Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports. Yes, living the dream once
again here on a fabulous NFL Sunday. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio, Hartman and orm Burger broadcasting live
from the ti irac dot Com studios tirac dot com.
We're gonna help you get there. And I'm at selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection and over ten thousand

(00:24):
recommended installers ti iraq dot com the way tire buying
should be. We are getting ready to kick off nine
games right now in the NFL. Here is the rundown.
We got the Steelers at the Bills, Chargers at the Browns,
Bears at the Packers, Lions at the Patriots, Seahawks at
the Saints, Dolphins at the Jets, Falcons at the Buccaneers,
Titans at the Commanders, and Texans at the Jaguars. And

(00:48):
we got a game in the books. As the Giants
beat the Packers two in London. That means the Giants
are sitting at four and one right now, Brian Dable.
Then the job done is the rookie head coach of
the New York Football Giants. Uh And I'm not surprised,
rich I I said yesterday on the show with I

(01:08):
from I couldn't believe the line. I said, why are
the Giants eight and a half point dogs? And one thing.
The thing the Giants can do is run the ball,
and the Packers have not played well against the run,
and that was enough. Three rushing touchdowns for the Giants
gets the job done well. It's very different playing the
team close in the NFL and winning, because we see

(01:29):
a lot of teams play close football and lose a
lot of games. Hence the Detroit Lions under Dan Campbell.
That is a team that plays ferocious football, uh defense
not really their thing this year, but still lose every
game it seems like less than seven points. So yeah,
keeping it within eight, yeah, I get that. But the
Giants winning and improving their record to a four and

(01:51):
one record on the season is shocking. It is because
of what we've seen so far from Daniel Jones, what
we've seen so far from Sae Kwon Barkley. He's hasn't
been able to stay healthy, that haven't been able to
protect Daniel Jones. The receiving room is an absolute nightmare,
but they seem to find a way to win. And
and here's my take on Daniel Jones and I know

(02:13):
that New York fans will hate hearing this. He's a
much better quarterback than people believe he is. I really
do believe that. I think he is as good as
a Kirk Cousins, as good as you know. It's like
Dak Prescott light, you know, and and who knows what
that can turn into if he's better protected and they
surround him with some talent other than just Sae Kwon Barkley,

(02:34):
but Brian Dabole tip of the cap. He's getting this
team to believe in themselves and they're off to a
great start. Yeah. Healthy sat Kwon Barkley is currently leading
the NFL and rushing obviously making a huge difference for
that Giants offense, and the Giants are now four in
one after that victory against the Packers. One game we
are tuning into is Tom Brady and the Buccaneers double

(02:55):
digit favorites at home against the Atlanta Fuckon. Has been
a rough week for Tom Brady as it has become
public knowledge about his penning divorce from Jesus, and uh,
you know, yesterday talking to from He's like, look, we're
human that you don't think this is locker room conversation.
Of course it is. You know, one of your teammates
is going through a really tough time, and because it's

(03:17):
Tom Brady, it could not be more public. It's a
big story on the news section every single day on
what's the latest with the lawyers, and you know she's
not wearing a ring now. So Tom Brady is is
like the rest of us, folks. He just plays quarterback
a lot better than the most of us do. But
he's human and you've got to believe as much as

(03:38):
he is, you know, one of the most focused athletes
that we've ever seen in the history of any sport.
It's got to be weighing on him right now. Well,
of course, yes, he's human, but he is different from
the rest of us. This is his twenty second year
in the NFL. He is a superstar. He's world famous.
His wife is a superstar, she's world famous. There is

(03:59):
no parallel was to regular life that anybody in that
locker room, frankly, could understand what he's going through. Specifically,
even guys who have been through divorces and messy ones,
even ones that may have influenced and affected their standing
with the team or their workplace. It's it's just so
completely different and foreign to everybody. And I think we

(04:19):
have an early touchdown already. Gabe Davis Is he on
the board? Wow? Goodness gracious? So the Bill strike first
against the Pittsburgh Steelers six nothing in Buffalo. Yeah. I
was listening to the guys before we came on talking
about the Bills being a four team point favor and
you're like, wow, double digit favorites in the NFL. But
how about this. Over the last I don't know where

(04:41):
they say ten years or something like that, double digit
favorites have covered fifty seven percent of the time, so
it seemed like a big number. But the Bills are
up seven nothing on the Steelers early. If you have
Gabe Davis on your fantasy team, you're very happy camper
right now. That was a ninety eight yard pass from
Josh Allen fur the squad. How about that? Filling up

(05:01):
your fantasy box scores right there at the gates. Hello.
I will tell you this, if Mike Tomlin can pull
out a winning season for the Steelers this year, uh,
it'll be the biggest miracle of his coaching career. I mean,
they're gonna obviously be with Kenny Pickett. Now they're gonna
go with the rookie at quarterback, but that team is
limited and he's never had a losing season in his

(05:23):
entire coaching. Boom, boom, boom. Get the way to the
end zone on a second and one rush from the
Cleveland Browns who are hosting the Los Angeles Chargers, and
that is a touchdown. Browns. Wow, that was a long rush.
Where did that place start? Another? Yeah, Look, they were
out at the forty yard line going in and Nick

(05:43):
Chubb broke I don't know three tackles. When I looked
up from where I'm sitting one, two, three, four, he
broke four tackles five on his way to the end
zone for a forty yard rush for the Rounds. Why
are the Chargers favorite in this game? I mean I

(06:04):
was trying to figure this out there still without Keenan
Allen right now, they're making up all over the place.
They have no Joey Bosa. Uh you know, Khalil Max
actually had a pretty good season, but most of his
actually was before the Bosa injury. I couldn't. I was
looking at this line and I'm like, why are the
Chargers favorite on the road against the Browns, Well, aren't
they about the same team right now? You know, It's

(06:26):
it's interesting you say that. I just think I just
think the handicap they had to pick a line that
the public wouldn't wouldn't wouldn't spend too much on one
side or the other, right, I mean, and so they
had to make this in favor of the Chargers. But
I agree with you, I think these are way more
even teams. If this is a neutral site and I'm handicapping,

(06:47):
I'm being honest, Like if I'm saying, like, like, who
do I think is gonna win? I it's a pick them,
I really do. I look at them right now outside
of the quarterback position, like, the Browns are very even
at every single position on the football field when you
compare them roster to roster with the Chargers, especially with
all the injuries the Chargers have, even maybe they have
the slight edge. One of the tea games I'm looking

(07:08):
at today Lions on the road against the Patriots, And again,
the Patriots are big favorites in this game, and I'm like, why,
uh the Patriots. You know they've got a rookie Bailey
Zappy as their quarterback, right now. I watched him when
he was the quarterback in his championship game with the Hilltoppers.
He's dude, he has an electrical he and he threw

(07:28):
you broke all the records last year. But he is
a rookie. And the Lions, by the way, are leading
the league in scoring and they're one in three. Uh.
Jeried Goff is having a really good season. Their defense
is not and Dan Campbell, their coach, keeps losing close games.
All three of their losses have been by four points
or less. Uh. He's sitting now with a career record
of four sixteen and one. At some point he's got

(07:49):
to start winning some games. All right. Let's hear that
early Bill's score Stap, Josh handles it back the throw
pocket collapsing, fires a deep one down field for day.
David's the catch mid field. He's gonna sail into the
endfrone Gape Davis at the ten. Touchdown, Holy mackerel, ninety
eight yards touchdown, Gape Davis on third and ten at

(08:11):
the row two. That's the way to start, Holy Merrol.
All right. So that's w g R five fifty bills,
Radio Network seven nothing bills, and guess what they have
the ball again because the Steelers just fumbled the kickoff.
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeai. Not a good way to
open up on the road against a two touchdown favorite
smartty of a ninety eight yard touched down and then

(08:31):
fumbling the kickoffs. So the Steelers off to rough start.
Bills lead that one seven nothing again, the Browns are
in the end zone. Seven nothing early lead against the Chargers.
Yeah yeah, this is uh, this is exactly what you
would think this game would look like, Bills on Pittsburgh, because,
like you said, I think Mike Tomlin, I mean, this
may be the first ever in his NFL head coaching

(08:54):
career where he has a sub five hundred record, and
and these days with the seventeen games, you're either a
winning record or you're losing record. There's no five anymore.
And he's had a couple of those mixed in there
throughout a lot of dominance of the Pittsburgh Steelers during
his reign. But they're breaking in a brand new quarterback
and Kenny Pickt you throw three picks last week, um

(09:15):
Mitchell Robinsky just was not getting the job done. They
lost their best defender of the season, or excuse me,
in the first game of the season. And so life
is the struggle right now upfront defensively for the Pittsburgh
Steelers and at the most important position on the field
for the Pittsburgh Steelers. All Right, the Saints have gotten
on the board an early field goal against the Seahawks.

(09:36):
Three nothing, Saints nine thirty to go there in the
first quarter. By the way, Charlotte's Web is the world's
most trusted HEMP extract. Founded to serve wellness seekers looking
for safe, clean, and natural options. It's the number one
CBD brand on the market. Go to Charlotte's webb dot
com and used the promo code Sports five team for
fifteen percent off your order. That Charlotte's Web dot com

(09:59):
not available in Idaho or South Dakota. Let's hear that
Brown score second down and gives it to Chump runs
near side. Right, he's got the first town forty thirty five,
he's thirty in the middle town. Five he's gone touch
downe Dick chup. All right, Brown's radio network seven nothing.

(10:20):
Brown's the early lead on the Chargers right now where
they have a forty nine yard field goal attempt for
the Bills, and it's this is how the Steelers get
The Steelers don't do things pretty, but they do little
things like that. So Mike Tomin fired up. It could
have been a fourteen nothing lead. They avoid disaster by
the way. The Jets have gotten on the board with

(10:40):
a safety against the Dolphins, an early to nothing lead
in that game. All right, we're just getting started here.
We've got a very very busy Sunday for everything you
need to know what's going on around the NFL. Keep
it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio's
five OOX Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place

(11:03):
that you may admits and off Dalvin. He shakes the tacklement,
the two walks into the end zone, touch down Vikings.
It's Dalvin Cook and the Talvin domination is underway. Stick zero, Minnesota.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.

(11:26):
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That was Kay Fair
Innneapolis and the Vikings Radio Networks. Seven nothing, Vikings over
the Bears six minutes to go in the first quarter.
In that game, Seahawks have taken a seven to three
lead over the Saints six and a half minutes to
go in the first half. There we are often running

(11:49):
on this NFL a Sunday, We're here in the Fox
Sports Red Zone or radio studios, the tire Rack dot
Com studios and bringing you nine games going on right
now around the National Football League. Can I can I
tell you I'm drinking the kool aid because I'm drinking
the kool aid um. The Seattle Seahawks are on the
board now against the New Orleans Saints. They lead seven

(12:12):
three down there in Nolan's and Gino Smith is two
for two sixty six yards and a touchdown. Just found
DK metcalf on a long receiving touchdown fifty yards in
the score. I put them on my fantasy team as
my starting quarterback. I think Gino Smith has finally figured
it out. I don't know how, I don't know why.

(12:33):
I I guess it's being supported by a great run game.
Rashot Penny, one of the leading rushers in this league.
Right now, Seattle offensively looks as good as any team
in the league right now. Well how about this, I
mean you mentioned Gino Smith. He came into today's game
leading the NFL with an incredible seventies seven completion percentage.

(12:57):
So he is off and running, and so are the
Seahawks out earlier today it was the Giants with a
twenty seven to twenty to win over the Green Bay Packers,
and we have a very special guest. Yeah, let's welcome
on Graham Gono right now live from London. Very busy
day for you, Graham. How did it feel out there?

(13:19):
First and foremost as a place kicker, what's it like
going out to London? You know, the whole preparation for
the game, where you're warming up on cricket pitches before
you went to the stadium. How did it go? Uh?
I mean it was kind of like a normal away game, honestly. Um,
there's a bit more happening, you know, in pre game,
a lot of a lot more theatrics, but for the

(13:41):
most part, you know, just just like a normal road game.
That definitely seemed like we were playing in Green Bay
there there. Uh, their fans travel really well and they
had their p A announcers and everything. But uh, yeah,
good to come out of here with a win, yeah, Graham,
I tell you what. Obviously, there's been some rough years
for the Giants in recent years. You certainly have been
around this league a long time. And Brian Dabel comes

(14:01):
in as a new coach. The first thing I would
imagine with any new coaches you got to sort of
establish a new identity. Going for two in that opening
game and getting that victory, was that really, uh, sort
of a starting point in where you guys are sitting
right now at four and one. Yeah, for sure, I
think it was a statement win for us, you know, uh,

(14:22):
as a new team at the beginning of the year.
And and I think it just speaks to the character
of guys we have on the team, you know, and
there's time on the clock, you know, we're we're gonna
fight for the win, and and uh, we love that.
That's how he plays as well, so he trusts us.
And you know, we got a lot of guys a
great character that that show up every day and want
to get better. And it's definitely a fun team to
be a part of. Yeah, what's the biggest difference year

(14:44):
over year in terms of philosophy and attitude around the
locker room? Um, you know, I feel like, uh, we've
got we've got a lot of adversity, you know, over
the years with injuries and and different things that could change,
you know, the the landscape of the season. But you know,
We've got a lot of good, like I was saying,
great guys on the team, and I think it's from

(15:06):
the top down, you know, the ownership to the management.
Everybody cares about um, the players and and just getting better.
So we've got a lot of guys that are are
very selfless and and that just come to work and
want to help the team win. So I feel like
that's what it takes. You know, this is a the
ultimate team game, and we've got a lot of great guys,
um that are you know, just focused on getting better.

(15:26):
Just one other thing about playing in London. Yesterday the
commissioner over there was talking about not just a team
in London, but maybe a European division in the NFL.
How do you think that would fly with NFL players? Um,
I I have no idea. I just have to roll

(15:46):
with it if that's what what we do, you know.
I mean, I think we've shown that we can come
over here and play and and it's definitely feasible. So um,
you know, hopefully I'm a New York Giant for a
long time and wherever they send us to play, I'll
show up and play. So I think that definitely exciting
for the NFL and and for the world. You know,
there's fans all over the place and I think they
showed that today here at Tattenham. And uh yeah, it's

(16:07):
definitely fun to play overseas. Yeah, no doubt about it.
I think you'll be a Giant for a very long
time if you keep kicking the way you did today,
two for two, three for three on those extra points
in the forty eight yard long on the day, leading
your team to win over the Green Bay Packers. Hey, Graham,
we appreciate the time today. We'll do it again soon,
all right, sounds good. Stephen Rich appreciate it. All right?

(16:29):
There is Graham good, No, right there. And the that's
a huge win for the Giants and Brian Davill obviously
has brought a new attitude. And I go back to
the opening game, going for the win and pulling it out.
It says, hey, we're here to win. That's whether it's
a bottom line gave. It's about winning and losing. We've
talked about this over and over again. We're here to win.
And night now the Giants are sitting at top that

(16:51):
NFC East with a record of four and one. Let's
hear a Seahawks highlight shotgun snap, here comes the rush, Geno.
Last time stamp song got some running humping. Now he's
gonna laying it up on the top kind of chap.
He's out of the fifteen stop step, ten down, five
touchdown straight Hawkes Seahawks Radio Network. So Gino Smith as

(17:13):
you managed Rench two for two, sixty five yards and
the score. And again he's completing over seventy eight percent
of his passes this season. That is the top mark
in the entire National Football League. The Patriots got an
early field goal against the Lions. They lead now three
to nothing. Vikings over the Bears seven to three. The
Steelers have gotten a field goal back after giving up

(17:36):
that ninety eight yard touchdown of the Bills early. So
the Bills lead the Steelers by a score of seven
to three. Still no score. Falcons, Bucks, Titans, Commanders, Texans,
and Jaguars. Yeah, and and you know, look at the Vikings,
by the way, and this feels like it's gonna be
a cruising win to victory another FOURM one team. Uh

(17:57):
that switched head coaches. If they do at the job
done this morning, you know, same way Dable taken over
the new York John to have plenty of talent around
the roster and had a lot of injuries. You look
at the Vikings, same thing. Kevin O'Connell doing a nice
job to start off the season. In Minnesota, we have
an Amari Cooper touchdown for the Browns and they've increased
their lead over the Chargers thirteen nothing, penning the extra

(18:20):
point and the Browns are getting it done. Jacobe Prissette. Uh,
he is a perfect five for five for fifty three
yards in this game. So the Browns jumping all over
the Chargers early in this one. Yeah, and they're just
attacking these guys in every way they know they can
down in the red zone. I mean, what have the
Chargers been able to do against other teams? Has put

(18:41):
a great pass rush on with without Joey Bosa, that's
gonna be a real struggle. So they know that Prissette
has time, they set up the corner route. Awesome route
ram by Mark Cooper, by the way, underrated route runner
gets open and tiptoes his way to seven points for
the Browns. They lead fourteen nothing. In Cleveland. Yeah, this
Charger team another one of those teams that was spotlighted

(19:04):
as a team to watch in two devastated by injuries
early in the season. Keenan ALLEN'SMS four straight games. You
got a great quarterback, but he can't do it alone. Uh,
And right now they are on the short end of
this fourteen nothing game. Browns in control four minutes ago
in the first quarter. Guys, I have a quick update

(19:25):
on something here. Teddy Bridgewater is currently in the locker room.
He's being evaluated for an elbow injury and a head injury.
He's currently questionable to return. So Skyler Thompson, their seventh
round pick, is in at quarterback for the Dolphins. Yeah,
this is a game where right now, of course, to
a tongue of blow is out indefinitely. We have no
update on what his future right now is with the Dolphins,

(19:47):
all that controversy going on, but that is not where
Miami thought they were gonna be. They were sitting there
at three and oh had the big win against the Bills,
and now all of a sudden, he got Skyler Thompson
as your quarterback. Yeah. Look, the story goes like this. Um,
you know, if you, uh, if you were involved in
an active investigation by the league because of mishandling an

(20:09):
injury with a player, you're going to proceed with extreme
caution before allowing him back. And so look, steady veteran,
you know he is what he is. Type of guy.
Teddy Bridgewater comes into the fray and you're expecting him
to man the ship for you. Well, your starters out
and by the way, a starter who's played magnificent football
to start the season for the Miami Dolphins. And now

(20:30):
you're in a dogfight with your third string quarterback in
New York against the divisional rival. All right, let's get
caught up on everything that's going on right now around
the NFL. Let's find out what's Trendyn is in the house.
Uh I saw earlier today and she was minus a phone,
had to retrieve her phone. We were talking about is
there a more naked feeling in this day and age

(20:52):
than being without your phone? Can I be honest with you,
I sort of enjoy it real Yeah, Like at first,
do the same thing everybody else does. I panic, But
then I think like, okay, but you know what, I
hate the level of attachment I have to it anyway, totally, totally,
so I can't wait until I get it back. But
in the meantime, I'm just gonna try to enjoy the

(21:13):
piece and quiet. It's the best excuse to sort of tether.
So I need the phone for that's where I get
on my updates. Yeah, no, I had to turn around.
I text Brian Friendly and I was like, I have
to go get my phone, but I'll be right back.
And then I told I told the fellas here. When
I got here, it was like to make matters worse.
My exit was closed. The bull that it was closed.
I was like, why why all on the same day.

