road in Baltimore,
but the offense just went absolutely nuts to out a day. Uh.
And that was a forty victory last weekend. And here
we are against the Buffalo Bills, who just looked like
war daddies for the first two weeks of the season,
absolutely beating the doors off the Rams in Week one,

(01:50:53):
the Thursday night opener, and then taking the Titans out
behind the tool shed. They're struggling for life right now
in this game inst the Dolphins on the road. I
mean the numbers are all Bills. First down fifteen total yards,
three sixty eight to two thirteen, time of possession thirty
one minutes the nineteen. But that's you know, the one turnover.

(01:51:14):
Miami took advantage of that, and two is number for
the Bills. I mean, that's that's factory. Now again, that
doesn't give you the lead, certainly, but this is a
closer ball game one instead of trailing by four year late. Uh,
the Panthers have added a field goal, they've increased their
lead to New Orleans now at at twenty two to seven.

(01:51:34):
And also the Jets, trying to get back in their
game against the Bengals, were nearing the end of the
third quarter there they had a field goal. So the
Bengals still leading this game by a score of twenty
seven to twelve. Yeah, the Patriots are driving mac Jones
after a successful throw out to Damien Harris took it

(01:51:55):
himself and so now they're back in the red zone
against the Ravens. And uh, yeah, this would be a
huge comeback victory for the Patriots. But then we got
to talk about the Ravens. If they lose this game,
they fall to one and two, And you know, the
Ravens were supposed to be one of these top tier
teams in early on. With two losses after week three,

(01:52:17):
that's a little bit of a struggle bus situation. Uh.
The Colts went for it on fourth and one at
the Chief's thirty yard line and came up short. They
turned it over on downs, So Chiefs take the ball
back ten forty three to go in the game. Chiefs
lead this game by a score of seventeen to third team.
But I'll tell you this, the Colts defense has been

(01:52:38):
outstanding in the game. The only thing really keeping them
in this game right now is that defense. So Chiefs
have the ball. They're actually facing a third down situation
right now, so they might be able to get the
Colts back on the ball. Patriots facing a third and
goal here after the Damien Harris handoff, he got them
to the ten yard line again, trailing the Ravens by

(01:52:58):
five at home thirty one twenty. Right now, Matt Patricia
on the sideline call and plays in to Mac Jones
in the huddle, and we have an injury. Another injury
in this Dolphins Bills game. I mean, this is all
over the place. How many players have been taken off
this field? Well, right there, it looks like uh Landing Roberts,
the linebacker, he is uh favoring the leg. It's hard

(01:53:20):
to tell if there's cramping going on or what's been
going on a lot of leg injuries to Humphrey in
the end zone, he was getting pushed way back pressure
on Mac Jones. He heaves one off his back floot
and in the back corner of the end zone, Humphrey
comes up with the pick and with nine minutes left

(01:53:41):
on the clock. That is a costly error for the
Patriots office. This throw should not have been made. No
chance uh second interception of the game for mac Jones,
so an opportunity for the Patriots to take the lead. Instead,
it's the Ravens regaining the ball nine minutes to go
in the fourth corridor are if you can tell, we're
heading to some exciting finishes on another busy Sunday in

(01:54:04):
the NFL. For all the information you need, keep it
right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This
is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place
that you may admiss the right they give it to
editors up the whole touch to the chase out, what's

(01:54:27):
the guy that got hit, gets the penalty, gets the touchdown.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right, that was
Dolphins Radio network. As we mentioned, Dolphins leading the Bills.

(01:54:48):
Twenty one is seventeen. This is Fox Sports Red Zone
Radio live from the tire IRAQ dot Com studios. Little
controversy here, the Bills have the ball and Josh Allen
got called for a personal foul. I didn't see him
push anybody, it seemed like he said something and the
official through a flag. It created a second and twenty

(01:55:11):
five situation. They just got fifteen yards back on a
pass from Allan to Digs. It was under the pile.
But what happened was Christian Wilkins and him got got
into it. Wilkins has had several borderline dirty shots today
in the game, and I guess this most recent one
Josh Allen uh pulled his helmet off and so they

(01:55:33):
gave him a flag for that and uh. And so
that's where we're at right now in the Bills game
against the Dolphins. Here alright, so third, third and ten
right now for the Bills. We inside the eight minute mark.
Miami leading this game twenty one seventeen. Josh Allen big
numbers thirty four three or eight yards, two touchdowns, no picks.

(01:55:54):
He also has thirty nine yards on the ground, but
again they only have seventeen points. You feel Miami every
time Miami is needed a day. By the way, it
is ninety greas and smoking hot in Miami, so a
lot of these injuries indeed, it is cramping going on there.
What a pass by Josh Allen. What a who's running

(01:56:15):
down the probably a wheel route down the right sideline.
He was on the run, ranging to his ride and
just feathered the ball over Singletary's shoulder. That was just
a gorgeous, gorgeous play, Absolutely amazing throw and catch first
down there for the Bills. Meanwhile, the Patriots have the
ball back six they trail the Ravens. Couple of interceptions

(01:56:36):
by Mac Joseph. Now a big completion that fumbled and
is it covered in the end, so yes, it's on
the field. Fumble recovered by the Ravens. That's unbelievable. Marcus
Peters comes up with the fumble recovery. Was this agalor
whoever was deep crossing route over the middle pass by
Mic Jones and then it was actually Marcus Peter who's

(01:56:58):
in coverage. Ball knock out and he's on dude, Yeah,
I think that's recovered inbounds. Is a huge, huge play
for this Ravens. Now, we're coming down the stretch in
this game, five and a half minutes to go. That
would have been a huge play for the Patriots. Instead,
it is a fumble and it is a recovery for

