hard part. If you punt the ball you might not
get that return. But I think considering that the circumstances,

Josh Jobbs played pretty well and the Times were very
injured this season as well, So it's kind of just
goes to show you quarterback play injury luck a little bit.
But yeah, the the you know, the quarterback play, It's
just it's not good for Tennessee right now. And I'm
not sure Josh jobs is the answer either or Moliku Willis.
And I don't know what the Times are gonna do.

But Jacksonville, man, there I don't know how feisty they
are for playoff consideration. I mean, you look at they're
probably playing the Chargers. The Chargers are would imagine that
games opens up when it picked crack Probably Chargers Jacksonville
in Jacksonville, you think, I think the Charges probably have
a slight edge. I'll be looking forward to bet against Jacksonville.
But then again, it's fresh in my head from last

be the first game on Saturday, right, Yeah, Jacksonville Jacksonville
Los Angeles will be the first game on Saturday. So look,
Jacksonville is in. It's it's good for them, and I
would only really have what two spots left we have

it's crazy if you look at the playoff teams from

last season, so four of the fourteen have been eliminated.
So think about this. The Titans, they were the one
seed last year, they've been eliminated. Raiders aren't gonna make it.
Rams and Arizona they're both eliminated. Now we take it
a step further, the Patriots or the Steelers, like one
of those teams might make it in one certainly isn't

going to get in. So you're up to five. Maybe
they don't make it. You're up to six and green Bay.
Green Bay has got a shot winning in. But you
have potentially seven teams that made the playoffs last season
that will not make the playoffs this season, including both
number one seeds. How crazy is that? This is why
the NFL is the favorite sport of the country, right

because each year it's a different year. Even week to week,
it feels almost like a different week. And if you
are a fan base, if you're Jacksonville, you had Urban
Meyer's your coach last season. Now you're in the playoffs, right, Like,
there's so much hope in the NFL that things can change.
The Rams were in the super Bowl, they won the
Super Bowl last season, they're out of the playoffs now
you can. You can have these changes so quickly from

positive to negative. And the positive is what keeps fans
coming back. Right If you are a fan of any
of teams making the playoffs right now, you think, Okay,
we got in, we have a chance. The Giants, right
the Giants improved their coaching staff. They're gonna go to Minnesota.

would the opening line be, they would be um Giants
getting two and a half points in Minnesota, less than

we talked about even last night. So the Giants, and
if you're a Giants fan right now, you think to yourself,

of the constant change in playoff teams is a big
reason why we love the sport. You know, I read

know he back tested us and lifted if you see

a line minus two and a half, historically in the playoffs,
taking the two and a half points has been profitable
since there's been sports betting in the playoffs. I was like, wow,

do this, and they do two divisional opponents, right those

and they were up in that game by like three touchdowns.

I think that you know, look, it keeps you a
kind of fresh throughout the season where I would imagine
when that play was put in, the laughter from the
offensive lineman practicing that play, right, you need that there
on a season, And people say, well, don't waste those
plays for these games. No, absolutely not no, you run
these in these games because a if it screws up, okay, whatever, whatever,
you're gonna beat the Raiders. But two, now, now every

playoff opponent has to watch that and think themselves, Okay,
what can they do next? And they have to spend
time on that and spend a little bit less time
on everything else. And that's the purpose of a lot
of these Kirk plays. Now, look, the Chiefs backed into
the one seed, right, I'm sure that you know they're
very happy they got it. But obviously the circumstances around
that they got quote unquote lucky, right they did. It

just worked out that way. But I've always contended the
one seed means so much this year, not for the bye,
that the by is important, but that in the a
f C it's very top heavy, right, it's it's Kansas City, Buffalo, Cincinnati,
and gave the one seed ensures that you only have
to play one of those teams, not two of them.
So if you're the Bills and Bengals, and then we'll
see today if they go two or three in the

in the standings. You have to now play each other
first and then go play Kansas City at home or yes,
it's neutral site. Now, well it depends on who they're playing.
If they're playing the Bills, it's neutral. SI they're playing
the Bengals. I believe it's an arrowhead. So if you
know you have to now play that, she's only has
to be one beat you once. Now the Chiefs might
have to play the Chargers, who are always a tough

out for the Chiefs. It's not gonna be easy for them.
But the fact is you you missed the chief sawst
three games this year, the weird Colts game in like
Week three if you would call that game, and and
the Bengals and Bills like they're the teams they lost you.
So now you avoid one of them as the one seed.
That's why to me it felt so important whether it
was Buffalo had the one seed, which I think they
would have. Who knows what happened on Monday, but they
would add inside track obviously for that. But the Chiefs

are now in the one seed. Um and you have Bengals,
uh you know in Bills fighting out for two and
three today. Yeah, it's a big advantage and we'll get
to it coming up. The Uh, the way the NFL
is doing it, there's a team that's very ang about it.
Should I think rightfully so. But it's wild how the
end of the season is shaping up in the seating
that's taken place. Like Jeff just said, with the win