(21:36):
Why couldn't we split this up between days? Guys, we
calm day. Nothing to see. I didn't need coffee, that
was enough. I didn't need any coffee this morning. Oh guys.
The Bills didn't need coffee either, because on their opening
drive they scored right away on the Steelers. But the
Steelers have scored a field goal. So the score is
seven to three with about four and four minutes to

(21:58):
go in the first quarter. The brown are all over
the Chargers of fourteen zero. Also early not early four
minutes to go in the first quarter as well, the
Vikings bears going out that the Vikings are up seven three.
They're about to end the first quarter the Patriots. There
was a scary situation in New England. The Patriots are
up on the lines by a field goal uh six
minutes to go in the first quarter, but Lions cornerback

(22:19):
Saboon Smith he was hurt. It was a freak moment.
It looked like he hurt. Nobody hit him, He just
was running. It looked like something really bad happened to
his leg and he was transported like an ambulance game
transported to a local hospital. So a scary situation in
New England. UH. Seahawks are up on the st seven
to three with three minutes to go in the first quarter.

(22:40):
The Jets are up to zero on the Dolphins, and
Ryan gave you guys the heads up already that Terry
Bridgewater was taken down in the end zone. He has
an elbow injury and is being evaluated for a head injury.
He is questionable to return. So seventh round quarterback Skyler
Thompson is in as the Dolphins are down to zero
on the Jets six minutes to go in the first quarter.
Nobody on the scoreboard yet between the Skins and the Buccaneers.

(23:01):
Ninety seconds to go, in the first quarter of that game,
and the times are up on the Commanders seven zero,
four minutes to go in the first quarter. Nobody on
the scoreboard yet between the Texans and the Jaguars. Back
to you guys, all right, Monsty, thank you very much.

Let's hear the Brown's latest score. Shotgun snapper set back
to pass pockets good, He's looking the left corner of
the end zone. Touchdown Copper all right, Brown's Radio Network

(23:47):
fourteen nothing Brown's lead over the Chargers three minutes ago
on the first quarter. By the way, with your insanely
busy schedule these days, rich uh? Is the barbecue on
hold these days? Or what's happening? Man? I haven't touched
that thing since the fall began the football season and
is off and running and last night. To your point,
I didn't get back to the house until eleven thirty.
I was on the call for the San Diego State

(24:09):
Aztecs hosting the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at Snap Dragons Stadi
in in San Diego, and it was It was a
two point win for the Aztecs. Uh. It was the
last last second, literally a last second field goal. How
about this? Their current quarterback started the season as a
backup safety, was the third string safety. He played sixty

(24:31):
five plays defensively against Talito weeks ago. So it's been
an interesting year for the Aztecs. And I'm glad to
be taken in so much college football these days, because
it's been a blast alright. Titans with an early seven
nothing laid against the Commanders. Ryan Tannehill touchdown past the
don Trelle Hilliard. So the Titans with a seven nothing
lead on the road against the Commanders. The Buffalo Bills

(24:55):
have added a field goals, so they are now leading
the Steelers by a score of it's three. Kenny Pickett
now is the quarterback rich of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's
off to a decent start today, five for seven forty
four yards. Uh. It's gonna get up. They need a
little more help out of Nagy Harris four carry six yards.
If the Steelers don't have a running game, it's gonna
be a long year for the young rookie. Uh So,

(25:18):
we'll see how he fares. Let's hear Tennessee's score. They
fake a screen to him, throw back to Hilliard. He
cuts at the tand he jukes at the five. He
goes straight into the end zone. Touch that Titans. Al Right,
w g F X one or four point five Titans
Radio network again. They lead on the road right now. Alright, nothing,

(25:39):
We have a field goal attempt for the Chargers. Okay,
they're on the board for the first time today. Cleveland
leads fourteen three. They're in Cleveland. We have a goal
to ghost situation, third and goal for the Jacksonville Jaguars,
scoreless against the Houston Texans. We have a Vikings rushing touchdown,
Dalvin Cook punching it in. They lead the Bear is

(26:00):
now thirteen three in Minnesota. So a lot happening, guys. Yeah.
By the way, Austin Ekeler set up that he had
a seventy one yard run all the way down to
the Cleveland four yard line and in four plays they
had negative five yards from that point and ended up
settling for eight field goals. So Austin getting what yeah, yeah, alright,

(26:24):
I was just making sure Dalvin Cook did get in.
He scooted in in front of the pylone. And that
third and goal for Jacksonville, that was an incomplete pass.
Trevor Lawrence just throws it away as he's ranging to
his left side. So Riley Patterson on the field now
to attempt the twenty six yard field goal for Jacksonville.
If he makes, they go up three nothing on Houston,

(26:45):
and it is pure Yeah. Last week, you know, the
Jacks came into that game against the Eagles rolling two
blue out victories. They had a fourteen that they lead,
and they just stopped offensively. At that point the Eagles
took over. Don't I don't. I'm mean, look, that's football, man,
You just have no idea. It's the tail of two halves.
Sometimes it's the tail of two quarters. Also, interesting game

(27:07):
going on right now. Billy Zappy, the third string quarterback
in New England, is leading the next drive for the
New England Patriots out of their side of the field.
They lead three nothing hosting the Detroit Lions. Bailly Zappy. Yeah,
he threw a broke the all time record of Joe
Burrows sixty touchdowns. I think he had sixty two sixty
three touchdowns last year and his one year at Western

(27:29):
Kentucky after playing at Houston Baptist. By the way, speaking
of red hot quarterbacks, the Vikings are up fourteen the
three over the Bears right now, second quarter just underway.
Kirk Cousins thirteen of thirteen hundred twenty five yards fourteen
of thirteen for a hundred and twenty five yards. By
the way, already, justin Jefferson first quarter seven catches ninety

(27:52):
one yards. Romandre Stevenson on a handoff deep Impatriots territory
just rocked off a five d plus yard rush for
the Patriots. So they're now at the Detroit lines thirty
yard line and fighting on a first down rush for
a no game. But yeah, they're gonna be leaning on
their run game through the early goings of Zappi's entry

(28:16):
into the NFL. You know, this very interesting game because,
as we mentioned, the Lions actually came into this game
is the leading scoring team in the NFL. They've been
putting up huge numbers offensively led by Jared Goff. Their
defense has been atrocious. But as much as everyone seems
to like Dan Campbell four sixteen and one and all

(28:37):
three of their losses this year are bright, four points
are less. You gotta learn how to close out games.
And when you're consistently losing close games, you start staring
at the sidelines. All right, we have um a fumble.
New Orleans Saints just fumbled the kickoff return after the
Seattle Seahawks successfully converted at the goals. Saints able to

(29:01):
fall on the ball though. Okay, so that almost got
really really hairy for the Saints, who are trailing the
Seahawks by seven at home, because that would have been
Seahawks ball deep in their territory. But they survive and
they get the first intent from their own thirty one
yard line. But to your point, Yeah, I mean, Dan Campbell,
I love you, I really do. I loved hard Knocks.

(29:23):
I've I really thought it was a smart hire. He's
a passionate guy. He's got to start winning football games
in Detroit. Yeah, and this is a prime opportunity against
a Patriots team with their third string quarterback that that
guy in the sideline, belichake, he's got his own worries
right now. He needs to get a win as well.
All right, let's hear the Vikings Ladies score and off
Dalvins around the right side. What Devin domination in the

(29:52):
Vikings have taken up farteen pre lead KAFAM Minneapolis and
the Vikings radio network. So the Vikings came into this
game three of one, two and oh at home, should
have an easy time against the Bears. Nothing, he's easy
in the NFL. But if they do get a victory
with the Packers losing today, that would put the Vikings
in first place in the NFC North. The Dalvin domination

(30:15):
dishing into the ends of Look, I love those calls.
Kevin O'Connell making a difference with the Vikings. I I
think Kevin O'Connell is one of the brightest offensive minds
in the league. UH. He was a former teammate of
mine in New England for a season before he UH
he was released and spent some time with the Jets
and then bounced around the league, found himself in the

(30:37):
coaching world and has really shined. Smart guy, really really talented.
UH coordinator with Jared goff on a Super Bowl team
for the Los Angeles Ramps before accepting this position over
in Minnesota. And it's really worked out for them because
whatever was the hold up with Zimmer, who was a
very good coach in his own right. Offensively, they seem

(30:59):
untethered and they're really starting to come into their own alright.
Jets have added a field goal five nothing lead over
the Dolphins, and Miami is hurting. Uh. They lose Teddy Bridgewater.
They got Skyler Thompson their third string quarterback. Right now,
they have ten total yards of offense. They have one
past completion, a tireet kill for six yards. So unless

(31:20):
Skylar Thompson suddenly lights up, it could be a long
day for the Dolphins, who you know, you start the
season with such promise. In two A Dungua vol is
looking so good, but we simply do not have any
idea right now. Deep pass broken up by the Falcons.
We still have no score in this game between the
Buccaneers and the Falcons. Buccaneers came in as a solid

(31:44):
ten point favor and we've been talking about the week
that has been for Tom Brady. Right now, He's ten
of sixteen passing eighty four yards but no scores. The
one thing they need is a rushing offense. Last week
they had three yard rushing as a team, three and
they were leaning on Brady in that game that they

(32:05):
lost to the Chiefs through fifty two passes. I mean,
he threw the ball well, but you can't have three
yards rushing as a team and hope to win games.
It's unacceptable in the NFL. You just can't do it,
not unless the I don't even know what weather conditions
exist where it precludes you for running the football. I mean,

(32:25):
I guess in a in a game where the Patriots
dominated the Bills late in the season, you remember the
weather was so foul in Buffalo they decided to run
the ball all but four times the entire day. Okay,
I get it right, Because you have conditions that that
forbid you from throwing the football, especially if you're nervous
about your quarterback as a rookie quarterback. But there's no

(32:47):
excuse for that. You have to be able to generate
more yardage than three from scrimmage in your run game.
He's forty six years old. Yeah, I'm sorry, he's year sold.
For the love of mercy, give this by the second. Alright,
coming up on the other side, we're gonna a little

(33:07):
preview of this Cowboys Rams game. RAMS on a short week,
and by the way, they're gonna go with a sidling
count at home because they expect so far stadium to
be overrun by Cowboy fans. Kevin Burkhardt will be on
the action. He will join us coming up next. All right,
this is Jay Glazer. And you may know me for
the world of football, or fighting or even shows like

(33:30):
HBO's Ballers. Well you don't know is for my entire life.
I have lived in something I referred to as the
Gray depression anxiety. So now I'm coming out with a
new podcast, Unbreakable, a mental health podcast with Jay Glazer,
where each week when we talk about mental health, I
hope to describe it, give it words. Listen to Unbreakable

This is Fox Sports or its own Radio live from
the ti iraq dot com studios. Now it's time for
the NFL Fox Focus. All right, we'll come out later

(34:14):
this afternoon. The Rams will be hosting the Cowboys and
join us right now. He will be on the call
for Fox. Kevin Burkhardt is joining us. Kevin, we really
appreciate your time. I was doing my l A TV
stuff this week. We had a big report about Sean
McVeigh getting his team ready for this game working on
a silent count. You're the defending Super Bowl champions and

(34:37):
you're expecting the stadium to be overrun by Cowboys fans.
Where you have to work on a silent count. That's
got to be a little disheartening for a team coming
off a super Bowl championship. Well, it's not new. I mean,
you know what happened last year A bunch it happened
in the NFC Championship game against San Francisco. I mean, look,
this is It's a city of diversity and transplants, right,

(34:58):
so you have, you know, fan bases from all over.
So the only thing I can tell you is is
that is it ideal? No? But are they used to it? Yeah?
They know what, they've done it before, they're fully expecting it.
So it's not the greatest home field advantage in the world.
But you know what, they get to sleep in their
own beds and they've done it before, so um, I
don't think it's gonna be a huge adjustment. I think

(35:19):
they've done it and and been down that road before.
There are two Coopers on either side of the docket
for this one, and both doing extraordinary things we're used
to seeing. One that's Cooper Cup, the other is Cooper Rush.
How did the Cowboys feel about their backup quarterback and
the success he's had while Doc's been recovering from injury. No,
they feel pretty good because you know, it's not look,

(35:41):
they've one that's the most important thing. I mean there's
three you know, since he started playing. But you know,
the other factor is that he's clutched. You know, he's
multiple times, you know, taking on drives after the other
team scores and taking the Cowboys down the field and
answers that score in the fourth quarter. He's been absolutely terrific.
And since he started playing three weeks ago, he's got
the ninth best quarterback rating in the league. So for

(36:02):
a backup quarterback three and oh, and you've got all
those numbers, and you get clutch numbers and you're making
the plays. And by the way, he hasn't made any mistake.
He just turned the ball over. He's been as close
to perfect as you can be. Now that being said,
the Cowboys offense hasn't been perfect as a whole. They
they've been bad on third down, They've gotten in a
lot of third and long. So there's a lot they'd
like to do better today. But I just don't think

(36:24):
you could ask for anything more. I mean the fact,
you know, people were thinking the season was over and
now I'll say, well, wait a second, the three and
one and chance to go, you know, four and one.
So um, they're extremely happy. And I think the reason
the other part of this equation, guys, is it's allowed
them to let Dak hell instead of rushing back with
a swollen thumb and turning into a year long thing.

