Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh what's going on? Everybody?
Hope you're welcome. I hope you're having a fantastic Easter
Sunday over here. We got everything on the menu. We
got the Masters going on, we got hoops, we even
got ball. I know it's not football season, but it's
always football season in a way. We're broadcasting live from
the ti irac dot com studios. Ti irac dot com

(00:23):
will help get you there an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping,
free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers.
Tirac dot com the way tire buying should be. You know,
I want to start off on a positive note here, George,
But sometimes you can be a hater, you know, sometimes
you can be a hater. You're down on heavy metal,
and I'm just wondering. I'm wondering, are you down on

(00:44):
the Masters? I'm bracing for impact over here. Please tell
me that's not the case. I'm not down on the Masters.
I love you're down on it. You're yeah, I can
I can feel your vibe already. Man, You're totally down
on it. Really however, though, right, oh okay, here here,
here's what I'm in on I'm in on Brooks Kapta

(01:08):
losing the lead though that was uh, that was uh
he was running a rate with this thing, and now
uh he's got himself in a dog fight. So I am.
I am in on drama, on on the Masters that
I'm on so uh so so I guess you would
say I'm in on the Masters. I could not be

(01:30):
any more surprised to see Phil Mickelson minus seven seventeen
right now. But it actually also just further confirmed my
sadness really okay, oh my my sadness over Tiger Woods,
because like it's not even no, it's not even like sad.

(01:54):
I feel pity for him right now, which is like,
this is not how Tiger was supposed to get old,
Like he was supposed to get old like like Jack,
where eventually you know he can't compete, but he just
shows up at the tournament, does this thing, and then
all of a sudden, you know, like like that he'll

(02:16):
play on the Seniors Tour or something and just you know,
fade into designing golf courses and all of that. But
that video yesterday, he looked like Jake Taylor from from
Major League trying to get around the basis, dude, it was.
It made me want to cry. That's a good comparison,
and it's a very sad thing because you're right. Tiger yesterday,

(02:39):
right before the third round was stopped due to rain,
before there was another way weather delay, Tiger was what
plus six and seven holes, That is what it was.
The rain's just coming down and Tiger's limping noticeably. One
time he reached down to get the ball from the
cup and it was like he's reachin down. All things

(03:03):
are a little stiff right now. It was rough to
see and that's a rocky there. It felt like rocky
where you throw in the damn towel. Yeah, I like
I wanted to go throw in the towel, the proverbial
towel for for a Tiger. If I could have done it,
I would have did it because I get that he

(03:23):
wants like and his comments prior to the Masters. It
felt and I and I don't want to get too dark,
but it reminded me of when my grandmother passed a
few years ago and well almost ten now, where she
she had had two bouts of cancer and she was

(03:44):
just tired, man like like she was just like, I
don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to
go through this. And and I understood it, and I
got it, and I appreciated it. But she she had
run out of fight, and that was Tiger that felt
like that. That's what Tiger was saying, that he's out

(04:06):
of fight right now. Yeah, it's hard to see it, really,
isn't That was the thing? Correct me? If I'm wrong, George,
I think that he withdrew because of a foot injury,
right like, it wasn't leg or knee or I think
it was foot related. So that makes it even tougher
right there. But no, not the ending that we wanted
for Tiger. And really, he made his twenty third consecutive

(04:29):
cut at the Masters as a pro. Right, He's never
missed a cut at the Masters as a pro, And
looking back, would have been better if he did right,
if Justin Thomas missed his put or I'm sorry, if
he made his put on eighteen, I believe Tiger wouldn't
have made the cut. So as it turned out, it
would have been better if Tiger was just an eyelash

(04:51):
short of making the cut. But he made the cut
and unfortunately had to withdraw because his body failed him.
Right there. That was tough to see. But I'm in
on drama here. You've got Ram He's at minus ten.
He just dropped a stroke, so he's at minus ten. Speef,
who's almost done for the day, He's at minus eight
along with Brooks Kapka. Brooks Kepka is fading here, George,

(05:13):
He's fading. And as far as drama goes, you've got
Brooks Kapka. He is the top live golf guy at
the Master's right now, Like that would be very surprising
because he just dropped another stroke and so he's plus
three on the day and he's he's melting under the
sun right now. It really is. He's melting under the sun.

(05:35):
And it's funny because you wouldn't expect that out of
Brooks Capca. He's got a lot of holes left, right,
and and that should lead to, you know, some scoring
opportunities on the on the back half. But it is very,
very like this will be the one that got away
if he loses this. Bro Yeah, and it's not looking

(05:55):
good right now. He's gonna have to pick it up
just to be but he's still i mean, he's still
got you know, nine holes left, so he just he
just can't. And with John Ram dropping a shot to
two shots in nine holes, as long as Rom doesn't
do something ridiculous, then he should be Then he's within

(06:19):
striking distance, which is what we really want. Yeah, like
he's the he's in the spot to do it right there,
John Ram. But the thing is when you look at
I don't know why, it's been almost all negative where
it's the Live Golf Tour and it's the b GA
Tour and from major like this, George, this is straight
out of the pro Wrestling handbook right here, where it's

(06:42):
the faces and the heels, it's the good guys and
the bad guys, it's the heroes and the villains, however
you want to look at it. But that's how a
lot of people look at the dudes who defected to
live golf. And if we get some drama at at
a major like this, and that gives you a little
incentive to this like Brooks, Kapca or any of the
live golf guys, great it helps the entertainment value. Again,

(07:05):
this is straight out of WWE, where literally there's a
guy like carrying the Saudi Arabian flag. They playing the
song and it's like he talks trash and then you
root for the other guy that's from America. Yeah, like
this is pro wrestling to a tea. So I don't
know why it's talked about in such a negative light.
I think this helps my entertainment value overall. Here if

(07:27):
it's one side versus the other. Same thing with Phil.
Now Phil has turned, he'll phillis turned Nwoh he's dressed
in all black. I know he's worn all black before,
but it's like he went nWo. You know, like that's good.
I think it's good for the majors to spruce him
up a little bit. Oh, dude, I love now. Now. Granted,
all these live golfers will not be at the rest

(07:49):
of the majors, but I mean they will probably be
at the Open Championship overseas, but um, but after that,
I think that's the last one that they can play in. UM.
And you are right about Phil. About Phil Mickelson though,
the way he dressed, the way he's dressed in the

(08:10):
limited amount of sponsors all over all over him. Dude,
he definitely looks like Hulk Hogan in nWo. All right, Yeah,
he is dressed in all black Hulk Hogan and it is.
It's weird to see and I'm and I'm not in
I mean, is he rocking Phase Clan gear? I don't

(08:31):
know what he's doing. Yeah, I'm not sure what brand
that is, but he's rocking on the hat and the shirt.
I don't know what he's got going on right there.
But um, yeah, I got I gotta get Google to
help me with that one. Yeah, I don't. I think
he is Hollywood Hogan over there, you know, just gotta
play the championship belt lefty. Oh, he used to come
out like that. But as far as the Major's go,

(08:53):
I think it's a compelling storyline. So sometimes hate is good, right, Like,
if you take anything, if it's the NFL, if it's
March Madness, the Final Four, if there's a team that
you really dislike, guess what you're doing. You're paying attention,
you're watching them, you're rooting against them. It helps the entertainment.
According to Phil Mickelson dot com, none of these are

(09:16):
the actual one that he's wearing, because he's got Grayhawk
golf Club, Maline, the hat company, Vista Jet, which which
takes him wherever he wants to go, Intrepid Financial Partners
who pays off all his gambling debts, um Amstelle, Light Callaway, Workday, KPMG,

(09:36):
and one that I would love. I need this one.
I gotta figure out how I can get this Rolex sponsorship, Brohau.
Rolexes are hard to find right now, Bro, they are
very hard. Are you in the rolex market? I wouldn't
know if they're hard to find. Actually have a rolex
on right now? Yeah, you got your rolex on. So
you got a rolex on and you're looking for another one.

(09:58):
You know it's a baron market right now. What's going
on with you? Do you have a rolex fetish there? George? No,
they they served. How many watches do you have? I
have one that was just given to me about a
week ago. Okay, so most people have more than one watch,

(10:18):
so it's for different occases, like if you dress up,
dress down, all those sorts of things. Dude, I'm not
a big watch guy. Not a big watch guy. See,
I love watches. I love How many watches do you
think our guy Iowa Sam has what would you put
the over under at I'm gonna go two and a half. Hey,
Iowa Sam technical producer, extraordinary. How many watches do you own?
I own? I think eight eight? All right, listen, I

(10:43):
I just didn't watch wear a watch for twenty years
and my dad bought me this cool watch and I've
been wearing it for like the last couple of months.
All the watches I own, the batteries are dead. Now,
need to take them to a watch a watch guy. Okay, exchange,
but yeah, I got some cool watches. You're one for
one eight watches for Iowa. Sam, what would you say?
What's the over under? Bow Benson, our trusted producer. He's

(11:03):
an East Coast guy. Oh oh, he for sure has more.
I might even I'm still gonna stick with two and
a half watches. Two and a half. You're taking the over, right,
But he almost said it at three and a half. Mr.
I said it at three and a half over or under?
Oh I'm going over. You're going over that. Bo Benson,
our trusted producer. How many watches do you own? But

(11:25):
how many watches do I own? Yep? How many watches? One? One?
Boom my guy bo That's what I like, simplicity. We
don't need eight watches like watches your life. I have
one Apple watch, But what about like a cool time piece.
Now he doesn't need that. You gotta collect those watches.
I like it, and we gotta hear from Moncy Bologos. Moncy,

(11:46):
how many watches do you? But before you mention it, George,
what's the over under for months? Oh? Monty is uh
is a is a fashionista on on a some level too.
So are you gonna go five and a half? No? No, no, no,
because oh, she for sure has some You know, I'm

(12:07):
gonna go with Monsey. I'm gonna go with I'm gonna
go with three and a half per Monsey. So so
I think she has four four watches over Okay, all right,
what's the number Monsey? I think I have like nine,
I might have more. I love watches and I it's
like I'll I have to wear a watch with oversize

(12:31):
faces sometimes, oh yeah, And I like have made purchases
like I'm literally walking and I see a watch on
this play, I'm like, I'll take that right now, just
give it to I gotta go, I gotta go. I
want that one right now. I've done that. I love watches.
Now you are you aware like George is about the
Rolex market right now? Oh? Yes, yes, the boyfriend is
on a search for a Rolex, and every time a

(12:51):
guy is wearing a Rolex, he can spot it from
a mile away. Yeah you can, I can't. I cannot.
They are hard to come by right now. It is.
It is bro even now. Now there are a couple
of people. I just found a guy who's a baseball
so baseball catchers, uh. On a side note, have the

(13:13):
plug on everything that I didn't. I didn't know, but
they have the plug. And so I found the baseball
catcher and he's got a plug with rolex. So, um,
I'm planning on scooping up. Oh no, moss, I just
got to figure out what it is that like what
I want because there's there's so many different faces. I
think I want a chocolate face. That's such a flex.