yesterday and with the game between the Bills and Bengals
last week being canceled, the Chiefs are the one seed.
That's a big advantage. I got a little surprised for
you guys. Didn't tell you yet. I got a lot

with Twomar Hamlin to Bill Safety getting hurt, nearly dying
and as a result, the game last Monday night being canceled.
They are not mad about that, they understand it. What
they are mad about is that the NFL is changing
its rules on the fly. Where it was about winning percentage,

that was the tiebreaker, and now the NFL has come
back and said, well, if the Ravens beat the Bengals
today and that's the playoff matchup next week, will flip
a coin to determine home field advantage. And the Bengals
are not feeling that, And I feel them that they
aren't feeling that, because that's garbage. Not only that is

they will go down in the record books. Is having
one the a f C North. They have won the
f C North and the game today against the Ravens
is basically for seating right, because they'll end up with
the same record. If the Ravens with with Anthony Brown
and you beat the Bengals, the Bengal is gonna win
this game today. So it's going to solve a lot
of the problems with the way this has gone down.

But understand the anger for the Bengals because you have
done everything right right like he wasn't Obviously, Again, it's
hard to separate the football from the Damar Hamlin injury
and Elviously he's doing much better now, he's out the ventilator.

So I think it's a big distinction here between that right,

so we can talk about those. So football wise, I understand,
they did everything they're supposed to do right. They hoped
they were at home. They're beating the Bills. They look

as it should have been. Then it gets no contested,
which I think was the right decision by the NFL,
and the Bengals are like, well, we didn't do anything

to be in this spot, and now you have basically
said we have to coin flip if we lose to
the Ravens even though AFC North champions and we're not
gonna have a home playoff game, which to your point,
the NFL rules state that win percentage is determining factor
if a game is canceled, so that should be the Bengals, right,
and then you end up you end up. Um. Also

in the division around, now you would go to Buffalo
based on tiebreakers, not have that game at home. If
you've beating the Bills on Monday night, you would have
that game at home. Um. They also are upset if
you're gonna make the SC championship game be a coin toss,
why are the Bills and the Bengals on a coin
toss determine who hosts that game in the division round?
Because again we're we're our records are tied. But that

game was a no contest and I understand their frustration
about They're open about it, which they should be. Um,
the NFL appeared to change the rules on the fly.
I will say this though, the NFL. It's not out
to screw the Bengals. They do not care about quote
screwing the Bengals. I don't know why they went this direction,

but it wasn't with the thought of let's let's make
the Bengals, you know, let's help the Chiefs. They're not.
They just they made a decision. It was voted on,
it passed. But I understand their frustration. I get it. Now.
If you win today, a lot of that is solved.
You win today, you're the three seed. If Buffalo loses
your care the two seed, and all of that is solved.
You were you had an outside chance to have the

ones anyways, with Kencity winning out, you weren't getting that.
So you can't be upset about that. But I understand
the frustration. For everything else. It's a tough it's a
tough blow for them. Um again, setting aside the handling injury, right,
that has to be very clear here. They're not upset
about that that that happened. They're glad he's fine, but
everything else since then feels like it's gone against them.
Let's get into the betting angle here. Well, that's all

margin that literally the industry is, there's not there's not

betting teams that are against the must win scenarios, the
must win scenarios for the last decade. Plus is sixty.
Just blindly playing against the must the must win teams

I didn't bet Baltimore here, but if I can get
a plus ten minus one ten, not a bad bet here. Again,
you may even want to take the lot. Today's a

if you're looking at the way during this game, crack
the under for the team total for the Ravens, that
feels a great way to go, especially if at the

been surprised the way the money has come there. But

we could have one, I'd like to see the Patriots
when the guy and that would be my first choice
because both of those games that in these early slight
they're the two largest. Uh handle right now? How do
you handle a live wagering on a daylight today right

where we could see a multid of games where players
are pulled in the second half of games, you know,
even at the start of a game where charges Broncos,
things can change fairly quickly at the Ravens lose. How

the Bears, you say we're not playing Justin Fields this week, right,
that's how you do right, yep. Um. If you are

the Colts, you're playing Sam Elinger. Right. If you're whoever else,
you're okay. But you can't tell the players during the
game's not play hard. I hear you. So you have
the Texans playing as hard as they can get, the

beat the Lions. The Packers are in no questions, asked
the Lions. They need the Seahawks to lose to have
a chance. So let's just start with the Sunday night game.
We're in agreement, I believe. Where if Seattle wins, and look,
it sounds more complicated than actually is, Detroit needs Seattle
to lose. If that doesn't happen, Seattle is dead. But

they're in. Yeah, Packers lose and Seattle wins, Seattle's in right,
Seattle and Green Bay los, Detroit wins, They're in right, right,
So however you slice it, it comes back to the
same thing. If the Lions don't have a chance to
make the playoffs, when Sunday Night Football rolls around. They
are not just saying one to three cancoon and screw it,

like that's just not how they're built. I don't know
if they're good enough to win the game tonight. They'll
find but but they're definitely not going to say, ah,

