You're listening to Fox Sports. Yes, leaving that drain once
again here on a fabulous NFL Sunday. This is Fox

We are ready to kick off eight NFL games right now.
Here's the Rundown forty Niners at the Falcons, Patriots at
the Browns, Jets at the Packers, Jaguars at the Colts,
Vikings at the Dolphins, Bengals at the Saints, Ravens at
the Giants, and the Buccaneers are in Pittsburgh to take

(00:43):
on the Steelers and Rich Here we go. Another big
day in the NFL is the first bye week. We
have four teams off this week, so we got eight
instead of like nine games normally at this time. And
unlike last week, I really like these matchups this morning. Yeah,
matchups are good, they're important, and we'll get into all
of them. And yeah, that's an important Uh, that's an

(01:06):
important distinction here. As we're getting into the middle of
this season, you gotta start looking at your fantasy lineup
before day of, you know, to make sure they make
some trades, some acquisitions on the waiver wire, to make
sure that your kicker isn't on a bye Hold on there,
I know there's somebody listening. There's a bye week. Yeah.
These are the four teams not playing Lions, Titans, Raiders, Texans. Lions, Titans, Raiders, Texans.

(01:31):
They're not playing this week. So if you got any
your fantasy players on those teams, get them off now
before these games kick off any second. So eight games
around the NFL. Boy, there's a lot going on. You know,
yesterday was a big day in college football. Did you
watch any of that Tennessee Alabama game? Oh what a
game that was. How about Tennessee about high at five

(01:52):
touchdown passes or uh oh oh yeah, yeah. The Tennessee
receiver Todown, he's incredible. I thought you were talking about
Henn and Hooker through the five test. Unbelievable, unbelievable day
for him because again the Heidsman hype is starting to
get real. Oh absolutely, and undefeated Tennessee team. You beat Alabama.

(02:12):
You're in the mix. You want to say like, Okay,
well it's gonna be the Ohio State kid, no question.
But what what what? Whoa not? So I got Blake
corn Or running back in Michigan in the mix. And
of course dtry there ain't Thompson was off this week.
He's been there for a decade. By the way, and
by the way, the crowd in Utah last night for
that USC game, how about the officials They couldn't even

(02:34):
hear anything last night and uh there they were making
war with Carl So a big day in college football
and now we're kicking off a big day around the
NFL and of course major League Baseball. We only have
one series left in the Division round that is the
Yankees and the Guardians, as the Podres eliminated the Dodgers
last night. So a lot of things going on in
the sports world are focused though here on Fox Sports

(02:56):
Red Zone Radio is what's happening, uh in the NFL,
and we mentioned some of the games are gonna be
focused in on today the Buccaneers and the Steelers. Steelers
are one and four. We talked about the fact that
Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season as the
head coach of the Steelers, which I would think makes
this game today an absolute must game for Pittsburgh at home.

(03:19):
By the way, Tom Brady and his career, I believe
against the Steelers has some ridiculous numbers. Remember, of course
they used to be in the a f C. Together.
I think it's like thirty four touchdowns, five interceptions. So
we'll see how the Bucks do and who would have
thought as far as record is concerned, to match up.
But the day is the Ravens at the Giants are

(03:39):
the Giants for real? While we were just talking about Tennessee, uh,
and we found out yesterday that indeed they are. If
you can beat a Crimson Tide, doesn't matter where, uh,
Tuscaloosa or Rocky Top, if you beat them, you're real.
If you can beat the Baltimore Ravens, you're real. You're
real team. It's a great defense. This offense is dynamic,

(03:59):
it's versatile, it's dangerous, it's explosive. They have players at
every single skill position. They have a good offensive line.
So if the Giants match up and they somehow slay
this Dragon, you gotta take this team seriously. They they
somehow found a way, and I say it this way
for now, they somehow found a way to beat the
Packers last week. Right, We're not gonna be saying they

(04:21):
somehow found a way to beat the Ravens. This week.
We're gonna say the Giants are real. They just beat
two of the teams that at the beginning of the
season we were talking about postseason and maybe a little
bit more even and and and you gotta take Brian
day Ball and this staff and what they've been able
to do in a year's time very seriously. All right,
So what kind of hods could you have before the
season that going into Week six of the NFL season,

(04:43):
the Jets and Giants combined would be seven and three.
Speaking of the Packers, by the way, the problems continue.
Aaron Rodgers just threw a pass out towards the sideline,
bounced off his receiver, Sauce Gardener, who's had an amazing
rookie season at the ground, just took it to the
house for a touch. Oh did they take it off
the board? Well, they're they're reviewing that play. Okay, that

(05:06):
past look like it's skipped off the ground. Now if
the replace shows that hit off the receiver's hand never
hit the ground, then we gotta pick six. But the
Jets are three and two, by the way, they have
not lost a road game. Huge underdogs on the road
against the Packers today. But right now they have posted
an interception return for the Jets. But the play is
being reviewed. Okay, yeah, yeah, they're at break right now.

(05:27):
It'll be green Bay's ball when action continues on their
opening drive of this game in green Bay. By the way,
but that is a huge, huge and crucial moment for
the start of that game. They're right now, as you
said under review, what an insane start. I mean, we're
already seeing some action here, buddy, Well, we are seeing action.
And again we're at that point of the season where

(05:48):
you look at teams like the Giants, like the Jets,
who have winning records. Are they for real? Another team
is the Dolphins, who once again are gonna be without
two a tongue of Eloa their home against the Vikings,
just trying to get themselves back on track. Can they
get it done against a Viking team that is also
one of those teams sitting alone atop the NFC North

(06:09):
Right now? Are the Vikings for real? Kevin O'Connell. Is
he changed this Viking dynamic. Look, They've got, you know,
the best wide receiver in the NFL, Justin Jefferson, right,
I mean, the guy is at the top of the
mountain right now. But are they the best team right
now in the NFC North? Yes? Yes, I mean, I
mean if you just look at record and you look

(06:32):
at what the Packers look like last week. I mean
I say that with a question mark tagged on it
because I feel very similarly about the Vikings as they
do about the New York Giants. Um. In fact, I'm
more comfortable saying that I trust the Vikings more because
their roster is more complete. If you look at the Giants,
like who is Daniel Jones throwing the football to, the
answer is I don't know, I don't know. But they're

(06:53):
finding ways to win well. They have se Kwon Barkley.
That helps a lot. That helps a lot. But in
today's and fell I mean, you you better keep say
Kwan Barkley healthy if you're going to have a chance.
That's been the mode for the Tennessee Titans for years
with Derrick Henry. We'll see if it works out for
the Giants, But the Vikings have players everywhere. So if
you're ask me like between the Giants and say the

(07:16):
Vikings who I trust more? Absolutely the Vikings and Kevin O'Connell.
You gotta give him as Roses. The guy has completely
gentrified this offense. It looks vastly different year over year. Alright,
So the uh, the the pick six was reversed and
so the Packers just punted to the Jets. So still
no score in that game opening series Falters. They are

(07:38):
able to get the punt off, but geez, oh man,
Aaron Rodgers and this receiving corps have not been on
the same thing. And you can see the frustration building
in Aaron Rodgers a young group. Um. And and really,
let's make the comparison because it's apt um. This is
what Tom Brady went through at the end of his
tenure with the Patriots. You you remember, you heard the

(08:01):
grumblings of Tom wants better skill position players that haven't
done a good job drafting wide receivers. They tried it
out with then kill Harry out of a s U
in the first round did not work out. And so eventually,
with all of the past history, he decides instead of
resigning what he looked at as not the deal he
was interested in signing with the Patriots. I'm gonna move

(08:22):
on to greener pastors with the Buccaneers and win a
Super Bowl. And he did and that very much So
could be the case with Aaron Rodgers if things don't
get right fast. All right, Dolphins had the ball right
now against the Vikings. Skyler Thompson is starting quarterback today. Uh,
as far as to a tongue of LA, he's been cleared,
but he is not playing this week, did not suit

(08:43):
up this week. He'll probably if there's no further complications,
be back at quarterback next week. So this kid gets
an opportunity, the rookie, Skyler Thompson. And by the way,
just scrambled for a first down, so showing that he's
got some legs. H. He has a lot of movements,
but and they execute. I was talking yesterday with Shannon Spake,

(09:04):
she's doing the sidelines, uh, talking about the demeanor of
Mike McDaniel and as he gets ready for this, you know,
these last couple of weeks, I mean, the guy was
the toast of the NFL three weeks in. He's been
big teams. What's his mindset, And she said her first
meeting with him is the fact that this guy is
gonna say what's on his mind. Oh, no, doub Yeah,
he's just a straightforward guy. Uh, and he's just gonna

(09:27):
say exactly what his mind. It's been a very challenging
a couple of weeks, not just because of the injury
to tongue of Bolo, but the controversy's surrounding why was
he still in that game against Buffalo? Why did you
bring him back? And all this? So, Uh, Miami just
trying to hold it together until two comes back and
there's another first down, so at least out of the box,
Thompson has thrown the ball extremely well. Yeah, he finds

(09:49):
his tight end, get sicky on over the middle throw
and this was a beautiful throw. And they've they've leaned
on him to throw a bunch early in this game.
Look when he came in in real leave for Teddy Bridgewater,
who is filling in for the injury to a tongue
Volo before his own concussion. Uh, he looked out of
sorts like a third string quarterback typically does. But there

(10:10):
are talented receivers all over this offense. You mentioned Hill Gaziki,
one of the league's best receiving tight ends, and he
just found them found him there on a very tight
window throw and he looks comfortable running this Miami Dolphins offense.
Charlotte's Webb is the world's most trusted HEMP extract founder

It is a touchdown pass Andy Dalton Kwan tra Kwon

(10:53):

an early seven nothing lead against the Bengals, just kick back, enjoy.
We'll bring you everything in the NFL Big Sunday eight
games going on right now. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've

(11:15):
got the place that you may admits. Saints got a
first down eight team yard line, shockdown right Hash Dalton
to throw Dous row near side. That is gonna be
a touchdown. Touch ray Kuon Smith. That's how you do it.
Bing bang boon, tray Kuon Smith. Touchdown. Now back live

(11:37):
to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio. That's w w L Saints Radio Network.
Saints were the early seven nothing lead over the defending
a f C champion Cincinnati Bengals. Welcome back to Fox

Falcons with an early seven nothing laid over the forty niners.
Steelers are feeling good. Steelers second dawn of goal from

(12:23):
the Bucketeers six yard live shotgun look dropping back three
steps under pressure, gets to pass away easy pickings touchdown.
Lachie Harris w d V one or two point five FM.
Steelers Radio Network. They had the seven nothing lead against
the Buccaneers. Rich Yeah, you know, and this, uh, this
lead for the Falcons. I'm looking at that game. The
most because they think coming off of their most recent meeting,

(12:45):
the forty Niners feeling pretty good about themselves, pretty pumped
up after after a big win against the Rams, huge
blowout victory over the Panthers. But they're banged up. They're
banged up, and so they're susceptible for a law US here,
especially on the road, second week back to back, going
across the country for a road trip. And Arthur Smith

(13:07):
is a good coach. I understand the Falcons haven't done
a ton of living winnings since he's been the head
coach there, but I think he does a good job
of playing to his players abilities, finding a way to
orchestrate an offense that matches the talent he has on
the roster. And certainly the offense has been up for
the challenge. Defense been pretty good this season too. This
is gonna be a dog fight for the forty Niners. Yeah.

(13:28):
There's a lot of teams coming into this week, either
three and two or two and three. Yeah, and so
you're trying to, you know, get yourself. If you're two
and three, fine, you're you're in the mix, but you
gotta start winning some games. You go two and four,
two and five, and suddenly you're out of the playoff mix.
So some critical games or teams sitting at two and three. Meanwhile,
Skyler Thompson is throwing some really good passes for this

(13:48):
Dolphins team right now, still knows score six twenties to
go in the first quarter, Dolphins two and oh at home,
but there without two a ton of violoa going against
a four one Vikings team and the rookies. Skyler Thompson
is finding as receivers. Yeah he is right now, it's
still early three or five passing, but he's thrown some
good good shots over the middle of get sick. He

(14:09):
found Wattle on this corner route. He had to elevate
a little bit, but it was an on target pass.
And that's all you can ask for is when your
backup comes in, let alone your second backup, which Skyler
Thompson is filling him for an injured Teddy Bridgewater, who's
filling him for an injured uh to a tongue of voloa.
You need to have him be able to capably run
the offense. And in two series so far, I'm liking

(14:31):
what I'm seeing. Plus, it doesn't hurt when you have
a running back get you a first down on first
and ten, so Raheem must start uh, just able to
find an edge and this this offensive line for the
Dolphins opening up holes early against the talented Vikings defense.
Kenny Pickett been a big story in Pittsburgh as he

(14:51):
is now the starting quarterback at the team off to
a great start in this game against Tampa. Five for
five thirty seven yards through that touchdown pass the nag Harris,
so he has one run for ten yards on the
other side. I'm anxcess to see what the Tampa Bay
game plan has been because the last two weeks it's
all been Tom Brady, throw the ball, throw the ball,
throw the ball. Right now, Brady's three is six twenty

(15:12):
eight yards, but Leonard for Nett already has four carries
for twenty two yards. So it looks like, at least initially,
Tampa trying to get a little more balanced in their offense. Yeah,
like you said, it's been the Tom Brady show. In
that victory over the Falcons, which was controversial because on
that that roughing the passer call, I mean that really
perturbed an opportunity for the Atlanta Falcons to have any

(15:34):
sort of success. But Tom Brady in that game through
fifty two passes, right, fifty two passes. Now, look, I
mean for a young quarterback, just because of the offensive
game plan, you would say, well, that's not a strategy
to win, um, because you're throwing the football too much,
just from an offensive scheme standpoint. Now, for a forty
five year old man helming the quarterback position, you may

(15:57):
wear out his arm before the end of the season,
especially since he's coming off the season where he threw
more passes than anybody in the NFL, which, by the way,
over the past two weeks. Because I just look back
on that Kansas City Chiefs game, he's throwing a hundred
four passes in the past two weeks. Well, it's not
happening today. Six passes, five runs looking in the end zone,

(16:17):
incomplete pass for Tampa. So they're in the red zone
right now, trailing the Steelers by a score of seven
nothing new. England got an early field goal, uh in
their game against the Cleveland Browns three nothing. Pats both
these teams again two and three, right, I mean they're
both sitting there like, okay, are we gonna make a
season of it? Bailey Zappy still at quarterback, for the

(16:39):
Patriots off to a good start. He's three or five
for fifty three yards. Jacobie Prisette just trying to hold
it down. He's thrown an interception in this game. You
know that this team still relies very much on the
running game. Nick Chubb leading the NFL and rushing right now,
but you get a sense, I mean, these teams are
almost equal, right New England Cleveland are either one of

(17:00):
these teams gonna be postseason down this year. It's so
hard to tell. Early on, you give a slight edge
to New England because they've just found a way to
manufacture wins relying on their defense and helping along their
offense over the years, that's been the strategy. The Cleveland
Browns are looking to have a boost week uh, week twelve,
when when they get their starting quarterback in the game

(17:24):
for the first time and that guy they just had
another Civil Seeds lady against them, Deshaun wat doesn't sound
like it's slown down the Cleveland brown strategy of getting
him on the field as soon as possible, and I
feel like nothing's ever happened. Yeah, um, but but yeah,
similar similarities between these two franchises. Both you know you
have backup quarterbacks just trying to keep the thing afloat,
waiting for the starter to find his way back to

(17:46):
the active roster, and in the meantime, relying heavily on
the defense. Cleveland, it's been the same story as the
New England Patriots starting Belly Zappy. So we'll see. And
by the way, I gotta say this because I tweeted
it out a week ago or two weeks ago when
he came into the for the first time, I don't
see a hell of a lot of difference between Zappi
and Mac Jones. Now that doesn't mean that when Max

(18:07):
healthy he won't be back in the huddle, but he
he is at very least a comparable quarterback to what
we saw in Mac Jones over the past couple of
weeks and and certainly over last season. I'm not saying
there's a quarterback controversy. I think they go back to
mac Jones when he's healthy, whenever that is. But I've
been impressed, let's put it that way, with zapp He's

(18:29):
been able to do all right the Browns of answers.
So they've tied the game with a field goal three three. Meanwhile,
the Jaguars right now, have a third and goal at
the Colts one yard line. No score early in that game,
four minutes ago in the first quarter. And do we
have a touchdown Trevor Lawrence on a QB sneak. I
mean it was he was good by a yard or two.

