Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Yes, leaving the dream
once again here on a fabulous NFL Sunday. This is
Fox Sports rehet Zone Radio. Were broadcasting live from the
ti iraq dot com studios, tirac dot com. We're gonna
help get you there on on that selection FATS free,
Shippy Free, road hazard Protection over ten thousand recommended installers,

(00:23):
tirack dot com. The way tire buying should be. Eight
games about the kickoff right now. Here is the Rundown
Steelers at the Falcons, Packers at the Bears, Jaguars at
the Lions, Jets of the Vikings, Commanders at the Giants,
Titans at the Egos, Bronckets, Broncos of the Ravens, and
the return of Deshaun Watson the Browns on the road

(00:44):
against the Texans. And look who's back from Biloxi, Mississippi.
I mean, we have had our Fox Sports Radio family
in Biloxie over the last couple of days. And here
you are, Rich arm Burger. Yeah yeah, Biloxi over at
the MGM Sports Book in side of the bow Ravage,
a gorgeous casino resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. And that's where

(01:06):
we hosted Countdown to kick Off on both Saturday and Sunday,
leading you into uh into these games here which we're
excited for. Man. Well, the game that obviously is gonna
get a lot of spotlight today is the Browns against
the Texans, a four and seven team against the worst
team in the NFL. That would be the Houston Texans
sitting at one nine and one, and why because Deshaun Watson,

(01:27):
after nearly two years away from the NFL, is back
on the field today for the Cleveland Browns. There have
been a lot of comments leading up to this game.
Why is this guy still part of the NFL. The
bottom line is is that he is, and he is
being paid boatload of money by the Cleveland Browns to
make them a winner. Just to do the economics here,

(01:49):
remember he signed a fully guaranteed two and thirty million
dollar contract, but his salary for this year was only
a million dollars, So his eleven game suspension cost him
a little over six hundred thousand dollars plus the five
million dollar fine, meaning that he is still gonna make
over two million dollars guarantee. Yeah, he is going to
be is a very rich man and it's because he's

(02:11):
one of the most talented players in the NFL. You
are playing the most important position in the NFL, and
you played as well as he plays it. That's what happens.
The unfortunate reality is, also you said it, it's a
bottom line business, so almost regardless of what you're accused of,
it doesn't matter. The NFL has proved this time and
time again. If you're talented, there will be an owner

(02:33):
who will take the risk to pay you a lot
of money to play this game. As long as you're talented.
If he was a third string quarterback, we wouldn't have
said his name another time. If he was accused of,
you know, twenty five plus different accounts, accusations of female
massage therapists being sexually assaulted by him or harassed by
him allegedly, we we would never hear DeShawn Watson's name again.

(02:56):
But he's not a third string quarterback. He's a starting quarterback.
He's an All Pro orderback. He's one of the best
doing it, and so that's the reason why he's on
the field today. Interesting, very quick, No. Trevor Bauer, one
of the best pitchers in baseball coming off of Cy
young season, pitching great baseball for the Dodgers, and we
have yet to see him. He's trying you to get
back into uh major league baseball. He's followed all cords
of lawsuits. They've thrown him right back in his face.

(03:18):
He's gone, he's done, and we assume and rich to you.
I had many conversations as this whole thing unfolded with
Shahn Watson because Major League Baseball took a hard stand
against Trevor Bauer and it is held up. Maybe it
would be a similar situation in the NFL, but it
does show you the difference in stature in the NFL
versus Major League Baseball and Deshaun Watson the investment made

(03:39):
by the ownership of the Cleveland Browns in him as
a quarterback of the future. So there is a difference,
no question. And you're right across the board. I mean,
this is simply a at our money, So right or wrong,
Deshaun Watson is going to see his first NFL action
today in nearly two years. Yeah, and just sort of
dovetailing off of that story, You're going to see Tony Buzzby,

(04:01):
the representative of the accusers or many of the accusers
of Deshaun Watson is bringing some of those accusers to
the game in Houston. And you remember he once played
in Houston. So this is gonna be an emotional game
for the Texans, an emotional game for the crowd in Houston,
certainly an emotional game for Deshaun Watson because through it

(04:23):
all he's claimed his innocence. We've had we have the
last couple of weeks. We have to be honest. We're
always honest on the show. We haven't had a lot
of great matchups. Now turns out some of the games
are more entertaining than we anticipated. But today, Rich, we
have five games on the schedule where we have teams
matched up that both have winning records. One of them

(04:43):
going on right now, the Commanders, who are now seven
and five on the road against the Giants. And how
about this, The Commanders are favored in this game on
the road against the Giants by two and a half points.
They are really sort of, you know, been under the radar,
this command team, and uh Ron Rover has really done
a great job. Yeah, they came in as a favorite

(05:05):
today against the Giants. Now score in any of the
games going on right now, But we have that game
going on, obviously the Titans at the Eagles, where the
Eagles continue to have, of course the best record in
the NFL, and also the Jets at the Vikings. And
despite the Vikings nine and two records, there's still a
lot of people are like, this is the worst nine
and two team. Perhaps we've seen a recent memory, I

(05:29):
mean that the blow loss obviously to the Cowboys. Yeah,
it's just so strange to say that there are nine
win team nine and two. It's hard to call them bad.
It's hard to it's hard to imagine that nine and
two is bad. But let's face it, this is gonna
be one of those teams that you're gonna have to
keep your eye on when they get to the postseason.

(05:49):
Like when if this team who's playing in a down
division this year? The NFC North is a down division
this year. Green Bay is not Green Bay as it
used to be. The Lions are the dorm out of
them fell still, the Bears are trying to get it together,
and Justin Fields had played well but then he got injured.
So the only team in the NFC North worth anything
right now is the Vikings. But that's six games against

(06:13):
weaker competition, and they have a weaker schedule because of
how they played last year. So the Vikings are sort
of finding their way through their regular season schedule, really
interested to see how they play when they get to
the postseason. There a lock for the postseason at this
point unless something goes disastrously wrong for the team. UM
and helped from elsewhere, you know. We we start the

(06:33):
day with a pair of interceptions. Texans first drive, first play,
UH throw a pick up there to the Cleveland defense
that plays under room. And here it is Deshaun Watson's
first play from scrimmage as the Cleveland Browns quarterback. Also
the Vikings UH got a pick off of Mike White
and the New York Jets who are visiting Minnesota right now.

(06:55):
So Kirk Cousins taken over on the other side of
midfield in Jets territory. Alright, So here we go, Deshaun
Watson taking his first snap as the quarterback of the
Cleveland Browns. Obviously a lot of questions this week, and
he deflected all of them, saying that he is fully
focused on one thing and one thing alone, and that
is football. Much of the dismay of several people I

(07:18):
was reading columns across the country. A lot of people
just outrage this guy is even in an NFL uniform.
But again, they don't really understand how the business runs
in the NFL. So he is going to move forward. Uh,
Kevin Stevanski, they've been looking for some answers. Remember early
in the season, the Browns are playing decent football. Jecobie
Bricett was playing. Okay, they've fallen on hard times right now,

(07:40):
but it's gonna be just interesting to see how you
shake off the rust. I don't care how talented you are.
If you actually haven't been in a game situation for
almost two years, it's gonna take a while to get
back to speed. It'll take you a little while. But
he has the benefit of having arguably one of the
best running backs in the league. And we have a
touched down in Philadelphia Davante Smith's been in recent weeks.

(08:04):
By the way, Yeah, the the tennis the Titans gave.
I mean that looked like a run play. Was that
a shot shovel pass up the middle? No, wasn't. Yeah,
he just caught it over the middle. That was a
deep route, post route. Too easy. That was way too easy.
Oh my goodness, that is just a walk in touch.
It's just man to man defense defending the post. And
he had four steps on his defensive back, so that

(08:28):
is an easy pitching catch for Hurts and Smith. Eagles
on the board first. Alright, so that's our first touchdown
the day. Meanwhile, the Vikings have gotten a field goal
on their opening drive against the Jets. Of course, the
Jets made the switch to Mike White as their quarterback
last week. He had an incredible game. Seems like they've
already decided that this is the quarterback of their future.

(08:49):
So Jets will get the ball, trailing the Vikings by
a score of three to nothing. Meanwhile, Deshaun Watson uh
is getting uh he's under siege right now, ambling and incomplete.
Lions also get in on a Jamal Williams six yard
carry up the middle, so that is good for six.
They just tacked on the extra point. They lead seven

(09:12):
nothing over the Jacks visiting Detroit. Alright, Commanders on their
opening drive now have a second and goal on the
New York Giants four yard and I mentioned, maybe a
surprise a lot of people, the Commanders would be favored
on the road against a seven and four Giants team
but looking good on their opening drive. And how about
this the Broncos a field goal on their opening drive

(09:33):
on the road against the Ravens. The much Malone Russell
Wilson and this Broncos offense getting an early field goal
three nothing. Meanwhile, Deshaun Watson's opening drive produced absolutely nothing
and the Browns have had upunt. He is over two
passing to start this game. All right, we are just
getting started as always, you know the routine here on

(09:54):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We give you the scores,
we give you all the stats. This is the only
place you need to be for your NFL coverage. Keep
it right here on Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you
may admits Hurts fack Hurts looking still looking he is

(10:19):
going deep and it is talked about the Fonte spot touchbow.
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Well it's w i
P Eagles Radio Network. Eagles with the early seven nothing

(10:39):
lead against the Titles or five minutes into that game.
Welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We
are live from the tire rac dot Com studios. Hey,
let's hear a Lion score. Drop takes hands to Jamal
right side end zone, touch down to to Lions. That's
the way to start a ball game. To fit the takeaway,

(11:00):
the offense marches right down the field and they put
six on the board. W x y T FM ninety
seven one, the Ticket Lions Radio Network. Lions at home
have a seven nothing lead against the Jaguars. Jaguars, by
the way, are in the red zoner Detroit facing a
fourth and three. In fact, I look up right now
and they have kicked a field goal. So now Lions

(11:21):
lead this game by a score of seven to three. Uh.
Jacki's got the ball first, by the way, fumbled on
the second play, and then the Lions drove seven plays
thirty eight yards and capped it off with the Jamal
Williams plunge for the score. Who's been on fuego at
the goal line for the Lions. He's got a bunch
of tuddies this year al right. Uh. Speaking of dog games,
at least in terms of team records, the four and

(11:44):
eight Packers on the road against the three and nine Bears.
But the big story this week has been what are
the Packers going to do for the balance of the
season with Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers seemed to Indy Katie
was okay, if they are mathematically eliminated from playoff, intention
to sit it out so they can see what they
have with the the quarterback and waiting right now. I

(12:06):
think that's really mature of him. I think, first and foremost,
you've got to think about what's best for you and
what's best for the team. Should he play for Green
Bay or anybody else moving forward as his health, uh,
first and foremost, because Aaron Rodgers is still one of
the best quarterbacks in the league. He's just been playing
hurt all season long. Now, who gives you the best
chance anybody's best guess is that's still Aaron Rodgers. So

(12:30):
if you're in playoff contention, I agree with him, gut
it out, try to be there for your team as
much as you possibly can physically, and if you guys
get beat by the Bears, it should be the Jordan's
Love Show moving forward, well, guys, really quickly. Deshaun Watson
completed his first pass as a member of the Browns
to Schwartz, and then Schwartz fumbled it and the Texans

(12:53):
have the right. Okay, so he is on the board
one of three for fourteen yards right now. I I
have a real problem with this though. I mean, I
understand what you're saying, and you don't want to jeopardize
Aaron Rodgers. But Aaron Rodgers, because of this new contract extension,
really has control of his situation. The Packers were in
control pretty much whether they wanted to franchise Tagg a

(13:15):
member a couple of years ago. You know, we have
the theory he may never play again. I insisted, why
would he go anywhere the Packers control his contract. That's
no longer the case. He's in control. He's not movable
obviously because of the huge cap hit. Whether they trade
him or not, the Packers are tied to Aaron Rodgers
over the next couple of years. So again it's hard

(13:36):
to read into the Packers demise. Is it just injuries,
much like we discussed with the Rams, where it's an
aberration that could be back full strength next year and
they'll be okay. Or is there actual decline in the
game of Aaron Rodgers where you are overspending on an
old time legend and getting diminishing returns well, both are possible.

(13:58):
You just don't know. And the reality is he has
been playing with a broken thumb or or an injured thumb,
at very least on his throwing side um and now
with the ribs. I mean, we know this from watching
football over the years, I mean, especially this season. We've
seen it with Justin Herbert, We've seen it now with
Aaron Rodgers. You know, when you get banged up in

(14:20):
your mid section, that affects everything you do. So and
he's not a spring chicken. Justin Herbert in his third
year compared to Aaron Rodgers in what his twelfth is
twelve NFL season. I mean it just there's no comparison.
You've you're you. You become an accumulation of all those
hits that you've taken, and football is a war of attrition,
and the older you get, the more difficult it is

(14:42):
to weather those storms. So yeah, I I would I
would guess that it's more associated with his injuries rather
than the fact that he is actually declining. But we
don't know. We really don't know, and we may not
know until next season when he is as close to
our at a percent. Again, it is hard to believe

(15:03):
that this is his eighteenth yere Oh my gosh, now
again not as team Yeah, I believe it's let's see
tooth and five was his rookie Yeah, so let's see here.
Am I adding this up correct? Here? So this is yeah,
this is his season fifteen years of fifteen years as

(15:25):
a starter. So yeah, there's a lot of mileage on
that body. And as we've talked about in the past
with the Peyton Manning who had a renaissance when he
went to Denver, it's like, Wow, this guy will go
on forever, or that phenomenal season Brett Farve had late
in his career with the Vikings, like this guy is indestructible,
and then all of a sudden they literally fall off
the cliff. So we'll see what happens with the Packers
right now, trailing the Bears early in this game by

(15:47):
a score of three to nothing. Steelers have an early
field goal on the road against the Falcons, so they're
up three nothing that game. Jets have tied up their
game against the Vikings. This Jet situation with Mike White, who,
by the way, so far today is struggling. He's just
six of eleven forty six yards and he has thrown
up pick um. So he looked brilliant last week. And

(16:10):
this is what happened last year when he came in
where he had the historic first games at an all
time record for most passing yards in an NFL debut,
shipped off all his stuff to the Pro Football Hall
of Fame, and a couple of weeks later he got benched.
He did, So, where where do we stand? I mean,
if you're the Jets right now, obviously invested a lot
uh in a young quarterback that everyone seems to have

(16:32):
given up on was Zach Wilson. But do you do
you move on from him or do you just lets
to see how Mike White does the rest of the year. Uh, Well,
it depends on how he plays. If he plays really poorly,
and reports are that you know that Zack Wilson has
turned it around, that you know he's he's been a

(16:52):
better teammate, because I think that was the biggest issue here.
It wasn't just how poorly he was playing, but that's
a huge part of it. The other part of it
was a little accountable publicly he was taking and how
that landed with the rest of his locker room. And
then you heard you know from former players in New
York are current players in New York who said that
he walks around with a little bit of an air
of arrogance. And some people think that, well, that comes

(17:15):
with the territory, and other people say, you can't be
that guy if you're gonna be a leader in the team.
We have a Terry mccollin touchdown in New York. So
right now the Commanders have a commanding lead nine nothing
over the New York Football Giants. My friend, yeah, Taylor
Haneke so far six and nine sixties six yards and

(17:36):
that touchdown past mclauren Daniel Jones is one for one
for one yard. Um. So you know, I was saying,
why why are the Commander's favorite on the road against
the Giants? Well, early on we're fighting out. This Commander's
team is playing some pretty good football in a division
again where every team is at least two games over
five going into week thirteen. And by the way, Terry

(17:57):
mclauren is, in argue, one of the most underrated receivers
in the National Football League. I mean, this guy is
so dominant. He wins one on one, he wins against
double coverage, and he's been a big reason why this
team has been on a recent tear. Their last seven games,
they've won six of them. They've won six of them.
And then odd you know, in the schedule making, but

(18:19):
they play the New York Giants back to back. They're
gonna play him on the road here and then next
week they're gonna play him at home. It's just it's
just an oddity in the schedule making. So the fact
that the Commanders are playing this well, this early in
New York bodes extremely well because they're gonna be hosting
them in Washington in just a week's time. All Right,

(18:39):
we have another Lions touchdown, as it looks like we
have a touchdown pass right now, Jared Goff to mon
ra st Brown, and just like that, the Allions have
taken a third team to three lead, penning the extra
point against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is a Lions team,
by the way, after a horrific start this season with

(19:00):
their inability to win any close games. They they played
the Bills all the way to the finish line on
Thanksgiving Day, they had extra time to get ready for
the Jags. This is the middle of three straight home
games for them, but Hey, three wins prior to that
Bill's game. There's no doubt that Dan Campbell has been
able to hold this team together and they're playing good
football right now. He's definitely earned a chance to come

(19:22):
back next season. Yeah, I from what I understand from
people close to the Detroit Lions, there's no chance he
gets fired this season. They're gonna give him. They're gonna
give him time next year to see if the the plan,
Dan's plan takes full effect. But that's gonna be it.
You know, if this season starts or I should say,
if next season starts to go off the rails the

(19:43):
way this season did early, I don't really see him
surviving this season. He could be one of those mid
season firings, even though everybody loves him. The problem is
the NFL, like we're talking about with DeShawn Watson, it's
a bottom line business. You know, So talent plays. Are
you a talented head coach or not? Your wins of
losses explain that to everybody. Are you talented quarterback or not? Well,

(20:04):
if you are talented, you're gonna get a big contract,
regardless of what you are or not guilty of off
the field, because teams want to win. Lions get the
extra point fourteen three over the Jaguars. Meanwhile, the Texans,
after the turnover, get a field goal to take an
early three nothing lead over the Browns. By the way,
welcome to our Fox Sports Radio tailga presented by the

(20:26):

girl you'll ever own. Back by lifetime warranty rolled with

egg dot Com lifetime warranty free home delivery. That's Big
green Egg dot Com. All right, let's find out what
is trending right now. And well, she's part of this

(20:47):
team every single Sunday here Mons below is here. Yeah, yeah,
we're never sure when it's you and I don't even
know you live or that's the fun part, right, that's
the fun part. I'm trying to match it exactly like
the recording every time job well, very busy games, yeah,

(21:11):
which is better than nine. You know. Week one was
the one where I quit several times on air. And
it's fine, guys, I've survived now a games a breeze.
But the Lions have had a hot first quarter, two
touchdowns already against the Jaguars, and they're a fourteen to
three four minutes to go on the first leak score
another one if they want. And then the Bears they

(21:31):
just scored thanks to Justin Fields, so they're up on
the Packers ten zero. They just said that the Bears
have actually lost five straight games to the Packers in
double digits and right now they're up by double digits,
so three minutes to go in the first on that one.
The Steelers have a slight lead on the Falcons just
to field goal three zero is the score. Late in
the first quarter. The Jets and the Vikings are tied
with the field goal three apiece. Halfway through the first

(21:54):
The Commanders up on the Giants. Ten zero is the score.
Two and a half minutes to go in the first
of that one, and if onto a Smith put the
Eagles on the scoreboard first against the Titans, so they're
up seven zero late in the first as well. The
Broncos have a lead on the Ravens, but it's just
a field goal. Three zero is the score a little
over two minutes to go in the first quarter, and
the Texans are trying to spoil obviously Deshaun Watson's return

(22:17):
to the NFL. They're up by a field goal. Three
zero is the score halfway through the first But something
that is still trending is obviously the College Football Playoff
because it has been set. Georgia Michigan a TCU in
their first college Playoff appearance, and Ohio State will play
for the national championship. We'll all on December thirty one.