(01:57:20):
the Baltimore Ravens, So the Ravens will get the ball back,
leading thirty one to twenty six turnovers, killing New England
in this game. They've had every opportunity a couple of interception.
In fact, can we hear that last interception that was
thrown by Mac Jones. Jones backpedals under pressure lobs for
Parker looking at the end zone, that is intercepted, Marlin

(01:57:41):
Hupfrey with the pick, and the Ravens come up with
the Foods defensive play that deflates the entire stadium ninety
five the sports having the Patriots read in a network
that was not a good interception thrown by Mac Jones. Uh. Meanwhile,
the Ravens do get the ball back after the fumble.
So yeah, I mean Lamar Jackson scroll for four touchdowns,

(01:58:01):
he has one yards on the ground rushing. He's doing
a lot of things right. But New England without the turnovers,
could easily be leading this game, There's no question about it.
And this is so anti Bill Belichick Patriots football, right.
I Mean, usually they're the team that is waiting for
their opponent to make the costly mistake and they've made
three of them. The two interceptions you mentioned from Mac

(01:58:23):
Jones to Nelson Algalore fumble on that play, I mean
that puts you ahead, assuming you score on the drive, well,
assuming you score a touchdown on the drive. Now they
got Ravens football with left on the clock in the
fourth alright. The Raiders got a field goal to cut
it to sixteen against the Titans or nearing the two

(01:58:45):
minute mark. The Raiders just went for it on third
and ten. It was incomplete. So they have a fourth
and ten at their own thirty two yard line with
two nineteen to go. What do you do? Do you
go for it on your own thirty t r line?
Fourth down, down eight, a little more than two minutes
to go? I think, I mean what I mean? I

(01:59:06):
I understand. Now you have to You've given up twenty
four points. You need to leave your offense out there.
You need to convert this fourth down. Alright, So we
got that game and also the game that is still tied.
Texas and Bears Rich were inside the two minute mark.
The Texans have the ball from their own seventeen yard line,

(01:59:26):
So unless they move the ball quickly, we might be
looking at another overtime game. We've had a lot of
overtimes the first couple of weeks, and we know the
Texans they'll play for that tie. They got no problem
playing for a love. Smith loves those ties and almost intercepted.
So the Bills had a first in five situation, almost

(01:59:47):
intercepted by the Dolphins. Um Iam again leading this game
twenty one to seventeen, fourty one to go and the
fourth quarter. There, Colts have the ball back. How about this,
they're at the Chiefs twent nine. About this fourth and fifteen, now,
dark Carr and the offense took a a delay of
game penalty and did they take another no second time

(02:00:09):
out for the Tennessee Titans. So that fourth and tent
that we were saying that the Raiders needed to get
is now fourth and fifteen after this Tennessee time out.
All right, so we have the Colts and Chiefs. Colts
have the ball there at the Chiefs twenty nine yard line,
first and ten to thirty to go in the fourth quarter.
She's still leading this game seventeen thirteen, but the Colts

(02:00:32):
have been hanging in where their defense can they get
into the end zone to take a lead we got
that game all right. Obviously, we wanna have some exciting
finishes all around the National Football League. This is Week three.

The way tire buying should be a couple of quick
notes here. The Bears have pulled out of victory against
the Texans. We had talked about the Texans had the
ball looked like we might be heading to overtime. Davis
Mills throws a pick and had set up a game
winning field goal by the Bears at the gun, so

(02:01:38):
that one is in the books and the Bears, despite
the fact that it was a rough day at the
office for Justin Fields, to say the least. Uh, They
escaped with a twenty three to twenty victory. In the game,
Fields was eight of seventeen a hundred and six yards,
two picks, no touchdowns, doesn't matter. They get the w
over the Texans. All right, couple of things is that

(02:02:00):
we're updating you on the Bills and the Dolphins have
been the game of the day. We got one forty
six to go in this game. Have the Dolphins held
on the Bills? Is that what we're looking at here?
The Bills were knocking on the door. Let's see we
get an update. Do we have an update on that?
All right? It was Josh Allen throwing a ball that

(02:02:23):
gets its incomplete. That was fourth down. Yeah, that was
fourth down. Yeah, So it'll be first and ten for
the Dolphins when play resumes. We're looking at this Raiders
game though, and I did they just did they just
turn it over on downs? No? They had first and
goal at the Tennessee nine yard lines. So the Raiders

(02:02:45):
down eight, So they got that fourth and fifteen. By
the way, Derek Carr found mac Hollins and then a
couple of plays later they got it down inside the
Tennessee Titans twenty yard line. And here we are fresh
set of downs for Derek Carr first intent opportunity from
the ten yard line in Tennessee trailing by eight. So
if they scored an e two more one left on

(02:03:07):
the clock. Meanwhile, the other big developing story the Colts
and the Chiefs, and the Colts took the lead. H
Gilanni Woods passed from Matt Ryan twelve yards. The Colts
lead twenty to seventeen. The Chiefs have the ball just
fourteen seconds left. Patrick Mahomes in this game has a
passer rating of ninety. Matt Ryan is a hundred five

(02:03:28):
point nine. Who would have guessed? So now it's eight
seconds to go. The Chiefs desperately trying to hang off
with one last opportunity to have a first and ten.
Right now, I don't know. They're at the well there
at the forty four yard line. We gotta get that
game on somewhere, guys, where I can see it. It's
up at the top up there there at the forty

(02:03:49):
six yard line. Eight seconds ago, first down, they got
to get a play to try to get into field
goal range. Oh my goodness, I think it was deflected
and was it intercepted? I think yes it was. Bolts
are celebrating right now that was an interception. So the
culture right now if they if they got the pick,

(02:04:11):
they just ice this thing. Seen. Victory for Indianapolis over
the Kansas City Chiefs. Okay, on second and ten, incomplete pass.
Derek Carr trying to find his receiver in the end
zone and he's been petitioning to these officials this entire
drive that the Tennessee Titans defenders are holding his receivers.

