Speaker 3 (03:15):
Hey, RB White players, what's up everybody?

Speaker 6 (03:20):
I'm David Grubb and welcome to another week of classic
hits on the MLB Bro Show podcast.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
The mixtape Shoe.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
Halo Tiny was the leading vote getter for the American
League All Stars and why not. He's hitting over three hundred,
he leads the majors at home runs. It's time for
first and RBI. Andy's in the top ten in the
American League and earned run average and strikeouts. We've never
seen anything like him. He breaks the mold of what
we think of baseball. Player is supposed to look like,
play like be like it wasn't that long ago that

(03:46):
another man did the same thing.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
It was in nineteen eighty six.

Speaker 6 (03:49):
After winning the Heisman Trophy there Bo Jackson, the greatest
college football player in America and one of the greatest
athletes the world has ever seen, decided to pass when
the NFL and played baseball his first and greatest love.
Whatever story is the myths you've heard about Jackson, they're
probably true. Stuff like being so good in high school
that he won his state the cathalon championship and back
to back years and only had to compete in nine

(04:11):
events because he scored so many points. When he hit
twenty home runs in twenty five games as a senior,
you draw people's attention.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
After telling him, the Yankees know in that year's draft.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
He went on to his legendary football career at Auburn,
but he never left the diamond behind. Because of football,
he only played ninety college baseball games, and in those
he had twenty eight home runs, seventy rbi and ninety
runs scored while hitting over three thirty three.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
He killed it on track and field, two hurdles, discus, javelin.
He could do it all.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
He talked about speed four point one three in the
forty so why play baseball? No one thought bow would
turn down the NFL for struggling in the miners figured
out how to hit the curveball, but he did. He
was drafted by the Kansas City Orls in the fourth round,
and in June thirtieth, nineteen.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Eighty six, he made his debut with the Memphis Chicks.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
And the coincidence the big bringing out party was during
his first All Star Game, where he let off the
game of the home run and won MVP. That game
was played in Anahu, where Tani now rules for the Angels.
People love to pay the picture that baseball players are
anything but athletes, but Bo Jackson, Shohia Tani, and many
many more have shown us over the years that baseball

(05:19):
is home to some of.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
The greatest talents than any sport will ever see. I'm
David grew up. This has been classic hits. Now back
to the mix, going deep with og Mark Gray.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
Aaron Hicks played with the Baltimore Orioles, was given the
New York Yankees Sellers remorse and it's no wonder It's
the MLB. Og Mark Gray and I'm going deep for
the mixtape. The New York Yankees released Aaron Hits with
three years and thirty million dollars left on his contract
in May, but now he's on fire with the Birds.

(05:55):
He was more productive in his first month with the
Orioles while taking over in centerfield due to the croyin
injury for Cedric Mullins. An All Star then. He'd been
for the Yankees since twenty eighteen, when he had an
eight thirty three ops and hit twenty seven bombs, but
clearly he wasn't the same player and the boogie down

(06:17):
after his Tommy John surgery in twenty nineteen. But in
his first seventeen games since hitting Charms City, Hicks featured
a stat line with a knops of ten forty eight,
which doubled his five to twenty four ops in twenty
eight games he had played with the Yankees. To open
the season, Hicks was routinely boomed by Yankee fans and

(06:39):
showing the door. But the Orioles will visit Yankee Stadium
early next month with the veteran outfield to try and
to prove that his turnaround is no fluke. So the
New York Post asked manager Aaron Boom to reevaluate things
that they did which might have gotten hits on track,

(07:00):
quoting Boom, you do wonder what you could have done differently.
You always think that when something doesn't work out, we
bet on talent. So we know he's a talent to God,
and boy are they missing him with gian Carlos Stanton
struggling and Aaron Judge hurting real bad. It's your boy,

(07:22):
Mark Great the MLB og and I'm giving it to
you on the mixtape.

Speaker 8 (07:31):
It's the Black Age, It's the Black Age.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
What's up everybody?

Speaker 9 (07:44):
This is justin Patruley with the Black a support on
the MLB Bro Show podcast mixtape. Here's where you get
the latest on the Melanie Mount Marauders course, shopping precision
and popping out all across the big leagues. So let's
check the report. Marcus Struman finally showed good is a
being human. After winning seven consecutive starts, the stroke show
was not his usual self on June twenty fifth against

(08:06):
the Saint Louis Cardinals in London.

Speaker 10 (08:08):
He only went.

Speaker 9 (08:09):
Three and a third innings, giving up eight hits six runs.
Three of emerged and picked up the loss. His era
went up to two point four to seven and is
now nine to five on the year. Even with the start,
Stroman looks to seemingly be a lock for this year's
off Star Game. Taiwan Walker one is fourth started in
a row, this time beating his former team in the
New York Mets on June twenty third. He won six innings,

(08:30):
allowed three hits in one run in his last eight starts.
His ERI continues to go down, as it's now at.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Four point one zero.