(18:49):
So yeah, Jacksonville strikes first in that game. It'll be
a seven nothing game in Indianapolis if they attack on
the extra point. All right. By the way, welcome to

since last week? No? But I was at a barbecue
restaurant last night, so I managed to have some spare ribs.
But I'm not cooking them these days too. Busy Tampa Bay.
By the way, just tax on and field goal after

(19:33):
drive that faltered in the red zone. So it's now
seven three. Pittsburgh Steelers leading in that one against the Buccaneers.
Jets and Packers still no score in this game. Zach
Wilson one of three for six yards, Aaron Rodgers one
of three for ten yards. Neither offense doing anything at
the outset of this game. In fact, right now, Green

(19:53):
Bay with eight minutes ago in the first quarter, have
four yards of offense, and it they are struggling. It
sets up to be a defensive battle. I mean, if
you look at both of these teams. Yeah, the offense
for the Jets has come come up recently, but both
of them are really relying on their defenses. The Green
Bay Packers offense hasn't been very good, hasn't been very

(20:14):
sound this season, and so what wins they have have
been a result of their defense really bailing them out.
And the Jets, that's the type of team that Robert
Sala wants. He wants to have a fearsome defense and
a good enough offense, and so far it's been an
effective strategy for them. Let's find out what's trending right now.
Coming up on the other side, we're gonna get a
preview of that Panthers Rams game. Mark Sanchez gonna be

(20:37):
joining us. Bryan Finley is in the house. What's going on, guys.
I'm still on a high from last night seeing the
San Diego Padres knock out the Dodgers. All fellows, I mean,
Sadie Aigans here. I have shared the story with Rich,
but going back to the last time that the Padres
were in the league Championship Series, it was broadcasting in

(20:58):
San Diego at the time, and I said that place
was nuts. Rich was at the game Friday at peck
Up and I kept telling me, you won't believe how
loud it gets in Sandy and then you experience it. Yeah. Look,
I played for the Chargers and so I know an
enthusiastic crowd can sound can sound big, can sound loud,
but when you're playing, you block it out when you're
in the stadium in the ballpark. Unbelievable. Yeah, Goose bumps,

(21:22):
big win over the Dodgers. First series they won against
the Dodgers in the only one that matters. Yeah, Goose bumps.
Edie Goose made its appearance in this series. By the way, Hey,
no Chargers in San Diego anymore. But as we focus
on the NFL and what's happening as Rich and he
pointed out Trevor Lawrence ran into touchdown, so the Jaguars

(21:42):
are on the board against the Colt seven nothing inside
four minutes ago in the first quarter, the first of
what is eight games on this first slate, first window
of NFL contests, also New Orleans, the Saints Eddie Dalton
has a touchdown throw and they are enjoying a seven
and nothing lead against it. Inincinnati, Bengals, that one also
is late in the first quarter. Giants and Ravens scoreless

(22:05):
or not. Not a whole lot happening there, while the
Patriots and Browns have traded field goals. It's three all
to twelve left in the opening quarter. Marcus Mariotta starting
out strong, six for six through the air, seventy one yards,
one touchdown which was a past to Michael Pruitt, and
it's seven to nothing. Falcons over the forty nine. Is

(22:27):
one of the games that's seen on Fox Television. Sauce
gard As the guys were mentioning how that pick six
taken back. They found that the ball hit the ground
before it was crowded by him, and because of that,
the Jets and Packers are in a bit of a
meat grinder. Here. Not a whole lot going on offensively
from either side. And of course Aaron Rodgers that right

(22:49):
thumb lots to to think about. He doesn't have any
tape on it, but seemed to be sort of favoring
it and shaking it out in warmups, So we'll see
how that goes with him as this game goes on.
The Dolphin and Vikings are without points as well. We
do have yet a great performance so far from Skyler Thompson,
who's coming in as the third quarterback for Miami, and

(23:12):
as you guys mentioned, good things happening from him, but
no offense in in terms of points to show far.
And I'll leave you with this guy's before I send
it back to you. Kenny Pikett has a touchdown throw
to naj Harris and so he has been in command
of this offense for the Steelers against the Tampa Bay Bucks,
who didn't get that Ryan suck Up field goal. But

(23:33):
at seven to three Steelers to thirteen left in the
first quarter, there are three out of the eight games scoreless,
five of them have points, so so much to monitor here,
and what is sort of like the air traffic control
center here with eight games happening simultaneously. First way to
a NFL action with that, Let's get it back to

(23:54):
Rich Ornberger and Steve Hartman. Well, Brian, thank you very much.
Ye have very very different from a week ago where
we had just this floory off scoring early on in
these games. Right now, defenses are controlling things. Let's get
ready for a preview of a game coming up a
little bit later on today, It's time for the NFL

(24:17):
Fox Focus. Yeah, that game is the Panthers at the Rams,
two teams looking for answers right now, joining us he
will be covering that game for Fox Fox NFL analysts
or Buddy Mark Sanchez is join us once again. Mark,
We always appreciate you joining us here on Fox Red
Zone Radio. So wow, uh, you have a Panthers team
that just fired Matt Rule. You have a defending Super

(24:40):
Bowl champion team that seems completely discombobulated right now with
losing record at two and three. I mean, who's the
bigger question Mark right now heading into this game today. Well,
it's awesome to be back with you guys, Stevie. I'm
doing great, Mark, and I miss you, Toss you man,

(25:02):
I miss you. Uh No, honestly it's a it's a
huge game for the Rams, and here's the reason, right Like,
you got to look at the big picture. For them,
the most important thing is they've got to get to
three and three before the bye week. They got the
bye week coming up, and right after that, they get
their center back, they get Troy Hill back, they'll get

(25:24):
Van Jefferson back, so the cavalry is coming helps on
the way. They got a chance after this and they're
gonna be playing basically for first place in the division
right after the bye week. But they need their guys
back up front. Offensive line, it's been tough. It's been
a struggle. They've had four or five different versions of

(25:47):
starting lineups. And when you have that kind of inconsistency
up front, Matt Stafford's now looking like he used to
look in Detroit before he came out here. You know,
he's on his back all the time, and so it's
it makes life really hard when they can't keep the
quarterback up right, when they can't get the run game going.

(26:08):
But a lot of that will change when they get
their guys back. And then you look on the other
side and you have the Panthers, who look a lot
of discord when the head coach gets fired midseason, Steve
Wilkes takes over. How composed do they look heading into
this Sunday matchup? Well, here's the deal. Their defense, Their
defense is solid. You know they've drafted well, uh got

(26:29):
a couple of guys banged up right now, chin uh J. C.
Horne Like, there's some guys that are banged up, but
that defensive line to really go now. And that's to me,
the Rams are facing a hornet's nest, you know, and
they got to knock that thing off, the off the
shingles quickly and get rid of it, because if they

(26:50):
let this team hang around, you're gonna get stung way
too many times. And you let this team hang around
the way Atlanta did, the way some of these other
teams have. You got to put him away early, keep
him away, don't give him any life. And uh, it's
it's interesting because p. J. Walker coming in, he's gonna
be a part of the run game with the zone

(27:13):
reen Um, you know, he's gonna move the pocket. They're
gonna have a chance and it's gonna look a lot
like that Atlanta game plan in my opinion. Yeah, you know,
yesterday Adam Kaplan, our Fox Sports Radio NFL insider joined us,
and I was asking him, like, what does the future
look like for the Panthers. He goes, if they have
a quarterback, this is a nine or ten win team.

(27:34):
They have that. And right now, Christian mckenn is, you know,
he's got over huney yards, some scimmage and four games
this season. So what is going on with Baker Mayfield? Here?
Mark uh Man, He's having a rough go And it's
it's always tough when you when you show up that late.
You know, you don't get training camp. You got to

(27:55):
just jump in. That's not easy, right, learning the playbook
doing that. Okay, fine, However, this team, they got plenty
of talent, Like I mean, they're shopping McCaffrey right now,
but in my opinion, they need to go watch the
Giants games, right because the New York Giants know, Hey,
the one guy we can count on is Kwon Berkeley.

(28:17):
So he's our first, second and third option in the
past game, and we're gonna handle the ball twenty times.
You know, if I'm if I'm the Panthers, I'm writing
Christian McCaffrey all day long. And then you look at
it on the others. Talking with Mark Sanchez here on
Fox Sports Radio ahead of this Carolina Panthers Rams game,
you look on the other side in the backfield and

(28:39):
it's a bit unsettled as well. You got cam Akers
ruled officially out for this game. Darryl Henderson Jr. Obviously
going to get uh the lead back role for this one,
and I don't hate it. There's a little bit of
feeling of addition by subtraction because Acres hasn't been successful.
They haven't been able to get him going. Do you
think this is a better look for the Rams offense

(29:01):
with Henderson really getting all the reps. Well, I think
they just know what they're getting with Henderson. Um with Acres,
it's been a little bit of a crap shoot and
finally they just kind of pulled the plug. It sounds
like uh so most importantly, I think you even see
a couple of different guys kind of pick up the

(29:21):
slack in the run game to to at well, I
think he's gonna get a little burned today. I think
Brandon Pale is gonna get a little burned today. And
former running back converted to receiver at Florida I think
those guys are really gonna have to listen. Bottom line is,
when the run game is not working, you gotta sauce
up the water. You gotta make it, uh, you know,

(29:42):
do something to get it going. I would not be
surprised to see all those fly sweeps, to see a
lot of this stuff we saw. You know, I don't
want to be the defense that goes against Sean McVeigh
after he's piste off, you know, and been in the
lab for a couple of days and just angry curmudgeon
and show was up with a couple of new plays.
That's that's the last position I'd want to be in.

(30:03):
So don't count that guy out. He's a competitive dude,
intelligent guy, and one of the best play callers in
the league. Well, who would have predicted, Mark that your
former team, the Jets, would have a better record in
the Rams at this point of the season. By the way,
your Jets have held Green Bay Aaron Rodgers and company
to twelve yards of offense so far. Like the first quarter. Yeah,
I haven't been able to see that game. It sounds

(30:25):
like they got a little bit of the London hangover.
We called that Packers, Giants game last week. Holy smoked,
that was one of the best games I've been around
a long time. Market is always great to reconnect. That's
a good thing. You can reconnect with me anytime. Well,
you know where he's gonna be. He's gonna be right here.
He actually he sleeps under the console. Mark all the

(30:45):
best novel tell Ida down the road. Appreciate you guys
there the great Mark Sane joining is their very interesting
matchup between a Rams team that has a golden opportunity
to get things right against p J. Walker, I believe
is going to start a quarterback for the Panthers today. Uh,
they just fire their coach obviously, it's a complete upheaval
and you're at home. I mean the Rams should win

(31:08):
this game quite easily today against the Panthers. Yeah, well
Mark said it perfectly. Their offensive wine has been really
discombobulated with injuries. They're they're they're just they're trying to
get to that bye week so they could get some
guys back, their starting center included who went down earlier
this season. Yeah, it's just been a mess. And then
the injury woes continue because Cooper Cup their top wide

(31:30):
out obviously for two years now, has been on the mend.
He's got a foot injury, so he's questionable for today's game.
Of course, he'll most likely go. Tyler Higbee has got
an ankle, So I mean, you may see a guy
like Ben's chronick. He was just talking about it. You
may start to see because Acres is ruled out to
to at well, Darryl Henderson with a bigger offensive role.

(31:51):
I mean, this has been a patchwork quilt of a
season offensively for the Rams, and they need to hold
it all together there. And meanwhile, their defense has let
them down in some spots, so they have to play
more impressive football for this Rams team to bounce back
and look anything like they did a year ago when
they won the Super Bowl. How does quarterback so far today?
How about Marcus Mariota? There you go, six for six,

(32:14):
seventy one yards and a touchdown. The Falcons have a
fourteen nothing lead over the forty niners. Here's their latest score.
Garoppolo under center. They're gonna hand the ball to Wilson.
He cracks the lot and push us through the ball
popped out Torrell's got it? J did he step out
of bounder? Score? They're recovering in the end, Zoe, what's

(32:35):
gonna be the call? It's a touchdown. You gotta be
kidding me. Nine the game Falcons Radio Network. So just
like that, we head to the second quarter and the
Atlanta Falcons lead the forty Niners by score of fourteen. Nothing.
All right. On the other start, we're gonna have much
more highlights going on. We still have. Of the eight
games going on right now, three are still scoreless. Three

(32:58):
are still scoreless. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
What do you get when you combine a three time

and behind the scenes in Major League Baseball, cars, wind
whatever else we want to talk about. Listen to the

on Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh,

(33:41):
this is Fox Red Zone Radio and we've got the
place that you may admits. So nobody in the backfield
with Burrow. Third and goal from the nine. Joe back
to throw pump bikes, throw short, get mixing at the
charges into the end zone. Touchdown, Bendals. Now back live

(34:02):
to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio. All right, so that's Bengals Radio network.
Bengals getting at least one of the scorers back, still
trailing the Saints fourteen is seven nine to go in
the first half. There, Welcome back to Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. We are live from the tire iraq dot

(34:24):
com studios. We have an update in that Miami Vikings game, which,
by the way, still no score. Skyler Thompson, the rookie quarterback,
has left the game. He injured his hand when it
hit the helmet of one of the Viking defensive lineman.
That means Teddy Bridgewater is now back at quarterback for
the Dolphins. Again no score there. Hey, let's hear Jacksonville

(34:46):
getting on the board. Here we go third and go
from a half yard line. At the quarterback state, Trevor
Lawrence into the end zone. I believe no signal yet, touchdown.
He was into the end zone. It took a while
to get the signal, but out the one yard touched
run by Trevor Lawrence. That's w j X, l AM,
Tan Tann and fm VE Jaguars Radio Network. That was

(35:07):
early on the Jacks still hanging onto a seven to
three lead on the road against the Colts. So it'll
be Teddy Bridgewater who just cleared concussion protocol in at
quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. He cleared the protocol on Friday.
So again the Dolphins very quickly after quarterback is cleared

(35:27):
up of concussion symptoms having to go in the game.
And this is the fourth consecutive game that the Miami
Dolphins have had a quarterback who's needed medical attention during
the game. And we have a touchdown Baltimore ravens Uh
Drake was at a wheel route to Drake. How did
he get so open against the Giants? Will see this again? Yeah,

(35:53):
now it's oh my gosh, what a beautifully block play,
just an inside zone and it goes to the house
from twenty yards out. So the Baltimore Ravens strike first,
leading the New York Giants six nothing early in the
second quarter. All right, so Kenyan Drake with that touchdown
run there for the Ravens. Let's get to the Saints

(36:14):
are hot today at the Bengal forty four second and eight.
Dalton gives it to the back to the Waters that
he's got room around. Welcome to the NFL w w
L Saints radio network. So the Saints maintain that fourteen

(36:35):
seven lead against the Bugles. How about taste Um Hill
last week? Was that unbelievable? That was one of the
most impressive performances in football history. Unbelievable, you said, is
listed as a tight end in most fantasy football leagues.
He get three rushing touchdowns and a touchdown. It's so
rare when you say this, but it was true for

(36:58):
of leagues. If you had Taste Hill, you won your
game that week. It doesn't matter what happened on the
other side. Baltimore's extra point is good. So it is
a seven nothing lead for the Ravens over the New
York Giants early in the second quarter, and Jacksonville back
on the board. Was that an interception returned for a touchdown.
Is that what we're looking at. They're about to tack

(37:20):
on an extra point now, only it was a six
sixty one yard touchdown run by Hasty. Holy max sixty
one yard touchdown run by Hasty. The extra point is good.
So Jacksonville on the road against the struggling Colts, chie
three Jacksonville and the Packers just blocked a pun. Is

(37:41):
that accurate? Sam? Where did you see that? How? There
it is in the small box up top? Yeah? Yeah,
So the New York Jets were trying to get that
one away and be Packers ball again. Just getting started
second quarter there in Lambeau and it's still scoreless between
the Jets and the Packers. That's an inter steam block
punt because even though it was blocked, that went forward,

(38:03):
not backwards. At least save the Jets a little bit there.
But the Packers are recovered at the forty yard line,
so they're being thirty six yard line to be exact
right now, this Green Bay offense. So oh and there
goes Aaron Jones all the way down to the twelve
yard line inside zone play and number thirty three mix.
The Jets pay for that mistake. But there my face

(38:25):
They're like, here's our offense. Oh, that's right. The flag
on the play holding against the Packers first and from
their own forties six. It just seemed too convenient that
they blew that hole open in that Packers offensive line,
which has struggled this year. The Buccaneers have added a
field goal, still trailing the Steelers seven is six that

(38:46):
game about ten minutes ago in the first half. We
still have no score in two games. Vikings, Dolphins, Jets, Packers.
Rare there we go this far into the game. Meanwhile,
let's hear that raven highlight back that handled the track.
He's got a whole twenty pod touchdown Kenyan Drake. The

(39:08):
Ravens strike first with nine twenty six to play, and
they opening half ninety Rock Ravens Radio Network seven. Nothing there.
The Giants trying to get some kind of offense going
today and they just don't have a lot of offense.
See Kwon Barkley three carries eight yards. They have twenty
seven total yards in this game with nine a half

(39:30):
minutes ago in the first half. So statistically, the Ravens
are dominating this game, but Giants are still hanging in there.
By the way they had to get sub offense. Did
you just see this, this spider cam v you in
this Baltimore Ravens New York Giants game, They were just
tracking the ball carrier and it looked like we were
on That almost made me seasick. It looked like we're

(39:51):
on a ship. But a good job by the Giants
advancing the field position here. They need to get something
going before the half. Yeah, but seven nothing. Raven is
right now leading the Giants and as you say, the
Brian Dable and is his offense. Like Gable has to
give a lot of credit going all the way back
to the very first game of the year, going for
the two point conversion, going for the win, and it

(40:12):
just seemed to change the mindset of the Giants, like
we can hang in there. Big one last week obviously
in London against the Packers. Are the Giants for real? Yeah, look,
mindset is everything. Well, it's not the only thing, but
if you have some players and they do, and if
you have a defense that can hold offenses under twenty
like they do, well then you got a chance. And
so mindset is important. Alright. Our mindset is to bring

Jimmy back Jimmy throws caught Brandon Ayouke ten five touchdown,
said Francisco. Are you are you are? Luca Is on fire? Up?

