that at Plexico Burgs at Fox Sports Radio. You can
listen live on iHeartRadio app by searching FSR or Fox
Sports Radio. As we get into the second hour, we
have legendary moment with Brian Dawkins. Man, what is going

(01:45):
on with Lamar Jackson. We just got news it's official
now Derek Carr has signed the contract. Even though we've
been told he was going to the New Orleans Saints,
He's officially a Saint. He's just signed a contract. And
that one team that plays down the road off the
one ten Freeway downtown la Um, those Los Angeles Lakers.

(02:11):
You know, we kind of turning the corner, so I
knew he was gonna lad O coming. I remember, if
it's coming, I'm like, I'm like, yeah, one ten Freeway.
We'll get it. We get into those guys a little
later on, but let's get straight into this man. Legendary
moment with Brian Dawkins. Game Game presents conversations with a

(02:39):
legend and now this is your legendary moment. I love
that your story has always been pure, raw and uncut
like it's so funny because I think back to Takio
talking about the moment he's you know, he hit the
gall to side. I can't walk, Thank you Jesus to

(03:02):
kids in. I want some of that whatever he got that,
I want some of that. You talked about the balance
of the passion that you play with, the compassion that's
in your heart, and how that plays into your spiritual
faith and belief system. How do you balance that? How
did you balance that? Because control rage in some cases

(03:26):
controlled aggression, however we want to label it. Because I
was one of those controlled aggression guys. I was. I
was one of those guys that you know what I mean.
I let my emotions, you know, and that passion drive
what I did. How you control it? So how do
you find the balance. So, so here's the thing. First,
recognizing that that aggression, that all that stuff that you

(03:48):
talked about is a gift. It's a gift. And spending
time in with the Lord in the morning and throughout
the day, just meditating on his word is extremely important.
And I've done that and I continue to do that.
So what that does is that that helps me utilize
that energy in a positive way. I can use that
same energy in a bad way. I can go into
fits of rage. I can throw something across the room.

(04:10):
I can do something that I did that forced my
wife and my defensive coordinate the Emmett Thomas at the
time to help me get help. It's rockety. I can
run my head through a wall, which I did, right,
So I can use it that way, but I can
also use it in a positive way. And so but
it's really the fact that I recognize that I'm not
my emotions. I have emotions, I'm not them. My emotions

(04:35):
are not always correct. They may be telling me something,
but it's information. How I perceive it and how I
use it is up to me. And because I can
then go into that peaceful place of prayer in just
a moment's time, the Holy Spirit will help me then
make better decisions with that energy than I would if
I just stayed in that angry place. Just so, in

(04:55):
that place, I'm gonna fight. We're gonna fight, We're gonna
do something that's gonna be destructive, and it's gonna be
done done to somebody I might even love and I
would have to say, I'm sorry for the thing that
I did. I had to say, it's best to be
a warrior that's in the garden rather than a gardener
that's in the war. Man. Brian Dawker is one of
the best safeties, most passionate players about that. Dude was

(05:18):
so passionate about the game. Man. And let me let
me tell you something, man, Brian Dawkins. First of all,
MAT just want to say thank you because he made
me a better football player because, you know, playing in
this NFC East, it was a bit of robbery between
the Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles, and I had some

(05:40):
of the best football games that I ever could have
possibly played in my life against the Philadelphia Eagles for
one reason, because if you step on that football field
playing against Brian Dawkins any if you didn't bring your
a game. Every time the ball was snapped, it was

(06:00):
a possibility that he might knock your helmet off. And
the people that a's listening, he literally we can get
our helm and knocked off and it was just pick
it back, pick it up, put it on the next place. Nothing.
He made me a better player in the aspect of
competing and to really hone in on his style of

(06:21):
played and to watch film because he wouldn't he was
unorthodox in his coverage what the coverage would be played,
because he just wronged and did his own thing. I
had to study this man night in and night out
to just to get a beat on what he was
going to do, because he was so unpredictable. With the

(06:41):
defense that they were running. You would think his you know,
single high, and they'd be in quarters and he'd be
all over the field running around. And he competed with
this unrelent unrelent, relentless passion of playing the football game
that you had to be at your best every time
you played against them and lined up with him being

