to kick off seven games around the NFL. Here's the
Rundown Jets at the Bills, Browns at the Bengals, Texans
at the Cowboys, Vikings at the Lions, Jaguars at the Titans,
Eagles at the Giants, and Ravens at the Steelers. By
the way, six teams are off as the final bye
(00:46):
week in the NFL. Falcons, Bears, Packers, Colts, Saints and
Commanders stay homes. Only thirteen games this week in the NFL.
And Ritchie, here we are Week fourteen. Can we leave it?
Week fourteen and the NF fell and we got some
really interesting games today. It's hard to believe it really
is that we're getting close to that time of the
(01:07):
year where everybody get your fantasy football lineup set because
this is when it starts mattering. And boy, oh boy,
are the cream rising to the top in the NFL.
We're starting to realize, Okay, you know, maybe some of
these teams who had early surges aren't as good as
we thought. And maybe some of these teams who we
thought could be great are starting to show signs of greatness.
(01:31):
Like the Cowboys for example. Uh, they put together an
absolute monster of a game last week. They'll take on
the Texans this week, so you assume their hopes are
pretty good for them kicking off this morning. But there's
a lot of teams like that. Minnesota, you know, Detroit's
coming around right there, You mentioned Minnesota and Detroit. So
(01:51):
this week the line came out the Vikings at ten
and two on the road against the five and seven Lions,
and the lines are favored by two and a half points.
In fact, Dan Campbell, the coach of the lines, was asked,
are you surprise? You guys are? Do we have it?
This is Dan Campbell being asked about being favored against
(02:13):
the ten and two Vikings. We can't bet, so you
know that's illegal. I'll get banned for life from this
league if I so so since we can't bet it,
it has no bearing on us. Um I mean, I'm
I'm I'm shocked by that. But there again, it doesn't.
All those things don't matter, point spread, whose favorite, it
(02:33):
doesn't this. This team finds ways to win. And if
we're not ready to go and we don't handle our business,
it's gonna take every one of us coaches and players
to win this game. That's what I do now, because
they've got they got plenty over there. And there again,
a team that finds ways to win, those are dangerous teams,
all right. So he said he was shocked. I think
a lot of people are shocked. But this is a
(02:54):
Vikings team ten and two. Nine of their ten wins
have been one score wins. They've won every single close
game they've been involved with. They got blown out by
the Cowboys, but the oddsmakers are saying it's gonna catch
up to them. The Lions are playing good football right now.
They're at home, and so it's not often that you
see the Lions favored against anybody, but against a ten
(03:15):
and two Vikings team, they are favored. Yeah, correct, and
and it's uh, it's pretty impressive to realize what that
means the Lions are finally real. I mean, because we're
talking about arguably one of the better teams in the
NFC right now, and the lines are favored, and and
Vegas doesn't miss. That's the whole point. Every time we
talk about one of these games, rich Vegas is right always.
(03:38):
I mean, does the house get be occasionally, sure, yeah,
I mean it gets beat occasionally, but on occasion. I mean,
the most part. The reason why the Vegas Las Vegas
Desert is air conditioned, it's because they're making a whole
lot of money off of miss bets, because they have
some of the most talented handicappers in the business putting
those spreads together. So I buy it. The Lines are
(04:00):
really good team too. I've been respected what Dan Campbell
has done over the past two seasons, now making believers
out of the team and now finally getting some wins
as a result of that belief. It's it's huge one
game right now. I'm watching the Eagles and the Giants,
and the Giants, after rattling off six wins and their
first seven games, have suddenly lost three of their last
(04:22):
four games plus a tie, so they haven't had a
win since their win over the Texans, So they're in
a bit of a slide right now, and if you
look at the remainder of their schedule, not easy. They
got the Eagles at home today on the road against
the Commanders that could be a playoff elimination game at
the Vikings Colts at home, and then they end up
in Philadelphia. So for the Eagles, who got off to
(04:44):
again that six and one start again, a team that
was winning every single close game early in the season,
you feel like this game at home against the Eagles
is a survival game if the Giants are gonna make
the postseason. And the Giants were putting together a little
bit of a drive here and then Niel Jones got
sacked on a second down play, so they're facing a
third and seventeen and he sacked again. My goodness. This
(05:08):
Eagles team team, not just offense. We talk a lot
of offense in the NFL these days, but this whole
team special team is really good. Their defense really good,
especially at rushing the passer. And the part of the
reason why the Giants have struggled a little bit is
because the run game isn't as as pronounced as it
was to start the season. So They're really gonna have
to rely on DJ here, Daniel Jones to get the
(05:30):
job done. He's been sacked twice on their first offensive series.
All Right. Another team that got off to that fast
start was the Jets, the other New York team. They
started the year five and two. They have now lost
three of their last five games. Are on the road
against the Bills, huge underdog today. They're gonna wrap up
with Lions at home, Jags at home, at Seattle at Miami.
(05:50):
Not an easy run. So, you know, we talked earlier
about what was the biggest surprise early in the season.
No doubt it was the start of the Jets and
the Giants. No one had that. I guess Seattle obviously
as well, teams that you didn't expect to have any
kind of season, and they got off to terrific starts
this year. But this is also a Jets team that's
sort of sitting there now and Mike White. And is
(06:11):
Mike White the guy we saw two weeks ago gonna
show up or the guy last week that had some
inconsistencies to say the least. Yeah, Look, I mean Mike White,
he's got his hands full. Here. Here's the deal. When
you're a backup quarterback. I'm not saying it's easy, but
it can be easy when all of a sudden you're
called into action. Easier, i should say, when you're called
(06:32):
into action and the defense isn't prepared to see you. Uh,
they have four games last season to look at and
review and and you're sort of an unknown quantity. But
but give them some recent game film and these defensive
coordinators will start to pick you apart. Now, was he
the whole reason the Jets loss last week? No? But
(06:53):
was he contributor? Yeah? And going again to much better defense. Uh,
this morning or I should say this early afternoon, depending
on the coast you're on. Uh. Absolutely in Buffalo and
they're playing in Buffalo. Important game in division for the Bills.
This is gonna be a tough night or tough day
for Mike White. Yeah. Bill still in the running very
much to get to number one overall seats, so they're
(07:15):
trying to get as many wins as they can. Another
interesting game, great rivalry the Browns and the Bengals. Bengals
on a role right now. They won eight of their
last ten games. Course they own the Kansas City Chiefs.
They won three and out on their opening drive, Joe
Burrow over to over two to start. This is Deshaun
Watson's second game last week, a bizarre game in which
(07:35):
a team scored twenty seven points without actually having an
offensive touchdown to defensive touchdowns and a punt return for
a touchdown. But Deshaun Watson's first two passes in this
game complete complete Tomari Cooper and David Bell so too
for two thirty one yards to start this one. But
if you're the Cleveland Browns, this is the team you
(07:56):
know you're gonna have to beat over the next five
or six years. He made a commitment to on Watson,
and now the Bengals of Joe Burrow are I think
the class. I mean, I'm not really sure where we
are with the Ravens. Obviously the injury to Lamar Jackson
put some doubt. But you're paying DeShawn Watson two hundred
thirty million dollars eventually to beat that team, Cincinnati Bengals.
(08:17):
That's the whole story. That's the reason why they paid
that contract is because of Joe Burrow. If it weren't
for Joe Burrow, you may be able to survive that
division because you knew Ben was gonna retire Lamar Jackson,
he's been injured something. But Joe Burrow is the whole
show right now, and and you have to, you absolutely
have to if you're going to compete in this league,
(08:39):
have a great quarterback. Is Tyler Huntley great? My guess
is no, But we don't know yet. Maybe he is.
Maybe if he becomes a starter somewhere or in Baltimore,
if they don't get the deal done with Lamar, maybe
he will be. But if you're telling me, who do
you have to compete against? If you're Joe Burrow in
this division? Deshaun Watson coming off of almost two years
(08:59):
of not playing a kid in Kenny pick it out
in Pittsburgh and Tyler Huntley a backup in Baltimore. Yeah,
I'm I'm a believer in the in the Bengals this
year out of that that North Division. By the way,
you mentioned the Lamar Jackson injury. Ravens on the road
against the steel As I was listening to the guys
this morning, this line has not moved to the Steelers,
are you know two point dogs at home against this
(09:21):
Ravens team. Obviously, you know Kenny pickt he only I
think he only has four touchdown passes this year, so
they're not generating any offense. And the Ravens without Lamar
Jackson are definitely challenged. You over under in this game
was just thirty six and a half um by the way.
But Kenny Pickett is getting better. He's getting better, but
they're not getting in the end zone. No, no, you
(09:43):
know between the twenties. Now he's moving the ball a
little bit better. I don't know, have have we ever
gone this deep into the show without a single score, guys.
I mean, we're about to take our first break here
and we don't even have a field goal. Zeros everywhere
you look, we don't have. Boys are close. They're down
to the eleven yard line right now against the hapless Texans.
(10:05):
So we're just getting started. We'll keep you up to
date all day long on what's going on around the NFL.
Seven games right now, more games to come. Keep it
right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This
is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place
that you may admits. Second down in short, there's a
(10:28):
little reverse to Pollard coming right with a convot to
the five and he dances in touchdown Pollard. Now back
live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is
Fox Red Zone Radio. All right, that's the Dallas Cowboys
Radio network. Didn't take long against the hapless Texans. Seven
(10:49):
nothing Cowboys and Texans have just punted. Wait a second,
I think they did. They punted, but guess what. The
cow Boys fumble the punt return and the Texans recover. Right,
nine minutes to go on the first quarter of Texans
in business. Meanwhile, the Titans got on the board. Panna
(11:09):
Hill snaps, yips, Henry lift guard touxta Titan. Yes, all right,
he jumped, he landed, he scored, and the Titans are
on the board. W g F X one or four
point five Titans Radio Network. This is a game. The
Titans have to win seven and five on the season
against the four and a Jaguars. Let's get one more score.
(11:33):
Courtesy of Little Red Hot Lions golf play acts are
fake time in the pocket, looks looks first, Topeka made
one open HiT's up the zone, touchdown Detroit Lions. Samson Williams,
Welcome to the Troy w x Y T FM ninety one,
the Ticket Lions Radio Network. That's why the Lions are
(11:53):
favored against the Tenant two Vikings. Welcome back. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio where alive from the ti
iraq dot COM's duty. And we got another touchdown Miles
Sanders on a three yard rush up the middle. So
the Eagles are on the board first in New York
seven nothing over the Giants. That was a long drive
man four team plays, eighty four yards. They ticked eight
(12:15):
minutes off the clock before scoring with the Sanders plunge,
and it was the Giants wore on the field for
only five plays. Daniel Jones sacked twice on that drive
before having to punt, and so that may be the
kind of day that the Giants offense is gonna have
unless they protect Daniel Jones better because they were getting
to them easy and early in this game. So far.
(12:37):
So the Eagles came into today with eleven one record,
Cowboys at nine and three. Cowboys are playing great football
right now, but they just may not catch the Eagles,
which means they will be a wild card, which means
they would probably on the road against the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers in their first playoff game. Now we saw Tom
Brady and the Bucks once again, seven teen points That's
(12:58):
basically what they do every week. But it was dramatic.
They came from behind and Tom Brady did his magic
on Monday Night escaping with that victory against the Saints.
If you were the Cowboys on the road against Tom
Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, would you be nervous?
Oh yeah, I I look. It is my suggestion of
(13:19):
any coach or any player who is going to be
in a playoff game against Tom Brady, be nervous because
if you're not, if you think it's gonna be a
cake walk because it's been a down year for the Buccaneers,
you got another thing coming. That's a dangerous man. And
we saw that in that game against the Saints Monday
Night football. They needed fourteen points for the win, and
he was able to march twice and do so in
(13:42):
consecutive drives. For the Buccaneers, their defense held up great
three three and outs back to back to back to
finish that game. And then, oh by the way, Baker
Mayfield followed that up with a Thursday night performance almost
identical situation. Uh down three. I like the fact that
you are now putting Bake or Mayfield in the conversation
with Tom Brady. Well, this week he has to be Yeah,
(14:05):
let me ask you a quickly, Mayfield, because we talked
a lot about this yesterday from and I about where
we got now go with uh, you know Baker Mayfield. Now, obviously,
depending on the Matthew Stafford situation, if you're a Ramsey,
might as well shut him down for the rest of
the year. No reason to bring him back. So you
get Baker Mayfield a chance to do what he had
hoped to do in Carolina was sort of show hey,
(14:26):
I've got something here. Could not get it done in Carolina.
Now all of a sudden people are buzzing about Baker Mayfield.
But how do you think this is gonna play out
for him? With the Rams? That again they have no
offensive line, that running game doesn't really exist. He made
some unbelievable throws, especially on that last yard no time
out drop. I mean he was throwing dimes out there.
(14:48):
So where where where do you think this is how
this is gonna play off for Baker Mayfield. Well, I
think he's the Rams starter for the rest of the year.
By the way, Baltimore on the board now first in
Pittsburgh against the Steelers three things scored their first quarter
for remaining there. But I think he's the starter. Baker
Mayfield is for the remainder of the season. I think
(15:08):
that Matthew Stafford, to your point with the spinal conclusion,
that's gonna be a season for him, and since they
paid him, he'll most likely be their starter next year.
But let's be honest with each other. If Baker has
an insanely good season and all of a sudden he
starts making you question about the future at that position,
(15:28):
if all of a sudden you think, well, maybe we're
better with Baker. Is it? Is it inarguable that less
need might be trying to shop a trade. Well, again,
it depends on the physical condition of Matthew Stafford. I mean,
he almost got a sense all those years getting beat
up in Detroit and finally he gets a chance to
be on a contending team and has a dream finished
(15:51):
winning the Super Bowl, and Stafford, does he really need
to continue on? And I mean maybe, just maybe, right.
I mean, he's got plenty of money, you know, and
he's he's doing his commercial spots. He's certainly cash in
on his fame of winning the Super Bowl. So it's
gonna be very interesting playing out with Baker Mayfield. For
(16:12):
at least at the end of that game, he looked dynamite.
I mean, it wasn't just finding way to win. I'm
just looking at the eyeball test like he was making
some unbelievable throws. All right, what do we got here, Sam,
that's scared the Eagles getting on the board. Hand off Sanders,
Sanders touchdown, my old fenders touchdown, Lumber nine. All right,
(16:34):
that's w i P. Eagles Radio Network. So the Eagles
taking the early seven nothing lead on the road against
the Giants. Meanwhile, we mentioned the Texans had a punt
and the Cowboys fumbled the punt return, and that has
now resulted in Damien Pierce run for a touchdown. So
the Cowboys and Texans tied at seven. Cowboys came into
(16:55):
this game favored by seventeen points at home. So the
Tennessee Titans. They scored the touchdown on their opening drive.
Jacksonville gets the ball back punts. On the second drive,
Tannehill is sacked fumbles the football way, so Jacksonville takes
over again and uh it is first and ten from
the Tennessee twenty. Also, the Vikings trailing the Lions seven
(17:19):
nothing have a second and one there at the Detroit
thirteen yard line. Curious line. Even Dan Campbell, the coach
of the Lions, was hast about being favored against the
Tenantwo Vikings team. I don't know why this is a
broken record, whether or not we should buy into the Vikings,
who obviously have the second best record in the NFL
right now at ten and two. You said, I not.
(17:40):
They keep winning close games, all right? Yeah, they keep
winning close Nine out of ten wins have been one
score wins. I don't know why that would stop. I mean,
they have figured out the formula this season. Kevin O'Connell
doing a tremendous job his first year head coaching, and
Kirk Cousins, who has never known is a guy to
win close games, has suddenly found the magic. Yeah, he
(18:04):
really has. He looks completely different with Kevin O'Connell as
the head coach there. He just seems like, you know,
he trusts himself more in those situations, is what I see,
and it's look, that's what it takes his confidence. You
heard the sound clip from two a Tongue of Voloa
two weeks ago when he was talking about Mike McDaniel
and the impact he's had on him too, is having
(18:25):
a fantastic year. He needed his confidence built back up.
He's the same quarterback he was winning all those games
in college. But sometimes you need a voice in your
head who believes in you, who trust you, who tells
you how good you are. There's no doubt they're not
shopping another quarterback. You're our guy. Well, Kevin O'Connell clearly
has instilled something in Kirk cousins, because not only is
(18:46):
he made a believer out of himself, but he's made
a believer out of his team. You remember earlier in
the season there on a flight home, he's got the
chains from every single one of the players on the
defense and he's dancing with his shirt off. I mean,
this team loves Kirk Cousins and he's got them down
in the low red zone against the Ryan lines. Right now.
Who leads seven nothing against the Vikings in Detroit by
the way, Jets Bills no score yet. Remember the last
(19:10):
time these two teams played at New York, Josh Allen
got sacked five times. That defensive front of the Jets
hit him like he had never been hit before, and
they're off and running again. Josh Allen's already been sacked
once in this game. He's just one of four for
six yards. So that Jets defensive front I think might
(19:30):
be a little bit in the head of Josh Allen. Now,
Mike White right now is five of a forty yards.
Jets have the ball. Actually the Bill has just called
the ball back. No score in this game. But yeah,
when you get beating like he did in that game earlier,
it's got to be in the back of your mind, right, Oh. Absolutely,
And they've punted twice so far in this game as
a result. The Jacksonville Jaguars just tied up this game
(19:53):
in Tennessee. It is seven seven. I'm looking for the score.
