but he was a significant contributor to the Super Bowl
winning New England Patriots. Uh. This week's legendary moment linebacker
Marty Moore Love game game. He presents conversations with a

is the most memorable thing that you're most proud of
in in your time? Well, you know the thing that
I remember the most, you know, it was my rookie year.

And um, I gone into trainee camp being Mr. Irrelevant.
You know, everyone's like, man, you got no shot to
make the team. You know, there's no way, you know,
you're gonna you're gonna, you know, go beyond of the
year if if you make it on the practice squad.
And so I just said, you know what, I'm just
gonna go out in here. I'm gonna work hard and
and I want to do what I've done my whole career.

And so We're playing Green Bay in the last preseason
game and Todd Collins gets hurt as a week side
linebackers Will and Bill Parcelfa looks at me and he goes,
you're gonna go to the will And I said, I
haven't played that all preseason. He goes, I don't care,
You're going in. So I went in and I had
like sixteen tackles in the last preseason game, and I'm

I'm just happy that I had a good game, and
I'm happy that, you know, I made the team. The
next day when the Grim Reaper let me walk by
him and didn't give me a trash bag, you know.
So I'm all excited. And then Al grow comes up
to me and he goes, hey, you're starting at the
will linebacker against Miami next week. And I'm like, holy mackel.

I went from being the last got draft and Mr Irrelevant.
Now I'm gonna start as a rookie in my in
the season opener, and you know, going to Miami looking
across that field looking at Dan Marino, guy that I
had idolized my entire childhood, and I'm playing against him
my rookie year and I'm starting for the New Land Patriots.
(06:15):
You know, that was like the most memorable moment all
the Super Bowls and the Great playoff wins and all that,
but that right there was this just kind of I
don't know, it was just it's a something I'll never forget,
you know, Um, being a rookie and having all those
(06:35):
things line up the way they did. I just never
want to dream that, uh, that story would have happened.
I mean, that's pretty you know, it's pretty profound. It's
pretty cool because we have so many, so many stories
that that come and resonate from us as legends. And
you know the fact that he did. First of all,
(06:58):
he didn't even know that he would make the same
being Mr Irrelevant, you know, he's he made history. He's
the first Mr. Irrelevant to to be a Super Bowl winner. Um,
And I think that that's pretty pretty cool in itself.
But to go from not thinking you're going to make
the team to making the team, and not only making
the team, but then you end up playing, you end

up being a starter on on that group. So you
gotta make you gotta make sure that you know you're
taking full advantage of the opportunities that you have in
front of you. And Marty Moore was one of those
guys who did so. From Kentucky, Uh, played for the
University of Kentucky. Um, you know, just an all around
super awesome dude man and is doing he's a football coach.

Now he's a hit or not, maybe not a hit
football coach, but he is a high school coach. Excuse me,
um in in Kentucky now. So shots out to you,
Marty Um And that was a dope, dope, legendary moment,
fellas well. What well, what do you mean about it? For?
Was game my first game or preseason game whatever whatever,

the first preseason game. Say, the most memorable moment from
my rookie year preseason was when we played Tampa Bay.
And I don't think that was my first preseason game,
but it was the game I remember the most because
when I came out of the locker room, I saw
like one one of my favorite players growing up outside
(08:26):
of you know, my two favorite college linebackers were where
Derek Brooks and ray Lewis. They were my favorites. So
when I came out of the tunnel and Raymond James
and I was about to start warming up, I see
Derek Brooks on the field, and then I saw Warren
Sap and then I saw Simeon Rice and it just

it blew me away, and it blew me away so bad.
I like, maybe I hate to admit this, but I
don't know. I almost had like a panic attack. I
grew beat out so bad I fan boy so bad
that I couldn't breathe. My my legs got all crazy.

Like I'm like, I'm on the same field as these
dudes that I grew up watching and and now and
now I'm out here and I couldn't move, Like I
remember being on the kickoff team. I couldn't like I
felt like my legs weigh like, uh two hundred, three
hundred pounds each. I just couldn't move and I couldn't breathe. Um. Yeah,

And I think that was my one of my most
memorable moments because I remember telling myself, like, dude, you
can't be that dude. You know, you got a job
to do and and and that job is to come
out here and try to be the best defensive player
on this field, be the best best player that you
can be for your team, um and and produce. You
(09:54):
can't you can't let this happen again, you know. And
I just recall being on the sideline what by what
by at you guys? Oh? Man, my first I don't
even remember my first game. I wasn't expecting to play,
so I don't recall it at all. Man, My first
pieceason game was against the Dallas Cowboys, man in Texas Stadium,

the old Texas Stadium with the with the with the
holes in the roof, and you know, they had the
big crown on the field. And just seeing Ms smith
Man and Troy Aikman and all of those dudes and
and uh, you know Darren Woodson and you know Eric
Allen and Larry Eric, Eric Williams and Larry Allen. I
couldn't believe how big those dudes was. Man. I was like, yo,