(22:37):
Back to you guys. Yeah, next same and still complaining
and still trying to make an argument that his Alabama
team should be in I would be complaining if I
was USC. What do you mean? Ohio State didn't even
go to a championship game? Alright, alright, you know what,
in two years, we're not gonna have to worry about
this because we're going to a twelve school playoff. Right,
come mony, Thank you so much. All right, let's get

(22:57):
ready now for a little preview of the upcoming game.
Betwe in the Dolphins and the forty Niners. No, it's
time for the NFL Fox Focus and graciously joining us
once again here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio as
Fox Sideline reporter Pam Oliver, who will be at that

(23:18):
game today and Pam has always we appreciate your input.
Let's talk about the fort Hey, Hey, how are you today, Pam.
Let's get right to this. Let's talk about the forty
Niner team that's rattled off four straight victories. Jimmy Garoppolo
is just doing what he does. Christian McCaffrey not putting
up huge numbers, but obviously an added addition to this

(23:39):
forty Niners offense. But where do you have the forty
Niners right now in terms of the NFC? Uh, got
the Vikings, obviously got the teams out of the NFC East.
Where do you think from a power ranking standpoint, the
forty Niners currently stand in the NFC? Wow, that's a
good question. Um, I think just based on their division,

(24:01):
you know, you would obviously say top four, not to
go out on a big limb there, but um, I
think the way they're playing right now, they are really
a hot team. You know. I think you just have
to look at just what they've accomplished and what's in
front of them. And you know, spent some time with
them the other day, and this is a team that

(24:21):
really wants to show that that you know, this game,
for example, right here is not necessarily something that's gonna
say who they are and what they are. They feel
like they're proving that. They're proving that every single day.
Obviously it's a big game, they want to win it,
but they do kind of feel that, hey, you know what,
we've accomplished a lot. Let's keep at it. Kyle's goutt

(24:44):
been playing really really well. The defense is co crazy good,
and you know, I think they're really in a good spot. Um.
I think they can really challenge some people coming up
and you know, go through that schedule that's upcoming and
it could speak some really good thanks for them. Yeah,
and then you look at the other side of this
matchup with the Miami Dolphins eight and three, a very

(25:06):
solid football team and offensively one of the classes of
the NFL. And it's led by to a tongue of Viola,
who had a lot of question marks on him off
this offseason, and his work with Mike McDaniel, former offensive
coordinator new head coach with the Dolphins has been really great.
You know. And that clip went viral last week and
I'm sure you saw it of Ta talking about how

(25:27):
Mike McDaniel really had an impact on him, sharing with
him how good he felt he was. Do you have
any further insight on his relationship with McDaniel and why
it's been such a special season for the rookie head
coach and his quarterback. Well, you use the perfect word,
and it's special. I think when somebody comes in and

(25:47):
they absolutely completely believe in you and you can trust that, um,
it just makes a big difference that you know. It's
it's no secret that everyone felt like Tua was really
beaten up lane for Brian Flores if there was not
enough positivity. There were all these questions and looking outside
and bringing in another quarterback, and that can't do anything

(26:09):
but damage your psyche. So I think it was a
gradual process, just building his kid up slowly but surely,
and then giving him the rain. He's such an efficient quarterback.
They don't ask the world oven, but what they do
ask he is, you know, has been delivering. So UM.
I just think that relationship is key to everything that's

(26:31):
happening with the Dolphins right now, and Mike, Mike McDaniel
is serious about just you know, loving on his players
and showing them a positive light and believing in these
guys wholeheartedly without feeling like he's got to criticize and
beat him down. And it's just not successful football. And
every individual is different. What works through one does not

(26:53):
work for the other. And I think McDaniel has just
hit a perfect chord. Alright. So Miami comes in on
a five game winning streak, but they a little banged
up on the offensive line. What is the status of
their offensive tackles for this game, Well, we do know
ones that we're waiting on to run. Armsteads Um. We
talked to the forty niners about if those both those

(27:14):
tackles are out of talk to Bosa about it. He said,
it doesn't really matter what's right in front of him.
He's gonna do his thing. Um. That's gonna be uh
storyline throughout the day because the two backups, they didn't
fare very well in their game last week against Houston,
so they're really gonna have to pick it up. It's
a tough challenge. Um, But Armstead said he's gonna try

(27:36):
to give it a go. I think he's doubtful as
far as that goes. So you know, the next man up,
as they say, and they've got a tough task ahead
him with that defensive line. Eric Armstead making his way back. Um,
so it's it could be a long day in terms
of protect him. To us, you look at this forty
Niner offense and you just go, well, Kyle Shanahan is

(27:57):
now spoiled, like he just has so many any places
to go with the football offensively Kittle and Deebo and
McCaffrey now and uh and Juice check. I mean this
this offense is loaded. When you talk to Shanahan, is
it difficult to Is it difficult to get the ball
to all those different players? There is not a challenge
that he's really happy about. It's definitely a great challenge.

(28:19):
If you're hot, you're getting the ball. If you're getting open,
you're getting the ball. He is he doesn't discriminate in
terms of that. He's like, if you're doing your job,
we're going to get you the football. It's up to
Jimmy of course to deliver it. And you know that's
another thing with Shanahan that this guy has got to,
you know, be more than efficient. Maybe he can raise
it another level, but he is so excited about those weapons. McCaffrey,

(28:42):
he could not praise him enough. When we talked to
Kyle the other day, Um, you know, some health issues
coming into the week. He had any irritation and we'll
have to see how that goes. They are with Depot
with the Bybrews. Mike was I'm sorry, Kyle was telling
us how much you know, they're gonna have to just

(29:04):
start a monitor what they do with him. They wanted
to use him in the run game, but with that injury,
he's not sure how much he's gonna be able to
do that. Well, Pama, by the way, is it gonna
be dry today? I know there's been a lot of
rainow in the berry. It's dry and sunny. Boys, Wow,
look at that mom. Well, mommy, have a great game

(29:26):
out there. We always love having you on. Thanks so much,
and enjoy the game out there today. Okay, take care Now.
That's Pam Oliver Fox sideline reporter work in that game.
Interesting matchup again, but I mentioned the fact that the
Dolphins could be without both of their offensive tackles and
at defensive front of the forty Niners could be feasting

(29:46):
and really putting some pressure onto a tongue of I lave.
All right, let's get you out date on some of
the highlights. Let's hear the latest from the Commander's Giants
break five pressure off the edge. Tikis throws back towards
Terry mcclord, who beats back, makes a catch of the
Tech gets away for goes in touchdown. Touchdown Washington. Alright,
so the Commanders right now with a tend a three lead.

(30:08):
By the way, I'm sorry, I just got to identify
here that was Big one Commanders Radio network. So ten
three lead over the Giants. I have been keeping an
eye on what's going on with Deshaun Watson and the Browns.
He had a nice completion on a scramble play that
put him in the red zone, and now he has
just thrown an interception. Houston leads this game by a

(30:30):
score of three to nothing. Deshaun Watson so far rich
four of eight fifty seven yards and now that one pick, well,
they're definitely not shying away from having him throw the
football around the yard. We're seeing that early in this game.
And that was a costly era for the Houston Texans
and DeShawn or excuse me for the Browns and Deshaun Watson.
It's so easy to remember the days when you were

(30:52):
playing for the Texans. Understandable, but yeah, throwing that pick
was in the end zone, and so I mean, this
is this is it? This is this is when you
know the field gets compressed and the windows are tighter.
This is when you're gonna see the rust is in
the red zone. Can DeShawn figure it out before the
end of the game today? We'll find out. But the
Texans have the lead so far, and we only got

(31:15):
three minutes left in the first By the way, guys,
really quickly. Tyler Huntley is now in the game at
quarterback for the Ravens. Lamar Jackson is in the tent
on the side. Oh boy, and this is a game
again where you figure, all right, Ravens home against the
pathetic Broncos should be a walkover game. All right? Now
the Broncos lead that game three nothing. I've had a
lot of field goals. Hey, Sam, give me another touchdown?

(31:36):
Off takes takes to get to William sets in the pocket,
looks quarter at the un All right. So that's w
x Y T FM ninety one the Ticket Lions Radio network.
Lions looking real good so far, leading the Jaguars four
teen three. That game has just come to the end
of the first quarter. Meanwhile, Bears doing a number on

(31:59):
the Packers. Here is your read option and what I
moved by? Fields breaks bread the fifty how away he goes?
Just that's gone, Patty ten five and zone he's done
it again. W BBM News Radio seven eight a M

justin Fields writ there Bears taking a ten nothing laid

(32:20):
against the Packers. He's three or four thirty five yards. Meanwhile,
fifty five yard touchdown run seventy one yards on the ground.
Aaron Rodgers really hasn't shown up. Maybe Aaron Rodgers is
anxious to sort of, you know, sign off on the
rest of the season. How many more losses do we
need to be mathematically eliminated than I can enjoy my
insane contract. I'm getting paid a whole lot of money,

(32:43):
and let that Jordan Love kid take over for a while.
By the way, Pittsburgh on the board again with their
second field goal of the day of the day, Matthew
right good from forty six and makes the score six
nothing in Atlanta over the Falcons. Right now, yeah, look,
I mean there's an argument to be made that bad seasons,
meaning losing record seasons, get much worse when you're hurt.

(33:04):
It is really difficult. Just asking Aaron Donald who had
an ankle thing. And I'm sure if the Rams were
in playoff contention he'd play through it. But he's on
the sideline today for the Rams, and the reason is
in part because they don't have a chance this year.
They played awful football. He's aware of it. It's hard
to play through injuries when your team's playing awful football.
So Aaron Rodgers maybe bow out at some point. Nobody

(33:25):
will blame him, and then it's the Jordan's Love Show. Well,
somebody might blame him, saying why you just don't you
go down with the ship. Uh, there's a lot of
quarterbacks that have suffered through bad years. I mean you
you play with a guy named Philip Rivers. He never
missed the start, no matter how bad his teams where.
He showed up for every single game. Just because I

(33:46):
have respect for one quarterback for being durable like that
doesn't mean that I disrespect the quarterback for having injuries
that ended up ending his season, you know what I mean. Like,
I'm not gonna say Aaron Rodgers is a whim. He's
clearly playing hurt and has been through the majority of
this season. All right, on the other side, we're gonna
get right back to more of the highlights happening around

(34:06):
the National Football League. We've got eight games going on
or right now, much more coming up later on today.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Hi, this is
Jay Glazer. And you may know me for the world
of football or fighting or even shows like HBO's Ballers.

when we talk about mental health, I hope to describe it,
give it words. Listen to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer on

there's a penalty marker in the ind zone. As Perks
went up, I think they have sickle touchdown Titan at
Berks took up brutal hit in the end zone and
a penalty marker has been thrown. Now back live to

(35:17):
the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red
Zone Radio. All right, that's w g f X one
or four point five Titans Radio Network. Touchdown stands. Eagles
and Titans tied at seven just the start of the
second quarter. They're welcome back. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. We are live from the ti iraq dot

(35:39):
com studios. The Giants have just scored on a s
Kuon Barkley thirteen yard run, so the extra point is
good and we are tied up now. Commanders and the Giants.
Big battle right now for almost survival. Uh. When we
look at the playoff picture around the NFC got that

(36:01):
stinking NFC South right now, or the Buccaneers with a
losing record are right now looking at a home playoff game,
and then he got the stack of winning records and
that NFC East. Uh, so you know you could be
on the odd team out unfortunately with a much better
record than a team that's gonna pason real quick. We

(36:22):
got a third and goal situation Houston, Texan and Kyle
Allen have an opportunity to go up here by a score,
but they just called the time out and the ball
was snapped anyways, A mile Garrett Okay, the whistle was blown,
was jogging with the football near midfield, so it looks
like they got the time out call. But every time

(36:43):
I look up, the Texans are in the red zone
against the Cleveland Browns. They lead three nothing over the
Browns hosting Cleveland here in Houston. But if they score
here and this is a ten knohing ball game, I mean,
all of a sudden, the Brown season is starting to
feel over. Well, the Brown season is over. I mean
this is audition time. They've got to get Deshaun Watson

(37:05):
up to speed, and early on in this game it's
it's been a mixed bag for Watson. That really nice
scramble completion, you know this capability, and he's rolling to
his leapt and a great pass to set them up
in scoring position, and then he threw an interception, so
he's he's just trying to get up the speed, understandably,
first time he has played in almost two years. Meanwhile,

(37:27):
the Giants are beginning to wake up. Jones over Santa
Barkley to Chaelbock Congens toup set light handoff Barkley touch down.
That is w fan Giants Radio Network. So with that,
the Giants have tied up the Commander's ten ten. It's
amazing you look at the Jets and the Giants. They've

(37:47):
really have been two of the big stories in the
NFL this year, both going to Week thirteen with identical
seven and four records, and yet still not a lot
of believers in these two teams. No, no, there's not
well in first and foremost of the Jets, it's because
of who their quarterback is, and it's Mike White now
who is unproven in this league, even though he's had
a couple of starts last year. He's onto a second

(38:09):
this season after a nice start last week. Um and
a great defense, and we know how this goes. You
can be very average with that. You could you could
be a very average team if you have a great
defense and you have an offense that can't produce, just
as the Denver Broncos. Just as the Denver Broncos. That's
exactly been the problem this season. Fourth and goal, Houston
Texans going for it from their own one yard line

(38:31):
and Kyle Allan throws a pass and it is knocked away,
so the Browns takeover turnover on down from their own
one yard line. There's a reason why this team is
one nine and one. I mean, if you're gonna make
a debut, Deshaun Watson, this is the right team to play.
So Browns will take over right now, deep in their
own territory, trailing three nothing to the Texans. Mean while

(38:51):
the Vikings have taken a ten three lead over the
Jets on a Dalvin Cook run, tend to three Vikings
over the Jets now thirteen minutes ago. And he mentioned
Mike White, who looked brilliant last week, not so much today.
Seven or four team fifty four yards and a pick.
So Mike White very much like last you know, you
get a little film on a guy. You get to,

(39:13):
you know, look at some tendencies defensively. All right, let's
hear that Vikings score and off to Galvin up the
middle tent, Galvin to the end zone, touchdown. Vikames Galvin
Cooks hate touchdown this season has given the Minnesota Vikings

(39:33):
a nine three lead. K FAM in Minneapolis and the
Vikings radio network make it tense three with the extra
interesting play in Philadelphia. So a j Brown runs a
double route, right, you know, it's kind of like an
out and up to the sideline. He absolutely ran over
the Tennessee defender. On his way to the deep part

(39:55):
of this route, Hurts finds Brown. Brown walks in all
by himself into the end zone. But they throw a
flag and so everyone in the building thought it was
gonna be O P I. And then I guess they
picked the flag up after the officials discussed it. A J.
Brown scores The Eagles are leading thirteen seven over the
Titans at home. I think that's the right call. I mean,