Let's see exact actually how they got in. It was
an Evan Ingram pass from Trevor Lawrence for twelve yards,
good for the touchdown, extra point tagged on. So yeah,
it's all seven's in Tennessee. All right, let's hear the
Texans score. Drisk All behind the center. Here's the snap.
(20:16):
Here's the gift of Piers taking it over the right
guard the dot. He's got it, touchdown, Houston. The Texas
capitalize on the turnover and drive it into the end
zone answering the Dallas score. All right, Texans Radio Network.
So Cowboys and Texans tied seven all five and a
half minutes ago in the first quarter. There Welcome to

All right, let's find out what is trending right now?
Is we welcome in and she's here every single one
(21:00):
day with us? How are you? I am so happy
to be here again with you guys hanging out today.
We actually have rain today in southern California, which just
throws everything off, it really does. I had to leave
early just because people don't know how to drive in.
When I say people, I mean me. So I just
had to leave early because I was like, I'm not
gonna I'm not gonna risk it, and we want to
(21:21):
have a raincode. I was like, I'm like looking at
the boys, and I'm like today this morning it was
it was, it came and went and it would stop,
but then it was real hard for a couple of minutes.
It's it's been a good morning. And and then you
know the good thing isn't have to do my hair
when it rains. So that is the positive, guys to
two games are still scoreless out of the seven that
(21:43):
we got going on in the NFL. The Jets and
the Bills are scoreless, and the Browns and the Bengals
are scoreless. Did you see that the Browns put in
Jacoby Brissette when they were four and one instead of
letting Deshaun Watson go for it? Did you guys see
that on fourth and one? It was fourth and one
and then they brought Jacoby Brissett and he threw it.
He tried to throw a touchdown pass and it didn't work.
(22:04):
But just for that one play and they took Deshaun
Watson out that's four yards. Why would you bring in
Brissette on the fourth down ploy? I don't know, figure
you guys know people in the business ask why they
did that, because I thought it made no sense, totally right.
The Texans and the Cowboys are tied at seven a
(22:26):
piece with less than four minutes to go in the
first quarter, and so are the Vikings in the Lions
tide at seven apiece. We actually have a couple of
games that are tied, including the Jaguars and the Titans
tied at seven halfway through the first quarter. The Eagles
are up on the Giants in New York seven zero.
Jalen Hurts has already completed ten of twelve passes for
seventy one yards. And the Ravens, who are playing without
Lamar Jackson, they have Tyler Huntley in as a starting quarterback.
(22:50):
They're up on the Steelers by a field goal three
zero with three minutes to go in the first quarter.
Back to you guys on this gloomy day, well gloomy
but always glorious. We have NFL football, Monsey. Thanks so much.
We'll check in with you a little bit later on.
I'm watching this Jets Bills game and the Bills are rattled.
I mean, they're at home, they just had an illegal
(23:11):
procedure call. They're sitting on first and twenty and Josh
Allen's throwing its spots where there are no receivers right now,
So he is a little discombobulated going against this Jets front.
Keep the highlights coming here, Sam, it's a flint left
to Delphin. He cuts to the right into the end zone, touchdown.
Fames that is KFAM Innneapolis and the Vikings Radio networks.
(23:36):
After spotting the Lions of score. The Vikings answer back
that game is tied at seven. Four minutes to go
on the first quarter. Jacks have gotten on the board,
dropping him throw his Trevor scrambling to his right, fired
up as caught by ev to the five into the
end zone. Touchdown, got the touchdown for Jacksonville. W j
x L A M ten ten FM Jaguars Radio Network.
(23:58):
So the jackson Titans tied at seven inside six minutes
ago in the first quarter. So j K Dobbins, who
is back in action, is in that zone against the
Pittsburgh Steelers. He's basically done it all himself this drive.
So he was activated off of the injury reserve and
he's finally back in the action and he's making his impact.
(24:21):
Felt He's already got five rushes for over fifty yards
on the day, plus a rushing touchdown, and so j
K Dobbins making his impact felt against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Baltimore leading nine nothing in Pittsburgh right now, extra point
coming shortly, Yeah, right now, cann he pick it off
to rough start. The Steelers have negative seven net yards passing.
(24:45):
So the Ravens defense doing a number on the rookie
quarterbacks so far and again winning on this extra point
right now, Ravens trying to get to a ten to
nothing lead. Uh, Bengals and Browns. Let's go back to
the Bengals for a second here after their big victory
against the Chiefs. Borrow now owns Patrick Mahomes. That's three
straight wins. For some reason, they're not intimidated by Kansas City.
(25:08):
We always see teams go against the Chiefs. Maybe they
get an early touchdown panic, but let's go for two.
We gotta score a lot of points. The one thing
you have to say about the Bengals, I don't know
if they're winning ways will continue against Kansas City. But
the one thing you have to say is they don't
fear the Chiefs. No, No, they don't. Well because they
have one too and they know it. When you have
a guy like Joe Burrow, like a Patrick Mahomes. You know,
(25:31):
hopefully a better team is built around him and they
can stay healthier out in l A for Justin Herbert
like a special talent at quarterback who can truly carry
the team a Tom Brady. And in Tampa Bay, well
you feel you feel like your potential is limitless. So
who who do you really fear? Well, you don't have
to worry about the Kansas City Chiefs necessarily if you
(25:53):
have just of an elite of a quarterback as they have,
and they do Joe Burrow. Now does he have the
years of experience yet? No? Does he have the Super
Bowl victories? Note? Does he have the m v P?
Not yet, but all that's coming. You can see it.
This guy's special And as long as since he keeps
building around him, I certainly hope they do. I certainly
hope they can afford to pay him and then put
(26:15):
together a roster with you know, a bunch of guaranteed
bonuses that other teams like the Kansas City Chiefs for example,
have done. But Cincinnati, unfortunately, the franchise is one of
those franchises who doesn't like to spend. Could it change
with a player like him? Maybe? Uh might be unlikely.
We'll see what the future holds for them. By the way,
spaking of quarterbacks, yesterday, Caleb Williams announced as the winner
(26:37):
of the Heisman Trophy. I can make it official now
that the vote has been announced. The top three in
the voting Caleb Williams, Max Duggan and c J. Stroud
was my one two three on my final ballot. So
I was in unison. Uh there but eight quarterbacks in
the top ten um and a couple are not coming back.
Michael Pannox has said he's gonna stay at Washington another year.
(26:59):
He been Shade Drake May obviously a red shirt freshman.
Caleb Williams, he made it clear in his speech unfinished business,
so he definitely, at least at this point, has his
mindset on coming back full throttle. But Bryce Young, who
won the award last year, finished six in the voting
and the Texans probably sitting on that number one overall pick.
We talked about a guy like Joe Burrow, he came
(27:21):
into this league, had an immediate impact. Do you see
that potentially Bryce Young that seems to be the universal
choice Reisman Trophy winner last year of Alabama. And by
the way, Alabama quarterbacks. Jalen Hurts do a tongue of
violoa Mac Jones. Recent success for these Alabama quarterbacks. So
do you look at Bryce Young in that ilk that
if he goes to a bad team like the Texans,
(27:42):
he can make an impact. Yeah. I was about to say, well,
good luck in Houston, because unfortunately that's where you're head
and Bryce Young. Um, we have a another touchdown in
this Tennessee Titans Jacksonville Jaguars game. This game is being
played in Tennessee and it was on kon Quu who
caught the Ryan Tannehill pass ten yards in the end zone.
(28:02):
Extra point good. So they leave fourteen seven and Tannehill
had to celebrate from his back because he was under pressure,
was hit as he threw, but able to get that
one in. So Tennessee leads that game fourteen seven right
now over the Jacks. Yeah. By the way, Derrick Henry
off to a hot start. He had a fifty yard
non touchdown running this game. Ten carries, eighty four yards
(28:24):
and a score. Already. Let's hear that Titan score. Danniehill
dropic looking firing over the middle, a cock like the
five across the goal line. Touch that Titan chick a
cock Boa win a big time effort w g F
X one or four point five Titans radio network. So
(28:45):
fourteen seven Titans over the Jags three minutes ago in
the first quarter. There, let's hear that latest Ravens score.
Doppins on the right side, double pumps, lunches touchdown a
Ravens J. K. Thomas just whilling his through a traffic
jam of Steelers at their Ravens on back to back
running place extent their lead Nanny Rock Ravens Radio Network.
(29:09):
So the Ravens have the ten nothing laid on the
road against the Steelers. So you're sold on Bryce Young
and C. J. Stratt obviously will be another guy that'll
be a first round pick coming out of Ohio State. Yeah, yeah,
I mean this is uh, this is this is the
way the NFL goes on. This is why everybody loves
NFL during the spring is if your team stunk and
they have a high draft pick, you have an opportunity
(29:30):
now to get much better. I'm really curious to see
what the Seattle Seahawks do with their high draft pick
that they got from the Denver Broncos. Will let me
stop it right there. I mean, I've seen enough of
of you know, Geno Smith to tell me that they're
okay at quarterback. They have other needs on that team.
I'm I'm interested to see what they do, but I
agree with you. If I was the GM, I'm thinking
(29:50):
I'm gonna improve the team around Gino based off what
I've seen this season. Bot we also know it's very
alluring having the top pick or one of the top
picks in the draft with a draft is talented. As
we've been told coming out of college football that we've
seen over the college football season, there's a lot of
talent coming out at the quarterback position, no question. Uh
So we'll see. But yeah, there's gonna be a couple
(30:11):
of questions that need to be answered later after the season,
but still a lot of questions need to be answered
in season. Here, for example, Detroit right now is tied
with the football hosting the Minnesota Vikings. Could we see
this NFC North juggernaut in Minnesota top ale to the
lowly Lions, who were actually favored in this game. Well,
(30:32):
there's another team with a quarterback situation. Jared Goff was
the number one pick in the draft. Jared Goff was
a two time Pro Bowler. Jared Goff led a team
to the Super Bowl, and Jared Goff is actually playing
some pretty decent football this year for the Lions. Remember,
Detroit has the Rams pick, so they weren't happy about that.
Baker Mayfield come back the other night, but they're gonna
(30:52):
have a pretty high pick. Are they gonna use it
on a quarterback start all over again? Or are you
going to I mean, now that Dan Campbell's job obviously
at least safe going into next season, stay with Jared Goff,
I mean they're I mean it's not like Detroit doesn't
have other needs other than quarterback. I mean, there's way
to strengthen. They took Eidan Hutchinson, Obviously, he's had an
(31:13):
impact on that defensive front. I personally, if you've got
a Geno Smith, if you got a Jared Goff, I know,
they're not Patrick Mahomes, they're not Josh Allen's. There are
very few quarterbacks like that, but they're serviceable and if
you can build the right chemistry around him, you can
win games. Oh, there's no doubt about it. And Jared
Goff is mr consistent. Look at every game he's played
(31:35):
so far this season, is he blowing your doors off sometimes? No?
You know, three weeks ago against the Giants, seventeen six,
zero touchdowns, zero interceptions, Like, all right, But then he
has a game like he did last week against the
Jaguars where he throws and complete seventy of his past
is for over three forty and he throws two touchdowns
(31:56):
and no interceptions. Look, he's been cleaned this season. That's
what say about Jared Goff. He's been really clean. The
sheet is clean. Is the middle of the road in
certain statistics. Yeah, do they need him to be amazing? Well, no,
because they're running backs. Swift and Williams have done a
lot of that work and helping him have the sort
of season that he needs to have. Jared Goff is
(32:18):
that type of quarterback. And when he had Todd Gurley
in in l A, he was great. You know. So
this run game works, this offensive one protects well, opens
up running lanes. He's having a good season as a result.
By the way, the biggest favor on the board by
far this morning, Cowboys seventeen point favorites against the one,
ten and one Texans. Guess who's winning this game right now?
Texans just got a field goal ten to seven Houston
(32:41):
over Dallas, eighteen seconds to go in the first quarter.

Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right. That's w
(34:10):
d V one or two point five FM Steelers Radio
Network and the Pittsburgh Steelers getting on the board. Still
trail a little Ravens by a score of ten to seven.
Just started the second quarter. There once again, Welcome back
to Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from
the ti iraq dot com studios. Aaron Andrews gonna be
joining us at the top of the hour. She's gonna
(34:32):
be out there for that battle between the Bucks and
the forty niners. Uh, you know again for the Buccaneers.
We were talking earlier about Tom Brady and pulling off
another tom Brady. By the way, I think that broke
the record for fourth quarter comebacks and record he shared
with Peyton Manning, and I put a asterisk on their
on a positive way, because how many fourth quarter comeback
(34:54):
opportunities has Tom Brady even had over the course of
his career, Most of the time his team's dominated, so uh,
it makes his record even that much more impressive. Meanwhile,
that forty Niners team is going to be out there
with Mr Irrelevant Brock Purdy as their quarterback. Apparently for
the least of the season. We talked about Baker Mayfield.
Only one team put a claim in for Baker Mayfield.
(35:16):
That's the Rams. Forty Niners said, we're good, yep with
Mr Irrelevant for the rest of the year. Yeah, I'm
I'm very curious to see how Brock Purdy looks because
especially now knowing Wow, the Giants punter just dropped the snap.
So he had a perfect snap he had in his hands,
he dropped it, it bounced, and then he kicked it
and so that ball only traveled about ten yards fifteen
(35:41):
yards at the most. Watched this play, Steve Yeah, he
he literally dropped the ball as he was about to
drop the ball on his foot and then basically kicked
it off the ground and went about ten years after
the Davante Smith's score which we have right here, hurts
back again. He's floated it for the Wante Smith who
to catch the Giants miss and he walks to the
(36:04):
end w i P. Eagles Radio Network. Yeah, things not
going well for a Giants team that is winless now
in four of the last five games. Yeah, after letting
up that score, where by the way, the safety had
a chance in an interception at very least to just
put a shoulder on Davante Smith as the ball came
in and knocked that ball away. The Giants first possession back,
(36:25):
they have to punt it and the punt only goes
about fifteen yards from their side of the field. So
the Eagles take over with this two score lead on
the Giant side of the field. Uh So things suddenly
unrattling for a Giants team looks so good early in
the season and now not so good with the Eagles
blowing them out early by a score of fourteen to nothing.
(36:45):
Lions have the ball right now, they get the ball
back against the Vikings we talked about, We got another
touchdown to Tony Pollard. He's on a reverse and he
just scored on a pass from Doc to the opposite
corner of ends on this time. So Dallas Leeds fourteen
ten at home against the Houston Texans. Yeah, I again.
The Houston Texans took advantage of a fumbled punt returned
(37:09):
by the Cowboys to get a quick score. Statistically, this
game is very one sided in favor of the Cowboys.
Dak Prescott off to a good start seven to ten
ninety two yards and a score. You know, we look
at the Zeke Elliott situation, and you know, they try
to make the argument that they're on equal ground, Zeke
and Tony Pollard. I've been looking at a lot of
mock drafts, you know, seeing some of the early buzz
(37:32):
on which directions some teams will go. You'd be surprised
how many mock drafts have the Cowboys taken a running back? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
I mean which seems where. I mean, Pollard obviously still
has gas left in the tank, but Zeke, you know,
I mean he has flashes out there. I can't imagine
why they would go. I mean, you know, even like
be Jean Robinson out of Texas as a first round pick.
(37:54):
I mean, who takes running back in the first round.
But I see a lot of mock drafts saying that
the Cowboys maybe looking running back in this year's draft. Well,
I I look at the Cowboys and you see how
dependent they are on a strong running game, like a
lot of teams are, but especially the Cowboys. They like
setting up the play action. Uh. Kellen Moore's offense is
really predicated off of the play action. Reminds you a
(38:17):
little bit of the Rams, a little bit of what
the San Francisco forty Niners do. And I think Zeke
getting long in the tooth. And obviously that contract coming up,
uh makes makes room for makes room for a running back.
And and can you imagine if they're able to keep
bi John Robinson in the state of Texas, how good
that will be for the brand of the Dallas Cowboys.
(38:38):
And and I've heard this from a couple of NFL scouts. Now,
he is a can't miss prospect. This is the type
of guy, the way they were talking about Trevor Lawrence.
They believe in that Bijon Robinson is an automatic pro bowler.
At the next time, and again for the running back,
you go in with a running back saying we could
get three or four dynamite ears out of the sky.
Anything after that is just bonus. But yeah, fresh legs,
(39:01):
let's hear that. Cowboys latest score snapped the Prescott looking right,
looking middle, looking left throws at the left flat Pollard
five avoid tackle skinners in touchdown Pollard, Dallas Cowboys Radio Network,
So fourteen ten Cowboys lead the Texans twelve and a
half minutes ago in the first half. There, I gotta
come back to this just to finish that thought pollards
(39:22):
of unrestricted free agent next year. So that also makes
sense why they may be interested in still having the
one to punch with Zeke and maybe Robinson or a
different running back coming out of that back. Well, maybe
they learned their lesson for Zeke. He game all that
extra money and suddenly he's not the same guy they
broke into the league. By the way, no scores still
between the Jets and the Bills. Look at Josh Allen.
(39:44):
Four of ten twenty two yards. He's already been sacked twice.
They have eleven net yards passing. The Jets defensive front
right now is spooking Josh Allen. He is looking awful
in this game so far. They are doing their best
to make this game about Josh Allen. They're saying like, hey, listen,
we are going to make it a long, hard day
(40:06):
on you guys. From a run game standpoint, We're gonna
completely shut down the run. So can you throw on us?