(07:03):
I have so much respect for him, and I was
kind of upset when the Philadelphia Eagles traded Brian Dogs
because I'm saying to myself, you know what, that man
is a life for that man is the epitome of
what Eagles defense is all about. And it's unfortunate that
the business side got in involved with it for him
and he went to Denver, but there was no way

(07:24):
that he was supposed to leave that Philadelphia. He was
supposed to finish with the Eagles. Man, and you're talking
about one of the purest, finest free safeties or strong
safeties to ever play the game. It is Brian Dalky.
B Dark was one of the best football players that
we played against. That passion that that's one thing you

(07:45):
don't forget, man. Derek Carlo I said, it's made an
official sign on the dotted line with the Saints. What
does this mean for the Saints? And in that division
it seems to be wide open? Is he that missing
ingredient to say, Okay, now the Saints can get back
to where they were with Drew Brees, win the division
and get this thing back rolling. What does it mean

(08:08):
for the Saints? Yeah, I don't really I don't really
know what it means. Because Robert Solard just compared Derek
called the Matthew staffers. So I don't know what's going
on there on there? What are they going to do
with Jamis Winston's I would have won is as good
as gone. I mean, I mean, Jamis, what's it? Can't
catch your break? Well, we're going forward for the Saints. Um.

(08:30):
I believe Derek caused a good option. Um. I don't
think that any other team really offered him, would offer
him the kind of money that the New Orleans Saints
would have um to be the quarterback of the team.
And for the Saints, they just that they have fallen
apart completely since Drew Brees has retired hun And it

(08:54):
is so hard and so tough to replace a legend
and franchise quarterback in that you have for you know,
eighteen nineteen twenty years. You just get used to excellence.
And it's a tribute to Drew Brees and what he
has been able to accomplish throughout his career and how
great he was. And that's the one of the things

(09:15):
that we don't we don't give these these young men
they flowers may deserve it. Drew Brees is one of
the best pure pastors that we have ever seen. And man,
and you get so used to to the excellence and
greatness that it is expected to continue on forever, and

(09:36):
it doesn't. And we've seen this happening over countless situations.
Dan Marino when he retired, John Elway retired in Denver,
Jim Kelly retired, and and and Buffalo Bills. It just
just doesn't happen that, you know, in a lifetime, and
it's very rare. You go from Peyton Man and Andrew

(09:58):
Luck very rare. Right, You're supposed to have forty years
of franchise back and that didn't happen because Angela retired.
But moving forward for the Saints, I mean, it's the
best that they can do from a quarterback standpoint, getting
begetting better on offense because Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston
isn't the answer. Yeah, and I I agree with you.

(10:19):
I believe Derek Carr was the Jets fallback option hadn't
they not been able to trade for Aaron Rodgers, which
we believe it is going to be finalizes here soon.
And again Jamie Swinston, he got hurt when he was playing.
It was just it just wasn't enough for the Saints.
Like you, I mean think Andy Dawton didn't play well

(10:39):
at all and and essence benched them with a chance
to still make the playoffs last season the last quarter
of the season, they just, you know, we're just gonna
roll with Andy Dawton even though he wasn't playing that
great of football. And so I believe Derek Carton when
when you look at his situation starting in Oakland and

(11:00):
then going to Las Vegas with the Raiders. He never
had a defense finish hired in twenty first or I'm sorry,
Lord in twenty first, So he was always dealing with
a defense that that couldn't really stop people, and so
he had to do so much. The Saints play defense,
the Saints, and they really thought they were going to

(11:20):
play some defense because LeVar had the New Orleans Saints
winning the division and LeVar had the Packers going to
the super Bowl even they didn't know what the playoffs
look like this year. So about him bad but because
then here, but we're gonna let him, let him know
for sure. Hey, yeah, LeVar, I think LeVar, you know,

(11:40):
he does this so much man, two pros and a
cup of Joe during the week. I think he's just
beat by time he get what us. He's just like,
I must just say whatever. I don't know what's going on.
Turn aweek leavark. But Derek carry He whether he's an
answer or not, he is an upgrade. And that's what
the Saints need to give him to give them an opportunity.