(13:35):
That's such a major flex. When you said, you're like,
I'm wearing a Rolex right now, like it's no big deal,
and then one right now, Yeah, such a schister for us.
I just said it was a flex. That was it
wasn't even intended to be a flex, which makes it
even a major flex. Because it wasn't intended to be
a flex makes it better. It's all that cash you

(13:57):
picked up from the Ravens the one year. So there's
his running joke. So Me and Me and No did
a show on Saturday's for how long long time, I
don't know, a couple of years maybe, yeah, and so
um and he would constantly say something about me and
the Ravens and I was like, bro, I didn't play

(14:18):
for the Ravens. And on air he's response was, Monsey,
Yes you did. I was like, are you sure? I
swear you played for the Ravens but just one year.
I looked at Pro Football Reference nothing but Jaguars. I'm like,
why was I thinking he played for the Ravens at
least one year. Yeah, So that's been the running joke

(14:39):
because they picked up the Rolex money from that year
and b Moore yep. So when we got to actually,
as a note though, the Rolex was a gift, Oh yeah, yeah.
I got some high roller friends over there, but the
wife got it even better. High roller wife. That's the
best of best of all worlds right there. All right,

(15:01):
we got a lot going on over here. Coming up next.
We got a new record, and we also have fisticuffs
teammate on teammate, fists flying in the air. We'll get
to that I'm Brian, No, he's George Reister. Keep it

on Fox Sports Radio. Coming to you live from the
Tirak dot com studios. We had some fisticuffs earlier today

(16:07):
here George in the Timberwolves game. So how about Rudy Gobert.
He swung at his teammate SloMo Kyle Anderson hit SloMo
right in the chest and uh. The Timberwolves sent Rudy
Gobert home. They said, get out of here. This was
a brief portion of it on Bally Sports. Check it

(16:28):
out from Michael Grady day. Just something you don't see
every day. One teammate swinging and connecting on another teammate.
So there you go, Rudy Gobert as the tea Wolves
there in a dog fight right now. This is a
one possession game heading into the fourth quarter. And what
are you doing at this point in the season. I

(16:48):
know that it's intense, and I get all of that,
but you're about to head into the playoffs here and
you're punching your teammate. That's just that's bad man. That
we always talk about being a bad leader or you
know this, or that Rudy Gobert is not a superstar
at all, But that's clown behavior right there. If we're
gonna crush a superstar for doing that, you need to

(17:09):
call out who. Like the Timberwolves traded what five draft picks?
They traded a ton for Rudy Gobet trade ever horrible
trade and that was Mack and Kyle Anderson brutal. Oh god, bro,
that that trade is gonna end up like like herschel Walker. Bro. Yeah,

(17:30):
that that trade is gonna end up an epic disaster.
Do Utah Jett think think about this? Do you talk
Jazz won thirty seven games this year because they're for
sure losing to the Lakers today and they um, yeah,
so they've won thirty seven games and they were trying

(17:52):
to lose. Think about that like that that they found
out that Lorie Marketing was a very good player. His
team could have made the playoffs, well, could have made
the play in. Yeah, certainly made the play in. This
is after trading Donovan Mitchell, trading Rudy Gobert, and it
just looked like spare parts, you know at Mike Conley Junior.

(18:15):
They moved him right, but they had they rested a
lot of their guys, like you mentioned Lorry Marking in
Jordan Clarkson down the stretch and yeah, would have taken
around forty ish wins right now, the thunder of thirty
nine wins. So yeah, if Utah made a push down
the stretch, they probably would have made the play in. Yep.

(18:35):
And and so they got think think about this. They
got rid of Gobert and who people will continu Oh,
he's a superstar. No he's not, he's not. No, he's not.
He's really like, he's a good player. But but we're
not getting ready to talk about screen assists and getting

(18:55):
into the U and getting into the All Star Game.
I'm not doing it. And then they lost Donovan Mitchell
and this was still a play in team. Yeah. So
now with all of these draft picks, what what is
likely in Danny Ainge, who has a history of drafting

(19:15):
good players, what's probably going to happen? Brian Bran, Now,
if you had to guess, as far as what you taught,
we're saying they're gonna get luck out and get Yama
or something like that. I'm not even saying even if
they don't get let's let's say they don't get Victor
Wim Wimban Yama. Uh huh, They're they're gonna have two

(19:36):
first round picks. Yeah, high picks, because the Timberwolves are
gonna end up not in the playoffs anyway. So so
then they're gonna get their pick plus whatever they gave
the Cleveland whatever Cleveland gave them back through this team
is gonna be sick. Yeah, well, listen, man, Danny Ainge

(19:58):
isn't gonna swing and miss on all the picks. A
couple of them turn into really good players. And yeah,
think about that, George, that trade between the Tea Wolves
and the Jazz. You have the Timberwolves right now with
forty one wins on this season. Utah has thirty seven.
And I realized Carl Anthony Towns was hurt for a
long time. But we just mentioned Utah resting their dudes

(20:20):
at the end of the season, and it wasn't like
they were blessed with great talent, not like they have
like a former number one overall pick with Anthony Edwards
and all, and there's still just four wins less than
the Timberwolves. Like Utah year one has won that trade,
and going forward, it's just gonna be a landslide with
all those picks. Yep, yep. I mean it is gonna

(20:45):
be absolute insanity for for this team because the Dallas Mavericks, well,
all these teams are taking right and you have the
Dallas Mavericks who literally lost on purpose. I know it.

(21:05):
That's what I don't understand this at all. And we'll
dive into it a little bit more after we're hear
from Monsey. But think about this, George, where the MAVs
they rest all their starters except for Luca, who plays
for a quarter in thirty five seconds under thirteen minutes
against the Bowls a couple of nights ago, right, that

(21:26):
was the Slovenian Night, one Slovenian Night. Yeah, so they
give the little tip of the cap to Luca. He
plays a little more than a quarter and then he
sits the rest of the game. The MAVs lose that game,
they are eliminated from playoff contention. And now the NBA
they're gonna investigate. We gotta launch a probe over here.

(21:47):
See what's going on? Did they do everything? Was it
on the up and up? It's like, bro, are we
serious right now? First off, you don't need a probe.
It's pretty easy. It's two plus two equals four. If
you're gonna punish them, then punish them. You don't need
the law. Trailblazers have been putting out on the floor.
Look at the Blazers. They gave up fifty five points
in the first quarter to Golden State. They have been

(22:09):
putting out rosters that and they did it last year too.
That are criminally bad, criminally bad, and and and truth
be told, they should owe their fans money. But that's
the thing. Is the Blazers have done it to give
a rebate. They've rested like that, Damian Lillard and Anthony

(22:32):
Simons and Yusuf Nurkic and the list goes on and on.
They've done it. No probe has been launched. You know,
look at the Indiana Pacers. They've rested Haliburton and Miles
Turner for multiple games. No probe has been launched. But
the MAVs do it. And now it's a part about
this tis you know what the great part about this
is is that where guys have incentives in their contract

(22:56):
and stuff for all NBA and all that that, how
are you gonna get Damian Lillard to sit out when
start next year when there is a potentilar when he'll
only get sixty four games in, Well, he'll only get
sixty two games in and that money on the wood.

(23:19):
Well that's the thing is Hopefully that will help the problem.
But uh, you know, I don't know. You're not eligible
for postseason awards if you don't play at least sixty
five games. Hopefully that will help the load management craze.
But don't get me wrong, I'm not like poor unfortunate
Dallas Mavericks It's just like why I don't get it.

(23:42):
I don't know why the NBA is launching a probe
just for that team when they're letting other teams rest
their stars. But like, of course, the other players are
trying to move up in the tank standings where maybe
the ping pong balls fall their way and they luck
out and they get Victor wembin Yama. That's exactly what
Dallas has two. So I don't just don't get it.

(24:02):
It's like, either punish these teams or don't, but to
launch a probe as if you don't know exactly what's
going on. They're trying to keep a top ten pick.
That's it. That's why Dallas rested their guys. I can
save you a lot of time with this probe over here.
What a joke. I don't get the NBA sometimes Oh yeah,

(24:22):
oh yeah, bro. And now you know what it's funny
is that is that last night you had well I'm sorry,
not not last night, but but you've just had you.
Donnas has them play a game? Right? Speaking of players

(24:45):
like sitting out and everything, you had you, Donna's has them?
How does you Donna's has them? Thirty eight thousand years old,
yeah right, yeah, in basketball years, yeah, in basketball years.
He is na has them play twenty in his final
NBA regular season game, played twenty five minutes today and

(25:06):
scored twenty four points, nine of seventeen, three for seven
from three, three for three from the free throw line,
got three rebounds of block. And you know who he
scored more points than in a single game this year.
I'm not sure who is? Who would it be? Ben Simmons? Well,

(25:30):
I mean, is that the pinyada for you? You know,
just beat up on Ben? You know he hasn't had
not known as a scorer exactly. You know, did he
play That's the other question. How many points for you?
Donna's twenty four? Yep, in twenty five minutes? How many
games did Ben Simmons play? I doubt it was twenty four?
Did he play half of that? I don't know how

(25:50):
many games he suited up for to this? And I've
been talking about this, dude for the longest because because
Ben Simmons does he loves being an NBA player, loves
being an NBA player, does not love basketball, does not
love basketball at all. And Ben Simmons played, you were

(26:11):
totally for forty two games forty two games and he
started the thirty three, ye six, six and six the
Devil's work. Maybe maybe it was that point total where
I know, like Cam Thomas went nuts today. Shocker for
the nets, right, Cam Thomas, it's just time to shine.
If the starters aren't playing, it's like Cam Thomas just

(26:32):
gonna go nuts. Um. So I'm aware of the games
Cam Thomas has played. But when Ben Simmons is giving
you like six points on average, yeah, a lot of
his games get lost in the shuffle there. Oh yeah,
oh yeah, it's a it's a zoo bro Okay, So
you might have jinked the Lakers here, George As we're
under three minutes here. It's a one possession game. We're

(26:53):
gonna hear him. What about this? It's a one possession game.
They looked a lot better before you said they're winning
for sure today, you know, I mean, truthfully, it doesn't
even really matter because I want one particular thing from
four of my Lakers. One thing. Okay, we're gonna find
that out here in a second. Here first, though, Moncy
Belanos is with us. She's got the latest. Yeah, Lebron

(27:16):
looks like he got hit in the face. Yeah, he
got hit in the face. He was just on the floor.
But you're right. They are down by three to the
Utah Jazz one twenty two, one seventeen is the score
going down to the wire. The Pelicans and the Timberwolves
are kind of going down to the wire. This one
still has nine minutes to go. Timberwolves are up ninety
four eighty nine against the Pelicans. They were going to

(27:38):
play the rest of the way. You guys already mentioned
it without Rudy Gobert, who took a shot at his
teammate Kyla Anderson on the bench. Did you guys see it? Yeah?
Oh my god. What was he thinking? Bro? He wasn't nobody.
He never thinks he needs to just sit down. He
never thinks like Rudy Gobert. Why like why, I just
don't get Hey, hey, this is perfect, Monsey. This is

(28:03):
this only is going to expedite the the the process
of Anthony Edwards getting to where his home should should.
Oh wow, really that's what you're thinking. Yes, that's what
you're going with. All right, Well, you want Anthony Edwards
or Luca he might be on the block here. I
want Anthony Edwards. You want wow? Wow, Wow. Well, the

(28:24):
Clippers were Louisine to the Suns, but not anymore. They
are now on top. Yeah, ninety two ninety one with
nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter. I don't
want the Clippers in a play in game with the Lakers.
I just don't. So I don't see, I don't so listen.
I also don't want the Clippers have to play the Suns.
But you know, it is what it is. It is
what it is. Which would you rather have their? Would

(28:45):
you rather be the five seed, five seed facing the Spurs?
I'm sorry, facing the Suns, five seed facing the Suns,
or in the play in? Oh oh? Why don't don't
you have any confidence in your in your word? But
it's not that It's not that I don't have confidence.

(29:06):
I just think that the Suns are that good. I
think the Suns are gonna win the Western Conference? They might?
So do you want to play in more? Wrong? No,
But I don't want to play in against the Lakers.
You got to choose. Why wouldn't you want to play in?
You you wantleven straight? Hey, put it banner, put it

(29:28):
on the fridge. Yes, I just don't. But I mean,
if we play the Suns. We played the Suns. That's
what it is. I just think the Suns are gonna
win the Western Conference easily, easily. I think they're the
best team. So then you want to play in more. No, No,
it's it is what it is. It is what it is,
you know what I mean. And we have to play
the songs. We have to play the songs. It is
what it is. Unfortunately, the war got win one game.

(29:49):
One game. You're a seven seed, maybe a better matchup
in your opinion. Games are so nerve wrecking, like I can't.
I would lose my mind. I would lose my you
know what. No, I can't. I can't stop it. You're
making me nervous. It's Liven happening. The Warriors came out
swinging and they never looked back. One hundred and fifty
seven for the Warriors. But it was Clay Thompson who

(30:12):
was there. So they should be so bad they are,
I know, but it was Clay Thompson. Look look like
Curry offa screen, comes lot chest past the Thompson takes
the dribble, fires for three. Any Rado at home watch
number four for Thompson. He's got fourteen points in two
minutes of thirty seven seconds, Farriors Radio Network two minutes

(30:33):
at thirty seven seconds, and he scored fourteen points. I
think he only ended with twenty because obviously they completely
killed the Blazers and he made his three hundred three
point of the season. Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, he
can shoot. He can shoot. The Warriors I think can
make a run in the Western Conference. I think they can't.
But it's the Suns are gonna win. The Sons are
gonna win, guys, but I'm not buying them. Watch. Watch.