And can you test our man defense and can you
find a way to fit it in and The answer
so far is no, No, they can and and that's
a real shame for Buffalo because great opportunity against a
very talented Jets team to take a couple of steps
forward here in their division with this win. Problem for
(40:26):
the Jets is they don't have an offense. Uh. Donovan
Night has nineteen yards on the ground, Mike White has
five at ten for forty yards, so they only have
fifty net yards so far in this game. But that
defense doing a number on the Bills. All right, still
just getting started here, Aaron Andrews, so join us on

ready for a big game coming up later this afternoon.
(41:32):
It's time for the NFL Focus. Yeah, coming up later on,
it's gonna be Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on the
road against Mr Irrelevant Brock Purty and the San Francisco
forty Niners. Menting the sidelines as she does so expertly
every single week for Fox Sports, Aaron Andrews is joining
us right now. So Aaron, let's talk about this quarterback
(41:54):
matchup between the Goat and Mr Irrelevant? What do you
make of this QB matchup? Um? Well, that one got
picked in the seventh round and one got picked in
the very last pick. I I gotta be honest. I
feel bad for Rock Purty. Why do we have to
keep calling him Mr Irrelevant? I from everything I've kind
of read this week, I don't really feel like he
(42:15):
loves that. And maybe that's why he kind of has
the old chip on his shoulder and he has all
of his teammates speaking so highly of him and about
him Um, but yeah, I mean, I think it's pretty
easy to figure out what you make of it. You've
got the goat versus a kid making his first start
in the NFL. Yeah, it's gonna be a fantastic game
to watch. It really does feel like an even matchup
(42:35):
every which way you look at these two teams, Buccaneers
trying to find stride. Definitely a good one Monday Night,
but a short week to prepare for the forty Niners
going out there to California to play him. So when
you look at Tom Brady, does he still have that
chip or that boulder as it was on his shoulders?
The fire still alive in his eyes? Did you guys
(42:56):
watch the end of that Monday night game where he
let it team down the field two times to win
the game? What was it was a little over five
minutes left? I would definitely say Tom Brady has a chip. Yes. Well,
here's the thing about Tom Brady and the Buccaneers though, Aaron,
I mean, they scored seven team points in that game.
There twenty seven the league in scoring, and they haven't challenged.
What's really kept the Buccaneers alive this year is their
(43:18):
defense has been outstanding all season long so um and
because of Tom Brady's presence and the fact that he
finds still ways to have dramatic victories against the Saints.
Let's not lose sight that the reason the Buccaneers are
in first place right now in that very weak division
is that defense. Yeah, and that's why I kind of was,
you know, I thought the comment was interesting when I
(43:39):
just popped on and you guys said evenly matched. I
mean their defense is yes. I mean you've got the
number one defense with San Francisco and you've got the
I guess the Bucks in the top five. But offense,
if you talk to Tom Brady, no there, I mean
he hopes guys are getting healthy. Thanks, guys are starting
to come around. But their offense no, not at all.
Hasn't been as efficient as the forty nine or had been,
(44:00):
particularly since they picked up Christian McCaffrey. So you have
Tristan Worse who's injured. You have Josh Wells replacing him
alongside Donovan Donovan sniff at tackle going against Nick Bose
on the other side, how do the Buccaneers keep Brady's
jersey clean against Nick bos who's on a six game
sack streak. Yeah, he certainly is, and was named what
(44:22):
NFC Defensive Player of the Months last month and and
Defensive Player of the Week last week. He had a
huge game against Miami after Kyle Shanahan kind of pointed
out that the linebackers are playing better at the time
than the d line. Yeah, I don't know. I mean,
it's probably going to have to be the same kind
of formula that we've been seeing from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Um,
(44:42):
you know, get it out quick, hope they can establish
some sort of run. I mean, Nick bo says one.
We're going to have to keep our eyes on. He
didn't practice at all this week. He's got a hamstring irritation,
so um, you know, when you listen to Greg Olsen,
who knows a lot about soft tissue injuries, he said
those are tough. And obviously the forty nine have a
big matchup next or this coming Thursday night against Seattle
(45:03):
that's baked for the division. So it'll be interesting to
see how much uh they have Nick Bosa out there.
We haven't heard otherwise, but that was definitely one of
the guys as well as Leonard Fournette on the Buccaneer
side that we have to kind of keep our eye
on Leonard Fournette dealing with a is it a foot?
It's a foot injury that kind of popped up on
the injury report on Thursday. Yeah. I don't think you're
(45:24):
gonna have to score a lot of points to beat
the Buccaneers, but you're definitely gonna have to get in
the end zone a few times here. So let's get
back to Brock party won five in a row. They're
sitting at top the NFC West right now. What is
Kyle Shanahan said about this rookie quarterback that not only
he but the rest of the team has so much
confidence in. Well, I think coming out of that Miami game,
(45:46):
we were joking with the Forts that you know, they
were kind of saying, he has what was it cahones,
he doped for this. I mean everybody was kind of
having the same comment. He seems like a guy that,
as Trent Williams pointed out this week in the all,
he's trying to on a Wednesday practice go over some plays,
go over the you know, game plan, and a couple
offensive linemen we're talking and he was like, hey, knock
(46:08):
it off, we gotta do this here. George Kittle told
me he just started cracking up and laughing, not at
Brock party, but was like, good for you kid, you know,
tell him how you feel. So it's a kid that
I know. Obviously, Kyle Shanahan liked a lot coming out
of Iowa State. Um. They like how he's just confident.
And that's something that Brock told us was instilled um
in him by his father. Um that it's never enough
(46:30):
and you have to keep working. And and Greg Olsen
today on our pregame show interviewed Christian McCaffrey, who you know,
even talked about how this kid worked with McCaffrey when
he got here to the forty niners and went over
the game plan, and everybody just kind of really appreciates
how he prepared, how he would go up against his
forty Niners defense for the last thirteen weeks. There was
that Fred Warner quote that we all saw that he
(46:53):
said he's gonna be fine. He went up against the
top defense you know, this entire year. So everybody really
has their his back. And you know, when you listen
to Kyle Shanahan say after the Sunday game, we're built
for this, they really do believe they are. It's just
I think George kill said it best to me, their
stars today have to play like their stars, no question
that chemistry is so important. Understanding of the offense equally important.
(47:16):
Looking at the Buccaneers at the head coaching position, a
change made this offseason top Balls onto his next head
coaching opportunity. I mean, it's week four team, how has
this season gone? For Balls? From the standpoint of the
coaches payer of view, how does he feel the season going? What?
What is his view as the challenge is still ahead
for this team. I think it's getting their guys healthy there.
(47:38):
I mean, look at their secondary. They've taken a hit,
their their offensive line isn't isn't healthy. They lost what
Ryan Jentsen to two days into training camp. So I
think it's getting their guys back, getting their guys healthy,
getting back in a rhythm. Um. You know Chris Godwin
as I was just looking at he it hasn't even
been a year since he he you know, hurt his
leg and he's finally starting to come. Julio missed time
(48:01):
with his injuries, so um, he definitely feels like he
has a resilient group. We all saw that on Monday
Night football against the Saints with them being down with
five and a half left to go. He's happy with
his defense, but look, he wants his guys back and
he just doesn't have that right now. Rock Purty versus
Tom Brady, who could have day? Mr Irrelevant? I feel
(48:22):
bad for the kid you're saying we have not have
Iowas Sam on the board over here. He is a
big fan because the purtyes roots at Iowa State, so
he believes that he can win this game today forty Niners,
our favorite at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Aaron,
as always, we appreciate your time. Have a great time
out there today. By bye, that's Aaron Andrews joining us
(48:43):
right there on the sidelines for that Buccaneers forty Niners game.
Iowa Sam, let's bring him on for a second here,
Brock Purty. We've heard plenty of his name out of
your mouth over the last couple of years. Yes, I've
covered him extensive. Turns out to be the last pick
in the draft. Thus Mr. Irrelevant, But they didn't even
hesitate Baker Mayfield was sitting out there. They weren't interested.
(49:04):
They say, we've got the right guy. By the way,
how about this, What if brock Purty like wins out,
what does that do for tray Lances future with the
forty Niners? My goodness, I mean Trey Lance maybe in
the Jordan's Love situation where he's just a first round
backup and and it's sort of until when until he's traded,
(49:25):
until there's an injury situation that forces him into action.
Look here, here's the reality of being a general, general manager,
a head coach in this league. You have to win games,
and you have to play the players who give you
the best opportunity to win games. So the same thing
going on with the l A Rams right now in
Baker Mayfield, all of a sudden gets you a comeback
victory in the fourth quarter, and who knows how their
(49:46):
season finishes. If he's your best situation moving forward at quarterback,
well you gotta make a decision on Matthew Stafford then yeah,
It's just it's what's best for the football team. It's
not about how much you're paying quarterback X or you
know where you drafted quarterbacks. Why, you have to make
sure you're winning football games and playing the guys who
give you the best opportunity to do so, I'm sure
(50:07):
Tom Brady will pull him aside and say, let me
tell you about my situation. I was a sixth round
pick and the quarterback got hurt and I got thrown
in there, and he won the Super Bowl. So who knows,
Maybe brock Purty could be the next Tom Brady block punt,
block punt in the end zone. Jets punter scooped it
up and he just got a first out out About
(50:27):
that's unbelievable what we just watched. Holy cow, did he
get the first So they were backed up all the
or No, this was in the Jets the Eagles Giants game,
So the Giants had the Eagles backed up all the
way in their own end zone. The punter was kicking
from his heels were on the end line right and
(50:49):
the punt got blocked and then he picked it up.
He somehow after getting back to his feet. Now, what's
the rule again on this? If the ball goes forward,
is it a lie ball? Because it did went backwards.
That's why he was able to pick it up. The
minor scrimmage was like the one or two yard line
(51:10):
after the block and went up in the air, fell
in the end zone and he picked it up off
the bounce. That is legal. Yeah, if it's behind the
line of scrimmage what you look like it? It was
definitely ends up play from this punter. So he picked
it up and he ran for the was a clean
scoop too, because that's right at the first down marker.
(51:31):
All right, they're saying he can't advance that ball. I
know that rule because we had that play a couple
of weeks ago. But no, they're saying that he could
not advance that ball. Is that what happened? Could you
guys know what are we hearing on that play? It
looked to me like he stepped out of bounds and
so will be a turnover on downs where he stepped out. Well,
let's see if that's where they actually marked the ball. Okay,
(51:53):
we're gonna find out. So that's one of the first
down markers. So if that's the case, it's really gonna
make a difference. Because it's twenty one nothing Eagles so
far in this game, as they have dominated the Giants
throughout this well, it does matter. It's early, Steve, and
if the Giants can now score, this is a two
score game in the first half. It's not it's not dated. Second,
now the punters hurt. Yeah, he's limping around. He's got
(52:16):
a trainer under his arm. Yeah, that's not a good
look for your punter. All right, we are going to
get back to everything going on right now as we
head towards believe it or not, halftimes in seven games
around the National Football League. Much more coming up here
on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red
(52:38):

Chase does the granny, I'm a back line of the

(53:01):
to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox

the Browns by a scorer of seven and three. Actually,
Deshaun Watson has better passing numbers today than Joe Burrow.
Burrow's just seven a six team for sixty three yards.
(53:22):
Deshaun Watson six of a eighty yards. But it's the
Bengals leading by a score of seven at three. Welcome back.

we talked about the Eagles punt got blocked, the punter recovered,

give now running to us a fight, He's gonna throw
tap field and it's caught by Marie Rogers touchdown. Oh
(54:47):
my goodness, what a throw by press call. Oh is
that the Texans scoring again? Wow? That is Texans Radio network?
Can you believe it? Rich With a minute a halfs
I go in the first half, the Cowboys seven team
point favorites against the one ten and one Texans. It's
(55:08):
the Texans with a seventeen fourteen league. Yeah. And how
about Jeff Driscoll getting the action, getting the touchdown pass
thrown there? Because again remember Davis Mills was the starter
in this game. Drifts goll is getting some action now
and they're leading seventeen fourteen in Dallas after the stomping
that Dallas performed last weekend. This is pretty phenomenal. How
(55:31):
Houston's hanging in there. By the way, Jets Bills no
score forty seven seconds ago in the first half. You
want to hear some numbers. The Bills have thirty one
net yards passing. Josh Allen is eight of fourteen for
only forty seven yards. He's been sacked three times for
negative sixteen yards. They have no running game. In fact,
(55:53):
Josh Allen is the leading rusher for the Bills at
thirty six yards, only ninety four total yards of the Bills.
I remember as of today, Bills and Chiefs tie for
the best record in the a f C, but the
tiebreaker goes to the Bill. So the Bill start of
the day is the number one seed in the a
f C. But it is obvious that what the Jets
did earlier this year when they upset the Bills, at
(56:15):
least defensively, was not a fluke. Uh. They are absolutely
shutting down Josh Allen and this Bill's offense. Yeah, and
there was a really fun play on this drive. Josh
Allen and the Bill's offense where out of fourth and
one from their own thirty nine, and they motioned in
a tight end with a hard count. C. J. Moseley
(56:36):
leaped over the offensive formation and tackled the tight end
who was under center on the trick play, you know,
the or the fake trick play, and ended up incurring
the off sides. So they were able to keep this
drive alive and right now they have a first and
ten from the New York Jets twenty nine yard line
and a leaping dive into the end zone. It looks
(56:57):
like the Bills have just scored first and they are
singling touchdown. It was actually from the twenty four yard
line yard Knox who got in, So that is Knox
on the receiving ends. So after the Jets completely This
is how it works with me. As soon as I
mentioned some team doing something phenomenal, the other team scores,
(57:18):
and it works like clockworks. So right before they half,
we got less than thirty seconds to go in the
first half and the Bills. Look at that Dawson nod.
He went completely upside down at the pieline. Look at this, Yeah,
my god, and the ball crosses the plane. Well, he's inverted.
That is impressive. He completely sold out for that. By
(57:41):
the way, he was the tight end who motioned in
on the fourth and one play where they got the
off side. So he's had a good drive for the
Bills and the extra point is up and good. It
is seven nothing Bills over Jets in Buffalo. All right,
Vikings are on the move right now. They have a
first and goal at the Detroit three yard line line
is lead this game by a score of fourteen to seven.
(58:03):
As we've been saying all the year long about the Vikings,
no one seems to believe in this team. Their ten
and two they have the second best record in the
entire NFL. Nine of their ten wins have been single
score wins. They're underdogs today on the road against the Lions.
Right now, trailing fourteen to seven, they have a first
and goal at the three yard line at Detroit. Kirk
(58:23):
Cousins has played well in this game so far. He
has sixteen of twenty one d sixty five yards, no touchdowns,
no picks. The problem for the Vikings today has been
their running game. Dalvin Cook thirteen carries only nineteen yards
rushing for one of the best backs in the league,
just fumbled the ball with the golden ghost situation. He
(58:44):
fumbled in Detroit recovers the ball. Did I just mentioned
the guy again and he that's unbelievable. And by the way,
and that is I mean it's coming back around because
that's exactly what happened to Josh Allen going in the
end zone or no coming off of endzone. Oh this
is the second time he's done this right? Who Dalvin Cook?
Oh No, not Dalvin Cooke. It was Kirk Cousins. I
(59:05):
thought it was a sneak situation with Dalvin. Dalvin Cook
fumbles at the goal line. They got to get out
of that habit. Yeah. Out in Tennessee four thirteen, the
Tennessee Titans lead. They were on their way down to
score again, but Derrick Henry fumbles. It's recovered by Allen
on the Jacksonville side, and so they have the ball
back and they're at the Tennessee forty seven only twenty
(59:27):
seven seconds left to play in the half in Tennessee.
An opportunity to take lead here for the Jacks, all right,
So I have an update on that. They're actually now
at the Tennessee twenty nine yard line, twenty seven seconds left.
Titans laid that game by a score of fourteen thirteen.
By the way, the Eagles after that long kickoff return
after the Giants score, ended up with a field goal.
So the Eagles lead the Giants now twenty four to seven.
(59:50):
One game at the half. Right now, the Ravens are
leading the Steelers by a score of thirteen to seven,
and pick it one out of this game. So it's
the back backup Trabisky in against Huntley Boy, Oh boy,
Trabisky's thrown two picks. He's eight of eleven hundred, twenty
three yards but two picks. Steel has trailed this game
(01:00:11):
by a score of thirteen to seven. Let's hear that
Bill score. Allen looks, looks, fires it down field cup
by the everybody dots and knocks at the eight, dives
into the ends in tuchdown touchdown. Buffalo dots and Knox
was wide open and he sailed over a defender to
get into the end zone. Four yard touchdown strike. All Right,
(01:00:32):
w g R five fifty Bills Radio Network. So Bills
lead and it is at the half right now, Bill's
leading the Jets by his score of seven to nothing. Hey,

dot Com. Yeah, I was gonna say, we may have
a touchdown. This is going to be under review because
the Jags was that Jamal ag knew able to reel
that in just as he was stepping out of the
end zone, looked through the hands of a defender. One
ft down, second ft down, that's a touchdown. None, Yeah,
(01:01:19):
but he was already across the line. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're right, he had a foot down. That clear possession
of the football. You're rightdown. So the Jags will end
up if this holds, will end up scoring before the
end of the half and taking the lead with ten
seconds left on the clock against Tennessee Times, who right
now lead all right. Suddenly a flurry of activity, which
(01:01:41):
means it's the perfect time to find out what's trending
right now as Monsey is back looking up at the
seven games we've got going on around the National Football League.
