egg dot Com. Martin and VJ in with you all
until ten o'clock Eastern time, and vjski is good to
see you, my friends. And I tell you what. The
college football playoff rankings exist for one reason and one
reason only, and that is to annoy at this point
in the year, right right after Halloween of the Thanksgiving
that is to annoy the number five team of which

(01:04):
we were both fans of the University of Michigan has
a number one team in that team college football playoff
rankings is getting ran off the field. The only thing
open there is the back door cover. As there were
nine point underdogs to start the game with Georgia has
dominated Tennessee from start to finish. As this game is progressed,
I hate to be first of all, what's going on
everybody out there and listening to radio Lamb man, I'm
always great to be here, always feels good to be

(01:25):
here in studio man with my great partner money Martin White's.
I hate to be that. I told you so, guy,
I really do, but sometimes I don't. But today I
kind of hate to be I can. I can honestly say,
I don't think you've ever hated to say that. Well,
sometimes I do. Today is one of the things that
I hate to be that it's a new experience here.
You know, I'm saying we've only been doing it for
this is a fourth or fifth times about a month

(01:46):
in But I just just say, I feel like flee
and flowing out of U VJ. But please tell us
so well, I mean three weeks ago, four weeks ago,
after the Alabama game. Before the Alabama game, I told you, guys, Tennessee,
they're good offense, they're a good watch, they're a good show.
They really are. They got some great players. They got
an NFL quarterback, they got an NFL defensive back, they

(02:09):
got some players over there now, an NFL receiver. But
they are not on the level of a Georgia. And
I told you I talked about November five, they was
gonna have to go to Athens and go between the hedges.
And that's not in the defense You've actually brought up
and criticized Obama. That's not Bama's defense. Those aren't Bama's corners,
those aren't Bama's linebackers. This is a different breed a

(02:31):
defense that they were gonna face today. And I text
Bernie Fredo, or colleague of ours here, who does a
great job with his betting show on Fox Sports Radio,
about three o'clock this morning, when the show went off
the air and I was up listening to prepper for
the show, I said, man, Georgia, Honestly, they're the number one.
They're gonna cover number two. I think they're gonna really
just handle Tennessee. I look, Tennessee, I'll be lucky to
scort twenty and they're sitting at thirteen and I have

(02:53):
the receipts. But just another great day. We saw it
happened with Ohio State, slow start, they pulled one off
and how about no brother, little brother, shout out the
little rather with the Illinois and got it. Dove. I
a mad at them, kick eight people off the team
and suspending them and then't win and got a roll
win to day Man. But this Tennessee game was just
it was written. If you just put the games on
and don't watch the highlights, and don't get on social media,

(03:15):
don't try to judge sports by highlights and things and clips.
Watch games, go back and watch them DVR, go back
and watch them, and you'll be able to see, Okay,
when they play a certain team, they're not gonna be
able to do that what they're doing to everybody else.
And it was on full display. I told you when
the season first start, I think maybe week two, week
three in the college football season, I thought Georgia was
the best team when the number one team in the nation,

(03:35):
that the defendant champions. They hadn't lost, and it pretty
much handled everybody except for the tough road match up
against Missouri, which they pulled out and won that game.
So no surprise for me today. Man, this is what
Tennessee is, and I'm glad get him out of the
top four because they didn't deserve to be there to
begin with. I mean, damn yeah, they didn't deserve to
be the do that doesn't come on? Man, they didn't

(03:55):
deserve to be there. Bro. I just think number one
until that's all right? So that's that's where, like I said,
it just exists right now in this day and age
on what is it November five, just to piss people
off like it only it only exists to like be like,
what do you mean Tennessee is number one? How could
that be true? And then you look, you know, Texas
is the team, right, and then you look at how
is that case? Because then Alabama now has the top right,

(04:18):
you know what I'm saying. There's all these different things
that you know, I was like, how is that the case?
But I mean, ultimately I thought Tennessee would be able
to not necessarily hang here. But I think it's just
just a story of this what we've seen in college
football over the last few years. You have one or
two or three programs right pretty much caps at three
that are just you know, head and shoulders above the

(04:40):
rest of the league and every single four. But I
feel I agree I'm saying the historically in the last
like five years, there's like, right, there will be a
fourth team who you could think about, like hey, like
you know, maybe this Tennessee team, if you know what
I'm saying, like that, this would have been the fourth team,
this Sinnati last year. But like ultimately, you know, there's
there's there's first, second, and third. Everybody else is playing

(05:00):
for way after that. Absolutely so, not only that, with
the rankings too, how is Clemson ranked the head of Michigan?
Like I mean seriously like so, and also with this
also listens meant to do as you mentioned, meant that,
you know, took a lot of people off. I always,
you know, I kind of look at conspiracy theory sometimes
I'm like, Okay, if it's out there, it's gotta be
conc are a hot top, I know, but I got

(05:24):
a piece on that too. That don't keep me out
of trouble. We keep us and keep us on the air.
But um, also to it felt like if we put
Tennessee four at one and they lose to Georgia, they're
not gonna fall out of the top four. So you'll
still be able to have to SEC teams which they
always want, we know they always want in the college
football playoff. If Bama wins out, they're finish in the

(05:45):
top four. If if Tennessee wins out, they they may
finish in the top four even though they and they
have that head to head over Obama. So people will
be able to point back to that. Always feel like
when you look at these rankings, it's like it seems
like they're trying to get make sure you can get
amount a different amount of certain team. And this is
why the tween the twelve team playoff needs to start
next You don't hold this off. You guys got the

(06:06):
money and the ability started now. Man, next year, not now,
but next season. I got you. I know this right,
my hendon hooker for Heisman ticket, I've gone flushed down
the toilet. It's over with. But VJ, you'll be interested
to hear this. I think that Blake Coreham has a
big game today. The door is wide. Trophy. Did you

(06:28):
see my notes? Are you looking at my very window
looking at my notes? Bro that you save that it
was not in your bedroom. Man, Maybe so I thought
you might have been peeking out my notes, because walking
by the editor room right now, I just stuck my
head and there, you guys know we have an Ohio
State guy in here loves the wears his scarlett and
grain here and we go back and forth and joke

(06:48):
all the time. I stuck my head in there. I said, hey, bro,
you saw my tweet this morning, right I tweeted this
morning that I thought today two quarterbacks would lose the Heisman.
And I've been saying for the past few weeks, everybody's
got the game team to either win it or to
lose the Heisman. Hinder Hooker can't win the Heisman now,
and neither can c. J. Stroud. You can't have a
ten for sixteen game for seventy six yards, no touchdowns

(07:11):
and no and and no interception gets a one in
seven Northwestern team on the road coming off of the
performance last week at Happy Valley, and when the Heisman
I thought, not only Hindon Hooker lost the Hidsman today.
All you see, J. Stroud, people lost the Hisman today.
And this is a perfect time for Blake the Great
Corn to come in run for about a buck fifty

(07:32):
against Ruckus, you know what I'm saying, and put his
name firmli in the top four for the hisman this morning.
You know you weren't saying, but I'm sure Ohio State
fans and ticket people who had that CJ. Strould ticket
for hisman, we're looking in like thousands. Great time to
go ahead and stack on the Northwestern team that hasn't
told of one win, right, but fifty wins. I don't

(07:52):
know if you saw this. I saw the kicker uh
for Ohio State warming up and when he kicked like
a thirty seven yard few going it almost landed in
the stands. He just, you know, he just he just
looked over like what am I supposed to do here?
One of the one of the practice kicks got it
looked like it hit a wall. It took off and
it got about twenty yards and it just hit a

(08:14):
wall and then started backspinning and then die. That's all, Yeah,
this is gonna be really interesting, but that's no excuse.
But ultimately to your point and and and four weeks
from now, nobody's gonna care that it was a tornado.
Uh And and also to also nobody. Ohio State Yo.
That run defense? Yeah one problematic, yeah two or six?

(08:36):
They gave up total on the ground today, and you're
gonna beat Michigan. Okay, I'm just I mean Northwestern last,
and then last week they gave up a ton of
yards on the ground. This is this is beginning to
be a trend. Not with the Ohio State. This is
not a bug. This is a feature. With the Ohio
State defense. They don't stop the run. And all the
talk this year was how better their defense was, how

(08:59):
better their defaul was playing. How I came on here
and opened the show and tried to show some growth.
And you know what y'all did to me? Buck Eye fans,
He laughed at me. So now I'm going back to
one hell hell gold blue, big house, Michigan Wolverines, and
I don't even call them Ohio. I won't say no more.
It's the school down south, as they say it up there.
You guys can't stop a nosebleed running the ball. And

(09:22):
listen back to Stroud. I don't want to hear about
the win. You gotta make throws. You had two quarters
where you had to win. He's overthrowing, throwing short throwing behind.
He was just off. You can't do that. And I
don't want to hear about the weather. I'm sorry, Yeah,
I mean the football is a game that's played in
outside for the most part, especially especially in college. I mean,

(09:44):
no one is gonna look back at the Hendon Hooker
thing and or even this Georgia dominance and be like,
you know what, it was raining real hard. So that's
why Tennessee's offense couldn't get off, you know, Sennesse. I
mean they had the worst luck in the beginning of
this game, losing High for a stretch, losing Tillman for
a stretch. Both guys came back in and finished. But
though it was looking back at this, I mean this
offense which has been high powered but not necessarily as

(10:06):
efficient as as you would like to see. Like I
I am a sucker for a team that can run
the ball for four yards consistently, because you know what
happens if you run the ball for four yards twenty
times in a row. You score a touchdown, you know,
like that's it. You don't punt, you score a touchdown,
you nothing, You never give the ball. It's a lot,
it's a lot of third and two. But then I mean,
but you can't even feel bad, like if you're watching

(10:28):
because Tennessee had more pre snap penalties. I mean, I
mean that, I think five in the first half when
I walked in here to the radio station at another
free pre snap penalty, and I turned to Danny g
was producing the show before us, and he's just like,
they've been getting killed. They're just you can't when you're
a team in the league as as dominant and and
as as as full of talent as the SEC, you

(10:51):
can't just give up five yards. You can't give up
ten yards. And this football game of tug of war
that it is, you can you have to do that.
When these defenses are playing the way that they are,
you can't do it. It's one of the reasons why
I'm concerned about Alabama. They also pre snap penalties all
over the place. You can't have that and be successful.
And another thing about Tennessee that I would be really
remissified and point out is also my tweet this morning.

(11:14):
I just thought the atmosphere would be too big for them,
and it was. That's a direct reflection back to your
point of the penalties that is a non focus. We
saw that with Alabama at Texas and we had uh
was it was it Will that actually admitted He's like, yeah,
it's that was crazy. Man. We were kind of shell
shocked in the first quarter and a half. And I
came on radio and said I thought I said, dude,

(11:35):
they look they looked shell shocked. They didn't look like
they were ready for the crowd and for that moment,
which is weird. Could you play in front of a
hundred thousand? But it's different when you go on the
road and it's just all red and black and little
specs of that Tennessee's rocky top smokey origin there. It's
a different feeling. You gotta be wired a certain way
to be able to deal with that, to be able

(11:55):
to put it with that still be able to focus
and execute and at least be in a football game.
They were totally dominated today. And I won't even look
at the penalties. I'm gonna look at your mind, man,
I'm gonna look at your toughness to say, you guys
just weren't ready to coach. It didn't have you ready,
and you weren't ready. That's where the penalties and the
focus and the discipline comes from. Is being prepared. They

(12:15):
were not prepared. Also real quick to Texas A and
M gotta fire Jimbo Fisher. He has got to go.
This is not working. And another thing, listen, be careful
of it. School, I'm sorry, be careful of our schools
that want to come to big conferences. Be careful, be
careful leaving where you're winning and trying to go to
the Big ten or go to the SEC. There's already

(12:37):
legendary programs champions there. Have fun U C l A
and USC and I love you as c USC, but
have fun. Man. It's a lot different. Texas A and
is finding that out in the SEC. Alabama and l
s U kicked off about one minute and thirty seconds
of game time. Alabama has been flagged twice already. So
it just goes to show you that we'll see how

(12:57):
this game plays out. This will be a huge, huge
win for Brian Kelly and the L s U program
to knock off Nick Saving If lu wins, can I
say I told you so later in the show, you
have to claud now, Okay, Well, well here's the thing.
I didn't pick them to win this game. I didn't
picked them to win this game. But about four weeks

(13:18):
ago when they were getting there, you know what handed
to them by what school, Tennessee. I sat in the
same seat with you and I said, everybody, relaxed, l
s U will be fine. They got to get their
guys in the coach that bran Kelly just got their
guys relaxed. Tennessee was on fire time. Look what they've
done since then. If they win tonight, I mean, I'm
just saying, I'm just saying. He's just saying. He's just saying,

(13:44):
but I have Alabama winning this game at least by Tuddy. So,
so which one is that? Are you gonna Are you
gonna tell us about l s U being right? I mean,
you're gonna tell us about you being right about LSU
being fine? Or are you gonna tell us about being
right about picking Alabama to win this game? At the
end of I'm just curious for the ten o'clock audience
what we're gonna be doing that I got you. I
I love having a two headed coin, so no matter

(14:07):
which way I flip it on, it's going to land heads.
So either way with this game, I could come out
and saying, Okay, well I told you Alabama will win
and I L s U wins. I can say, hey,
for the last three or four weeks, I have been
saying relax on L s U. Right, that's that's that's valid.
I'm not saying that this is got, but I'm just
you know, there's a game on right now that you
can say that they're gonna win or lose. Noma. Alright,

(14:30):
that's all I wanted to get down to, right, Alright, alright,
thank you very much. Now that we got that squared away.
Coming up next, we'll get into the biggest controversy in

(15:36):
by DJ Don brown Doby Don brown Man. You know what,
I caught that movie segment, uh in thee in the
show before with Steve Hartman and he from Salam and
I mean Lord of Mercy from Salam. You would think
that there was something separating him and Don because he
just talks about him so crazy. There wasn't Halloween Ends.
How was it, Don? It was Halloween Ends? Okay the movie? No, No,

(16:01):
I know, I was saying, how was the movie? I
didn't know if you watched it or not. It was terrible, unfortunately, alright,
because I like Kills. I haven't seen it. Yeah, I
haven't seen it yet, but I like hollywe Halloween Kills.
I like that one. But that was great. Yeah. See, okay,
so we're on the same page. All right, that was great,
but this one really Okay. I'll still watch it just
to just to see that. Yeah, I like that. I
like that too. I thought it was fine. So, I

(16:22):
mean that's my thoughts on it. You should watch Barbarian.
That's a good movie. Well, I'm old enough to remember
the very first Halloween, so and I've seen everyone, even
the rob zombie ones. I've seen every last Halloween. Michael
Myers is one of my favorite movie characters of all time.
So I have to finish it right, so I gotta.
I'll check out ends and see if it really ends.

