Come Fall is back, baby, and we're together. The band

Speaker 5 (01:33):
The band is back together. That's right, right, Jeff, you.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
Talk anything out crackhanding our preseason winner is left and right.
I mean, come on, guys, we are totally.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
Speaking what a yeah that I had a I was
actually unbeaten this this weekend. Uh and uh probably should
have won the Patriot game. Uh. It's good to know
that the guy's healthy dog just was listening to Ilo
a hospital traveling with the team. There's money being better
on these games.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
I was shocked that game last night Patriots and Packers
was suspended because that doesn't happen when guys get hurt
very often. And this is a reaction to I think
Demoor Hammon last year where he was carved off the field.
Obviously that much different situation. This was a neck injury,
and you typically know right away with neck injuries whether
(02:25):
or not the players fine, right, and he had the
reports were that he was moving his extremities as he
was leaving the stadium. And typically that's not a situation
when coaches coming together and suspend the rest of a game.
He's only three three preseason games. Now, if you're a
young player, you missed out a lot of reps in
the fourth quarter there. Now the Patriots have canceled their
(02:47):
joint practices against the Titans for this upcoming week. This
is this is again certainly something that has It's kind
of a direct reaction to Demo Hammon last year because unfortunately,
I've seen a lot of players taken off on cards,
and you just keep playing, you keep doing. I was
surprised to see last night that that happened. Crack my
(03:08):
my bet got great as a no bet, so I
got my refriend.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
My bet was created, doesn't no bet. But for anyone
that bet like the under, I think I was telling
you guys in a group text, if you bet like
the under, you get your money back. But if you
bet the over, which went over in the third quarter,
you're you're upset. So it's listen, is this a sign
of what's to come? Jeff, you're the person that asked us,
is this a sign of what's to come? When you
played like you said, you got card off the field, dude,
(03:33):
you keep playing. I mean, uh, you know, just cancel
the Week three preseason, get out the regular season. Then
if that's the going to be the attitude, he's absolutely
fine going back with the team. Like you said, he
was moving to his extremities off the field. Is this
a sign of what's to come because of the Hamlin
and you know injury last year.
Speaker 6 (03:51):
I don't know if it's a sign of things to come.
I really don't. I think this is just it was.
It was a preseason game. They I think they had
joint practices this week as well, so maybe that's the
reason why they were like, Okay, we've had enough football together,
let's just move it along. That could certainly be a
part of it, is that they were just they were done.
(04:12):
They had done enough. The players got shaken up because
of because of the injury, and they decided we had
practiced enough and playing enough of each other. They're not
gonna be able to do this, not able to do
this for the regular season. Obviously, you can't just suspend
the game and come back the next day. Obviously, we
(04:33):
saw what happened last year in a real life and
that situation. The game never got rescheduled because you just
can't do that. So this feels like kind of a
preseason only thing.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, it was crazy because so we're talking about Isaiah Bolden.
He's a seventh round rookie cornerback for the Patriots and
suffered a head injury last night in the Patriots Packers game,
And like Jeff and Crack are talking about, they just
ended the game. So if you bet on really anything,
you refunded your money and if you're on the winning side,
(05:07):
if you would have been on the winning side, doesn't matter.
You don't win your bet, which is wild. It's like
you see all these wild things happen in the betting landscape.
And I just picture someone, like you said, Crack, if
you had the under and the over already hit in game,
are you sitting there saying, well, we're hoping the game
gets suspended somehow, some way and I get my money back.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
It's crazy, Oh wow, having to think about that. Imagine
that you're sitting there rooting, you know, literally, how can
I get my money back on this game? And you
think an injury or the lights go out, and that's
exactly what happened. And like I said on a more
serious don't listen. We don't want anyone injury. We don't
want anyone cart it off the field, of course, but
that's part of the game, like Jeff said, he's seen
(05:50):
it many times, he said, and you just continue to
play the game. There was a lot of people last year,
big media thing. You know, they were going again back
and forth on Twitter last year. You know, people had
all their season money tied up. If you had a
season win on Buffalo four or against over Under, that
everything got to spend. You got your money back. So
(06:11):
you tied up your money literally for the whole season,
five months, four months, six months, whatever it may be,
like we're doing now, which we're gonna talk about later
in the show, and now you get your money back.
So basically, you gave them an interest free loan for
six months.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
And it's tough, right because you got to walk the
tight rope of not sounding completely and utterly insensitive. No
one wanted to see DeMar Hamlin get hurt, of course,
no one wanted to see Isaiah Bolden get hurt last night,
and thankfully they both look like they're going to be fine.
But there is something to be said for if you're
on the cusp, you're on the goal line, you're actually
(06:47):
in the end zone, have scored a touchdown, and somehow
it gets revoked.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Right.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
I understand the argument of man, that sucks though. I
totally get that other side of it.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
But Brian, you just it too. Let's face it and listen,
all three of us, are you know this is a show,
a rare show. There's a lot of sports media shows,
sports betting shows across many platforms, many networks. I can't
name too many that all three of the guys. As
a matter of fact, I may have to throw a
couple other producers and everything. We all bet, we all gamble,
(07:19):
so we know what it is from a gambling standpoint. Here,
we actually bet our money here. We don't just give
it information out like other shows give information out without
actually putting their money up. So let's face it, if
we haven't bet on that game, it just what happens.
I did send this game to the to everyone in
the chat New England plus three. Let's face it, we're rooting.
(07:40):
From a gambling standpoint, we're winning the game. Yes, Green
Bay was driving. The were on like the seventeen yard line,
but still even if they score and have to make
an extra point that just just for the tie, we
get the ball back. We had a nice edge. That
is what I'm saying. Let's just face it. The bottom line,
we're looking at the games from a gambling standpoint if
we're betting on it, but even if we're not, we
talk about it. So it's totally different. Now gambling is fashionable.
(08:04):
There's thirty some states legal. Now everyone's betting, So that's
what the people are looking at. A lot of people
are looking at the game from.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Okay, fellas, So if we dive into some of the
preseason games as it relates to the regular season, that's
all that really matters. Anything that stands out to you
that applies to the regular season. One of the things
that stands out to me is not breaking news that
most rookie quarterbacks struggle, and it looks like we're in
store for that with the top three guys, but Bryce
(08:31):
Young in particular running for his life taking hits. You know,
Ekwanu his sixth overall left tackle from last year, little shaky.
I'm not gonna write him off, Jeff, because Kevon Thibodeau
gave him the business. But that's not a good That's
not a good combination of left tackle getting beaten repeatedly,
(08:54):
and you've got Bryce Young, who obviously lacks in statures undersized.
That is not a good comp nation whatsoever.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
Well, on that specific play, the left tackle on a
mental ara, which is almost worse than getting beat physically.
He just didn't block cave On Thibodeaux. He thought it
was a different protection, which shouldn't happen for a player
of his caliber. But they have a new center this
year and a new quarterback, and maybe they're working through
working through some you know, some some communication issues. Here's
(09:22):
the thing about the preseason here, that's for frame, well's
just the preseason. It doesn't matter. In twenty ten, I
was on the Panthers, and I believe that preseason we
scored zero off at the touchdowns total the entire four games,
Like wow, game, what didn't matter, first, second or third team,
no touchdowns total. We averaged twelve points a season that
(09:43):
year in twenty ten. Right, So like yeah, So if
my thing is is like if you look really bad
and you're short of supposed to be good, that's like
Buffalo right now. The vibe in Buffalo is like a
little bit of yikes. Like that game the Steelers played
their starters. You play your starters and you kind of
got beat up, like you know, like that's not a
(10:04):
it's not a it's not the ball end all, but
it's not a great feeling, right, Like you know, Kansas
City in Game one against New Orleans, they kind of
got pushed around, came out yesterday. I love Kansas City
first half. I know you did crack as well. They
easily covered the first half. They played much better. They
look like, okay, like boom, ready to go. And so
I think that's what it is, Brian, Right, It's it's
(10:26):
not it's never the middle like the middle, but it's
more like, do our starters look like they playing like starters?
But then also, the one thing that I just don't
walk about the preseason now is I don't I don't
understand why the Bears just didn't play justin field yesterday. Yeah,
but he doesn't need reps. Your rookie right tackle doesn't
(10:46):
need reps. Anthony Richardson on the Colts doesn't need reps.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
That's insane.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
He's your starting quarterback next season. Assume me this season
he's starting in Week one against I believe it's Houston, right,
or the jackson and Jacksonville. I actually like the Colts
plus the points in that game. But nonetheless there he's
not playing, like what are we doing? So I think
this is the hard part about judging this, Brian, is
that you if it's starters were starters, you can give
(11:11):
a little bit of judgment. Backups, its backups who cares
like those guys aren't playing, But also wire coaches not
playing their starters. I look at Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin,
Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll, all the older coaches that win
a lot of football games. Guess what they do. They
play their guys in the preseason. The one example it's
is Sean McVay, who doesn't, right, he has never done
that and he's been very successful. That's kind of about
(11:32):
Kyle Shannan yesterday. I think he played everyone, but Trent Williams.
Like these these coaches that win a lot of football games,
they're not afraid of injuries. They go play their players
in the preseason. Yet we have the Bears who are
three and fourteen. Last year, the Colt truth struggled like, nah,
we're good, we don't need to do that.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Good. You know what, I'll lad jump in there for
a second. I actually think it's really important to watch
these rookie quarterbacks, like Brian said, preseasons to trying to
project how they're going to do. You know this seasons
is they're they're unknown really coming into the league, and
you know, you just want to know, like the top
picks Stroud and Young, they've struggled, like you guys have said.
(12:12):
And I'll tell you what. I know, it's early. I understand.
I mean two weeks in preseason. You may even want
to downgrade them a little bit. This week, Week three,
like Jeff said, this is an important week. Let me
tell you something, this is a fun betting week. It's
the one reason I really love us being on a
little bit early Week three. I wish there was Week
four actually, but it was only three weeks. Week three
(12:33):
preseason football. Oh my god. It's all about information, guys.
We're gonna get into this stuff. Week three should be fun.
Just it's just great to follow a lot of these
beat writers what they're talking about, what they put right
on Twitter.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
Go ye, you know, I I will just say about
you know some of these working quarterbacks guys. Is I
think there are moments we've seen how these quarterbacks where
they look like CJ. Strout through a really good paths,
like it was like a fifteen year are out yesterday,
like right on time. Ye, Like there's a couple moments
where you think to yourself, oh, like the Richardson it
(13:07):
was dropped, but that that Passkin's buffalo. Those are That's
what I want to see from a young quarterback because
these games are not going to be they're not highly
game plan now with a rookie quarterback, you're probably putting
a little more prep than you would Patrick Mahomes in
these games, but again, like you're not really sitting there
with an entire week of game planning. You're not just
(13:28):
you know, Anthony Richardson in a in a Colts in
a Registerson game doesn't have to be so much moved
the pocket stuff with him. There's been a lot of
using his legs. Like they're not really designing those plans
for quarterbacks now. So for young guys. For me, it's
like Bryce Young to me looks like he belongs. I mean,
he's a little small, I'm worried about that, but he
looks like c. J. Strata. I thought game won the
(13:49):
game too. I watched a little bit of that game yesterday.
I think it was he looked better, he looked like
he improved, and the Colts didn't play Richardson's I don't know,
but like it it It like I crack, we see
a To me, it's a little bits and pieces like
you can tell like Trey Lance sometimes who's in year three?
Now You're like, like you can I think you can
sort of see early on if guys sort of have
(14:10):
it or not.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Well, what's crazy is I agree with Anthony Richardson not playing.
That's insane. The guy had three hundred and ninety three
passing attempts in college, three ninety three. That's nothing. You
gotta get him out there, get him a couple of series,
get him a half, and they he didn't play at all.
It's insane to me. And also it's funny to me
(14:33):
how the vantage point the bar is so low for
these rookies. I'm not expecting them to be mahomes out
of the gate, but you mentioned it, Jeff. With Anthony Richardson,
he did have a nice throat. Alec Pierce should have
been caught, wasn't last week against Buffalo. But he also
couldn't complete a hitch route. He had a wide open
tight end ball is nowhere near him. On second and five,
(14:55):
he had a wide open wide receivers actually offensive pass
interference on Pittman Junior. He airmailed it and no one cares.
No One's like, did you see the one pass? Though
one great pass does not eliminate three bad ones. And
it's funny how low the bar is for these rookie
quarterbacks out of the gate.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
Well, I think the bar is different for different guys, right,
Like Anthony Richardson, we all understand the cults have at
least said this publicly, like, yeah, it's probably gonna be
a struggle this season, and we're okay if a stat line
is ten of twenty seven, but he has one hundred
and five yards Russian, you know, and and and limits
the turnovers, you know what I mean? Like, like, we
understand if it's Bryce Young, I expect him Brian to
(15:35):
make those throws. Yeah, and at the Richard, I don't expect
it quite yet.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Stroud I think got to complete it, come on.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
Fair, But I think that Stroud should be in the
same level as completely passes as Bryce Young, but yeah,
the bar is low for Richardson. I feel in year one,
in year two obviously next year, hope he does airmail those.