Mon But you know who's trending is Brock Purty. That's
who's trending on Twitter. Yes, people are very much looking
forward to what he's gonna do to have Mr Irrelevant
(01:02:05):
going against the goat. Right. Well, that's not that's not
his own, that's not his only nickname. Yeah no, no, no,
he's got another nickname. And go ahead, Monty, could you
tell us what that is? Uh? What is his other nickname?
I think they call him big Socks brock, oh baby, Yeah,
(01:02:28):
because he's of his thick legs. That's what they said
during Monday Night football because of his in Mexico City. Yeah,
they call him baby Bosa on the team. Oh my goodness,
I did not know that. Now I'm gonna be checking
out this dude's legs, is what you're telling me. He's
got cankles. Oh no, I gotta check this out. Yeah.
Another another game just went into halftime, the Eagles and
(01:02:48):
the Giants. It really has been all Eagles in New York.
Jalen Hurts has completed seventeen passes for a hundred and
seventy one yards and two touchdowns, and the Eagles have
really dominated the Giant seven as a score at halftime.
The Ravens Steelers at halftime as well. Ravens without Lamar Jackson,
Steelers without Kenny Pickett. Ravens are up thirteen to seven,
(01:03:09):
and of course waiting to see if that Zay Jones
touchdown was a touchdown or not. It looks like he's in.
It looks like he got both feed in but I
think they're still figuring it out, so we'll keep you
posted to see if they actually scored. And then the
Lions are beating the Vikings twenty seconds to go in
the first half. Fourteen seven is a score. The Texans
and the Cowboys are tied at seventeen. We're approaching halftime
(01:03:31):
in this one as well. The Bengals have had a
slow start, but they're beating the Browns thirteen to three.
They're about to head into halftime as well. The Jets
are still scoreless. The Bills managed to score right before halftime.
Seven zero is the score. But yeah, josh Allen Nobe
buent on nine of fifteen passes for seventy yards. That
one touchdown he just got. He's been sacked three times.
(01:03:52):
You mentioned that earlier, So that's been a slow one
and they're still figuring it out if Jacksonville scored or not.
But right no, I think they counted it. Jaguars are up,
not jackson Yeah, Jaguars, Jaguars are up. I think they
counted it against the Titans. They're about to tend in
a half time official. Yes. Trevor Lawrence d ninety seven
yards and two touchdowns. To you guys all right now, Monsey,
(01:04:12):
I'm looking at this photo Brock pretty back from his
Iowa State days, and like his ankles are as big
around as his thighs. Yeah, Like there's something going on
here with this guy. Now, can you cylindrical legs, Steve?
Is that what you're saying? I don't know what that more.
He's got cylinders his legs. There's the same at the
top as they are at the bottom, right all the
(01:04:34):
way to the end. And his feet don't look all
that big. Maybe it's the size of the ankles and
the calves and everything. But bottoms out there, he's standing
atop two telephone poles out there, there's no discernible knee. Yeah, exactly.
There's got summer sausage for legs. Is unbelievable. I don't
know if that will helpen winner lose today, but we'll
(01:04:57):
have that game later on. It's the forty Niners host
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All right, thanks so much, Moncy.
All right, so getting back to games going on right now.
The Bengals, as Moncy mentioned, leading in the Browns by
a score of thirteen of three. Joe Burrow has not
had a very good day, um, But the Browns offense
is really just not doing much. I mean, Deshaun Watson
(01:05:19):
is efficient, he's seven of nine two yards, but no touchdowns.
So he has now been the quarterback for a game
and a half and their offense has yet to get
into the end zone. Yeah. Yeah, And Jacoby Bursett was
the last quarterback who started in won a game for
the Browns and it was against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
and that was pretty good win. You know, the offense
(01:05:40):
look pretty good. And now, look, I'm not campaigning for
Jacoby Brissette to get back in there, you know, from
a football standpoint, because DeShawn Watson, potentially if he returns
to form last we saw him in the NFL, is
arguably one of the best ten players in the whole league.
He's that talent. Did so you understand from a football
(01:06:02):
standpoint why they signed him to this contract and why
they want him to start this year. But there's no
questioning that, um. With the distraction that it is, all
these players being asked questions about, you know, how is
it to like having to Shawn out there? Now? How
how is the offense different? You know, how do you
feel about the fans and how he was treated in Houston.
(01:06:23):
You know, all these things last week that are leading
into the game this week that they're playing here against Cincinnati.
You know, I mean, the offense doesn't look as good
right now with the Sean as it did with Jacobe.
So the Browns trailing. Now it's at the half officially,
since I leaving the Rounds by score at thirteen of three. Meanwhile,
another game at the half, the Eagles dominating on the
road against the Giants twenty four to seven. The Eagles
(01:06:47):
are five and oh on the road this year, eleven
o one overall, well on their way to a six
road victory, and Jalen Hurst just adds to his m
VP candidate resume seventeen and twenty four, a hundred seventy
one yards, two touchdowns, no picks in this game. You know,
if you're one of those that are voting for m
(01:07:07):
v P, it's he's got the stats, He's got the wings.
A compelling argument for Jellen Hurts, who, like you said
at halftime, has just lit up the scoreboard and offensively
has thrown basically a perfect game so far through this half. Yeah,
So Jalen Hurts and the Egos continue to roll today,
and for the Giants, what looked like a very promising
(01:07:29):
season and maybe a good ticket to the UH postseason
not going that way. Interesting game at the half now,
the Lions lead the Vikings by a score of fourteen
to seven. Jared Goff has been great thirteen yards, two touchdowns,
no picks. Kirk Cousins numbers are good as well, seventeen
(01:07:52):
two yards. But here's a problem. Dalvin Cook fourteen carries
six yards. Yeah wow? Uh? They have five yards rushing
in the first half against an inspired Detroit Lions defense
and Detroit again same plan that the Jets are performing
against the Bills. It's just can you can? Can you
(01:08:12):
throw the football on us, like, well, we'll sell out
to stop the run. Can you beat our coverage? And
so far in this game in Detroit fourteen seven lead
over the Vikings, the answer is no. Uh. In Buffalo
right now, they were able to put together a drive
with the penalty induced by the Buffalo Bills on the
New York Jets continued and sustained and got Dawson knocks
(01:08:36):
into the end zone. So they lead seven nothing. But
that's a close game in Buffalo between the Bills and
the Jets. By the way, getting back to that Vikings game.
One guy that we always keep an eye on because
he is simply the best receiver in the NFL. Justin
Jefferson at a half seven catches, nineties three yards. He
just continues to add to all his totals out there,
and very quickly we're talking about Brice Young potentially is
(01:08:59):
the number one pick in the NFL draft this upcoming season,
and you always look at a guy like him or
a c. J. Strouded Ohio State and the kind of
talent that they throw to. Of course, we were saying
the same thing about Joe Burrow. I don't think we
had any idea that Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase are
gonna be super superstars at the NFL level. But now
(01:09:20):
you look back and say, okay, who made who was?
It turned out they were all great. Um, you know,
getting to a guy like c. J. Stroud, I've seen
his draft stock actually drop a little bit. I mean,
he's still a first round pick. He could still be
a top five pick. But the argument about him or
Bryce Ung for number one, it seems like everyone is
(01:09:41):
siding right now with Bryce Young. But last year, Ohio
State had not one, not too but three ap All
American wide receivers. This year, obviously, Marvin Harrison Jr. Has
been dynamite for Ohio State. So how tough is that
to try to evaluate quarterback talent when they are throwing
to athletes that are just superior than their opposition? Um,
(01:10:04):
how big is it for a quarterback in terms of
helping them? Well, I mean as far as trying to
evaluate them, they're throwing two guys that are just dominating
defensive backs getting open, and you're throwing two wide open receivers. Well, listen,
I mean it's you have to really put on just
a couple of a couple of games and and steak
(01:10:24):
steak your your thoughts on that quarterback based on the
best defenses they face. It Like so, when Alabama faces
a Georgia or when Ala, when Alabama faces the best
defenses they faced this season, those are the tapes you
gotta turn on because you don't really gleam very much
when they're beating up on the citadel or whoever right
you gotta put, you gotta put them on the field,
(01:10:47):
or those receivers on the field against other first round
draft potential on the defensive side, to see if Bryce
Young can still fit it in, to see if Marvin
Harrison Jr. Can still fit it in. For to evaluate CJ. Stroud,
you need to see him against the best to evaluate
him for the best level of football, which is the NFL. Alright,
some other halftime stats. Jack's lead the Titans by a
(01:11:09):
score fourteen y Trevor Lawrence sixteen and twenty three hundred
ninety seventy yards, two touchdowns, no picks. They only have
nineteen yards rushing in the first half. Meanwhile, for Tennessee,
Tannehill threw an interception that was costly. He's twelve sixteen
hundred twenty yards in a score. Derrick Henry normally a
slow starter, not today. Fourteen carries a hundred and nineteen
(01:11:31):
yards rushing and a touchdown in the first half. And
back to Bryce Young for just a second, if I will,
because you know, you start to look at his numbers
against a p top twenty five teams, and you know
he struggled a little bit. You know, you look at
his completion percentage, it's under sixty percent. You know, touchdowns thrown.
It just everything comes back down to Planet Earth when
(01:11:54):
you look at him against the top talent. Now that
happens to every Last year, though, against top talent Georgia
and that s EC championship game, he had the game
of a lifetime. That's why he won the Heisman Trophy. Oh,
there's no question about it. And and by the way,
he's still that guy. This has been a down year,
down year, you know, This Alabama team still pretty darn
good tenant to you know, so it's tough to call
(01:12:16):
it a down year. But with them outside the playoffs
and looking in, it's easy to say that for the
first time in however many years. But Bryce Young is
ultimately going to be a first round draft pick and
potentially the first overall pick. Uh. Ryan, I have a
question for you. Did we get a word on what
happened with Kenny Pickett? Uh? He threw one pass, he
(01:12:36):
got sacked once, and then Trabinsky was in the game. Yeah,
he went into concussion protocol. So he he is out
for the game, all right, So he is out and
Uh on that sack early in the game by the
Ravens defense. Steelers have the ball right now at the
start of the second half there at midfield, trailing by
a score a thirteen of seven. I was a Trabinsky
fan going into the year. I really wanted to see
(01:12:57):
what this guy could do. Of Course, when you look
at with the Bears, his numbers weren't terrible. He actually
won more games than he lost as a Bears starting
quarterbacks sat on the bench behind Josh Allen and Buffalo
a year ago. Got an opportunity early on with the Stealers,
didn't do a whole lot. I didn't blame them for
you know, let's go with the young guy because we're
not gonna win anything anyway this year. But right now,
(01:13:19):
Trabisky struggling in relay, throwing a couple of picks and
no touchdowns. Ravens lead by score thirteen seven. By the way,
Tyler Huntley seven eleven passing seventy eight yards in this game,
he's also run for twenty eight yards. All right, So
we're now getting ready for the second half of seven
games around the NFL. Also, we're gonna look ahead to
(01:13:39):
some of the games later on this afternoon. Keep it
right here. Much more coming up on Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio Steve Hartman and Rich Arnburger. That's his Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio and we are alive from the
tire rack dot com studios. As you mentioned, most of
the games at halftime right now, now coming up a
little bit later on in the NFL, we talked earlier
(01:14:02):
about the Buccaneers and the forty Niners. The Chiefs are
on the road against the Broncos, and what the hell
are you gonna do if you're the Denver Broncos. Now
remember you could say, well, maybe you go a different
direction at quarterback. You traded your first round pick. That
pick belongs to the Seattle Seahawks. So the Seahawks are
(01:14:22):
going to get even wealthier thanks to Denver's generosity in
acquiring Russell Wilson. But this team is completely caved in.
This is a team that a lot of people thought
after they picked up Russell Wilson would be the prime
threat to the Kansas City Chiefs domination the a f
C West. And expect the Chiefs, who are, let's see here,
(01:14:43):
nine point favorites in Denver today to do a number
on by the way, a Denver team that still has
what they had last year, which is a better than
average defense. They just have no offense. So what are
you gonna do? I mean, you're stuck with Russell Wilson.
He can't trade them, you can't release them. You're gonna
get cap Hell, you've traded away your first round pick,
(01:15:05):
So there's that gonna be any help there? What is
Denver gonna do? I mean the fire hacking and just
hope that all the problems are because of the head
coach and not your quarterback. Um, yeah, that is exactly
what you're going to do, and and it better work
otherwise next year is going to be just as bad.
But that is the reality of the situation. You signed
(01:15:27):
that contract. And wow, do we have a touchdown? We
do night in the end zone for the Jets. So
the score is now seven to six in Buffalo. The
Jets looking to even this up with the extra point,
just an inside zone play as the Jets were able
to get down the field by the Bills. How about
(01:15:48):
wrapping somebody up wolf. Yeah, that was not a good
effort by the Bills defensively, and so the Jets will
tie this game if the extra point goes through? All right? So, uh,
do you have that if you get rid of Nathaniel Hackett,
who has been a disaster in his first year as
a head coach with the Broncos. Now the question again
is is he a disaster because Russell Wilson is completely
(01:16:11):
lost it? Or is Russell Wilson completely lost it because
he's in a bad offense? A courtesy of Nathaniel Hackett
extra point good. It is now tied seven seven in
Buffalo and the Jets and caught the Bills. Yeah. In
terms of the the Broncos, though, is fit is everything
with quarterback play? I mean he was in Seattle, you
(01:16:33):
know who didn't have great offensive lines, but had you know,
decent run games throughout his time there. We have a
kickoff return to open up the second half in Tennessee
by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Up, there's a flag. I was waiting,
where's the flag? Yeah, there always is a flag. But
Jamal agnew to the end zone before they actually threw
the flag, just like, well, we don't have kickoff returns
(01:16:56):
for touchdowns. We'll check that out. Um yeah, I I
I I Are you d f faith that they bring
in the right guy. I don't know. Maybe you can
get Sean Payton to show up in Denver. I don't know.
Remember you got the Walton family with limitless money. Now
owning that franchise. By the way, they have no connection
to John Elway. No, they don't none. I mean, they
may decide, you know, hey, John, we appreciate what you
(01:17:17):
did here in the past, but we need to go
in a completely different direction. They inherited this mess. Well yeah,
I mean, if if you're in a situation where you
you feel like you could get better by moving on
from the president of football operations or the general manager,
you're gonna do that. I mean, what do they owe
to John Elway? Nothing? Nothing, you know. So that's the
reality of the situation in in Denver. They that at
(01:17:41):
this point, Russell Wilson probably has a safe job, I
would argue, but Nathaniel Hackett almost definitely is going to
be fired. And I hate it for him. You know,
he's young coach, forty two years old, first opportunity as
a head coach. It just has not gone well. And
like I said, fit is everything. When Russell was in Seattle,
it was working. He goes to Denver, it doesn't work anymore.
And you look at Geno Smith. Gina Smith is a
(01:18:03):
career journeyman that he's playing with his fourth team in
the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. He's been to you know,
the Jets and the Giants. He has been to the Chargers.
He's played for Seattle for years now. But all of
a sudden he gets an opportunity in this system and
it's working. It's fit. A quarterback will look better with
certain coaches. Look at Trevor Lawrence this year versus last year.
(01:18:25):
He was with Urban Meyer. It was a mess. He's
with Doug Doug Peterson this year. It looks much better.
At news ninety three yard touchdown a return on that
kickoff was nullified by a penalty, So Jacksonville still leading
the Titans by a score of twenty fourteen. They have
the ball. Let's hear that Jet score handoff Bamn Night
running left as a crease to the tent and side
(01:18:47):
of five at the goal line in touchdown Jets Radio Network.
So the jetson bills are tied at seven right now,
and again Josh Allen and really struggling did get the
one ted down passed before they have, but still only
seventy yards passing. It's been sacks three times Mike White
fourteen one hundred and forty one yards, So who would
(01:19:09):
have thought Mike White would have twice as many passing
yards so far as Josh Allen in this game. Yeah,
and and really it's because the Bills offense has struggled
against this Jets defense who's determined to shut down the
run and forced Josh Allen to beat beat them with
his arm. And the Jets kind of have the same situation.
But they're finding ways to move the ball enough on
(01:19:31):
the ground to keep Mike White in this play action
game that they like to run with him alive and
well and throwing the football and advancing it better than
Josh Allen on the other side. All Right, the Houston
Texans right now are sitting on the most surprising lead
of the day. They lead the Cowboys seventeen. The Cowboys
came in as seventeen point favorites against the worst team
(01:19:52):
in the league. Uh Davis Mills is back in at
quarterback now in the second half. So Driscoe came in
late in the for Staff through a touchdown pass, but
Davis Mills is back at quarterback. He's ten one yards.
As a team, Houston is thirteen of fifteen thirty five
yards and a score, so they've been able to out
(01:20:13):
row the Cowboys. So far in this game. You have
to wonder if the Cowboys may have thought they could
sleep walk through this game. You just can't do that
in the NFL. You can't. Although Trevon Diggs just picked
off the Houston Texans. So it is Dallas ball and
they have an opportunity to score, tie or take the
lead here, all right. So there it is the turnover
(01:20:35):
right there. It was actually a fumble fumble by the
recovered by the Dallas Cowboys. All right. Still a lot
more coming up. Second halfs around the NFL are underway.

(01:21:57):
the Jags rich just got into the end zone on
a rushing touchdown. It was a keeper by Trevor Lawrence,
and they extend their lead right now waiting on the
extra point. Twenty six to fourteen. How about the Jags
doing a number on the Titans. This could be a
disastrous loss for the Titans at home, uh as they
(01:22:18):
are battling for a playoff position right now. Yeah, the
Jags are ruining a lot of seasons right you know,
they had that win over Baltimore a couple of weeks ago.