(41:24):
That is insanity right there can be our forty Niners
radio network. That is not one but two touchdown passes.
Jimmy Garoppolo to Brandon Ayukaz. You can hear them ayuk
auk ayuke And just like that, that fourteen nothing lead
for the Falcons has disappeared. Tie score fourteen fourteen forty
Niners and Falcons seven minutes ago on the first top.

(41:45):
By the way, Jimmy Garoppolo is ten of eleven hundred
three yards two touchdown snow picks. Are you are you are?
Lucas on fire? We don't need no water let up. Yeah,
it's amazing how that trail Lance injury is working out
for the forty Niners. By the way, broadcasting live from

should be. So that forty Niner offense is is a
week with Jimmy Garoppolo and he's feeling pretty good right now.
Remember this about Jimmy Garoppolo. He took a one year

(42:27):
deal for less money to stay on with the forty Niners. Obviously,
at this point, Trey Lance was going to be the
starting quarterback. Lance goes down and who knows how this
season is gonna play out for the forty Niners. But
so far, it's working out well for Jimmy Garoppolo because
he's showing everybody around the league I can play this position,
I can win, I'm healthy, And even if he doesn't

(42:50):
stay with the forty Niners, it would seem likely he's
gonna have a home somewhere in the NFL next season. Yeah,
by the way, UH seven now in New Orleans. The
scenes tack on a yield goal to their second quarter scoring,
and the Giants just scored against the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson
gets in the end zone on a short pass from
Daniel Jones after dropping one went through his hands back

(43:12):
then zone the prior play on third and four. He
gets in there. So Giants on the board seven six
right now in New York. Will see if the ensuing
extra point is good. But yeah, I was talking about
this Saints Bengals game a second ago, which is now
sevent seven. UH Saints over the Bengals in New Orleans.
Second quarter has been all Saints so far. Um. But yeah,

(43:34):
going back to what you said about Jimmy Garoppolo, I mean,
the fact that they're having the season they're having is
in large part because their stability at the quarterback position
with Trey Lance. It was an unknown quantity. It could
have been really great. Probably could have been mediocre, like
a lot of rookie seasons go for quarterbacks in this league,

(43:56):
but absolutely could have been awful, like we've seen so
many key quarterback seasons go as well. I shouldn't call
him a rookie. I'm calling him that because he hasn't
played any significant football yet, spent a year on the
bench backing up Jimmy Garoppolo. But thank goodness they have
him because I think, I think the fact that the
San Francisco forty Niners are in the position are in
is largely contributed to Jimmy g in the steady hand

(44:18):
at the tiller. Well, I mean, what are they make
of run to the super Bowl with Jimmy Garoppolo. Are
you gonna just wave goodbye to him and hand the
ball to Trey Lance regardless? Or I mean, because at
that point he would be on the open market free agent.
He's gonna get offers from a lot of teams saying
all right, well, Jimmy Garoppolo is the real deal. If
you haven't figured that out already, when you have WINNI percentage, um,

(44:42):
do you do you sign him to a long term
deal with the forty Niners and just tell Trey Lance, look,
eventually your day will come. But right now we know
we have a quarterback we can win with and Jimmy Garoppolo,
and we're gonna ride this for a while. I don't
know if you can and here's the reason why. Here's
the reason why. It's because Jimmy G. You know what
he is, Jimmy G is a very capable quarterback, but

(45:03):
he isn't great. He is an elite. And that's what
everybody's chasing down. And this is a really big quarterback
draft coming out this year. So what I could see
them doing is moving on from Jimmy G and drafting
a quarterback in the first round, going right back to it,
and and wherever they're selecting. Like you said, if they
make a Super Bowl run, one of the quarterbacks may

(45:24):
slide to them. It happened with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
They bought back into the first round and got him
at thirty two. You could get a high value quarterback
in the first round. And so yeah, maybe you start
your season with Trey Lance, but you say, hey, you're
gonna compete with our next first round quarterback. And teams
aren't afraid to do this. Look at Arizona Cardinals did
it in consecutive years. They went Rosen and they went
Kyler Murray in consecutive years. It can happen in San Francisco.

(45:49):
We'll see what happens though. This season. All right, let's
hear Jacksonville's latest score. They give it the Haycy tries
the right side into the helpt. What's gonna catch um
inside the tent. It's out of five into the end zone?
Touched down? Are you kidding me? So? Michael hist Tasty
just exploded for the score. W j x L A

(46:10):
M ten TENNA FM VE Jaguars Radio Network. So that
hasty touchdown giving Jacksonville a fourteen a three lead over
an Indianapolis Colts team that is still looking for answers.
Here's the big problem with Indianapolis um a couple of things.
First of all, in this game, Jacksonville has a hundred
fifty one yards rushing in the first half, but Indianapolis

(46:32):
Matt Ryan is fifteen and twenty two hundred forty eight yards.
Good numbers, no picks. They can't get the ball in
the end zone. Yeah, they can't. They can't. They've been
so so what do you say ordinary offensively? Just this
isn't a team that was so explosive year ago with
Carson Wentz. I mean, think about how many explosive plays

(46:52):
they were able to generate, whether it was you know,
Jonathan Taylor, in the run game, or it was Wentz,
you know, finding some of these receivers his tight end.
This offense just looks so pedestrian this year, and they're
so bad on third down right now, two of six conversions.
They just can't keep their offense on the field and

(47:12):
it's going to bite them because this division doesn't doesn't
feel like it's out of reach. I mean, it's certainly
feels like it's a winnable division in the NFC South
this year. Jacksonville definitely looks like they're ready to compete,
and this would be an insanely bad loss for them.
Uh if you fall to arrival here early in this season,
especially with the start you've had. Steelers have added a

(47:35):
field goal. They now lead ten to six over the Buccaneers.
Keep the highlights running. Sam jars Box is right left,
takes the scot Doctor Grill fires it left complete for
the touchdown. W Fan Giants Radio Networks. So that game
is seven all the Giants and Ravens. Getting back to
this Tampa Bay Pittsburgh game. Right now, Kenny pick It

(47:58):
has a pass the radiant of a hundred and sixteen.
Tom Brady has a pass a rady of sixty two
point nine. Tom Brady just seven of fifteen, only seventy
nine yards passing against what so far has been an
inspired Steelers defense. Really quick. The Minnesota Vikings just took
a seven three lead in Miami over the Dolphins. Here

(48:20):
onto their second string quarterback. Now after their third string
quarterback went down with a hand or a wrist injury
early in this game. So Skylert Thompson out for the Dolphins.
It's Teddy Bridgewater in and after his first drive from scrimmage,
they give the ball back to the Vikings. Vikings go
all the way down the field and score a short
reception from Kirk Cousins to IRV Smith Jr. So the

(48:43):
Vikings lead seven three there. Meanwhile, Jets and Packers no score. Uh.
In this game. Aaron Rodgers is seven and thirteen seventy
one yards. Zach Wilson is four of eight for twenty yards. Uh.
There's just no offense. And the game, by the way,
that gets me back to that Thursday night game. Back
to back to battles on Thursday night football, and you're

(49:06):
just I mean, if you want to throw off, I
mean I talked yesterday with our buddy from Salam about this,
and you know, we were talking about the fact that
there's just a general lack of practice time, but we
also got back to the idea of Thursday night football
when you're on a short week, and you experienced this
in your NFL career, when you play a game on

(49:27):
a Sunday and you have a Thursday game and you
have no day off, you basically have one day of
a walkthrough. Hang on, hang on hand Let's let's start
from the start. I think the biggest problem with offenses
early this season is because it was musical chairs with
quarterbacks in the off season. All right, So you saw
the Colts, you saw the Broncos in that Thursday night

(49:48):
two weeks ago, and it was awful. Matt Ryan's brand
new with the Colts in that offensive system and Russell
Wilson's brand new with the Denver Broncos in that offensive system,
and it was a low scoring game led by the defense. Awful.
Watch same thing with the Washington Commanders in the Chicago
Bears last week. Now, I understand Fields has been there,
but he's young, only his second year, and really a
tough first year for the Bears with him getting put

(50:10):
in there. Um so he's he hasn't even played a
full season yet and Carson Wentz brand new with the Commanders.
So I think part of the reason why we're seeing
such low offensive output from some of these teams is
because we have quarterbacks who are in unfamiliar territory all
across the NFL, and highlighted in those two Thursday Night
appointments we just had in consecutive weeks which turned out

(50:30):
to be dogs. Absolutely. Oh by the way, you're also
paying for those games now on Thursday. That's pay pay
per view essentially. Uh Al Michael's two weeks ago said
if we have another Thursday Night game like this, I'm retiring.
Well he's still employed. Apparently, I gotta walk away from
all that money. But I have the reason I mentioned
the Sunday to Thursday. And again, this is nothing new.

(50:52):
This is going on for years. It just seems to
me and we know and I've been predicting this for years.
When the NFL schedule goes from seventeen to eight team games,
which is inevitable, you gotta go to a twenty weeks season.
You need to have to bye weeks. And even though
it's not a perfect way to help eliminate the idea
of playing on a Sunday followed by a Thursday. Especially

(51:13):
for road teams. You know, that extra bye week could
actually play into it to give you a little freedom
to loosen up to schedule a little bit, so you
don't have teams playing a Sunday and a Thursday, because
that's a tough road. All right. By the way, Charlotte's

(52:26):
That's KAFAM Minneapolis and the Vikings Radio Network. Vikings leading
Miami seven or three, not getting much offense though Kirk
Cousins night at eight six yards in the score. How
about Dalvin Cook four carries four yards. Vikings have seven
yards rushing in this game. Welcome back. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the tire

(52:47):
Act dot Com studios. Bengals trying to get back in
their game against the Saints. Burrow trying to step away
from the rush he got gets up the middle of
the field of five touchdowns, has chobur crosses the goal line.
I love that guy. He he just comes right over
every time. Al right now, all right that one. He

(53:10):
sounds like you semity sand Oh, you're rascally rabbit, yea
Radiols Radio Network. So the Bengals still trail to Saints
seventeen fourteen. How about the Pats to the left including
Henry out of the Wig two receiver, spread out light
side right staffing a gift off of it all run
by Stevenson, cut last side of a tackle, go on

(53:30):
to the ten, gone to the five, go on to
the end zone, touchdown. Patriots. Matt Patricia with the third
and ten druck call the sports Hub and the Patriots
Radio Network, New England leading on the road against the
Cleveland Browns ten to three, and you mentioned earlier Rich
and Bailey. Zappy looks a whole lot like Mac Jones,

(53:53):
and the numbers say it. He's eleven of seventeen one yards,
no interceptions and just just cruise on Opper in the offense,
doing okay, decent deep ball, inaccurate sometimes but other times
very accurate. He just reminds me a lot of Mac Jones.
It's looking again, it's nothing against Mac Jones. He's early
in his development. Belly's happy obviously through the football ton

(54:16):
for Western Kentucky, all the records last year. Uh so, yeah,
I mean it makes sense that a guy like that
fits the Patriot system. And do we have an interception
in the San Francisco forty Niners game? We do. Jimmy
Garoppolo drops back and heaves one downfield. Atlanta comes up
with it. They're leading one fourteen right now, and we

(54:39):
have the touchdown from that game, most recent score from
that one. Snap to Mariota, Marcus, So keep it right side,
turn the corner, touched down at Lanta Marcus Mariota the game.
Falcons Radio Network so they are leading twenty one fourteen
and speaking, they the Atlanta Falcons with just seconds to

(55:00):
go in the first half. Uh, and it looks like
that is the end of the first half there, So
Atlanta will go into the half with a fourteen lead
over the forty niners. Colts trying to get back in
this one against Jacksonville from the four, make it the
five yard line with the gun, Ryan aning on a
shot fill step Rose left flat and it's caught by

(55:22):
Paris Campbell and he's in. He's touches the ball over
the Pilon touchdown. Why Paris Cavil Colts Radio Network. So
without Jonathan Taylor, the Colts are throwing the ball a ton.
Matt Ryan twenty one of twenty nine in the first
half yards a touchdown note picks. They've only had twenty

(55:44):
five yards rushing in this game. So yeah, without the
big running back, they're gonna have to throw the ball
a lot if they're gonna pull this game out against Jacksonville. Yeah,
and how about how about the Colts? I mean, it's
just been so awkward. The offense has not taken shape.
Frank Reich has been so good with reclamation projects at

(56:05):
quarterback with with veteran quarterbacks coming into the system, and
for whatever reason with Matt Ryan, it just hasn't been great.
And a lot of that's due to the offensive wine.
A lot of that's dude to not getting the run
game going, which has been so important for their success recently,
especially last season with Jonathan Taylor, where they were able
to open up holes for him. But right now, it's

(56:26):
a ballgame in Indianapolis, Jacksonville leading fourteen ten. Uh, they
were leading by fourteen nothing earlier in this one. So
so Colts making up some ground before the half. The
Steelers are still leading the Buccaneers ten to six or
getting ready for halftime. In fact, four seconds to go
in the half, and I'm watching right now Tom Brady

(56:49):
is coming off the field. Tom Brady in this first half,
Rich just ten of twenty one, passing a hundred and
ten yards in this game. So the Dealers, you know,
coming in this game one and four oh and two
at home, obviously, if they have designs on some kind
of winning record this year, they have to win this game.

(57:09):
Tampa is not gonna attempt a field goal, but that's
all it's been for Tampa in this first half has
been field goals, so we're watching. This will be pretty
much the last play of the first half, and the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers get the field goal. So ten nothing
attend to nine. Uh. The Steelers leading the Buccaneers at
the half. Yeah. Look, and they've gotten to him twice

(57:30):
this half half with two sacks. And I've been keeping
my on this game. They've been getting after Tom Brady
a little bit in the past game, and again they're
relying on his arm mostly only forty two yards. Rushing
Leonard for for net ten yards or excuse me, ten
carries for thirty four yards. He has a long of
a thirteen yard rush. Rashad White, uh two carries eight yards.

(57:52):
I mean, they're just not getting the ground game going,
and Tampa Bay is struggling for it, you know. I Mean,
he's on page right now to throw forty two passes
after going back to back weeks of fifty two passes each.
It's just not a success of a formula for success
for Tampa Bay. All Right, the Jets are about to
attempt a field goal. We got forty one two seconds

(58:13):
to go in the first half of that game between
the Jets and Packers. Jets leading three to nothing, despite
the fact that they have seventeen net yards passing in
this game. But it has been slow going for Green
Bay in this game. The field goal attempt is no good.
So with about thirty seconds to go in the first half,
right now, the Jets still leading the Packers by a

(58:35):
score of three to nothing. But Aaron Rodgers is going
to go into this half saying, where is my offense?
They have nineteen yards rushing in this game. Aaron Rodgers
is just ten of eighteen for ninety four yards nineties
six yards of offense against the Jets at home defensive
struggle there so far in the early goings of that game.

(58:55):
I don't think anybody saw it going that way. But yeah,
three nothing. They trail right now seven three lead for
the Minnesota Soda Vikings in Miami Dolphins on back to
their second string quarterback Teddy Bridgewater after Skyler Thompson leaves
the game with a hand injury and Teddy may yep
it is ruled an interception short passed jail and Waddle

(59:16):
gets batted. Vikings come down with it. So with eighteen
seconds left in the half, Kirk Cousins going deep to
Adam Feeling and there is pass interference on the play.
So this is going to be a huge momentum shift
in this game. If the Vikings are able to score
again here before halftime, thirteen seconds left on the clock. Well,

(59:39):
if you play the Unders today, you're looking pretty good.
We got a lot of low scoring today in the NFL,
far cry from what we saw a week ago. We
have a ten three game Pats and Browns three nothing, Jets,
Packers seven three, Vikings, Dolphins ten seven, Ravens Giants, Steelers
leading the Bucks ten to nine. So not a whole

(59:59):
lot of score ring going on today, which makes it
a perfect time to welcome you to the Fox Sports

I don't own one, but I've been too many people's

Like you can use whatever heat source you want, and

(01:00:45):
and it just I mean, you could do pizzas in there.
You could smoke delicious pork s, bear ribs, maybe a
little pork shoulder mixing pulled pork. I mean, you could
really get after it. Very versatile weapon in any outdoor
chef's kitchen, no question about Big Green Egg dot com. Alright,
let's see what's happening with the Vikings Dolphins game right now.
So the Vikings, I've gotten to Miami's fifteen yard line.