(30:55):
We got a little baseball going on the Mariners and
the Guardians. This game just ended, but they went to
twelve innings and Cleveland came out on top, seven to six.
Earlier today, Aaron Judge hit two home runs as the
Yankees took down the Orioles five to three. Right now, though,
the Rockies a one run lead over the National seven six,
top of the eighth, the Royals beating the Giants one
zero bottom of the seventh, The Angels have added another run.

(31:18):
They're shutting out the Blue Jay six zero top of
the six, and the Dodgers are losing to the Diamondbacks.
Why why why? Nine to three is the score bottom
of the fifth inning, and John ram is at the
top of the leaderboard at the master's ten under par.

need to hear what you want most for your Lakers
and is it what you want least is Luca? Is
he on the least list over there? No, he's not
on the least list, Luca. I would I would be

(32:02):
much happier with Anthony Edwards a long term. Is that
the one thing that you want is Anthony Edwards? No? No,
what is the one thing? The one thing I want
is the eight seed? You want the eighth seed? Yes? Yes?
Why you just licking your chops with the Denver knightles? Oh? Really?
Oh god? Yes? Why a bait? Bro Oh do you

(32:24):
know what Anthony Davis does to uh to? Yes? Yeah, yes,
he put him in a head like every single time
they play. Is this um like Nolan Ryan hitting Robin Ventura,
Remember when when he is like grabbed him around the
neck and just started hitting him. Is that what's going
on with Anthony Davis and Yoki? Yeah? That that feels

(32:46):
like a really good matchup for us. I mean true, truthfully,
even if we got to play the Grizzlies with the
seven seed, I'm I'm good with that too, Like I am,
I'm perfectly fine with that. So your Lakers are gonna
win here, George, I was kind of hope. I told
you that got down to a one possession game. Can
we throw this out there? Is it possible that the

(33:11):
Clippers are trying to avoid the Suns. There's a close game.
So the Clippers, they've got their starters going minus Paul
George who's hurt right now, against the Suns B team,
and it's a one it's a tight game here with
about seven and a half minutes to go. I mean it,
does the devil show up on your left shoulder and
whisper to you, hey, hey, Clippers, instead of facing the

(33:33):
Suns in the first round in the four five matchup,
maybe you lose. Maybe it's a better path, you think
they're thinking that at all, George Bro listen. I hope
they do do it. I hope they do because I
gotta see the uh. I gotta see all of the possibilities,
because if all the possibilities are right, oh gotten, the

(33:56):
Clippers end up in the play in after all of
that talk. Oh mother it is, Lord, have mercy on
your soul. If you were here, i'd punch you. If

(34:17):
I don't think that's what I mean. We'll see. If
this is like the MAVs and they're taking three three
pointers in the final thirty seconds against the Bulls and
missing all of them, not even drawing iron on any
of those shots, maybe maybe I'll raise an eyebrow. But
when the Clippers are playing their main guys, I think
it's just the second day of a back to back.

(34:37):
I think. Okay, so uh okay. So there are playoffs scenarios, right,
So it depends on what happens with Minnesota and the Pelicans. Right,
So the Lakers are gonna win, um is Golden State's
going to win. So with that, there is if Minnesota wins,

(34:58):
there is no way the Lakers can get the six seed. Okay,
m yeah. However, if the Pelicans win. If excuse me,
if the Pelicans win, Actually, there's no way the Lakers
can get the six seed. Yep, there's no way the
Lakers can get the six seed even if the Clippers lose,

(35:20):
because Portland would have needed to win. So yep, so no, wow.
So if that's the way it sets up, the Clippers
own the tiebreaker against the Lakers. So think about that.
If that's the case, they would fall from five, where
they would meet the Suns, to six, where they would
face the Sacramento Kings. Huh, that's the Kings is more

(35:45):
favorable matchup. You would agree with that, right, No? No, no, no,
brom Hey, hey, these these young ThunderCats are they are
not playing well? You believe more in the Sacramento Kings
than the Phoenix Suns. Yes, yes, no, yeah, you're crazy,
You're okay, you've lost your mind? Yeah no, no, no,

(36:07):
I do believe that the Phoenix Suns are better, but
they barely played together and who knows if they if
they will stay healthy. That's what I don't trust. Okay,
all right, we've got according to Mancy around the corner,
she's got some opinions. Maybe a hot take er too,
that's on the way. I'm Brian. No, she he's George Reister. Sorry, Monsey,

(36:28):
you know, yeah, it's Fox Sports Radio. I'm Brian No,
he's George Reister. Here on Fox Sports Radio. We're coming
to you from the tire rack dot Com studios. You know.
According to Moncy, is one of my favorites. Let's dive
on in now. It's time for absolutely According to Muncy,

(36:50):
I love it. According to Mancy, Luca don Chich does
not need to request a trade. He really doesn't. I mean, Mark,
you've been took a big swing acquiring Kyrie Irving and
obviously didn't go as planned. But at least he tried.
We all knew that don chech wasn't gonna do anything
with the MAVs. They weren't going to go as far
as they did last year, so he tried. And as

(37:11):
a player, don't you want an owner that's willing to
spend money and like actually wants to win. Now, if
he does request the trade, I think Dallas needs to
talk to Okay, See, they are stacked with young talent.
They made the playoffs without chet Holgrin, so can you
imagine Shay Gilches, Alexander and Luca Dante playing together. Oh,
that would be trouble. But I don't think that he

(37:34):
needs to request the trade. I think he just needs
to stay with the MAVs and they need to make
some moves. That's what I think. Well, hey man, they
better hope the pink pong balls bounced their way. I mean,
that's what That's why they tanked at the end. According
to Munsey, load management is a load of crap. Of
course it is, and we've known this, but this is

(37:55):
what's really frustrating. And I'm using a d as an example,
Anthony Davis, because it just happen all season. We were like,
he can't play back to back. He can't play back
to back. Science, science tells us he can't do it,
but yet he just did it. So it's just annoying
when they're telling us that it's medically a reason, or
like science is telling us that these players can't play
back to back. But when it matters, it does. You

(38:16):
can't pick it choose when science works for you. Guys.
I hate that the NBA is doing this, and you
guys were talking about today's games. All of the games
today should have been five dollars for the fans, all
of them. There were no stars playing. In fact, yeah,
I like, maybe you should have paid the fans to
come in. Like, stop telling me that load management is needed,
but yet when you are like down to the final

(38:37):
old games and it's really needed, then it doesn't matter.
I hate that. Stop using science as an excuse and
picking and choosing when it actually benefits you. I hate that.
And stop bringing up Anthony Davis what you should have
brought up Netlippers. No, he's a perfect example though, and
it's I'm just using him. But it goes across the NBA.
It goes across the NBA. I hate that you're telling
me science work sometimes and that it doesn't work other times.

(38:59):
Shut up. Stop. According to Munsey, all right, according to Mancy,
if you don't know how to treat your bartenders and servers,
then stay your ass home. I was just out with
a friend. It was when the Lakers and the Clippers
were playing, and I literally was about to punch this
couple in the face. They were so rude to the bartender,
like Rudy Gobert. Yes, yes, I would have made better contact. Though.

(39:20):
This girl shook her empty drink at the bartender and
I almost lost it. Who do you? I don't. If
you don't know how to treat people with respect, you
don't deserve to go out in public and eat. Stitch
your ass home. Don't go bother bartenders shaking your glass
at them. And then they sat down for happy hour
and it was like twenty minutes prior to happy hour,

(39:41):
and the guy was like, oh, can we give you
the order? And the bartender was like, um, we don't
have happy hour for twenty minutes. And the guy's like, yeah,
can you just take our order and put it in
in twenty minutes? No? No, I yeah, I'm gonna fight
somebody at a bar, Like if I see another disrespectful pa.
My grandmother would snap her fingers if people did not
get to her fast, different time, different times. Bard can

(40:05):
shake its glass out of our tender. That's it, well done, Monsey,
like the Passion, like the takes. Coming up next, we
get to uh, why George's half crazy here? Full crazy? Oh?
What's going on? Everybody? Happy Easter to you. I hope
you're enjoying it. We got drama over here. Masters coming

(40:28):

The way tire buying should be okay. John Ram still

(40:49):
has a two stroke lead very quietly Phil Mickelson in
second place. His day is done, a seven under sixty
five today for Lefty, very very quietly done. No hope,
lah no pub that he used to be a fan favorite.
Now it's like a fills in second place, fills in
second place. Don't look over there, fils he's look over there. Yeah,

(41:11):
don't pay attention to fill over there. But yeah, in
second place. As uh, you got Kepka. He's in that
final group with John Ram. Keepka is at minus seven. So,
like you said, Kepka is wilting under the sun and
the pressure today here, George, that is crazy. So now,
how much do you think that the PGA tour is

(41:34):
rooting for John Ram right now? Um? A lot? Yeah,
absolutely a lot, because you don't want John Ram to
fall behind Lefty or Keepka. Like imagine if it's live
live one two, oh yeah, yeah, you'd have, you'd have. Yeah,
Kepka is still active right now, like he's still he's

(41:54):
still playing. Speith is in the clubhouse at minus seven.
Also Reid is out there. Uh he's got a chance
Patrick Reid to move up. But there's a tie there
at at minus seven. They're actually four golfers at minus
seven right now. Keepka is one of them. Jordan Speed's
the only John's in the clubhouse right now. John Ron
been hitting the ball from weird spots today about above

(42:16):
his feet, below his feet just oh, like he is.
He's just like it's like when when uh, when somebody
shot is just off and they're just, yeah, chucking it
all over the place, You're like, bro, what what the
hell is going on? Like, how are you chucking the
ball everywhere? Yeah, they're trying to cut it out. It's

(42:37):
too too hard. It's not like it's just it's like
every shot instead of it being like an eight or
an eight and a half, which which is what you need.
He's his shots are like six and a half. Like
they're they're not going in the in the rough and
in the woods. Nope, they're just in just a complete

(43:01):
wrong spot. Which it's a little like, yeah, it's sometimes
you see this in the NFL, where there's a game
that just is not a work of art. It's gonna
be ugly a little bit, you know, a mucket up
type of game. Maybe it's like Raven Steelers would be
a good example, at least as of late, where it's
not like Kenny Pickett's gonna throw for a Mahomes stat line.

(43:21):
It's gonna be really good defense, it's gonna be hard nosed.
I think we're seeing an AFC North battle here at
the Masters with what you're talking about with John Ram.
You're right, he's not shooting a low score today. It's
just it's kind of funky, but he's still at top
to leaderboard, right, doesn't have to be a work of art,
just as long as you end up winning this thing,
Phil Mickelson, at minus seven for the day, that's not

(43:43):
gonna be John Ram. But even if Ram is hey man,
minus two for the day might be enough to do
it the way it's trending, So we'll see how that unfolds.
How about this, also, George, as we look to the NBA,
we're gonna get to the playoff matchups being set here
in a second, but you don't have Luca di ch
on your wish list. You're very low on Luca. I
want to know why, no defense? You got a thing

(44:04):
for defensive players in the NBA or something. First of all,
I think that Luca is a tremendous talent, right, a
tremendous talent, But he is the Slovenian James Harden. Like
James Harden's not a championship caliber player. I don't believe
Luca is at this point point in time either, just

(44:26):
because his usage rates are so high, and until and
until he can prove that his usage rates can be
down further, I'm not gonna trust it. I'm not gonna
trust him as a championship caliber player. And he doesn't
play defense, just like except for he gives more effort
than James Harden did so and he's more likable, like

(44:47):
they are kind of the same guy, except for Luca
at least tries a little bit better. And I am
going with the guy Anthony Edwards, who will for sure
come in in better shape. He wants to play every
single game. That's who I'm choosing. That's who that That's
why I twos from my champion. Interesting. I mean Luca

(45:10):
is an absolute baller, There's no doubt about that. And
I realize the defensive end, sure, that's fine, But man,
I don't know, it's funny how all of this is.
He can't blame Kyrie, can't blame Kyrie whatsoever. It's like, really,
they went from a four seed in the West when
they made that trade to eleventh and that has just

(45:30):
nothing to do with Kyrie. Irving was Kyrie's fault? What
are you talking about? But it's just funny. It's like
they were in fourth place with Luca before they traded
for Kyrie. Then they traded for Kyrie, they plummet to eleventh,
and it can't be Kyrie's fault. It can't be. First
thing is is that you can't compare the two things

(45:52):
because first thing is the Western Conference four and eleven
where like three games apart, you know what I mean, Like,
it's not I mean even even now with the way
that things are there are well now they're seven and
a half games separating them. But but weeks ago, weeks ago, dude,

(46:18):
that was uh, but well probably I should say two
months ago. Between four and eleven was literally like three
and a half four and a half games. And when
you think about this Dallas Mavericks team, they lost Finney
Smith and they lost Spencer Denwy, both good defensive players. Right,

(46:39):
and we're still fourth. And we're still fourth. Yeah right,
So I hear you, I hear you. You lose those
in the Kyrie Irving trade. Losing Dorian Finney Smith was
very underrated. Yeah, underrated, But they didn't have Jalen Brunson
all season long. Correct, But it but this team every
about all now they're contenders. How they can't stop anybody?