(16:43):
I'm pretty sure that's what Steve Hartman was saying earlier,
that it actually probably should end after ends. I didn't
mean it's completely real, this entire thing. I just thought
about it as he was playing the music. No, it was,
no was it was it was, it was. It was
great bands are you talking about? Man? But you know
the movie talk But I like that. But I'll check
it out. I'll see what's up. So anyway, in Brooklyn,
it's it's been it's been a it's been hot out there, man,

(17:05):
with everything that's going on between Kyrie and k D
and all that. You know, I mean, at this point,
everybody knows the ins and outs of all of it,
so you know this, I just read that he is
now going to be missing at least two point two
million dollars after his unpaid suspension of at least five games,
which could you know, obviously it's at least so there's

(17:26):
a no top on it and no cap on it um.
But oh, to me, he's apologized for his anti semitic
you know whatever you wanna call he's saying. He shared
the uh the documentary and then didn't necessarily apologize or
you know, outline what do you agree with and didn't
agree with and so then after you know, after all
of it back and forth, he puts out his apology

(17:48):
on Thursday, and this is where we are today. Yeah,
I'll say this about it. This week I stayed off
of social media as far as posting, but I scrolled,
I read a lot, and I watched a lot. I
haven't watched the documentary, but now it's my interests I
guess to possibly watch it. I will say this though,
I I really wish that we can just get back
to love and not so much hate and so not

(18:10):
so much divisive energy in the world. I don't think
the society has been this divisive on a daily, minute
to minute basis, and like, probably for the last ten
years of my adult life, I've never seen it like this.
I mean, if I were to say right now that
I like pancakes for breakfast, somebody will go, well, why
do you hate waffles? VJ wants all the waffle makers

(18:32):
fired in restaurants. No, I like, I just like pancake. Well,
why don't you like waffles? What is it about waffles?
You don't? I just like pancakes right here though, because
I feel like that in society, when somebody does something
that they shouldn't have done, should have done, I thought
it was okay, came back and apologize. There's always just

(18:52):
gonna be some type of digging, and it's set up
to be divisive. It's set up to be the No
one's like, okay, it is what it is. We're moving on.
This is our apologize. We're moving on. It's like, no,
We're gonna keep digging and keep digging, and all I
see is divisiveness and hate pouring out, and I just
wish that we would get back to just more love
and our society and this thing, this thing is, this

(19:13):
thing is bigger than I think what the actual um
content is. I think this has a bigger society problem
and a bigger society issue, and that's how I'm gonna
attack it, and that's how I'm gonna look at it.
I'm not gonna narrow down to one little single thing,
because you see all this evilness and all of his
hate and all this rhetoric pouring out of people, out

(19:35):
of everywhere and out of nowhere. So that's kind of
what I got from it. Well, ultimately, all he had
to do was go up there and say I didn't
watch this entire three and a half hour movie, right,
and like, this is what I like, This is what
I took out of the movie, that the parts that
I did see, this is what I agreed with, and
then you can take it from there, right. So, but like, ultimately,
I don't think he watched an entire three and a
half hour movie. I really, I don't like if I

(19:57):
don't think that he sat there and watching, you know,
maybe I'm wrong, But if you go back and watch
that initial press conference where he was discussing it, the
way it made a sound to me was that this
was just something that he kind of just saw and
put on his Twitter. Now, why would you put it
on your twitter? To a hundred or you know, one
point five million different people. Like you know what I'm saying,
that's there's a level of uh promotion or or or

(20:20):
endorsement when you towards tweeting about something at this point
in time, like and I get it, like people put
retweets are not equal to endorsements in their bio. But ultimately,
bro at this point, a tweet is a public statement
because you know, hell he posts on Instagram is public
statement apology? Right or if you see all politicians making
public statements on Twitter. So at this point you're a

(20:40):
public figure. You share something like that, people are gonna
ask you about it. Now, here's the thing that I
think you really where he really didn't like, I don't
think he watched it, and it may not have been
aware of all of the things in the documentary. But
then just say that, like, just say that instead of
coming out and trying to double down, say, I can't
be antisemitic if I do that, So I can't be

(21:00):
antistmagic because I know my history. Nobody wants to hear
about your history or where you come from or any
of that. All people want to know is how do
you feel about Jewish people? And if the answer is
I don't have no problem with Jewish people, then that
should be your response. You know what I'm saying, I
don't see I don't see what the issue is outside
of like, you know, you asked the question, you put
it out there. You're the one that like, it's not

(21:21):
like people walked up to Kyrie, knocked on his door
and said, hey, man, how do you feel about Jewish people?
And at the same time, a matter of fact, what's
your opinions on you know, issues in the Middle East
and and and and U S China relations? Right, Like
no one was just like walked into him, like, no,
you put this out there, people are gonna ask you
about it. And he didn't have a satisfactory response. What
And like, don't get me wrong, he could say whatever

(21:42):
he wants to. And like the idea that racism antize
semitism automatically eliminate you from a job. I got news
for your pal. Just look around everything that that is
not a prerequisite in terms of getting or keeping your job.
But ultimately, if you have the opportunity to say I'm
not a race is I don't understand why you wouldn't
take it to say I'm not an anti semid. I

(22:03):
don't understand why you wouldn't take it. And I think
that's the big question that everybody has right now. I
think the reason why I, let's see my rebuttal to
that would be if he has to say it, then
that means we're telling him what he has to say. No, no, no,
I'm not telling you you have to say anything. I
ask you a question, and I'm asking you to answer
that question directly. Now, whenever you come out from there,

(22:24):
the fallout is gonna be there. I get, I get
all of that, but directly it is also a personal
is also like a personal perspective. Anybody can look at
something different and goes that was directed somebody else can go, well, no,
I thought it was direct enough. I thought that's the problem.
That's what I'm talking about. We're in the society where
we are looking when we think that we have somebody
pinning up against the wall. We are looking and digging

(22:44):
and digging and looking and digging and digging, and like,
no one can deny that. Okay, no one's gonna sit
here and try to tell me that I don't live
in the world that I live in. I'm very I'm
very self aware of myself and where I live in
in the society and the way we attack things. That's
my whole thing with this. I haven't watched it documentary.
I am not educated enough to even speak on half
of the stuff that I saw. So it made me

(23:05):
go read some things. But I haven't done enough in
four or five days to get on radio and and
condemn somebody or back somebody. So I'm just I'm not
going to do that because that would be wrong and
it would be irresponsible. What I'm saying is the totality
of the whole thing. I can't step back and look
and go, wow, there's a lot of hate, you know
everything as I'm scrolling, there's a lot of name calling,
there's a lot of hate, and there's a lot of

(23:26):
divisiveness that has poured out of it. Let me just
there's no question, okay, what is what? Give me the definition?
Do you have? Do you have untoward racist? I don't.
I don't have no ill will feelings towards anybody. I'm
about love, simple as that. That's an easy response, right,

(23:49):
That's an easy response to an easy question. But that's
all that had to do. No, No, see once again,
see you're telling him what he had to do. Well,
I mean, yeah, if you want you know what, I'm
not saying you've got to do it. But if you
wants to be a member of the Brooklyn Nets, if
he wants to have his Nike sponsorship, if he wants
to continue, maybe maybe that stuff doesn't matter. And then
in that case, the Brooklyn that's really missed a great

(24:10):
opportunity because they should have cut him after that initial
press conference because I don't know if he ever plays again.
Bro To be honest and honestly, I don't think he
does either. I don't. I know. We're cutting in and
Steven will get back. We'll get back into this in
a second. But like, I agree with that because he's
had several opportunities to just come out and say like, yeah,
I'm not an anti Semite, and then has refused to

(24:32):
do so. Right, he's refused to do so until after
he started to feel some of these impacts and also
too finally the idea that he could, like I think
that he goes, he does his thing, and he stays
away for five six games, comes back and it's back
in the fold. The idea that Kyrie Irving is not
it's just gonna just play whatever the remainder sixty five,

(24:52):
whatever game left of basketball they would have and just
be not in the news. Feels feels like fool's logic there.
You know, the personal leave after the vaccination status is
just one thing after another, and it's pretty unpredictable with Kyrie.
But some things that are not unpredictable. According to VJs
that L s U is going to be just fine.

(25:12):
Steve di Seger, can you tell us how L s
U and the rest of the world is sports doing?
What's trendy? Well, Alabama's Bryce Young is throwing an interception
in the end zone. Bama and l s U scoreless
with about four minutes to go in the first quarter.
And there's the Top twenty five matchup on FS one
right now. Mid first quarter Texas tied seven seven at
Kansas State Arizona at number fourteen Utah just getting underway

(25:34):
about to start. Number four Clemson at Notre Dame and
number five Michigan at Rutgers in a half an hour
top twenty five matchup with Wake Forest at NC State. Earlier,
Number three Georgia in the Battle of eight and O
teams dominated Number one Tennessee that is number one according
to the new Playoff Committee rankings. This week Georgia thirteen,

(25:54):
the final Bulldogs led twenty one three early in the
second quarter. Number two Ohio State even actually got a
twenty one seven win at Northwestern number seven TCU, with
another victory thirty four twenty four over Texas Tech, wins
for Oregon and Penn State for North Carolina, and Michigan State,
which was three and five, got a victory at number
sixteen Illinois twenty three to fifteen. On FS one, Kansas

(26:17):
at home beat number eighteen Oklahoma State thirty seven to sixteen.
In fact, the Jayhawks led thirty one seven in the
third quarter. Wins for two Lane Central Florida and pitt
defeated number twenty Syracuse nineteen to nine. The Atlanta Falcons
activated running back cor Darryl Patterson, he missed the last
month with a knee injury. Atlanta will host the Chargers tomorrow.
L A wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are

(26:39):
each out due to injuries. Baltimore tight end Mark Andrews
is doubtful for tomorrow with knee and shoulder injuries. Actually
for the Monday night game, I should say at New Orleans,
and running back Gus Edwards of the Ravens also doubtful
with a hamstring injury. For the Saints, wide receiver Jarvis
Landry is questionable with a foot injury. In New Orleans,
defensive back Marshawn Lattimore is out with an abdominal injury.

(27:00):
We're a half hour away from first pitch of Game
six of the World Series on Fox TV. The top
seeds in the American League Houston at home and leading
Philadelphia three games to two in this best of seven.
Houston first baseman Julie Guriel is out this weekend with
a knee injury. As for the NBA, plenty of games,
not as many as the usual Friday night, but a
couple already underway the early games late in overtime. Sacramento

(27:24):
is at Orlando and the King's lead one nineteen one fifteen,
about thirty seconds left in the ot Deer and Fox
thirty four points. A loss for the Magic would put
them at two and eight on the season, and the
MLS Cup Final on Fox TV was phenomenal. Today went
to penalty kicks because l A f C at home
tied the game late in extra time and then one
on the p k's taking the title, beating Philadelphia once again.

(27:48):
It's the Phillies at Houston starting soon, Game six of
the World Series on Fox. I'm Steve di Seger and
I send it back to you. Thanks, Steve, appreciate that.

Not available in Idaho or South Dakota. Martin and VJ
coming to you live from the tire Rack dot Com
Studios VJ. The NFL trade deadline came and went. You
had Aaron Rodgers got absolutely no help. So I guess

(28:32):
he's got to just deal with what's got to deal
with what he's got, right, So you know, we can
get into that in a little bit, but let's talk
about the doers and the people who were getting things
done during UH During the trade deadline, you had some
very active teams Miami Dolphins, the Chicago Bears, the Baltimore Ravens,

(28:52):
and like some guys who are our teams that are
either taking or teams that are trying to turn the
corner and make a stretch, like the Minnesota Vikings for example.
There they got a nice thing going. Which one of
these trades VJ to you stood out in terms of, uh,
you know, the biggest impact for the rest of the season.

(29:13):
There were two of them that really stood out to me.
I like what Chicago did because I'm a Jay phil
I'm a big Jay Phils fan. My only, my only,
my only question mark with it is can Chase Claypool
be that guy? Remember he is, He's got the size,
he's got the speed, he runs great routes, great hands,
He's he he can do it. But he was a
guy that came out over the summertime and and uh

(29:34):
told everybody he was a top five guy in the
league that got a lot of the people's at tenches like, hey, bro,
I understand confidence, but you know there's something called intelligent confidence.
We we know you're good, but I'm not sure if
you're top five. We're trying to figure out if you're
even top ten. So can he be that guy he
needs you? You team him up with Mooney there, you
team him up with Knell Harry, who was a first

(29:55):
round Buffler. The Patriots draft that out of Arizona State.
So I like what they've done there. They gave up,
they gave up Roll Kwan. He's going to be a
freege anyway. Baltimore is not gonna sign him because they
don't pay anybody, don't even pay their quarterback. So no,
they're not gonna pay him. So as a quicker side
on that note, they can't pay him until they pay
the quarterback, right, Like I mean, functionally obviously they can't.
But but in actual practice, how do you pay ro

(30:17):
Kuan Smith? Well, just you don't even know how much
you got to pay them. Are to know how much
money you got left off? For real, Kuan Smith, this
is all the reason why you should have taken care
of this in the office. He's in Baltimore. Yeah, he's
in Baltimore. But they have given up to seventeen point leads.
So maybe that does help that that secondary needs to
get some help too. And I think with since he
being in flux a little bit right now, we saw

(30:38):
it they looked like money night against the Browns, and
with Chase's injury, I think there's an opportunity that they're
kind of going all in and saying, Okay, we let's
get this division. Let's get a first round by our
home game in the playoffs and just go from there.
And then, of course the other one was my my
beloved Miami Dolphins. I mean, how could you not love
what the Dolphins are doing for two and for McDaniel.