Speaker 9 (08:39):
He's scheduled to pitch June twenty nine against the Cubs
as a look to make it nine wins on the season.
After going on the injured list last week due to
a right hip injury, the Cincinnati Reds revealed that they
don't expect Hunter Green to be back until August. It's
a mount of blow for the team, as they've been
one of the hottest teams at baseball recently and were
looking to win the division for the first time since

(08:59):
two thousand wealth. In order to keep that dream alive,
they're going to have to do without their young age
for a round a month. That's the playcation vote for
this week. This is JP the rook Now back to
the mix. Now back to the Mix.

Speaker 11 (09:18):
Jordian Walker has sent in the mess of the Saint
Louis Cardinals have never take him out of rotation again.
He's been in on a sixteen game history had to
be a sitting down the triple Lash for twenty nine
games for questionable reason.

Speaker 10 (09:27):
On the season as far, he's.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Won forty two times.

Speaker 11 (09:30):
That bat he had six home runs, twenty rbi, three
or three bat covers with an eight to forty one
oh ps. We're exactly at the midpoint in the season.
He's trailing almost turn and fifty at backs. He's nearly
fifteen home runs and thirty rbi behind the top set
leaders for rookies before being sent down. He's playing like
a top five rookie in this six It seems like
it's adam or fuel to the fire for Walker. There's
still a lot of baseball left. In the way he's playing.

(09:52):
He'd be in the conversation for Rookie of the Year.
It'll be because the way battle adversity and how he
was able to stand down in months spears as We
will be serving it up all season right here on
mmerb Bro's podcast, The Mix Take.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
I'm stay hust.

Speaker 2 (10:08):

Speaker 12 (12:09):
Baseball is a game of stats. I'm Sebastian Ball and
I'm the numbers Man. Michael Harris showed his potential as
a cornerstone in Atlanta last season, putting up elite numbers
on both sides of the ball. This season, Harris started
a little slower with the bat that he would have liked. However,
he is quickly getting back to being the elite five

(12:30):
to two player that he showed he can be last season.
Michael Harris currently has a way runs created plus of
ninety six as of June twenty sixth, which would be
declined from the one thirty six he put up in
twenty twenty two. However, in the last month spending from
May twenty sixth to June twenty sixth, his water runs
credit plus was an elite one point fifty seven, so

(12:52):
that he is quickly coming back to his brilliant best
as the season progresses. He also has notched four out
above average in four undred and seventy nine point one innings,
putting him in the ninetieth percentile in the category. He
also manages to be in the eighty fifth percentile at
armstrength third and outfield arm runs above average and in
the eighty seventh percentile and sprint speed. His spectacular hitting ceiling,

(13:16):
combined with his defensive prowess and elite speed, some of
him as one of the few five two players in
Major League Baseball. He currently has one point two fangrafts
wins above replacement, however, that should quickly skyrocket if his
current hitting researchers continues. Michael Harris has proven to be
a huge addition to the Braves offense, and he has

(13:37):
been vital to their success since twenty twenty two, and
with the Marlins creeping up in an NL East race.
Michael Harris might just be what the Braves need to
get over the edge, and that's it. Numbers never lie,
so until the next episode. This is Sebastian Bolve, the
numbers Man, bringing you the metrics on the MLB Bros.

(14:00):
Young Chris.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
He pleaded to tell you about the bro Bombers.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
He had to tell you about low drama.

Speaker 10 (14:06):
What's up everyone, This is Young Krit and this is
my weekly calmdown on the biggest plays made by mb
bros over the past seven days. This week, come and
get At number five, we have Mets leftfield or Tommy
fam who made a steady concept for the struggling Mets.
Last week. In six games, he collected six hits with
a double.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
And two RBI.

Speaker 10 (14:27):
Up next to number four, we have Guardians first baseman
Josh Naylor. On Wednesday had a four hit day with
the home run and two RBI and the seven six
win over the Oakland Aids. Sitting in the three spot,
we got vetteran bro Andrew mccushion, who continues to get
it done. On Saturday, he had two doubles, drew three walks,
and scored a run and a fourth three loss to

(14:48):
the Marlin and a number two. This week we have
twenty third base in Royce Lewis, who's in a Rankings
Sistans call up.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Last week he.

Speaker 10 (14:57):
Got the twelve hits with two ho runs, a double
for RBI and finally number on our Chris Countdown, we
have Blue Jays Cinifeuter George Springer go on Sunday best
of a Horme run to give him fifty back lead
up home runs, putting him in seconds and they might

Speaker 13 (18:53):
This is Rachel Hill with MLB bro dot com and
I'm taking you from first to third with Cleveland Garden.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
His picture. Tristan McKenzie.

