Look see if to take you just ran down all
those college scores. It has been a wild Saturday. But
my first takeaway from Saturday after l s U hung
on against an Arkansas team that's got to be the
College football Playoffs worst nightmare if this two lost L
s U team goes ahead and wins the SEC Championship. Now,

(00:45):
what do you do? Well, what do you do? Is you? Uh?
They're trying to get Alabama back up there. They just
survived on the fourth down in completion pass from Old
Miss and the end zone. They're up thirty to twenty
four right now with forty six seconds left. So what
do you do? As you hope Alabama when into some
of these other teams are gonna lose. Michigan is gonna
play that school down south. Georgia's has a shot at
being beaten in the conference championship games. So there's a

(01:08):
lot to be shaking up, man. But there's no way,
in my opinion, that you could possibly have a two
lost team in the college playoffs. I'm I'm gonna be
upset if a team gets in who doesn't win their
conference championship game, because there's only four slots in the pack.
Twelve is back this year, So I'm looking for Michigan

(01:28):
to take care of their business, Georgia take care of
their business. I think sc creeps in and then possibly
TCU of TCU keeps winning out and that's and that's
your college football playoffs. So I don't think any two
loss SEC champion is automatically eliminated. Vj's College Football playoff rankings. Well, no, no, no, Now,
if you win to college But did you hear what
I said? I said, if you win your conference championship,
you're in. If you win a conference championship, if l

(01:50):
s U wins out, they'll win the college championship, So
then they would be but they would be and I'm
talking about if you're a non conference champion with two losses,
you can't get in. That will come on not only
makes sense, right, No, I agree with. I mean, you
say you have all these the four other conference championships
one or no losses, then and then you have a

(02:10):
two loss L s U team. Let's say you have
a USC who wins the Pack twelve with with one
loss and then all of a sudden, Now so you're
putting in the USC over I mean, you're putting an
L s U over USC without without L s U
win in the conference championship. No, it's provided that all
these people have won the conference title. Yeah, if you
win a conference title, because if you win a conference title,
that was that should leap you win. If you look

(02:31):
at the way that the rank and set up right now,
all those teams if they went out which means they
win their conference championship, they'll all move up into the
top four. So it's just simple math and everything is
in everybody's hands. They're like, I don't think anybody needs
any help. L s U clinched the West, so they're
gonna play in the conference championship. But you're they're not
beating Georgia. So they're not getting in anyway, so we
could kill all the l s U going to the

(02:52):
college playoff noise. Anyway, they're not beating Georgia in Atlanta. Look,
so no, they're not beating Georgia in Atlanta. You know what,
just last week, keep told me the lines we're gonna
beat the Green Bay Pack. I know what I mean,
that's what happened. Said, there's a reason why they played
the game. There's the reason why they played the game.
She had told me to sitt in here right now.
Alabama would have been a one fourth down play away

(03:12):
from consecutive losses in this season, and that consecutive loss
would have put them in the third loss of the year.
And it's before things giving. I would have been like,
no chance. If it was an eight, we all be high.
So we're talking about you know, it's just definitive stated fact.
Put something on it. Then I'm asking with something championship game.
You don't think it's no a realm of possibility. Alright, alright,

(03:35):
Georgia beat when Georgia Georgie, I know this. They better
wine and why they gotta not acknowledge the spread. They
gotta win. No, they're just gonna win the game. They're not.
It doesn't matter for one point to win. What do
you think the spread would be Georgia on a neutral
whatever that CC Championships, I like like seven and a half, eight,
eight and a half something like that. What do you
think the final score would be with George's putting up thirty?

(03:58):
So thirty to twenty thirties, seventeen something like that. Georgia's
defense is just listen, we saw what they did to
Tennessee's offense last week. Who are you guys all gutched
over and loved all season long? And I said, they're exciting.
They got some NFL guys, But when they go up
against legitimate, like legitimate NFL style guys that are playing

(04:18):
collectively like Georgia's defense last year and this year, that
defense is going to stop that offense. And that's what
they did. They rubbed them out. They couldn't even put
it twenty on the board. You're telling me l s
US offense is gonna put more than twenty on the
board against Georgia with two weeks to prepare. If you
told me three weeks ago that LSU would have beat Alabama,
I would have told you relied. So that's what I'm saying.

(04:38):
There's the reason why they go play all these games
and they have no massive upsets and all that. Not
put some down the line, I mean, have talent to
look Brian Kelly, you once talk about establishing a winning
formula and winning a scenario. I was out on the
LSU to begin with. You were the one that told
me they had about and the okay, So that's why
I'm at like, I'm just trying to figure out how

(04:59):
much nothing that they got to worry about. They don't
have nothing to worry They're seven and two. That's what
I mean by they have nothing to worry about. When
you go back and look at that the Tennessee game,
let's go revisit that, it looks like they're going into
a five year or under five hundred year. They lose
on the kick against Florida State to open up the
year in the Chick fil A Classic game or the
Peach Classic game, whatever that game was in Georgia, the
Georgia game exactly, I should say, the Atlanta game. We're

(05:22):
talking about the Georgia Bulldogs. The game it's playing in Atlanta.
So they lose that game and then they get they
get molly wapped. I mean, they get scraped up and
down the field by Tennessee and you're looking at man,
Brian Kellie didn't make the right decision. I hate to
do this, but I'm gonna do it again. I sat
right here in the same studio on chair. I said,
guy's relaxed. He's got to get his guys, and he's
got again. He's got again, he's got. I know I

(05:43):
should stop saying that, listen. I love to fine. I'll
change it right now. I love to do this. I
love to say I told you guys, so I said,
just relaxed. I didn't say, oh, l she's gonna come
back and win the conference and we go to the
college player. I just said, relaxed, they'll be fine. And
seven and two to me there, that's fine. And beating
out Alabama, that's they're fine. But they're not beating Georgia
in the conference championship game with two weeks to prepare

(06:04):
against that defense. They don't have to know. They don't
have the offense for it. Man, come on, Arkansas, did
you see the game today? Did you watch the Arkansas
LSU game? There yes, okay, did you see the offense. Okay,
it's Arkansas defense close to Georgia's defense. No, okay, I
mean all these things are true, but I said, I
looked like when you watch the LSU Alabama game. There's

(06:24):
things like the penalties, the turnout, like different things will
come into play on any given Saturday, which is my point,
which is why I say the college football playoff is
also the biggest Georgia fans out because they don't they
would much rather see Georgia win the win this SEC
and take that playoff spot so they can also get
some other teams in there because the two loss L
Shoe Conference champion is gonna have Oh my gosh, I'm sorry,

(06:46):
I just saw this catch from Notre Dame against Northwestern.
Is that that's the tight end Michael Meyer? Yeah, look
at this. Look at he does that look one hand
in this which is I'm sorry, guys, I know this
is I know this offsual. I know this is radio
is auditory meeting. But if you knew the Notre Dame
UH Navy highlights Michael Meyer made, and I mean that's
one of those straight moss type catches that that that

(07:10):
I mean, first of all. It's how good was Randy
Moss that he got a whole adjective named after him
about describing. Can't tell people that all the time. I
tell people that all the time. He's like, imagine, you've
just called a jumper like a durant. You know what
I'm saying. It's like, no, I don't know. We call
this level of contestic I just picked the plug. Okay, alright, alright,
that's a staff all right, But you're not saying, like,

(07:30):
you know, are calling a rebound to Barkley. Okay, I'm saying,
Rod whatever, when you have when you have a contestic catch,
you know what, they don't call it U Marvin Harrison,
they don't call it. They call it a Moss. And
Michael Mayor just had an incredible Moss. But speaking of

(07:52):
college football and in the way that things are going down,
I think that we're looking towards what I would hope
to see, UH playoff that it represents has a represented
it from all different conferences? Yeah, I think that that.
And it's like, you know what, good this is good?
You should it should matter who wins your conferences't matter
who wins your region or your your district or whatever
you wanna call like in high school, your district or

(08:13):
you know, in your region. In college it matter. It
should matter, your conference in the NFL, or your division.
These things should matter. So I'm happy that the idea
that we're trending in that direction. UM, real fast, so
right now, and so in the college playoffs, just real
fast with the rankings. Right now, you have Georgia, the
school down south, Michigan TCU. There you go Tennessee in

(08:39):
the Ducks and l s U and USC, Alabama, CLEMPSUS.
So that's your top ten right there. Clempson is not going,
Alabama's not going. You see how USC and Oregon are
gonna cancel each other out because one of them are
gonna have to play for the conference championship. That loser
is gonna get knocked out TCU. If they went out,
they should be in the winner of Michigan Ohio State,
they should be in. Georgia wins the SEC championship, they

(08:59):
should be in. I just don't see anywhere where l
s U slides in, especially with three losses, because they
would have lost to Georgia. So to me, it would
be Georgia in the winter and the pack twelve and
the Pack twelve champion. That's who I think. That's how
I think the college football playoff, the four teams is
gonna pan out and end out when they renounced it
in the second week and first week in December, it'll

(09:21):
be Georgia one. It will be Michigan to tc U three,
and then whoever wins between s C and Oregon and
wins that conference championship from the Pac twelve is the
fourth seaman. That's all provided that TCU takes care of
business today off they kick off against Texas and about
twenty minutes or so, STA will have us all over

(09:41):
that one. I'm sure that that's one of the That's
pretty much the premier football matchup tonight in college unless
I'm forgetting one. That is that is it? You know?
That's the game Texas and TCU. Uh. Texas favorite in
the game, TCU the top ten team. So the gambling
lines like Texas, the rankings like TCU. Hopefully it turns
out to be a just a great matchup. D VJ,

(10:01):
We've watched a lot of good game the studio over
the last three or four weeks. It's been a blessed
dream job. Man. I mean, we sit here and we
had four or five screens up. I got my computer
on with my laptop with another game on, and this
is this is the dream man. You you talk sports
and talk football, and we got every game up in
front of us. We keep everybody updated to the minute.
The saker does a great job letting everybody know all
of the scores and giving everything. And there was some

(10:23):
great stuff today too. Man, I don't want to ruin
anything and take no shine from Steve, but there were
some some some lower ranked teams that pulled out some big,
huge wins today. And once again, Martin, today was the
day you woke up. Honestly, you looked at the schedule
and even the early slate games, We're like, okay, everything
kind of went chalk. There was nothing hugely surprising that just,
oh my god, shocked everybody. But just the product on

(10:44):
the field of college football is the best thing going.
I love NFL football too, but there's nothing better in sports,
all of sports, maybe other than the World Cup, which
we get on November twentie. Uh, then college football. There's
just nothing better. Saturday weekend, the weekend. What I like
about college football is the diversity of style, of play
in the NFL. Everybody kind of there's like four different

(11:05):
ways to play in the NFL, right, you know what
I'm saying, Like, which is weird because it didn't used
to be like that. But they're like at this point,
every like it's kind of like the NBA analytic sture
and are guiding people into the but like like we
walked in here today, Iowa Sam is watching Iowa play
and they have more points in the yards games on
all know, it's all right, we just talked about that,
like this is silly, like this doesn't make any sense

(11:27):
here VJ real quick, you'll appreciate this. I was at
the Los Alamitos Long Beach Pology saw game last night.
Mackay uh Let's sorry, Malachi Nelson, Mackay Lemon for Los
Alamitos played well. But I'll say this the most impressive
player that I saw on the field last night, and
this is Dalen Austin from One Beast. Probably he's going
to uh LSU next year. Were talking abou l shoes.

(11:49):
He's committed there all types of guys usc commits all
over the field. Most impressive guys I saw Damien Henderson,
the running back for Los Alamitos had like two d
and fifty rushing yards and the first three quarters of
the game. He's committed to Colorado State. I'm not obviously
I'm not a scout. Obviously I'm not a recruiter. But
if I was a scout recruiter, I will be trying

(12:09):
to scout and recruit this guy to come into my
Power five school today. Yeah, when he hits the holes, though,
when I like watching him, he when he sees the holes,
he doesn't have to think about it. And normally for
a seventeen and eighteen year old kid, you just don't
see that. And they're playing along with the s. They're
playing a good defense, they're not playing no scrubs. Even
when they play top competition and lost lost all of Medos.
It's not even a top flight school, you know what

(12:31):
I'm saying. Like they're not having the best year, but
they do have usc recruited quarterback who's in the top
five as far as the rankings go. But I'll tell you,
man that running back, and I'm with you, somebody else
from somewhere else needs to come check this kid out there.
There's no way, in my opinion, he should be going
to Colorado State. He should be able to state at
least in the pack twelve and and and stay on

(12:51):
the West coast. There are schools that can use him.
That's no shade to the ram. Yeah, no shade. But
to say that, but I feel like, yo, U c
l A. You got Jack Charbon the running for a
hundred yards, You're only you're damn they're undefeated. Every time
he does it, you get blown out when he doesn't
or when he does not. I don't know, I don't know.
I might when you see a guy like this who's

(13:12):
being under recruited because he you know, he's I mean,
Malaki Nelson is a clutch client. You know, fans like
so like the the the juice is all about Mackay
and Malachi. But Damien Henderson remember that name, because that
dude is a beast with the football. And Lemon played
well as well, and Lemon played really well, and I
wasn't super impressed with Nelson. But again, when you have

(13:33):
a two guy running for two hundred fifty yards, what
do you expect him to do? And not only that
with Malakoi seen him play a couple of times man
even as Junior called a game he He just has
these games where he's smart enough to know that, hey,
I'm gonna lean on my teammates. I don't have to
be the star. I don't have to put up all
these amazing numbers. We already know who he is, and
he's kind of pulling back a little bit. Man. I
saw this with cave on tip. But though when he