(47:02):
You have two terrible defenders in Luca and Kyrie. You
can't score enough points to undo that. And now the
Mavericks were like, oh my god, if we don't miss
the playoffs, then then what's gonna happen. Then we're gonna
lose our pick. And if we lose our pick, then

(47:25):
we have no way to get better. That means we're
for sure gonna lose Luca. So this was a desperation move.
And I want to see because I'm I'm an agent
of chaos at times, so I would like to see
what happens if they don't if they don't retain their pick,

(47:46):
well we'll see what happens but you know what, we'll
circle back to the MAVs. There are none playoff news
right here. We gotta get to the playoff matchups here
at George Brian Know and George Reister with you here
on Fox Sports Radio. So the Wall, the Timberwolves, they're
about to win this game. They go up by four
points in the final two seconds against the Pelicans. So

(48:08):
the way it's gonna work for the play in okay,
just to play in situation. The loser of this Pels
Timberwolves game goes to ninth, right, So the Timberwolves they
move up to eight to face your Lakers. George's gonna
be Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves. The other play in matchup
Pelicans and Thunder. Now the interesting part is the non

(48:32):
play in stuff the top six seeds here. So with
the Clippers winning today, the Clippers get the five seed.
They face the Suns, and with Golden State, it came
down to the division record tiebreaker. So because the Clippers
had a better divisional record at nine and seven, that's

(48:53):
the tiebreaker against the Warriors who were seven and nine.
So the Warriors, I think, actually get the better opponent here.
The Warriors will face the Kings in the three six matchup.
The Clippers face the Suns in the four five matches.
That's advantage Warriors, right, Yes, I like that better, baby,
I like that better because ideally we would have liked

(49:17):
to see the Warriors and the Grizzlies. But and we
still may actually get a chance to see that. But
I could not be anymore all in. I actually never mind,
we won't get a chance to see the Warriors. And
I know because your Lakers gonna take down the grizz
Is that what's happening here? Yes, sir, Yeah, yes, sir, yeah.
If somebody had told you, now, mind you. I've been

(49:40):
screaming an old man screaming at the clouds for months now,
and I told everybody the Lakers are going to figure
it out. And after the trade dead line, I was like, yes,
people are like, oh, they're under five hundred. I was like,
they're gonna finish four games over five five hundred, bucket.
And what did they do? Finished four games over five hundred,

(50:03):
which is this feels like an absolute win for the
Lakers right now, a win they got momentum going into
the playoffs. Fro first game is gonna be who against
the Pelicans. No, against the Timberwolves, Timberwolve's gonna face him. Yeah,
oh buddy, not with without Rudy Gobert. I mean that

(50:24):
actually may help them out. But uh yeah. Do you
think Rudy's gonna get suspended for hitting his own teammate? Yes?
Absolutely absolutely he Now Now, now the thing is he's
going to be suspended because did you notice nobody defended

(50:45):
like their their teammates got on Rudy. They didn't get
on SlowMo SloMo got hit. Yeah, no, no, no, But
but if he were out of pocket, they would have
said so, they would have gone at him. But it
was Rudy that was out of pocket. Yeah. Yeah, normally
the hitter of your own teammate is that that's not

(51:08):
always the case. And Jordan and Jordan Poole, did anybody
come out and criticize from the Warriors, criticize Jamond Green? Well,
they didn't want to get smacked, you know, they didn't
want to be next in line, Sam, buddy, well, your Lakers,
they gotta take on Minnesota and Anthony Edwards, who you're

(51:30):
so high on. So that's not a gimme, that's not
a shoe win right there. If the Lakers do win,
then yes, that would be the two seven matchup against
the Grizzlies. So you not only have the Lakers beating
Anthony Edwards, who you love and want to be a
future Laker. Uh, you have them beating the Grizzlies in
the next round when that even isn't that isn't even

(51:50):
the matchup just yet. George, Hey, hey, listen book. Okay, alright, alright,
you know, I still look at this where I think
the three six and the four or five matchups are
pretty interesting. Where if I'm the Clippers, Okay, I'm not
saying they played it wrong because they're trying to avoid

(52:11):
the play in. I totally understand that, and their game
was going on at the same time that the Pelicans
were playing, so there's no way to know how everything
would shake out. But if the Clippers did know at
the tail end, they might have tried to lose, because
with the Pelicans losing, the Pelicans could not leap frog

(52:33):
the Clippers in the standings, which means that if the
Clippers lost, they would have fallen just one spot to
the sixth seed Clippers versus the Kings. That's much more
favorable in my opinion. Than Clippers versus the Suns. Again,
not calling them out. I'm just saying they got the
tougher of the two matchups right there. You disagree with that.

(52:55):
You think the Clippers facing the Suns is more favorable
than the Clippers facing the Kings. Um, I think the
Clippers facing anybody in the playoffs is bad for the Clippers. So,
I mean, that's just my old death you really, I
feel like this is just trash talk towards mind. No,
I'm not, dude, Okay, So, and I'm talking about the

(53:17):
teams that are reasonable. Reasonable for them to play the
Suns toast, right, they're absolute toast. If they played the
Sacramento Kings. The only thing that they would be able
to lean on is that the Sacramento Kings, they're best players,
don't have a ton of playoff experience. They don't have experience,

(53:38):
and they don't defend. They play no defense. Bro that well,
they do give up one hundred and eighteen points. Again,
they play no defense. They're allergic to defense. In Sacramento.
There are only two teams in the Western Conference they
give up more points, the Houston Rockets and the San
Antonio Spurs. And look how that worked out for them.

(54:01):
You know, this thing about giving up a ton of
points is not very good, not good for your playoff life. Yeah,
oh yeah, oh yeah, bro, that's yeah, because you have
to be able to defend, defend to win in the playoffs.
And that's why teams like the Suns who are good

(54:21):
on defense giving up one hundred and eleven points a game,
but then they're only scoring one hundred and thirteen. So
it'll be very very interesting because it actually was weird
because there's only one team in the playoffs in the
Western Conference that didn't have a positive point differential on

(54:44):
the season, only one, and that was the Timberwolves, who
were completely even. Yeah they yeah, one fifteen point eight
versus one point fifteen point. Everybody else had a positive
point yeah. In the East, the only one with a
negative one is the Miami Heat. Yep. Kind of wild

(55:04):
with them too. Yeah, but uh yeah, man, I like
this matchup with the Kings and Warriors. I'll tell you what, George,
I don't buy the Warriors at all in the playoffs.
Oh you are so god. We need a bet bet
because you have lost your ever love in mind. I
still haven't gotten my grapefruit payment. Just yet, George. I
don't know. I don't know if we can make a

(55:25):
new bet until I get my grapefruit from the old
one with Trevor Lawrence being the number one overall pick.
And you were saying, I don't know. That's how far
back we go, George. We go back to the Trevor
Lawrence draft to it shows together, all right, we gotta
get to this coming up next, the team that is
the NBA version of Tampa Bay. We'll dive into that.

(55:48):
I'm Brian No, He's George Reister. Keep it locked right
here on Fox Sports Radio. I'm Brian No. He's George Reister.
Here on Fox Sports Radio. We're coming to you alive
from the tire rack dot Com studios, and we've got
some breaking news for Yeah, breaking news from Fox Sports fellas.
I can't believe I'm saying this. Odell Beckham Junior has

(56:11):
announced on his Instagram that he is joining the Baltimore
Ravens and according to the NFL Network, it is a
one year deal worth up to eighteen million. Wow, good lord,
eighteen mill A lot of cheddar right there. Well with that,
good timing, Monsey and Odell Adam Kaplan joins this year.

(56:33):
Fox Sports Radio NFL insider adam a good good afternoon
slash evening depending on where you're at in the country.
But halfy easter to you, What do you make of
this Odell Beckham Junior signing with the Ravens. Yeah, and
just understand, when it's just up to eighteen, the real
money's not most likely, not even close to that. That
was the number that he wanted, by the way, he

(56:53):
wanted somewhere in the seventeen eighteen million dollar range. Now,
when you say it's up to there's a base salary,
and there's maybe a signing bonus, and then there's incentives
that could take it up to eighteen and playing it
could be playing time. Again. We don't know what this
looks like. It is fascinating because talking the Jets, I mean,
they really had interested in him. Fact, it could have
shuffled the roster round of the receivers and they had

(57:15):
some contingency plans if they got him in. And remember
he was just a visit tomorrow, so the Ravens got
to him. The Ravens, folks, they've been dreadful at receiver
the last couple years due to injury and they're the
real failure to develop receivers there. They did sign Nelson Agilor,
the former Patriot receiver and Eagles receiver, Raider receiver about

(57:36):
a week ago, but they need major help here and
that's a that's a heck of a signing for the Ravens.
Now now, I could tell you by the way his
workout I'm told was very good. He did a workout
for teams recently. In fact, one person who was at
the workout told me that he didn't look like he
was coming back from an ac andrey and it was
really smart for him not to not to sign with

(57:57):
Dallas or pushed to sign with him. Remember, he clearly
was not really ready in December and November when the
Cowboys really wanted him because they were going to sign him,
and he just was not ready. And this is a
smart thing for him to move to wait and and
obviously they move the forward here. The Jets, I don't
want to say they were counting on it, but they

(58:17):
felt like this is probably gonna happen if they could
get him in there, and he was going to meet
with them to mar there was no good, there's gonna
be no workout. He was gonna. He was gonna sit
down with the officials and coaching staff, but now that
apparently he's not going to happen. Now, what does this
mean for the Ravens, their quarterback position, a potential trade
with the Colts Lamar Jackson? Does this mean anything? No,

(58:41):
it's just they need they have George. If you if
you're not lined up, if you said, okay, who are
the worst teams at receiver in football and the NFL?
I would probably say Baltimer's work, It's probably number one.
Who are Yeah, they're just really bad. So it's just
they had to do something and they needed a veteran,
a savvy veteran. Now, Odell is thirty, clearly the back
nine of his career in play last season, so we

(59:02):
have to see where he's at. But he is recovered
from a second ACL surgery. I mean this is the
second time he's both needs have been done now. But
again I'm told that he looks pretty good. So we'll
see what happens when he gets to their off season program.
And I'm very curious what this real contract looks like.
I'm doing reporting on these things when i'm told by agents,
and that's almost always certain what it comes when when

(59:22):
they say up to eighteen million, it's almost certain to
come from the agent. The real money is typically fifty
no more necessary percent of that, and I'd be surprised
if it's that heavy. But we shall see. How about
the move, the decision to go with the Ravens instead
of the Jets. You think that's a wise move by
Odell Well? I mean, look, the I don't see. Now

(59:44):
does it really mean like Lamar's going back? No? I
mean now, it would only mean something in that vein
if Lamar told him, hey man, I'm coming back, love
to have you with me, and that's changed it. And
we haven't heard that. And remember, Lamar has not been
close to coming back. He's the mare thing. If he
goes back to Baltimore should be it should be a
while longer there's been. I know that two sides have

(01:00:05):
talked on and off for the past month. Now again,
if unless something has changed or that I'm not aware of,
I don't. I don't feel like that had something to
do with it. But but again, he wanted a big contract,
he wanted a big number, and I don't believe that
Jets could have come closed it. Let's say it wants
up being one year, thirteen million. The rest is incentive.