(12:03):
They need an opportunity to compete um that division come come,
no grabs. Just the NFC period. If you said, if
I ask you a question right now, he's yes, he is, yes,
he is he Nazi to contending the NFC to win

(12:23):
the division or okay, okay, let me just let me
let me recall the twenty twenty one season. Let's let's
recall this. You have a teammate tragically and that had
that car accident kill a young lady. Uh. Your coach
gets fired, a teammate brandishes a firearm on social media,

(12:44):
he gets released, You get an interim head coach, You
take him to the playoffs and literally the last drive
away from winning the game. How many guys can do that?
Like Derek Carr has shown me in the face of
adversity in a blizzard in North Dakota, he not gonna

(13:05):
turn his back. He gonna walk face first into this
storm and he ain't gonna blink. And that's what he
did that season. He showed. He showed us he can
do it. He showed us. So why the question is
everybody wants to know is why did the Lost Vegas
Raiders let Derek. It's something, It's something they didn't mash

(13:27):
him and Josh McDaniels, and it's something about that relationship.
It just wasn't a match. It wasn't a match. They
didn't go together. I don't know what McDaniels wanted, that
car wasn't given and vice versa, but that relationship just
did not mash like I think they thought. But Derek

(13:47):
Carr has shown me that if you don't blink it
in Rogers as the Raiders, what is what is your
quarterback option? I truly believe the Raiders are they want
to draft CJ. Strout. That's what I believe. That's what
I believe they're gonna draft him. Now. I don't believe
they reach. I don't believe they draft a project as

(14:10):
they saying Anthony Richardson is or Will Levis um. And
that's why I believe the Panthers draft Bright Shun one.
The Raiders have to figure out what are they gonna do?
Because if I'm CJ. Stroud or Bryshung, I don't know
if I want to go to the Texas with the
number two pick, then they've had so many head coaches

(14:32):
in the last hire a handful of years. I don't
want to play for the Houston Texans. I don't want
I don't want my career to be tied to a
front office that cannot settle on the head coach. Yeah,
they hired Demiko run. Yeah, they gave him this long
term deal. He's being set up to fail, it seems

(14:53):
as if and so I don't want to go to
the Houston Texas if I wanted these rickey quarterbacks coming
into draft and they have the number two pick, it
looks like that's what's going to happen. Uh, that's unfortunate
for them. If the Texans can't figure out how to
have some jake, you need to. But if you if
you're the Houston Texans right now, you have to take

(15:15):
one or the two. Oh, they're for sure. And that's
why I don't think they cared about moving up the
number one, because they probably satisfied with both. But if
I'm that player, do I want to be too? Like, please,
don't let me be too That's how I'm feeling. That's
how I'm feeling. I don't want to play for the
Houston Texans if I'm one of these young guys coming

(15:37):
out and that's what it looks like. It's gonna go rookie.
You rookie quarterback going into a situation with a rookie
first year head coaching Damiko Ryans, who I think is
absolutely phenomenal. And who the best receiver? Who they best receiver? Man,
I don't even know who the receivers off of the Houstons,
Brandon Cooks and Robert Woods. They just signed Robert Woods yesterday,
so they'll be their top two. Like Robert Woods, he's

(15:58):
coming off of Aco. I think he's a He's a
good option. But just from a quarterback and standpoint with
the Houston Texas is what they've been being able to
do offensively over the past four or five years. Man,
it just hasn't been good. And it is a It
is an uphill climb for either a young man c J.
Stroud or Brush Jump to go to that organization and

(16:21):
to have success on wis some football games, it's gonna
be this is hey, this is this is a point
that not many will know or makes. If Bryshung is
the first pick and we'll go to break after this. CJ.
Stroud has the same agent that the Shan Watson has.
That's gonna get it. And if the Houston Texas go
down there, that will get interesting. So let's see how
this how this plays out, Man Up on Game, Fox

(16:48):
Sports Radio once again, Plexico Birds, I'm t Jans out
of LaVar. Hope you are enjoying. Hey, let me ask
you this real quick before we go to break. Y'all
bring me up this much when I'm not here, because
I bring LaVar up a ton man, you'd be having
so many technical issues with your phone. No, last week,
the last week I was at, I was at the

(17:10):
combine last week. I brought my comrads, but I forgot
a power chord, so I was I was like, I
was out of luck. You always go up through something.
But I'm here now. We'll take break now. I'm sorry, guys,
Fox Sports Radio. Up on Game Man. We'll be right
back Lamar Jackson. As soon as we come back from
this break. We gotta talk about him. Man, Welcome back

(17:33):
to Up on Game. We're live from Tirek dot Com Studio.
I'm TJA with my dog Plexico Buris, and we gonna
get straight in. It is because I don't know how
long or how short um this topic will be for us.
Mister Lamar Jackson. They franchise him non exclusive thirty two million,

(17:57):
just under thirty three million. UM. We've just never seen
anything like this man. We're a franchise quarterback, MVP, unanimous
MVP winner, only two guys in the history league to
have done it, one of two guys, and he can't
get a long term contract. We don't know what's going on.