I should have played basketball, man, these dudes are a huge.
And then I met Alans. I met a large man Jesus.
And when I looked at it close, the prehistoric man
as there as it gets, I was like, yo, I
thought Courtney Brown was big. It said different. That's a

different type of bad. Big alone is Like I said,
that's like and and listen, I mean this in in
the utmost respect. If you're out there listening, Alonso, please
don't don't come after me when I say this. But
I mean, bro, like when you talk about knuckles dragging

he tackled Jeff George we were playing them. He t
he sacked Jeff George and and when he tackled it,
he sacked him. He stood up, grabbed him by the
collar of his his jersey. Jeff Georgie is sitting on
his on his backside, and Alonso just started walking towards

had it was guns and shovels and knives. We're all
on the same team. Bro got pistols out trying to
shoot people. We're on the same team, and I'm trying
to stop everything and I'm on crutches. That's how bad

it was. And I ain't gonna say no names. And
people they listened to know exactly what I'm talking about.
In a way, they tore somebody, one of the players along.
They tore his basement to pieces fighting, and the loser
of the fight went to the car and got a
gun and came back and I had to stop him.

them cheose sides. There has to be one, some type
of punishment. You cannot do this, And I was getting

was it was a fine It was a fine execution
of a flawless victory. Uh, finish him with you. You
can't as an organization to go to State Warriors. You

have liked to have handled it internally. Once that video
comes out and you make Jordan's pool look the way
he's going to be looked at moving forward, he's gonna

is the most memorable thing that you're most proud of

make the team. You know, there's no way, you know,
you're gonna you're gonna, you know, go beyond of the
year if if you make it on the practice squad.
And so I just said, you know what, I'm just
gonna go out in here. I'm gonna work hard and
and I want to do what I've done my whole career.

And so We're playing Green Bay in the last preseason
game and Todd Collins gets hurt as a week side
linebackers Will and Bill Parcelfa looks at me and he goes,
you're gonna go to the will And I said, I
haven't played that all preseason. He goes, I don't care,
You're going in. So I went in and I had
like sixteen tackles in the last preseason game, and I'm

I'm just happy that I had a good game, and
I'm happy that, you know, I made the team. The

I went from being the last got draft and Mr Irrelevant.
Now I'm gonna start as a rookie in my in
the season opener, and you know, going to Miami looking
across that field looking at Dan Marino, guy that I
had idolized my entire childhood, and I'm playing against him
my rookie year and I'm starting for the New Land Patriots.

You know, that was like the most memorable moment all
the Super Bowls and the Great playoff wins and all that,
but that right there was this just kind of I
don't know, it was just it's a something I'll never forget,
you know, Um, being a rookie and having all those
(06:35):
things line up the way they did. I just never
want to dream that, uh, that story would have happened.
I mean, that's pretty you know, it's pretty profound. It's
pretty cool because we have so many, so many stories
that that come and resonate from us as legends. And
you know the fact that he did. First of all,
(06:58):
he didn't even know that he would make the same
being Mr Irrelevant, you know, he's he made history. He's
the first Mr. Irrelevant to to be a Super Bowl winner. Um,
And I think that that's pretty pretty cool in itself.
But to go from not thinking you're going to make
the team to making the team, and not only making
the team, but then you end up playing, you end

up being a starter on on that group. So you
gotta make you gotta make sure that you know you're
taking full advantage of the opportunities that you have in
front of you. And Marty Moore was one of those
guys who did so. From Kentucky, Uh, played for the
University of Kentucky. Um, you know, just an all around
super awesome dude man and is doing he's a football coach.

Now he's a hit or not, maybe not a hit
football coach, but he is a high school coach. Excuse me,
um in in Kentucky now. So shots out to you,
Marty Um And that was a dope, dope, legendary moment,
fellas well. What well, what do you mean about it? For?
Was game my first game or preseason game whatever whatever,

the first preseason game. Say, the most memorable moment from
my rookie year preseason was when we played Tampa Bay.
And I don't think that was my first preseason game,
but it was the game I remember the most because
when I came out of the locker room, I saw
like one one of my favorite players growing up outside

of you know, my two favorite college linebackers were where
Derek Brooks and ray Lewis. They were my favorites. So
when I came out of the tunnel and Raymond James
and I was about to start warming up, I see
Derek Brooks on the field, and then I saw Warren
Sap and then I saw Simeon Rice and it just

it blew me away, and it blew me away so bad.
I like, maybe I hate to admit this, but I
don't know. I almost had like a panic attack. I
grew beat out so bad I fan boy so bad
that I couldn't breathe. My my legs got all crazy.

Like I'm like, I'm on the same field as these
dudes that I grew up watching and and now and
now I'm out here and I couldn't move, Like I
remember being on the kickoff team. I couldn't like I
felt like my legs weigh like, uh two hundred, three
hundred pounds each. I just couldn't move and I couldn't breathe. Um. Yeah,

And I think that was my one of my most
memorable moments because I remember telling myself, like, dude, you
can't be that dude. You know, you got a job
to do and and and that job is to come
out here and try to be the best defensive player
on this field, be the best best player that you
can be for your team, um and and produce. You

can't you can't let this happen again, you know. And
I just recall being on the sideline what by what
by at you guys? Oh? Man, my first I don't
even remember my first game. I wasn't expecting to play,
so I don't recall it at all. Man, My first
pieceason game was against the Dallas Cowboys, man in Texas Stadium,

the old Texas Stadium with the with the with the
holes in the roof, and you know, they had the
big crown on the field. And just seeing Ms smith
Man and Troy Aikman and all of those dudes and
and uh, you know Darren Woodson and you know Eric
Allen and Larry Eric, Eric Williams and Larry Allen. I
couldn't believe how big those dudes was. Man. I was like, yo,

I should have played basketball, man, these dudes are a huge.
And then I met Alans. I met a large man Jesus.
And when I looked at it close, the prehistoric man
as there as it gets, I was like, yo, I
thought Courtney Brown was big. It said different. That's a

that's like and and listen, I mean this in in