(01:01:11):
They have a second and five with seven seconds to
go in the half. Yeah, that was past interference on
theland who came up laboring he had he was clutching
his knee, but I think he's back out on the
field and they just threw it away. Kirk Cousins looking
for a past and the end zone. They'll settle for
three here the field goal unit coming on to the field.
So this could be a ten three margin for the

(01:01:32):
Dolphins to make up with whatever quarterback comes out and
starts the second half for them. Yeah, they're they're running
out of quarterbacks big time. I mean, while the Saints
right now have a third and thirteen at the Cincinnati
nineteen yard line inside a minute to go in the half.
Saints lead this game seventeen to fourteen. Joe Burrow seventeen
of twenty five, but only a hundred twenty six yards

(01:01:53):
passing one score. Andy Dalton, don't ask six or fourteen
sixty six yards. They don't have a pass game. But
how about this, The Saints have a hundred and sixty
four yards rushing in the first half against that Bengals defense. Jay,
excuse me, Greg Joseph hits the field goal. Minnesota leads
ten three. That game goes to half there and we

(01:02:15):
got the New Orleans Saints. Looks like they're down in
the Cincinnati bengalside the field leading seventeen. Yes, uh as running.
I mentioned they have a hundred and sixty four yards
rushing in the first half against the Cincinnai defense. Let's
find out what's trending right now as we bring Brian
Finley back into the mix. Right now, he's got all

(01:02:37):
the halftime highlights yes, Steve and Rich let's get right
to it. Eight games happening right now in the NFL,
including what's happening between the New England Patriots and their
ball game against the Cleveland brown So Bailey Zappy his
numbers so far, eleven of seventeen through the air, has
no touchdowns. He's got one forty one yards through the air.

(01:03:01):
But the touchdown on the ground, Dan Romandre Stevenson had
something to say about that, stopping a gift. Top of
it all, run by Stevenson, tackle, go on to the ten,
go on to the five, go on to the end zone, touchdown,
Patriots Patriots Radio Network. It's ten to six, as the
Browns just added a sixty or excuse me, a field goal,

(01:03:23):
so they're up. That is New England tend to six.
Under a minute to go in the second quarter. The
Jets are leading the Packers three to nothing, with this
Green Bay team trying to drive and they're gonna call
it time out here, trying to get some sort of
field goal as they have it at inside this Jets
territory are and Rogers so far fifty through the air,

(01:03:43):
one hundred forty one yards and there was one Greg
Sirloin field goal. That's been the store. He just missed
a field goal that would have added on to the
Jets lead. The Jaguars are ahead of the Colts fourteen
to ten. As Trevor Lawrence he did run in a touchdown,
but he's been sacked four times all the while. The
Colts are within one now of the Jags with twenty

(01:04:06):
one seconds to go in the second quarter of forty
two yard field goal was just made with just one
seconds left. Outs you mentioned, Matt Ryan has a touchdown
toss to Paris Campbell, quarterback for Indianapolis twenty six completions
two or thirty two yards to Michael Hasty has a
score on the ground the running back one Kerry sixty
one yards and that score for Jacksonville. As the guys mentioned,

(01:04:29):
the Vikings tack on the field goal at the end
of the second quarter, so they are ahead of the
Dolphins tend of three at intermission, and it's the Teddy
Bridgewater show right now at quarterback after the starter at
QB in the game four, Miami Skyler Thompson exited with
a thumb injury on his right hand and his return
is said to be questionable. So we'll see if he
makes his way back onto the field. In the third quarter,

(01:04:52):
the Giants are trailing the Ravens ten to seven. Kenyan
Drake had that touchdown round of thirty yards to help.
Was this Baltimore offense eight seconds ago? And that one
The Saints leading the Bengals twenty to fourteen with just
a second left, one tick on the clock in the
second quarter with Andy Dalton in and he's got to lead.

(01:05:13):
Will Lutts though, just made a field goal, so he's
tacked on field goals to make it seventeen fourteen and
now fourteen as the Saints appear to go into the
locker room at the half of the lead. And finally, guys,
can he Pickett and the Steelers are leading the Buccaneers
tend to to nine at the half and Tom Brady,
as you guys mentioned in the twenty one through the
air one hundred ten yards passing pedestrian his numbers, but

(01:05:36):
three field goals have his squad in this thing. And
we did say and did see as I set it
back to to Rich and Steve that Tom Brady has
been ripping his offensive lineman on the sidelines during this game,
so he's not very happy with their performance, and his
stats seem to suggest that he is disgruntled and how
they're performing. Yeah, and for good reason. Right now. Yeah,

(01:05:59):
when Tom and he's not happy, he's gonna make sure
everyone is very clear on that. And when the Goats speaks,
you listen, simple as that. By the way, the Packers
did at a field goal right before the half, so
I say, ah, that's our first score of the game.
That's that's a hum dinger there the Jets and Packers
three or three at the half. By the way, since
all the games are at halftime. Rich By the way, Brian,

(01:06:20):
thanks so much. We'll check in with you a little
bit later on. I wanted to get to this game
coming up this afternoon. The Bills and the Chiefs. Chiefs
are four and one. When is the last nime they
were an underdog at home? They are two and a
half point dogs at home against the Buffalo Bills, who
are coming out that huge win last week. Most people
think the Bills, who have the best point differential in

(01:06:42):
the NFL they've given up the fewest points in the NFL,
are the best team. But when is the last time
the Chiefs were an underdog at home. Yeah, this one's
kind of bizarre line because you sort of feel like
this is a pick them, and if you're you're looking
at a game as pretty even and it's going to

(01:07:03):
be played at one venue or the other, you give
the three points to the home team. So they were saying,
basically based on that three points spread, that Buffalo is
five and a points better a neutral field than the Chiefs. Yeah,
it's just a strange line. And this is when you
have to remember that Vegas isn't just putting the line
on the game that they think is going to uh

(01:07:24):
to to to hit. Actual outcomes are kind of set aside.
It's it's about what the public feels like Vegas. Numbers
and handicaps are a public barometer on what they think.
I want to know what you think. Are the Bills
that much better than the Chiefs? No, no, they're not.
The Bills have some worts. We've seen them early this season. Uh.

(01:07:46):
You know again, the Dolphins strategy against the Bills. It's
like everybody's forgotten, but that defensive strategy was able to
slow down uh Josh Allen. And they've got some injuries
in their defensive backfield that they're still nursing. I mean,
they're not vulnerable. I think they're very great team, and
they've they're very deep team, especially defensively, so they've been

(01:08:08):
able to make up for some of those blemishes. But
the Bills they have some problems. They're not the world
beaters that I think we thought they were when they
came out the gates and absolutely embarrassed the Rams in
the Home Open or Thursday Night. However, Kansas City has
got some problems too. It hasn't been peaches and cream
the entire way for Kansas City. They've won some really
tight games. They've looked really bad for some quarters, and

(01:08:30):
they've looked really great for some quarters. And that's sort
of the Chief's DNA. They like to come back and
win it. Uh. They've done that in several second half
so far. So yeah, Like basically going back to what
I was saying, though, I see I view these teams
as very even and eerily similar in how their seasons
have gone. Interesting in the m v P race right now,
Josh Allen leading the NFL and passing yards by a

(01:08:52):
clear margin. However, passer rating, Mahomes has higher passer rating
with his fifteen touchdowns just two x Alan has four
teen touchdowns and four picks. By the way, you know
which quarterback is leading the NFL and passer rating above Mahomes,
above Josh Allen Aboff Justin Herbert. That would be Gino Smith. Yes,

(01:09:14):
Gino Smith. He's now my starting fantasy football quarterback. Well,
Gino Smith's gonna be at home against the Cardinals today.
And how about this? He's talking about weird lines. Arizona
has not played well this year, and yet Arizona is
a two and a half point favorite at Seattle against

(01:09:34):
Gino's Why are the Cardinals fabled in this game? Well?
Am I missing something here? You got the hot, red
hot Gino Smith at home and the Cardinals are favored. Yeah,
this is another odd one, right, uh yeah, Look, I again,
two teams that if I'm looking at the piece of
paper and I'm saying, all right, what makes me nervous

(01:09:55):
about the Arizona Cardinals. There's enough there that I think
that they can beat any team in the NFL. And
I and given Sunday, but I feel the exact same
way about the Seattle Seahawks right now. Now. The one
thing I will say is the Seahawks are reeling in
some ways after losing Rashad Penny. Uh, he will be
out with a broken leg for several weeks. He's gonna
he's gonna see if he can't get back to the

(01:10:16):
field for what potentially could be a stretch run for
the Seahawks in the season that everybody thought they were
just going to go into the tank, but have been
playing some really decent football and it's really been attributed
large part to Geno Smith in his play. So yeah, again,
I see these two teams as being very even, and
if I'm gonna give an edge to anybody, it's gonna

(01:10:36):
be the home field, especially uh in the situation of
the Seattle Seahawks, because that is one of the best
home field advantages in all of the NFL. And I
feel the same way about Arrowhead, by the way, which
makes that spread odd as well, and very odd. I mean,
I just I can't remember the last time the Chiefs
or underdogs at home, especially sitting four one on the season,

(01:10:56):
And of course, the game tonight, record wise, is the
big GUS matchup of the week. He got the four
one Cowboys, led by their backup quarterback Cooper Rush against
the still undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, by the way, with the
Phillies getting into the National League Championship Series and the
Eagles sitting at five, and oh right now, if you're
a Philly sports fan, doesn't get much better than that. Yeah, no,

(01:11:19):
it does not. And here's the reality of the situation
right now for the Dallas Cowboys. If Cooper Rush keeps
doing what he's doing, and and it's not a ton
And look, I mean, if you look at the season totals,
it's not like he's blown anybody's doors off. I'll tell
you the stat that stands out zero interceptions. Yep, I
completely agree with you. The guy has been capable at quarterback.

(01:11:42):
He's been winning at quarterback. Four No, as a starter,
he hasn't been asked to do a ton. In fact,
it's been curtailed even further. First two starts through thirty
one passes in each, then it tailed off to against
the Commanders only has to throw the ball sixteen times
because they didn't need to. They had a good lead
in that game and kept the foot to the to

(01:12:02):
the accelerator on the rams. But still not asked to
do a whole lot um, but still does it all well.
And so if you are laboring to get Dac back
right if it's taking longer than you predict, and Cooper
Rush just keeps winning ball games. Jerry Jones has been
saying it for a while now. He's like, I like

(01:12:23):
the fact that people are asking me about a controversy
he goes, because it means our backup is doing exactly
what he's supposed to be doing. But when does your
backup become your starting quarterback? By the way, Jalen Hurts, uh,
I mean you're you're the quarterback of a five and
oh team. Can you take him seriously as an m
VP candidate? He has more rushing touchdowns and passing touched ads.
It's only throwing four touchdown passes. We talked about. Mahomes

(01:12:45):
has fifteen, Josh Allen has fourteen. I don't know. I mean, uh, Rich,
when you try to gauge value to a team, when
you're sitting there with the best record in the NFL
and Jalen Hurts is playing good foot, Paul, how do
you gauge him as an m VP candidate? Look again,
this is the this is what I said, uh two

(01:13:08):
weeks ago before this most recent win for Jalen Hurts
and the Eagles. If if you took Jalen Hurts stats
and you put a different name next to it, and
it was undefeated Tom Brady, or it was undefeated Aaron Rodgers,
who it was undefeated Patrick Mahomes, there was undefeated, uh,
Josh Allen, you would say, well, he's the m v P.

(01:13:28):
And then people will say, whoa whoa, whoa whoa. Lamar
Jackson has better stats, and and and and this guy
has better stats, and Kyler Murray even has better stats.
How is he the m v P. Well, they're undefeated
and he's a big reason why. So the problem for
Jalen Hurts is the fact that nobody believes in him.
Still that to me, it's very simple. He's the league's envy.

(01:13:49):
That's why Tonight Spotlight Sunday Night Football, America's team. On
the other side, even with a backup courter back, if
Jalen Hurts and by the way, the Eagles are a
sizeable six and that point favorite tonight, if he has
a big night tonight on the national stage, it could
change the whole dynamic. Well, it's just like we drew
it up in the preseason. The last two undefeated quarterbacks

(01:14:09):
starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Cooper Rush Jellen Hurts facing
off in this NFC East battle for for dominance and
and the NFC East right now, record wise the best
division in the NFL. How about just like we drew
it up? All right, we have our first scoring of
the second half right now. It comes from the Steelers,

(01:14:29):
a field goal, increasing their lead over Tampa to thirteen
to nine. All Right, we got second half action coming
up for you. Eight games around the NFL. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Steve Harvey, Rich Harburger. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio live from the ti

(01:14:52):
IRAQ dot Com studios. All right, second half action going
on around the NFL. We got eight games going on.
We were talking in that last section about some of
the games coming up later on today. And by the way,
if you don't know, it's too late, uh with your
fantasy football teams. I'm talking about bye week teams Lions, Titans, Raiders, Texans.

(01:15:15):
By the way, Danny g Are resident diehard Silver and
Black fan, uh, still moaning about the officiating in that
Raiders Chiefs game. Remember the phantom roughing the passer call
against the Chiefs on Derek Carr. That's still one of
the most baffling calls I've ever seen in my entire life.
But Jones, who was tackling Derek Carr, who also fumbled,

(01:15:38):
strips ACKed and then recovered the fumble on his way
to the ground. So yeah, naturally that's roughing the pastor
and that should be a can tackle the quarterback. That's
apparently the rule here. But after that, Danny gef found
some guy that put all these video highlights of holding
going up by the Chiefs the rest of the game.

(01:15:59):
That opened up the all the lanes, one holding call
after another, and we were mocking him saying that if
you're gonna go with that sidelights, you can find a
holding call on literally every single What are you doing,
Danny g I mean, I get it. It's kind of
store grapes sour grapes now though, because it is just
a bunch of wining after the fact. But but yeah,

(01:16:20):
that's the NFL right now. If you are trying to
tackle a quarterback, good luck. Um Kyle Pitts by the way,
on the board for the Atlanta Falcons short pass over
the middle. Falcons now take a twenty eight to fourteen
lead against the San Francisco forty niners. UM. So yeah,
that is that is a score fest down there in

(01:16:42):
Atlanta today. I don't think people really expected that. That's
the highest scoring game by far. Question. By the way,
the Patriots right now have a third and goal at
the Cleveland two yard line. The Patriots leading the Browns
tend to six. Is a big game for both these teams,
I mean, are either the Patriots or Brands. And we
have a touch down pass. Bailey Zappy has just thrown

(01:17:04):
a touchdown pass. We'll get to an update on that,
but it looks like the Patriots have extended their lead
sixteen to six over the Browns, penning the extra point.
Let's get to that Falcon score. Bird comes in the
orbit from left to right. Mariota looks now gonna loop.
Kyle pets taught it. Touchdowns the game Falcons Radio network. Uh,

(01:17:30):
and the Falcons leave the fourteen. By the way, extra
point is good. So the Patriots are now leading the
Browns seventeen to six. UH. As Bailey Zappy throwing that
touchdown past two found Taekwon Thornton back in the end
zone and so that caps I believe it was the

(01:17:52):
Patriots first drive of the second half there, and I
want to say it was a pretty good long one
there for the Pats. Yeah, belly z Appy, he's looking
good today. I mean he's he's been looking good so
the way we've gotten to Yeah, it was seven play
drive spanning seventy five yards, ticked about four minutes off
the clock, and finished with the Thornton touchdown reception. Um

(01:18:14):
Horrior took over after Mac Jones injury against the Baltimore
Ravens at home. He gets knocked out in the very
next game and then went to Baily's Appy and he's
looked good even in the lost last week. He's he's
really seemed again like as a third stone quarterback. The
expectations couldn't be any lower, and he's really outshined all

(01:18:36):
of those expectations. All Right, I want to interrupt all
these highlights to give Iowa Sam is just do so yesterday.
He's working with Jonas Knox, who dismissed all his attempts
at being a comedian a comedy writer. He's now writing
one liners that we will share here on the Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. Here's one of his latest Deshaun

(01:18:57):
Watson has a new line of formal men's wear. They're
calling it the civil suit. Okay, how about this one?
Hold on, hold on, hold on? Here it is hold on,
hold on. Ryan is not a fan. If the if
New York beats the packers, will we consider them? Look, jettimate,

(01:19:25):
we can't do this. Hold on. I mean now, Jonas like,
what are you doing? Guy? Suddenly I have to leave.
I have a sour taste in my mouth. I gotta
I gotta go. I have a prior to gage. This
is the new side job of our beloved Iowa Sam,

(01:19:46):
comedy writer, brain functions and strange ways, and he's thinking
of one liners. Ryan is our producers, so he has fine.
I'll say on this I love the font. It's called
poor Richard. I'm just like that's cool. Well, wait a second,
we have a producer. They asked the answer to the
big bosses on anything that happens on the show. Uh,

(01:20:08):
your thoughts on any more one liners coming from Iowa Sam.
I think we're being preempted across the country with every
single joke that comes across. All right, So that is that.
But I gave you some Sam, give you a little dude.
Today we had a cause in the scoring around the
national football uh second half so on a way for

(01:20:30):
all a games right now again we are looking for
some interesting the Jets Packers Game three three. Packers have
the ball. Can they find a way to get in
the end zone against the Jets? On the Giants are
hanging in there at home against the Ravens. Jets and
Giants that could mind seven and three heady into week six.