(01:00:26):
That's really strong for a guy coming back from an
ACL I don't know that Jets could. We're willing to
go that far. Now, speaking of the Jets, now, they
don't seem bothered about this potential Aaron Rodgers trade. Should
they be, No, it's it's going to happen. It's going
to happen either right before the draft or in the draft.

(01:00:46):
They have to They have to reach an agreement on
there's going to be have to be one or two
additional picks with this trade because if Rogers walks away
after one year, there's no let's say it's going to
be two seconds. One of them is how to be
a conditional You just can't if you're the Jets, you
can't give up significant draft compensation for a guy could
only play one year. And that's going to be part

(01:01:07):
of that's as I understand it, that's part of why
this has not got done yet. Both sides want this done.
It's going to get done. Adam Kaplan joining us here
Fox Sports Radio NFL Insider. There was a scene from
the movie Departed where one guy says he can't do that,
and the other guy says he just did. And that
reminds me of Jets GM Joe Douglas, who was on

(01:01:28):
stage at at WFA N event and he was asked
by boomerisiasin, so, what's the deal with Aaron Rodgers? And
he's like, we're gonna get him I'm paraphrasing, but he's
under contract. He can't do that, right, you can because
they gave him prinsion to seek a trade. And here
here's okay, we can't remember if we talk last week,
and but you know, I was at the owners meetings
the previous week and I've covered this business twenty one years.

(01:01:50):
I've never seen two gms so out in front that
this is going to happen, just and talking the Jets privately,
mean they it's kind of interesting to see the way
that they look at the roster and how things are
going to break down when Rogers gets there, and how
close he is with OC Nathaniel Hackett, and it's just yeah,
and look, they they're just then getting breeze all back.
I'm told that he's ahead of schedule from his ac

(01:02:12):
acl or injury. Look, they cannot wait to get Rogers there,
know who the heck knows when he'll start practicing and
are they expecting for the offseason program once the trades completed?
But yeah, it is. It is really odd. Yeah, when
a guy's property of another team. But Joe Douglas would
not refuse the in fact, and this is it's funny
because Joe's very conservative, but he didn't care a the

(01:02:33):
owners meetings. He's like because they asked him about what
happens if you don't get Rogers. He goes, who would
be disrespectful to talk about another quarterback when we're trying
to get this deal done. I've just dumbfound it. It's like,
not like Joe. So yeah, I was not aware of
this stuff, he said on w FA. And that's interesting
that he would go out in front like that. Yeah,
it was just an event. He was on stage and
he was asked by it. Let me see if I

(01:02:53):
can dig it up for you real fast. Here's how
it sounded, Adam Rodgers. He's gonna be here, wow, like
publicly like that. You gotta understand. I know Joe, and
that's stunning. I love it. I just love I love

(01:03:15):
because he's so straight to the vest, you know, close
to the vest. And doesn't want to doesn't want to
give you hints, and then for him to do that,
it's just stunning. I love it. I and I know
I've had a lot of friends are Jet fans and
they loved Joe because he last year. Last year's draft
might be one of the best in Jets history when
you look at if Priestall didn't get hurt, think about this,

(01:03:36):
they could have had the offensive defensive rookies here probably
would have, which I don't know if that's happened, maybe
tappening for I'm not aware of it. And they had
one of the all time drafts and it just really
was terrific. Um. Now will we get to and I
Adam as we're getting closer toward the draft talking trades
and all it is. I and I talked to one

(01:03:59):
top arospects dad yesterday, um like top top of the
food chain, top and and he was saying that he
wanted a team to make sure that they were both
the head coach and the the head coach and the
owner were both on board like that. It wasn't you know,

(01:04:21):
one guy wants one guy, another guy wants the other guy,
and then the owner chooses what where do you think
that that process is at with the Carolina Panthers right now.
They I feel pretty confident that they knew who the
quarterbacks is going to be because they've been to the
Pro days, They've met with these guys privately, although the
only thing talking to them, I believe. I was told

(01:04:42):
that they're going to have those guys in for pre
draft visit. That'll be the last step. But I know
they were at the the Pro day workout. I know
they had probably meetings with them the night before. U
they've you know, they know these guys. They've they've they've
we're talking about the two. It comes down only two players,
Bryce Young and c J. Stroud and that's it. There's

(01:05:03):
no other consideration as I understand it. So I know
the rumors about Bryce Young, and if I was a
batting man, I probably would lean slightly towards Bryce Young
just because it comes from that program. But I know
that they I know that Scott Fitter the GM said
in an interview on Serious x M NFL Radio at
the owners meetings at he had not met with Frank

(01:05:24):
Reicht to go over. Okay, well, who's it going to be?
Because as I'm told, it's going to be collaborative. It's
gonna fitter or turn the card, and so to speak,
it will be his decision with a lot of input
and obviously Frank Reich the head coach, who I'm told
we'll initcheally call the plays, though down the road he
may give it up, which is, by the way, the
new thing now with these these head coaches who are
play callers are in their career. We saw this Brian

(01:05:46):
Dable and some others that Nick Sirianni surprisingly gave it up.
And it's during its first season. That's kind of a
new thing of this CEO head coach, like like Tom
Coughlin did. He was one of the guys to do
it earlier in his career. Hey, Adam, great stuff is
always man. We'll let you get back to the Masters
and whatever else you have going on. Today. And the
NBA playing a round, I cannot wait for it. I
actually liked it last year. I gotta be howesting it's

(01:06:07):
actually pretty exciting. Do you have a team? You got
an NBA squad? Uh? No, Well, I'll say I love
the Sixers, but I gotta tell you I love watching
this next team. They're they're so much better than they
were two years ago when they surprised people because they're deeper,
they're they're legit eight deep, maybe even nine, and they're
young and they're fun. They gotta get Randall's ankle ready.
But that that, that signing of m Brunson was phenomenal

(01:06:29):
and shame on the MAVs for not keeping them, no
doubt about that, and no doubt Adam, Well, we'll catch
up with you soon, Budhi guys, thank you, all right,
thank you. There he is Adam Kaplan, FSR NFL insider. Yeah,
we got a lot to do over here. Let's work
Monsey into the discussion first, and then, uh, I think
we have about nineteen topics we have to get to going.

(01:06:51):
Oh yeah, there's too much going on. I can barely
keep up with it. But the play in tournament has
been set. In the NBA in the West, the Lakers
ended as a seventh seed and they're gonna take on
the eighth seeded Timberwolves. Timberwolves drama continues. So they just
beat the Pelicans. Rudy Gobert was sent home in the

(01:07:11):
middle of the game because he took a swing at
his teammate Kyle Anderson, and the team just announced that
they are going to continue handling the situation internally. That's
not all. Jaden McDaniels apparently was seen punching a wall
on his way to the locker room at halftime. The

(01:07:31):
Timberwolves just announced that he suffered a broken hand. So
just number one. The Pelicans, who lost to the Timberwolves,
ended as the ninth seed in the West. They're gonna
take on the tenth seeded Thunder now. The Warriors ended
as the sixth seed. They're gonna play the Kings. The
Clippers ended as a fifth seed. They're gonna start the
playoffs against the Suns out of the East. The Heat

(01:07:52):
ended as a seventh seed. They're gonna play the Hawks
in the playing tournament. The Raptors ended as the ninth
seed and they're gonna take on the bull Two games
going on right now. In Major League Baseball, the Angels
were winning, not anymore. The Blue Jays are now on
top ten to six top of the eighth inning. The
Diamondbacks just having their way with the Dodgers sixteen hits.

(01:08:13):
They're up eleven to five top of the eighth inning
as well. In the final round at the Masters, still
going on John rom is at the top of the
leaderboard at twelve under par. Phil Mickelson is in second
place at eight under par. And of course, the breaking
news which you guys were just talking about, Odell Beckham
Junior posting on his Instagram that he is joining the

(01:08:33):
Baltimore Ravens NFL network, saying it's a one year deal
worth up to eighteen million. Back to you guys, Thank
you very much. Mozzy. It's Brian no and George Reister
with you here on Fox Sports Radio live from the
tirerack dot Com studios. Holy cow. So we got a
Jaden McDaniels punching a wall, breaking his hand. You know

(01:08:56):
in the showdown between the hand and the wall, it's
advantage hand all day. George, I don't get that, and
never I've never been able to make sense out of
that in my life. Why are we punching walls? Yeah,
So to recap with the Timberwolves, they won the game.
They end up an eighth place, so you avoid that

(01:09:16):
ninth place area where you have to win two games
to play yourself into the playoffs. So they won the
game today. That's good. But jade McDaniels broke his hand
punching a wall, and you had Rudy Gobert. He punched
a teammate and got sent home and they ended up
winning the game, George, but you lost basically two players

(01:09:36):
for the game and Jade McDaniels going forward because he's
got a broken hand. Not good. That's what is that?
Winning the battle but losing the war. I think that's
what happened with the Timberwolves here today. Oh yes, yeah, absolutely,
Brom Absolutely so. I don't understand, right, this makes no sense,

(01:10:00):
no sense, like why you would do this punch of
wall and then you got Rudy Gobert. This team is
in shambles. Yeah, this team is absolutely in shambles, bro
And they made an all in move when they traded
for Rudy Gobert. You're going all in with the draft

(01:10:21):
picks that you gave Utah, and this is where you're at.
You're breaking hands, punching teammates and you're winning a game
to just be in eighth place and be in the
play in stage. This was funny too. You get a
kick out of this, George. And we'll get to OBJ
in just a second. But with Draymond Green, Draymond when
he punched Jordan Pool right. A while ago, Rudy Gobert tweeted,

(01:10:46):
insecurity is always loud. So today, when Rudy Gobert punched
his teammate, Draymond Green tweeted insecurity is always loud. Just
came full circle right there. Very funny. I love that.
That was a good shade from a Draymond right there.
As you know, he had Rudy basically do the same thing,

(01:11:08):
and that was during a game what Rudy did not
during practice like Draymond. All right, we've got to get
into this whole O b J situation. Odell Beckham junior
deciding to go to the Baltimore Ravens instead of taking
a meeting with the Jets tomorrow. I've got thoughts on it.
I think it's a dumb decision for both Odell and

(01:11:30):
the Ravens. We'll dive into all of that here. George
right around the corner. I'm Brian, No, he's George Reister.
This is Fox Sports Radio, Dave. All the regular season
over Menil Lakers are now forty three thirty nine. That's
how ball ends up twenty three and eighteen at home,
twenty seven and twenty five against the West. I'm Brian, No,

(01:11:55):
he's George Reister here on Fox Sports Radio. That was
the Progressive Play the Day, brought to you by Progressive Insurance.

(01:12:16):
your Lakers, George, they get by the Utah Jazz and
they are in sole possession seventh place in the Western
Conference as they try to play their way on into
the playoffs. Here and also this was I thought this
was embarrassing. Now. This was after the Lakers beat the
Suns a couple of nights ago. And look, disclaimer, Lebron

(01:12:41):
gets nitpicked to death. I hate to be in the
nitpick community right here, but this is what he said
after the Lakers beat the Suns by fourteen the other night.
We turn this thing around, you know, in his regular season. Obviously,
something more basketball to be played, but to know that
we're gonna finish a few games above five hundred, it's

(01:13:03):
pretty cool. I don't know, George, I know you're a
Lakers guy, So this might fall on deaf ears, but
it's pretty cool that you're a couple of games over
five hundred. Really with the talent they have. I know
they've had a lot of injuries over there. I get it,
and they just clinched the seventh spot, But to be like,
pretty cool couple of games over five hundred, Like, Bro,

(01:13:23):
it'd be pretty cool if a team that doesn't have
nearly as much talent was a couple of games over
five hundred. If it's the Utah Jazz being a couple
of games over five hundred, not cool for the Lakers, Man,
I can't sign off on that one. You you salute it? Oh,
I do salute it. I want a hundred percent saluted.
Why why wouldn't i? I this is exactly where the

(01:13:46):
Lakers needed to be, exactly where they needed to be.
There was nothing about this team that was headed in
the right direction at all, nothing, and then and we
end up with them right there winning, making it to

(01:14:06):
the playoffs. Bro, this is absolutely awesome, absolutely awesome. I
don't know how you could look at it any other way.
I don't know, Like when you have Anthony Davis, not
like Anthony Davis played twenty games, you know, and not
like Lebron just played twenty games that they have a
good roster. So to make it sound like, oh man,

(01:14:27):
this is a mammoth accomplishment being a couple of games,
it was a big deal, Bro, It was a big deal. Nah,
how could you think any any other way? Well, just
because they underperformed for most of the season and then
they dug themselves out of the hole that they dug. No,
I'm not giving you roses for that. They never should

(01:14:49):
have dug team, Bro. It was a different team. Well,
I just saw the Clippers with Westbrook. They're they're okay,
they're all right. They haven't just to fall off the
cliff anywhere. To understand what different team means, Yes, I'm
well versed in that. Yes, yeah, I can understand that, George,
Yes exactly. So how are you going to blame this

(01:15:13):
Lakers team or even have some sort of you know,
angst against them for them playing some of the best
basketball in the whole league since the playoffs have been
over with, I'm sorry, since the trade deadline. They had
a team that didn't fit and they made it work.