Now Baltimore is in a dogfight against a backup quarterback
in Mitchell Trabiski who's now spelling Kenny Pickett, who's in
the injury protocol for a concussion. And now they're onto
the Tennessee Titans and looking great, I mean, just scoring
(01:22:43):
at will. How about this a fourth and goal for
the Cowboys and Zeke Elliott got stoned on fourth down.
The Texans hold and take over the lead, take over
the ball, and they had the lead twenty to seventeen
over the Cowboys. That was a week effort by Zeke
Ellett and that Dallas offensive front. So the Texans will
take over there. Meanwhile, remember we're talking about the bizarre
(01:23:06):
line of the day. The Tenant two Vikings, two and
a half point favorites, are underdogs on the road against
the Lions, and the Lions are about to extend their
lead fourteen seven Lions. They have a They just score
Josh Reynolds on a slam pass from Jared Goff, a
perfect route, a perfectly placed ball, the fastball in the
low red zone. Why would you want a new quarterback.
(01:23:28):
He's eighteen of twenty two thirty six yards and with
three touchdowns. I'm telling you right now, the Lions have
the Rams first round pick. That's gonna be a high
pick this year. Golf's good enough build around Jaried Goff.
Same thing with Gino Smith in Seattle when you got
a veteran quarterback in place, and we're not talking old
old quarters. So especially with a guy like Golf. If
(01:23:51):
I'm the Lions right now, Dan Campbell seems secure right now.
They've got some pieces. He added Aiden Hutchinson high pick
in the draft, man, I mean, how about how about
adding a Will Anderson to your defense or you know,
some of these superstar young players. I'm the Lions, that's
I'm not looking quarterback. If I'm the Lions. Yeah there, Well,
Jared Goff has a lot to prove and has already
(01:24:12):
proved a ton this season. And if they can put together,
especially a playoff year after the way they started, you know,
finally proving Dan Campbell's culture building theory correct, that he
can make believers out a team that nobody believed in
at the beginning of the season. Well, man, I'll tell
you what, that's proof enough for me. If I were
(01:24:33):
that general manager, I'd be looking at the draft elsewhere.
Improved that defense, like you said, continue to prove, improve
the offense with maybe some added pieces around golf, the
same way the Rams did for a time there in
l A. Well, once again, Vegas apparently knows what they're
talking about. Two and a half point favorites. The Lions
are leading the Vikings out by a score of twenty
one to seven. The Vikings only have twenty two yards
(01:24:56):
rushing in this game Davin Cook fourteen carriers for twenty
three y'all arts. So they're doing it defensively. They're doing
an offensive and by the way, this offense of the
Lions has been able to produce some pretty big numbers
through the course of the year. Golf is eighteen and
thirty six yards, three touchdowns and no picks. Uh in
this game, Uh, let's hear that jack score. Trevor keeps
(01:25:17):
it on his own read, tries to get to the quarter,
died for the end zone. Touchdown. Well, one yard touchdown
run by Trevor Lawrence. Now there's another flagdown and it
is a touchdown in Jacksonville, indeed has extended the league.
W j x l A M ten ten FM Jaguars
Radio Network extra point is good. So it's now the
Jags leading Tennessee by a score twenty seven or four
(01:25:41):
team inside eight minutes to go in the third quarter
in that game. You know, I'm just looking at the
standings right now. We're at that point of the season.
Last buys this week, by the way, UH, and then
of course after this UH with four more weeks UH
in the NFL regular season. But if you look on
the A f C side, so division leaders are the Bills,
(01:26:01):
that Chiefs, the Ravens, and the Titans, and then he
got the Bengals, Dolphins, and the Jets as the wild cards,
with the Patriots and the Chargers sitting there on the cusp.
So a lot of maneuvering going on. Remember last year
how the Steelers somehow snuck into the playoffs. And remember
(01:26:22):
the Raiders game against the Chargers. If it ended in
a tie, both would have got in and the Raiders
went for the field goal to knock the Chargers out.
And this is the way the NFL is. So every
one of these games right now has some bearing on
the postseason, every single one of them, every single one
of them. I mean, this is December football. If if
(01:26:42):
you think that after Thanksgiving you can lose a game
and not have it be meaningful, you're wrong, especially with
only one by or I should say one team awarded
a bye in the postseason. Now you just you can't
take games off anymore. Yeah, there there's two added teams,
one on each offerings. You have seven in instead of
the six traditionally. But but when you when you look
(01:27:04):
at it, it's even more competitive than it ever was
because seating is so much more important with only one
team getting the bye week. Yeah, I mean, let's let's
talk about the Cowboys or second, as it continue to
trail the Texans today, Let's say somehow the Texans hang
on to win this game, wasn't mean for the Cowboys? Well,
I mean right now they're sitting okay as the number
five seed. With the Eagles winning, of course, they would
(01:27:27):
almost wrap up a division title if the Cowboys were
to lose today. But you know, you still got Seattle
sitting there right now there, And and let's not overlook
the Commanders. I mean, Ron Rivera has done an unbelievable
job of that Washington team. They're very much in the
mix at seven, five and one. Oh yeah, the Commanders
are on a terror off today. If you yeah, if
(01:27:47):
you looked at their last eight games, they're the best team.
Talking about winning percentage in the NFL, It's it's ridiculous
what Washington has been able to do. So, yeah, Washington's
a real threat. Uh do we have a touchdown in Cincinnati?
We do Kappa in the end zone on a pass
from Borrow. So they take a nineteenth three lead over
(01:28:10):
the Cleveland Browns. Now you have DeShawn Watson still not
really getting it done at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
They have not been able to generate a lot of
offense today. Yeah, so Trent and Irwin on the receiving
end of that forty five yard touchdown pass by Joe Burrow. Burrow,
now fourteen and seven, How don't any two yards to touchdown?
So nineteen three Bengals and again Shawn Watson, is he
(01:28:33):
ever gonna get the Browns offense in the end zone?
I mean it's two weeks, right, So, I mean popular
wisdom would tell you you gotta wait, you gotta give
it time, you gotta let this team mature a little
bit with the quarterback. Houston just improves their lead to
twenty three seventeen on a long field goal made by
(01:28:54):
Caiimi Fireburn. Yeah, and Jalen Hursts just ran in for
a touchdown, adding to his m v P day. Let's
hear that Lion's latest score golf will take the direct
snap single back his swift golf turns, fakes the pitch,
throws and so to touchdown the truck lins w x
y T FM ninety seven one the Ticket Lions Radio network.
(01:29:14):
It's been all lines. They lead at one seven over
the Vikings who mentioned that Jalen Hurts as two touchdown passes.
Now he has a rushing touchdown as the Eagles continue
to dominate the Giants today on the road thirty four
to fourteen. Let's ask you this question. Are the Eagles
I know the record says it, but are the Eagles
(01:29:35):
the best team in the entire NFL? Um? Yeah? Yeah,
I think so. I I Jalen Hurts has made a
believer out of me this season. You know, Look, is
Mahomes a better quarterback? Yeah, there's no question in my mind.
At times? Is that offense much better than the Eagles? Yeah?
At times, but not always. This Eagles offense is potent.
(01:29:58):
And then you look at their defense. I think it's
a much better defense than the Chiefs. And you know,
I were this sounds ridiculous to say, but I think
this game in Denver is actually going to be quite
a challenge for Kansas City. That Denver defense is real,
Denver is a difficult place to play. Uh, this could
be one of those trap games that nobody sees coming
for the Kansas City Chiefs. They better be ready to
(01:30:20):
play because I'll tell you right now that Denver defense
looks angry. They look frustrated. They look like they're trying
to take their tempers out on every team they face.
So yeah, I mean you look at the cake walk
the Eagles are having today against an NFC East divisional rival.
I don't see it looking that way for the Chiefs
in Denver today. All right. The one team looking for
(01:30:41):
answers right now is the Dallas Cowboys. How are they
losing to the Texans? But they are three minutes to
go on the third quarter. You mentioned the Texans just
added a field goal, So twenty three seventeen the Houston
Texans are winning in Dallas. You look at the numbers
in this game and they're very even. Um as far
as total yards are concern, uh, first downs, everything is
(01:31:04):
in fact total yards. How about this Houston to fifties
six Dallas to fifty six doesn't get more even than that,
but two turnovers in this game for the Cowboys and
that can do it. They had to drop punt early.
Remember they had this seven nothing lead. First drive, Houston
three and out punted and Dallas fumble the return. Texans
get on the board and that's that kind of a
(01:31:25):
play suddenly gets a team into a game. Well, it
makes you believe Adam Feeling touchdown Minnesota who needed score
for the Minnesota Vikings who now trail in Detroit. The
Lions have really romped the entire day to day. Two
minutes left in the third, But how many times have
we seen this from the Vikings this year? Right waiting
(01:31:46):
on the extra point? You know, games where it seemed
like the Vikings are gonna lose and then somehow they've
come up with some late game magic. And that's why
they're sitting at ten and two. They're very talented second
half team, especially offensively in this is where the record
has really scratched and gone into opposite direction for Kirk Cousins.
Were so used to seeing Kirk Cousins faulter in games
(01:32:08):
where a team an opponent has a big lead on him,
or when it's crunch time and it looks like they're
lining up for two point conversion after the score unless
did feeling stuff. No, no, they're line up for two.
They're gonna line up for two point conversion. And it
didn't even come close. What was that that? I mean,
(01:32:29):
it's third quarter. Just kick the extra point. You're down seven.
I don't understand what I don't get in Detroit a
simple extra point. Now you're gonna have to get a
two point aversion eventually to tie up the game. All right,
we roll on right now. We actually have games heading
into the fourth quarter. Keep it right here. This is
(01:32:52):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,
and we got the place that you may admiss. Burrow
catches a high step. Now it's a flee flicker. He's
got a man open the shoulder catch trick that Irwin
(01:33:12):
at the Sex touchdown down eight Bengals. The fleet flicker
executed to perfection as Burrow gave it to mix and
he flipped it back to Joe and Joey Franchise launched
it perfectly down the middle of the field for the
touchdown strike. Now back live to the studios. Of Fox
(01:33:35):
Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. That is
the Bengals Radio network. Bengals still lead the Browns by
a score of twenty to three, three minutes to go
in the third quarter in that game. Welcome back. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from
the ti iraq dot com studios. Let's hear the Eagles
(01:33:57):
latest score. Hurts us back, He's gonna run. Comes to
the five touch down hurts. You don't have to say
much more than that. They just keep scoring. Uh. That
is w i P the Eagles Radio network. Eagles dominating
the Giants by a score of thirty four to fourteen.
One more, how about the Vikings getting back into their
game over the middle to the left, that is five
(01:34:20):
touchdown Adam feeling. Yeah, kay, fam Innneapolis and the Vikings
Radio network. And explicably, the Vikings decided to go for two.
They failed, so the Lions still leave the Vikings by
a score of twenty one to thirteen. We are just
starting the fourth quarter. There By the way, Jacksonville just
scored again, so they are blowing out the Titans. Here's
(01:34:41):
the thing about the Titans, though, they're sort of like
the Buccaneers. They're in such a bad division. They've lost
two in a row and they still have a two
and a half game lead in their division. I mean,
you got the Jags, he got the Colts, and you
got the Texas, So you know, this could be a
year where the Titans, they lose this game, they'd be
seven and six, so they could be like nine and
(01:35:01):
eight eight nine and still be comfortably in the postseason.
It's a strange year because usually the Titans are one
of those teams who say, like, while they're winning games
because they play really good defense, Well yeah, kind of,
but this year not not as good as we're used
to there, like in the bottom of the second tier
(01:35:22):
and overall defense, rushing, passing yards. They really struggle in
both those categories. What they've done a nice job of
over the course of the season is limited the scoring,
uh only allowing twenty points per game, but they've allowed
thirty three against the Jaguars today. And I gotta give credit, though,
where credits due, Trevor Lawrence. The way he's spreading the
(01:35:45):
football around, the placement of these balls, especially some of
these touchdown throws is insane, back shoulder throws, putting it
in only spot whereas receiver as a plan and then
his receiver's a Jones and and Jamal Agnew and the
whole crew. I mean they're they're a huge day. Yeah,
(01:36:06):
his tight end, I mean, this is this is, this
is becoming what Doug Peterson was able to create in Philadelphia.
Yea Trevor Lawrence in this game, twenty thirty four six yards,
three touchdown snowpicks. Those are superstar numbers. Uh, And it
looks like the Jags are gonna come away with a
victory today on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile,
(01:36:26):
we have a miracle, folks. Deshaun Watson has just on
his first touchdown pass as a Cleveland Brown as they
have scored a touchdown there. All right, let me just say, okay,
so the Browns now are within ten of the Bengals,
but that's official now the first touchdown pass as a
(01:36:47):
Cleveland Brown for DeShawn Watson. Well, and then this game
is in overall. So you look at Cincinnati who gets
the ball after the score and they lead by ten,
but there's a lot of time left in this game.
It's sort it feels like since he should have taken
advantage while Cleveland was really having a rough time trying
to get on the board. Sam, you got it, play action,
(01:37:08):
fake throws it up, caught and choke it with the
ten he said the fire he dies from the part
on touchdown. The chief is in the ends on Brown's
radio network. So there they are trailing the Bengals by
a score of twenty to ten. Let's hear Jacksonville's latest score.
Trevor Fire's left side. That ball is going to be
caught for the touchdown by Evan April in the left
(01:37:32):
corner in the end zone. Are you kidding me? The
jackson extended the league. Yeah. W j x L A
M ten ten FM, Jaguars Radio network. So thirty three
to fourteen. The Jaguars doing a number on the Titans.
But again, if you're a Titans fan, you're like, okay,
we can continue to lose because no one in our
(01:37:53):
division is gonna catch us. By the way, Jeff Saturday
experiment in Indianapolis is not going well. No, no, not
going well so far. I think we have another score
in this. Yeah, we do Detroit Lions game. They're gonna
review this because it was a play at the pylon.
Is that justin Jackson stretching out, knocked over the pylon
(01:38:13):
on his way into the end zone and getting knocked
out of bounds. If this counts, it's going to be
twenty seven thirteen the Lions over the Vikings. But we
still haven't gotten a report from the officiating crew whether
or not they're going to count this one. All right,
Texans have the ball. The Cowboys got a field goal
(01:38:34):
to cut the Texas lead to twenty three to twenty
uh thirteen and a half minutes ago in the fourth court,
and that's game. Texans have the ball and it looks
like they're gonna have to punt. So the Cowboys, who
have been trailing most of this game, uh, should be
able to get the ball back. Course, we had a
punt early in the game that the Cowboys dropped, so
let's hang on for that. But it looks like right
(01:38:54):
now the Texans are punting and the Cowboys will get
the ball. Where is this ball going? Oh? Big bounce? Wow? Wow?
What a punt goes out of bounds around the eight
yard line. Actually they'll mark at the twelve, so that's
a big punt right there. So Cowboys will take over
trailing the Texans twenty three to twenty thirteen and a
(01:39:15):
half minutes ago in the fourth quarter in that game,
justin Jackson is in the extra point is good? Detroit
leads now twenty eight to thirteen. Yeah, So the Vikings stuff,
I said, you know again, what what's rock this slide?
What what am I missing here? How the lines favored
against the tenant too? Vikings team? Vegas knows, Vegas knows. Man.
It's one of those crazy things when a number shakes
(01:39:38):
you and when you go, hm, when am I missing? Well,
stay off that game, either that or corbet the side
that they're they're falling in love with, because this one
had had this one had fool's goal written all over it.
If you're into the Vikings heading into it, look and
and the reality is this is a team that winning
like this is has been and rare for them. You know,
(01:40:01):
this is the first season they've really done. So maybe
some of those ghosts that used to haunt them in
the past are starting to creep up. Still, I was
gonna say, still a lot of time left. The Vikings
have been in this position a couple of times times
where you're like, all right, games over, we can move
on and watch something else. Also when you look at
like the Vikings saw suddenly back in this game. So
(01:40:22):
to thirteen uh, and Jerikoff just has had a day.
Twenty three thirty four, two hundred and ninety two yards,
three touchdown passes for the much maligned at times Lions quarterback.
Buffalo extends their lead with a forty nine yard field goal.
So they are now up twenty to seven over the
(01:40:43):
New York Jets in Buffalo. So yeah, drive stalled, but
they were able to knock it through and in the
snow just flurries out there in Buffalo. Kind of kind
of a beautiful atmosphere for football when you're sitting in
a warm studio. Right now, exactly by the way, the Bills,
uh are right now currently the one seed. They have
the same record as the chief So right now the
(01:41:04):
Bills are the one seed. Why is that important? Because
only one team gets a bye in the first route
of the playoffs. A big game for the Bills today,
leading the Jets by a score of seven to go
in the fourth quarter. There, Hey, welcome to the Fox

Let's find out what is trending right now, and Mancy
has got her eye on her fantasy football teams today.
Some good news, I'm not so good news. I'm never
playing again. You know, I just can't like it's it's
(01:41:48):
so annoying and frustrating. You don't you have moments that
you're happy and enjoying the game, and then all of
a sudden, I want to flip this table in front
of me. So I had a season a couple of
years ago. We had I think or ten teams in
the league, and at the end of the year, I
had scored the second fewest points in the league and
I finished runner off. Oh that's pretty good. It's like
(01:42:10):
every week because my team just did not score points.