(30:58):
They're pushing all the chip and I'm not the guy saying, oh,
we're a contender now. No, we're not a contender now.
But what we are as a team that you better
watch out for. You get a pass rusher, and Bradley
Chub they signed him to a long term deal, so
you know you got him, and you've got Jalen Phillips,
who's still playing on the rookie contract locked in. We
don't get to the pass rusher this year like we've
been able to in the past years without blitzing. We're

(31:20):
lasting the NFL at quarterbacks pressure without bringing a blitz.
That's four or five guys on the d line Russia,
without bringing somebody extra that's gonna help. That's also gonna
help these young corners and these young secondary and safeties
that we have. We Byron Jones hasn't played, and we
just lost the other Jones safety to a year. And
Nick Needham's gone on I R. Tow and Achilles. So
there's young guys back there that can't hold up long,

(31:40):
so you gotta get pressure. And then Wilson Jr. Who's
already almost a five hundred rushing yards, you team him
up with. Most of that was brilliant getting Edmunds out
of there. They saw it quick. It wasn't working. Edmonds
isn't that guy. Essentially what they did in Miami with
getting Jeff Wilson and signing where he emotion in these
they essentially just reconstructed the San Francisco three years ago.

(32:02):
And it's like it's when you see Mike McDaniel, hard
to figure out why exactly, and and and listen, if
if San fran didn't sign Deebo, there was rumblings that
he was trying to figure out a way to get
Deebo to South Beach. So he was out there hanging
with Dolphin players at a nightclub in a restaurant which
was all over Twitter, and I g So, I just
love the moves for those two teams that were made
to really move to the Jacks. He can't play until

(32:23):
next year. That means nothing. The t J. Hawkinson moved
everybody really talked up, but I'm looking at it like,
I mean, he's not gonna get a lot of time.
They got two receivers they're already throwing to you want
to run the football more, and they got a nice cushion.
And I love that move for the Lions. Okay, Okay,
then he's off the books. C J. Hockinson is like, Okay,

(32:44):
is he a top ten tight end? Sure? Definitely not
top five though, right, So so we're in like he
I mean, he's in the the Mike Gasecki like, I
like him as a tight end, but I don't want
to pay him like Darren Waller or Travis Kelton are
are or you know, you know, the the the top
guys right right right, Like you know what I'm saying,

(33:05):
our Mark Andrews res I don't want to. I don't
want to bust it down like that on the t. J. Hockenson.
But uh, you got the lines of rookie deals across
the board essentially minus the quarterback who's gonna be out
of there soon enough, right, So it helps you get
on the same timeline with everybody. Now, the question is
how much longer is Dan Campbell and this front off

(33:26):
is gonna be around to be able to take advantage
of that. And you know, they have a lot of
draft capital coming up, so we should see. Like I
love the offensive line that they got over there, so
they're they're building the foundations. The question how long they'll
be able to get to because ultimately it's a maker
miss league. It's a win lost league, and uh, the
Lions don't win a lot of games, so that stinks.

(33:47):
I like the roal Kuan Smith move to Baltimore, especially
when you see the way that defense has been crumbling
down the stretch. I think he provides like so for
some defensive character, like you know, some backbone. If he
was gonna be a pass rusher, I would agree with that.
But I don't feel like that defense needs a linebacker.
They need back and help. They're getting beat over the

(34:09):
top and they're getting their corners are a little older.
Marcus Peters is the older guy. Now, he could still
play still effective, but we've seen him just get blown
by by receivers, miss tackles, blown coverage. You got a
rookie safety back there in Hamilton from Noorder Dame. He
makes a few mistakes, so I'm not And the name
and the player sounds great, but what you're telling me,
they're fitting in. And I think they just felt desperate

(34:30):
to make a move. That's what this felt like. Let's
go get the best player on the side of the ball.
That's that's that wants to get traded or the team
wants to get rid of that, we can go get
And I thought that's what they did there. The head
scratcher was Hines to Buffalo. Not much as a head
scratcher to me, because I've been saying all summer I
love their offense, and I understand why people are all
in on Buffalo, but you have to be able to

(34:50):
run the football in the NFL, and the last three
years they've been twenty it's getting worse. You drafted Cooked
from Georgia and then you go trade for Hines and
you're not even giving Cook carries. So something's going on there.
And I felt like they felt the need to go
out and make a move because Kansas City did something
earlier and went and got Tony. Somebody posted him running

(35:11):
routes and practice and was like that food was faking
in New York. He ain't not wrong with me because
he looks he looks fast, he looks good. So uh,
the Hines move was a head scratcher to me because
it's like, dude, you guy running backs there, you win't
got a older you know, guy didn't been used a
lot backup type of I mean, you know evidences at
least in the a f C that teams are loading
up for Bear they see the Kansas City and they

(35:33):
see Buffalo and it's like, all right, we gotta try
to catch up and figure this out. And they are
also competing against themselves. But VJ, coming up next, I
won't compete with you for Uncle Vj's corner. Let's see
what you got to say. Coming up next, five Sports
Radio coming to your line from the tiraq dot Com Studios,
Martin and VJ. Until ten o'clock Eastern Standard time. VJ,

(35:58):
It's time for Uncle Vj's corner. Brother, What you got?
I got some good stuff for y'all, man, as you
know your uncle do. I'm on the front porch today, baby,
just chilling relaxing and this good old l a sweater weather.
Sweater weather, Oh my god, sweater weather eats some leftover
Halloween candy. I want to tell you all a little
story about a trophy that might end up in ann
Arbor this this year with my Vanilla Brother of the Week,

(36:21):
my Vanella Brother this week, I ain't gonna give you
no draub. I'm gonna tell you what it is. Off
the break. Blake the Great Corman is my Vanilla Brother
of the week because he he exhibits the three seeds
cool comic collective. Remember I told you gotta be cool
comic collective to be a Vanilla brother man. This man
is the fifth leading rusher in the nation. He's second
in touchdowns with fourteen of them. He of all the

(36:45):
running backs in the nation guys that has over a
hundred and seventy carries, he's the only one at six
yards a carry. This man showed his cool calm collectiveness.
If you go back four weeks to Indiana, his running
back coach Michigan Legend and I Calm Mike Hart had
a seizure on the sideline and they had to bring
to the fibulator out to revive this man. He sat

(37:07):
there and watched his coach, his second dad, his mentor
go through that in tears, visibly shaking up on the sideline.
All he does this goes out carries thirty times a
hundred twenty four yards in a touchdown his team to victory.
And since then, and since the Maryland game, they have
completely taken off over a hundred thirty yards. In every
game he is on page for about eighteen nineteen hundred

(37:29):
yards and twenty five to thirty touchdowns, which would be
a Michigan record that was set by Haskins last year.
If you guys want to look for anybody other than
a quarterback to when the Heisman Trophy, look no further
than the running back that's up and and arbor. Mr
Blake Corn, who is from my home state, Virginia. He's

(37:50):
from Marshall, Virginia. I'm from Woodbridge, Virginia, bout an hour
and a half from each other, and the and and
the hype beasts, Don Brown Dorvy, it's from Virginia. So
we got a Virginia v a trifector two up and
two down. Baby Uncle VJ is telling y'all stop talking
about c J. Stroud. It's over. Stop talking about Hinda Hooker.
It's over. Talk about quarterback from Georgia. Throw his name

(38:13):
up there. I guess you can, Steve, keep dugging in there,
do getting in there in the quarterback from TCU. But
let's start to talk about Mr Blake the Great Corn.
Young man. You carry yourself with class. You carry yourself
with class. With the fiasco, with the locker room incident
and the way you spoke about it with little brother
after whooping them up and down the field, You've exuded
nothing but class. You've exuded nothing but the three seeds,

(38:34):
which I love. And I'm praying for you, brother, that
you walk away with this Heisman trove, or at least
get invited to New York. The vanilla brother of the
week week week is Mr Blake the Great Corn. And
that's been Uncle v J's cor I'm gonna go back
some of this left over Halloween, can you now? I'm
actually I'm trying to get my figure together, brother, I'm
trying to get right. I'm getting a sixth pack. I

(38:57):
know you said on our first show, if you're over thirty,
you don't have it yet. All this yeah, alright, alright,
you have a class you're not getting Look, don Brown,
I love the haters. They motivated. No, I'm just it's
this biology. That's all the science biology. You know what.
I've done my own reasearch. You've got any ripples right now,
I'm not done your shirt. You got even done my

(39:18):
own research, just like everybody else does their own research
these days. Al Right, I did my own research. I
will be able to get my six pack. Alright. I
watched the YouTube video and it was over. It was
an hour and fifty five minutes long. And in it
and in the hour and in the in the twenty
seven minute mark, it said, did you do this? You're
a good shape? Okay, that's what I saw, and I

(39:41):
did my research and I'm sticking to it. Listen, I'm
not I'm not. I hope you get it. If that's
what you really want, I hope you get it. But
I don't like after thirty. It just it's something that
just kind of doesn't have. You can lose some weight
and you can get your stomach smaller, build some muscle up,
you know, saying look different than your hoodie's got time,
but it logic and well reason sure, don't man eat

(40:04):
this fun? Uh hush. This is good to have time
for that. Damn all research, y'all leave me the hell
alone about it. Coming up next, we'll get back into
college football Alabama still as the score black Horn just
did Fox Sports Radio Fox Sports Saturday. That's right, we're

until ten o'clock Eastern, and be sure to tune into
the Fox Sports Radio countdown the Kickoff presented by bet

(40:49):
MGM on Sunday mornings three hours before kickoff. That's right,
Tune in Sunday morning at ten am Eastern as we
take you live all the way to kick off on
Fox Sports Radio in the I Heart Radio app presented
by bet MGM VJ. World Series first pitch is approximately
forty seconds away. You know baseball has the start times

(41:12):
at five oh three. Are sorry eight oh three Eastern time,
guys in we're in Los Angeles. I gotta do the
math every time, and it's one of the things that
really drives me nuts. At the entire world runs on
Eastern Standard time. We should be able to adjust anyway.
That's that's that's uh, that's an aside. However, what is
not in the side is Dusty Baker, my man most
wins as a manager without a World Series title, two

(41:34):
thousand and ninety three wins. I mean baseball through and through.
One of the guys who was like he like, when
he dies, he's probably gonna want to be buried in
a baseball uniform because he's worn a baseball uniform more
than any other article of clothing for his entire life.
Astros and the Phillies are about to take are about

(41:55):
to take off. First pitches weren't happening any second now, VJ.
Who you got in this one? Well, all the way
back in about May, I said that I thought the
Astros would win it all. I love their pitching, I
love their hitting, and I love their bullpen. And right
now you got Valdez going against Wheeler tonight. Willers already
got an e r A is seven point two. That
doesn't bode well for them, while Valdez has one at

(42:15):
one point four. To that boats very very well for them.
But I just love this Ashows team. I don't care
people say, oh, they're to these cheaters, and I'm still
watching sports journalists get on TV and the laws to
be cheaters. There's nothing but cheaters. There's listen, man, Cheating
is the American way. Everything is built on its circumvening
the rules. Everybody in the sports, especially in sports, everybody's
always trying to circlevent the rules are getting an advantage

(42:37):
in the SEC There's a saying I saw people walking
around with T shirts on that say, if you ain't cheating,
you ain't trying. Like it's it is what it is,
so I never really hold too much credence to it.
You get called, you get to spend on a PDS
and stuff like that. But I like this team, man,
and it's really all about Dusty Baker. I want this brother,
this o g this uncle. He seemed like the uncle
that brings his own barbecue sauce to the cookout, Like

(42:58):
nobody eats no meat until Uncle Dusty get there with
his homemade barbecue sauls. He's been stewing since Wednesday night
and it's now Saturday afternoon. No one's eating no ribs.
It's uncle Dusty gets there with the sauce, so I
I want to see him get this world series. And
it was more for him than the team itself. But
I like some players on his team, but I'm all

(43:19):
about Dusty baker Man, and I think it ends the
night I have them. I had him in six when
the series started, and I think they close it all tonight.
You know, it really is a story no matter which
way you look at it. The storylines are are strong.
You have the cheating astros, right whatever, there's years ago.
I'm over it, right, I'm over it. Everybody else should
move on. There's too much other stuff happening in the

(43:39):
world to be still caught up about that, unless that
you were one of the teams that they eliminated along
the way, and then I would never ever, ever let
it die. Yeah, that's so understandable. And Dodger fans don't
speaking out here in l A Dodger Town, and they
will never Jose Altuve persona and Garratta uh in southern
California for sure. But Dan real what Danny g said

(44:03):
the other day on Richard Convino that he has the
most punchable face in sports. You know. So one of
my co workers at at my podcast Extra Points podcast,
Chambers plug he has actively trained and simulated a fight
against Jose Altuve and he's determined that he Now, I'm

(44:25):
not not Eddie Spaghetti is not a small man. Okay.
To his credit, he's built similarly to defensive tackle defensive
end size, right, you know, a little under size. But
he that that's about his body type, that's his makeup.
That's just that's his his draft stock profile right there. Okay,
So Jose, he's got a bunch of inches in a
whole lot of weight on Altuve, but al tu a

(44:47):
professional athletes. So I think that you know that goes
like five too though, Dude, like you can't come on, man,
you can't want to fight that. He's too little serious,
he's too little fight. Hey, you know what, that's probably
he's probab probably been underestimated by his heights, by his
height his entire career up until probably by right now,
as he's you know, one of the best players in