(13:54):
was up at Oaks Christian, he didn't play some second
half some some of the games because you know, you
know you're going to a big time school on your
stuff hurt and you know what the year is man,
Like I said, they're not a top flight school. Sure,
Darius Curley Darius Curry rather junior at a Long Beach
look out for him next year. He I like him
a lot in terms of just his quarterback skills. But
you know what, we'll get into another Southern California quarterback

(14:15):
down in TUSCA looser right now, VJ. You alluded to
it earlier. A fourth and sixteen stop saved that Alabama
from Old Miss and Lane Kiffin right there, we'll get
into that going. I mean, I'll tell you what, Alabama,
it's stressful time. Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Saturday. Fox

debo debo. What am I talking about? South Carolina up there?
I don't know what's going on here, j Chain. You
know what, maybe because for literally my memory right so

(16:05):
literally like my football memory. Okay, Nick Saban has been
the debot of the SEC. Okay, with a little vacation
in the NFL, he came back to Alabama like he
first of all, he remember dominated el Shoe, took a
little uh Miami sabbatical, little South Beast vacation back a
decade okay, then came back to Alabama in which he

(16:27):
didn't said nobody back no decades, okay, because all he
did there was get there and win and win and
win and win some more. And then he lost to
Clemson and Tabo Sweeney and just Shan wants you know
what he said, He's gonna do Okay, cool, win some
more after that, you know what I'm saying. But right now,
right now, you alluded to it earlier, and those watches
need to say break it down this a little bit.
Fourth and sixteen with a chance for the game. I

(16:48):
love fourth and sixteen sounds far, but this is old
miss that they were up against right now Jackson dark
USC transfer. But again, Alabama penalties miss combobulation on off
this team. And Nick Saban said he said it in
he said it today, said it. I'm sorry he said
it this week. The responsibilities on him, and I think
at this point you gotta wonder what's going on. Well,

(17:11):
I respected that when I saw that quote and I
watched the clip that he put it on himself, and
you know that that's very charitable for him to do.
But I'm gonna leave the penalties alone because I think
we've been beating on that. We know that they have
a lot of penalties, and that could be coaching, that
could just be focused, that could be Hey, we're Alabama
and all we have to do is show up, because
it's been like this for the last twelve years. We

(17:31):
just show up and it's the Alabama Invitational. Once SEC
play starts and Georgia creeps in there and LSU grabs one,
but other than that, it's Bama, Obama, Obama. But I
want to go back to something that I pointed out
at the Texas game. And what Alabama's missing this year
is they don't have a receiver that can just change games.
We're coming off of a string of Davante who won

(17:55):
UH Heisman, Jalen Waddle, Amici Williams. You know, we could
go back to Julio Ridley. They they have receivers for
the last ten to twelve years that just change football games,
and they don't have Bryce does not have that? B
Why don't have that this year? And it's showing. He's
carrying them two nine yards today, not the yard as

(18:16):
you want to see. You want to see over three him,
but the three touchdowns thirty and just his throws and
his leadership. Um And once again, you look at the
two games they lost, a wibbly, a wobbly field goal
where the defense gives up fifty two at Rocky Top
and then the guts for um Brian Kelly to go
for two last week. And I want to point that
play out real fast. That's the same play that Clemson

(18:39):
ran to Hunter Renfro for the National championship. I believe
it's a pick. When I go back and watch that play,
I'm like, yeah, they didn't call that. Man, you can't
just smash two receivers down and take Jason taylor Son
out to the flask. That looks just like what Clemson did.
And if you remember when they ran out playing one
the natural championship Clemson did against Bama, that was one
of the things Bama and Alabama fans and he didn't

(19:00):
says like, hey, you gotta I know I was swallowed
the whistle. No, you gotta call that big So I
remember vividly the reacts from that game and Saban said, look,
if you're not gonna call this, then I'll do it too.
I'll do it too. He was like, he was like,
there's lineman down the field. Because this was the proliferation
to be doesn't at the beginning obviously, but the repopularization

(19:21):
of the r PO right when when Deshaun Watson was
either handing it off for pulling it right and it
was it was like he said, okay, cool, you know
what I'll just do. I'll just recruit three hysman when
you know three hysmand quarterbacks. You know it used to
be Alabama, you know, mark ingram Eddie Lacy, you know,
you know it's a can and then and then what

(19:42):
would you do? You get the running backs and the
guys in front of him right the offensive lineman, and
then you'd had like the Blake Sims of the world
starting a quarterback, John Parker Wilson starting the quarterback for Alabama.
M funny enough. Earlier today was watching football A Mario
was with me my girlfriend and uh, who is it?
Joe Tested, Tour and McElroy We're calling them and uh,

(20:04):
football was like, man, look at test a scarf. He
had the Gucci scarf down and She's like, yeah, he's
looking way better than the guy next to him. Test.
I'll tell you this man Tests, Test seems like a
guy when you go out to dinner with him. You
let him choose the wine. You let Test, You let
him choose the wine, and you give him the menu,
like Test, go ahead and pick one and he leans
back with him sucks his because he knows he He

(20:25):
just seems like that guy. I missed him mo Moning
like football. To be honest with I thought he was
doing a great job, but you know, I get the business.
Well I think what ultimately, as this conversation goes all
the way off the rails, the issue with Monther that
football people just used to hearing the voice that they're
there and also to people are going to complain just
for the sake of complaining. I find that to be
the case. Yeah, but still, yeah, let me include I mean,

(20:47):
I'm not gonna not watch the game. What do you mean,
I'm just gonna sit here and complain about how I
can't stand in the fact that Booker McFarland is on
this popemobile. That was. That was a lot going on. Yeah,
oh yeah, that was now on was on the was
on when he was on a little scaffold chair that
moved around. That was. It was interesting. But it was

(21:08):
like skycam right when Scott Cam first came over, so stupid,
what do you have a camera? And now we love
it now now you couldn't imagine watching it without the
camera hovering over the huddle when guys are getting out
into the huddle and called to play. So everything changes, man.
But but with Obama once again there, their receivers just
don't get a lot of separation and Bryce is carrying

(21:28):
them and you poked holes and saved his defense today.
I thought the defense played really well. That's a hard game, man,
old miss on the road. You know, Kiffer's got that
team playing well right now. That was Yeah, that was
exactly that. Yeah, you're right, they're gonna sling it around.
So that was a that was a big win for them.
That was a huge test and a big win for
the man coming out of that. But b Y is
carrying them and I just I can't help you think

(21:51):
about the game that he missed and they had the
kid from Texas and they're a freshman and uh what
was it on the goal line? On the goal line again,
last second, last second win against Jimbo Fishers, Texas, A
and M who you claim are clamored last week's year.
He's gotta go. Yeah, they gotta fire him. But I
mean that that team almost beat this team, this Alabama team.

(22:14):
I'm not saying I'm not saying that it's like that's
the reason why he needs to keep his job because
of that. But I'm just saying, just look at where
we are and in the in the concept, you know
what we're talking about, coaches need to be fired, and
when they were a goal line stands away from beating Alabama.
Here's the thing, know with Jimbo, when you when you
were being paid upwards of a hundred million dollars, You

(22:35):
cannot be five hundred. Are close to five hundred. You
must by November. What's this the twelve today? You must
have one or two losses when you're getting paid that
much money. And there they have one of the richest
pools of money from alumni and and sponsors, and I
mean it's a and M. They're one of the richest
programs in all of college sports. You have to you

(22:57):
have to win. You just and this is not working. Look,
got watch it. It's not working. It's it's you don't
have a quarterback. And if you have a quarterback in
football Hall Cameras Pot Warner and in most part Warner games,
you go to the quarterbacks, the best kid on the field.
They don't have a quarterback, they don't have a shot
winning anything in the SEC, at least for the next
five to six seven years. We'll go from college coaches

(23:18):
to a new NFL head coach coming up next, but
first Steve to Sanger. What's trending in the world's sports
by Guy. Hello, gentlemen. We'll start with college football, of course,
and earlier this season Kansas actually beat a ranked team
and now Boston College has BC which was two and
seven this year, scored a late touchdown to win twenty
one twenty at sixteenth ranked NC State. Meanwhile, number fifteen

(23:41):

(26:09):
a jumper at the buzzer seventy three seventy two. Louisville
lost its opener by a point on Wednesday to Bellarmine.
Back to you game, thanks Steve, And uh, you know,
we just alluded to it. I mean like we just
saw this right now as as Auburn and Texas A
and M are starting to take off two programs out
of the disappointing years thus far with Texas A, and

(26:30):
we just did that a second ago. Auburn, though, fired
their coach Brian Harson on Halloween and promoted interim UH
interim running backs coach Cadillac or Carnell Cadillac, who I
remember playing at Auburn. And then if you know, if
you should if you're over thirty, but if not, he's
just the interim head coach at Auburn right now. And

(26:51):
if you didn't see him, you didn't see how great
he was. You wonder why his nickname him and Ronnie Brown,
because remember they called Ronnie Brown the hummer. Cadillac was
the Cadillac and Ronnie Brown was the hummer. And Cadillac
actually had a decent early NFL career, really good. We'll
remember he tore his knee up his rookie or his
second year, I believe, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So
he's the guy that got into the NFL, but he

(27:13):
just had too many injuries. And you know, guys, you know,
get out of league early and go back to their
alma matern coach. And now he's the interim coach there. Man,
so happy to see it. The thing is, though, you know,
when you think, when you think about Cadillac, you know
he's been there for a little bit. He was there
under gust mal Zon right the year before Brian Herson
got there, right, So he has been a part of

(27:33):
Auburn for a while. Jeff Saturday, the indianamples Carlston next
head coach, on Sunday of last week, was watching football
just like you and me on the couch. Okay, this week,
he's gonna have a front row seat. I should actually
say this. He actually isn't even gonna be able to
sit down because he's gonna be the head coach who

(27:54):
is required to stand from pretty much pre game to
post game. So I wonder if he's gonna be regretting
his lack of couch come Sunday and what has to
be the saddest game of the week, the Colts and
the Raiders. Let me ask you, how do you? How
do you? How do you feel about this? Higher? I
just thought it was a joke, Like I mean, I
thought it was a joke. Like first of all, legitimately
I thought it was a joke because you saw it

(28:16):
on Twitter. You went to check the source to make
sure that check the source. Elon Muston got everybody you
could buy, you could buy a check Mark from eight Dollars,
So I said, no, this must be one of the
eight dollars Twitter accounts that got out. You know what
I'm saying. I like, this gotta be a faith Like
this can't be real. And then I've seen him from
so many different people, and then like fifteen minutes went
by to where it was like, wait a minute, this

(28:37):
is actually happening, and my takeaway it was just like
this is like my My honest takeaway was if I'm
Stephen Ross, I'm suing somebody because this level of tank
is so egregious and so in front of my face

(28:58):
that I just made a mistake. I should I asked
my capable head coach to take instead of firing my
capable head coach and hiring the guy who I just
saw TV say my team stunk, who has never coached
as a head coach and any level of college football
or professional football. When I first saw it, a first

(29:19):
of all, there were there were a lot of legs
to this because of course, as a as an African America,
as a black man with my Latina roots also too,
I'm like, okay, wow, this is crazy, man, where you
know they actually had to put in a Rooney rule
to even have teams interview black coaches, okay, to just say, okay,
well we interviewed because black coaches weren't even getting interview.
They didn't even get the chance. And then we hear

(29:41):
things like, well they may not interview well our world
most owners and you know owners and GM, they wont
an offensive side guy and a lot of uh, black
defensive coordinators people think should be head coaches by now
in the NFL. So there was that side of it,
but we know what that is. If you still have
to try to fish around to just figure out whether
there's still a goal post moving for black candidates to

(30:04):
be a head coach, our minority Latina Canada's to be
a head coach in the NFL, then you just don't
want to see it. So I don't have time to
try to change your mind. You stay on ignorant lane.
I'm gonna come over here to this street and we're
driving down this I did see a video with Joe Thomas,
and Joe Thomas went like off, like went off on this.
This is the worst thing he's ever seen in the NFL.