I literally got the worst of every team I played
all season long. So you know, you sit there, You're
like looking at your team like, hey, I got some points,
and then the other team's got you know, some you know,
Jared Goffe putting up like some ungodly numbers. Uh so
it's I don't know how you do. I don't. I don't, right,
(01:42:31):
I have to, and that's that's what sucks you. Just
I'm confused. I'm confused. Last week I jokingly was like,
Jared Goff m v P. This week, I'm gonna say
it again, Jared Goff m v P. This week. I mean,
come on, two yards, three touchdowns in the air, and
the lines are just dominating the Vikings. Really early in
the fourth quarter, the Jets are we seeing Joe Flacco
(01:42:53):
because they just posted the Jets that Mike White is
questionable to return with a rib injury, so we might
not see him. It might be Joe Flacco, and I
think it is back in the game for the Jets.
But the Bills are beating the Jets twenty seven early
in the fourth quarter as well. You mentioned that the
Shawn Watson officially has a touchdown under his belt as
a Brown but the Bengals are still beating the Browns
twenty to ten. They're about to start the fourth quarter.
(01:43:16):
Joe Burrow has thrown two and fourteen yards. He's known
for two touchdowns so far in the game. The Texans
raise your hand if you thought the Texans were gonna
beat the Cowboys, don't raise your hand. You're all line. No,
that was never supposed to have him. But the Texans
are beating the Cowboys twenty three to twenty early in
the fourth quarter as well. The Jaguars all over the Titans,
and the Times kind of came out hot. You mentioned
(01:43:36):
Derrick Henry is a slow start, has usually a slow start.
This one. He did it, but he's been quiet since then.
The Jaguars all over the Titans thirty three fourteen. They're
about to end the third quarter of that one. And
the Eagles, I mean Jalen Hurts. He's a hundred and
ninety eight yards and two touchdowns in the year. He
also has a rushing touchdown as the Eagles have been
dominating the Giants in New York. Thirty four or fourteen
(01:43:57):
is a score ten minutes to go in the game,
and the Ravens have extended their lead with another field goal,
So they're beating the Steelers sixteen to seven with three
minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Back to you guys,
all right, So to illustrate the Monsey thank you very
much on why this league is so bizarre. So we
have seven games going on right now. Only one of
these games is a one score game, and that's the Texans,
(01:44:20):
who were seven teen point underdogs in Dallas. They just
forced a Cowboys punt, so Dallas got the ball back,
did zip with it, and now they've had a punt
back to the Texans. So Texans will take over twelve
twenty two to go. But yeah, we're always waiting to
sort of see, you know, like what what where are
exciting finishes right now? This was a game that you
almost exed off before it began. I mean, the Cowboys
(01:44:42):
have been playing good football, the Texans have been playing
awful football. Game in Dallas, Cowboys seventeen point favorites, and
yet here we are with the Texans still leading the Cowboys. Yeah.
This is coming off of a fifty for nineteen drubbing
of the Indianapolis Colts. Yeah, I mean this is me
off of one of the most sensational fourth quarters points
(01:45:04):
I've ever seen, and also a defense that shut out
the opponent during that that quarter. So it was a
team effort to get the job done. But my goodness,
they have lost seven games in a row. They lost
to the Browns last week in a game where the
Browns had two defensive touchdowns and a punt return for
a touchdown. They could not have played any worse. This
(01:45:24):
one's on Dallas. I mean, Mike McCarthy, the leaders on
this team, Dak Prescott on the defense, Michael Parts, the
whole crew. You know, these coaches, I I don't know
what they were thinking. Maybe they were thinking, Okay, yeah, listen,
we kind of have an easy stretch of the season here.
After we beat up on the Giants, a close game
and a win. Now we go Indie, Houston Jacksonville before
(01:45:47):
we face the Philadelphia Eagles. So alright, we we got
three wins here before we face the Philadelphia Eagles. Not
so fast. The Jacks are winning today and buy a
lot over the Tennessee Titans that's their next abundant and
the Houston Tech since I get it, I understand they
haven't looked good in most of the games, but that's
a football team with Pro bowlers, that's a football team
with players, and you gotta go out there and execute
(01:46:09):
a plan they have not executed today. Tell you one
team that doesn't look like they're gonna have any comeback
in them today. Maybe are the Vikings. I'll tell you
what aided Hutchinson is the real deal, no question about that.
He is putting a lot of pressure. The Vikings will
try a field goal right now, trailing the Lions by
a score of twenty to thirteen. The field goal is good,
(01:46:31):
so twenty eight to sixteen. Lins will get the ball
back ten forty seven ago in the fourth quarter. There
what he got? Sam Rolf looks out over that in
Minnesota defense. Now he ducks in, hands it to Jackson
Fount outside of the Jackson fun Hankley for the ends
I'm getting get in, Yes, sir, touch do Lions. That's
(01:46:51):
w x y T FM ninety seven on the Ticket
Lions radio network. So that's the score to put the
Lions up, and the Vikings have had to settle for
a field goal. So the Lions still very much in control.
Twelve point lead, ten seven to go. So I was
looking around. The Ravens got a field goal, by the way,
increase in their lead to sixteen to seven over the Steelers.
(01:47:12):
In this game, Kenny Pickett was knocked out early with
a concussion. Urbisky has been at quarterback and he's thrown
three interceptions. He's been bad. It's been a rough day
for that Steeler's offense. Meanwhile, Tyler Huntley, who courses in
for the injured Lamar Jackson, he went out of this
game and we had to look this up. Anthony Brown
(01:47:36):
is currently the quarterback. He was the guy that was
at Oregon. I knew I had remembered the name because
I was working so much with Jeff Schwartz and he
was always not an Anthony Brown fan and as Alba
mater at Oregon, and I was like, where have I
heard that name before? He is the former Oregon quarterback.
(01:47:56):
But he's in the game now for the Ravens as
they lead on the road against the Dealers sixteen to seven. Well,
he's three or five today for sixteen, so you know, look,
he's uh, he hasn't gotten a lot of opportunities to throw,
but when he is, he's accurate. Not really, by the way,
the Jets have not been able to get in any
offense going against Buffalo today. Uh, the Bills are beatable
(01:48:18):
today because the Jets defense is that good. Mike White
pedestrian sixteen hundred sixty eight yards. They're just not getting
any offense going right now. Um, you know this is
a team that was really delta blow offensively early when
Breecee Hall went down, because the rookie out of Iowa
State looked like a big time running back and had
been for the Jets. And they just haven't had any
(01:48:39):
consistent running games since he went out. Yeah, no, they
really haven't. Um you look at uh you look at
the Browns now by the way, had a first and
ten shot gun pass thrown by Deshaun Watson intended for
people's jone. It's it's intercepted by Bates, so it goes
back to the Bengal and uh, he brought it all
(01:49:02):
the way back, not quite to the Brown side of
the field. Looks like it's down just just inside the
forty five yard line on the Cincinnati side of the ball.
But goodness gracious, nothing's going right for the Browns today.
Al Right, Steelers are not out of this. Down sixteen seven.
I mentioned Rabinsky is throwing three interceptions. He just threw
an insanely beautiful pass. Uh. They got Pittsburgh all the
(01:49:26):
way down to the ravens uh ten yard line. So
the Steelers down nine. Problem for the Steelers are running
out of time. This game is ahead of the other games,
or inside three minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
But right now the Steelers have a second and goal
at the Ravens ten yard line. Eagles blowing out the Giants,
(01:49:47):
are running out the game. They're thirty four fourteen Eagles
over the Giants. Jalen Hurts has thrown a couple of touchdowns,
run for a touchdown. Jaguars seemed to be coasting right now,
up thirty three fourteen against the Titan's um and again
Bengals get the ball back after the interception. Lead the
Browns twenty three to ten. So we don't have a
whole lot in terms of exciting finishes, but potentially if
(01:50:11):
the Steelers can get into the end zone. It looks
like the Ravens have been called for past interference in
the end zone. Oh, we're having a discussion right now
with officials. Let's see what happened here. So it was
a second and goal at the Baltimore ten yard line,
(01:50:31):
and I don't know are they I think they're having
a discussion whether or not that was a catchable ball.
Let's see what the ruling is gonna be here. They
are going to call it offensive passing. It's oh wait, okay,
come on now, offsetting offensive. Okay, So they had offsetting
pass interference calls in the ends. So they had it
(01:50:54):
on Deante Johnson and then on the Baltimore Ravens. Often
you see offset pass interference calls, it's rare, it happens.
That is really rare, especially in the end zone. So
now they just replay the down. Uh. Meanwhile, the Jaguars
have just picked up a fumble, So the Titans have
basically given up, is what they've done. It is snowing
(01:51:15):
now in Buffalo. It is might not gonna make it
easy for the Jets. And this Jets offense though, looking
to go deep on their side ball, and it is
wildly overthrown. Mike White took a big hit on that shot.
So it brings up fourth and thirteen. They're gonna be
punting it back touchdown by the Steelers muth in the
end zone on a Trabinsky strike, and so that is
(01:51:38):
good for six and all of a sudden, like you
just said, we got a ball game bruin in Pittsburgh. Alright,
So an extra point away from making it a two
point game. Two and a half minutes ago in the
fourth quarter, So somehow the Steelers are gonna have to
get the ball back. But on a replay of second
and goal from the ten, we have a touchdown pass
uh Trobinsky Uh throwing that ball? Where was the receiver there?
(01:52:02):
Tight end? The tight end got it, great pass and
there you go. That was a perfect pass, perfect catch,
really tough throw there down near the end zone. Extra
point is good. So the Ravens will get the ball back.
We'll see. I don't know what do you do now
two and a half minutes ago? Do you on sidekick
with two and a half minutes ago or do you
hope it's not like the Ravens are on their third
string quarterback Anthony Brown. You feel like you can stop
(01:52:24):
him and get the ball back? What do you do
if you're the Steelers? Boy? Yeah, in a half minutes?
I mean again, you got Anthony Brown at quarterback. He
hasn't only done anything. Do you trust that you're gonna
get the ball back? That's a tough call. We'll see
what the Steelers do. All right, We're gonna continue on
here as we get down to the finish line. Meanwhile,
(01:52:44):
we have the Dallas Cowboys still trailing the Texans by
a score of twenty three to twenty uh and uh.
By the way, the Cowboys have the ball right now,
first intent at their own one yard line. Yeah, good luck.
It has just been that kind of day for them. Yeah.
I look, here's what I don't understand about Dallas is
(01:53:06):
I mean, you know what this game is. It's a
home game for you. You know that the Texans Houston
is going to put forth. You know, another thing about
the NFL, people don't talk about enough. A lot of
players in the NFL are from Texas. Texas is a
hotbed for high school recruits and then obviously Texas football
at the college level. You know, this is still meaningful,
Like even in a bad season, there's a lot of pride,
(01:53:28):
There's a lot of families in the stands. Like I
I don't know, it just feels like that's the only excuse.
It just feels like Dallas is looking past Houston. They
look great early. Yeah, Tony Pollard going off early in
this game, and then they just let their foot off
the gas and Houston's roared back. Well, it was a
fumbled up punt return by the Dallas Cowboys they gave
(01:53:48):
the Texas a chance. They took advantage, tied to score
early at seven. And it's been Texans and the Cowboys
battling eight minutes ago on the fourth quarter, and the
Cowboys have to take over at their own one yard line.
All right, we got some potentially exciting finishes coming up.
Don't go anywhere, keep it right here. This is Fox
Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,
(01:54:13):
and we've got the place that you may have miss
Dubinsky in the gun. He looks back, looks right, pirates
it over the middle Toptyle pat Fradle prop ten yards up.
He beat. Kyle Hamilton's now back live to the studios
of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio.
(01:54:36):
All right. So that's w d v E one O
two five FM Steelers Radio network. The Ravens have the
ball third and fourteen from their own thirty yard line,
and they have the lead sixteen fourteen, one nineteen to
go and now fourth down. They ran the clock down
to thirty eight seconds. So that's how much time is
(01:54:59):
gonna be left for the Steelers to try to manufacture
a win, as the Ravens will kick to them. Uh. Meanwhile,
the Dallas Cowboys are in trouble, big, big trouble. A
pass uh deep in his own uh territory, dek Prescott's
harm was hit as he threw the ball was intercepted
(01:55:20):
by the Texans. So the Texans take over. Now what
do you do if you're the Texas to go? You
have fourth and goal at the three? Do you go
for the field goal? Or did he go for the
And they're stuffed by the Dallas Cowboys. So the goal
line defense comes up big for Dallas. What kind of
call is this? It looked like a busted play that
(01:55:43):
Davis Mills looked around and then had to run it.
This is why the Texans are this bad? Well, they
are terrible, and yet they're still beating the Cowyah. There
one win team. They're bad. They're looking at they've been
looking pretty good today against this Dallas Cowboys turn line
to put this game away and they well that's what
bad teams do. But Dallas is getting beat by a
(01:56:04):
bad team. And by the way, there's two reasons why
I'm going for it if I'm Houston. One, Uh, what
do you gotta lose? Okay, So that's first and foremost. Two,
I mean realistically, Yeah, that place, Jeff Driscoll is looking
one way, the runner back is going the other way. Yeah, Burkehead, Uh,
he's going right. Then Driscoll is going left for the
(01:56:24):
hand on. Yeah, he's going well for a toss. It
was supposed to be a pitch play at the goal
line that was not aimed for driftscoll But yeah, and
then the other reason why you go for it is
because your defense just force an interception against Dac out
of his own m zone. Try to do it again,
except this time he connects with Schultz and they are
out past the twenty yard line. So Dallas quickly got
(01:56:45):
themselves out from under the shadow of the goal post.
Let me tell you something, if the Texans lose this game,
I mean, what what is love Smith doing. He's coaching,
He's head coaching in the NFL. Like literally, were handed
an opportunity to put this game away at least have
a ten point lead or a six point lead. Now
(01:57:06):
Dallas suddenly has life and Dak Prescott has run for
near first down. Okay, realistically, when Lovey Smith was hired,
did you think to yourself, oh, yeah, good hire, that's
going to be the film think is like nobody else
wanted the job. Yeah. Look, the reality is there are
certain jobs. There are certain times where they're gonna take
a risk in a year where they know that they're
(01:57:29):
rebuilding on a on a young coach and give him
a shot. There are certain times you bring in a
veteran who you know eventually you're gonna move on from.
I think that was more of the situation for Lovey Smith. Alright.
So the Cleveland Browns still trying to stay alive in
their game against the Bengals, down twenty three and a ten,
have a fourth and goal at the Cincinnati six yard
(01:57:50):
line right now. So DeShawn Watson, by the way, thirty
seven two d seventy yards and a touchdown in this game.
He has also thrown an interception. But here we go,
fourth and goal at the six yard line at Cleveland
score here and they are very much back in the game.
Watson throws the ball to Cooper and it is oh
(01:58:13):
my goodness. I think those people's jones, wasn't it was
the people's jones in and out of the hands. Yeah,
it was people's jones. He looked like he had a chance.
No flags on the play, So that is it. The
Bengals would get the ball on a turnover downs, leading
the Browns wide score of three to ten. Eagles. Do
we have another Eagles score to play anything like that?
(01:58:36):
I don't know. He breaks away at the five side touchdown.
I just can't keep track of all the Eagles score.
That's w i P once again. Eagles Radio Network. Um,
they have forty eight on the Giants today. The Giants
not bad when you're going against a divisional opponent who's
(01:58:56):
trying to get themselves back off the schneide, back off
the mat to just absolutely pummel them into the turf. Hey,
that had a great showing last week against the Washington Commanders. Yeah,
that was That was a hard fought football game, another
home game where they took him all the way to
over time and then it just looked like neither team
really want to win. They were playing for the tie.
(01:59:17):
But this game, this has not been the effort you
want to see from a team that was rolling the
way the Giants were. Giants have one win in their
last five games, make that one out of six Sjaleen
Hurt two hundred seventeen yards passing two touchdowns note picks.
He's also run for seventy seven yards and a score.
Miles Sanders is having to day seventeen carries a hundred
and forty four yards and two touchdowns. So he's putting
(01:59:41):
up some points for your fantasy football team if Miles
Sanders is one of your guys. Uh. Let's see here
the Lions and the Vikings. Allions lead this game by
a score of thirty one to sixteen. The Vikings have
the ball, but just four minutes remaining. I'm not gonna
canto Vikings out. I don't know. The Vikings keep coming
up with ways to to get games close at the end,
(02:00:02):
but they got a lot of work today. Uh. They
have a second out of their own twenty nine yard
line just four minutes ago. Down by fifteen points. Uh,
the Jets are down twenty to nineteen. We're getting close
to the two minute warning. Jets are on the move.
It's been snowing. The weather is only getting worse in
Buffalo right now. And uh, looking at this situation for
(02:00:26):
the Jets, they just have had a real problem just
trying to get the ball in the end zone. They
actually got a safety here. Uh that's how they got
to nine. Uh. Let's see one other game to report
on at this point, and that's the Jaguars and the Titans.
Titans are down thirty six to fourteen seven a half
minutes to go. They're not gonna win this game. But
they just did score. They just got in the end zone.
(02:00:49):
Let's see what that latest score was. Yeah, Nick Westbrook
a keene for a touch and was not just a
short pass he took to the house. All right, let's
keep it right here. Much more coming up. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the
best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of

Eagles Radio network and it has been all Eagles today.
Giants did score, got a two point pass, not nearly enough.