(18:18):
He doesn't have an agent. That Ravens aren't releasing any information.
Is the league colluding against Lamar Jackson? By what is
going on in yours? I mean, as soon as a
franchise you get all these teams, we're not interested, We're
not interting. We're not the Panthers, you're a terrible last year.
Why aren't you interested? The Falcons you're a terrible last year?

(18:41):
Or why aren't you interesting? Of the Coats you're a
terrible last year? Why aren't you intry? And I can
go on and on and on. I don't understand what's
going on with this Lamar Jackson situation. I'll go first
and say when when you look at the nature of

(19:04):
these contracts and what quarterbacks are getting. Kyler Murray total
contract value is two hundred and thirty million, five hundred thousand,
just five hundred grand more than Deshaun Watson total value,
but one hundred and eighty nine and a half million
and guarantees twenty two and twenty three as a starter,

(19:27):
twenty two and twenty three as a starter. When he
signed that contract, Kyler Murray Aaron Rodgers, he signed a
three year, one hundred and fifty million dollars guaranteed deal.
In essence, three year deal, one hundred and fifty million
dollars three year deal, DeShawn Watson obviously gets two hundred
and thirty million dollars guaranteed. So if I'm Lamar Jackson,

(19:50):
if I'm not getting a fully guaranteed contract, I'm for
sure getting two hundred million guaranteed. If Kyler Murray can
get one hundred in eighty nine and a half million
dollars guaranteed, what is going on? Do you believe the
league is colluding against Lamar Jackson? Man? There's a lot

(20:11):
of things going on, and let's just be honest. Man.
The Baltimore Ravens wants Lamar Jackson to be their quarterback,
but they're not going to give him two hundred million
dollars and guaranteed money for the obvious reasons because of
who he is, the way he looks, the way he talks,
the way he wears, his hair man's let's just be

(20:33):
honest about the whole situation. And you look at Daniel
Jones's contract, I wouldn't I wouldn't sign a contract until
Daniel Jones signed a contract if I'm Lamar Jackson. And
the Great J. J. Watt just put out a tweet
a few days ago he said, why are teams so
publicly saying no to Lamar Jackson, who's a former NFL

(20:58):
MVP of the league, and being so vocal and so
public about it. And I'm saying to myself, like, it's
the NFARE really trying to blackball this man for the
money that he deserves because he doesn't have an agent,
or is he blackballing himself because he doesn't have an agent.

(21:19):
Lamar Jackson deserves to be paid as as you see
fit because he's deserving of everything that he has earned
and what the Baltimore Ravens and they put this with
the non exclusive franchise tag on your player to basically say,

(21:40):
we want somebody come in and set the market for
this guy so we can look at see what he's
worth and then for us to make a decision to
see if we want to keep him or not. The
same thing that the Giants did was say Kwan Barkley
and I said this, lad, I said this two years
ago when Dak Prescott broke his leg. This the CBA

(22:03):
deal that these guys a son. If you're complaining about
contracts and guaranteed money and all of these things, then
the franchise tag should be eradicated from the game. From
the gass. One thing that I agree with that taken
out of the game because if you don't want to
pay nobody for what they worth you, you have the
option and the authority to basically hold a player of

(22:26):
hostage because you don't want to pay for what they'll
You know what I don't like though, how about the
TV partners say, Hey, the money that we paid uh
televise these games, We're not gonna give you a guarantee
three billion. We're gonna give you x amount depending on
what happens. What's your think? The owners will say they

(22:47):
mighty come in guaranteed. These owners mightey come in guaranteed,
but the players can't. What like I don't. It's a
slap in the face to Lamar Jackson with the Baltimore
raven have done to him by places placing this non
exclusive franchise tag and saying, listen, you don't want to