(02:04:31):
And we got Fulton who's down in the defensive secondary
for the Titans right now. But again, the Raiders trail
by eight, so the best they could do is tie here,
minute twenty two left on the clock, facing third and goal,
when this injury time out, uh is over all right?
Not over yet? Dolphins Bills. Dolphins have the ball a
third and eleven at their own one yard line right now,

(02:04:54):
Bills trying to force a punt and get the ball
in pretty good position. One forty three to go in
the fourth quarter. Dolphins lead the Bills by a score
of seventeen, So we got our eyes on that one
third and eleven to ah wow, incomplete pass. So they're
gonna have to kick out of the back of their
end zone. There. Meanwhile, here was the Bears big play

(02:05:16):
snapped out kick up by Cairo Santos. It is good
for the wind. Time expires twenty three twenty Bears Cairo Santos.
A chip shot from thirty gets it done, but only
because of ral Kuant Smith swiping that tip pass from
Angelo Blackson for returning it and setting up shop for

(02:05:37):
the Bears. So there you go, w BBM News Radio
seven eight a m. And one of five point nine
Bears radio network. So the Bears steal one. They'll take it.
There's no style points in the NFL and wins and win.
Bears are now two on one. The Texans go O
two and one. Bears win that game, all right. So
the Dolphins are punting from the back of their end
zone blocked. They kicked its mate. It's a safety that

(02:06:04):
went out the back of the end zone, so it
will be ruled the safety that was unbelievable. So he
literally kicked it off the back of his own teammate. Okay,
so check this out. Minute thirty two left in this game.
Miami leads team, but with the safety. Now it's twenty
one nineteen and they have to kick off to the
Buffalo Bills. He kicked it off the rear end of

(02:06:26):
the up back in the backfield for the punt return team.
That I've never seen that before my office. But all right,
we have a development in the Raiders game here. It
was third down. Is this ball dropped? That is just
rock that's incomplete. He put that. Let's see if the
Titan that's literally right on his hands, which would have

(02:06:50):
been a touchdown. Instead, it's dropped. Derek carrs like, you
gotta be kidding me. You gotta be kidding me. Absolutely dropped. Safe.
Now fourth and goal for the Raiders. There's one eight
team to go. They are down eight and they got
to get in the end zone. It's fourth and goal
to ten yard line. Car throws to the end zone,
jump ball situations. Tess mac collins elevates and catches it

(02:07:15):
over a Titans defender and that is a touchdown for
the Raiders. They bring it within two. You need the
two point conversion with a minute fourteen left on the clocks. Unbelievable.
Carcuss sort of casually just threw it out there, like
all right, let's see if you could do something here
a jump ball situation. Look at this catch, I mean

(02:07:37):
a lot of contact between the defender and the receiver,
but they let it go and Hollins comes down with
the reception and the score. Alright, the freak kick for
the Dolphins after the safety, Bills get the ball on
the free kick to go. Now, remember because of the
two point game, two point conversion. Here Derek Carr going

(02:07:59):
for a hass here shotgun and it is knocked away.
That's it. So they trailed to Titans. Get the ball
back here and that game's over all right, well it
would appear to be over. What's interesting again about that
safety for the Dolphins. Instead of a four point game,
now two point game, meaning if the Bills can get

(02:08:21):
themselves into field goal position, they could kick a field
goal to win the game. They got a long way
to go. I mean that is about is costly of
I mean he kicked it. The punter kicked it off
the up backs rear end. I've never seen that before.
Literally left his foot and hit immediately hit the backside
of his teammate. Nick Cope is calling it the butt safety.

(02:08:43):
The safety I think we can coin that now. But meanwhile,
game we haven't watched a lot recently, but we got
a game, and that is the Lions and the Vikings.
The Lions have been leading this gamest route still have one.
We got a minute to go, actually forty seven seconds ago,
and the Vikings have a first down at the Detroit

(02:09:04):
twenty eight yard line. NFL is just crazy, I mean
so right now, the Vikings at the very least trying
to get a field goal to send that game into overtime.
Josh Allen scrambles unbelievable play right there. That's what Josh
Allen does. Big throw right there, moving the ball. The
Bills again trying to get into field goal position to

(02:09:24):
win this game. They are still on the only side
of the field at the forty yard line. Clock is
running inside a minute ago from their own forty yard line.
Bills trying to get into field goal position. Josh Allen
throws the ball. That ball is stripped by the Dolphins.
That'll stop the clock. Fifty one seconds to play. Dolphins
lead Buffalo by a score of twenty one to nineteen. Meanwhile,

(02:09:47):
the Vikings at the twenty eight yard line right now,
forty nine seconds left. Down O my gosh, down the
Vikings Oh my gosh, what do we just see? That
was an It was a busted coverage coverage kJ Osborne
was left a loan uh and just strolled into the

(02:10:07):
front of the end zone. So now they lead four
at home over the Detroit Lions. That bad timing for
a defense to have a brain fart like that. That
is awful alright, penning the extra point. Meanwhile, the Bills
continue to move thirty six, thirty five. The clock is
running there at midfield, third and one, trying to get