(45:08):
the majors playing for the Astros right here. But I
was saying the storylines, you got the Phillies, last team
in into the I mean Bryce Harper with his broken
hand bow and I were talking about it last week.
Bryce Harper was they were running him out of town
earlier this year and now he's just bombing home runs,
got Phillies playing well into the postseason, and then ultimately

(45:29):
you got Dusty Baker and then like you guy like me,
I want to see Dusty win, like as that's one
of those that would be good in the White's household.
If like, my dad will text me tonight and be like,
I'm happy for Dusty Baker, and I'll be like, you
know what, I am too, because Phillip Astro's win this
tonight and not only that with the Phillies to storyline
you mentioned Harper, hasn't it been really cool to watch
him be able to showcase how good he really is

(45:50):
on the biggest stage when everybody's watching. Because baseball is
a hundred and sixty two and unless you are a
diehard baseball fan, you might get ten to fifteen game
aims in that you will really sit down and watched
through a hundred and sixty two games. So when the
big time big dogs get to the postseason, it's really
cool to watch them perform. And then you it's it's

(46:13):
certified its stamp. Then unlike Aaron Judge, that gets to
the postseason and then it's want want want, like it's
it's nothing. Bryce Harper gets there and that's what he's got,
four or five home runs. I mean, he's just on fire.
But I agree with you, or I guess we agree
with each other. Astros do cling it out tonight. But
it's also good for the Phillies because you also got
eight no Eagles team. Like, it's a good it's a

(46:34):
good time for the city of Philadelphia right now. So
when it comes to pro sports, Flyers even started off
high their hockey team, so good for Philly. They were
in the MLS Cup today too. I don't know what
you right, the short War they lost to the l
As lost the l A penalty kicks. That's a tough
one all you know. Jeez, maybe this is a Harvarder
of things to come. I know, right we're Philadelphia Union

(46:58):
lost the the football the football club, the soccer team, sorry,
this is America. The soccer team. Uh are putting the
death knell in the Phillies right now. And I mean, lookout,
Jalen Hurts in the Eagles. You know, he said earlier
this week, they haven't accomplished anything. That ain't no, And
he's absolutely right, but uh yeah, that's that's leadership talking

(47:20):
and I and I don't mind it, and I get it,
but yeah, you have You've accomplished eight and oh, something
the franchise you play for has never done in the
history of their existence has been eight and oh, and
he has done that. What he's doing with that is
I'm gonna be a leader, let's cap it. But yeah,
we we were nice around here. Whether people think they
are not, Bill Parcel said, you are what your record

(47:42):
says you are. They're undefeated. They are undefeated. But to
his point I think he was trying to make is
that you know, we could also lose the rest of
these games and go eight nine and then missed the
playoffs type situation. You know what I'm saying. But you
know what I'm saying. I also don't think it's going
to happen. But the possibility is, you know, that's why
he's as it like that VJ question for you, what's
the biggest bet you've ever made? Oh man? Oh uh

(48:06):
Tar Hills to win the championship with h Tyler Hann
with psychlet in that crew. Do do you feel comfortable
sharing the dollar amount thousand, a thousand dollars? Okay, that's
my biggest thousand dollars and that. But I put that
on them at the beginning of the year, so you're right, Oh, yeah, No,
I wrote it the whole year because they got to

(48:27):
the Final four the year before that and just kind
of cracked their pants against Kansas. They were up three
with three eleven left in that game and just couldn't score.
And they didn't just didn't have a point guard. That
really calmed the offense down. Next year, they they're healthy,
they blow through. That's the year they beat Michigan State
by five up in Detroit. Yeah, up in Detroit for
the Final Four. It wasn't I think I believe it was.
But yeah, that's the year they beat They they trash

(48:48):
Michigan State in the National Championship Game. The reason I
asked if the Astros dud pull this off. This guy
Mattress Mac if you're familiar. He's a Mattress salesman in Houston.
He's old man, He's gonna win. He bet ten million
dollars on the Astros to win the World Series of
Seven and a half to one. The Astros win tonight,

(49:10):
Matt just mac will pull in seven five millillion dollars.
Nice bet, but I don't have me. I don't have
ten million dollars to put. And I tell you this,
that's a strong bet. And that's someone that has a
gambling problem. I don't care. I don't know this guy.
I don't care what nobody saying. I don't If I

(49:30):
even got five million dollars, I would have a hard
time betting ten million of that on any sporting team
or sportive And unless it was Michigan for the National
Championship or the Dolphins for the Super Bowl. But to
just put it on them, and put it on that
at the beginning of the year, when injuries can happen

(49:51):
and anything could go wrong in the regular season, that's again,
that guy's got a gambling problem. So this is this,
this is the this is the I want to call
it a scam because it's not not a scam. This
is the Uh. I'm just from Detroit, so I would
call it a scam. Everything everything, every plan, every plan.
It was like, what's what's the scam here? Like I
know everybody somebody careful, aren't you flying there soon, be careful.

(50:13):
They know, trust me, they know, all right. But now,
so what he this is the the rub. He runs
promotions offering free mattresses if essentially, if the bet hits okay,
so what he'll do is en he ran a promotion
offering Texas customers free mattresses from this furniture store if

(50:35):
the Astros beat the Dodgers in the Fall Classic. No
note if there was any uh, you know, any hang
ups about the cheating in that situation. But and then
he event the bets cashed, right, and so everybody you
know that people went got free mattresses. He lost ten
million dollars and mattresses, but he won a ton of
money in the bets, so it pays all yeah, yeah,

(50:58):
And then he was out gambling. Wall are tax deductible.
So if somehow the Phillies come back and and do
you know, win back to back games here and win
this series, you could just right off the ten million dollars.
There you go, there you go, Which is well, like
I said, with you're a businessman and you got it
like that, you could play around with it. But the
whole free mattress thing, that's commendable and I like that.

(51:19):
So he's a very nice guy with a Game one problem.
That's cool. He's a nice dude, but he's still got
a gambling problem. Anytime you putting ten million, anytime you're
putting up ten mill on the game, you got an
issue bro worth three three hundred million dollars. But you know,
I said this, I said this. If that's a problem,
I'd like to have it seventy million dollars coming down

(51:39):
the pike. Uh or or you're gonna lose this ten
million if the Phillies come back and win Game six
in game seven. Maybe I'm making up in mattresses. I
don't know. But anyway, this guy threw out the first
pitch today. How about that? Oh dude, he threw out
the first with the first pitch. Oh well, hold on that. Yeah,
he might got something going on over there. He didn't,
he didn't throw it out the first pitch. I'm always
weary of like local connected, rich people that are involved

(52:02):
with teams. If you remember, there you go, there you go.
You knew exactly where I was going. You knew exactly
where the hell I was going. I'm always weary of
rich money people that don't have nothing to do with
the team or the program being gifted type of even
like like throwing out the first pitch, are their name

(52:23):
on the field, are the training facility? Always he's like
the He's like the Jacob m Moroni of the Astros
pretty much, you guys. Jacob is like a lawyer that's
sponsored by the Lakers out here, so he's always the
billboards all that. And that's what mattress Mac is for Houston.
Oh really, okay, pretty much something every Ducal celebrity thin
gets free advertising no matter what. Yeah, free advertising. I'm

(52:46):
sure a whole bunch of the things going way to
Did you guys see the video of him getting heckled
by Philly fans? Yeah, didn't you get like a fight
last game? Yeah, he lost his temper because he's nine
years old and a Philly fan like said something to him,
so he started to scream at them with obscenities. It
was very funny. So quick question, you're worth three hundred
million dollars and you're saying where you could get in

(53:07):
the sea, That's what I'm talking about, dude, ain't right, man,
You already got a gambler probably, and you go to Philly.
My father the big Vanilla Senior. It's from Philly, born
and bred. He ain't never lived no world other than
being in the military. My papa is Philly, Philly. You
are worth three hundred million dollars, dude, I have' worth
three hundred million dollars. I'm hovering on a helicopter over
the stadium watching the game. I ain't sitting with the

(53:29):
regular people. Dude. At least think he'd be in a
luxury box. Yeah, like, how you get Do you think
he pop up in the sweet? You know, saying for you?
I would probably spring for the sweet if I was mattressed. Man,
the spring for too sweets. I don't want nobody next
to me. I'm not rich, dude, I don't want nobody
next to me. I bought that one out to speaking
of old rich dudes. Uh, Tom Brady, the Buccaneers. This

(53:55):
ain't this season, Like the disasters start and it's their opponent.
This with the Los Angeles Rams not much better. Okay,
both of these teams off the rough starts. They played
next week. This had to be a game with the
schedule makers scheduled, there's like, oh, this is gonna be
a banger. Guess what it's not, but we'll break it down.
Coming up next is a Loser Leave Town Martin and VJ,

Big green egg dot Com. Now, as I was reading
that at I just thought about it, you know, Roll
with the Best. Todd Bowles had to think as this
season was starting and he's, you know, kind of unceremoniously

(54:59):
as well as unceremoniously as you can be slotted into
the head coaching job when Bruce arians retires or whatever
he does, and and Tom Brady comes back and all
this other Holt Nick. He had to think that he
was gonna have a better team than he has right now,
right and the super defending Super Bowl champions. I mean,

(55:20):
I don't want to say the writing was on the
wall because they again are the defending Super Bowl champions.
But you know what what worth doing TV now, you
know what I'm saying. The offensive line, you kind of
saw some of the things. Maybe maybe you saw a
little bit of a talent drain there. But the idea
that these two teams at this point in the year
are playing for a game which to me feels like

(55:42):
it's getting real dark out. If they lose, whatever, the
rams of the Buccaneers, the loser of this game has
to really re evaluate how they're gonna move forward for
the rest of this season and if they're gonna be
in the postseason in general. Well, my thing with this
game is, I'm first of all, I'll just going to
tell you I think the Bucks are gonna win this

(56:03):
that I think the Bucks are gonna be fine because
I think they have the better quarterback. And I think
that he's going through are have gotten through some of
the stuff that was rumored that he was going through
in his personal life, and I think now that that's
settled and the papers have been signed and that's they're
moving forward with that part of their lives. Him and
his uh well soon to be ex wife. I think
Tom can kind of zone back in and kind of

(56:25):
focus back in. And I think it's easier for him
to do it that it is for Matthew Stafford. And
when I look at the Rams, I did a show,
uh here before we started our show, maybe a little
over a month ago, and I told the host I
was having a show with the Rams are not a
good football team. His first reaction was, what they want
the Super Bowl? Las year? Yeah, that's last year. They're
not a good football team. I've been saying this for
a month. That defense, you talk about the private numb

(56:46):
or some talent. They did add some talent to that defense.
They saw Bobby Wagner who was a hundred fifty tackle guy,
Like he's a hundred plus tackle guy the last what
seven eight years? So you bought in talent. That defense
is ranked in the NFL, Ladies and gentlemen, I mean,
it's use me. The offenses ring thirty. If the defense
is fifth, the talents on the defense, the offensive side
of ball, excuse me, is ring thirty. They don't have

(57:06):
anywhere they can go other than Cooper Cup And that's
the problem. When you look at their offense, is Cooper
Cup or bus And I think the offense is also
having a super ball hangover. The defense is holding their
in down. But when you have one side of the
ball ring thirty and one side of the ball ranked five,
that's not a good football team. Your offensive defense is
on opposite ends of the spectrum. And that's the problem

(57:29):
that they're having there. I don't think they can recover.
There's all the cam Acre stuff. That McVeigh. It's weird.
It's weird, you know why. You know why everybody is
sold on McVeigh. But me, I know he wanted to ring. Okay,
that doesn't mean I have to be sold on him though,
because he want to ring. You know what he's really
good at. He's really good at being young and exuberant

(57:50):
and knowing how to talk to the press. He knows
how to mingle with the with the press and the
media in general. Like he's a guy that you go, man,
you know what, that dude seems cool. I can hang
with him. I want to have a shot of tequila
with that guy. I have a beer with that guy
in the back porch watching our kids run around the yard,
and you think it's gonna be a great time. He's
good at that, But that doesn't mean that when it
comes time to draw some exces and nose Monday through Saturday,

(58:12):
they get ready for Sunday. That don't mean every coach
can do it. I thought last year the stars kind
of aligned for the Ramps. So I I think their
season is over with if you ask me, Bucks, Cardinals, Saints, Chiefs, Seahawks.
Those are their next five games. They might win one
of those games. They're not beating the Chiefs, they're not
beating the Seahawks, and they might not go to the
Saints New Orleans and beat the Saints. I don't think

(58:33):
they win tomorrow. I think maybe they can get the Cardinals.
And you would love that because you're still mad at
Kingsbury for taking the last Glazes donut at the last
SPS after party before you got it at closing time.
So first hold on the way send Cliff Kingsbury has
not eating the Glaze donut and probably like when you
look at that guys got six when you I'm sure
he doesn't. But when you look at that guy, he

(58:55):
screams the type of guy he's like, he's I would
never like he doesn't eat process foods. Man, Like you
see what he puts in his hair. There's no way
he putting process foods in his body. And you know what,
that's funny too because and this plays off what we're
talking about Tom Brady. Remember the Someway commercery you have
with Steph Curry and step goes do you even eat bread?
He's like, come on, step it's a commercial, So like, Tom,

(59:17):
why are you even in this commercial? You do you
even eat bread? And we know Tom Brady doesn't eat right.
But I just think the Rams are going through a
Super Bowl hangover. I said this about Aaron Donald. When
you start talking retirement, you're already there. He talked about
how last year was going to be his last year,
and then he changed his mind once that once all
the pats on the bat came, that felt good. That's
hard to walk away from. I think a few more

(59:39):
million dollars came his way to that helps cool. But
you know what, though, he doesn't strike me. He's a
family man. He's his wife and I believe three or
four kids. He strikes me as a guy who's done
well with his money. I I just won't. I just don't.
I'm saying that he that he quote unquote needed the money.
But if you're gonna give it to me, you know
what I'm saying, I'm gonna go to work. I was
saying checked out though, in my opinion, just the way