(01:20:52):
Al Right, we got a lot more coming up. Second

He throws to the mental passes cod touchdown Patriots and
it is the first for Tyon Tarton. Start to get
the Sivert go. That is the Sports Hub and the
Patriots radio networks. So the New England Patriots have a
seventeen to sixth lead on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio and we are

irac dot com will help get you there an unmatched selection, fast,
free shipping, free road hazard protection, over ten thousand recommended installers.
Tirac dot com the way tire buying should be. I've
got good news. I've got good news. We have our

(01:21:57):
first score, first touchdown score in this Jets game. How
about that? How about that? And it's coming from the Jets,
not the Packer. Parson Barrios on a twenty yard rush,
Zerline kicks the extra point. It's good. A ten three
uh lead for the New York Jets visiting lambeau Field

(01:22:18):
against these Green Bay Packers. So can you imagine if
the Packers lose this game at home? We will have
a topic Aaron Rodgers meltdown, that is for sure. By
the way, the Ravens have added a field goal. They
still lead the Giants now thirteen to seven to go
on the third quarter. There also, the Buccaneers have had

(01:22:39):
their fourth field goal suck up a twenty four yard
or Steelers still lead the Buccaneers thirteen twelve, but Tom
Brady just thirteen of twenty seven past in this game.
They can't get in the end zone, cannot cannot get
in the end zone. And I think it's largely attributed
to the fact that they can't get any sort of
run game going in the first half, and that's now

(01:23:00):
trickled into the second half. You know, look, Tom Brady,
he's great, he's the goat. But when you're running the
football the way the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been over
the past couple of weeks, you're putting a lot on
his plate. Right now from scrimmage, they have sixty yards rushing.
So clearly the Pittsburgh Steelers are saying, hey, look, they've
got some injuries on the outside. Uh, the only way

(01:23:23):
they can hurt us is if they run the ball
effectively against us. Let's shut down the line of scrimmage,
and if we get beat by the goat, fine, we
get beat by the goat. And so far it's been
a winning strategy. Right now, Steelers leading thirteen twelve, Jacksonville
leading on the road against the Colts one to thirteen
inside nine minutes ago on the third quarter. This game
has been about Jacksonville's running game. They have a hundred

(01:23:45):
and ninety four yards rushing average. Get this, twelve yards
to carry. Of course, Hascy had that sixty one yard
touchdown run, but all three scores on the ground, including
Trevor Lawrence, a couple of quarterback keepers. He's only thrown
ten passes, but he has nine completions, seven than the
six yards. We get back to Peterson. Doug Peterson taken
over as the coach of this Jacksonville team, trying to

(01:24:07):
get things right after the disaster that was Urban Meyer.
And you get a sense, because he's an offensive coach,
still trying to find the right mix between the running game.
How much do I want to lean on my quarterback
Trevor Lawrence, who's developing right now. But today it's about
their running game. Yeah, it absolutely is. And and really
it's more than that. It's about explosive plays from the

(01:24:27):
Jacksonville Jaguars right now. Uh. Travis Etienne has a forty
eight yard long rush. You mentioned the Jamachael Hasty rush
of sixty one yards in the score. James Robinson has
a fourteen yard rush, Jamal Agnew has a fourteen yard rush.
Tim Jones has a twenty yard pass reception. Travis Etienne
a twenty two yard reception on the day. So they're

(01:24:50):
they're getting chunk plays and that's really important against the
team with a good defense, the Indianapolis Colts. You can
say whatever you want about their offense, it is not
clicking right now. They sit at that to two and
one record and defending their home turf. The biggest problem
from the Innianapolis Colts has been their offense. Defense pretty
good and they've been owning the time of possession in

(01:25:11):
this game twenty one minutes to sixteen by Jacksonville. But
Jacksonville keeps getting these chunk plays and that's the reason
why they leaden right now. By the way, Matt Ryan
just passed Dan Marino. Pass Dan Marino on the all
time career NFL passing yard list. Well, if you play me,

(01:25:31):
Matt Ryan is an automatic Hall of Famer. If you
play in the NFL for long enough, right and we
are seeing the quarterback position protected better than any time
in the history of this sport, you're gonna be able.
If you're talented, and Matt Ryan, unquestionably is you're gonna
be able to compile a tremendous amount of yards passing.
Does that make your Hall of Famer? By the way,

(01:25:51):
next on the list to him pass is Philip Rivers.
Philip Rivers. Absolutely. Look, it's one of these things, you know,
me my, but put them all and it's a museum.
Who cares? Yeah I know that, Yeah, I mean, but
there's also something to be said for longevity. Him should
in the rich Omburger Hall of Fame. Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan,
come to the party. Let me ask you at the table.

(01:26:13):
We were at a golf tournament recently and it ran
into Andrew Whitworth. Yeah. Is that a Hall of Famer
without a doubt, without without a doubt, without a doubt.
The Rams missed him at all this year without a doubt,
the same exact answer. Yeah. If they had a Hall
of Fame left tackle, their season will be looking a lot,
a lot different. Oh, we have another score also to

(01:26:35):
update everybody on. It looks like the Cincinnati Bengals just
got into the end zone. Am I seeing this correctly?
They're about to attack on Yeah, they're about to tack
on the extra point. Who just scored for them? You
gotta see it. Jamar Chase short passed to the right,
Jamar Chase gets in and the extra point is good.
So New Orleans still leads, but only by a margin

(01:26:57):
of two points one Saints over the Bengals right now
in New Orleans. Alright, let's hear that Jets score an
end around the Braxton Barrios on first down. That's a
block after twenty left sideline at the ten. He's in.
That's a Jet touchdown, Jets Radio Network. So that ten
to three lead for the Jets on the road against

(01:27:19):
the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, the Vikings are leading the
Dolphins ten to three. This has been another game that's
been forgettable. Minnesota has no offense in this game. None.
I mean they have fourteen yards rushing. Dalvin Cook seven
carries eleven yards. Kirk Cousins has thrown for less than
a hundred yards, but still leading in Miami team. Can
I say this? Skyler Thompson was a lot better than

(01:27:40):
Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater came in after Thompson hurt his hand
when his hand hit the helmet of a Minnesota defensive lineman.
Bridgewater has been awful. He's six and fourteen fifty eight
yards in a pick. Has no offense. Indianapolis just got
all the way down to the five yard line and
Dion Boxon just forces his way into the end zone.

(01:28:02):
Run up the middle. Do you automatically go for two here?
All right? Now you're tilling by two. It's the third quarter.
Jacksonville has looked pretty good today. I go for the
two point conversion in this situation. Yeah, well they're going
for two right now. So it's twenty one nineteen Jacksonville.
We got five forty four to go in the third
quarter in that game. Uh but yeah, this Miami offense

(01:28:26):
with the Teddy Bridgewater Wolf non existed. Ryan throws in
the end zone and cot Uh did he catch it? Yeah? Yeah,
Pittman Jr. On the receiving end of a corner route
where he got a little bit of a push off there,
but able to adjust to an underthrown ball by Matt
Ryan and catches for the scores. So that's two points.

(01:28:48):
It is an even ball game, twenty one all in
Indianapolis against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Why is Teddy Bridgewater so bad?
I mean they brought the rood and Skyler Thompson. I
don't get it with Teddy Bridgewater. Everyone keeps hanging onto
this idea that after that devastating Nitnor injury, when Teddy was,

(01:29:09):
you know, looking like a premier NFL quarterback. He just
he hasn't he went to New Orleans memory, he started
rolled that way for a couple of weeks. There got
some wins when Drew Brees was out, and all of
a sudden he was a hot commodity again. I'm watching him.
I'm sorry. There's just not a whole lot there, and
Miami's paying the price for it right now, still trailing
the Vikings by a score of ten to three. Let's

(01:29:30):
hear that Cincinnati score. Burrow waits for the shotgun snap
back at the twenty, it's first and ten. At the fifteen,
Burrow catches, looks fired, Chase touchdown. Burrow threw a bullet
right on the money, Chase does the gritty, a little
restraint there. Finally Bengals Radio network, So the scene still

(01:29:52):
really the same three to twenty one. Joe Burrow is
having some pretty good numbers today. Four yards, touchdowns, no picks.
That's a passer rating of one twelve. And and just
to answer your question about Bridgewater, because I know we
we had to get the Jamaar Chase score in there,
but look, here's the deal. This is a guy who's competent.

(01:30:13):
He started a lot of games in this league not
looking great today. I agree with you, but um oh,
we got a block punt by the Jets against Green
Bay and it's gonna be right back for touchdown. Holy
that their second block punt of the day. Something's wrong
green Bay. So that's the second block punt in the game.

(01:30:37):
Both sides now have a block. This one a touchdown
for the Jets with the scoop and score the Packers. Wow.
And that's the Barrios twenty yard rush on the prior drive.
So seventeen three Jets are leading the backers in green Bay.
This is not good for Green Bay. The Packers. And

(01:30:58):
we have a New England touchdown hunter, Henry from Bailey Zappy,
all by himself. Busted coverage had to be I mean,
how did he get that open? So it's Bailey Zappy.
He's the hottest quarterback in the league right now. So
now it's a twenty three six lead for for the
New England Patriots in Cleveland. Let's see what happened here.

(01:31:19):
Nobody went with Henry. It looked like on the play
action passed, so it was all by himself toward the
left sideline. Yeah, that beautiful job. On third and one,
by the way, so instead of running it, everybody's close
to the line of scrimmage. Hunter Henry got behind the
dfenseby making my Bailey zappy. How about this, He's seventeen
of two hundred fifty yards, two touchdowns, no picks. That's

(01:31:40):
a passer radiu one seven point one. Meanwhile, on the
other side, Jacoby ver said ten of two hundred yards,
no touchdowns, two picks, a passer radia of twenty one eight.
I laugh because the fact of the matter is you
have your starting overall quarterback on the bench nursing an ankle,

(01:32:01):
and Baily's appy is looking pretty good. Is he better
say it? Right now? Bailey's appy right now is better
than look. Mac Jones in his rookie season took the
Patriots and not a very good Patriots offense to the playoffs.
Right now, mac Jones is a better quarterback, But Bailey's
appy is making an argument. I don't know if you're
gonna do it. By the way, the Giants, trailing the

(01:32:21):
Ravens thirteen to seven, have a second and two at
the Ravens seventeen yard line, so the Giants haven't done
a whole lot in this game. But they've been hanging around. Uh,
look at this total yards in this game. Baltimore has
three hundred and twenty. The Giants have a hundred and
forty seven. And yet the Giants are in the red

(01:32:44):
zone right now. A touchdown would give them the lead.
Let's hear that Colts score, Bear's Campbell emotion to the
left side and they hand off to the jackson Jon
touch down. It alright, Colts Radio on network, they added

(01:33:06):
the two point conversion? Was that two point conversion taken
off the board? What what happened there? Because I'm looking
at the score. Yeah, Oh, they're saying Pittman didn't catch it. Yeah,
there was reviewed, so there was no two point conversion
and the Jacksonville Jaguars still lead the Colts by a
score of one. On the reception, we were saying, wow,

(01:33:27):
it was a late signal, and it's because he was
gathering the football underneath his body, kind of hiding it
away from the official who was the side judge near
that pylon. And they originally said it was a tie
ball game at twenty one, and now Jacksonville's ensuing drive
after the touchdown they lead in Indianapolis. All right, let's

(01:33:49):
Let's let's get one Jets highlight in right here, Jets
the parts, let's down to the ground and it's scooked
up parts heads. Towards the ends of touchdown, it looks
like Michael Clemens came through and plucked the parts World
parks with the scooping score Jets Radio Networks seventeen to three,

(01:34:09):
the Jets leading the Packers on the road forty three
to go in the third quarter. All right, things are
heating up with these eight games around the NFL. Keep
it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Steve
Harman and Richard Arburger. Welcome back to Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. We are live from the ti iraq dot
Com studios. Couple of developments right now. The Vikings as

(01:34:32):
we head into the fourth quarter, leading the Dolphins ten
to three. They have a first and goal at the
Miami eight yard line. Dolphins simply do not have any
offense in this game. Meanwhile, the Saints leading the Bengals
twenty three to twenty one. They have a fourth down
at the Cincinnati thirteen. Looks like they're gonna go for
a field goal here. Saints leading the Bengals by a

(01:34:52):
score of twenty three. To twenty one. By the way,
the Giants ended up settling for a field goal. Ravens
still lead that game thirteen to ten. That game is
heading to the fourth quarter. But overall, it's been a
pretty quiet day offensively around the NFL. Yeah. Um, especially

(01:35:13):
in this Pittsburgh Steelers Tampa Bay game. Um. That game
offensively for the Steelers can only be described as a disaster.
The Pittsburgh Steelers offense, which by the way, did not
look great with Drabinsky either. He is not looking great
with Kenny Pickett. Um. Trabinsky was scapegoaded. I mean, Matt

(01:35:38):
Canada has not been able to call a truly successful
offense and without a quarterback who's been around this league
forever like Ben Roethlisberger, it's really it's really looking ugly.
I mean it's really awful. Touchdown Minnesota Adam feeling gets
in the end zone? Was that Kirk Cousins as Yes,

(01:36:01):
And so now it's a sixteen three lead for the
Minnesota Vikings over those Miami Dolphins, who are back and
forth between quarterbacks over the past four weeks. Teddy Bridge
order started the game, or excuse me, uh, Skyler Thompson
started the game. Knocked out teddy Bridge order went into
the game and they now trail by thirteen. At home.

(01:36:22):
Packers have finally scored a touchdown Rogers to Lazard and
uh they are still trailing the Jets seventeen to ten,
two and a half minutes to go on the third
quarter in that game. Uh, Aaron Rodgers two yards, one touchdown,
no picks. But it's been slow going against the Jets
team that has no offense. I mean they only had

(01:36:43):
a hundred fifty six total yards in this game, but
they had a block punt return for a touchdown. That
now is the difference in the game. Jets leading to
the Packers by a score of seventeen to ten. And
they have the ball right now and Jets, uh looks
like they're gonna pick up a first down here near midfield. Wow, yeah,
this is Uh, it's turned into a little bit of

(01:37:03):
an offensive game now in the second half. Took a
very long time for either offense to wake up today.
It was a three three ball game at halftime. And
after the blocked punt and score by the Jets, the
Packers finally respond and so back and forth we go
into a grinded out battle between the New York Jets
and the Green Bay Packers. Packers could go back to

(01:37:25):
back weeks losing to both New York teams if they
failed to beat the Jets at home. Hold on, what
do we got? First missed extra point of the day
courtesy of the Vikings. Joseph missed the extra point. So
the Vikings lead Miami by a score of sixteen, and
we got a Saints score as well. It was a

(01:37:46):
field goal, okay, so they tacked on three extra They
lead one in New Orleans over the Bengals. Alright, so
the one game most further along when we talk about
the Falcons and the forty niners. Marcus Mariota has had
a great day for Atlanta. How good? How about thirteen
of fourteen nine yards, two touchdowns not pis That would

(01:38:07):
be a pass the radio of a hundred and forty
four point six. By the way, the max is one
fifty eight point three. So he has actually outplayed Garoppolo,
who suddenly has thrown a couple of interceptions in this game.
And that's why Atlanta is leading San Francisco by a
score of eight to fourteen. So as soon as I start,
you know, champion Jimmy Garoppolo, he throws a couple of interceptions.

(01:38:31):
And this is a game you probably think going in,
Oh yeah, I like the forty Niners against Atlanta, but
the Falcons in control inside ten minutes ago in the
fourth quarter. This is important to remember the scheduling for
these teams because this is a part of the season
where the rubber meets the road and everybody starts getting
those bye week eyes. And the San Francisco forty Niners

(01:38:51):
just won a big game on the road against Carolina Panthers,
which brought them up to a winning record on the year,
but at what cost. You know, they had a bunch
of juries. They are definitely worse for wear after that one,
and then they had to go back on the road
to Atlanta. Uh, cross country travel again. So it's one
of those things where that has an effect on you.

(01:39:12):
And so as a result, the Forts play is representative
of that. And look, I don't want to overstate it
because Mariota he hasn't been incredible this season, but he's
been credible this season. He's had some good days, he's
had some bad He's putting together more good days than
bad though, And with this Arthur Smith offense, which they

(01:39:33):
are reliant on the run game in most of these matchups.
I just I just like the makeup. I think I
think that he calls a good game, and I think
Mariota looks good in that system. Well, there's one guy
that blays a Mariota. It's Arthur Smith. Going back to
their Tennessee days. By the way, the Ravens have completely
dominated the stats in this game against the Giants. They

(01:39:54):
have three hundred and ninety three total yards to one,
one to one, and yet it's a thirteen to tend
game Ravens and Giants. But the Ravens right now are
in the red zone. They have a second agal and
it is a touchdown. Is that Mark Andrews. It is

(01:40:14):
Mark Andrews in the end zone, And so that blows
that game open a little bit wider, gives a little
bit more breathing room for the Baltimore Ravens. It'll be
if they can tack on the extra point of twenty
to ten disparity in New York over the Giants, who,
like you said earlier in this broadcast today, Steve, they're
just hanging around. They gotta sniff at winning this game.