(36:44):
It's allowed them to take time and have patience with
Dak and say, let's get you right for you bring
them back into the lineup. Yeah. Speaking of healing, Kevin,
the Rams offense needs some healing. It's been disappointing the
season and Matthew Stafford has four touchdown passes and six
interceptions and a lot of people insist that he just
isn't physically right. What's the buzz right now on the

(37:05):
Rams QB. Yeah, I don't think that's the case. I
you know, I know all the stuff that went on
with his elbow and his you know with but he
dealt with it last year too. Um. And I think
the real issue with the Rams are a couple of things.
You know, they're not getting explosive place So why is that. Well,
the offensive line is on their fifth combination in five weeks,

(37:25):
so that's pretty hard to do and block when you're
when you have no consistency there whatsoever. They've been so
banged up. And then the other part of that is,
you know they're they're missing some of their guys. Obviously
Odell Beckham Jr. Got hurt in the Super Bowl. Then Jefferson,
who's really their deep threat, has been out the entire year,
So couldbine not being able to block long enough with
losing key speed and that's really the big reasons. So

(37:47):
they have to find a way to get those explosive plays.
If it's not going to be bombs away deep down
the field like we saw so many times last year,
they got to find other ways to do it. That's
the difference right now. And I look, I'm sure is
his arm is bugging him. But I don't think that
has any reason to do with their offense not performing
the way that it did last year. During your meetings
with the Cowboys, any indication when Doc will be back

(38:10):
coming back from this fractured thumb, No, you know, and
and and and look, I think the idea was initially
hoping to get him back from Philadelphia next week. But
you know the reality is they're you know, they're still
swelling in that thumb, and he's still not throwing the
football with regularity, and until he does that, he can't
play in a game. So, um, I think even if

(38:32):
they lose today, like, would you like to have him
back for next week, Yes, but I if you can't
grip the ball, he can't come back. They're hoping it's
next week. They stayed on track with that and he
has made progress, but until he's actually ripping it in practice, um,
you know, Mike McCarthy told us he wants to see
him practice for a full week. Would regular practice, come back,
throw it, go through it for a full week because
he's been out for a long time. So if you

(38:54):
don't see him practicing on Wednesday next week, I don't
know that he's playing on Sunday. Well, I'll tell you
what a big game for the Rams coming at that
loss of the forty niners and of course the Cowboys
trying to keep pace with the Eagles and that NFC East. Kevin,
we really appreciate the time. We'll talk to you down
the road. All right, Thanks so much, guys, talk to
you soon. That's Kevin Burkhardt. Join us right there. Of course,

(39:16):
he'll be on the call for that Rams Cowboys game.
You know, I agree with him when he talked about
some of the deficiencies and missing bodies and that Rams offense.
But I'm talking eyeball test I. I know Matthew Staffcina
for a long time. He can throw the ball as
well as anyone in this league, and something's not right
with him right now. Uh yeah, I agree. You know,

(39:37):
when you look at the Rams, despite their record, there's
some problems. And when you have an offensive line that's
out of sorts, that is a cornerstone of the house.
And if you don't have a strong foundation, the house
is gonna come down eventually. So we'll see what transpires
in l A, especially against these Cowboys. We have a
score update three lead for the Minnesota Vice Ragor just

(39:58):
racked off another Kirk Cousins touchdown pass. Who's seventeen of
seventeen one seventies six through the air, and he's throwing
that touchdown pass now, Yeah, and with seven minutes ago,
and they have justin Jefferson has eight catches for a
hundred and twenty two yards. You fantasy players out there,
you got Cousins, you got Jefferson. You're feeling pretty good
right now. All right, we got nine games going on

(40:21):
around the NFL. We've already had a Giants upset of
the Packers in London. Keep it right here. A lot
more coming up. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

that zone. Touchdown touchdown Washington. That is big one hundred
Commanders Radio Network. There's seventy five yard touchdown. Carson Wentz
to Diami round and the Commanders have a ten seven
lead over the Titans. Meanwhile, the Saints are back in

(41:07):
their game in motion. Nope, taste some more running up
the middle two free and that there's gonna be a
Saints touchdown. To taste some touchdown w w L Saints
Radio Network. There, taste him Hill doing what he does.
They just snapped the ball Tom he runs him for
a touchdown. Everybody in the building knows. Would taste some

(41:28):
Hill's gonna do when he has a football down near
the goal line and nobody ever seems to be able
to stop him. It reminds me of the old Tim
Tebow days early on in Florida. But yeah, ten ten

In the NFL, it'd start off with that set win
for the Giants in London against the Packers. Suddenly the
Giants sitting at four and one in an NFC East that, Wow,
you got an undefeated Eagles team, a four and one

(42:11):
Giants team at three and one Cowboys team right now. Uh,
the commanders bringing up the rear. But nobody could have
predicted that the NFC East, at least out of the
shoot would be the hottest division of football. You're it's
blowing my mind. But Jalen Hurts continues to impress that
Eagles defense has been doing yeoman's work. And then how

(42:32):
about the New York Giants. I mean, it's just been
the magic that we saw for years now with Brian
Dable and Josh Allen is finding its way into the
offensive backfield with the New York Giants and Sae Kwon
Barkley finally healthy, running like a man possessed, leading the
league in rushing. Everything they're doing is working right now.
Whatever you do, don't change it. Actually, we caught up

(42:54):
with Graham Gono, their place kicker, earlier in the show today,
and he said, culturally everything shifted. He's got these guys
believing that winning is everything again. And I think for
years in New York they lost sight of that. You know,
whatever it is excuse making no, no, no, no, we
don't care about the excuses. We're here to do a job.
It's the bottom line business. We're here to win. They
beat the Packers in London this morning. All right, now,

(43:16):
if you want to hear some bizarre stats, uh, coming
out of that Bills Steelers game, how about this. The
Bills are leading at seventeen to three. Josh Allen is
eight of fifteen for two hundred and sixty one yards.
Gabe Davis two catches for a hundred sixty yards. He
has a ninety eight yard touched Dad. And then we

(43:37):
had this snapped to Josh, looks down field, gonna throw
it sets up deep throwing deep looks down field for
Dave Davis again. He made one of the catch goes
into the end of touchdown. Buffball did it again, sixty
two yards. Gave Davis made a spectacular one ended catch
w g R five fifty the Bills Radio network. So

(43:59):
right now the Bills are averaging thirty two point six
yards per completion. It's not just Gave Davis. Shakira has
one catch for thirty one yards. Hotchkins one catch over
twenty six yards. Morris went catch for twenty six yards.
It's bombs away against that Steelers defense. And the Bills
lead at seventeen. So again, how many catches for gave

(44:22):
Davis two for one six and how many touchdowns too? Okay, yes,
he here's the problem. He's on. Neither are any of
my three fantasy teams, and I know somebody has them
on their roster I'm playing against. So I'm just not
gonna open those apps until the show's over. I don't
want to ruin my morning. But this is this is
life in the NFL right now. Anybody can go off.

(44:42):
I mean, for crying out loud. Geno Smith looks like
Joe Montana. It's unbelievable what we're seeing out of the
passing offenses around the league, and it's finally starting to gel.
These offenses always take a little bit longer than the defenses,
but here we are. It's Week five. The offenses is
starting to produce and we're seeing great results. All right,
some great coaching going on around the NFL, but so far,

(45:04):
to me, the coach of the day, Bill Belichick. So
he's going against a Lions team that leaves the league
in scoring. We got five minutes to go in the
first half. Patriots have a couple of field goals of
the rookie Bailey Zappia quarterback, but the Lions have no points.
It's six nothing Patriots five minutes go in the first half.
Jared Goff, who has had a great season so far,

(45:27):
just four or seven passing forty seven yards. So you're
down to your third string quarterback who's a rookie. You
know you're not gonna put a lot of points on
the board. And I thought, again, this is a prime
spot for the Lions. The Patriots are not gonna be
able to keep pace with you if you can generate
the same offense we've seen all season long, and the

(45:47):
Patriots that completely shut them down. Yeah. Look, I don't
want to speak too soon, but death taxes in the
Patriots finding a way to snuff the Detroit Lions over
Bill Belichick's reign in New England are pretty much guarant
teas has has a Bill Belichick Patriots team ever lost
to the Detroit Lions. I know they don't play him
very often, but but but let's look through that. It's

(46:10):
it's look, here's the deal. Jared Goff has been going
off again. We're talking about offenses around the league, and
as a matter of fact, the Detroit Lions in the
Seattle Seahawks recently had that shootout, So you know, both
those offenses really finding way to hum early this season.
But yeah, look, Bill Belichick, if there's one thing you
can count on is him coming up the best possible
game day defensive scheme to help his team win. And

(46:32):
for years now they've really had to rely on their
defense because the cupboards have been bear offensively in terms
of skill position players, and now with the revolving door
at quarterback over the past three seasons, it's it's just
been tough sledding at that position. Mac Jones was consistent
last year, but they were protecting him with a lot
of the play calling. Uh. And this year, obviously Matt

(46:55):
got knocked out early. It's been Brian Horrier and now
onto Billy's Appy Browns and Chars Browns jumped off to
an early fourteen nothing lead in this game, but the
Chargers have come back. Uh. Here was their latest score
to Kelly Bouns. Is it outside Josh Kelly touchdown? Chargers?
K y S are that seven the Chargers radio network.

(47:18):
So the Chargers cut the lead of fourteen ten and
by the way, the Chargers now have a first and
goal at the Cleveland ten yard line. So the Chargers
after being down fourteen nothing on the Browns looking to
take the lead. Um the New England Patriots just got
into the end zone. So we have a score update
there in just a minute. Scott Kyle Dugger touchdown. I

(47:39):
believe that Jared Goff was intercepted on the play and
Taysom Hill has just rushed in or excuse me, uh
ran it in for a second rushing touchdown on the
day for the New Orleans Saints. Same play, by the way, well,
the first all was eight yards. This was nine yards.
Different play, low red zone play call where Taysom comes
in a orderback, different play design. But everybody again in

(48:04):
this building knows exactly what's coming and nobody can do
anything about it. So Taysom Hill for a second rushing
touchdown of the day, and New England takes a twelve
nothing lead off of an interception return for a touchdown
against the Detroit Lions in New England. Yeah, Jared Goff
suddenly has converted back to his old witte there you go,

(48:25):
all right, So no score for the one and again,
I I hate to harp on Dan Campbell, but at
some point they gotta start winning some games here. Otherwise
he is going to be in deep trouble there. And
we now have a touchdown for the Chargers. Justin Herbert
has just thrown a touchdown past if Austin Ekeler. Eckler

(48:47):
scoring again. By the way, Eckler had a seventy one
yard non touchdown run earlier in this game for the Chargers.
Extra point is good. So after the Browns got off
to the early fourteen nothing lead, the Chargers are now
leading the brown seventeen to fourteen. They must have heard
me when I said, how could the Chargers we favored
on the road against the Browns anytime I do oh

(49:10):
way to say we have another Bill score? Yeah, we
do um again Stefon Diggs, this time another passing touchdown
for Josh Allen. You know, it's just routine at this
point for the Buffalo Bill. Two seventy six yards passing
in the first half and he's only completed nine passes.
That's thirty point seven yards per completion. And the Bills

(49:30):
annihilating the Steelers right now twenty four to three. And
get this, we still have seven half minutes ago in
the first half. No big deal. Yeah, So if you
have the Buffalo Bills in your survivor pool today, you're
you're you're gonna win that one you advanced the next week. Yeah,
they they were fourteen and a half point favorites, and
our early show talking about that big of a favorite

(49:52):
in the NFL seems like an eye opener. But what
we're watching right now that it looks like it would
be a low number. Meanwhile, least it is an absolute
war in Tampa Bay for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking
on the Falcons. They have the ball back right now.
But it has been just I mean, it's been it's

(50:13):
been a war of attrition. And we have a Leonard
four net one yard rushing score from Sam right now,
his way off right card. There you go, touchdown Tampa Bay,
far the carriage. Yeah, Buccaneers Radio Network, Tom Brady in
this game is twenty one twenty nine for two nineteen yards.
Marcus Mariota is four of eleven for thirty two yards.

(50:35):
It's just been plotting and punting, you know, five play drive,
punt d turnover on downs, twelve play drive. They score
the one yard rush you just heard, and now another
long drive for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. No offense from
the Alloanta Falcons to speak of. But they're just, I
mean a slow go. It's not explosive. They're dealing with

(50:57):
so many injuries offensively on the buccaneer side, offensive line
and receivers banged up, and Tom Brady it just hasn't
been quite as magical a season as we're used to
seeing from number twelve. But he's throwing the ball a ton,
and we talked about this last week against Cancer. They
didn't run the ball at all. They just have Brady
throw fifty two passes. Guess what, he has twenty nine
attempts in the first half already, So apparently they're saying,

(51:20):
forty five years or not, we're just gonna throw the ball.
And Tom Brady already twenty one of twenty nine in
the first half. That's a lot of passing. Seven nothing bucks.
By the way, I haven't won a home game this year,
oh and two at home too, and oh on the road.
But right now, with a seven nothing lead against the
Falcons in this game, he's found seven different receivers on

(51:42):
the day and he's averaging only four yards per completion.
So you know what they're doing. They're saying, Hey, look,
we're just going to kill this team with paper cuts.
We're going to throw short routes to the sidelines over
the middle, and we're gonna get what we can. And
we're gonna supplant which has been an anemic run game
with a short passing game, and so far it's been effective,
but like I said, very plotting and frustrating. They may

(52:05):
go into the half only leading seven nothing over the Falcons.
All right. We may have thought it can't get much
uglier than that Denver Indianapolis game we had on Thursday night,
which was an old timer with no scoring to touchdowns.
We have one that's rivaling. At two minute warning right now,
first half Texans lead the Jaguar six to three, three
field goals in that game. So once again they're sending

(52:26):
the clock back on that one. All right, we're continuing
on here. We're heading toward halftime. Nine games around the NFL.

The Seahawks did get a field goal back. So Saints
are leading the Seahawks seventeen thirteen, minute forty two to
go in the first half. There we have a update
in this Washington Commanders Tennessee Titans game. The Commander's lead

out only a minute left in the half there. But yeah,
I mean Tennessee odd season for them so far. I
just haven't been able to get the run game going.
Haven't really done anything defensively to write home about there.
They're still one of the tougher defenses in the league,

(54:41):
but it just hasn't resulted in enough. W's yet to
to get excited about them in the NFC South. Gotta
have some offense in their offense is not working right now.
Offense is working for the Browns. They have regained the
lead over the Chargers seventeen. Here is that latest score.
Here's per Sect first out of goal. They give it
the job right side the banks and banks and crag.

(55:03):
It's scores touchdown hit second of a day. Nick Chub
Rounds Radio Network. Nick Chub has nine carries for ninety
five yards. That's ten point six yards carrying two scores.
In fact, in this game, Cleveland is averaging eight point
nine yards a rush. And how about what's happening in
New York right now? Nineteen seven lead for the Jets

(55:25):
over the Dolphins again. The Dolphins onto their third string
quarterback in the game, Skyler Thompson in for the injured
at teddy Bridge Water Course to and not in this game,
uh and Thompson is six of ten for twenty seven
yards and a pick. Yeah. So for a lot of
second quarter scoring in this one, most recently Zack Wilson

(55:46):
five yard rush. And here it is Zach Wilson third
and goal with the Dolphin five. Let's res all sees right,
takes the snap, stops back to Throp. What's up of
the middle? Tompson, Tuckers runs to this life shots to
the end. Zoe just the fuck golf, but he prop
the plays down. Jets Radio Network, So Jets leading nineteen
is seven. The big play in this game was a

(56:08):
non scoring pass Zack Wilson a breeze Hall, your guy,
Breece Hall Iowa State seventy nine yards on a non
scoring play. Outside of that, we haven't seen a whole
lot of offense from either one of these teams. All right,
second and goal situation for the Tennessee Titans in Washington,
and oh my goodness, Derrick Henry in the past game

(56:29):
on an out route stretches for the n zone and
is taken down at the one yard line. So third
and goal from the one yard line for the Titans.
Looks like the Jaguars are lining up to kick a
forty plus yard field goal attempt in their game in Houston.
And it is good that game is tied six six.
We got the Patriots down in the red zone, and

(56:50):
is it the Bears? Are they finally down in the
red zone against the Oh yeah, let's hear the Bears
most recent score, third and eight at the ninth. They
can get up Burst down. They don't need a touchdown.
They had up Montgomery Blast. They got the middle, Montgomery
splitting into the end zone for the touchdown. Touchdown. Bears
all right. W BBM News Radio seven eight a m.

(57:10):
And one oh five point nine f M the Bears
radio network. So we're at the half. Their Vikings leading
the Bears by score a one and ten. Kirk Cousins
big first half twenty two seventeen yards and a score
justin Jefferson ten catches a hundred and thirty eight yards.
The Bears only have ninety five total yards of offense

(57:31):
and they are trailing the Vikings by score of ten.
By the way, an update on the Bills and Steelers
two minute warning. Bills leading and Steelers three Josh Allen
three hundred and twenty four yards passing and three touchdowns
in the first half. Here was their latest score. Threatening
again Josh and Shotgun takes the snap, fakes the handout,

(57:53):
fires two dicks, fakes the catch in the end zone. Touchdown, Buffalo,
just like that w g R five fifty Radio Network.
Big story in that game. Gabe Davis ninety eight yard touchdown,
sixtytr touchdown. That would be two catches a hundred sixty
yards and to score. This series has been all Derrick
Henry for the Titans, and he just scored on a

(58:13):
one yard rush, third and goal situation there. So now
the Titans take the lead thirteen ten in Washington over
the Commanders, looking attack on the extra point. They're also
New England just hit a field goal from forty four
four yards out. They are now leading sixteen nothing. Hosting
the Detroit Lions. Do not leave out this battle between

(58:35):
the Texans and the Jaguars. Rich Texans have tied it
up six six. There it is four field goals in
this game. By the way, we never he was actually
the Jaguars who tied it up. We're leading by six.
Jacks hit a three pointer there and track of the
field goals. Yeah, yeah, we go to halftime. Now after

(58:55):
after that Jacksonville, was there anything elger in that Thursday
night game? Could we talk about for a second. Yeah,
what do you got, Sammy? Well, last night Iowa lost
to Illinois nine to six all field goals by was
one of the biggest embarrassments for the NFL. Ever on
that Thursday night game, I'll tell you, Russell Wilson doesn't
look right. Nathaniel hacken hack it can't hack it. It's

(59:19):
just been absolutely brutal to watch the Denver Broncos. Their
roster has been um Their roster has been underperforming in
every single possible way you possibly could. Defensively, they're not
as good as advertised offensively. He's just not seeing the field,
Russell Wilson's just not seeing the field. You saw that
that Hammler wide open look on the the the slant

(59:44):
pass to the end zone on the third down play.
It was just brutal. It was just brutal. So yeah,
that was that was a nauseating loss for the Broncos
and Broncos fans. I don't know how they've mustered two
victories so far this season, but I guess it's any
I guess they could still make something of this season
if they get the ship right. It wasn't just the

(01:00:05):
fact that Russell Wilson didn't have any zip on the
ball and was making passes. It's decision making, like what
are you doing? They were leading late in that game.
He through that pick in the end zone. It was like,
what is going on? All right? We're at halftime right now?
The Patriots leading the Lions sixteen to nothing. Bailey Zappy
has been efficient eight of ten hundred one yards. He

(01:00:26):
did have an interception the game. But the big story
here is a Lions offense that came into the game
is the highest scoring team in the league. They have
zero right now. A big part of that is Jered
Goff four of eight forty seven yards and a pick
that's a twenty eight point six quarterback radio. The running
game isn't there either, So somehow, some way again, Bill

(01:00:47):
Belichick came up with a defensive game plan to slow
down a very hot offense. Let's get back to the highlights.
Pikes no go tight in either side, Westbrook. A key
sees them give it to Henry, who goes pounding behind
killing ratings into the end zone. Touch down Titans there.
It is a w g F X one or four

(01:01:08):
point five the Titans Radio networks. As you mentioned, the
Titan's not doing a whole lot offensively, but it helps
when you have Derrick Henry eighteen carries eighty three yards
and that score. In the first half. Ryan Tannehill has
thrown for just ninety four yards. He's also been sacked
three times, so they only have sixty seven net yards passing.