(01:00:01):
I look you already, so you are alread checked out
all right. So if that's the case, then how does
it work to Tom Brady actually retired and then decided
to come back and checked out. No, I'm just saying, like,
you know, just just just keeps calling space to space.
I this Tampa team has been had a terrible off
season and it's really been like they they have the

(01:00:21):
inability to run the balls or Shot White, who'll probably
get a lot more touches in this game and we'll
see how he's able to do. Lord Lendon Fournette is
still gonna be like the quote unquote guy, but White
gives them a little bit more juice. In the backfield
is a faster, more of a more of a Jeff
Wilson Jr. Type or or marahe Moster type of back
It's more of a speed guy, whereas for a net

(01:00:42):
is more of a guy who's gonna make a guy
miss and try to run somebody over. Right, So it
would be interesting to see. I'm interesting something if they're
able to get something out of that. This Buccaneers team
is generally, I mean, they got hurt early in the
season and have not really been able to recover from it.
And ultimately, like I think that Brady and his whole
situation going on with his family and all that, Like,

(01:01:04):
I don't take too much stock into that. But the
idea that because I don't know, I don't know the
marital status, you've never been married before. No, I'm no,
I've never been married before yet. But I also don't
know the marital status of anybody else who's playing in
that game. I don't know anybody if any other player
is going through a divorce or going through a breakup
or going it is in an argument with their spell
Like I don't know, you know what I'm saying, Like,

(01:01:25):
so I I don't. It's not something I'm putting into
my handicapping in that way. And also I kind of
have the feeling that, you know, both of him and
Gizelle are worth millions and millions and millions, and Giselle's
international superstar. The idea that they got their divorce settled
in like six or seven weeks is hard for me
to square. You know, I feel like this is something
like it. The finalization came out to where I feel

(01:01:46):
like maybe he retired to try to save his marriage initially,
and then after forty days he realized this ain't gonna work.
I might as gonna play ball again. That to me
feels more realistic. So I've like, I don't know how
much of an impact it's actively having on him right now.
I feel like it's kind of all kind of adjudicated
a few months ago, earlier this year had an impact
on him. Trust me on this as a as a

(01:02:07):
when you're married, that's your world, especially when you have children,
that's your world. That and God comes first. Everything else
falls fifth, six, seventh, and eighth, My my my my kids,
and my faith. That's one to three. My family, my
f that's one to three. Bro. Everything else falls in
after that because everything else is gonna help take care
of that. As long as I take care of one
to three, everything else is gonna fall right in place.

(01:02:28):
I'll be fine. But when that gets messed up is
when you start to see the chinks in the armor
and him taking the break during the training camp. It
started then, but I jokingly said that, hey, that was
probably Giselle saying no, no, no, no no. We planned
this vacation a year ago. You're going, I don't care
what camp you're in, You're going on this. And it

(01:02:50):
started from there and this because of all the personal
marital stuff. And I think that's a lot of times
once a man gets through there are a woman gets
through that they can focus back on what they do
have left and what he letus have left there still
his kids. In football, you know, I'm not gonna say
Texas is back because they already have three losses this season,
but they're looking good so far in the first half
against the top TENSI isn't a top ten ding right there.

(01:03:10):
Let's see that nine next to them, Top twenty, top
fifteen team. Now you go on Kansas State, the thirteenth
ring team in the nation for that and even more
sports going on. World Series l s U Alabama Steve
Steger's trend again sports Well World Series Game six on
Fox TV right now from Houston, top seed in the
American League hosting Philadelphia, the last team to get into
the National League playoffs. Tonight's game scoreless in the top

(01:03:33):
of the second, but two on with two out for Philly.
Astro's lead the series three games to two. They could
clinch tonight from Bert Valdez is their starting pitcher. He
allowed to walk in a hit batter in the first inning,
but got a double play in between, so no damage here.
He's allowed in the second a one out single and
now a two out walk, so again two on two out,

(01:03:54):
second inning, scoreless. Philadelphia at Houston, Game six of the
World Series. Kyle College football at Georgia today. The Bulldogs
lad number one Tennessee one three early in the second
quarter and beat him twenty seven to thirteen. Quarterback Stetson
Bennett with all three touchdowns. Each team was eight and oh.
Number two Ohio State gotta win at Northwestern twenty one nothing.

(01:04:15):
The Buckeys trailed seven nothing late in the first half
in the wind and the rain. Mayan Williams with two
touchdown runs in the second half. Number four Clemson at
eight and OH is losing it. Notre Dame seven nothing irish.
In the second quarter, Notre Dame scored on a block
punt return for a touchdown, their sixth block punt this year.
Number five Michigan, with an eight and OH record, is

(01:04:36):
in action right now. In fact, a lot of games
in action right now. Michigan up fourteen ten at Rutgers
early in the second quarter. Also going on FS one
top twenty five matchup has Texas leading at Kansas State
twenty four to ten. At number fourteen Utah, you it's
ahead of Arizona fourteen seven early second quarter. NC stayed
out to a three nothing lead late first quarter against

(01:04:57):
wake Forest. And yes, it's Alabama at l s U
right now. A top ten matchup with a minute and
a half to go till halftime has l s U
up seven three. Bama's star quarterback Bryce Young a hundred
thirty four yards passing, but just nine of nineteen, and
he has thrown an interception in the end zone. There
are a couple of games not starting for another two hours.
Number seven, excuse me. Number nine USC is hosting cal

(01:05:20):
A number twelve u C l As at Arizona State
in a couple hours. By the way, that's the USC
homecoming and that is next door to the soccer stadium
of l A f C south of downtown Los Angeles.
No parking was available for the soccer today. It was
all taken up by Trojans. But if you wanted to
park at Dodger Stadium at shuttle that was available. A

(01:05:41):
phenomenal MLS final on Fox TV today, l a f
C tied up Philadelphia late and extra time eventually beat
him on penalty kicks the Breeders Cup Classic. It was
won by flight Line by eight and a half lengths.
And in the NBA, the first final of the night
is an overtime win for Sacramento at the Buzzer three Orlando,
the long shot the game winner from Deer and Foxy

(01:06:02):
at thirty seven points. Orlando falls to two and eight. Yeah,
that is far. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's
not a shuttle, that's a that's a that's a trip.
Let me get this right. You're got a pack. You said,
you said if you wanted to park for the for
the l a f C game, Yeah, you had to
go to Dodger Stadium to take a shuttle back down

(01:06:25):
to the USC l a f C area. Yeah. The
headline was traffic nightmare expected today as soccer and football
fans descend, that's not a shuttle, that's a greyhound. I mean, yeah,
that's a buss. That's not a shuttle. One PM afternoon
soccer game but it went overtime plus penalty kicks, and

(01:06:46):
of course people were already tailgating for the USC game. Sure,
I mean I can imagine. I mean laurd at Mercy.
I mean, I've heard of a lot of things in
l A that don't make a lot of sense, but
they're just l A things. Yeah, that doesn't make sense anywhere.
They were saying that for the first five thousand cars
at Dodger Stadium, the parking would be free and the
shuttle would be free. But you're right, it's nowhere near

(01:07:07):
the USC area. I would rather pay money. I would
rather pay like if if the if the option is
drive from my home in Inglewood to Dodger Stadium to
then have a shuttle back down to USC, to shuttle
back up to Dodger Stadium to then drive back home.
I would rather pay like fifty bucks and take a Uber.
I was about to say I would just uber. The

(01:07:28):
last SC game I went to Uber from Sherman Oaks.
I didn't drive. I was like, I'll just uber and
then we'll walk down the street to the McDonald's and
the and the Exon that's right there where everybody gathers
and you call your Uber there, you get back on
the uber, you get right back onto ten and you
go home. I mean, I'm not saying it's optimal, right,
It's more expensive than you know, would be getting on
an actual bus that has like stops and roots, and

(01:07:49):
but like, lord a mercy, you gotta be that's a
high level dedication right there, Thanks Steve. I once shuttle
from they had his park at Staples Center, paying to
park the forty dollars at Staples Center and then shuttle
south to the Colisseum for a USC game. Oh no,
oh nah nah nah, And then trying of course to
get back on the shuttle after everyone's exiting the coliseum

(01:08:12):
at the same time was just a disaster. And then
what happens after that, you get to fight downtown l
a traffic congratulations. Happened when someone about this this afternoon,
they said exactly that. They said, did they get like
a police escort from Dodger Stadium like you like the
teams do with the bus? Wow? I mean, Lord of that,
that is insane. Yeah. I don't have any way to

(01:08:34):
to to segue out of that because I'm my mind
is literally blown. No, no, dude, I'm which I'm sitting
here just like hold because we live here, right, and
everybody know that this is the most inside radio ever
because like if you don't, have you ever been in
l A, let me just tell you something. They're very
far first, and then on top of that, the amount
of people in traffic you're gonna have to get through it.
I mean on a Saturday crossing with the five and

(01:08:56):
the ten and the once are what in the one
on one it's five miles but it's not five minutes.
Let me put it right exactly. It's five miles, not
five the best way to put it. Thanks Steve. Now,
I don't have any easy segue to this. I'm just
getting right to it. The Jets and the Bills played
this weekend. The Jets were everybody's media darling's up until
last week. They had Breece Hall go down, a VT

(01:09:19):
goes down, Elijah Vera Tucker talking about USC Elija Vera
Tucker goes down as well for the New York Jets.
But this week, you know it's Josh Allen is Zach Wilson, right,
So this is kind of that's that's the quarterback match up,
both both first round picks. You know, it's real, real,
sexy type of matchup, or at least it would be
if Zach Wilson was living up to the second round

(01:09:39):
overall number two overall pick billing that he did receive. Okay,
So Josh Allen obviously took him a minute to get
on to get to get everything in order. But once
he did, year three or four really turned into a
different type of player, right, And it's been a meteorc
rise that we really had not seen before in NFL
here street, at least in my opinion. I'm sure there's

(01:10:02):
other people. Maybe you could find somebody else who's gotten
that much better after being after actually playing in the NFL.
But I digressed because he was asked about Zack Wilson, okay,
and he said, basically, sometimes it takes a little longer.
It took me a while to understand the nuances of
this game and trying not to do too much. I

(01:10:22):
think that's what it comes down to, not trying to
do too much and allowing you to trust your guys
on the field with you. Now, VJ. That's Josh Allen,
who I said before mete York Climb in terms of
his ability and Zach Wilson yesterday or last week had
three throwaways that landed inside the field of play. I

(01:10:46):
tweeted about you know, I was like, you know, you know,
this is just something like I'm not this isn't a
take and it is an observation. It's like, it seems
like a lot of these balls are landing inside the
field of play when he's intending to throw them out
of the field to play. After that, twenty minutes later
in real lifetime, he had thrown two interceptions. So and
that the Zach Wilson Extravaganza experienced so far for the

(01:11:09):
New York Jets. You gotta feel good about this season
so far. But I think ultimately, you know, it went
left when Breeze Hall went down, because now you're gonna
have to trust your quarterback to make things happen. Listen, man,
this is my account, right if you're on one of
these shows and here in the city, this is my
account because I'm a lifelong Dolphin fan and the Bills
ain't one nothing in fifty six years in the in

(01:11:31):
the Jets of the bumbass Jets. I know how I
feel about the Jets. Are you kidding me with this? Like?
Are you? Are you sick? And I've and I've come
off the Oh, I'm not sold on Josh Allen. Listen,
I've seen enough the dudes, legit. You know what he
was reminding me of. He was reminded me of a
young Big Ben And that's enough said. So if somebody
says that about Josh Allen, all right, man, I'm sold in.
I don't want to see him win because I'm a
Dolphins guy. I don't want them to win the super Bowl.

(01:11:53):
But if you ask me about Josh Allen, I'm gonna
just have to suck that up. Man, as a professional
go you know what, man, I ain't gonna front that
dude is real. Man. They got their franchise guard for
the next you know, eight nine, ten years, however long
he stays healthy. But Zack Wilson, we only know him
off of a off of a Pro day throw. That's
the only reason why we even know who this kid is.
That's not true because he did, like apparently may not

(01:12:16):
have looked up with somebody's mom when we knew that though,
And that's to your point. Since the Pro day thrown,
Since the day throw, I watched a ton of college football.
I watched him at b y U and if you
put the tape on the two thousand nineteen season, he
was horrible. The COVID year where they didn't play anybody

(01:12:36):
is when everybody thought he was gonna be good. And
then the ball game against Coastal Carolina that nobody right now, listen,
it can name me one player that's ever come from
Coastal Carolina that's in the NFL without looking it up.
Likely he could that because I'm listening to you right now.
I like, okay, alright, cool, were you listen? You get

(01:12:58):
that one? But most eyes listening could not so, and
he couldn't move the ball against him, and he gets
one Pro day throw. He's a good looking kid. He
fits the look. He fits what people want their quarterback
to be in our society. We want our quarterback to
look a certain way, talk a certain way, act a
certain way. Josh Allen is doing with these with certain people.
Do they're keeping there, They're defending their brother, They're defending

(01:13:21):
their fraternity guy. And oh it takes a while. You
need weapons and things of that nature, which is true,
But why don't justin fields and two A Tygerby Looa
and Kyle Murray and Kyler Murray and and and and
Lamar Jackson was already one a m VP. Why are
they not getting the same type of talk? And these
guys are already putting up numbers and leading their teams.
This is no comparison. He was probably defending a kid

(01:13:42):
that he might like and just keeping in the fraternity.
Zach Wilson sucks. He's gonna continue to suck. The Jets
are gonna have I said it last week. They're gonna
go about a fort or five game losing streak in
the next uh six or seven games. Man, this this
was a crazy story. But I ain't got no I
ain't got nothing else with this. I mean, I'm no
football genius, all right, you know, play one on the
radio every so often. But this is what if I