But again he's starting in three Sundays and they chose
an opportunity to not have them playing a preseason game.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Guys think this is like the hammele of effect maybe
a little bit, or is that the actual plan to
not I mean you have to give your your quarterback.
I would think a series. But then again, look at
you know these some of these crafty veterans that they're
just ready to go to this. It just matters their
coaching style.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
I guess, well, yeah, bits crackt about the preseason. It's
an old coach of verus young coach thing. The old
coaches play their starters. It's why I love wagering a
lot of the older coaches in the preseason, especially the
defensive guys. I think we've talked about this, like Pete
Carroll is a covering machine in the preseason. He's sixty
against the spread now in his career as a coach.
(16:37):
Like they the older coaches aren't word about injuries like
they're just not. They want to get their work in.
They want the guys to hit. They want the guys
to to feel football. The younger coaches, man, I hate
using the word analytics. It's really not. But there's different.
There's new data, right, and they have grown up in
this era of including data points and data sets in
(16:59):
their in their analysis of gameplay and reps. And they
use a GPS monitors. I don't think Andy Reid's sitting
there with the piece of paper going like, well, let's
look at the GPS for today, guys, Oh, the wide
receiver ran too many. He don't do that. It's not
what he is, right. So like the younger coaches, and
all almost all of them do it. They don't play
those stars in the preseason. They just don't work for
(17:23):
It works for Sean McVay, that's it. Anyone else hasn't.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Really worked, by the way, real fast, I'm mad at
your San Francisco Giants in baseball, Jeff, last leg of
a parlay insane. Part of it was the Chiefs in
the first quarter because they're going with their starters, they're
playing Arizona.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
They barely cover that one for insane.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Like sequence of events of events, mahomestore is a touchdown
pass and basically the last play of the first quarter. Yes,
and so I'm in the San Francisco Giants trying to
hold on for dear life against the lethal off Atlanta
Braves offense couldn't do it, gave up a home run
in the bottom What.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
The Giants have lost like seventeen.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Logan Webb. It was a stinky line. It was right
that we were right there. Jeff, It just did you
work out?
Speaker 6 (18:08):
Yeah, I'm surprised. I'm not surprised. The eighty one mile hour.
Tyler Rogers got the Rosario hit a eight foot home.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
This sidewinder he had mowed down five straight.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
And then the problem is when when the ball's flat,
when he thought when the ball hasn't move for him,
it is up in the zone, in the middle of
the plate.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Getting up in the zone.
Speaker 6 (18:27):
Not great?
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Are we are off and running for another season. We've
got eight year NFL veteran Jeff Schwartz. We've got Bill Krackenberger,
sports handicapper from crack wins dot com. I'm Brian no
coming up next. This is in the running for Quote
of the off Season. It is Fox Sports Radio's Camdown

Just use code countdown, all right, fellas. So this has
got to be in the running for quote of the
off season, and there are many. Of course, there's the
blistering Sean Payton interview with USA today. We're talking trash
(19:44):
about Nathaniel Hackett. There have been a lot of things
said in the off season. This is in the running
for quote of the year. I think Kyle Shanahan, forty
nine Ers head coach. He talked about Brock Purdy, who
we saw last night, came back from the elbow surgery,
had his first action since the NFC Championship game against
the Broncos. In preseason action last night, Shanahan said about
(20:06):
brock Purty, he would have to melt in practice to
lose the forty nine Ers job, which blows my mind.
We are two years removed from the Niners trading up
boat load for Trey Lance and now mister irrelevant the
last bick of the draft. Brock party would have to
(20:28):
melt to not be qb one. That blows my mind.
But here we are.
Speaker 6 (20:35):
I think not enough has made about the Niners disaster
of the trade for Trey Lanft. I mean they traded
three first round picks for quarterback who they're not even
giving a chance to win the job. Like he's not
even getting a chance most of the time. You allow
that guy to a couple of years to work through it, right,
he ends up. They end up like just getting reps
(20:57):
going through it all, figuring it out. But the Niners
are in a win nown mode with their roster and
decide to draft a quarterback who needed development. It makes
no sense they would all in for either him or
Mac Jones, whoever was available. And just ended up with
no one basically right, Brian, I have not seen a
(21:17):
team with the Niners in quite a long time. They
have the best left tackle in the game, the best
pass rusher, the defensive player of the year in Nick Bosa.
They have the best linebacker and Fred Warner arguably the
best running back in Christian McCaffrey. They have a top
three tight end and Kittle. They have Halfunga on defense
at safety, who is a young player, probably going to
(21:39):
send in the top five of safeties. They have elite
defensive line play. They have Deebo Samuel, who is one
of the elite offensive weapons in the NFL. And yet
they're not winning a Super Bowl with Brock pretty at quarterback.
It's not doing it. And it's remarkable that all of
this can be changed, obviously with getting with with any
(22:03):
quarterback who's not it's not pretty. If they got Matt Stafford,
they'd be they have won a Super Bowl by now,
but they have Brock Purty. It's not ideal.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
How many games did he actually start.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
At the end, there's eight, yeah, eight including the playoff game.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
I mean, he's been around such a great offense, one
of the best in the league, and we just don't
know if he's uh, you know, this year, is he
one hundred percent? They say he's he's ready to roll,
I mean, but we just don't know. He's only really started,
even though seven that's really only a handful of games
in the NFL. And and he made a great showing
(22:39):
for sure. Anyway, here's the thing.
Speaker 6 (22:42):
Though, look at the look at the history of the NFL,
even just even the history of like the last twenty
twenty five years your franchise. Tom Brady's the outlier of
all this, right, Otherwise you're if you're winning football games,
you're doing with first and second round quarterbacks. Now you
have a Kirk Cousins in the fourth round who's not
even on the in the draft of them, Dak Prescott
(23:02):
who wasn't even drafted to start where Romo got hurt.
And I think everyone kind of thinks Dak Prescott has
also kind of like reached his peak as far as
the player can be. And the Russell Wilson who did
it as a third round draft pick. To think that
brock perty is gonna be the next Tom Brady, it's
just silly to me, Like there's a reason why those
guys that win every year are drafted very high. They're
(23:26):
mostly the most talented players most often. I pretty can
operate well in the system, but it's like those special plays.
It's the things that set those upper echelont quarterbacks apart.
I'm not sure he can do that.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Yeah, and you look at the regular season starts. Tell
me which ones wow you And tell me which ones say, oh, yeah,
he's definitely a franchise quarterback. So he started in the
regular season against Tampa, Seattle, Washington, the Raiders, and the Cardinals. Okay,
and then we get to the postseason. They beat Seattle,
(24:00):
they barely scored any points against Dallas, Dak had those
two interceptions, and then he got hurt against the Eagles.
What do you really know about brock Perdy. I'm just
stunned that there are so many people that are just
convinced like they have their franchise quarterback, they're good based
on eight starts. That's just insane to me.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
They are still stacked. I guess you know with they
are McCaffrey, Debo Kiddle. I mean, they are still stacked.
But I mean, you know, from a betting standpoint, I
was just looking at the bet MGM over unders. From
a betting standpoint, I don't think the you know, the
betters are so confident on them. They haven't really got
the action that some of the other teams, especially in
(24:41):
the NFC West. For some reason, there's a big support
for Seattle in the betting markets I'm seeing from the
I actually what I do, guys, I'll take the lines
when they first come up, and I'll just make copies
of them on my phone. So the lines when they
first come up, when I'm talking about a season wins
and stuff, way at the beginning of the season. I'm sorry,
at the beginning of the year, they actually come up
(25:01):
literally at the when the Super Bowl's over, they're working
on next year's lines already. So you know, you see
who got support and who didn't get supporting, and San
Fran really isn't one of the ones. And it was
probably just because of the quarterback situation. Of course, fans
aren't going to put their money up for six months
or whatever it may be and tie them up. I mean,
(25:24):
it opened up like ten and a half and it's
still it's ten and a half over shaded over a
little bit, but we'll see what happens.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
You know it's crazy crack is you look at the
odds of each team to win their division. The Rams
are getting no love. The Rams are nine to one.
The Rams have the same odds to win the NFC
West as the Texans have to win the AFC South. Wow,
they're both nine to.
Speaker 5 (25:49):
One eighteen months from winning the Super Bowl's right?
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Yeah, I know they have a lot of young guys
and FM picks definitely hurt the core.
Speaker 6 (25:59):
Of the nuclear It is, right, is like you look
at their offensive line and those question marks, big question
marks there. You look at the Depolones team, their top
end is really good. Right, you also say Stafford and
Cooper Cupp and Aaron Donald. But then then what yeah,
what what? That's the problem with with with the Rams.
It's like then what then what do you have? So
(26:23):
I think it's kind of silly that they're that low,
But I also think that I kind of have to
see it, Like I gotta see Matt Stafford with standing
a season where he's he might get hit a bunch
because offensive line's got to figure things out.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
That's where you compare them to the Niners, who are
deep and Seattle with all their young guys from last
year that that's a pretty deep team. I don't think
they have quite the top end talent as the Rams do,
but the Seahawks are much deeper. There's no doubt about that.
Someone who else, someone else who's deep in talent. That
would be our own guy, Isaac Lowe and Krun Just
(26:58):
swimming in ability is how I would put it. I Loo,
what's going on, buddy?
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Good morning, fellas, And as it was once said on
a legendary seven Up commercial back in the day, We're
about to go international with this baby, because today Spain
won the Women's World Cup with a one nothing victory
over England on a goal by Alga Carmona in the
twenty ninth minute. Now, fellas, I'm about to play you
(27:23):
the radio call of that goal as it sounded in Spain,
and you're about to hear something very unique because their
goal call has a techno soundtrack. So, without further ado,
here are Fernando Cardinal and Mickey Camino on Tablero Deportivo
(27:49):
r n E Yah And a related story, I just
(28:21):
pulled a groin muscle while bopping up and down to
the techno beat. Anyway, an NFL preseason action on Saturday
and night. The game at Lambeau Field between the Patriots
and Packers was suspended in the fourth quarter because of
an injury to Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden, who was taken
to a hospital after an inadvertent helmet to helmet collision.
The Patriots said Bolden had feeling in all of his extremities.
(28:45):
The Patriots announced this morning that Bolden has been released
from the hospital and will travel home with the team today.
Bolden himself tweeted today, appreciate the prayers. More excited to
be back with the guys. Raiders over the Rams thirty
four to seventeen. Jimmy Roppolo completed four to four for
thirty nine yards in his Raiders' debut baseball. Saturday night,
Mookie Betts hit two home runs in the Dodgers three
(29:08):
to one victory over the Marlins, sweeping a double header.
The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Angels in Anaheim eighteen
to four to split a double header. Arizona's Gabriel Moreno
hit a grand slam and had five RBI, and the
Diamondbacks eight to one win at San Diego to sweep
a double header. Fellows, I'm gonna go back to rocking
out on that techno music back to you.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
You really get your body involved if you're pulling a
groin muscle while bobbin to house music.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Workman's comp Workman's comp claim.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
It's all good. I'm not judging over here. Like it
it is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett MGM. Let's go to college football, just for a
second year. Fellas where there was something where I immediately
thought of Jeff Schwartz This week, I thought it Jeff
because of Coach Prime. Coach Prime at Colorado. Now there
was a little dust up in practice. We're going go
(30:00):
line over here. A touchdown is scored, the defensive player
kind of you know, gives the people's elbow to the
guy who just scored a little pushing, little shoving. Not
everybody jumps into this thing. Here's what Coach Prime had
to say to the rest of the team that just
carried on without getting in the fight.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
I seen two of y'all walk it off over there, and.
Speaker 6 (30:19):
You gotta keep teammate fight.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
No work.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
Not here where they won't fight, we all fight. You
understand that. I don't want to see y'all walking off
with somebody's.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Fight, let's go come on.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Like.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
I love this, though I can't it man like they
were one and eleven. They're not gonna be fighting during
games and getting fifteen yard penalties. But if you're establishing
some toughness, I love this. I also love the opposite.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
That's fake toughness, buddy.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Maybe fake toughness. Okay, fine, And I'm inconsistent here, I
admit it. I loved when Tony Dungee with the Colts
was like, we're not fighting. It's stupid. We're not fighting
in games, We're not doing that in training camp. I
like that approach to I love two wildly different approaches.
But I'm okay with this. You're not down with coach
Brian on this.
Speaker 6 (31:08):
Jeff so well so Dean wants his team to have
entire brawl because a few guys got a little dusty
the yeah the end. Have a play in the goal line,
yeah too. That really serves practice time. Well, I've watched
all other hype videos. I think you need to focus
on blocking and tackling a little bit better than fighting.