(01:40:36):
If they can just get an offensive drive together here
to answer back after the Andrew's touchdown. By the way,
a win for the Ravens will give them a perfect
three and old road record this year. Uh, the Giants
coming in this game, were they legit right now? At
least offensively, They're not? Give us another highlights Sam Packer's

(01:40:56):
going a quick huddle now. Jones on the left side
of Rogers in the gun three receiver's right Toungyon standing
up left side of the line. On first and tent snap,
Rogers looks and fires down the lights makes the Cats
touchdown three of the game w r N W Packer's
right in network. Still trailing the Jets seventeen to ten,

(01:41:18):
coming to the end of the third quarter. By the way,

(01:41:40):
free home delivery Big green egg dot Com. All right,
let's find what's Uh, let's trending right now. I'll tell
you what's trending. The Jets. Breece Hall just scampered for
a huge rush and a score. They're all right, So
the Jets all over this Packard team. But let's find
out from Brian Finley exactly what is going on on
a busy sun day around the NFL. Brian, Yes, Rich

(01:42:03):
and Steve will get to that Jets Packers game in
a moment, but you're interested in scoring a chance to
to watch Mr Robinsky out on the field. That's what's
happening right now for the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's because the
rookie and starting quarterback Kenny Pickett being evaluated for a
concussion and he is questionable to return in this game.
The Steelers are up thirteen to twelve on the Buccaneers.

(01:42:25):
Just finished up the third quarter. Tom Brady fifteen of
twenty nine through the year one hundred sixty eight yards.
He's been sacked twice, no touchdown, tosses, no interceptions, and
also in the second half is tight on Cameron brad
suffering what has suspected another head injury. As scary scene
as he was taken off in a Stretcher elsewhere happening

(01:42:46):
in the NFL right now. Those New York Jets we
mentioned at twenty four to ten, they lead against the
Packers about a minute less or so into the fourth quarter.
Aaron Rodgers did throw a touchdown toss in the third
quarter he found Allan Lazard, as Steven Enriched mentioned, But
it's the Jets who also profited off a blocked punt

(01:43:07):
and then ran that back for a score via Will
Parks who got it to the crib. There was also
the Colts now taking a lead against the Jaguars here
with the first score in the fourth quarter. Seven remaining
in the fourth quarter. Matt Ryan his numbers three twenty
yards passing, two touchdowns, no scores. He's not been sacked

(01:43:28):
Trevor Lawrence. They haven't really made him throw it a
whole lot, thirteen of fifteen in that category. No touchdowns
through the year. He does have two on the ground,
but of note four sacks that he has faced a
couple of interceptions from Jimmy Garoppolo, and the forty Niners
are playing from behind against the Falcons. Four left in

(01:43:49):
the fourth quarter. One of the many games that can
be seen on Fox television. Uh, Brady Zappy has a
nineteen for twenty seven. Really, excuse me, Bailey Zappy has
a nineteen for twenty seven output so far through the air,
two touchdown tosses, and the Patriots are starting to pull
away from the Browns now twenty four to nine, early

(01:44:12):
stages of the fourth quarter. Another game to mention. The
Vikings are up sixteen to ten as they have added
on to their lead, and the Dolphins are playing with
their backup quarterback and this one Teddy Bridgewater after their
starter in this game, Skyler Thompson went out with an
injury to his thumb on his right hand. The Ravens
are up on the Giants twenty to ten. Lamar Jackson

(01:44:35):
has a touchdown toss through Yeah, through the air, and
that one is two minutes into the fourth quarter. And
finally Rich and Steve in New Orleans, it's been a
field goal fest of late for the Saints. Will Lutts
has been busy the place kickers twenty six to twenty one,
New Orleans over the Mangals. Eight thirty four left in
this game. And speaking of Will Lutts and what he's

(01:44:58):
done in the matchup, he's got four field goals. He's
four for four, including those two extra points. We did
see an extra point and missed by the Vikings. But
for Will Lutts, Rich and Steve, he has been on
and he has been a weapon for the Saints team.
Who are They're trying to win with any Dalton that's
their quarterback. Not easy, not easy because he's not putting

(01:45:21):
up many numbers today. But right now the Saints studently
that game one. All right, Brian will check in with
you a little bit later on. You mentioned the Vikings
missed an extra point, but not before this Galling cooked
a single set osborne in motioning the right perp looks
to the end zone right seas nothing pros weapon and touchdown. Kay,

(01:45:46):
fam Innneapolis and the Vikings radio network. However, Miami did
come up with that touchdown. You mentioned it Rich right
before we went to Brian there on. That touchdown was no, no, no,
it was brief, holl brief the Jets. I'm talking about Miami.
Gasecki got into the end zone on a touchdown pass

(01:46:07):
from Teddy Bridgewater sixteen ten, Vikings leading the Dolphins. Yeah,
we had the briefs all scores that up yet Sammy
y rattling most of the right side, Hills on the
left gets in the backfield. Alright, So that is the

(01:46:29):
Dolphins radio network. So they trail right now sixteen to
ten in that matchup against the Vikings. Meanwhile, here are
the Ravens getting on the board. Backs and alone in
the backfield, stands in the gun, takes the snap, Giants
bringing blitz log pass and so Mark Andrews Bobbles pulled
it in touch to ninety eight Rock Ravens Radio network.

(01:46:53):
That was the Andrews tuch. And we talked about earlier
Ravens leading the Giants eleven minutes ago in the fourth
quarter in that game. Uh and we did have rich
the Colts retaking the lead six to one. Gilanni Woods
tight end Matt Ryan has found him many times in
the end zone this season so far. He's having a

(01:47:15):
good year for a young tight end um. But yeah,
the Colts finally answering back through the second half, Jacksonville
has only been able to get on the board once
with that Trevor Lawrence touchdown rush you know, uh qb sneak.
But it's been all Colts in the second half. Yeah,
Matt Ryan thirty six of forty nine three yards, two touchdowns,

(01:47:38):
and no picks on a day in which he passed
Damn Marino on the all time career passing yards list. Uh. Meanwhile,
the Brown's got a field goal, but they are still
trailing the Patriots twenty four nine. That game just went
into the fourth quarter. The story of that game has
been Bailey zappy. Uh, the rookie quarterback is twenty eighties yards,

(01:48:00):
two touchdowns and no picks for New England. Uh. Once
again Belichick finding a way to set to keep his
head afloat as the Patriots with a scrambling quarterbacks and
everything else, just trying to get back to five. Yeah,
yeah there. Look, there are there are teams that even
when they have situations like injury or quarterback, they find

(01:48:23):
a way. And the Miami Dolphins, by the way, might
be one of those teams because they're putting up a
fight against this Minnesota Vikings team. This uh, this this
morning or afternoon, depending on where you're at, or actually
it's afternoon on both coasts. Now sixteen ten right now,
the Minnesota Vikings leading. But we had that Jets touchdown earlier,
thirty four yard rush for Breece Hall, Zach Wilson takes

(01:48:44):
the snap counter handoff up there. He's at the thirty
funny right touchdown. Yeah, Jets Radio network, so they're yeah,
there you go. He's a a State fan right there
with breeze of the rookie looking solid. Jets twenty four

(01:49:05):
and ten on the road against the Packers. I mean,
do you realize the Jets win this game? They go
to four and two? Yeah, yeah, that is. There's a
lot of things I can't believe right now. You have
a four and one Giants team in the NFL. You
have a four and two potentially if they get to win,
Jets team in the NFL. I I don't know what

(01:49:26):
we're watching, but we're in some weird, you know, parallel
universe where these New York teams have finally figured it out.
It's it's a little premature. We got a long season
ahead of us. Get another another highlight here, Sam three
bucks to left. That's the wide side of the field.
Bind running our shop, that staff. He takes it backs
the throw looking left, fires that way and in the

(01:49:48):
end zone Hi pulled the ball is alright. So that's
the Colts Radio network. As we mentioned, the Colts now
lead the Jaguars by or of twenty six two twenty one.
By the way, a little bit of a concerning play
on a first down rush from se Kwon, Barkley landed

(01:50:10):
hard on his shoulder, might have just been a dead arm,
Maybe landed funny on a nerve or something. He went
off for a place back in On a third and
one play down at the Baltimore Ravens eleven yard line,
they elect to go for the QB sneak and it's
Daniel Jones who absolutely converted there, and so they're inside
the ten yard line seven minutes left in this game

(01:50:32):
against the Baltimore Ravens. They trailed by ten, and Barkley
has been the whole show for this Giant's offense. He's
been resurrected in some ways after that rookie season. He
had that breakout year and then he's been injured the
rest of his career so far. This season though healthy
and back in really anchoring this offense, and it's an
offense that is lacking any other stars other than himself.

(01:50:55):
Like he's grinning out today as long as runt today
as eight yards a just rhnding it right now. But
the Giants who have been completely destroyed as far as
the stats in this game are now first intent at
the ten yard line, so they are trying to get
in the end zone down twenty attend as you mentioned,
seven two to go in the fourth quarter, the Ravens

(01:51:17):
lead that game. Uh. You know, I always sit there
right now at this point of our show, and I'm
trying to figure out which games are gonna be going
down to the wire. Uh, And often we think certain
games that have been put away aren't right now. One
game that is still alive is the Dolphins and the Vikings. Uh.

(01:51:38):
Dolphins have the ball right now, trailing sixteen to ten
against the Vikings. That has been a struggle for the Dolphins. Uh.
Skyler Thompson, the rookie, started the game. He got injured
in his hand throwing a hand hit the helmet of
a Vikings defender. Teddy Bridgewater came off the bench. He
struggled initially, but it now seems the Bridgewater is sort

(01:52:00):
of finding the mark now. New York Giants touchdown reception
to Daniel Bellinger, former San Diego State Aztec on a
crossing route and yeah, he just high points a nice
pass from Daniel Jones and they get in the end zone.
So that is now a twenty to sixteen game in
New York Baltimore, still leading and the extra point. We're

(01:52:23):
waiting to see if they can make this a three
point game. There, it's up. It's good. And so oh
did that hit up right? No, it's good. Okay, wasn't
down the middle of it was awful. Daniel Bellinger, by
the way, you saw his whole career at San Diego State.
I mean he is a physical specimen. Oh no, he's
a big receiver. Think of what Gronk looks like. Um,

(01:52:46):
that's exactly what Daniel Bellinger looks like. Now will he
play like Ronk? Will find out. But he scored a
touchdown there, and a much needed one. They trailed by
three in New York Baltimore over Giants. Right now, minutes
left to play. Teddy Bridgewaters discovered hees has Tyreek Kill
as a receiver. Uh, and he's starting to throw the
ball to Tyreek Hill, a lot who has nine catches

(01:53:07):
for a hundred and thirty seventh yards in this game.
And Miami's trying to get back in this one. Trailing
the Vikings sixteen to ten. We got seven minutes to go.
Uh in the fourth quarter. But they're moving right now.
Bridgewater is beginning to find the mark. But it's how
much better a quarterback you are when you actually throw
the ball in Tyreek Hills direction. Nine catches hundred and

(01:53:29):
thirty seven yards receiving in this game. Another game coming
down to the wire as the Bengals just made a
much closer New Orleans Saints lead at home. Uh. It
was Evan McPherson who just made a fifty two yarder
and that brings this game within two. It'll be Saints
ball when play resumes. Three forty one left in the game.

(01:53:51):
All right, the Vikings have just sacked Teddy Bridgewater. That
will set up a third and long as we head
down the stretch, a lot more come en up. Just
keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the

Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right,
that's w FINN Giants Radio Network. Somehow, some way, the

(01:54:36):
Giants are hanging in there. Three minutes to go in
the fourth Ravens still leading the Giants by a score
of twenty to seven. Team Welcome back. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the tire

Dribinsky in the gun. Naji stands to his left right
side to his right double slot. That way, long count

(01:54:57):
gets the snap. He's bat fires for the end. Joe
touchdown four w d V one or two five FM
Steelers Radio Network. So, with eight minutes ago in the
fourth quarter, the one in four Steelers leading the Tom
Brady lead Buccaneers twenty to twelve. Bucks have the ball

(01:55:19):
right now. They are in Steeler territory. Brady's got very
ordinary numbers. The good news for Tampa they balanced their
passing game with a running game, but they have yet
to score a touchdown. Um, we just had a lead
change in this New Orleans Saints Bengals game. Jamaar Chase
just caught a six yard touchdown pass from his quarterback,

(01:55:43):
Joe Burrow. They now lead thirty to twenty six in
New Orleans. An unbelievable job by Burrow getting that to Chase.
I mean, is there a more dynamic pairing in the NFL?
When these two are on It's ridiculous. A great match up.
There also Lamar Jackson through an interception. The Giants now
have a second and ten at the Baltimore thirteen yard line,

(01:56:07):
and the Giants have a Jets to take the lead
or at least tie this game against the Ravens, who
we all right now, it's getting worse for the Packers
because the Jets are back in the red zone and
they lead in in Green Bay right now. I don't
know really what to say about the Packers season this
year other than it maybe over before I got started.

(01:56:29):
Got Aaron Rodgers sitting on the sideline and just looking
despondent as he sees his defense not able to stop
this Jets offense and his offense has only been able
to muster ten points so far. With only five minutes
left in the game. By the way, for the Dolphins,
there drive in it with a Wattle fumble and the
Vikings took advantage. They have scored and added a two

(01:56:51):
point conversion, so with three fifteen to go on the
fourth course of the Vikings now in control on the
road against the Dolphins, leading that game by a score
of twenty four to ten. We're at the two minute
warning right now in Atlanta. The Falcons have the ball
and the lead fourteen over the forty Niners. Inside seven

(01:57:11):
minutes ago, the Browns have the ball, uh in the
red zone against the New England Patriots, but still down
twenty four to nine in that game. But getting back
to that Jets Packers game, Wow, get out here, Aaron
Rodgers at home and uh, they're gonna lose this game
to the Jets most likely Jets third and one at
the Green Bay now have a first and goal at

(01:57:33):
Green Bay's three yard line. Unbelievable. What's happened uh in
this game so far? I mean the sideline shots looking
at Matt Lafleur, head coach of the Packers, Aaron Rodgers,
who's now warming up his arm again. I mean, everybody
just looks quiet. They just start watching and disbelief again
as their season is slipping through their fingers. Uh. Dalvin
Cook was the um the rusher on the score for

(01:57:55):
the Minnesota Vikings, by the way, after the turnover fifty
three yard rushing touch down for Dovin Cook, the two
point conversion was good to Adam Feeling, who's had a
nice day as well. So that's what put the Vikings
lead maybe out of reach. Three minutes left. Can they
get two touchdowns? Miami ball, We'll see Jacksonville Indianapolis just

(01:58:20):
got an interception, so they answered that question most likely
is no. Yeah, game over there. Christian Kirk four yard
touchdown Pastor and Trevor Lawrence two point aversion. No good.
Jacksonville is leading Indianapolis twenty seven to twenty six. We
got two and a half minutes to go uh in

(01:58:40):
that game, so we got some we got some finishes.
We got some finishes. I will say this with the
most surprising game so far as Pittsburgh leading twenty to
twelve late in this game and playing this Tampa Bay
Buccaneers team extremely tough. I mean, every time you count
out of Mike Tomlin team, they find a way to
impress you. And I am impressed with what the Steelers
have been able to do today. I'm trying to get

(01:59:01):
to that Giants Ravens game. All right, Third and three
now at the Ravens six yard line. Ravens lead twenty
to seventeen. This Giant drive was set up by an
interception thrown by Lamar Jackson. Statistically, the Ravens have destroyed
the Giants today. But the Giants at the very least
trying to get a field goal to tie this one.
But they have a third and three at the Ravens

(01:59:24):
uh six yard line. Do you guys see that game
at all? It's up here, It's up here on screen.
There it is right there. Okay, now there we go.
So yeah, it's uh look, I mean absolute slugfest. Um here,
here's the deal with the Giants. I mean, whether or
not they win this game. The Giants are real. The
Giants are real. I mean it's twice they've they've kept

(01:59:48):
it close to the entire game. In fact, they were
they were trailing by two scores in the second half.
They found a way not only to slow down Baltimore,
but to potentially win this game. As Daniel Jones is
looking at that end zone and is that intercepted? It
is Daniel Jones just through an interception in the end zone.
How do you throw this pass? Did he get hit

(02:00:09):
as he threw a going backwards down on the plate,
but it was a late flag. It might be roughing
the quarterback it could be it came from the defensive
backfield though this might have been a past interference on
there was and John Harbaugh is shaking his head as
they show a sideline shot, so we'll see what this.