(40:16):
I don't think he intentionally, you know, he's looking outside
and then going up. He's not sure where the defender is.
That that is a good point. He kind of surprised him.
He was right over the top. But I mean he
big boyd that d back. So they have a thirteen
seven lead. All right, we are just getting star We
got a lot more coming up for all the NFL.

we saw the A. J. Brown touchdown, but then shortly
then after at break, we saw the Texans get a

(41:41):
safety against Cleveland. They kick off to the Texans huge return,
so it was a drive starting on Cleveland side of
the field. They're able to hold and it's fourth down
and the Texans are gonna punt, but pinning the Browns
deep again. Yeah right now, Deshaun Watson. Brown's trail in
this game by a score of five to nothing. Steelers

(42:04):
have a thirteen three lead on the road. Against the Falcons.
Can he pick it just to a touchdown? Pack Texans
just down the ball at the one yard line. So again,
Desheaan and this Brown's offense are gonna take over after
they're initially turning over the football and downs against the
Texans who are knocking on the door. They got the
safety against them. Now the Browns have it back on

(42:24):
their one yard Well, the last time they had the
ball was a straight handoff to one of the best
running backs in the league, Nick Shobb, and he got
absolutely stoned in the end zone for the safety. Uh
So let's see what they do here. Five nothing a
game that, honestly, we wouldn't even be talking about it
would not for the return of DeShawn Watson. And again

(42:45):
it's it's very early. I'm certainly not expecting anything great
out of John Watson today. He made surprise. We've had
plenty of surprises all season long, by the way, A
speaking of surprise, and can he pick it? Um? Who
where his gloves? Because he has small hands, uh to
hold onto the football. But you can see progress being

(43:06):
made in that Pittsburgh offense, like you have Nag Harris's
outstanding talent at running back. Today, Kenny pick his eight
nineteen yards and he has thrown this touchdown pass pick
an empty set first and fifteen. He throws the pass
down the middle. What a catch, And that is Carter
Howard reeling that pass hand for a seventeen yard touchdown,

(43:27):
the first of his career. W d V E one
or two five FM Steelers Radio Network. So the Steelers,
who come in with a four and seven record, lead
the Falcons by a score of thirteen to three. But
I think ultimately the Steelers made the right move in saying, look,
this is a first round pick quarterback. We're gonna probably

(43:49):
end our streak of non losing seasons. We can live
with that. We got to give this kid an opportunity,
and they're doing that with Kenny pick Yeah, they really
they really need to see what they have and pick
it because it's okay. So like, let's look at their record.
Where are the where the Pittsburgh's They are four and okay,
So imagine if they have a bad season this season

(44:10):
and they're not completely sold on Kenny Pickett. I mean,
we saw the Arizona Cardinals go right back into the
draft and get another first rounder. It's just not unprecedented,
especially when you take a guy lower down on the
draft board in the first round. This is gonna be
a really heavily stocked draft at quarterback. Could I see

(44:30):
it happen? Yeah? Do you need answers right now? Then? Yeah?
Has he played bad enough that you want to replace him? No?
But we'll see, all right. The Bears have scored again.
This is a David Montgomery score on the ground, and
they are running away from the Packers right now, sixteen
to three, penning the extra point. Justin Fields has been
outstanding seven and nine six yards passing seventy one yards

(44:55):
on the ground, including a fifty five yard touchdown run.
Aaron Rodgers is going to the motion seven or thirteen
seventy six yards no scores. So the Packers that already
on the road against a three and nine Bears team.
And remember, Aaron Rodgers owns the Bears. He has said
so many times, I own you, I own the Bears.

(45:18):
Right now, the Bears are owning Aaron Rodgers and the Packers,
which is not uncommon. This season, the Packers have been
a tough watch this Offense and defense both have been
struggling either to put up points or to stop teams
from scoring against them. And I mean, at the end
of the day, football gets real easy, easy when you

(45:38):
look at the scoreboard, when you just say, okay, who's
got more points? Right now? Well, the Chicago Bears are
leading by two scores early in the first half. They
have an opportunity to get the ball back before this
half ends. I mean, this could put away Aaron Rodgers season.
This could be it for him. It could become the
Jordan's Love Show from this point out. I just want

(46:00):
to update the Lamar Jackson situation. So he went out
with a knee injury. We still don't know about his
return in this game against the Broncos. Tyler Huntley is
in a quarterback doing a pretty good job seven and
eight fifty yards so far. Game hasn't had much action.
Three three. No surprise on the Broncos side because they
simply don't have an offense. But the Ravens right now

(46:21):
holding their breath to see what the latest is on
Lamar Jackson. It is some kind of knee injury. Well,
he took a big hit on a sack and that
is the problem with Lamar Jackson. And that is the
reason I would assume why there was disagreement on exactly
how much they should spend on Lamar Jackson's contract this offseason.
Is he was hurt for the first time last season

(46:43):
had a staggering effect on the Baltimore Ravens. Even though
Tyler Huntley I felt filled in pretty well. He's not
Lamar Jackson. But with Lamar Jackson comes a high risk
of injury for both for two reasons. One because he's
a slight framed athlete and two because is he really
puts his body in jeopardy the way he plays football.

(47:04):
It's it's difficult to trust that he's gonna be their
year after year after year, especially what we saw last season.
All Right, we have our first missed extra point of
the day. It's courtesy of Santos and the Bears. So
the Bears lead the Packers sixteen to three after the
missed extra point. Let's hear that Bear score feels in
the gun. Gotta give to montgom right boxing off to

(47:26):
the left side, Nice putt inside the fun struggling and
pulling his way hit into the end. Zode following through
Packers touchdown touchdown Bears. W BBM News Radio seven eight
a M. One of five nine FM Bears Radio Network.
So again, the Bears have dominated this first half so far,
leading the Packers by a score of six team to three.

(47:48):
Falcons have gotten a field goal and uh it is
now thirteen to six Steelers leading the Falcons. Lines are
looking good up twenty to three in their game against
the Jaguars. Right now, Vikings over the Jets ten to three.
Commanders have a thirteen ten lead on the road against
the Giants fourteen seven, Eagles over the Titans, Broncos and

(48:09):
Ravens tied at three and the Texans uh have five
nothingly over the Browns. Browns did get out of their deep,
out of their own territory. So again, all eyes are
on Deshaun Watson today. So far he is six of
ten seventy six yards. He has thrown an interception in
this game. Passable, I would say, so far. Uh and
just trying to again, trying to you could practice all

(48:30):
you won. Game speed is a different beast, especially as
a quarterback when you haven't seen game situation almost two years.
I'm sure his head is swimming, but just eyeball tests,
he's throwing the ball accurately and you could feel like
he's getting his feet right now. Well, yeah, I mean,
he's an elite quarterback who's had two years off, So
they're gonna be some good and some bad today, you know,

(48:52):
strictly talking about football, DeShawn Watson, once he gets up
to speed, he's going to be again one of the
best players in the league. It's not like he's old
and those two years off, a part of two years off,
really aged him. Now he's in the prime of his career.
And and for a dual threat quarterback, you can make
the argument that the fact that he's had some time
off to get healthy after everything he's done to his

(49:15):
body and health in uh in college and everything he's
done to his body in the pro level, may have
improved his longevity in this game. So we'll see again.
My guess is he's gonna be just fine in terms
of quarterback. The question is how reluctant will fan fans
be of the NFL and of the Browns to accept

(49:37):
the Shawn Watson's the starting quarterback again. Well, and I
remember we were talking about this specific game because we
already knew in advance when he looked at the schedule
that unless there was a hiccup along the way, this
was gonna be his debut game conveniently against his former team,
the Houston Texans in Houston. Um whether they might switch
the game out, Well, when you have a four and

(49:58):
seven team against a one, nine and one, they weren't
gonna put this in prime time, So I think this
actually works for the NFL quiet time. By the way,
they haven't shown any shots on the coverage that I've
seen of Buzby, the the attorney and the ten women there.
They're not gonna show any of that. By the way,
this Buzzby guy must be a hell of an attorney.

(50:18):
There are all kinds of photos on the Internet of
his twenty million dollar home. Has a twenty million dollar home,
so whatever he's doing is working for him. Why was
his home on the internet. I don't know. People are
like looking this guy up and found out that this
guy has a twenty million dollar home. That is creepy.
I I mean, unless he's doing a press conference from
his front lawn, that is bizarre. But yeah, look, I

(50:41):
mean he clearly represents high profile uh client or I
should say his clientele are sometimes the plaintiffs against high
profile people, so that is a way to make money.
There's no question about it. Um. You know, when I
look around the NFL today and I see the score
that makes me go huh the most is this Baltimore

(51:03):
Denver score. Like, even without Lamar Jackson, you could argue
that Baltimore should be leading this game. They're playing at home.
It's tied right now three all the second half has
thirty seconds left on or the first half has thirty
seconds left on the clock. Baltimore is on my fraud
alert list. They were before Lamar Jackson got hurt. Today
There's just something about this team. They lose at home

(51:27):
in ugly fashion. They lost the Dolphins and the Bills,
both at home. You look at their schedule, they just
I don't know. They're just a team that I do
not trust in the n f C. Who's at the
top of a lot of people's list as a playoff lock.
They're not for me. Well, the frustrating thing for the
Broncos is is there. They have a good defense. They've
only given up over twenty three points one time this year.

(51:48):
They just have zero offense. That's how disastrous Russell Wilson
has been and he's a disaster again today. They have
no offense but defensively, the Broncos are good, and we
knew that going into of the season. That was the
whole point. We got a defense and place got a
few pieces. Let's bring in a veteran quarterback and we're
gonna be a contender. They didn't envision that Russell Wilson

(52:10):
was going to be this in ft at the quarterback position.
All right, we're rolling on. We got games heading toward
halftime around the NFL. Eight games going on right now
for all the latest, keep it right here. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Oh, this is Fox Red
Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you may

(52:32):
have missed at the two on the put Donovan People's
joves back and back and catches at his twenty five. Now,
where is he gonna go? Tops right out of a tackle,
lot of another tackle? Thirty thirty five, forty forty five fifty,
he's down the sideline thirty thirty twenty dead ten. Fuck,
he's gone touchdown, Donovan Paples jokes and on one hit.

(52:57):
But Brad's take the lead back live to the studios
of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. Well,
that's Brown's radio network. Deshaun Watson had nothing to do
with that People's Jones did. So the Browns have a

(53:19):
seven to five lead over the Texans. Welcome back. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from
the Tirerack dot Com studios. Another team feeling good right now,
The Minnesota Vikings tanned off Madison Room to the ten
to the five Vikings kay fam Innneapolis and the Vikings

(53:41):
Radio network. No one believes in this Vikings team. Guess what.
They're up seventeen to three at home against the Jets
a little more than two minutes ago in the first
half in that game. But that was quite a run
there by People's Jones uh to give the Browns the
seven five lead. We got a good one brew in
in Philadelphia. The Titans are on the Eagles side of

(54:03):
the field, going in at the thirteen yard line after
a big pass from Tannehill tel comwo their tight end
facing a third and six against this pretty good Philadelphia
Eagles defense that has Jordan Davis back an tenne will
get sacked. That is a huge play man. That's a
coverage stack too. He had a lot of time in

(54:25):
that pocket. You have plenty of time and ate it.
So it looks like the Titans will settle for a
field goal attempt right now, four minutes and counting in
the first half of that game, Eagles lead the Titans
by a score of fourteen to seven. Meanwhile, the Broncos
got a field goal, So right before the half, it
is Denver leading the Ravens by a score of six

(54:46):
to three. The Ravens right now without Lamar Jackson. He's
out with a knee injury, so we're waiting on his return.
Uh and uh. Otherwise it's been a you know, the
pack is right now trying to get back in this
game against the Bears. We've got twenty three seconds to
go in the first half. There, Packers are trailing the
Bears by a score of sixteen to three. They face

(55:09):
a fourth and four right now at the Bears, and
we got a touchdown pass, a fourteen yard touchdown pass.
Aaron Rodgers is just throwing a touchdown pass to Watson. Uh,
Christian Watson on the receiving ends. So just like that,
we have a six nine game pending the extra point.

(55:30):
Saron Rogers showing a little life right there. Remember he
owns the Bears. Uh. They'll be trailing that they have,
but feeling a little bit better after that touchdown. Extra
point is good. Seventeen seconds to go in the first half. Yeah,
he did on that play. That is complete ownership because
Watson wasn't open. Threw him open in the end zone.
And Christian Watson, he is starting to come alive in

(55:53):
this league. I mean, this is somebody who the Packers
knew they were going to have to depend on at
some point this season. Didn't realize that it was gonna
be as much as they have had to target him.
But he's coming into his own, especially after the Romeo
Dubbs injury, it's really become all about Watson and he's uh,
he's been a great pass catching target for Aaron Rodgers

(56:14):
through this portion of the season, like the middle part
of the season. He's really woken up, all right. Titans
field goal is good. So they trailed the Eagles by
a score of fourteen and ten three and a half
minutes to go in the half. A couple of games
at the half right now, Commanders and Giants tied at thirteen.
It's been a terrific game so far. Taylor Haneke eleven
a sixteen yards, one touchdown, no picks. Daniel Jones ten

(56:36):
of eleven nineties seven yards, no touchdown, no picks. Story here, though,
has been the running game of the Giants. Sae Kwon
Barkley eleven carry sixty yards and a score, and Daniel
Jones really has proven to be an effective runner. He's
got eight carries for fifty six yards in this game.
But still it is the Commanders and Giants tied at

(56:57):
thirteen all. We're also at the half and that Broncos
Ravens game. We still have not been given a definitive
answer on any return from Lamar Jackson went out with
a knee injury. Tyler Huntley came in played well to
a thirteen eighty five yards, no touchdowns and no picks.
Russell Wilson pretty good for him based on what we've

(57:18):
seen so far this year. Ten of thirteen hundred, twelve yards,
no interceptions in this game, but no touchdowns at all.
Uh so far. Let's hear that latest Packer score, third
down snap, Rogers looking left, waiting, scrambles, right throws and
Watson's star corner. All right, So that's three the game.

(57:40):
W r n W Packers Radio Network. Aaron Rodgers now
twelve twelve yards, one touchdown, and no picks. Justin Fields,
by the way, on the other side for the Bear
seven and nine hundred twenty six yards, he's also run
for seventy yards, including eight fifty five yard touchdown run. Well, yeah,
you mentioned it about Daniel Jones and Justin Fields. It's
sort of the same elicks or makes both of those

(58:02):
quarterbacks look better. Daniel Daniel Jones is a true dual
threat quarterback. He doesn't look like it, but he is.
I can promise you that he is electric when he
gets into the open field, very similar to Justin Fields,
who's faster, by the way, runs a real four four forty.
He can make defenders disappear and eat his dust and
he did earlier in this game on a long rush

(58:23):
for a score. And um, that's been a big part
of what makes a the Chicago Bears offense really good
now and and be what what's made the New York
Giants offense when it's been good since Daniel Jones has
taken over at quarterback. That's that's been it. You know,
get him running, mix him into the run game, get
him on the edges of the defense, and move the

(58:45):
pocket bootleg passes, set up the play action with a
strong run game, which they haven't been able to for
years because of Barkley's injuries. But that's exactly what makes
this offense go in New York alright, one game hole,
So they have Steelers even the Falcons by a score
of sixteen six. This game is in Atlanta. Kenny Pickett's
played well ten of nineteen hundred forty five yards a

(59:07):
touchdown note pis Marcus Mariota not terrible nine at sixteen
hundred twenty two yards. A story here is where's car
Daryl Patterson? Three carries zero yards? I mean that the
rock he and he has no receptions in this game.
I'm looking it up. Was there any injury? I'm trying
to figure out why Car Daryl Patterson has been a

(59:28):
wall because he has been so dynamic for the Falcons
over the last couple of years. But as if thou
uh completely goose egged first half and that's the difference.
Twenty eight yards on the ground for Atlanta, ninety four
rushing yards for the Pittsburgh Steelers. So the steel is
that game by a score of sixteen to six. Getting
back to Russell Wilson and the Broncos situation, what are

(59:49):
you doing Denver. I mean you locked him up inexplicably
to that long term contract. So you know, even if
you try to get rid of this guy, like anyone's
gonna take that contract off of the hands. Plushing again,
take a huge cap it. You are locked in to
Russell Wilson for the next several years. And I wouldn't
say inexplicably, I wouldn't say that. This is beyond explanation.