A little bit. Every high video they put out and
(31:29):
looks great. Travis Hunter looks good. They're not blocking anybody,
like there are the court guys running for his life
every every snap they put out there. I'm just out.
I'm out on Colorado. I just will tell you. They're
getting twenty one and a half points, twenty one twenty
points against TCU. And I really want to take Colorado
(31:50):
because TCU is they lost a lot of players.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
And the toughest factor of Colorado, right.
Speaker 6 (31:57):
And yeah, there real tough. I just don't know much
about color I can't do it week one. I can't
do get again, twenty twenty and a half points. That's
a stiff That's a stiff number, man, Like that's you know,
forty two twenty one, and and TCU barely covers that, right, Like,
I think that that tease. I think the game would
be much closer. I'm I'm actually on Colorado's their their
(32:18):
win total under I'm I'm at three. I think they're
three nine.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
I can't get to four wins. Crack. I'm looking at
Colorado's schedule over here that like Jeff said, they're at
three and a half season wins total. I'm struggling to
see four wins this season.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
Yeah, you slow build.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
I mean it's gonna take time for coach prime there.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
You know, I'm looking at the over under season wins
two and Jeff, did you say you bet under Colorado?
Speaker 6 (32:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (32:42):
What number did you get?
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Three and a half?
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Three and a half? Wow? It just seems like it's
so easy to win four games, even the worst teams.
But looking at their schedule, like Brian said, you know,
I haven't really looked deeply into into this more than
more than looking into Georgia. You know, I'm listen, you
guys probably know I'm on the other side of the
fence on a lot of these things. I'm always looking
to bet against the public. What's the public all over?
(33:06):
They're all over Georgia, I mean plus two to one
to win the championship some of these places there is
if there's yes, no markets, I would actually probably tend
to bet the no minus two fifty more than the
yes plus two twenty or two to one. Just to
let you guys know. Also, just always try to put
yourself on the bookmaker's side. So the bookmakers, they're going
(33:31):
to be rooting against Georgia one and all. You can
guarantee it's you know, all those little fifty twenty five
hundred dollars bets add up to a lot of exposure
for the sportsbooks.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
Well, there's there's there's. Schedule is a joke. Okay, they're
going to be probably twelve and zhero. Their win totals
eleven and a half, so you have one game of error.
But they're looking at their schedule. I mean they're at Tennessee.
That's about it, right, maybe maybe the the cocktail Party
whatever that thick game is called. Now, Florida might be better,
but they're starting Graham Ertz, who was no good at Wisconsin.
(34:02):
And I will very quick tidbit on Florida since we're
gonna be there pretty soon. Florida goes to Utah August thirty. First,
I'm fairly sir in Utah is not playing their starting
quarterback and their backups out for the season. Florida's at
plus seven right now. I don't know if Florida's any good.
I don't rely. I don't know. Utah can certainly win
(34:22):
this game seventeen ten and push right twenty ten or
twenty seven. You can win it thirty five, twenty eight.
But I just if you're down your thirst string quarterback,
I'm not wagering on you. I'm actually wagering against you.
So that's one thing I'm looking at in Week one
(34:42):
of college football already. But yeah, the win totals is fun. Man,
It's a long you tie up money in that process.
Everyone is. You have to understand that. But I think
there's a lot of value in some especially in college.
I don't think people pay attention as much to some
of the college stuff as NFL, and there's ways to
find some some money.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Man.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
We are just getting warmed up over here. College football,
NFL speeding toward it. It is a beautiful thing. Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran with us Bill crack Krackenberger from

Will the short odds for this team get any longer?

so we were talking about odds to win the National
Championship crack. As you mentioned, Georgia far and away leading
(36:09):
the field. They're basically at two to one, which is
just crazy to win a championship. They're third one in
a row. It would be next in line Alabama at
six to one, which again two to one for Georgia,
six to one for Alabama. It goes from there. Here's
the question I have. Will the short odds for Georgia
(36:30):
to win a championship actually get longer? Because they might not.
They're probably gonna run the table in the regular season.
When are the odds gonna get longer? It reminds me
a bit of Otani to win ALMVP, where you're looking
at like the odds are this short to begin the season.
I don't know. That they're gonna get shorter going forward.
(36:53):
So that's where I'm at with Georgia. That's the question.
Are the short odds gonna get any longer as we
go through the season. They might not.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
The only way that's possible, I think is if Alabama,
who is does have a quarterback right now, which is
really funny, they've like go one to three guys and
they're still the second best office win the championship, or
Ohio State or someone really plays above what we expect
and Georgia doesn't. Georgia starts slow. They announced Carson Beck
as a starter yesterday, that he's not as good maybe
(37:24):
and there's a little bit, but again opening schedules like Louisiana, Monroe,
North South Tech State and some other directional school like
they're playing nobody's so it might not even matter. But Brian,
if that ends up where like again BAM and Ohio
State play much better than expected, one of those quarterbacks
that wins their job is really good and Georgia maybe
comes down a little bit, and maybe for one week
(37:46):
there's a bump, but probably not any more than that.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
I don't think there's gonna be a pump up. I listen,
you have an American public that's being spoon fed on
every network how great Georgia is. They could play against
NFL teams, and they could be in the NFL. You know,
I don't see the odds coming down on them at
all in this season unless there's a key, major injury
and stuff. But you know, those games are lined just
(38:11):
to let you know those big underdogs they do have
a line to them. And sometimes a first half bet
on one of those schools that you say, oh my god,
this is going to be destruction for whoever they are,
and you just say, George is gonna kill them. I'll
tell you what, I like, taking a situation like that
and betting a first half school to come out there
(38:34):
in the first half actually do a little bit better
than people that don't forget it's their super Bowl. They're
on it's their super Bowl. Where Georgia may be a stants,
no one get really hurt. This is an easy game
for us. I like those first half opportunities just to
let you guys know throughout the season.
Speaker 6 (38:50):
Was it a couple of years ago, Brian, I think
you remember this when when Citadel went into Alabama was
like tied at ten and halftime did all. But that
was one of those those November games, right, it was
like the Sandwich game and you're like, no way, and
Bam won that game, like twenty to ten. Just doesn't
even care to be there.
Speaker 4 (39:05):
Yeah, Bama. I don't know if that it was the
bleep during through the tin horn or something like that,
is like we couldn't do anything against it. Nothing against this.
TV had a funny quote as far as that went,
all right, come it up next season, win totals what
we love.

Are you ready to witness quatness?

You know I'm gonna start with crack over here, Jeff,
because uh, crack, I don't know how many season win
(40:54):
total bets you have. I mean you technically you have
sixty four options. That'd be fair there. You got thirty
two teams go over or under. How many of the
sixty four possibilities have you got in on, Derek Crack?
Speaker 5 (41:08):
Well, you know not only season win totals, but I
have a ton pending on season long props. And you
know I know there's such an advantage to betting these.
I like to tie up my money. I know a
lot of people though it's a little dangerous for them.
They get nervous, they want to cash them out after
the first week because they've you know, over extended their
bank rolls. What I always say to guys is, you
(41:28):
know a season win prop, you should put like one
percent of your gambling bank roll, maybe two percent on
you have a year long, well six months long season win.
It's a root four And to be real blunt, some
of these season win props and some of these type
of bets, they have a bigger advantage than betting a
week to week NFL team, especially sides. You guys know,
(41:50):
I'm not real fond of betting sides in the regular season,
only preseason, but as far as season wins goes, yeah,
I have. I caught Dallas at an early stage over
nine and a half minus twenty. I believe they're about
minus forty now more minus fifty over. And I don't
really like to bet overs too much, but I have
a couple overs for you guys. You could search that
(42:12):
by the way, shop to shop. It's amazing the difference
in some of these lines I notice during the breakare
we're just looking at BETMGM, something I love. I only
know one casino here in Vegas that does this, So
to see bet MGM do it, I kind of sparked
up a little bit. They have alternate lines, alternate season wins.
I know you have to bet I know you have
(42:34):
to lay more juice on each half of a win,
or over seven and a half compared to over eight
and a half, whatever it may be. I'll tell you though,
there's still some low hanging fruit in these markets. I
feel you guys may be shocked here at one that
I'm gonna go. Well, not that you'll be shocked, but
I like Green Bay over seven and a half, over
seven and a half wins, I see you can lay
(42:56):
one twenty one, twenty five. I know it's the first
based squad here. Think about this. I think it's like
thirty years without a far for Rogers quarterback in their arsenal,
which sounds unbelievable. Thirty years, but and you know, this
is really the Jordan Love era. It officially starts now,
even though they're in rebuilding mode. I'll tell you right now,
(43:18):
I think that I like the over here, I think
they can get eight wins. And again there's some of
those markets, Like I said, certain sportsbooks like the bet MGM,
they have the alternate lines there. I kind of like that.
But you're going back to you're answering your question, Brian,
what do I have tied up on season wins? Not
what you think, probably three or four where I've seen
(43:39):
some value, like you can't get the value now. But
so I don't like to really even talk about stuff.
But like that, like an unobtainable line, it's not what
I'm about. I'm about giving out obtainable lines. And by
the way to cut in, I've had some text messages
and some Twitter messages crack, oh I got four and
oh yesterday five and oh. I'll tell you what I do.
Lean to the under on tonight's game. I know I'm
(44:01):
all over the place. I's talking about season wins now
under that there's a game tonight. There is a game
going on tonight. Let me just see if I think
bet MGM's they had thirty seven and a half. Yes,
they still do. Chargers in New Orleans four h five
my time seven five back East under thirty seven and
a half. Maybe a good play there, but so just
I lean towards that, I definitely throw a few bucks
(44:23):
on that one. As far as season wins goes, Yeah,
I found some really good lines out here, Like people
like to watch Hard Knocks every year in there, Like
I said earlier on a few different shows, their eyes
play tricks on you. You're watching Hard Knocks and you're
saying and when the game, when when the episode's over,
you go right immediately to your betting line, say Wow,
(44:44):
they're gonna be great this year. I got to see
what their season wins are and it's going on in
every single training camp that there's not cameras rolling in
the other thirty some training camp. So I do like
under on jets a little bit. But I found the
ten out here in Vegas, which you may still find
ten under minus a dollar thirty or forty, Like I
bet the Giants under eight and a half. But again
(45:05):
this this is a tough line. But those lines I'm
talking about at MGM that you could move up and down.
Maybe you play there. Check out the markets and there's
there's some couple of things for you guys. I do
like Green Bay over Let's see what you guys are on.
Speaker 6 (45:21):
So I look at a few overs and a few unders.
Jacksonville is at nine and a half right now, and
I know it's just heavily to over. But can I
can I read you guys the quarterbacks that the Jags
are playing this season, you're ready? Yeah, Anthony Richardson, Patrick
Mahomes probably lost that that's a home though. Who knows.
Chiefs start fast typically c J. Stroud, Desmond Ritter and
(45:42):
they're playing overseason against Josh Allen, the Anthony Richardson again,
then Derek Carr, Kenny Pickett, Brock Purdy, whoever starts in Tennessee,
c J. Stroud. They're a little tough stretch here. They
have a three three games slate against the AFC North
and they have a Joe Borrow at home by the Bengals.
Then they go to Cleveland and play Deshaun Watson and
(46:04):
then play Lamar Jackson. In the last two years, Lamar
Jackson has not been healthy in this game in late December, Okay.
Then they end with a gauntlet of Baker Mayfield, Bryce
Young and whoever plays quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. So
I have them over over the nine and a half.
The other over I like so far is Pittsburgh. I
(46:25):
think it's eight and a half. Do you know the
record Pittsburgh last season, guys, play chances did pop on
your head? They were eight eight and one, actually eight
eight and one.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
I believe all they do is win.
Speaker 6 (46:39):
They were nine and eight. Okay. They have a really
good roster and at quarterback in Kenny Pike, and I
think it's actually gonna be good. They're gonna be good
this season. They have again wat Is healthy on defense,
their offensive line is older, plunging better in the prisons.
(47:01):
So far, eight and a half feels too low for me.
For Pittsburgh, I like it. And then for the Unders,
I'm kinda of the opinion a lot of times that
the bad teams are going to be bad, like Arizona
under four and a half. They're gonna stink. They just are.
It's okay, someone has to stink. There's gonna be bad,
(47:23):
is what it is. The Giants one, it's interesting, crack
because I did look in that direction originally, and I
don't know, man, they burned me so much last season
last year went on, but their schedule is much tougher
this season, so that's one. I think that I like
that one as well. The other one is the Raiders
(47:44):
just under six and a half. Come on, come on, like,
they don't have a good roster and they all have
a quarterback who's any good. So those are the ones
I like. You know, Kansas City over eleven and a half. Fine,
I mean, they're probably gonna twelve games, but that's a
margin of error. It's kind of low there as well.