(01:01:30):
Carson Wentz in this game pretty good number six of
eleven hundred fifty one yards and a touchdown. But how
about this staff for Washington seven carries twelve yards. Yeah, Yeah,
it's just been it's just been absolutely dominance defensively up
front for the Titans. Um Buffalo's back on the board
another touchdown hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. The number on that

(01:01:54):
game is at thirty for the Bills, three for the
Pittsburgh Steelers looking attack on an extra point there. Yeah,
that's four touchdowns and yards passing in the first half
for Josh Allen. For much more, let's find out what's
trending right now as Mudsey is back spinning right now?
What's going on spinning for the fact that I'm playing
somebody who has Gabe Davis. So that's why my head

(01:02:17):
is spinning. I know. I heard you say you're not
gonna open your apps. Don't do it. Just don't do
it doing it because it just makes you sad. I
have good news for you. This last Buffalo receiving touchdown
was Khalil said, because that's where I'm stressed. But luckily
you just mentioned that the Titans they have Derrick Henry.
I have Derrick Henry, so he just rushed for a touchdown.

(01:02:39):
And at halftime, the Titans are up on the Commander's
fourteen to ten. Texas and Jaguars are tied at halftime,
just field goals six apiece. We also have the book,
and you're shutting off the Falcons. At halftime thirteen zero,
the Jets are all over the Dolphins to seven. They're
about to go into halftime. Terry Bridgewater has been ruled
out for the rest of the game. He actually passed

(01:03:00):
all the concussion protocols, but because of the new protocols
that have been implemented, he is out, so we'll see
what happens from this point on. He will have to
pass other tests in order to be back for next
week or the following week. But he technically passed the
initial concussion test, but because of the new protocols, he
has been rolled out for the rest of the game

(01:03:20):
for the Dolphins. The Seahawks are trying. Yeah, maybe the
chaither in. They just got on a long past from
Smith perfect, so they just are up now on the Saints.
They actually forced to fumble a couple of minutes, first
missed extra point of the day, so ex so exciting,

(01:03:42):
first miss, first extra point that was missed. That's right,
but the Seahawks are still up as they're about to
go into halftime thanks to a forced fumble on camera.
The Seahawks recovered and they were able to score right
before halftime, so they're of nineteen to seven. Patriots shutting
out the line, still sixteen to zero at halftime. We've
got the Vikings all over, the Bears still twenty one
to ten, also halftime, and the Chargers and Browns. It's

(01:04:03):
been fun. It's been back and forth, back and forth,
back and forth. The Browns are up twenty one to seventeen.
They're about to enter halftime, and I don't know what
Josh Allen gave Davis and the Buffalo Bills had for
breakfast this morning, but they are just crazy all over
the Steelers. One minute ago into halftime and the Bills
are up thirty one to three on The Steelers gave

(01:04:25):
Davis two receptions one too. That's it. One to a
hundred and sixty yards, two touchdowns, Josh Allen three hundred
and forty eight yards and four touchdowns, and they're about
to go into halftime. I don't know what they're eating,
but we need to have some of that back to
you guys. All right, monsy, thank you very much. By
the way, welcome to Fox Sports Radio Tailgate presented by

Bill's latest score. Dispect to throw lost one right down

(01:05:09):
the middle. This one is caught by Shakier at the
three headed into the end zone. Get another Buffalo touchdown.
Cut Leo shak Here gets into the act a twenty
four yard lofted passed from Josh Allen w g R
fifty Bills Radio Network. You know it's Dolphins just scored
a touchdown. By the way, really quick, I gotta tell
you down so where he must start most yes, thank you? Yeah,

(01:05:34):
I love it on pastrami. He got all the way
down to one yard line, dope for the pieline. They
ruled him down at the half yard line, and so
it was smythe who actually just took the QB sneak.
It was pretty devious little play there by McDaniel, head
coach for the Dolphins. You saw him scheming and discussing
this on the sideline. Um you had players look disoriented

(01:05:57):
and confused in an I form nation. And then where
they were shouting to the sideline, what do we do?
What do we do? All of a sudden QB sneak
happens and then they forced their way into the end zone.
So right now Miami leading the Jets, Jets leading in
Miami nineteen four, Do I have this backwards? Nineteen Jets

(01:06:21):
nineteen Miami fourteen. That's the score right now. Miama's two scores.
Jets have nine, just scored. Miami just scored to cut
the lead tonight for four seconds ago on the first
half there. But I'll tell you what for Miami to
be hanging in this game after losing Teddy Bridgewater and

(01:06:41):
being forced to use their rookie third string quarterbacks Skyler Thompson, uh,
Mike McDaniel, just trying to figure out, as you said,
any kind of trickery to try to keep them in
the game. And they are doing just that with the
Jets still hanging on to that nineteen of fourteen late
also at halftime, Tampa Bay leading Atlanta thirteen to nothing.

(01:07:02):
Tom Brady has thrown thirty three passes in the first half.
That's a pace for sixty six. He has two hundred
fifty six yards passing, no touchdowns, no interceptions. By contrast,
Marcus Mariota is five for fourteen for fifty two yards
for Atlanta and they have no points. So Tom Brady
getting no rest. Uh. In terms of that forty five

(01:07:24):
year old arm that's apparently their offensive game plan. They
did it last week they lost to the Chiefs. They're
doing it again today, pass pass and more pass. Yeah,
I don't like it. It's unsustainable. I'm sure Tom Brady
doesn't like it. He knows it's not sustainable. But they
found a way to blank the Falcons in the first half,
so they lead thirteen nothing, and they were able to

(01:07:45):
sustain drives. I mean, if you look at the first half. Actually,
I'm gonna pull this up because I think it's gonna
be a huge number in term of the split time
and possession wise. Yeah, seventeen and a half minutes to
twelve and a half minutes Buccaneers over the Falcons. So
they really done a nice job controlling the rock even
though they're throwing the football as much as they are.
And like you said, he's on pace to have something

(01:08:07):
north of sixty five throws today and that is just
too many. Last year, amazingly, at age forty four, he
averaged forty two pass attempts per game for a seventeen
game season. It's the Bionic Arm. Halftime, Brown's leading the
Chargers twenty one to seventeen. Very entertaining game. Browns got
off to an early fourteen out, they lead Chargers wrote

(01:08:28):
back to take the lead and the Browns getta scored.
Nick Chubb has a couple of touchdowns on the ground
nine of ninety nine carries nine five yards and two scores.
Sho Kobe Brisset ten of sixteen hundred twenty nine yards
and the score. Justin Herbert eleven of eighteen hundred and
thirty three yards and a score. Austin Ekelo had a
seventy one yard run, non scoring run in this game.

(01:08:49):
He has six carries for a hundred and six yards.
It's a big game for both these teams. They're both
two and two on the season. You know it's I'm
Alio bul Rich and I wanted to get your reaction
to this. We went into week five, full schedule, nobody's
yet we had one game with two teams of a
winning record, and was the game earlier today between the
three one Giants and the three one Packers. Basically the

(01:09:11):
whole league is two and two. Yeah, it's basically is
that a good thing for the NFL Where we're five
weeks in the season and you only had one game
and Week five with two teams with the winning record? Well?
Is it? Is it good? Uh? In my estimation? Yeah,
it means that you have extreme parity across the NFL.
I think it's good. I I think that's what you're

(01:09:33):
always in search of if you're a commissioner of any league,
or if you're a commissioner of any conference in college football,
for example. Now it's a little bit different. In college football, obviously,
you want at least one team to be dominance, dominance
so that you can have entrance into the National Championship
four game playoff. But in in the NFL and the
n NHL and the n b A and MLB, you

(01:09:55):
want all the teams to be as equal as possible.
It's it's what makes the sport so great. In the NFL,
it's the closest thing we have to that in professional sports,
and it's playing out this season. Give us a chance
to talk about one of the games coming up later
this afternoon. The Eagles remain the only undefeated team after
their comfort behind went against the Jaguars last week. They're

(01:10:15):
on the road against an Arizona Cardinals team that's two
and two oh and two at home. The Eagles are
big favorites in this game on the road. Where are
we right now with the Arizona Cardinals and Cliff Kingsbury
and of course Kyler Murray. Um, where we're at is
we we don't really know what the Eagles are still.

(01:10:36):
I mean, that's that to me. That's the only the
only thing that I I can say definitively is that
their team really without an identity. What do they do?
Extremely well? You know what I mean. You look around
the league and look the elite teams. We know who
they are. You know, even struggling. You don't think the
Eagles are an elite team. Oh are you asking me
about the clinic? You start talking about the Eagles. Oh no, no,

(01:10:59):
I'm I'm sorry, I'm my head spinning today. I'm talking
about the Cardinals and Kyler Murray because he asked me
about Kyler and Kingsbury. Right, I just don't know who
the Cardinals are. I I really, frankly don't and it's
been years now. Here's what I can say definitively. One,
this is a team stole in search of their identity
who they want to be. In Two, it's a team
who in the second half of seasons they start losing

(01:11:21):
games out of rapid pace. And now they're going to
get a little bit of a Booey a little bit
of a life support thrown to them with DeAndre Hopkins
coming off of suspension here soon. So I'm I'm guessing
they're hoping that that really changes things and solidifies their
offense a little bit more. But it just doesn't look consistent,
it doesn't look cohesive, and going against an Eagles team today,

(01:11:42):
I've got serious worries that we could see a very
lopside of victory for the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. Well,
you mentioned the Cardinals under Kingsbury, his AMMO is getting
off to good starts and then his team's fading late
in the season, the fact that they have struggled out
the gate. And we said this with that whole Kyler
Murray revelation about that insertion into his contract about required

(01:12:03):
hours to study film and everything else that eventually was
pulled out of his contract, that if the Cardinals are
not playing well, if he's not playing well, then all
of a sudden people are suspicious, saying is he doing
the work, is he putting in the time. Is he
just sitting there playing video games all day long. It
may not be fair, but that's what happens when something

(01:12:23):
like that leaks and then all of a sudden you're
not playing well, people are gonna question what's going on
with Kyler Murray. Life's not fair, first of all, And
when you're getting paid north of two hundred million dollars
over the course of a contract, Um, I'm not really
all that concerned about your feelings as a professional. Look,
there's expectations now for Kyler Murray that weren't there previous

(01:12:45):
to this contract being signed. Same with Russell Wilson in Denver.
I mean, I mean, ask Russell how he's handling all
this pressure. I obviously he wants to play better. Obviously
the Denver Broncos want him to play better. He hasn't
played great so far this season. There is a lot
of work to be done, but to his credit, he
has been handling it with a tremendous amount of dignity

(01:13:06):
and class. I think Kyler and the Cardinals, I think
that was a huge distraction this offseason. I think it
was handled really clunky by the franchise and by Kyler.
You know, going out there and calling it impromptu press
conference and then telling members of the media how much
film you watch? That was embarrassing. That was really embarrassing.
Whoever was managing him at the time, if they still

(01:13:29):
are mismanaged that situation. But you're right, it will stain
his his legacy over the course of this contract. If
he underperforms, people are always going to look back at
that moment and say, yeah, is he played too much
call duty or is he actually breaking down Philadelphia Eagles film.
Al Right, on the other side, we get ready for
the second half of nine games being played around the NFL.

(01:13:50):
Right now, keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio, his Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got
the place that you may admits. Fields goes back in
the gun, back to his right. Two receivers left, one
to the right, cushion across the board. Motion the velis

(01:14:11):
jeng pick toss it to him coming to their sex corner.
Ten ft to the pilot. Here's itt for the touchdown.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Yeah, that was w

(01:14:33):
BBM News Radio seven eight a M, one of five
point nine FM Bears Radio network. Bears went for a
two point aversion failed, so the Vikings still leave the
Bears by a score of twenty one to sixteen. We
got ten and half minutes ago in the third quarter.
Welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We
alive from the tire Rack dot Com studios and yes,

(01:14:55):
second half action is underway. Nine games going on right
now around the National Football League. The New England Patriots
have added a field goal, so they now lead the
Lions by a score of nineteen to nothing. And that
this is a big game really for both of these teams.
But you gotta feel for Belichick right now. You're one

(01:15:15):
in three, you've lost your only home game before. Lions
team have been putting a lot of points on the board,
but you have shut them down and the Patriots lead
at nineteen nothing. Yeah, it's been an impressive defensive effort
for the Pats and they really do need it because
they got to support their rookie quarterback who's doing a
nice job, you know, doing everything they're asking him to do,

(01:15:36):
staying within his abilities, not over extending himself. Frankly, it
feels exactly the same as Mac Jones and that's not
a good sign, you know. So with New England, obviously,
you take a fifteenth overall pick and you're expecting him
to be a franchise changing player. You're expecting him to
be the next Tom Brady. You know, obviously not commisure

(01:16:00):
it with the the level of talent that Tom has
and and has played with throughout an illustrious twenty two
year career now, but but something something like that, right,
a franchise level quarterback, he has not been that. Um
So you put in Bailey Zappy and you're expecting there
to be a significant drop off from what we've seen

(01:16:22):
against Matt versus mac Jones, and there really hasn't been.
All right, uh, Seahawks leading the Saints that they have
nineteen seventeen, first play of the second half, Seahawks the
ball there was a pass to metcalf fumbled. They ruled
at a fumble recovered by the Saints, but now they
are reviewing the place the first half, first play of

(01:16:43):
the second half and against Seahawks leading this game by
score of nineteen to seventeen. Gino Smith fabulous games so
far eight to thirteen, A hundred and sixty six yards,
two touchdowns, no picks. That's a passer rating of a
hundred and forty five. By the way, if you've lost
track about the same quarterback these days, Andy Dalton uh
is the Saints quarterback right now not bad. Nine of

(01:17:05):
thirteen eighty eight yards, no interceptions. In this game. Taysom
Hill has been the story of the Saints office with
a couple of rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Bears just getting
right back in this game. We sort of dismissed this
game as a Vikings blowout, and Justin Fields has led
the Bears back. Uh. We mentioned they had the touchdown
one for two, did not get it, but it's Vikings

(01:17:27):
twenty one sixteen over the Bears. Kirk Cousins has been
fabulous twenty three of twenty two twenty three yards and
a score. Justin Jefferson eleven catches a hundred and forty
four yards. Uh. I was asking somebody before the season,
if somebody was potentially gonna have the kind of year
that we saw from Cooper Cup winning the receiver Triple Crown,

(01:17:49):
who would it be? They said, Justin Jefferson of the Vikings. Yeah,
he's my pick for offensive player of the year, and
it's because of my belief in Kevin O'Connell and what
he did offensively in l A At Jared Goff, I
look at Kirk Cousins as a very similar quarterback. Uh,
and I saw that offense highlight the talents of their
best receiver there, Cooper cup well well while Golf was

(01:18:11):
the quarterback. So if you have a special talent like
Justin Jefferson and he's paired with a competent enough quarterback
like Kirk Cousins and he's running the same system that
Jared Goff ran with Cooper cup back then with Kevin O'Connell,
I'm expecting big things from Cousins. And so here we
go and it's a twenty one sixteen lead over the
Chicago Bears, who aren't out of this one. You know,

(01:18:33):
they're they're not playing doormat here. They're actually showing some
fight and uh, they're making this this a game here
in the second half. All right, So that play the
fumba we talked about has been reviewed and they have
said it's gonna go to the Saints. So the place
stands a fumble for Metcalf on the first play of

(01:18:55):
the second half, So the Saints will get the ball,
trailing this game to the seas fight score of nineteen
to seventeen. Really good job by this scene secondary. So
Metcalf caught that football and he was hit once and
the ball looked like it was dislodged, but he gathered again,
and then he was hit again. This is the reason

(01:19:15):
why defensive coordinators and defensive coaches in general say, hey,
we need a swarm to the football because you're gonna
have opportunities like that where receiver you know, in traffic
catches a football. But if he's hit once, maybe it's
just a tackle and it's a gain of eight. If
he's hit twice, maybe it's a fumble and it changes
the outcome of a game. Right now, scenes trailed by two,
that is a huge turnover. We mentioned Josh Allen had

(01:19:38):
three hundred and forty eight yards passing in the first
half of the Bills now leading the Steelers thirty one
to three. Uh second half just underway. The reason that
the record for most passing yards and the game is
still on the books after seventy one years is a
game like this. I mean, could Josh Allen s throw
for six hundred yards today? Most likely? Yeah, they really

(01:19:59):
wanted to. Yeah, but with a thirty one to three lead,
I can promise you, uh, he's not gonna get to
six hun of yards. They gonna run the ball plenty.
Uh in the second half of this game, it's been
an embarrassing day. Can you pick of what he? Can
you do? I mean it's not terrible, sixteen sixty two
yards and the pick, but they've been overwhelmed by this
Bill's offense. Alright, So we got a lot of games

(01:20:19):
underway now, second half, We've got games later on today.
We're gonna start breaking down some of those games for you.
The good news is there's only one place where you
need to be to get all your information, whether it's
the scores, whether it's all the kind of statute for
your fantasy football. That's why we are here. It's Hartman
and arm Burger. You're listening to Fox Sports red Zo Radio.