(02:10:30):
into field goal position. Quick out pass that will stop
the clock with twenty seven seconds to go. Still not
in field goal position. They need probably another eight to
ten yards. Yeah, yeah, balls out the forty five, so
they they still need about another ten yards. Meanwhile, the

(02:10:51):
clock is ticking off. It is over. The Tennessee Titans
are no longer winless. They will defeat the Raiders by
a score of twenty four are to twenty two in
a game where tanneled through for two sixty four, Derrick
Henry ran for eighty five. Derek carth three in her
three yards in the loss. So the Raiders and Josh
McDaniels are oh and three first and tent opportunity for

(02:11:13):
Josh Allen and the Bills, and he just heaves it away.
He was under immediate pressure in the pocket, and that
that's been a storyline in this game too. This normally
stout offensive front from the Buffalo Bill side have been
allowing a lot of pressure on Josh Allen today again,
Miami still leading, twenty two seconds left on the clock
after the safety though, Bills driving with the chance to

(02:11:35):
win the game if they get an opportunity to kick
this field goal. Second and ten now for Allen and
the Bills. All right, the extra point good. So the
Vikings lead the Lions again. Lions leading throughout this game,
no longer Vikings up twenty four. There's forty five seconds
left as Lions will get it back incomplete. And so

(02:11:56):
now it's third and ten for the Bills. Eighteen set
kins left. They still need about ten yards to get
into a reasonable position to kick what would be a
game winning field wheather at the Miami forty three right
now facing this third and ten, and nothing's worked on
this drive as soon as they crossed over midfield, and

(02:12:17):
it's look these guys are exhausted again. It's ninety eight
degrees ninety seven degrees down there in Miami in terms
of the heat indecks a lot of humidity early September,
huge advantage in South Beach for the Dolphins who have
these hot, muggy training camps. So there's late game situations.
It tests you. A couple of games winding down right now,

(02:12:38):
Bengals will beat the Jets, are up twenty seven and twelve,
two minutes to go. Eagles will beat the Commanders. They're
up eight inside two minutes ago. Here we go Bills
looking for a play and it looks like, oh, Alan
avoids the sack. Quick pass over the middle is open
and the Dolphins bring him down forty one second. There's
eight seconds seven. They're gonna have to spike the ball.
There may not be enough time, the Bills trying to

(02:13:00):
get the ball down three one. Game over. That's it.
Games over, Game over, Game over. The Miami Dolphins have
upset the Buffalo Bills twenty one to seven. Nineteen. We
had missed the flag. There was a holding call in
one of the Bill's offensive linemen that bounced them back,

(02:13:20):
and so they had more ground to make up on that.
Just comedy of errors. Toward the end of the game
for both teams. Dolphins with the butt safety uh Hunter
puts it off of the back or off off of
the butt cheeks of his upman, and it goes out
the back of the end zone, brings it within two points,
and the Bills with the holding call just not enough

(02:13:42):
time to get it within field goal range. Now the
clock ran out, by the way, Josh Allen in this
game finishes forty two of sixty three four one yards,
two touchdowns, no picks. Not good enough to a ton
of a thirteen of eighteen hundred eighty six yards in
a town he actually had a passer rating thirty points

(02:14:02):
higher than Josh Allen. So the Miami Dolphins are now
three and all are they now the number one team
in the league three weeks in? They're real. They beat
the Bills. They beat the Bills, they beat the Patriots,
they beat the Ravens. I mean, if you told me,
who are three teams you think you could come out
of the A, F, C and B playoff teams, those
they would be in the category. Wait a second, this game,

(02:14:23):
Oh okay, all right, we got seventeen seconds left. The
Vikings are leading the Lions four. Jared Goff trying to
lead the Lions back, and they're at midfield. So they're
at midfield right now, so at the very least they
might have a couple opportunities for some hail Mary's coming up.
They are sitting at third and ten right now. That

(02:14:45):
one was almost intercepted by the Vikings. That was a
close one there, Jared goff as soon as it came
off his hands. That was alright, So seventeen seconds left again,
Vikings up by four, were exactly at midfield right now,
third and ten for the Lions. Let's see what Golf
does right now. He's scrambling, which is not his four tee,

(02:15:06):
throws it up towards the end zone and it is
intercepted by the Vikings. That is going to do it there.
So the Vikings come from behind and they will defeat
the Lions by a score of twenty eight to four. Unbelievable.
All right, let's continue on. We got games actually kicking

(02:15:27):
off right now around the National Football League. Will update
to all that. Keep it right here. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio, his Fox Red Zone Radio, and
we've got the place that you may admits waiting on
the stamp takes it looking left. It's gonna fire up

(02:15:47):
fields broken up. Accepted by the Corts. It accepted by
the Colts. It's not in con intercepting. Two seconds left.
You're now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Well that was Colts

(02:16:13):
Radio Network. Colts do it. They pull the upset, knock
out the Chiefs twenty to seventeen. Colts get their first
win of the year. This is Fox Sports read Zone
Radio live from the tire Rack dot Com studios. Now
it's time for the NFL Fox Focus all right. Earlier

(02:16:38):
by the game, Patriots had their chances, but the Ravens
beat the Pageots by a score of thirty seven to
twenty six at at Gillette Stadium. She was there covering
the game as usual. Pam Oliver is joining us right now, Hey, Pam.
Unbelievable game today. Patriots certainly had their chances. But before
we even get to some of the game, do we
have an update right now? And mac Joe is because

(02:17:00):
it looked like he got hurt right at the end
of that game. Yeah, that was unfortunate. We haven't gotten
an official word on what happened to him. You know,
we saw the collision and um some him coming down
on his knee. But we gotta wait until they've had
a chance to evaluate before we go into that. You know, Pam,
we're so used to seeing Patriots teams avoid the big

(02:17:21):
mistakes and allow the opponents to make them three turnovers
from New England, a rough day at the office. Where
do they go from here? They just got to pick
up the pieces. Um, you know, if that was very
very surprising. We know how tough they are, we know
how discipline they are, but these mistakes are going to
happen sometimes, especially with a young guy. They can call her. Um.