(30:25):
And I kind of agree. But then Tony Dungee responded
to it because even though you have to be wired
a certain way to be a head coach, and it
is a lifestyle and it is an atmosphere, I don't
think every head coach goes at it the same way.
Like I'm pretty sure there's head coaches that do make
time to see their kids. Because Joe thomas main thing
was his coach Chis Nick, and saw his kids once

(30:47):
a week if it was a role game, in twice
a week it was a whole game. And Tony Dungee
responded and said, hey, listen, I went to two Super
Bowls and I saw my kids all the time. So
don't don't don't put that out there because that's not fair.
And then I kind of felt that because I said, Okay,
don't don't just make it a point here, that's not fair.
Don't pay all coaches that they don't see their kids
and stuff spec staying today's society where now you're gonna

(31:07):
have oh my god, coaches don't see their kids, these
forgotten children of NFL coaches with social media, somebody's stupid
will come out and say something like that. But with
Jeff Saturday getting a head coaching job with no experience whatsoever,
and then the smugness of his press conference of you
may not like it, but I'm I'm gonna I'm i

(31:28):
ain't going nowhere, I'm not this, I'm not that last
thing I'll put on. This is for people saying, come on,
he had to take the job. Hell no, that's bs No,
he did not have to take the job. I'm a
firm believer that when you truly care about the industry
that you were in, you want to take care of
the industry that you were in, and there's a pecking
order and you have to put your time in and

(31:49):
you have to wait your time, just like Martin and
I had to put our time in and we had
to wait our time for some years. It wasn't just
nobody gave us nothing, even the even the thing about
he's got to take this job. Have you seen a
report of bus money he's gonna make exactly exactly, so
that's it's it's not And that's why I think people
say that, because they go, come on, man, you got
it's probably five millions. So you gotta say, no, you
don't know what he's making. But if you're a chef Saturday,

(32:12):
what I would have liked to have seen is Listen, Jim, listen,
I'll come in. It's like an assistant or something, or
are our consultants. I'll come back and do But sir, listen,
I I really appreciate this, but you have a locker
room of men that have already been here, that have
already been doing this, that have already been committed. And
for me to walk in here in these locker room

(32:34):
of men with no experience and as well, I mean,
if it doesn't work, okay, cool, No, are you kidding me?
This is pro sports, bro, we ain't got time for
If it don't work, it's cool, that's the that's the
rebuttal I have against he had to take the job,
that's bs. No, he didn't. If he respects the industry
and respects the NFL, respects coaching, he would have said, listen, man, Jim,

(32:55):
I appreciate this, but let's you you you want to
check out somebody that's there, Jim, and I'll come in.
Isn't assist how about that? The thing for me is, bro, like, okay,
you have there's a football is the most dangerous team
sport that we play, right, that that we play and
we celebrate, right, there's a tacit understanding that this game

(33:16):
is violent. There's a tasking understanding. And when you step
over to the white lines that like not to be dramatic,
but you may not be able to walk back over
on the other side. That's the truth. But I'm just
saying I'm not gonna make it sound like they're like, like,
you know, going to war. But there's a reason why.
Those are the parallels, and those are the corollaries that
people often bring up. Now, Jeff stop, I wouldn't have

(33:37):
as big now the racial issue of all that. I
would have had more of a problem within that regard
had Jeff Side today been hired in June right and
and going through all the off season, all of this
right but this right here, right now, and and I,
let's say, truly wanted him, you know what I say,
truly thought that this is gonna be the best guy

(33:57):
to lead our franchise right in the same way that
you know, guys have decided on other you know, we
see the coaching cycle every year, But this right here,
to me, if I'm a player in that locker room,
if I'm a coach on that staff, I feel slapped
in the face in disrespect. It because even if we
can't win right now, even if we suck, you still

(34:18):
like owe me the ability we're gonna supposed to go
out here and try like that is the whole thing.
That's why sports works. That's why we can sit up
here and talk about and L s U and A
Georgia when we're sitting here saying the L s U
is better on every statistical category. I mean, Georgia is
better on every statistical category. But we have the conference
championship conversation because L s U is still gonna go
and try exactly, still gonna go and try to win

(34:40):
the game, like exactly, and if if it frees us over,
you fight on the ice. That's a backer one. So
I did that with Jeff Saturday, bringing into do you
want to talk about care of the game and all
of this, and that to me, you violated the number
one thing about about any sport, and that's that both
sides are trying to win. And I get that. We

(35:01):
have to get that taking exist. And right now half
the NBA is looking George Victim win Biana. I disagree
with that too. Win games. Okay, look at the Seattle
Seahawks right now, try to win the Francis quarterback winning games,
and everybody said, and everybody said, they're gonna tell you
know they're they're meiling it in. They're not. No, they're not.
You got growning, like you said, With football, I I

(35:21):
gotta depend on you. This is a physical game. And
the reason why football is the best sport is because
it takes all fifty three men, and you know over
eighty in college, but in NFL, fifty three men. Everybody's
got to do their job to make sure that we win,
that we're effective, and that you gotta take care of
your guy next to you. You can't be busing on
this side man and get your guy hurt. So when

(35:42):
you when you're coming in like that, when no experience
as a coach, I don't care that you play, it's
it's it's just different man. And I I would have
loved to have seen him turn it down, and not
doing so made me think completely differently of Jeff Saturday.
I know this. I've played played to flight simulators in
my life. I'm not signed up to be a fighter pilot.

(36:03):
Next we'll get into Uncle Vj's corner. Fox Sports Radio,
Fox Sports Saturday, Martin and VJ coming to you live
from the tire rack dot Com studios. And you know what,
you know what time of it is. It is time
for Uncle Vj's corner. VJ, What you got, man? I
got a lot for y'all this week. Man. Actually, I'm
sitting here and I'm playing my Thanksgiving menu. You guys

(36:25):
know I'm a chef man. Uncle VJ likes to cook
for his nieces and nephews and all all the little
kitties come up to the crib, man, get your turkey,
your cranberry, addressing your stuff. And but I was trying
to think, what do I want to have a dessert?
What is your apple pot here's your pumpkin pie's wee
potato pie? But I think this year I want to
serve some humble pie and I want to give it

(36:45):
to the vanilla brother of the week to serve to
the rest of y'all. Y'all dogged him all last season,
y'all blame this man for everything that was going wrong
with the team and pointed the finger at him and
made him and the head coach to escape go. And
this year, I think he's playing super well, coming off
the bitch and he's sitting at these press conferences, just

(37:06):
smiling and answering your questions and looking around like I
thought it was me. Last year, we are talking about
the vanilla brother of the week from L A. Brodie,
my man, Russell Westbrook, Mr. Triple double more than anybody
in the history, and more times in the season than
anybody in history. That's before you can look that up

(37:26):
right there. I thought everything was Wassell Westbrook's fall, guys.
I thought it was all Russell Westbrook. People were coming
on TV and coming on radio killing us man. But
you know what he did. He exhibited the three seeds
that I continue to tell you guys that you have
to have to be Uncle Vj's vanilla brother of the week.
He's been cool, he's been calmed, and I was corrected

(37:46):
on Twitter shout out to my man. And he's been
collective with the V I was saying collected last week.
I was I was messing up. I was messing but
somebody on Twitter got me straight. And I always like
the lark. He has exhibited the three season and this
year he and sitting and just looking. You can watch
you Worssell Westbrook press conference. Guys. He's just smiling, He's
just giving you the answers you want. And I know

(38:07):
he's just looking everybody in the eyes, going I thought
it was all me. The Lakers are to intend. Russell
Westbrook has one of the highest plus minus is on
the team. You know it has the worst plus minus
on the team. I don't need to tell y'all'all already
know who it is, man, Mr Westbrook, Thank you very much, sir,
for exhibit in the three seas, being cool, being calm,
and being collective. Sir, I respect you, I mess with

(38:30):
you hard. I love the way you play. Screw the
haters and keep doing what you're doing, because at the
end of the day, love always wins. People not hate.
Y'all been hating on this man. Love always wins. Mr Brodie,
l A's own Russell Westbrook, Sir, you are the vanilla
brother of the week. It's like week week. It's like

(38:54):
we said last week. It's like, Okay, Russia is Russ's
best coming off the bench, probably so right, leading to
sixth leading the leading, being the sixth man leading the
second Union. But that's not gonna solve anything. No, Like all, yeah, sure,
you know a supersoker could get your wet, But if

(39:16):
you're trying to put a house out on fire. You're
gonna need a fire. You might need the fire department.
And and the Lakers could probably do well to call
my one more right now, because you know they need
to like at this. I said it at the start
of the year, and I thought it was a hot
take that they're gonna lose ten games before they won five. Man,
I'm not it's not even Cloe Good called Good called well.
I thought I thought that they would win. I said

(39:36):
they'd be lucky to win. I was like, they'd be
lucky to what You're crazy healthy, a d healthy Lebron.
Guess what, guys, they've both been healthy. They've both been
playing there too. In ten to inten Thank you very much.
I love that sound drop right there, and not only
that with Russ, just with Russ's real quick. You don't
treat a homeboy like this like the Laker fans have
turned on him. And I've said this before. This is

(39:58):
what Lebron brings, guys. He he will make you turn
on your own magic. Johnson walked out the door in
the middle of the day and told nobody. He didn't
even tell Jamie he was leaving, and did the smirk
with the smile. I ain't gonna be here and now
you come on man. Russ talks about going to the
parades for Kobe and Shock growing up in the city,
and this is how y'all do him eat that humble

(40:20):
pop people. Coming up next on Fox Sports Radio and
Fox Sports Saturday, we'll get back into all the college
football games after Steve updates them in just a moment.
Odell Beckham is on the move. He's healthy apparently, and
and tweeting to everybody where's he gonna go? I know
where I'm gonna go right here in a couple of minutes,
right back. That's right, Martin and VJ. Here with it

(40:41):
until ten o'clock Eastern, and we're broadcasting live from the
tiraq dot Com studios. Tiraq dot com we'll help you
get there and unmatched election, fast, free shipping, free road
hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers. Direct dot
Com is the way tire buying should be. And football
fans really listen to this. I know you are a
football fan, so be sure to tune into Fox Sports Radios.

(41:02):
Count Down the Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM Sunday morning,
three hours before kickoff. That's right. Tune in Sunday morning,
ten a m. Eastern. We'll take you live all the
way to kick Off on Fox Sports Radio on the
I Heart app presented by bet MGM, and that show
was recently stamped by own VJ. Husky. He said he
tuned in his countdown the kickoff every week every Well,
you know, it's a must have. Right now, we got

(41:24):
Georgia and I'm one team in the nation going against
the Mississippi State. They're they're up ten, as Stevens Sacer
just told you, with seven minutes left in the second quarter,
miss CP State with the ball. We're talking about Miss
c State. Earlier, I thought they would the Mike Leach
air raid vocation of an offense. I thought that Miss
c B State would score more than they do now
in the SEC they have been competitive, excuse me competitive

(41:48):
for in Mississippi State. That's behind the scenes. We just
had the pizza in here. But uh, you know what
I said it before, I'll say it again. It's a
work in progress. I don't mark my progress on a
day to day basis. It's more cumulative over time. Today
we are taking steps in the wrong direction. However, tomorrow,

(42:10):
we will take steps in the right direction. And I
thought that miss cv State may take more steps in
the right direction with the advent of hiring of Mike Leach.
They're all right, they're all they've been all right. But again,
when a team like Georgia looks at a Mississippi State,
they're a rope bump, not a pothole or even a creator.
And well not only that, also too, you have to
remember he was he was coaching these high powered offenses

(42:32):
in other conferences. He hadn't done it at SEC. And
you come to the SEC, you're playing, you're playing high caliber,
higher caliber defensive athletes and defensive minded coach from week
to week. And then you have to play l s U, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tenness.
I mean, just those those five schools right there, and
then you have still you got teams still coming over
to the SEC that want to jump in. So I

(42:55):
do feel though six and three, if they lose tonight,
which they will against Georgia, six and four, they went
out there last two and win their bowl game, they're
nine and four. In my opinion, that is a great
season from Mississippi State. If they finished nine and four
because you were looking, okay, four loss of what they
must have lost Obama Georgia, Obama Georgie. Okay, it was
three right there. Okay, you're not gonna beat those schools.

(43:17):
You're not gonna get the kids to beat those schools.
So I agree with you. Maybe the offense could look
different or should look different, but not when you're playing
in the SEC and you've been doing it in other
conferences to the point that you know, we had Lane
Kiffin's offense. Usually Lane Kiffins what the end of the year.
The results may not always be there in terms of
the old miss but you know they weekend week out

(43:39):
there gonna put a lot of points over the board.
That's what I would have would have expected out of
the Mississippi State team that's driving out first and goal
on Georgia. But well, speaking even of um of like
even l s U right when you look at their
offensive prowess and you look at Brian Kelly, it took
him a minute to kind of get some points on
the board because assistently, because you're leaving an independent in

(44:02):
order Dame, you know, and you're coming to the SEC
and once again today what thirteen points thirteen points on
the board. It's hard to score points in this conference, man.
So but but once again, I I think he's doing
a really good job with what he has in the
type of record and what he's putting out at Mississippi State.
Kudos to the Mad Hatter, the Mad Scientists, Mike Leach

(44:25):
from that six and three team to another one Texas.
Oh that was a terrible past attempt by Max And
just sit down, brother, take the second Max Douggan Heisman candidate.
Right now. Potentially that Kansasy could be ended tonight in
just a few hours if Texas ends up winning this game. Uh,
it's a high zero to zero right now with VJ.

(44:46):
Who's gonna win this battle in Texas? Right here? I
picked CCU to win it because I just think they
have the offensive as well. Yeah, I think they have
the offensive prowess to to win. And it's still early
so and depend on these turnovers momentum, a lot a
lot can happen. There's so much football left in this game.
But back to the college playoff. Let me tell you
what they don't want to see. And you alluded to

(45:08):
this earlier about what they don't want to see Washington's
up right now at number six Oregon and out in
tended three in the second quarter with just under eleven
minutes to go in that game. Imagine if TCU and
Oregon both lose tonight, that is not what the College
Football Playoff Committee wants, because now USC jumps both of them.

(45:32):
They put a fifty plus last night at home against
Colorado and then you're l s U two lost. Team
leaps up really really high. So if you want to
talk about things that the committee don't want to see tonight,
and they need to see Oregon and Texas hold on
in Texas and excuse me, TCU and Oregon hold on
and win these games the night. Yeah, well, tc you're

(45:55):
moving in the wrong direction. But again, this is a
high powered offense for most of the season, so let's
just give it a again. There's been three minutes played
in this game entirely. It just kicked off a few
minutes ago, obviously, so let's give it a little bit
of time to see if what TCU and also to
a Texas offense will be able to do. Absolutely with
Quinn yours back there, you know he was, I mean,

(46:16):
that's the it drives me nuts about the the recruitment
aspect of all these things. Now it's like I knew
who this guy was three or four years ago when
he was you know, going to Ohio State, didn't get
the job. Now he's down here, he gotten hurt. I
don't know anything about him, Like you know what I'm saying.
I've seen him play a few times. I don't know
is he is he? You know what? What is he?