Oh other ones too, Brian, You're your Dolphins are nine
(48:06):
and a half. If TUIs stays healthy, they're gonna they're
gonna win a lot. They're gonna win eleven or twelve games, right,
Am I crazy for for thinking about?
Speaker 4 (48:14):
Gosh, if Twist stays healthy he missed five games last year,
they're nine and eight, you know, so yeah, I think
they absolutely will win double digit games if he stays healthy.
Vic Fangio over there, coach a.
Speaker 6 (48:25):
Good point, big Fangil. Yeah, I like that a lot.
Speaker 4 (48:27):
Yeah, I know it's a loaded division, but yeah, I
see ten wins if Tua is healthy. Absolutely, I see
ten wins. Yeah, but that's a big if.
Speaker 6 (48:37):
You're waging on the on the on the if, which
is which is the hard part of that right, age
on on the what if, which I think is difficult.
I mean there's look, there's a lot of these. Like
I think cracks point is very valid, it's hard sometimes
to to do it. There's also, I think a way
to bet these. Crack to me, if you agree with me,
there's almost more value sometimes in taking a yes or
(48:58):
no playoff than there is betting the season win total,
because the juice is better. So instead of betting someone
under a certain number minus one forty, you get them
no playoffs plus money sometimes the same team, which is
essentially I mean if they're going nine to eight in
a certain lead in certain conference, they're not making the
playoffs in nine and eight, and you get a better
(49:19):
number taking no playoffs than you do under the season
win total.
Speaker 5 (49:23):
Bet MGM has that bet too, on every single team.
The way it's worded is like Miami Dolphins to make
the playoffs, yes or no. By the way, very unusual
line here. You know we're talking high on Miami. You
guys Miami to make the playoffs, so pick them to
make the playoffs. So this nine and a half wins
minus won ten on both sides and at bet MGM.
(49:43):
But to make the playoffs it's like a pick them.
So there's there's exactly what Je's saying. There's two different
ways to go about this. If you're gonna you know,
and that's a season long bett, you know, you have
action every week.
Speaker 6 (49:53):
So but the best part about this is you can
during the season try to hedge out of it. You could,
like so if you pay attention to your to the
wagers and you make then you can. And we did
this last year with the Giants. It did not work
for us. Sure we tried to hit the head their
way out of it and get a way out of it.
But you look at some of these schedules. I mean,
(50:14):
you talk about the Jets, right, their schedule this year
is really tough to start the season. I believe it's
like five playoff teams right for Bills Games, Cowboys, Patriots, Chiefs, Broncos, Eagles.
So they could finish, they could go two and four,
probably not one in five, let's say two and four,
and this opportunity then to take their season win total
over if you like them in the playoff, take them
(50:36):
to make the player like, there's ways to do this
during the season. Two to make yourself money.
Speaker 4 (50:40):
You know what, I love are some of these teams
that are grouped together with the same season win total.
For instance, at eight and a half, they're three teams Denver, Atlanta,
and the Vikings. So think about just last season, just
as a reference point. Denver had five wins. You go
all the way up to Minnesota they had they had thirteen.
Speaker 6 (51:02):
Win teams, yeah.
Speaker 4 (51:04):
All three among others like Pittsburgh and Seattle, they're all
at eight and a half. I love that. I also
love the teams where I'm like, I don't know, could
go either way. Cleveland at nine and a half. Could
I see Deshaun Watson coming back to form and looking
like his normal self. Yeah, I could see They've made
(51:24):
a couple of upgrades defensively. Could I see Cleveland getting
to ten wins, Yeah, I could see it. Could I
see them being under ten yeah? Under nine wins? Yeah,
I could see them nine or under. So some of
those teams where I just don't have a great sense,
but I think, you know, you look at Dallas at
nine and a half, think about last year. Not everything
is tied to last season. Some of it is. Dak
(51:46):
Prescott missed five games. Dak Prescott was one of the
league leaders in interceptions last season and they still won
twelve games. Yeah, that's a loaded roster because they lost Zeke.
Zeke didn't do a whole lot last year anyway, So
Tony Pollard takes over. I think Dallas in an NFC
that is far from a gauntlet. I know it's a
(52:07):
decent division, obviously with the Eagles there, Giants aren't a
push over. Washington was a five hundred team. That's not
a cake division. But conference wise, you ask yourself, do
you see Dallas at nine and eight or worse? No,
I see them at least at ten and seven.
Speaker 5 (52:23):
We're in agreeance on that, all three of us. That's
a wise guy. Side. By the way, over nine and
a half. Dallas was an early pick by many gambling
syndicates that are very sharp, so you mentioned a good
one there, Brian. Also you mentioned Cleveland. I've seen some
sharp guys on Cleveland overs. I haven't seen any unders.
So there's two teams that are people are betting overs on. Listen.
I'm an underguy. I love betting unders on things. I
(52:45):
love going against the public loves betting overs. It's a
normal thing. It's our human condition is made up of
winning betting overs, cheering, drinking a beer, having fun. I
usually am under so, but we're mentioning some overs here
Green Bay, Dallas, Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (52:59):
Wow, But do you do the exact opposite cracks like
you said, cheering, drinking a beer, betting the over, is
it betting the under booing? And drinking soda? How do
you exactly do it all across the board?
Speaker 5 (53:11):
Let's not let's not lie, it's they, it's soda. But
uh yeah, no, uh yeah yeah. I don't choose to
take any kind of anything that that will make my
mind wander off. You know, when I'm in the casino
or a sports book, or just home my buddies or something,
I'm looking to be serious and maybe bet some second
half stuff. Look at the later games, look at the
(53:32):
bet props. There's no time for anything like that. But
as far as rooting, I don't even root. It doesn't
even matter.
Speaker 6 (53:39):
He's just looking at his bets.
Speaker 5 (53:41):
I'm very poor. I'm boring when I crack.
Speaker 6 (53:44):
Don't don't is a don't is a don't don't pass
That guy, yeah, who he liked all all the table
want to.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
Want to want to? I'm a guy on the end
of the table. My head down and just collecting the money.
Hopefully you're right.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
Right, that's right. We've got Bill Krackenberger from Crackwins dot
com sports handicapper Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran. I'm
Brian No coming up next, prop it up season long
prop bets in the NFL. Crack will have many, and
it'd be wise to pay attention to them closely. That's
(54:21):
on the way. It is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to
Kickoff presented by BETMGM.
Speaker 7 (54:26):
For this repet they put.
Speaker 6 (54:27):
In now Sherberton, you need to rob me now, not
even beating all the customers tonight, Huff Kidney.

the group text, but anybody knew. It's like, hey, if
you you guys are noticing you can't send video and
it's cousin no and his and.
Speaker 6 (55:10):
Yeah, you you ruin our group threads. You're Android people,
and your and your stuffiness and your uppiness about your phones,
and you're ruin our threads. I have to send over.
You know, we we we share a lot of a
lot of x's. I guess now I might be less
on that side. They if they take those blocks feature away,
I'll tell you that. And you know that the links
(55:30):
coming funky and videos can't be shared. It's your fault, Brian,
this is what is You're selfish.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
It's okay. I'm fine with that. I've been I've been
shunned so long for having an Android that I can't
I can't go now, I can't join the iPhone dark side.
Let's get to the the season long prop bets. Let's
dive right on into this.
Speaker 3 (55:54):
Prop it up player plays.
Speaker 4 (55:57):
Okay, so we're looking at individual well season long prop bets.
This is like Christmas in I would say April, June, July, August,
because if you've been making bets all off season, crack.
You could go with QB's running backs, wide receivers, any
of the NFL is your oyster, what do you start
(56:17):
to hone in on as you're making these individual season
long prop bets.
Speaker 5 (56:22):
Well, you know, if you guys only knew us. See,
you guys do know because you've seen copies of my
tickets and bets before. But I tie up a lot
of money this time of the year. Like literally, there's
not enough money I can get my hands on to
tie up on these season long over unders. And let's
just face it, I'm more of an under player. And
(56:43):
like I said earlier, but there's really a lot of
back tested method to this you don't really need. It's
almost the common sense method too. I bet unders on players,
you know, for the yardage for the season. All it
takes is is one or two games where they're out
with an injury and they get hurt, carried off the
field for a couple of plays, come back in, back
and forth, maybe rest a little gingerly the next week
(57:06):
on it. So I'm looking the bet unders on you
know this year probably eighty percent. Last year was ninety
percent unders. Probably eighty percent. I do have a couple
overs mixed in, but you know, I just I know
I recommend this with people and they get upset. They
get nervous and oh my god, how many plays do
you have? Like when I'm walking through a casino, which
I just did recently in Connecticut, and I was stopped
(57:28):
by a couple different people asking me what I'm betting,
and they said, I don't want that. I want something
that plays, Like, what give me a game today? What
do you like in the Dodger game? No, there's no
like I'm looking long term here. I'm looking at something
that has a ten percent plus edge, sixty sixty five
percent return compared to a straight bet. And let me
just tell you, I'll just mention some of them here
(57:49):
to your shopping because lots of spots have this up.
But bet MGM does have these up too, all unders
here on rushing yards. I want to go through these
real quickly. You guys has Nagie Harris, under Cam Akers,
under Bryan Robertson, under David Montgomery, under Dalvin Cook, under
James Connor, totally Tony Pollard. All these guys have bet
(58:11):
under on their season long rushing yards. And again, let
me tell you, you have a built in advantage here because
people don't like betting unders, so the sportsbooks already know
it's implied that I can imply to odds they actually
add a little bit to a lot of things here.
A lot of these yards are added, but do your
shopping still some really good Like I said before, low
(58:32):
hanging fruit out out there. Love the unders again on
these rushing yards. But like I do have a couple
of overs mixed in this year, which I don't really
even want to give an over out, but I guess
I will also Beckham receiving touchdowns. I just seen this
again today. I have under five and a half late
a dollar forty on that on his receiving touchdowns. But
(58:54):
I'll just keep on going. A couple of the overs
that I did play again, I don't know. I don't
want to give it. I'm not giving a war. Come on,
come on, passing yards. Let's give you three unders on
passing yards too. This is not gonna be fan favorites
here because Hurts has such a grazing Hurts under, Prescott
under and Wilson under. Even though I think Dallas is
(59:17):
gonna have a good season with Prescott, I still think
I seen forty one hundred yards. Jesus, there's some uh.
And I think Wilson probably will come back from last
season A little bit still like the under though, So
sorry to be boring, guys, sorry to like all these unders. Uh,
this is about money. My allegiance is my bank roll.
I have no allegiance to a player, to a team.
I don't care about them. They don't care about me.
(59:38):
I care about money.
Speaker 6 (59:40):
All right, I'm gonna raise you one crack on my podcast,
Josh Rokes Smarter than you. Guys can check it out
anywhere you want. We are. We go through every division
in the NFL and we give out our favorite wagers.
All right, and we're doing a project this year where
we take the under for every starting running back in
the NFL.
Speaker 5 (59:59):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
Yeah, because it has shown year after year that you're
gonna hit a lot of these You're gonna hit seventy
percent of these unders. Yeah, we're doing it for all
of them. Every starting running back in the NFL. We're
taking their under. I don't care like I might think
they're gonna go over. We we we've taken. We did
NFC East. We took rashod of Penny under six hundred.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
Yards, two hundred yards.
Speaker 6 (01:00:23):
That's it under. He's been over that total once in
his career. We took all the unders because to your point,
it's not fun. But we're supposed to be winning money, right,
that's the goal of what of wagering. And last year
Buddy Mine sent me this thing he took basically, in
twenty twenty two, he bet the under for the top
five leaders in passing, rushing, and receiving from the previous
(01:00:46):
season for the previous years, so twenty twenty one's leaders.
He bet the under for the top five of passing yards,
rushing yards, and received and he hit twelve of fifteen unders. Wow,
like it's it's I know it's not fun, but I
will give you a couple overs. I will give you
overs that I like just to just to make it,
just to make it fun. I like George Pickens over
(01:01:06):
four and a half touchdowns. That number is ridiculously low.
He had four last season. He's gonna be better in
year two in Pittsburgh. Kenny Pickett's gonna better in year
two in Pittsburgh. That to me is one that I like.
I know this number is up there, but Tyreek Hill
over thirteen hundred and a half receiving yards. I just
I'm betting on Tuess Day and healthy. It's seventeen hundred
(01:01:28):
yards last season and to a miss five games five games.
I like two guys to go over there. Well, I
think I have one right now. But Michael Parson's over
twelve and a half sacks. That number feels low to me.
He's been over thirteen two straight seasons, and he's not
been a full time pass rusher. This year, he's gonna
be a full time pass rusher.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
So like that.
Speaker 6 (01:01:49):
I like TJ. Watt over thirteen and a half sacks.
He's back from injury. Guys he's had I think he
had fifteen, then twenty two and a half last year
was hurt. I like sack totals. I hit pretty well
Bosa last year. I hit Bosa's last year and then
last over. I like so far Almana Saint Brown over
about thousand yards. It depends where you get at he had.