(02:17:43):
I think they'll get back to work and fix some
of those things. Bell Belichick told me at the half.
You know, it was all about fundamentals. He preaches that,
you know, minute by minute by minute. But unfortunately for
them that didn't work out today. You know, Pam, Lamar
Jackson is definitely in the the conversation. Over twenty yards,
passing over a hundred yards, rushing four touchdowns through the air,

(02:18:05):
one on the ground. Um. He seems to be a
man on a mission. No longer in contract negotiations of
the Ravens. But it looks like to us that Lamar
Jackson is resembling that quarterback that was m v P
a couple of years ago. Yeah. Frankly, I think Lamar,
you know, just has a bit of a chip on
his shoulder. I think he got tired of people talking

(02:18:27):
about him just being a running quarterback and he was
determined to do something about that. But I think he's
determined to be great for his own purposes and for
the purposes of the team, not to necessarily quiet some
of his critics. Um, I think you're just You're seeing
a real nice fire in Lamar at this point, and
the Ravens are definitely going to benefit from it. Yeah,
no question. A lot of criticism this offseason after an

(02:18:49):
injury season for Lamar last year and the Ravens they
still had a chance of being the a f C
North representatives. Two of those games consecutive fashion decided by
two point conversion failures. UH. Coach Harbor obviously trusting his
offense to go for it last season and that cost
them the season. Is this a team when you were

(02:19:10):
in production meetings that seems like they're hungry and ready
to be the team they were supposed to be a
year ago. I think they are you know, they don't
harp on the fact that they had all those injuries.
They just just focused on the here and now. I
think even after last week and that debacle against the Dolphins,
they sort a really good resolves. They sort of put

(02:19:30):
their heads down and went back to work. Um. I
think that was a tough loss and embarrassing loss for them,
but they're determined to show that's not who they are.
I think today we saw a lot of who they
are and how they rebounded, especially defensively. Pam, you've worked
a lot of Patriots games over the years. You know
Bill Belichick and what he's all about. Their one and
two right now. They have to add a Green Bay

(02:19:52):
next week. Obviously that's gonna be a tough game for them. Um,
is there still a sense of confidence? I mean, four
turnovers today doesn't help, But I mean, is there still
some of that swagger when you got Belichick on the
sidelines for New England. As much as they demonstrate swagger,
you know how they are. They're all kind of old
school and you know, extems from him. I don't think

(02:20:13):
they're lacking in confidence at all. I just think, you know,
they're looking at just getting through this month the best
they can, I think, like every team does. And you know,
I'm not looking at it like you know, the Patriots
have to go back to the drawing board. They definitely
have issues, and um, you know, if it wasn't for
those mistakes today, you know, things could have been different.
I think the Ravens deafens, you know, needed to really

(02:20:36):
come together in order to, um, try to rebound from
all of that. And but I think the Patriots are
the Patriots and they always will be. Um. They've got talent,
they've got coaching, and I think they're gonna be just fine. Yeah,
you look forward to next week. No easy task hosting
the Bills next. Josh Allen obviously like an m v

(02:20:59):
P end of day. Well, we saw them loose to
the Dolphins. It was all on Allen in this offense
down the stretch. What do you think should be the
plan for the Ravens defensively hosting the Buffalo Bills in
Baltimore the week to come? Uh, figure out that guy, um,
you know best first and foremost. He he's really elevated
his game. And um, you know everyone's talking about Josh

(02:21:23):
Allen at this point, and I think it's just a
matter of, you know, having the best plan in places
you can because he's playing at a different level. The
Bills are showing themselves to be in a special class
at this point. So um, it just behooves those opponents
to to try to figure him out as much as possible,
to try to slow them down, you know, with that

(02:21:43):
offense and defense. Just really complimentary football, Pam. We really
appreciate the time. Thanks so much. You had a hell
of a game to watch today. We'll talk to you
down the road. A lot of fun. Alright, guys, you
can you'd be good. Thanks so much. Fam Oliver joining
us there again. The Ravens beating the Patriots by score
of thirty seven to twenty six. So rich, right now,
we got two teams that got to three and oh

(02:22:05):
one of the Miami Dolphins, the other the Philadelphia Eagles.
Are you ready for that Dolphins Eagles super Bowl? Yeah?
I mean you know that was the one I called
in the preseason. Some so the former teammates Jalen Hurts
to a tongue of I would that be unbelievable to
a bench Jalen Hurts at Alabama and they would match
up in a Super Bowl. Well, what's ahead of myself
here after after after the rough start, the Patriots will

(02:22:29):
make it to the wild card round and it'll be
Patriots Dolphins for then FC Championships. You always take the
pat because again, Mac Jones the other we don't even
from Alabama. No, he just by the way, that's a
story we did not cover. Mac Jones apparently, well, she
had no update on and we asked her. But yeah,
per reports though from the Boston Globe, was screaming in