It's in the fifteen, spins away to the ten, to
the five. I've tried get a defender into the end zone.
Touchdown Chargers that is k y s R N seven

(01:21:09):
Chargers Radio Network. So The Chargers have regained the lead
over the Cleveland Browns Bolts nine and a half minutes
ago in the third quarter. That has been as entertaining
as any game on the board today, back and forth,
exchanging leads. Meanwhile, the Saints have retaken the lead um

(01:21:30):
the River of the Seahawks four to nineteen. Yeah. The
red rifle finds Chris A Lava on a corner route
to the end zone. He reels it in. There was
controversy on the play because as he went down to
the ground in the end zone the ball came loose.
They consider it a score. They now lead. What is
it twenty seven or is it? Where's the score? Thank

(01:21:52):
over over the Seahawks. Thank you. I don't know what
this is what sleep deprivation looks like. I was gonna say,
you're you're working the late night shift. The uh yeah.
The tricky thing about it you might lose Chris Lave
for the day though. So with the new concussion protocols,
they're calling a taxia a no go symptom, which is

you know you go limp anything like we saw with

either one against the Bills or what we saw against
the Cincinnati Bengals, you are immediately ruled out for the
remaining of that competition. And look here they're replaying it

(01:22:34):
on the screen here Steve, did you see him? He
kind of went limp after you know, I want to
get into that in a moment here because the Commissioner
Goodell said that they are going to take some steps
in terms of protocol for concussions next level for the NFL.

it gets to the eyeball test, which is what everyone
was talking about with two A tongue of bye low
whether he says he's feeling or right or not. When
you see a guy going to his knees after hitting

(01:23:16):
his head on the turf. By the way, we have
a touchdown here by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A little
short pass from Brady to Leonard for net touchdown. Larry
over there in Tampa. So they now leave ninety nothing
over the Falcons in a game where Tom Brady is
gonna throw his arm off and that only continues here.

(01:23:36):
Excuse me, touch on, Lenny. You got you got this.
Uh you got this Falcons team led by Arthur Smith
quarterback Marcus Mariota. And to start the season it kind
of felt like, okay, you know, if the Falcons keep
playing this way, they may hang into the picture here
because Mariota didn't look terrible, defense looked sound, It looked
like he was going to head in one direction and

(01:23:57):
at least in division. Here it is still very clear
Tampa Bay is dominant and they're attempting the two point conversion.
My guess Tom Brady passed because it's virtually all we've
seen today, well already was six minutes ago. On the
third quarter. Tom Brady is thirty of forty one for
three five yards and a touchdown. So one one way

(01:24:19):
to keep your mind off of your personal problems, and
the two point a version is good. Uh So there
it is twenty one nothing. Now the Buccaneers lead the Falcons.
But yeah, when you're throwing the ball constantly. What else
can you be thinking about? Uh so, one thing to
keep his off of his marital woes. Thirty of forty one,

(01:24:40):
six minutes ago on the third quarter. Ridiculous. Oh boy,
we have an injury situation in the Seattle Seahawks game.
Star running back Rashad Penny clutching his lower left leg
right now on the sideline with the trainers and medical staff.
Let's see how this went down. He was a ball
carrier plays and he was pulled down by the back

(01:25:03):
of his jersey, but he was pulling up right before
he went down. He planted his foot. You just pray
it's not an achilles situation. It looks like he's having
a hard time getting to his feet and he's literally
scooting himself backward from the sideline to get away from
the action. Look for a shot. Penny through the course

(01:25:24):
of this game, through the course of the end of
last season into this season, has been one of the
league's leading rushers, and so this is a huge blow
for a Seattle Seahawks offense that's been absolutely rolling in
A large part of that has been the player for
a shot Penny, New England Patriots in the end zone again,
still blanking the Detroit Lions a twenty five nothing lead,

(01:25:48):
hosting the Lions to attack on the extra point and
it is good. And so the Patriots just absolutely dominant
today and they're doing it with Bailey Zappi at quarterback
who is sixteen of nineteen a hundred sixty five yards,
a touchdown and a pick. Stevenson, by the way, has
a hundred two yards rushing for England. So it's been

(01:26:08):
complete dominance against the Lions team that came into this
week with the highest scoring offense in the Lake. Jared
Goff is seven of twelve, sixty five yards a pick,
and they have no scores. So big, big performance by
the Patriots today and annihilating the Detroit Lions. And again, uh,
you have a coach that looks like he's gonna now

(01:26:29):
be four seventeen and one as a head coach, and
that is not good for job security, no question about it.
And how about Jacoby Myers that passed from Belie Zappi
was for twenty four yards end the score in that
Patriots game. So that's the way it looks like they're
in New England. Not much of a game to be played.
But yeah, this Saints Seahawks game is lead Saints over

(01:26:51):
Hawks right now, and they're gonna have to do it
without their star running back. Third down conversion is not
so good for the Seahawks today, one of five so far.
They're facing third down right now. Alright, Chargers are right
back at it, having taken the lead twenty four to
twenty one. It was a four and out for the
Browns and now the Chargers have the ball deep into

(01:27:15):
uh Brown's territory trying to add to that score. They
have a third and goal now, fourth and goal at
the Cleveland seven yard lines, so you never know what
Brandon Stalele do. They go for fourth and goal with
a three point later, you take the three points. They
went for the field goal, so the field goal is good.
Chargers lead the Browns twenty seven to one. Still plenty

(01:27:37):
of time. They're six minutes ago UH in the third quarter.

Buccaneers Drive. Falcons now have the ball on their side
of the field twenty yard line going out. Um. Tom
Brady has his forty game with over three yards passing
since turning fort Uh we have that touchdown, by the way,

(01:28:20):
Rudolphin motion to the light in the snap play action
fake in the pass by Brady to touchdown Champa Bay.
Easy prickets for Tom Brady and letter for Yeah Buccaneers
Radio network. So they added the two point conversion twenty
one nothing Tampa over Atlanta. Meanwhile, the Bills are knocking
on the door again. Uh, they haven't been throwing ball

(01:28:41):
much after throwing for three and forty eight yards in
the first half thirty one to three Bills, and they
are in scoring position again. Uh, first and ten, actually
second and five right now at the Pittsburgh twelve yard line. Yeah,
not so good for Pittsburgh. So they make the switch
from Cherbinsky to pick it and it's largely i think,

(01:29:01):
in my opinion, due to the poor player of Rbinsky.
But mostly due to the fact that Pittsburgh fans were
furious that Serbinsky was still in there as their season
felt like it was slipping away. And look, Kenny Pickett
is playing like a rookie right now. He's seventeen of
twenty six so far today. It hasn't been great through
another pick. It just is what it is. He's he's

(01:29:23):
gonna earn his lumps in the NFL, and he's playing
against one of the best defenses in the league. And
the Bills are down in the low red zone and
looking for another score. Alright, one team trying to pull
out really would be an unbelievable victory on the world.
That would be the Miami Dolphins UH. The Jets leading
this game nineteen to seventeen. UH Dolphins were down nineteen

(01:29:44):
fourteen and a half. They got a Fueld goal, But
the story of this game, Teddy Bridgewater, taken over for
the injured to a tongue of voloa, got hurt early
in the game, forcing Miami to go with their third
sting UH string quarterback, the rookie Skyler Thompson. He hasn't
done a whole off, but they have been able to
run the ball. Mostard has a hundred eight yards rushing
and a score. But they had the ball at midfield

(01:30:06):
right now against the Jets and they're only down two,
So this would be uh This would be quite a
win for Miami if they can come back and win
this one, especially on the road. Would be a devastating
loss for the Jets, who, by the way, have yet
to win a game at home. Oh and two at home,
two and on the road. So nineteen seventeen, still Jets
leading the Dolphins. Keep the highlights coming Sam first and

(01:30:29):
ten from the twenty four yard lock. Allow the near
hash shotgut staff of play fake by Zappy moves up
throws to the touchdown. Patriots nine Sports Hub in the
Patriots Radio network. Twenty six and nothing Now, England defeated
UH leading over Detroit with less than a minute ago

(01:30:49):
in the third quarter. I'm laughing because what just happened
was very funny. UM red Zone TV flash to the
commanders who are now making this a ball game. Take
the lead again again to the Tennessee Titans fourteen after
a touchdown reception a thirty yard pass from Carson Wentz
to Diami Brown and red Zone didn't put up his name.

(01:31:11):
They just put up wide receiver number two because not
too many people have Diami Brown on the old fantasy
football ticker. But today he's caught two passages for over
a hundred yards in that score. All right, the Bills
were going in for a touchdown, but check this out.
Fumble at the goal line and it was recovered by

(01:31:31):
the Steelers, so they got a touch back. The question
is that's a fumble. That ball is loose before I
got to the goal line. That is a fumble. Little
shuttle pass did not work for the Bills. So the
bill is still leading this game over Pittsburgh by a
score of thirty one to three. All Right, we're rolling
on here as we had toward the fourth quarters of

(01:31:52):
nine games around the National Football League. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,

candet catch and the second of the game for Brown.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right, So that
was big one hundred Commanders Radio network temporarily giving the
Commanders the lead, but another Derek Henry touchdown and the

(01:32:43):
Titans have regained the late twenty one to seventeen a
minute ago in the third quarter. Titans leaning on the
road against the Commanders who have been getting a really
good day, a really good day out of Carson Wentz.
Eleven and nineteen, two hundred and fifty nine yards, two
touched hands, no picks. That's a hundred and thirty seven
passer rating. But Derrick Henry has been doing it on

(01:33:05):
the grand a couple of scores, eighty five yards rushing
for the Titans. Welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. We are live from the ti iraq dot
com studios and Rich. The Cleveland Browns have re game
lead over the Chargers in this back and fourth game.
Kareem Hunt a two yard touchdown run, so it is

(01:33:25):
twenty seven Browns over the Chargers inside a minute ago
in the third quarter. Yeah, and how about this run
game for the Browns, just dominating the clock on this
last drive eleven place, seventy five yards, almost five minutes
ticked off there as the third quarter is about to
come to a close. Five lead changes in this game
in Cleveland, and right now the Browns lead by one

(01:33:48):
over the Chargers, and this is exactly going how we
were discussing it pregame, Steve. We're saying, why is this spread?
Look the way it does. These two teams seem way
more even on paper when you look at all the
injuries to the Chargers and you look at the success
the Browns have had in spite of having their starting
quarterback on the shelf until week eleven with Jr. Kobe

(01:34:10):
bersett led by their defense in their run game, and
so far it's going exactly as we thought. This is
basically a tie ball game. Keep your eye on the
Bears and the Vikings. Five Kings have been leading this
game throughout up twenty one nineteen right now over the Bears,
and the Bears have the ball in Minnesota territory. So

(01:34:30):
Justin Fields, who's pretty much a one man offense today.
Uh He is ten of sixteen hundred fifty five yards
in a score. He also leads the Bears and rushing
with forty seven yards on the grounds. Justin Fields, this
would be an unbelievable win for the Bears if they
could come from behind to win this one because early
on it was all Vikings. They were up twenty one

(01:34:52):
to three. At one point in this game, uh Kirk
Cousins twenty thirty three thirty nine yards. But it seems
like we've been barking out those same numbers are quite
a while for him. So the Vikings offense have stalled
in the Bears trying to get back in this game.
Another team with a new coach this year, this would
be such a huge win for the Bears. I mean

(01:35:12):
two and two despite looking really pitiful and some of
their appearances and and there was some um, some honesty
from offensive coordinator gets He talking about his quarterback. He
was saying his quarterback rating actually should be lower because
some of the sacks that he's taken should have been
balls that he threw, should should have thrown away instead
of taking the sack. So it's been bad at quarterback.

(01:35:36):
It hasn't really looked like it. They're they're been showing
much signs of improvement there, but so far today, no
big mistakes. Um and and yeah, and and look a
lot of times we look at QB sacks, the totals
that a quarterback will take during the course of the season.
Will blame the offensive line. A lot of those have
to be credited to the Chicago Bears, who just scored,

(01:35:56):
Yeah they did, Santos a fifty one yard field goals.
So twenty two twenty one Bears leading in Minnesota nine
and a half minutes to goo. Uh in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile,
the Falcons down twenty one nothing to the Buccaneers have
a third and three at the Tampa fourteen. No offense today,
I mean absolutely no offense. Mariota has had a tough

(01:36:20):
day at the office. Nine of eighteen just eighty four yards.
He's been sacked four times for thirty one yards and losses.
He's also they're leading Russia with fifty yards, so nothing
there for Atlanta. They're starting the fourth quarter. Uh. Tom
Brady an amazing thirty two of forty three three and
thirty three yards and a touchdown. Let's hear that. Tennessee
latest score, Henry diving stretching the ball touched. Henry broke

(01:36:47):
the plane by stretching the football at Tennessee head surge
back in front w g F X one or four
point five the Titans radio network. So there's been a
back and fourth game with the Titans and the Commanders.
We just finished the third quarter. We headed the four Titans,
leading this game by a score of twenty one to seven. Team.

(01:37:07):
By the way, if you're wondering about that Texans Jaguars game,
I think they just called the game because it's such
a bad game, so they stopped that game. Uh. It
is six, six, nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Texans have the ball in Houston territory. They have a
third and two at the Houston thirty four yard line.
But this one has been incredibly forgettable. Four field goals

(01:37:30):
in this game. Davis Mills has thrown for just ninety
three yards. Trevor Lawrence has thrown for two twenty four,
but he threw an interception the end zone. Statistically, Jacksonville
has dominated this game, but they still haven't gotten the
end zone. How about this a f C South overall,
I mean, what a brutal division so far this season.

(01:37:51):
Everybody who has a chance at this thing or at
two and two, the Colts, the Titans, the Jaguars. Of course,
there's going to be separation today with the Houston Texans
playing the Jaguars in the Tennessee Titans looking up a
Seahawks interception right there, say, Andy Dawton gets picked off
by the Saints for the Saints, the Seahawks will take over.
Saints lead this game so plenty times five minutes ago.

(01:38:15):
Uh in the fourth quarter a third quarter? Uh. Meanwhile,
let's hear that Brown score. Bryant goes in motion right
to left present, waiting for the snap, takes it turns,
gives to Kareem Hunt. He leaps up in the air
towards the goal line. Touchdown. He's in Karem Hunt. We're
tied at seven. Brown's rating on Network. They did add

(01:38:36):
the extra points, so the Browns lead the Chargers. And yes,
indeed the Falcons have scored. They're on the board, folks.
Avery Williams off the left tackle, rushes it in for
their first points on the board, and young Waiku tax
on the extra point seven in Tampa. And hey, listen,
you know this game felt like it was over at

(01:38:59):
the half, just because the Falcons felt left for dead.
But if they come alive in the fourth quarter, is
it inconceivable that they can tie this football game or
take a late week No, it's not a lot of
football left to be played. Nine left on the clock.
Let's take a breath because I want to mention the
Fox Sports Radio tailgate presented by Big Green egg. Nothing
beats the flavor of live fire cooking on a Big

(01:39:20):

earlier having barbecued in a while. What would be your
go to if you've been laid off from the barbecue
for an extended period and you've got time to put

(01:39:43):
it together? What's the first thing you put on the grill?
You know me, I love ribs, But what I got
a hankering for, just because it's sort of a setting
and forget a type of meal, is maybe like a
nice pork shoulder and make some sandwiches. You know, I
mean sounds like a process. The weather is starting to chill,
you know, we're starting to smell fall in the air.