(01:15:36):
Rob Polinka deserves a ton of credit. Yeah, you should
be thanking the Lakers. By the way, I went to
a MAV's Pacers game a couple of weeks ago, and
true story, the guy next to me, he looks at me,
he goes, you look like Rob Polinka, and then he
just went back and started watching the game. I was like, Oh, cool.

(01:15:57):
I guess I don't know if that's good or bad,
but yeah, now, no, I'm not giving your Lakers flowers
over there. Great, there are a couple of games over
five hundred awesome. That's outstanding. If that's the bar for
the Lakers, as talented as they are, I'd say that's
a sad, pathetic bar. That just me. You know, we'll
agree to disagree on that one. But how about this,
Odell Beckham Junior goes to the Baltimore Ravens. I think

(01:16:22):
it's a stupid decision by both. I think Odell going
to Baltimore. We don't even know if Lamar Jackson's going
to be the quarterback there. Maybe you know something that
we don't know, but I don't know how you could
know that for sure, Lamar might go elsewhere, Lamar might
sit out. If Lamar goes back for a year and
they don't come to a long term contract. You know,

(01:16:46):
they don't. They don't come to a compromise over there.
He might be gone after a year. So I know
Odell just signed a one year contract. I get that,
But for this to be a prove it deal and
Lamar might be your quarterback and he's got all these
injury issues, I don't like it for Odell. And from
the Raven standpoint, you're paying Odell like he's your one.

(01:17:07):
You think O'Dell is gonna be a one after two
ACL tears to the same knee. I don't think so.
I think the Jets would have been a much better
saw his workout. And the answer to your question is yes,
so he's a one. We got him right up there
with Justin Jefferson and some No, Okay, that's what it
means to be a one. He's nowhere. Nero, That's not

(01:17:27):
what it means to be a one, because you can
be a one without being the best, without being the
best player in the entire league. Let's let's let's look
at some ones, my friend, some guys who are actually
one wide receivers without being you know, Terry mclauren's a one.
He's a very good receiver like Odell's not Terry mcclaure.

(01:17:50):
I'm on Ross Saint Brown is a one. I'm on
rise of a very good receiver. Took Yeah, Mark Coop
were still that's where he's going to fit. Chris alive
A's a one? Are they making eighteen up to eighteen
million per season? We could play the contract thing contractual.

(01:18:12):
Erry McLaurin, r If we go contractually. I want to
compare him to all these ones that you have on
this list that you're unveiling here, perfect, no problem, can't
can't wait a little Bart Scott over there like cann't wait? Yeah,
can no. He is not a one. We're talking ones.
I'm talking upper echelon here. I'm talking that's not what

(01:18:37):
you said. You said a number one on his team?
I mean, is he who would you rather have? Is
who would you rather have? Oh? Dale Beckham Junior or
any of the wide receivers from from San Francisco. Oh
my gosh, I take Deebo. You are drinking. They are

(01:18:58):
getting They are gonna stop the show you now. So
he had a good workout and oh this guy, he's
gonna be what Pico down his story, says the man
is a dog. Yeah, history said that two ACL tears
ago and met a dog for a while, that he

(01:19:21):
was a dog his first three years with the Giants
with thirty five touchdown catches. I know his credentials from
when he was a dog. He's nowhere near that same
guy anymore. Wow. Wow, he is. Might not be the
same guy, but he's still going to be one of
the best wide receivers in the league. He will be

(01:19:42):
a top ten. He'll be a top ten in terms
of numbers, assuming that there's a quarterback. There's kind of important, right,
That's why this decision makes no sense. All right, we'll
circle back to this. We also have to get to
the Tampa Bay of the NBA and the Cowboys of
the AFC. Lots to do here. Oh, Happy Easter, everybody,

(01:20:04):
Hope you're enjoying your Sunday here. Lots going on, the
masters coming down the stretch. Odell Beckham Junior, a member
of the Baltimore Ravens. We will get to all that
good stuff and beyond. We're broadcasting live from the ti
irac dot com studios. Ti irac dot com will help
get you there an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free
road hazard protection and over ten thousand recommended installers ti

(01:20:27):
irac dot com. The way tire buying should be looks
like old rom Nation. Over here, John Ram heading down
the stretch her final two holes, late push by Brooks Kepka.
He's birdie three the last four holes, but rom still
has a three stroke lead. He'd have to completely fall
apart like the Lakers the first half of the season

(01:20:48):
to not be the Master's Champion. I'm sorry, George, that
was a cheap Who do you cheer for? Balls? Man?
Always been a Bulls guy? Oh ha ha, what is that? Wait?
Is that just the nineties with them Jay and when
they were at their peak still thirty five years ago?

(01:21:09):
Thirty years ago? Yeah, you gotta stay true a little
over twenty five, twenty five years How dare you quarters?
That's funny? You're a Bulls fan and then have any audacity?
I mean, like you you have the nerve to fix
your face to talk about my Lakers. Oh, I absolutely do.

(01:21:29):
If the Bulls had the type of talent your Lakers
do and their star players like pretty pretty cool, pretty cool.
We're a couple of games over five hundred since Michael
Jordan won his last title. I guess how many titles
the Lakers have won. Well, they've won three, four, five? Yeah, nope,
that six two thousand and two. You got the three peat.

(01:21:55):
Oh I forgot, Sorry, I forgot the COVID year. I
forgot the COVID year. The yes, he's got the Bubble Championship.
I wasn't exacting. Yeah, banners go up, So six championships.
I love that. I don't want to turn this into
MJ versus Lebron, but the the audacity for people like
you to argue Lebron and you just lump in the

(01:22:17):
bubble Championship as if there's a real one right there.
But whatever, whatever that is one? What are you talking about? Whatever?
How can you not call that a real championship? Win
for no travel, no travel, no road arenas. That totally
helped them out. And there well all role players shot

(01:22:39):
like they were superstars. It was a hard place to win.
Uh huh, but helped them out more than any other
team no travel in the bubble. You can't deny that. No,
I helped them out. The Bis do not. I do
not subscribe to that flaw line of thinking. But okay, well, uh,
in any event, here we got what's going on, because

(01:23:01):
we've got Kepka. He's coming down the stretch. But it's
gonna be too little, too late, George, as Rom looks
to take it on in. We will keep you updated
on the Masters. Also this Odell Beckham Junior going to
the Jets here, I think the Jets. I'm sorry, Odell
Beckham Junior going to the Baltimore Ravens instead of the Jets.

(01:23:23):
He had a meeting Odell did set for tomorrow with
the Jets, and then the news breaks today. No, no, no,
not going to the Jets meeting. He's a member of
the Baltimore Ravens. So first things first, what do you
think about most likely Odell Beckham Junior probably having Lamar

(01:23:44):
Jackson as his quarterback this season, although we have to
wait and see how this shakes itself out. Maybe Lamar
is the guy for twenty twenty three, We don't know yet.
Do you like that better than most likely going to
the Jets and Aaron Rodgers being his quarterback for one year?
Don't I don't get this decision at all from Odell,
and things aren't all equal. George. Put it this way,

(01:24:07):
he wouldn't be making as much money with the Jets.
That's significant, and he would be the second guy. Garrett
Wilson is your It is a little bit perplexing, but
I do think that this does bode well for for
Lamar Jackson coming back because it's truthfully, this may have

(01:24:27):
been one of his demands. It's to get me some whiteouts.
That could have I mean, people are missing out on
that part of the negotiation is that this may not
have been even about the money anymore. This may have
been about get me some dudes, get me some guys.

(01:24:48):
Don't don't just set me out there with any old
thing and just be like, hey, hey, O'Dell get her done.
Don't send me out there with Bateman. Huh. I think
it's both. I think it's both. He wants his cash,
which is understandable, although he's asking for way too much
based on being injured. His injuries are up, his numbers
are down. It's a terrible time to ask for somewhere

(01:25:10):
around a fully guaranteed contract like Deshaun Watson. Horrible timing, awful.
But uh, you know, he's asking for cash, and I
agree with you. I think he's also asking for but
a better supporting casts though all of those are assumptions
what he's asking for. He may be asking for a
fully guaranteed deal, but he also may have been willing

(01:25:30):
to take what, uh like a Kirk Cousins three or
four year fully guaranteed deal. Hey, maybe, but we know
he's asking for a pile of cash. Whether it's five years, everybody,
all of them, it's a pilot. Every quarterback is gonna
Joe Joe Burrow when when he gets his new contract

(01:25:53):
and Herbert, they're gonna be asking for dump trucks. Fully
they Well, the difference is they're worth it. That's the
differst your mind. I haven't lost my mind at all.
The last two years. You think Jackson or Jackson is
not worth the money, But hell no, he's not worth
that type of money. Let's go down the bullet points
over here. Thirty three touchdowns in twenty interceptions the last

(01:26:14):
two years, nowhere close to an MVP level. Yet everybody says, well,
he was an MVP yeah in twenty nineteen, four years ago.
I don't care about that right now. It's all about
the here and now. Injuries. He's been banged up. His
injuries of ruined the last two seasons for the Ravens.
He's missed eleven games in two years, including the playoff
game that he didn't play in. Like that, that's what
we're looking at with Lamar. I don't know what it

(01:26:36):
is with the people that defend this guy as if
he's been playing at an MVP level his whole time
in his career. He played for one year at an
extraordinary level. He was outstanding in twenty nineteen. His teams win,
and they go to the playoffs every year. Every year
that he starts to finish as a season, they go
to the playoffs. He saved John Harball's job. I like

(01:26:59):
the call of fire there. Every time he starts and
finishes the season, he's in the playoffs, unlike a couple
of years ago when he didn't finish the season and
they didn't make the playoffs. Like he's always been around
for four years, five five, five. He's played part of
his rookie season. But I'm telling you, like fifth year

(01:27:21):
in the league. No, it's okay, it's okay, it's fine.
He didn't start. He started seven games his rookie season.
If you want to count, that is a full season,
be my guest. A certain at the at the end
of his career. He will have a credited season in
the box for that buddy credited season. You are right
toward the pension and all of that type of stuff. Yes,

(01:27:44):
as a starting quarterback. No, if you're not giving me
double digit starts, you know, it's four full seasons minus
the last two where he was so then so, then
how many seasons has has Jimmy Garoppolo played? Then? Oh,
I have to go back and look, because Jimmy, he's
a oneking medicine cabinet as well. One full seasons. George,

(01:28:05):
I don't know why you're like the little brother over here,
like you want to argue about everything. Seasons so full season,
so how many so and so by your qualifier, Jimmy
Garoppolo is has played three years in the in the NFL,
he's been in the league since twenty fourteen, and he's

(01:28:26):
got three seasons. No, Like, here's the thing, George, I'm
just saying here here, here, here's the litten full okay,
f ulll full seasons he's got in that full no no, no,
sorry sorry, and that in that case, he's giving you
two too. He got to double digit starts last year,

(01:28:47):
so I give him three full seasons. But yeah, been
Mark Jackson got three what he got, the three full
he got? He got that yet four exactly? Yeah, four
full seasons again, And what I said three minutes ago,
I was just going by your qualifier. And Jimmy Garoppolo
has been in the league's his twenty fourteen has three

(01:29:09):
yeah exactly, He's got three full seasons. Lamar's got four
full seasons. Like anyway you slice it, the dude gets
banged up way too often. So this idea that it
makes sense to ask for a fully guaranteed contract, whether
it's three or five years, is insane. It's insanity, okay.
And Christian McCaffrey's he's worth the money then, Uh who

(01:29:31):
brought up Christian McCaffrey a running back? I'm just saying
you is you're talking about all these guys in full seasons. Okay,
come on, man, anytime you step out there, it is
hard in the NFL. I will not let you slander
this man's name. Okay, all right, So if you're Odell
Beckham Junior, you're not thinking about that. You're not thinking

(01:29:52):
about all right. Aaron Rodgers has been You can't bank
on the yard to get hurt, bro What is wrong? No, no, no, no,
I'm not banking you know on that, but I'm considering it.
If I'm Odell Beckham Junior and I'm weighing this thing out,
I'm looking at who's my quarterback? And if I look
and say, well, Lamar might be the guy. And even
if he is there in twenty twenty three in Baltimore,

(01:30:14):
how healthy is the guy gonna be? That doesn't cross
your mind at all? Oh gosh, I don't know why
you wouldn't think about that. Why would you not? This
is a prove it year for Odell Beckham Junior. What
he does statistically is going to impact his dollars and
cents next year directly. Why would you not think about that?