(02:00:29):
This is a crucial call and he is shaking his head,
so it looks like it's gonna be against the Ravens here.
But again for Daniel Jones, no no, no, no, no,
you do not throw that pass again when you're down
three two minutes. Dude, No, no, no, that's p I.
That's p I. Look at this because yeah, just a
full handful of jersey. And was that Peters who ended? Yeah? Yeah,

(02:00:54):
oh yeah, all right, well it's it's still not a
great pass. I mean, he got lucky on that one
because he's throwing off his back foot. All right, big
finishes coming out. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

(02:01:37):
they're going to be able to as long as the
run game keeps going the way it's been grind out
the rest of the clock. I'm amazed by this. Brian
day Ball led se Kwon Barkley led Daniel Jones led
New York Giants team, I mean, what has happened in
New York? Well, they steal this game again. The Ravens

(02:01:57):
completely dominated the majority of the scheme, but the Giants,
we kept saying, well they're hanging around. Was twenty to
ten Ravens and the Giant score too. They had a
pick of Lamar Jackson, now a strip fumble and with
one to go they have a second and five inside
the ten yard line of the Ravens. This is the

What an incredibly intelligent and selfless play by sa Kwan Barkley.
So he breaks out to the outside and it looks

(02:02:39):
like he's about to score and he slides at the
one yard line. Um, I mean, that's exactly what you're
supposed to do. That's exactly what you're supposed to do
in that situation. So they have an opportunity now to
continue to wind the clock Baltimore, how to burn another
time out with one seven team left on the clock
when an entirely selfless and smart play by the Penn

(02:03:01):
State or say, Kwonbark, did you have to mention the
Penn State position. I'm just saying he's a smart guy,
and a lot of smart guys came out of Penn
State during this long, illustrious tradition of success. And now
they get to kneel on the football and win this
football game. As opposed to just enjoying, you know, basking

(02:03:22):
the warm glow of everybody patting you on the back
for your most recent touchdown. What's more important our team wins,
and that's the Penn stay way. Well, depending on what unbelievable,
depending on what happens in tonight's game between the Cowboys
and the Eagles, the Giants couldn't find themselves in a
three way tie for first in the NFC East as
they go to five and one on the season. Of course,

(02:03:43):
they'll be the four one Cowboys on the road against
the five and old Eagles tonight. Uh. All right, a
couple of finals already in The Falcons did beat the
forty Niners twenty eight to fourteen. Uh. In this game,
Marcus Mariota thirteen fourte it's two touchdowns, no picks, so
he had a very nice day. Jimmy Garoppolo six two touchdowns,

(02:04:08):
but two interceptions sunk the forty Niners. So the Falcons
get to three and three. And how about the comfrom
behind win by the Bengals today? But you talk about
a must win for Cincinnati. Uh, they get back to
five hundred Joe Burrow today thirty seven three hunder yards passing,
three touchdowns and no picks. The Saints were leading throughout

(02:04:28):
most of this game, but the Bengals come back and
win it by a score of thirty to twenty six. Uh.
We have a new lead change in this Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars game, back and forth. Matt Ryan throws it
to Pierce. What was that? A thirty two yard touchdown
reception for Alec Pierce, So they're ahead again thirty two seven.

(02:04:52):
Oh my goodness, it's just been insane. A lot of
these games, slow starts down the stretch, a lot of fun.
So there's seventeen seconds left on the clock. Jacksonville get
the ball back after the kickoff. I mean, that game
is basically over there, and it was Jacksonville leading all
the way until that thirty yard thirty plus yard reception.

(02:05:13):
Looks like two point conversion attempt here for the Colts. Yeah,
Matt Ryan forty yeah, forty two, fifty eight passing, three touchdowns,
no picks. Pretty good when he had fifty eight pass
attempts and no picks could be the difference there for
the Colts trying to win that game against Jacksonville. Two
point conversion? Good nahem hinz is that who that is?

(02:05:35):
Got in for the score? So that will now be
a thirty four, twenty seven uh lead for the Innapolis
Colts hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. And it is Mitch Drabinski
back in the game. Facing a second and one on
the Tampa Bay side of the field. He just successfully
rushed for a QB sneak. The Steelers leading twenty to

(02:05:58):
eighteen late in this game, only a minute and forty
nine seconds left on the clock. Pittsburgh Steelers have a
first intent. Tom Brady looking on on the sideline right now. Yeah,
two point conversion attempt by the Buccaneers to tie this
game was no good. Brady passed to Godwin, did not score.
So the Steelers just trying to hang on here and

(02:06:18):
get a must win there. Meanwhile, it looks like Cleveland's
gonna come up short against New England. Still about four
and a half minutes to go in this game. The
Patriots have the ball and a nine point lead. Browns
did get a touch down. Their attempt for a two
point conversion failed. Big story here. Bailey Zappy thirty four
three nine yards passing two touchdowns, no picks. Meanwhile, Jacoby

(02:06:41):
Brissettes struggled just sixteen and thirty five. He has thrown
a couple of interceptions for Cleveland and Nick Chubb in
this game really just did not get off. I'm I
can't believe Cleveland just not running the ball today. Nick
Chubb came in as a leading rusher in the NFL
twelve carries fifty six yards per set. Throws at the
five times did not work. Meanwhile, it looks like the

(02:07:04):
Patriots have added what happened here, Patriots have added a touchdown.
A Thornton rush nineteen yard touchdown run by Thornton has
now given the Patriots a thirty one to fifteen lead
over the Cleveland Browns four and a half minutes to go.

(02:07:25):
Three receivers at all left right, throws down the nearest
sideline looking for Alec Pierce Peace Dad touchdown, touchdown, Aleck
Pierce starts touch down. Al Right, So that's Colts Radio
Network there, and that was the past that gave them
the lead in that game against Jacksonville. Alright, we have

(02:07:48):
a final in Pittsburgh eighteen victory. Mitchell Robinski finished out
the game for an injured Kenny Pickett. Uh. Difficult scene
there in Pittsburgh. Pickett got hit in the head and
was carded off the field. Uh. They they back braced
him as they removed him from the field to play.
So we'll have an update there as soon as available.

(02:08:08):
But yeah, that's a huge win for the Steelers because
they have looked completely disjointed over the early portion of
this season. But two and four much more respectable record
than one and five. In their first home win of
the ceiling season, in Pittsburgh Tampa Bay, Mey while they
dropped to three and three on the season. Tom Brady

(02:08:30):
uh during the course of this game looked okay, forty
passing to forty three through the air, one touchdown Leonard
four Nette and the rest of this rushing offense really
not up to snuff today and the Pittsburgh Steelers squeak
out the win. Jets have defeated the Packers final score
twenty seven to ten. Who saw this coming. Zack Wilson
was just ten of eighteen for a hundred and ten yards.

(02:08:52):
Breese Hall had a big day carries hundred sixteen yards
rushing and one touchdown. But really for the Packers, they
just didn't get owing offensively. Aaron Rodgers forty one two
forty six yards, that's less than ten yards of completion,
one touchdown. Note pics running game really didn't show up.
Aaron Jones just had nineteen yards rushing in this game.

(02:09:13):
So suddenly the Packers are three and three and the
Jets are four and two. Yeah, what's so weird about
this game is the Jets were one of eleven on
third down efficiency. But again, big plays out of the
run game, explosive plays, throughout the game? Was what able?
What what made it able for them to win this
ball game? And then you look on the other side.

(02:09:33):
Four of sixteen on third down for Aaron Rodgers in
this Green Bay offense. So yeah, slightly better than the Jets.
But this is so rare. I mean, but who does
he have to throw to on third down? Davante Adams
has gone, Romeo Dubbs is not ready for the spotlight.
Alan Lazard only can do so much and you can
only throw to your running backs as often as the

(02:09:55):
defense will allow. So huge question marks around this offense
for the Green Bay Packers. They fall to three and
two on the season. The Jets improved to three and
two on the year. All right, doesn't look like we're
gonna get any games to go down to the wire.
It is a final. The Coults have defeated the Jaguars
thirty four to seven. Again Matt Ryan forty two and

(02:10:15):
fifty eight, three eighty nine yards, three touchdowns and no picks.
Michael Pittman Jr. By the way, thirteen catchers hundred thirty
four yards in that game. So the Colts, uh, they
go to three two and one. The Jags are now
two and four. Charlotte's Web is the world's most trust

As Bailey Zappy greatest patre It's quarterback of all time.

(02:12:01):
Well he should change his Twitter bio. Yeah. Uh twenty
four thirty four, three and a nine yards too, touchdowns,
no picks, that's a passer. Radio one eight teen point four,
Welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We
are live from the ti iraq dot com studios. That
is the only game, uh still going if you can
call that scarbage time. Patriots are gonna beat the Browns

(02:12:23):
big to move to three and three on the season.
By the way, with that win, Bill Belichick will tie
George Hallis for second all time wins by a NFL
coach combining regular season and postseason. Of course, Belichick getting
to coach a lot more postseason games than George Hallis

(02:12:44):
back in the day, but they will tie at three
four When he combined the two regular season postseason Belichick
is still twenty three behind Don Shula. Now regular season wins,
Belichick is still third all time behind Shula and Hollis
but you got to think if you've coached this long,
you're gonna stick around until you get that record, I

(02:13:04):
would assume, So I would guess. I mean, it doesn't
seem like Belichick's board of doing what he's been doing
for decades now, and he's still got it. Billy's appy
is a third string quarterback and they're having success. And
that's a really good Cleveland Browns team that they just beat.
And I mean it from a personnel standpoint. Obviously, the Browns, uh,

(02:13:24):
you know, still trying to find their way this season
as well. But Patriots are playing everyone. Tough third and
sixth situation right now for the Seahawks down in the
low red a snap by Gino Smith in the Seahawks
offense that he'll be sacked on, so it looks like
they'll settle for a field goal as well. Arizona Cardinals
in their opening drive went for a field goal. They
got three out of it. Tough goal line stand by

(02:13:47):
the Seahawks to limit the damaged to only three. So
this will probably be a tie ball game here. And
now the Panthers are leading three nothing in l A
as the Rams have the football six minutes left in
the first quarter, facing a second and eighteen, Matthew Stafford
from the shotgun here, Yeah, everyone's talking about the Rams.

(02:14:08):
I mean, you're if any Super Bowl champions. What's wrong
with his team? When you go back a year ago,
they win the Super Bowl. Remember they were the fourth
seed in the NFC and yet they got to host
the NFC Championship game against the forty Niners. So a
series of upsets, including the Bram's winning on the road
against Tampa. But think of the acquisitions they made during

(02:14:29):
that season to get Odell Beckham Jr. To get Von Miller.
Both of them had a huge impact on the Rams
down the stretch to help him win that Super Bowl.
So you take those guys out of the mix, and
then a completely rebuilt offensive line today, Darryl Henderson Juniors
at running back, Cam Akers still trying to come back

(02:14:49):
from that achilles injury where he came back late. It
was a historic story last year. But he has him
in the same running back. I mean already in this game,
there's no there's no deep threat. Cooper Cup to catch
just nine yards in this game, Matthew Stafford three or
four eleven yards. They can't create any offense that dynamic
offense that we've seen in recent years, Sean McVeigh pushing

(02:15:11):
all the buttons has been absent all season long for
the Ramps. Yeah. Yeah, this this team really relies on
their run game. And even with Matthew Stafford at quarterback.
You saw it last year. I mean, don't get me wrong.
At times they can throw to Cooper Cup and Matthew
Stafford will have three hundred some odd yards passing and
Cooper Couple will be close to her over two hundred

(02:15:33):
yards receiving. That can happen, but that passing game is
largely predicated on the play action game. Cooper Cup gets
open not because he's streaking downfield and you know, just
beating everybody off the line. It's because there's so much
deception with the formations and the personnel packages in the
play action, so many ball fakes because you have to
respect the run. Last year from the rams that Cooper

(02:15:55):
Cup gets open on a crossing route and then he's
a good enough athlete to make your hurt. So he
turns a fifteen yard reception into a seventy yard touchdown
h yards after catch being about fifty. It's just it's
just that that kind of year for them last year.
This year it looks completely different because they can't establish
the run because their offensive line has been this mash

(02:16:16):
unit all season long. They haven't played with the same
offensive line twice this year yet last year a Cooper
Cup in his historic season average thirteen point four yards
to catch this year less than eleven ten point eight.
So it's been it's it's it's not the big play
offense we saw a year ago p J Walker at
quarterback for Caroline off to a decent start, four or
five thirty two yards, Like anything is better in Baker Mayfield.

(02:16:39):
I mean, if p J Walker plays respectable today, I mean,
are they gonna stay with Baker Mayfield if he's healthy
or what's the deal with Baker Mayfield? Look Baker Mayfield
for the past two seasons now and I'm including this
one and last, Uh, he hasn't looked like Baker Mayfield
on that playoff run. Baker looked like he was starting
to in a corner, starting to figure it out that year.

(02:17:03):
And it's just it's just it's just not it anymore.
And and this was really probably a last chance to
be a starting quarterback, a name starter at the beginning
of the season. Um, if P J. Walker, who by
the way, is a journeyman, a guy who came from
the spring football leagues like the Alliance of American Football,
beat you out for the starting position, you know what

(02:17:25):
it will be. Mayfield will be another one of those
first overall picks who turns into a career backup. By
the way, if you have McCaffrey on your fantasy football team,
a lot of you do off to a great start.
Four carries twenty seven yards, three receptions thirty one yards.
He's already had four of the five games with over
a hundred yards from scrimmage. So that's the key to Carolina.

(02:17:48):
And I mentioned yesterday, uh we were talking with Adam
Kaplan Rich and talk about Carolina, like what's their future
now that the matt rule situation has been resolved, And
he says, look, if they get a quarterback, this is
a nine or ten win team. They got talent on
this Panthers team, they just need a quarterback. If you
look around, I mean they're they're not hurting for guys

(02:18:11):
who could be potential stars. I mean, I think that
defense is really talented, especially up front on the defensive line.
I think that Christian McCaffrey. It's sort of like instant coffee.
Just add water and he can be incredible, you know,
I mean, but they just haven't had the water for
to pour into the coffee because no quarterback has really

(02:18:32):
been able to take any of the pressure off the
run game DJ more though, Robby Anderson. I mean, there
are other players who can really threaten you if you
have a competent quarterback, but they just don't, not yet
at least. All right, So Carolina with the ball and
the late three, nothing over the Rams White there by
the way, Welcome to our Fox Sports Radio tailgate presented

been talking about all day long is finally kicked off.

(02:19:17):
That would be the Bills and the Chiefs, and the
last time we saw these two teams go ahead ahead
in the postseason. It was one of the greatest playoff
games in NFL history. The Bills are favored two and
a half point favorites at Arrowhead against a four and
one Chiefs team. I'd have to look it up, but
the last time the Chiefs were an underdog at home,

(02:19:40):
I mean in the anti read era. It's been a
long time because everybody remembers the recent with Patrick Mahomes,
but they were great with Alex Smith at quarterbacks. Since
Sandy Reid took over, this has been a perennial playoff team.
Uh As, They've won what is a sixth straight a
f C West titles. So it's been a long time,
but that's where the oddsmakers feel. The public is looking

(02:20:03):
at the Bills as the clear best team currently in
the NFL. They leave the NFL and point differential. They've
given up the fewest points in the NFL this season.
Three of their four wins have been absolute blowouts. And
Josh Allen is big completion right there to get the
Bills started offensively. Yeah, he uh, he has some serious
threats around this offense. I mean, you look at Isai

(02:20:25):
Mackenzie and what he's been able to do Gabe Davis obviously,
and then Stefon Diggs. I mean those are three studs
at wide receiver and uh and yeah, I mean it's
just impossible. Pick your poison Gabe Davis on this one
and a sail route all the way across the field.
Josh Allen ranges who is right, knowing he has Davis there,
and they converted first down and looking across over midfield here,

(02:20:48):
and they can do it in the past game. The
question about the Bills is can they get it done
in the run game. Singletary has got a slow start
the season. It looks like they are at least efforting
early in this game to get him involved. Just got
nice eight yard carry out towards the Bill's sideline there.
But that's been the big question mark is if you're
gonna get a lead late in the game and try

(02:21:09):
to sustain, you need first downs. You need to lean
on your run game a little bit. Are they gonna
be able to do that as the season progresses. That's
only the only week point you can really point to
on this this Bill's offense. Yeah, you mentioned Gabe Davis. Well,
the last time the Chiefs saw Gabe Davis he had
eight catches for two d plus yards and four touchdowns,
and last week, Gave Davis had three catches for a

(02:21:30):
hundred and seventy one yards and two touchdowns, including a
ninety eight yard touchdown. So watching that first catch of
Gabe Davis wide open for a twenty t R reception,
I'm thinking, what are you doing? Uh? If I'm the Chiefs,
I'm paying attention to Gabe Davis right now. Yeah, and
they just convert another first down and so they're cross
midfield in Chief's territory early in this game. Twelve forty

(02:21:53):
three left in the first quarter, but the Bills are driving. Now,
this is the Chiefs team that's coming off of a
emotional victory against the a f C West rival and
the Raiders. They had to do everything in their power
to come back and win that game, including overcoming that
controversial roughing the passer call on Chris Jones where he
not only strips ACKed Derek car but fumble or recovered