(02:22:53):
the locker room post game with an apparent ankle injury.
He could put no weight on it as he was
hopping off the field. Uh, A Claiss Campbell QB hit
is what caused the injury. So we'll see what the
prognosis is for him moving forward. All right, let's find
out what's trending right now. And we were lucky she
even made it here today. It's busy in the streets

(02:23:14):
outside our studios here, it is Moncy's here. I really
was like, do I just parked my car and walk
because I can't drive. There's a protest and there's a
bunch of people on the streets and I couldn't get in.
I was like, oh my goodness. Yeah, outside our studios
is a notorious protest corner, but apparently this one's a

(02:23:36):
little larger than usual, so a little bit, a little bit,
and there were people trying to control the situation, but
it just was too many people, you know, Like, I
don't know if it still is bad because I can't
see from this side, so you let me know how
bad it looks. But when I came in, it was
real bad. Guys. All right, nine games in the books,
and we just got four that got started. But nobody
on the scoreboard yet for any of these two that

(02:23:58):
just got started between the Jaguars and the Chargers, Rams
and Cardinals, Falcons and Seahawks, Packers and Buccaneers. But good news,
Justin Herbert is playing for the Chargers. Yea, so that's
good news. But nobody on the score board for any
of these games. So let's do a recap of what
has happened so far. The Ravens. They outscored the Patriots
thirty seven to twenty six. Lamar Jackson, as you said,

(02:24:19):
week one, show me the money right through for two
hundred and eighteen yards four touchdowns. Also had a rushing
touchdown in the fourth quarter to secure the Ravens win.
The Texans and the Bears were tied at twenty going
into the fourth quarter, and the Bears won with the
last second field goal twenty three to twenty. Texans quarterback
Davis Mills was forty two for two hundred and forty
five yards. He had a touchdown and two interceptions. Bears

(02:24:39):
quarterback Justin Fields was eight of seventeen for a hundred
and six yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions. Colts came back
in the fourth quarter to beat the Chiefs twenty to seventeen.
They pulled off the upset totally because the Chiefs had
a chance to tie the game they intercepted the ball.
The Colts did with eight seconds left. Patrick Mahomes threw
for two hundred and sixty two yards and a touchdown,
also had an interception, and Matt Ryan two hundred and

(02:25:01):
twenty two yards and two touchdowns for the Colts. The
Dolphins improved to a perfect three I know this season,
outscoring the Bills twenty one to nineteen two. Otoo a
hundred and six yards in a touchdown, Josh Allen four
hundred yards and two touchdowns in the loss the Raiders,
they had a chance to tie the game with the
last last second two point conversion, but they were unable

(02:25:22):
to deliver, as the Titans one twenty four to twenty two.
The Panthers they beat the Saints to fourteen. The Eagles
also three and no, dominated the Commanders eight. Washington didn't
score until the fourth quarter. I have Carson Wentz on
one of my fantasy leagues. He was sacked nine times, guys,
nine times. Not good, but you know what, at least
he was only negative one at the end. For my score.

(02:25:42):
He threw for two hundred and eleven yards. The Bengals,
they came out hot this week and they handled the
Jets twenty seven to twelve. And the Vikings they beat
the Lines to twenty four. Dalvin Cook had a shoulder
injury and did not come back to play the rest
of the game for the Vikings. And that is what
we've had so far. Back to you, guys, Moncy, if
you have Carson Wentz, is your quarterback, can write that

(02:26:04):
team off. I had, I had Dak Prescott. I had
Dak Prescott and then he got hurt. And then I
tried to pick someone up and I didn't. I had
to pick himp. I just picked up Jimmy g but
I didn't play him because Carson had two pretty good
weeks this past last two weeks, you know, not so
good today. Well he's not good just in general, but
for fantasy he's good. He has to throw the ball.

(02:26:25):
So he got sacked. He had six sacks in the
first half. I know. Oh yeah, they had negative net
passing yards. Surprise, he's still standing and walking nine sacks later,
Ali Mony, thank you very much. By the way, we
do have an early score. Tampa Bay on their opening
drive gets a field goal against the Packers. Tom Brady,
the ageless wonder for for four thirty nine yards and

(02:26:47):
that opening drive, so Green Bay will now take over
as Tampa as an early three nothing lead, and the
Seattle Seahawks are on the board, Gino Smith leading him
to a field goal on their opening drive, so up
three nothing over the Atlanta Falcons. Unbelievable games this morning.
We didn't get to over time. It looks like a game.

(02:27:07):
A couple of games we're gonna get close, but late turnovers,
I mean, a lot of scoring today. Just an absolutely
wild morning. Those first nine games of the NFL. Yeah,
I can't believe some of the things we witnessed um,
you know, but most importantly it's the three and O
football teams. We got a Philadelphia Eagles team that advanced
the three and O on the season, a Miami Dolphins

(02:27:27):
team that advances to three and O on the season.
This preseason, those were two teams specifically where a lot
of people were questioning the quarterbacks. A lot of people
were questioning if what we saw a year ago was
real with the Eagles, if the offseason editions would work
in Miami, And we're starting to see some answers. It's
working in Miami. They've beaten some really good teams. The

(02:27:49):
Philadelphia Eagles defensively are very good offensively. Jalen hurts Man,
I mean, he's in the m v P conversation, whatever
you want. He is the best quarterback in the league
right now. He's in the m v P conversation. If
they continue to win. By the way, the Rams have
gotten a field goal. They have an early three nothing
lead on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. So you