Speaker 13 (19:01):
Tristan McKenzie was diagnosed with a UCL sprain. He missed
the first two.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Months of the season.

Speaker 13 (19:06):
Was placed on the fifteen day injured list again on
Saturday with what the team is calling an elbow spray
mcause he won't throw for several weeks and will need
to ramp back up to game level once the injury
is fully healed and all our collateral ligament UCL sprain
is a tear to one of the ligaments on the
inner side.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Of the elbow.

Speaker 13 (19:23):
A UCL sprain usually occurs due to a throwing motion
that typically occurs during sports or after elbow dislocation or surgery.
An UCL spray can occur suddenly or congratually come on
over time. With wearing tear, the stress of repeated throwing
on the elbow causes microscopic tissue tears and inflammation. Symptoms
include a decrease inability to throw, feeling or proper tear

(19:47):
when the injury occurs, inability to firmly grip objects with
the hand and ability to straighten the elbow, numbness or
tingling in the ring and little fingers in hand, pain
and tenderness on the inner side of the elbow that
worse when throwing the object, swallowing and bruising on the
inner elbow and upper forearm. The injury is devastating because
these are all the things that a pitcher in baseball

(20:08):
needs to do in order to be able to pitch.
McKenzie has only made two stars this season. His first
start came against the Minnesota Twins, where he pitched five innings,
struck out ten, and only gave up a single hit.
He pitched five innings in the second start, but the
outcome was much different. The Houston Astros scored five earned
runs against Tristan, which included a home run six missing.

(20:28):
What is being reported around four to six weeks is
obviously not ideal. It is best case scenario for him
and the Guardians. Whenever a player is dealing with the
elbow injury, minds always jumped to Tommy John surgery, which
is always season ending. The team said, Mackenzie is expected
to get a second opinion, but he won't throw for
the Guardians for several weeks. Wishing you the best of health.

Speaker 12 (20:48):
Doctor Stakes.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
It's a Gambler choice, It's a Gambers voice.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It's all about the bowls, and two of the bows
are bros. Cleveland Guardians prospect Bo Nailer hit his first
career home run on Wednesday night in the sixth inning
of a fourteen to one Guardians beatdown of the Kansas
City Royals. In doing so, he joined the crazy baseball
history that only a bow would know.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
For MLB dot.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Com, Bo Jackson in nineteen eighty six, Bobashett in twenty nineteen,
and Bo Nayler in twenty twenty three all hit their
first big league homers in Kaufman Stadium. I mean, that's
quite a coincidence, but the mathematics is all aligned there
the power of the bows shine through at Kaufman Stadium.

(21:49):
Nailer's big bro, Josh also homer in that game. The
rookie catcher is now hitting two twenty two with the
homer and two RBI in limited action. He was a
first round pick of the Guardians in twenty eighteen. Brother
Josh aka Josh Nayler the Impaler leads all first basement

(22:12):
in RBI and it's hitting in the mid two nineties.
Don't look now, but young Bro Miles Nailer is also
coming and if the Guardians draft him in this upcoming
MLB draft, that will make three the Hard Way in
Cleveland and some MLB history as well. Miles Nailer was

(22:32):
tied for seventh and average exit velocity during the batting
practice portion at the MLB Combine one hundred point three
miles power. Not bad, good gracious, that's just bodacious. Mlbbro
dot Com the mixtape. Yeah, be stop preeling.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
These all about you.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
But I think there's been way too much made about
Ellie Dela Cruz for the Cincinnati Reds when some of
that attention should be going to Jordan Walker from the
Saint Louis Cardinals. You know the kid who's the outfielder
who made the team from opening Day. You mean the
kid who started his major league career with twelve straight

(23:25):
games with having a base hit. Yeah, so, twelve game
hitting streak to start his major league career. You mean
the kid that was sent down to the minor leagues
after that, came back up and coming into Wednesday, had
a sixteen game hitting streak.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yeah, that Jordan Walker.

Speaker 12 (23:46):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Ellie de la Cruz is a talent. No one's trying
to deny that.

Speaker 14 (23:53):
But how could you not like what Jordan Walker has
done for the Cards coming into Wednesday batting three oh three,
six home runs, twenty rbi, a sixteen game hitch streak
on top of the twelve game hit streak to start
his career.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Hello, is this on?

Speaker 2 (24:15):
It's Shordan Walker.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Don't get carried away with the flash and all that.
And I'm gonna tell you, coming into Wednesday Dayla Cruz
was in an old for thirteen slump. I'm just saying,
pay attention to Jordan Walker. He deserves the praise, he
deserves the media attention.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
I'm rob and that's my rand.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