(01:14:04):
can see it, this is what my general logical football.
If I can see it, the coaches on the other
sidelines that will be able to see you too seeing it. Well,
after that's soliloquy about the New York Jets. I can't
imagine that VJ is going to be picking them to
upset the Buffalo Bill. But we will get into who
is on upset alert the Atomic Dogs up next. Fox

(01:14:25):
Sports Radio. VJ my first dog in a week. You
already know where I'm going. I bet I have a
feeling that you already know. I think you like this
game too, But I mean, who on Earth got the
Cardinals favorite on the road against Atlanta. This team is
elite against the spread. And let me tell you this,

(01:14:46):
Cordelle Paterson coming back. They're gonna run the ball up
and down the field against the Los Angeles Chargers the
Atlanta Falcons. That's right, three point on the dogs. They're
winning out right next week Sunday rather tomorrow. All right,
I got a big gotta bead and one for you, man,
I'm going My name is VJ. So I'm gonna go
with p J. As in p J Walker, the quarterback
that has filled in uh quite nicely, honestly for the

(01:15:09):
Carolina Panthers fired, did coach? You and I were talking
to the commercial brain. It's something to be said about
teams that Friday coach. Sometimes they play really bad and
fall off, and sometimes teams just really knuckle up and
come together, man for everybody, and play and play really
really hard. Man. Give me the Panthers on the road
against the Bengals, who couldn't score and move the ball
against the Browns on Monday Night, Jamar chases out. Man,
give me the Bengals at the plus seven and a

(01:15:30):
half man to upset the Bengals on the road. Give
me the Panthers for the doll. I love p J. Walker.
Long lived the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL. Big Man
and p J Walker played in every football that you
can find. Did you know what that was a hell
of a throw that he made? A wild think about
p J Walker? The only reason these days because Matt
Rule was his coach. He had him in the room
the entire time, and they did all of that trading

(01:15:53):
and Baker Mayfield of Sam Donald, I'm getting off track.
I'm losing the point. But you know what I am on.
I'm here. I've been preaching him for the last couple
of weeks. The fall of the Bays, Green Bay, Tampa Bay.
Both of them are in big time trouble. And you
know how much trouble they're in. They're in so much
trouble that Dan Campbell and the Detroit lines are going

(01:16:14):
to pick up their second one of the year. And
let me tell you something to v you. I covered
that team for years. The Detroit lines. This win on
Sunday is going to give Dan Campbell more rope than
a sailor trying to bring the sail back in. I
promise you he's this is gonna get him an entire
year off of this one man. Aaron Rodgers owns them
like he owned all theumn fresh pair of sneakers you

(01:16:36):
sit in front of when you do your video at home.
Aaron Rockers owns them. Get out of here with that, man.
Let me give you all a real dog giving up
Seattle Seahawks, and two weeks ago, Pete Carroll was an
honorary Vanilla Brother of the Week. I just love the
way Geno Smith is playing. I love the way Walkers
running the football. Hey, Pete, he's drafted just like he
drafted that Super Bowl team ten years ago. Fifth round,

(01:16:57):
fourth round. Rookie here, rookie, they're on drafted guy here,
all starting, all making contributions. They're on the road against
your beloved Arizona Cardinals. One of your favorite coaches of
all time, Cliff Kingsbury. Plus to give me the Seahawks
on the road and stay in first place in the
NFC West as a dog, just a broken line right there.
The Seahawks are the better team. I can't believe that

(01:17:19):
they're like talking no, no, I mean I I agree
with I mean, that's one of my favorite picks of
the week. But it's just the idea that what have
you seen the Arizona Cardinals to have them favored I mean,
I mean, Lord A Mercy, I don't know what they've
seen the same thing. I don't know what they've seen
to the Tampa Buccaneers have them favored to. I get
this the Rams. The Rams defense has been absolutely terrible,

(01:17:39):
but in a weird way, I feel like getting Cooper
Cup hurt as long as he's able to go and
be effective on Sunday, may have helped the Rams and
practice because you know what, he didn't practice, he wasn't going.
They had to throw the ball to somebody else. Maybe
we'll see that play out in the UH and what
is going to be as just a devastatingly boring game
between the Rams and the Buccaneers. I'm taking the Rams
out right, all right. I got another one for y'all

(01:18:00):
to man, I'm gonna go back home. I talked about
my Vanello brother the week, Blake Korn, who's from Virginia,
and I'm gonna go home to the whole team. They're
not my team, but I got a lot of friends
and family members back home now are Washington Commander fans,
and they need some love right now. So the big Vanilla,
I told Darling Show I'm about love, So I'm gonna
give some love back home to the DNV. Give me
the Commanders with Heineke at home against the Vikings with

(01:18:21):
the plus three where everything they got going on, I
think Ron, we're very closed the door told everybody put
their phones and everything away. Say guys, let's show the
new owners they're gonna have to sell this team. Let's
show the new owner the product that they are buying.
They will beat the Vikings at home at FedEx Field.
Give me the Commanders and shout out to all my
people's back in the DNF. I'm rotting with y'all this weekend, baby,

(01:18:43):
and that is the dogs VJ. Good luck to you,
my friend. And I tell you I don't necessarily love
that Commander's pick, but some man the other ones I
do pick. All right, then I'm glad we're able to arge.
Let's go ahead and argue about it all right? Coming
up next, I mean it just it. News just broke
Kyrie Irving's new uh. Six items he must complete Fox

(01:19:05):
Sports Radio. We'll get into that coming up next. That's right,
we're broadcasting live from the ti iraq dot com studios
ti iraq dot com. We'll help you get there and
unmatt selection, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, over
ten thousand recommended installers ti iraq dot com. The way
tire buying should be fresh off the press's h VJ.

(01:19:26):
Here Shan Sharania, who NBA insider, I don't know what
whatever the correct term is NBA tweeter, which is gonna
be terribly interesting as a quick aside if Elon must
decides the dead Twitter and in whatever type of way,
what is like guys like chalms and woes and news
breakers quote unquote where do they go? But anyway, we
still have Twitter for at this moment in time, and

(01:19:47):
so I'll read you now the contents of a tweet.
Sources from Sean Sharania. The nets have delivered Kyrie Irving
six items he must complete to return to the team,
apologize and condemned the movie. Five hundred thousand dollars donations
to an anti hate cause sensitivity training, anti Semitic training,

(01:20:07):
meet with the Anti Defamation League and other Jewish leaders,
and then meet with Joe said to demonstrate understanding. So
that is the is the tasks that Kyrie Irving must
complete per sham Sharania to get off of this essentially
probation from the brooklyness. Is this this temporary suspension that
are sorry, rather I should say indefinite suspension. This is

(01:20:30):
what he can do that's going to last at least
five games. He has at least five games, and I
guess however long it takes him to to get through
these steps before he can rejoin the team. Um, has
this been delivered to Kyrie? Is it reported that has
been delivered to Kyrie? Or did the Nets put this
out and say they will be doing says Nets have
delivered Kyrie Irving six items? Okay, so Kyrie now house him. Well,

(01:20:54):
it's now up to Kyrie whether he chooses to stand
where he is or he chooses to do all of
this with the assumption that once he completes it, he's
allowed to come back and play. Well, if Cabre wants
to come back and play, you'll do it. But if
Caybree wants to stand where he's standing, then that'll be
interesting to see where it goes from there. So I'm
not sure with meeting with people and all that stuff.

(01:21:17):
I mean, they just turned down five thousand dollar donation, correct,
Did I read that that? I see to read that right? Okay,
So they're saying he needs to make he needs to
redo that donation. Is that? Is that what Sham's is
saying he has to redo the sex items he must complete.
He has to donate five hundred thousand dollars to anti
hate cars. You may not then the one that you

(01:21:38):
were referencing just a second ago was the Anti Defamation League.
He made that donation of five hundred thousand dollars, which
was matched by the Brooklyn Nets. But then shortly thereafter
he does his uh we we really should have names
for these, right, because he does this availability uh at
the shoot around right, and then after that where that
in that moment where he goes, I can't be anti

(01:22:00):
Semitic because I know where I come from. Uh. After that,
he then loses. Then they then the Anti Defamation Lee
returned the five dollars. Okay, So that's what it was.
They said they would not accept his donation. I don't,
I don't. I don't really have a response on that. Man.
I mean, it's it's balls in his court now, So
I guess we'll have to see you. We reported because

(01:22:21):
it was breaking, but we now the next move is okay,
what is Kyrie gonna do? Is he gonna go through
with it? And I think then would be a better
chance for me to actually have an opinion on it.
I just stuff like this happens when people get in trouble,
when people say things towards certain groups. Are there's are
there's an assumption that somebody feels some way, are they
do some sort of certain group. There have been times
before where you have to go do a bunch of
things to get back into good graces. Uh. Kobe Bryant

(01:22:44):
had to do it when he when he yelled uh
the sny at the referee back in the day. So
you know, it's it's happened before, So this is nothing new.
So we'll see Karie does yeah, and I'll wait on that.
I ultimately think that he's done uh in the NBA
at this point. So then would you do why would
you here too? So then would that would that be
safe to say? That you think he's probably not gonna

(01:23:05):
do that. I mean, whether he does all this or not,
I don't want to say it's almost immaterial or it's
almost secondary, because I have no faith that. Let's say
he does all of these things and in a relatively
quick amount of time. Right, let's say he gets all
six of these items done in in in the five game.

(01:23:26):
Well that's the four more games now that he was
suspended because they played, so they three after tonight. So
that's a little bit hard for me to stomach. So
maybe maybe mrs six or seven, eight games getting this done.
I have no faith actually said, in the opposite way,
Kyrie has shown in his history that different things will

(01:23:49):
get in the way of him playing basketball. Right now,
this is one that I didn't see coming right the whole.
But I also didn't see coming that after j Anruary six,
a moment which honestly rocked a lot of people, but
rocked him so much that he decided he couldn't go
play ball anymore for a couple of days. Right, Like
Stephen A. Smith caught a lot of caught a lot

(01:24:11):
of flak because he said he wasn't sure if Kyrie
was gonna come and play after Russia invaded Ukraine. But
like the reality of the situation is, Kyrie has used
several different world events as a reason to not play basketball, right,
whether whether it is it's something that he feels like
he has to stand on ultimately, or whether it's something

(01:24:31):
that you know it is just you know, his cause
at that period of time. But what I think ultimately
about Kyrie Irving, I think you see somebody who's defiant
and and not interested at all in what people. He
does not value the opinions of people. He does like
of of everybody, right, like and I'm saying, you know,

(01:24:52):
he's said that he's I don't know, I don't I
don't value that the opinions of peasants as as as
something like the things of that nature like in and
he really, I think believes that. And then probably because
he's been told his whole life how great he is,
and he is absolutely great at basketball. He said peasants,
he called people peasants. I missed that now almost it
was either him or Kevin Durant, but it was on Twitter.

(01:25:14):
So but ultimately the idea that ultimately, whether or not
he said and I shouldn't let me go back Kyrie.
The way he acts. He acts like he is above people.
He acts like he is smarter than on, operating on
a higher plane. He's one of the types of people
that doesn't who uses the word overstand on ironically right.
And those type of people really, honestly did drive me

(01:25:36):
nuts because and it's a personal thing for me, because
I like, I'm smart, I know what I'm smart, and
I've been educated with some of the best places that
you can go get an education at, and have the
ability to discern fact from fiction, and and and having
ability to have a solid set of base. But somebody
like Kyrie, if you don't agree with him, it's because

(01:25:57):
you just don't understand yet. You haven't been exposed is yet.
Whereas no, man, you're just wrong here. And the thing is,
he's not going to back down. He's never back down
from the Earth is flat. He's never back down from
any of these other different crazy takes that he's had.
And this one, which is anti Semitic and pretty vile,

(01:26:18):
is one that I don't see ay him saying like, hey,
you know what I think he said. I've apologized twice.
If I'm Kyrie, That's how he would feel I don't
think it was acceptable either time. But ultimately, at the
end of the day, the Nets are missing the opportunity
to take back control of their franchise right now because
with all of this, what is the sixth step program
to show you're not anti semitic? Like it's it very

(01:26:40):
much is giving. Oh, we caught this guy saying the
N word, so let's get this together to show he's
not racist. Right, it's the same vibes, Whereas like, I
don't know if that's gonna change. If this, I don't
know in the same way that I don't think sensitivity
training will change uh Papa John Snider for example, or
whatever his last name is. I'm not sure how much

(01:27:01):
this of impact is gonna have on Kyrie Irving. It's
something designed to make the Nets feel more palatable, to
bring him back into the fold, when in reality, all
they're doing is throwing good money after bad This situation
is terrible. They should just release him, quite honestly, and
I bet he wouldn't get picked up by any other
team at this point. Radio you and I. You and

(01:27:22):
I both probably believe that his NBA career is in
serious jeopardy, because that's just what happens. I'm old enough
to remember Craig Hodges, and people that don't know the
story of Craig Hodges. They want a super want the
NBA Championship with Chicago Bulls. And when they went to
visit the White House, he gave George Bush a letter
of some demands and some wants from the black community,

(01:27:43):
and uh, a phone call was made. There was no
social media back then. There was no Internet back then,
so I don't know what the pay per troll was
and there's no way to really, you know, really pay
pertroll chase anything. But all I do know is he
never played in the NBA again. To the tune of
when he came he was the reigning three point shooting
champion for All Star Weekend, he came back to definished
championship and win thirty dollars because he was broke. He

(01:28:04):
had to wear a white uniform that just said NBA
on it. Like there was a team that wouldn't touch him,
but they would let him at least come make you
some peanuts, make you thirty and win. Uh. Anyone, he
went back and went back to back and when at
three point shoot out again. I also remember Chris Jackson
a k A raoulf l s U and play for
the different Nuggets some other teams in the NBA. Was
another guy who was Muslim and prayed during the national anthem,