(46:37):
I know be John Robinson is a motified stud I'll
tell you this though. It's it's a game changer the
transfer portal and now n I l it's a it's
a game changer at the quarterback position. If you think
about look at the quarterbacks that are all leading undefeated,
are one lost teams, guys, Okay, across the nation, all right,

(46:58):
if you look at LS, you that's a transfer quarterback.
If you look at Texas, that's a transfer quarterback. USC
that's a transfer quarterback. They this this is this is
the wild wild West as far as quarterbacks and the
transfer portal go. Now, you have no idea where none
of these getting bow nicks, do you? Guys? Remember when
he was at Urban, he's like twenty six. He was

(47:18):
at Urban like five years ago, and he's in Oregon
now and he's got one loss. Oregon team rate number
six in the nation and their only losses to guess who.
Georgia the first game of the year where you don't
know what you're gonna get. There's no preseason, you don't
get the scrimmage, you don't get to see, you know,
other teams up closer personal until kickoff Saturday comes. That

(47:39):
very first weekend, they call it week zero because there's
only a handful of games before the following week is
the true week one. But they got schlocked in Atlanta
in that game, and they looked like a totally different
football team. But the quarterback position, like you said, with
Colin errors, we we don't know a lot about. We
don't know a lot of right of the top ten
teams going into this week, right, you had Georgia, sets

(48:01):
have been been there, Ohio State CJ has been there,
Michigan JJ has been there. Okay, TCU been there. But
then now we're going to run Tennessee Hendon Hooker Okay,
Oregon bow Knicks l s U, Jayden Daniels, uh, Southern
California uh Kayleb Williams right, Okay, and then and then
U C. L A and then Alabama filled out the
top ten this week. Go quarterback, Daniel. I'm so but

(48:26):
but it's like to your point, like, yeah, dog, okay, cool.
You can be sitting there at DJ with DJU at
twelve if you're Clemson or you know, guys are seeing
not seeing the field just look, okay, and C J.
Strouds at Ohio State now, but we'll talk about the
NFL going forward and just a little bit. But I
texted a scout that I got right, it's a source

(48:47):
of mine watching the College Football Championship game a few
years back, and I said, tell me why Trevor Lawrence
is better than Justin Fields watching this game. Yeah, I
tell me why he's better than dust Fields from this game,
like you know what this game? And Olds was a
transfer kid because he couldn't beat out Jake from Yeah,
and then J T. Daniels, I mean j T Daniels
here at c he's now, uh went to Georgia and

(49:09):
then he has since left Georgia and is up is
it West Virginia, j West Virginia or Pitt West Virginia.
So here's here we go. We're gonna talk about the court,
the spinning circle of USC former quarterbacks. Okay, j T.
Daniel went to Georgia and then he went to West Virginia.
Cheat on slovinklos from USC to then Pit Pit and

(49:30):
then Jordan Addison right went from Pit to USC. I
need like this. This is more complicated than UH than
UH single in a relationship where it's complicated on Facebook
when you have to pick in a relationship or not.
And Addison won the Belit and a caugh Award. Very rare.
Do you get somebody that wins an award as the

(49:50):
best player at their position and they leave and go
to another school. Very rare? But the doors open for that.
Now that none of that matters anymore. That's why Jim
Hardball didn't start JJ to begin with, because he didn't
want He didn't want to UM. He didn't want to
either lose mcnamarir lose JJ. And I always thought there
was a little you know, whisperer handshake or wink wink. Look,

(50:13):
let's let's start the captain. Let's start the guy that
want us the big ten last year got us to
the cosplayer. You're our guy, but we can't lose this
guy and now Matt Number has surgery yesterday, so he's
done for the year. So J T. Daniels, I mean
not JT. Excuse me. J J. McCarthy has gotta be
the guy now. But just the flux, the influx of
quarterbacks that are able to move around. Man, I I
personally like it. I know, you know, old guy, barbershop guy,

(50:35):
get off my law and I get it. Some guys, no,
stay where you are. Listen. That's that's this is free agency.
It's not transform portal. I call it college free agency.
The only the only pushback that I would have is
I would like to see some level of commitment. But
also like, until there's a level of commitment on the
coaching side of I can't sit here in good conscience

(50:58):
to say, like, no, bow Nicks, you gotta stay at Auburn,
you gotta play your grad transfer the graduates was a
little bit of different. You know, No, Jordan Addison, you
gotta stay at Pitt. You committed to Pit, you signed
that Pit. You gotta stay at Pitt. When Patton R. Dudes,
you could get fired or leave to the NFL, or
leave to whoever the hell he would like to go whenever,

(51:19):
But coming up next, we'll get into I mean the
sweet steakes, the tweets, the tweets ring out at this point. VJ.
It's screaming pick me. Okay, he is screaming pick me.
Which of these teams is going to pick Odell Beckham,
the free agent y receiver fresh off that a c
L injury. We'll get into that next. Fox Sports Radio

(51:39):
Martin VJ. Fox Sports Radio or Fox Sports Football Saturday. Alright,
coming to l Ive from the tire rack dot Com studios,
and welcome to the Fox Sports Radio Tailgate presented by
the Big Green Egg. Nothing beats the flavor of live
fire cooking on a Big Green Eggs. The most versatile
girl that you'll ever own, back by a lifetime warrant.

(52:00):
We're all with the best shop online for free delivery
at the Big green egg dot Com. Lifetime warranty free
home delivery, Big green egg dot Com. And uh that
was a that was a game changer, the Big Green
of the free home delivery. No hard knock life. Okay,
there's a lot. I don't suck. Look, I don't suck
up that much to the sponsorships and the sponsors come on,

(52:27):
because we never really get to talk about the music.
I love talking about all aspects of the show and uh,
you know whenever engineers bringing something hot in man. I
just I remember when Hard Knock Life dropped. It was
a game changer as far as hip hop and rap.
One like that that he took Annie. He took Annie
and turned it into a classic. Anyway, I will say

(52:48):
one of the more iconic samples, and you know hip hop,
he's a sample written uh sample late and I should
say not written sample lateen genre. Right, But it's been
a pretty hard knock life as far as let me,
I don't say, have you would you say it's been
a hard knock life for Beckham or no? No, because

(53:09):
he's had incredible success on the football field, but he
can't stay on it. I mean that's not my fault.
He can't stay What would you say that he's got
bad luck? Or would you say because when he's out there,
there's no doubt about it. He's one of the most
dynamic position players, I mean skilled players in the league
prior to this most recent a cl right, But like

(53:31):
you know, when he was in Cleveland, even though you
know it was it was tough looking as soon as
he got somewhere where they were able to utilize him
and you know, quite frankly, with the better quarterback, you
saw it right back, what happened. Yeah, I was never
totally sold sold on on Odell Beckham. I knew he
was a good receiver. I never thought he was a
great receiver because there's a lot of times anytime a

(53:53):
receiver checks out, and he had his checkout moments, I lose,
I lose a little bit for you. And there were
just periods of his career where he would have the
drop seas and he didn't want to get hit and
going across the middle just kind of what this thing?
And you lose a few points with me. You lose
some cool points with me with that. So I never
I never was sold on him being this this great

(54:13):
um generational talent, generational receivers like well, okay, but I
mean all right, and I'm not even I don't even
have a rebuttal for that track for it and blows
me all right, cool, well blows me out. And he
didn't get it. But even now I would be weary
bringing him into my team. I got a few teams

(54:35):
here that I just think people are mentioning, and I
think they're they're the silliest team for him to go to.
And I got two teams I think that would be
a nice too great fit. And I got one team
I think would be a perfect fit for him. The
teams that people talking about Casey, Dallas, and Casey and Dallas.
Casey is too crowded. Where do you fit in Casey

(54:56):
with Valdance Katlane, Kelsey, Juju Smith, Shoester, Michael Harmon, Like
where did the Potakos catching the balling background? Where do
you fit your fourth or fifth? When you get there?
You gotta learn to playbook, gotta get into the NFL
playing shape. I don't like that. Dallas is the big one.
That's just too many distractions. Man, we've already seen this
movie before. When he goes to a big shiny toy,

(55:19):
a big shiny market in New York. We saw hot
that in there. You're gonna go play for Jerry Jones
and Dallas and put the star in your helmet. You
want that target on your back. Two teams I think
would be a nice to great fit for him, Philly
and Seattle. Seattle would be a great fit for him
because it's it's a it's a smaller market. It's a
smaller it's not a lot of shine there. All you
gotta do is just go play off of DK Metcalf

(55:41):
and Tyler Lockett and Gino Smith is playing like the
Gino Smith that was a West Virginia could be quarterback.
Everybody talking about comeback player here, comeback playing there. Why
isn't he talking about being an m v P like
he should be an m VP conversation and with Philly,
I think he fits there because Devonte Smith, I think,
is still figuring out the NFL. And you can just
put the tape on and just see that you got
a J. Brown and you got got her at the

(56:01):
tight end position. They run the ball well, so play
action is gonna be there for you. I think it
works there. But the team, I think it's perfect for him,
and I'm not being a homer. The team that's perfect
for him would be the Miami Dolphins would be a
perfect fit for him. They needed three. Cedric Wilson deal
did not work. They couldn't move him, just like Chase
Edmonds didn't work. They got rid of him fast. The
Cedric Wilson sign is not gonna work. He's not gonna

(56:23):
be in Miami long but he already has a house
down there. He loves Miami, Miami loves him. State taxes,
no state tax And you slide right in and you're
the three behind Turek and Water who are both gonna
end u with over a thousand yards. And you got
a young coach that that can feel you. It's a
young vibe there. That would be a perfect spot for
O'Dell Beckham to finish this year out in a team

(56:47):
that could use a number three slot. Well, if you
listen to what said and in some of his interviews
leading up, especially the one that he did on Complex Sports,
you see that he said like he is kind of
like he said, he's done with the in and out
of suitcase quote unquote rock star lifestyle, right, I meaning
signing different places and just staying there. Essentially, did I

(57:08):
didn't see that? Those are his words he did so
Essentially he said he was tired of essentially in the
context of the interview, it was essentially saying he's looking
for a longer term deal, right, He's looking for somewhere
where he could quote unquote buy a house, right, And
and that's why I think that, uh well, I mean, yeah,
he's the house in l a too. But he's buy

(57:29):
a house quote unquote in the idea that you know,
he's got a kid. Now he's he's developing. I shouldn't
develop he's building his family. He's like he's saying he's
developing his family, like he's developing his five yard out right,
but development his body. I like Dallas, though, I like Dallas.
I think that Odell, Okay, so Odell is a big figure, right,

(57:53):
He's a humongous He's a type of person that uh,
you know, we talked here about Steph Curry. All's on
the way he plays basketball has gravity. I think O'Dell
has a gravity to him. When he enters a room.
People up put it like this, people don't know what
to do with O'Dell, and that I think that causes
some people to be uh, to have some level of

(58:14):
of of of he's arrogant, he's this, he's that, and
when in reality, I don't think all of that's the case.
I say all this to say there ain't no way
in hell that he will be the biggest star in Dallas.
That it will never be the Jerry Jones is gonna
be the star. He's gonna run the show no matter what,
it doesn't matter. And I think that's gonna rub off
on Odell and make O'Dell think he's got to still

(58:35):
be him to shine. I just I don't, Dallas, I
just don't. I just don't. I don't see the evidence
of the me me me guy that Odell Beckham seems
to that people seem to be assigning to him, like
when he was in Cleveland, like, yeah, I know his
dad released the video and sure, maybe did you miss
him in New York or something that you're not watching

(58:57):
something bro okay, you know what I've quite honestly, this
is the takeoff sat on for quite some time. Ben
McAdoo was right to bench Eli Manning. It just was
wrong the way he did it. And I and I
think that when you had a level like you had
a a a legend at the quarterback position in Eli
Manning in New York for so long and it established

(59:18):
and we all, I should say we all knew, because
apparently a lot of people in New York did not.
I thought he was cooked. It's very similar. Put it
to like this. Let's say that Chase Claypool or Deontae Johnson,
for example, was a top five receiver in the NFL,
and Ben Roethlisberger over his last two or three years
is the guy they're trying to work with. Like, I
can understand the level of frustration, especially from a guy

(59:40):
who was injured in college and he's now finally trying
to get in his groove. And it's like, bro, my
most miraculous catch came because the ball was so far
away nobody, nobody else would be able to make you
know what I'm saying. It wasn't like but it wasn't
like he mossed somebody for that catch. The ball was
so far out that nobody thought he would have the
orbit to keep be able to catch it. So I

(01:00:02):
put a lot of I put a lot of it
on that. But for him to go through Cleveland and
to have I mean almost zero noise playing with Baker
Mayfield and Kevin Stefanski with that situation, I I just
to me, it's it in values a lot of the
things that people may or may not have assigned to
him in New York. I disagree. I think he I

(01:00:23):
think he did a good enough job with his social
media and some of his antics on teams. On the sideline,
you know when you throw a tantram on the sideline,
that's me, me, me, me, me, Like that's me a tantrum.
Rather did he throw do? Okay? Well, well here's another thing.