(01:00:11):
This is what Russell and his agents wanted. If you
were going to trade for me, part of the deal
is you're going to get my contract done before the
season kicks off. Like that was I mean, we act
like you know, a trade occurs between a franchise and
another franchise. That's not true. There's the players agents get involved.
A player can block a trade, you know. So if
Russell Wilson goes to Denver, he needs to give that

(01:00:33):
move his blessings, and he did. And part of the
reason why he did is because his agents found out
that they were willing to give him a contract, a
big old contract. And at the time you could make
the argument at the time that it was a bargain.
The way it was structured. Um, it just didn't seem
like top of the market asking price for a quarterback,
and so they'd have some room to spend around Wilson

(01:00:56):
in Denver. But now it looks like an ankle weight
that's keeping you underwater, and it will next season two.
There's no way out of this. The best you could
do at the end of the season if you want
to appease your fan base is fire Nathaniel Hackett, which
I'm sure they'll do, and you move on to next
year with the hopes that whoever you hire a head coach,

(01:01:17):
and I would assume they'll hire an offensive minded head
coach to try to fix what's wrong with Russell Wilson
this offseason, that it looks better next year because there's
no getting out of this. Nobody's gonna want him. Um,
and you've leveraged your future with the draft picks you
sent to Seattle to pay for him, and um, this
team is underproduced ever since he's been a quarterback in Denver. Well,

(01:01:37):
there's an offensive buying a coach named Sean Payton out there,
and I don't know if you want to hitch his
wagon to an aging Russell Wilson, but he might if
you give him total control. Is that the kind of
guy you want to give total control? Under percent control
of personnel moves and everything else, Sean Payton, You're gonna
hand complete right, that's what he's looking for right now.
Now again, he would prefer to hitch his wagon to

(01:01:59):
a Kai Murray justin Herbert than a Russell Wilson. But
it doesn't make anything if you make an incredible deal.
Remember new ownership in Denver. They have no connection directly
to John Elway. They may decided to go in a
whole different direction. But you Walton family has got a

(01:02:20):
lot of money. Yeah, all that's true. That's great, But
you'd be working with Russell Wilson after this season. Now,
if you fix them, you're gonna get a ton of
credit in this league for fixing what looked unfixable this season.
But I mean, there's gonna be better opportunities out there
for Seampaigne. He basically can pick his job. I don't
think that's his job. He picks well. I've been told

(01:02:41):
by some people though, he wants total control, and there
aren't a lot of teams willing to do that. So
we'll see how it all plays. But I'm with you
on Nathaniel Hackett. How he survives the season? Uh, doesn't
make any sense, especially with new ownership of the Denver Broncos.
Let's find out what's trending right now. Well, by the way,
before we do that, I want to day this while
Monsey is here. I want to welcome you Monsey to

Have you ever seen riches barbecue exploits? You never saw

(01:03:28):
the flame thrower video of us? No? Yeah, I should,
I should show that to you a sap. Yeah. We
cooked the steak in the parking lot of our radio station. Yeah,
using a flamethrow that I bought on the internet. It
was early, early in the morning, like when it was
still dark and nothing beats morning ribbos. And it was

(01:03:51):
so delicious. How early are we talking? It was in
the four o'clock shows six, So yeah, it was it was.
It was very early in the morning. You can see
me in the background, just like whoa, the posto didn't
show up right busted by the fuzz. But then they

(01:04:11):
would have been like, oh, it's rich Ard Vergeran's department.
It's fine, it's fine. Would have definitely given over the stage.
We did this for you guys. Thank goodness. You're welcome
to the Big Green Egg barbecue. All right, So we
have a games going on right yeah, most of them
are at halftime approaching halftime. But dare I say it

(01:04:32):
is Jared Goff the m v P so far, I
mean day. He's completed eighteen of three passes two hundred
and four yards and a touchdown as the Lions have
been all over the Jaguars this first half. Twenty three
to six is the score? Can you pick it? You
mentioned also having a pretty good game for the Steelers,
as he's leading them past the Falcons sixteen to six

(01:04:52):
at halftime, the Bears over the Packers. Packers had a
slight scare. Aaron Jones had to exit the game for
a little bit with a shin injury and he was
question but then he came back in and the Packers
have scored a touchdown, but the Bears are still beating
them six to ten. Vikings have been all over the
Jets as well. Twenty to three is the score. We
got a tie game between the Commanders and the Giants,

(01:05:13):
tied at thirteen apiece, and the Eagles do have a
slight lead on the Titans, although they are knocking at
the door. Fourteen to ten is the score. One minute
to go in the first half of that one, and
the Broncos and the Ravens a bit of a snore fest.
We've got three field goals, that's it. But the Broncos
are up six to three and the Browns do have
a lead on the Texans seven to five. But as
you mentioned, Deshaun Watson definitely looks rusty in this game

(01:05:36):
in his first game back. A little bit of soccer news.
I know you love that it's zero zero right now
between England and Senegal in the knockout round. But earlier
today France did eliminate poland they outscored them three to one.
As the World Cup continues, back to you guys. And
by the way, the Eagles have just scored again on

(01:05:57):
a Jalen Hurts run, so he is fifth, fifteen yards,
two touchdowns note picks and now has just run in
a score. So this guy, uh, definitely. In the m
v P conversation, Eagles lead by a score of one
to ten, Ryan, I understand that Trevor Lawrence is banged up.
What's going on there? Yeah, he got sacked and on

(01:06:19):
a play and his his his left leg was kind
of twisted up by the defender. It didn't look great.
Apparently he was able to get up and walk off
the field on his own power. But he is in
the locker room with the left leg injury. All right.
So the half it's been all Lions leading the Jags
by a score of twenty three two six. All right,

(01:06:39):
So we got all these games at halftime right now.
As Monsly just mentioned, we got some interesting games coming up.
I want to get back to the Super Bowl champion Rams.
They are six and a half point underdogs at home
today against Seattle. I mean, if you had looked at
this game projected it before the season began, you would
assume the Rams womby I don't know, to touchdown favorites

(01:07:01):
against one of the worst teams in the league. Geno
Smith has been one of the big stories obviously around
the NFL, but equally a big story is the complete
collapse of the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
They're banged up right now. They're playing awful, uninspired football.
Three and eight on the season, and here they are

(01:07:21):
huge dogs at home against the Seahawks. Yeah, and I'm
I wonder what Bobby Wagner is thinking right now, because
he was with the Seahawks and then, of course, um
he was released and signed by the Rams. This is
the first time he's playing against his former team. UM
six time All Pro linebacker, super Bowl winner with the
Seahawks on a team where I'm sure in the preseason,

(01:07:43):
like you were just talking about, thought he had a
real chance of getting back to the final game of
the season. And he's looking at this record now and
looking at the record of the team he came from
and going, how did this happen? How did this happen?
Because the Rams look on that defense, they're starting to
show signs that guys are not given up. I don't
want to question Aaron Donald's toughness, but I mentioned this earlier. Yeah,

(01:08:07):
he's been dealing with the lingering ankle injuries. Taking today
off now obviously we may see him later in the season.
Maybe not. When a team's really good, you don't miss time.
If you can play, you play when a team's this bad.
And by the way, a guy who has never missed
a start in his career, um, all of a sudden,
it sort of feels like the white flags are growing

(01:08:29):
up in l A. Well, I'll tell you one team
definitely rooting for the Seahawks today. That would be the
Detroit Lions because they own the Rams first round pick
that was part of the Matthew Stafford deal. So the
Lions pretty good, right, I mean, this could be the
way it's going for the Rams right now. This could
be a top five pick. It's gonna be belonging to
the Lions. By the way, the Rams have no fourth

(01:08:49):
round pick. They gave that up for Sony Michelle. Remember
the whole idea, we're playing for now, and it worked beautifully,
could not have worked any better. Who were rewarded with
a Super Bowl win a year ago. But they have
gotted their drafts and so right now, trying to rebuild
this team, they need a lot of help and a
lot of positions. They need a running back, they need
an offensive line, they need a lot of help right now.

(01:09:11):
It's gonna be tough. In the draft. They have a
second round in the third round, pick no fourth, no fifth,
no first. So we'll see where the Rams go from here.
Another game coming up, Chiefs on the road against the Bengals,
a rematch of last year's a f C championship game,
the inexplicable second half collapse at home by the Chiefs
as the Bengals came back great defensive effort get themselves

(01:09:32):
to the Super Bowl. Do you buy into revenge at
all in the NFL? I mean, are you is this?
And again this game is in Cincinnati, but are you
buying into uh in a long NFL season singling out
a game? Yeah? So you've mean the Chiefs of circle
this game since they saw the schedule. Oh yeah, Like

(01:09:52):
there there are these feelings that you like that don't
go away. Especially look the majority of the star player
for both of these teams are back. You know. There
there is this feeling I'm sure for Kansas City Chiefs players, fans,
the coaching staff that they didn't they didn't get beat.
They lost that game, and they want to prove just

(01:10:14):
how good they are. So let's go to Cincinnati this
time around. Let's embarrass them in front of their home fans.
And that's the way coaches talk to players too. You
set it up to make your players froth, you know,
at the opportunity to get a little revenge. And the
yeah revenge one hundred percent is a tactic used to
motivate a team in the NFL Chase. Her a slight

(01:10:34):
favorite on the road, two and a half point favorite
against the Bengals team that is playing good football. Remember
they lost two games to open the season. They've won
seven of nine sins. Let's hear that Eagles latest score
hurtas looking, hurtas running, hurtas scoring. Yeah, very good. You
don't have to say much more there, w i B

(01:10:55):
Eagles Radio Network. Once again, Jalen Hurts putting on his show,
uh and fact right before they have he's strown for
two nine yards and two scores. He has also scored
that run on the run there. So when we talk
about m VP right now, are there really only two
guys in the conversation? Is it Mahomes and Hurts? Am
I missing any mean to? You know, he's got to

(01:11:18):
be in the conversation and he's leading the league, not
only in passer rating but also total quarterback radio. If
he didn't miss the two games with the concussion that
he missed, you gonna argue that he'd be the runaway
favor right now for the award because of how valuable
he's been to this offense. And actually, I think it's
a better argument to be made when you see an
offense how much it struggles without the player in season,

(01:11:40):
and how much better they look when that player returns.
And you got that opportunity with the Miami Dolphins. When
they went to their bench and it was Bridgewater and
Skyler Thompson, the offense looked pedestrian. And then when two
came back with his accuracy and his command of the offense,
they looked much better. And he's been incredible this season. Alright,
one game already into the second half, Giants and Commanders,

(01:12:04):
and on their opening drive of the second half, Isaiah
Hodskins is on the receiving end of a Daniel Jones
passed right there, touchdown Giants. So they lead at nineteen
a thirteen, waiting on the extra point. This is a
huge battle in the NFC East. You've almost feel like
the winner continues on toward hopefully a postseason appearance, whereas

(01:12:25):
the loser it's gonna have an uphill climb. Well, I
wouldn't go that far because right now, you know the
the NFC, it's not it's let's put it this way.
Whoever loses this game, they lose pace in the division,
which the Eagles really have complete control of. But I
will say this, like your playoff hopes aren't dashed if
you dropped seven and six or seven and five respectively

(01:12:48):
for these teams. All right, so let's look at the
NFC playoff picture right now. So the way it stands,
your four division leaders are the Eagles, the Vikings, the
forty Niners, and of course the five and six Buccaneers
here while cards are the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Seahawks are
sitting there so and honestly below them that you look
at the Falcons, Lions, Packers, I don't look you're right?

(01:13:09):
I mean this. I guess like today is a huge
game for Seattle. You're on the road against the Ramps.
Win that game, now they go belly up today, then
it's almost like, all right, Seattle is who we thought
they were? Right? Yeah, if if they find a way
to lose to the Rams, who know who nobody should
lose to right now? Then then you can say with

(01:13:29):
some certainty that the Seahawks, whatever whatever the shine was
that was on them to start the season, is officially off.
Uh And and we're getting to see maybe what I'm
not gonna call the fluke because Juna Smith played really well,
Kenneth Walker played really well, that defense played really well,
and they won a lot of close games too. But um,

(01:13:51):
but I will say that maybe the first half of
the season was more of an admiration than we thought. Um,
but we'll see. I mean, they should beat the Rams.
I I'm going to guess they beat the Rams today.
I see no signs of life from the Rams over
the past couple of weeks, and it's only getting worse.
Like I said, with Aaron Donald leaving UH with plans
to return in a couple of weeks, but not gonna

(01:14:12):
be on the field for this defense. Alright, So one
game kicked off the second half others to come. Keep
it ride. Here for much more of what you need
to know around the NFL. This is Fox Sports Red

Giants the Commanders twenty to thirteen seven a half minutes
ago in the third quarter in a game. Welcome back.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live
from the ti iraq dot Com studios and a few
games at the half of the games have moved on
to the third quarter. One game that has the Broncos
and the Ravens. Have we got any update Ryan on

(01:15:17):
this situation with Lamar Jackson. Is he expected to return
or is he done for the day? Again, I think
Tyler Huntley is still in a quarterback so I gotta
guess Lamar's done for the day. Uh he had some
level of knee injury. Uh. Any updated on out alright,

(01:15:39):
So we don't know how serious the injury is, but
he's definitely gonna be gone for the day, which is
not good news because online's face it, this is game
was considered a lock over game for the Ravens at
home against the pathetic Broncos team. But right now it's
the Broncos leading this game by a score of six.
It's remain while we just started the second half now
Cleveland on the road against the Texans. Brown's lee had

(01:16:00):
seven to five on the People's Jones punt return and uh,
of course this has been the big return game for
Deshaun Watson. So far. He is nine of fifteen a
hundred five yards. He has thrown an interception this game.
He hasn't been great, but he hasn't been terrible. He
looks like a guy predictably having not played in a
couple of years, just feeling his way out there. Offensively,

(01:16:24):
it's been pretty much a zero at least scoring wise,
or only scoring a punt return. But he's moving well.
You know, he seemed to be moving well. He's had
a good sense of the pocket. They've been putting pressure
on him, but you can see the kind of things
that has always made Shaun Watson a special quarterback, going
back to his legendary career at Colempson. Part of it

(01:16:45):
is just that pocket awareness, finding time to make things happen. Yeah. No,
he's always been excellent improvising, taking a bad looking player,
or a team where or a play where you know
your wide receivers are all covered and using evasive maneuvering
in the pocket, either to keep the play alive in

(01:17:06):
the pocket, or getting outside the pocket and finding someone downfield,
or creating with him with his legs. He's an athlete,
and uh, he's obviously an athlete first, but he's also
a really smart quarterback. He understands defenses what they're trying
to do to him. He understands offensively how they're trying
to attack the defense. Not every dual threat quarterback has that.

(01:17:27):
Some of them are more reliant on their ability physically
rather than under having a fuller understanding of the game.
Having said that, this does not come without some controversy,
because every time it's type DeShawn Watson in on Twitter
or on Google, you're reading editorials or tweets about how
distasteful it is that the Browns did what they did

(01:17:49):
in the first place, that Deshan did what he's alleged
to have done in the first place, and um that
they're still moving forward with him playing this season. It's
it's gonna be that way for the Red the year
for the Browns. Well I want to follow by one
of your comments. He said, he's a smart quarterback on
the field, smart guy off the field, and I don't know,
I know his his his football, i Q is off

(01:18:11):
the charts off the field. There's some questions, some questions
about some of his decision making to say the very least.
All right, So right now it is the Browns leading
the Texans by a score of seven to five, and
Deshaun Watson has driven the team to midfield, so they're
on the move a little bit early on um impressive
teams so far in the first half. One absolutely the

(01:18:33):
Detroit Lions, a team that had their three game winning
streaks snapped on Thanksgiving Day in a very competitive game
and three point loss to the Buffalo Bills. But they're
back at it today. Jared goff is twenty two or
thirty five yards and a touchdown. Let me ask you
this about the Lions because we mentioned the fact that

(01:18:54):
they own the Rams first pick on the draft this year.
If the Rams really bottom out, as it looks like
they will, it's gonna be a very high pick in
the draft. A year ago, they took Aiden Hutchinson with
the second overall pick in the draft. So you look
at the Lions right now with Jared Goff. Okay, now,
remember the Rams had to giveaway draft capital just unload

(01:19:16):
Jared Goff. But is is Jared Goff done enough for
the Lions to say, you know, we're gonna have some
premium picks. Let's build around Jared Goff as opposed to
turning the page from Jared. Uh. You you what you
do is you offer him up for trade. You get back,
you get back even more capital on this because remember

(01:19:37):
the Rams gave you a first round to take Jared
Goff contract. So you look around the NFL and you
see if anybody wants to give you a pick, you know,
second round pick for Jared Goff for what he's done,
what he's been, and uh, you move on from him,
and you go and you grab yourself big time quarterback
because again you know that Rams pick is gonna be

(01:19:58):
awful high and and I think that's probably the finishing touches.
Offensively and then defensively, you need to get better. This
team just gives up points and points and points. They're
not today they're doing a nice job against the Jags,
but over the course of the season, that defense has
been a sieve. I can't. I look at Jared Goss
numbers and they're they're not bad percent completion. This year's

(01:20:20):
seventeen touchdown, seven picks. He's had a hot day today.
You talk about high picks. This guy was the number
one overall pick in the draft. He had back to
back Pro Bowl seasons. He led a team to a
Super Bowl. You want to start all over at quarterback
if you're the Detroit Lions. He's a younger Kirk Cousins. Okay,
so I I at a certain point you have to

(01:20:40):
make a decision on your quarterback in the future of
your offense, and I think they're going to do that
this offseason. All right, busy day in the NFL. Eight
games going on, much more to come. Keep it right here.

should be. The Cleveland Browns of now extended the lead
fourteen to five over the text as you're like, hey,
Deshaun Watson, No, it's not Deshaun Watson. Earlier they had
a seventy six yard punt return for a touchdown by
Donovan People's Jones and now a four yard fumble recovery
return for a touchdown Denzel Ward. They're not doing much offensively,

(01:21:49):
but this Texans team is showing the whole world exactly
why they have the worst record in the NFL. They're
just so so poorly coached, and they don't execute situational football,
you know, the coverage unit giving up a touchdown and
then coming off your own own goal line fumbling the football.
I mean, it's just inexcusable. I think this actually has