(01:40:04):
Maybe maybe throw together some buns with a little barbecue
sauce inside, some pickled red onions. Huh. Yeah. The falls
in southern California called Summers's yea, our fall is like
a summer. Yesterday we were literally on a pontoon boat
chasing around dolphins in a bay. So yeah, October hasn't
really taken effect here called late summer. We don't set

(01:40:26):
the California in southern California, all right. So we mentioned
after the interception the Seahawks take over nineteen Saints Gino
Smith Again. The story with Gino this year has just
been accuracy. I mean, he has been an accurate passer
all season long. Came into this game leading the NFL
seventy seven percent passing and been a little off today

(01:40:47):
with the accuracy, but otherwise he has a one and
twenty one passer rating. The big story there was rare shot.
Panty went out with an injury. Once again. He been
running the ball beautifully. Did not look good. If we
got an update on the shot an injury. He's been
carded to the locker room. His dad looks It looked
like an achilles to me, it really did. I hate

(01:41:08):
to say that, I don't want to speculate, but just
the fact that he could not even stand on that
leg not a good time when you're carded off the sideline.
Gino Smith looking downfield. Yeah, this is gonna be a
hole because he was ranging to his left side and
he was all alone. K was left all alone, and

(01:41:30):
it will bring up third down. Do we see what
the penalty was though they didn't hesitated as a holding
call on Charles Cross. Somebody got tackled here on the
Saints defense. I saw it. Let's see here and there
there's the whole right, yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta yeah, Okay,

(01:41:51):
Well that's how he got open to throw that pass. Yeah,
you know, that's an offensive line and that's what you
gotta do, right. You hope you get away with it.
You can't. You can't whole jersey when your quarterback gets
out of the pocket. And unfortunately for Across, that's how
it goes down. So it walks them back a third
and eighteen from the Saints forty two yard line. Gino Smith,

(01:42:12):
like you said, who has had an overall really accurate
day throwing from the pocket, and while he's been on
the run again, is scrambling around looking for anything downfield
and the Saint Stefen is doing a good job. So
he's gonna have to eat it and they're gonna have
a fourth down. Let's find out what's trending right now
as we welcome once back. How you doing, I'm better.

(01:42:34):
I noticed that we've had no food here after the
first two weeks. You know, I'm looking at Ryan. I'm looking.
I'm looking at Ryan. Uh because Richie, you sported us
to the vegetarian feast. Oh my goodness. Yeah, did I
ever veggie What were they called? Veggie wing? Vegan wings?

(01:42:57):
Bolano said, you know, you guys, you don't understand. You
try vegan wings. And then I did, and then I
countered that week two of those monster pizza pies. Those
were gigantic. Um. But it's been quiet here on the
food front ever since. Let's fix that. I'm hoping that
next week I'm gonna be able to get some baked
goods in here. Much much anticity. I'm not going to

(01:43:19):
say goods. Maybe some pie. You know. You know, there's
a lot of versatility coming my way. Not that I'm
I'm just delivering the food. Don't eat it, don't worry,
oh no, no, just wearing an apron, powdering nothing. I

(01:43:40):
can't even boil an egg. I mean I can barely
put cereal in a bowl. Let's go that way, guys,
I I tell me what's wrong with the Lions. I mean,
they scored a hundred and forty points in their first
four games, and here we are zero. It is the
only game lap that it would be shut out. The
Patriots are shutting them out empty six zero, very early

(01:44:02):
in the fourth quarter. But I mean the Lions are struggling.
I know they're bit depleted, but a hundred and forty
in the first four games and we're at zero so
far in this game. Bailey Zappy a hundred and sixty
five yards and a touchdown for the Patriots the Bills.
The score hasn't changed it a while, but it didn't
need to because the Bills came out hot and that's
just been the story. Still the same score that we've

(01:44:23):
had at halftime, thirty one to three on the Steelers.
But Josh Allen completed twenty of thirty one passes so far,
four hundred and twenty four yards and four touchdowns. I
don't know if you can it's gonna reach five hundred
because there's still a whole quarter left to go in
that game. I I don't know why he's still in
the in the game. Yeah, I mean, you're up thirty

(01:44:45):
one three. There any reason for Josh Allen to be
on the field, no question, no. But but at the
same token, I mean, look, they're these players are competitors.
We could have said the same thing about Justin Herbert,
who has eight every snap he's been available for, even
though he's got fractured rip cartilage. So it just is
what it is. It's tough to pull these guys off

(01:45:07):
the field. Yeah, but I'm I'm with you, Steve. Just
take him out. It's not worth it. Take him out.
The Chargers and Browns, it's been a fun game. The
Browns are up by a point eight to seventeen. Early
in the fourth quarter. The Bears have taken the lead
on the Vikings with the fifty one yard field goal,
so they are up twenty two to twenty one four
minutes to go in the game. Kirk Cousins two d
and eighty one yards on a touchdown. He completed thirty

(01:45:27):
of thirty seven passes so far. And we've got the
Saints up on the Seahawks twenty four to nineteen. Geno
Smith for the Seahawks has had a good game, two
hundred nine yards to touchdowns. We have the Jets and
the Dolphins going at it a close one. Jets are
up just by two, nineteen to seventeen early in the
fourth quarter, and the Buccaneers were shutting out the Falcons
up until about three minutes ago. The Falcons are on

(01:45:48):
the scoreboard with the touchdowns, so the scores twenty one
to seven. Early in the fourth quarter. The Times and
Commanders have also been going back and forth, and the
Titans are up twenty one to seventeen. Derrick Henry has
twenty seven carries, ninety eight yard and two touchdowns. And
we still have a tie game between the Texans and
the Jaguars, tied at six apiece with six minutes to
go in the fourth quarter. Maybe we should have called

(01:46:09):
it like he said, yeah, you guys all right, Thank
you very much. Monsey. By the way, the Chargers second
and eight at the Cleveland ten yard line. This game
has gone back and fourth. Chargers trailing the Browns by
a score of twenty eight to seven. Austin Ekeler, what
a game for him. Fourteen catch, carries, a hundred and

(01:46:30):
seventy yards and a score. He also has a receiving
touchdown in this game. Justin Herbert two hundred two yards
a touchdown, no picks. Jacoby briset Sin three yards a
touchdown and no picks. But it's been about in the
ground game for both these teams. Who would have guessed
that the Chargers with out game the Browns on the ground,

(01:46:52):
but they have two hundred and thirty six yards rushing
in this game. Uh So the Chargers with ten seven
teen to oh h in the fourth quarter, now have
a third and seven, now fourth and seven at the
Cleveland nine yard line, so it looks like they're gonna
have to settle for a field goal attempt there. I meanwhile,
the Vikings trailing the Bears twenty two to twenty one.

(01:47:15):
They have a first down at the Bears fifteen yard line.
We are getting inside the three minute mark right now,
and that one Vikings lets throughout this game, but justin
fields leading the Bears back Bears lead twenty one, but
the Vikings had the ball at the Bears fifteen yard
line with a second and ten, and we have a
saint score. I think it was Taysa Hill found Troutman

(01:47:38):
in the end zone for a touchdown pass. If I'm
seeing this correctly, We'll see what the replay looks like.
But taysa Hill for those of you who started him
at tight end for your fantasy team. He's now has
two rushing touchdowns and he's added a passing touchdown along
with a fumble recovery. He's had a lot for a
tight end. He's been the reason why the Saints are

(01:48:00):
even in this game, let alone, leading now thirty to
nineteen in New Orleans over the Seahawks. Also, by the way, uh,
those Bears you were talking about. I I don't I
don't even know how this has occurred, but it looked
like the Vikings the whole way up until the end
of the second quarter. The Bears have scored nineteen consecutive
points on the Vikings. Vikings stalled out at twenty one,

(01:48:22):
and so have the ball in the red zone. Kirk
Cousins dropping back on a third and eight play and
they get the first down. It'll be down at the
two yard line, and so I have an opportunity to
answer here for the first time in the second half.
They've been blanked so far offensively. All right, Chargers did
get the field goals. So the Chargers retake the lead

(01:48:43):
thirty to twenty eight over the Browns nine and a
half minutes to go. There. The Bills just got another
touchdown thirty eight to three blowout over the Steelers. That
should do it for Josh Allen out there, and we
got a first in goal for the Texans. Are we
gonna get a touchdown in this game? Say six? Texans
and Jaguars, both teams with a couple of field goals,

(01:49:04):
But it is the Texans right now with four minutes
to go in the fourth quarter, a first and goal
at the Jacksonville to yard line. We got it up
there on the far left. Are we going to get
a touchdown in this game? No? No, I think Jacksonville
holds and there trying to get in the end zone.
The one we got in the small box was two

(01:49:28):
yard run I've ever seen have he just I mean well,
he also made contact with every single one of the
Jacksonville Jaguars defense just sort of crawled tried. That was
a great effort. It was that he didn't get there.
He came up short. So the one yard rush attempt
down at the half yard line and oh my goodness,

(01:49:50):
did the ball come out. Now we're looking at this
if Jacksonville somehow forced this fumble and comes up with
the fumble recovery. Maybe we don't see a touchdown at best,
maybe we see a safety. All right, I'm watching the
Jets and the Jets trying to get into the end zone.
They've been trying to hang onto this lead against a

(01:50:11):
depleted Dolphins team. Now with their third string quarterback, Jets
leading this game nineteen to seventeen inside the eleven minute mark,
and they are down to the one yard line right
now of the Dolphins. So this is big for the Jets.
First and goal at the Miami one yard line. Let's
hear that Bill's latest score stamp and they give it

(01:50:31):
to James Cook. The Ruskie finds a big role right side,
cuts back there, backlift side any sales into the end touchdown.
James Cook twenty four yard touchdown run. He went right,
he cut back left, and there was nobody in front
of m w g R five fifty Bills Radio Network. Uh,
it's been a long time since we've seen the Steelers
get this blown out of a game. Uh. And remember

(01:50:53):
the first two weeks and the Bills rich looked absolutely
unbeatable and those dominat wins against the Rams and the Titans.
Then they lost the game. The Dolphins eaked out the
win against the Ravens. Back to their blowing out their
opponents today, at least for today, the Bills look once
again like the best team in the NFL, no question
about it. The Jets just extended their lead to twenty

(01:51:17):
five seventeen over the Miami Dolphins in New York with
a Michael Carter one yard carry on first in goal.
It was set up by the briefe Hall twenty one
yard reception to get them down to the one yard line,
and after the carry and the score, Carter does the
jail and wildle waddle as his touchdown celebration. Could get

(01:51:38):
a little chippy here in the fourth quarter between these
two AFC East rivals all right Vikings with the first
and goal at the two yard line pass out of
the end zone, so the second a goal right now,
Bears leading the Vikings twenty two to twenty one. We
are at two thirty four to go in the fourth quarter.
Uh so, obviously what the Bears are hoping for at

(01:51:59):
the very least of the hold the Vikings to a
field goal. But at second goal and goal for the
Vikings at the Bears two yard line, Kirk Cousins thirty
two of forty one two hundred and ninety six yards
passed this game. Uh, Justin Jefferson has twelve catches for
a hundred fifty four yards. Dalvin Cook has run for
ninety three yards and two touchdowns. And that's what I

(01:52:19):
would do. I would hand the ball to Dalvin Cook
and he walks in, no nope, tackle tackle about the
one yard line. Bears looking tough, I'll tell you what.
And on that last playing they look tough as well
well defended play action passes. Theland was trying to get
open on the back of the end zone, uh out
route and now here they hold again. So bring up

(01:52:41):
third down at the goal line. Let's hear the Saints
last score. Tayson's gonna throw it across the middle and
that is gonna be a touchdown to Adam Troutman. Tas
to Troutman put the touchdown w w L Saints Radio Network.
So there it is. Taysom Hill is throwing a touchdown
pass run for touchdowns and he's most likely listed as

(01:53:02):
a tight end. Thirty one to nineteen. They just finished
the third quarter. There, that's the latest of the games
right now. With the thirty one lead over the Seahawks.
All right, so let's uh watch right here now, third
and goal for the Vikings. We got to twenty nine
to go in the fourth quarter. Bears lead this one
one and they are playing tough at the goal line,

(01:53:24):
and we got an empty backfield and Kirk Cousins tries
to sneak it in and it looks like no signal yet.
I thought he got in there. You do saying touchdown ratus,
I'm like, what I mean, I'm watching them like I
saw it. The pile moved forward. They only had a
half a yard to go, so it looks like Kirk

(01:53:46):
Cousins gets into the That's what they should do. Run
the football at the goal line. Take the ball out
of Kirk's hand unless you're gonna have him QB sneaking
because that's where he shrinks a little bit. Right in
those gotta have it moments, prime time moments, Kirk Cousins struggles,
so again, play to his strengths. Really smart idea by
that offensive coordinating staff led by Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota.

(01:54:08):
They take the lead. I love this. In the NFL,
it is legal to shove somebody from behind. That's right.
Remember the bus push. Remember that point conversion attempt by
the Vikings and it's in. Okay, Cousins does not get
in the end zone without being shoved him by two
of his teammates right at the goal line. So justin

(01:54:32):
Jefferson with the two point conversion catch from as of
the pylon knocks it over for the score. All right
to go in the fourth quarter, We'll see if the
Bears can come back. We continue on. We're heading to
the finish line in these morning games. Keep it right here.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox

(01:54:56):
Red Zone Radio, and we got the place that you
may have. So, Cousins, what a speak? Seriously, what are
we doing? Yes, touchdown on the seat for a rushing touchdown.

(01:55:19):
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That was k FAM
Minneapolis and the Vikings Radio Network two minute awarding in
that game and the Vikings lead the Bears two. Welcome
back Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from

(01:55:41):
the tire rack dot Com studios. Meanwhile, Jagobibri said, what
are you doing third and seven at the Chargers nine
yard line? Down to meaning that even if you don't
get the first down, he got a short field goal
to take the lead, and he throws a pass acrosses by.
It's picked off by the Chargers. So the Chargers now

(01:56:03):
have the ball, leading the Browns thirty to to to
go uh in the fourth quarter in that game, and
you just like, what are you doing? We have a fumble? Okay,
so the brown excuse me, the Bears just got the
ball back from Oh it looks like they recovered their
own fumble because it looked like it was a strip
sack on Justin Fields, and then the Vikings would have

(01:56:26):
been able to put this game away. But yeah, to
your point about Brissett, those are the players that you
just can't make if you're Jacoby Bursett. It's a two
point game. It's just it's unconscious, unconscionable. Okay. So now
the Chargers, let's put it this way. They need first
downs because they have an opportunity to put this game

(01:56:46):
away with But the Browns have all three of their
time out so they can stop the clock here, plus
they have the two minute warning. The Browns are most
likely going to get this ball back. I'll tell you what.
Another entertaining game today. Saints still leading five over the Seahawks.
Another touchdown pass Gino Smith the tyler Locke. Let's hear
that score deep met calf watch all lock It catch

(01:57:11):
in to make a catch. How did lock It make
cat catch between two defenders and all of a sudden
lock It shot through the front of the end soon
and makes the catch for six Another deep play touchdown
Seahawks Radio Network. I'll tell you how lock It made
that catch. It was a perfect pass, Gino Smith. There

(01:57:31):
were three defenders and the ball was in the one
spot right in the arms of lock Up for a touchdown.
So Gino Smith trying to lead a Seahawks comeback. Saints
have the ball right now. A lot of time left
in that game, twelve fifteen to go on the fourth quarter,
Saints leading the Seahawks bay score of twenty one to fifteen. Meanwhile,
we finally had a score in that Texans Jaguars game.

(01:57:53):
Offset I handoff Pierce to the goal line. He's in
the text sends take the lead a one yard touchdown
run by Damian Pierce. W j k L A M
ten ten and ninety FM ninety two point five. Oh
excuse me, that's Texans Radio Network. I was giving the
Jaguars some plug right there. By the way, the Texans
still looking for their first win of the season, they

(01:58:14):
might get it. They have the ball back leading thirteen
six in Jacksonville right now with a minute forty one
left on the clock. And by the way, the Vikings
just won on an interception thrown by Justin Fields. I
believe that was his first of the day, but picked off,
taken and then downed immediately by the defensive back who

(01:58:35):
was running with it. And it'll be Kirk Cousins kneeling
on the football here to finish out this day for
the Minnesota Vikings. Um, so what a game? I what
what a comeback by Justin Fields in this Bears offense.
How about this? We pretty much turned off that Buccaneers
Falcons game. Falcons just scored and got a two point conversion.

(01:58:55):
It's twenty one to fifteen Buccaneers. It was twenty one
nothing going into the fourth quarter, but the Falcons have
scored twice. Uh in the fourth quarter. This latest score
was a Mariot to pass two. What is this? Zaki Zakias?

(01:59:18):
All right, I'm thank you on that one there, uh
Zakias right there in nineteen yards score and they got
the two point conversion. So four, I see a lot
of letters there. I mean, I'm like, I don't even know,
I'm gonna call him oz something like four thirty eight
to go in the fourth quarter. So yeah, we turned

(01:59:39):
that game out, saying all that games over. I mean,
Pawkins aren't doing anything, and just like that, they're back
in this one. So Tom Brady still has some work
to do in a game in which he is thirty
three or forty eight for three or thirty nine yards
and a score. Saints are moving right now trying to
hold off the Seahawks. New Orleans leads that game, and

(02:00:00):
we talked about the Chargers right now. They were looking
at a third down play coming up here rich uh
As a first down would probably put this game away,
but right now the Browns defense is gonna try to hold. Yeah.
Really nice job by Mike Williams holding onto a pass
from Justin Herbert towards the sideline there, but then also

(02:00:21):
an excellent job by the Browns defensively holding him away
from the first down marker. Jets also just gotta turnover
on downs against Miami Dolphins under three minutes to play
there in New York Jets leading thirty three seventeen. So
this looks like it's gonna be a winner in New
York for the Jets. All right. So we're at the
two minute warning now with the Chargers leading the Browns

(02:00:42):
thirty to twenty eight, and the Chargers looking at the
third down play to try to hold on the ball
and perhaps hold on to the lead. We're coming down
the stretch. Which games are gonna have the most exciting finishes?