(01:30:39):
I don't know why you like, you can't bank on
a player getting hurt or not getting hurt because you
do not know. It is a It is literally a
crapshoot from year in and year out. Crap shoot. Well,

(01:31:01):
hey man, it's been snake guys the last two years
for Lamar Jackson. Just some crazy coincidence can't be explained,
has nothing to do with the style of play whatsoever.
I just I don't know. Shrug your shoulders one of
those things. We can't explain it whatsoever. Like, that's not
the situation at all. Wow. Wow, I don't even know

(01:31:22):
what to make it. You know, the constant trying to
discredit players who are out there, the men in the arena.
Oh man, I don't know how I gotta bank on
whether how many games I'm gonna figure that Lamar is
going to play? No, I mean, you can't bank on anybody.

(01:31:44):
All these quarterbacks have been hurt and missed time. You
can't bank on it because a bad fall, somebody falling
on your collar bone. I mean, would would you have
wanted to be Aaron Rodgers wide out last year? No,
there's about fifteen quarterbacks that you would have rather had
than Aaron Rodgers last year. Who is your quarterback? Do

(01:32:05):
you want Aaron Rodgers for a year or do you
want Lamar for a year? Honest question? At this point,
it's a crapshoot. Gotta either one of them, dudes, is it? Yes? Okay,
we're talking about MVP so much with Lamar. We've got
Aaron Rodgers, who's a four time MVP two of the

(01:32:25):
last three years. Yeah, last year you saw him with
receivers that that Lamar Jackson would be like, Man, who
are these scrubs that you got working with? Thought bad?
It was over there year one with these rookies in
Green Bay. It was not star studded. You went from
you went from Davante Adams to rookies galore. And and

(01:32:52):
it's funny too, because yeah, but the problem is is
that it was Aaron Rodgers fault. It was fault if
you look at it. It's funny too because if you
look at Aaron Rodgers season last year, so it was
a down year, there's no doubt about that. But twenty
six touchdowns, twelve interceptions, that's like in the neighborhood basically

(01:33:18):
of what Lamar has done the last two years combined,
he's at thirty three touchdowns twenty picks. Like it's trending
toward being exactly that. And all we did was crush
Aaron Rodgers. This guy stinks what's happened to him? And
yet we're talking about Lamar making guaranteed money. It's insane.
It's freaking insane. It makes no sense at all. Listen,

(01:33:41):
I just know that Aaron Rodgers last season, he could
have helped himself tremendously by showing up to the offseason
program by making sure that he had the opportunity to
help his wide receiver evers get better, and he didn't

(01:34:05):
do that. So I'm not gonna give the dude a
whole lot of credit for a situation that he put
himself in. Hey man, I get that, and that's totally fair.
I agree with that. But Aaron Rodgers did play seventeen
games last season. I can't say the same thing about
Lamar Jackson. And so with Odell Beckham Junior going to

(01:34:25):
the Ravens instead of taking his meeting tomorrow with the Jets,
we're looking at the very realistic possibility of Lamar Jackson
being his quarterback for one year instead of Aaron Rodgers
being his quarterback for one year. And it wouldn't be
the same role with both teams. Lamar right now is
wide receiver one. He wouldn't be wide receiver one with

(01:34:47):
the Jets, but I would still I would not be
surprised at all if Odell put up better numbers his
wide receiver two with the Jets and Aaron Rodgers than
wide receiver one with the Ravens. With Lamar Jackson, assuming
he's the guy and not knowing injury wise, if he's
going to hold up, which he's been unable to do
the last two seasons. That's not being negative, no, or

(01:35:10):
taking shots at Lamar. Those are just facts. He's been
banged up the last two years. He's been banged up
a lot in his NFL career, and a lot of
it has to do with the style of play. Like
that's just the bottom line. And if I'm a wide receiver,
I'm absolutely weighing that. Listen, his style of play will
continue to evolve. You gotta remember he's only twenty six

(01:35:32):
years old. He's going to get better, and he's gotten
better as a passer, and it is time for the
last step in that maturation, which which is what you'll
see this year. Okay, all right, I'm waiting for it,
my popcorn, ready waiting for this mature version of Lamar
in Baltimore. Maybe maybe throwing to Odell Beckham Junior. We'll

(01:35:55):
see how it unfolds. All right, coming up next. We
got a lot to do here, George. I'm still looking
for something that we agree on. I don't know if
we're gonna find it in today's show. Might not happen.
But um, you know this the Tampa Bay of the
NBA to check another box here on something we disagree about. Well,
was some fun with that coming up. I'm Brian, though,

(01:36:16):
he's George Reister. Keep it locked right here on Fox
Sports Radio. I'm Brian, No, he's George Reister. You're on
Fox Sports Radio, coming to you live from the tire
rack dot com studios as John Rom has brought it home, Romstein,
if you will, rom Nation. John Rom wins the twenty
twenty three Masters, and he wanted comfortably here at George

(01:36:41):
kind of gave the people's elbow to Brooks Keepka as
you said, wilting in the snow and the snow in
the sun here. You know, as you're very critical, very
critical of these great athletes over here, George or Brooks
Keepka or he's out there doing his best and he's
he's wilting under the sun. So it's okay. I try

(01:37:02):
to uplift these great athletes. You know, you're taking shots
at them. But that's all right, that's okay. John Ram,
what a job, What a way to go out there.
He wins the Masters first time, getting a green jacket
his second major he had won the US Open previously,
so his second major here as he is a Master's
champion for the first time. Job well done, John Ram.

(01:37:26):
The job will done. Run John Ram. I mean, this
is a big deal, dude, and he's the number one
golfer in the world. Just keeps on winning and winning
and winning. It's actually, it's actually pretty damn cool. I
actually am rooting for this to continue because I want dominance.

(01:37:46):
I want a dominant golfer the way we can tune
in and be like, can anybody meet John Ram? Yeah? Well,
and then he'd live up to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
John Ram for the day minus three Brooks Keepka for
the day final round, I should say plus three. So
they finished their third round earlier today, but just for

(01:38:09):
the final round. Um Brooks Brooks kepka. He did, he
wilted in, John Ram. He got it done. So very
nicely done. Now, speaking of that, can a team get
it done here? How about the Golden State Warriors. So
Golden State they're a sixth seed. They clinched it today
they beat the Blazers by nine hundred points, saying what

(01:38:33):
they literally Blazers today they win what was it officially?
It was one. Let's see one fifty seven to one
oh one. Good wow. Unbelievable but um interesting quote from
Clay Thompson here he said, I don't see a team

(01:38:54):
who can beat us in a seven game series when
we're healthy. It is what he said, which to me, Look,
he's an athlete. You got to be supremely confident as
an athlete. I get all of that, but there's no
team that can beat the Warriors if the Warriors are
fully healthy. There's not a team that the Bucks can't
do it. Celtics can't do it, and think the Suns

(01:39:17):
forgetting team that can that can if they are fully healthy.
I believe the Bucks are the only team that can
beat them. Andrew Wiggins will be back, and if he's
playing at anything close to a reasonable level, then then
by the second series, oh he'll be couchee. They will

(01:39:39):
be a problem for whoever gets in front of them,
and everybody should be afraid. The Warriors are ripe for
the playoff picking. That's the reality here. They've told us
all season long. They cannot be trusted, can't win on
the road. They're eleven and thirty on the road, they're

(01:39:59):
a sixty. They don't have home court advantage here. They're
eleven and thirty on the road. They don't play great defense,
not even close to the way they did when they
were at their peak. They're not even close to that level.
So I think that they are the Tampa Bay of
the NBA meeting George. If you go back to Tampa
Bay's season, where the last one with Tom Brady, they

(01:40:20):
reminded us all season long, don't trust us. Even though
we've got the players, We're just not good. Our offensive
line isn't working very well. We can't run the ball.
We just can't win on the road. We can't be trusted.
We're eight and nine over the course of the season,
we're up five hundred and Yet when the playoffs rolled
around here, the people came running up. It's Tom Brady,

(01:40:41):
It's the goat, like, let's go. We can't bet on Dallas.
That's the way it is with Golden State. I give
them one series win max one max. They're not getting
to the Western Conference Finals. They're not surviving the second round,
assuming they even get there. I'm even sure they're gonna
be the is the way that they play on the road,

(01:41:02):
hold hold on time out, time out of time out.
So what you're telling me is you believe that the
Golden State Warriors the defining, defending Golden State Warriors. Yep,
that they So do you believe that they will beat
the Sacramento Kings. They might squeak by a team that
plays no horrible defense and doesn't don't get they might

(01:41:25):
say they might. I don't know, they might squeak. I
could be definitive picks. I'm not sure. I'm not sure
they're gonna go. So I don't know. I don't know.
We got a lack of experience with the Kings. They
don't defend that. That's how you make a take the answer. Yes,
I don't know that they are. I'm not sure. So
why aren't we listening to you if you don't know anything? Wait? Wait,

(01:41:46):
I'm supposed to know. I'm supposed to be clear void
about every single series. They want you to pick, what
do you believe is most likely to happen the Warriors
win or the Kings win. Bo Benson, our trusted producer,
has something on this. Bo, what are you thinking? Um?
Correct me if I'm wrong. But the Warriors are the
sixth seed, right, Yes, so that means they have to

(01:42:09):
go on the road more than they get to play
at home. That's right. So the Warriors won eleven games
on the road the seed, yea, yea. The other part
of that, the other part of it. And I'm not
I'm not convinced that adding Andrew Wiggins is going to
fix that horrible number. And not not only just adding

(01:42:31):
Andrew Wiggins, but also adding um but also adding uh,
Gary Peyton the second because their defense was a problem.
So for a team that was atrocious on the road,
right after they got Gary Peyton the second back, oh one, two, three, four,

(01:42:52):
they won four out of their last five road road games.
Oh so you're telling me that they had only single
digit road wins until that point, correct, until until until Monday,
March twenty year. And they beat the Blazers today, which
is one of their impressive roads. Hey, bro, they were
they were losing to everybody in their mama on the road.