(01:22:11):
happened recently. It was Josh Allen who fumbled against the
Minnesota Vikings, uh, you know, to force the overtime game
that later led to a Vikings win over the Bills.
But when you're coming off your own the ball security
is everything. That's the only thing that should be discussed
on the sideline. Hey, center, snap needs to be perfect,
you need to you need to hold that. But we're

(01:22:33):
just trying to get a yard. We're just trying to
get some space just so we have a little bit
more room to sneak in a run play or pass
play on the upcoming snap. Um. Meanwhile, New York, I
think settled for a field goal. Yeah, so it'll be
twenty to nine in Minnesota, leaving leading at home against
the Mike White New York Jets. Mike struggling today a

(01:22:55):
little bit. Yeah, hunting forty seven yards in a pick,
no touchdowns, three field goals, that's all that can muster
against the Vikings. Meanwhile, we also have an update here
on the Broncos. They've added a field goal. They now
lead the Ravens by a score of nine to three.
More highlights here, Sam call, he's got a quarterback stick

(01:23:16):
in and he just dives over the pile loose Pard
picked up by dee Ward. Touchdown. No, you're just talking
about that's Brown's radio network. So walk in touchdown on
the fumble return. Brown's lead the Texans by a score
of fourteen to five. You're talking about this Ravens team
without Lamar Jackson. He's out with a knee injury suffered

(01:23:38):
earlier in the game. They have three points. We have
four minutes left in the third quarter. Yeah, it's again.
I mean, the Broncos defense looking very good, very good defense.
But this is one of those games with Russell Wilson's like, wow,
I really don't have to do much of anything and
we might win the game. And they haven't done much
of anything. He's thirteen of six, sixteen hundred twenty eight yards,

(01:23:59):
no touchdowns, no picks. But the Broncos lead by a
score of ninety three. Meanwhile, the Bears and the Packers,
I know the Bears found themselves. They have a third
and goal right now, Bears leading the Packers by a
score of sixteen to ten. Aaron Rodgers through a touchdown
pass to Christian Watson right before the half. That's cut

(01:24:20):
the score to sixteen to ten. But the Bears have
come back. Now with three minutes to go in the
third quarter, and it looks like they have a third
and goal. Third and goal for the Bears right now,
try and extend their lead. Yeah, look, justin fields down
near the goal line is dangerous football player. But their

(01:24:41):
third and goal from the Packers, what twenty four yard
line due to penalties, and he's under pressure and decides
to keep it himself, throws down field and it's it's
well short of the goal line. So that's probably gonna
be the twelve yard line. My guests, Bears are gonna
settle for the field goal. Here go up nineteen ten
at home against the Packers. Yeah, and none of that

(01:25:02):
fourth down stuff. We were talking about this before the show.
Going back to that Pack twelve championship game USC in Utah,
much was made, obviously of the injury to Caleb Williams
and his effectiveness. Certainly running the ball was hurt. But
you had a seventeen to three lead in the first
half and a fourth and eight in your own territory
and you went for it. Utah stopped the play, went

(01:25:24):
down and scored, scored again by halftime at seventeen all,
and you're like, try to figure out the justification of
going for it on fourth and eight in your own
territory with a two touchdown lead. Really quick. We have
a A J Brown touchdown in this Eagles Titans game,
they lead now in Philadelphia. A J. Brown second receiving
touchdown of the game. I don't know why they keep

(01:25:46):
insisting on single covering him, but that was a gorgeous pass,
a gorgeous catch by a J. Brown, well covered and
just got his hands out in the nick of time
to be able to grab this one, get both feed
in before falling out of bounds. Extra point coming. Yeah,
the Eagles have dominated this game. They have looked outstanding.
They are definitely living up to their hype right now

(01:26:09):
of currently the team of the best record. But now,
this is something in the NFL the last couple of
years is you know the reason that we see most
teams kick on fourth down? It's risk reward. I mean again,
you're up by two touchdowns. I'm talking about USC. What's
the reward if you got a first down, you suddenly

(01:26:29):
get you top back in the game, which is exactly
what happened. Yeah, and they lose that game eventually. I'll
say this, you only make a decision like that if
your punters hurt, like unless unless you you have somebody
who's physically unable to flip the field for you. There's
really no excusing that. I I just look there are
a lot of questionable decision making uh happening on fourth

(01:26:51):
down in both collegiate and NFL football right now, and
I think it's gonna come back to bite a lot
of these coaches because owners don't think lost is are cute.
Donors at the collegiate level don't think losses are cute,
especially losses that knock you out of the playoffs, So
don't make a habit of making decisions like that. By
the way, if you're wondering why we haven't talked about

(01:27:14):
this Pittsburgh Steelers Atlanta Falcons game, UH Steelers leading nineteen
to six in Atlanta, is because it's only been field
goals except for one Connor Heywood uh catch from Kenny
Pickett in the second quarter. Other than that, it's been
matthew Wright for the Pittsburgh Steelers kicking field goals and
Young Wai Coup for the Atlanta Falcons kicking field goals

(01:27:35):
for the rest of the point scored today. Well, two
games today that featured teams on both sides they had
winning records, Titans, Eagles and the Jets Vikings the home
teams here. The Vikings and Eagles have looked good um
and These are the teams of the two best records
right now in the NFC. We can talk about, you know,
the forty Niners on the rise, that got the Cowboys,

(01:27:56):
got the Giants, got the Commanders in the mix Seattle
as well. This is of a day when you you know,
if you weren't a believer in the Vikings or you're like, well,
the Eagles may not be as good as a record.
Those are two teams that have shown up here in
Week thirteen. Yeah, I've heard a lot from a lot
of people that they don't really trust the Eagles, And
I'm like, why why? I I look at Jail and

(01:28:17):
Hurts and I and I I see a winner. I
see a leader. I see a guy who, yeah, maybe
still a little unproven at the NFL level, hasn't hasn't
driven a Ferrari yet at this level like he is
this season. Um with some of the talent they have
around the offense and the defense this year, But I
I trust that guy. I look at a I look
at a guy who can handle uh close game. He

(01:28:41):
can handle putting teams away at the end of games.
He's He's come back in one a bunch already as
a young quarterback in this league. I'm a believer in
Jailen Hurts. I'm a believer in what Nick Sirianni has
done with this offense since becoming the head coach there
in Philadelphia. And this is an inspired football team. This
year interesting with the Vikings right now. So coming into today,

(01:29:02):
eight of their nine wins we're by eight points or less,
in other words, one score games. This has not been
the mm O for Kirk Cousins throughout his career. He's
been losing most of those games, and yet this year
they're winning all those games. They had the blowout loss
of the Cowboys today, Kirk Cousins has been very pedestrian
fifteen and twenty seven, only a hundred four yards passing,

(01:29:25):
no picks, no touchdowns. They're getting it done on the ground.
Dalvin Cook has sixty night yards and a score in
this game. But sometimes you find one of those years
where the balls bouncing your way, and that has been
the Vikings this year. I mean, you get a blowout
loss against the Cowboys forty three are likely. You can't
be very good if you lose like that. Um, but

(01:29:47):
they're winning the close games right now. They're in control.
Actually the Jets are getting the ball back right now,
trailing this game by a score of twenty nine, plenty
of time left, seven minutes to go. The Eagles o
keep rolling. Hurts back pumps, looks he has floated at
deep J Brown who has it took at a score?

(01:30:07):
J Brown tuck it away from prey A Brath at
score of touchdown of the game. W i P. Eagles
Radio Networks. So I'll give you some stats on the
Eagles this game so far. They're one of four in
terms of third down efficiency. Not good. Uh, they've committed
nine penalties for sixty yards. Not good. But they've been

(01:30:30):
able to make plays like that. They and and Jalen
Hurts his passing accurately. He is twenty two of twenty
nine with three thirteen through the airs. Uh, he hasn't
thrown a pick. And he's thrown those two touchdown passes
to a J. Brown now, and that puts you ahead
in an ugly game. They're not playing well in third down,
they're get they're committing too many penalties, and they're still
leading this game by eighteen and there's only well, there's

(01:30:54):
plenty of time left, eleven minutes left in the third quarter.
But still this is they're they're beating the Titans, who
are good football team, soundly, and they just sacked Ryan
Tannehill on the second in any play for the Titans. Yeah,
the problem for Tennessee is very obvious. When they trail,
they take Derrick Henry out of the game. Rrick Henry
today has nine carries twenty five yards. His longest run
today six yards, so immediately the Eagles took him out

(01:31:17):
of the game. Now that they're down eighteen, the Titans
are not going to be running the ball with Derrick Henry.
They're gonna have to win it with Ryan Tannehill's arm,
and that usually has been a recipe for a disaster.
Just came back to Eagles momentarily. You mentioned A J.
Brown on the receiving end of two touchdowns. Davante Smith
also on the receiving end of a third touchdown pass
from Jalen Hurts, And this is a guy Davante Smith

(01:31:38):
has been pretty quiet in recent weeks, but today five catches,
a hundred two yards and a score. So you know,
the big question is with A G. Brown, how much
impact was he gonna have on the Eagles offense? And
they're passing attack, the answers, He's had a lot uh
and then you already had Davante Smith there. So this
is an Eagles team that can beat you in a
lot of different ways. Their sound defensively, they have a

(01:32:01):
quarterback that just continues to grow immaturity, in confidence running
the ball, throwing the ball. I don't see any stop
in the Eagles right now. If if they can stay healthy,
the Eagles will probably head to the postseason as having
the whole field advantage team to beat if you want
to get to the Super Bowl. Yeah, and you look

(01:32:21):
forward to the rest of their schedule after this, they
go on the road to New York to face the Giants,
who's been a good team having a good season this year,
on the road to face the Bears, on the road
to face the Dallas Cowboys, and back to back to
back weeks. I mean, it's gonna be a tough stretch
for the Philadelphia Eagles to finish out their season, and
then they host the Saints and the Giants to finish

(01:32:42):
things up in Philadelphia through Week eighteen. Is it is
it easy? No? But are they going to be one
of the more battle tested teams if they survived that
gauntlet with with a double digit winning record. Yeah, that's
that's going to be a team that you're going have
to consider a Super Bowl favorite. Tyler Huntley going along

(01:33:04):
in the end zone, just threw a pick to the
Denver defense, so Baltimore with a chance to score. Denver
takes over at their own twenty alright, and the Falcons
have scored as well, So they're now trailing the Steelers
by a score of nineteen to thirteen. Jaguars get a
touchdown two point conversion. Trevor Lawrence is in the game
for the Jags, so fortunately his injury wasn't as serious

(01:33:26):
as it may have looked. Line still lead that game
big thirty fourteen. The Texans have had a field goal.
They still trail the Browns by a score of fourteen eight.
All right, rolling into fourth quarters around the NFL, right now,
keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the

(01:33:50):
place that you may admits to the left side that
ball is gonna be caught. That's a touchdown. Have it
ain't room? Stop at to e t n. He hands
the ball to Trevor, who hands it back to Agnew
who's gonna run an in on a reverse. Now back
live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is

(01:34:12):
Fox Red Zone Radio. That is w j x l A,
M ten ten FM N five Jaguars Radio Network. You
heard a touchdown and two point aversion, but it's a
steep client for the Jags right now, still trailing the
Lions by thirty to fourteen. They are heading into the
fourth quarter. Jared Goff has had an outstanding day and

(01:34:35):
thirty three seventy three yards a touchdown. Note pick Trevor
Lawrence got banged up early, stayed in the game. He
is just fifteen and twenty nine d seventy six yards
and a score in that one. Welcome back to this
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are alive from the
ti iraq dot com studios and we have a couple
of games againing interesting. One of them is the Bears

(01:34:57):
and the Packers. The Packers have scored to cut the
lead to nineteen seventeen. Let's hear it. Here's a handoff fifteen,
he's to the ten, he's to the five, fighting to ride,
and it's is he in the yes touchdown? Greenback Packers
ninety three in the game. W r n W Packers

(01:35:18):
Radio Network. Uh story here Bears missed an extra points.
Instead of a three point lead, they have a two
point lead. Nineteen seventeen. We're just into the start of
the fourth quarter. Aaron Rodgers is just fourteen and seven yards,
does have that touchdown past. Meanwhile, Justin feels at a
great day fourteen of sixteen, two hundred six yards plus

(01:35:39):
he has seventy one yards in the ground, including a
fifty five yard touchdown. Round So the Bears have the
ball and a two point lead in that game. Yeah,
and it was a beautiful pass that fields through too
and kill Harry to get them on the Packers side
of the field once more, Montgomery just rushed it on
second down, got them within five of the yard of game,

(01:36:02):
but gets stuffed there. So it brings up fourth down
in five maybe six for this Bears offense, just outside
the twenty yard line of the Packers. Mike White magic
last week, not so much today. Can't get the Jets
in the end zone. They had another opportunity that got stalled,
so for the fourth time the Jets have had to
settle for a field goal. Still, it's a one score game.

(01:36:25):
Vikings lead the Jets by a score of twenty to twelve,
are coming to the end of the third quarter there,
Uh so, Mike White in this game is twenty one
or thirty six, two or eight yards, no touchdowns and
a pick. But again they've had a settle for four
field goals on the day. The Vikings offensive they haven't
done much of anything. In fact, they only have ninety
six net yards passing. So that Jets defense getting the

(01:36:47):
job done as they have all season long, but some
wasted opportunities by this Jets offense. Yeah, you know, the
it's it's kind of stunning when you look at the
score because both these team and teams are playing fairly
even today. Outside of the interception thrown earlier in the
game against the Vikings, did we do we have a

(01:37:09):
bad field goal on that? So the Bears attempted I'm
assuming missed. How bad was that miss h It was
a forty yard field goal. It probably went about twenty
five year olds, so it wasn't blocked, it wasn't tipped.
It looked like it was just playing bad. Is there
weather out there? Do we know if it's if it's
like a rainy what is the ground wet like? What's

(01:37:32):
the explanation for that? Well, sometimes think about this. You
remember when Tiger was going to the struggles with the
chipping game shore and he was hitting underneath the ball.
That's pretty much what it is. If you get too
far under the ball, you just sort of pop it up.
It's well, yeah, but a bad chip near or a green?
Why did it happen? Is it because he went for
his plant? And Uh, it was like that makes sense.

(01:37:56):
I was gonna say, coming up twenty yards short as
something they had to happen. Ravens are trying to get
something going here where inside eight minutes to go Now
in the fourth quarter, Broncos still leading the Ravens by
a score of nine to three. Uh. The story here.
Lamar Jackson went out early with an injury. Tyler Huntley

(01:38:16):
came in. The numbers aren't awful, but they're really not
getting the ball down the field nineteen twenty four, only
thirty seven yards passing. He's an interception in the end
zone that didn't help. Uh. In fact, a couple of
interceptions for the Ravens today. Well, you talk about you
mentioned this earlier. Even without Lamar Jackson, there's no excuse
losing at home to a team like the Denver Broncos,

(01:38:39):
and you're you're still going to smell a little fraud
here on the Ravens side. Yeah, I just I don't.
I don't like the way that they perform against the
best teams, especially considering how favorable their schedule has been
for Baltimore. They faced the Buffalo Bills at home early
in the season, the Dolphins at home early in the season,

(01:38:59):
uh um. And and then they have that inexplicable loss
to the Jaguars last week and come back fashion where
Trevor Lawrence was able to get it done in ot.
I I just I'm looking at I'm looking at the
Ravens differently than I was after that loss, like it
just doesn't feel right. It doesn't. And now losing Lamar Jackson.
We'll see for how long it's a knee. We don't

(01:39:22):
know the severity. We know it finished his day today. Um,
but I'm sure they're hoping it's a short term injury
because it doesn't get much easier. You gotta go to Pittsburgh,
always a tough matchup in division against uh, the Steelers.
You gotta go to the Browns. Um. You know, Deshaun
Watson's back and he'll have knocked off some of the
russ after two weeks of play, and then um, you

(01:39:44):
host the Falcons and stay in division against the Steelers
and then go to the Cincinnati Bengals. I mean, this
could be one of those seasons where we've seen the
best of their winning ways and it's all downhill from here. Well,
the Browns, you mentioned Deshaun Watson handing of the fourth order,
leading the Texans fourteen to eight. The fourteen points courtesy
of a seventy six yard punt return by People's Jones

(01:40:08):
and then a fumble return for a touchdown. So offensively,
the Browns have yet to put any points on the board.
No points on the board. Uh. Deshaun Watson is eleven
of yards, no touchdowns, and a pick. Uh. He also
has just carried the ball twice for three yards. So
this this game has been less about what the Browns

(01:40:28):
are doing, in just a full display at the ineptitude
of a team with the worst record in the NFL
to being in the Houston text. Shawn looks really rusty.
You could tell he's trying to keep the football down.
He doesn't want to float it out there and get
and and suffer the consequences of a turnover. So he's
missing a lot of throws low and their throws that
you turn on the film and you watch what he

(01:40:49):
was able to do with the football, uh previously to
this um that he would normally make. He's just not
quite there yet, and and he's throwing the football at
the feet of his open receivers as a result, He's
missed a lot open throws today, all right. So the
Bears after the missfield goal are on their heel. Suddenly
the Packers seem to have life. They're showing some inspiration

(01:41:11):
right now. Bears lead this game nineteen to seventeen. But
already Aaron Rodgers has got his Packer offense down to
the Bears thirty eight yard line. They have a second
and four right now. So you know, early on it
almost looked like the Packers were going through the motions.
They were down early big in this game. Of the
Bears are doing what they wanted, and he almost had
a sense that, indeed, Aaron Rodgers is ready for an

(01:41:33):
early vacation. What he has basically told the organization is
if we are mathematically eliminated, I don't have a problem
with you wanting to test the water with Jordan's love
and see what we have in him. I don't have
a problem. But as long as we are still mathematically alive,
obviously Aaron Rodgers will remain in at quarterback. So when

(01:41:57):
today with at least temporarily keep the Packers in the mix. Yeah,
And like you said, they've really come alive in the
second half. And we know this game is all about
second half adjustments. It's all about the team you are,
assuming the score is in out of hand in the
fourth first half, the team you are in the third
and fourth quarter. And Rogers has executed. He's been accurate

(01:42:19):
on the strows except for that one. He skied that
one over the head of Cobb on the sideline rolling
out on the bootleg there. But outside of that, he's
been pretty good finding his receivers. Watson made a big
play for the touchdown earlier, and they made this a
ballgame trailing by two here late all right, Welcome to
the Fox Sports Radio Tailgate presented by the Big Green Egg.

welcome back months right now as well. We're heading down
the stretch. It's always sort of a guessing game here, Mona,

(01:43:01):
which games are going to give us the best finish.
Sometimes we look at games like we haven't even had
games over, and also we look up like what happened?
Very true? We got some close ones. By the way,
I did see that TikTok video of you cooking with
your flame throwers. That what it's called in the parking lot.
I'm really glad you guys both wore sunglasses because you
were about to blow off your eyelashes and your eyebrows.