(01:00:45):
He wasn't. First of all, he wan't there long enough
to throw it. So that's number one. Number two having
your dad, I'm not giving him. Well, he didn't say
his dad said it. Well, his dad got it from somewhere.
His dad didn't just say that. A lot of dad's
are very conscious about what they say when it wasn't
that wrong. Was it that wrong? Probably not, but just

(01:01:07):
but just because his dad wasn't wrong doesn't mean he
doesn't everybody. Grandmama been told you from day one you
don't always have to say everything. Some things are just
better left unset and you let the action and you
let time play out, and then people will catch on
and see it. So I'm not going with this. I
don't know where to meet me me because we're not
he I don't a lot of me. He's a lot

(01:01:28):
like seven years ago. He's like proposed to a kicking net,
you know. So I guess I guess. I guess that
led up to no, he's not not see, I won't
do that say football player that people saying it's like

(01:01:49):
the idea of like you know, you know, he's not
even doing I just I just have trouble with all.
It's too much in Dallas, Martin. It's too much in Dallas.
I'm telling you. It's dark league. Uh you know. And
McCarthy is not a big character, but he's the coach
of Dallas, so so it is big. And then Jerry,
I just think that would be the downfall of them

(01:02:11):
this year if they bring that, if they bring him,
and I'm not saying it's like to not our bass,
I just don't think he fits that because there's too
much going on the team. Listen, I'm being a dolphin
a little homer with that. The team I think he's perfect,
perfect for would be the Seattle Okay. So that's that
really quickly. The reason why I think it would work
in Dallas first is because the way O'Dell was in Cleveland,

(01:02:35):
it was he he works better off script, he works
better when he's able to kind of do backyard football,
so to speak. And and in Cleveland you had to
run the five roll of seven like that was the
way that like that because Banker is not good enough
to get you the ball when you're freelancing like that.
That mean, ultimately that was the issue. Right So with Dallas,

(01:02:55):
I like it because that's a run first team really
and and Ceedee Lamb is supposed to be in number one,
but I find I feel that Doc would be able
to to vibe with him. You see Da get out
of the pocket and roll out and move around. Whereas
in Seattle, we just heard it. We'll get into it
a little bit coming up after Steve does trending. Actually,
let's let's Steve to training. Now we'll get into what
I don't like about Odella Seattle. Right now, Steve, what's

(01:03:16):
going on? Bro? Hello? We'll start with college football, of
course on Fox TV. Late first half at number six
ranked Oregon, the Ducks are tied ten ten with twenty
five ranked Washington final seconds before halftime. Number one Georgia
seventeen six leaders at Mississippi State on FS one, Nineteenth
rank Kansas State is shutting out Baylor at Baylor seventeen

(01:03:37):
nothing for kse Day late in the first half. TCU
at Texas scoreless early second quarter. Number fifteen North Carolina
is undefeated in the a C C and winning at
Wake Forest seven early second quarter and in the first quarter.
Number twenty three Florida State as a seven nothing lead
at Syracuse. Earlier wins in the top ten for Ohio
State and Michigan Tennessee as well. Number seven l a

(01:04:00):
You was a thirteen to ten winner at Arkansas, and
ninth ranked Alabama got a victory at number eleven Old
miss The final was thirty to twenty four Bama trail seventeen.
Late in the third quarter, Bryce Young three touchdown passes.
Alabama was three for three on field goals. Update. Mississippi
State has just scored a touchdown before halftime. Extra point

(01:04:21):
will maker Georgia seventeen thirteen. Perhaps that will be the
halftime score. Kansas State's lead over Texas text lead I
should say over Kansas No. One in the final minute
before the halftime break. And West Virginia scored ten points
in the fourth quarter to beat Oklahoma twenty. Each team
is two and five in conference Iowa State one and

(01:04:43):
six in the Big Twelve. Oklahoma State needed ten points
in the fourth quarter to beat the Cyclones fourteen. South
Florida winless in the Americans still after losing it home
to SMUT three Temple, which is one conference win after
losing at Houston forty three thirty six Cincinnati one it's
American Conference game last night on a fourth quarter field

(01:05:04):
goal against East Carolina. Earlier today we had Central Florida
winning at two lane Boston College with the upset victory
at NC State on a late t d Notre Dame
in perdue with victories, and Vanderbilt, which had lost twenty
six straight conference games, got a win one at number
twenty four ranked Kentucky. As for the big quarterback news,

(01:05:26):
two items for tomorrow. In the NFL, Buffalo QB Josh
Ellen what the bad elbow, according to NFL Network, will
start tomorrow against the Vikings. Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is
due to start tomorrow against the Broncos. He's missed two
games with an ankle injury. In the NBA, the Boston
Celtics have won five in a row, but they're tied
at Detroit. Third quarter sixty six sixty six. Jayson Tatum

(01:05:48):
with twenty points. Jalen Brown of the Celtics out tonight
with a bruise knee. Washington and Brooklyn have each one
and the Sixers just five and seven this season, are
leading Atlanta fifty in the second quarter. Lebron James and
the Lakers doubtful for the game against the Nets tomorrow
with an abductor strained. Lakers have lost five straight the Nets.
Kyrie Irving will not play tomorrow. He's still suspended by

(01:06:10):
the team. In college basketball, there were no Top twenty
five games today and the MLB Awards the Big Four
start on Monday, when we find out the Rookies of
the Year. The favorite in the American League is Mariners
center fielder Julio Rodriguez. Tuesday will find out Managers of
the Year, Wednesday the Cy Young Award winners, and Thursday
they'll give out the MVP awards in each league. Back

(01:06:32):
to you, great timing on that, I guess the middle
of November for baseball awards. We can't wrap this upright
after the World Series is over. I mean, come on,
that's a baseball lives by their own rules. Guys, come on,
and most of them are unwritten. They could have announced
it a month ago because these are regular season awards
right as we hear. In the NBA, the nb m

(01:06:55):
v P is a regular season awards, So let's now
sit at the end of the regular season. But when
the NFL does that now too, they have the NFL
Honors and stuff, so that's when they do the awards.
Just like way after the Super Bowl, way after the
season's over, didn't they give out the award. So that's
why I swear nothing screams baseball like Thanksgiving dinner. Alright,
Martin n coming to you live from the tirac dot

(01:07:15):
com studios. Before we got to see we were talking
about Odell Beckham and where he should go. VJ. You
propose Seattle as a potential destination. The reason why I
don't love Seattle and the reason why I'm a little
concerned about Seattle this weekend as they travel and what
is the longest flight ever to play a professional football
game from Seattle all the way to Munich, Germany. Okay,

(01:07:39):
skipped right over London, so we're going. We're going to Germany. Alright,
buckle up now. In his in his in his radio
show Pete Carroll, he says, uh, you know, he asked
about Geno Smith, and you know, he says, why is
Geno being so why's what's what's the difference? What's Gino
doing so well? Right? Now unprovoked, just shoots out says, well,

(01:08:00):
you know, Gino, where's the wrist band? And you know
he's really he's really reading the wrist band. And and
if it wasn't for this wrist band, you know, and
we didn't have the wrist band reading happening in the past,
so you know, the wrist band and so see my thing.
And I know, I know Russ had his robottal his
retort where he set it up like he had hadn't
heard it before, which I can appreciate it. I can

(01:08:21):
appreciate that he did said he got a lot of
wedding done without a wristband, Pete, which is true. But
that's so corny. But the thing I don't like, he's
so corny. Look, hey, you know they shot they shot
at him. What's he's supposed to do? Like you know
what I mean, I get that, But because he's been
shooting it them, they finally shot back. But bro, that's
like it's like Michelle Obama said, when they go we

(01:08:43):
go high, big Carol, go high, go high. You see
what's going on in Denver, and you see what's going
on with you. What more validation do you need? My guy?
The records to speak for itself. Okay, Geno Smith as
a top ten m B peek killing based off the
gambling odds speaks for itself. Your draft class with Keneth

(01:09:07):
Walker and Tarik Wooling and the two tackles who are
playing outstanding speaks for itself. Just let that be that, Peete,
Just let that be that. Na My, my, My grandmother,
the Great Ambry Spearman always told me it's okay to
turn the other cheek. But just remember, son, you only
got two cheeks, so you can only I can only
be cool for a minute, man, I can only I'm

(01:09:29):
like that in real life. I could take a lot
me VJ. Vernon Husky, the big Man. I could take
a lot, But I do get to my points to
where it's like, all right, man, you're now. Now, what
you're doing is you're taking my niceness for weakness, and
I don't like that. So now I'm a fire. So
now I'm a fire back at you. Is it a
good thing? Probably not? I get it, but we don't
always do good things. But I'm quick to say, yo, hey,

(01:09:50):
don't make me get arrogant on you. You're calling me.
I'm not ericant. I'm confident. But if you want me
to get arrogant, you want me to get all right,
keep talking, and I'm gonna show you what you really
you want, because this is what you're asking for. Russell
has been asking for this. You've been wanting them to
shoot back at you so you can keep your name
going and keep the the eyes off on how horrific
you have been playing. How in apt this offense is.

(01:10:14):
Let Russ cook, Let cook what some romen? This is
all the ed to do it because everybody else is
you know what, you know what? You know what. I
didn't work shot. It's not fine. Mark, You've given a
shot in your life before trying to like, here's the
deal though, Okay, when I got there, when I got
with my girlfriend right now, you know what, I was
no longer concerned with any of the actions of my

(01:10:36):
ex girlfriends because I'm not worried about it. I'm in.
My situation is tight, my situation is set up. You
know what. I'm I'm not well, I'm not worried about
what's going on over there. I'm not looking at the
Instagram stories thinking damn, I wish I was still over there. No,
And that's the vibe that I'm getting from Pete Carroll
or even like looking at the Instagram stories because she's

(01:10:56):
down bad, and he'd be like, ha ha told you
you shout never left me. You know what he's like
and not yet you haven't done it yet. I haven't
done it. Yeah, I don't live life looking at the movie.
You ain't got it I don't like Pete Carroll doing
it either. Listen, you ain't gotta look in the review mirror.
But if you pull up beside me, I can look
to the side now. I ain't gonna look in the
rear if you pull off beside me and you still

(01:11:20):
talking trash because I cut you off at the light.
All right, I'll let you in me. I let you
in front of me. Bro, don't keep like trying to
draw close to me. Don't turn your high beams over
and trying to driving if they was try to fire
Russa's coach. After four russ has been russ has been
asking the coach of the year. He's nope, nope, po

(01:11:42):
Pete who was the honorary Vanilla brother two weeks ago? Hey,
pe pc, do you ban let him know? If you're
the water wrist band were the one more you get
your job, you gotta be the hero. I know this,
I know this. You're right here right now, you're sixtion two.
Everybody's gonna give him a pass if they lose over
there the time, Brad, No, no, no. Geno Smith's got
a wristband on. That's right, so he so I better

(01:12:04):
see the same exact situation. So I'm calling Geno from
now on. We're dubbing it right here on Martin and VJ.
Geno's nickname is wrist Band. That's my man wrist band
right there. Well, riss band would up be my man
rist band. And Pete Carroll since Geno Smith got his
wristband on, and he's so much better than everything that
you've ever had ever before. Pete Carroll, alright, he didn't

(01:12:26):
say that. He don't do that. But don't do that.
That's no Bob. The man just said, yeah, he's talking
about he's talking about we just he said the word
wrist brand like seven times. And it's well known that
Russell Wilson was changing plays at the line and if
he had to warn his wrist band, maybe he wouldn't

(01:12:47):
have been throwing interceptions on the gold line in Super
Bowls and running around trying to be here. All right.
Like I said before, I better not see none of
that in Munich. When I wake up at six thirty
Pacific time and to watch a dog on n a
football game, it's absolutely you're actually gonna go to sleep.
I normally just stay up. Man. I'll be up tonight
like I was. I was when I get home tonight,
I'll prep for all the NFL and the show that

(01:13:08):
I gotta do tomorrow. I would literally drink coffee. Were
talk about coffee doing the right. I'll stay up and
pretty much all night tonight and then into tomorrow watch NFL,
and then me and my kids will take a nap
at about like one, and I'll just bev are the
rest of the games that day and wake up tomorrow
night and watch the rest of them. You're a bad man,
I sleep at night. That's the way that We've been
doing it for a long time. And I'll keep going.

(01:13:29):
Coming up next on Fox Sports Radio and Martin and VJ,
we get into the Atomic Dogs, which one of these
underdogs are gonna win out right? Fox Sports Radio, All right, VJ,
you know what it is? This time every week eight
fifty Eastern Standard time. We go through this NFL slate
and we try to predict the unpredictable. We try to

(01:13:49):
be there. You know those guys on Monday, one of
the who saw that coming? You know who did? We did?
B J. Who's your first one? My first one? Man
is easy for me. Man all the way in Munich.
Will be up all night long the night off. Two
cups of Columbian Dark Roads coffee to stay all up. Man,
hang out with my kids and stay up to six
thirty to watch the Seattle Seahawks and my man PC

(01:14:09):
sending shots at what's Russe Wilson? Man, I like that
plus two right there? Man over Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Man,
my first dog at the weekend of the Seattle Seahawks
at the plus twin half, I'm taking that too. I'm
hoping that Tom Brady brought his compression sucks. I recently
took a ten hour flight VJ. Ten hours is a
long time to be on the flight. I'm four or

(01:14:30):
five hours match very long time to be on the flight.
And I'll tell you what you get a little ansty
I can only imagine what my type of what joints
you're doing for forty five year old Tom Brady my
first underdog. Yeah. Uh and by the way, to man,
that's why I ain't never gonna Dubai and then these
other famous places people go, I'm not on no plane
for sixteen seventeen hours. That's exactly where uh to ten

(01:14:54):
hour flights back to back. But this flight is not
nearly as long as the Cleveland Browns travel to your
Miami Dolphins VJ. Looks they've been cooking. I like it
a lot, but Cleveland off of BIA. I guess some
quarterbacks back Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams, maybe they slept Tyreek
kill and and uh and Jalen Wattle just a step
and a tour has been playing great, but is he
really gonna get his third fourth? And what is it?

(01:15:17):
FedEx Player of the Week. I'm going with the Cleveland
Browns outright. It's rick and water. We're gonna kill them
corners the road. Please, man, I give you a much
I give you a much better one here. The Minnesota
Vikings going out the buffalo. Josh Allen's got the elbow.
Buffalo still, as I've been saying for two years, won't
or can't run the football. Minnesota's playing really well, guys.