(01:43:13):
It didn't And they beat the Kings who are resting
all of their good players a couple of days prior, right, listen,
wins On, they were Oh, I'm not doing that. They
were losing on the road. Hey, they beat the Spurs.
Managing teams George, I take it all back. They beat
the Spurs is one of their wins on the well, actually,
I take that day that was at home, thank you

(01:43:36):
at home. That wasn't even on the road exactly. Why, Yeah,
they're not they trusted on the road, George. You know
what they are. They are a team that has a
reputation that is much better than the current reality that's
the Warriors. Okay. All I know is is when they
get there, is that when Andrew Wiggins and Gary Payton

(01:43:59):
a second or a lineup. Uh huh, it's going to
be a problem to the problem of to what how
far are they going to advance in the playoffs? Here, George,
worst case in the worst case scenario, worst case finals.
No way, they're not gonna make it. What's the bet?
What do you want to put on it? They're not
making the Western Conference finals. I need a steak up
out of you, homie. I haven't even got my grapefruit,

(01:44:22):
and you want a steak. Great fruit, you know, damn
great fruit. You owe me a great I want I
want a steak. I just um on on break today.
My wife brought me in a steak from Marson's. Uh huh.
So I yeah, and that thing. How much? How much
are these steaks you're talking about, because you're mister Rolex

(01:44:43):
over there. How crazy are we talking here with the
steaks a nice Bonian ribby for about sixty nine? Oh,
that's what you're on. Absolutely on. I give you two steaks,
you know, Warriors. That's how confident. I'll give you two
steaks to my one steak. I'm praise God. Yes, yeah,

(01:45:04):
I'm crazy like that. Yeah. Yeah. The Warriors are not
making the Western Conference. They bet their reputation. They're They're
a team that doesn't defend and can't win on the road.
That's the reality of where they are right here, right now.
Oh and I got a quote for you, bro from
the Minnesota President of basketball Operations, Tim Connerley. Okay, on

(01:45:26):
Rudy Gobert yep quote. We made the decision to send
Rudy Gobert home after the incident in the second quarter.
His behavior on the bench was unacceptable, and we will
continue handling the situation internally, though, like the the send
home and the and the unacceptable, Like when it when

(01:45:49):
it comes out and people are that critical of you,
it ain't good, bro. You he will at least get
at least two games from the NBA. No, no from
his own team team. Yeah, okay, we'll see. I've got
some great audio for you around the corner here. First, though,

(01:46:09):
let's get to our favorite here, Moncy Bolanos. Who has
the latest? What's going on? Moncy? All right? So the
Angels are playing the Blue Jay's bottom of the tenth
inning in LA, basses loaded. Mike Trout was just batting.
He gets walked, so they scored one run. Who's next,
Shoho Tani. They're down to their final out and the

(01:46:32):
Angels are down by one basses loaded. That's what's happening
right now in LA. The Padres have an early lead
against the Braves, one zero, top of the second inning.
Why do you sound my car? Earlier today in Major
League Baseball victories for the Reds the Red Sox, the
Pirates took on the White Sox. They won. The benches
did clear after a collision at home plate between shortstop

(01:46:55):
O'Neil Cruz and catcher Serbizavalla. I didn't think it was
a dirty play, but it did come out that Cruz
did suffer a fractured ankle in that collision. The Yankees
beat the Orioles, Aaron Judge hit two homers in the victory.
Also victories four the Marlins, the Diamondbacks, the Astros, the Burs,
the Rangers, the Rockies, the Giants, and the Guardians. But

(01:47:17):
going back to Rudy Gobert for a hot second, so
he tweeted when Draymond Green, when video came out of
Draymond Green and that whole thing with Jordan Poole, Rudy
Gobert tweeted, insecurity is always loud, and so Draymond Green
has tweeted insecurity is always loud. This happened at the

(01:47:39):
same time when that video came out of him in
Jordan Pool Right. Woach of ESPN gave us a little
bit more details as to what happened. So this verbal
argument turned physical after Kyle Anderson told Rudy Gobert shut
the you know what up rhymes with which the disagreement

(01:48:01):
started with Anderson telling Gobert to block some shots, then
Gobert telling him to grab a rebound, and it ended
with a punch. Apparently, he has already sent a text
to his teammates apologizing and Mike Conley said that they'll
speak about it and move on. That they're grown men.
So that is the latest with Rudy Gobert. You're gonna

(01:48:23):
you're telling me, you're telling me that the Timberwolves are
gonna are going to play. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
That they are gonna hit him with a one gamer.
There's no way the rolex right now, you're yeah, there's
no way they have to play the Lakers in the plan. Listen,

(01:48:45):
there's no way after losing Jaden McDaniels to a broken hand. Yeah,
it really, honestly, it depends on how many problems they've
been having with him in the locker room. I mean, yeah,
put a steak on it. Put a steak on it,
on top of a rolex. Yeah, I want I want
to know. I want an eggplant, not a steak. I
want an eggplant in the roll. Looks that's what I want.

(01:49:06):
That's what tip the server, Tip the server exactly exactly.
John John Rahm is walking away. They give him a
green jacket right for the Masters. That's what you get. Oh,
so he's got his green jacket. He won the twenty
twenty three Masters by four strokes, and what else do
we have? We have so much going on today, But
Oh yeah, Odell Beckham Jr. He's not meeting with the

(01:49:26):
Jets tomorrow. He's going to Baltimore Ravens one year, eighteen million, guys,
it's been fun. Back to you. Thank you, Monsey, Brian
though and George Reister with you here on Fox Sports Radio.
Come in to you live from the tire rack dot
com studios. So it's some funny audio from woj ESPN's
Adrian or Janowski. He was explaining George what led to

(01:49:50):
Rudy Gobert punching his teammate Kyle Anderson. Check this out.
I'm told that the back and forth was about first
Anderson telling Rudy Gobert, Hey, why don't you block some shots?
Gobert telling him, why don't you grab a rebound? And
then it escalated from there, Yeah, okay, hey, why don't

(01:50:10):
you block some shots? Hey, why don't you go get
a rebounder two? And then whack right into the chest,
Rudy Gobert punches his teammate Kyle Anderson. You know, if
Kyle Anderson threw a punch back, George, do you think
it would be like a slow punch. He's named slow
Mo for a reason. He does it looks like slow motion.
Do you think it'd be like a quick you know,

(01:50:32):
quick jab or would be like the slowest no coming.
He doesn't do anything in full speed. So that thing
coming back in in you know, uh in in three
to five business days. Man. You remember remember when Will
Smith played Muhammad Ali in the movie Ali. Yeah, and

(01:50:54):
he was talking about George Foreman. He's like, here comes
the left, Here comes the right, like he's you know,
making fun of him having a slow delivery. That would
be Kyle Anderson. Here he comes the left. Yeah. I
don't think he would win many fights. You can't win
fights in slow motion, there, George. It's not a good
huh fact, Jack, Yeah. Did you see the video of

(01:51:16):
Jaden McDaniels punching the wall. There's a reason why he
broke his hand, George, I don't need to see idiocy
bro liked. You gotta see it, man, because he didn't
just it wasn't one of those like the I don't know,
like the backside of your hand where you kind of
just like smack it with the side of your hand.
He reared back and it was almost like a right

(01:51:37):
cross to the wall and fracture fractured hand right there,
Jaden McDaniel, Oh, yes, good news. The Angels lost today? Yes,
And George, I try to prop up these athletes and
these teams, like just criticizing them and taking shots at them.
How dare you they were trying hard today, George? No,

(01:52:00):
I'm not saying any work they were trying to do.
They scored eleven runs. That is a valiant effort. Yeah.
But you know what, though, take this huh another loss?
Because as long as the Angels missed the playoffs and
then on the days when show Hay is pitching, don't

(01:52:22):
give him very much run run support. I could not
be anymore happy, bro, because because you know what that means? Right?
What's that? Oh? God, where's he gonna play next season? Who? Who? Show? Hey? Yep, nah,
I don't know who? What team? Do you root for?
The Dodgers? It'll be a Dodger? Then at least you

(01:52:45):
know that's where you're going with it. Here's one thing
we might be able to agree on. Okay, you're saying
another loss. Reminded me of DJ Khaled saying another one. Right, George,
meet me on this one. Can we please get this
man's name right? He shouts himself, out in every hit song.

(01:53:06):
It's not DJ Called, which a lot of people say,
it's DJ Khalid. Can we please get that right? Can?
Would that be the one thing we agree on today? George,
I don't even know what you're talking about? Right, Oh
my gosh, how is this a debate? Everybody knows what
the answer to this question is. What's that is? DJ called? Yes,

(01:53:29):
That's what I'm saying is a lot of people mispronounce
his name and say DJ Called. It's like, no know
where those people are because I've never seen those people.
You're looking in the wrong spots. Over here. There's a
video of Patrick Mahomes just doing this with quote unquote
DJ called. It happens, happens a lot, George, he is

(01:53:53):
he's even less cool than we originally thought. That's right,
all right? Coming up next, which is a bigger joke
what the team did or what the league is doing.
That's on the way. I'm Brian No. He's George Reister.
Keep it locked right here on Fox Sports Radio. I'm
Brian No. He's George Reister here on Fox Sports Radio,

(01:54:14):
coming to you live from the Tirak dot com studios. So, George,
simple question, which is a bigger joke. Is it what
the Dallas Mavericks did, resting all of their starters, pulling
Luca don Chich like less than a minute into the
second quarter, losing to the Bulls, eliminated from the playoffs.

(01:54:35):
They did that to keep their their top ten pick.
Robian Nightbenian Night. We cannot leave that part out, Okay,
So they let Luca play for the quarter and a
little bit and then they pulled him out of the
game and he got a nice ovation and all of that.
Is it what the Dallas Mavericks did, or is it
what the league is doing by launching a probe? That's

(01:54:59):
what they're launching a probe to see if everything was
done properly. And this is I think it's a bigger
joke what the league is doing. Like George, No, No,
this is simple love what the league is doing. As
long as they punished him, that's the thing. It's their
first round pick. You don't have to launch a probe.

(01:55:19):
That's the thing. We know what happened. They rested their guys.
They're trying to keep their draft pick. It's pretty easy
to figure that out and take all it's down to,
is are you going to draft pick. Yeah, that's all
it is is are you going to punish them? But
also this, I mean this is literally this is like
everybody on the highway is driving fifteen twenty miles per

(01:55:42):
hour over the speed limit, and you have the NBA.
They're like the police officer that says, uh, I'm just
gonna pull over this one car. You know what I mean. Like,
if you've got the Pacers resting their stars, the Blazers
resting their stars, you've got many teams teams resting their
star players, and the Blazers being so blatant about so blatant,

(01:56:06):
and now you're gonna lunch a probe to see if
the MAVs did something improper. It's a total joke what
the NBA is doing. I love it as long as
they do something and this doesn't turn out to be, oh, yeah,
we did an investigation, Like nobody cares about your fake investigation.

(01:56:27):
We want answers, we want we want punishment. Yeah, that's
what I'm saying. I think we're saying the same thing
two different ways. I'm saying, if you find out that
they did something improper, quote unquote, then punish them. Well, like,
are you gonnah? That's it. Their biggest crime was talking
about it in the postgame press conference, like that was

(01:56:49):
the that's where the stupidity lied. You're like, hold up,
so you just go sit here and admit this in
the press conference. So if that's what you're gonna do,
you get what you get. Well, that was what Jason
Kidd was doing, the head coach. He was like, Hey,
it's an organizational decision. This is what Mark Cuban and
the GM nico what they came up with. I'm just

(01:57:11):
the messenger. So yeah, yeah, it's a little different. At
least the Blazers aren't stupid enough and the Pacers aren't
stupid enough to put it out there of like it's
an organizational decision. They don't have the sound bite, but Trailblazers.
Everybody has these ordiness. Yeah, everybody, everybody's hurt. I wish
someone would put hang nail, you know, is the reason

(01:57:31):
they're out of the game right there. No, we we
used to make a joke at this place I worked at.
We should say, oh, oh yeah, yeah, he's got a
fever in his foot. I like it. And by the way,
Dallas lost to the Spurs today, And how about this,

(01:57:53):
Dallas got outscored in the first quarter. George forty two
to fourteen against the Spur is putting NBA rosters out
there like these are these are you know, men's league
uh rosters? Did you see this? Greg Popovich, Spurs head coach.

(01:58:17):
A reporter asked him before the game, said, Pop what
are you most excited about going into today's game? He said,
the season will be over after forty eight minutes, is
what Pop said, and the Spurs ended up beating the
ragtag resting Dallas Mavericks. I mean, what a joke. That
team has been um as far as after the trade

(01:58:39):
and plummeting out of the playoffs. It's been a disaster
over there. But no need for a probe. You just
either punished Dallas or you don't. But this idea, we
got to find out what's going on. You no, you don't.
You know exactly what's going on here. It doesn't take
a rocket scientist to figure that out. By the way,
I've dug up the Mahomes audio here George of him

(01:59:00):
mispronouncing DJ Khalid. You ready for this, here's your guy,
Patrick Mahomes on Jimmy Kimmel through I'm telling you there
are a lot of it. Here's Grant Hill does a
great job during March madness. Here's Grant Hill doing the
same thing. It's callid man. He shouts himself out every song.

(01:59:21):
I'm not gonna sit sit sit here, and and and
Nippick that bro what No, every song DJ Khalid, it's
not called good Lord George. I hope everybody has a
great Easter and a fantastic evening. We'll catch you soon.