(01:43:24):
So that was Glenn. We are always professional, very professional,
very safe. But here's the thing, monse as outrageous as
that video is, when you actually ate the meat, it
was perfect, perfect looked. I mean you showed it, you
cut it, and you showed it. I will charge you
some vegetables perfect one side of the probably here the

(01:43:51):
bus stop. Yeah, I'd like that. I cannot wait. Yeah,
we got a couple of close games, not and then
one that's not so close. I mean the Lions. They
have just really dominated the Jaguars this whole game. Thirty
three fourteen, early in the fourth quarter, Jared Goff two
hundred and nineties seven yards and a touchdown in the air.
I'm telling you m v P today. The Bears of

(01:44:11):
a slight lead on the Packers, but the Packers are
in the red zone. They're knocking at the door, and
the Bears are only up by two. You mentioned in
missfield goals, So nineteen seventeen is a score about six
and a half minutes to go in the game. The
Steelers are also up on the Falcons, but the Falcons
are in the red zone as well. In nineteen thirteen
is the score on that one eight and a half
minutes to go in the fourth quarter. The Vikings have
had a lead on the Jets pretty much the whole game.

(01:44:33):
Twelve is a score early in the fourth quarter. The
Giants and the Commanders have been going at it. It's
kind of been a little bit of a boring game,
but the Giants are beating the Commanders twenty to thirteen.
We've got less than four minutes to go in the game,
and the Eagles definitely have shown their strengths over the Titans.
Is Derrick Henry playing asking for a friend? Moving on

(01:44:53):
twenty eight to ten. They're about to end the third quarter.
Jalen Hurts has thrown for three hundred and seventy five
yard and three touchdowns. The Browncos and the Ravens a
total snooze fest this one. Not a single touchdown. It's
been all field goals, and the Broncos are beating the Ravens,
who are playing without Lamar Jackson for most of the game,
nine to three, five and a half minutes to go

(01:45:14):
in the game. The Browns are beating the Texans fourteen
to eight early in the fourth quarter. And some inactives
and actives for the games that are about to start
at one o'clock or four o'clock Eastern time. The Bengals
will have Jamaar Chase against the Chiefs, but they will
be without Joe Mixon. Running back Josh Jacobs, who's been
dealing with that calf injury, is active for the Raiders

(01:45:34):
against the Chargers, and the forty Niners will have wide
receiver Deebo sam Deebo Samuel and left tackle Trent Williams
they're good to go against the Dolphins. Back to you guys,
all right, montery, So a game that's got real interesting
suddenly is this Vikings Jets games. So that Vikings in
the second half have ten total yards total in the
second half, and now the Jets, down eight, are in

(01:45:57):
a position to score again and and if they can
get in the end zone go for a two point
conversion tie this game. But that Jets defense has done
a number in the second half against the Vikings, who
have run off twelve offensive place in the second half
and have ten yards. That Jets defense is no joke, man,

(01:46:18):
that is a legit defense. So but the Vikings defense
tightens up, so it looks like the Jets once again
can't get the ball in the end zone and they're
gonna have to settle for what would be a fifth
field goal in the game. And the kick is good.
So five field goals and you almost get a sense

(01:46:39):
again the Jets should be winning this game. Yeah they really,
You can make an argument they should be. Um and
Mike White getting hot with his favorite receiving target from
a game ago. At this point, it bodes extremely well
for New York because again, look, if there's one thing
that you can say about Kirk Cousin's career is he's

(01:47:00):
given a lot of games away. You know, when things
get tight in the fourth quarter. He hasn't this season.
I'm talking about career wide, though. Um, he's given a
lot of games away. So anyway, you can put the
pressure on Kirk Cousins in the fourth quarter. Uh, and
bringing this game within five points here is exactly what
they needed to do. So they settle for the field goal.

(01:47:20):
It's twenty to fifteen Vikings over the Jets in Minnesota.
Total yards Jets three, Vikings two oh eight. The only
thing that matters is the scoreboard. Vikings still leading. As
you mentioned, I score at twenty to fifteen. Alright, the
Packers right now we're inside five minutes ago on the
fourth quarter. They are facing a third and five at
the Bears fourteen yard line. Bears have led this game throughout,

(01:47:43):
but right now they're in deep trouble after a missfield goal.
Earlier Santos Sosa missed an extra point. But now third
and five at the Bears fourteen yard line. Uh, and
we'll see what the Packers do here. I think there's
a time out. There is a time out, So time
going on right now, as the Packers on a critical
third and five at the Bears fourteen yard line. Also,

(01:48:06):
the Falcons have come back in their game against the Steelers.
They're trailing by a score of nineteen thirteen. They now
have a third and goal at the Steelers ten yard line.
So this is another game where one team is dominated throughout.
That would be the Steelers. But the Falcons at home
now have a fourth and goal at the ten yard line.
So five and a half minutes to go, you go

(01:48:29):
field goal here. You gotta go field goal here, right, yeah,
I think you gotta take the points where you can
get them. Bring this game within three points here. They
just missed on a third down throw to the back
of the end zone that was knocked away by the
Steelers well covered against the tight end there. All right,
we have a field goal for the Cleveland Browns. So
the increase erely seventeen to eight now, so it's a

(01:48:53):
nine point game over the Texans. Um alright, so we're
watching here. We go on a third and five, five
inside five minutes ago for the Packers, and Aaron Rodgers
is gonna throw the end zone and there is incomplete
no flag. He's begging, he's looking for a defensive hold.
No call. So again, a field goal here would give

(01:49:15):
the Packers the lead. And uh, Aaron Rodgers was screaming
for a defensive holding call. There were no flags, and
I thought that was clean. That's clean. Yeah, that was
a great job. He didn't grab his jersey, I mean
put his hand on. But that's not all. Was that
Bobby Touny in Yeah, Robert Tony in the tight end
receiving target and it was knocked away by one of

(01:49:36):
the Bears defenders. A linebacker just did a nice job
just shadowing the route. It was a crossing route over
the middle. And the Packers line up to kick the
field goal, which is good. So that makes to score
twenty to nineteen in Chicago over the Bears. Yeah, ago,
and there again they're one game that's been in no
doubt today that is the Eagles and the Titans. Says

(01:49:58):
Eagles about to score again to ten Eagles in this game.
By the way, they just flash and a stat up there.
I was like, when guys dig into stats, Jalen Hurts
is the first Eagles quarterback ever to have at least
three hundred fifty yards passing three touchdown passes and a
rushing touchdown in the same game. Today, he's twenty nine
thirty eight eighty yards three touchdowns note pics he has

(01:50:20):
run for a score and the Eagles have absolutely dominated
the Titans today and they have another opportunity here second
and five inside the ten yard line against the Tennessee Titans,
who are just i mean just seating so much in
the run game, but also in the past game. They
just have not been able to defend this Eagle Team's
this Eagle team at all. Look Nick Sirianni, I don't

(01:50:42):
think gets enough credit for what they've been able to
do over the past two seasons. I think a lot
of people are sort of waiting for this to fail.
I feel that way about the Miami Dolphins. A lot
of people are waiting for the Dolphins to fall off.
With Mike McDaniel, these young coaches, they've done an excellent job.
Sean McVeigh, for whatever reason, as soon as he got
the gig in l A, everybody was like, Oh, this

(01:51:04):
guy's a boy genius. Well what about Sirianni, What about
Mike McDaniel. These guys are leading incredible seasons for their
teams this year. I don't think anyone's gotten past Sirianni's
opening press conference when he got the job. I think
that started set the toe for him. But you know,
by the way, I mean, the guy is absolutely in
the conversation NFL Coach of the Year on the team
that's ten and one, about to be eleven and one

(01:51:25):
on the season. Time is running out, by the way
for the Ravens. Right now. They are trailing the Broncos
by a score of nine to three, and there's four
and a half minutes ago, and they have a fourth
and one at their own eighteen yard line. You're not
gonna go for it this early, but oh, they are
gonna go for it. Wow, from their own eighteen yard line,

(01:51:46):
and a quarterback snake gets stuffed. Oh that got stuff,
that got stuff. That one nowhere? Oh wow, look what
where the officials are running in from that? He went backwards.
They're saying it's the first down, you know, Wow? Are
you kidding me? Okay, So Hunley took the snap on

(01:52:07):
a sneak. He went backwards at first. He did well,
did he Let's look at the replay here? Wow, dude, Yeah,
that whole line got pushed back? Did he was he
the one that squirted through though? I don't know, but
that was fate? Boy will they've run another place? So
the Ravens still have the ball, uh, and they still
have a long way to go. They have no offense

(01:52:28):
going on right now. But man, alright, I see the
Browns running in the end zone? Is that another return
for score? Is that another? That's a return for a score?
Pick six thrown by Kyle Allen Houston Texans fans are
in the stands and Lovey Smith himself just dejected over

(01:52:50):
what that? So that's a punt return for a touchdown,
a fumbel return for a touchdown, exception return for a touchdown?
What are the Browns offense produced? Had a field goal? Again?
It's pretty long one. Deshaun Watson by the way, twelve
yards and an interception. I don't know, a little premature
to pick him up on your fantasy football team. I don't,

(01:53:12):
I don't. I don't think he's gonna be putting up
any huge numbers. Well, he doesn't look sharp today, he
really doesn't. He's missed a lot of open receivers and
Deshaun Watson has clearly two years or a year plus
eleven games worth of Russ to knock off and and
it's definitely showing in this game his accuracy with the football,

(01:53:32):
throwing it all right. Bears got the ball back after
that Packers field goal. Packers lead the Bears twenty to nineteen.
We got three and a half minutes to go in
the fourth quarter and the Bears are at their own
forty seven yard line. They face a second and seven
as they tried to regain the lead. Here again, the
Bears have led throughout, but the Packers came back Aaron

(01:53:55):
Rodgers showing a little spark for this offense to regain
the lead. Un While, after the Jets fifth field goal
of the game, the Vikings finally they've got some offense going.
Is that a touchdown? They're calling it? Yeah, The Cousins
and company are celebrating, and Justin Jefferson with a toe tapper.

(01:54:15):
He's ridiculous, I mean, just falling out of bounds in
the end zone, being escorted by a Jets defender, and
he is able to secure the reception for the score.
By the way, before that reception six catches thirty five yards.
That's yet Vikings had no offense against this outstanding Jets defense.
But right there, justin Jefferson, did he get both feet down? Yeah,

(01:54:37):
I think so. He slid that second foot of the
toe drag there. Alright, so it looks like we have
now extended that Vikings lead to twenty seven and fifteen
as we went down the extra point eight and a
half minutes ago. All right, we're coming down the stretch.
You know, we're gonna have some exciting finishes. Which one
will be the buzzer beater. Fox Sports Red Zone Radio
continues here on Fox Sports Radio. Oh, this is Fox

(01:55:05):
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you
may have missed. I think he's gonna throw again. Steps
back underneath open Dotson at the church the corner, spending
the dead. He's going in touchdown, touchdown, Washington, unbelievable catching
rock by johat dots In. Now back live to the

(01:55:27):
studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio.
All right, So that's big one. Commanders Radio Network. Commanders
and Giants are tied at twenty. Giants got the ball
back and now they're gonna have to punt one thirty
three to go in the fourth quarter. Commanders will get

(01:55:49):
the ball back. That game is tied. Meanwhile, remember when
the Bears were dominating the Packers earlier and we were
kidding about, well, maybe Aaron Rodger doesn't own the Bears anymore.
Forget it, he still owns the Bears. The Hackers have
just gotten in the end zone again, so they have
increased their lead to twenty six to nineteen, still winning

(01:56:11):
on the extra points situation. There one fifty one to
go in the fourth quarter. Welcome back. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the ti
iraq dot com studios. Also, the Falcons did get that
field goal we were talking about earlier. They trailed the
Steelers by a score of nineteen to sixteen inside two
minutes ago. In the fourth quarter, there are Steelers are

(01:56:33):
at the Atlanta thirty four yard line facing a third
and five, and by the way, the Jets, there is
a review of a QB sneak Mike White at the
goal line trying to take it himself. The Vikings defense
met him right right at the half yard line and
they are reviewing whether or not he broke the plane.

(01:56:56):
The Vikings leading twenty fifteen here, but that's boy, that's
almost too close to call, right there. Well, there's still
seven a half minutes ago. In that game, the Jets
have yet to get in the end zone five field goals. Today,
the Vikings did finally get some offense, going to extend
their lead to twenty seven and fifteen. But we'll wait

(01:57:17):
on that ruling there. As you mentioned Mike White trying
to sneak it in for the Jets to get him
back into this game. Uh, as far as Aaron Rodgers
are concerned, they have added a two point conversion. So
now it's a nine point game. So the Packers completely
flipped this game. Eighteen nothing Packers in the fourth quarter.

(01:57:39):
So Aaron Rodgers is alive and well, fourth and two
for the Ravens offense at the Denver Broncos twenty yard line,
and they get it. Huntley keeps it himself and that's
a first in ten inside the twenty against the Denver Broncos,
who lead right now nine three. You got forty seven

(01:58:00):
seconds left in the fourth quarter, right now. Wow, We've
got a lot of exciting finishes. The only game that's
not exciting is the Eagles blowing out the Titans by
a score of thirty five to ten. You have the
latest there Perts gets off inside and clouding forward to
the touchdowns. It's Miles Sendlers, Miles Senders with this nth

(01:58:21):
touchdown of the season. W i P. Eagles Radio Network.
It's been all Jail and Hurts today. Thirty yards, three touchdowns,
no picks, and he has a rushing touchdown as well.
I see the Steelers hang on. Baltimore just got it
down to the two yard line here Tyler Huntley pump fake,
then threw it to the sideline and duvern A got

(01:58:43):
it all the way down to the two. So you
have a first and goal for the Ravens at the
Denver Broncos half yard line maybe one yard line there,
and with a chance to win this football game because
they're they're trailing by six right now. All right, Oh,
I'm watching a punt by the Steelers that they down
inside the five yard line. So the Falcons have a

(01:59:05):
mile and a half to go, trailing the Steelers, nineteen
sixty seconds to go on the fourth quarter. Man, this
is going to be oh and it's picked off, and
it's picked off. The Steelers picked off Mariota. That is it.
So that is gonna do it. The Steelers are gonna
escape hold on for a nineteen to sixteen victory over
the Falcons. So the Jets did get the touchdown, they

(01:59:27):
got the extra point. So we're at sixty five to
go in the fourth quarter. In that game, touched, touched,
that was that was that Huntley again? Yes, Tyler Huntley
rushes it in himself and the Ravens have tied this
ball game with twenty eight seconds left on the clock

(01:59:48):
in front of their home fans. Denver has had nine
points on the board for what feels like an eternity.
Baltimore has only had three points since the first quarter,
and finally get sit into the end zone on a
plant QB run. Huntley breaks the plane and with the
extra point, they take the lead. Absolutely only twenty eight
seconds left to go. Tyler Huntley in this game since

(02:00:11):
replacing the Injel Lamar Jackson is twenty seven and thirty two,
but only eighty seven yards passing and no touchdowns. He
has to pick. The extra point is good, So the
Ravens take the lead ten to nine over the Broncos. Officially,
now they've reset the clock, thirty one seconds left for
the Broncos. Uh again, you think of Russell Wilson passed.