(01:15:37):
They gotta find somebody to cover Jefferson and Hackinson. The
deal that you really like last week when we talked
about trade deadlines, man three plus three and a half,
give me the vikings at Orchard Park to pull off
the upset tomorrow from my second atomic Don't look, this
isn't exactly an atomic dog, right If an atomic bomb
is like I'm talking about right now, it's more like

(01:15:59):
a pop rock. I know you, this is more. This
is this is one of those you know, this is
a black cat. You know what I'm saying, firecracker if
we're talking about atomic atomic dogs. But look, close your eyes,
pitch your nose, don't watch this game, but take the
Pittsburg Stealers because I want to say that lot it's
back in action. Okay, I go Mickey and Patrick is out.

(01:16:21):
I know that it's true, but I'm not out. Andy
Dalton it is not out, and Javis Winson is not happy.
But I read the article that he did in New
Orleans not Football. It's a great publication if you're a
New Orleans stats fan. David Winston said, I'm healthy and
I want to play. Andy Dalton keeps going pick sections
what's going on. Well, you know what's going on in
the Pittsburgh Steeler is gonna win. That's what's going on.
I got another one too, Mater. That's it's more like

(01:16:41):
a pot rocket them a little firecracker, little gun, little
cap gun, remember the little red a little yeah, one
of them things. Man, give me the Cardinals with a
plus wanted to have out here in Los Angeles to
play the Rams. I know you, I know, like I said,
you were still mad at Clint Kinsbury for some on
the reason. I don't know. Maybe you'll tell me she
really one day. But they gotta get this when the

(01:17:02):
Ram season, I believe, is done. If I were them,
I would think about maybe the rest of some of
these starters, maybe even Cooper Cup with Matthew Stafford in
the week of two and him, I say, guys, listen,
let's just we'll call it a year. We got our rain,
super Bowl hangover is what is. Give me the Cardinals,
give me Colin Murray and give me Cliff Kingsbury out
here in Los Angeles tomorrow with the plus one and
a half as my dog. Look, I got my last

(01:17:23):
dog of the week. I would say it's a hungry
dog with that's that's that's that's a misunderstanding, miss a misstatement.
This is a starving dog. This dog got three legs
and his wandering around looking for somebody to take care
of them. Please Lord at mercy and all they got
at the two time MVP on their roster, the Green
Bay Packers, and then you're going there the Palace Cowboys,

(01:17:46):
and then Jerry Jones signs Joe Dell Beckham on Tuesday morning.
That's how this plays out because the Cowboys won't be
able to score points and Aaron Rodgers isn't throwing three
kind of one through three interceptions in the red zone.
One last quick one for me a plus one and
he give me the coats With Jeff Saturday, I know
I don't like him having a job. I don't like
how everything went down, But they're playing the Raiders guys
in the Raiders game of a seventeen nothing lead last

(01:18:09):
week to the Jacksonville Jaguars. I need McDaniels fired, so
I need the Raiders to lose this. To lose this game,
say can fire that guy? Man give me the coaches
adult plus one eighty to your point, if the Raiders
who have blown three consecutive thirteen point leads, I mean
seventeen point leads. J. You know the record of teams.
You know what. We'll get into that after Seve updates

(01:18:31):
everything and college football and we'll talk about that coming
up next Fox Sports Saturday. Yes, sir, that's right. Martin Whitson.
VJ Husky here with you for one more hour until
ten o'clock Eastern Standard of time, broadcasting live from the

(01:18:52):
recommended installers tire rack dot com. The way tied buying
should be VJ. Right now, running back from my youth,
Cadillac Williams. Carnell Williams is leading jimbo Fisher's Texas saying,
um uh the Aggies with one minute left in the
second quarter, seven and nothing that Steve de Seca just
told you. But I'm sitting there looking at it right now.
And did you remember this summer Nick Saban saying like

(01:19:17):
he was in a booster and a booster fundraising event
for Alabama and essentially was like, hey, guys snitching. I
need more money. Look at what Jimbo and Dion are doing. Okay,
they bought every player. They bought every player, they bought
every half. To me, you guys to go ahead and
support the Crimson tie a little more more, little bit more, No,

(01:19:40):
not even a little bit more. We need a lot more. Okay,
I've listened, I've won. I've won thirty seven national championships here, Okay,
thirty seven and five years. I got that many. It
feels like it, and I need more money. But this
is listen. You and I were talking doing a break.
They go three and seven. I'm sorry. I'm gonna keep
saying until it happens. Jimbo Fisher has to get fired
on the tarmac tonight before they fly out of Arbourn,

(01:20:01):
like you, three and seven. It's un that is unacceptable
on every level of hierarchy or must do. And when
it comes to college football and you're at three and
six Auburn, I'm sorry, man, they lose this game tonight.
You he's gotta he's gotta go. It's not working, guys. Well.
One of the things that I had this is a

(01:20:22):
criticism I had to Jim Harbaugh for his first few
years at Michigan. But okay, you're telling me that you're
this quarterback guy. Where's the quarterback? The quarterback? Okay, now
now you got to J. J. McCarthy. He looks pretty good,
you know what I'm saying. But beforehand, we're running through
shape Patterson, but also a fifth year transfer seniors too.
But States and yeah, but but my point is, and

(01:20:45):
this current uh n C double A everybody's for grabbed,
it seems. Ever you don't like your quarterback called the
trans report will get another one. You know what. That's like,
the transports part. You can walk right in and pick
up a running back off the shelf. Yeah, you know so.
So that's so that's where you know this Texas saying

(01:21:07):
m thing being three and six. I understand your logic.
And I'm not saying that no one's gonna blame twice
if you get fired going three and seven, especially after
the money that he's sent out. Right, Yes, but with
the money that's the ability to send out these things,
canna turn around overnight. Listen. The one thing about sports
that always try to really convey to anybody that's listening

(01:21:28):
to me talking sports is that this is a business. First, okay,
and let's always remember that this is a business. First.
What do you need in business? Money? People do not
like wasting money. I don't like wasting money. I don't
like wasting food. I don't like wasting any I don't
like waste. I don't like wasting things, especially when they
cost money. What do they call them? Over recyclable VJ. Yeah,
there you go, Mr the big vanilla recyclable. I don't care, man,

(01:21:50):
call me whenever you want. I don't like wasted like.
There are certain foods. I just won't feed my son
camera because I know he's not gonna eat it, and
I'm gonna end up throwing the track. He's not gonna
eat warmed up waffles to our morning. He's not, so
these are going in the trash and guess what. Guess
what you're not getting tomorrow morning more waffles. I'm not
giving them to you because you're not gonna eaven. Don't
like wasting food. Right now, Texas A and M is
wasting a lot of food. There's a lot of talent

(01:22:11):
on this football team. Guys, at some point we have
to look at the coach, regardless of how much we
like him, how fun he is, or how great he is,
what the press are, whatever beef he creates between himself
and saving or whatever. That's fine. But at the end
of the day, the business of sports is wins and
losses period, and championships, conference national period. That's it. So

(01:22:36):
you have to look and go Okay. Great businessmen will
tell you. Millionaires and billionaires will tell you when you
ask them questions about business. Whatever works, Double down on fast,
whatever it doesn't. Get rid of fast, cut your losses early,
fast and business. If you're building a company, I don't
care if you're selling plates. If the corn bread is
not selling, stop making the damn corn bread. Just give

(01:22:57):
him a dinner roll. They're gonna eat that or not
a thro it away. Just give my dinner roll, Give
my haw Wian sweet roll. There you go, Give my
Kings of Wine roll with a two piece chicken with
the Kla greens and the mashed potatoes in the macaroni
cheese that you're making you sell at the salon and
the barbershop on Saturdays. Get rid of the corn bread.
It's not working. You're spending money on those boxes of Jeff,
you know what I'm saying. Get rid of that. So

(01:23:17):
I feel like that in sports too. If it's not working,
get rid of it fast. Don't hold on to what
they say about the Patriots for years. They were smart
enough to do what ladies and gentlemen get rid of
you a year earlier instead of a year later. We've
seen franchises get set back at all across all the
pro sports decades for holding onto guys too long, including coaches.

(01:23:40):
The SEVENTI is of finding that out with with Um
with DC Rivers. DC Rivers should have been fired last year.
You're gonna hold on to him because he's a nice,
good guy, and watch and watch where that and watch
where that gets you? Got bow next right now talking
about a fifth year graduate transfer bo Nicks as the
sixth range team Oregon down thirteen and ten against Washington.
I think my takeaway from this, I think Michael Pennox Jr.

(01:24:01):
Is a Sunday guy. I thought he was at Indiana
and uh. As I continue to watch him play, he
makes plays that impressed me. I think, obviously he's gotta
work on some of his processing and decision making skills,
but I think the raw talent is there that he
at least will get a look in this League. I'm
with you. And when he was in Indiana, both of
us being Big ten guys. I've been watching Big ten

(01:24:21):
football my whole life. I love Big ten football. Uh
so I saw him Indiana. Yes, he is a Sunday
guy because what the quarterback position is turned into on Sundays.
Are you gotta be able to move down? You gotta
be up to move now, Guy demannings the Bradys that
that those those days are going away. You guys love
Josh Allen, But what what do people tell you about
jo He runs, He's a big guy. Think about this, alright.

(01:24:43):
Who's been the most recent Brady comp Joe Burrow. You
know what Joe Burrow will do talking and run? Absolutely not,
but he will talking and run. It is. And and
then look at at Trey Lands and San Francisco that
game that he played against, uh the Bears. Five of
the seventh down, he's converting with his legs. That's something
that I mean just started. I mean, Justin Fields, Jalen Herds, um,

(01:25:08):
Lamar Jackson, just we're just going down to the list.
Even your pocket passers are guys who are still gonna
take off in Justin Herbert, he's another one justin Herbert's
got lays, He's got wills, He's got lays, and he knows.
How do you? I know that was very bad, but
I wanted to try anyway. Over though to Texas, Texas
Christian in Texas. This game right now is three to nothing.

(01:25:31):
Texas has not scored. This is the defense. We were
talking on his offensive stuff. We thought we were gonna
see and the two defense has decided to say no,
We'll take center stage the night one oh five and
the second quarter uh in Austin right now, number four
TCU at number eighteen Texas. A huge game, especially for
college football playoff implications. But what's your thoughts as we
as we look up in the right now, this Texas

(01:25:54):
offense UH concerning to say the least. TCU, I'm not
as concerned about. I've seen them seemed to move the
ball that haven't had necessarily been able to punch it
in or get into field growing, but they've been able
to get a couple of first downs, whereas Texas. Okay,
Well with Texas, I've seen your boy long air Joe
dirt Quinnewers throwing one interception and another one that looked

(01:26:16):
like if the guy had hands better than I did.
He would have caught it, you know what I'm saying.
He kind of tried to catch it. What did you
just do a Joe Dirt reference? Have you seen him? Yeah?
Of course, yeah, I've seen the movie. Though. I like dude,
I'm a comedian, I'm an actor, so I I love
movie references. I didn't know I didn't know you was
gonna go there with Yeah. He looked like he got
I'm gonna mess a line of what is it? He's
got business on the right, party on the left. You know,

(01:26:38):
It's like, that's what his hair. That's what it was.
His hair was business up front, party in the back.
That's what it was. That's what it was. He's rocking
a New Age mullet, which I think is the worst
hair decision in life other than the Jerry Curl. I
don't care what nobody's saying. I come from the Jerry
curl community. I never had one but my uncle's and

(01:27:00):
my family, you know, growing up in the DNV and
having family in Jersey and New York and down in
the countryside of North Carolina. Clinton, North Carolina, ain't going
North Carolina, South Carolina and Gaffney I had some family
members man that has some Jerry curls, and I thought
that was the worst hair decision, right along with mother.
I'll take a mohawk over Jerry curl and motheret So

(01:27:24):
any kid today with the mullet, it doesn't it just
doesn't fit at all. There's no one walking around with
the mullet nowadays. It's not popular. You can't try to
bring it back. There's at least one playing quarterball of
Texas and looks he looks like his name should be
Hending Hooker. Yeah, you're going to hooker. Yeah, you know what.
I can never hear his name without thinking about you

(01:27:46):
saying that hook I can never hear his name now
without thinking Martin with the damn Hendon Hooker stuff. Man,
And this should we stay right now? And Georgia just
to go around, to go around the number one team,
Georgia twenty four its cippy State twelve sets advantage just
completely would look like about a thirty five yard pass.
Georgia's looking like they're in business. Mississippi State scored on

(01:28:06):
I think it was a punt return or cook off
return before they have a special team type of play.
But Mike Leach's offense is just not gonna be able
to get it done here now with this defense. Man,
I'm telling you, I'm I'm high George. I'm telling you
all about Georgia. I just don't, I honestly believe that.
I don't think there's anybody that could be there, that
includes Michigan because J. J. McCarthy would have to make
at least four or five throws to move the sticks

(01:28:27):
and score points in that game. And I just don't
think George's giving that up to anybody manager. Their defense
is just too strong. You gotta think about that nine
guys off their defense last year that all got drafted.
Nine starters on their defense got drafted ladies and gentlemen.
That's phenomenal. So you know that people playing behind them
not no scrubs. They ain't no bums, they're not no cut,

(01:28:47):
they're not no sauce. They can play, trust me, because
they had to spell those guys for breathers. There's are
games where guys were hurt and they were still dominating people. So, uh,
George is gonna I don't. I don't see Arburn scoring
No excuse me, I don't the Mississippi State scoring a
lot here. They only got twelve points on the board.
Even if double that twenty four George at twenty four,
so it would be two would still be a three touchdown.