(02:01:32):
Eagles leading by a score of forty eight to twenty
two final seconds. By the way, Darryl moose Johnson is
at that game. He'll join us a little bit later
on just tell us how good this Eagles team is. Meanwhile,
the Cowboys have a third and goal right now at
the Texans three yard line. They run the ball up
the middle, touchdown Cowboys, and so the Texans proving why
(02:01:54):
bad teams just find ways to lose games. That a
three point lead, that a first in gold the Cowboys
five yard line after an interception, and on a fourth
and goal from the three yard line, Driscoll, the quarterback
looked one way, Burke had the running back ran another way.
They had to eat the ball and Dak Prescott has
led a maybe game winning drive for the Dallas Cowboys
(02:02:18):
as we have forty one seconds left. Yeah, I'll tell
you Zeke Elliott. I mean, he just looks different this
season than he has in years passed, and they're usually
they're using him more near the goal line than they
than they are used to, you know. I mean a
lot of times they'll employ more of a passing package,
but they're just trying to play just rough house football
(02:02:39):
down near van zone. And twenty one's got a lot
of touchdowns on the year. Tony Pollard does a lot
of work between the twenties, but when they get in
the scoring range like five yards and in, it's almost
always Zeke who's getting his number called, and he's he's
got a knack for finding his way in all right,
it is now a final. The Ravens have held on
to beat the Steelers by a score of sixteen of fourteen.
(02:03:01):
So no miracle come back for the Steelers today. Kenny
Pickett was knocked out of the game early with a concussion.
Trabisky came in to three picks, did have a touchdown
late in the game. But the Ravens uh run their
record to nine and four. And anytime you could win
games when you were without your starting quarterback, and they
were down to their third string quarterback today after the
(02:03:24):
Huntley injury, but they they hang on to win this
game by a score of sixteen and fourteen. The Ravens
are now nine and four City a top that a
f C North. Yeah. It was Anthony Brown in at
quarterback and they did what the Ravens do. They just
ran the football down the Steelers next. Yeah. J K.
Dobbins back from injury. Fifteen carries one hundred twenty on
(02:03:47):
the ground, a touchdown and that long rush in the
first quarter of forty four yards. Gus Edwards also added
to the party thirteen carries for sixty six yards. He
had a long rush too. It's just one of those
offenses where if you're going against a team that's struggling,
like the Steelers have been this season, even though defense
isn't the biggest of their struggles, you can get wins
(02:04:09):
by sticking to what you do. Just concentrate on what
makes your team special, which is the run game, and
they did that today. All right, Bills trying to put
away the Jets right now, leading twenty to twelve. Inside
a minute ago. They have a third and six, they
get stopped, so we'll get to a fourth down coming
up here. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have kicked off to the Texans.
Texans will take over on their own twenty five yard line,
(02:04:31):
trailing by a score of twenty seven to twenty three.
The Lions are down to the Vikings thirty two yard
line and they have a first down. The Vikings did
score to cut the lead to thirty one three. Here
was that score. Cousins out of the shotgun, rolls to
the left, grows to the left to b end zone. Touchdown.
(02:04:52):
J j K from Minneapolis and the Vikings radio network.
But the Lions took over. How a this uh Kirk
Cousins today thirty of thirty nine, four hundred five yards
passing in two touchdowns and Jared off seven thirty nine
three and in thirty yards and three touchdowns. So two
(02:05:13):
quarterbacks putting up some sizeable numbers. But it is the
Lions in control inside two minutes with the eight point lead,
and they have the football. Alright, We're keeping her eye
on the Texans right now. They need a miracle. Thirty
five seconds left. They have a second intendant at their
own twenty five yard line. It's unfortunate for them. If
you had the money line in this game of the Texans,
you are looking at a big pay day, huge pass
(02:05:37):
over the middle, complete and more catches, a forty yard pass.
The problem is the Texans have no time out, so
they have no way to stop the clocks and they
have to run, run, run. He's gonna spike it here.
Davis Mills just threw a strike on the run. He
got flushed out of the pockets ranging to his right
and he got them all the way inside of dallas
forty five yard line. My goodness, all right, So four
(02:06:00):
seconds left after the spike, here was the Dallas touchdown
in the gun Prescott snap back handoff, Elliott driving pushing
touch down for the Tattle takes the Cattle says, I'm
not getting the fine, I'm just taking the touchdown. There.
It is Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. So we got a
(02:06:21):
second and ten for the Texans there on the Dallas
forty four yard line, fourteen seconds left. They have no
time out, so clock is winding down. The play clocks snapped.
The ball there goes so Davis Mills gets sacked and
that's there's a flag though there's a flag on the play.
Otherwise that would be at the end of the game.
(02:06:42):
You cannot get sacked on first and ten to finish
the game is out against the defense. It's gotta be again,
it's gotta be offside. It looks like it is illegal
procedure offense against the offense full start, so it was.
The play was ruled dead, so they get at least
a break there, Otherwise the clock would have run out. Meanwhile,
(02:07:03):
the Jets have the ball down eight uh. They got
forty seconds remaining in this game against the Bills, and
they have a third and tent at their own twenty
one yard line, so they also have a mile and
a half to go. Let's keep it here with Dallas
and Houston. Fourteen seconds left, a second and fifth team
from the forty nine yard line of the Dallas Cowboys
(02:07:24):
and again down four. Texas need to get into the
end zone here to pull off the upset of the year,
and they got left tackle jumped again. The left tackle
jumped again, So I don't know, maybe he's trying to
get an early start on their next game. But yeah,
that's two in a row, so now it's first in twenty.
Let me ask you this, how does that work in
(02:07:45):
the meetings on Monday when they're looking at your tackle
going doing that on Well, the problem for Tunsel, by
the way, yeah, Laramie Tunsil is look, you know, I mean, everybody,
including Pro Bowl players, are auditioning for whether or not
they're going to be a part of the future of
the team. So you gotta be careful what you do
late in the season. All right, we finally got a
(02:08:05):
snap off without a penalty flag, and we're gonna get
a pass to the end zone, and let's see how
this one works. As a good pass out of the
end zone intercepted by the Cowboys. The game is over.
So the Dallas Cowboys survived today, as they'll beat the
Dallas Texans by a score of twenty seven to twenty three. Meanwhile,
(02:08:27):
the Bills got the ball back on a fourth down
play by the Jets. So the Bills are going to
escape with a victory today to twelve over the Jets.
Escape is right, I mean, this first half, this is
the tail of two halves. The first half looked like
it was gonna be the Jets day, and then in
the third quarter the tide started a shift and you
(02:08:48):
you you realize, look, the Bills lad wired to wire,
but it just didn't look like they were in control
of this football game until the fourth quarter. But that's
all that matters. If you're a good second half team
and you have a lot of talented star players like
the Bills do. I mean, there's a lot of good
that can happen to you in the postseason. They hang on,
(02:09:08):
they survived this one. It's a big division win. Uh.
This sets them still at the top of the AFC
right now in terms of standings, which means that if
the playoffs started today, the Bills would have to buy
all right. Uh, we got the Lions and the Vikings
and the Lions have run the clock down. They have
a fourth and eight at Minnesota's thirty yard line, so
(02:09:29):
they ran the clock down to twenty two seconds. Now,
the question here is you're up eight. Obviously, if you
kick a field goal here, the game's over. But if
you missed the field goal, the Vikings at least have
some chance. I mean, I don't know the balls at
(02:09:50):
the thirty yard line, so I mean I so it
looks like Detroit is going to attempt a field goal here.
Twenty two seconds left. Fourth and eight at the Minnesota
thirty yard line has been a hell of a game
for both quarterbacks today. Yeah, it's tricky. I mean you're
you're trailing by eight, Like you said, is there time enough? Yeah,
there's time enough. We just saw it. I mean the
(02:10:12):
Texans had a shot at the end zone after one
long play list. Obviously, this field goal attempt is good
and it's over. The Lions will win this game forty
nine yard attempt. The Lions lead at thirty twenty three,
and they will beat the Minnesota Vikings. As the oddsmakers
said in Vegas, they were two and a point favors.
They cover easily, so the Vikings will drop to ten
(02:10:33):
and three on the season, which, by the way, with
the Dallas victory, they're also ten and three. The problem
is is that indeed we have a situation where the
Eagles aren't losing, so the Cowboys are still staring at
a wild card once again, broadcasting live from the tire
irack dot Com studios ti irack dot com. We're gonna
(02:10:54):
help get you there and unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
free road hats and protection over ten thousand wreck a
minute installers ti iraq dot com the way tire buying
should be. All right, We're going to continue on with
more as we have some games kicking off right now,
including the Chiefs on the road against the Broncos. This
is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio, Steve Harb and Rich Harburger,
(02:11:16):
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. We are live from the
ti iraq dot com studios. All right, So all the
games from earlier today are in the books, and we
just were void of any truly exciting finishes there. We
did have a brief moment of possible upset of the
century before the Texans turned back into the Texans and
(02:11:37):
the Cowboys uh came from behind to beat the Texans
by a score of twenty seven to twenty three. So
right now we have one game just kicking off. The
Chiefs have an early three nothing lead against the Broncos
coming up here shortly, the Buccaneers on the road against
the forty Niners, and the Panthers on the road against
the Seahawks. How we get back to just sort of
the playoff positioning right now, rich as we look at
(02:12:02):
that point of the year, this is the last bye
week in the NFL. They only had thirteen games this week.
In the NFL, six teams on the final by But
you look at the NFC right now, with Detroit winning,
they are at six and seven. So right now the
Seahawks are seven and five, they're the six seed. The
Commanders with the loss by the Giants today, those two
(02:12:25):
teams are tied at seven five and one. The Commanders
have the tiebreaker over the Giants, but the Lions are
right there. And as these NFC East teams could beat
up on each other, there's actually a possibility that the Lions,
if they can continue to win, could actually sneak into
(02:12:46):
the playoffs. If you look ahead of the Lions, it's
the Giants who are in the hot seat right now
and they have to face Washington again after tying them
the first time around at home, they have to go
on the road this time him they have to go
on the road to Minnesota. They have to go then
face the Colts. So I could easily see the Lions
(02:13:07):
leap frogging them. And then in terms of cracking the
lineup or the playoff bracket, I mean one of these teams,
could you see it being the Commanders. Well, I'm looking
at what what it's gonna take to get that last
wild card spot. Well, the command nine and eight get in.
Commanders have to go on the road to face San Francisco.
(02:13:28):
They've got to they got to host the Cleveland Browns,
who you assume we're going to get better and better
with the Shawn getting more and more comfortable. And then
they got to host the Dallas Cowboys. So assuming the
Commanders and the Giants both stumble and the Lions keep
doing what the Lions have done the second half of
the season, yeah, very easily. Well, I don't know easily.
Three of the last four games are on the road.
(02:13:48):
Next week would be a huge game for the Lions.
They're on the road against the Jets, another team that's
gonna be fighting for a playoff position next to it.
Games after that though, at the Panthers Bears at home
should win the those and the irony is for the Lions.
They finished the season in Green Bay. Uh. I don't
know if there were a lot of people that would
(02:14:09):
have predicted to this point that the Lions would be
one game up on the Packers, but that's where they
are right now. And um, yeah, the first time they did,
they absolutely and we don't really know what the state
of the Packers is gonna be weeks seventeen, week eighteen actually,
uh And and you know what's gonna be their offense.
(02:14:30):
So the Lions with the win today, having won five
of their last six games after starting the season one
and six, let's put it this way, mathematically, they're still alive.
Now another team that, you know, the Jets losing today
was good news for New England and the Chargers. So
the Jets dropped to seven and six. They still hang
(02:14:51):
onto that seven slot, but the Patriots and the Chargers
both sitting at six and six, you know, they needed
the Jets lose today. Um, it's been an interesting season
for both the Patriots and the Chargers. This year because
the Patriots offensively have really struggled. We had Mac Jones
have a meltdown. But you know, because yeah, Belichick, it
(02:15:14):
kept your head above water. And the Chargers are really
as an improbable six and six team as we've seen
this year. I mean, they just they look bad. You
want to talk about winning close games, that has been
the Chargers. They have dropped down two ten points or
more in the first quarter. Um In I think it's
(02:15:34):
four of their last six games they've done that, right,
and they've they've found ways to win, you know what
I mean. Now, look, the overall record isn't great, um
and they've lost a lot of those games, but the
fact that they were even able to muster the win
in Atlanta, the win against Arizona Cardinals, they pulled that
rabbit either hat. But I mean, if you look at
(02:15:55):
the loss, an embarrassing loss to the Raiders last outing,
I mean, this is a team that's got a lot
to prove. They've got postseason goals ahead of them, and
Miami is absolutely rolling right now. I saw a stat
on to a tongue of Voloa that was very interesting
that when he's playing against coverage, he's a really really
good quarterback of dicing apart coverage teams. Well, guess what
(02:16:18):
the Chargers like to do. They like to play charge.
They like to play coverage. They don't necessarily want to
blitzya and and expose themselves. But um, that's where that's
where to a feasts. Let me ask you, this is
it now part of the regular schedule that the Chargers
are on Sunday night football? It does sort of feel
that way. I mean, how is this possible that a
(02:16:39):
mediocre team because they have a star quarterback and a
star who's playing well at quarterback, it's also playing at
Sofi Stadium. Let's let's make something insanely clear about where
the future of the NFL is in terms of the league.
It's in l a. Uh. The NFL Network building is
right next to so Fi Stadium. That's where the executive
(02:17:01):
office as a being move. But it's just insane that
the Chargers, as they take on the Dolphins tonight, are
once again featured in the most watched television program in America. Yep,
it is Uh, it's pretty it's pretty sensational that they've
been able to kind of sneak their way and they're
underdogs at home today, by the way, against the Dolphins.
(02:17:22):
It's not like Charger fans are showing up. It's still
a very limited fan base, uh for the Chargers. Every
game they play, pretty much the opposing team is going
to have more fans at the game than they are.
Oddly enough, Miami shows out really well in l A.
I had no idea until I went to with this
is back when the Chargers were still playing in in
(02:17:44):
the Carson Soccer Stadium. But I went to one of
their games there against Miami, and Miami fans filled that place. Yeah. Look,
so far has gotten much more seats, but still, I mean,
like you said, Chargers, they just aren't really a draw.
What you need to do to to make yourself a
draw in any city is you gotta win championships. And
(02:18:05):
they have a quarterback talented enough to they just don't
have a team around him that appears either healthy enough
or capable enough to win with him. They've only been
in the playoffs twice since two thousand and nine. You
know one of those because you were the star of
one of those teams, Rich Orenberger. You save the season
for the Chargers back in twenty third team the Seattle Seahawks.
They host the Panthers today. They can't afford any stumbles.
(02:18:28):
They'll have the forty Niners coming up to Seattle next week,
big road game against the Chiefs. That's gonna be rough.
But then they finished at home. They got four of
their last five games at home. The last two games
are against the Jets and the Ramps. I mean, the
Seahawks really have it set up nights to get into
the postseason. If this team gets to the postseason. With
(02:18:48):
Gino Smith, I picked him, I have it on the
ledge and we have you know, our preseason predictions here
at Fox Sports Radio. I posted the Seahawks as my
prediction as the worst team in the NFL. Where does
this put Pete Carroll in terms of Coach of the
Year honors and everything else. If this Seattle Seahawks team
takes it to the postseason, he's got my vote. He's
(02:19:10):
got my vote. I mean, because everybody was counting out
the Seahawks this year as a team that was um
was trying to tank, and Pete Carroll said, Nope, that
is the exact opposite. Actually, what we're trying to do
is maybe win this division. And now is it gonna
be tough with the San Francisco forty Niners coming on. Yeah. Sure,
but all of a sudden, the San Francisco forty Niners
(02:19:31):
are onto their third string quarterback. Purty just got leveled. Yeah,
that might be a targeting foul. Uh, you know, roughing, roughing,
the passing foul on Neil. But Purty just took a
gigantic just got lit up. He wasn't seeing him and
helmet helmet shot. Now Purty got up, he bounced right
(02:19:55):
to his feet. Well, and here's the problem. So that
was off the two receiver's side to the right, So
this is in his blind side. He needs to know
that's coming. He needs to help himself. That's a hot
route all day long. Neil was coming off of a receiver.
You need to find the short route to the right side.
Throw it over his head. That's the first play of
the game. That'll get your teeth rattled to start things off. Well,
(02:20:16):
you know a lot of quarterbacks, a lot of quarterbacks
who and they'll say this almost to a man during
their first ever start in the NFL, they said, I
just wanted to get hit, to get that first hit
out of the way. Well, well he got one. Right
to the chops. But to tell you what, he got
right up. So, uh, you know, earlier we talked to
Aaron Andrews about Brock party. Mr Irrelevant doesn't like to
(02:20:38):
be called that anymore. But he's getting his first started
in the game in which the guy on the other
side is simply the goat. His first pass was not
a good win to Deebo Sam It was behind him. Yeah,
well actually might he might be seeing you know, you
can get up. That doesn't mean your head's all there.