(02:00:34):
You say it's not over, Russell Wilson present. It doesn't
sound too uh promising? All right, right now the Commanders
and the Giants, this game has got overtime. All over.
At twenty nine seconds to go in the fourth quarter,
Commanders have the ball. The game is tied at twenty
They have a fourth and ten at their own thirty

(02:00:54):
eight yard line, so most likely as they punt here, yeah,
we're gonna be heading into an overtime. Keep it here
for much more. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

press or tucks it under runs hit not the goal
line and extra effort? Is he in now? They say
he's down not the half yard line. So finally the
Jets are able to get the ball over the goal line.
No thanks to the officials. That's Jets Radio Network. Wow. Okay,

(02:01:39):
so the Jets did get the score and they have
the ball right now. Welcome. This is Fox Sports Red

(02:01:59):
now that are over Brown's lead, the Texans eight Eagles
over the Titans. Two games far from over. Right now,
we are in overtime already. The Giants have the ball
this game against the Commanders tied at twenty, and the
Giants right now have a third and five at their
own forty three yard line. And remember the rules are

(02:02:20):
if whatever team scores the first touchdown in the first
two possessions wins, So that means if the Giants score here,
they win the football game. Those rules haven't changed for
overtime until you get to the postseason, where both teams
are promised to possession. Right, a touchdown wins the game
of field goal, though, and the Commanders would get the
ball back. Meanwhile, the Jets have stopped the Vikings and

(02:02:41):
got the ball back. Although I'm looking up and Mike
White just got absolutely blasted. Uh we they have a
fourth and ten now at the forty seven yard line
of the Vikings. So this is the game right now
inside it's complete, all the way down inside the fifteen
yard line. Passed strike and the Jets are in the

(02:03:06):
red zone. Is a legend he's had. He has over
three yards passing the escape. This fin between two defenders
of the Vikings right on the money. So they now
have a first down at the sixteen yard line of
the Vikings inside four minutes ago in the fourth right

(02:03:29):
now at the sixteen years goodness, gracious, this Jets team,
I mean Mike White, they said it last week. He
makes the easy look easy, and they got a shot. No, no, no,
that's gonna get stopped six yard game though on the
swing pass there. So the Jets continue to move the
football and the Giants had to settle for a punt

(02:03:51):
on the opening drive of overtime after Daniel Jones got
sacked on the third down attempt, bringing up four and
fourth and thirteen. All right, So as far as the
Jets and concerned, statistically, they've dominated this game. They just
couldn't get the ball in the end zone. But now
we got Mike White on the movies up to three
hundred and forty yards passing. Uh in this game right now,

(02:04:14):
and they have a second and three inside the ten
yard line of The Vikings have led throughout this game,
but offensively, the Vikings have really struggled, especially in the
second half against this Jets defense. That's a first down
throw the Jets Corey Davis on a slant route and
he falls forward over the five yard line. Interesting goal. Yeah,

(02:04:35):
into first and goal territory against this Vikings defense, who
looks exhausted. All right, Commanders take over and overtime now
they have a first hand at their own thirty three
yard line seven and a half minutes ago and overtime
tied up with the Giants. But this would be a
heck of a comeback for the Jets if they can
finish this first and goal at the four yard line
to sixteen to go uh in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile,

(02:04:59):
the command is playing pretty conservative right now. Uh. It's
weird and overtime because you have only ten minutes. No
one's gonna want to play for a tie unless you're
Levee Smith. He did that earlier this year. Um, he
played for a tie. Um. But you also don't want
to make a mistake because at this point, now that
the Commanders have the ball, next score wins this game.

(02:05:21):
But this is right out of the Ron rivera playbook, right.
He wants to establish the run. It doesn't even matter
if they're trailing. The run game is important to him.
So Taylor Heinekey on first down hands it off, gets
about two yards, and they handed off on second down,
and they get a whole lot more than two yards
over the fifty yard line, crumbling forward. And that was
a special play by Curtis Samuel out of the backfield,

(02:05:45):
a split gun set. He takes the inside zone carry
for a lot. All right, so they are now in
the Giant's territory again. A field goal is all the
Commanders now need to win this game and overtime. Inside
seven minutes to go, we have the Jets. Vikings were
on hold. I imagine a time out right now, Jets
trailing by a score of twenty seven to twenty two.

(02:06:07):
A first and goal at the Vikings four yard line.
But again, Mike White has three forty five yards passing
in this game. Kirk Coussens has a hundred seventy three
total yards in this game. The Jets, remember they had
no offense with Zach Wilson. How about four hundred and
fifty nine yards of offense today? Yeah, yeah, I mean
their offense is completely different. They they I mean he

(02:06:30):
and Mike White. He has a great feel for this team.
And remember Mike White, he was he was taking scout
team offense reps like he wasn't even working with these guys.
It was Joe Flacco backing up Zack Wilson until they
decided to make the change and Mike White became the
starting quarterback here. So this is incredible what he's been
able to do over now a two games stretch. We'll

(02:06:51):
see if he's able to put him away in regulation again.
Minnesota leading by five, two two minute warning just hit
in this game and the Jets are knocking on the
door at the five yard line in the Minnesota Vikings. Dolphins.
Dolphins have just scored to open up their game against
the forty niners. And we were talking about the Dolphins

(02:07:12):
banged up in this game, cross country trip to a
tong of violo, a surefield, seventy five yards for the touchdown,
and just like that, early seven nothing ten seconds into
that game, first play seven did they know they got
the extra points first playing the game seven nothing just

(02:07:32):
like that, all right, the other game that just kicked
off Rams and the Seahawks. All right, keeping our eye
on the Jets right now, and they are right at
the goal line. Did he get in? He's a body
yard short right now? Alright, So they the Jets again
trying to retake the lead, or take the lead for
the first time. Vikings have really dominated this game throughout.

(02:07:53):
We're talking unlike the kiss of death. As soon as
I talk up a team, you know they're doomed. And
that's the case of the Vikings to day, talking about
how nine and two team may be proven some of
the doubters wrong. But it has been Jets dominance late
in this game. Commanders, right now of the fourth and
nine at the Giants forty three yard line, they've just
been running the ball. They're electing to punt, and they're

(02:08:15):
gonna punt the ball away. Gee, don't play for ties,
do you. We're inside five minutes to going overtime. So
the Giants will get the ball back, but they're gonna
have the ball back deep in their own territory that
gets pinned down inside their yard line. So to be uh,
Giants football at the nine. Yeah, Jets getting ready for
the second and goal. Look here after the Zanovan Night

(02:08:38):
hands it and it's a loss. Oh he fights to
now still short. Uh what looked like about a three
yard loss. Looks like he might have gotten back to
the line of scrimmage. We're at one fifty three in
this game right now. Jets aren't all that concerned about
the clock. They're just concerned about getting in the end zone.
And they're still short. So they have a third and
goal right now. Vikings leading twenty seven to any too.

(02:09:01):
And uh wow, that last commander's drive sort of got
to me. They got past midfield and they just kept
running the ball, and then they on a second and
seven they ran the ball for a three yard loss. Um,
you do what you do, and you know what I mean,
Like you know, yeah, Taylor Heineke has been good this season.
But two sent five yards two touchdowns today. This is

(02:09:24):
a team, though, that values the run game. There's no
question about it. Okay, third and goal from the one
yard line, so no lost yardage on the last carry
from the Jets. Mike White in the shotgun, and it
is a play action passed the end zone. Going nowhere nobody.
That ball was just thrown away. So now all of
a sudden, the games on the line. We got a

(02:09:46):
fourth and goal at the one yard line. Meanwhile, the
Giants have the ball and they got a long way
to go, and the clock is running in overtime. Three
eighteen three seventeen. Clock is taken away right now? Are
we looking at a I? And by the way, when
you look at the playoff picture in the NFC with
these two teams, I could be critical, very critical. We

(02:10:10):
saw what happened last year with the Steelers that tie
that actually worked out in their favor to sneak in
the playoffs that they had early in the season against
four and one. Here for the touchdowns, no no good,
no good, they originally no good. Mike White is holding

(02:10:30):
his helmet. He threw a pass and it was knocked away.
Boy did that look good? Here? Check out the replay here.
It was in and out of the hands of a
Jets receiver. So he threw a bullet and it was
essentially dropped, is what happened. The receiver went down to

(02:10:52):
the ground to catch the burrios who dropped that and
he didn't control the ball. Oh great, passed by White
right on the money and he couldn't control it. All right,
let's hear that Dolphins score should over the middle field
at the fifty at the forty dot, the Philly goes

(02:11:13):
a seventy five yards I the first play of this
football game. Wow, that's Dolphins Radio Network first play of
the game. Seventy five yard touchdown passed to a tongue
of voloa to Surefield right there, and just like that,
the Dolphins have the early seven that thing lead on

(02:11:35):
the road against the forty niners, by the way, it's
over now Eagles and beating the Titans thirty five to ten.
Brown still leading the Texas inside two minutes to go
in the game, but at his heartbreak for the Jets,
not odd Over. The Vikings have the ball at their
own one yard line. And they just saw this Vikings
Bills game a week ago. How crazy that was. Yeah,

(02:11:56):
they just rushed it up the middle with Cook and
got no air fast. The Jets are looking to get
the safety here. They are pressing the line of scrimmage. Yeah,
and this is the kind of Jets defensive front that
can do that to a team. So not Over, We
learned our lesson a few weeks ago and that Vikings
Bills game. So a second and ten at their own
two yard lines inside the two yard line for the

(02:12:19):
Vikings clock has stopped one forty three to go in
the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, we've gotten to the two minute
warning in over time. Giants and Commanders tied at twenty.
The Giants still in their own territory, first intent of
their own forty eight yard line. A little breathing loom
for the Vikings. How many timeouts of the Jets have left? All?

(02:12:39):
They had a full slated timeouts left, so they're gonna
use another one right here to stop the clock. So
they had all three timeouts for many So this game
is not over, folks, between the Vikings and the Jets.
And look, they just showed a stat on the broadcast.
It's uh eight wins by eight points are less for
Kevin O'Connell leading the Viking. That's a franchise record. I mean,

(02:13:02):
a lot of close wins. This is a team that
has learned this season how to put away their opponents
even in close games. But but again, it's Kirk Cousins
and we've seen some of his faltering in situations like
this third and seven, we'll see if they elect to
pass the football here, i'd imagine, so after getting a
little bit of breathing room. Remember if offensive women get

(02:13:23):
called for holding in the end zone, it is a safety.
So that's the reason why you get the ball, and
that goes for a loss. Oh my goodness. Well, the
Jets probably will use their last time out. They do,
they stop the clock a minute and a half to go,
and the Vikings are gonna be punning out of the
back of their end zone. So the Jets are gonna

(02:13:44):
have the ball back plenty of time. They need a
touchdown there down five in this game, you get it
with a block punt here. Yeah, So they're at the
back of the end zone right now, gonna be punning
out of their end zone, Vikings clinging to a lead. Meanwhile,
the Giants with the ball overtime inside two minutes ago
in the overtime and they've gotten the ball to the

(02:14:05):
commander's forty four yard line. They have a third end
two so obviously still not in field goal position. A
field goal will end this game, but they're they're gonna
need a first down in order to continue controlling the ball.
So the Giants. Now, all right, so here we go.
This is the punt out the back of the end
zone by the Vikings. They get the punt off. It

(02:14:26):
looks like a short punt way short field. It at
the fifty and got it out to the forty three
yard line of the Vikings. So so the Vikings, the
Jets have the ball, and the Jets have no time
outs left, time outs left. They're trailing by five. They
need to score a touchdown to win, and they could

(02:14:46):
do it and walk off fashion here if they use
enough of a clock. We'll see how this drive goes.
And then in terms of the Giants, well, what happened
was they had a blown handoff and Jones had to
eat it. So all of a sudden, we have a
fourth ten two for the Giants at the forty five
yard line. What do you do here, rich one forty
two to go in overtime, it's fourth and three. If

(02:15:07):
you go for it and he gets stuffed, then the
Commanders take over near midfield and it only takes a
field goal to win the game. You can't kick a
field goal from here, so what do you do a
seventy one yard field goal? We just saw a seventy
yard a test not happening. They're going for it. Well,
they're gonna go for it on fourth and three, one
forty two to go in overtime. Table is not gonna

(02:15:29):
play for a time. He could play for a tie.
You could pin uh, you know the commander's way back,
but you probably aren't get the ball back. So here
we go. Wow, this is a risk at the forty
five yard line of the commanders if you don't get
a first down here, treat this play like you it's
a quarterback punt, throw deep to someone if it gets
picked off empty backfield. They got four receivers too on

(02:15:52):
either side, and maybe they were looking for an offside.
I don't know what they're doing right now, but all right,
the Jets just had on the plane away. Did they
use the play clock? They might have, Oh my gosh,
hunt hostly error there. Oh no, you're right there. They
were just looking for the off side, so they lose
the yards for the punch. They are playing for the tie.

(02:16:12):
They are playing for the tie, so they're not gonna
risk it. You were like, hey, Brian Daveill, look at him. No,
they're gonna punt the ball away one two to go
in overtime. All right, So the Jets now are all
the way down to the Vikings nineteen yard line. We
have thirty two seconds remaining and the Jets trailing the
Vikings by a score of twenty seven to twenty two.

(02:16:35):
Keeping her eye obviously on that game. And the throw
is to the end zone and that's almost picked off.
You had you had you had a Vikings defender dive
at that and there come up with it again looking
for Garrett Wilson. He was sitting on that ball too.
He's you got to make that interception. Smith was just

(02:16:56):
sitting on it and was thrown right to him and
he dropped the ball. He's one of the best in
the game too. Alright, twenty seven seconds remaining. Third and
ten now at the Minnesota nineteen yard line. Again, just
no timeouts, and that's getting a little tricky now with
twenty seven seconds left. But the first thing they need
to get either in the end zone or a first down,
and White is gonna roll out looking to make something happen,

(02:17:20):
and he just throws the ball out of bound. So
they have a fourth and ten now at the Vikings
nineteen yard line. So again when you talk about this
Vikings team earlier at the goal line. So after the punt,
the Washington Commanders receive and their pin back deep Thibodeau
comes off the edge for the Giants unblocked and sacks Taylor. Heineke.

(02:17:43):
That was just that could have been mental error by
the left tackle. He thought his assignment was bringing him inside.
They left the defensive end unblocked. Well, Heineke never saw him.
That could have easily been a fumble. Unfortunately, Heineke h
at least for Commanders. Fans held onto the All right,
here we go with the Jets right now, four down
throws over the middle and it's picked off. That is it.

(02:18:07):
The Vikings have figured out a way to survive once again.
The Vikings will beat the Jets by a score of
twenty seven to twenty two. Mike White in this game
through for three sixty nine yards not enough. A lot
of wasted opportunities early in this game by the Jets
comes back to haunt them. And once again, for the

(02:18:28):
ninth time this year, the Vikings have won a one
score game. All right, till over time to go second
and eighteen right now for the Commanders, and they're just
playing conservative running the ball. Oh wow, that was a fumble. Yeah,
it goes out of bounds. So the Commanders get out
to about the thirteen fourteen yard line on the rush,

(02:18:51):
made themselves a little room there, but it brings up
third down and a middle distance down here, Well, are
you gonna throw the ball? Are you running the ball?
I mean, what is your It doesn't look like they
want to win. It looks like they want to play
for a tie. So my guess is they're gonna run
the football again, just like they've been all overtime. Alright,
so again we got one fifteen to go in the overtime.

(02:19:14):
We need a score here, clocks running one ten, one
oh nine, and now we have a time out for
some reason. All right, we'll continue on. We'll bring it
to the finish line. Here, Commanders and Giants and overtime.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you

(02:19:36):
may have missed. So Denarius Smith comes flying up the center,
Mike White hits the pros thros to the goal strike
and it's been intercepted by Cam buying him and that
is your whole game. Now back live to the studios
of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,

(02:20:00):
all right, that's k Fan Minneapolis and the Vikings Radio Network.
Vikings hang on to beat the Jets by a score
of seven and twenty two. Welcome back Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio where you're alive from the ti iraq dot
com studios. The Giants and the Commanders. That came down
to a fifty eight yard field goal attempt by the Giants.