(01:29:10):
Uh blow out here though, But it's really impressive what
TCU was doing here on the road too. And then uh,
you know we got Oregon in Washington also h and
a close one here too, Man bow Nicks, what do
you what is your thought? I want to like him years.
I think of the enterprise commercial. Uh, some of us
are going pro and something other than the sport. Ha ha,

(01:29:34):
that's mess. Stuffy got a free education, Okay, worked harde
made a lot of big moments, has a big sec moments.
Who knows what's gonna happen with Oregon? But yeah, this
is the end of the You know they he gets
dropped it in all You don't they are not even
drafted it. He doesn't make a team like for opening
Sunday next year. You don't think bo Nix is on
any NFL. Well, you know what if you had asked me,
uh this time last year, I told you just had

(01:29:55):
Mellinger would have never been on an NFL roster And
he's starting on Sunday. So I don't know, you know,
I would have thought sam Elner was like but essential
college guy, though you know, I didn't think. I didn't
think that he was going to be uh well, you know,
ultimately may not be. But you know what, DJ, I
think this is one that you've probably had on in

(01:30:16):
your crawl for a minute now. The dream team, the
Michael Jordan, the Isaiah Thomas. I met all the requirements.
He met all the requirements, as we all saw in
the middle of the pandemic for the last day. Isaiah
Thomas met all the requirements and he's still bringing it up.
We'll get into that next Fox Sports Radio. Martin and VJ.
Coming to your live from the tirec dot com studios

(01:30:57):
talking about Michael Pennick Jr. They're about to you in
right here on Oregon's third and goal coming up. If
that's not a touchdown right there. But yeah, Oregon in
a dog fight right now with the Washington Huskies, the
Washington I'm here right how about that. I'll tell you this, man,
there's there's a lot of hatred in this in this rivalry.

(01:31:17):
There's this thing has been really amped up over the
last ten to fifteen years, and people don't really know
about it because you have Watchington Washington State in the
Apple Company. You got the civil war between Oregon organ State.
But I tell you, guys who don't live on the
West coast, Washington and Oregon as this heated and as
chippy and as hateful as any other rivalry in college football.

(01:31:39):
Trust me on this. So this game is gonna be
down to the wire and this was not gonna be
a blowout. I need Oregon to win so it doesn't disrupt,
you know, some of the some of the goofiness that
they try to pull on us with the college football playoff.
But as you just heard Martin said, Washington just went
in for a touchdown is being reviewed right now because
it's trying to see if his knee was down or
that's a touch It looked like, look like it just

(01:32:02):
down live exactly it look like. And my I have
over twenty years of experience sitting down all my butt
watching football, so I'm gonna go ahead and call that
one a touchdown. But you're talking about rivalries now, this one,
I think when they were playing it was more of
a rivalry until Jordan kind of ran off with it.

(01:32:23):
But it's not hard to deny. I'll put it to
you like this VJ. You got, you know, the one
place where people exist that Hey, both Lebron and Michael
Jordan's Detroit Michigan gook. Jordan went through the bad had
to go through the bad boys first, and then Lebron's
kind of welcome to the league moment. Welcome was it?
You know it? Do you know it? Right? So I

(01:32:45):
thought I should They thought Jason max Hill can guard
him on the perimeter. I shouldn't say he's welcome to
the league moment. But it was one of those early
It was little early like wait a minute, Okay, we
heard about this guy. This might be what we heard. Yeah,
this might be what we heard about, but uh, it's
stemmed back up there in the last dance, Isaiah Thomas

(01:33:06):
just can't let it go. See that's not fair. And
I'm gonna defend my man Zeke right now, who I
always call the one b point guard in NBA history.
I can get him. People want Magic to be one.
Ak fine, Isaiah's not too. He's one because he's a
little man doing it. But Litten, the only person to
not not to throw you off. The only person that

(01:33:26):
can really argue, in my opinion, for us from a
size perspective is Steph Curry Thomas. Yeah, yeah, you know what.
There wasn't it? So you want to say Magic is
the best point guard ever? Okay? Cool? He's also six
and nine okay, and Kareem Isaiah Thomas didn't had none
of that, and especially the eight inches that makes him

(01:33:48):
six half. But Jordan's listen, I get it, man, But
there's a point in your life where I don't want
to use the term grow up because I like Jordan's
I do. It ain't about his shoes. I don't own
a pair of Jordan's. I don't own anything. I think.
The only thing in my closet that's got the Jordan
emblem on it was an all star zip up jacket
that Kendall gave me when Kendall was in college that

(01:34:09):
he got from the Jordan Classic. I have his Jordan
Classic zip up hoodie. That's the only thing I have.
So it's not about his clothes, not about his sneakers,
it's none of that. I loved watching Jordan play, have
great memories of watching Jordan play. But there becomes a
point where you have to just I guess, show your
maturity and share your age. Man, we know Jordan's is
is always competitive and Jordan has always got that chip

(01:34:31):
on his shoulder. This is the man that brought the
guy that they kept over him in high school to
his Hall of Fame induction, Like he brought the guy
with him basically to say, yeah, that's the guy you
guys cut from me, you kept over me as a sophomore.
He was just a Jordan, your sophomore. Yeah he's yeah,
he's a sol. You're you're a sophomore. You probably weren't

(01:34:51):
gonna make the team. But he bought that guy with him,
like to say, yeah, this I have my life. You
have your life, and this is where mine is culminated too.
But I think it's this, I think it's at a
time where both these both these fellow kings need to
come together. Isaiah needs no apologize for and Zeke's my guy.

(01:35:12):
Y'all know that I love my Pistons. We just watched
them get blown out and lose to the Celtics for
a back to back for a second time in the
last week already. But I would like to see these
guys come together. I think Zeke needs no apologize to
him for walking off the court because even as a
Zeke fan, that still stings me. That still stings me,
that still hurts me as a Zeke fan that at
the end of the day, and I understand Boston was

(01:35:33):
walking off the court two years prior to that. To
you guys, I get all of that, but the way
he goes by him, and the duck of the head
with the scratch up to the eyebrowser covering his face,
even as a Zeke fan, still sits some way negatively
with me, even as the loving fan I am. But

(01:35:53):
Jordan's also needs the man up and admit that the
the subliminal way that you asked who was gonna the team?
And I didn't never say I didn't want Isaia team,
but it was kind of a subliminal way where you said,
if Isaiah's on the team, I'm not going and we
you know, we needed to take you to Barcelona and

(01:36:15):
to really make this dream team when it ended up
becoming even with Drexler and Bird and Barkley and Malone
and Stockton, and even when David Christian later was on
this team and David Robinson and Patrick Ewing, like even
with Chris Mullen, even with all these guys on the team,
it would never have worked without Michael Jordan's Mike, you

(01:36:35):
know what you did at this point and in both
your lives. I think y'all both need to sit down
in the chair across from each other, like Kobe and
Shock did iron this stuff out, man, dap up, say
you're both say you're sorry because Isaiah that was still weak, bro.
But with Jordan's doing and even Jordan dubling down, even
though he called Isaia the second greatest point guard of

(01:36:56):
all time, he goes when it came to his game,
You've never heard me say nothing negative, cool man, But
I think it's tom Both of these guys face to face,
come up, man, dap each other up. They both need
to apologize. But I do think Jordan's apology needs to
be bigger than Isaiah's apology. I don't think either one
of them need to apologize. Just let it go. It was.

(01:37:17):
It was thirty years ago, and and I like basketball beef. Okay,
so then if I might like here, because here's what's happening. Ultimately,
we have a guy like Isaiah Thomas whose legacy is
one that you and I are still pounding the table for.
But guys are got again. He was the foil for

(01:37:40):
Michael Jordan's oftentimes, right, So automatically, history is written by
the winners. Okay, So when we're doing all of this
extra stuff and we're going back to all of it,
it's just like Isaiah, you had an incredible NBA career,
you know what I mean. There's but he was denied
being on the greatest team. I understand that time. And

(01:38:03):
and and if that was you, Martin, you could talk
all that, let it go all you want. If that
was you, it would still sting you, my man, I would,
but I would never let anybody know. That's that's the difference.
That's the difference between me and that time. I'm not
buying that. I would be salty as hell. I would
never tell anybody know you know what. In fact, I'll
tell somebody right now because you no longer than been.
Just when Kyle Bogy got the job and then Detroit

(01:38:25):
on the radio over me, I was talking for three years.
Three years. That's growth. I like that. But you know
what I told, You know what I did. I didn't
tell nobody tell I told everybody just now. Who can
hear me in the whole world the national radio. I
had never really let it go then. But you know
what I didn't do. I didn't sit up and be like, man,
you know what, if I had just had the opportunity,
who knows where I would have been. Now. You know

(01:38:46):
what I did. I stayed focused and I locked in,
and I'm here now because of it. If I let
all that little stuff eat me up, I'd be forty
fifty sixty years old talking about it. You hadn't I
got the job over man, I feel you. But and
it wasn't about changing Isaiah's trau directory. He Isaiah was
gonna be what he was gonna be. I think it

(01:39:07):
would have changed he was in that on the Dream Team. Absolutely, don't.
I think Isaiah was still gonna be who Isaiah is
still to this day, who was Isaiah Thomas. Also, guys,
let's get this straight. He is very respected in NBA circle.
He had slip ups with the Knicks, but he also
was a really really good GM. Isaiah Thomas gave us

(01:39:27):
Damon Stiddlemeyer, he gave us Marcus Camby, he gave us
Tracy McGrady. He drafted all those guys in Toronto and
then had an Indiana team and then the Knicks. But
everybody screws up with the Knicks, so that goes out
the door with me for everybody. I don't even count
car Melows, Nick Shears and he had some good years.
They won fifty five games one your fifty two games
one year there. I still don't even count that. But
Isaiah still feels that being left out and being left

(01:39:52):
out on a personal That's why he always says, I
met the criteria, you guys. Let one man blimerally try
to tell you, guys, and I'm pretty sure, and I'll
say it right now. I do believe at some point, Martin,
that Michael Jordan's verbally said to somebody in confidence, are
inquired or in a closed area, if Isaiah Thomas is

(01:40:14):
on this team, I'm not going and if he did that,
that's dead ass raw. Look he didn't want to deal
with him. Sorry, Look, you know what makes the rules
the best. I ain't trying to say that. Apologize. I
apologize for taking something from that man. But if you're Isaiah,
you apologize for the way you walked off the court

(01:40:36):
to especially getting sweat like that. That's what made it
even worse. Apologize, both of y'all say sorry for anything
excepted the fact that I'm getting to Steve the Sager's
update one that late Steve, Sorry about that, buddy. What's
trending in the world of sports. Good evening, gentlemen. Number
one Georgia has scored a couple of touchdowns to open
the second half. It's now thirty one twelve, the lead
at Mississippi State, which is driving for about five minutes

(01:40:58):
left in the third. Oregon is in the lead at home.
They have scored extra point will make at two twenty
over Washington on Fox TV in the third quarter. Late
third on FS one, nineteenth rank. Kansas State leads twenty
four three at Baylor halftime. Believe or not, this is
a big twelve games three nothing. TCU leads at Texas halftime.

(01:41:18):
Number fifteen, North Carolina is up twenty seven twenty one
at Wake Forest and halftime. Florida State leads at Syracuse
twenty four to three wins in the Big Ten today
for Ohio State and Michigan. Also, Rutgers is one and
six in that conference after losing at Michigan State twenty
seven twenty one. Northwestern one and nine overall after losing
thirty one three at Minnesota, and Iowa pulled away for

(01:41:41):
a win over Wisconsin twenty four to ten. Number seven
l s U won thirteen to ten at Arkansas. L
s U s defense with five sacks. Number nine Alabama
a winner thirty to twenty four at Old Miss. Bama
had trailed late third quarter. Fifth ranked Tennessee was down
in the third but won sixty six twenty four over Missouri.

(01:42:02):
Wins for Penn State and Central Florida for Notre Dame
and Boston College, which got a short touchdown pass in
the final seconds to win twenty one twenty at sixteenth
ranked NC State, per Due one at number twenty one,
Illinois thirty one two. Vanderbilt gotta win at twenty fourth
rank Kentucky twenty four to twenty one. Kyrie Irving and
the Nets will not play tomorrow against the Lakers. He's

(01:42:23):
still suspended by the team. Brooklyn beat the Clippers in
l A today one Kevin Durant with twenty seven points
by the way. Lebron James of the Lakers doubtful for
tomorrow with the adductor strand. Lakers have lost five straight.
They are two and ten this year. Boston has won
six in a row, ten and three. Record for the
Celtics one seventeen, one oh eight the final at Detroit tonight.

(01:42:44):
Jalen Brown of the Celtics was out with a bruise knee,
so Jayson Tatum scored forty three points on fourteen of
twenty eight shooting from the floor. Wins at home for
Indiana and for Washington, and among the games in progress
going to the fourth quarter at Philly, it's the Sixers
ninety nine eighty four over the Atlanta Hawks. Joel em
beat already thirty four points. Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill

(01:43:06):
is due to start tomorrow against the Broncos. He's missed
two games with an ankle injury, and according to NFL Network,
Bill's quarterback Josh Allen, with the bad elbow, is due
to start tomorrow against the Vikings. The forty Niners activated
running back Elijah Mitchell, but Steelers safety Minka Fitzpatrick could
miss multiple weeks after an appendectomy. And you may have
heard of the Division three football powerhouse Mount Union, which

(01:43:29):
won its conference championship again today thanks to hail mary
on the final play in the snow winning one that
ensured Mount Union a thirty feet undefeated regular season in
the history of that program. And the hail mary went
off the defender's helmet up into the air and to
the offensive receiver at the goal line for the win.