(02:28:11):
mentioned in Miami and Philadelphia both the three and oh
two other teams trying to get to three adult one.
No surprise, I would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as
right now, they're leading three nothing over the Packers, the
other team. Who would have thought Giants hosting the Cowboys
on Monday Night. Giants are two and oh Ran table
you know he had he went for it on the

(02:28:32):
two point conversion opening game. We wondered would that ignite
this Giants team? Now they're gonna be home Monday night
against the Cowboys. Imagine if the Giants get to three
and oh, I mean, I mean, you would have the
Giants and the Eagles at three and oh, and the
Cowboys would be in deep trouble in that NFC East.
Let's talk about the NFC East for a second. From
the quarterback standpoint in the preseason, you you didn't love

(02:28:55):
what the Cowboys did, which was a whole lot of
nothing in terms of improving their roster. But you all
of Dak Prescott and you look around the rest of
that division, you say, okay, well, Carson Wentz alright, Jalen Hurts, Okay,
you know it's uh, I was more than okay. Okay, yeah,
you but and you've been consistent with that, but there
are questions still. And then you look at Daniel Jones

(02:29:16):
and you say, all right, well, the questionnaires. Would Brian
Dable do for Daniel Jones what he helped do for
Josh Allen and Buffalo. I guess my point is with
Dac out of the picture now, with Hurts playing as
well as he was last year, was not a force.
It appears to be just a stepping stone for what
we're seeing in your two and look the Giants. I
still have major questions after two games, but the Giants

(02:29:39):
are winning right now. This nfcast looks way different than
I think a lot of people expected by the way.
I want to mention one guy for the Seahawks and
they're opening drive, Rashod Penny at a San Diego State
who you saw throughout his college career four carry's thirty
five yards on that opening drive. This is a guy
who in his fifth season the NFL in and out

(02:30:01):
with injuries as a career yards per carry average of
five point five career. Yeah, he's he's incredible when he's
averaging eight point yards are already in this game. The
problem is his availability just has not been able to
stay healthy and on the field for the Seahawks. But
if he continues to stay healthy, this could be one

(02:30:21):
of the league's best running backs. You can book it
because I I've never watched a more incredible performer live
in game than Rashad Penny when he was at San
Diego State. I called every single game of his career,
and uh, it was quite frankly, it was my pleasure.
It was unbelievable to watch. Yeah, he was unbelievable. All right.
The Jags are the ones on the move early on.

(02:30:43):
Uh they have a first down and ten at the
Chargers twenty nine yard line. No score in this game
three minutes in, and you just watch Trevor Lawrence right now,
And what a difference a coach can make. That's all
I can say. We we knew Doug Peterson was going
to be an upgrade from Urban Meyer. That was a given.
The question is how quickly would we see maybe a

(02:31:04):
return of that Trevor Lawrence we saw at clips and
that that confidence, that air of utilizing and his incredible ability.
We're starting to see a lot of that in Jacksonville.
I got bad news for Chargers fans. Joey Bosa, pass
rusher pro bowler was just escorted off the field by
doctors and he threw his helmet on the sideline really

(02:31:26):
really upset. So with Herbert with a rib cartilage fracture
and now Joey Bosa being evaluated on the sideline. Uh,
you have two of your best players offensively and defensively
banged up in this one. And yet going back to
Trevor Lawrence. Though Jacksonville Jaguars, I mean they just looked
awful last year being led by Urban Meyer. The season
just was I the off season, the whole season. His

(02:31:51):
entire tenure was a mess. But now with Doug Peterson
at the helm, Lawrence looks confident. He looks more like
the player we saw or at very least resemble in
the player we saw in Clemson. And the run game
has been really good with et t n healthy for
the first time in his pro career. Al right down
to the ten yard line, a first down for the
Jags inside two minutes to go on the first court

(02:32:13):
of looking for the first score of that game. Uh.
And they are moving the ball ball quite effectively against
this chargers a defense. Also, the Packers are moving the
ball quite impressive on their opening drive. Buccaneers with the
early three nothing lead. A little bit earlier today, we
talked to Aaron Andrews about this matchup. And you know

(02:32:34):
some of the injuries the Packers have had on their
offensive line, the youth at the receiver position, what kind
of patients with Aaron Rodgers have with this team. But
at least on this opening drive, they're moving the ball
quite nicely. Yeah, yeah, there's no doubt about it. And
look at this is going to be one of those Yeah,
believe it when you see its situations with the Packers
young receiving court. Yeah you got you got Cobb, but

(02:32:55):
you also are relying on Dubbs, you have an injured Lazard,
You're waiting for some of these pieces to coalesce around
Aaron Rodgers. And um, they're playing without or excuse me,
for the first time in this season and most of
the last David Baktiar. He gets his left tackle back.
So I'm expecting to see better production from the Packers

(02:33:17):
as the season goes on. But they're playing against a
really good Buccaneers team, and early in the season we've
seen that we saw this last season. There are usually
some early struggles from Green Bay. Alright, So the Packers
right now inside the fifteen yard line of the Buccaneers
Bucks lead that game three nothing. Meanwhile, the Falcons have
a first and goal at the Seattle three yard line.