(02:20:22):
Well short, we have a tie game and that's gonna
be critical down the stretch, tiebreakers and everything else in
terms of wild card in the NFC. So the Commanders
and Giants play to uh, Todd, do you have that?
Let's go, here's the stack, hold out, kick it up.
That is not going to get there. It is no

(02:20:44):
good at Washington and New York are gonna settle for
a twenty tie in round one, all right, so a
big one Commanders Radio network. You're you're sort of happy,
but not because the game ends in the tie. So
no one's happy with the uh Meanwhile, the Rams looking
for a little life right now. He had a handoff

(02:21:05):
left side acres through contact, tuted pay dirts, touchdown, cam Akers,
touchdown l a Rams Radio Networks. So the Rams with
the early seven nothing late against the Seahawks, But Seahawks answer.
Here comes the blitz. Leonard Floyd Geno has got time.
Now he's gonna throw. He's got a man crossing the

(02:21:26):
field of locking down in the fifty comes back and
side ten Toutchaves Saws Tyler lock it on the crossing
raild Seahawks Radio networks. So that game is tied ritch
seven seven right now forty one to go or four
forty four to go in the first quarter. There by
the way, Gino Smith of perfect two for two forty
six yards and a touchdown. John Woolford is the quarterback

(02:21:49):
for the Rams today, doing a nice job on this drive.
So right now tied at seven, like you mentioned in
l A, facing second and seven here, but he had
a beautiful throat to two two at well over to
the left side of the field that went for about
forty and so the Rams knocking on the door here
against the Seahawks defense. Also a story out of San

(02:22:11):
Francisco Dolphins leading the Body Niners by a score of
seven at three and Jimmy Garoppolo is out of this game.
The seventh round pick Brock Purty is in a quarterback.
So we'll keep you updated on that. But right now
I want to remind everyone you're part of the Fox

Let's find out what's trending right now. Munsey is standing
by on what has been a very busy day. We
got eight games in the books today. We do have

(02:22:55):
eight games in the books and four going on right now.
Chargers and Raiders score list, but they just got started.
Same thing with the Chiefs and the Bengals also scoreless.
They just got started. The Dolphins came out hot, real early.
All they needed was one play to score a touchdown
and they did. Seven three is a score over the
forty Niners. Jimmy Garoppolo, who I decided to play in
my vantasy, is out with an ankle injury. He is

(02:23:17):
questionable to return. Lucky Me, Seahawks and Rams art tied
at seven apiece with about two and a half minutes
to go in the first quarter. The games that have
already ended. The Steelers, they held on and beat the
Falcons nineteen to sixteen. Kenny pick It hundred ninety seven
yards and a touchdown. The Packers they came alive in
the second half and one nineteen against the Bears. Eighteen

(02:23:38):
unanswered points by Green Bay in the fourth quarter Aaron
Rodgers a hundred and eighty two yards and a touchdown.
Justin Fields through for two hundred and fifty four yards,
no touchdowns, two interceptions. The Lions dominated Jaguars the whole game.
Forty to fourteen was the final score. M VP Jared
Goff through for three hundred and forty yards and two touchdowns.
The Jets outscored the Vikings in the second half, but

(02:23:59):
the Vikings found a way to win twenty seven to
twenty two, and then the Eagles cruise passed the Titans
no problem. Thirty five to ten was the final score.
Jalen Hurts probably the real MVP three hundred and eighty yards,
three touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the victory. The
Broncos and the Ravens. What a snooze fest, But the
Ravens scored the only touchdown of the game in the
final minute and survived ten nine over the Broncos. The

(02:24:22):
Ravens did play most of the game without Lamar Jackson,
and they're saying the latest reports on his knee injury,
it's not season ending, but they think it's gonna be
definitely a few weeks and they'll do more tests on
that knee. The Commanders and the Giants ended in a
twenty tie. New York kicker Graham Gano had a chance
to win the game, but he missed a fifty eight
yard field goal attempt in the final seconds, and the
Browns beat the Texans twenty seven to four. Team but

(02:24:44):
it was all Brown's defense and special teams. They had
an interception return for a touchdown, a fumber was returned
for a touchdown, a pun return for a touchdown, and
the safety. They accounted for twenty four of Cleveland's points.
Deshaun Watson completed twelve of twenty two passes for a
hundred and thirty one yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
And the pizza is delicious back to you? Yes, how

(02:25:06):
about that? Sam brought in the big pies today and
wait said, no, I don't need, I don't need. Oh no,
I just not today. Every day is a good pizza day.
But yeah, all right, that's okay. By the way, watching
the Bengals on their opening drive against the Chiefs, Joe
Burrow is just carving them up right down the field.

(02:25:29):
They are down to the Kansas City four yard line.
Talked earlier about revenge for the Chiefs after that disastrous
second half at home in the n f C Championship game,
Bengals winning there, But uh, this is a Bengals team
that early on in the season it didn't look good.
They started oh and two, they lost to the lowly
Steelers in the opening game, and you thought, okay, super

(02:25:50):
Bowl hangover. Well guess what that hangovers resulted in touchdown Bengals.
Joe Burrow gets into the end zone. So just like
that opening draw, it's the Bengals scoring first. Yeah, and
I like this. It looked to me like a plan
QB keeper And so Joe Burrow uh gets to reap
the benefits of all the hard work he did on this.
Yeah QB draw with a lead back getting a block

(02:26:13):
from and then he just scored through the a gap
between the center and the left guard there dope for
the end zone and got it. So Cincinnati, uh strikes
first in this game? All right, Chargers and Raiders game
just under way and on a third down, Herbert, I
don't know if they get a sack. He started through
the ball the way would you call this a sack?

(02:26:33):
Watch the replay on this one, Rich, So it was
a third and five for the Chargers near midfield right now.
He gets hit and then he throws the ball as
he was going down. They called an incomplete pass. A
fourth and five for the Chargers. This is a critical
game for the Chargers. You're on the road against the Raiders.
Raiders are feeling better about themselves if he missed that.
Josh Jacobs had an insane game last week, Like huge

(02:26:56):
numbers for the Raiders, um, but the Chargers are hanging
on you others six and five. You feel like they've
had a few breaks go their way just to survive
the injuries and subpart play by their defense. But you
gotta win this game. I mean, it's in Vegas. I
get it. Raiders are feeling a little bit better about themselves.
But if you're the Chargers, and you want to continue

(02:27:18):
to stay alive in the wild card chase, you gotta
win this game. Well, let's put it this way. Yes,
but if you drop to six and six and you
look forward to the next couple, you got the Dolphins,
you got the Titans, you got the Colts, the Rams,
and the Broncos to finish the season. Either way, you're
finishing the season with three games you should win, should

(02:27:41):
win against the Dolphins, Colts, Rams, Broncos. Is how you
finish those three? Yes? So so I look at I
look at their record right now, and I say, yeah,
if you get your seventh win here today, you could
still drop two games in a row and finish as
a ten win team if you win the final three. Right, So,
it is an important game. I'm not going to say

(02:28:03):
that the Chargers are gonna lose automatically to the Titans
or the Dolphins. Titans look really bad today against a
very talented Philadelphia team, and they've had some some bad
losses this season. And the Dolphins look overall, I think
they've been excellent. But the Chargers have been pretty good
defensively against some high powered offenses. They gave the San

(02:28:23):
Francisco forty Niners all they could handle. H One team
we haven't talked about today I want to ask you
about is the Patriots, who sit alone in last place
right now in the a f C East after not
a not a good loss on Thursday night, and we
saw Mac Jones frustration spill over on the sidelines about
play calling and everything else. What what do you think

(02:28:43):
is happening there in New England? Well, I I think
he's frustrated, obviously, and he addressed it after the game.
He was talking about the short game, not not testing
the deep part of the field. And you know, unfortunately
for Mac, like you gotta look at yourself in the mirror,
the reason why the Patriots aren't trusting the deep part
of the field for your game is because you haven't
proven to them that you are that type of quarterback

(02:29:05):
who that they can trust consistently to pump the football
down the field. Now, he made it sound like, oh, look,
you know, it's just an emotional game, and I got
emotional and nothing is he here. But but I think
there are serious issues on that offense, and I think
it starts with who their quarterbacks. Well, let me ask
you this, having played for Bill Belichick, does he appreciate
one of his players screaming at an assistant coach on

(02:29:27):
the sideline, you better be a good one, you better
be a great one. He didn't seem to have a
problem with Tom Brady and Bill O'Brien getting after it
on the sideline, or Josh McDaniels getting af there on
the sideline. But you're talking about arguably the greatest quarterback
to ever play the game of football. Yeah, you know
Mac Jones. Ain't that all right? So if you're the
Patriots right now, Mac Jones Errigos, a rookie, played well enough,

(02:29:51):
helped that team get into the postseason. He hasn't looked
as good this year. A lot of quarterbacks have sophomore slops.
It's not unprecedented. Is this still the guy you're building
in your future run? If you're the New England Patriots, well,
if you don't have a high draft pick, you kind
of have to because you took him fifteenth overall. But
New England is a classic team of giving players, even

(02:30:12):
good ones, high paid players, or I shouldn't say good one,
but high paid players are high draft picks a short
leash and so very easily I could see the Patriots
moving on from Mac Jones next year. I think they'll
probably give him a chance through training camp. I think
they they'll probably give it a go, making it a competition,
maybe through this offseason with Belli's appy. But do I

(02:30:34):
think they go back into the draft and get a
first round quarterback? No? Probably not. All right, So the
Raiders take over right now, no score in their game
and Josh Jacobs uh is really running the ball well.
And remember the Raiders did not pick up his fifth
year option, which means he's a free agent at the
end of this year. And he is currently the hottest
running back in the NFL. Yeah, he's been running the

(02:30:57):
football the way that he did a year ago. Like that,
the Josh Jacobs that you're seeing now is the jock
j Josh Jacobs that came storming into league out of Alabama. Like,
there's a really talented guy. Well, how much market is
therefore running back these days? I mean, we've seen too
many teams get burned by giving big money to free
agent running backs that have not produced. Always a market

(02:31:18):
for running backs. It depends on the team. It also
depends on the player. I think I think he will
be paid. I I don't think it's gonna be like, uh,
like a girly contract. It's not gonna be uh Derrick
Henry contract. He's gonna be paid like a role player
on offense. Because the truth is, over the course of
his career with the Raiders, it's been mostly good, but

(02:31:41):
he's had some downtimes. He's had some injuries. Interesting on
this Bengals Chiefs game. Bengals making some big hits on
their defense right now. Uh, it looks like they are
a little more fired up for this rematch against the Chiefs,
at least early on. Let's hear the forty Niners get
on the board. He's gonna throw off, right, why don't
us check touchdown? San fran Cisco Mr Relevant hits Kyle

(02:32:10):
use Check with a touchdown pass, chicking out the forty Niners.
The lead can b R forty Niners Radio Network. So
just like that. After spotting the Dolphins in early seven
nothing lead, forty Niners have now taken the lead ten
to seven. Um, you know, I've been looking at the
numbers of Christian McCaffrey. He hasn't really stood out, but
early on in this game, he's been very productive he

(02:32:31):
already has twenty seven yards rushing forty receiving. You almost
feel like and they have so many tools to use
offensively that they barely they're still trying to figure out
how do we get even more out of McCaffrey. I
just feel like as we moved towards the end of
the season, we're gonna see more and more production out
of Christian McCaffrey. Yeah. Absolutely. He obviously was made a

(02:32:55):
major part of the game plan the first week he
was in town. That doesn't mean he isn't uh part
of the game plan. It means that they have a
lot of mouths around the offense to feed and so
you can feature one piece at a time. Hey, you know,
this week, because of how this team, you know, defends
the running back, we see a great avenue for success
from McCaffrey, So we're gonna highlight him. You know. Sometimes

(02:33:17):
it's weaknesses against defending tight end, so it's gonna be
highlighting Kittle. Sometimes it's uh deep past defense that really
struggles with explosive plays. Will you highlight Debot? You know,
they have to find a way to exploit defenses first,
and then all of these guys will eat as long
as you have a quarterback who can throw the ball

(02:33:39):
around and early on Brock Party doing a nice job
of it after Jimmy Garoppolo leaves with the injury. All right,
now that now the Chiefs are rolling. They just ran
for first down, so the Chief's on the move, trying
to tie up this game against the Bengals. This game
looks like it's gonna live up to the hype. All right,
coming up on the other side, we'll get you ready
for tonight's game. Tomorrow's game. Also thoughts about the matchups

(02:33:59):
in the college football Playoff. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio, Steve Harvey, Rich Harnburger Fox Sports or Red
Zone Radio live from the ti iraq dot com studios.
I want to thank all the guys today. First of all,
Iowa Sam, who Doug deep in his pocket today to
bring in two pizza pies. Yes, good man, I saw

(02:34:21):
Bo here. De Bo participated in any pizza eating. No,
both Rich and Bo declined in the same pizza listen, diet.
I'm sure that there are other guys up front that
are willing to dig into that. Yeah, no question about
mons Blogosh incredible as you, Thank you very much, Thank
you mony. Is she still talking? Oh, she's doing enough? Alright,

(02:34:45):
very good. I like that. Uh. And of course Ryan
is our brilliant producer and he has produced this fabulous guest.
It's time for the NFL Fox Focus, So it is
right now to talk about the tie today of the
NFC East Rivals watching Commanders and the New York Giants.

(02:35:08):
Is our dear friend Jonathan Vilma joining us once again. Well, Jonathan,
nobody likes a tie. What did you make of this
game today? I thought two teams that one played really
really hard too. They both have a lot of confidence
in their scheme, the players, and they have a lot

(02:35:29):
of resilience. They're very good at handling adversity, and that's
why it ended up in the tide. There were obviously
some mistakes, but there was a lot of good football
from both sides. When you look at Taylor Heineke and
I think he's probably not received the level of a
claim that maybe even he deserves for the way this
season began with Carson Wentz and what they've looked like

(02:35:49):
since he's taken over as a starting quarterback. What do
you see what special or intangible about the way he
plays football and how has he helped turn around this
season for the Commanders. The first thing is he doesn't
turn the football over. He avoids sacks as much as possible,
so he's always keeping the offense in normal situations, you know,

(02:36:11):
staying out of those negative situations. And because of that,
the defense rallies behind him. And when you have a
really good defense playing the way that they do, the
run game has really gotten going with Brian Robinson playing
now Hitler. Heineke understands when it's time to manage the
game and when it's time to take over. Again. In
the fourth quarter last series, he had to take over,

(02:36:32):
and he did until then. He's not going to force
the youth you and that's what makes him so great.
So looking down the road, both these teams obviously very
much in the playoff picture right now, Jonathan, how seriously
do we take these two teams because nobody was predicting
before the season that the Commanders and the Giants are
going to be in the playoff conversation. So, with four

(02:36:52):
or five games remaining for each one of these teams,
how much damage, if any, could they do in the playoffs.
They could do a ton of damage, especially if they're
facing whoever wins the division in the NFC South, that's
gonna be a very even match up if if anything,
they may be favored of talking about Washington or the

(02:37:13):
Giants if they face NFCY South Division winner. Uh, then
you look at the other teams that they're competing against,
with the Seahawks possibly in that uh wild card spot.
I can see them easily beating the Seahawks for the
wild card spot. And then you're now going up against
a couple of the other division winners, and anything can

(02:37:35):
happen when you're in the playoffs. As long as you
can run the football that always travels well, as long
as you take care of the football that always travels well,
they'll find themselves in any matchup. When you look at
Daniel Jones, do you see a quarterback who could lead
a team to a Super Bowl win? Well, I mean
that's a loaded question. How many quarterbacks that are playing

(02:37:56):
right now I've led their teams to the Super Bowl
win besides Rogers very uh Stafford, Right, there's not too
many out there. So it's hard to say yeah, your name,
because you need a lot more than just the quarterback.
Unless it's the top tier upper echelon quarterback in their prime.
So right now they have a defense that's playing well.

(02:38:17):
The run game is getting there. As long as they
get healthy again, taking care of the football, running the football,
playing good defense, they'll have a shot in any game.
We don't see a lot of ties in the NFL.
I don't know how many you were involved with, Jonathan,
But if so, how is it to walk off the
field in a tie game in the NFL? I was
never in a tie fortunately, and I have no idea

(02:38:40):
how it feels to walk off. I'd probably be more
mad than anything, only because I played for about three
and a half hours and got no results would be
pretty annoying. Well, this tie could be critical, no question,
Rich and I were talking about Jonathan once we get
down to the final chase. As far as wild cards
are concerned, we always appreciate your time Aonathan, thanks so

(02:39:00):
much for joining us today. Thank you, guys, Take care.
That's Jonathan Vilma there. Again. The Giants and the Commanders
played to a tie, uh today, and again that could
be very critical. So the Giants are now seven four
and one. The Commanders, who actually have a bye week
next week. Uh, they are seven five and one. Meanwhile,
the Chargers scored on a pick six, So that's how

(02:39:25):
the Chargers have done nothing offensively in this game. Justin
Herbert has five yards passing, but a pick six by
Callahan Bryce Callahan for the Chargers has given the Charges
and Raiders. Yeah, you look at the Raiders, they just
seem like they're playing differently today. Defensively, there is a

(02:39:45):
lot more effort. I would argue that I can see
it's noticeable up front, especially they're trying to get to Herbert.
They're trying to make it hard on him. They are
dominating this offensive line early on in the past and
the run game. So we'll see with the with the
balance of this first half is gonna look like so far,
tough sliding for the Chargers offensively though, But again Raiders

(02:40:07):
find a way to self destruct and they're trailing in
this game seven nothing. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have a second
and goal at the Rams four yard line. Rams lead
this game by a score of ten to seven. Geno
Smith already off and running. He's seven of eleven hundred
twenty yards and a touchdown, second in the league and
passing efficiency right now, behind to a tongue of by Loa.

(02:40:28):
By the way, Fort and I still lead the Dolphins
by a score of ten to seven, and the Bengals
are leading the Chiefs by a score of seven to three.
Uh in this game battle of the two quarterbacks. Suddenly
offensive explosions slow down a little bit here. Yeah yeah,
well you're gonna see that because both of these teams
also have good defenses as well. I think Cincinnati all

(02:40:50):
the way since the Super Bowl run, has had one
of the more underrated defenses in the league. In the Chiefs,
they've got stars, especially up front on this defensive front.
To Watson play Cowboys cover ten and a half tonight
at home against the Colts. Yeah, I'm into it. Yeah,
I think the I got the Cowboys by bunch. Keep
me here on Fox Sports Radio.