(01:43:51):
Back to you, Mountain Union. How about that home of
Cecil Shorts and Pierre gal song? That's all I got
from Mountain Union? Saw you need when you saying Pierre?
Pierre was a dope slot receiver for the Colts. He
played well for the Washington football team, right, he did,
He did play, He did well back to back. But
let's talk about a guy that Steve just mentioned him

(01:44:12):
just a second ago. Josh Allen, slated to play Matt Barkley,
got another California quarterback we were discussing earlier in the
show not elevated from the practice squad, which means the
Bills feel like Josh Allen is good to go now.
Vegas had this thing at a seven point line, dropped
it down to three and a half when Josh Allen
was you know, had his u C O announcement, I
should say, And it's still trickling around three, so it's

(01:44:34):
still it's a very interesting spot in that regard. But
Josh Allen with a slight sprain of his u C L,
which if you're not if you're not aware, a sprain
means and not, if not a full tear, a partial tear,
because it what a sprain is. So as you see,
L is partially torn and it's slated to play. And uh,
I personally, at this point, I think I would sit

(01:44:56):
Josh Allen for this game with VJ. I have a
feeling you feel differently, Yeah, do feel differently because it's
too late in this season. You can't sit guys at
this point. Guys, especially with the bumbass Jets, my Miami,
my Mighty Miami Dolphins and the surprising Bill Belichick's right
on their tail. You can't set them because if you
sit them, you got no shot. They don't run the football.

(01:45:17):
They can't run the football. The Vikers are a good
team coming in here tomorrow. If this was Jacksonville or Detroit.
Are the Panthers coming in I think they set them.
But you don't want to drop this game to Minnesota
coming into this game, a high powered offensive team, a
team that can run the football, they can stop the run.
They blitz their corners of playing great this year, which

(01:45:37):
is a far cry from what they look like the
last what season and a half, the last eighteen months
the secondary in Minnesota, So you have to play them.
It's too late to be sitting guys now. And and
once again, you got three teams in your division, and
the a f C is just too loaded. You got
the Chiefs, you got the Dolphins, you got the Jets,
you got the Patriots still hanging in there. You got
the Titans, you got um who would be coming out
of I'm missing one. I'm missing one team. Oh, I'm sorry.

(01:45:59):
In the Ravens. And I don't think the Bengals. I
think the Bankers are gonna have a Super Bowl hangover.
I think they finished five hundred, just over five hundred,
like the Rams having a Super Bowl hangover. So the
a f C is super loaded, you can't send him. Man,
this is an injury too. I looked this up because
I honestly, I've never heard of a u c L
causing this much conversation in the NFL. But it's more
of a baseball injury. And he said this. Normally this

(01:46:21):
could not guys out in baseball like this could take
them out from months. And is your Tommy John is
what u c L is Tommy John surgery is used
to repair torn u c over r. Well, then yeah,
you gotta play him. But that's dangerous, man. But that's
the exact reason why I'm not gonna play him. Now.

(01:46:42):
You say it's a baseball injury, and yes, we hear
more often in baseball. When we heard this one in
football just three years ago. You know who had it,
Josh Allen towards u c l's rookie year and was
out there still playing, right, I get it. But the
idea that I'm about to be paying this guy some
forty million dollars next year and he is the heart
and soul, engine and and and literally seats and seatbelts

(01:47:03):
and and and gas of the car that makes the
thing go in Buffalo. Look, this is why we signed
backup quarterbacks Like I, I understand that. You know, if
if he's good enough to go, you wanted to be
out there to go. And you know you're in a
place where you can't feel like you feel like you
can't sacrifice wins. But they can't if you're But if
you're Buffalo and you haven't had a quarterback since Jim Kelly,

(01:47:25):
you've been running guys in and out there since Jim Kelly,
and you're trying to figure out your guy. You finally
got him. I don't know how much a week ten game,
ultimately it's going to matter, and especially in a situation
where two or three weeks, two or three weeks of
rest potentially could make this injury significantly better. I just, man,

(01:47:46):
it's we'll just say if he goes out there ter UCLA,
so then he's got to get surgery, and you know what,
you don't see him again till this time next year.
And guess what. And if he sits and they end
up going on a three game losing streak while he's out,
seasons over anyway, and then they may say, well you
can lose, you could lose, you know, this season and
potentially next to the guy you just signed to a
long term deal. I much rather would lose this season

(01:48:08):
than next. That's why I you can lose this season
or you could lose your season. I'm losing the season
with him playing. I'm not losing this season with him sitting.
If he sits, you can lose three four in a
row and their season is over and you sat him.
If you play me, he gets hurt. Okay, fine, if
I'm losing this season, I'm losing it on him playing.

(01:48:29):
He can't. It's too late for him to sit once again.
If they had a more of a cushion and they
didn't look like it had two other contenders in your
division right on their tail, then I can see what
people are saying, but you can't. Miami's gonna win tomorrow
and the Jets and Priory Jets are on the by,
so they don't even play this week. But Miami is
gonna win them all and go to seven and three.
They're sitting at six and three or six and soon

(01:48:50):
because they haven't had their that there, they haven't had
their by yet. So I I just I just think
you gotta play at this point, man. You you have
to get out there. If he doesn't play, Martin, they
got a shot, Bro, who's their backup? I'll be honest,
I'm a football guy. I don't even know who's the
backup there because your bisk is gone. Who's their backup? Case?
Keenom okay, Case keenom No, you gotta play, Bro. I

(01:49:11):
took Bulls. I took bills three and a half with
the knowledge thinking that case Keenum would play. I actually
like it. I like it less with the idea of
Josh Allen could play because the idea that he's gonna
go out there with ligament damage, not being able to
grip the ball. I watched videos of this guy's not
even picking his helmet up off the ground. I don't
see how this is gonna be successful. And let's they
just run the wing t which I mean short, Josh

(01:49:32):
sounds a great running back, you know, slightly torn ligament.
See when I hear like these type of diagnosis and
people like, yeah, just rest, well, just because your rest
doesn't mean that at some point there literally the fix
for the sprain is to rest. That's that's the fix.
So they never need surgery unless if you tear it
fully if you tear it fully, they want to cut

(01:49:54):
you open. If you have a partial tear, they say
rest really okay, all right, I still play him. I'm sorry.
At this point in the year, it's going in the
week ten, you just can't rest guys at the quarterback
position at this important Both came in here during the
break and he's like, Carlo's out, and and um and
and there's a there was a tweet, Matthew Stafford's out.
Matthew Stafford. I get but the Cardinals still have a

(01:50:15):
playoff shot. If you got a hamstring, dude, do some
of that with an electric stimulation or get get it
rubbed on on as something you gotta play. Bro. It's
week ten and we're already fighting just to just to
get into the playoffs. You gotta play. I hope the
Buffalo Bills are looking towards the long term future because
that contract is going to kick in, whether or not
that UCL or not so. But coming up next, Martin

(01:50:38):
and VJ. We do this every Saturday around nine fifty.
We tell you who's gonna win. Let's make some money.
Coming up next, Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Radio, Martin
and VJ coming to you live from the track dot Com.
VJ is chuckling over here because of what we were
just talking about ring and I'm not telling y'all, but

(01:50:58):
you know, we we wild here, man. We have a
lot of fun. I'll just say a long three years. Man,
that's really it's like I just say, from marks from
the inception of COVID right now, it's in the long years.
Got to give everybody. I saw I saw an article
in the Washington in the New York Times that said,
you know, we should try to give people graceful what
they did in the darkest times of COVID, and uh,

(01:51:21):
and I'm kind of I'm kind of there, I'm kind
of agreeing, Like you know what I'm saying, Like we
always say that the things are unprecedented. That was truly unprecedented.
You know, that wasitely unprecedent. I want you I was like,
the the one thing that I thought that was a
benefit outside of contact delivery. Contactless delivery definitely a plus.

(01:51:42):
Staggering the NBA schedule was awesome during COVID. The way
that they staggered the schedule had games starting and you
could watch and there were games that like from three
I should say, I guess from six to midnight right
Easter time. That games on every night was perfect and
I wish that they would do I wish that there
was some way, and they kind of did it. On

(01:52:03):
the day before election day, we had staggered starts for
all the games. We should go back to that nobody
we don't all had to tip a seven thirty local time.
That would be my thing. My favorite part of COVID
was the fact that being an actor and a comedian,
I got actors benefits. So I literally got paid for
a year of actors benefits that a fellow actor and

(01:52:25):
comedian mind helped me log in and sign up for
and everything. I literally got paid more than what my
job at that point was paying me to sit at
home with my newborn son, Cameron for one full year.
I was with my son every day sun up to
sun down for his entire first year of his life,

(01:52:46):
and I never had to go to work. And it goes.
I was saying, obviously, it was a terrible experience and
something want to go back to. I'm just saying that, no,
not that was. That was a great experience. But out
of terrible experiences, some good things could have and born,
but will not be a terrible experience VJ. But watching
Sunday if you make the picks with us, Okay, because
we're about to make some money. Let's get these picks

(01:53:07):
started bo al right, guys, we are going to start
with the Vikings heading to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
The lion has changed all over the place because nobody
really knows what's going on with Josh Allen. I think
the latest is that he seems to be training towards planes.
So what you guys got, Buffalo is favored by six
and a half. Right now, Buffalo went back up. Happened Allen?

(01:53:29):
That was the last I saw. Yes, Okay, at six
and a half, I'm going with the Minnesota Vikings at
six and a half, I'm taking the Vikings to cover
that right there at three and a half, I actually
locked in the Bills with the thought that case Keenden
was gonna play earlier in the week. But with Josh
Allen's u c L, I expect him to run a
lot more than throw it. And I don't know how
that's gonna work for Buffalo. Well I'll tell it's gonna

(01:53:49):
work for Buffalo. They can't run the football. They haven't
been able to run the football in the last three years,
but now his back up the six and a half
that Allan's playing, absolutely give me the Vikings in the
six and a half. Alrighty, next one, maybe the most
interesting game this week. The Colts had to Las Vegas,
who take on the Raiders um with a head coach
that was again watching the games on his couch last week,

(01:54:12):
uh and Jeff Saturday. The Raiders are favored by four
and a half points in this one. Here, you guys
got see j I don't know, man. You know we're
not on TV as of right now. We are radio
host though, so maybe that's like college football head coaching
position might be available to us. I'm taking Josh McDaniels,
who has no idea what he's doing, but at least
he's been doing it for the last nine weeks. Jeff
Saturday was getting makeup on on Monday morning when he

(01:54:34):
got the call from Jim Mercy because he was getting
ready to go get up. No, I'm I'm taking the
Las Vegas Raiders. Example, This one fired Josh McDaniels. Now, please,
do you know what, as much as I hate the
higher I'm going with the Colts one this one. I
don't trust the Raiders, man, and I need Josh McDaniels
fired because I live out here in l A and
I have a lot of friends, colleagues, and in laws

(01:54:54):
that are Raider fans, and they're miserable right now. I
can't even talk football with him. They won't even talk
to me right now. So give me the Colts on
this one, man. That way, the Raiders can fire McDaniels
and start a new and move forward, all right. Next one,
a game that really doesn't mean as much as it
feels like it should. The UH Dallas Cowboys take on

(01:55:15):
the Green Bay Packers, and the Cowboys are favored by
four points in this one. I see I bought low
on the lines last week against the Packers. I'm buying
low on the Packers this week against the Cowboys. Aaron
Jones looked like he's gonna play after leaving the game
last week in the walking boat. Aaron Rodgers is not
going to throw an interception in this game. I know

(01:55:37):
that may be hard to believe after you do three
its last time, but if you watch his whole career,
he rarely turns the ball over. He gets better, not
right better, and the Packers cover. The Packers cover, man.
I'm gonna take the Packers on this one with you, man,
because they're at home. I still believe in Discount double check,
and I still don't fully believe in Dallas. I think

(01:55:57):
the Chips have fallen their way a little bit here
in the season. I still got a door dash bet
on the Dallas not making the playoffs, so I got
I need that to cash it for me when the
guy got that bet going with man, So I'll go
with you here to make give me the Packers to cover,
all right. Well, give us a tough one, all right.
Next one is actually my stone cold lock of the
Century of the week that hit last week that did

(01:56:18):
finally uh. The Chargers head to San Francisco to take
on the Niners, where the forty Niners are a seven
and a half point favorite. I have the Niners covering
and winning because they are getting everybody back this week
and the Chargers are not that impressive to me both
back to back weeks. I'm going with this, what is it,
the stone cold lead pipe century lock of the Week
of the month of the year with you right here.

(01:56:39):
I'm going with the Sancis forty Niners. As you say,
Deebo's back, said who was up the debo? He's back,
Christopher Caffrey's good shape, and uh okay, we made this
quarterback proof in San Francisco. Yeah, I'll go with you
guys with this one, with you on that one too. Bo,
give me the Niners to cover this game. I think
they're going to blow them out tomorrow, and then we'll
start to ask the questions who's better too? Are Oh
my bad Oo's already been doing that for the last

(01:57:00):
three weeks. Alright, last one here, guys. The Commanders head
to Philadelphia to take on the undefeated Eagles. The Eagles
are favored by eleven points in this one, double digit
favorites here. Listen, I think the Eagles should win this
game by more than eleven points. However, when I look
at every other primetime game that has happened seemingly since
like Week four, you have to take the Commanders and

(01:57:21):
the points because, look, you may feel stupid because you
bet on Taylor Heinike at the end of Monday night,
but you know what, you'll feel even dumber all of
Monday when this is a touchdown game. The entire game
Washington covers. Give me the Washington Commanders too. Man going
with my home d m V friends and family back
home that are Commander fans. I'm not a Commander fan,
but they almost got me the Minnesota game last week.

(01:57:44):
I think they're gonna go ahead and get me this one.
Give me Watchington with the plus eleven and a half.
But did me and Vita disagree on every pick? Uh No,
you guys split on the Raiders and that was strategically
throw in the Cleveland Browns in the Miami Dolphins just
for conversity. Okay, right, bet you've got the Browns right,
definitely got it. Beat Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports shot
that morning. VJ we out