(02:01:24):
that game twenty one fifteen. Tampa Lady in insight three
minutes to go again on the board and just took
a late leave thirty two thirty one over the Saints.
Kenneth Walker the third just racked off a fifty five
yard rush to take the lead. Late inness game, and
what do we got going on Brown's charge? All right,
So the unbelievable here. The Chargers from their own forty

(02:01:47):
five yard line went for it on fourth and one,
and they did not get the first down, giving the
fourth Well yeah, even we said yeah, but the bottom
line is they didn't get it. We are now looking
at the Cleveland Browns sixteen seconds to go, a fifty
four yard field goal attempt to give the Browns the lead,

(02:02:07):
and they look at a very nervous Brandon Stately Chargers
coach decided to go for it on fourth down. The
kick is up and the kick is no good. It
is no good, It is wide right, and the Chargers
will survive with a thirty to twenty eight victory over
the Browns. So they went for it and from their

(02:02:31):
own side of the field, giving the possibility of what
we just saw. But unfortunately for the Browns, they just
couldn't get any They had plenty of time to get
some yards. They only got ten yards on the plate
and now missed the fifty four yard field goal attempts.
So the Chargers will survive and they will beat the
Browns thirty to all right, So once again we're broadcasting

You know, post game with a win, Brandon Saley's got

(02:03:13):
a lot of questions to answer after that, because again
their own forty six yard line, fourth and one. You know,
a minute thirteen left on the clock. You give the
Browns an opportunity to win this game on a field goal.
You're only leading by two, you punt that away. I mean,
what are you telling your defense? You're telling your defense like, hey,
on a touchback, we don't trust you to defend a
long field. It's just I mean, I don't know. It's

(02:03:38):
just one of those things where those are decisions you're
forced to make as a head coach. And he came
out on the right side of this one, but he
was fifty three yards away on off the leg of
York to be very wrong about that one. By the way,
the Texans have a win. They have defeated that Jaguars
thirteen to six of the Texans are no longer winless.

(02:03:58):
All the winless teams are now eliminated. Bad loss at
home for the Jackson Remember a couple of weeks ago
they were like the hot tick in the NFL. They
blew that lead last week to the Eagles. Now lose
at home to the previously winless Texans, and the Patriots
shut out the Lions twenty nine to nothing. A Lions
team that came into this game with the highest scoring

(02:04:20):
offense in the league and they get shut out twenty
nine zip. Look, it's the Belicheck effect, right, I mean,
as bad as it looks in a lot of situations
Historically for the Patriots, they just find a way to win,
and they do so hosting the Detroit Lions. And the
story of the day for me is Bailly's happy looks

(02:04:42):
eerily like their fifteenth overall pick. Mac Jones, the same guy.
I was thinking the exact same thing, Rich. I mean,
he's efficient, he's accurate. Um didn't make any real big plays,
but didn't make any real mistakes in this game. Uh
so yeah, I mean to me, they seem interchangeable at
this point. Yeah, it's it's uh, it's an unfortunate reality

(02:05:04):
of Tassam Hill is streaking down the sideline and gets
into the touchdown for this guy, his third rushing touchdown
of the day after passing for a touchdown as well.
I didn't see the start of the play, but it
is a thirty seven ball game in New Orleans right now,
the Seahawks reeling after that rush. What happened at the

(02:05:27):
start of that one, Ryan, It was a third and one,
just a design run play, all right. So it's a
direct snap to Hill and he just runs the ball
and off he goes. Where is the defense? So third
and one, I'll explain exactly what's going on. Your safeties
are playing at eight nine yards coast line of scrimmage,
because everybody in the building, as we've said four times
already today, knows what's happening when Tassam Hill has the

(02:05:50):
ball or is lining up at quarterback, and so everybody's
playing close line of scrimmage, perfectly boxed by the offensive
wine in the running back, and one's up happening is
he makes one man miss and nobody's home behind the
safety and he just rushed what sixty plus yards for
the score? Sixty yards to be exact, by the way
Taysam Hill in this game, and you say he's listed

(02:06:11):
as a tight end in most fantasy leads, nine carries,
a hundred twelve yards, three touchdowns, one for one, passing
twenty two yards and a score. How many points is
that for Taysom Hill? Is that the most ever by
a tight end? It's gonna be a history of it's
gonna be a bad day for anybody who's on the
other side of that. And by the way, Gino Smith,

(02:06:32):
and there's still plenty of time, five twenty two to go.
Saints lead this one thirty nine to thirty two. As
they went for the two point conversion and got it,
So it's now thirty nine thirty two. Saints lead the Seahawks.
Gino Smith has had an unbelieable day sixteen sixty eight yards,
three touchdowns, no picks in this game. But it's the

(02:06:53):
Saints leading this one thirty nine to thirty two. Meanwhile,
we got the Commanders right now. What's going on? Twenty
one seventeen, Titans leading over the Washington Commanders. But the
Commanders have a firsting goal from the one yard line
against the Titans here with nineteen seconds left to play.
Titans just called the time out. And meanwhile, fifteen in
Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers kneeling on the football for a

(02:07:16):
final time, and the Falcons, after valiant effort in the
second half to get into this ball game, failed to
get close enough to compete. They dropped to two and
three on the season. The Buccaneers advanced to three and
two on the year. That's okay, the Falcons covered. It
was a ten point spread in that game, twenty one.
Nothing laid for the Buccaneers going in that fourth court

(02:07:38):
and the Falcons get inside the point spread lose that one.
Remember we had that nineteen seventeen Jets leading the Dolphins.
How about forty two seventeen Jets over the Dolphins. Now
three touchdowns in the fourth quarter for the Jets blowing
out a Dolphins team that is without their quarterback. Oh
my goodness. Alright, So firsting goal from what the one

(02:08:01):
or two yard line, Carson Wentz just drops back, nothing
doing so, he heaves one up, looks like he's just
throwing it away near a receiver and almost throws a pick.
I mean, that was two years that was a yard
away from being an interception for a Tennessee Titans defensive back.
They face second and goal here again, trailing by four,

(02:08:23):
need the touchdown. Thirteen seconds left on the clock are
the two yard line, so thirteen seconds left and they
are at a time out, so they gotta get in
the end zone here and the passes at the goal
line and it's knocked away, so six seconds to go.
They'll have a third and goal and they need a touchdown,

(02:08:46):
so at least the third and goal. Is there enough
time for to plays here? I think? So why are
they not running? I think you can't run the ball
now because they have no time out. You run a
quick out to the sideline. You'll have, you know, maybe
an unto timed down, maybe just on second left on
the clock. But they will see fourth down if they
want to, if they're smart. Wentz has to understand the
situation though, right He cannot scramble around and try to

(02:09:09):
extend the play here unless he's gonna be able to
score on his own or find someone open. Uh So, yeah,
third and goal from the two yard line, Titans holding
lead right now? All right? Wentz throws at the goal
line short of the goal intercepted, intercepted and going back
the other way, and it could go it will be

(02:09:30):
at yard line. Time runs out, and just like that,
the Titans hang on to defeat the Commanders seventeen. Carson Wentz.
Parson Wentz, I know how to describe it. He is
so consistent. He how does that happen? Are you saying
he's not clutch? No? I mean the opposite of that

(02:09:54):
was outrageous. How do you throw a pick there? How
do you throw a pick there? Throw that over the
throw that over the goal post? For crime out loud?
Just you live to survive another down? It's third down? Yeah,
well it's over in Natalie. Meanwhile, big sack by the
Saints of Geno Smith that forced a fourth down situation

(02:10:16):
with four minutes ago. Here's that Saint's latest score from
the right hash Mark Taysom Hill keeps it looks for
first time and he's got it and he's got roomed wrong.
Fifty forty thirty twenty Willy get coughf behind. That is
gonna be a touchdown, Tasom Hill to to taste of
t v w w L Saints Radio network, they edited

(02:10:38):
a two point conversion thirty nine thirty two Saints over
the Seahawks. Seahawks are forced to punt right now, The
question is can the Saints hang on. It's been an
unbelievable day for Taysom Hill run for three touchdowns through
a touchdown pass. He has been the star of the
NFL to day. All right, we will continue on going

(02:10:59):
to the finn line. Of all these games around the NFL,
we also have the forty Niners Panthers game. That game
has just started. In fact, the forty Niners have scored
first Jimmy Garoppolo a touchdown past that Tevin Coleman. So
the forty Niners are on the board first on the
road against Carolina. For all the latest, keep it right here.

(02:11:20):

(02:11:44):
then it fared right. No good. Now back live to
the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red

How do you how do you call it kick good

(02:12:05):
when it's not? I mean, wow, gotta wait, gotta wait
till the signal is you know you gotta wait for
that signal there on that long field goal. Chargers end
up winning that game by a score of thirty to
Welcome back to his Fox Sports Red Zone Radio live
from the tire IRAQ dot com studios. And the Saints

(02:12:26):
are taking a knee and it looks like this game
is over right, I mean they're taking a knee. Uh
thirty nine thirty two Saints over the Seahawks, wildly entertaining game.
Tay some Hill. Did you see this stat? So Tay
some Hill ramp for three touchdowns today through a touchdown pass.
Only one other Saint has ever done that three touchdowns rushing,

(02:12:51):
one touchdown passing. Let me guess, Reggie Bush not Reggie Busch,
it was. It's a very famous name. Hang on, let
me guess is it? I don't know who is it.
Archie Manning. Archie Manning nineteen seventies seven is the Saints

(02:13:11):
quarterback ran for three touchdowns through a touchdown pass. So
Archie Manny and taste on him. By the way Saints
ever to do that. You look at the two contemporary
Mannings and you say, these guys are basically just statues
like they can't run out of sight in a week.
You know, between Eli and Payton, Archie Manning was a
running quarterback. He was a big time athlete. Those two guys,

(02:13:33):
not nearly the athlete their father was. Although the new
Manning arch arch Manning, he's breaking all the records right now.
He's breaking n I L records in Texas. Alright, yeah, yeah.
They spend several hundreds of thousands of dollars to make
him a longhorn. So we'll see if it pans out
for him. By the way, Welcome to the Fox Sports

forty niners, they got an early score. Jimmy and the

(02:14:17):
Gun Chavin Coleman and Jimmy gonna throw it out right
to Chevin. Coleman gets a block, takes it to the
gold lode. He's in touchdown San Francisco, Can b R
forty Niners Radio Network and the forty Niners coming off
a very impressive Monday night win against the Rams. Uh.

(02:14:38):
Going a cross country today never easy, especially on a
short week. But the early seven nothing lead against the
Panthers and Baker Mayfield still in there for the Panthers
and how long? How long will he remain at court?
I guess they need to get other guys healthy before
they can replace him. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's um,
it is what it is right now. Right you know

(02:14:58):
you are you traded for Baker, so you knew he
was going to start this season. Then, like you said,
you had injuries to your other two quarterbacks. So it
is what it is until they get healthier at that position.
But yeah, Baker has been wildly underwhelming. I I expected,
I'm sure everybody expected better than what we've seen so far.
But again a late trade, uh, brand new offensive system.

(02:15:22):
I I don't think that the Carolina Panthers have really
played to his strengths. And they've trailed a lot of
games early this one included. So it's been tough sledding
for this Carolina Panthers offense. They've had a place sort
of left handed and um and it looks like those
woes continue as George Kittle just caught first down conversion

(02:15:42):
getting closer to midfield. Yeah, I mean the San Francisco
forty Niners, by the way, on the other side of
this docket, how good did they look in their last game?
They dominated the Ramps, completely dominated Rams in that game.
But again, cross country short week, uh is never easy.
But the forty Niners now with the Rams struggling, Seahawks

(02:16:06):
losing again Arizona facing an undefeated Eagles team today, the
forty Niners have a chance to start taking control today
of this NFC West. I think the Rams of the
Rams game obviously coming up this afternoon against the Bumble,
I think that was George Kittle just coughed it up
and the ball still lose. Carolina Panthers come up with it,

(02:16:29):
so it's Carolina ball. Oh my goodness, that was a
rough one. Good job by the Panthers. I didn't see
which defender made that. I think it was Wilson put
his helmet right on the football. Is George Kittle was
trying to turn up field and knocked the ball out.
So many teams are sitting at two and two. Yeah,
he just ripped the ball right out of Kittle's hands

(02:16:50):
and he took a shot to the head on top
of the UM one game coming up, I mentioned that
we only had one game this week, one with two
teams that any records. That was the game earlier today
where the Giants beat the Packers in London to move
to four and one on the season. Bengals Ravens tonight,
both the city at two and two re member. The
Bengals lost their first two, they won their last two.

(02:17:12):
Ravens are two and two this year, and you're like, wow, okay,
We've had a lot going on with these two teams,
especially at the quarterback position. You got two Heisman Trophy winners,
Joe Burrow Lamar Jackson. Both have had their moments. Lamar
Jackson at times does look like a league MVP, and
yet here they are having lost both of their home

(02:17:34):
games this year, the Ravens, and now they're hosting the
Bengals tonight. Any early feel on these teams, I mean,
I know it's early, it's only the fifth game of
the season, but you feel like in that division, somebody
starta has to take control and you've got to feel
like the winner tonight may, at least early on have
that opportunity. Yeah, I'll say this, I think we're still

(02:17:56):
waiting to see what the Bengals are. We know what
the Baltimore Ravens are. They're a team that has a
hard time closing out games at the end of games.
John Harbaugh getting criticism for his fourth down decision making uh,
and oftentimes does struggle with that. But how about this,
I I think that the Bengals. Look, I mean, they

(02:18:16):
swept the Ravens last year. I think if they can
get this offensive line unit that has been overhauled this
offseason going and getting the run game going, this could
have very least be a matchup to watch this season
as the Bengals and Ravens take each other on for
the first time. All right, uh, do we have an
intro for our very special guests right now? It's time

(02:18:43):
for the Nflox Focus. Well, one of the surprising scores
of the day, that's for sure. It's the New England
Patriots shut out a team that came in as the
highest story team in the league. That would be the
Detroit Lions via score twenty nine that they met on
the college. Jonathan Vilma is joining US right now. And
Jonathan I looked at that game yesterday as a potential

(02:19:04):
win for the Lions because I'm like, Wow, if the
Lions continue to score like they is scoring, i don't
know how New England's gonna come up with enough offense
and keep up with them. But whatever the Patriots did
defensively was right on the money. How are they able
to completely shut out the Lions today? It started up front.
It was all about the defensive line taking it to

(02:19:27):
the offensive line of the Lions. And it was surprising
because that's supposed to be the strength of the Lions.
Where you have Decker on the left, you have Stool
on the right, you had some first rounders. It was
supposed to be a very high team, very high group
who had done very well to start the season. But

(02:19:47):
the physicality, uh, and then that transferred over to you know,
jamming the tight end, Hockinson playing physical against Reynolds and
aman Ross st Brown and it just left God with
nowhere to go with the football belly. Zappi enters the
game his first NFL starts, the first rookie to throw
touchdown this season, just like we all had it on

(02:20:09):
our Bingo cards. Throws another touchdown, throws an interception, But
am I mistaken? Here? Does he look like he could
have been drafted fifteenth overall in the NFL draft because
he and Mac Jones they played very similar games? What
would you think of his performance today? Moving forward? For
the Patriots, it was really about his body language, is

(02:20:31):
poised in the pocket. Uh, complete command of the offense.
It wasn't a difficult offense, very simple with uh loaded
up with run games, UH, run schemes, excuse me? And
then you know, a couple of screens here there, And
then what I liked was as soon as unfortunately for
the Lions, their secondary started getting hurt safety cornerbacks. As

(02:20:52):
soon as they started getting hurt, that's when you saw uh,
Zappi and Belichick attack that secondary. And so it was
I believe they were being a okay with a three
nothing victory, run the ball fifty times. Uh, just so happened.
They took advantage of a depleted secondary of the Lions,
started to gain some chunkyards and then get some touchdowns.