(01:02:13):
He had eleven and sixty one last season. He's their
best receiving option in the offense that gets kind of
some easy yards every now and then. So those that's
sort of what I like. But I cracked. I'm telling
you I took every running back under for this season.
I took Jalen Hurts under rushing as well. I'm along
the same lines of you, and just kind of what
its production might be this season.
Speaker 5 (01:02:32):
I'd like to see what happens at the end of
the year. And I'll tell you what if I had
a wager, Yes, no, I'd be on your side. So
just a vanilla under there across the board. And now,
now what did you do there? You're picking one. They're
they're just they're they're a big starting quarter by the
big starting running back for each team.
Speaker 6 (01:02:48):
I'm trying to I mean, like it depends, so somewh
aren't listed yet. It's just kind of the way it
is on some websites, you know, some some points that
unfortunately you know, don't live in a state that has them.
But yeah, if if you're like listed as a starter,
you know, like like you know, the Panthers, for example,
have a couple of guys that are going to use
But sanderd Miles standers at nine hundred and zero point
five rushing yards, like that's that's too many. He's not
gonna get that many an offense that rotates running backs.
(01:03:12):
You know, I just you know, I took Travis etn Under,
I took there. I'm looking at my list right now.
Derek Henry under, I took Damian Pierce under. I just
hit them all, man, I just hit them all.
Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
I like some of these quarterback touchdown totals touchdown passes
that are under twenty. So some of these stand out.
Kenny Pikett, Steelers quarterback. The total is at eighteen and
a half. Oh, it's actually juiced to the under.
Speaker 6 (01:03:37):
He'll be over that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
Yeah, I think under like I think over as well. No,
like over, I like over on that, but it's juice
to the under crack. What do you like on right?
Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
No, I mean listen, I think Pittsburgh's gonna You guys
said it earlier, Pittsburgh. One of you guys said something
about their season wins. I actually looked at it, as
you said when I bet MGM and looked at it.
I lean more over to the season wins than not.
I think pickets. Do you know he's had a season
under his belt here, I think I would lean that way.
I'm not vetting it though. I'll give you my favorite,
(01:04:06):
my favorite line. I'm rooting for you.
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
Yeah, there you go. Do you think last year Daniel
Jones of the Giants, he had what seventeen touchdown passes fifteen,
fifteen and five last year, so his line is at
seventeen and a half. Like in today's NFL, a veteran
quarterback getting to eighteen touchdown passes in a season is
(01:04:30):
not earth shattering, but for Daniel Jones it might be
Desmond Ritter, the Falcons rookie quarterback. Well sorry for first
year starter. Ish had four starts last year, but second
year in the league. Fifteen and a half is his
touchdown pass prop and it's again juiced to the under
under very well hit there.
Speaker 6 (01:04:50):
I took this underpassing at twenty six hundred, which is
like nothing. But I just don't think that dude, he's
They don't throw, they don't throw the ball lots, and
I don't think he's anything special. And I think at
some point Heimiche might seekerfield.
Speaker 4 (01:05:06):
Hey, you might be right, it's possible, but the weapons
around him. Drake London want to see if Kyle Pitts
has a resurgence, had a great rookie season, not so
much last year. And then Jon Robinson man that you're right,
they're going to run the ball a lot. Arthur Smith
is like run it, run it clouds three yards in
a cloud at dust. It's a lot of what they
(01:05:26):
do over there. Hey, we'll continue the discussion here in
a bit. First though, Isaac Loewen Crown, Who's gonna spin
us around the sporting landscape? What's going on there?
Speaker 7 (01:05:35):
I low and we will start in New York, where
The New York Post reported a short time ago that
Aaron Rodgers will make his Jets debut in next Saturday's
pre season finale against the New York Giants. Meanwhile, NFL
media reporting today he Goes linebacker Miles Jack is retiring
from the NFL Saturday night's game between the Patriots and Packers,
(01:05:57):
and Lambeau was suspended in the fourth quarter because of
an injury to Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden, who was taken
to a hospital after an inadvertent helmet to helmet collision.
The Patriots said Bolden had feeling in all of his extremities.
The Patriots announced this morning that Bolden has been released
from the hospital and will travel home with the team today.
Bolden himself tweeted today, appreciate the prayers. More excited to
(01:06:21):
be back with the guys today. Spain won the Women's
World Cup with a one nothing victory over England on
a goal by Alga Carmona in the twenty ninth minute.
And here it is back by popular demand, the call
of the goal in Spain on the radio broadcast of
Tablero Deportivo r N from DJ Fernando Cardinal and DJ
(01:06:46):
Mickey Camino and Fernando and Mickey will be spinning tunes
(01:07:18):
at a club on El Camino Los Ramblas in Barcelona
to celebrate this momentous victory.
Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
Back to you, Thank you, I Loo. It is Fox

(01:07:46):
One of the guys I'm really interested to see is
Packers quarterback Jordan Love obviously taking over for Aaron Rodgers
right there. This listen, guys, young quarterback. He's thrown eighty
three passes in the NFL, throwing two young weapons. They
have either first or second year guys. They have a
couple of rookie tight ends, rookie slot receivers, second year
(01:08:07):
wide receivers. I don't think it's gonna be prolific. I
think they're gonna be a lot of growing pains. So
if you look at Jordan Love in terms of yardage
thirty three forty nine and a half, also touchdowns at
twenty one and a half, I don't see him north
of twenty one touchdown passes with eighty three career at Temps.
I just don't see it. I think they're gonna pound
(01:08:28):
the rock. I think they're gonna be the Patriots of
the NFC. I think they're gonna rely on their defense,
try to run the ball effectively, mix in the passing game.
I don't see twenty two touchdown passes from Jordan Love this.
Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
Year, not with the weapons he has either, right, I
mean that's that's part of it as well. There's just
you know, there's there's a lack of I think of
that's why Aaron Rodgers probably wanted to leave. They're just
there's just not you know, the weapons Arenor is great
there And to your point, I think they're gonna try
to make sure that he doesn't have to be the
(01:09:01):
offense that's pretty bad. Right, fourth year in the NFL,
your first round pick, and they're like, they're hopeful that
you're not the offense. You're the reason they basically don't win. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
Yeah, that's where they're at. That's just not part of
their formula. And man, you could spend all day on
these season long prop bets. I'll ask crack this, how
much of your bank roll percentage wise, would you say
is tied up with season long prop bets?
Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Well, I tell you it's not for the week harder,
that's for sure, a very large percent. I'll tell you
one thing I'll invest. I'm not going to say the
dollar amount because probably won't most people won't believe it.
But you know, I started this thing out thirty years ago,
guys with literally one thousand bucks, one thousand dollars dedicated
(01:09:52):
for sports betting. And and you know, when you're talking
about percentage of bankroll one or two percent, that's ten
or twenty dollars doesn't sound very fun even today, someone
that has a thousand bucks that you cannot win. The
smartest people in the world, the people with the bet information,
the best information in the world, you cannot win. You know,
having a thousand dollars just allotted for gambling and betting
(01:10:14):
one hundred dollars a play with the best information of
the world, ten percent, you can't do it. So as
far as percentage of bankroll, I'll probably have a good
twenty twenty five percent of my bankroll in of my
gambling bankroll in action on season long props. Now, it's
getting harder and harder to make these bets for myself.
(01:10:34):
I have to go to the counters now instead of
some of the apps. And but they let your re
bet them, so you can keep on rebetting them as
long as you give them a couple of minutes to
move the line. If they don't choose to move them,
well then I like to go, you know, double down,
triple down on them. So I do bet a lot
of money on them. But the ROI on them compared
to the regular season is so much greater that it's
(01:10:55):
worth that exposure. It's worth you know, me putting more
on the line there than anything else.
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
I love.
Speaker 5 (01:11:03):
I love props every week. Though you have to understand,
you guys will know that when we listen to the
show this year, I'll be giving out, you know, a
lot of live stuff, and and we just between us
last year we just destroyed we destroyed bookmakers on this show,
especially the first dozen shows last year during the regular season,
(01:11:23):
there was bookmakers a Monday morning hiding under the bed
from us.
Speaker 4 (01:11:26):
So yeah, so I remember what was it, week one
or week two with the Niners and the Bears were
under weekon and oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
We had that information before it even came on air though,
But how bad it was. And then when the TVs
come on and the sideline reporters starts showing, and then
you have all the big names on TV showing what's
going on in the background. I remember Jeff actually saying
it last year when it came on. We already had
that information a half hour before it came on TV,
to bet both quarterbacks under on passing yards because it's
(01:11:59):
the wind, but it's not just the rain. It's the
win that means everything. And we had that information here
on the show and throughout the season we had great,
great information like that, and people that listen in the
they really cashed in. So hopefully we live up to
the If we do half as good as last year,
it's a great season. That's how good last year was.
But we're planning to though.
Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
I mean, you already got books moving preseason lines crack,
So I mean, yeah, you know they're worried about you already.
Speaker 5 (01:12:26):
Yeah. No, you guys see when I when I tell
you guys something in the chat, it does go our way.
We're going to have the best of it by the
time that the balls in the air, that's for sure.
And that's what it is. It's over and over again.
As long as you have the best of it, as
long as you get what we call CLV closing line value.
In the end, that equals money. It equals money, so
(01:12:47):
over the long term, over the long period, you just
have to have stay in control, bank roll management, don't chase.
You know, everyone loves Saturday. You know, even though we're
an NFL show. I love when I see people Saturday
betting the whole Hawaii midnight game. They just they have nothing.
It's just action at midnight. Come on, guys, either if
it's either a player, it's not a play. It's not
(01:13:09):
just because it's the last game on TV. The same
thing with the Sunday, Monday Night and Thursday night games
in the NFL. Do you have to have a bet? Yes, Yes,
most people have to have a bet. Yes, there's no
love of the game. There's love of the bank roll.
Speaker 6 (01:13:22):
I'll tell you what it does. Go ahead, Jeff, Hawaii
plus seven hosting Stanford in week one. Yeah, put it down.
Oh yeah, hosting the Cardinal in Hawaii. It's not the
late game. I think it's it's like, it's not that,
it's like a little earlier.
Speaker 5 (01:13:36):
But do you like Florida better than that? Because Florida
you gave us out early in a chat, I.
Speaker 6 (01:13:40):
Like, I like them the same. I don't really like.
I don't I don't really ever have games where I
feel like, like, oh my god, this is like the
locks don't exist. I like them the same.
Speaker 5 (01:13:51):
Sure, there's no Loucks. We know.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
Hey, we'll get to uh Stanford in complete desperation mode
at the top of the hour. Also look at the
PAC twelve. We'll get to college football at the top
of the hour. Coming up next, though, we want to
look at a certain market. Would you take this guy
or would you take the field We've got Jeff Schwartz,
eight year NFL veteran Bill Krackenberger sportsandicapper from crackwins dot com.
(01:14:17):
I'm Brian, though it is Fox Sports Radios Campdown to
Kickoff presented by BETTMGM. It is Fox Sports Radios Campdown
to Kickoff presented by bet MGM. Be sure to follow
BETMGM across all socials at BETMGM Manfellows. So we look
at the comeback player of the Year market, Damar Hamlin,
(01:14:38):
not surprisingly the overwhelming favorite, Bill's safety. He's at minus
three hundred, slapping the field. Everybody else, like the closest competitors,
are at twenty to one. There are four different players,
Tua Tongue of Iloa, Lamar Jackson, John Metchi, the Texans
(01:15:00):
receiver who missed his rookie season battling lymphoma last year,
and then Bryce Hall, the Jets running back who had
a knee injury. All those guys are twenty to one.
DeMar Hamlin is minus three hundred. So let's keep it simple.
Would you if you're betting on this, would you bet
DeMar Hamlin? Or would you take the field here? If
(01:15:21):
it's either or Knowing Tamar Hamlin's story, where listen. He
suffered cardiac arrest, He nearly died on the field, rushed
to the hospital. He makes it it's an unbelievable story,
very inspiring, but just bankroll your allegiance. Is your bankroll crack?
Are you betting on Damar Hamlin or are you betting
on the field. If it's one or the.
Speaker 5 (01:15:42):
Other, listen to. I actually loved when this kid was
on the SPS and the whole he gave credit the
team won the award and it was really emotional, great stuff.
But now the money's on the line here. Now they
want to put up a money line on him coming
back for the year. Can't lay three to one on
anything like that. I just can't. I would have to
(01:16:04):
if there's a field bet, or if there's a guess
no portion of the bet, I would. But either way,
I listen. If he if he wanted, it would be
a great feeling and a great thing for him. I
kinda would like maybe a Tua or a Jackson, these
guys that you know went down last year. But I
kind of got mad at Lamar. Let's just call it.
(01:16:26):
He was sitting those last few games. He wasn't injured,
you know, trying to get a new contract and stuff.