(23:07):
take the day that we're giving me you. We're not
going to give you the full franchise tag. We're going
to put you out in the market to see what
the team's value at and then we can sit back
as an organization and said what you can go. But
the Baltimore Ravens are not contender in any sense sense

(23:30):
of imagination to win the AFC North with Joe Burrow
in Cincinnati, they don't even have a football team. If
Lamar Jackson is not a part of the game, you
know what, and you know what, it's crazy about the Ravens.
And we both know the Ravens historically, when you look
at how they have treated players that they drafted, they

(23:51):
normally give their guys a second deal. And so that
this is where for me because I look at the
history of the Ravens as an organist zation, they normally
pay their guys. And so that's why I wish I
knew exactly what was offered because the Ravens, they don't
have a history of doing this. If I'm Lamar jack

(24:12):
I don't care what happens moving forward. The relationship will
never be the same. It will never be that both sides,
if they end up signing the deal, will say, oh yeah,
we got over that. The relationship with Lamar Jackson will
never look at them the same way. If I'm Lamar,
I'm not playing for thirty two million, I'm gonna sign
this tender and I'm gonna go to training camp and

(24:34):
I'm gonna go to all this stuff and my back
or my hamstring hurt, I'm not playing. I'm not playing,
but I'm not I'm not gonna lay beyond bell either
and lose the money. I'm not doing that either. I
believe Lamar Jackson will play this year and the biggest
most thing that he can do is to win football games.
If he goes out then plays well, then it's a

(24:56):
double list or for the Baltimore man. If I'm Lamar Jackson,
I'm running. As soon as you get close to me,
I'm sliding. I'm about to get sacked. I'm falling down.
All of these things that they have said in the
front office Hallball and the general manager DaCosta. Lamar Jackson

(25:16):
is a guy, then why the non exclusive franchise test Listen,
you can tell me I'm this. You can tell me
I'm not. In the world that we live in. As
professional athletes, I see better than I hear. You gotta
show me that I'm everything you telling me that I am.

(25:37):
You can say whatever you want to say, put it
in writing and show me by them dot of signs.
That's all it is. And when you're a professional athlete,
I see better than I hear. Don't tell me. You
gotta show me. And this is where the Baltimore Ravens
need to show them. But again, we don't know what

(25:58):
it's been offered. How much guaranteed money is he staying
firm Lamar Jackson on I want my contract to be
fully guaranteed. I don't I don't think. I don't think
he's searching for a fully guarantee We don't not believe
that he wants more than Russell Wilson, Colin Murray, those

(26:19):
two guys, mainly because he deserves more money than those
guys have signed for one percent he does. Now, this
is where the Ravens have to know. This that Lamar
is pissed off. They have to notice, and he's gonna
say all the right things. Ah, No, you know, it's

(26:41):
business is the price of doing business. But we take
a lot of things personal as players. We take a
lot of things personal, especially when it comes to contract
negotiations in your livelihood. And it's a little bit more
personal because he doesn't have representation, So all these negotiations
in the general ro manager and an owner, he's having

(27:03):
those conversations with him face to face. So now it's
a lot more personal if you're the player. This man
is something that I like hardball as a coach, I
believe the Ravens organization is top notch. But we also
got to recall when Deshaun Watson sign that fully guaranteed

(27:23):
contract with the Cleveland Browns, Bashotti, who is the owner
of the Baltimore Ravens, basically came out saying in essence,
and I'm paraphrasing, and I might be adding or missing
words like what are we doing here? What are we
doing here? Giving a god that has over twenty pending

(27:43):
cases of fully guaranteed, what are we doing? And so
he is not going to do what he was asking
what his fellow owner was doing. And so for Lamar Jackson, man,
I hope he gets his money. He's been hurt the
last two seasons. I firmly believe, and I was told this.
Had he had a contract, he would have played last

(28:05):
year down the back, down the stretch of the regular season,
and in that playoff game against Cincinnati Bengals, he would
have played. This is not gonna get easy because they
can foul him. I mean tag him again next season.
And so now he's with the Ravens for seven years
and has never received a type of contract that he deserves.