(01:28:28):
and sooner or later he was out of the NBA
was never signed again by anybody else. So it feels
like that this is where this is teetering on and
where this is heading. But I will say this, it
feels like the Nets are trying to do one or
two things. They're either trying to save Kyrie or they're
trying to let him take himself out. Because if he

(01:28:48):
says I'm not doing that, then the Nets can say, okay, fine,
we gotta cut you. And then to the public, into
public perception, they could say, hey, look we tried, Okay,
we asked up all the job we have him to
all these things. We gain a list of things to do.
He went and comply, so it saves those relationships that
they still have to deal with. So it feels like
and I'm not mad at the list because I just

(01:29:10):
think it's it's what's gonna happen. I've seen this happen before.
Once again, as I said earlier in the show, I'm
not gonna act like I don't live in a world
in the society that I know I live in. So
it feels like they're like, Okay, let's do this, and
this is either gonna bring them back into the fold
and everybody will there will be another person to talk
about a week from now, two weeks from now, to
be another athlete or another celebrity in trouble. They'll be

(01:29:31):
talking about that guy and tweeting about that guy, and
we'll just go on and play basketball. Or if he
doesn't do it, it takes us off the hook, and
he kind of just hangs himself off the job because
the public perception is what it already is already. And
even if he does these six things, you cannot tell
me and get me to believe that this would change

(01:29:52):
of the people's opinion that feel how they already feel
about him. These six things is not gonna change that.
Don't tell me it's raining while you peeing him. My.
All they do is they make it more palatable for
people who have like they make it more palatable around
the league, around other places to say, okay, look, look
we didn't just do nothing, alright, we we made him

(01:30:13):
do something. He did have to go and be subjected
to this that in the third does that make people
change their pain about him? What? What? What makes it
not go away? And I have no faith that it
is going to go away? Is because when he's asked
about it, like, he's never shown a shred of remorse
at any stage for any movement, even even if you

(01:30:35):
just tick to the basketball when he left Cleveland, when
he left Boston, it wasn't like, you know, he's not
exactly the type of guy that's taking out full page
ads in the back of the local newspaper, right like
to ingratiate himself to the fans, and like, ultimately, yeah,
I do think that his career is in a completely terrible,
like a perilous spot. But it is only due to

(01:30:56):
his own doing. And if he was not, if he
was a player not of his just and uh and
and and uh was the stature, he be already sitting
at home just as Yeah. Yeah, that sports period. If
the bigger the star you are, the more you can do,
the more you get away with. I I come from
an area of guys getting you know, convicted, caught with

(01:31:17):
cocaine and guns in the car and and you know,
and all the fighting fans and stuff. I come from
that era, bro, and they still were able to come
back and play with They were superstars, they were big
time players. These guys are in some of them here
in the Hall of Fame. That's I'm not making up
anything or gossip and those are just facts. But at
this point in this world we live in today, there
as as again, there's so much there's so much venom

(01:31:40):
out there to be felt and to be read that
it is more likely for guys to lose their ability
to make money and live their life nowadays than it
used to be. I'll act you do you think today
we sit here in November five, do you think Kyrie
Ever dribbles an NBA basketball again? I would have to
take the know, Like if I were to bet on it,

(01:32:03):
I bet no, I would bet I would be to know.
But I do think the note would be at plus money,
like right, I think ultimately there's a clear path for
him to do it. I'm just thinking he's not going
to follow. So you know, so you don't think Kybe
is not doing these six things? In your eyes, he's
not doing this. I mean I don't see a successful

(01:32:23):
completion of them, right, So like like maybe he does
like half of them, or it's like, how did I
know he's not gonna do it? He's not doing app
I just I just don't see this happening in a way,
And maybe I'm wrong, you know what I'm saying, Maybe
in the next four or five days he can sit
down with a whole bunch of people, will become educated,
and ultimately, I think what he's gonna have to do

(01:32:45):
is admit that he didn't watch the whole damn movie.
I think if you just backed off of that, we're
having an entirely different conversation. But you know, one thing
I am interested in, and no one is going to
address it because obviously the anti Semitism is I want
to say it's a bigger deal, but it's obviously a
majorly huge deal, and with Kanye and all the other things,
very very hot right now. He also said in the

(01:33:05):
press conference that he believes Alex Jones about the multiple
secret societies in the world. Now I'm not sure if
that's also tied into the anti semitism or not, like
if it's that statement of but I want to know
if you also believe that their secret societies are running
around controlling the Earth and where he sides where else
he sides with Alex Jones on Like, I know, there's
a lot of focus on this movie, but Alex Jones

(01:33:28):
just lost a massive lawsuit by the nying that there
was an elementary school shooting the Sandy Hook. So I'm
fascinated to see what the fallout of that is, if any,
because it's a lot and I lived in Connecticut when
that happened. I lived about twenty minutes from that school
when I was there. But you know what it's like.
So but like I read, yeah, Alex Jones, and yeah
it was the twenty years ago, but it was right,
it was true. It's like, okay, well, you know, and reporters,

(01:33:51):
you know, just kind of zoom passed it to get
to the video. I just understand, you have, you know,
the press conference only ten minutes long. You only got
so much time to address things. But it's something that
we'll seek We'll see how it plays out. But I
did I'll finish with this. If I think most people
that are hearing this, and most people are listening and
that are reading this on the internet, I think ninety

(01:34:14):
of them are all shaking their head and go he's
not doing that. Like because if you're telling me that
this guy doug his doug his heels in when he
like you said, when he left Cleveland, when he left Boston,
he's if he's always dug his heels in, and you
see that's his personality. If people can point all those
things out, then don't. Don't. Don't try to entertain yourself

(01:34:34):
or trying to entertain the thought that he's gonna change
now or change for you. The man is gonna be
who he is. I'm the kind of person I accept
people for who they are. I don't want to try
to change anybody, even with sports talk. I'll tell you
all the time, I'm not trying to convince you to
like Kobe. I'm just telling you why I like Kobe,
you cannot like him, and I'm not trying to convince

(01:34:56):
you too. I don't try to convince people to see
other people for the way I see them are the
way other people see them. Like DMX said, trust a
snake to be a snake, but trust when you see
a snake. Like trust a snake to bite you, but
trust when you see it. I'm sorry, Rest in peace,
my man, Earl Simmons This hasn't happened in the NBA
since nineteen fifty six, and it's happening right now. We'll

This has not happened since nineteen fifties, six fifty seven.
This season, the Philadelphia Warriors the defending champions at this time,
Like I said, one the champions. They lost the first
having games on the road that they played on the

(01:36:02):
way to a five finish out right now, the the
Golden State Warriors after last night oh and six on
the road. I don't know Jordan Pool, but he's got
one of the worst plus minuses in the NBA has
not been looking like the twenty million dollar man. They
made him at the start of this year. I don't

(01:36:24):
maybe the punch had something to do with it. Uh,
But this Warrior's team right now not in a good spot.
A few things. There's something to worry about. What the Warriors.
And I know it's early, but as I said a
few weeks ago, we're talking NBA, it could be earlier
all you want, I could still watch a game and
see the DNA of your team. I can still watch

(01:36:44):
a game and see the body language of your players,
the moves that you're coaching staff is making. They can
only change so much. It's only fifteen guys, twelve dress out.
Most of the average team plays seven players a night,
maybe eight. They they don't defend well at all right now.
They gave up a buck thirty twice in the last week.

(01:37:05):
That's ugly, a hundred and thirty points on defense. And
step is doing his step thing. He's dropping thirty four
thirty two. But I am starting to think that Draymond's punch, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't know if I was wrong yet, but I'm
starting to lean that maybe I gotta come on radio.

(01:37:27):
I'll tell you guys, I told you so when I'm right,
but nobody can ever say that VJ runs from when
he's wrong. I'll tell y'all when I missed on something.
I missed on a lot. We all miss on a lot.
I'll miss on real big things. I kind of nail those,
but I miss on a lot of middle small things.
I thought they would just get the leadership going going
good again there. They have the great leadership with the

(01:37:48):
front office and cur and the players, and I thought
this could be put away, but it feels off. The
chemistry of the team feels off, and it almost feels
like they know that this could be Draymond last year
in the Warriors uniform. And something else that I feel
that's going on there too is Jordan's Pool, who I like.

(01:38:09):
I don't think it's ready for the big role that
they seem to want to give him now. To their defense,
they did rest players to these games that they've lost,
and there was another night where Steve Kerr play the
bitch for like most of the second half because they think, okay,
we can listen. We're on the road. We're on the
road swing. We're on the East Coast road swing. Early,
we'll get back home, guys, this early well, we'll we'll

(01:38:31):
flip this around, or like some of the old teams
used to say, we could just flip the switch. We'll
flip the switch, used to say, I'll play myself. I'll
play myself into shape. Worry about that. This is the
guy that shot fifty goes. I hit him when I
need to, like, like, come on, So I've seen that
before and maybe that's where Steve Kerr and the coach
of staff is coming from. Let's get these young guys
and runs. We'll take some lumps early, but we'll also

(01:38:52):
put together last thing about this street. When I first
heard this the other day, you know, the first team
that came to my mind was the Bulls. Are the
ninety nine Bulls the first year of Floyd as a
head coach, Jordan's first year of all those guys being gone,
I thought, wow, they were horrible that year. They didn't
start out worse than oh when six, I guess they
won one of their early six road games. I thought

(01:39:14):
the Bulls might have had that record. But there might
be a little thing to worry about here, and that's
the chemistry of the team. And if that's the case,
you gotta point the finger at Draymond and he's my guy,
but you gotta keep it a buck. I mean, you
look at Jordan's Pool and the way that he's been playing,
you know, and then you a guy who's running off
a lot of confidence like that, especially after the way
he played in the finals and had the success that

(01:39:35):
he had. I think you cannot discount the calculus of
the idea that Yo, he got rocked in his jaw
and nobody did anything about it, Like you know what
I'm saying. You know what I'm saying, Like I wouldn't
feel like you know, I said that kind of cold though, man,
But but it's true, very true. Like if I'm him,
That's how I feel, And like, yeah, I gotta go

(01:39:57):
and like, you know, at the end of the day,
I'm still a man, So I gotta go into the
press conferences and I gotta be like, hey, you know, uh,
we're all good. Were you think it could be something
going on with Jordan's Pool? Bro? I just know this,
if Don Brown walked in here and punched me in
the face, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't
know how I would feel if Don Brown was running

(01:40:18):
my show, running the board from my show and I
didn't get that just something like somebody gotta do thinges
are we going to just acknowledge the fact that not
like nobody's that was the fact that somebody just punched
me in the face, like somebody got to do something here?
And I Y know, man, I just know how I

(01:40:38):
would feel in that scenario, and it wouldn't be I
wouldn't be all happy and like I wouldn't I wouldn't
feel good at work. Also to remember, I don't know
if you guys saw this video, but did you guys
see the video of the Big Ticket Kevin Gardner and
Paul Piers talking about the year after they won the championship,
how some guys come back to the team and just
their demeanor and the way, and Kevin Garnett say he

(01:40:58):
was like, man like do like the like the bums
come back like you? Somebody like you? And I thought that.
I thought that's where a lot of that stemmed from
the friction between Draymond and Jordan. End up, why you
punching them is maybe Jordan's was a guy that came
back for winning the championship thinking Okay, I'm certified now, bro,
so I may be able to talk a little trash

(01:41:19):
to you. I may be even even out of practice.
Right when guys are sitting around just chilling, jabbing at
each other. Jonah is what we say back in the DNV,
joning on each other back and forth. Not every man
can take that, bro and sometimes it comes to fist
the cuffs. Well, I just man, look like you're talking
about the d n V. I spent enough time in Michigan.
I do enough folks from sagging or the know when

(01:41:39):
somebody walk up to you like that, Draymond Green wanted
to hit him in the face. No matter what he
wanted to hit, he ain't going and he wanted to
end the middle stuff. This, I say, man, this is
not looking good for right now. Do you think they
can recover? I mean, it's a ton of time. I'm
not saying they're missing the playoffs, Okay, I'm saying that.

(01:42:00):
Not the Lakers, all right, but this is the crack.
This is the crack in the foundation, like you're seeing
it right here right now, and it's beginning, you know,
another team to have a crack in the foundation. Alabama
has not looked good even though one more time for me,
and here's my tiny Bama. We've been sitting here watching
Alabama play four weeks in a row, and four weeks

(01:42:23):
in a row. I haven't loved what I've seen. Steve
Disago have the updated and a score more Steve, what's trending? Boy?
Do we have a lot of good college football scores?
Notable ones coming up in a minute, But yeah, Obama
has kicked a field goal to take the lead on
the road and the World Series Game six at Houston
from ber Valdez continues to dominate the Phillies this month.
In fact, in this World Series, Valdez has recorded thirty

(01:42:44):
one outs, sixteen of the thirty one by strikeout second
time through the order. Tonight, he struck out batters one
through five in a row. This evening. The game is
scoreless about ready to start the fifth inning Phillies at Houston,
with Houston, of course leading the series three games to two.
Valdez seven strikeouts in his four scoreless Zach Wheeler with

(01:43:05):
three strikeouts in his four scoreless but Wheelers fastball is
back tonight now to the college football number six. Alabama
has kicked three field goals to take a nine seven
lead at tenth ranked l s U Under five minutes
to go in the third quarter on FS one, a
top twenty five matchup. Had Texas ahead at the half
thirty one ten at Kansas State. It's now thirty one

(01:43:27):
seventeen Longhorns. Late in the third Clemson, ranked fourth, is
getting shut out at Notre Dame five and a half
minutes to go third quarter, Irish fourteen nothing. One of
the touchdowns came on a block punt return for a score,
and they've started the second half. Number five Michigan is
losing at Rutgers Scarlet Knights seventeen fourteen in the lead.