(02:21:15):
Getting back to the Lions playing well this year but
not being able to finish games. Uh. You know. Dan
Campbell comes into this game at four sixteen and one
out four seventeen and one. But when you have a
lot of close losses like they had earlier, all three
of their losses prior to this by four points or less,
they almost seemed like a deflated team, Like suddenly you

(02:21:37):
know you're you're losing those close games, Jonathan, and then
you get a blowout loss like this. I mean, what
do you got to think about the state of mind
of this Lions team sitting at one and four right now? Well,
here's the reality. No one cares. So whatever they think
and they expect anyone to feel sorry for them, they
better get over it very quickly because if you want

(02:21:59):
to go in to next week and the week after
feeling deflated, and you'll just get blown out again. And
that's the reality of the NFL. So they need to
figure out how they're gonna come together. They're gonna execute
the game plan, frankly, be more physical when it calls
for it, and figure out how to win games. Because
if I'm playing, I hope that you come in deflated

(02:22:21):
and wanting someone to feel sorry for you, because I'll
blow you out, just like the Patriots did today. Yeah,
no question about it. A tough loss. For Detroit on
the road twenty nine nothing final, they're over the lines.
The Patriots prevailed. Jonathan awesome, stuff, will do it again soon?
Sounds good? Tyke care all right, Jonathan vilma there. Meanwhile,
the Rams just fumbled the ball and DeMarcus Lawrences ran

(02:22:44):
it back nineteen yards for a touchdown. And just like that,
the Cowboys have a six nothing lead over the Rams.
So first drive for the Rams fumble. Yeah, and it
looks like on the extra point somebody wasn't ready for
the snap. Snap came back early, the holder got hit
with the football and there was a flag on the

(02:23:06):
play as Maher went diving for it. What was that?
I'm not, First of all, what's the flag? Second of all, yeah,
what was that? I mean the literally you know how
it is where the holder is looking back at the
kicker like you're ready, waiting till he's looking like and
I'm like, you're ready to go? And meanwhile the snap
already came and it carried off his arm. So six

(02:23:29):
nothing Cowboys over the Rams. Let's find out what's trendy
right now? Is Monsey is back? That was crazy. That
was very bizarre that we almost reminded me of the
Tony Romo situation with the Cowboys. You remember, oh yes,
well he dropped that in the scramble. That's it's so good.

(02:23:51):
It's like where you were you at the game? Were
you playing? It was Angerer, the punter who was looking
back at Maher their kicker and whoever there they're short
snapper is just just fired the Alabama Arkansas game when
the snap came to the punter that was about twenty
yards to the right of the putter, and the putters say, like,

(02:24:14):
where's that going? Was that for me? Okay? Just look
so funny. By the way, Monter Rich used to do
that kind of stuff. Oh yeah, well, not like that.
He would just throw the people. He snapped how many
allany how many snaps in your thousands? Thousands? Never once
snap in high school. I was the punter. That's I
was the largest punter in Nassau County high school history.

(02:24:37):
And amazingly he was also the center. He would snap
the ball to himself and just unbelievably a one man
team kind of like Taysom Hill, right, like a one
man team for the Saints, because Taysom Hill really did
everything today for the Saints. They managed I'll score the
Seahawks thirty two earlier today. He had nine carries for
a hundred and two yards, three rushing touchdowns and a

(02:24:59):
throwing touchdown. But not just you know, bad news for
Seahawks fans. They lost for Shot Penny. He was carted
off and all we know is that he suffered a
left ankle injury. That is all that we know so far,
unfortunately for the Seahawks. Let's talk about the three games
going on right now. The Eagles and Cardinals are going
at it scoreless, but it's early, just started the game.

(02:25:20):
The Cowboys you just mentioned are up on the Rams
six zero, also early in the first quarter. And the
forty Niners they drew blood first, also early at the
start of the first quarter. They scored on the Panther
seven zero, three minutes to go in the first quarter.
It feels like it was so long ago, the game
in London, right like, it just feels like it was
another day ago. Yeah, and it probably was all right

(02:25:40):
in London time. Now. The Giants they seem to have
no jet leg as they outscored the Packers in London
twenty seven to twenty two. They held the Packers to
just two points in the second half. Daniel Jones he
threw for two seventeen yards. Say Kwan Barkley rushed for
seventeen yards and a touchdown. Aaron Rodgers in the loss,
through for two and twenty two yards and two touchdowns.
The Bills. They dominated the Steelers thirty eight to three.

(02:26:03):
The Steelers had a field goal in the first quarter
and that was it. We could have just ended the
game there. The Charger survived and beat the Browns thirty
to twenty eight after the Browns missed a fifty three
yard field goal with one minute left in the game.
Justin Herbert he threw for two hundred twenty yards and
a touchdown. But Austin Ekeler had sixteen carries for a
hundred and seventy three yards and a touchdown in the
lost Nick Chubb seventeen carries a hundred and thirty four

(02:26:25):
yards and two touchdowns. The Vikings. They held on and
outscored the Bears twenty nine to twenty two. The Patriots
shut out the Lions, who in the first four games
had a hundred and forty points. Yeah, they had zero
in this game, final score twenty nine to zero. We
also had the Titans, who held off the Commanders twenty
one to seventeen. Carson Wentz for Washington in the loss.

(02:26:45):
Three hundred and fifty nine yards and two touchdowns had
a passer rating of one or two point nine one
are the highest ones of the day so far. The
Jets won fourteen to seventeen on the Dolphins, scoring twenty
one points in the fourth quarter alone. Miami had some issues. First,
they lost Teddy Bridgewater. He was taking down in the
edge in the end zone with the head and elbow injury,
went into concussion protocol. Brookie seventh round pick Skyler Thompson

(02:27:09):
took over. They also lost left tackle Torn Armstead and
Tyreek Kill exited the game in the fourth quarter with
a foot injury. Then we had the Bucks who held
on and they beat the Falcons twenty one to fifteen.
Falcon scoreless through three quarters and scored fifteen points in
the fourth quarter alone. Gave a little scare, but the
Bucks held on. And the Texans they beat the Jaguars
thirteen to six. A kind of a boring game, but hey,

(02:27:30):
a win is a win. Back to you, guys. Mon's
great job. As let's hear that Cowboys score Stafford is
under center on third and one and plays like the
Brownies rust and he sacked and the ball came him
out and Dallas picks it up his lawence coming left
to the five and into the end zone and it
looks like a Dallas touchdown Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, and

(02:27:55):
it's another turnover for Matthew Stafford. Uh. By the way,
it's three for three passing this game. But this has
been a problem for the Rams early on in this season.
As Matthew Stafford he has more interceptions and touchdown passes.
He's been fumbling the ball. Everyone insists that he's healthy,
but his offense isn't healthy right now. No, definitely not.

(02:28:18):
I think it has everything to do with the offensive
line issues up front. Obviously, they lose Andrew Whitworth due
to retirement at the end of last season, and they
lost some players up front in the interior offensive line.
Three new start agency and today they have three news starters.
But this has not been the same group even since
the started season. Every single game they've played, they've had

(02:28:41):
to reshuffle the deck, adding new players into the interior
offensive line or shifting down a tackling to the interior,
moving guards over to play center. He has not been
well protected this year. Alright, on their opening drive of
the game, Arizona had to punt and the Eagles have
the ball already in Arizona territory or a. Jalen Hurts

(02:29:01):
early in this game, four of six and fifty yards passing.
Are we talking about Jalen Hurts in the m v
P conversation, Well, of course we are. Jalen Hurts is
inarguably the best quarterback in the league right now. If
you look at it statistically, he is. It's just as
simple as that. And so they're four no football team

(02:29:21):
and they have the best operating statistical quarterback in the league.
He's the m v P until proven otherwise. That's the
way it works. The only reticence people have is they're
just not buying the hype yet. Is it sustainable? Well,
it is if he keeps playing like this and the
Eagles are real on defense, They have an offensive line
who does a great job in the run and pass game.

(02:29:43):
He does an excellent job in the run and pass game,
and what I mean by that is making good decisions
whether to run or throw the football, extending plays, etcetera.
And he's a part of the run game because they
call his number on some of these zone reads and
planned QB runs, especially where they are in the low
red zone. Right now at the nine yard line of
Arizona Cardinals, facing a third and seven here, single back situation. Here,

(02:30:08):
trips right and Jellen Hurts looking to the sideline for
his motion man, which is his tight end. Yeah, and
Bass passes complete, so they are close to first down there. Meanwhile,
in a third and ten, Matthew Stafford throwing deep, way
too deep, incomplete, So the Rams down six and at
the end of the Cowboys are gonna have to punt

(02:30:29):
the ball. And as I mentioned at so Far Stadium,
the home of the Super Bowl champion rams uh it
is right now run over by Cowboy fans. Okay, so
the Eagles were facing a fourth and one from the
three yard line, Jellen Hurts just able to QB sneak
it for everything he needed and more. They're down at

(02:30:51):
the one yard line, first in goal, and the Cowboys
have picked up a punt block and they will have
the ball deep and Rams territory. That was just a
flush block and you can see all the look at
the Cowboy fans have taken over so far stadium. They're
going nuts right there. Oh oh, back to back QB

(02:31:13):
sneaks and Jellen Hurts with a little help from his friends,
crosses the plane and we have an early score in Arizona,
six nothing Eagles. Look at this punt block right here,
right up the middle boom. That was gorgeous and Armstrong
able to scoop his own block. It looks like, yeah,
he just went straight up the A gap. Who's the
center on that didn't even offer any resistance at all. Well,

(02:31:38):
I'm really cutious, and they're not supposed to touch the
snapper until his head comes up. That was close there,
but he blew right by him and him first then
yard line and wow, I'll tell you what short week
for the Rams. And after that horrible loss of the
forty niners, a Monday rough start against the Cowboys team
that again try to keep pace in this NFC. Easy

(02:32:02):
got the undefeated Eagles on the board seven nothing early
lead against the Cardinals. They're undefeated. Giants win today there
four in one right now. At least they have Carson
Wentz in their division. That at least gives the son
somewhat of a breather. But right now, golden opportunity for
the Cowboys to really jump on this and Cooper rush.
It's been unbelievable. Uh, he has not lost the game

(02:32:25):
as the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, reno as
a starter here after DAC and the Boys lose the opener. Um.
He's been incredible this season. Well, I shouldn't say incredible. Look,
he's a nine plus rating quarterback as a starter's four No,
he's six touchdowns, one interception. He's consistent, He's that's Jimmy Garoppolo. Yes,

(02:32:46):
thank you, Yes, he's Kirk Cousins. He's Jimmy Garoppolo. He's
a guy who's absolutely wins games, exactly right. It's it's
amazing because there's so many Cowboy fans. There's so desperate
to win. I mean, let's face it, bloys haven't haven't
even been in a conference championship games. I really like
what you just said there because I I I stand corrected.

(02:33:08):
I mentioned Kirk Cousins because talent wise, he'll remind me
of a Kirk Cousins, but clutch wise, clutch wise, he
reminds me more of a Jimmy g Look is he
gonna blow you away with his arm strength. And now
I mean, is he Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, any of
those guys know. He's not even near the elite class
of the NFL. He does nothing spectacularly well, but he

(02:33:29):
knows who he is. He plays within his game, and
he's clutch. He's clutch, a'll win in prime time. Look
Dallas Cowboys, what they need as a quarterback who's not
gonna lose them football games. It's a really good defense
their ball Hawks. Defensively, they have arguably the best defensive
player on their defense and Michael Parsons. So they just
need a guy who can hand the football off and
not throw interceptions. And when you gotta have it, find

(02:33:52):
Ceedee Lamb. And that's exactly what he does. Cooper Rush
is a very stable secondary pitch to your Dak Prescott,
who's recovering still from a fractured thumb. And it may
take a while all right. By the way, Jimmy Garoppolo
so far as eight of two yards in a touchdown
forty lead the Panthers by a score of seven and nothing.
Third and five, right now, four the Cowboys, And this

(02:34:15):
I can already tell you what happens on this play
before it happens. Oh, because you're watching the red zone, Chanel,
I'm duessing it doesn't go well. Yeah, it looks like
they're gonna go for a field goal attempt. Cowboys lead
the Rams by a score of six nothing. We continue on,
keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we got the

(02:34:39):
place that you may admits her snakes again and we
are looking he had a funnel touchdown her sleep store
fun Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox rets Own Radio. That was w i

(02:35:05):
P Eagles Radio Network. Eagles with the early seven nothing
lead over the Arizona Cardinals. Welcome back. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio live from the ti iraq dot
Com studios. You want to thank our guys today. Iowa Sam,
who is letting his hair grow out a little bit more. Hey,

(02:35:26):
you know I get a haircut like once every six months. Yes,
the curls are flying around. Yeah, it's like it's like
I was gonna say, it's like you seated the cheap Yes,
I think it's working. It's okay. We've we've seen a
much bigger throw the grow lights on that sucker. Monsey
who was looking for her phone earlier today found her phone,

(02:35:48):
and uh, she has been lights out all show long.
So Montery keeping us on top of all those scores
mony great. Uh. And then of course there's Ryan are brilliant,
pretty sir who delivers the guests, gives his eyes on
all the games. By the way, speaking of the games
at well, just got a fifty four yard pass from

(02:36:10):
Matthew Stafford. Now that was a beautiful pass. Stafford the
prime right on the money, trying to get the Rams
back in this game, spotting the Cowboys an early nine
nothing lead on a fumble return for a touchdown and
then a blocked punt that led to a Cowboys um
field goal. The Cowboys only have five total yards in

(02:36:31):
this game, but they have a nine nothing lead over
the Rams, who now have a third and ten at
the Cowboys eleven yard line. And you feel like the
Rams just needs a spark right now and they're not
gonna get it. That is incomplete. Stafford throws the ball
and it was not catchable. You know what I'm gonna

(02:36:51):
say right now that a lot of people really have
trouble saying, is Jalen Hurts is this league's MVP. We're
just talking about this, but I was just thinking about
it more. What if Mahomes, what if Alan, what if Jackson?
What if Brady were playing like Jalen Hurts right now
and their team too was undefeated four now, Nobody would

(02:37:15):
have any problems saying Josh Allen's m VP right now.
Nobody would have any problems saying Lamar Jackson or Patrick
Mahomes or Tom Brady or even Aaron Rodgers name, because
it's easy to say those names. What do you think
it's about Jalen Hurts game that people have such a
hard time accepting what they're seeing. He passes the eyeball
to rich You and I've been doing the shows all

(02:37:36):
the way back to Jalen Hurts days at Alabama. Oh yeah,
you know. I've always been a Jalen Hurts fan. And
I go back to the year he got benched, benched
after two years as a starting quarterback. What he lost
one game as a starting quarterback at Alabama, got benched
in favor to a tongue of Iloa transferred Oklahoma runner
up for the Heisman Trophy there in one year. I've
always been a Jalen Hurts fan. The question I kept

(02:37:58):
having to all the people in the know is is
there a ceiling on how good he can get in
the NFL? And for those that said there was, they're
wrong because this year he has taken it to another level,
completing sixties of his passes this year, obviously doing it
on the ground as well. He's putting up Lamar Jackson

(02:38:20):
type numbers and it's translating more importantly in two wins.
And this is the thing about Jalen Hurts. He's been
a winner throughout his career. I like guys. The thing
that impresses me when I hear Jalen Hurts interview and
everything else. He has a certain presence, he has a
certain command. You can understand why he is a natural
born leader. And that's what he's showing right now with

(02:38:43):
this Eagles team. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, the guy has
an undefeated record in the NFL. I mean, shoot, we're
looking at this game on the other side of the docket.
It's a two and two Kyler Murray. If Kyler Murray
had Jalen Hurt stats this season and the car Rolls
went into this game four, no, everybody would be trumpeting

(02:39:03):
Murray m v P. Murray m v P. Look, I
get it, he's faster. I I know he has a
bigger arm. I The list goes on in terms of talent.
But we know this because Tom Brady has never been
the most talented quarterback in the NFL. Not a single
season he's been in the league has he been the
most talented quarterback. He's been the winningest almost always, right,

(02:39:28):
he's been one of the best in terms of the
whole situational parameters of being a starting quarterback. A lot
more goes into this than just looking good playing the position.
Jellen Hurts is this league's m v P until proven otherwise.
All Right, So the Eagles off with the seven that
they lead the forty Niners added a field goal. They
lead the hapless and I mean hapless, uh Carolina Panthers

(02:39:50):
right now ten and nothink. Jimmy Garoppolo is off to
great star Jeff Wilson has forty eight yards on the ground.
So they're doing a number on this Panthers team that
you just watch Baker Mayfield just trying to make plays
and he's throwing the ball out of bound. So that's
that's not gonna get it done. I. Meanwhile, we'll see
if the Cowboys actually have some offense. They haven't required any.
Nine to three. The Cowboys lead the Rams on a

(02:40:13):
fumble return for a touchdown, then a block punt that
led to a Cowboys field goal. Rams did settle for
that field goal, but Cooper Rush is over two that
would be zero yards. Zeke Elliott has five yards rushing,
so we'll see. Uh. And again it's a packed house,
that's so far, but you're not seeing as many Ram
fans as Cowboys fans. Yeah. Yeah, if you don't know

(02:40:34):
this southern California, because the Cowboys have trained in Southern
California for so many years. There are so many Cowboys
fans ox Snard. They've been there forever well actually they
were in Thousand Oaks back in the top but now
currently in ox Start and people show up in droves
for Dallas is training camp practices. So yeah, this is
at very least a bowl game set up where it's

(02:40:56):
about fifty fifty if not tipping in the favor of
the Cooper Rush led Dallas Cowboys who are leading nine
three in l A. Still plenty more NFL actually coming up.
For everything you need to know, keep it right here.