(02:22:16):
the forced fumble that he uh that he stripped Derek
Car off. So it's it's it's one of those teams
that's resilient. So regardless of how it looks early against
the Bills here. You know, yeah, you always have to
give the Chiefs a puncher's chance, especially with Patrick Mahomes,
especially at home at Earrawhead where those Chiefs fans are
gonna be loud if if the Chiefs are competitive today

(02:22:39):
against the Bills. Find out what's trending right now. We
got eight games in the books, three games going on,
and Brian Fanley is gonna give us literally the minute
by minute of every single game. In other words, Richie
and I can lave because he's got He's a lot,
a lot of ground to cover here. This is gonna
get into the nitty gritty here. Let's start with the

(02:22:59):
three games that are happening right now. The Carolina Panthers
at SOFI Stadium taking on the Rams and it's three nothing,
Cats one thirty three left in the first quarter and
Christian McCaffrey six carries fifty two yards. The offense has
been focused on getting him the rock. P. J. Walker
is the starting quarterback for Caroline at five of seven
through the year, thirty seven yards. The Rams five plays

(02:23:22):
and a punt on their first offensive possession. Another game
that features two NFC West teams and the Cardinals and Seahawks.
That one is underway late in the first quarter. It's
three a piece and Kenneth Walker two carries fifty one
yards for the Hawks and that helps set up the
field goal as Kyler Murray is five of eight through

(02:23:43):
the air for fifty yards for the Cards. As they
have that one tied up early on no score between
the Bills and Chiefs. That one is just underway just
two or three minutes into the first Josh Allen though
three for three twenty three yards through the air. So
so far he is showing off his accuracy as far
as the games that have already wrapped up. The Patriots

(02:24:06):
storm past the Browns thirty eight to fifteen. New England
quarterback Bailey Zappy two touchdowns through the air. Romandre Stevenson
helping the cause for New England with two touchdowns on
the ground. The Falcons trouns the forty nine to fourteen.
Marcus Mariotta was responsible for three scores, two through the air,
one on the ground. How about the Jets as they

(02:24:29):
tear into the Packers at Lambo to tend I want
to read you these numbers from Jets defensive lineman Quinnin
Williams in this game. What a difference maker he was.
Five tackles, two sacks, three QB hits, one force fumble
and wait there's more, one blocked field goal. And there's
also a viral video coming out from after this game

(02:24:50):
where Jets Sauce Gardner walked into the tunnel with a
cheese head hat on and then Alan Lazard in the
tunnel ripped it off of his head. So so some
extracurricular stuff happening after the game. They're not a great
show of sportsmanship on Gardner's end. Meanwhile, the Colts relying
at Matt Ryan for some late game heroics where receivers

(02:25:13):
all left. Ran grows down the nearest sideline looking for
Alec Pierce, Please do it. Touch down, touch down, Alec
Pierce down, Colts Radio. That was was seventeen seconds. Romanian
the go ahead and what would be game winning score
for Indianapolis as they come back and beat the Jaguars

(02:25:35):
thirty four to seven. The Vikings are winners on the
road against the Dolphins twenty four to sixteen, where the
Vikes sacked the Dolphins at six times. We saw the
Teddy Bridgewater coming to the game off the bench after
Skyler Thompson exited with an injury to us right hand,
and Bridgewater was sacked five times. He did through two

(02:25:56):
interceptions and two touchdowns twenty nine yards passing. Dalvin Cook
had a touchdown on the ground for Minnesota. The Bengals
are winners and comeback fashion against the Saints thirty to
twenty six, and Joe Burrow in the second half found
Jamaar Chase for two touchdown tosses that made a big difference,
as those two fuel to since he come from behind

(02:26:19):
win as they are now three and three on this season.
The Ravens fall apart in the end their last two
offensive possessions in a twenty four to twenty lost on
the road to the Giants. Lamar Jackson interception and then
Jackson fumbles, so the Giants capitalizing on those late turnovers
and getting an opportunity to now boast a five and
one record. And finally, guys, the Steelers fend off the

(02:26:42):
Buccaneers twenty to eighteen. Tom Brady forty through the air
two hundred forty three yards and that one score. A
side note to this game, something we're tracking here is
the tight end for Tampa Cameron Braids. We got an
update on his health status of boarding to head coach
Todd Foles. Brady is still in the hospital being evaluated

(02:27:04):
by doctors. He does have all movement in his extremities.
This after another head injury. He was put on a gurney,
if you will, all secured in belts around his body,
just to make sure no movement, to be extra safe.
But good news on that front. But it was Mitch
Drabinski coming in in relief. Guys got a touchdown late

(02:27:24):
to guide the Steelers over the Buccaneers, who, as I
sent it back to Rachelnberg, Burger and Steve Hartman are
just three and three now, so kind of pedestrian the
middle to pack Tom Brady. That's not like him, No,
it's not. But let's give the Steelers a lot of credit.
Let's give Mike Tomlin a lot of credit. I mean,
the guy is gonna be in the Hall of Fame someday.

(02:27:44):
I still say, one of the most underrated coaches in
the league. I mean, they come in one and four,
they got a rookie quarterback, he goes down with the concussion,
you know. Drabinsky who gets bench comes in plays well,
and they and they find a way to win early
turnover in this Chief's Bill's game. Him, So Bills were
driving and do I did I see this right? Who
just coughed it up? Oh my gosh. He was supposed

(02:28:07):
to be a shovel pass too, singletary and I know
I wasn't single was Isaiah Mackenzie and he wasn't ready
for the pitch from Josh Allen. It hit him in
the face mask. And did the Bills recover that's the question?
Or did the Chiefs get the ball wasn't complete or
a fumble? Right? Was it a forward pass or not?
And they are saying first down Kansas City? Yeah, it

(02:28:31):
was a fumble recovered by the Kansas City Chiefs that
ruling it as a backward lateral and it was that
was clearly about a half yard court yard maybe a
foot behind Josh Allen. Wre is really a messed up play? Uh?
I mean I was what it sets up as is
just a quick pitch play. But they did it with

(02:28:52):
an underneath handoff fake and then Isaiah Mackenzie was supposed
to catch the pitch after faking the handoff. He wasn't
looking for it unless he was expecting it was gonna
come a little later. So Josh Allen on that opening
drive goes five for five for thirty yards singletary games
twenty seven yards RUNI and three carries and it results
in a turnover. So let's see what Patrick Mahomes and

(02:29:13):
this Chief's offense could do against the Bills team that
again has given up the fewest points so far this
year in the NFL. Alright, so, Arizona and Seattle are
tied at three and so far, we got a fourth
and fourth play from Kyler Murray down in the red
zone and is it caught? Did More come up with it?

(02:29:35):
It looks like he trapped it against the ground, so
be a turnover on down Seattle. Seahawks takeover at their
own fifteen yard line here with four fifty five left
in the second. I'm not sure why you go for
it there. I know these analytics keep telling you. I'm
still trying to figure out the analytics that had ran
in Staley go for it uh in a two point

(02:29:57):
lead in his own territory when at the time the
Browns had no time outs left. They didn't have time out,
so they're leading by two. Yes, they're at their own
forties six yard line. It's a fourth and one, but
let's be honest, it was a fourth and two. It
was like fourth and one and two and a half feet.
It was a long one, and they go for it.

(02:30:17):
They turn over the football and immediately the Browns turn
around and have an opportunity to win the football game
off of a fifty two yard field goal attempt that
mercifully missed for Brandon Staley, because if they would have
made and won that game with with with the decision
making that that on that fourth down conversion attempt, Brandon Staley,

(02:30:38):
I mean, you may you may get left on the tarmac.
I was mentioning this to the guys earlier. I was
I was looking at listening to an interview with the
guy that runs a think tank, and they're like, what
happens to a think tank? And he got frustrated. He goes,
here's what happened. We are handed the answer that they're
looking for. And so, in other words, our think tank
is trying to figure out a formula that's gonna get

(02:30:59):
to answer that they already want. I feel like a
lot of these analytics, like like you know, you find
me the analytics that tell me that I am justified
in making that decision that well we we we came
up with a formula it says, yes, that is the
right move. I I'm sorry. I think there's a place
for analytics, but I don't think it can dictate everything.

(02:31:22):
I don't disagree with you. But and and gut is
involved in football. Well, that's sort of why you're a coach, right,
right to make decisions. There's no question about it. And
it's and it's important. And if you don't go with
your gut occasionally and and by the way, analytics are
used even when you're going off of a feeling, I
I have a feeling that by the percentages, this is

(02:31:43):
the correct decision. The problem is when you make a
decision like that, what it says to the other side
of your team, Because while you're saying, hey, our offense,
I trust our offense to get that one yard, what
it says your defense is, okay, so flip this coin over.
That's Jacoby Brissette over there, okay, and gonna kick the
ball inside the twenty yard line most likely most likely
on no timeout. They have no time out. So you're

(02:32:05):
saying to your defense, you can't defend Jacoby Brissette and
an eight yard field with no timeouts, right, he would
have to get at least fifty yards to get into
field goal range. It's just that's the part of this
equation that you're not considering. If you're saying, hey, I
trust our offense, well, what's the inverse of that. It
means you don't trust your defense. And also if you
punted it, nobody bats an eye. That's the struggle you

(02:32:28):
have with coaches who take risks, especially on their own
side of the field, especially in those fourth and one situations.
All right, So the Seahawks right now tied at three
as the Cardinals went for and fourth down failed to
get it. Cardinals have a hundred and thirty one total
yards to sixty two so far for c L thirty
four of that on a Kenneth Walker run. Tino Smith,

(02:32:50):
who came into the game as the highest rated passer
in the NFL number one passer rating in the NFL,
and so far he's won for three for two and
yards are not throwing the ball? Am I missing something here?
Why are they not throwing the ball? Yeah, they're really
trust in the run game. I guess the thought process
was everybody thinks we're gonna zig. We're gonna go ahead

(02:33:10):
and zag. This offense has really been predicated around Gino
Smith and they haven't they And and Rashot Penny has
been great, don't get me wrong, but he's injured now,
so you figure you're gonna put the game on Gino
Smith's shoulder. And maybe they're just trying to try to
play two cute. I don't know. I like just saying, hey, Gino,
go win this ball game for us. And and you know,

(02:33:32):
like he's been I mean, frankly, he's a big reason
why the the Seattle Seahawks have won the two games
that they've won and hung around in all the other
games they've played in. All right, uh A, Patrick Mahomes
to Nicole Hardman passed has gotten the Chiefs into Bill's
territory there at the forty seven yard line right now,
eight minutes ago in the first quarter, no score, after

(02:33:54):
the Bills wasted an opportunity with an errand play that
resulted in the fumble, and we have another for is
down for the chief So Mahomes has got his team
on the move. And just like we were saying, Geno
Smith instead of throwing a pass on a third and
one situation, hands off the ball to Kenneth Walker. J. J.
Watt breaks through the offensive line, makes a tackle for loss,

(02:34:16):
and that brings up fourth and three for the Seattle Seahawks.
On their side of the field, they're punting the ball
away and not capitalizing on this opportunity. After the turnover, rundowns. Alright,
Seattle will punt. And all I know is, if I
got a hot quarterback, I'm gonna put the ball in
his hands, especially in third down situations. All Right, we're
rolling on. We got three games underway, eight games in

(02:34:38):
the books. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio Steve
Harbin and a rich Orneberger. Welcome back to Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio live from the tire Act dot Com studios.
Want to thank the guys today. I was Sam Uh
looking for added employment as a joke writer. Yes, popsicles,

(02:35:02):
popsicle sticks? What is it? Thieve? Oh for good humor bars? Yeah,
I think I have a future. Orange creamsicle did you
get uh? Did you get that Jets joke from? Uh?
I don't know the orange it was the it was
the creamy orange one. Yeah, the creamy orange creamsicle. I
love those, by the way, It's been a long time
since I had one of those. I can't oh man,

(02:35:23):
I used to love those as a kid. Fairly giving
us all the updates exhausted because there's always so many
highlights through the day. Uh in the n F l
uh and Ryan who um oh interception. Bills just picked
off Mahomes in the end zone. So both the Bills

(02:35:46):
and the Chiefs have gotten down to the low red
zone in this game, and both of them caused turnovers.
Josh Allen on the fumble, Patrick Mahomes on foot throws
it in the end zone into double coverage and almost
the reception. But I don't know. You know, sometimes and
I always think back to a guy like Brett Farve right, Yeah, yeah,

(02:36:07):
where he he just believed every pass he through was
gonna be completed and he'd see like half of an
inch of an opening. I'm not throw it right through
those guys and then it gets picked off and you're like, okay,
what happened there? Um, We've seen a little that in Mahomes. Look,
he's absolutely one of the elite quarterbacks in this league.
Fifteen touchdowns, only two picks before that interception. But sometimes

(02:36:31):
you just believe I can make that play. Oh yeah, No, Look,
they're risk takers and it's part of the DNA that
makes them special. Brett Farve continue that after his career,
of course, taking a risk grabbing a whole lot of
publicly funded money in that welfare scam. But hopefully Patrick
Malomes walks the line a little differently on the other
side of what's been an illustrious start to his career.

(02:36:52):
But there's no doubt this guy takes gambles and they
pay off for the most part. But there are times
where that happens. You throw it into the double coverage
in the corner of the endzone off your back foot.
Bill's ball. By the way, if you have any leftovers
in your house, call Ryan now he's been it's been
the leftover weekend for him. So they brought new donuts
in yesterday at some of those, but there was left

(02:37:14):
over pizza from the night before, which he ate. And
then I come in this morning and the donuts that
we're sitting here yesterday morning, there was one left, one
left in a box and is it going to go
to waste? Never? With wine around, he finished off that
last donut. Where does it all go? Yes, that's the
big questions. You are a slender drink of water? How

(02:37:36):
because he has a big lunch behind him. See the
big bag there. He had to eat something already. You know,
I have to give myself a little credit. I finished
that cheese pizza yesterday. I ended up having four slices. Wow,
and that was from the night before, the night before.
But it was good. But Ryan, Yes, Ryan, you can
see where it goes with me. But Ryan, it just
goes into his leggers. Now you're like me, yeah, you know,
we pack it on in the mid section. Um goes

(02:38:01):
into that furnace. That is that baritone voice of his.
Listen that. Yeah, So if you need it's like, you know,
I recently moved out in an apartment. We have one
of those junk gys. Come over. I had to remove
a couch. That would be like, Ryan, maybe you have
food unused? Yeah, bring Ryan over. Yeah. No, it's just

(02:38:21):
comes back from the you know, the poo loco over here,
and this guy's got a bag the size of thirteen
gallon kitchen garbage bag to loco. The rams are trying
to get some offense going right now. We got nine
and a half minutes ago in the first half and
the Rams have zero points against the Carolina Panthers. Matthew

(02:38:45):
Stafford is four or five for twenty four yards. Actually,
I think they just got aper coup. So Cooper Cup
just caught a five yard slant route. Watched this. He's
the interior receiver on this. This bunch set just a
wee little underneath screen and he just broke one, two,
three tackles and rumble through the last tackler safety for

(02:39:09):
an additional five yards. Can I ask you, does anybody
know how to tackle? I mean, see bursts there. He
goes high on him instead of low. Low would have
brought him down high Cooper Cup ran over. The tackling
has gotten worse in the NFL, There's no question about it.
And see that's where you can make the argument. A
lot of people are saying, hey, you know, offenses look

(02:39:29):
this way and that way because they don't allow him
to practice anymore. Yes, that may be true, but I
see it more with the tackling. You know, when you
don't have physical practices, you can't practice one of the
most important aspects of the game, which is tackling, And
so you're seeing worse tackling. Now do I think it
makes the game worse. No, not necessarily, because miss broken

(02:39:50):
tackles make for bigger plays and make for better highlights,
and so people are into it. But yeah, that is
one of the aspects of limiting practice time will make
were worst tackling team. My playing time in tackle football
is limited to one year of high school football is
a tackling dummy. But I do figure this out. In
a tackling standpoint, you have a much better chance of

(02:40:10):
bringing someone down tackling their legs than above their legs. Well,
because if you're running, it seems like if I wrap
up the legs, you will stop running. The problem is,
and it hasn't been outlawed in any level of football yet,
receivers running backs can hurl you. So if you try
to tackle low and knock the pins out of a
ball carrier, they may leap over you. And it happens

(02:40:33):
routinely in the NFL, especially with some of the best
athletes are just so zero in on the waist. I
mean that's what I was. Now we're having a circular
are you looking practice time? You know? I mean, you
gotta practice the form and the fifths in order to
be a good tackling team and Cooper Cup by the way,
is a superlative talent. We just saw him get another

(02:40:55):
first down. He's got four receptions forty three yards on
the day so far, most that worked on on this
drive alone. By the way, tomorrow I'm gonna be at
the Broncos Chargers game. Who's gonna win that game? Tomorrow night? Chargers.
Broncos are a mess right now. Keep in here. This