(01:43:48):
It is NC State now in the lead, seventeen fourteen
over Wake four is just before halftime, and a halftime
lead at fourteenth ranked Utah ten against Arizona also in progress.
Louisville has just taken the lead on James Madison thirteen
to ten in the third quarter halftime. Florida State leads
at Miami thirty one three at the break. And how

(01:44:11):
about this halftime score at SMU The home team up
at the break fifty six to thirty five against the
Houston Cougars, and now they've just started the third quarter.
And in the opening minutes of the third, Houston has
scored a touchdown. Let's update fifty six forty two s
MU in the lead, still over eleven minutes left in

(01:44:32):
the third quarter. The last time an FBS team scored
a hundred in a game, by the way, it was
Houston early fourth quarter. B y U leads at Boise
State seventeen fourteen in the NBA and a battle of
three and six teams. Brooklyn gotta win tonight four at
Charlotte and Sacramento one at the buzzer of overtime as
dieron Fox, who had thirty seven points, hit the long

(01:44:55):
game winner at Orlando hit it from the center logo
to win the game one three. Orlando drops to two
and eight. Back to you you really quick. With Houston,
there were two teams that people were high on mar
to start the year, like in the summer and all
the pre stuff starts. It was Arkansas in Houston, and
I looked at everybody and said, you gotta be kidding me.

(01:45:16):
You got Houston, man, I'm telling you, Arkansas. I'm telling me,
look at both of these schools, now, man, I don't
I don't understand. That's why they get. You need to
get rid of all the preseason polls stuff. Anyway, the
live total in that in that SMU game, I just
saw a tweet come across what is it, one hundred
twenty three and a half. That's the live total over
total right now, is I mean, that's insane. No, you

(01:45:39):
don't think they'll pull You don't think they pull mean,
I mean, you don't think they'll pull the dogs off though.
I feel like a number like that, you gotta take
the over because it's so high, like I want to
be on I don't want to be on the under
on that side. The other thing too, Brooklyn, that's I mean,
you know that's a longer one streak there that so far,

(01:46:03):
it's something. And uh so the Washington football team trendy
picked for an upset this week over the Minnesota Vikings.
You actually did it your Taylor Heineken so on. But
it looks like that team is going to be going
up for sale. Just after Daniel Snyder said, well, you know,
first he said he wasn't gonna you know, he said
he wasn't changing the team's name. Team's got a new name,

(01:46:24):
he said, he wasn't all the team. Now teams looking
for bier and I've seen the opinion around that this
is like an opportunity for the NFL to install like
a black owner in this situation. While I think black
ownership would be great, it's just unfeasible and not realistic.

(01:46:46):
The sale price of the Washington Commanders, it is going
to be north of six billion dollars. Alright, just Google,
just google the on a quick Google list the richest
black person in the world. It's a buddy over there
in Africa. He's got something to do with natural gas

(01:47:06):
and exports. He's sitting at fifteen point one million. Right
the list drops off. I'll put it to you like
this VJ. You got. Kanye West is in the top
ten or was in the top ten prior to this
month of the richest black people right with his two
points are three some three some billion dollars. So of
the list of people that could buy this team you have,

(01:47:29):
there's only, like, you know, three black people who have
enough money from on their own to do it. So
the thing that's issue is you're never at this point
in time, unless there's some type of other situation, there's
not going to be true black ownership in the NFL
because it's just we are costing, we are priced out

(01:47:50):
at this point in time. It's it's you know, and
unless there's some like I get it, the whole jay
Z and Jeff Bezos situation. All right, I'm not even
gonna go there, but I got something though, but saying like,
all right, but jay Z, like what you look at
jay Z is a capitalist at this point in time,
Like jay Z, Like, what is jay Z like when
we talk about black ownership and what we want out

(01:48:10):
of that and what what we expect to see how
the people installed in that position? I don't see that
out of the jay Z And at this current strate,
I think that the price tag is just quite honestly
too high unless the NFL is going to have to
do something like some type I mean, I'll put it
like this, bro, if you're if you're a kid, if
you're a kid who with the Detroit Cody High School, right,

(01:48:32):
are you're a kid that went to Country Detroit Country
Day High School, which is where Chris Webber and all
Detroit Country Day High School. You can't look at those
test cores in the same way, right because they've had
different educations, that different upbrings, different surroundings. What do they
do to level the playing field. In college, they have
affirmative action. Right. You're not saying that the kid from

(01:48:52):
Cody can't figure it out. I'm not saying that black
ownership wouldn't like the somebody in charge of a team
a black person part will be a bad idea or
or a situation, saying that he would somehow fail or
she would somehow fail. It's just literally, they're not gonna
get in the door, all right, So I'm gonna put
a different spin on it. It doesn't have to be
one person, all right. There's enough brothers and sisters out
there that make enough money and have enough power connections

(01:49:13):
to put a purchasing group together. Okay, Representation means a lot.
I was in the grocery stores here of our target,
looking forward toy for my daughter, Journey, whose birthday party
is the March she turned. My baby turns one on Tuesday,
and I'm gonna store looking for a toy for her.
And I'm in a I'm in a barbie doll section.
I'm looking at little dolls. Okay, I got a daughter.
You get if your dad, you got a doughter supposed

(01:49:34):
to buy a doll. But my eyes, though, do go
towards the dolls that look more like the women in
my daughter's life as far as representation go, because a
little girl looks at a doll is like her little friend.
She does her hair, she changes her clothes, she wants
her the dinner table, she sleeps with her. This is
her little buddy. So representation is big. I don't want

(01:49:56):
to even go down the rabbit hole of one guy,
don't got enough for this guy, don't got an enough
of this, and not listen get a group together, because
I would much no people that you have to get together,
get even one billion dollars. It is. It is because
what you do is you're not using your own money,
hardcore assets. That's not what you're using to purchase teams.

(01:50:17):
That's not how it's always done. There are so many
different ways to purchase a professional sports team over the
history of professional sports, and I, for one, would love
to fly home for a game and get tickets with
my homeboys from high school that are watching the Commander fans.
I ain't gonna root for him, I ain't putting on
no gear, but I would love to go to the
game and look up at the booth and see maybe

(01:50:38):
five or six different African American men and women who
now own the Washington Commanders. So it can be done.
I'm not gonna say it can be done. Not at
six billion dollars. It can not at six people. Like
in general, I don't think the average person hasn't a
concept of how much a billion is. People know it

(01:51:01):
can Martin, it can happen. Here's here's the caveat The
voters have to vote the owner. The other owners have
to vote you in. You just don't buy the team.
That's not how it works. So if a group had
enough money of African American men and women, had enough
money and had enough investments behind him, or just had
to deal on the table here this is what you

(01:51:22):
told us we need. Here we go and the voters
vote no, then you see where the real problem is.
But representation to me means a lot, and I to
be honest with you, I wouldn't be even hyped if
it was jay Z, like you said at this point,
is it capitalist? Is he even really like? Is he
is he even really with that calls anymore that he

(01:51:43):
came from. I don't know. So I'm not gonna say
yes or no, but I know a group to me
would just look more powerful and stronger. It would happen.
It would be a powerful group because it would be
about eighty thousand people. Because how are you gonna get
up a million dollars? Are you serious? Right now? Being
being since where are you how are you getting I'm

(01:52:03):
not saying a million dollars could be got. I'm not
saying that you do you d one billion? Do you
need six thousand million dollars? Okay, So so you do
understand that's just not to purchase a team. You still
could come together as a group, have other investors build
up and invest money that you still would have to
divvy back and pay back to people. Okay, but you're

(01:52:26):
going to off of T shirts and hats and merchandise
and hot dogs and beer and ticket in jerseys and
and pom poms, and you're gonna make the money back.
It's not always just cut and dry. Oh, this guy
had four million dollars to buy the team. No he
did it. He used other investors and use other backdoor
financial ways to put the money up. You still got
to pay these other people back that you get the billion.

(01:52:49):
Six keep saying, keep saying, the last buyers Astro look
at the last few sales of sports David Temper his
whole big Group nine. David Tepper would and bought that thing.
Stan Cronky, it's all bigger. Stan croc went and bought
that thing. He would and then built this big old
stadium in n l A nine bro. But Stan Cronki

(01:53:11):
used his own cash to buy it. To build the stadium,
stand Cronki used his own cash. Okay, somebody showed me
that there. Listen, if you can show it to me,
then I'll say, okay, cool. But I do know these
like powerful businessmen, powerful multimillionaires, hundred dollar millionaire billionaires. That's
not how do you think they keep their own money?
They keep the O p M. Y'all never saw that
late in the early nineties movie with Danny DeVito. O

(01:53:33):
p M. When you under stands for other people's money?
All right, So from Reuter's dot com, alright, stant rams understand.
Cronking on Sunday praised his team's fighting spirit after the
battle back to win the Super Bowl on home field
and said the five and a half billion dollar stadium
he funded seemed to be working out. Just guarantee you
that was not his all five no Bro, I'm not
gonna I'm not saying saying debating facts. All right, stand Crown,

(01:53:55):
he bought that stadium. And because you're reading it off Google,
don't make it a fact. You just said that. Do
a commercial break yourself. I went to go to Google
to get the number. I knew that it was. I
knew it was financing. I watched the news. All right,
and after this we'll come out and we'll pick the
winner of the Rams, Buccaneers and all these other You're
not allowed to come back to d C and come
to the game with me, That's fine. Have you seen

(01:54:16):
that feeling? Get a new stadium too? Alright? Coming up
next NFL picks Martin and VJ, Fox Sports Radio, coming
to you live from the tire Rack dot Com Studios.
You know I saw this on Twitter, VJ. Bo Benson
has a lead pipes. What is it? A stone cold
lock of the week? No Lock of the century of
the week. Yeah, yeah, I didn't know this was the thing.

(01:54:38):
I saw it and he's been doing it a few times.
So all of a sudden, you know what that's now
in our pick segment? Bo, you want me to do? Yeah? Right,
I usually it's it's mostly just the reverse chinks because
it almost never works if you go back and look. Um,
I don't think I've hit on any of them. But

(01:55:00):
sweet guys, I've got the Bills at the Jets, and
I've got the Jets covering, so we'll see how there
you go? Hey with that, that's the first pick of
the day that let's get the rest of him. Let's alright, guys,
So last week, yes, it looks like Martin one three
to two. So this is another chance for VJ to
uh to win this week here alright, guys, So what's

(01:55:23):
the overall gap? Though? Is my lead down to two? Now?
I think it's down to two that I was up
in three last Well, okay, so my leads down to
two games? Sure, and I trust you. We're gonna start
with the Los Angeles Chargers heading to Atlanta to take
on the Falcons. Worthy Chargers are a three point favorite.
I'm taking the Atlanta Falcons the dirty burg that saw
Kyles dirty Burg. That's how you know he has scored

(01:55:46):
a lot of touchdowns because that thing was ugly. But
this game won't be Cordell Patterson back Falcons cover. Yeah,
I'm with you on that. One. Two man, I love
Cordell Patterson back. I love this Falcon's team. They play tough,
they play hard, and you've got some no name guys
that people really don't know that's running the ball and
been playing well, and defense is actually playing really well.
To the charges, you just don't know what you're gonna get. Man,
Herbert's got busted up ribs, No keenan Island. Give me

(01:56:07):
the Falcons at home. I'll take it with you, alright.
The Packers, who did not do anything in the trade
the line and probably should have traded Aaron Rodgers if
that was the case, had to Detroit to take on
the Lions, where Green Bay is a three and a
half point favorite, because Detroit cannot stop a nosebleed. Look
and you know what plug your knows to stop that nose. Lead,
close your eyes, take the lines. They're gonna cover this
three and a half. Dan Campbell survives another week, and

(01:56:30):
this win that he gets on Sunday extends his season
and he's on the end up coaching the rest of
this year. We really should be fired. Well, this is
where I add a lead to my two game lead
right now. Give me the Packers on this the cover
man the Lions. The Lions are done the lines that
cook Dan Campbell will not be the coach of his
team next season. Alright. Next up, we have the Seattle
Seahawks heading to Arizona to take on the Cardinals, where

(01:56:52):
the Cardinals are a two point favorite. Because I do
not believe that war Zone is out yet. It's not, bo,
it's not. I've been playing a lot of multiplayer on
the Martin wis one. If you'd like to add me,
I get down. But I'm taking the Cardinals here because,
like I said, I've been playing a lot of multiplayer. Bo.
I'm trying to get my guns up there so the
war Zone does drop. I'm ready to stay as frosty

(01:57:12):
as possible. That's what Kyler is doing. To give me
the Hawks. If everybody want to play me as Super
Super tepmoball on Nintendo the Big Vanilla Funny seven Team,
come get at me. Give me the Seahawks right here.
The Cardinals aren't winning this game. They I'm out on
the Cardinals. I've been with them all year long, but
watching them play, they just don't have it this year.
And give me the Seahawks that went right here and
they're gonna cover that too, alright. Next up, Kyle Shoarberg

(01:57:33):
just went yard for the Phillies. The Phillies are winning
one nothing in this World series, so that's fine. Uh.
The Titans head to Tennessee or alow, I'm sorry. The
Titans head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs,
who where the Chiefs are a twelve and a half
point favorite. Because I believe Ryan Tannehill is not playing
on Sundays. That is, it was kind of I was
thinking if if it was Tannehill, was gonna go, I
like the Titans. If Molik Willis is gonna go absolutely

(01:57:56):
not give me the Chiefs. Malik Willis has still had
has to show me something in this league. Last week
I picked him up and put him on my fantasy
team because I loved the kid, and he gave me
five point three five points. Do you know what I'm
gonna do this week? I'm gonna rob with him again.
My Lenk the freak. Come give me some baby, give
me the tires with that plus club and I have baby, alright,
real quick. The Ravens head New Orleans to take on

(01:58:18):
these Saints, where Baltimore is a two point favorite, yuck.
This game is an injury report disaster. I'll take the Ravens,
but I don't love it. I mean resident peace to
the New Orleans Saints. It was a fun run. I'm
with you to give me the Ravens Lamar Jackson, Fox
Sports Radio. That's been a blast. I'll tell you what, VJ.
Every Saturday, we're doing it and we're getting it better.