(02:33:37):
Seahawks up three nothing there, all right, We'll continue on,
continue to bring you everything updated around the National Football League.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the plays that you
may admit. Rogers looks it over, takes the snap, swings

(02:34:01):
it right side. I'm the slat cutters man in the
end to put the touchdown. Chromeo Dodge his first career touchdown.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That was three of

(02:34:25):
the game. W r n W Packers Radio Network. Packers
take the lead over the Bucks seven to three to
thirty five to go in the first quarter. There. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio live from the tire
rack dot Com studio. Has been another crazy Sunday. Can't
do without the cast. Iowa, Sam, that's me started strong

(02:34:51):
only got stronger started. Okay, I'll tell you what you are.
You are no one I've ever met. Yes, yeah, yeah.
Is that a compliment or I don't know what should
be flattered? No? No, I think that's a compliment. I'll
tell you later. All right. Let me know, yes, very

(02:35:12):
unique character Moncy doing a Troy and his job. Nick
Cope was in a little bit earlier as well, giving
us all the updates on a very busy day around
the National Football League. And and Ryan are brilliant producer,
grabbing guests, just doing a multitude of things, keeping his
eyeball and all the games. Uh. I'll tell you what, guys,

(02:35:35):
we certainly weren't disappointed. We didn't get quite all the
exciting finishes we could have had in the morning. There
were just a couple of plays that like, wow, what
just happened there? Like the butt punt for example, the
butt punt which led to a Buffalo possibility to actually
pull the field goal. So this is Ken Dorsey, Buffalo

(02:35:56):
Bill's offensive coordinator, absolutely going ballistic in the booth after
the final play there. It is yeah, yeah, well Ken
Dorsey and the Bills lost. Yeah, uh and they well
they the frustration on that final play was they had
no time out and they completed a pass they were
trying to get into field goal range, but the receiver

(02:36:18):
couldn't get out of bounds by the time they ran
everybody to the line of scrimmage. The spiked the ball,
time had run out. Dolphins are three and oh Eagles
are three and oh Buccaneers looking to go to three
and oh Giants. That's it. We're three weeks in. That's
those are the only undefeated teams left. Well, it's just
like you said, and just like we know, Super Bowl

(02:36:40):
is going to be played in Arizona between the Dolphins
and the Eagles, and it's there. It's it's written two
versus Jalen to got Jalen bench and atabate. It makes sense.
Touch down Cooper Cup. The Rams are rolling right now
against Arizona Cardinals on the road, so that puts it
up nine nothing over the Cardinals. Uh. Kyler Murray is

(02:37:01):
one for four six yards. He has not played well
so far this year. Let me ask you this that
offseason leakage of his contract where he had to put
in four hours a day, um, I you know, And
they said, well that was There was an argument of
how that story came out. They said, well, it's a
public knowledge contract. If you want to read it, it
was in there. Then they removed it from his contract,

(02:37:23):
but it just seemed to me that set the tone.
Murray got the contract extension, but so far. And remember
the m O on Kingsbury is getting off two pretty
good starts and then fading late in the season. If
Arizona builds a deep hole early in this year, I
just wonder about what kind of job security we're looking

(02:37:44):
at their for a guy like Kingsbury. Yeah. Look, if
there's one thing that we know about the Arizona Cardinals
and has been proven over time, is they are prone
to collapse, and so as good as they look early, um,
they will eventually come on heather late. And this season
it hasn't looked all that great early. Well, they stole
that game against the Raiders. Not getting credit on that,

(02:38:06):
look that was but that all that work was done
in the fourth quarter. I mean that was that they
basically snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. And so
if they don't start playing better overall football, yeah, the
seat's gonna get hotter and hotter and hotter. On Kingsbury,
who signed an extension prior to Kyler's extension, and this
sort of felt like a package deal, but in reality,

(02:38:28):
we just we we know what this league is. It's
what have you've done for me lately? And lately there
have been a lot of late season collapses for the
Arizona Cardinals. We only have one oh and three team.
That would be the Raiders stand alone at oh and three.
Josh McDaniels picking up where he left off at the
end of his Denver career losing games as a head coach.

(02:38:50):
We knew going in that the Raiders are gonna have
some problems on their offensive line. We're seeing some positives
out of their offense. But oh and three, Zo and three, Yeah, yeah,
he look. And by the way, they lose by five points,
they lose by six points, and they lose by two points.
So when you're owing three and you lose all three

(02:39:10):
games in one score games, Yeah, losing close games is
not something head coach wants on their resume. And yeah, yeah,
I I think look in close games, the two things
you evaluate the closest is what the head coaches decisions
were down the stretch of the game and what the
quarterback did for you late, right. I mean, that's how
it always goes And and I believe this fully with

(02:39:33):
every coach or every quarterback we talked about they're giving
way too much credit, they're giving way too much blame.
But somewhere in between all that, they are the most
important people on the football team. So Josh McDaniels in
the opening Salvos, the Raiders head coach, there are no
excuses here other than hey, they got to play better
and it's not gonna get easier because that division. Even

(02:39:55):
though the Denver Broncos are playing down right now, there's
treachery ahead and Justin Herbert's hurt, there's treachery ahead because
all the teams you're buying against our good teams with
a lot of talent. Just to say, last year the Raiders, remember,
last year's regular season was remarkable. They won ten games,
they were four and oh and overtime games. They also
won games by two, four and three. I mean they

(02:40:17):
were uncanny last year and winning the close games four
and oh and overtime. Who does that? They did it
last year. That's how they got into the postseason. So
I don't know if this is early payback for the
football gods smiling at him a year ago, but the
Raiders find themselves as the only oh and three team

(02:40:37):
in the NFL. The Jaguars have added another field goal
after a Justin Herbert interception, and the Chargers have no
offense going in this game, six nothing Jags as we're
already into the second quarter. Yeah, they've gone, uh, punt intercept,
punt punt interception. It's been a rough start. They'll get

(02:40:58):
going here on their third dry here and they got
a nice little run for Mechlo to start. Keep it
right here on Fox Sports Radio.