To tell you what, he hit Deebo in the shoulder
with that pass. I don't think Debo was ready for it,
(02:20:59):
which No. Or nineteen needs to get hit, needs to
help his quarterback out here as they faced the second
and ten after the incompletion. But yeah, look, Brock Purdy,
I was just talking about it. This team is onto
their third string quarterback, and I realized that Jimmy Garoppolo
was the start of last year and Trey Lance was
a first round pick. But that's who he is. He
was a third stringer for a reason. Yeah, I'm I mean, yes,
(02:21:22):
Tom Brady was drafted in the sixth round, and I
get it sometimes that pans out, but most of the time,
it doesn't. And I don't know if anybody was watching
Iowa State when Brock Purdy was there, But he's a
seventh round draft pick for a reason. Now I'm not
trying to attack the guy. He may have learned a
lot this season from the quarterbacks in front of him
and from Kyle Shanahan, who's a talented coach. But the
(02:21:44):
forty Niners need to script this offense to protect his
limitations because he will be limited. This is first ever
go at this, Iowa Sam. I want to bring on
Iowa Sam for a second. Remind me again because last season,
Iowa State was a preseason top ten teams and brock
Purty by all accounts, had a very disappointing season. Well
(02:22:06):
they lost. They I don't know, you don't want to
say anything that it's not it's not that I'm trying
to think like I mean, I remember you complaining the
party is not playing well. Their offense, they were top
ten t Yeah, they had you know, Breece Hall, they
Charlie Kohler and uh and brock Purty back and yeah
they went seven and six. They did not meet the expectations.
I think he was just this the pressure on them
(02:22:27):
that led them to kind of falter to them all
have pressure, Yeah, I mean every day here, right of course, Yeah,
lots of pressure here. Yeah. Um, well on this opening
drive one any things that if you hand the ball
to a running back and he runs for thirty yards,
that's always a good. Good guy named Christian McCaffrey is
a guy that's gonna make any quarterback look a little
bit better. Let's find out what is a trending right
(02:22:49):
now as well. We will go back monthly. So we
got seven games in the books, yes we do, and
what's trending as love E Smith and not in the
greatest way, but that's what's trending right now. And we
do have three games going on in the NFL. The
Chiefs are the only ones that have scored and it's
a field goal, so they're up on the Broncos three zero.
(02:23:11):
The Panthers and the Seahawks just got going scoreless, and
the Buccaneers in the forty Niners just got going scoreless.
But even though the Buccaneers are playing in San Francisco,
there's probably gonna be a lot of Tom Brady fans
because Aaron Andrews. So you guys spoke to earlier today
just said that for the first time, Tom Brady had
to ask for one hundred tickets for friends and family
to attend this game. So there's gonna be a lot
(02:23:33):
of Tom Brady fans over at the forty Niners game.
And the Worniners just scored rushing touchdown by Dino Samuel. Yes,
so the Niners are on the scoreboard first against the Buccaneers.
Six zero right now is a score early in the
first quarter and seven games officially in the books with
one team officially advancing to the playoffs, they have clinched
a playoff spot. The Eagles, who absolutely dominated the Giants
(02:23:57):
forty eight to twenty two. There twelve and one for
the season. Back Miles Sanders had seventeen carries, a hundred
and forty four yards and and two touchdowns. For the
first time in his career he has over one thousand
yards rushing. And then Jalen Hurts twenty one thirty one
for twenty and seventeen yards and two touchdowns plus a
rushing touchdown. This was the tenth rushing touchdown of the
(02:24:17):
season for Jalen Hurts. So now he joins Cam Newton
as the only quarterbacks in NFL history with ten or
more rushing touchdowns in multiple seasons and the first to
ever do it in consecutive seasons. And then at the
end we were asking where se Kwon Barkley was. I
was asking because I have him on my fantasy league.
Nine carries, twenty eight yards poop, That's what it is.
The Jaguars topped the Titans six to twenty two. The
(02:24:41):
Lions defeated the Vikings thirty twenty three. They've won five
of the last six games. Chared Goff twenty seven or
thirty nine for three hundred and thirty yards and three touchdowns.
Kirk Cousins thirty and forty for four hundred and five
yards and two touchdowns, but it just wasn't enough. The
Bengals had a slow start, but they beat the Browns
twenty three to ten, and then the Bills defeated the
Jets twenty to twelve. Mike White, they just announced They
(02:25:05):
told the reporters that he's headed to the hospital as
a precaution. They think he heard his ribs a little bit.
He got sacked a couple of times, and they're testing
for potential internal injuries. And the Cowboys they survived. He
had three over the texansch Tak Prescott through for two
four yards and a touchdown. He also threw for two
interceptions the Ravens. They held on and beat the Steelers
(02:25:26):
sixteen fourteen with a bunch of quarterbacks that we don't
even know. Back to you guys, hold on, what are
they saying about Lovey Smith after that debacle that they
could have put the game away? And by the way,
what was the Ryan What was the line on that Cowboy?
It was a seventeen point spread. What was the money
line on that game was? Imagine if you had a
(02:25:49):
plus nine fifty three point lead first and all the
five yard line. They completely screwed up the last to play.
Smiths getting a little uh, a little like somebody just tweeted,
Levy Smith cost me so much joy today? Yeah wow, um,
somebody could have made a lot of money on that game.
All right, Moncy, thanks so much. Welcome to the Fox

Let me say this before anyone else says this. Brock
Purty owns Tom Brady. Okay, I just want to I
(02:26:32):
want to be the first to say that Brock Party
owns Tom Brady. Is the forty niners first drive as
a starting quarterback? Boom? Was it Brock or was it McCaffrey?
And debot again? Eastern quarterback is two for three for
eighteen yards. Okay, but right now brock Purty owns Tom. Well,
(02:26:55):
we'll see what the tail of the tape is on
their screw. This is actually true with Kyle Shanahan when
when he has his game opening script he is one
of the most devastating play callers in the league. But
there's argument and there's proof that late in games sometimes
Kyle Shanahan can't really coach his way out of certain circumstances.
(02:27:17):
And I don't know Brady was a part of one
of them. Pretty important one too, so gonna be interesting
to see what happens. Also, this may be an audition
for Tom Brady. Let's face it, uh, Tom most likely
on the move after this season with Tampa Bay. There's
a lot of discord there this offseason. Uh you know this,
this was not a conventional offseason for Tom Brady in
(02:27:40):
no way retired then unretired after Bruce Arians got quote
unquote moved to the front office where he's golfing a lot,
and Todd Bowles takes over as the head coach and
then he has complete control of the offense. So we'll
see if um Kyle Shanahan likes what he sees today.
But San Francisco could be a landing spot for Tom
Brady and free agency. Well, here's the thing about Tom
(02:28:02):
Brady this year, he leads the NFL and both attempts
and completions he's fourteenth and touchdown passes. So for whatever reason,
I mean, he's been able to put up numbers, they
just haven't gotten the end zone. I mean even last week,
you know, come back against the Saints, some money, they
only scored seventeen points. That's basically what they've been scoring
every week. There seven in the league at a thirty
(02:28:24):
two in scoring. So he's throwing the ball a ton,
which is probably not a good thing when you're forty
five years of age. I don't care who you are,
just piling up miles on that arm, but they just
haven't gotten the end zone. How much did they miss Gronk?
I mean, their red zone offense has been awful. They
missed Tristan Worths, they missed Ryan Jansen, who was hurt
(02:28:48):
in training camp. I mean, this offensive line was so
much better last year and that and a big part
of the reason why Times had to throw the football
so much is because the run game hasn't really caught
on yet. It's we fourteen. They just they've just really
never been able to consistently keep it going on the ground.
So they've leaned on number twelve to carry this football
(02:29:08):
team offensively, and he's done a good enough job to
keep them in the playoff conversation and certainly at the
top of their division. All right, and that's not saying
much in that division. Remember again, they win that division,
they're the four seed and they will host most likely
the Dallas Cowboys. And you know, it's funny. I asked
you earlier about if you were the Cowboys, would you
(02:29:30):
be concerned about Tampa. Yesterday, Adam Capelan I asked him
the same question. He goes, you have no idea how
bad Tampa Bay is. I mean that is. I mean defensively, yeah,
there's certainly more than respectable, but offensively, all the numbers
just do not add up. They don't have a running game,
their red zone offense is as bad as it gets
in the league. And you're only maybe thrown off a
(02:29:52):
little because while they got Tom Brady. But again, I
certainly would never bet against Tom Brady. I'm gonna tell
you this. So this guy next to me here, when
Brady went to Tampa Rich predicted before the season began
that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are gonna win the Super Bowl.
I just thought, Okay, you're just being ridiculous. I know
you played with Tom Brady, but this is an eight
(02:30:13):
and eight team. They were coming up eight and there's
no way in the planet that Tom Brady is gonna
win a Super Bowl. And he was right. Well, look again,
Tom Brady is a huge X factor and and yes,
I understand all of the offensive numbers don't really add
up and it doesn't look right, but it's Tom Brady
against Dak Prescott. You know, in a vacuum, you take
Tom Brady every time. When you started introducing the other factors,
(02:30:36):
it gets a lot more difficult. But but I'll say this,
that's that is a leg up on the competition every
single time, is who is your quarterback? When you have
a great one like Brady, When you have a great
one like a Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen, you've got
a chance to go all the way. And only two
of the three who I mentioned even won a Super Bowl.
So there you go. That's how difficult it is. Sam,
(02:30:57):
do you got that? Forty Niner score? Goes a jet
sweet motion flip ninety going right to debug gets the edge,
turns the quarter dal the sideline all the way to
the utline. Touch down. San fran Cisco hamm me are
forty Niners radio network? So, as I said earlier, brock
(02:31:18):
Purty he owns Tom Brady, by the way. Right now,
the Buccaneers are on their own forty one yard line
trying to keep up with the high powered brock Purty
forty Niners offense. I will say this again, all joking
aside about Mr Irrelevant, what if the forty Niners going
unbelievable run not only getting into the postseason, but like
(02:31:39):
brock Purty does, what Tom Brady did back in two
thousand one when he took over for an injured Drew
Bledsoe and led his team to a Super Bowl. Where
do you go with Trey Lance? You gave up everything
for him. Well, let's be fair to Brock and um
also to Tom Brady for that matter, and say, what
if it's more like what Nick Foles did for the
(02:32:00):
Philadelphia Eagles, and then what happens to Carson Wentz, Because
that's an even more similar situation where Carson was hurt
and his replacement played well well enough for them to
win a Super Bowl. And by the way, Tom Brady
was on the other side of that Super Bowl the
Philadelphia So in retrospect, did the Eagles make the right
decision to put Wentz back in at quarterback because it
(02:32:22):
looked like he and Doug Peterson were never on the
same page. I would say this, Um, you you look
at where the Eagles the franchise is now, and you say, yeah,
of course they made the right decision because it built
towards their future success. But but at the time, I
agree with you, it didn't really feel like it was
working with Carson Wentz and the locker room turned on him.
(02:32:45):
And that was the word out of Indianapolis. Colts wasn't
a great locker room guy. I don't know how it
went in Washington before the injury, but the fact that
Taylor Heineke is still starting and Carson Wentz is a
healthy scratch kind of tells you all you need to
know about Carson Wentz. So yeah, in the long run,
it was the right decision for the Philadelphia Eagles, but
(02:33:07):
in the short run it didn't. It didn't feel right.
So if Purty does well outside of, for example, bringing
in a free agent Tom Brady, if you want to
get better at quarterback immediately, well maybe you start rocking
and rolling with Brock. I don't know. Panthers have an
early three nothing laid on the road against the Seahawks.
Sam Donald is the quarterback of the Panthers. Sam Donald.
(02:33:29):
When you think about Sam Donald coming out of US,
see the argument should he be the number one overall pick?
Sure to be Baker Mayfield? Sam Donald? What happened? I mean,
is it that he never recovered from his Jets experience
or how how did this guy that? I mean? When
he beat Europenn State team in that Rose Bowl, the
(02:33:50):
whole world was talking Sam Darald. In fact, the following year,
Lamar Jackson is coming off his Heisman Trophy winning season.
A p puts out a prese is an All American team.
They had Donald first team, Lamark Jackson's second team. That's
where Sam Darna was sitting. At that point. Sam Donald
felt like one of those quarterbacks who even if you
(02:34:11):
missed on him, it wasn't gonna be a bad miss.
It was gonna be like, Okay, well, maybe he'll end
up being like a Kirk Cousins or a Jimmy g Um.
It goes to prove the point that fit is everything
when it comes to quarterbacks in this league. You put
a quarterback in a tough situation, it's gonna be tough
on that quarterback. And so I think there have been
(02:34:32):
plenty of examples of talented quarterbacks who were in bad fit,
bad situations, especially on bad teams, getting drafted high in
the draft. Um that really struggled. And Sam Donald's an example.
Is he talented? Yeah? Sure? Is he ruined? Like like,
can he put together a career now at the NFL level?
Maybe not that answer. We may not even get the
(02:34:55):
answer that question, because he may not even get the
opportunity to answer that question. He maybe all out of opportunities. Well,
depending on where the Panthers land in the draft and
a guy like c. J. Strouds on the board, my
guess is that's the direction they're gonna go. All right,
we're gonna come down the stretch. We still have plenty
of games going on. Three right now, game tonight, gave tomorrow.
(02:35:18):
Keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
This is Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the
place that you may have missed the snap, the fake
to form. But Donald rolling to his wife, throws touchdown.
Shy Smith. Now back live to the studios of Fox
(02:35:44):
Sports Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio. All right,
that's seven the Fox Panthers radio network. Well are you
talking about Sam Darnald? What does he doing? He throws
a touchdown past four or five twenty seven yards and
the Panthers within shocking, boy, the Seahawks can feel afford
(02:36:04):
to lose this game. Panthers up ten nothing on the
road against Seattle, four forty three to go in the
first quarter. Once again, this Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.
We are alive from the ti iraq dot Com studios.
I want to thank the crew today. He is the
president of the Brock Purty Fan Club. We try to
get him to say something negative about Iowa State disastrous
season last year. He put zero blame on brock Purty.
(02:36:26):
That's how she is committed to I'm just saying, yeah,
thank you. I would just say that Brock Purtty never
beat Iowa in his career, so okay, So he wasn't
that good and that's why he was. He said all
the records at Iowa State, essentially, what does that mean?
And you want a fiestable We forget this. You want
a fiestable in the COVID yere So okay again, when
you say you broke all the passing records at Iowa,
(02:36:47):
that means guys like Sage Rosenfels and Seneca Wallace also
played at Iva State and very very good. Well he's
looking good right now. As I said, he owns Tom
Brady forty Niners, lead the Bucks seven nothing Mons Bolanos.
Of course, she is a match. Wow. She, despite the
fact that she goes through that roller coaster ride with
her multiple fantasy football teams, stays focused on the score
(02:37:12):
barely barely not easy. Yeah, because I threw so many
pens in here. It's a good thing. I have a
sound proof from Are you gonna split today with your teams? Yeah,
I haven't looked. I haven't looked because not only did
Sae Kwon do nothing, Mark Andrews, I don't even know
if he was present. I just made wrong decisions all
around you guys. But I think my favorite thing is
(02:37:32):
when Iowa plays the moncy yeah sound and then Steve
responds to it. Because I've said this multiple times, I
don't know what's her and what's the I mean, I
don't know. She has even said I don't know. Yeah,
I don't know. If it's here, it's the recording there,
it is, that's the recording things um. And of course Ryan,
(02:37:55):
our producer. By the way, he has a nickname in
this building, it's pure Junior. Now, if you're not familiar
with Ciris, Junior Harris is the genius engineer of this
entire building here and has been for centuries. And but
Curis was not available today to attend to a very
(02:38:15):
serious matter in terms of one of our much needed
televisions on a day when we're trying to describe the
action of so many NFL games, How did that go today? Ryan?
I know you and Sam were working on this, but
it was all him. Man was all Ryan, Yeah, Ryan,
you had no fear. I walk in the building and
I hear his voice in a room I've never heard
him from before. He's holding something in his hands. I
(02:38:38):
am literally the least mechanical person on this planet, So bravo.
Do you right? But figured it out? Thank you. I
I went deep into the minds with the little little
helmet flashlight thing, and uh, I came out and I
think I've got the black luk. Wow. So I've probably
been in the minds one day. Ryan. Yeah, Kariss would
(02:38:58):
be proud, he really would be. Has helped us a
little too. And yes, Rris is always in the in
the background. You know that. By the way, we just
were watching the Chiefs are up thirteen. Not there on
the hapless Broncos. Patrick Mahomes has a hundred seventy nine
yards passing already, but it was a play that he
threw a touchdown past to Jared McKinnon. Can we hear
that the homes being pressured moves to his right there
(02:39:20):
coming from behind him now flings it, slings it to
McKinnon at the farty to the thirty to to the
ten to the five touchdown. Batman loves this stadium. It
was an underhanded shovel at the right boundary for a
fifty six yard touchdown. They were all over him and
(02:39:40):
he just slings it under his hip to McKinnon for
a fifty six yard touchdown. All right, so one oh
six five the Wolf the Cheese Radio Network. So to
try to describe this play, Mahomes has got the ball
tucked under his arm, so he's running towards the sidelines,
looks like he's just gonna run out of bounds, and
without really looking, he just flips the ball over the
(02:40:03):
defenders right into McKinnon's hands. There's nobody there for the Broncos,
and he runs to the end zone for a touchdown.
Look at I I have been one of those at
times harping on what little negative there has been in
the career of Mahomes, you know, and then I even question,
you know, whether or not the loss of Tyreek Hill
is going to have some adverse effect outside of the
(02:40:26):
fact that the Bengals seem to have the Chiefs number.
Uh Mahomes is insane and that play was only one
quarterback makes that play. Yeah, it doesn't seem like a
play like that can possibly go the distance also for
a score, but broken plays often due. He just has
a feel for the field that is unlike any other
(02:40:50):
player we've ever witnessed. He just has that level of feel. Uh.
Talk about quarterback mismatch Right now, the Chiefs have a
hundred seventy nine yards passing Russell Wilson and the Broncos
have eight. Wow, that is why the Broncos are where
they are. Hey, don't go anywhere much more coming up
right here on Fox Sports Radio, wh