(28:28):
I don't know where this goes. But if I'm Lamar Jackson,
I'm hiring an agent. Now I need somebody in my corner.
And you do not have to give up percent. You
can negotiate a flat ray, you can kind of do
whatever you want to do. Whatever agent comes in and
gets this done, it helps him. And so if I'm

(28:49):
Lamar Jackson, man, I look to go in a different
direction with the way I'm doing things and try to
get somebody that's done this and done this at a
high level. I think this he's losing more money without
having representation for the percentage that he's going to pay
with the contract that he's going to get. So it's

(29:10):
evening out because he's losing more money. Now I think
at this point he just has to, you know, get
somebody that can represent him and go get him the
money that he deserves. And I understand the whole represent
you representing yourself. I know a few players that did it.
Andre Johnson, you know, but he was short for Hall

(29:34):
of Famer, one of the best way I receivers ever
played the game and the only player in the Ring
of Honor for that organization. But for Lamar Jackson, for
the money that he is looking at and the money
he deserves, he needs somebody to go in there and
get that money. Hey, the Ravens will say, oh, we
can deal with guys without an agent. We just signed
it deal with ro Kuan Smith. I digress. Hopefully this

(29:57):
man can get his money because he deserves it. We
gotta go to trending. In our Gallo Bellows, we begin
with some sad news today from the NFL. Legendary former
Minnesota Vikings head coach Bud Grant has passed away at
the age of ninety five. Grant coached the Vikings to
four Super Bowl appearances in the nineteen seventies and was

(30:20):
inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in nineteen
ninety four. He also won four Great Cup Championships as
a head coach in the Canadian Football League. And get this, guys,
during his playing days, he spent a couple of years
in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. But before that,
Bud Grant actually played for two seasons in the NBA

(30:41):
with the Lakers, who were then the Yes, he played
two seasons in the NBA for the Lakers, who, of
course back then were the Minneapolis Lakers. So truly an
extraordinary life. ESPN reports to Los Angeles Chargers restructured the
contracts of pass rushers Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, creating

(31:01):
twenty six million dollars of cap space. There the Chargers
had already restructured the contracts of receivers Keenan Allen and
Mike Williams, so they have gone from twenty million dollars
over the cap to nineteen million dollars under the cap. Meanwhile,
a short time ago, newly signed New Orleans Saints quarterback
Derek Carr held his introductory news conference. This really is

(31:22):
a dream come true moment for me. The warmth and
the love that I felt, you know, from the city
of New Orleans the whole organization, the whole city has
been unbelievable. In college basketball, Vermont advanced to the NCAA
Tournament by winning the America East Championship game today over
UMass Lowell seventy two to fifty nine, and right now
in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference Championship game, Norfolk State

(31:46):
as a twenty three to twenty one lead over Howard
with five minutes and twenty three seconds remaining in the
first halve fellas back to you, Billy State, Spartan's baby
Yo neck in Woods, Martin's baby Yo Neck of the Woods. Yeah,
my ball with the Norfolk State. Oh you didn't want

(32:08):
to go to US school where your mama win her
alma mater. No, she wouldn't let me. Oh she left me,
So I went to a different Spartans Green and White,
baby Sparta your hearn man. We lost yesterday. Ohiose State
in the Big ten, Big twelve, Big ten, turning me yesterday? Man,

(32:28):
did you watch the game? I watched part of it too.
I watched a good portion of it. Yeah, we just
didn't play real offensively. Hey, plex, you love your school, bro.
You literally wearing Michigan State shirts every time when you
love your school, man, Man, I do. Man, it's a
special place, man, it really is. Um. I couldn't have

(32:48):
force off myself to go anywhere else. Man. Once I was,
once I went on my visit, I made my mind
up right then. Man, it was just it just felt
like home. And it's still is. Man. I really love
my all, my model. Man, I really do well in
Michigan State. Hopefully you uh do some damage in March Madness,

(33:09):
an NCAA tournament filled to sixty four plus one plus two.
However they do it now up on Game Fox Sports Radio,
Practical Burds, I'm t J Huschmizada will be right back.
We're coming on the backstretch of the show. Yeah, we'll
be right back. DJ Moore and Justin Fields. How that's
gonna play out? And that team off the one ten