But I'll have to defer to Jeff on this one.
As far as betting it, I'm not betting it. If
I was looking to bet it, I'm not laying three
to one on anything like that.
Speaker 6 (01:16:42):
Oh he's winning this award, So I mean, if you
want to make money, you can lay three to one.
If not, you can bet someone else. Like he's gonna
make the team, he's gonna play, Yeah, any tackles last season,
he's a part of the defense. He's gonna play like
and yeah, I mean you don't want to lay three
to one everyone, sure I would do that. If I
had endless amounts of money like cracked us to wager
(01:17:04):
on these things, I would for sure lay three to one.
I mean, I feel like you're just you're just winning money.
I understand that you know the the odds here. You
put yourself a little bit of of an exposed position here.
But this is another one where you can get out
of this one, right, Like, let's say that DeMar Hamlin
goes out and gets hurt in week one and you
(01:17:26):
have to go somewhere some other direction. There aren't many choices.
It's Lamar, it's to uh priest hal Dalvin Cooks there.
Priest is probably not gonna win this award. This is
an award you can get out of if if you
think that Hamlet's not gonna win it in my opinion,
and so I would want one hundred percent be okay
putting down money on this.
Speaker 4 (01:17:46):
I would wait. If you're going to mar Hamlin, I
would just wait because the main reason he got but
the reason was he was on the field last year
because he had safeties that were injured. You get Micah Hyde,
you get Jordan Poyer back tomorrow. Hamlin's basically their fourth
safety as it stands right now, so it matter just wait.
I would say, just wait a little bit, because let's
(01:18:06):
say Lamar's ripping it up or Tua is off to
a great start. I think you're gonna get tomorrow at
a better, better price. And if you think he's gonna
be the guy, I would just hold off a little
bit and then get in on him.
Speaker 5 (01:18:16):
So what Brian's saying is there's gonna be a market
after week one works. It's great with these new sportsbooks
that comes to the country like bet MGM, and you
can actually bet at a later time as the season
goes on, you can bet a lot of different things.
So quick point.
Speaker 4 (01:18:30):
Brian, Yeah, there you go. I'm here for you. Crank
you know right, need information. I'm your guy, all right?
Coming up next NFL divisions, team by team, underdogs, favorites,
all that good stuff coming up.
Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Are you ready to witness quatness quatness?
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
NFL fans, Welcome to the largest tailgate party in the nation.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
Fifty three is the in game. We're here to break
it all down. Well, let's go.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff, presented by
Bett mg app.
Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
Now we're live from your tail game.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Here's Brian no Hyar, NFL vetteran Jeff Schwartz at sports
handicapper from crackwins dot com Bill Crack Krackenberger.
Speaker 4 (01:19:32):
Oh, good morning everybody, slash afternoon, depending on where you're
at in the country. Appreciate you checking out the show.
Back for another football season. I'll tell you what, fellas.
You're big prop bet guy Crack and I am too,
but I love betting on these divisional odds. So every
team they have their odds to win their respective divisions
(01:19:55):
and we see it every single year. We'll have a
team that comes out of no to win the division.
So to look at the long shots, who has a
decent shot to pull a shocker? I mean it seems
like a diamond in the rough right now, but I
mean you go back to last season. Think about Jacksonville,
good example, coming off a three and fourteen season, they
won the AFC South at nine to eight. And so
(01:20:18):
when you look at the bottom feeders in terms of
odds this season, it's not looking sexy right now. But
every single year you see a shocker, someone from third
the previous year, someone from last place that wins the division.
You see anybody when you're looking through this, like, I'll
give you, for instance, the last place teams at least
(01:20:40):
at the last place odds, I'll say, and most of
them were last place teams last year. Patriots, Steelers, Texans, Raiders, Commanders, Packers,
Tampa Bay, Arizona Cardinals. Like I'm not just racing, like
like Tom Cruise in a Mission Impossible movie, like running
(01:21:03):
all robotically to the betting window to bet any of
those teams. But I wouldn't be shocked if one of
those teams ends up winning their respective division.
Speaker 6 (01:21:12):
Jack, I have Bill, I mean, there's four options here.
If we're doing this right, the four options are New
England and a very tough AFC East. Feels unlikely, right,
That feels like I think New England's better than people think,
actually because they have a real offensive coach now on
Bill O'Brien. But win the vision. I mean you're gonna
look at twelve wins in that division eleven it feels unlikely. Right.
(01:21:36):
Pittsburgh is plus four fifty. They're a great bet. They're
a great option in my opinion for this. Right, then
you look at at Green Bay at plus four hundred,
and if Jordan Love is good, they're in the conversation.
The best long shot to me is Washington at plus
one thousand. Sam how I don't think it's gonna be
any good. But if he is, team's pretty good. They're
(01:22:00):
good on defense every year, offensively, a lot of weapons,
a lot of dudes. If we think the Eagles take
a little bit bit of a slight downward trajectory, I
know you're hind the Cowboys crack. But the Cowboys I
think are the most untrustworthy team all season, every season.
And the Giants, I think we all agree slide back
a little bit plus one thousand for Washington. They're I
(01:22:23):
think my favorite choice.
Speaker 5 (01:22:24):
I've seen plus two thousand. Actually ive seen plus twenty
to one.
Speaker 6 (01:22:27):
Actually, that feels like the best option we're looking for,
like a real true long shot.
Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
Yeah, what I was gonna say was Jacksonville. Would you
guys believe Jacksonville is a one sixty favorite in the
AFC South. It's just hard to believe after one year of,
like Brian said, three wins the previous year. Yes, they're,
of course, they're probably the best team in that division.
But I'll tell you what, give me the Titans at
(01:22:52):
four to one. I hear, give me the Titans at
four to one. I Am not going to be laying
those points.
Speaker 4 (01:22:59):
Can't do it, okay, guy.
Speaker 6 (01:23:02):
So here's here's something to here's something to really think
about in this discussion, which is which makes it really hard.
So most years, the division winners, high majority of them
are the best quarterback in the division. So let's go
last year, right, Josh Allen okay, right, Joe Burrow all right,
Trevor Lawrence yep, Patrick Mahomes yep. Jalen Hurts okay. So
(01:23:26):
when I were five for five, right, Minnesota Vikings last season?
Was Cousins better than Aaron Rodgers last year?
Speaker 4 (01:23:31):
Last year he was so six for six?
Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
Now Tom Brady? Was he the best in the NFC South?
Sure he was. Now we're seven for seven? All right?
Now we have Brock Purdy. Okay, but again it is
he better than than than Gino Smith? Is he better
than an injured Rams quarterback? Or whatever the Cardinals rolled
out there half the season? So seven of eight? How
(01:23:55):
about we throw the NFC West out? So seven of
eight divisions were won by the best quarterback? So are
we doing a combination of Ryan Tannehill, Malik Willis and
Will Levis are winning the ANC South over Jacksonville and
the best quarterback in the division. So like it actually
can be boiled down pretty simply to who has the
better quarterback even if he would do twenty twenty one
(01:24:17):
Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Ryan Tannehill that season was better
than whatever the Colts, Texas and Jaguars had, Patrick Mahomes,
Dak Prescott again, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Matt Stafford. It's
not complicated at times. So to me, Tennessee has no
chance with the vision unless.
Speaker 5 (01:24:36):
That's why you're getting the four to one too. You
got to put that in the equation, Like if you
were to bet the nose side of that, Jeff, would
you lay five to one note Tennessee.
Speaker 6 (01:24:43):
No, Which is why my Washington wager plus a thousand
win division is kind of a not great because a
lot of things have to happen. But I mean that's
why these the worst to first thing is probably got
to be Kenny Pickett. I mean probably right, and he's
probably the best of those eight quarterbacks in those teams
(01:25:04):
that are at the bottom there. So I'm just a
hard knowing. I like Mike Rabel. I think he's a
fantastic coach. He gets the most out of the players
he has. But their offensive line is stinky, is bad
right now, they have no quarterback. I can't buy tennis.
I'm sorry, Crack. I wish you the best. I wish
you bet, I'm rooting for you.
Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
I just think sometimes, and I'm not saying you're doing this, Jeff,
but I think sometimes how we feel going into this
season has too much to do with what happened last season.
Where you think about Jacksonville, they had that huge comeback
playoff win against the Chargers, and then they were going
toe to toe with the Chiefs. Now Mahomes got injured
(01:25:43):
in the second quarter and they still lost convincingly. They
were never a real threat to win that game, but
they made it to the divisional round of the playoffs.
I still go back to Week eighteen. Guys, we were
in where Cincinnati together and we're watching the Jags and
Titans in basically a win and in scenario, it's Joshua
(01:26:05):
Dobbs is the Titans quarterback, getting been there for two weeks.
It's a coin toss game in Jacksonville, you know what
I mean. Like, that's what it came down to. So
for Tennessee, who the wheels fell off the tracks. They
had seven straight losses, but they had Joshua Dobbs as
their quarterback for a couple of starts down the stretch.
I just look at this and I say, the lines
(01:26:26):
are telling you the Jags are four times as likely
to win the division as the Titans are. I just
can't get behind that as far as the value goes.
Speaker 6 (01:26:38):
Yeah, that, by the way, that sportsbook is not infamous.
Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
We were, oh my god, what a beautiful sportsbook. We
were in guys in Cincinnati overlooking the stadium there and
the baseball stadium and and yeah, it's it's it is infamous,
and uh, interesting stories come out about there. I don't know,
I'll let you guys tell them.
Speaker 6 (01:26:56):
I mean interesting. That's with Alabama baseball coach Losses loss
his career because he tried to bet eight one hundred
thousand dollars on a Tuesday college baseball game.
Speaker 5 (01:27:05):
My god, well, the guy, the.
Speaker 6 (01:27:09):
Buddy that it was the buddy that was doing him. Yeah,
and playing side of the security cameras. I could read
his text messages. Crackt. How hard do you think people
were laughing in that sports book when this guy tried
to place that wager down, like.
Speaker 5 (01:27:22):
People think it's so much easier. When sports betting was
coming to the country and New Jersey was going uh legal. Uh,
I think it was Al Lighter was saying, Oh, yeah
you would. I wouldn't want no one betting three hundred
thousand dollars. Next pitch is a strike. Al give me
a break. You know what you're talking about before you
come on air. You can't bet. You can't bet three
hundred thousand on a game, never mind the next pitch
(01:27:43):
being a strike. Or ball exactly right, Jeff, How could
you bet a college It's so it's so much harder
than people think. You know, I had really good information
on an NBA game earlier last year that there was
going to be an injury and someone. Now you're all
hard to get down on an NBA side, which is
the second biggest sport. You know, bet here NFL then NBA.
(01:28:05):
It's really tough to get big money down. I don't
know what this guy was thinking. These guys had no
inkling what the market was, just to walk into a
sports book, even though it's a legal, licensed sports book
in the state of Ohio and bet more than a
couple grand or something. So kind of How about this.
Speaker 4 (01:28:21):
If you look at the NFL Division odds and you're
looking at the teams that are in third place in
terms of the way the money goes like the odds,
so they have the third longest odds to win the division.
There are a couple of interesting selections. Let's go at
the AFC. Okay, four teams. Who would you like the most? Dolphins, Browns, Colts, Broncos.
(01:28:47):
The odds range from three to one to five to one.
But Dolphins, could you see them winning the AFC East, Yeah,
I could see.
Speaker 5 (01:28:53):
Could you see the.
Speaker 4 (01:28:53):
Browns winning the AFC North, I could see it. Who
do you like most between Dolphins, Brown's, Cold Broncos to
win their respective division?
Speaker 6 (01:29:03):
Oh, Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
Yeah, I like the Dolphins too. There, I think they
this is not the you know, the buffalo we've seen
they could be. They could be beaten. Every year they've
they've had losses that are just shocking, when like Jacksonville
two seasons ago, they were like a seventeen point favorite.
I mean, these teams, the Jets listen, like I said
earlier about hard knocks, our eyes play tricks on us.
It's amazing that I loo announced about the New York Post.
(01:29:27):
Rogers doesn't play preseason, so I don't really understand they
has it. I don't think he's placed in his twenty eighteen,
so to see him playing a game preseason should be interesting.
To take a few series there. But yeah, the Dolphins
being the third choice there, I actually see three and
a half to one in front of me. So yeah,
that's an interesting pick too. And some of the wise
guys are on Cleveland too this year, you know, not
(01:29:48):
saying we don't know the status of Burrow. Burrow's playing.
We know that he's pretty. He's you know, really, even
though he went down in a preseason game, he'll be okay.
But you know, you just don't know. Baltimore is supposed
to be a good team this year, Baltimore coming back,
Lamar getting this big contract. But Cleveland at Ford, I
see fod to one here and then Pittsburgh at five
to one.
Speaker 6 (01:30:07):
There.
Speaker 4 (01:30:07):
There's some good second third choices.