I hope we're in a scenario tonight when this game

no matter what. It's one of the few sides that
I'm actually betting this year that I actually um and

Detroit is gonna be They want to play the role
spoiler if they if they're out of it, and of
course they want to try to win if they can

line keeps going up and up and up, and it
may even go up more here. But then again, big

big money just came in on the Rams in the
last half hour forty five minutes, knocked the game down
to five and a half and five. This game was seven,
by the way, forty eight hours ago, or you know
they maybe seventy two hours ago. But this game is
down the five five and a half. A lot of
the wise guys like the Rams here, a lot of
the sharps like the Rams here to play that role.
But going back to the tonight's game Detroit, I think

is a is a good bet no matter what tonight
you mentioned this earlier crack, it's it's worth repeating, guys,
when um, when a team who was eliminated such as
the Rams could be goods. The Rams are good Seattle
and the other team is playing for a playoff Berth,
the team that is out of it is covering game
since the early you go back to last year. The

famous example is Jacksonville had nothing to play for, Colts
had to win to get in, and the Colts got rolled.
So so just be just again, there's you know, different
ways to approaches. Obviously, you know, if the Giants aren't
playing anybody that I you know, Giants plus fourteen or
six team whatever, it's at an out crack. Probably not
the best wager. But you look at the Rams, and
I was on the Rams earlier this week at you

know at the plus six and a half or the
Lions um for the night game. Like the Lions, guys,
they're going to play hard. It's it's a Dan Campbell
coach team. They're gonna play hard, They're gonna run the football,
They're going to control the line of scrimmage as best
as possible. Now the Lions defense, who knows, Jared Goff
on the road at night outside, who knows. But you

just know that they're going to give their best effort
whether they're in the playoffs or not. Jeff, you were
in those locker rooms, sure, I mean in that situation
over the years that you have the situation where you
guys got a chance of spoiler was there? Well, actually,
if any game I played in when we were two
eight we were the two seed two thousand nine, we
actually played the Saints in Week sixteen. They were already

qualified for the that's either on the Super Bowl. They
were the one seed. A way, they didn't play anybody
the next year. No, we played the facts team doesn't
go anywhere. UM Minnesota. We we know because we played
Green Bay in weeks seventeen and then we played him
again six days later in the playoffs. That was a
weird year. Um where that happened? Kansas City? No, and
the Giants know so I never played that game. But again,

like going back to the tanking discussion, right, is the
when when you go on the field as a player,
you were playing your hardest because the film was always
out there and you can never say to anyone, to

he knew it wasn't gonna be an important game. He's

go into a game saying like, let's be the spoiler
per se. But I do think that each week you
need to motivate yourself in a different way. And if

we're out of this. Now, let's go beat them because pride, right,

But you're not preparing them that week that way. So

The Packers are again, guys, they might make the playoffs,
but they have eight wins. Let's not pretend that they
are team. That was the crazy thing with Aaron Rodgers
last week. So they win the game, they throttle Minnesota,
they win their fourth game in a row, and Rodgers

was basically like, hey, remember those naysayers when we were
four and eight, What are they gonna say now? It's like, bro,
you're eight and eight, might be a seventh seed, you
might be a seventh seed in the NC. Might squeak in,
maybe you go play the Niners and get demolished in
wild card weekend. Um, yeah, no, you're exactly right, Like
it's it's uh, they're where they're at because if they

play better as a team and it hasn't all been
Rogers right, the run game, Aaron Jones, it's weird when
you get him the ball more. How much better the
Packers are? What a surprise. Defense has done a good
job of force and turnovers and playing the turnover game.
But this Lions team, man like that. They are so
close to the playoffs. They made that big jump this season.
They're just playing good overall team football. Defensively again, a
little a little shaky, but they're not giving up tonight. Crack.

gonna start for the Ravens. And I mean, look, you

you cover them if you like, if you play, if
you play this game, what you said, it's what ten
and a half solid? Like, I mean, think about crack
to ten covers this game? Like I think that's you
just have to think about the the kind of the
numbers of where this game might fall. As far as

take the Bengals here, but I think there's a legit
reason to believe they win this game like they just
and that I think the way to go for a
lot of these games this week, it's alive bet the
unders at some point or second half unders. But I
think this is a game where the Bengals come out,
take a big lead and then just sort of kind
of cruise on into the finish line. Well, that's the

scary thing, is cruising into the finish line that could
come back to bite you. That's right, but if you're up,
But but if you're up by one, that the cruise
in is a little bit different than you're up by fourteen.
And I think the Bengals will be up again. This
is why I wouldn't take this game now again this weekend,

there's a ton of live waging opportunities. You have to
pay attention to watch the games to see what's happening.
But that feels like a spot where the Bengals just
get up to a giant lead and they're gonna play
the rain. Butits agetting that week most likely. If the
Ravens lose this game, they're the sixth seed and charges
of the fifth seed, So at some point the Bengals
went pull back something too Guys, I still get friends
no matter how much I tell them and try to
help them. They say to me, Bill, this looks like

in anywhere my arsenal of words in life, but lock.