(33:30):
free way Tom Lakers disgust those when we got back. Oh,
here he go up on Game. That's what we're gonna do,
putting up one game, y'all. Hey, it's Ben, the host

game nine sixty telling Pendur Rebound. He's running into open
four seventy two fifty nine. Roll willed up foul from

(34:53):
Americans Champions again for the tenth time in twenty years
from r Dance Championship. Well there you're going Vermont. I
believe they'd be University of Massachusetts Law. They seem am
they don't want the championship ten out of the last

(35:14):
twenty years, so they fifty percent going to the Big Dance. UM.
Congratulations to that school in that program. We gotta be
real quick on this because I want to get both
of these in. Can DJ Moore elevate Justin Fields the
way A J. Brown did Jalen Hurts and Stefan Diggs
did with Josh Shallen. Can he be that piece for

(35:35):
Justin fields? Yeah, he can't be that piece for Justin Fields.
He's definitely upgraded the wide receiver position for the for
the Chicago Bears and Justin Fields. But asked him to
go in and do what A J. Brown has done
for the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts. I don't think
it's going to be on the same level because A J.
Brown does play along so de Smith, which they kind

(35:57):
of take a lot of pressure off each other, but
off instily. It is definitely an upgrade for the Chicago
Bears desperately needed a playmaker that can go out to
make play him. I believe you did more had three
thousand yard seasons in a row with the kill on
a panther. So he's gonna be a tremendous asset for
Justin fields progression getting bet as a quarterback. We are

(36:21):
on the same page. I also believe that again, can
you do what Digs and A. J. Brown have done,
respectively with their teams? I don't know. That's a lot
of that's gonna be dependent on the play calling and
Justin Fields improving. But if he can do that, yes,
So we're on the same page with that. Now let's

(36:42):
talk a little round ball. Does Los Angeles Lakers Lebron
James goes down, He's out three weeks, maybe the entire season.
I don't know. Man. We've won three in a row,
seven of our last ten. AD had I believe nine
point last night and we still went to work. DeAngelo

(37:04):
Russell was cooking shrewder Austin reis Hotchimira. I can go
on and on and on. We beat the Toronto Raptors,
the Lakers, the Lakers looking bro a game and a
half out of fifth place. A game and a half
out of fifth place. That is how bad the Western

(37:27):
Conference is when it comes to basketball. Who are you
just say it's a lot of parody. I mean everybody.
I think last week the Los Angeles Lakers were in
twelfth place, probably thirteenth. Everybody has thirty four thirty five losses,
So they can win three games in the row and

(37:48):
jump into the fifth spot. I mean hypothetic is this?
I mean, let's just be honest. And the Los Angeles
Lakers were usually talk basketball on our show when football
seas over, but we just haven't been talking basketball because
the Los Angeles Lakers. And you know what we would

(38:09):
have talked about is the Lakers aren't terrible. We are
turning the cornerway. Made no chance of what in the
Western Conference at all. That's not true. Man, if Lebron,
if if Lebron James is healthy, they have a chance.
They do if Lebron James can come back healthy the Lakers.
Who who want to see the Lakers in the series

(38:31):
with Lebron James and Anthony Davis healthy, with Russell Puns
the Golden State Warriors and we do spank Golden States.
Steph Curry just played without Lebron James and we spanked them. Man,
we're talking about the playoffs. No, no, no, no, we
just spanked them. They don't we match up well with

(38:52):
Golden State. We match up well with Golden State. Now
the Phoenix Suns, if Katie is healthy, that's another story.
And now I don't want to play the Phoenix Suns,
that's another story. You mean to tell me you think
you think y'all can beat the Denver Nuggets on the seven.
I don't know if we can beat the different Nuggets,
but I will her to play the Different Nuggets over
the Phoenix Suns. I'll tell you that I like my

(39:15):
chances with Denver Nuggets over the Phoenix Suns. All better
basketball team than than than than with a healthy Kevin Durant. Absolutely,
come on, man, absolutely, man. The Kola Joka is on
his way too possibly and he should not be the MVP.
He should be Joel Embid and they know it. I'm mad.

(39:37):
We ain't got no time left. You know that's how
much because that's how much time the liquors got the
Scott this guy here, and man, we appreciate y'all locking
in with us. Man up on Game Fox Sports Video
for the last that's Flexico first. We'll be back next
week and we're gonna start with basketball.