Speaker 5 (01:30:10):
Here across the whole league. There's no real big standouts
for me. Of course, maybe the Chiefs, but you have
to lay a dollar sixty five or something like that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:20):
So the thing about Rogers, by the way, I saw
that report that he's playing against the Giants and there,
and this is I think, just like an ode to
the fans. I know it's a Giants home game. I
think it is, but I think it's the idea of
like we're playing in Metlife's Jets fans. I think it
was John Fox with the Panthers, and I don't remember this correctly.
(01:30:41):
He would play his starters in the preseason in Game
four for a drive if we were at home, if
we were on the road, we wouldn't just to like
get the fan incide about it. And I know it's
a Giants home game technically, but I think it's like
one of those things we're like, yeah, well let's get
Roger out the first series.
Speaker 5 (01:30:58):
They'll be going crazy. There are you killing nuts that
first series?
Speaker 6 (01:31:02):
Maybe they just want a bunch of Jets fans at
a Giants home game too. I mean, he'll play a
drive man. But I also think with the Jets too,
they're sort of finalizing their offensive line, and I think
it would be good to get a series or two
with like your starting offensive line out there with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (01:31:18):
Yeah, that makes sense to me, Absolutely it does. And
that listen if it makes sense to get Aaron Rodgers
a drive because he's on a new team and you
want some continuity, some chemistry. How in the world did
Anthony Richardson Colts quarterback who's a daisy fresh rookie not
get on the field yesterday when he's obviously got brand
(01:31:39):
new teammates. Also, Aaron Rodgers been in the league since
what five and he's gonna get on the field out
How are you not throwing Anthony Richardson out there? That
is that's amazing for me.
Speaker 6 (01:31:51):
Pass he almost completed that nice passage.
Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
Off the bills last week. Yeah, yeah, we're good. We'll
just call it good speed forward to week one, I
guess right then.
Speaker 6 (01:31:59):
Wait, are you okay with this? With this hurricane coming
through Vegas. I'm seeing like pictures out of Vegas, like
the little sphere things broken.
Speaker 5 (01:32:07):
The first time ever I've lived here about eighteen years now,
first time ever that I could even hear of anything
like this. I literally I heard that even California the
eighteen hundreds, they haven't had nothing like this happened.
Speaker 6 (01:32:19):
So I think said nineteen thirty nine was the last
one they hit in Long Beach.
Speaker 8 (01:32:23):
Oh wow, it's crazy like much of the Weather Channel,
and you know, like it's not that bad, right, Yeah,
it's like nothing happening.
Speaker 5 (01:32:33):
There in Carolina where once in a while, I don't
know if they're coming in like as much as were you.
Speaker 6 (01:32:38):
We get them. We get them every now and then. Yeah,
a couple of years ago we had one that was
actually forced me to put a generator in because we
were out of power for a little bit of time.
But yeah, no, this is like from California. So I
saw the forecast, right two inches of rain in Santa Monica. Man,
it's gonna it's gonna decimate the community to be devastated.
Speaker 5 (01:32:56):
Wow, two inches of rain will decimate the community. That's amazing.
I've been through. I mean, I've been through Santa Monica
many times. I used to love it there. It was
so nice. It's actually probably went down a little bit
there since the pandemic. But you know, the Third Tree
Prominent and stuff, great places over there. Rain I liked.
I love Why is this guys? I love to watch
(01:33:18):
a bad weather game on TV, not only US bad snow,
but the sideways rain. I love watching those guys out there. Jeff,
have you played in those conditions?
Speaker 6 (01:33:29):
So I've played in a snow sleep game. In twenty thirteen,
we're playing in Washington. Remember that was the same week
of that famous Eagles Lions game that was like in
eight inches of snow. If you remember that game with
DeShawn McCoy's scored a touchdown that game. Oh yeah, So
we were playing in DC the same day. It didn't
snow quite as bad, but the first half all the time,
(01:33:49):
I love it played in snow. First half it snowed.
We were up thirty five seven a half time. I
think there's a famous picture I'll send you guys of
the start of the third quarter at FedEx Field. There's
a jit three thousand fans in the standstill. I mean
it's like nobody there. And the second half was just sleep,
which sleeps the worst to play in. It's terrible, like
(01:34:11):
you're just cold, You're miserable. Hite Snow's fun, Hey, snow.
The field was the feelings were bad. And then I
went to Schood, Oregon. Man, it's rained like half our game.
Who have our home games playing a downpour?
Speaker 4 (01:34:24):
Do you remember the Dolphin Steelers game? It was three
nothing Steelers. I'm almost positive Ricky Williams was still playing, yes, yes,
And the field was awful. There was a punt I'm
not kidding, went straight into the ground and didn't bounce
at all. I loved that game, though there are people
are like, oh that was the word. I loved that game.
You just you couldn't take your eyes off of it.
Speaker 5 (01:34:45):
It was that bad. You guys have seen some film.
I'm sure of Lombardi and the Ice Bowl. I mean
those little metal benches, the stand that's football. I want
to see something like that before I die. I want
to be at a game like that where an ice
Bowl situation. I know it's crazy, but just to be
in something like seeing those old films and you know,
seeing Lombardi all bundled up and just really cool stuff,
(01:35:08):
no doubt.
Speaker 4 (01:35:09):
All right, we've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran,
played in sleet, you know, snow mud and everything. Bill
Krackenberger sports handicapping from crackwins dot com. I'm Brian no
krack and I have watched games that were played in sleet,
snow mud. Hey, every time you make a wage and
(01:35:30):
we probably bet on those games too. Every time you

with the PAC twelve. Not that crack isn't, but Jeff,
(01:36:37):
you played in that conference, and now it's reduced to
the Pack four, as everybody has bolded. And Stanford I
can't get over this. Stanford is begging the ACC. They
have told the ACC they're willing to join the conference
on reduced art or even no media rights payout free, like,
(01:36:58):
don't even pay us. It's fine, We just we gotta
be somewhere. Is where Stanford is right now, and it
shows you. Listen, Stanford's really good in the Olympic sports.
They're not good in the sports that generate a lot
of money, which is football and basketball. And that's why
they're willing to join the ACC for free that I mean,
I get it, but it is unreal to think about
(01:37:21):
that where in this day and age with all the
cash and Stanford just doesn't have the cachet right to
get the cash. Yeah, and so they're willing to join
for free.
Speaker 6 (01:37:31):
This is what SMU said to the a SEC as well,
is we'll join for free and just want to be
in a conference.
Speaker 5 (01:37:38):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:37:40):
The Oregon of Washington went to the Big ten for
half a share, knowing that in five or six years
when they renegotiate, they get a full share, right, so
that the money Organ's Presence said will make fifty five
million dollars on average over ten years, which is just
exactly right. Look, wachable realignment. It's hit me pretty hard.
Speaker 5 (01:38:03):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:38:04):
My parents are are Bruin alums, usul alums. I'm from
Los Angeles. I grew up going every US home game.
I played at Oregon. My other day job is Pacto
Radio and Sirius XM for the last five seasons. You know,
I view the sport very regionally, right, and regionality is
over now right, it's done. There's no more regionality to
(01:38:24):
the sports. It's been. It's been killed. Even in the
conference that remain the Big Ten stretches from New Jersey
to California up to Seattle. Like that could get out
of here, right. The SEC, I guess is sort of close, right.
I mean the furthest west they go is Oklahoma, Missouri,
and Texas. I mean it's I can buy that. Okay,
Texas in the South, sure I could buy that. You know,
the ACC goes from Syracuse all the way south to
(01:38:47):
Miami west to Notre Dame ish right, Louisville. The Big
Twelve goes from Tucson to Morgantown. Sure, whatever, And you
know the Big Ten, you know, the ACC a Stanford
and Call could definitely make that. You know even even
you know a west coast to East coast market. So
regionally it really sucks, right, you lose the originality of
(01:39:09):
the sport. The things we like about college sports, the
you know, the the scar tissue, the share traditions, the rivalries,
knowing your opponent. I mean, you might not know who
the quarterback at Stanford is, but I know if Oregon
goes to Stanford, were in for a world to hurt.
We just always suck playing those games, right, That's all gone.
But nationally we're gonna get much better football games. The
(01:39:30):
game is gonna be better, right you get a Penn State,
USC at Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State, Ucla at Texas, Alabama,
WI you already get this year non conference slate right
at Georgia Oklahoma. Just much better games. And I think
teams are just trying to find lifeboats any way they
can to survive. I mean, you know, the Big Twelve,
which was thought to be dead, survive this round of realignment.
(01:39:52):
You look at Stanford and cow they're just trying to
find a home because the Pack twelve was done. I
know there's talk about, hey, we could merge and this
and that. It's done. It's it's no longer what it
once was. There's many reasons for that, but it's just over.
It's over as we know it. And dan Ford's trying
to find a home. Col's trying to find a home,
(01:40:13):
Oregon State in Washington trying to find homes. I just
didn't think a conference that had been around for one
hundred and eight years, one hundred eighteen years would just
be gone vanished overnight. But that's the reality of college
sports now.
Speaker 5 (01:40:25):
I actually read this article on SI Sports Illustrated. It's
hard to believe. I wanted to actually read it again.
I pulled it up. In twenty twenty one, the endowment
to Stanford was thirty eight billion.
Speaker 6 (01:40:37):
Yes, that's unbelievable. It doesn't it doesn't have anything do
with sports though.
Speaker 5 (01:40:41):
I know. But I'm just saying that this team is
such a wealth that this school is such a wealthy school.
They will Brian said at the beginning, they'll not only
a discounted rate zero. I mean, but I think they're
behind Harvard as far as money coming in. But this
team they just want a home, like you said, So
this should be listen, all, this can't make me any money.
(01:41:03):
I need to Well then again, maybe it could though
maybe Jeff, maybe, like you said, maybe maybe there'd be
some better games.
Speaker 6 (01:41:08):
And but but those better games are the ones that
you should not the typically.
Speaker 5 (01:41:12):
That's right. They're like they're betting like NFL again, like
a lot of when I looked to be at college games,
I'm looking at about the little small schools. H Like
I said on Showtime Action, I'm looking at the bet.
Main I'm looking about the small, little tiny school I'm
not looking at bet Stanford.
Speaker 6 (01:41:25):
I don't have my I think I have it I'll
post it this week at some point. But you know,
I've wager in the PAC twelve now in twenty nineteen,
twenty twenty was we didn't do it because its COVID.
It was a weird year. And then twenty twenty one
and twenty twenty two full time. I post my plays
every Friday on social media at Jeff Schwartz. They're all transparent.
I'm at sixty two percent those over the of those
three years because all I do is cover the conference
(01:41:47):
full time. I'm the lines typically I started. I start
kind of slow in non conference slate. I'm trying to
adjust some things this year for that, But when when
when when the conference slate comes around? Man, I've been
on a conference, just conference the conference play. I'm above
seventy percent, like I because I just follow crack to
your point, like I follow it every day. I think
the lines are terrible. A lot of times they don't
(01:42:08):
know who's hot, they don't know who's not. I mean,
I made so much money last year in Colorado. I
was on that early buddy. I mean I faded them
every single week. Things like that where you sort of
understand who's good who's bad. The injuries, the coaching, the
motivation of teams, and so betting a single conference or
(01:42:29):
a smaller conference can pay a lot of dividends.
Speaker 4 (01:42:32):
You know, it's crazy to me. It's not just what conferences,
which ones are saying yes to teams. It makes sense
for the Big ten to say yes to USC, you
know in Oregon. I get that, but I find it
really interesting the conferences that are saying no to schools
where the SEC is like, yeah, Florida State, we're not
interested right now. Or you go back to twenty eleven
(01:42:54):
when the Pac twelve said no to four schools, including
Texas and Oklahoma.
Speaker 6 (01:42:59):
They said to many things that went wrong on the
pack toll, they said no to Texas. Here's the thing
about this that, Brian, that's really hard to and again
I cover this every day and it's still part of
my brain to wrap around. You know, It's not about
your strength of your athletic program. It certainly helps, right,
it's where you live. Right Like UCLA again, I'm a
(01:43:21):
bruined fan. No one watches them play football. It does
not matter they have won the conference. Well, I was saying,
they have not won the conference in football since nineteen
ninety eight. Okay, they've won one basketball championship since nineteen
seventy five. Like they're not No one watches them play sports.
But they're in Los Angeles. They're included, right, Rutgers in Maryland.
(01:43:44):
They're including Big Ten because Florida State's and Tallahassee, Okay,
Clemson's and Clemson South Carolina. The market is just not
there for the SEC to say we're gonna dilute irish
shares of what we already have to bring you in
the conference. If if ESPN says, because they're in charge
of this SEC, we'll give you more money, they'll be
(01:44:05):
in the Big Ten. Had to throw money in for
Oregon and Washington that Fox did for to go to
the Big Ten. Otherwise they weren't going. So no one
wants to dilute their shares to added extra teams. The
benefit of the ACEC add in Callen Stanford is that
they can most likely renegotiate their deal with ESPN and
try to get more money for those schools like Florida State,
(01:44:26):
Clems and like, they'll want more money, right, they want
out of this deal. That's why that to me, that's
the motivation for adding them. It's to renegotiate and talk
to ESPN again. It's about the money, and Florida State
and Clemson don't have homes right now because no one's
willing to kick you. If you're ESPN, you're already paying
them a set and a set number. They see, why
are you gonna pay them more money? The PAC twelve
(01:44:46):
had no TV deal, Like, it's easy to say, we'll
take you know, we'll take you U s in USC,
we'll take Oregon and Washington. No one's locked into paying
them any money now they are. Obviously they're locked into
playing Florida State and Clemson at a fair rate for
ES and so I don't wantly see them having to
go above and beyond to move them to SEC.
Speaker 4 (01:45:05):
Well that's the thing. It comes back to Stanford, where
I totally get it. You don't want to dilute the
shares of everybody. You got this pie in the ACC.
These schools are making X amount. You don't want them
to get a smaller share. Whether they're already unhappy because
you add more schools where Stanford's like, it's cool, we
don't need any pie. Like if they still say no
(01:45:25):
to that, that's crazy to me. But as someone who
is not crazy whatsoever. He is a well thought man,
He is well groomed, he is a humanitarian. I would
go on to say he is Isaac Loohen Crown with
the latest what's going on?
Speaker 6 (01:45:40):
I love.
Speaker 7 (01:45:40):
All I can say is two out of three eight
bad and I'll leave it at that. Indeed, Brian, we
start with the NFL, with the New York Post reporting
today that Aaron Rodgers will make his Jets debut in
next Saturday's pre season finale against the New York Giants.
NFL media reported today Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Miles Jack retiring
(01:46:00):
from the NFL. On Saturday night, the preseason game at
lambeau Field between the Patriots and Packers was suspended in
the fourth quarter because of an injury to Patriots cornerback
Isaiah Bolden, who was taken to a hospital after an
inadvertent helmet to helmet collision with a teammate. The Patriots
said Bolden had feeling in all of his extremities. They
(01:46:21):
announced this morning that Bolden has now been released from
the hospital and will travel home with the team today.
Bolden himself, tweeting today, appreciate the prayers. More excited to
be back with the guys. Today, Spain won the Women's
World Cup with a one nothing victory over England on
a goal by Alga Carmona in the twenty ninth minute.
(01:46:41):
And here's how it sounded on the radio in Spain.
Here are Fernando Cardinal and Mickey Camino with a techno
soundtrack on Tablero Deportivo.
Speaker 1 (01:46:56):
RNE.
Speaker 4 (01:46:58):
Fine and Fellas.
Speaker 7 (01:47:25):
If only Pat summer All and John Madden had a
techno soundtrack in the background for all those classic NFC
clashes back in the eighties.
Speaker 4 (01:47:33):
Back to you, Yeah, absolutely no doubt about that. It's
Fox Sports Radios count Down to Kickoff, presented by Bett MGM.
Fellas if we shift it to the NFL. The Offensive
Rookie of the Year futures market has caught my attention,
and it's funny because this has been the off season
of AH. These running backs shouldn't get paid for this
(01:47:55):
reason and that reason. We're valuing other positions. I get
all of that, but it it's gone too far as
if running backs aren't valuable whatsoever. I get that you
have to prioritize other positions, that's fine, but for it
to get so far off into AH, they don't even matter.
It's just gotten too far. If you look at the
offensive Rookie of the Year futures market, Bjeon Robinson, the
(01:48:18):
Falcons running back, is the overwhelming favorite. He's at plus
two fifty. Next in line couple of quarterbacks Bryce Young
at plus four to fifty, Anthony Richardson at seven to one,
Jamiir Gibbs at plus seven to fifty. So you get
two of the four guys are running backs in the
offensive Rookie of the Year market, and we get it.
(01:48:39):
Oftentimes rookie quarterbacks don't hit the ground running. I understand
all of that, but I do love that you get
a little bit of a blast from the past in
terms of the running back position being valued more with
Bjon Robinson at the top of this list. But I
love I think Bjon Robinson's going to have a specd
(01:49:00):
season for the Falcons. They love running the ball, Jeff.
They are committed to the running game, and that dude
is an absolute stud I could see him having And look,
C J. Stroud is fifth on this list. Yeah, you
know who's sixth, Jackson Smith and Jigba one of his
five first round wide receivers.
Speaker 6 (01:49:19):
You know, so c J.
Speaker 4 (01:49:20):
Stroud to go from what he had at Ohio State
to what he doesn't have with Houston. I just don't
see him hitting the ground running. It's hard for me
to see a quarterback outside of Bryce Young maybe winning
this award. I just don't see it with c J.
Stroud or Anthony Richardson.
Speaker 6 (01:49:35):
Well, they ave a Richardson take would be the rushing
and the and they kind of these explosive plays, right
that look that this isn't sort of my heisman thing
all the time is like people say, well so and
so had a lot of passing yards, great, but like
did they have those rushing plays? Because you don't see
(01:49:57):
a often times a highlight package of a quarterback nowadays
throwing balls in the pocket. It's like all you know,
even Mahomes yesterday, the highlight coming out of yesterday was
an incomplete pass he threw where he was running out
of bounds, jumped off of one foot and threw it sideways.
And that's that's that's the highlight of mystery. It's not
(01:50:18):
even a complete of pass. So to me, Anthony Richardson
has the ability to make those plays. Not he's I'm saying,
I'm not saying it's mahomes, don't don't aggregate this, but
he has the ability physically Brian to make some special plays.
Is that enough to win the award? I don't know,
but to me it's it's it's guys with hype, right,
it's Bryce Young, and I think people want Beijeon to
(01:50:40):
win this award. They want running backs to sort of
make that quote unquote come back and it happens with
a guy drafted eighth overall from correct, right, he was
eighth overall somewhere around there, right, yep, And they want
Bijon to be that guy. He looked good as a
couple of reps we saw two days ago. I think
they I think Bijeon people are gonna want Bejon to
win this award, But I think quarterback wise, it's Young
(01:51:03):
Richardson and then I would bet on Bijon to uh
to have this award. Those three will be my options.
Speaker 4 (01:51:10):
Is that like one through three? For Young Richardson Robinson,
I well.
Speaker 6 (01:51:16):
Bryce Zalon's gonna play right away and they have the
he has the best surrounding pieces in the division. Where
I think they have a chance to win it. It
would go probably Bryce Young first for me, then probably
Anthony Richard, and then Bejon Robinson.
Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
I think with uh Man, you just think Falcons Panthers.
You know, if if the Falcons either team, if they
end up winning the division, that obviously be a big
boost for the rookies. You would have to imagine, I
just look at Bijon. They're gonna run the ball a lot,
and he's a really good pass catcher out of the backfield.
And you have to imagine what Desmond Ritter doesn't have
a whole lot of experience dumping it off to Bijon.
(01:51:52):
It makes a lot of sense. So I think he's
gonna have a really good year. But if the Falcons
don't end up winning that division and they don't have
a whole lot of wins, which is possible, obviously gonna
hurt his chances. I just like that in the off season,
of all these running backs, there's no reason to pay
these running backs don't do it. Don't even think Bijon
Robinson is at the top of the list with the
(01:52:14):
offensive Rookie of the Year odds. I just like the
timing of that.
Speaker 6 (01:52:18):
It is interesting, right, But again I think there is
a there's gonna be a like a push to Bijon's
that good to want for him to win this award.
Speaker 4 (01:52:32):
There might be, there might be, We'll see how it
shakes out. I'm so interested to see how these rookie
quarterbacks fare, especially early in the season, because we'll get
back to that where you think about Anthony Richardson first
first start at home against Jacksonville getting points. We'll nibble
on that game a little bit. Plus we'll get you
some picks, get you the plays of the day. Coming
(01:52:54):
up next, we've got Jeff Schwartz, eight year NFL veteran
Bill Krack sports handicapper from crack wins dot Com. I'm
Brian No. This is Fox Sports Radios Countdown to Kickoff,
back for another season, presented by bet MGM. It is
Fox Sports Radios count Down to Kickoff, presented by bet MGM.
(01:53:16):
Props to the crew today, outstanding job as always Bo Benson,
our trusted producer, Iowa Sam technical producer Isaac Lowencron on
the updates top of the hour. Stay tuned right here
Fox Sports Radio. It's Fox Sports Sunday with Steve Hartman
and Rich Ornberger. You know, Jeff, if we just dip
(01:53:37):
our big toe in the week, one. Waters here in
the NFL. You did mention subtly during the show you
like the Colts plus the three and a half against Jacksonville.
Home dogs are barking with Anthony Richardson in his first start.
Speaker 6 (01:53:51):
Huh, especially in Week one. Man, Week one is a
great position to take some of these home dogs. I'm
I'm okay with that one my favorite home dog. I
can't I still can't believe this line is what it is.
It's Steelers plus three at home against the Niners. I'm like,
in awe, this is the line. The Niners maybe have
(01:54:12):
a healthy quarterback. I just think people are really understanding
Pittsburgh who went into Cincinnati last year and beat him
in Week one if you remember right, That to me
is a line that I just don't get. I'll go
I take the Steelers plus three in this I will
almost go all dogs in Week one. I feel like, yeah,
(01:54:32):
the Rams are getting five points on the road at Seattle.
That feels to me like a little heavy on that
number there. If the Rams are back healthy and ready
to roll, and then you like week one, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:54:46):
I haven't done like a cannon ball into the Week
one Waters, but I hear what you're saying, I would. Actually,
the Colts haven't won in Week one over the last decade.
It's like they're all eight and one in their last night.
I no, no, I know, I know. I'm not disagreeing
with your pick. I'm just saying, for added value, if
(01:55:09):
I'm thinking about a parlay, I'd add the Jags on
the money line. It's too sed up to minus a
dollar one eighty five. I don't love that, but extra
value for a parlay. That's one of those deals, Jeff,
where if the Jags just go on the road and
lose outright to Anthony Richardson and his debut, I strug
my shoulders and say, hey, it's the NFL. I'm not
(01:55:30):
even really mad at that, but I would look at
that as added value for a parlay. But I like
what you're thinking here as far as the home dogs go,
because there are some interesting matchups. Think about the Patriots
plus four against the Eagles, like hosting the defending NFC champs.
So there are some really really good lines. The Cowboys
(01:55:51):
minus three and a half divisional game on the road, I.
Speaker 6 (01:55:55):
Know against the side. No, don't do the Giants either.
I'm just gotta see the gioht Can, I interject, one
could football game next weekend, because we're gonna have cult
troll ball before we're back on next time.
Speaker 4 (01:56:06):
But how about this, Let's let's package it nice and
neatly into our blaze here, rapid fire style.
Speaker 5 (01:56:13):
Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (01:56:17):
Rapid fire all right?
Speaker 4 (01:56:20):
What are you thinking here, Jeff?
Speaker 6 (01:56:21):
I like the over in the US, he San Jose
states soon as I think offensively got some juice back
from last year. The projected quarterback of the year is
leading their quarterback here in the Mountain West, leading their squads.
They have experienced offensive line back. They're gonna score points,
and USC's defense is untrustworthy and US he's gonna score
(01:56:43):
forty five points and it's a USC. I like the open.
It's alost sixty three and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:56:46):
I think here, okay, a little hurricane that's not gonna
keep crack away from us. Okay, he's back. What do
you like in today or throughout the week?
Speaker 6 (01:56:56):
Here?
Speaker 5 (01:56:56):
Craft there? You know, if you guys talk about week one,
I'm actually looking at some points beach scored. I think
Seattle on the Rams. Actually we'll get some points scored
in that game. I'm looking at over forty seven and
a half right now as far as Week one goes,
but also wanted to say the preseason lines next week, guys,
check out those first half lines. Very important to find
(01:57:18):
out who's start and how many reps are getting in.
Very important. Follow the beat Riders. There'll be some great
plays next week preseason for the last week of preseason.
Speaker 4 (01:57:26):
Okay, it's probably my last baseball bet as we're getting
knee deep into the football season here. But I'm gonna
say this subtly because they've been so bad lately. I
like the Yankees today. It's an absolutely stinky line. The
Yankees are getting lit up by the Red Sox, and
they've got Clark Schmidt on the mound tonight and their
(01:57:48):
favorite that just absolutely reeks. I would take the Yankees
minus a dollar fifteen today. By the way, you like
the preseason game tonight, crack you like under thirty seven
and a half?
Speaker 5 (01:57:58):
Yeah, I leaned it out under there. MGM still has it.
Speaker 4 (01:58:01):
Oh yeah, there you go, very nice. Enjoy Saints Chargers tonight.
We will reconvene next week as we inch closer and
closer to games. Mattering
